I brought a Samsung kitchen package at Best Buy. I have had countless problems with the Dishwasher, many of which have been previously written - doesnt wash the dishes, horrible smell (and I wipe my dishwasher interior door after each use), then when I tried to use it all of sudden lights are flashing and it doesnt drain. First repair said that Best Buy installed incorrectly, fixed that and then the door wouldnt open properly. Tried to use again, same issue with lights flashing and it moves to delicate and doesnt drain again. New repairman came out and said hes NEVER seen a controller board go in a dishwasher cost of the board is $190.00 + installation. Never buying a Samsung kitchen appliance again. Samsung you should stick to TVs and cell phones.

This the 4th microwave I have had since 10/08. The first 2 were GE and needed repairs in less than a year. The Samsung I purchased for the 3rd oven lasted a number of years and I recently purchased another Samsung which was identical to the discontinued model, except it was no longer 1100 watts and some of the buttons had been moved. This oven is a good size and I like it. Although this is a very good oven, I really wanted one that was 1100 watts. It seems they no longer make wall ovens with wattage higher than a 1000 watts.

13 months after purchasing our Samsung Refrigerator the icemaker went out. It leaks constantly inside the fridge and in the cup area. I constantly have to have a paper towel there to soak up the water. It freezes up about once a week and my husband has to use the hair dryer to get it going again. Sometimes we get real cubes, but most of the time we get slushy cubes. We were dazzled by the French door version with the outside access drawer in the middle and paid $2,400. Two years later I vow to never buy another Samsung appliance. Samsung is no help. I hope the class action lawsuit can do something, but the legal process is so long, Ill probably be dead by then!

Ive had a Samsung side by side with drop down door on one panel. It has lasted over 14 years and one move. Moved a second time and the movers messed up the plug and when plugging in it blew the circuit box. Not happy because I loved this fridge. Probably cost prohibitive to have it fixed.

Brand new out of the box--got the SE failure. Sadly we had purchased it to install in a new house build that was delayed so we were a few months out of warranty when our builder installed it. Samsung knowing about the SE error refused any return or free repair even when we could provided proof that the microwave had just been installed. WE Will NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG APPLIANCE. Very short sighted of Samsung to not stand behind their appliances.

Ice maker had frozen up so I removed the ice device and let it thaw out. When I returned the device to the freezer it would not make ice anymore! I reviewed the manual, I shut off the electricity for a while, etc. Nothing worked. My wife, who keeps all manuals for equipment said, heres their phone number. It took about five minutes of the customer service person to suggest we re-boot the unit by pressing a previously unknown button on the back inside wall. We got ice cubes again! Everybody needs a wife like mine and a customer service department as good as Samsung.

I had the vent fan working on my microwave (which is an above range microwave) because I had a stew pot cooking on the range. Supposedly this will help keep condensation down. When I went to check my pot on the range the fan on the microwave had quit and I was getting a code 5 E on the display. I have since learned code 5 E means the keyboard on the microwave has quit due to condensation in the wiring of the microwave. My question to Samsung is...why didnt you take care of this problem before selling me an above range microwave? Did you think through the problem of condensation? Very disappointed in SAMSUNG.

I bought my fridge about two years ago from Lowes, and, no, I did not get the extended warranty (however, I now understand that is VERY important in order to get service on problems). The last conversation I had with Samsung was that they do NOT have a repairman in the Charleston, SC area!!! In the beginning when the ice maker froze, I contacted Samsung and learned how to reset it over the phone. Being retired, I was very impressed that I could do that rather than having to have a service person come out. After repeated calls to Samsung, on the same issue, they sent a repairman to fix the problem. However, I had to ask why I was having to pay anything since this is a well-known problem with Samsung AND that I am aware of the class action suit against Samsung.Since I am having to reset/defrost every 2 months, I am looking for a different brand. I love the fridge but it is too labor intensive to fix the problem that often. BTW, the repairman told me Samsung does a stop-gap fix and if that doesnt work, they may replace the ice maker. But Samsung says the repair is on me. However, Samsung is digging its heels in and leaves the customer hanging. Guess they have enough customers. But do they have repeat customers. Do they not understand the absolute value of repeat business???? The class action law suit is supposedly going to mediation in June, and hopefully, a resolution will be forthcoming.

We bought a side by side Samsung Fridge and Freezer. Within the first year the motherboard broke and Samsung came to fix it with no charge. 3 years later out of warranty the fridge broke again. It took one of their technicians 3 weeks to come out due to them giving bad service. They more worried about the R570.00 call out fee rather than providing excellent service. After 3 weeks technician came and said there was a leakage, rusted pipe and it needed gas. Come on Samsung. After 3 years a fridge cannot need gas. I had a Fridge side by side Fridgemaster for 15 years and it never needed gas. Its abnormal and I know it is a faulty fridge.I told one of Samsung people yesterday I am a very unhappy customer and is only paying because I have to get it fixed. It costed me buying a bar fridge as Samsungs waiting period is pathetic. I was quoted R450.00. I have a call recording and emails sent to them. I intended buying a Samsung washing machine but NO SAMSUNG PRODUCTS ever. I am telling the world out there dont ever opt for a Samsung Fridge. They sell faulty products and would not replace it. My fridge still looks brand new as we working and only uses it at night and over weekends but I made a big mistake as the product is not cheap over 10,000.00. I am still waiting on them now to call me to say when the pipes will be fixed and the gas. Suppose to come Saturday but I will wait and see if I receive a phone call today.

