Samsung Dryer Model DVE45B6300P-A3
Bought the Samsung DMT800RHS dishwasher from Lowes and installed it. After about 6 months of use, I noticed the top rack was sagging and not very sturdy. I noticed the adjustment clips were broken off the rack and I found 3 of them in the bottom of the dishwasher. I thought it was strange because we had never used the adjusters to raise or lower the rack. I called Samsung and described the problem so they looked up the date of purchase and said they would send out new adjusters to replace them. I got the parts and installed them. After about 4 months I noticed that 2 had broken off again - I knew it was a design flaw. I checked another model at Lowes and noticed they had a different design on that dishwasher for the upper rack. One morning after running the dishwasher the night before, I opened the door and began removing dishes - they were still dirty and there was liquid soap running down the door inside that had not dissolved. I reloaded the dirty dishes and turned it on. It filled with water, but the motor did not run and there was no washing. After checking out the control board (okay) and talking with Samsung, I tackled the problem myself. I removed the wash arm, unscrewed the filter module, removed the housing and found one of the broken clips wedged in the pump motor. After removing the piece and reassembling the module, it filled up with water and started washing. Samsung needs to provide a retrofit for the rack adjusters and send to all of their customers. I am considering making a clamp to wrap around the adjuster and the rack to keep it from falling below. Put my name on the list of dissatisfied consumers and contact me for a retrofit when available.
I purchased two Samsung appliances (refrigerator and dishwasher) in November of 2015 from Home Depot. I spent almost $5000 on appliances (fridge, dish washer and stove). Small rust spots started to appear several months after I bought the appliances in February (on the dishwasher and in March on the refrigerator). The rust spots kept growing and getting worse. I only used stainless steel cleaner on them. I spent 4 weeks trying to resolve this issue with Home Depot in March and then with Samsung warranty department in April with no luck. I am told that this is a cosmetic issue and is not covered under warranty. This rusting appears that at some point in the near future, it will rust entirely through the front panel. This is an issue with the materials used to produce this product. My two main concerns with their warranty clause regarding the rust issue are as follows:1- Stainless steel should not rust to this extent where the surface has actually become pitted and especially within 5 months of coming from the factory warehouse. This amount of rusting and pitting should never happen to a stainless steel item. I was asked does the appliance still work? Yes? Then it is cosmetic. 2- Stainless steel should not be magnetic. The steel used on these appliances are most likely a ferritic steel that has a high concentration of IRON which would also explain the RUST issue. A magnet can actually stick to the front of these appliances. They are a cheap grade steel. They do not disclose the type of steel used on their products nor do they disclose that the appliance could start rusting the day after you purchase it and it is not covered under warranty. Samsung should disclose this to their customers. If you are going to build appliances with ferritic steel then you need to call them stainless ferritic steel. At least tell your customers who are spending their hard earned money what they are actually buying. That would be the least that you could do. It is deceiving, and dishonest, and defrauding to the customers.I received no help whatsoever from Samsung after calling and trying to get help on the issue for almost 4 weeks. I was simply told that they do not warranty cosmetic issues. I am extremely disappointed with this product, with samsung as a company, with their response to my issues. I have spent hours to try to resolve the issues with little response other than rust is cosmetic and not covered under warranty. They take no responsibility for selling you a cheap rusty piece of junk.
We bought an RF267 series refrigerator. And like many on this site, we started to experience problems with the ice maker right away. It only makes ice when it feels like it. Sometimes we will go for a couple of months without any ice, and then it starts to make ice with no warning. Most of the time it just makes clunking and popping noises. This has gone on for a couple of years and after reading about all of the other problems, I am afraid to have it repaired. It seems I am lucky compared to most of you. I also have two Samsung TVs that after just a couple of years experienced pixel problems and then just simply wont power up when the power button is pressed. I can safely say that I wont buy another Samsung product.
I have had this Samsung refrigerator (model RF266AERS) for at least 10 years. It has a one touch pure water dispenser (I chose the inside dispenser) and it’s easy to change the water filter which doesn’t take up much space in the back of the fridge. It also lets you know when to change the filter. The bins are removable and the shelves are adjustable. The freezer bin holds a ton of food and I chose to have the ice machine inside the freezer which makes ice on a regular basis. It is easy to clean both inside and out. Its design is a very pretty. I have never had to get it repaired, so I never had to use the warranty. It runs very quiet. All in all, I would give it a 10!
I bought a Samsung mirror-finished two-door fridge at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2007, in Geant Store Khuraise. My kids phoned me that it is not getting cold. I said to them, they must switch it off as it might burn them. It never made some ice. It was installed by Nirvana Ageng Samsung Polopkoane. I told them the same agent came and open my fridge, and he said it is the compressor. I must wait so that they can check if it is still under warranty. They never came back.We kept on calling him, but no answer. I went to Bokstreet Samsung branch. They said it is not under warranty. If it never makes some ice, they will fix it, but I will pay all costs+transportation. Now it is about 3 years. I reported it to South Africa, and Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. I need my money back or a new fridge. I will give you up to the end of this month. I will go to LG. I paid a lot of money for that fridge. I have already sent my complaint to consumer lawyers.
Purchased 2010 & got extended warranty (which I usually dont do). Have had 2 Motherboards in the last year, new fan motor, fan was encased in ice both times and repairman had to thaw it with hairdryer so as not to break the plastic. Was told that when we have a power surge and the temps say 888, hold down the middle buttons on each side of the temp numbers for 15 seconds. That sets the temp again. Now my fridge says 36 degrees but water bottles at the back freeze solid, and also tomatoes in the front. Thank GOD I had the warranty, but I also will never buy Samsung again!
I bought a Samsung electric stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher mostly because Samsung had received top ratings from JD Power for six years in a row. Within the first six months, the plastic around the edges of the glass shelves began cracking in several places, most of which were in places which could not have been bumped or struck. When I called customer service, their first response was to blame me. After about 15 minutes of discussion they did send me out one new shelf. Within a year, the plastic on another shelf began cracking. Withing three years, one of the front burners on the electric stove stayed on high when set at any level. When I called customer service, I was told that they would send someone out to inspect it, and replace it if necessary with a cost of $200/hr (with a minimum of 1 hour) since I did not buy the extended warranty, but there would be no charge for the part since it was under a 5-year warranty. I offered to send them the defective part if they would send me a replacement. They refused, saying that I would have to pay the $200/hour service charge to get the part under warranty. I had to pay $47 to get the part, despite the warranty, so I could replace it myself. Within six months, the other front burner had the same defect. I can only guess that Samsung was able to buy the high rating from JD Power because of the problems and extremely poor customer service I experienced with the Samsung products I have purchased.
We had our Samsung French Door refrigerator for about six months when the ice maker would not stop making ice when the bucket was full and then get jammed up with ice up at the top of the maker. After clearing the ice and resetting the maker multiple times, I called Samsung. The phone tech was very hard to understand, since he was from India (although he was always polite). He walked me through several resets and then, instead of sending a service tech as I requested, he had me turn the ice maker off for several days and then turn it back on and reset it with the intent of clearing the machine. It did not work. More jamming of ice. Today I called service again and they are sending a service tech with a new ice maker. I will update my experience after the install and a reasonable time to see if it functions correctly. However, I do not feel it was appropriate for them to postpone service when the problem had persisted for almost a month prior to my call and I am not pleased that the ice maker failed when the refrigerator is only six months old.
I just bought a Samsung French door refrigerator rf263beaesg and waited 2 hours for the unit to get cold. The inside temperature has not changed one degree! I called the company I bought it from. No help. The lady answered the phone gave me the number to Samsung. They offered no help except to say I have to wait 24 hours. I wished they would have told me that before my old fridge was towed out! Meanwhile Ive bought cheaper refrigerators and they were cold in less than an hour. $1400.00 fridge, 24 hours. Go figure. Technology failed in this case! So is that how its an energy saver by not working?
RFG297AA/XAA - My wife purchased this fridge from Lowes 03/09/2009. We had a problem of water pooling and freezing the deli tray to freezer. I finally removed back panel to take a look at frozen coil. There is a drain so I am not sure why water is draining to interior of fridge. After reading comments this is definitely a common problem for Samsung fridges, but when speaking with customer service they do not seem to have any knowledge of problem.
DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER! My wife and I purchased this dishwasher in February 2014. It lured us in with its beautiful looks and promise of quiet operation. For nine months this dishwasher worked flawlessly. It cleaned our dishes well and you could never tell this thing was in operation when it was running. During the first week of November we got an LE code and the dishwasher shut down. The manual told us to cut the power to it and call Samsung for service. It took two weeks to get a technician to our house and he had to order a new control module and a new leak sensor. Apparently LE is the fault code for leak. When the Technician replaced these items the machine started working again. Two days before Thanksgiving the dishwasher stopped working again and was flashing the LE code again. This time it took almost a month for the Technician to get to our house and he couldnt find the leak so he ordered an entire Sump Assembly since Samsung told him this is the only other thing that could be wrong. Christmas Eve, the technician came out and replaced the Sump Assembly and got the machine running again. On New years day, a week after the repair, our dishwasher stopped working again and was displaying this dreaded LE code again. I immediate called Samsung and they scheduled the repair man to arrive for another repair today but the machine started working again yesterday (assuming the water leak dried up) and the repair tech called Samsung to explain to them the situation. Samsung told the repair tech since he couldnt recreate the problem theyre not going to recognize there was a problem and they were not going to pay for the service call. Even the repairman was disgusted with this and called his supervisor to explain the situation and jumped through hoops to find a way to keep us from paying for the service call. He even called the store we bought the machine from and explained the situation to them which lead to the store telling me to bring this piece of junk in to them tomorrow and theyll give me a new machine of equal value and different brand name.I went online and entered the model number of this dishwasher in google and I am in shock from the amount of complaints I see about this dishwasher and theyre all the same complaint. That LE code and the inability to get it fixed and Samsung refusing to do anything more than toss new parts at it. This dishwasher is in need to be recalled but Samsung will not acknowledge it. PEOPLE PLEASE!!! DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER! There needs to be a class action lawsuit brought up against this company. Also everyone that has been ripped off by this company needs to simply contact the Federal Trade Commission and make them aware of this Samsung sponsored con game being ran on American consumers.
