10 months after purchase contacted Samsung 11 months after purchase. Convection fan quit working. Oven wont reach temperature set for oven for example set for 400 but real temperature is 310. Does not cook properly due to oven problem and when it does cook it cooks unevenly. Cooked a meal and turned off oven. Came back 1/2 hour later, glass top was so hot that I could not put my hand on the glass top. I opened the oven door to cool it off and heat pour out of the oven for about 10 minutes (in pulses) and had to switch off breaker in electrical panel. Every so often when temperatures are not working properly the breaker has to be switched off and then on again to reset everything. Call center people generally dont know what they are talking to. Went through them several times then finally got a repair man to visit us. Had to run him down about 3 weeks later and he didnt remember coming to our house and the parts were not ordered.Back to Call Center, general runaround again. Had to check progress a couple of times online. Got very stupid and uninformed answers from them. Finally bugged them long enough that The Presidents Office called and said they would replace the stove. When I asked approximately how long she couldnt tell me.... 10 days or 2 weeks. Would be couriered to our home from their warehouse.....4 hours away??? 10 days later did a follow up and got an e-mail back: This e-mail is to remind you to return your Samsung NE595R0ABWW/AC/ SN: J0WG7DCC - It has been over 7 days and we still have not received the product. If you already sent your defective unit, please disregard this e-mail. Please be sure to return your set as soon as possible to the following address with the prepaid shipping label we e-mailed you.Never received the e-mail the phantom e-mail with shipping label (Why would I ship the stove out without the replacement being here). I phoned the repair station to where I was suppose to send the stove, it was 1 1/2 hours away and it would go right by one of their other stores only 40 minutes from our home. Next e-mail gave me the 1-800 number to phone again, they would help me. And the circle of denial has begun again. There is no honor here because they have not honored their contract (warranty) with the consumer.

Bought a new samsung side by side new at Lowes. It is 11 months old and still under warranty and extended warranty. Started making ticking noise like the fan is hitting against something 3 months ago. Samsungs response is that it is overloaded/over packed and I should unload and defrost. This works for a couple of weeks, then it is the same. I do not load this any more full than my previous Whirlpool side by side or GE before that. Neither previous unit quit working, just moved to larger unit and this time to a stainless. Went with Samsung because it was on sale for same price as Whirlpool but I got a Energy star rebate because of its energy efficiency. If I had read reviews first I would not have bought it. Now I read that Samsung is exiting the American market because we expect them to last too long. A counterpart at work had same issue with identical unit he bought 3 months earlier at Best Buy. He had to threaten Best Buy with legal action before they finally replaced it with more expensive unit (he paid difference). I will never again buy a Samsung product. I will call Lowes tonight and they have always backed their products well for me.

I have been trying to get a refrigerator repaired for 2 weeks. The serviceman who initially came to look at it said Samsung is having a lot of problems with it, but is not doing anything about it. I have spoken to customer service at least 20 times. I have spent many hours on hold, and been disconnected at least 4 times. I have also been told they cannot connect me to a manager, because there were none available. They have finally agreed to pay for the repair, but are unable to find the part to fix a 4 year old fridge in less than 4 weeks. I have been told many times my case will be escalated to the next level, but it never is. I have also been told is it approved for a replacement, but no one can ever seem to figure out how to get that commitment into the computer, so nothing ever happens. The customer service people are only able to type the problem into their computer, never to do anything to fix it. If I hear I understand one more time, Im going to kill someone. It is by far the most incompetent, useless customer service department I have ever dealt with. Couple that with an appliance that is of very poor quality, please avoid it at all costs.

DW80F800UWS - Do not buy!! Junk. Lasted 11 months and broke. Need software update and an updated part. Took almost 2 weeks to come out and fix. 2 months later broke again, new problem. Now I have to wait another week for extended warranty to come out. Also inside was covered in a white residue. Samsung tech stated it was due to soap...dishwasher soap not good for a dishwasher! Says they only recommend finish but it says that nowhere in any Samsung paperwork. Again its junk, save time and money!!!