I watched the CBCs Marketplace television program which reviewed problems with Appliances. One of the speakers, Terry, from Vancouver had the exact model of Samsung Refrigerator that I did and had the same problems that I have experienced. Ice building up in the freezer and water building up in and around the crispers. Each week I have to siphon this water out. She had them fix her problem with a COURTESY REPAIR, thanks to Marketplace. I would like the same solution and have contacted Samsungs Repair Department and spoke to Vladimir in the Executive Customer Relations Department, reference number **. He told me there was nothing he could do and that there was no design flaw and no recall. I think all of the Samsung appliance owners who cant believe this rhetoric should band together and make sure that people DO NOT PURCHASE SAMSUNG products if they cant acknowledge when they have problems and then also do nothing to rectify those problems. If anyone knows of a permanent solution, please feel free to let me know! Samsung Refrigerator Model Number RF197ACRS.

We tried to find someone to come fix it and the cost would be more than buying a new fridge. So we bought a Whirlpool from Home Depot for $600 (no frills this time) and hopefully it will last longer. We bought a house and put all Samsung appliances, Refrigerator top off the line, Dishwasher also top of the line, microwave. Since day one we have had leaking issues, logged several calls to the Samsung services department, most of the time they would tell us how to get the LC to stop but not fix the issue. Now that the Warranty has expired (1year Warranty) they send out a Tech and want $350 to fix a known leaking issue. They even have a special kit just for this issue. WHAT you put out a defective product on the market and don’t take care of your customer that bought it. Well just like the phone and batteries issues I guess.

On August 16th, 2015 our new Samsung refrigerator model number RF28HMEDBSR/AA leaked water all over the kitchen floor. We contacted the Samsung customer service number listed on the refrigerator door. 1800-726-7864. After being prompted through a maze of extensions and holding for 20 minutes we were told our refrigerator was no longer under warranty even though it was less than one year. They said they would send out a one time courtesy service call. A week and a half later a third party service company arrived and diagnosed the refrigerator as having 3 defective parts that needed to be replaced. He ordered the parts which took another two weeks. During this time we submitted our purchase receipt to correct the date of purchase and show the refrigerator was still under warranty. The new parts were installed and we thought all was well. Two days later, the refrigerator leaked again. It has been 3 full months now and the refrigerator has leaked water all over the floor 27 times. The Tech Pro Plus company (972-241-6413) Samsung hired to repair their product wont answer their phone and dont have a message leaving option. Samsung wont reissue another work order number to a new service provider because they have already paid Tech Pro Plus even though Samsung cannot get though to Tech Pro Plus either. Samsung says if they issue a new work order with a new repair company, it would be out of warranty and we would have to pay for the repair. Please help?

I have a Samsung Model RFG297HDPN French door refrigerator. Six weeks ago the ice maker stopped working. I removed the ice maker and brought it to a repair shop. They checked the ice maker and it was working properly. I contacted Samsung and they gave me the name of an authorized Samsung repair center. The service man came out, checked the ice maker and said it was fine. He then checked the water valve going to the ice maker and said it was bad. He tried ordering just the valve, but Samsung stopped selling just the valve due to water leaking problems occurring by just changing the valve. He had to order an entire valve assembly. The service man stated Samsung had upgraded the valve assembly four times in the past 3 to 4 years, due to problems. The new valve assembly arrived yesterday after being delayed for over 4 weeks. Eighteen hours after the new valve assembly was installed the ice maker has not produced one cube of ice. Contacted the service man again this morning and he is coming out on Monday and will try installing a new ice maker. Like so many other articles I read, Samsung does not stand by their products. There are page, after page, after page of complaints regarding Samsung refrigerators. A $3,000.00 refrigerator and the company has the worse service in the industry. Im now contacting my State government consumer affairs agency, and filing a complaint. Im also contacting law firms and hopefully will find one that will file a class action suit against Samsung.

I purchase a Samsung 4 door refrigerator model RF32FMQDBSR/AA around October/November 2013. Since then the icemaker has never worked properly even after I called a technician to come fix it and constantly defrosting the icemaker because ice built up inside and it would not work at all. NOW the refrigerator will not cool down... stays around 53 degrees and that is too warm to keep milk and other luncheon meat fresh up to expire date. The worst thing is I have not had it even 4 years yet. Looking at some of the other reviews, I now see that it was a mistake to buy SAMSUNG appliances... I have a Samsung top load washing machine also and see there was a recall on some models. Anyways if it is too costly to have this Fridge fix I will cut my losses and just buy another refrigerator. I strongly feel that SAMSUNG should take responsibility and recall this model. Since that is not likely I will never buy NOTHING Samsung again.

The outside of the fridge however started to rust within the first year and neither place would help out with it so my stainless steel looks crappy! The microwave broke. I just bought a new one instead of messing with Samsung because they are a joke. Now the dishwasher isnt working and when you call you talk to idiots that run through all these questions just to tell you it is not under warranty - yeah I knew that, then that they cant help you. We thought we were buying a top-of-the-line refrigerator when we bought our Samsung fridge 2 years ago. Model RF263BEAEBC. French doors, bottom freezer, ice and water dispenser in the door. From the beginning, the ice/water dispenser was a problem. It leaked and water ran down the left front and over to the left side of the unit, puddling in the floor. If I selected ice cubes, I got ice cubes and crushed ice, with a bit of water thrown in for good measure. Since day 1 it has never worked as it should. We have tolerated it all this time because everything else was fine. Now, we have no ice and have discovered there is (were thinking) no water getting to the ice maker in spite of the cutoff valve being wide open and undisturbed since installation. I have recently noticed water gathering in one of the fridge drawers. I am SO disgusted with this fridge!!! I cannot and will not recommend this brand to anyone!