I purchased my Samsung counter depth French door refrigerator on 9/13/2016. Since then I have had the ice maker replaced 5 times and am scheduled for another replacement next Thursday. They have offered me a 50% off coupon for a new refrigerator but I have no desire to purchase another refrigerator at this time since I recently retired. I was told that it was a poor design unfortunately.
This thing has leaked water for 2 years. Now there is ice coming through all of the air vents. The digital temperature control doesnt work. I called a repairman this morning and gave him the make and model. He calmly advised me to take it outside and throw it into the street. He said if I had a gun, I should shoot it. He couldnt in good conscience take my money in a vain attempt to repair what he called the biggest piece of crap refrigerator ever manufactured. I took his advice and bought a Frigidaire.
We purchased our Samsung Microwave (SMH1816S) for our kitchen remodel and had it installed in April 2014. The microwave died on 3/30/15, getting the dreaded error code of 5E. We called Samsung (800-726-7864) on 3/30/15. Having read these reviews, we were prepared for the worst, and that is exactly what we got. DENIAL, DENIAL, DENIAL. We were told our warranty no longer existed. Even worse, they told us our Model number and Serial number didnt even come up! They consistently told me they could give me the number of their service center, but that we would have to pay for the repairs. I argued for 45 minutes with ** explaining to her that we would in NO way pay for the repair of a defective product… something that Samsung is FULLY aware, yet continues to deny. She then said she would have the Tech. Dept. call me the next day. No one got back with me so I called back on 4/2/15 and spoke with ** which got me nowhere, so demanded to speak with a Supervisor. I then spoke with ** of Executive Customer Relations. He, again, tried to deny that Samsung has a serious problem with their microwaves. I cited the over 300 complaints on Consumer Affairs. After 45 minutes of arguing, he finally relented and said they would send a repair tech out at no cost but that the only part they would cover would be the control panel as this is the part that seemed to be the cause of our complaint based upon our error code. Today, 4/10/15, the repairman came out and replaced the control panel. And, not surprisingly, the microwave is still dead! He claimed it must be the main board that needs replacing as the new control panel did not solve the problem. As he only brought a new control panel, he said he would send in our repair results and that someone would contact me. I asked him what a new main board would run and he said he had no idea what the cost of parts ran as only the Joplin, MO. office would know.At this point, I am totally disgusted with Samsung. Seems to me that if it is not the control panel, then it is something else. Bottom line is these microwaves are crap and whats more frustrating is that Samsung is fully aware of it, yet will not take appropriate action… such as recall them. All I know is that when I am contacted, I am ready to fight once again for this worthless item to be fixed BY Samsung at no cost to us. We have not even used this microwave for 1 year and for it to die on us, is absurd! Would love to hear about anyone elses similar experience with failure of the main board. I can only reiterate what everyone else seems to feel… why has a Class Action Lawsuit not been put in action? I know this is a long standing complaint and is extremely common. Is there not an attorney in the house who has experienced this problem with Samsung Microwaves? I will be the first to sign the petition if the challenge is created. I will write more about our travails once Samsung calls me. And if they fail to do so, I will be calling them! NO ONE SHOULD PUT UP WITH SAMSUNGS DENIAL FOR REPAIR! If you dont get what you want, fight for what is right! It has worked for me thus far. They simply cannot keep denying these claims.Updated on May 5, 2015: This is a continuation of a previous review published 4/10/15. It is vital that every Samsung consumer read this tip. We went through the same agony as everyone in dealing with Samsung and their refusal to acknowledge or assist in the repair of these defective microwaves. We spent hours on the phone with several Samsung employees.. most in the management dept. Each phone call got us the usual response... we can provide you with the number of a service repair company but the cost is up to you. Just so you understand, I do not put up with lies nor do I put up with injustices. I do not let them go. It was not until after I finally demanded to speak with someone in their LEGAL DEPARTMENT that I got any satisfactory response. I was told that the only thing they could give me was the email address for their legal dept. So, I wrote the Legal Dept.. ** on 4/16/15. I expressed my disgust with Samsung and urged them to read the reviews on ConsumerAffairs.com. I pointed out to them that they were completely unethical in their handling of the hundreds (actually probably thousands if you take into account those who just did not write a review on ConsumerAffairs) of complaints as to the dreaded defective microwaves. I warned them that a Class Action Lawsuit seemed to be encouraged by most. On 4/17/15, I received an email from the Legal Dept. (I will not give the name as it seems the names are bleeped out). The email approved the cost of repair for our microwave. We, too, had the common 5E/SE error code. The technician came out on 4/21/15 to make the repair. Turns out we had to have the motherboard replaced (having already replaced the control panel) before the oven worked properly. We do not feel the headaches are over. It seems as if many of these issues arise again after a few months of use. We will not be surprised when/if this happens again. Bottom line, these microwaves need to be recalled or a Class Action Lawsuit should prevail. Samsung is only putting a temporary fix on these defects. Since the Legal Dept. acted as if my complaint was new to them, I can only encourage everyone to write the Legal Dept. of Samsung to voice their complaint and to get appropriate action. Hopefully this helps all of you who are getting nowhere with Samsung.
Samsung dishwasher has a great capacity size. It is very quiet when operating and cleans as well as any others Ive had over the past 40 yrs. The stainless steel look is very updated and it doesnt stick out from the cabinets. I would purchase this brand again. It is a good fit for a large family or someone who has lots of company!
I purchased a stainless steel Samsung dishwasher from PC Richard. I used it for almost 13 months until It started having problems with the blinking lights on the control panel. I contacted the store which then gave me the customer service number for Samsung. When I finally reached the help desk, I was told the warranty had expired and if I wanted a service tech to come fix the problem, it would cost $125 just to come and check what was causing the problem and then I would have to pay for new parts. This is a disgrace, since it was not even a month that the warranty had expired. I looked for recalls on this model#DW80F600 series. Customer service was rude and completely disacknowledged my complaint.
RF24FSEDBSR Apr 2013 Counter Depth French Door 7 repairs already. Samsung HORRIBLE to deal with, keep losing my information. Then get handed off to someone who will get to the bottom of this and never calls back. Get through to same number, guess what... No record of my call but they will get right on it... Keep asking me to use my extended warranty vs admitting it is a defect. Ice maker completely freezes up, stop working leaks... shorts out the board on the deli drawer... replaced 3 times wont stop making alarm sounds from door... 3 ice makers later still same issue... Repair man said, this fridge keeps us in business. Seal is a joke and repair parts already more than a new fridge but Samsung has paid $0.00 so they dont care. We bought the fridge for the ice maker as our son has severe medical condition and his meds/foods need icing at all times. This just sucks for over $3000.00 refrigerator. Samsung do the right thing and replace this nightmare.
Brought Samsung French door fridge with freezer at bottom in 2015. In 2019 the icemaker doesnt work, the inside fridge area icing up. The freezer draw broken, the door wont close properly, the little compartments inside the doors all broke off. 1260$ to fix. Worst experience ever.
Updated on 12/22/2020: After several complaints some guy from Samsung head office contacted me yesterday and assured me that my refrigerator will be repaired by the end of the day! It is more than 24 hrs, no one showed up or even called! I advice people when buying to not look at the brand but its after sales service. Samsung according to me is the worst!Original Review: Service provided by Samsung is atrocious. I advise people to think twice before purchasing Samsung because the after sales service is extremely poor. Its 2 months since I complained about my fridge. Issue not resolved yet!
I purchased Samsung 4 door flex refrigerator July 2018. The ice maker started freezing over and not working and has been doing this every couple of month. I have been thawing it out and reseting it. It’s now December 2019 and no longer reset. I called Samsung and they directed me to a repair company who doesn’t return calls. I’m so unhappy with Samsung as I have looked them up on Youtube and blogs where there are so many complaints about the ice maker not just my model but numerous models. There is also a class action suit. I have always purchased their electronics and I have their washer/dryer which I have not had any problems. Do not buy their refrigerator until they fix this problem.
We purchased our refrigerator in 2012. It has been a problem since we purchased it! The ice maker on top stopped working first. Then the bottom one had so much ice in it that when I tried to open the freezer door the plastic thing inside the ice bin snapped off. Now we have water accumulating in the drawer of the refrigerator. I have read many reviews and posts from here and the Samsung website that are all the same. I do not understand why there has not been a product recall? Our model is RFG298NDRS/XAA. As many others have mentioned here. DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!
