CODE: dF
PROBLEM: Door circuit failure
FIX: Unplug the dryer and check for loose or damaged wiring connections in the door/lock switch circuit. Reconnect the wires or replace the wires if they look burned or damaged.

CODE: Od
PROBLEM: Excessive drying time

CODE: tS or tO
PROBLEM: Defective temperature sensor (electrically shorted or electrically open)

FIX: Press all the buttons on the control panel to free the stuck button. If the stuck button cannot be freed, replace the user interface control.

CODE: Et
PROBLEM: Control board failure
FIX: Start by unplugging the dryer for five minutes to reset the control board. If the code appears again after you restore power to the dryer, the electronic control board will need to be replaced.

We purchased a new Samsung refrigerator with a bottom freezer. Not long aft
We purchased a new Samsung refrigerator with a bottom freezer. Not long after the installation, we noticed ice buildup in the refrigerator on the right side. We had recently had a power outage in our area and thought that may have caused the ice. We cleaned the ice off, but the ice continued to build. We called service and they came out and made an adjustment to the freezer drawer. We again called service and this technician replaced the drawer slides of the freezer. That seemed to have worked for a while. We now have ice buildup again and our refrigerator is no longer under warranty. I called Samsung directly and they will do nothing. I have no choice but to pay for the repair this time, but have no confidence that it will permanently fix the issue. This is the last Samsung appliance I will ever purchase.

I purchased a Samsung slide in electric range almost 3 weeks ago. Within 10 days, the oven warming burner and clock all stopped working. We had a Samsung tech come out three days later. After testing the unit, he determined that both boards in the unit were bad and needed to be replaced. He left us telling us the parts would be ordered and he would be back about midweek to make the repairs. That evening we decided to use the cooktop on the stove since it was the only thing working. We were making hamburgers in an All clad pan. When we finished cooking I went to wipe the cooktop and that is when I noticed the crack. It ran from front to back on the cooktop. We contacted the tech again and he asked for pictures of the cooktop. We waited a few days and were surprised to hear that Samsung was not going to cover the cooktop. I was quite upset and contacted the company only to be given the runaround. I was told that they could would not authorize the repair even though I explained that we did not dry boil a pan on the cooktop as Samsung alleges we did. To top it all off, now Samsung wont authorize replacements of the boards for the oven. So now we have an 1800.00 range in our kitchen that displays the time set by the technician last Saturday. It hasnt moved since then!

In 6 months, my Samsung dishwasher that retails for $1600 has broken down 4 times and caused 3 floods. Two of the breakdowns happened on Thanksgiving day and Christmas day (before doing any dishes). Samsung customer service is horrible - drones who can only quote company policy and nothing more. Please share your stories at Samsung Repair Support Group on FB - I started the page yesterday hoping that if enough people join and share their stories, Samsung might pay attention and change their lack of product support.

Samsung microwave SMH9187 - As others describe, the microwave started to beep and the -SE- error code appears. This signifies a display panel issue. Some have had success disconnecting power source for ~15 seconds. Others had success by simultaneously holding the stop/clear and enter/start buttons for 20 seconds. Someone else recommended disconnecting the display panel. This is easy. It is easy to remove the plugs and on my model, only the two white and blue plugs at the bottom could be incorrectly swapped but the blue plug connection has the word blue clearly shown. I had disassembled and am trying to use fans to remove moisture. This malfunction occurred after a nearly two inch rainstorm, so there might be some moisture causing the failure. Samsung said they would extend the parts warranty even though I am outside the 1 year warranty, so I would need to pay for a serviceman. If it is just the display panel and if I can get the part for no cost, this is an easy install.

I purchased my microwave on 9 Nov. 2015. Firstly, the delivery was so late I got it around 29 and on 7 of March 2016 it stopped working. I called on the service station, the person who was dealing said that you dont have to pay visiting charges but yes if something will be changed inside you will have to pay extra charges. Can anybody help me by telling the diff. between warranty and guarantee. He said that Samsung people are giving warranty, not guarantee.

If a 0 was available for rating I would rate Samsung with a 0... Never again will they have my business. I purchased my Range glasstop NE59J3420SS at Home Depot on April 2016. Not even a week I was cooking and heard a loud pop noise and removed my pot and saw that the glass was cracked. I immediately called Samsung and the conversation started nicely and was under the impression that they would fix it since the agent told me they would. I send pictures of the damage and of receipt of purchase. They told me they would call me... Never received a call from them. So I called a week later to see what was going on and they had closed my case because no pictures were received they said, which is bs. New agent created a new case number and had to resent everything. She said I had to wait for 3 days and they would call me with an appt sent up for a technician to come and look at it. Again never received a call so called them... They gave me the appt for the technician to come and thought he was gonna fix it. Instead he left with no answers to my questions so called Samsung back and they kept saying they would fix it. Waited and waited and waited and nothing from them. Called again to see what was going on and said again they would send a new technician to look at it. Dont know why. They already seen pictures. But the new technician that came was checking our oven which our oven was working and told him it was the cracked top not the oven and again left with no answers. I called them and said they would call me back. Again they never did. After weeks of waiting for their call I called them back and said it was physical damage and would not be covered. Wtf... Not even a ** week with it and still fully under warranty and they wouldnt fix it. This company is really a ** joke. I was calling them constantly for over 5 months to get this fixed for them to tell me at last that they would not fix it. Very disappointed and frustrated process to go thru with this company. Never ever again will be buying from them. And to make it worst Im still paying Home Depot for this???? PLEASE BE AWARE!!!

I purchased and a 2 door stainless steel refrigerator assembly and in 3 to 5 months we had to replace the ice maker - since then we are on our 4th ice maker. I have had many contacts with Samsung corp, and customer service and now that the unit is out of warranty they now tell me that the repairs will be at my cost - I simply requested a replacement unit for the one that I have. With saying that I have to add that I also have the microwave, oven, smart tv and dishwasher.I have been on the phones with Samsung tech support for hours going over what we are experiencing with their product - they just keep saying now that the unit is out of warranty and that I didnt purchase an extended warranty my request for a replacement unit is and I quote not an option. My question to them is that this problem was existing during the warranty period and 2 ice makers have been replaced during that time. I would think they would have taken that into consideration for it is obvious this problem was pre-existing prior to purchase. I guess their business is stronger than the consumers of their products. They stated to me the only thing they will offer is a one time free repair to the unit and that was the best they could do. I then asked if we have the repair done and 3-5 months again down the road this happens again then what? They said they could say at this time.In other words you just ** out of luck and $1500.00. I wasnt asking for restitution on any type. I just asked for a replacement unit and that was no longer an option because the unit was out of warranty. In closing, I must say I can no longer support the Samsung product. And in closing a message to the Samsung corporation - the definition of great company service is not defined when things are going right. It is defined when things are going wrong!!!!

