Samsung Dryer Model DVE45R6100V
We purchased a ME model and in a few months it started coming on when we use the stove beneath it. The light comes on and the fan starts and will not turn off. The keypad locks up and you have to unplug. I have a Samsung stove and refrigerator. One of the smooth top burner elements stopped working. Samsung should stick to TVs.
My fridge was less than a year old when it started to give me problems. Its a defective fridge. It’s been 2 weeks with no fridge and they won’t refund your full money back! My child can’t put her medication anywhere and I explained that to Samsung and they said it’s not their problem. Oliver and Ingrid were so harsh about the situation And I explained my child could die and nothing is being done. They haven’t picked up my old fridge and until they have my old fridge I won’t get any money for A new fridge. Please people don’t ever go through what I’m going through. I can’t even afford to buy a new fridge until they send for my old one and and they get the fridge I have to wait 17-20 business days for my check.
I have had this refrigerator (Samsung RF217ACBP) for a little over two years. We have had to fix the ice maker twice because it keeps making ice even when the ice bin is full, then it malfunctions. We figured this out; now we just shut it off every night. A few months ago, we noticed that the veggie crisper has water in it. Now it is so bad that I cannot use the crisper. After research, I realized that it is a known issue. Samsung admitted to me that it is a known problem, but since my warranty is out, I would have to pay to have it fixed. Hows that for great service. I am chalking it up to dont ever buy a Samsung!
Pros: Im still not a fan of the look of the four door, but it is practical. The fourth door temp can be adjusted as opposed to leaving it as a freezer. We dont much frozen food so, this is fairly convenient. Cons: Cabinet depth is 24. We paid a lot of extra money for a cabinet depth refrigerator that stick out an extra 4 inches. The ice maker doesnt work well either.
I really try never to rant on social media but I am mad!?? Samsung stinks!!! We bought all Samsung appliances, oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator, back in April and have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator. Ice maker not working. Water not working but then they started working. Freezer wasn’t freezing at one point and they replaced a part. Fridge not working properly so they replaced a part inside of it and now the ice maker and freezer aren’t working again. Samsung will do nothing. Very irritated. They just keep sending out technicians to work on it and it is still not working. We spent way too much money on it to have this many problems. How do you buy a brand new refrigerator and it not work right, EVER. Don’t buy Samsung!
We purchased a Samsung dishwasher in March of 2014. It is now Sept 2015 and the dishwasher has broken down 6 times (7 counting the fact that it is currently not working). Weve been in contact with Samsung multiple times. Was told to fax all receipts of repairs and orig receipt of purchase. We did that only to be told there was nothing they could do. We definitely bought a lemon. We have found that PA has a lemon law and we are checking into that avenue. We feel that Samsung company should have replaced this appliance, but they kept saying it had to break down with the same issue 3 times in a certain period of time before they would replace. The issues were sometimes different. We would never purchase another Samsung dishwasher - or any Samsung product.
At times it runs very loud whereas I have to leave the door open for a while to reduce the sound of noise. One time the refrigerator became very hot and compressor had to be replaced. But at times it run nicely and I cant afford to have it replaced.
Samsung Microwave: Had two service calls, one under warranty in less than two years. Third time it went out I decided it wasnt worth $100 service call plus parts. The digital panel works were defective. So bought another GE the brand I previously had for 11 years before buying the Samsung refrigerator. Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator: Began rusting after 1 1/2 years around the bottom edges of the water dispenser section. Had kept it dry each time it was used. Called and was told too bad, out of warranty. Wouldnt do anything and wouldnt give me any suggestions as how to get it repaired. Lowes where I purchased it wasnt any help either. Thought maybe it was leaking from the inside door where the ice cube apparatus was placed. Still rusting. Only thing Im told to do is put appliance touch-up paint over the three spots after sanding. That has never really looked very nice when using that approach on anything in the past. Will never buy a microwave or refrigerator from Samsung again. They should stick to cell phones and TVs. My previous refrigerator was also a GE which never rusted in the 10 years I owned it. Au revoir Samsung appliances. Shame on them. Terrible customer service and construction. Very disappointed.
This the worst refrigerator I have ever owned and the customer service is no better. The ice maker keeps freezing up and customer service says thats unusual. Not so... read all these reviews. There needs to be a class action suit against them to either fix or replace. There doesnt seem to be a fix for it either just really poor design. What a piece of JUNK!
Ok, this is a very honest review of an expensive Samsung Refrigerator, the purpose of this review is to ensure that people do not face the same harassment and cheat at the hands of Samsung and fault prodicts that we did. If you dont want to read the review, just know that never buy Samsung Refrigerators which are high end Models as they dont have the support team or the resources to sort out any problem, remember its more a warning to the discerning buyers rather than a review. So to cut the story short, we bought a Samsung french door refrigerator with Ice Maker in September 2017. Towards the end of 2018 the Ice maker stopped working and sadly after 7 complaints and paying almost close to INR 12000.00, we are still sitting with the same problem and no one now responds as they dont know what is the problem. We have knocked on all doors but to no avail and still no one bothers to understand the problem. Sir, we have escalated the problem to the highest level, is the standard response is basically inaction post that.Guys, the quality for a high end refrigerator is really bad, there are a number of recurring problems which are magnified by the fact Samsung has no support or product training for its field service personnel for high end models so please refrain. Hope this saves people from the agony we are facing after spending a fortune on a refrigerator!
When we first purchase the refrigerator the ice maker didnt work. Samsung came out and the motherboard had to be replaced in the refrigerator. Periodically I like to clean behind my refrigerator and make sure that the coils and part of the refrigerator they recommend that we clean in their manual. If we dont really put the refrigerator back exactly level refrigerator runs constantly and will not defrost. We have to pull the refrigerator back out unplugged it, leave it unplugged for 2 hours plug it back in level it again before it will work. Ill never buy another Samsung. We also have their range which I have had to have a replacement part for as well. We have only owned these appliances for three years. But its long enough to know that Samsung does not build a reliable appliance. I only used a 1-star rating because I couldnt leave it blank.
Purchased our refrigerator (RF23HCED) a little over two years ago. Problems right away. So happy we added the five year Service Contract when purchasing. The design of the drawers is such that they are extremely difficult to remove for cleaning. The vegetable drawer has places where dirt gets into but you can’t reach to clean. Gross! And then there are the ice makers. Both have been replaced already. Still the top ice maker barely functions. The serviceman and I are like personal friends. I would NOT recommend this refrigerator! I have purchased several refrigerators in my lifetime. This one had the highest ratings but is the poorest performing model I have owned. Very unhappy with Samsung.
Model RF217ACWP. Bought at Best Buy 2 1/2 years ago. Same water in crisper problems experienced by other Samsung owners. But, also, the paint is peeling off all three the door handles big time! Of course, Best Buy has never heard of anything like this before. Also, Samsung said this was the first they had ever had such a problem and were surprised at our photos. Of course, it is a cosmetic issue and they will do nothing. We are told to purchase new handles and were referred to a parts company who claim they are not part of Samsung. They havent told us the cost. We are thinking removing the handles and taking them to an auto body repair shop to be repainted. Think that will work? It seems with all of the lawyers out there, someone would do a class action against Samsung since it is apparent they are selling a product with a known defect -- the water, freezing issue. Hey, where are the lawyers? Count me with those who WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY SAMSUNG!!!
Bought 3-Door Refrigerator/Freezer (RFG299AARS). The plastic part behind the freezer handle broke. Samsung sent wrong part to replace it and said they had discontinued the item. Couldnt find anything that wasnt generic and had to be modified to fit the unit. The glass crisper cover broke immediately and the weight of the full drawers broke the humidity selections out as well. Cannot place any weight on top of the cover. Now the vegetables arent climate controlled and the vegetables will freeze. Climate control throughout the refrigerator is not even and anything pushed to back of refrigerator freezes. The same for anything at the very front. An expensive, $3,000, piece of junk. What can stop this fraud perpetrated on the public, especially when consumer advocate groups rate this product so highly? Had to fight to get the extended warranty protection directly from Samsung to be honored. Then the repairman refused to return because he hadnt been paid by the company.