Own a Samsung SMH9187ST microwave. In part picked from a Consumer Report rating. Thoroughly disappointed. Has been nothing but trouble. First the rack that came with the unit, caused an arcing/burning inside the unit - had to throw the rack out. Then the Magnetron failed (wouldnt heat), after much arguing with Samsung, they finally sent someone to replace it. Then had another issue with the unit functioning (of course just past the 1 year warranty part); had to replace the sensors at the door (my cost). Then we get the SE error - the remedies online dont work, so, only solution to replace the entire control panel?? This is an extremely poor design. SAMSUNG should not have sold this design. Third appliance of theirs that has been a major disappointment. I will never buy SAMSUNG again.
I purchased a Sumsung dishwasher new and approx. 18 months later, it stopped working. The replacement parts and repair totaled only $115.00 less than I paid for the product new. The repairman said Samsung was NOT dependable, but they often stood behind their products and would pay for parts and/or repair especially since this machine was relatively new. I also heard that if I paid to have this repaired, that Id probably have to call repair in next few years again. Samsung refused to help pay for even the parts, so Im chucking it and buying a Bosch. I dont need bells and whistles, I just need a dishwasher that works.
There is not quite as much room as I expected. Also one of the door shelves broke in the first 4 months. The company was great and sent out repairman who ordered and mailed new shelf. Overall very happy with this fridge.
Samsung model rs265tdbp - We purchased this side by side from Lowes in July 2013. Have had service calls 5 times for constant broken ice maker. Have been told we need to purchase a extended warranty to cover it because were out of warranty. Its a lemon and I wish I had never bought a Samsung and I will never own another Samsung, anything. Horrible customer service!
I purchased this dishwasher from The Bay in July 2017, as it matched my other dark SS appliances. I could not install it until May 2018. Worked great until November 2018. Then we heard a grinding noise in the middle of a cycle. At first we thought it was the water wall arm. Was have since determined it is the Drain pump. Nothing has been caught in the drain that we can access. I live in a remote part of BC on the coast where I travel by ferry. It is impossible to get a Service guy to come here, have been waiting 3 weeks now. I called Samsung 4 times asking if they would at least pay for the cost of a new pump which is about $150. They said NOT UNDER WARRANTY. Go figure a $1,000 dishwasher doesnt last 6 months after install. My previous 20 year old Kenmore worked and is still working when I gave it to my parents. PLEASE DO BYPASS ANY SAMSUNG DISHWASHER PURCHASE. You will have nothing but problems within a short period of time.
I am very dissatisfied with the range. The burners will not change from fast boil to simmer. Two technicians checked the range stating that there is nothing wrong with the burners. I was told that In order to change temperatures, I must turn the range OFF after using fast boil then turn range BACK ON to simmer! Also the black top is very difficult to keep clean. My previous Whirlpool was not a problem. I regret having purchased the 4-piece package. Even the dishwasher basket is not satisfactory. The microwave enamel chipped after 3 months use. I am very careful with my appliances. After saving for a few years to purchase I am disappointed...
I bought this refrigerator at Best Buy. It was a return/open box, so I was a little concerned going in, but I had no idea what I was in for. For the first 3 weeks, it was great. I loved it. It looks GREAT, especially on the inside with the LED lighting, and the icemaker worked well. Noisy, but they all are. After 3 weeks I noticed water would spurt out the back of the dispenser when I got ice or water, then the next day I noticed my ice cream was soft. The temperature controls still said it was -2, but it obviously wasnt. The next day all the ice was melted. After a runaround at Best Buy, I called Samsung. After a hassle there proving Id just bought the thing, they finally sent someone out to look at it from a local repair shop. The repairman groaned when he saw it and said that most of his calls are for Samsung refrigerators, they break down all the time. He ordered said there was a leak in the coolant line and ordered a dye pack, then came back a couple weeks later to install it, then came back a couple weeks later and looked it over again, ordered another part, then came back and said it was fixed. All was good for 2 weeks, then the freezer went out again. Exact same as it had before. He came back out and said he had to order a couple sensors and a new control board for it. Every visit he made it clear that if we were to just return it and get a different fridge. He wouldnt mind at all that hed ordered the parts for nothing. Hint after hint finally sunk in, and we swapped it out for an LG. When the guys delivered the LG and picked up the Samsung, they laughed at the Samsung and said, Yeah, they have a lot of problems. Especially THAT model. You did right getting the LG. Ive since learned this model has been discontinued, no doubt because of its horrific service record.
Just too angry to write right now. I will edit it later. Ice maker is totally junk. The freezer ices over constantly and I have to empty it into a cooler while I remove all the parts of the freezer to scrape and clean them. The slides freeze up as well and it is hard to open. Shortly after that the weatherstripping between the French doors started to tear and so did a part of the gasket on the top of the freezer drawer. I was cleaning the right pull out clear plastic drawer and to get to the spot where things collect, I pressed gently and the whole front broke and fell off ($75 to buy a new one). From the start the customer service has been terrible. At first they had no record of me buying it, and after I scanned and took a picture of it with my phone and sent them in they either said they could not read it or never got it. This went on so long it was passed its warranty. I have never been treated so badly from a company I paid a lot of money to for a fridge and got ZIP! I went through a similar situation with my new Samsung washer that was recalled and I could not get the same replacement so I had to get a smaller size and I was told the soap drawer would have the updated roller bearings and it does not. No response from Samsung or Best Buy for that matter. Never buy a Samsung appliance again!
Bought a Samsung french door fridge a year and a half ago. It had a musty smell in it from the start that we were consistently trying to eliminate. The ice maker is terrible, always jamming, leaking and poor output of ice. After about a year of owning the fridge, part of the cooling system in the fridge section froze over and now the fridge portion does not cool enough to store food in it. The warranty has expired so we are on the hook for repairs for this product which cost $2,000. I have read many reviews of others having this same issue with a Samsung fridge. I would definitely not recommend a Samsung refrigerator. I wish I had done more research on reviews before purchasing.
We purchased the WaterWall dishwasher, three rack on March 22/2016. But we did not have it delivered until mid May because we didn’t move into our house until then. We actually paid 999.00 for it. Up until 6 weeks ago we had no problems with it. We are a retired couple with no children in our home. I would load and use the dishwasher about every 2-3 days. Being only two of us, it wasn’t over worked at all. The Famous 7 E code came to our attention. Not knowing a whole lot about the dishwasher I contacted Samsung and basically got told, I had no warranty. To make matters worse I live 3.5 hours from a appliance repair company. Knowing we could not afford a call out fee for someone to travel to and from our home never mind the cost of the repair, we decided after reading so many complaints about this model we would buy a different brand. It would be cheaper in the long run. My only concern is that if youre going to buy a major appliance. Do your homework and look it up on the reviews. I wish I had done mine and I definitely wouldn’t have bought this machine.
I bought a Samsung Rs2530 Bbp refrigerator from Best Buy in October 2008. It made a lot of ice at first, and we never ran out. In less than a year, it stopped cooling and decreased ice output. I set up a service call, and they replaced something inside behind the icemaker. They told me I needed to have less stuff in the freezer for it to work right. They extended my warranty to three months, and said the icemaker would work. On Christmas Eve, it quit cooling completely; they couldn’t get anyone out until after New Year’s Day. That ruined all my food and our holiday. They then said I cancelled the service call the day I took off to meet with them, and that I had to reschedule. That meant two vacation days off work. They got it running, but it still didnt make much ice. Then the warranty was over. Back in June, the power went out and it quit cooling again. I had one light flashing on the front. I found Jonathan ** of ARC who said he could work on Samsung appliances, and could come the same day--unlike the people Samsung wanted me to use. However, a few hours later the refrigerator just started working, so I told Jonathan I would get him to fix the icemaker in a few weeks. The power went out again last Wednesday; it stopped cooling, and I got the same flashing light. I tried to research the problem online. I found out that either the unit could be reset (didnt work), or it could resolve itself (didnt happen the first day like last time). Also, it could either need a control board (found for $60-$70 dollars), or depending on which light was flashing it could indicate a faulty sensor. Since I didnt know which, I had to call Jonathan. I told him I needed to know what part to replace. He came in asking questions like he hadnt spoken to me like, “So what is this flashing light for?”, “It just isnt freezing?”, “Looks like its working...the lights come on when I opened it.” and “Let me check the compressor.” After digging in it for a little longer, he asked me about the flashing light AGAIN, and said it was the control board. He could fix it for $450.20! He said the spare part was $260 and that he could get it in about three days. He would apply the $89 he was charging for the service call to the bill, or that he could get me the same refrigerator new for about $2000 or used for $1000. Really? I paid less than $900 when I bought it new. I decided to take a loss on the $89, and get the control board since he gave me the part number. Guess what? It wasnt the control board. I replaced it; I tried all the resetting and still had the same problem. I left it in a few hours to see if it would start working. Nope. I took it back out hoping the parts store would take it back. They wouldnt. I stopped payment on Jonathans $89 check, since I was now out of $72 more because of his wrong information, and the food decaying in my refrigerator and freezer. He not only tried to overcharge me for 5 minutes of work, he also misdiagnosed the problem and knew less about it than I did. I decided to just get a used refrigerator over the weekend, but late Friday it just randomly started working again. Okay. I bought new food and cleaned it out. We had a thunderstorm today and lost power. You know the rest; flashing light, not cooling and no one can fix it unless it fixes itself. Samsung shouldnt make refrigerators as I see this or similar problems all over. Jonathan ** of ARC is not qualified to diagnose or make repairs, and will rip you off.