2014 French door refrigerator 6 months ice maker broken. 4 service calls for broken ice maker then for some reason it worked for 1 1/2 year, then 3 service call in one week for ice maker - water leaks. Finally and I mean FINALLY Lowes has decided they have spent too much money on this unit and are giving us a replacement, Ill believe it when it arrives and this piece of CRAP is gone. We purchased a Samsung side by side model RS25J5822DSG from Home Depot. We had it delivered and when it was delivered they tried to put the bins in the refrigerator door. They would not fit. Home Depot would not do a thing about it. They told us to call Samsung. I called their customer service and have had nothing but a run around on the unit. They sent us new bins and of course they would not work because the mold in the door is defective. I am requesting a brand new refrigerator and still no response. I will keep on this. It is ** to see that even the stores that sell them will not back the product.

Had some noise. Wasnt terrible. More like a low hum. Water started to pool in the crisper drawers. Found the problem and resolution on YouTube. Time consuming but moderately easy. Many wouldnt be able to be as resourceful. Its a design flaw and Samsung should have recalled. Cheap jerks. Door handles were black. My 4-year-old fridge handles look like Ive dragged them behind my car for miles on a dirt road. Unfortunate. Otherwise, everything else has been awesome.

We have a side by side Samsung Refrigerator with freezer drawer on bottom. Its not as big as I had hoped because the ice-maker takes up too much room in the ref section. And it doesnt do a good job of making enough ice. Weve already had to pay over $100 to have the ice maker fixed. Frustrating. Also, the bottom shelf on door never fit properly, has broken several times.

We purchased this dishwasher at Lowes in July 2012. Earlier this year it stopped running and gave an 5E code. We looked it up in our manual and it said drain error. We checked everything and could not clear the code. We tried the cancel & drain to no avail. We ended up pulling everything out and scooping all the water out. We had a plumber come over and he checked all the drains/hoses etc. and found nothing. He then called Samsung and told them he thought it was the electrical panel and they would not tell him anything since he was not an authorize Samsung repair person. Unfortunately around this time my mom went into hospice care so hand washing dishes was going to have to suffice. My mother passed away in the summer. By late August I started contacting Samsung to get an authorized service person to come out. What a nightmare. I had to call a couple of times to get someone on the phone who would even help me. They will not give you the local persons number. I was finally given a ticket number and a phone number to call for Service Quick. This was a long distance call for me. They then said they would have a local person call with a quote and set up an appointment. So finally 6 days later I got a voice message. I returned the call now at least 4 times (another long distance number) which nobody answers the phone. It does not say the company name or anything, just a standard automated at the beep please leave a message. In the meantime I went in the phone book and called a local appliance repair person. They took the whole thing apart and told me it looked like the pump was out and possibly the electrical panel and that it looked like the parts would be about $350. That is half of what this thing cost! They suggested I just buy a new dishwasher. That in their experience the Samsung are a lot of trouble and expensive to repair. They were very nice and only charged me for a short service call. I am very frustrated. Every time I talked to a Samsung person I was asked did you purchase the extended warranty?. That is ridiculous! A dishwasher should not need an extended warranty for something not even two years old! It is now September 9th and I Still have not spoken to anyone on the repair side! I dont have money lying around to just literally throw down the drain on new appliances. But I think that is what is going to happen. I will Never buy a Samsung appliance again!

I am having too many issues with the Samsung Model RS261MDRS-XAA side by side which was built in July 2013. In 2015, it started freezing things such as milk, fruits etc. So end up putting new damper and main board through Samsung repair center website recommendation. It did cost quite a bit that time. Now water dispenser gets stuck when ever I use it and water keeps coming. I called Sears service this time and was told to change the main board. I dont think I am ready to spend more money on this faulty piece. Probably will not buy another Samsung product.

As in many of the other reviews, I also experienced the dreaded SE error code on my range microwave (model 9197). I realize that its probably hit or miss as to what type of help you will get when you call Samsung’s customer service center; however, I was very lucky to get an articulate, responsive person who seemed to be well aware of this problem. He did offer me a one-time courtesy warranty extension which will pay for the repair of my unit. If it has to be replaced, I am ready to fight that battle next!

I bought a new Samsung fridge 5 years ago. The first day I had it, it would not cool. I called the store and they came the very next day and sent me a brand new in the box. It worked for awhile. However, the freezer never seemed to cool cold enough to freeze ice cream as well as pools of water under my cheese drawer in the fridge section. After many service calls and many repairs I just learned to deal with the issue. On year 5 my fridge completely died. I am extremely disappointed with my fridge and will never buy from Samsung again.

I bought my Samsung Stove oven range from HHGregg and bought 5 years warranty with it. Within 1 month of usage (cooking for 2) started noticing the blackish superficial layer peeling off from the glass top. Called HHgregg and was directed to Samsung. Third party repair personnel after inspecting said it is common occurrence and to use razor as suggested to peel of the layer by scrubbing it in a certain way. Before 12 months end I saw the crack on the cook top and a bulge on the glass top. After complaining to customer service it took 30 days with 3 guys from different company and taking pictures of the stove to tell me that it is wear and tear. I need to pay 250$ for cook top and 250$ for the labor to repair it. I cant afford to repair it or replace it as it is the brand new stove which I paid 1200$. Bad customer service. Was told by the electrical company that the engineers at Samsung will see pictures and determine if it was wear and tear. My old cooking range was from whirlpool survived 10 years. Will never buy or suggest or recommend this company or the product.