The dishwasher will not finish the cycle and lights will blink. You then have to restart the dishwasher and pray it makes it through the cycle. In the meantime you have to wait at least 3 hours for your dishwasher to finish and then it doesnt clean the dishes half the time and smells awful!
We bought an elec. Samsung stove top and oven combo because home was wired for elec. We had a Whirlpool before and it was great. This $2000.00 Samsung is pure junk. Burners are way too hot and cycle on and off all the time. The surface is also very hard to clean. We like nothing about this thing. Please dont buy. It is the absolutely awful. It looks good but, that the only good thing we have to say about it. Just would like one that works like a stove top should and be somewhat easy to clean with a constant temp. Samsung 30-in Smooth Surface 5-Element 5.8-cu ft Self-Cleaning with Stream Slide-in Convection Electric Range [Stainless Steel] Price was $1,799.00. Impossible to make candy or anything that needs constant temp.
We purchased the Samsung french door model at Sears. After that, it had broken several times in three years (ice maker). I tried to research this brand and others, and we went with this model. It has to be the sorriest and smallest ice maker that exists. Do not buy this ref if you use over three glasses of ice a day. It sucks.
This appliance (Over the Range 2.1 Cu.Ft. Microwave Oven) was bought in April, 2016 for $500.00. In April, 2018 the vent began turning itself when no one was using the oven & ion. August 13th a fire had just started while I was asleep. Luckily I woke up & was able to unplug the oven. 8/14/16 I contacted Samsung. I was hung up on or suddenly disconnected a few times but was finally given a repair ticket. A repair shop called on 8/16 and told my husband that he had to take the microwave off its mount by 8/20 because they were coming. Although Samsung was paying them they could only come at one particular time on 8/20 and would not reschedule. Also they refused to come unless the microwave was unmounted. Two people have to unmount the microwave so we had to arrange help or that was it! I called Samsung right afterward and they said the ticket was canceled. From then on we got the runaround and the gist of it was that wed have to pay $200.00 or the cost of a repair, not having any idea whether or not it could be repaired.
My parents took delivery of a Samsung fridge model RS267LBWP on Sept.13, 2007. It worked for 32 months and then had no cooling problem. This problem has now gone on for 26 months and 7 service calls (at considerable expense) to the Samsung authorized repair center. Their Customer Service experience has been dreadfully poor as they are unresponsive to what is really a lemon. I have tried to escalate to the Voice of the Customer Manager who referred me to the Office of the President (yes, OOP - spell it backwards and thats exactly what it means). Take this notice and warn people to never buy a Samsung product. They do a great job of marketing and advertising but youre on your own if the product ever has a problem. Sony and Apple lead the way in terms of customer service. I will stick by those brands and the excellent service that they have provided in the past.Just an addendum: A family member bought a 52 Samsung LED TV 3 years ago and now the TV is developing dead pixels in the middle of the screen. This is obviously a Samsung problem but they have no solution to the problem and wont offer one other than a new $800 screen. The end of story - buy a Samsung product if you want but dont say you werent warned of the major customer service deficiencies this company exhibits.
Bought a microwave as part of a package at Home Depot. I never write reviews but frustration with the product and service has compelled me to warn others. Bought new in August of 18. The unit worked for a short period then started to shut off while heating of foods. Called customer service and they told us to unplug and wait 5 min. That happened often until we eventually called for a service call. We had to remove it from above stove as Samsung does not do this. Said it was a liability issue. Technician came out and attempted to fix. Did not have correct parts. Came out again and still did not have the correct parts. Waiting for 3rd appointment. Will see if this fixes problem. Major inconvenience to have to wait for service tech on 3 separate occasions. Quite unfair to consumers. I recommended they send out a new one after the 2nd visit. Would have been cheaper for Samsung. Home Depot recommended Samsung as a quality brand. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. Totally bad experience all around. Had I read the reviews before buying I would have bought another brand.
Samsung doesnt believe in customer satisfaction, they dont take responsibility of their faulty, defective products. Doesnt even bother to get it fixed even if its a safety hazard. Bought a gas cooking range year ago, gas is leaking from somewhere inside the oven. They have a worst customer service. They want customer to spend money on repairs, seems like, they are making money from there as well.
Samsung’s idea of customer service is “3 – 5 business days and someone will call you”. At this point we have been without a functioning refrigerator (I consider a refrigerator to be a basic need in this day and age) for 14 days! The specifics are below: A service tech was sent to ‘fix’ the problem one week after we first reported the problems to Samsung. The fix/part replacement (2 different parts were tried) did not correct the problem. The Tech talked with Samsung’s technical support from our home and said, My office will call you on Monday (9 days after the report to Samsung). On Wednesday (11 days after the report to Samsung) the same tech is back with a 3rd different part. Still not the answer. At this point, it is determined that we need a whole new refrigerator (current unit is only 6 months old). The Tech entered a ticket into the system AND once again it is 3 – 5 days before someone will call us. Not, 3 – 5 days and you will have a new refrigerator – NO, 3 – 5 days and someone will talk with you about what can be done. Now it has been exactly 14 days since our Samsung refrigerator has worked. Still we have not received a call from anyone from Samsung regarding the solution to our problem. This was my first Samsung refrigerator; it will be my last.
I had my Samsung side-by-side fridge repaired less than a year ago. The fan motor sounds like a lawn mower and it has started up again. It stops when you open the freezer door but as soon as it closes, the noise starts right back up. It is constant and driving me crazy, not to mention, embarrassing when you have guest visiting. I will have to call out a repair guy again. The last one said there was ice build that was causing the noise. This is the worst purchase of my life! This product is less than 3 years old!
Purchased a Samsung dishwasher, DW80F600 from hhgregg. Delivered on Tuesday and not working on Thursday. Code is smart auto, water supply error. Checked, water is going in. Hhgregg said bring it in, well replace it but well have to absorb the install $269 and arrange our own install. Do not buy Samsung dishwashers or shop at hhgregg. Im holding my breath b/c I purchased a fridge and range...
I purchased a home 2 years ago and it had a newly installed Samsung over-the-range microwave installed. After only one use, it suddenly stopped working. The seller told me he got it at Lowes and so I took it back and they exchanged it with no problem. This microwave lasted about 18 months and started giving us the SE code. I got online and read all the problems these units are having. I tried unplugging and holding down certain buttons with no success. I am an electrician so I decided to just take it apart and see if I could see the problem. I had read about a connector that was the problem on one post so I started there. Be sure to disconnect power before working on it. After you remove the 2 vent screws and remove the vent, then take out the one screw that holds the keypad in. On the back of the pad there is a blue plug with one blue wire on one side and 2 white ones on the other. I disconnected this plug for about 30 seconds and plugged it back in and it started working now. I will see how long this will last.
We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator from Lowes with an extended warranty for five years. After two months, we had to call repair service because there was no ice. Once the item is sold, Lowes refers all responsibility to their (I quote) We have contacted Service Advantage with this issue. A&E Factory Service is the service provider and will be contacting you for a resolution within 5-7 days. Today is the 7th day and no response. We have had 7-8 service calls on this refrigerator 7 for the same problem. When we called for service the second time, Lowes informed us that the Service technician would determine whether or not the service call is covered under the warranty, this made us hesitant to keep calling on the same problem. We still have no ice and only promises from Lowes that Service Advantage would contact us. (Isnt that similar to asking the fox to check the hen house to see if any chickens are missing?) We contacted Service Advantage 8 times, repairs made 8 times, nothing worked. We were told by Lowes store manager that after 7 calls on the same problem the item would be declared a lemon. Samsung Refrigerators are beautiful to look at, but are totally unreliable and everyone that you talk to that owns one says they have problems with the ice maker.
