Samsung 5 burner gas stove cost approx. $700. Love the 5 burners on the stove. The middle burner is great for simmering or keeping something warm. With having 5th burner I can keep gravy warm while preparing the rest of the meal. Also good for boiling water for eggs. It pays to spend a little more on a good quality stove. You don't want to have to buy another one in two years.
Samsung microwave SMH9187ST - We experienced the error over the weekend (lots of fun having beeping coming from an unknown place in the house at 3 AM); unplugged and plugged back in in the morning, but it only worked for a couple hours before the SE error and beeping starting again. UGH... I am not brave enough to pull open the unit on my own, so I called Samsung and initial support told me they could do a service call at my expense where the unit is out of warranty. I stood my ground and politely reminded the service rep of how many errors are noted for this unit online, the commitment of Samsung to address the issue, and that numerous other owners have had this service provided for free - even for out of warranty units. After some further holding I was transferred to the Executive Service Center where the rep. agreed to cover the cost of the service call and repair provided it is in fact the touchpad that needs to be replaced. If the issue is something else (highly unlikely), I would own the cost. Seemed reasonable so I agreed. I am now pending a call from a local service vendor to schedule the work. The kill em with kindness approach worked well in getting them to work with me and cover the cost of the repair. Overall this has been a pretty reliable unit for the past 3 years. I just dont get why they dont do a full recall if this is going to happen with every unit eventually.
Got the refrigerator 2016. Used it for less than three years. It started to leak and the crisp drawer was frozen. I had to throw all my vegetables. Customer service was good but they could not help. I would never recommend this product at all.
Do not buy Samsung inverter refrigerators. Third class after sales service once you complete 1 year warranty. Buy it keeping in mind you are buying it for one year use for any problems after one year the service representative will disown it.
Purchased this microwave in 2010. Last night my SE error came on. Contacted Samsung today after reading all the reviews and was told there was no warranty on this model or recall and that Samsung was not responsible. I just had to replace my dishwasher that I have only had for 3 years that was a Samsung and also my Samsung refrigerator that is only 5 years old is also having problems. I have never experienced a company that does not stand by their products or their customers. I think everyone should just boycott this crappy company and their crappy products.
Call Samsung repair March 9. Their technician came out March 15th. Said it was a failed compressor and it was still under the 5-year warranty. I have been on the phone for 2 1/2 weeks. Today March 22, 2018 theyre laugh while putting you on multiple holds. Customer rep told me to fix it myself and then submit my bill to them and they may reimburse me. I called Sears appliance repair for an estimate with parts and labor. It would be between $590 to $700. We paid $1169.00 for our Samsung refrigerator. It should not break nor should we be out of pocket $700. Plus we lost all the food in fridge in freezer. Go to Samsung FB page. They treat consumers horrible. I have called multiple times, filed a complaint yesterday with BBB, Attorney General & CFPB. They the compressor is still under Manufacturers Factory Warranty. It has 3 of the 5 years left. There should be a Civil Suit filed against Samsung. Worst Refrigerator ever. Customer Representatives should all be fired. They are rude and lie to you. Ask for your ticket number that they have had for weeks. The automotive service knows my name when I call to get me right over to their rude customer service reps at the REPAIR Line.
My ice maker and water dispenser has not been working for 9 months. The repair technicians seem to not be able to repair and the refrigerator has just about been rebuilt with parts. Still isnt working. Repair technician came out today and ordered 6 more parts. Same ones that have been replaced. The warranty company denied replacement. They would rather pay all that money for parts for same issues. I am so frustrated to have a expensive refrigerator that doenst work and seems it cant be repaired.
In April, we purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher from City Furniture. This was a very special treat, as we had used free and 50.00 dishwasher all our married lives. We got a top of the line one, thinking this way, we would not have any repairs for year. How wrong we were. Within a week of having it, the dishwasher flashed a code, and quit. After calling Samsung for three weeks, City Furniture kindly replaced the unit. It ran fine..for a month. Then it quit. Multiple phone calls to Samsung, a month later... its fixed. Ran fine for 2 months. Since then, we have made many, many phone calls to Samsung. They have: Twice sent our repair request to the wrong servicemen. Escalated our call three times... No response... Who does not service this area. When they did finally get hold of the right serviceman he was beyond rude. But I guess if you are the only Samsung serviceman in the ares (he is), you can afford to piss off customers, because what else are they going to do? Then Samsung sent the wrong error code to the repairman. After a month, the part came in. Oh but wrong part, because he had the wrong code. Gave him right code. Still waiting. Months later. We have a $1000 dollar Samsung 8 month old dishwasher that has now been NOT working more often that it has worked. Another call to Samsung yesterday. Their response was well, we have to wait for the technician to file a report before we can do anything. You mean the technician who STILL HASNT COME??? Time for BBB. Do yourselves a favour. Dont buy Samsung.
The LOUD popping and BOOM noises! Samsung needs to be held responsible for selling and continuing to sell defective refrigerators for years it seems. I have model RF263BEAESR and the noises sometimes make me jump out of bed! I see after reading many reviews here, that so many people have this same problem. Service is coming out again to fix it, but the fix lasts a week, so what good is that? I bought it from Best Buy with all the rest of the appliances. Its a year of hell now and I am thinking about just contacting the credit card company and let them fight between themselves. I dont even want a new Samsung fridge in return. I want a comparable new one from a total different brand!!! THE WORST!!!
Samsung Refrigerator side by side door - I just have circuit board replaced and has many service calls. It is only four year old. IT is RSTD265 model. Please would not recommend Samsung refrigerator.
French door refrigerator is crap!!! Had my refrigerator less than two years, and its completed frozen. Back piece on fridge has cracked due to this. Ordered a new part only to realize when taking back piece off fridge: everything is frozen; lines m, etc. Ice maker constantly leaked for the last 8 months. No help through Samsung or HH Gregg. Will never purchase a Samsung appliance again.
Purchased a Samsung oven June 5, 2016. Within 18 months the finish on the inside started peeling off. If you pull out the oven racks the finish is off, the bottom of the oven the finish is off. We paid $ 1700.00 for this oven and of course Samsung will not do anything, they say its cosmetic. Regardless if it is cosmetic or not an oven should last longer than 18 months, unless it is not meant to be used for baking or cooking. And of course if the powder coating is peeling then the cooking temp, will vary which it does, have hotspots. Samsung does not care about their customers, they sell crappy products. Now Im afraid to do the self-cleaning. Who knows what will happen.
Electric Range was purchased at Lowes on 10/05/2012. It has always been properly maintained and kept clean. We are seniors and actually do not cook a lot. We noticed when baking items were not cooking properly. We checked to the temperature of the oven. It would heat up to the set temperature and then drop down about 150 degrees. It should say the set temperature but registered lower. We called a very reputable appliance repair company. He diagnosed the lower heating element was bad. Once he got into the area of the element he gasped... He said in 43 years he has never seen an element fuse to the metal sheet. He determined it was not repairable and could possibly be a fire hazard. We purchased a Samsung Washer (repaired 3x) a gas dryer (4x), Dish washer (5x) and now an electric range that is not repairable. Should an electric range last more than 6 1/2 years? Needless to say we went out last night and purchased a new range. It was not a Samsung.
I have purchased a refrigerator of Samsung because that time I think its good but I am wrong that time. There is no any product reliability and worst customer service in every parameter. Very bad experience. They didnt help for their customers. I already sent a mail to CEOs, technical dept. But there is no solution about my concern. Only 1 month ago warranty expired & they are not doing any kind of goodwill. Actually I learnt from this concern they dont want that customer again purchase their product in future.
We bought a very nice, at least thats what we thought anyway at the time, Samsung Model RF4289HARS French door refrigerator from Home Depot in December of 2011. The ice maker took forever to make ice and it had very little storage. We ran out of ice all of the time and there was only two of us using it. In February of 2014 the ice machine stopped working completely. We had a service man come out and replace the entire front computer portion of the refrigerator that the ice maker was a part of. The cost to replace it was $863.58. Yes, thats right. $863.58 cost to repair an ice maker that was 3 years and 2 months old. Well, guess what. Here it is December of 2017 and the same thing has occurred. No ice maker. Broken again after just 3 years and 9 months after replacing an $863.58 part. Samsung makes a good TV. Their refrigerators are extremely pricing and break down every three years. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. Buy a good old made in the USA refrigerator that will probably outlive you. Thanks for nothing Samsung.