Replacing this dishwasher with a Bosch probably, although I havent read great things about those either. No further resolution required.
We bought Samsung fridge and stove and less than 3 years later we start having problem with them. Fridge was not making ice and not cooling stove. Oven not heating stove. Been repaired 2 times under extended warranty and month later same problem again. Never another Samsung appliance in my home.
A beautiful piece of junk! Pot scrubbing function is terrible, likewise dishwashing function is just as good as the low end GE, meaning awful, dishes actually, always came out worse than when we put them in. Only good thing I will say about Samsung is they told us to cut the cord, send them the picture of it with cord cut, and within 30 days they sent us a check.
Bought a microwave less than 2 months old. Numbers stopped working. Appliance store ordered new door. Second door doesnt work either. Store wont replace oven unless we try a 3rd door. Called Samsung. They said same thing. Now no working microwave. Have to wait week and a half for doors to come in.
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator from Croma, Bangalore on 17/10/2014. Model number FF253LRT27HAJMASE. In June I noticed that some food particles in the plastic grid in freezer. My shock I found that the plastic grid is lined with Thermocol, obviously it cannot be cleaned properly because Thermocol is a porous material and particles got embedded in the same. My grievance is - why make a grid in the base of freezer compartment which cannot be cleaned by the user? Secondly, why use Thermocol embedded in the grid so it impossible to clean and subsequently it will develop fungus. The design is absolutely defective. In the door of the fridge, there are only two and a quarter racks, why like normal fridges 3 or 4 racks have not been provided?
Do not buy Samsung dishwasher, leaks from door had problems with control panel and know its leaking from the bottom. The dryer heating element always burns out after 1 year and 3 months. This is my 2nd time changing this part and a wire was burn inside. I get a feeling it might not be the last. Washer leaks sometimes. Stay away from Samsung. As for my tablet the screen cracked not outside the screen but inside, the tablet was never drop and that was after 3 days that it was bought from the Bell store. As for Samsung tv, not bad. Broke 10 years after it was bought.
After 13 months (just after warranty expired) the icemaker began icing over. I called Samsung who would only send out a paid repair person. I learned how to de-ice it myself and have to do this every three months or so. I just discovered a fix on YouTube which resulted in $200 worth of parts. Now, three years later, there is a solid sheet of ice under the crisper drawer and a very loud fan noise coming from the fridge (RF263BEAESR/AA). Again using YouTube I discovered that ice builds up because of another poor design and I had to remove all the food, all the shelves, including the difficult to remove one above the crisper drawer, and then pry off a back panel and use a hair dryer to defrost it. Ice had built up and the fan was hitting the ice. This is due to a small metal piece that is attached to the heating element, the metal piece isnt long enough and allows the drain to freeze closed. This causes the ice build up. This is an expensive appliance and I am already looking at having to replace it because it is not reliable and requires so much maintenance. My old fridge was a cheap GE that lasted 16 years without a single repair. Samsung knows about the design flaws, has even issued a technical bulletin about it. They refuse to issue a recall and correct their mistake, leaving so many homeowners frustrated. I will not buy another Samsung product as long as I live! There are several class-action lawsuits pending against Samsung in regards to this appliance. Buyer beware, run from Samsung appliances.
Ditto on all the above comments. Unfortunately we did not see the reviews before our dishwasher purchase 1 yr ago. Just like others have commented on, dishes werent cleaning, drying, or finishing cycles. And dont forget about all the blue sensor lights flashing all the time without any indication of the problem. Service came out and told us its the Display Unit that needs to be fixed. A $300.00 part, even though we just paid $600.00 for it brand new a yr ago. Contacted customer service to explain our issue, and they said there is nothing they could do and good luck. At the same time they were servicing my Samsung dishwasher, they were trying to fix the Samsung refrigerator that we bought on the same day. REALLY! Both appliances have problems at the same time? How nice for Samsung. So after paying 2 service fees on the same day for 2 appliances, we have decided to throw the dishwasher out in the driveway and put a sign on it saying FREE - Junk. We did mention to customer services about all the horrible reviews, and they could careless because they know more unaware consumers are going to make the bad choice of buying anything from Samsung.
Fridge model RB194 ACRS - Very disappointed with this product, just 2 years old, thought I had done all my research before purchasing. Freezer is working correctly but fridge not cooling. Cost of $1500 and our 30 year old fridge works better than this one. I am not the only person with these problems..
I bought all new Samsung appliances 18 months ago. On Thanksgiving Day no less my oven caught on fire roughly 2 minutes after I turned my oven on. Electrical fire inside. Stove ruined and lucky my house didnt burn down!
I have been generally happy with Samsung products over the years, and when I needed I microwave a couple of years ago, I bought a Samsung. It was manufactured in 2014, and has already broken twice. In February the door stopped closing. Now it has stopped working completely. Ive seen microwaves last for decades, and this one cant hack 4 years of service. Samsung eventually replied to me saying It didnt have any recalls, and that was it! I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance... EVER.
Ive had the Samsung refrigerator for 3 years. The first year, it was leaking water and that was repaired. The second year, it stopped cooling and the fans were replaced. The icemaker has not worked most of the time. And this year, it stopped cooling on July 12. They came and replaced the fans and the icemaker. During that repair, they found an internal Freon leak. It took another 2 weeks before that was repaired, but the refrigerator was still not cooling. This time, it was apparently the compressor. They replaced the compressor on Friday, August 30th. I woke up Saturday to a nice cold fridge. I was happy about that! However, Saturday night, the temp was reading 60 degrees in the fridge and 40 degrees in the freezer! Im so over this. I have not had a working refrigerator since July the 12th. It is September 2nd. Were using a mini-fridge and a deep freezer. They told me it has to have the same repair done 3 times and then break again a 4th time before it qualified for replacement under the lemon law. Im very frustrated and will NEVER buy another Samsung product.
Purchased the refrigerator less than two years ago and after about 18 months refrigerator stopped cooling. After we paid Samsung to fix the issue which was a faulty sensor, fridge froze up and stopped cooling again. Every time there was a loud noise coming from the fridge. Of course shuts off when you open the door. Had to replace sensor 2x. Now it looks like we have to have it replaced again. Loud fan noise coming from the fridge. Dont buy a Samsung Fridge ever. Bad design.
Caution to all purchaser: Never buy a Samsung product. It will only give problems/ headache. Their support team only knows one thing as they have sent this for two times. And I am waiting for the 3rd time. My refrigerator was repaired two times in just one month. This product was purchased in June 2009. Now again, it is not working and I am waiting for the 3rd time. It has caused me inconvenience.
I purchased Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RFG297AARS for $2000 on 3/2011. However, I didnt buy the extended protection plan (should have) because I had protection plan with local electric company. I started to have problems in Jun 2013. Water in the bottom of the crisper and the refrigerator/ freezer was not cooling properly. I called to have maintenance done on the unit, and the repairmen told me that all of the defrost circuits and the sealed compressor were working properly and the drain lines were clear. They stated that all of the older and same model of mine had issues on lack of insulation in the box and during summer/high humid months, the unit would not keep up. I contacted Samsung and they never heard of this and would be happy to come out to look at the unit. If it wasnt a compressor issue, I would be charged for the visit. So we just unplugged the refrigerator and let it thaw out, and after that it worked okay, but not great. Then in Feb 2014, my freezer and refrigerator stopped cooling, so I called up for maintenance and they determined the sealed cooling system was not working and to call Samsung for repair under the 5-yr warranty. I called Samsung and they sent out a repair rep and he came out and said that the compressor/sealed system was not working properly and he would be in 2 weeks. When he came back, he tried everything but he could find the leak and he stated that it was not repairable!! 3 months later, no working refrigerator, just a broken one sitting in the way in my kitchen. Samsung finally decided to buy the unit back, but it would take 15-20 days and would get back to me concerning the removal of the broken one. No check, no email - nothing at all. Please do not buy this model or from this company. They say they understand what I am going through, but I dont think they do because they would have sent me my check and removed this broken box out of my kitchen so I can buy a new one for my family without a refrigerator.
Recently we converted our less than six month old our entire upgraded GE kitchen appliances to Samsung Black Stainless Steel at roughly $6,500. In spite of the cost we have always had success with the product brand including TVs, cell phones, tablets, appliances you name if Samsung makes it we buy it. However the dishwashers has been less than acceptable not to mention most disappointing. Besides being noisy theres always standing water after a complete cycle. If unattended the odor of spoiled or soiled smelling water its all but unbearable. No problem. We contacted the local Samsung authorized technician to make a house call and repairs or adjustment. After a half hour he said everything was in working order and the accumulation of the standing water was normal... I quote its needed to prime the pump... That of course is BS!First thing when you start the washer is WATER! Subsequently and after filing a complaint with customer service which I might add are nothing more than pimple face robots sitting in front of computers that reply from canned presentations. Eventually and after some persistence our complaint was sent to another department and after waiting three or so weeks we get a call back saying they are sending us a complete refund. Once again my faith is restored with Samsung; but its not to be! After a few more weeks the promised call back never came so we reached out to their customer service and once again we got a runaround with the pending refund. But today we get a call from the department that makes the final decision telling us it was a mistake and the problem is considered maintenance not covered under their normal warranty... Mind you we are talking about a product that was less than three weeks old. Their (CR) mannerism with a response was being read not communicated like in a normal conversation; most disappointing to say the least. The CR kept repeating the same verbiage word for word over and over several times. Before I wrote this review I did some research and discovered besides Samsung - Bosch and Whirlpool they share this common problem. Their recommendation is adding vinegar and lemon juice in the dishwasher or you can buy a cleaner/chemical specific for dishwashers to control odors; expect to pay around $12-$13. So Samsung potential dishwashers buyers beware!