Our 5 yr. old Samsung French door fridge has wasted about 300 dollars worth of food. The first repairman from A&E recharged the freon and ordered some parts. One of the parts was a new compressor, which they ship to the house and install at a later date. We request with Samsungs guy in India to make sure we get the same guy to install the new compressor. (You cannot talk to A&E directly.) Some other guy shows up (had to miss another days work to accommodate their service, 250 bucks down the drain again.) This new guy takes the inside fridge panel off and says the upper evaporator coil is leaking because Samsung put too many zip ties holding it in. He snips off the zip ties, then he claims the compressor wasnt needed and the first guy who came should have known they were not authorized by Samsung to do any repairs. He leaves...... now Im dead in the water. I call Samsung office of the president (yeah right) they set me up with another repair tech. I yelp the new repair service and they have the worst reputation in the book. Soooooooo I call back the Samsung prezzizz office in Jersey and request they authorize the original repair techs from A &E to return. The freezer just went warm again. We are giving away food to friends. It is Thursday the new repair appt. is this Monday. Another day off work and probably a re-diagnose and subsequent appt. while they wait for parts. SMART FRIDGE MY A.. Samsung scam to buy a new fridge maybe. This is what over 2000 dollars gets you nowadays. Sad part is I hear even high end fridges have multiple problems too.
We purchased our Samsung Refrigerator less than two years ago and have gone through 4 ice makers. The last one was replaced only 1 month ago and we already are having problems. Have spent hours on the phone with Samsung and they are willing to do nothing. I have been in tears over this. I would never recommend Samsung to anyone. They have HORRIBLE Customer Service. We spent thousands of dollars on this refrigerator that will now end up in the trash. Can you believe this? Please pass the word around that this is a company you do not want to do business with.
Purchased 2010 & got extended warranty (which I usually dont do). Have had 2 Motherboards in the last year, new fan motor, fan was encased in ice both times and repairman had to thaw it with hairdryer so as not to break the plastic. Was told that when we have a power surge and the temps say 888, hold down the middle buttons on each side of the temp numbers for 15 seconds. That sets the temp again. Now my fridge says 36 degrees but water bottles at the back freeze solid, and also tomatoes in the front. Thank GOD I had the warranty, but I also will never buy Samsung again!
Just reached the 6th year of owning our Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator RM257ABSH which we paid nearly $3000. A&E (Sears) is the only repair option... I called every repair place and also asked for referrals to repair people they knew. The A&E repairman that found the leak in our coil was very knowledgeable, but the coil I paid for never came in. The appointment date came and went with no phone call. I called A&E, three or four times before I found out that their parts source no longer carries the coil and they had move my appoint from the 6th to the 20th of February. I called Samsung, since my fridge at this point has been down for 4 weeks and was given Customer Relations... after four business days of going back and forth between A&E and Samsung, I was told that the coil is no longer available and they would have to buy back my fridge. The A&E repairman during the service call told me coils are the most common problem with refrigerators... which means that when you buy an expensive refrigerator from Samsung, you cant count on them keeping parts past the 5 year warranty. The Customer Relations person told me it was past its 5 year warranty point that they carry parts. They offered me a buy back that is reduced by 10% per year. I could have fixed the fridge for $495, instead I trash a $3000 unit for a few hundred dollars... What a deal!!!!!The total repair cost by A&E was $495.00. I paid $185.00 down for parts and the service call. Now I am out of $1500-2500 for a new fridge and Samsung may give me a small buy back amount! My advice... Never, Never, Never buy a Samsung refrigerator because they may not carry your parts after the warranty. Their fix is to give you a few hundred bucks and send you on your way to your next purchase... which in my case will never be a Samsung!!!
My wife and I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator at Lowes here in our town. 2 days after it was delivered there was a puddle of water inside the freezer (caught before it froze) we called them and Lowes sent a tech out to fix it. Three days after that, we had the same problem, so Lowes replaced the whole refrigerator. 2 months later, the ice maker quit making ice, called they sent a repairman out which took two weeks, and got it fixed. Then about 4 months later, it would not dispense ice, again another call and another repair. 3 months later when I would get ice it would not stop and it would keep spitting out ice, need I say it again? Another repair!!!!! Now we are into a year and a half with this piece of ** and now it overfills the water in the ice maker which then freezes and breaks the ice holder, so at this point Lowes said, Sorry, its out of warranty, you need to call Samsung!!! So I call Samsung, they were very helpful gave me a 1 time out of warranty service repair! So again it takes a few weeks but they replace the entire ice maker. Flash forward 6 months to today, 3/6/14, and guess what? Yup you guessed it, its not making ice at all, so I call Samsung and basically am told its out of warranty and after exhausting all resources there is nothing they can do!!!! Oh I almost forgot, after one of the repairs the service tech left me a spare part, and told me, if the ice maker would not stop dispensing ice, here is a spare part to fix it, and of course it did, so I also replaced it once myself!!! This Samsung Refrigerator is the biggest junk I have ever owned I will never ever buy a Samsung product again!!!
Same problem as hundreds of others! A beautiful $2200.00 problem! Only 3 years old and nothing but problems! Freezer works fine, but fan freezes up so the fridge stops cooling. Never trust the temp, bought 2 fridge thermometers to keep in it and watch them constantly! Lost lots of groceries, had a new control board put in to fix the problem, but after 2 weeks had to thaw it again; now after only 1 week, it’s happening again. Is there a fix or do I go buy a new one? Would like to join a lawsuit with others!
DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Spent almost $1200 in June 2014. Washer would pop open during sanitize cycle within 1 month after purchase. Has undergone two official Samsung repairs and continues to break. Last time repair was completed and product broke within 24 hours. I had purchased additional warranty and was repeatedly refused when I asked for the product to be replaced. I bought a different dishwasher tonight NOT A SAMSUNG less than 5 months after purchase.
We have had this refrigerator for 5 years. Actually, the freezer and refrigerator work fine, but after 1st year the ice maker would build up ice crystals and then quit making ice. Have tried numerous times to fix it and nothing lasts. A few months ago water started leaking from underneath the refrigerator too. Samsung definitely needs to fix this issue!
Hoping you can give me suggestion to file a significant complaint to Samsung regarding my side by side refrigerator (RS554NRUASL). We bought this two years ago for our second home from which we only used during Christmas and summer or about a total of less than five months. Due to the pandemic, we again use it since August but the unit was already DEFECTIVE. We filed a complaint thru the Samsung website but they only accept queries for their digital units. There was even an option in their website to complain to the Samsung CEO, from which I did, but to no avail. We are also in touch with the local service rep of Samsung since the the first week of September, paid a big amount for parts and service but the unit is still DEFECTIVE! Please help.
I bought a refrigerator model number DF32FMQDBSR. It has been less than four months and it is already giving me problems. A tech from Samsung came and told me that my refrigerator is not working because its missing pieces, it also seems that this unit was previously used. I have tried to get in touch with a supervisor or manager but no response has been receive. They do not want to replace my unit.
I bought this refrigerator because of the high tech features. For weeks I tried to sync my calendar from my phone to the refrigerator screen with no success. I admit I am not that savvy on tech, but I had two people who are and they gave up. I had the box for less than a year. The lock on the water/ice control comes on and you have to go through the screen to find the lock and unlock it. For the second time, the dispenser will not toggle from ice to water. The entire part was replace less than a month ago and I am having the same problem. I love the idea of high tech and the integration but clearly, if you cant get a Samsung phone to sync with the Samsung refrigerator there is a problem. This was NOT a cheap unit so I am frustrated to pay so much and have nothing but problems. The customer service is terrible. They always tell you to reboot the computer or turn off the refrigerator and refresh it by plugging it back in after a minute. Easier said than done. The refrigerator is in a cabinet and I have to roll it out and squeeze in to unplug it and plug it in again. I had a Kenmore for 15 years and never had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work. I am very dissatisfied with this appliance.
We bought our refrigerator (Samsung RS261M/XAA) from Pacific Sales In Ontario CA. Like many others here, we decided to pay a higher price in hopes of getting a better product. This product lasted about 13 months. The warranty is 12 months. The refrigerator starting making this loud horrible racket which turned out to be the infamous ice dam hitting the fan. We removed all the food and defrosted it. This quieted it down again. Three months later the noise is back and were spending another weekend fixing it. We cannot afford another fridge so were stuck with this cycle for now. Do not buy Samsung Products. They are defective and they do not stand by them when they break.