My dishwasher has a lot of features with options that come in handy. A heavy scrub at high temperature is very good with greasy pans. A regular wash is also very good for just dishes, glasses and flatware. So far I have no complaints, it seems to do the job well.
I purchased a kitchen suite at ABT less than a year ago. Refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave. Every one of these appliances are garbage! The refrigerator door shelves cracked and fell to the floor in less than two weeks. The refrigerator makes intermittent LOUD noises like a grinding sound. Water pools at every bin and the worst of all is the layout is impossible to not knock everything over trying to retrieve a single item. The dishwasher stinks...LITERALLY! It always smells awful. It doesnt clean dishes well at all and leaves chunks of residue after several cycles of cleaning the same load. The repairman said Well, just leave the door open and it wont smell so bad! Really? The oven is constantly setting off our carbon monoxide detector and recently, I thought there was moisture built up on the oven door and when I tried to open it to wipe the glass front it exploded in a thousand fragments of glass everywhere! This company should be held accountable before someone dies...
I bought my a Samsung RS-261MDWP model # refrigerator about 3 years ago from Best Buy. It has been a nightmare. Within the first 6 months I had 5-7 service calls. Thank God I purchased the extended warranty. The ice maker went out, the display board stopped working, they had to replace the motherboard, and a couple other things. Finally, after about 3 months of nonsense and not getting all the repairs done in a timely fashion, I was so fed up that I just walked in to Best Buy and demanded they give me another refrigerator. Of course I got the story that it has nothing to do with them and I would have to call Samsung or their Geek Squad department at their toll free number. I demanded to speak with the store manager or someone in corporate. I told them I have had several different men in my house for the past 5-6 months because the 3rd party company they are using for repairs doesnt know what they are doing and keep sending different people which all say its something else every time. I finally got a higher up manager that agreed that this was ridiculous and gave me whole new refrigerator. It wasnt even 6 months before we had to have a service call on that one. I have even ignored some of the other problems just because I dont want to have to keep calling them because they put you through so much. Today I had no choice because it has begun to make so much noise, it gets louder than the television. I will never buy a Samsung again. It also has started to freeze up, meaning it locks us out from getting water or ice so we have to unplug it for about 1 min so it will reboot. I say its possessed.
We purchased Samsung appliances at HHGregg in Dec 2013 and installed them in Jan 2014. The stove was delivered damaged and had to be reordered. It came a little while later and I installed it. They all worked good until about 2 weeks ago and the oven quit working. My wife called Samsung only to be told the warranty had expired Nov 2013, and the stove was not registered to our phone number or address. That was not possible because we received it in Jan 2014. She took our information and a person from Samsung called back in a few days and said they were going to replace the stove. They just needed a copy of the receipt. The person would not give a full name or phone number. Just the first name. My wife emailed the receipt and we waited for 5-6 days and no one contacted us. My wife called Samsung again and this time she was talking to a woman who was very rude and said they did not get a receipt. She asked to send the info again to a different place and she waited on the line and said she got it and a repair man would be out Friday. When asked about replacing the range, she said something like why should we. When asked for a written copy of what our warranty is and when it is good to, she refused and refused to give an address to write a letter to, and refused to let my wife talk to a manager. We dont trust them now and think it could be possible we didnt get a new stove. What can we do to make this right?
I would rate this refrigerator higher but ice forms behind the cover in back of the inside of the fridge which then stops the fan and then ice builds up and its all downhill from there. I have lost a lot of food. Samsung, as far as I know, has not addressed this problem. The problem seems simple to fix as the heating element in the back where the water freezes is not adequate. About every 4-5 months I have to remove the inside cover and use a blow dryer to melt the ice.
We bought this Samsung 4-door French refrigerator ($2200) in July of 2010, so weve had it only about 36 months. Today we noticed everything in the freezer was thawed, but thought maybe we somehow left the freezer drawer ajar. By 4 hours later there was water everywhere and the ice maker leaked into the fridge section. Now weve emptied it completely, trying to salvage some of the frozen meat but lost all other frozen stuff which had gone to melt stage. We now realize it hasnt been coming on at all, so something obviously happened. Hubby pulled it out and didnt notice anything, but after reading all these posts, I think were facing the same thing - which is that new appliances are unreliable poor Quality. My parents had their fridges for 37 years. No exaggerating. What is wrong with this picture?
Purchased dishwasher Jan 2019. Samsung not installed till March 2019. Used maybe once a week. 2 people in household and now will not shut down. So maybe used 100 times. Circuit breaker has to be turned off till repairman gets here in 5 days so no power to certain places in house. Paid 500+ for dishwasher. Very disappointed in product and the situation I have been put in because of this. Never again purchase their products.
Apparently either Consumer Affairs OR Samsung does NOT want reviews of clothes washers as that is no longer a product which can be reviewed. Ours is 3 years old, sat in our basement for nearly a year from the time it was new until we finished our house. Only two people in the house, used once every two weeks. Lots of issues with not filling, not pumping water, not spinning. Samsung says Too bad. You should have paid even more than the $520 so we would fix that piece of crap....sucker!
My review is the ** customer service I have received from Samsung. I purchase a refrigerator from Lowes and had it only about three months when the ice maker messed up. I filed a claim with Samsung and they were supposed to send the part to fix it. It has now been four months and I have gotten no part. And when I call, I get the run-around. I have emailed and get the run-around also. I regret buying it because its poor customer service and poor business. I will make complaints to as many places as possible. I had even bought the 5-year extended warranty, but I cant even get it taken care of under the first year so I dont know how thats all going to work. I will not buy another Samsung product. I just wish I would have known all this before I bought the fridge, washer and dryer from them.
I remodeled my entire kitchen and wanted the best appliances. Samsung came highly recommended at the time. I purchased the stainless steel refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave. I purchased an additional warranty on everything except the microwave because I have had cheap microwaves in the past that last more than 15 years. Who would have known, 16 months later, the microwave would be the first to give me problems. I started receiving this error code SE and the manual states to unplug it and plug it back in. Well, I tried that several times and it did not resolve the issue. Finally, I called Samsung and was told that a service repair person would need to come out. Never once told I would have to pay for someone to come out and check it. When I received my call back, I was told there is a $90+ charge just for someone to come out and if parts are needed, I would have to pay for the parts and repair. I am so frustrated right now for a microwave, not just any microwave but a Samsung microwave to break down after just 16 months. Well, when I asked approximately how much would it cost to repair the microwave, I was told it depends on if they had to order a part and if so, what part. I am sure that this is not the first time anyone received this error code and surely someone from Samsung (the maker) can tell me what the problem is and approximate cost, right? I feel it is very unfair to pay and have someone come out to tell you that it will cost hundreds to repair, potentially paying more than I paid for the microwave. All I want to know is for other repairs related to this error code, what is the approximate cost and I will never refer anyone to purchase a Samsung appliance.
Our Samsung Nightmare!! Saturday November 23, 2019 Michelle of Forest Grove, OR (You are not alone). My family and I also experienced the same oven catching on fire. We did have to call the fire department. We have spent at least $300.00 eating out and another $300.00 trying to get the smoke out of our home. We adopted a sibling group of (4). December 2016 our 10 year old oven went out. Having a new family we decided to purchase an entire new set of Samsung stainless steel kitchen products. The refrigerator has been a nightmare ice maker leaks never makes ice, (we consistently have a towel in the water tray) the dishwasher will often stop draining we re-run, the Microwave door sticks, however now that the oven caught fire the bottom of the microwave is burned. Lastly we are thankful we were home because our kiddos would not have been able to control fire, while the fire department was in transit. I will never invest in another Samsung Product. Samsung Customer Service line is sad. We spent Thanksgiving getting food from my neighbors and friends. When guest walk-in our home, they say your appliances are beautiful. What looks Good is not always Good. /Users/princess/Desktop/IMG_1085.jpg. /Users/princess/Desktop/IMG_1083.jpg.