Purchased appliance in November of 2017 but did not receive it until December or January. It is now September 14 and I have had the original and 2 replacement ice makers. Now it is frozen again. So now I am going to be getting ice maker number 4. I believe the refrigerator is defective and that is why the ice maker is failing. I want a replacement refrigerator.
We bought this refrigerator when we built our new home back in July 2012. From day one, the ice maker didnt work right. I found myself waiting for ice for what seemed like forever. As time went on, it made less and less ice. Then it stopped making cubed ice and it almost was the consistency of a snow cone. Then another issue with it spitting out a good amount of water before the ice would come out, leaving water on my beautiful new hardwood floors. Not to mention it usually got all over myself as well. One day I noticed that the door was not in the track, allowing the cold air to leak out around the doors. I thought this might be why we were having the ice maker problems. So I gave it another week to see if the issue would resolve itself after fixing the doors. It broke... I dont know what in the world happened, it just stopped working altogether. So I called the company and after telling them I was completely done with this refrigerator and the constant ongoing issues, I wanted it fixed ASAP. The service company they referred me to said they couldnt come out for a week. I find this unacceptable on many levels. So I called Samsung again to tell them about the delay. They informed me that I would be hearing from an executive team member in 24-48 hours. Three days later, I called them because I never got a call. The employee apologized, took note of my complaint and assured me I would hear from someone in another 24-48 hours. Here I am, 3 days later, and I am yet to get a phone call. Like many other of the complaints I read, I too have had to eat out and spend countless dollars. And of course I had just gone to the grocery store the day before it broke completely. I will never buy another product from this company and I definitely would NEVER recommend Samsung to anyone.
I bought my fridge June 2010. It is a very large double door stainless steel model with deli tray, freezer on bottom and cost $2700 from Lowes. A few months ago, I noticed water on my floor, so first thing that came to mind was the kids are playing with water dispenser, so I locked it. That did not solve the problem so I was not sure of what to do since it was not a large amount of water. Then during my routine cleaning, I had a burst of energy, and decided to remove the deli tray completely and that is when I noticed a huge amount of water! I could not believe it! Where was it coming from? No visible leaks, cracks and nothing. I tried for weeks to find someone to come out, with no luck. I finally called Lowes and they sent someone from A&E who told me that my fridge was not properly leveled and water that is suppose to drain down is leaking forward. It popped me $216 to level my fridge. I was burned but thought it was better than $2000 for a new fridge. I checked it today (3 days have passed) and guess what? A huge puddle of water under the deli drawer! I called A&E and they said that they will come out, and waive the service fee but I will be responsible to order new parts. Are you kidding me? I just gave you $216! Never again will I buy Samsung. I wish I knew about this site before dropping big bucks on a big piece of **!
I brought a Samsung kitchen package at Best Buy. I have had countless problems with the Dishwasher, many of which have been previously written - doesnt wash the dishes, horrible smell (and I wipe my dishwasher interior door after each use), then when I tried to use it all of sudden lights are flashing and it doesnt drain. First repair said that Best Buy installed incorrectly, fixed that and then the door wouldnt open properly. Tried to use again, same issue with lights flashing and it moves to delicate and doesnt drain again. New repairman came out and said hes NEVER seen a controller board go in a dishwasher cost of the board is $190.00 + installation. Never buying a Samsung kitchen appliance again. Samsung you should stick to TVs and cell phones.
Purchased a 4 piece Samsung Appliance Package. Initially, after 6 months, I gave them a 5 star review. Still, after 4 years, every appliance has performed above my expectations. BUT... buyer beware... DO NOT purchase appliances with the black stainless finish. The finish on my oven door is peeling off... looks hideous. I purchased the extended 5 year warranty, but cosmetic defects are NOT covered. I have to purchase a $317.00 (plus) replacement oven door. Why would a company that makes quality appliances not cover a factory defective finish and ruin their reputation? Very disappointed. Spent hours with customer service to no avail.
Very well made- we do laundry 5 days a wk. 1 issue in 5yrs. Highly recommended by me. I'm Samsung washer and TVs type of person. Check them out first, you won't want to look at any other. They do run some great specials at certain times of the yr. SAMSUNG FOREVER.
My Samsung microwave oven is 2 years old. It just started beeping and the display showed 2222. And then it had an SE code and just kept on beeping. I wasnt using it at the time and it just started beeping on its own. The model is SMH9207ST, manufactured March 2010.
We purchased a top of the line Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80H995OU5/AA. After less than two days of use, it would no longer complete a wash cycle and the door would not stay closed. Upon further inspection we also discover the rear panel of the cabinet was severely bent. After a call to the local dealer, he called back the next day reporting that Samsung would not let him service the machine, but only a Samsung Service Center. Samsung wanted two business days to contact the center to set the appointment. After some discussion they agreed to contact the Local Authorized Service Center (Remedy Appliance Service and Repair) while I was on the line. The Samsung Customer rep. disconnected the line without the connection. I tracked the Authorized Service Center down and offered to pay them to look at the machine. An Authorized Service Representative looked at the machine, determined it was not repairable. He took pictures and told us Samsung would call in one to two business days. They did not. I called Samsung, talking to several service representatives. My request was to remove the machine and return my money, as the machine worked less than 24 hours. The washer cost $1,600. I have now been on the phone with four customer service representatives including executive customer service. I have been told after further extensive processing, I might have my money returned in 14 to 21 days, however the process they describe is about four days, requiring further extensive time on our part. Just horrible service.
My Samsung refrigerator, which was not in warranty, was repaired by Samsung’s service center person on 24 May 2012, and after three days it started giving me the same problem. It is not cooling (gas refill). I called them and they are not giving any response. They have given a bill and a one-year guarantee, but they are not attending my phone call. Name of the service center: Balaji Refrigeration (Mr. Balaji). Address: No 23, Karumari Amman Nagar, Kodungaiyur, Chennai - 600118. Phone number: 9841360565. Kindly look into this complaint.
I purchased your Samsung refrigerator model no: RSG257AARS/XAA, back in Dec. 2013 when I bought my first home. While I am not customarily someone who uses ice in my drinks, there are certain beverages wherein I do use ice, such as with a soda or a cocktail. But for water and or juices, I do not require ice and as I rarely drink a soda or have a cocktail, I cant say the ice maker on my unit has had much use considering I am a one person household. This little to no use of the ice maker is potentially why this problem with the ice maker/dispenser did not appear until July 2014. I first noticed this problem when I discovered a large white shaving of plastic floating in a glass of Coca Cola. It was the size of a coconut shaving and so I removed this remnant and secured it into a plastic zip lock bag. Obviously, I disposed of the drink.I then examined the ice maker machine and mechanism, removed the ice bucket etc. and discovered there were dozens upon dozens of plastic shavings sitting in the cavity of freezer below the ice bucket. Upon further examination I discovered areas on the left and right sides of the plastic housing wherein it was obvious the rotary blades (auger couplers) had literally shredded into the plastic housing and it was quite clear from the magnitude of the scratches, shavings and debris that this was a serious problem.I first received service to repair this problem in July 2014. However, the repair took nearly 4 weeks to conclude, two home visits, shipment of parts, and I had no ice available to me in that time. Moreover, I greatly needed ice to medically treat an injury. Thus, the repair was more than an inconvenience. While the repair included some new parts and a new ice bucket, after the repair, I was hesitant and nervous to use the ice cubes for drinking and would look in each glass of ice. Then just a few days ago (20 Oct 2014), I found a SHARP solid chunk of white plastic floating in my Coca Cola. Again, I removed it and secure it in a zip lock bag for evidence. Upon examination of the unit, I now find that the plastic housing under the ice bucket is again being impacted and hit, only this time the scratches and scrapings are now at the front of the housing rather than on the sides. To make matters worse, on the evening of Oct 21st, I observed small white tiny powder like particles, sitting on the outside stainless steel dispenser tray, which indicates I have been ingesting and drinking micro particles of plastic. I have obtained a small sample of this particle by pressing my finger down onto it and then scraping this fine particle off my finger into a zip lock bag, but it is so small and fine that one could literally not pick it up any other way. It would be like trying to collect a single grain or flake of salt.As of late, I have been enjoying one soda a day, in place of eating a desert, and have been having more iced drinks than usual. Again, this draws me to the conclusion that if only this ice maker and dispenser had had normal American household use, this problem would have most likely occurred immediately. At this stage, my main concern is my HEALTH and how my body has been affected by ingesting micro fine particles of plastic used to make an appliance. To be honest, I am more than upset by the gravity of the situation and I find your customer service to be sub-par. In my opinion, this unit is DEFECTIVE IN DESIGN. Any refrigerator that starts dispensing plastic for a HUMAN TO EAT AND INGEST SHOULD BE DEALT WITH IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER, and does not even fall within the scope of an ordinary repair.I can no longer trust this appliance to provide me ice! In addition, I will never again use it for drinking ice. NO WAY! NEVER! No matter how you repair it or pretend you did, it is obvious that the METAL BLADES are able to make contact with all edges of the plastic housing and therefore will ALWAYS HAVE THE POTENTIAL to feed me plastic.Next time I see my doctor I will consult with him on this matter. In the meantime, feel free to send me the chemical composition with which this plastic material is made of and I will give that to my doctor. Alternatively, we can send samples to a lab and then I will bill and or sue Samsung. I am outraged at this situation! Period! The fact that you are again going to send me a service repairperson who has NO experience with this SPECIFIC problem is ridiculous. Moreover, two Samsung service repair technicians told me they had never heard of this problem. So all you are doing is putting a Band-Aid on this situation, waiting for the manufacturer warranty to run out so that you will not have to contend with it. So yes, I am outraged. I will never again buy Samsung. In closing, I am attaching photos from last July showing evidence of the plastic shavings and impact to the housing. The current plastic particles are to small to photograph and while this is the same problem, the particles in fact are completely different now in shape and size. In fact the smaller particles and this current situation is way worse because I cannot VISIBLY see the micro-particles in a drink, making this a blatant health hazard. Please review the photos carefully! I would like this case to be escalated and dealt with by your upper management.