This oven is awesome. I get all of my food cooked or baked, I recommended, it goes to a high and a low temperature, I love this oven, it gets the job done. I say 10/10, go down to your store or wherever you get electronics and buy it now!!!
I was warned not to buy a Samsung refrigerator. Unfortunately I did not listen. The ice maker never worked that well from the day we bought it, but now 2 years new and it only giving us 5- 10 cubes a day. We were led to believe that we had a 10 year warranty just to find out the ice maker only has a one year.
Samsung SMH9187 Microwave with SE error - Pro tip: Take a picture of the SE error displayed on your microwave if you plan to try to get Samsung to repair it. About two weeks ago, our microwave displayed the SE error code and began to beep every 15 minutes or so. I looked online for suggestions, and one of the first was to unplug the microwave and see if it resets. That made sense to me; most of us have encountered the occasional electronic gremlin. Unfortunately, I didnt think to take a picture of the SE error first. Ill explain later why that matters.Unplugging the microwave for a few minutes and plugging it in again, got rid of the SE error. Unfortunately, the microwave would then turn on by itself and attempt to cook an imaginary baked potato. It was like a ghost was pushing the baked potato button. I assume there is such a button, the display would read BAKED POTATO and the microwave would run. Not a good situation. We unplugged the microwave. I then researched further, and found that this is not an uncommon problem and a number of people were successfully getting this model of microwave with the SE error repaired free of charge.I called Samsung and related my story. I was given options for repair, each of which would cost me more money than I wanted to spend. When I countered that I had read Samsung was fixing the SE error, I was told that was true BUT I NO LONGER HAD THE SE ERROR. The customer service rep said I now had a different problem, the imaginary baked potato cooking problem. Frustrating. She then said perhaps I could plug my microwave in again and the SE error would return - worth a try. She gave me an issue ticket number for future use. I plugged the microwave in, and after stopping and clearing some baked potato cooking sessions, and a few hours of silence, the SE code reappeared. Success, in a manner of speaking, I took several pictures of the display showing the SE code.I called Samsung again. I gave them my ticket number, explained that I again had the SE code, and asked that they repair my microwave. They said okay immediately, but emphasized my consent that if the issue was something other than the SE error, it would cost me. I said fine, and explained I had pictures of the SE error to show the repair tech even if the microwave did not display the SE error when he arrived - which was the case. The tech came this morning and repaired the microwave this morning. Yes, I had to go through some hassle, but Samsung repaired my nearly four year old microwave at their expense. Thats pretty nice. (They repaired a more than four year old TV for me too, but thats another story.)
We purchased a Samsung glass cooktop stove. Three months after our purchase the glass top cracked. The crack occurred the second time I used the burner. I noticed the crack the next morning when I went to dust the cooktop. A KitchenAid repair person told us, that this happens occasionally with glass cooktops. Glass can have bubbles, etc... This repair is covered under their warranty. Samsung however considers this physical damage and their warranty does not cover physical damage. Nothing bumped the stove or fell on top of the cooktop. We have had a glass cooktop for twenty years, so it took me a while to understand what this meant.Regardless of what is wrong or if there is a defect in the product that results in physical damage, then it is not warranted. I am amazed that they can get away with this. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product and plan to report this to every consumer protection agency I can reach. This is definitely a buyer beware organization. As another reviewer said, their warranty is useless.
We have a fancy expensive lemon!! Buyer beware. DO NOT BUY!! The bottom freezer doesnt work and continues to leak despite numerous repairs done by Samsung. The side of refrigerator is bulging causing it to get stuck in between my kitchen cabinets. I called the fire department because I was scared of the leak and how hot the back of the refrigerator got. Sears repair has been to my home more than 4 times with no answers. They just replace parts and it still does not work. My next stop is the media if I dont get answer from Samsung.
This stove has broken down twice and has been unusable more than it has been operational. Stay Away ....find an alternate. The repair process takes at least 2 weeks then parts then back to fix. This thing is bad, bad, bad.
I believe Samsung on purpose! made an oven that does not allow you to put foil on the bottom of the oven to catch any spills. Knowing most people do put the foil on the bottom; this is the way they get more money from the consumer because the melting foil and the damage of the coating that came off is not covered by the warranty. I had 2 service people come out 4 months after purchase for another problem and neither of them said anything about the foil that was on the bottom of the oven. Your own service people are not educated about the products they are working on. Now I have an oven I can no longer use. Its less than a 1 year old. Purchased on 4/17/19.It says in the manual page 8, (But not in Bold) that the foil could cause electric shock or catch fire. That seems pretty important but you didnt bother to make that in Bold. Because you want people to use the foil/liner and ruin their ovens. You put stupid things in bold like, use care when toughing the cooktop. Like I need to be told that! Really Samsung, you have gone backwards in developing new products. Why would you design something that not every oven user will know what not to do unless they read your user manual. What about when you sell a house. Should the new owners automatically know that your oven could cause an electric shock or catch fire because they put a liner on the bottom of the oven. It seem like your lack of care for your customers really speaks volume of what kink of people you are! You set your customers up to fail, and that makes you a big failure! The oven already does not follow the California law of not having any cancer causing materials. Wow! Samsung, thanks again for caring so much about your buyer! You had a designer who was not educated on why the foil on the bottom of the oven is so important. And probably has never used an oven. Pay attention to your buyers! Get better designers who have experience in using the product! Just because they have a college degree does not mean they know anything about what they are designing! I will make sure I let everyone I know not to buy Samsung and why!
Warning! Do not waste your money purchasing this colossal pile of garbage (5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Chef Collection Range NE58H9970WS). It rarely bakes/cooks evenly and it will frequently and rapidly overheat causing your food to burn and ultimately fry the electrical panel. Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. Im going with the latter of the two. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again. If I could give is NEGATIVE STARS I would.
I have Samsung side-by-side refrigerator model RS267LASH/XAA bought in March 4th, 2006. A few days ago, its fridge side stopped cooling and all the food inside went bad. Now the fan on the fridge side is noisy. The noise stops as soon as I open the fridge side door. There is no cooling on the fridge side. When I investigated this issue, it seems like this is a very common issue with Samsung refrigerators. This is a just a six years old refrigerator and I always clean it every month. Never in my life had I any problems with the refrigerators I used. I have found out that Samsung people know about this problem, but they wont fix it. I have to pay for it as the warranty is over.
We bought a French door, bottom freezer, Samsung refrigerator in 2012. In 2015 it quit making ice. I replaced the ice maker. In less than 2 years that ice maker quit. I called Samsung. They said they could not do anything because the refrigerator was too far out of warranty. A $2000.00 refrigerator should not require ice maker replacement every 2 or so years. I WILL NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE AGAIN. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF TIME, MONEY, AND FRUSTRATION, AND DO THE SAME!
Tonight as I was cooking some appetizers in the oven at 375 degrees, we heard an odd buzzing sound, then a pop, then black smoke started streaming out the upper back part of the oven, accompanied by flame. Our house now reeks of burned electrical components. Until this point, the oven has worked fine. We bought it in November of 2011. We will never buy a Samsung appliance again. I will be phoning them tomorrow morning, but I highly doubt anything will come of it. I guess its okay to spend hundreds on an oven that will only last that long and be a huge safety hazard. I will repost after I talk to them.
I did a kitchen remodel in December 2013. I bought all new appliances and was really impressed with the Samsung Dishwasher DW80F600UTS/AA model. In just over a year of having it installed, the dishwasher would stop after about 20 minutes and the delicate light would flash. I called Samsung and they said it was my drain line. I had someone come out and check my drain line, but that was not the problem. I called Samsung again and explained my situation. I was told that if I used their service center and if it was deemed Samsungs fault it would be repaired. I agreed and paid $110 for the service company to come to my house. He told me that the motherboard has gone out in all of these models but usually within the year. Since I am a single person and dont wash dishes as much as most families it just took it a little longer.I called Samsung again after they received his report and basically was offered to buy a extended warranty. When I refused, I was offered for the part to be paid for but not the installation. Customer Service is horrible. Every time I called they said I would get a phone call regarding their customer service but as of today there has been no phone call - guess they really dont care. Its a shame that they dont stand behind their product - if the motherboard had been replaced in this model I should have received something within the year of buying it stating there was a problem and they were willing to replace it. Car manufacturers recall their product when they see a problem and is willing to repair/replace product.