We purchased the oven in 2016 with a convection feature which we initially really liked & used the convection part almost exclusively. In 2019 I saw a flash of light which I thought was flames coming from the back of the stove. I immediately turned the Oven off & the flames disappeared. Since then we had 3 issues where the convection oven got much hotter than the temperature display indicated & burned the food. We had a repairman come out who determined that the oven temperature was 27 degrees hotter than what the temperature indicator showed. He adjusted the range to lower the temperature 27 degrees to match the range indicator. All of these incidents happened with the convection feature. We stopped using it & only used the regular baking feature. Four days later, my sister was baking a meatloaf at 350 degrees. 15 minutes before it should have been done, it looked like it was already done & before she could take it out of the oven a loud explosion occurred shattering the glass baking dish into pieces. Needless to say, we do not trust this range and will never buy another Samsung appliance!

Our Samsung refrigerator completely stopped working 18 months after purchas
Our Samsung refrigerator completely stopped working 18 months after purchase. French doors with bottom freezer. No in-door ice or water. Trying to keep it simple to avoid issues. Main warranty is only one year, thanks, but other certain items covered longer. Good luck dealing with Samsung. They will set up service, but it will take two days for the service company to even contact you and then who knows how long to actually schedule appointment, and then both companies they have set up to come to our home - because the first one lied and said I cancelled appointment due to cost -- are the most poorly rated of any kind of company I have ever looked at online.I rely on online reviews, but have never felt so compelled to post until now. I am very disappointed with quality of Samsung and now see that many others are too. I have scheduled a separate service company to come out, after already paying out of pocket for another, and will probably just end up paying them to repair instead of fighting with Samsung about warranty; that is if they even can repair. I will be doing a complete remodel on another house soon and will not buy any Samsung appliance again.

19 days without a fridge is not acceptable. Over 13 phone calls to Samsung and being hung up on 4 different times only to have to call back to get resolution, that I have not gotten. I am now told it will be another 3-5 business days before I will be contacted to receive a replacement fridge. 24-29 days and no fridge is completely unacceptable. Someone has dropped the ball and no one wants to take ownership. They only want to say they are sorry. I asked if their CEOs fridge went out if he would have waited this long to have his/her fridge replaced. I bet the answer to this is absolutely not. They probably would have had it replaced within the week.I now am resorted to living out of a cooler with ice so my kids can have milk and cheese, and eating out because it is so wasteful to buy a meal to prep only to have the items spoil because there is no freezer to put my stuff in or a large fridge to put these daily staples in. Who wants to pay for my spoiled food? Not Samsung. Who wants to reimburse me for the need to eat out? Not Samsung. Who wants to replace my fridge in a timely manner? Not Samsung. Who wants to pay for my gas to have drive into town daily to get food? Not Samsung. Who is going to pay for all my wasted hours spent dealing with this debacle? Not Samsung! What recourse of action do I have aside of contacting BBB and filing a complaint? Help!

RF217ACPN - Purchased this item in August 2013. Same issues here: vegetable bins and bottom of refrigerator fill up with water. Finally in Feb. 2015 (after weve spent hours on the phone, defrosting the unit, etc) Samsung granted a one-time warranty extension where they would replace that back part (where the issue is) if we paid the labor costs of their authorized repair service center. Still seemed unfair that we had to pay anything, but we were tired of dealing with it so went ahead. Im sure no one will be surprised to learn that here we are - 4 months later - with vegetable drawers full of water again. Samsung completely useless (again) on the phone, even getting upset that we called it a design flaw. I had purchased a Samsung French Door fridge 5 years ago as it was the only model at the time that would fit in my small kitchen (17 cu ft model). As many reported, from the start, the ice maker freezes ice cubes together in the bin and cleanups are frequent. Secondly, the finish on the door handles (mine are white) just flakes off. I was told they would be over $80 to replace each one. I could live with those issues, however, my fridge developed the same water issue others noted. It collects under the crispers, freezes and makes a mess. I noted online this is a common issue and there are YouTube videos on how to repair yourself. Why must I do that??? Samsung knows of the major DEFECT in their products and one would think a recall would have been issued but basically tough luck.To others reading this, a cheap temporary fix for the water issue: Head to a local Dollar Store and purchase plenty of those drying cloths for cars in their auto section (they resemble camos). I placed one under each crisper and they absorb the water which freezes in them (and keeps out of your crispers). After a few days just remove, run under hot water, ring out and replace. Prepare to do that often until you fix this excuse of an appliance or replace it. I am going to junk this thing soon and replace with a Kenmore.

Updated on 09/27/2019: 4 Broken Ice Makers in 7 years. I have a side-by-side RSG307AARS Samsung refrigerator with 29.6 cu. ft. I purchased in July 2012. The ice maker has broken 4 times. The sensor that controls the paddle arm that ejects the ice cubes has failed each time. The first time it broke, Samsung paid as it was still under warranty. The second time being out of warranty, I paid $400, including parts and labor to replace. The third time I paid for labor only. This latest time Samsung says I have to pay all. Ive contacted their CEO through Email and phone to make them realize that the ice maker and subsequent ice makers have a defective sensor and like an automobile should be recalled and repaired at their expense with a sensor that wont break every year and a half. They refuse. I will never buy a Samsung product again; from what Ive read on the Internet, their refrigerators are the worst. Should have done my homework better 7 years ago. Let that be a warning. I have finally decided to junk it and Wednesday went to Lowes and bought a Whirlpool on sale with an extended 5 year warranty. And, if I never use the warranty, I get money refunded. Whats the chance of that?Original Review: Purchased refrigerator (RSG307AARS) Jul. 2012. Ice maker stopped making ice Oct. 2012. Repairman had to replace the ice maker and 2 circuit boards; this repair was warranted. Per repairman, this was a known issue with Samsung. Feb. 2015 ice maker stopped making ice again; the lever under the ice maker cover thats supposed to come down after each round of ice cubes are dumped into the bucket and sense if more ice should be made stopped working. Repairman determines the ice maker needs to be replaced again. The gears for the same lever are broken. Called Samsung, even talked to a supervisor (maybe). Samsungs bottom line - its out of warranty so they wont do anything to keep me as a future customer. My bottom line - I wont buy another Samsung product.