We bought our Samsung fridge with icemaker in 2015 and loved the design for storage. We had several issues with defrosting and the fridge developing ice and the back and freezing food. We started to take a day once a year to defrost it over 24 hours and it worked for a couple years but we called it this year. It froze up again (early this year) and we defrosted it again but it never got back to properly keeping our food cool but not frozen. Our local repair person told us he wouldnt waste our time because hes gone to service Samsung fridges many times and bought new parts but it never helped. When we had our new fridge delivered the delivery person commented that theyve removed mostly Samsung fridges from peoples homes. They look good but not worth it. Ours lasted 6 years! Thats not long for over $2,000.00. Not to mention the environmental impact!
Our Samsung side-by-side with bottom freezer has stopped working for the second time in two years. The first failure was the freezer fan, repaired under warranty. After second year, same problem - noisy fan and temperature not holding. Same repairman said the motherboards go out, and he cant get a new OEM board from Samsung - they are back ordered until 2015! We bought one from Sears, refurbished, and it doesnt work. Repair company says nothing they can do. My 15-year-old garage fridge is now back in business. It is amazing to me that a world-wide branded company like Samsung would allow this to happen. Here is my response: I wont buy any other Samsung products. I need a new smartphone - Samsung? No way.
We built a house in 2016. Went with the Samsung new black stainless steel appliances. We have had nothing but problems with the Refrigerator model# RF260BEAESR. The door clips keep breaking, you can’t get in and out of the freezer part and the MOST frustrating is the ICE MAKER! I have spent no less than 15 hrs trying to fix it. It was out of warranty two weeks and got nothing from Samsung. I am going to share something I have learned: Always ask how much the extended warranty is, if it’s almost half as much as the original cost of the thing you are purchasing STAY AWAY!!! I figured this out after having bought 3 dishwashers and two refrigerators. Case in point current refrigerator (Samsung french door) warranty was $756.00 I paid $1,600.00 for it new and have had nothing but problems. Oven was $350 for warranty new it was $1,700. We have had 0 problems with it. Microhood $35.00 new $350.00 0 problems... I strongly recommend you stay away from Samsung appliances. They make a great TV maybe phone but thats it.
My gas range was purchased at a local hardware store and installed just 4 months ago. No extended warranty purchased so I had to deal directly with Samsung. It has been 3 weeks since the gas company shut off my gas & determined the range was leaking 10 times the allowable limit of carbon monoxide. After 3 weeks of deliberations, Samsung is reimbursing me for the purchase price of the range rather than replacing it. The range was purchased during an exceptional sale, therefore I’m unable to replace for the same price. Not to mention, gas hookup for the new stove as well as cost of technicians, all of this under their 1 year warranty. Poor customer service.
Refrigerator Model # RF28HMEDBSR - have had many issues with water leaking, first on the left side, and then now also water coming out on the front side. I put rags around the bottom of the fridge so my family does not slip and fall as I have slipped already walking to the kitchen in the middle of the night. The water is coming out more and more, have to replace the rags every few hours to prevent accidents. I called Samsung for help and they emailed me a pdf file instructing me how to make sure the fridge is level. There was nothing wrong with it being level and its still leaking worse than ever. Called Samsung back and they said they can refer me to a company that can repair my fridge. Samsung only warranties the fridge for one year, after that I have to pay for labor and parts to repair this issue. I researched online and found that this is a common issue with other Samsung Refrigerators. Here is the link for the class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for selling their defective product. **. Repair company charges $100 for diagnostic. Then we wait for them to order the parts (Temp sensor, Assembly Cover Evap and Leakage Kit) which costs over $125 plus more labor charges for them to install it. And we are not sure this will even resolve the problem. Stay away from Samsung appliances. I also have a Samsung stove that all the knobs have broken off. Samsung will charge you over $50 per knob to replace them. Pieces of junk, faulty appliances, Samsung should not sell their defective products to consumers.
Our $3300 Samsung refrigerator was bought new. After 13 months it stopped cooling. They sent a Samsung technician out twice (three week process). They decided after another two week review they didnt know what was wrong with it so they would send us a refund. We immediately uploaded all the requested documentation to the refunds dept. We were told it takes three to five days to process it. So we were now into January. We have a family of 6 without a refrigerator throughout the holidays. I followed up after three days, of course I was reminded its three to FIVE days. So at day five I call. Im told they input the model number in wrong which caused the refund to reject. They would be happy to re-input the refund with the correct model #. It would take ANOTHER 3-5 days. That was January 11. Here it is January 18. We are still getting the run around from countless supervisors telling us we should have it by the end of the day (weve been told that the past three days). The lack of concern, urgency, and follow up by Samsung has certainly cemented the fact that our family will never purchase Samsung again. I hope this can help someone else avoiding getting caught in this as well.
I have purchased four Samsung appliances within the last four years, and three needed repairs. Microwave, purchased a year and 1/2 ago, needed new keypad which cost $160 repair. My French door refrigerator, purchased four years ago, needed new rear panel and defrost sensor/water build up under deli drawer. This is a common problem we find out. This cost us $185.50 in repair. Front loading washer, purchased three years ago, needed new bellow with repair cost of $137.21. Im very disappointed in Samsung products. I would like someone from Samsung to contact me if there is something they can do to help absorb some of these costs. Do you stand behind your product? I will be building a new home in the near future and will not be considering Samsung appliances.
We installed our new Samsung dishwasher (DW80F600 series) in December 2013, and didnt even have 6 months before it started breaking. Lots of things replaced (water inlet valve, ECS sensor, main board, etc.), but it was never more than a few weeks of light use and it stopped working again. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again! Service people were no help either.
You purchase a dishwasher for $500.00 and it needed repairs 3 times after the warranty ran out, and will be sending it to the junkyard within 2 1/2 years after purchase, I will never purchase another Samsung product again! Dont waste your money!
Purchased a Samsung dishwasher August 2013. From the very start it did not clean well. I have to scrub the dishes and utensils in order for them to come out clean. They could not help me resolve that problem. August 2014, dishwasher would shut off after 2 mins. Had to have the EC Sensor replaced. I did research and found that this is a faulty design that Samsung should address and fix! Samsung has POOR customer service. They do not respond to messages left, by phone. When you do reach an actual person you can figure on spending at least an hour per call and still you will not have had any resolution to your problem. They do not follow up in a timely manner in getting a local repair company dispatched to your home. They do not let you know who they have dispatched and when they are coming to your home. After many hours of dealing with Samsung, on the phone, they would not give us another dishwasher. So we are stuck!! We went ahead and purchased the extended warranty today seeing that we have already had two major issues with this machine in less than a year of owning it. We will be using that warranty quite a lot.
I purchased 4 new Samsung side by side refrigerators about 16 months ago. One by one they have failed in less than 16 months. I purchased four for an apartment complex and it was a costly mistake to say the least. After having Samsung customer service wear me down (they won that fight) I finally just gave up. I basically threw away $6,000.00. I was dumb enough to purchase Samsung without doing my homework, but Im not dumb enough to fix a pathetic product that wont last. No good money after bad here!!! So, I have given up on Samsung and going back to good old Whirlpool where I should have stayed in the first place. My problems were the same as everyone elses. Ice makers go bad, Blades rub on ice, motherboards go bad. Its amazing that with the internet the word never got out. Im just trying to do my small part to save someone else $$$.
3 weeks ago our refrigerator quit cooling. We called Samsung and they sent a person out to see the unit. He said the compressor was out and would need to be replaced. We contacted Samsung and they said he was not allowed to replace the compressor. We asked they send a qualified tech out with a new compressor. Then we were told they did not have any one in our area to do warranties. We asked if they would send the compressor and we would find someone to replace it. They said no but would offer us a buyout on the old unit of $1.250.00. We accepted, but now they wont accept the invoice we provided from Lowes. We had already bought a new refrigerator. Basically we bought a Samsung refrigerator for $1800.00 that lasted for 18 months. Will be the last Samsung product I will buy!
RB217ABPN - Purchased 11/06/09. Started noticing water in the fruit bin. Called for repair dept. Was told maybe we would have to pay for repairs, but go to simulator samsung.com. We did but it was not available for our refrigerator. Went to youtube. My husband took the refrigerator apart like shown. Once we removed the panel, we noticed it was all rusted on one side, the screws were not all in to hold the fan in place and one side of the panel is cracked in several places. Put back together. Hopeful it will work, but will be out looking for a new refrigerator since I dont think rust and cracked panel can be good. Nothing last long anymore.....