We purchased our Samsung RS261MDRS/XAA a Little less than 5 years ago. It has been a nightmare. The first week, we had to call the company because the refrigerator was not cooling properly. We had a technician come by to fix it. Perhaps it was a computer problem. The refrigerator would not cool properly, and the freezer would frost up. The very first years we had several people try to fix the freezing of the back panel problem. We have nursed it along, but less than 5 years of ownership, for the second or third time, we have had to move all of our food elsewhere to keep from losing it. The fan made a loud clatter, then nothing. Food kept getting warmer - who knows whats safe, so we had to throw it all away again! Samsung is over their head with refrigerators- cell phones, not so much. Buy at your own risk.
About one year after I purchased my Samsung dishwasher (DMT800RHS), we began getting error messages and problems with dishes. We had a Samsung authorized tech come out at $250 expense to ourselves and he found a bunch of plastic pieces the color of the racks in the pump impeller. Nearly 6 months later, we had the same issue and had a local tech come out. For another $75, he retrieved the same rack colored pieces of plastic out of the pump. Tonight, we had a third tech come out and retrieve more rack pieces out of the pump. I have attached photos of the rack adjuster, where every plastic attachment is broken on both sides. These have broken during operation. I hope this review helps someone choose carefully when purchasing a dishwasher, and avoid the headache that we have been dealing with.
Love my Samsung stove/oven. I bought the black stainless steel. The style is amazing! The oven heats up quickly. Love the delay start, self cleaning works great too. The oven control helps me manage all my cooking needs, bake, roast.
I purchased a Samsung Bottom Freezer #RB215LABP in May 2009. Within a year, I noticed underneath the fresh produced bins there was accumulated water underneath both bins and semi-frozen. I cleaned it up and thought nothing of it. Consulted the owners manual but it failed to mention that. I adjusted the temperature but did not notice any other on-going issues.Fall 2013, I noticed the ice maker stopped working and my frozen foods were no longer frozen. Just my luck, I realized my warranty expired 4 months ago. Out of pocket payment to local service guy who informed me that its a manufacturer’s defect. The computer board for the freezer is defective. There are also issues with a loss of freon, compressor is blocked and defrost issue. Despite all of these problems, there is nothing wrong with the ice maker - it just cant make ice due to the other issues. This was my dream refrigerator and Im so disappointed that in less than 5 five years, I must purchase/replace a major appliance. Who has that kind of money? BUYER BEWARE.
We bought Samsung microwave, to go along with all other Samsung appliances. We paid several hundred dollars for unit, and have been highly disappointed. Without warning, microwave stopped working entirely. We had all breakers tested to ensure the issue was in fact the microwave. Then, called Samsung Support. When we were told this wouldnt be covered by warranty *though they werent sure what the problem was, and advised we would need to schedule service. An appliance that you pay good money for, should continue working - and if it doesnt, it should be considered faulty by the manufacturer. Forgive me for not wanting to pay Samsung any more money for selling a bad product, being less than helpful, and no guarantee that even if they fix the unit, that we wont continue to have problems.Additional side notes: We used this microwave minimally, always kept it clean, and even advised Samsung Support that we just needed them to provide us a website - in order for us to refer to make the repair ourselves. Avoid the hours of wasted time if youve had your microwave over a year. And, in hopes you havent already bought a Samsung unit, read reviews of other manufacturers and the way they handle complaints, before making an investment. Had we done that, we wouldnt be shelling out hundreds of dollars for a replacement - our savings for Christmas gifts will now be covering malfunctions of something that is less than 2.5 years old. Thank you for your time.
We use our microwave mostly to warm leftovers or frozen pre-made foods. This microwave works as expected. It’s an over the cooktop model with the exhaust fan built in. I would purchase it again if it quit.
The oven door is so easier to open than the KitchenAid that was in the house when I downsized shortly following my husbands passing in October 2019.
Went with Samsung given what we thought was a strong brand name, and the fact that the microwave had a sleek contemporary look. After just over a year the vent fan or light will spontaneously kick on. At the same time, the touchpad controls will not respond. We have to wash and basically polish the control panel - which runs along the bottom of the door, in order to regain control of the unit. And just for the record, the door can be spotlessly clean and it will still happen. And as the last couple of months have shown, the incidents are increasing in frequency. Also, if there is any time remaining after use (and no one clears the settings), the microwave will sporadically start to run. Imagine being in bed and having your microwave turn on - or the fan burst on. After reading other reviews I do not feel encouraged to call Samsung and unfortunately I will seek replacement with another manufacturer.
I bought a brand new Samsung refrigerator from Sears. We noticed these loud clanking, whirring and groaning noises from the first day it was delivered. At first we thought maybe it was just making these terrible noises due to cooling down and it would stop eventually. It never did. I called Sears a couple days past the 30 days since we received it and they told me that I had to call Samsung and that it would be covered under my warranty. So, I called Samsung, who scheduled a service appointment with me. These two guys who barely spoke English advised me that the noise was caused by my ice maker, so they turned the ice maker off and left, saying the noise should be resolved now. Well...I SHOULD be able to use my ice maker....right??? Brand new fridge and the SOLUTION is not to USE my ice maker??? HUH???So, fast forward to the next scheduled visit by the Samsung repair guys. Same guys. They tell me that the ice maker is BACK ON. I advised that I didnt even know where it was to turn it on. They said they turned it off, and left. Assuring me that the noises are perfectly normal. Just dont use my Ice maker. WHATEVER. Brand new Fridge! I cant use my ice maker? Thats the solution?!Next Samsung visit. I asked for a different technician. They send out a new guy, who tells me that the issue is a bar like thing from the freezer. He says he will schedule the repair and parts. Admits that the noises are NOT normal. Next scheduled visit, the same two original guys show up again and they have a fan, and some other parts THAT are OBVIOUSLY NOT what was shown to me and needed replacement. So, I ask them to CALL the last technician and find out what they were to replace. SOOOO... they leave and say that a different technician needs to replace the part.Next scheduled visit, the manager shows up and says that he hears the sounds and its the MOTOR and the COMPRESSOR. The MAIN working operational parts for a fridge!!! So, they schedule another visit with THOSE parts. Next visit, they replace the motor and the compressor in my now 2 month old refrigerator. AND ITS STILL MAKING THE NOISES!I asked for a replacement, since now I have essentially a REFURBISHED BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR... and SAMSUNG customer service tells me... get this...The sounds coming from my refrigerator are NORMAL! I can hear the thing making groaning noises like its dying from the opposite end of the house, at approximately 1,000 ft away! SAMSUNG and their outsourced technicians are a racket/scam and they are making a fortune by ignoring their responsibilities to honor the warranty. They wont fix the issue, and they also wont replace. Now, I will be faced with hiring an attorney... simply because of the principle of the matter. Im tired of consumers being taken advantage of. I have a shiny refurbished piece of crap in my kitchen. Likewise, I have a 20 year old perfectly running, quiet refrigerator in my garage that I paid a fraction for and have NEVER had a single issue with it. Lesson learned here folks, is NEVER, EVER, EVER buy a Samsung refrigerator. EVER.
Purchased a Samsung dishwasher August 2013. From the very start it did not clean well. I have to scrub the dishes and utensils in order for them to come out clean. They could not help me resolve that problem. August 2014, dishwasher would shut off after 2 mins. Had to have the EC Sensor replaced. I did research and found that this is a faulty design that Samsung should address and fix! Samsung has POOR customer service. They do not respond to messages left, by phone. When you do reach an actual person you can figure on spending at least an hour per call and still you will not have had any resolution to your problem. They do not follow up in a timely manner in getting a local repair company dispatched to your home. They do not let you know who they have dispatched and when they are coming to your home. After many hours of dealing with Samsung, on the phone, they would not give us another dishwasher. So we are stuck!! We went ahead and purchased the extended warranty today seeing that we have already had two major issues with this machine in less than a year of owning it. We will be using that warranty quite a lot.