SAMSUNG DISHWASHER DMT610RHS, a year and a half old. CE error, nothing work
SAMSUNG DISHWASHER DMT610RHS, a year and a half old. CE error, nothing works. I first called Samsung nearly three (3) WEEKS ago. Technician came twice, no results. I spent COUNTLESS FRUSTRATING HOURS on the phone listening to Samsungs service music on hold. They promised to call, but never did. Exceptionally disorganized and counterproductive service structure. Calling Samsung is useless and a waste of time; calling the service company, downright insulting. They basically get annoyed that youre wasting their time, when you just want to have a status report. At this point, Im looking at an organized action against Samsung such as a class action lawsuit. We, consumers in similar circumstances, should collaborate to achieve a successful result.

While baking Christmas cookies a buzz, pop, smoke, then fire broke out of the top rear behind the clock and program panel. Put it out with a fire extinguisher. Scorched the wall behind stove. The circuit board and connectors burned up. Luckily we were close by. Stove is completely inoperative and only four years old. Second Samsung appliance that failed in just a few years and had to be replaced. Fridge had to be replaced due to continued failure and expensive repair. I will never purchase Samsung products. Dangerous and fire hazards when it comes to electrical parts.

Not enough clearance head room was allowed in storage drawer for pot lids. It looks OK when looking at drawer at the store but dont get fooled. Half the time its impossible to open because it gets jammed because of handles. One lid up, one lid down etc. If I knew that issue I would never have bought this stove.

It only takes one bad experience. With that said I will never ever buy another Samsung product again after this last experience. For the last two weeks Ive been dealing with Samsung and the most awful, horrible, unprofessional customer service in 2015. They refuse to just take care of a customer as a priority. My $3600 refrigerator that is less than two years old and all I get is Maam we will get back to you. Maam you will have to wait 24 to 48 hours. Maam you will have to wait 24 to 72 hours. Maam its being processed now. No maam you cannot speak to supervisor. I heard what you said maam. I will not let you speak to supervisor!! Oh and Maam you will just have to wait for your refund. We dont know when that will be. Most disgusted by the Samsung Company.

Purchased french door, freezer on bottom model March 2014. Hinge wheel broke 11/2014, cannot get it repaired because they keep sending wrong part. Dec 2014, start making loud banging noise. Were told they would replace fridge BUT someone wrote it up as installation problem rather than insulation problem. Cannot get any answers. They now say it is out of warranty (I actually told them I thought they were delaying on purpose until we were out of warranty). Terrible service! Spend hours on the phone with Samsung. Last Samsung product we will buy (we have 7 Samsung major appliances).

Recently bought a home that had fairly new Samsung appliances. Not thrilled with brand to begin with. After experiencing several service calls, I will NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Fridge was leaking, tech came and cleaned lines. Thought it was resolved. Then we had problems with ice maker. Did some kind of service. Didnt resolve loud banging noise. (2 service calls) Had to buy brand new ice maker... another service call. Fridge started leaking again. My research concluded that the line behind back wall needs a clip. Wall has to be totally removed and line repaired... another $189. OR we can shut down fridge overnight and it will resolve. Well, that worked... for a month. Now I have the pooling of water under the produce shelf which ultimately leaks onto floor. Do I dare call the service tech again??? What else is lurking after this problem? Way too many problems with these expensive and newer appliances! Do you know if there is a class action suit regarding these appliances, and if so... Im IN!

I bought a fancy computerized refrigerator in March of 2019, started to have problems freezing up and water running everywhere, tech came first then 2 weeks later repair guys came, very rough with the shelves and drawers. In fact broke one shelve, no apologies. Fridge acted up again so called service and they said I would get a refund even though it was no longer on warranty, because parts needed were no longer available. I was told a prorated amount for a refund. So I proceeded with what I was told to do, and then out of the blue I got a text saying my ticket was canceled because it was out of warranty??? Called again and nobody could give me a good answer. But the first guy was very nice and gave me a access number for the refund by Citibank. Well trying to get to the portal was not successful at all and then I get this cancellation **. Definitely not a happy Camper with Samsung. And I have everything Samsung!!!!

We have had our Samsung french door bottom freezer with middle drawer model RF28HMEDBSRAA refrigerator for only 2 years. The ice maker has ruined this refrigerator. This will make a 2nd time in replacement. It continues to freeze up and not work until you try to chip away ice and hope it will then continue to work. It makes very little ice at a time and have to wait for more to make. When trying to get in the ice maker to unfreeze is very hard to get into. I do not recommend this refrigerator.

As our five year old Samsung refrigerator is now trash (model RB2178AB), time to research before replacing. Loved the fridge, no complaints except for twice having to replace the gallon bin in the door. But last week freezer quit and now fridge. Repair person says a freon leak. Not repairable. Expensive purchase for 5 years of use. With a Samsung dishwasher that has required 5 service visits...no more Samsung appliances for this family!