Oh, If I could only give this refrigerator 0 stars. As with everyone else--ice maker is totally useless (My husband LAUGHS when I defrost it yet again and tells me to stop wasting my time!) BUT now need to use a blowdryer to warm up the vents in the back of the refrigerator so it doesnt sound like a jet engine!! I spend more time caring for my refrigerator than it takes me to clean my entire house! Repairman tells me to not bother him as he cant help. The sad irony...our old refrigerator was great except the ice maker didnt work!! Kitchenaid, why did I ever leave you!?!?
After a year and half, the dishwasher pump needed to be replaced. When I called Samsung to have it repaired, they said its not under warranty. Do not buy a Samsung dishwasher. The worst customer service and dishwasher.
I paid for the top of the line Samsung refrigerator mostly cause I like the style of it and I tend to pay more for products based on what type of insurance the product is well built. I spent $5,000 for my Samsung refrigerator. May it be a cultural difference I really dont care. Were in America and we have high standards with our products. Our refrigerator ice maker gave us problems almost day one. After 3 attempts to repair the ice maker I contacted Samsung and over a course of several months it was unbelievable to have to call the number that only answers the phone for 2 hours a day and if youre not first in line you will not have an answer to your ring. If you try to call back it goes to busy. Based on my persistence and anger I made sure I was first in line. Then they make me jump through hoops knowing they sent repair guys who have designated my refrigerator ice maker unrepairable. So getting the information they wanted not that I would have to actually call back. They had an email address I could send the information but would not reply to my email which forced me to have to call back to this line that is only open for a couple hours per day! All I got was, Sorry sir thats just our policy!Again through my persistence I did get the check minus the shipping minus the time it took for all 3 repairs for me to take off of work minus the continued frustration and time aggravation to contact them over and over! On top of this it even gets worse. They wanted a picture of the power cord cut. This is to assure them I wont throw it in the garage and use it there! I am not writing for failed ice maker. I am writing for the arrogance of a company to have policies set against the consumer and America needs to know it!
We purchased a Samsung RF28HFEDTSR French Door Refrigerator in 7/27/14 from Lowes. The ice maker never dispensed ice properly - slow and partially crushed on cube setting. The bottom Ice maker stopped working after 2 years. The top ice maker stopped working after 3 1/2 years now. It was freezing up - following Youtube advice we have been defrosting the back with a blow dryer for 2 months now. The fan is now making a very loud noise. We will have to call a repairman now. We will not buy anything Samsung again. This has been a disappointment since day one and we have called Samsung year ago to complain but since the warranty has expired they say call a repairman. We have had refrigerators in the past and most last at least 15 yrs. These are obviously defective refrigerators from reading complaints online, all mirroring our experience exactly.
We ordered a new Samsung dishwasher from AJ Madison. We ordered it, received it on 11/28/12. My husband installed it that night. The next evening, I loaded it, ran it and opened it. Soap was never released. I ran it again, and it was the same thing. The little door never popped open to release soap. I called the next morning. The girl from Samsung didnt really know why but theres a sensor & if its blocked, maybe it would not be released (she couldnt tell me where sensor was located). Now, its Sunday, 12/2/12. I ran it again, making sure there was nothing too tall or blocking - same thing. I called & a service call must be set up. This lady said the other person lied - there is no sensor, only for water level. She gave me the name of the service company & number. They would call the next day. The guy left his name & number. I tried several times to call him & the service company (the phone rings continuously & I cant leave voice mail). I called Samsung again - a lengthy call. It turns out its not that company. Its a different one. Dont you think I should be told this? They have my number, & I was told I should call them to set it up. We set up for Saturday. AJ Madison called & said they dont have a repair company that works on Saturdays & I had one for Monday. No one told me about that. Monday was not good for me. We called Samsung up . Well, we had to argue, of course, but some nice guy came on Saturday, 12/8/12, and said, The part is broken; it needs to be ordered & replaced (he doesnt have it in truck). When the part comes in, someone will come back & replace it. I ordered a new dishwasher - not a floor model, clearance center, or scratch & dent. Many, many, many phone calls to both Samsung (who is giving us the runaround) and AJ Madison (who is giving us the runaround) have left us with a broken new Samsung dishwasher which has only been used 3x and is broken from the start. I ordered this & think I should have some right to getting one that works the first time correctly (not broken). Im still washing by hand. Furthermore, we have offered AJ Madison to take it back & we are willing to spend more money w/ them & get something else (my husband is even willing to bring it to them). They will not do that if it can be repaired again. I ordered a new dishwasher - not a floor model or scratch & dent. We are extremely dissatisfied w/ both companies. I should have some right to get a properly working appliance for my money. We have been greatly affected by Hurricane Sandy with 4 & 1/2 ft water in our home. Now we have to argue & call daily for something that was defective. Give us a break.
As the previous 150 purchasers of the OTC Samsung SMH9187SW Microwave, I purchased mine 12/2011, and it has stopped working 2/2013. Since it is out of warranty, I didnt even bother to contact Samsung because Ive had mine for 26 months and knew that if I wanted a Samsung certified repair person, it would cost more than the original price. I live in the San Francisco Bay area so I found a repairman with 135 5 STAR reviews. I told him my problem and he said he stopped working on microwaves because it was cheaper for customers to replace them. He also said he did not know of anyone that he could honestly recommend. So I found this site and followed the advice of the few people that were able to get theirs up and running. Unfortunately, none of the suggestions helped; I tried unplugging the unit, pushing clear and start simultaneously and finally unplugging and resetting the blue and white plugs on the control panel.I had thought of buying a different microwave except for the fact there is not one single microwave under $1,000 with a customer rating above 2 stars. Even the Best Buy rated microwaves in Consumer Reports, Epinions, Amazon, etc. didnt receive positive reviews from the actual consumers. So now I am going to order the control panel (not from Samsung directly) and install it myself. I dont see any other option since I dont want the expense of another microwave plus installation and then worry that another problem will occur no matter what brand I buy. My 1st OTC microwave lasted 20 years, the 2nd for 10 years and now 2 years! I most definitely would like to be involved in a class action suit. One interesting side note: Consumer Reports still list Samsung in the top 4. From now on, Im going to the actual user reviews listed at the bottom of the rating page!
We purchased our Samsung RF 4287HARS in 2011 and began using it in 2012. The ice dispenser has stopped working because of a broken plastic switch inside the dispenser module. The ice maker is producing ice but it cannot be dispensed from the dispenser. Based on a little investigating we have found this is not an uncommon problem. We contacted Samsung on several occasions to correct this apparent product defect. Trying to get someone on the telephone has been challenging and extremely time consuming. At this point, we have not received a favorable response. It appears that the product (see attached picture) is defective and poorly designed but Samsung is not responding to our requests for assistance. We remain hopeful that Samsung will agree to correct this apparent design flaw and show us that they are willing to stand behind their highly taunted refrigerator.
We have purchased a four door Samsung refrigerator which in less than a year of usage the refrigerator section no longer was cooling. Called Samsung Customer Service and after spending 45 min on the phone I was transferred to the Executive Customer Relations only to answer a myriad of questions that were already answered during the first call and supposedly documented in the service ticket. The Executive Customer Relations could not provide much assistance except for providing the names of two Samsung approved service centers; however, conveniently forgot to provide a service to be provided to the service center. Therefore, when I placed the call to the Service center I was informed that without that number they cannot assist.Called Samsung again, only to go through the same process described above and waste another good hour on the phone to obtain the service ticket number. Called the Service Center and 48 hours later, a technician showed up; however, due to the size and location of the refrigerator he could not assess what needed to be done. He placed a call to the Service Center to re-scheduled the repair and at the end he informed me that he is going to be on site on the following week on Wednesday at 8 AM along with his supervisor **.Wednesday came and at 8:30 AM I called ** to see what time hell be on site only to be informed that hell be in at 10AM. At 10:30 I called their center and was informed that they will not be in till 11AM. They showed up at 11:30AM. The unit was checked by an experienced technician, not Samsung, and later on he provided me with the technical bulletin from Samsung showing that this unit has two independent compressors and it is Not-serviceable; however, the Samsung service technician said that they can fix it. After they checked the refrigerator, both technicians agreed that the unit cannot be fixed.