I built my house in 2008 and purchased all Samsung kitchen appliances. All of my items were purchased from Lowes and their customer service was great. To start with the dishwasher never worked at all. An error code flashed from the moment it was installed so Lowes replaced it with the upgraded model. After 2 months it started flashing a code that meant it detected a water leak. I had repair guys come out 3 times to inspect it, replace sensors and other various parts and it still continues to periodically stop working and flash that code. Samsung is even stumped at why it continues to do this. Next is the above range microwave which has been replaced after only having it 3 years. It was repaired twice and under the warranty was replaced. The new one had is own issues too. Sometimes after closing the door it will automatically turn on and you have to lift up on the handle to get it to stop. Next is the stove. Its a glass top and one of the heating elements went bad after 4 years. The oven light is also glitchy. Sometimes it will flicker on and off when Im baking something. Last but not least is the refrigerator. Its a french door bottom freezer with ice maker and water dispenser. I am so angry with this appliance. It had been repaired the most (5 times under warranty) and still has the same issues. It has the famous leaking water that accumulates in and under the crisper drawers. The ice maker has quit working twice and now dumps ice on the floor randomly. Also, it stopped cooling on one occasion. Im so disgusted with these products and Samsung has very poor customer service. They make the customer feel like they did something to make their product not function properly. Never again will I purchase one of these appliances.

DMT300 Dishwasher - Low water level error. Over and over since the machine was just over a year old. Most problematic appliance I have ever owned. Can fix it by cleaning out the level switch assembly. I have done this 3 times. Had to pay for a manual to learn to press HEAVY, DELICATE, and POWER together to get into the diagnostic mode. I am an Appliance Specialist for a large national appliance store and I always tell my customers the truth. I am a believer of Samsung refrigerators, ranges, otr microwaves and washer and dryers but I always warn my customers about Samsung dishwasher service issues. Im pretty sure that the salesperson that sold most of you a Samsung dishwasher mentioned that they were crap. With so many choices for dishwashers, you should have looked at Bosch first, Kitchen aid secondly then, LG, Whirlpool, GE and Frigidaire in that order. Leaving Samsung at the bottom. So anyone reading this post, please listen to your Appliance Specialist and avoid the frustration of repairing a Samsung dishwasher and please have confidence in the other Samsung appliances that are available.

My Samsung 28 cu. ft. 4-Door French Door Refrigerator, MODEL NUMBER: RF28HM
My Samsung 28 cu. ft. 4-Door French Door Refrigerator, MODEL NUMBER: RF28HMEDBSR/AA, is used on a daily basis by my family of 5. I purchased this refrigerator in July of 2017 for roughly $3,000 from Home Depot. After 4 months of use the Ice Maker began to fail to produce ice. Failures consisted of total freeze up of system ice dispensing unit, water leaks out of ice holding tray down front of refrigerator. After making numerous calls and chats to Samsung and multiple defrost actions, Samsung sent out a repair person to replace ice maker. Today I contacted Samsung and communicated that service repair didnt resolve the issues of total freeze up and water leaks from ice machine. The Samsung Tech was helpful, but communicated that repair would be at my cost since warranty had just expired. Not cool since service didnt resolve the issue.

I wrote a review earlier this month and I had my 1 ½ yr old Samsung RF217 French Door replaced with the SAME MODEL to give Samsung a chance to redeem themselves. I received the new fridge on September 12, 2013. The installation process was horrible and I will address that with the retail company in person. Anyhow, instead of the Fridge portion being too warm like the RF217 part 1, now RF217 part 2 is an overactive FREEZER. Please note I DO NOT use the ice maker, I have that feature turned off, But for some reason I have snow cones being made in my freezer and I cannot open the top drawer as it is FROZEN SHUT. The installers set it up per manufacturer direction temperatures -2 freezer and 38 for the Fridge. Consumer ignorance?? I think not. Samsung Corp. you make a horrific product and I will be pleading with the store that I bought it from to give me back my money in full so I can go back to my normal life. I cannot and will not eat out for another week, month or year because my $1500 refrigerator does not work properly. And just so we are clear, ALL THREE OF MY SAMSUNG Refrigerators were BRAND NEW. ALL THREE WERE FAULTY. I hope this is clear enough that three times is not a charm. In addition to the bad manufacturing, the delivery service managed to deliver a scratched left front French door, left all the packaging inside, dumped about a gallon of water onto my Laminate Floor which I had to personally dive to the ground with bathroom towels because the water would absolutely ruin the floor and they SCRATCHED the side and front of my BRAND NEW WASHING MACHINE, and then denied the damage. I was literally standing right there during the entire install. Hello I was the one cleaning up the water so of course they scratched it. My towel sure didnt. Anyhow, bad product, bad service, and subpar customer service equals the end of customer loyalty to Samsung. Samsung get out of the appliance business.

Unfortunately for me, I didnt read reviews prior to making my purchase. We bought a 4-piece appliance group at a Black Friday event at a local retailer. I hadnt had an ice maker working in my previous fridge for 5-6 years on a 21 year old product. So, needless to say, I was tickled to finally have new appliances with a working ice maker! We had the appliances delivered and hooked up around the first of the year. Within a month and a half the ice maker quit working. We put in a service call and waited. Within about week and a half the technician arrived and swapped out the entire ice maker components. Working again! Apparently, the water line didnt line up right within the unit and the overspray of water iced up the unit eventually.About a month later, same thing happened. Put in a service call, complained about our unit being a lemon and needing to be replace. Sorry sir, we have to have at least 2 service calls before we consider replacing a unit. After waiting for almost a month, technician arrives, replaces all the ice unit components again. Working again! And, the technician said Ill be coming back as he was leaving. Hummm.About 3 months later, the unit completely stopped making ice. Once again, Ive called the customer service, complaining about my unit being a lemon needing to be replaced. Here I am two weeks after that call. No ice, no calls within 24-48 hours which is how everything happens at Samsung apparently. My case was given to a validation group, and Id be getting a call from an Executive in 24-48 hours.8 days later, I get a call this morning from an Executive. She wasnt there to soothe my concerns but rather to inform me that my issue had been sent to a review board. And, they would be contacting me in 48-72 hours... Oh crap! Also during this conversation I was informed that my 1-year warranty was NOT a product warranty but rather a SERVICE warranty, and that they will likely be sending a technician out again for another service and there was NO guarantee they would be considering the replacement of my product. Despite raising my blood pressure and me speaking my disapproval, she ups her attitude, and goes rude on me and we get nowhere. Im waiting the determination of the review board.I call up my retailer, and basically get the its not our problem routine. I ask, so, what happens when my warranty runs out? Oh, sir, you can purchase an extended warranty... And there my friends is the scam. Samsungs product is crap. Samsungs customer service is horrendous, unless you like banging your head on the wall and getting nowhere... In 24-48 hours.I should not have to Google up how to unfreeze a Samsung ice maker on a brand new unit! Be careful to read your warranty, its not a replacement warranty, its a service warranty... Service their way to the 1-year expiration, and wash their hand of you. Unless of course, you spend more money and buy an extended warranty. Do yourself a huge favor. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE, product is crap and customer service is horrendous at best.