Very disappointed with this model (Samsung OTR Microwave model SMH2117S). Turn table stopped working within year of purchase. This year 2017. Not 3 years past Manufactured date of March 2014. The darn thing would not work. Sometimes if we slammed the door we could get it to turn on. Did online searches and found that we should check the door latch and the door switches. Test reviewed they were good. The wiring in the left hand top of the door - seemed to be faulty. The light in the microwave and the lights on the display would go off before you even closed the door. Opened the door and jiggled the wires. It is now working. It is scary the reviews that I have read about fires for Samsung microwaves. Not recommending Samsung microwaves.

First I bought a refrigerator newest model. After 1 year and a month it broke. We called Samsung and they said first available person will be in 3 weeks!! All food in the garbage. In 3 weeks the repairer came and said that is fixed. Again shopping and after we saw that actually is not working. Again all food went in the garbage . Called customer service they said to wait another one month for another repairer!!! So 2 months with no refrigerator! After 2 months the repairer came and said that he cannot do anything the refrigerator is broken and cannot be fixed. In one year brand new refrigerator cannot be fixed! Also we bought a electric gas range which was not fitting by size together with another Samsung appliance. I requested to return the electric range and they didn’t returned my money! I called multiple times and been told that because I returned just one piece from my order they cannot refund me for the electric range!!! So out of 3000$ for the refrigerator and out of 1700$ for the electric range!!! They don’t answer to emails and on phone calls put me on hold for 2-3 hours and then just hang out! Will never be using Samsung again!!

Refrigerator was leaking sheets of ice under freezer for months. Samsung kept having us try different things to resolve the problem. I was trying to cooperate but Samsung should have replaced the refrigerator. I was repeatedly pulling out sheets of ice. 2 months after the one-yr warranty expired, we woke up to a flood thru our kitchen wall behind the refrigerator to our dining room. $1200.00 in damages we had to pay. Samsung promised they would honor the warranty because it was a continuing problem. After poor customer service, disorganization, and six months of grief, they then said no they would not even cover $400.00 of the damage. We will never buy another Samsung appliance. Very sad. The refrigerators are faulty and too risky to have in the home.

My complaint no. **. Samsung refrigerator broke down after just 1.5 years in service. When you call the customer care they happily say that your warranty has expired and inform that you have to pay INR 400 for the service engineer to visit and analyze the fault first. And imagine the pain when you have to hear one service engineer tells you that the coil is spoilt and gas is leaking, and that you have to pay INR 4000 to rectify these, for a product you paid INR 14000 just 1.5 years back. Over and above this, they say they have no backup spares and it will take 6 days to get it from Delhi (!) in India in a hot and humid climate. Imagine how to manage food without cooling options at home? The call centre is pathetic... Pls. dont buy Samsung home appliances. That customer care execs are sweet spoken, and will speak a lot of Hindi and English but are unable to provide a solution. In spite of making daily calls and telling them that I cannot afford to wait for 6 days, they will make empty promises that they will resolve this as soon as possible but its just a formality and they make no attempts to solve your problems... Your product fails within 1.5 years of purchase. It takes 6 to 7 days for spares to be available. It costs 30% of the product basic price to repair your product just within 1.5 years of purchase. Over and above imagine the pain and agony customer has to go through because there is no cooling option for food at home. At this rate I could have easily purchased a fridge from a roadside vendor who would have given better services than Samsung at half the rate. Give me 1 reason why should customer buy Samsung product for double the rate for such pathetic services. Now you know why Samsung’s mobile phone business is suffering. I am pretty confident their appliances division will be meet the same fate…

I purchased French door fridge (Model RFG298AARS) in May 2010. To be safe, also bought the extended warranty. First problem occurred within 6 months - some sort of electronic (control board) problem. Still under warranty, so no cost issue. The part was replaced at no charge. Serviceman suggested a surge suppressor to help prevent damage to electronic components. Got one and have had no similar problems since. After about a year, ice started forming under the pull-out meat tray, freezing it in place and making it difficult to open. The service tech said it was a manufacturing defect and ground off part of the drip pan. Seems to have corrected the problem. Without the extended warranty, I would be facing a large repair bill. I have also had problems with my Samsung dishwasher and electric stove. l am very disappointed with Samsung kitchen appliances and will not purchase in the future.

We bought the RF263AEWP model on August 30, 2011 from Lowes. About a year later, the fan was making a noise. It was blocked by ice build up. We got rid of the food, and defrosted it, with the help of hairdryer, etc. It was fine for a while, then it happened again. We called an authorized Samsung Repair person. He said it would cost over $700 to fix it. We found reviews where other people had this problem and they spent $$ on repairs, only to have the problem come back. So, we didnt pay for the repair person. We defrosted again... Its now freezing up again. Food in the freezer is soft. We are shopping for another refrigerator. If there is a class action lawsuit, we want to be a part of it.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in 2013 from Lowes. Initially it worked fairly well, however, just like everyone else that has purchased this model, error codes such as E9 started in less than 6 months of use. I watched the videos online and can now take it apart like a professional. Now it is broken again, in a new and inventive way. The rubber parts inside have become soft and need to be replaced. Our Samsung dishwasher is three years old. The internal blower/fan has always been noisy, but we accepted it. However, both the upper and lower baskets have rusted through to the point that supports and wheel mounts have completely broken off. I contacted customer support who connected me with an official parts supplier. To replace the two baskets is a little more than $300. The exact same dishwasher is available to buy for $349 new.I think its crazy that two parts that should last much longer are almost the same price as purchasing an entire new unit. Since I now need to buy a new dishwasher, I am definitely not buying a Samsung. As I replace all my appliances, I will be researching other brands, even if they cost more. I was asked to participate in a customer survey, however the survey was to rate their employee in the call center. She was helpful and pleasant. The survey had nothing to do with the company or the product or my issue. Beyond disappointed in Samsung quality.