We bought our entire appliance set through Trail appliances. Nothing wrong with the excellent service we received at time of sale. Installed the units in our new kitchen. At 11 months the dishwasher dumped large amounts of water on the floor during wash cycle. Finally got a technician to come and look at it. Samsungs support for him over the phone was pathetic. Between him and I we finally figured out the problem lies in a poorly designed tub vapor venting system. I have to regularly remove this silly valve and clean it. Just poor design. Now that the unit is 4 years old the drying fan motor vibrates. I removed it from the machine and tested it on the bench. It is not noisy outside of the machine but whines loudly when reinstalled. Fortunately I am a mechanic by trade and disassembling this machine is not a challenge for me. I sympathize with the consumer who has to wait long periods to get an overpriced repairman to come to the house. Further my wife has complained from day one about the poor cleaning ability of this machine. We will replace it eventually. It will NOT be Samsung.
We purchased new appliances from Lowes 2 years ago, Dishwasher, Fridge, Range and Micro. We have not had any problems from the range or micro, but had issues with fridge (fan in the freezer). Repair went smooth with Lowes involved. Happy with that. Now we are experiencing the smell that so many have commented about. That being said: What is the solution? So many complaints, really concerned about the integrity of this company. Maybe if Lowes or Best Buy, or both, discontinue the retail of their product, they might consider improving their customer service. Samsung needs to hire someone that can get your customer service back on track. There are other product names that would love to see sales increases once these go out.
Bought this fridge a little over a year ago. Paid about $2500. Loved the flexzone and 4 doors after have an LG bottom pull drawer type prior that kept coming off track. Unfortunately after about 8 months the ice-maker has done nothing but give us complete fits. Husband has used School of YouTube to repair it at least once every 8 weeks for the past year. Constantly freezes up or just will not make ice at all. Also, drips continually out of the ice chute, leaving scale marks on the door. Sadly, I purchased all matching Samsung black stainless steel appliances so I would want to replace them all. My $1000 Samsung front load washing machine is also a POS, returned once already for defects and the dryer takes 3 cycles to dry fully. Will not be buying Samsung products in the future, nor recommending to others.
Good day, I am writing to you today in regards to an ongoing issue that I have been having with my fridge and the lack of customer service I have been receiving from Samsung. My transaction # **. My fridge was bought in 2012 and I have been having major issues with it since 2014. In 2014 I had to replace the main board because it completely shut down. A few months later, it started making loud noises and leaking from the bottom. As I had just spent $1,100 on the fridge in 2012 and another $425 in 2014 including parts and labor, I was hoping these issues were manageable. Recently it has not been cooling properly and I have lost a lot of food. I have been in contact with numerous departments within Samsung in the past couple of weeks and I did manage to get someone have a Samsung-approved company come out and diagnose it at no charge. When the company came out, they determined that the fridge needed 6 parts and the total including labor would be $628. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this issue as Samsung is supposed to be of high quality and should stand behind their products. I understand that my product is out of the 1 year warranty but lets be honest, Im looking at having to spend a total of over $1000 in less than 5 years on what is supposed to be a quality product. I am seeking help from Samsung in the cost of fixing my fridge and they all say that there is absolutely nothing they can do for me. I am a loyal Samsung customer with my fridge, washer, TV, Blu-ray and cell phones being Samsung. I am in desperate need of help as soon as possible as I have 2 disabled people that have meds that have to be refrigerated and a 2-year old.
My experience with our Samsung dishwasher is similar to the other experiences listed here. Dishwasher began having error codes after 14-15 months of normal use. After dealing with it working and not working for a few months we set up a service call through Samsung. A call to Samsung customer service led to nothing and they do not stand behind this product at all. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this product. You will be disappointed and left with a non-working DW in 13-15 months. No wonder the warranty is only 1 year. Samsung has a great scam going on here, but it will eventually lead to loss of customers in all areas of their business.
Dont buy Samsung dishwashers! I bought DMR78AHS stainless steel dishwasher and it is absolutely horrible. Weve had nothing but problems. The brackets constantly break off, clogging the unit. I have to constantly rewash the dishes because they dont come clean. I have to towel dry the dishes because the machine doesnt dry like it should. I have had the water pump replaced. I have had numerous service calls to my house and thank God I had extended warranty. I didnt have to pay for it, but Im still pissed with the warranty because they took me through hell and back before they finally ruled it unfixable - and agreed to give my money back. Never again will I buy their appliances. When I talked to the rep at Lowes Home Improvement, she stated that they get a lot of complaints about the Samsung dishwashers! Buy at your own risk!
Purchased a Samsung dishwasher 3 years ago and have made 4 service calls regarding the same error code (9E). The first service call was covered during the warranty period. The second time (only a month after warranty expired) my persistent complaints were transferred to the Office of the President. The person I spoke to was rude, refused to let me speak to his supervisor and suddenly pretended that we had a bad connection and he could no longer hear me and hung up. Very unprofessional. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung product again. Samsung Buyers Beware!!!
What a waste of nearly $900. Samsung has absolutely no customer service when theres a problem(s). Was no help on phone, had an online chat (India, of course) who was flipping through his instructions for code PE and I was told it was a half-load error, whatever and whoever does a half load? I can ditto everything in here, one code after another. Repairman (local) here 2x, replaced main board that didnt work. Did the cleanout cycle a few weeks back and was running well but now code 9E. Looked it upon net, tried the soap thing, NG. Tried banging on left side and running this time, but for how long? If I have to pull it out like another suggestion it WILL NOT GO BACK IN. BTW, the Samsung authorized dealer is 3 hours away! They sent one about 6 months after I got it for rust appearing on the outside of the door and he said rust was not under warranty. This is a stainless steel, inside and out, and theres rust? I agree, NO MORE SAMSUNG! I hope the microwave holds out longer.
We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 02/2017. We are now waiting the third time to have it fixed. The major board that controls everything freezes up. We lose all the food. This time it will take 10 days to get the replacement part. We did get the protection plan but the company that fixes the refrigerator never has the parts. It has to break four times with exactly the same problem before they will replace. It is only 2 years old and cost $2500.00. NEVER will we ever buy a Samsung again. Why havent these been taken off the market?
I bought a Samsung electric stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher mostly because Samsung had received top ratings from JD Power for six years in a row. Within the first six months, the plastic around the edges of the glass shelves began cracking in several places, most of which were in places which could not have been bumped or struck. When I called customer service, their first response was to blame me. After about 15 minutes of discussion they did send me out one new shelf. Within a year, the plastic on another shelf began cracking. Withing three years, one of the front burners on the electric stove stayed on high when set at any level. When I called customer service, I was told that they would send someone out to inspect it, and replace it if necessary with a cost of $200/hr (with a minimum of 1 hour) since I did not buy the extended warranty, but there would be no charge for the part since it was under a 5-year warranty. I offered to send them the defective part if they would send me a replacement. They refused, saying that I would have to pay the $200/hour service charge to get the part under warranty. I had to pay $47 to get the part, despite the warranty, so I could replace it myself. Within six months, the other front burner had the same defect. I can only guess that Samsung was able to buy the high rating from JD Power because of the problems and extremely poor customer service I experienced with the Samsung products I have purchased.
Purchased 4 appliance chef selection for more than $9,000.00. Microwave turn table motor packed up within 2 1/2 months. Called Samsung to replace the microwave as the product has to be defective to break within three months. They only wanted to repair but not replace. Reached out to CEO office no response.
Unfortunately made a poor decision in purchasing this refrigerator. Samsung is very good at making excuses for the problems occurring. Too bad so sad. Noise in the back, rattles. Its your water pressure causing that! Ice maker shoots ice all over. Love having to wipe the floor every time I get ice. The settings are for cubed and crushed but good luck getting cubes as the crushed continue to fly. Expensive lesson learned.