Purchased a Samsung dishwasher just 2 days over a year ago. Have had good service until this morning. Started the unit and went to bed. This morning the unit was filled with water, the dishes were dirty, and the front panel light with Quick was flashing. After doing some internet research, I cleared the water from the tub and inspected the filter. No help. Next, I checked the exhaust hose for any blockage. No help. Then I found this site...... Apparently, Ive purchased a pile of junk for a washing machine. Does anyone on this site have a dishwasher they can recommend? (Must have a good 10 years of service --- My old Kenmore lasted 30 years.)

Week later, replacement came and now door dont close properly. Tech came out to adjust and I was good, too bad... all French door refrigerators have this problem because one door is heavier than other (ice and water side is the lighter door). I should check every hour and make sure kids close doors hard. Not Acceptable.

Within days of buying this $2000 refrigerator, the paint started chipping. Having worked in metal painting, it obviously was a case of not cleaning the metal properly and the paint would not stick, this is especially on the edges and top of the door. This very simply is a defective manufacturing problem. Called Sears who said it was a Samsung problem, called Samsung who said it was a Sears problem. After about two hours on the telephone and ten calls, Sears sent me a check for $100.00 to get rid of me. I am happy to confirm that both Sears and Samsung have gotten rid of me. FOREVER!!!

Consumers need to know that Samsung refrigerators have an inherent manufact
Consumers need to know that Samsung refrigerators have an inherent manufacturing design defect concerning the defrost cycle in the freezer section. If any number of components are non-functional, a sheet of ice builds up behind the freezer panel and the fan is unable to spin even if it receives a signal from the PCB (computer board). This horrible sound described by many customers is the fan grinding against the ice as it is trying to spin. There is a defrost temperature sensor that is read by the main computer board. When the temperature in the freezer falls below 18-22 degrees, the PCB picks up the decrease in temperature from the defrost sensor and sends a voltage signal to the bi-metal thermostat, which closes a circuit inside the thermostat (two metal strips) and sends voltage to the heater. The heaters job is to keep the evaporator coils from developing frost and ice buildup. The same thing can happen in the refrigerator section since Samsung designed a twin evaporator system for its refrigerators, one for the freezer section and one for the refrigerator section. Also, there is a timer which is integrated into the PCB that is supposed to keep the thermostat closed for a specified period of time in order for the heater to do its job. Sometimes, the timer on the PCB is faulty and it doesnt maintain the voltage long enough to keep the thermostat in the closed position in order for the heater to defrost the evaporator coils. Unfortunately, the failure of any one of these components can cause a problem resulting in ice build-up and the freezer not working. Samsung has re-engineered or modified its heater and evaporator systems in its refrigerator models several times over. Also, there are complicated voltage readings that should be read from the PCB, and very few, if any, technicians know how to read the PCB or take the time to perform a full diagnostics test. In order to perform a full diagnostics check, the technician has to put the refrigerator in a forced defrost mode which includes both compartments (fridge & freezer). Most technicians do not like to perform this test because it takes time and time is money to an appliance repair business. If you decide to hire a technician, make sure he performs a forced defrost mode test and reads the voltages at the PCB. In order for the tech to read the voltages, he/she has to remove a panel in the back of the refrigerator to access the PCB with his multimeter. Also, the tech should perform a continuity test on the thermal fuse, heater, thermostat, and defrost temp and humidity sensors. If you want to have a better understanding of your Samsung refrigerator, type in Samsung fast track troubleshooting on Google search.Good luck and make sure your technician performs all of the above-mentioned tests. If he refuses, ask him to leave. I know from my own experience, I will never purchase a Samsung product again. Also, a class-action lawsuit has been brought in a few states by several law firms that combined their forces against Samsung. You can Google Samsung refrigerator class-action lawsuit. The complaint should be there on one of the pages.

Nothing. Nada!!! It hasnt been hooked up a year yet. Called Samsung and no help. Nothing. We are stuck having to pay to have it repaired or try to do it ourselves. Bought over 2000 dollars worth of Samsung appliances that day and no help from Best Buy or Samsung whatsoever. So mad!!! How can a stove go out that fast? Its not even used daily. Never again and I will tell everyone I know not to buy Samsung appliances. Just waiting for the Fridge to go next!!!

We purchased a Samsung dishwasher on 10/30/15. It began failing and showing error codes three weeks after its one year warranty expired. Samsung sent techs out three times, twice with no charge and never fixed the fundamental problem; the machine stopped cleaning dishes. Samsung made exceptions and we did not pay a cent for the service visits, but it was utterly impossible to get the company to simply replace the washer as it was just not functioning any longer. Short fused customer service at best and obviously a product line that is inferior. A class action lawsuit ought to be initiated against the company for anyone who bought a dishwasher that has failed in the past 5 years. An abhorrent experience with a dishwasher that was less than 14 months old.

Purchased an appliance package from hhgregg consisting of stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. Five months into ownership starting having issues with ice maker on refridge. A&E Factory service responded five times over a year period. Finally confirmed that the refridge was not repairable due to a manufacturer defect in the freezer door frame which was warped and could not seal properly. Spent several months dealing with hhgregg and Samsung Warranty. Samsung finally bought back the refridge at a pro-rated amount. Plus I had to wait five weeks to receive a check from them and do without a fridge because they demanded I cut the electrical cord on the defective one before they would buy it back. Then hhgregg refused to give me a refund on the five year extended warranty for the fridge which I no longer had. Samsung and hhgregg do not stand behind their products or warranties. Now for the last two months the Samsung dishwasher is not trying properly and the delicate light starts flashing at the end of the cycle. Scared to call Samsung and report it. Will never buy Samsung or deal with hhgregg again.