We moved into a new house and decided to replace the appliances. We read the reviews, thank you for the people who do this. It helps, and saw Samsung got terrible reviews on their dishwashers but nothing bad on the particular fridge we were interested in. There were no bad reviews because this fridge was newer and I dont think enough time passed for the problems to emerge. Model number RF28K9380SR, so we went for it, spent a good amount of money on it and months after we bought it (Brand New) we had big problems with the ice maker completely freezing over. We had the SAME parts break 5 times in less than one year. We have requested our money back or a completely new fridge. After weeks on the runaround and being told its under review we have gotten NOOOOO answers. We emailed and faxed in the repair logs. They have sent their own repairmen out and in less than 1 week it broke again. We are, to this exact day, sitting with an ice maker that has completely frozen over and shuts down. Called Samsung for the 6th time in two weeks to be told, its still under review. Not only is this Fridge an absolute waste of money, Samsung is a terrible company and could care less about customers. WE will NEVER EVER again buy a Samsung product. That goes for everything not just appliances.
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in September 2009. Since that time I have had to have to ice maker replaced and now the ice maker has to be replaced again. Plus the freezer is not getting cold enough so that is another repair. I am thinking of just getting rid of this piece of junk and getting another refrigerator. Samsung Refrigerator is awful. I have nothing but bad things to say about this refrigeration. I am telling everyone I know to never buy a Samsung appliance.
Got fridge delivered and moved it in two weeks later due to remodel. No ice. Called service center again and again and each time given instructions on resetting the thing. Nothing. Then finally got service ticket and supposed to get call. No call. Called Samsung back. Said allow 48 hours for the call. 72 hours - no call. Still waiting on call. Samsung confirms ticket number and contact information. Service people on the phone treat you like an idiot. One guaranteed me that changing the temperature on the ice maker would solve the problem. Another told me the wires on top of the door hinges were the problem. Reset the icemaker about ten times. Water in the door is fine. Another one said it was not getting water. There is only one water supply line. Another said maybe the unit is not level. What bull that was. Nothing works.
I bought a Samsung refrigerator a year ago. I started to notice the temperature will rise in the freezer then drop causing food to sweat and frost over causing ice to stick together and not go through the icemaker. Called Samsung multiple times and got the runaround from one department to another department never heard back. The ice cubes are so big they get stock in the opening and fails to fall into the cup. Because the temperature fluctuates ice cubes sweat stick together when the temperature drops again now theyre too big to fall through the opening so youre constantly taking the icemaker tray out breaking up the ice. This refrigerator has made me so sick that Im buying a new one and Im going to donate this one to the goodwill. Its better than nothing for someone who needs a refrigerator.
We bought a side by side Samsung Fridge and Freezer. Within the first year the motherboard broke and Samsung came to fix it with no charge. 3 years later out of warranty the fridge broke again. It took one of their technicians 3 weeks to come out due to them giving bad service. They more worried about the R570.00 call out fee rather than providing excellent service. After 3 weeks technician came and said there was a leakage, rusted pipe and it needed gas. Come on Samsung. After 3 years a fridge cannot need gas. I had a Fridge side by side Fridgemaster for 15 years and it never needed gas. Its abnormal and I know it is a faulty fridge.I told one of Samsung people yesterday I am a very unhappy customer and is only paying because I have to get it fixed. It costed me buying a bar fridge as Samsungs waiting period is pathetic. I was quoted R450.00. I have a call recording and emails sent to them. I intended buying a Samsung washing machine but NO SAMSUNG PRODUCTS ever. I am telling the world out there dont ever opt for a Samsung Fridge. They sell faulty products and would not replace it. My fridge still looks brand new as we working and only uses it at night and over weekends but I made a big mistake as the product is not cheap over 10,000.00. I am still waiting on them now to call me to say when the pipes will be fixed and the gas. Suppose to come Saturday but I will wait and see if I receive a phone call today.
After getting the SE message on my two-year built-in Samsung microwave, I did some research and saw how someone said to clean the ribbon on the display panel. Well, I was too afraid to mess with the control panel so I placed a service call in. The tech came and I told him what I read so I asked him to remove the ribbon or membrane and then reconnect. Sure enough, the thing started working right away. I spent $100 on service call. So I hope someone else can use this information. So next time, just remove button panel and unplug ribbon membrane and reconnect.
We bought the Samsung Electric Convection Range from QVC in 2013 Model#FTQ3531WUX. It appears this was a 2012 Model we received. Stove seemed nice looking, burners & warming drawer worked great. The oven always seemed to heat slow and I felt the Convection wasnt quicker than regular oven. I really did not know about convection until my in-law said his Maytag convection was very fast cooking. So after going 2 years the oven decided to not heat anymore with an E-08 code. Called Samsung and of course they want you to disconnect power like thats a fix all. Nope. So they offer a name of repair person. Long story short, I paid $100 for the guy to come and tell me that it will cost another $500 for a motherboard! And I didnt even mention all the crude that has gotten between the glass doors that you cannot get out! My old Hot Point stove worked better and longer than this one! I have read all the same problems as mine and even explosions! Wish some attorney would start a class action suit! Do not buy it is junk!
Bought a brand new Samsung refrigerator 3 months ago. This past Friday it died. Lost a fridge full of food and ruined my hardwood floor from all ice melting. Called and they couldnt get out til Monday. They said I would receive a call later that day with an appointment time. Never got a call. They showed up without notice on Monday morning. Tech said it needed major repairs and they wouldnt have the parts til Friday. Thats 8 days without a fridge. Called Samsung call center to complain and they didnt offer anything to help us. Asked to speak with a manager. The response received was you are unable to talk to a manager. Asked for an email address for a manager. Nope not an email address either. What type of call center or any business doesnt have a manager on duty. That is an absolute lie. They just dont want to be bothered. We planned on remodeling our kitchen with all Samsung appliances. Not any longer. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!
SMH8165 - I have tried a few different things suggested for this microwave. What finally seems to have stopped it is I took the keypad off and disconnected the thin wires from the circuit board. They are towards the top of the board in the middle. They seem to go to the sensor that was malfunctioning. We do not use the sensor cook modes so that resolved the SE error for us. Wont buy another Samsung OTR Microwave. They have twice the repair rate of other models according to a popular consumer reporting site.
Bought Refrigerator Model # RF323IEDBSR/AA for $2299.99 + tax. We had problems with the ice maker freezing up within a year. We had a service person come out & repair it 2 times & it still has problems. We had to put out $218 & $242,44. Air gets into the ice maker & the ice freezes as well as we cannot remove the ice maker as it is frozen. We called Samsung for the 3rd time speaking to an Executive Customer Relations person and he said could only will send someone out again at our expense again & if it cannot be repaired theyd decide what to do next. They will not reimburse us for our past charges & will not exchange the refrigerator. We decided not to have another service person out & have to pay out more money. Well just wait until it breaks permanently & buy a new refrigerator. We will definitely never buy a Samsung Refrigerator again. I would not recommend a Samsung refrigerator to anyone.
Samsung Dishwasher DW-FG520W - Third time since February I have had to call for a technician to fix and replace the upper arm, which keeps breaking. Consequently I cannot shut the door to wash dishes. Third time! In 9 months! Lucky its still under warranty, but having read other peoples problems with Samsung, am now wondering if this is going to be on-going. Would not recommend buying this dishwasher.
I was mad, totally mad for this - I purchased a double door fridge in 2010. From the next day, it stopped working. After then, I registered hundred times my complaints at customer care but till then today, I have no solution. Can anybody help me?
I purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator and an over the stove microwave 3 years ago. They worked great for about 2 years and then the trouble started. My refrigerator stopped cooling completely. I had a service tech come and he told me it was a manufacturers defect but since it was almost 3 years old, I was out of luck. Mind you, he didnt hesitate to try several times to fix it to the cost of over $700 before he suggested I dont put any more money into it. I tried to get him, as a service tech, to contact Samsung to inform them of the mfg. defect but he failed me on that also. The microwave fan went after about 2 years. It did work but was extremely loud. Then the other night (about 4am) I heard a beeping and the microwave was beeping SE. Now it does not work at all. I had to unplug it to get it to stop beeping. Never again on Samsung appliances. Oh yeah, I also have a range I bought which was Samsung and after 1 year with that, I had to have a burner replaced. Im not at all happy, very disappointed.
Our Samsung Refrigerator was purchased from Lowes and was highly recommended by Lowes and another appliance center in the area. Our refrigerator has broken down 3 times in 4 years which is a horrible record. I have a cheap Kirkland 2nd refrigerator that I have had for almost 20 years and never had broken down one time. Expensive is not always better! Samsung sent us a repair company which then goes out of business and will not recommend and now gives us a 2nd repair company. That repair company tech only knew how to take out screws of a cover and had to be on phone being stepped through how to do diagnostics on refrigerator, only to tell me a 2nd time that power circuit board needs replaced and will be another week. The circuit board is obviously is defective and not covered under 5-year warranty by Samsung. I will not buy anymore Samsung products. A few years ago, my highly touted Samsung Flat Screen TV had defective parts and fortunately Costco stood behind the product. No more Samsung TVs either!