I really like the freezer on the bottom, keeps food perfect and I like adjusting the humidity. I bought my appliances in a package deal so Im assuming the price was good.
We’ve had our Samsung fridge 3 years. Nothing but problems- ice maker broke several times. The ONLY reason we bought it because consumer report magazine gave it a high rating. We have been to subscribers for at least 10 years or more.
How to fix Samsung microwave SE Code - We had the exact same problem ... SE code out of the blue, keypad wouldnt work at all. I have the solution and all you need is a Phillips head screwdriver, no skill required for the rest. I searched internet, found a YouTube video on how to take the panel apart. Unplug your microwave, follow directions to take panel off - a 5 minute job. Unplug and replug blue and white connectors...easy. Take some rubbing alcohol and wipe off that green ribbon (I read this a lot on other sites). While you have everything apart, wipe down the inside, there was some gook behind the panel so I figured, what the heck. I put it back together, plug it in. We havent had any problems since. Save your money, this is a very easy fix. I feel like the quality of every thing these days is cheap, made overseas **, so having this happen in under 24 months did not surprise me. Im just glad I didnt get ripped off further by Samsung telling me a professional repairman was needed. It was a 20 minute fix from start to finish, maybe less.
Bought a Samsung french door fridge a year and a half ago. It had a musty smell in it from the start that we were consistently trying to eliminate. The ice maker is terrible, always jamming, leaking and poor output of ice. After about a year of owning the fridge, part of the cooling system in the fridge section froze over and now the fridge portion does not cool enough to store food in it. The warranty has expired so we are on the hook for repairs for this product which cost $2,000. I have read many reviews of others having this same issue with a Samsung fridge. I would definitely not recommend a Samsung refrigerator. I wish I had done more research on reviews before purchasing.
We were warned by 2 people not to buy Samsung refrigerators because the ice makers were awful. We didnt listen because we needed a certain size and Samsung made them if you ordered it... Loved the refrigerator for the first few months. Then the ice maker started freezing up and we would have to use a hairdryer to defrost it. Then we noticed when you put ice in a cup it would drop water in it. So much you would have to dump it before putting anything in it. Within 2 years the ice maker was dripping water in one of the doors and would freeze in the bottom of the ice tray causing it to freeze up. We finally just pulled the tray out and turned the water off to it. Now we buy a bag of ice and keep it in the bottom freezer. Do not buy this refrigerator unless you want to deal with these kind of problems.
RSG257AARS/XAA - I purchased my Samsung side by side refrigerator in 2012 and the ice maker has given me trouble numerous times over that period. This last time, it would only make a tray of ice if I hit the reset button. I was told I would need to call a repairman. The service call was $79 and the part will cost $207 and will not be available for a week. I will not buy another Samsung product.
We bought all 4 kitchen appliances in black stainless steel. The ice maker plugs and is annoying but the real damage is the microwave. It starts without any intro action. Fan comes on full blast. Research says unplug and then plug it in. It only helps for a few hours. After researching I have found hundreds of reviews with the same problem. The door has been replaced in some reviews but it doesn’t solve the problem. Calling Samsung so far hasn’t helped.Since our warranty is up it is up to me to find a tech in our real area. So far no luck and so how do I get parts? And what good is a new door if it is going to do it again? Samsung knows of the problem when you go to their site for repair it directs you to immediately unplug because it is a fire hazard and go to customer support. The circle begins again - no tech, no part, and I have a unplugged unusable microwave. Samsung should be doing a recall they did one because people were being shocked. Isn’t a fire hazard a reason for a recall?
Gas range and oven less than 6 months. Looks like someone previously smashed base of oven with a hammer. The paint chipped and cracked off within months showing the horrible spider crack below. It is deep too. About 4 inch diameter. I want this base replaced free of charge. Angry.
Approximately 14 months after purchasing a Samsung french door refrigerator (Model #RF28HMEDBSR) the ice maker froze up and stopped working. It had to be manually defrosted (frost and ice removed). This issue occurred every 2 to 3 weeks. We trusted Samsung and did not purchase an extended warranty. A call to the service center revealed that any cost for service provided would have to be paid for by myself. A research of this equipment failure revealed hundreds, if not thousands, of similar complaints and unresolved issues. I continued to manually defrost the ice maker but the issue remained. We are now making ice cubes in ice cube trays.
Less than 3 years old Samsung French Door Refrigerator. Icing up and water on the bottom all of the time. They apparently used butane instead of freon gas in these for what reason I dont know. Ive read many of the same complaints. I have bubbling on the top of my plastic on the refrigerator inside as well. It has to have come from high heat. It truly sad that Samsung and every other refrigerator company is making their refrigerators substandard for what we are paying for them now! They used to last for 50 years.
I bought a Samsung Refrigerator Model RF217ACPN in July 2012 at Best Buy from the Boston/Fenway location (now closed). Two years into owning it the temperature went up to 70 degrees and there was water in the bottom drawers. I did some googling about it and learned that the radiator in the back over cools, then builds up with ice preventing it from cooling, then when it finally melts the water ends up in the bottom fruit and vegetable trays. After two weeks of calling them begging them to see it is a faulty and defective product they gave me a one time service for free and guaranteed it would be solved. 4 months later, same exact problem... water in the drawers and 70 degrees. After calling this time explaining it was never really fixed in the first place, Samsung gave me two options, 1) repair it using their service center (a $400-600 charge) or 2) repair it using their extended protection plan (a $388 fee with service for a year). I dont want it fixed. I want my money back or have it replaced with a fridge that works. What a terrible product... I had my previous fridge for 30 years! This one cant even make it past the three-year mark. Samsung is fraudulent and taking advantage of people. I will never buy anything from them after this experience. What a terrible company, and terrible customer service.
We bought the refrig cause Samsung was great on Electronics. We just wanted a refrig that would make ice cubes. We are seniors raising grandkids... but doesnt work. We have to make ice cubes in a tray.
Add me to the 2,180 list of dissatisfied customers who own a French door Samsung refrigerator with twin cooling. We have the same problem with ice building up in the refrigerator section causing water and ice to form under the crisper trays. The compressor was replaced after 1 year but the problem keeps occurring. I question the Executive team from Samsung how they could still be selling a product for the last 5 or more years that has the same issue. If you read through the reviews and see the years it has been the same problem. Their response was, We will send a technical out to fix it and you will pay the bill. The problem should be fixed and there should be a recall. Why would anyone invest more money in a piece of JUNK? Next step is a report to the Better Business and to make dealers aware that they are selling faulty products.
Add my 2-year old Samsung french door model #RF23HCEDBWW to the countless refrigerators whose ice makers freeze up and become inoperable. Customer service at Samsung was useless as my refrigerator is out of warranty AND their customer service rep had no knowledge of any freezer ice-up issues. I referred her to Samsungs own website and its 17 pages of complaints. ONLY recourse scheduling repair service and having to pay out of pocket for a chronic, well documented, flaw in this product. Unacceptable!
After months of trying to get help for my oven, all I got is a bunch of runaround, transfer call to someone else game, pretend to not have received pictures. The final straw was when I got the last email saying that physical damage is not covered but technical is covered. I about lost my mind!! This person claimed that he had not received my photos and I agreed since they were returned to me due to the large size. So before I sent him the evidence this final time, he had already magically seen the pictures! It went from I dont have your pictures, I cannot enter coworkers email account to retrieve them along with the purchase order for proof. Within a year both my Samsung oven and refrigerator were becoming useless with regular use, not abuse. I bought these brand new off the factory floor so I expected it to last me many many years! All in all, they were bought to be used yet I am being screwed with because the quality does not match its price. If anyone can help me in any way to make Samsung listen I would be very happy!