I own a Samsung black stainless steel refrigerator. The ice maker stopped working a few months later. Never made a big deal about it but after calling Samsung they wanted to charge me for a tech to take a look. I did buy the extended warranty. Samsung has a class action lawsuit against them for this problem. They never made the American public aware of this problem. They insist there is no recall but acknowledge via bulletins there is a problem. I asked both chat technician and customer support why are we not being told and asked to speak to someone who could answer me. I was told no one could call me by Kit the chat tech and customer support hung up on me.I own about 12 different Samsung appliances. Disgusting how they take our money and then turn their backs. I am a hard working American citizen and I refuse to put another dime in Samsungs pocket. Their employees take joy on seeing fellow Americans used and I would never recommend buying Samsung again. I wasted 4 plus hours to be lied to then to be hung up on. I would recommend never to buy Samsung and I will make it my duty to rid my house of all Samsung products. This company is all about defrauding hard working Americans.
Terrible experience with Samsung and Sears. Refrigerator has design defect. Water Leaking in crisper drawers, gasket molded, door spring broke and handles paint peeled, and evaporator cover would not seal in first 10 months. Samsung and Sears will not replace this lemon. We will NEVER do business with Sears or Samsung!! We are moving this out of our kitchen before it ruins our wood floors and we have more expense. The worst refrigerator experience in our 43 year marriage. Sad day when companies are so worthless. Looking for class action suit.
We have the same issue with Samsung refrigerator model RS263TDRS/XAA purchased in 2011. The fan makes loud noise and stops as soon as door is opened. The icing inside the casing is leading to this fan noise. Samsung sucks. Add me to lawsuit. Please send confirmation when done and send updates on the lawsuit. Thank you.
After 2 years, this stove broke during the self clean cycle (only 2nd time I ran self clean). I tried calling Samsung and they were no assistance. They gave me the name of several repair facilities none of which were still in business or willing to come to my town which by the way is not large but still has 60,000 people living in it. Samsung does not provide any service whatsoever once a product is out of warranty. I was put on hold for 40 minutes - tried talking to a supervisor who promised to call me back with a list of repair facilities and they never did. I spent almost $4000 on this range and after two years it has broken and I cannot get it serviced. I am building a new home and will never ever again by Samsung appliances. I could have lived with a quality issue but not with the absolute zero service and willing to help issue. I have heard that Samsung tries to make getting service so horrendous that people will just buy another unit rather than fixing it. To spend $4000 on a stove that only lasts 2 years is unacceptable!
Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator! I purchased a French door, bottom freezer, center drawer unit in November 2014. Beautiful appliance! I never really cared for the icemaker, but it made ice so I was ok with it until the unit was 2 1/2 years old. The ice maker began to freeze on the bottom and no ice was made. Then the water began dripping out of the front door dispenser. Fortunately I purchased the extended warranty, but when the repairmen came, on four occasions, there was not much they could do to remedy the situation. Finally they ordered a new icemaker, but then Samsung backordered for over a month then sent the wrong parts. Seems Samsung has completely changed the repair of their icemakers and the repairmen have not installed a new one to their specifications, so mine is the first. Great! Mine will be the Guinea Pig! Wish I had this purchase to do over, and had my $2000 (sale price) back to purchased an American made unit.
I have complained since day one, when this piece of junk was delivered to my house! To begin with, they delivered the wrong fridge from Conns in Baton Rouge LA (named appropriately). I tried to explain to the delivery men that I had ordered a white fridge that matches my kitchen, with nothing black in it! The fridge has never worked! It finally got so hot last week, I had to turn it off and put outside. As everyone online said, I can forget Samsung or Conns help or sympathy in this matter! I will not go out of my way on Facebook and any place anyone will listen to me and expose this factory and Appliance store. They have the worst name is their refrigerators than anyone I have ever of! Now, I can truly understand why! I wish everyone would get together and sign a class action lawsuit against these phonies. They should be closed permanently! I am a widow and Ive on coc sec. income and now I have no refrigerator, Samsung and Conns could care less. When I first bought the fridge 3 yrs ago, I tried to make them replace it and save 6 service trips because it was a lemon, but now I hear that all they have are lemons and they could care less.
We purchased a Samsung kitchen bundle (microwave, refrigerator, oven and dishwasher) from Home Depot. A week after installation the microwave caught fire and created a burned hole on the inside of the microwave. Contacted Samsung and have been spinning for 2 weeks now as they will not replace this unit, only repair it. At this point we paid for a BRAND NEW unit, 2 weeks ago, and we have zero confidence in the reliability and safety of this unit being repaired. Samsung has been very unresponsive to our request. Cannot believe that big corporations can treat people in this way. Taking our hard earned money and not replacing like for like.
OK, I am a very seasoned mechanic. I put a new bearing set in my pile of crap, front-loader Maytag washer. I can fix anything from a BMW to a microwave. I bought this SAMSUNG at LOWES and right after the warranty, the auto and normal lights blink, it stops mid-cycle and take like six reboots to even get going, and 80 percent of the time, same thing, the lights are back. The drain lines good. It hooked to hot water line. Its just a big pile of crap like every other post here. I will pull it out and start to fix it today. From day one the soap packs hung up. If you dont use a rinse product, it WILL NOT CLEAN DISHES. Its freakin required! DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG DISHWASHER!!! Lucky me, I can fix this crap pile, pull it out, and Craigslist it goes. Awful product. They should be ashamed.
What a huge disappointment with my less than 3 year old Samsung Fridge!!! And their aftercare service! As soon as I bought this refrigerator, Model # RF24FSEDBSR/AA which costed me $3,400 started having a problem within a week from the installation. Samsung sent me 2 different the 3rd party vendors to fix the problem since the 1st one couldnt. These two 3rd party vendors moved around my refrigerator in order to take a look at the back at that time. For last 5-6 months my fridge stopped cooling and it was accumulating ice in the back panel along with lots water dripping on the wall panel. Foods were easily molding and spoiled. When I called Samsung, they stated its because the refrigerator is not leveled and eventually its ruined fan functions. My refrigerator stayed exactly how the Samsung repairman left little less than 3 years ago with the wheels touch ground which was causing unleveling and eventual ruining the fridge completely. Samsung was showing no apology nor remedy whatsoever since the warranty time is over. They were asking me to talk to the vendor who left the refrigerator unleveled even though Samsung is the one who hired those vendors 3 years ago. Extremely disappointed with Samsung product and their service. Never buying Samsung products again. Definitely I will let other people to hear my voice every chance I get.
DO NOT waste your time and money. Samsung appliances are worst and their customer service is even worst than their service. The dishwasher came faulty from the company and we used for 1 time only and we reported that. They cant fix it so they decided to replace it. However they have unit to sell on website but not to replace (which doesnt make sense at all). So they offered me a refund what I paid and I dont want that as they are selling the same unit 200 more than what I paid and havent used that unit even. Also, they said the warranty start from the date of purchase and not when it got delivered.
Fridge is nice looking, only! Problems. Ice maker seal does not fully close thus melting the cubes ready to drop causing water to leak onto the shelf below. Water dispenser also leaks after using. Already had mechanical issues. When calling Samsung if out of warranty THEY will NOT back the product up. Mine was out by 2 months. Just FYI. DO NOT buy the microwave either, major door issues with most models. Read reviews. Again!! Warranty 5 months past will NOT back up KNOWING per Samsung repair rep. Did offer service call to replace door at $365.
Samsung Refrigerator Model RF4287HARS/XAA. As someone else had just posted on this site, I also had the number 1 and the letter E flashing on my refrigerator panel after a power outage when the power came back on. We called the 800# and were told to unplug for 10 minutes and that it would reset. We plugged it back in and it did not fix the problem. I called the 1-800-Samsung number again and was told, Sorry, your 1 year warranty was up in September. So my 1-1/2 year old refrigerator cost me $421.58 to fix. They had to replace the main board. I am outraged that something that I just spent $2800.00 on had now cost me $421.58 in repairs. I will never buy this brand again. I should have bought American made!