2 years ago my refrigerator went out on a Friday night. Because I needed a fridge right away, I ended up buying a Stainless Steel Samsung, French door with bottom freezer at Home Depot. It was the worst decision I have ever made. In the summer I have to buy ice because it does make enough. The handle on the freezer broke and to fix it, it would cost 600$ because they would have to replace the entire door. Then the cheap plastic pull out drawers cracked. Now the freezer has stopped working. I will probably end up having to buy another new refrigerator.

Ive had cheap dishwashers that did a FAR BETTER job than this overpriced piece of junk! I bought a mid-priced dishwasher with the hidden controls on top. It was very quiet, but found out it was quiet because it wasnt cleaning! I had the technicians come out (under 1 yr warranty) and they replaced the main board, saying that it wasnt activating one of the cleaning mechanisms. After running some diagnostics and saying it was now working correctly, I did another load of dishes. Although they came out a little bit cleaner, and I mean VERY LITTLE, it was still sub-par.I now have to pre-scrub every dish and piece of silverware before washing, and even then, have to wash some again after the load finishes because of dried soap or debris that wasnt washed off. HORRIBLE DISHWASHER! Although Im pretty satisfied with the other appliances I bought as a group (Stove, Microwave, Fridge), I will NEVER buy nor recommend a Samsung Dishwasher ever again. They need to stick to semiconductors and leave the appliances to other more experienced and reliable manufactures.

While Samsung has become reliable in their TV and cellphone line, much improvements in quality are desired in their appliance line. A Samsung dryer - a recent model that I got, broke down within 1.5 years and their paid service appointment was more than a week wait, leaving the appliance downtown for the consumer. Samsung fridge that I bought had numerous issues including, water leaks that damaged wooden floor, fan not turning, icing in fridge section, sensors needing replacement and such, over the years of its use.Irony is that while these appliances are styled well with their electronics and such, underlying functional quality of their latest appliances as well was seen driven by relative poor quality components that will guarantee repairs past their warranty period. The feedback to the quality department is simple - learn from quality of LG and improve component quality to enhance on the on the functional reliability for the appliance to function trouble free for about 5 years at the minimum. Short of that, itll leave a bad taste in customer use, forcing them to look at brands with better quality.

My Samsung refrigerator broke again. This is the third time since I spent nearly $2000 to buy it new in 2013. But aside from the poor performance of the unit the real problem is the customer service regarding the repair. So far Ive called Samsung every day for the past 11 days and I am on hold again now. Apparently Samsung customer service will listen to the problem you are experiencing, very nicely tell you to expect a call within 24-48 business hours and then throw your information in the trash because nothing happens after that. Every day, I have to begin the process again so in this scenario 24 -48 business hours never passes. Dont buy a Samsung refrigerator. They break and no one is interested in fixing it. Or paying for it. Or replacing it unless you want to box it up and ship it off yourself (they actually suggested I do this!!) There are plenty of refrigerator companies. WARNING: Buyer beware when purchasing Samsung home appliances. Within a couple of months of purchasing almost 2K of Samsung appliances; Dishwasher, stove and microwave the door on the microwave begun to melt. The cost to get new door was almost as much as the cost of a new microwave, Samsung denied warranty. The stove is horrible to use in every conceivable way. Their stainless steel is near impossible to clean and scratches easily. I purchased upgraded SS for fingerprint reduction, shouldnt have bothered. The dishwasher works intermittently at best then within a year the unit would not complete a wash/dry cycle. Worked around problem by manually running the pump, but eventually the sanitize light blinks rapidly would not reset without a hard reset at my electrical box. Now the machine will not complete a washing/drying cycle and I will be replacing. Troubleshooting guide says it is a drain problem. We do not have a drain problem, pump problem or leak problem as suggested by hundred of complaints on this companys dishwashers. Samsung response was not to respond at all. Many complaints I read online included multiple visits by repair people who are unable to fix this and other issues with Samsung appliances. The cost of their parts is so high that again replacement is cheaper in the near short time period. Many complaints online state that repair people used a shotgun approach replacing everything imaginable and within a few weeks or months the problems came back. Dont think the people who are complaining are a bunch of nut job, they are not. Samsung products are no longer on my list of products to buy. I have owned a lot of Samsung products but will never recommend or buy another one of their products until they own up to their problems. I am not holding my breath.

Oh, boy... like everyone else writing reviews, here, our Samsung French doo
Oh, boy... like everyone else writing reviews, here, our Samsung French door fridge with the ice maker in the food section of the fridge is a piece of junk. ($3000.00 on sale for $2000.00.) The ice maker has been the biggest of problems... not to mention the flap on the left door, which allows you to close either door first, broke early in the game, requiring the left door to always being closed first. Where the glass components meet the plastic components, any spillage of liquid will seep under the glass and becomes a permanent stain. And theres more, but I do have a solution to the ice maker problem, so pay attention! We had an appliance guy out this week and he confirmed what I had thought all along: the ice maker DOES NOT belong in the fridge. But, there is a fix, which I did, and it seems to be working. FIRST: remove EVERYTHING from the fridge (Hopefully, you have a back-up, because youll have to turn off, or unplug the whole unit and let the entire unit defrost.) THATS the problem: frost. While this is happening, head to the hardware store and buy a tube of food grade silicone. There is a seam all around the ice maker box. Carefully caulk that seam with the silicone and let it cure for 24 hours. (Keep the doors OPEN.) If you do a really good job with the silicone, it will be invisible. The next day, the silicone will be dry and the odor will be gone. Fire her back up and return your food to the fridge. IMPORTANT!: set the temperature to 0 degrees in the freezer to help prevent excessive frosting. It has been 5 days and the ice maker has only jammed once, so I decided to empty the ice cube bin into plastic bags and move them into the freezer, where they belong, or turn the ice make OFF when the bin is full. But, we do have a working ice maker, now. It just needs a little TLC. Okay, now that we got past THAT, wanna talk about the engineering degree you need to remove and replace the drawers? Or, how about the brushed stainless steel exterior that will attract any smudge within a 50 yard radius. Can you imagine all of your appliances and electronic devices requiring this much attention? Gheeez.... okay... Its the worst piece of crap I ever paid more than 20 bucks for.