We have had nothing but problems with ALL of our Samsung kitchen appliances. The dishwasher has been especially problematic. It has had three circuit boards in less than five years. Now its broken AGAIN. When I called the service center the person said it was still under warranty so he could set up an appointment for me so someone could come out and run a diagnostic and order what he deemed necessary. He then tried to sell me an extended warranty to cover future repairs including labor. When I asked him how much it was he stated he didnt know and that he has nothing to do with prices. Really??? Who sells products to consumers without being able to tell them the price? Then I asked him how much the service call would be. Of course he didnt know that either. So he then forwarded me to service to set up an appointment. They were closed. Every single one of these kitchen appliances has been a nightmare. The LED lights on the range are now not working. The ice maker on the very expensive refrigerator works on an occasional basis. The microwave has also had two more circuit boards. One of the new was actually non-functional upon arrival. I cant believe there hasnt been a lawsuit about these issues, particularly the dishwasher.
The Samsung microwave that I own is great, the preset setting are easy to use and locate. The ceramic walls allow for crisping and I have yet to get a soggy reheated pizza. Only thing I wish is that it would be a tiny bit smaller, but then I would have lost power. Overall, very happy with my microwave.
I purchased a Samsung 2 door fridge with lower freezer drawer and upper ice and water dispenser. It was delivered and installed in May 2016. Right away the ice cubes where either very small and dry or regular size and wet. The cubes regularly melted and froze into a block of ice, where we had trouble removing the ice tray. Once opened we found that the whole ice compartment was frozen including the ice making machine. We had to regularly turn it off and defrost it. Sometimes the ice would melt and drip from the ice/water dispenser. In the summer 2016 we noticed that our food was spoiling. Soon after the fridge was making a loud noise. After some investigation we found out that the fan area of the fridge was filling with ice which froze the fan in a block of ice, which caused the fridge to warm without any indication on the fridge thermostat. Every few months we have to take everything out, thaw out the fridge for 2 days and then restart the fridge. Weve had two repairs done by a certified appliance repair company. The first time we were told that the problem was a well known flaw in manufacturing. Samsung has recommended a kit to fix the problem, but the repair company said that it doesnt work. We paid them to put the kit in, which was some tin foil and cardboard to redirect the air flow and replacement tubs to help with the backflow of water (which both cause the water to back up and freeze into the fan area). One month later the fan was frozen again and our food was spoiling again. We paid for the repair company to return. They checked everything and told us that there was no way to make the fridge run the way it should. They told us that its a well known manufacturing flaw that samsung will not fix and will not recall. We paid over $2000 for this fridge and Samsung has told us that they will not refund or replace it even though it hasnt worked right from the start.
After 3 years of very light use, around June 2013, my Samsung microwave stopped suddenly giving a different beep. All buttons of the keypad were inoperable. Nothing of this mentioned in the user manual. I called service engineer & he too had no idea about the error code. He asked us to replace the keypad unit but did not return after that. I just chanced to look for the solution of the problem in net & to my disbelief exactly the same problem is faced by so many all around the world and the Samsung guys have found a way to earn more bucks on pretext of repairing their own manufacturing defect. Shame on them.
Bought this fridge in Feb 2015, I think it was just under a year and noticed a noise in the fridge like a grinding rattling, at the same time the ice machine stopped giving ice. A month later I started noticing the door fridge temp looked normal but the inside was much warmer and we kept blaming our grocery store for the spoiled milk we were going through. I then noticed the rear wall had ice building up through the holes, I decided to unplug it to defrost overnight and load everything into coolers. The noise went away and when I finally got the icebox to pull out I found the interior to be iced right solid. I chipped away the ice and again left it to defrost completely. This lasted for about 3 months and it all started again. I started doing research and to my shock realized these fridges were lemons and the company didnt stand behind their product and in fact in the U.S. there was a Class Action Suit. Last week I finally called Samsung Electronics Canada and told them of the issues and of the Service Bulletin ASC20170602002 for the icebox. They told me I was out of warranty and would cover only the parts, I flat out refused and insisted labor be included. I do feel confident even if this repair was covered by them that the repair would only come back as these fridges look nice on the outside but are of poor design. I have made a complaint to BBB as well as I will be pursuing all other avenues to make these issues public, I cant believe this company hasnt been exposed yet with how they treat their customers.
We purchased an expensive Samsung refrigerator a few years ago. The ice maker had a mind of its own... sometimes it worked, most of the time it did not. Then the temps in freezer and fridge started fluctuating between -2F to 61F. I contacted Samsung and they advised there isnt any service in rural southern Mississippi where we live. I spoke with two different appliance repair independents and neither wanted to work on a Samsung. Basically the problem is too many sensors throughout the fridge. They were willing to work on it but would not guarantee the work. One in fact told me to buy a new fridge other than Samsung. The other guy told me Samsungs were basically a computer with a freezer and fridge attached. There are codes to reset which are not available to the buyer.
Samsung fridge SR320MLS purchased 3 years ago at Noel Leeming Manukau, NZ. But after a year and a half I found out its left and right both inner shell hook for vege bin is broken at small coin size and Samsung has replaced it to new one, it was smooth and good. But a year and a half now from replacement, exactly same place of left and right inner shell is broken at small coin size but this time Samsung service NZ, they wants to stick some patch on both side of broken inner shell. Imagine about it Ive paid $1,134 for good look stainless fridge for good fresh stuff for my kitchen but do I have to use broken shell fridge with ugly patch because of Ive choose weak and wrong product, that seems like a manufacturing fault? Are you happy at all? Of course not! Therefore I asked them for replace it to another right stronger model with extra payment but they didnt allow it for 2, 3 times so Ive required for talk with NZ general service manager for and she called me for 2 times but unfortunately my battery was flat and I was at outside so again Ive let them know good time to contact with me but neither G.S didnt contact me nor Im able to speak with her through call center. It was 3 months ago until now they did resolve my claim and G.S never contact to me. How many times do I have to contact to service center??? Because of they are wrong product totally it was more than 5 times. Now Im very sick for Samsungs after service. Please tell me something, what shall I do?
I purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator 2/09. The compressor went out 11/2/09. There is a five year warranty on the compressor [sealed system]. I called Best Buy because I bought it there. BB sends a tech out 11/21 who tested everything and determined it was the compressor but Samsung must authorize that repair. I call the Samsung rep who tells me that even though a Samsung certified BB geek squad tech had determined it was a compressor, Samsung wanted to send another tech out at my expense to do the same thing. After a number of calls regarding the stupidity of a double diagnosis, Samsung told me I did not have to pay for the 2nd tech. Tech shows up and demands 105 trip charge before looking at fridge. I refuse, he leaves. I call Samsung back a number of times and ultimately the rep agrees that if I can supply him a copy of the Geek Squad work order Samsung will replace compressor at no charge to me. I call BB, get copy of work order and email to Samsung. After several days I follow up with Samsung who is supposed to call me. I am told work order not clear enough [tech in-artfully put thinks its the compressor and it is under review.] After several more calls, Samsung rep arranges conference call with Geek Squad rep who agrees to contact tech and get more definitive statement. 3 days later Geek Squad rep calls back stating its contractor A&E service will not contact tech or let Geek Squad. I call Samsung back and am told different rep will call me. Yet another Samsung rep calls and tells me that Samsung will authorize compressor replacement but only parts. States I will have to pay for labor and freon. It is 12/25/13 as I write this and still no compressor. This is no way to treat customers. I will not buy this brand again!!
We bought a three piece kitchen set a year ago. First of all, all three items have issues. This dishwasher is the worst. Error message after error message. Constantly. Now it doesn’t work at all. The water wall is off track. No repairman in our area will touch it. They say parts are ridiculously hard to find and expensive. Our oven is sitting in the dining room, broken as well, unable to use. If I could leave zero stars I would.
Weve had a Samsung French Door fridge RF323TEDBSR/AA for almost 3 years (still relatively new). And on replacing the water filter, the filter port began to drip leak with or without the filter. Because it was out of the 1 year warranty, we had to pay $158 parts and $130 labor to replace the entire filter port. The repair guy said that it was because we used an aftermarket (HomeDepot) filter. But comparing the replacement and original, the parts were identical. I think this is just poor quality construction in the water filter port. I would definitely think twice before purchasing another Samsung fridge.