We purchased a 20 c.f. French door, bottom freezer, Samsung Model RF217ACWP
We purchased a 20 c.f. French door, bottom freezer, Samsung Model RF217ACWP refrigerator on August 11, 2013. It was delivered to us on August 14, 2013. We are not happy with the continuous obnoxious noises this refrigerator makes - a very high pitched noise, a rattling noise that gets progressively louder, and a noise like water running. It is constant noise any time this refrigerator cycles through whatever the cycle is at the time. The drawers in the freezer compartment are iced over all the time and have been since day one. This does not seem normal. On Oct. 11, 2013 we went to the Sears store where we purchased this refrigerator to discuss returning it. The salesman told us no problem since the refrigerator was so new but he had to call Customer Solutions to get it scheduled for pick up.Customer Solutions informed us that since it had been more than 30 days since the purchase, we would have to pay a 15% restocking fee unless we have a service technician look at the refrigerator, that this would be the way to avoid the restock fee. We have no intention of keeping this refrigerator and no interest in exchanging it for the same Samsung product. We wish to return it for a refund so that we can purchase a US made.It appears that Sears has recently (October 06, 2013) changed their return policy on appliances. At the time we purchased we were told that we had 60 days to return. On October 11, 2013 the salesman at Sears was very surprised to hear that Customer Solutions was requiring us to have a service technician look at this refrigerator to avoid a 15% re-stock fee. Seems that Sears can change their return policy and make it retroactive. We have read the many complaints concerning Samsung refrigerators, Sears, etc. We would be interested in joining a class action lawsuit against Samsung, Sears and anyone else selling this inferior product.

Bought a side by side Samsung refrigerator three years ago. I have had nothing but problems with having water in the crisper drawer and underneath the drawer. I have had repair man look and thaw it out and it needs a part is what I am told that whirlpool is making. My food freezes one minute then is too warm. My handles on the doors have paint chipping off and you clean it. Looks horrible. Very dissatisfied. I would never buy a Samsung refrigerator again.

I purchased the Samsung OTC Microwave SMH9087ST from Sears in 11-2010. The microwave started having problems. About 6 months later, it was showing SE error on the display and nothing would work. I got the troubleshooting info offline and it told how to flip the circuit breaker and reset it. I did that and once in a while, it worked but would always go back to SE error. In 12-2011, it began to randomly turn itself off and on in the middle of the night, and throughout the day. The light would kick on. The fan would turn on and off. It starts beeping. It has gotten so frightening we keep it unplugged now and it wont reset at all now. Sears says it is beyond the warranty when I called in Dec. 2011. I have seen tons of complaints posted on them but no one will do anything. Samsung is in denial and Sears is worthless. I have a Samsung oven that I purchased at the same time and we love it, but I wont be buying any Samsung appliances anymore after the way they have mishandled this.

Didnt even get 3 years out of my Samsung model DW80J3020 dishwasher that I purchased in 2016 as part of a 4 piece Samsung appliances pkg from Lowes. Ive had Samsung TVs before and really hadnt had any issues. However their supposed convection stove takes 30% longer to cook than a traditional oven, the refrigerator makes popping noises at night loud enough to wake us up, the microwave makes a thumping noise while the interior dish is rotating, and now the dishwasher has no function whatsoever--no lights, nada. I went online to research and couldnt believe the number of posts relating to the same thing. This is it for me and Samsung appliances. Theyre priced to attract a sale but, as is the adage in so many contexts: You get what you pay for.