I will NEVER purchase any Samsung products ever again. I will also let everyone I know to never purchase Samsung products. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator one year and almost a month ago. The refrigerator has completely stopped working because Samsung put a faulty part in the fridge. They will not do anything to help me or fix this problem because the warranty is one year and it has been 22 DAYS past the warranty. Samsung has told me I will have to pay $160 just to look at the refrigerator + parts which they would not disclaim to me an estimate of how much the part could cost. I had a technician (not from Samsung) come out and look at the fridge prior to calling Samsung and they saw that Samsung had put in a cord that was supposed to have 3 prongs but was broken and only had 2 prongs. They informed me that they could replace the part which would be at least $250 dollars. However that still will not guarantee if the refrigerator will still work because the faulty part might of completely damaged the fridge for good. The technician informed me that I was lucky because the refrigerator could have completely blown up due to the faulty part. I called Samsung after I had learned what the issue was and they would not do anything about it unless I paid for them to fix the fridge and they did not guarantee that even after paying that if the fridge still does not work that they would do anything about it. They basically told me that I would have to keep paying more money to get it fixed because the warranty was up 22 days ago and it is now no longer their fault. What company puts a BROKEN part into an expensive and large purchase putting a household family in danger and then doesnt own up to it nor replace the part?! This is the worst customer service I have ever received my whole life and I am 55 years old and have owned many homes and many appliances in my lifetime. Samsung makes faulty products that are a danger to the consumer and then charges the consumer ridiculous amounts of money to fix it. What a greedy, dishonest, unreliable and manipulative company. The washer is appealing looks-wise. It has the extra door in front to add clothing to a load. Its rare youre able to use it b/c washer makes it IMPOSSIBLE so its worthless. Loads take an enormous amount of time to wash. /For example: 1 normal load using hot water takes up to 2.5 hours depending on your settings. Steam setting takes 3-4 hours per load. Theres a quick wash setting that takes 25-35 minutes but it literally washes them for about 2 minutes and it just splashes it with water and tosses it from side to side so it rarely gets clean or smells clean. Laundry takes a ridiculous amount of time. This is no joke. Towels setting can not be set to hot. Theres no ability to customize loads how you want. If you want super hot water you cant use the towel setting. No ability to wash on normal hot for less than 1hr. & 44 minutes. You cannot customize your loads how you want. You have to go with what the machine thinks it knows. Its pre-programmed and customization is not possible. Worst part of this machine is that the laundry does NOT GET CLEAN. The fabric is never submerged in water so it is not appropriate for items like a urine soaked blanket. The urine will not be washed out completely. I would say its less effective than hand washing is. Capacity (load size). Dont let that big drum size fool you. You put lots of laundry in it some will come out not having even gotten wet. Youre working with a 3 deep puddle at the bottom of the drum that is sloshed around splashing the clothes. It breaks down frequently. Ive had my machine less than a year and it has broke down 3 times so far. It does not use sufficient amounts of water. It does not submerge laundry in water. Instead, it sloshes laundry back and forth in a small puddle of a few gallon water. This is equivalent to spot cleaning. The fabric is never submerged in water. It only gets splashed. You cant use hardly any fabric softener. Unless you want to wait for the rinse cycle and put it in then. If you try to add at beginning of cycle you can only put a few tablespoons in if that. If you use more, it will dump into the wash cycle instead. How I deal with it: My boyfriend hacked it so it fills with more water. BUT...it still is not enough to clean so he set up a hose right at the washer site. So in every single load I turn the hose on for around 10 minutes until the clothes are submerged. If you do this prior to turning it on the washer will drain it on you so you have to start the load then add water into the soap dispenser. You cant even use the extra door, its useless. So the hose gets placed in the door of the soap dispenser. So far no issues but its still a pain in the ** but its better than using buckets of water like I did at first. All these complaints for a $1400 machine. Youre better off with a top loader. I think Samsung ought to stick with making their plastic phones or revert back to making clock radios. Leave laundry to the experts like Maytag. I dont want to hear Im using too much soap or too much water, that is untrue. Ive tried their recommendations and got the same poor results.

I feel like we are living in the dinosaur age with this, but I cant justify buying a new refrigerator and we shouldnt have to, Samsung needs to repair this defective product that they sold to hundreds of people like me.

Same problem as Ashok of San Diego - the water dispenser on our Samsung refrigerator turned itself on around 2am and kept running, flooding our kitchen. The onboard computer threw error code PC ER and shut down the entire machine (except for closing the water valve), not even the light inside would go on when we opened the door. It made a huge mess. We now know from reading this board and from several other sources that there have been numerous problems with ice/water dispensers across many Samsung models. Our model # is RSG257AARS and the unit is just 2 months out of its 1 year warranty. We contacted @SamsungSupport via Twitter. They were polite but will do nothing to stand behind their product. Granted we just missed the warranty period but this is an established, well documented, and widespread problem, an obvious design/manufacturing defect (just read this board!). Rhetorically, who ever heard of a water dispenser turning itself on overnight and causing a flood? Is that not egregiously unacceptable for a one year and two month old, very expensive appliance? Our trusted, local appliance repair guy says it would cost $600 to fix, as the PC ER code represents a massive electronics failure. He doesnt even want to tackle the job at all because he thinks that even with replacement parts installed, its very likely to reoccur due to the low quality of Samsung components, and he doesnt want to be responsible. He researched and found that Samsung has huge problems with its water/ice makers. We purchased the fridge at Lowes, thinking we were getting a good price relative to competitors products, given the features and sleek (looking) design. You get what you pay for, folks. Dont fall for the pretty face. I will never, ever buy another Samsung appliance and I will continue to be vocal about my experience in hope that I can persuade others to avoid doing so also.

We bought a French door, bottom freezer, Samsung refrigerator in 2012. In 2015 it quit making ice. I replaced the ice maker. In less than 2 years that ice maker quit. I called Samsung. They said they could not do anything because the refrigerator was too far out of warranty. A $2000.00 refrigerator should not require ice maker replacement every 2 or so years. After hurricane Sandy I bought all Samsung appliances, I may add that my neighbor also bought same appliances. Within a year, refrigerators both mine and my neighbor was leaking, within 3 years, both our microwaves broke, hmmm coincidence??? Within 3 years also, our shelves in our refrigerators developed stress cracks in all glass shelving supports, within 5 years, my neighbors refrigerator broke, Samsung hasnt honored anything, so she bought a different name. Within 5 years, my dishwasher broke, Samsung dont wanna hear it. I am so disappointed in Samsung that none of their appliances are reliable, and break after 5 years, it cheap in price though! Samsung has created a line of refrigerators that are defective and wont create a permanent fix for them. When I called to speak with a service tech they sub out to technicians local to consumers who dont work for Samsung but contract with them to repair their defective appliances. So, they couldnt offer me any guidance or reassurance the problem would be fixed. They told me not to go anywhere for two days because they would put in my service request. Apparently, their service company dropped the ball, never called so when I called on the second day, they said they had called me? They said to come out was 90.00, the repair was 100.00 and the parts were separate but they couldnt tell me what that would cost. I asked if this patch (repair) would permanently fix the problem, and they said they put a 90-day warranty on it and that is the best they can offer and they wouldnt allow me to speak to a service technician to have my questions answered.