Weve owned this fridge since 3/29/10. Weve had nothing but problems with it ever since. Every time theres a power failure in our area, the digital panel needs to be reset, which has been a difficult process to accomplish. Last June, our freezer started making loud rattling type noise. I had to have the Defrost Sensor replaced as it was faulty and causing excess ice to build up on the fan in the interior of the freezer. Well, now the freezer is doing the very same thing. I called Samsung again last night expressing my frustration and dissatisfaction with this fridge thats only two years old! Since my unit is out of warranty, they originally told me there was nothing they could do about it. I told them thats what I was told last June when I called with the freezer issue and at that time, I was given a warranty extension and the repair was made free of charge. This time, after insistence on my end, I was offered again a free repair or a refund prorated of my purchase price. I chose the refund since Ive had enough with the issues with this fridge. I paid $899.99 for the fridge on sale from Sears, it was originally $1299.99. I was offered a prorated refund of $719.99, which reflects a 10% depreciation for each year of ownership. I said, I think Samsung should stand behind their product and give me a full refund of my purchase price since this fridge has been brought with issues for the last 2 years. I was told a prorated refund was my best option. I now am waiting for the refund check to come in the mail and then go shopping for another fridge. I will never ever buy any Samsung products again. Once I have my new fridge in place, I then have to cut the power cord off my fridge and mail that and the serial number sticker from the interior of the fridge back to Samsung. Their refrigerators should not be allowed to be sold any where.
DO NOT waste your time and money. Samsung appliances are worst and their customer service is even worst than their service. The dishwasher came faulty from the company and we used for 1 time only and we reported that. They cant fix it so they decided to replace it. However they have unit to sell on website but not to replace (which doesnt make sense at all). So they offered me a refund what I paid and I dont want that as they are selling the same unit 200 more than what I paid and havent used that unit even. Also, they said the warranty start from the date of purchase and not when it got delivered.
Our fridge is not 2 years old. Within the warranty period it started making really loud, scare the dogs, popping noises and the water dispenser began dripping. Samsung claimed this was normal. This continued and after 3-4 calls to Samsung with no change in their response the 1 year warranty expired. The ice machine went out 2 days after the warranty expired and we called Samsung once again and were told they needed to send someone out.Service repair company came out and told us this is a known Samsung issue and they wont do anything about it and we would have to purchase an additional warranty to the tune of $475.00 to have this covered. They made what repairs they could and said it would probably not work. Needless to say, the repair did not work and weve had issues with the ice machine and dripping water dispenser for almost 2 years now. Samsung refuses to address this issue. I will never buy a Samsung product again and suggest that no one else does. I have several friends with similar model refrigerators and they have the same frustrating issues.
Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in May of 2009. I did not purchase the extended warranty. In 2010 the motor and the entire back of the frig froze up causing the frig to stop working. The repairmen replaced the motor and charged $500. Then in 2012 it did the same thing. They came out, repaired it and said it was because the door was not closed properly. Repaired it again for $289. Last week it happened again. The repairman came out and said there were 3 errors. Replaced the board and overnight the board fried and the frig stopped working again. Another $300. We paid $1756.26 when we purchased it and have spent over $1000 for repairs putting a non working frig in the almost $3000 range. I will Never purchase another Samsung refrigerator again as it appears there are thousands of people who have the same problem and never gets rectified. I will be reporting this to Consumer reports. Letting them know that Samsung does not hold up to keeping their customers happy. I will be receiving a copy of my receipt from Lowes in approximately 1 Month to add to the verified buyer format. Also, the placement of the ice maker is a poor choice.
All of the negative reviews are true. This ice build up problem is real. I’ve had it fixed twice in 3 years since I bought it. Our washing machine has been shaking and making weird noises as well as the dryer. The dishwasher started leaking right before I started this review which led me to write it to warn people not to buy Samsung appliances. 3 years and nothing but headaches. I have a 20 year old Frigidaire refrigerator in my basement and it works better than my new one. Shame on you Samsung for not helping your consumers. I will never buy Samsung again.
I have a Samsung dishwasher that was manufactured in 2011 (model number DMT400RHS). It has several physical defects. The lower front cover (part Number AP4342361) caught on the door repeatedly and bent, which requires me to periodically rescrew it to the dishwasher. A prong on my upper dish rack snapped off and is rusting. The dish rack rollers (part Number AP4342187) pop off of the dish rack repeatedly. The biggest problem, however, is that a metal piece of the interior cabinet has partially detached and bent. It prevents the lower dish rack from being pulled out or pushed in without a great deal of effort - particularly if it is weighted with plates. I was told by a Samsung authorized service technician that this problem could not be repaired but that the part was under a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, since I am not the original purchaser of the dishwasher (the previous owners of my home installed it), Samsung will not offer me any compensation or assistance in finding a solution.
Unless you enjoy taking your fridge apart for a couple days on a routine basis to remove a back inner panel, defrost the inner workings, and then it all back together again, I do not recommend this product. Weve taken it apart at least six times in the last three years. It is poorly designed. There is a clip that is supposed to help keep an evaporator drain defrosted, but it is too short. The drain freezes up, the ice backs up, goes all throughout the cooling coils, up into the wires and fan--all frozen into one solid block. I finally found a replacement clip that is longer. It is supposed to be here tomorrow--until then I have the fridge. This problem is well documented throughout the internet and this should be fixed by warranty. Its ridiculous and has soured me on Samsung entirely.
Had the fridge about two years. Water gathers in crisper bend. Called Samsung and got same answer as everyone else I am sorry to hear blah, blah, blah call for Samsung Service Repair. Paid over $1800. And should NOT have to call Samsung Service Repair. Fridge should have been a recall since Samsung cant seem to manufacture a working fridge. Will never purchase another Samsung Fridge!!!!
I purchased this refrigerator a year ago and has been problem after problem. I mean from water leaking, handle broke and constantly freezing. A repairman has been out twice because it was still under 1 year warranty. This refrigerator was almost 3k and it’s truly trash. They had to replace the panel that shows ice and water and it still freezes.
I bought the Samsung dual flex because of the flex zones which seemed amazing. Well, let me tell you, the thing is very difficult to use. No more just turning the knob and having the oven on. Everything requires several steps which is frustrating when you are busy cooking and dont have a whole minute to program the oven. It seems petty until you are doing it.Worse is the lack of quality. My previous range was a 30 year old JennAir. A burner went out and the repair was $120. I should have repaired it. This Samsung is junk. We only cook 1-2 times per week with the stove (have an electric pressure cooker and infrawave we use a lot) and my son was trying to turn on the burner and it made a loud pop, the lights in the house flickered and it tripped the 50 amp breaker! I called Samsung right away. Their service center is in Compton, that Compton, and their service people treat you like you would expect to be treated in Compton based on the citys reputation. The guy told me to unplug the stove. I told him it would be a minute because I put a silicone bead between the stove and the counter so spills dont get under my stove and I would need a minute to razor that before moving the stove. The guy told me THAT was what broke the stove. I wish I was smart enough to have come up with sealing the stove and counter to stop the mess but a professional service person did that at my old house and it was amazing. And I have done it since because counter spills running between the stove and counter are gross. And there is no way a paper thin silicone bead on the outside edge of the stove and counter top seam would cause the stove to make a loud pop and then trip a breaker.A few days later someone calls me to come look at it. I thought I was covered at least under parts warranty. Nope! Nothing. $150 for someone to show up and then whatever the parts cost. The fact that there is only a 1 year warranty on this item should be a big red flag. This is the second Samsung appliance to let me down. I bought a Samsung fridge a while back and it was DOA. I ended up with a Whirlpool I hate because I let them haul the old fridge away and then had a fridge full of food spoiling and they offered to deliver the Whirlpool floor model in the next half hour. So 2 for 2 on the Samsungs being crap. And their service is horrible!! Im almost wondering if they are not using prison slave labor. When they call you it is a Compton number they call from. The way their customer service people talk to you and dont care at all prison labor would make sense.