Fridge - weve had problems from the start. Samsung has sent local technicians to fix it 5-6 times now, including the main computer board and the compressor (twice). The last time the tech came, he said he doesnt know what else to do, and recommends it be replaced. Samsung has denied this and says it is repairable. So we are stuck between Samsung saying its fixable and the tech saying he doesnt know what to do. THIS IS HOW WARRANTIES WORK???I have been patient for six months trying to deal with this, but Im done. I am telling everyone I know to never buy a Samsung appliance ever again. Oh, and last week our dishwasher broke. We bought it just under a year ago, but they dont even read emails. I clearly explained that 06-10-2014 meant OCTOBER 6th, and NOT June 10. But they didnt even read the email I sent with the receipt and simply denied the claim, so now Im having to deal with that. Every single miscommunication costs a week in terms of getting repairs done in a timely fashion. Oh, and if Samsung EVER tells you they will call you back in 24 hours, DO NOT believe it. They have told us that 5-7 times during these processes and never once did they do so.
Our family purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator (RFF266-AEPN) in fall 2016. It was about $1,600 and looks nice. In February 2018 (after 12 months - when the warranty expired), we heard random beeping noises in the afternoon and evenings with the freezer temperature panel fluctuating wildly from -8F to 2F. I had a bad feeling when two high-quality appliance repair companies both refused to diagnose or fix ANY Samsung refrigerators. The Sears Appliance Service Company said the freezer fan was broken and that the replacement part was $650 in addition to a service installation fee ($150). So, now Im stuck with purchasing a brand new refrigerator in less than 2 years! Beware if you purchase a Samsung refrigerator. Im never going to buy a Samsung-brand refrigerator again.
I bought a beautiful Samsung refrigerator in July. It has water/ice on the door and a second climate drawer. Laid out perfectly - plenty of storage. In August, we noticed it was leaking water under the filter so we replaced the filter and it didnt improve. We turned off the water to the fridge and the leak continued. We called a repairman, through Samsung, and waited a couple of days for him to come. He diagnosed a broken valve and had to order a replacement part that he thought would take 8-10 days. When I hadnt heard back in 3 weeks, I called the repair company and they said the part was back ordered. They suggested I contact Samsung to get an estimated delivery time. Thus began 6 weeks of me contacting Samsung, spending hours on the phone, asking the same question, repeating the same story to every person I spoke with. Finally, I could stand it no longer and begged to be escalated. I finally found out there was no estimated time - no one knew if this part would ever be available. In the meantime, I have to daily mop up the water that comes out and floods under the produce bins; the second drawer is not usable because the water fills it and freezes. It ruins any food packaging. The water also spills out the drawers onto the floors and my hardwood floors are now damaged. I was escalated to Jaz. What a disappointment. She ignored my calls for days and only finally tried to speak with me when I hit 0 from her voice mail and begged another rep to help me. This lady definitely needs additional training in handling angry customers. She ultimately offered to swap the fridge, a frustrating process because we have a small opening and in your newer model of this fridge, youve added side vents that arent included in the specs and wont fit the opening. We finally came to a solution on October 31 and she 100% guaranteed that the new fridge would arrive on November 14 at the latest. On November 17th, I called at the end of the day to say I still hadnt received the fridge, not that I was surprised at this point. She committed to getting back to me once she found out where it was. She left me a message at noon the following day to say that the fridge was with a local delivery company and she would call back when she had a time estimate. I called again today, November 19, and left another message. Its been almost 3 months since I could use my fridge properly. I still have to mop up the leaking water and theres a whole section of the fridge I cant even put food in, not to mention no ice or water. She did offer me $150 as repayment for food spoilage, but I have not seen hide nor hair of that either. This is the WORST experience Ive ever had with an electronics manufacturer and I still have no idea when it will be resolved.
Purchased a new Samsung refrigerator when we purchased our home in 2011. Continued issues with the lights in the door. When you get ice, its almost impossible to stop it from spilling on the floor. Will never purchase Samsung again.
Samsung is a joke. We have a refrig, under warranty. They sent a tech 3 times, 3rd time (after charging us a total of $220) declared nonrepairable and theyd send a check for the invoice total (we submitted all they asked for, including a photo that wed cut the cord!). Promised refund on 9/12/2018. 10/12/2018 the chat guy doesnt answer. Nothing sent. They have trained people to keep you in a crazy loop that makes you think theyre working on the problem. In the end, nothing has happened but empty promises. Do NOT purchase SAMSUNG. Theres a reason for the low rating.
Samsung has been selling defective refrigerators for several years now and we are stuck with something that breaks every few weeks. It has been a nightmare of a purchase and we are fighting to get a refund back to be able to get a usable replacement.
We bought a Samsung French door refrigerator on June 28, 2012. Only a few days after purchase, spots began showing on the stainless steel doors. I called Samsung and read their suggestions online, which was to use a stainless steel cleaner as well as WD 40, but nothing removed the spots. They grew worse until the entire door was covered. I have been completing service requests with Samsung for three months now. Samsung canceled the first two requests and finally sent a Samsung service company to look at our fridge. The service company said they have never seen it before, and that it was most likely a finish defect. Instead of taking care of the issue, Samsung is refusing to replace the doors, stating that it was a cosmetic issue. As you can see by the picture, it is a serious issue on this $2600 piece of crap that Samsung refuses to repair. I own four Samsung TVs and other items, but I will never buy another Samsung product. Who else has this issue?
Where are the attorneys? We need a class action lawsuit. Samsung fridges have a huge number of engineering flaws and instead of fixing them like a good company should do, Samsung is making the consumer pay for a repairman to fix the engineering flaws. It is time to kick Samsung out of the USA. They are doing business third world style. Git your attorney and sue the ** out of them. Show them the wrath of the American consumer and why we dont tolerate cheap crap in this country!!!
This dishwasher works alright except dish rack are junk. They started rusting after about year and half and have gotten so bad can no longer use. Samsung will do nothing about this and they expect you to spend $400.00 for replacement racks on a $500.00d dishwasher. DISHWASHER HAS ONE YEAR WARRANTY THAT DOES NOT COVER RUST, SO STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG. THEY SELL JUNK
We purchased the door-in-door, Samsung, side by side refrigerator in November 2016, from Best Buy. We are extremely happy with the larger refrigerator with easy access to beverages. However, the ice maker and water dispenser are the worst. Not only is the ice maker very loud but it ices up and needs to be removed and cleaned out constantly. Also, there isnt any easy access to the ice from inside the door when you need large amounts of ice without taking the unit out. Even with these small problems, the overall reaction is that this was the perfect refrigerator for our family.
We purchased this refrigerator in November 2015. Just after 2 years old, we noticed rusting along the edge of the ice maker. Samsung will do nothing to correct the problem, which is becoming a bigger and bigger eyesore by the day. An online search revealed this is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators. I do not recommend purchasing a Samsung refrigerator.
My refrigerator (Samsung RF24FSEDBSR) has a unusual noise coming from the back. The only way to stop the noise is to unplug the unit for 24 hours and let it defrost (really a refrigerator without a defrost cycle). I have seen where ice builds up and the fan is actually hitting against the ice and thats what causes the noise. The 2nd issue is the ice maker, or rather the lack of ice making. The ice maker is always dropping water into the drip tray, and the tray stays full. When you dispense ice the ice is wet and usually a bunch of crumbles VS solid cubes. We called Samsung and went to Frys where we bought the unit and all they say is that its a common problem, then said check the gasket/seal on the door that lines up with the ice chute, and is the chute door closing all the way. Both worked as they should but we still have water dripping.