I purchased the Samsung RF217ACBP refrigerator two years ago from Sears. Slowly over time the ice maker is making less and less ice (a few ice wedges per day). Over the last two months, we have been getting water collecting in the bottom of the crisper drawers every day. Changed humidity settings on the crisper drawers and varied the temp setting of the refrigerator to no avail. Refrigerator is out of warranty so Im not willing to spend large sums of money to have service repair of the unit. From what I am reading, this may not even result in a permanent fix of the problems. Will empty the unit tomorrow and try the troubleshooting ideas I found online. I wouldnt recommend this refrigerator to anyone.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher for my new home and I purchased it 3 month
I purchased a Samsung dishwasher for my new home and I purchased it 3 months before my house was finished. When the contractor was ready I bought the dishwasher in the box to the new house so they can install it. We moved in the house Oct. 1, 2019. Two weeks ago I called Samsung about the dishwasher wasnt working and explained to the customer service rep that I havent been in my home a year yet. I was advised that the dishwasher is out of warranty and that I can pay someone to come out and check it out. They said the warranty expired at the end of last month. Stupid me I purchased a Samsung microwave, Samsung dishwasher, and a Samsung refrigerator. Im disappointed one because I got less than a year of service out of the dishwasher and two the level of customer service you get when you spend the extra money to get a product that suppose to be good. I will purchase a new dishwasher but it wont be samsung.

I guess I will see how serious Samsung is about customer service tomorrow. My about 2 year old dishwasher has some plastic supports for the upper rack that are breaking down. In looking over customer complaints about the same model I guess it’s a real common problem. Some of the customers are saying that the brackets need to be replaced 2 OR 3 TIMES A YEAR, REALLY. How could this be, cant SAMSUNG come up with a QUALITY part that will last? HOPING I HEAR FROM SAMSUNG TOMORROW. I DONT understand why this model number cannot be flagged and the part just shipped without another 15 to 20 min on the phone. Sure hope they dont try to charge me for their poor choice in material and design. And I hope the part they do have to replace it with is not the same as the one that is breaking down. VERY UNHAPPY.

If I could give zero stars I would! Samsung customer service is jerking me around. I am have all of the issues the previous reviewers mentioned, ice maker freezing, leaking in drawer & leaking water at the top of fridge in back at the seam. I have to keep water line turned off & hope I don’t come home to a flooded floor. I called for service. They came out, said they couldn’t fix it & Samsung rep said they would exchange/replace it. I then paid $80 for the service call for nothing. That was almost 2 months ago. I have called Samsung 6-7 times. I am still waiting for their call which I am sure will be never. Each time I call I am reassured they will call me & it’s been about 2 mos. I am getting blown off & strung along. It’s a 3yr old $2000.00 fridge. There must be some kind of class action suit that could be brought against Samsung. This is so shameful that this huge company can rip people off continuously. Never will I ever again buy anything Samsung. If I happen to see someone in a store in the future looking at Samsung appliances or products I will definitely share my experience & dissuade them from buying anything Samsung.

I bought a Samsung Range NE59J3420SS/AA from Sears November 23, 2015 the day before Thanksgiving. Since then I have had problems with the product. First the discoloration of the cooktop is awful. I called Samsung and was told that was normal and that the range was fine. Well the steam cleaning feature will not work and I called Sears. They refused to fix it nor service it - 1800-726-7864. They had a more hands off and referred me to 1800-726-7864. The CSR that I spoke with implied that I was unintelligent and could not read, and I could not follow simple directions. I told her that I followed the directions given in the manual and that I wanted a technician and to speak to her supervisor. Well he got on the line and hung up on me.I ended up going online to get a service call done and a ticket # and also be informed that the service call will cost me for the tech to come out. Currently I was purchasing a new refrigerator from Conns. I will calling in a few minutes and putting that on hold and changing that product. I also have a lot of Samsung products in my home - washer, dryer, televisions, and three cell phones and I am dreading if something else breaks. IF you are considering any appliances from Samsung I am telling you their service department is awful, rude, obnoxious and callous. Beware of the products you purchase from them be sure that the merchant tells you about the warranty and if they offer additional in house warranty seems to me the best bet.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF263BEAESR/AA - Due to an older house I needed to get a smaller refrigerator. It was hard to find due to all the constraints, size, height, and how far the doors could open. I was excited to find the Samsung French Door Refrigerator, because it fit with all the space constraints my home required. It was a new model so there wasnt any reviews available. Unlike my previous Samsung French Door, a larger version, that I had 7 years ago, this one makes cloudy ice. I just found out from a Samsung repair tech that this model will not make clear ice due to the way it makes ice. Also, because of some restrictions lifted on companies making refrigerators most newer models make loud noises, according to the research I found on the internet. My model sounds like someone in there is trying to get out by throwing a large rock around. It happens every 6 to 8 hours. It can wake me up from a sound sleep. I thought it was the ice maker, but I have turned it off and it still makes it. Samsung basically has made all kinds of excuses, but they havent done anything about it. Other Pros: Ive only had it since Nov 2014, going on 8 months. It so far, keeps my food cold and my freezer seems to be working fine. It has plenty of space for me. Had I known about the cloudy ice issue I may have looked into buying another brand.