So, I purchase my house in May with all new appliances. I notice from the get-go that the refrig. didnt seem to cool enough for my taste. I thought it was just me, but by the end of May I was already having more issues with the refrigerator. The fan was making a horrible sound. By the time the tech showed up which was over a week later. The fan had stopped working and I had to get rid of all the food. He replaced the sensor and water line. It has now been a week since then and my fan is starting to make the sound again. I called the tech because his phone number was on the receipt he left me. He told me that I had to go back to Samsung and start the process all over. So, that means all my food will spoil again! Do not buy this refrigerator!
The product has ice built up issue that impacts cooling and Samsung do not cover this in 5 years cooling warranty. This is a manufacturing defect in Samsung refrigerators and ice built up issue seems very common in Samsung fridge but Samsung do not own this as manufacturing defect and it will be a big repair cost to customer. Please read the Samsung warranty carefully if you buy Samsung fridge and make sure to buy separate protection plan as Samsung warranty would not cover all.
The freezer part of the refrigerator quit working after only two years. The fact that Samsung is aware of the problem tells me it is a regular occurrence. I wrote to them about the problem and they directed the questions and then said it had to be repaired at my expense. The specific model is RF217 French door.
On day two after bringing the fridge home it has been making multiple loud noises. Ive only had the fridge for 1 month. So I look up the fridge and found multiple complaints and lawsuits. Filing with the attorneys office.
Purchased a stove approx. 30 days ago, surface area on 2 burners peeling. Samsung sent a service center to assess and they apparently reported that it is physical damage. Im still questioning the physical damage from what? I contacted Samsung and was told that it is not covered under the warranty. The service advisor did inform that the peeling was a common problem with the stove but Samsung does not want to honor the repairs or take the onus.
I bought a Samsung refrigerator from Best Buy approximately 6 MONTHS AGO, which I paid a higher price than other brands. I was willing to pay a higher price for a better quality refrigerator. To my surprise and disgust, the Samsung refrigerator broke down. According to their tech, the compressor, which runs the whole thing, is KAPUT!!!! I had other brands before and not one gave me a problem for at least 10 years or more. I have the GREATEST REGRET OF BUYING SAMSUNG! I will never buy any of their products again!!!!!I have spoken to their repair staff and all they can say is Im sorry. I ask for the refrigerator to be replaced and they refused. I sent an email to the US subsidiary president, Andrew Choi, and her secretary answered to have it fixed. I sent an email to their Korean Headquarters to no avail. My experiences tell me that once the product breaks down, others will follow. Especially, it happens when the warranty is over! What are the rights a consumer has on this particular problem? Please advise.
Food and liquids have seeped under the seals of the glass shelves. How can I get it out? Soaking does not budge it.
2015 most expensive model. Does not clean or dry dishes. Do not buy.
Whenever we were in the market to replace our appliances, I always looked to Samsung first. We have 4 Samsung TVs, a refrigerator, 4 smartphones, Blu-Ray player and a washing machine and we love them all. That was until I had the misfortune of purchasing an over the range microwave. Here youve read all the stories about these microwaves and their failure on sensor errors just after the warranty expires. Its a poorly designed product that fails due to the humidity created when cooking on the stove. The only thing worse than the design of the product is Samsungs support for this inferior product.I havent replaced the unit yet because Im afraid the next unit I purchase (Hint: not a Samsung product) will encounter the same problems. I have a countertop microwave someone gave me so I dont really need an over the range model. But when I do the kitchen remodel, Im not sure what to put in its place. Obviously I need some sort of vent so thats where my research now takes me.
We made the mistake of purchasing a Samsung French door refrigerator. The compressor died and that was verified by the one repair shop within two hours that Samsung would allow to look at it. After three weeks we are filing a consumer action lawsuit in WI. When we call customer service, they have either lost what they said they had the day before or today, they need a 7000 number, a request that has not been made in the previous three weeks. Every day they say they will have an answer in 24 to 48 hours. That answer never comes. We have a B&B so have lost business. Avoid Samsung at all costs. There is no reasonable response to consumers.
All of my appliances are stainless-steel and the only one that is rusting is my dishwasher Samsung serial # a3jag9mc00186-1v model # dmt 400rhs. When I called the company to complain about the rust on the door of the dishwasher, I was told that it was cosmetic and not covered by the warranty, which I knew had expired. I was further told that it [the rust] was due to environmental elements. None of my other appliances, which, by the way are not Samsung, did not rust! This is a defective product that should be addressed at Samsung. I will never buy another Samsung product again! Transaction # when I spoke with executive customer services: ** .
Im extremely satisfied and always get compliments on my Samsung refrigerator. Love that it has Wi-Fi on it and I can save recipes I like. Plenty of room in freezer and refrigerator. Stainless steel color just brightens up the entire kitchen.
Bought this dishwasher to replace the original one that we bought (16yrs old) when we built our home. The old worked MUCH better! The only reason I did not return was because hubby installed it and I didnt want to go through the trouble the take out and return to Home Depot. It is quiet but I would rather it be noisy and actually clean my dishes. Had I known I would be hand washing after running a cycle I wouldnt even have bought a new one. Ive done everything that has been suggested, I have to run it on storm wash just to get them halfway clean. I love ALL my other Samsung products except the dishwasher. Look elsewhere for yours!Pam
We purchased this range in the Fall of 2016, Model #NE58K9430, with digital dials. There are several things that are disappointing. It is very hard to keep the glass top clean (this is not my first glass top range). Cannot use pot or pan that is not smooth on the bottom as it will scratch the surface. Consequently, I had to purchase new cookware. If you get too close to the digital panel, even your clothes will make it come on. If you get too close, the lock will come on and the only way to get it off is to flip the fuse box!!! I am short and reaching over to clean the top, the timer button will come on, the warmer button will come on, the self clean button will come on, and that is with only clothing touching. I am at the point of throwing this in the garbage dump. No wonder Lowes had it on sale, which even at $1000 it was no deal. Cannot find order info, but was purchased at Lowes Hardware, N. Myrtle Beach SC. I would NEVER recommend Samsung Appliances to anyone.
Shortly after warranty ran out, refrigerator quit. Called Lowes & Samsung to no avail. Finally got it running again, defroster kept getting stuck on and defrosting all of the food in freezer. Not a reliable product at all. It has finally quit for good and it is going to the dump (where it belongs).
Purchased this attractive SS Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator a few years ago for $2500. It started leaking water in and under the drawers and making a loud noise. Apparently, this is such a common problem, most appliance repair companies won’t guarantee the repair as it may freeze up again in a few months and fail again. When I called Samsung, they said that it is no longer under warranty. They fail to acknowledge the defect. I will never buy another product from Samsung-a company that makes terrible products and fails to acknowledge and repair their defects.
I purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator and an over the stove microwave 3 years ago. They worked great for about 2 years and then the trouble started. My refrigerator stopped cooling completely. I had a service tech come and he told me it was a manufacturers defect but since it was almost 3 years old, I was out of luck. Mind you, he didnt hesitate to try several times to fix it to the cost of over $700 before he suggested I dont put any more money into it. I tried to get him, as a service tech, to contact Samsung to inform them of the mfg. defect but he failed me on that also. The microwave fan went after about 2 years. It did work but was extremely loud. Then the other night (about 4am) I heard a beeping and the microwave was beeping SE. Now it does not work at all. I had to unplug it to get it to stop beeping. Never again on Samsung appliances. Oh yeah, I also have a range I bought which was Samsung and after 1 year with that, I had to have a burner replaced. Im not at all happy, very disappointed.
After just 1.5 years my $2000 stainless steel Refrigerator Samsung RF 28HFEDBSR is streaked with rust along the grain line. I have never cleaned it with anything but mild soap or stainless oil and damp cloth. Apparently using poor quality stainless is the issue and its not only Samsung that does it. Warranty doesnt cover it because its cosmetic but defective material isnt covered by Samsung either, so Im stuck with it.
Keeps freezing up. Had repair 4 times and now the company has no one to service it. My dryer just went out and it is only 2 yrs old and same thing - no one to repair it and the motor has a 10 yr warranty. Crappy customer service! They just keep telling me someone will call with accommodations. In the meantime I have lost tons of food and been without a dryer for 2 weeks. Not sure why Lowes and Best Buy still sell these products when there is no one to service them while they are under warranty. So frustrated!