We have purchased a four door Samsung refrigerator which in less than a year of usage the refrigerator section no longer was cooling. Called Samsung Customer Service and after spending 45 min on the phone I was transferred to the Executive Customer Relations only to answer a myriad of questions that were already answered during the first call and supposedly documented in the service ticket. The Executive Customer Relations could not provide much assistance except for providing the names of two Samsung approved service centers; however, conveniently forgot to provide a service to be provided to the service center. Therefore, when I placed the call to the Service center I was informed that without that number they cannot assist.Called Samsung again, only to go through the same process described above and waste another good hour on the phone to obtain the service ticket number. Called the Service Center and 48 hours later, a technician showed up; however, due to the size and location of the refrigerator he could not assess what needed to be done. He placed a call to the Service Center to re-scheduled the repair and at the end he informed me that he is going to be on site on the following week on Wednesday at 8 AM along with his supervisor **.Wednesday came and at 8:30 AM I called ** to see what time hell be on site only to be informed that hell be in at 10AM. At 10:30 I called their center and was informed that they will not be in till 11AM. They showed up at 11:30AM. The unit was checked by an experienced technician, not Samsung, and later on he provided me with the technical bulletin from Samsung showing that this unit has two independent compressors and it is Not-serviceable; however, the Samsung service technician said that they can fix it. After they checked the refrigerator, both technicians agreed that the unit cannot be fixed.
Samsung has a lot to learn about icemakers. The upper one freezes and must be thawed once a month. Thats a hassle. It was replaced under warranty but the new one does the same thing. Also, most of the repair shops wont work on any Samsung because they say they cant get parts in a timely manner. I wont buy another.
Our Samsung electric range has been a good product so far, we have had it in use for about 6 months. The range cooktop heats quickly and evenly. It responds to control changes rapidly. It is very easy to clean if you follow Samsungs directions. We think the oven takes a little long to reach temp when starting it, but baked well once it does.
My microwave has almost caught fire on two separate occasions. The panel heated up and smoke came out of the vents. Another time it turned itself on and it Wouldnt shut off. Had to unplug it. Piece. Of. Crap.
I bought my Samsung refrigerator from Lowes and bought the extended warranty with it. Ive had four service calls for the same issue - water leaking below the left crisper drawer. Im told the issue is well known and there is no fix. The answer was to defrost the refrigerator from time to time. Defrosting a refrigerator in this day and age? I called Samsung, and they wouldnt offer a solution to the problem. They said they werent aware of this issue. Id have to pay a service call to them to have a technician sent out to the house. This is totally unacceptable! I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again.
Purchased from Sears. Numerous problems and service calls. Several parts replaced. Dripping and Freezing in the crispers. Massive freezing behind the freezer drawers. Paint flaking from handles. Door panel replaced (broken spring). Door handles replaced. Two week delay for parts. Would like to join class action, if any.
We have had this Samsung electric range for a year and a half (so outside of warranty, of course!) and when heating oven, there is a strong electrical burning smell coming from behind the unit. It doesnt happen if only using stove. Samsung have offered no solution except for ME to pay THEIR repair service $99 for house call, $50 for diagnostic and then pay hourly rate for labor and parts. They offered to pay for parts, but I dont want anything more to do with Samsung products. They are terrible. I wonder if it is even fixable.
I was so happy to be able to afford to finally be able to buy this refrigerator for my family (model RF323TEDBSR). Mine was manufactured Apr 2012, but we did not buy it until Feb 2013. I used to drool over the commercials of the big, happy family that was loading their shiny refrigerator with lots of groceries and pine for the day where I could actually afford that refrigerator for my family. We have 8 children, 6 who are still home full time, and this was touted as a big refrigerator for big families.Initially, I was very happy with my purchase. It definitely lives up to all the space. The first grocery trip that I was able to fit everything into our new fridge prompted me to put pictures on social media. I was so tickled with it. Unfortunately, the honeymoon was a short one and my relationship with this refrigerator quickly soured. I had issues with a code that kept alarming that was repaired under warranty. The lower ice maker quit working altogether, but it was also repaired. That is all well and good, but its harder than you think to find an appliance repairman who works on Samsung products at all, but especially the refrigerator. Its apparently even harder to actually get parts for the poor thing. As of today, my fridge is a total piece of junk that is a daily reminder of how I was ripped off for over $2500 (and I got a huge discount by being a smart shopper and combining discounts and a coupon). As of today, I am missing 4 of the door bins. All of the bigger ones on the right side where there should be lots of space for condiments, milk and more, they are broken and unusable. I have not been able to obtain any replacements for them at all. Even when narrowing them down on Samsungs website (do you know how many different door bins there are?!), I could not possibly spend the exorbitant prices they are asking... Keep in mind, its still under extended warranty, but the warranty does not cover such things. There is no handle on the freezer. The replacement one fell off, too. I usually have to open a fridge door to open the freezer. The bin inside the freezer has cracked and one has been pulled out because it was not staying in place anymore. The pantry door is gone. It was replaced once, but the second cracked in the same manner and it has not been replaced. The pantry drawer itself is also damaged and comes off the track much too easily. The upper ice maker is completely dead. It stopped making ice awhile ago, though the water still worked. The water used to be fun to try and see if it wanted to work that day. Some days youd push the dispenser down, the light would come on and nothing would happen for awhile. It eventually stopped dispensing water at all. So now no ice or water up top. The repairman fixed it once, but its now broken again. And yes, the filter has been replaced with a genuine Samsung filter. When it was fixed, the entire apparatus that holds the filter was replaced. But again, no ice up top and no water. There is a crack on the white plastic on one shelf portion over the crisper on one side and a larger chunk cracked out on the other, to the point the glass shelf edge is partially exposed. So much for humidity control.More recently, the fridge seems to be running warmer and my produce is dying off at an alarming rate. I am now looking at replacing a 2.5 year old fridge (which is still under an extended warranty!) that I feel totally duped into believing was actually meant for a family. I used to love this thing, now I hate it, and that makes me sad.
4 year old Samsung refrigerator that cost $3000 is junk. Already spent $800 fixing it once and now the ice maker requires a $850 repair that is not guaranteed to resolve the problem. Samsung refrigerators are complete design flaws from top to bottom. I am throwing this thing out and buying a Whirlpool side by side.
Purchased the refrigerator less than 7 months ago. Ice maker is no longer working and fridge temp keeps fluctuating causing food spoilage. Customer service was no help. They got my name wrong multiple times and even though I was explaining to them that my PHONE stopped making ice... Horrible.
After less than two years, the compressor fan on the refrigerator went out... at less than 2 years old! We took a chance in buying the Samsung and after this, I wont recommend them. Stick with the more notorious brand appliances - Kenmore, GE, etc. Ive never, ever had an issue with a refrigerator going out that wasnt at least 10 years old. Ridiculous! Were out $180 for parts and service plus a whole fridge full of food. Samsung appliances are crap! With all the complaints on here, youd think there would be a class-action started!
Bought our Samsung side by side in 2013 from Home Depot and took out the extended Warranty. Have have Asurion the Warranty company out here several times for the same issue. The diagnostics all run fine so there is nothing wrong with the Freezer so they would accept our claim for Lemon Law since nothing has been replaced. The ice comes out of the blower down the wall and freezes between the wall and the back. Called Home Depot. They will not do anything. I AM DONE!!
Model rf26vabbp - This refrige was bought 2/2009, we had the water problems for the past few years then we finally had a repair person fix the clogged frozen water line. He actually put a wire down the tube and hooked it up so it wouldnt freeze. So far, that works. Now, our ice maker broke. We had the warranty, so now we have to get it fixed. Tried to reset but nothing. Bad fridge, I wouldnt buy any more Samsung or LG. Most expensive to fix and hard to get parts, a lot of service people wont fix them.
I love the size and the French doors on top and freezer drawer. But HATE the ice buildup under the crisper drawers that needs to be chopped out every few months, despite the humidity controls...
Had it only 2 years and its already broken. It stopped cooling the refrigerator side. Stays at about 60 degrees. The error code stated the fan had an issue. Sure enough it was iced up. Called a tech to take a look. He said at first the issue was with the drain. Since the water wasnt draining then everything would ice up. He said he fixed that, and later it iced up again. Then the issue was with Freon leaking.
I have a RS265TDRS French door refrigerator now for 2.5 years. The cooling coils kept freezing up and it took 2 repairs costing $300 plus to fix the issue. Now the freezer is draining water into the lower part of the freezer and after a week water drains on the floor. Samsung will not warranty the defect and I will have to pay for the fix. And goodluck have a Samsung repair service center sending a representative out in a timely manner. After 3 days waiting for service, I called the service center (John Micheals) and was told yes they had a long backlog of service request. I called a local service company and had a repair service rep the next day.