I posted a YouTube video I made about how I fixed my Samsung Microwave plagued with the dreaded 5E (SE) error. Like many other people, my Samsung Microwave started giving me an SE error a little after a year after I bought it. When I called Samsung, they told me the warranty was up and suggested I should call an appliance repair company. I followed their advice on this site and tried to repair the microwave myself by cleaning the display pad. The fix took me about 15 minutes and seems to have worked. Two weeks later, and the microwave is still working fine. Keep your fingers crossed. Some other commentators on this site have suggested that Samsung may now fix this error if you mention all the negative comments on this and similar sites. I will give Samsung another call and see if this approach works if the microwave fails again and once again I am plagued with an SE error.

We purchased a 3 door, 26 CU.Ft. French door Samsung refrigerator with an indoor water dispenser in November of 2012. Approximately a year and a half after the purchase, our refrigerator started making strange noises and there was water spilling out. We contacted Samsung and later had a technician from Best Buy come out and diagnose the refrigerator. Luckily he was able to repair it - he explained that the refrigerator had to be defrosted as the coils had frozen over. Since then, every five to six months we have had to defrost our refrigerator to keep it working. Ice builds up and the cooling element fails. We now keep a close eye on the fridge. The first time it froze over we lost food. Since then we have moved quick to defrost it before it appears to be running warm. But we do worry about the regular cooling in light of this problem. At bottom, this is not what we expected from our purchase. We bought a brand new refrigerator and have not received the quality we expected.

WE HATE THIS FRIDGE! Samsung should be ashamed! This is the side by side model # rs25h5111sr. Its 2015 & with the tech we have now, there shouldnt be these issues. I have over 5 major complaints about this fridge! 1st the noise! When we open the freezer door & then shut it, it sounds like the haunted mansion over @ Diz! It expands & creaks like the walls in the haunted mansion. It was so comical, I invited neighbors over to witness it! They think its hysterical, we do not! When we also open the freezer door & shut it, theres a knocking sound like someone with a hammer is banging for about 3 or 4 times! The thing pops & cracks but not just little pops or cracks. Its so loud it awakens us in the middle of the night! Sounds like someone breaking into our home. The motor is also noisy... why? Did Samsung forget to put needed insulation in this fridge or did they just make it cheaply? After realizing the drawers were cheap slide in & out, we have decided Samsung made everything CHEAPLY! The ice machine sounds like a fire hose when it fills the ice tray. Weve adjusted the water pressure & still sounds the same! We were going to return it the 1st wk. We called Samsung & were told that the fridge needs to adjust & the plastic is new... yada, yada, yada. We also didnt return it due to it works its just SUPER NOISY & getting it in & out of the house is a total fiasco! Samsungs engineers need to go back to school & learn what fridges In the US are supposed to sound like, which is quiet! The other issues we do not care for are: The drawer placement, along with no wheels on the drawers & the unusual light they decided to put in the back of the fridge. The light isnt a good kind of light. Its eerie which goes along w/ the haunted like noise that comes from it! Dont buy this fridge if you want peace & quiet!

4 Door Refrigerator: I bought Samsungs line of appliances when I redid my kitchen the summer of 2015. Ive had the ice maker repaired 2x since then and had to pay out of my pocket since the year warranty was up. Now for the second time the compressor went. The compressor has a 5 year warranty. The first time they put Freon because they couldnt find the leak. They came again and said it is not fixable that I should be getting a new refrigerator from Samsung. Went painstaking through the process to the point I was told they are locating my model. Once they do and its on the truck theyll call with the delivery date. Didnt hear anything for a week. Called back I and was told since the refrigerator is out of warranty they are not giving me a new one. I said the compressor is not fixable and has a 5 year warranty. I was told that doesnt matter because the refrigerator warranty is up and the compressor is not fixable. So why do you claim a 5 year warranty on compressor. If you cant fix or replace the compressor its my problem??? BTW the compressor is in a location they cannot reach, so they say. $3000 for a refrigerator that has had issues after 18 months. I asked to speak to a supervisor w/ 3 different calls. Finally got one, Ricky, and he swore hed get back to me in 3 hour. That was a week ago. The customer service is HORRIBLE. Theyve hung up on me 3x and never called back. And each call since 6/29/18 is an hour. You need to go through the whole story. After telling me I was getting a new refrigerator and waiting a week to find out, no, no refrigerator not one person from Samsung called to tell me they changed their minds. I am now going to get a lawyer.

I received a brand new Samsung refrigerator model: RF263AFRS, purchased from Sears in February 2011. Despite appropriate care it failed the summer 2013 (two years!). Neither Sears nor Samsung offered to stand for the quality and the consumers concern for the excessive noise (now clearly audible through the entire two storey house!). The cooling also seems to be an issue. I am in the process of confirming the latter with an internally placed thermometer. I called both the Sears and the Samsung representatives: it appears they are not willing to investigate their failure to provide a quality product expected to perform up to expectation for at least 10 to 15 or more years similar or better than the old fridges we still own. There is something wrong with quality of Sears service and product from Samsung. Consumer be aware.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (French door/stainless steel type) because we had a small space to put one in so it had to be a certain dimension. I will NEVER buy anymore Samsung products again! Less than one year after we bought it I started to notice that ice was building up on the ice maker so it had to be defrosted every month or so. Next the ice maker fan stopped working and you cant buy just the small plastic fan...no. You have to buy the whole unit at $150.00. Thanks for forcing your customers to spend way more money than you have to! After having the fan unit replaced we noticed that the ice was building up even more and preventing the arm from moving the ice into the ice bin. After calling the repairman, we found out that the ice maker is now broken and it will not make or dispense ice. He also called Samsung for a replacement part and found out that the icemakers are on backorder so it will be a couple of months before we get one because the amount of people waiting for one is rather large. Evidently we are NOT the only people with this problem. We are now looking at spending another $250.00 for a new icemaker. All of the Samsung products I have purchased (washer and TV) have turned out to be crap. The washer had a recall because of the motor causing the lid to blow off of the washer so we got a crappy 150.00 to go buy another new washer that was NOT a Samsung! The TV the screen went out so we bought another TV that also was NOT a Samsung. I will never buy another Samsung product (including phones) because their products are cheaply made and breakdown soon after you buy them. I would never recommend their products to anyone EVER!