My husband and I purchased a LG French Door Fridge when they first came out
My husband and I purchased a LG French Door Fridge when they first came out. It lasted 3 years, the motherboard died. After much research we purchased a Samsung French Door Fridge model RF266AEWP. As of right now, the noise from the fan in the fridge hitting the accumulated ice is pretty loud. Loud enough that I cannot hear a conversation in the next room. My husband called Samsung in regards to this (after we had defrosted the fridge 4 times since June of 2015) and they said that we would have to have a repair person come in and fix it to the tune of $140.00. Samsung has been aware of this defect since 2005 and has done nothing to rectify the situation. Needless to say I have now joined the thousands of other consumers in a class action lawsuit against Samsung. Now onto the Samsung stove we purchased. We purchased a Samsung stove, had it installed. I did the self-clean cycle on the stove one night and opened it to wipe out the soot that was inside and noticed that on the bottom panel of the stove, the paint had melted. My husband called Samsung and was told to shut the stove off and shut the gas off to it as there was a defect and the house could blow up. HMMMMMM just a little scary. We called Best Buy (where we had purchased the stove) and they were very gracious with us. They told us to come in and pick out another stove. We picked out the 5-burner stove with the large capacity oven and a warming drawer. It was originally $2500 when we first saw it but was on sale for $1500. I guess we should have seen the red flag when the price was reduced by $1000. But we bought that one to replace the defective Samsung stove. Well about 8 months ago we kept getting an error of E08. I googled the error and Samsung advised you to shut off the circuit breaker or unplug the stove. So now every time we get the error, I have to pull the stove out from the wall and unplug the stove. Needless to say, in the future we will NOT be purchasing any more Samsung products. I cannot understand why they are rated so high.

If it were possible to give zero stars I would do so. We paid nearly $2000 for this refrigerator less than 4 years ago. We got only 1 year of trouble-free use out of it. Right after the 1-year warranty expired the ice-maker started completely freezing over, making it unusable unless we manually defrosted it. Even though the unit was out of warranty Samsung agreed to repair it for free. Repairman came out, made the repair but said we WOULD have trouble with the unit again. Indeed, and sadly, his prediction was highly accurate as a year later we started having the exact same problem. Now Samsung wants to charge us $525 to fix it AND they only offer a 90-day warranty. Samsung, they make cellphones that catch on fire and refrigerators that only work properly for a year. AVOID this companys products at all costs. They are not to be relied on. The government should do something about them but Im not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.

Buyer beware of purchasing any Samsung home appliance. I purchased a complete stainless steel kitchen set, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, in July, 2017. They look beautiful, but dont work. Repairmen have been to my home eight times in 4 months. Only the microwave has been problem free. The ice maker has been replaced three times and still makes slushy ice. The dishwasher was delivered with multiple problems, which Samsung claimed were not their fault. Begging with Home Depot got me a replacement from them, not Samsung. Now the finish is coming off in black globs. The stove had an oven door that did not close properly. Multiple trips by Samsung repairman finally resulted in having to have the oven door replaced. That only occurred after long conversations with Samsung customer service, and a request for the address of their administrative office. They said they were doing it for me as a one time courtesy. Their repair service (Lake Electronics in our area) matches Samsung in their incompetence and customer disservice. Be smart and invest your hard earned money in a company whose products are worthwhile.