Samsung refrigerator (RF4267HARS) with middle drawer and then the bottom freezer compartment has been excellent and I am coming up to the five year mark owning it. The only frustration with the appliance is dispensing ice. When the glass is placed up against the paddle and pressed towards the fridge you can hear the ice auger turning but no ice is coming down the ice chute into your glass. Odd you would think. Then I would open up the fridge double doors and absolutely every time I would be greeted by ice cubes falling down all over the fridge ledge and all over my kitchen floor. No matter how many times I have told Samsung operators that the problem is the size of the ice cubes. The ice cubes get jammed up in the ice chute preventing other ice cubes from falling down the chute into the homeowners glass. A family member purchased an identical fridge six months ago and guess what the ice cubes are half the size. No issues ever with their fridge. A technician replaced the ice cube machine a week ago and the exact same sized ice cubes are being made and the jamming still occurs. This morning I opened up the fridge doors and ice started dropping out of the fridge onto my kitchen floor again. Warranty runs out at the end of 2018 and I cannot wait to sell this fridge. I will no longer purchase a fridge with a ice dispenser.

We purchased our Samsung RS261MDRS/XAA a Little less than 5 years ago. It has been a nightmare. The first week, we had to call the company because the refrigerator was not cooling properly. We had a technician come by to fix it. Perhaps it was a computer problem. The refrigerator would not cool properly, and the freezer would frost up. The very first years we had several people try to fix the freezing of the back panel problem. We have nursed it along, but less than 5 years of ownership, for the second or third time, we have had to move all of our food elsewhere to keep from losing it. The fan made a loud clatter, then nothing. Food kept getting warmer - who knows whats safe, so we had to throw it all away again! Samsung is over their head with refrigerators- cell phones, not so much. Buy at your own risk.

I completely outfitted my kitchen with new, stainless (I thought!) top of the line Samsung appliances. The convection microwave oven board stopped working day one. I returned to store for completely new replacement. Within a week - the same issue. Board replaced four times. Last time just after one year. Problem continued during that time, but I couldnt miss work for repairman to come. Repair tech had said board problem caused from heat of stove. This is an above stove unit meeting all necessary height specs. As a courtesy Samsung offered $430 if I cut the cord and removed serial plate (13 months after purchase of a $700 product with $150 installation!!). I cant replace it for that amount. I also have gas convection range ($1500), the broiler doesnt work. The flames on one burner are HUGE (they licked around pan and caught dinner on fire!) And oven got so hot it MELTED the knobs - apparently they are not metal as they appear but a metal look skin that melts with heat and is also chipping off. Replacement of knobs = $150 only to have it happen again... Additionally my french door Refrigerator ($2800) with two drawers makes a super loud squealing noise. After discussing with a friend, found out she had the same problem with her Samsung appliances. DO NOT BUY!!! NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT or concern for satisfaction. My products are only 16 months old.

We had this refrigerator for a few months. The ice maker broke so Samsung had someone come out in a few days. He told me because they are made with plastic. So this may be a recurring problem? We dont use that much ice. The service man said it would take 7 days for part and I would have to turn off refrigerator and leave door open for 24 hours. Well 3 weeks later no call. He was late the first appointment. I had to call Samsung so they could find out if he was coming. I asked him how to take the glass out to clean. He said he wouldnt because it would break. So I called Samsung again and said I cant ever clean my refrigerator. After a long wait and them trying to figure it out and talking to supervisor they said they would send me an email with pictures and instructions how to remove without breaking. They said the insurance would cover drawer but not glass. So waited for email and of course never got it. So after 3 holidays with no ice maker I will call Samsung again. Still cant clean all of it. We made the ultimate mistake by purchasing this Samsung Storm Wash dishwasher. The dishwasher smells and constantly traps mold in the dishwasher & on the dishes. After less than 1 year the dishwasher hardly cleans at all, the glasses look worse after being washed in dishwasher than before. There is a gross film left on all dishes despite using rinse agent religiously. Silverware has to be rewashed before using. I hand wash more dishes than the dishwasher washes! So frustrating & Im stuck with this piece of junk till I can afford a new one. Very disheartening. Samsung has no care despite emails sent to them. They refuse to help & refuse to take product back. I was willing to trade for another Samsung dishwasher. Shame on any company that doesnt stand behind their product! My daughter got an Mac Pro recently that began to split apart after a month; Apple immediately took care of this. Samsung could learn a thing or two!