This company is a joke. My refrigerator went out 3 months after we purchased it. It took them 2 wks to get a tech out only to tell us that he could not fix it. I have to call just about every day to ask what going on. Every time their response is I am going to escalate your ticket, you should hear back from us within 48 hrs or 7 - 10 business days and here I am two months and a half after and Samsung cannot provide me with a replaced refrigerator nor a refund. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again!!!
Samsung Model # RFG298HDRS/XAA / French doors and bottom freezer - Ice accumulates on the floor of the freezer and jams the door from closing and causing the freezer to run continuously as well as defrosts food inside. Unknown cause... Same thing was happening to our Samsung refrigerator, until water began to build up in the line and pour out. I had to turn the water off going to the refrigerator. The water valve is leaking. There is a Service Bulletin with Samsung... A S C 201 202 22 002. There appears to be a problem with the Valve Assembly and will need to be replaced along with the control board. I have only had the unit for 2 years. Disappointed with this product.
I ordered Samsung Gas Range, Model NX58H9500WS/AA from Plessers on April 4th, 2016. In two months, the surface burn grates cracked. I filed a claim, to my dismay, the customer service is the worst ever I had dealt with. I was asked to send the pictures of the defect parts and the receipts. I sent what they asked for on June 20th. Until today, I did not hear a word. I just called and was told that the burner grates and the cap are not covered. The gas range is quite expensive. I cannot believe that the burn grates cracked in two months. The workmanship is extremely poor.
Refrigerator model RS263TDPN/XAA was bought at Best Buy 4/17/2011 with service contract. Nearly from the start the ice in the ice maker clumped. We had about six visits from Best Buy repairmen who replaced numerous parts, including the motherboard twice and the ice maker, without solving the problem. Now 2 weeks after the last repair the refrigerator does not work at all.
The dishwasher repair was so expensive I elected to buy a new Kenmore. The refrigerator nightmare has been going on for 3 months with Samsung customer no service. These people jerked me around for 3 months (over 20 hours talking with them to fix the problem). My advice is do NOT allow Samsung to send out a repairman. Samsung will tell you its covered (as did the repairman) but when the job is complete you will be charged. I then got stuck with a large bill. If yours breaks call your own appliance repairman and save yourself your sanity. Samsung is a greasy/sleazy company selling beautiful but poorly made appliances. I will never buy or recommend their products.
We have an RF 197 Samsung purchased in 2011 and have already had to defrost it twice. There is constantly ice under the crisper drawers and under the freezer drawer as well. I would be interested in a class action suit if there is one.
I purchased a Black Samsung bottom freezer RB215ACBP and last year noticed the loud noise and the water in the veggie drawers as well. I also noticed the freezing under the drawers if it’s not frozen, it’s a ton of water. I called last year and customer service SUCKS!!! They were no help and told me to have someone come out and told me the motor was still under warranty. BUT if it’s not the motor, I would have to pay for the service call. Are you kidding me!? I was very displeased and to see all the complaints, I am very dissatisfied. And you would think Samsung would do something about this knowing there are so many complaints. I am not happy at all about this and if there is a class action suit, I am willing to get on the bandwagon because this is a 3-year-old fridge, and now this year (summer) seems to do it the most. And the noise is back, very loud like the motor is going bad, and the leaking water is back as well. And I should NOT have to defrost my 3-year fridge. Umm, don’t think so. I paid good money for this appliance and it’s doing these things. Umm, not good... Thank goodness for sites like these. Thank you.
Easy to use and clean. Love the two oven doors, which makes cooking much more flexible. Needed assistance as oven not heating at first, which was promptly resolved by Samsung. Only wish Range was part of Samsungs SmartThings portfolio.
I give Samsung a one star simply because there isnt a lower option. I have owned two Samsung refrigerators. The first I purchased about 9 or 10 years ago. It only lasted about 6 months and the compressor stopped working. I contacted Samsung and was advised the warranty at the time was a 6 month warranty and it would not be covered. I built a new home less than five years ago and as I got ready to purchase the appliances I had a family member that was going through a divorce that had new kitchen appliance set that he was looking to sell. The set was a stainless steel Samsung refrigerator, glass top stove, and a dishwasher. All of which had not been used but had been installed in his new home. The Samsung refrigerator worked great all of maybe 6 months and the icemaker stopped working. I replaced it and the replacement worked maybe two months and it quit. I replaced that one and the third one worked less than a year and it then quit so I purchased a countertop icemaker and gave up on having one in the refrigerator. Then shortly after the third icemaker stopped it started pooling water under the deli tray that would run out and puddle on the floor. Shortly after that it started making a noise which was the fan hitting build up ice accumulating near the fan. I had to take the refrigerator apart and clear the ice. A short while later it froze up again and this time it burn up the fan motor because the ice also froze the fan. I ordered the parts, put it back together and less than two months later the freezer stopped working. All of these issues were not covered by warranty. When the freezer stopped I fixed it by replacing it with a new refrigerator/freezer.The Samsung glass top stove, I have had to replace the glass top cause the original one busted. It busted after cooking a meal and the repairman advised me the top had an air bubble and as it was cooling off the bubble caused the glass to bust. The dishwasher I have had to pull out three times and replace parts in it. IF YOU WANT QUALITY STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG TRASH.
We purchased a Samsung French-door refrigerator and have experienced the same problems as many reviews I have read. Loud noises from the back, poor cooling in the refrigerator, and water leaking out from under the drawers in the bottom. We are really not satisfied and now looking to replace our refrigerator.
Bought Samsung refrigerator. Upon opening box found rust on a stainless steel refrigerator, immediately called company I bought from they send me to Samsung who has screwed with me ever since!! Doors are rusted and pitted and they refuse to send me new or fix. Samsung is a terrible company to deal with. They just talk and talk. It is a company that is nonconsumer friendly, they should not be able to do business here in the US until they stand behind their product. Shame Shame Shame. Lets take a stand against Samsung. We are now in January of 2019.
We had trouble with our fridge from day one. This was 3 years ago, well before the current onslaught of consumers with huge problems, so we received a refund after 5 non-repairs. Thousands of consumers have been defrauded and this company should have been forced to recall the 20+ models that are, very simply, crap. Samsung has tried over and over to make consumers pay for repairs, which do not fix the problems anyway. They, also, try to dupe people that they are out of warranty, while this is NOT a warranty issue. It is a design flaw, which his company knows very well and refuses to resolve without extreme stress for its purchasers. Shame on them.
I am tired and fed up! I bought a side by side refrigerator and have no success getting resolution for the ice buildup which is constantly reoccurring in the back of my unit. They have sent the technicians countless times without success. I received a call from Samsung last week to ask me how things were. I told them that it was still doing the same thing after the many visits. Each time a technician showed up, they stated that they were not going to be able to fix the issue but had to initiate the specific instructions for repair before Samsung would provide a voucher or some other method of enabling me to go and get a replacement. When I talk to them the other night they created another case number with instructions. The tech came today, called Samsung and let them know that the refrigerator was not repairable as provided in the instructions. The rep on the phone said, It doesnt work like that. Well you know what else doesnt work like that? Willingly offering a product to the consumer which you know has repetitive like kind issues and failing to prevent a product with well-known and documented faulty design or function to be sold with intent of telling your customer; Im not going to make good on my promise, I really dont care that youre having issues, Im not interested in knowing whether you are happy or not and It doesnt work like that.I have been cooperative and have done everything I have been asked to do by your representatives and this has gone on for 2-1/2 months straight now. It seems clear that you have no intent on standing by your product. I believe your warranty policy is deceptive to say the least. I dont think Im asking too much. I got a problem, and I just want it fixed without further delay. It looks like there are plenty of others who share the same sentiment. I dont want to have to take legal action, please dont make me.
RF267AEPN French Door Samsung Refrigerator - Nice looking junk! Expensive and poorly made, and Samsung knows it. They should be ashamed. I bought mine from Sears in 2010. Two days ago, I noticed that food in the fridge portion seemed to be spoiling far too fast. Some of the produce and lunch meats needed to be thrown out after only being purchased four days prior. Then today it sounded like the fridge fan was banging against something. I checked the temperature gauges and was shocked to find the fridge was at 53 degrees, even though it was set to 38. The freezer was fine. Set for -2, and maintaining -2. Then I realized I had a pile of water under the Cool Select Drawer. After cleaning that mess up, I wondered if maybe the water filter had anything to do with it. Since it was time to change it anyway, I started to take out the shelf under the water filter, and found I could not get the shelf out because it was frozen in place. Then I noticed that the entire strip that runs down the center back of the fridge for purposes of shelf height adjustment was completely filled with ice. I could not believe I was seeing this sort of thing on a refrigerator that is only 3 1/2 years old. So I started researching to see if anyone else has had this problem with these refrigerators and found this site (along with reviews on vendor sites), and found that a class action lawsuit was filed in 2010, and appears to be ongoing. One of the main law firms representing plaintiffs appears to be Cohen, Placitella & Roth, so I will be contacting them to see if it is possible to add more people. Companies should not be allowed to get away with making such inferior product. People simply cannot afford to be replacing major appliances every three years!!
I have had this Samsung electric range for 3 years now and have replaced the oven control panel and two burner switches so far. The burner switches spark/short out and then the oven on led stays on all the time. Pretty loud spark occurs when you go to turn the burner off, scars you half to death. Samsung stoves are a piece of junk. Dont bother with them. Customer services also the pits. STAY AWAY from Samsung appliances. TVs and phones may be good but not their appliances.