Samsung Refrigerator RF28HFEDBBC/AA- This refrigerator has problems with the ice maker. Ice builds up on the interior of the ice maker and has to be cleared at least once a month. The ice comes out wet and the dispenser in the door leaks water continuously. There is also a problem with water leaking into the bottom of the refrigerator and then freezing so you cannot easily pull out your meat drawer. Samsung claims no issues with the unit but from what I see on the internet that is not accurate.Attached is their response: Thank you for contacting Samsung. I see that the ice maker is not freezing, and ice builds up at the top of the unit and cubes come out wet. Also, the water is leaking and filling the reservoir in the door. I know how bothering this issue could be. Samsung does strive to produce quality products and provide best service. However, your experience doesnt reflect this. Samsung products are designed by dedicated and skilled engineers after extensive technical research. We dont have any reported issues with this refrigerator model. Its disheartening to know that you are experiencing these issues. We dont like to see our customers unhappy or inconvenienced; however, Samsung provides 12 months of warranty from the date of purchase. If your refrigerator is out of warranty, you have to pay for the service.A service request was filed for this issue and it was cancelled, as there was no service center available in your area. Since your refrigerator is out of warranty, you may get it repaired locally at your discretion. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. This is what I received from them. Interesting fact I already had the ice maker looked at during warranty and there is a service center in my area. So they dont support the product and dont know who they have in the area to repair the product. Do not buy Samsung refrigerators. No support.

Just like everybody here, I got this error for my Samsung microwave (model SMH9187W), which is just a bit over two years old. I arranged for service myself by a Samsung authorized service company. The repair cost $205.90. The company diagnosed the microwave as needing a new keypad. While waiting for the company to come back with the part and install it, I contacted Samsung about getting reimbursed for the problem. To my surprise, they did have a program in place to reimburse people, but only if you arranged for service through them and only if it was the control panel. If it turned out to be the keypad, they wouldnt pay. My service person came back, installed the keypad (which he said was the recommended fix in Samsungs own manual for repairmen) and my microwave now works. I contacted Samsung again because the invoice from the repair company says they actually replaced the electronic control board. I think the repair person is maybe using the terms interchangeably. At any rate, Samsungs new excuse for not paying me now has nothing to do with how my microwave was repaired, but because they have no way to reimburse me; despite the fact that I have a detailed invoice, that the repair fixed the problem and that it was performed by an authorized Samsung repair company. I just wrote a letter to the CEO and told him I would never, ever buy another Samsung product.

2016 Samsung Black Stainless Steel Refrigerator - Let me be honest, I love the look and paid the extra money for it. What I dont like is listening to my fridge. Especially a repetitive extremely Loud POP noise throughout the night. Called Samsung, first they came and leveled the fridge - did not fix the problem! Called again then they sent a tech, showed me the fine print stating that the inner linings expand and contract during temperature changes creating this loud noise. My last fridge was half the price and didnt make any noise. This noise is not from the ice maker and not the ice dropping into the container that is reasonable and understandable. Let me put it in simple terms, If you were to take claw hammer and smack your hardwood floor with a good blow thats what it sounds like. What is really bad is you get to hear it throughout the day and worst in the middle of the night! You dont know if someone is breaking into your home or what. Very disturbing. We spent a lot of money for this. If I knew this model did this as nice as it looks I would have not bought it.To be fair to Samsung I own their Washer and dryer 3400.00 also a 1000.00 dishwasher and 1200.00 microwave and stove that we are very happy with. So now I have a great looking fridge that makes loud pop noises all day and all night about every hour. Its hard to believe this problem got through any quality control testing from Samsung before selling to the unknowing public. Its just not right and I hope this can be resolved. Help!

My fridge did the same thing as been reported about these type refrigerators, the back panel freezes in fridge side and stops cooling fridge. After multiple times pulling back panel off and defrosting with a hair dryer, I did all my research online in forums and here was what I did to solve problem. I found out it was a fairly inexpensive defroster type electrical thing that clipped onto the defrost line behind the panel where the fridge side cooled, so I replaced it. When the fridge goes into defrost mode is when the pooling water problem happens, because the drain hole is frozen but if you take a piece of clothes hangar and wrap one end around the defrost line and allow the other end to drop into drain hole, it will heat up and keep drain hole from freezing. It has been working for about 4 years now without any problem, except only produces crushed ice.

We are able to cook and entire meal on it with left overs! The controls are easy to understand for the cooktop and oven. If you are in the market for a new stove, you cant go wrong with this one.... You can always donate your tiny air fryer to the Humane Society Thrift Store near you!

Im 65 years old. Ive owned a home since I was 19 years old. Ive had experience with most if not all of the major brands over the course of time. In 2016 we purchased a Samsung Kitchen suite of Black Stainless steel appliances. We have had calls on every appliance except the microwave. The stove fried the electronics the very first time we used the self cleaning oven function. It currently sits with most the digital readout gone. The refrigerator is the worst of all of them. The ice maker freezes up about every 6 weeks, and the refrigerator itself freezes up needing complete unplug defrost every 5-6 months minimum. The dishwasher was super quiet for about a year then started making noise. Repairman says its the pump... I can replace it for $275 and it will do the same thing in about a year. If it were me Id wait for it to quit working all together. You couldnt give me another set of Samsung kitchen appliances. I wouldnt waste my time removing the Samsung junk I own to replace with more junk. Never buy appliances because theyre the only ones with the color you like!

It just started showing SE code; my Samsung microwave was purchased in 12-2009. I looked on other peoples sites and a YouTube video to fix. I hope it works. I will contact Samsung to get replacement if it does not.