Bought my Samsung Microwave ME21F707MJT alongside the Samsung slide in range 2 months ago and recently installed it over the weekend. Ive used it about 3-4 times to heat up some food and once before to make some popcorn. Well this time around I went to make some popcorn using the preset popcorn button as usual and went to the bedroom. After a few minutes I smelled burning smoke and sent my friend to check on the popcorn. She screamed out my name and I went running to the kitchen only to see the microwave in flames. I put it out with a wet tshirt I had used to clean something off the countertop with. Disaster averted.Called BestBuy, BestBuy transferred me to Samsung. Samsung was more worried if I was injured or had property damage. Gave me a ticket number like others before and said I would get a call back within 24hrs. (9:15 am) Finally got a call from Samsung at around 3:00 pm the following day and again, they seem more worried if I was injured or incurred property damage. I was told that a service agent would be scheduled to come to my house and service the microwave. Yep, you read right. Service my microwave. I told her politely that I am a loyal Samsung customer with Samsung phones, tvs, tablets, gas range and microwave, and that I DO NOT want a repaired, serviced dysfunctional microwave that caught on fire and is liable to do so again and Samsung should be happy that this incident wasnt worst than it was and that they should be more than willing to replace a burnt up microwave. Samsung RF217ACPN leaking issue - Purchased the French door refrigerator in August 2010. It started to leak water inside and bottom of the drawers after about 18 months. We just put a sponge down those areas, and clean the water when it very wet. Then we took all food out and leave all doors opened for a couple days in the summer. Less than 2 weeks, the water drop again and even worse. We then repeat the above procedure and left it dry for 3 days this time in the summer. Nothing was changed. We decided to open the cover locate above the drawers. Then we find out that it seems has been opened and repaired before we purchased it! There is big hole at side of bottom of the foam that have tape to cover it. The metal panel has separated with the foam that used duct tape to connect them. The soft stick tape was broken and covered only 3/4 of the bottom...

Mine stopped working right after the one year warranty expired and has the flashing lights. Called a local appliance repair guy and he told me he does not repair Samsung. Why? Because they keep breaking down and he has to keep coming back to replace parts at his cost. Customers think it’s his fault, but after reading this blog, we all know the problem is Samsung. My other Samsung appliances are not great either. I just purchased a new highly rated Kenmore from Sears. After checking Consumer Reports, Samsung has the worst frequency of repairs of all brands. Stay away from Samsung and don’t listen to salespeople. Do your own research first and buy a dependable brand. Anybody want to buy a lightly used dishwasher? LOL.

When we were hit with the dreaded SE, Samsung finally agreed to fix my microwave even though it was a couple weeks out of warranty. About 6 months later, the microwave completely shut down. After many calls to Samsung, they said they would fix it if it was the SE problem again but we would need to pay the technician if it was anything else. Ive been without a microwave for over 3 months trying to resolve this. Is there a class action suit filed yet?

New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H7
New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H704SFG on 07-03-2016 from HHgregg. They delivered the microwave on Saturday 07-09-2016. Used the microwave Saturday and Sunday. Monday morning 07-11-2016 my wife screamed FIRE so I ran to the kitchen where the microwave door was open and a flame about 4-5 inches long was jetting out from the side of the interior of the microwave. When I say jetting it was like a torch so I got the Fire Extinguisher and put it out then unplugged it. The inside wall was still hot to the touch for some time so I removed it from above the Gas Range and Sat it outside for the day. Now there is a big hole in the side wall of the microwave.I called HHgregg and they told me to call Samsung. I called 800 726-7864, spoke to a lady there who gave me a transaction number and said a Product Specialist would call me back within 4 hours. Said I needed to call back with the serial number or I would be charged a service call fee. That return call did not happen within 4 hours so I called again and spoke to another lady who gave me a claim ticket and a service ticket and said the claim folks would call me within 24 hours and the service folks would call back the same day. I did receive a text from service saying The repair facility has accepted your repair. ASC Phone 201-672-9502 ASC will contact you within 2 business days. Then received a call from service around 5:34 who left a message which I returned the call. The lady also needed the serial number which I provided the next day and they have scheduled a service person to come out... today is the 12 the service person will come on the 19 between 10-2. I told her I did not want them to attempt to repair this unit and give it back to me. She said the service person would not take the unit but would take photos and send to Samsung where they would determine if it could be repaired. I told her I would not let that unit back into my home. She said if you refuse the service then you will be left with a broken microwave. This is where I have left this issue. We will see what happens when the service person comes out.

We bought this microwave (SMH9151STE) in December 2010. Today (January 2013), 25 months into ownership, it just died. It powered off when I hit the Start button and no longer works. I told the Samsung rep that there seems to be a lot of complaints regarding this microwave online and that they should stand behind their products. They told me, Sorry, its only a 1-year warranty. What a waste of $175! I refuse to spend $150 to get it repaired. Id rather go spend $300 for a highly rated Maytag microwave.

I used to swear by all Samsung products and always stocked everything in my home with it. However, it seems that for the last 5 years their product quality has been on a downhill spiral. I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model DW80F600UTS for my home. Worked well for five years, but then it just stopped working. Ive read numerous reviews on the same problem that I was having and noticed that I wasnt the only one with the issue. For the time being I am staying away from all Samsung products and will have to review other companies.

Samsung French Door Model RF4287HARS/XAA - In April 2013, we bought our $3,000 Samsung fridge. On June 29th, 2013, I called to report a problem that we couldnt activate the electronic circuit board. We couldnt switch from cubed to crushed ice. On 18 Jul 13 the complete fridge failed. Today is 25 Jul 13 and its still not fixed. Thats after over 5 calls to Samsung and the same to the local retailer. We were traveling so all the food was lost and what amazes me is the cavalier response from Samsung always apologizing and promising to have someone else to call but having no one to fix it. This is the worst customer support Ive ever experienced by a long shot.

I purchased this Samsung refrigerator in July of 2017. From the get-go, I had problems with the unit. First, one of the shelves was uneven. Then I had a couple of service calls to address the loud bang noise the ice machine makes. The repair for this reduced the problem but it still does it occasionally. The most frustrating and persistent problem has been this frequent yet intermittent buzzing sound, like the sound a fluorescent light bulb makes just as it is going bad. I have had the service company out several times to address the issue. The last technician told me it was a normal noise. This is the fifth refrigerator Ive owned as an adult and I have NEVER had this problem. Samsung keeps sending out the same repair company but without any fixes. I am at my wits end.

We bought our dishwasher in Nov of 2013. It worked fine until June of 2016, then it would not run. I called Samsung and told them of the problem, after about one hour on the phone they said they would send a repairman from an authorized repair shop according to them. Two weeks later he came and did a evaluation of the machine and determined that the touch panel circuit board was not working and would order the part. I told him that the dishwasher was out of warranty but Samsung warranty covers the circuit boards for 5 years and we have over 2 years left. The part came to my home and I called dependable services to make arrangements to have it installed. They came out a couple of days later and replaced the new part then tried to charge me 291.65 for the part and the service call after almost a day of figuring out who was going to pay for it.Samsung agreed that it was covered. Because if I had to pay for it I was having the serviceman take it out and forget about it. For that price I could add another couple of hundred dollars and get a new one. Well the machine worked about 3 weeks doing about 15 washes and broke again. Same symptoms. I called dependable services. They came out a couple of days later. Repairman looked somewhere else on machine and decided that it was two relay switches on another circuit board that needed to be replaced. He also tried to get Samsung to replace it and their comment was, We repaired once at our cost we are not doing it twice. The price for this repair was 338.00.Needless to say it was not repaired. I will replace with another brand of dishwasher. This dishwasher replaced a ge brand that came with the new home and never had a problem with except it was noisy. Did a great job of cleaning. I just want everyone to know my problems with Samsung and let buyer beware. I will NOT be buying another Samsung appliance in the future and will tell all my family and friends my story and beg them not to purchase a Samsung appliance product.

Immediately after, the water dispense spat water out fast. Because of the dripping, the bottom drawer handle is now rusted. Samsung accepts no responsibility for a less than 2 1/2 old fridge rusting. I bought a Samsung refrigerator in February of 2007. In 2009, it froze up under the plastic wall in the back, making it impossible to close the door. I paid a repairman $200.00 to come and fix it. He put on a new thermostat, cleaned the coils, defrosted everything and put it back together. 1 year later I had to call him back because it did exactly the same thing. Another $150.00. Then in March it did it again. I called a different repairman, thinking he might be able to truly fix the issue, and he told me straight up that Samsung refrigerators have one fan for freezer and fridge. Its a bad plan, it doesnt work and you cant fix it. Lucky me. Well, it happened to me again today, so, now every 2 to 6 months I have to take my fridge apart, defrost it and put it back together. Its a great plan and Samsung is of no help at all. Too bad so sad, but I wont be buying ANYTHING Samsung again... EVER! Ive posted on FB and continue to tell all of my friends what crap they sell.

$700 dishwasher started acting up 9 months after purchase. Kept shutting down before going through full cycle. Dishes were very dirty. We called for repair since they would also be there for the second repair on the microwave (bought at the same time). A circuit board was replaced and lasted 4 months before breaking down right before July 4th barbecue with 80 people. I spent the next couple weeks talking with various people. 3 times made it to their executive customer relations level. Was sent two emails confirming a one-time repair as we were now out of warranty. Received a final call informing me they have no one to service the machine, I was out of warranty and they would not service, despite previous agreement to service. So what happens when they sell extended warranties at the point of purchase, if they have no one to service the product? I called an independent service company. They advised me not to have it serviced. States Samsung has chronic problems with their circuit boards. To quote, They make great phones, they should quit there. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. I spec products for kitchen renovations. You can be sure they will NEVER be on my list!

Samsung Microwave model no SMH9151STE - I received the SE Error for the first time a week ago or so and followed the instructions provided to clear the error so that the microwave can function again. Unplugging did reset and clear the SE error only for about 12 hours and then it came back again. I called Samsung and discovered that my warranty had expired. The microwave is under 2 years old. The angering part is that it took the very nice repairman about 15 to 20 minutes total to switch out the part and correct the issue. The total cost of the part was $33.61. I was charged $135 plus tax for about 20 minutes of labor. This seems like a common error and since this is the case, why doesnt Samsung provide some sort of discount since their product is defective? Samsung should stand behind their products and offer customers experiencing the SE error some sort of discount or no charge for 20 minutes of labor!

I have spent hours on the phone talking to the call centers it was not until today that I finally was able to speak to supervisor who is going to have a technician come out again to look at the burner that still does not work. Key points to know when working with Samsung. 1) if they come out for a ticket once and you disagree with there findings they will not speak to you. 2)Email correspondence stop after they have told you their decision. 3) they will accept no responsibility. 4) they simply do not care! Please do not believe the five-star reviews for the Samsung FRG298HDRS model refrigerator. The owners have not had them long enough. After two years of use, the water inlet valve started to leak. Shortly after, both ice makers quit. A month after the valve replacement, it filled the lower freezer with water that spilled over my hardwood floor. Two ice maker changes later, I went back to ice trays. I will say the cooling still works fine (for now). Local appliance repair stores in my area wont touch or dont know how to fix a Samsung. June of 2014 we purchased a Samsung refrigerator model# RS261MDRS/XAA. As soon as it was delivered and installed we left for vacation for 3 months. When we returned, a corrosive stain was on the water dispenser that cannot be removed. We did not even hook up water supply so it was not caused by water. Contacted Samsung, they sent out a service tech to look at the issue. Samsung concluded it was a COSMETIC ISSUE. As of now after many calls to Samsung they stick to their conclusion. So I have a brand new damaged refrigerator caused by a defect in manufacturing. This substance is like a acid that came from above and ate the plastic insert. There is no way in this world that this issue was caused by the consumer. Where I stand now is if I call service on this issue it would be at my expense. Hands are tied on a cosmetic issue.