A little more than 2 years ago, I bought a Samsung refrigerator (Model RFG295ARRS) at Lowes. This refrigerator has been leaking from day one since. Due to the fact that my house and business were under construction, my appliances from Lowes were not delivered until 9 or 10 months later, and besides this situation, I was not able to occupy my house and business until the City of Lansing granted me permission to occupy. It took about another 3 or four months for me to do that. Due to the fact that my residence and business are in the same building, I ended paying about $2600 for my refrigerator (I do not recall very well, but I still have my receipt). When Samsung technicians came to my house on June 30th, 2012 and July 21, 2012, they told me that my refrigerator is not repairable. I am trying to get back my $328.94 that they charged me to repair it the first time (June 30th). This refrigerator came defective from the manufacturer, that is what one of the technicians told me the first time and he said that the manufacturer knows that but they had kept quiet due to a recall or that they have to recall all the refrigerators. At the same time, this technician told me that he was aware of the problem and that they had fixed before, but they did not do that with mine and that is why I want my money back. Because they lied to me. Samsung is bad, bad product, bad reputation. I will ask my children to put this in Facebook and everywhere so people are aware of this problem. Now I know there are hundreds of complaints.

We just got our brand new french door 24.6 fridge (RF263BEAESR). We had a GE Profile for over 22 years and it was great but it was white and very outdated. The moment we got the fridge I love it! But then I noticed a loud noise and realized it was the ice maker. I had heard reviews on that so it wasnt a complete surprise. Then I noticed that the fridge was noisy. Instead of a nice quiet kitchen there is a constant noise coming from the fridge. When the compressor or the fan isnt running it’s quiet and peaceful. The only problem is the compressor or fan runs 24/7. It might shut off and be quiet for less than 5 minutes and then it runs loudly again. The noise volume wise isnt that loud but it’s very noticeable especially when I want to just sit at the table and have a cup of coffee. When we are sitting in the family room we can also hear it running. The guy who came out from Frys did acknowledge that it shouldnt run constantly and that it was a little louder than normal. But he didnt say they make noise and that he was very immune to the noise because he services hundreds of fridges. So what am I supposed to buy now?

My fridge did the same thing as been reported about these type refrigerator
My fridge did the same thing as been reported about these type refrigerators, the back panel freezes in fridge side and stops cooling fridge. After multiple times pulling back panel off and defrosting with a hair dryer, I did all my research online in forums and here was what I did to solve problem. I found out it was a fairly inexpensive defroster type electrical thing that clipped onto the defrost line behind the panel where the fridge side cooled, so I replaced it. When the fridge goes into defrost mode is when the pooling water problem happens, because the drain hole is frozen but if you take a piece of clothes hangar and wrap one end around the defrost line and allow the other end to drop into drain hole, it will heat up and keep drain hole from freezing. It has been working for about 4 years now without any problem, except only produces crushed ice.

RF217ACPN - I have owned this refrigerator for about two years. After a year and a half, I started having ice build up in crisper drawers. Researched problem online and found YouTube video describing the problem and fix. Removed shelves, etc., and panel covering defroster coil. I found the coil covered in ice and the drain clogged shut with ice. Followed video by replacing defroster thermistor sensor and using hot water to de-ice drain. I have now gone through the hot water treatment three times, also relocated (slightly) the sensor, but problem keeps reappearing on a less than two-week cycle. I own two of Samsung TVs and a computer monitor manufactured by them. I love them and have no complaints, but the refrigerator design really sucks along with their support. Will never buy a refrigerator from them again. LG??? Same boat??? Korean made.

Keeps freezing up. Had repair 4 times and now the company has no one to service it. My dryer just went out and it is only 2 yrs old and same thing - no one to repair it and the motor has a 10 yr warranty. Crappy customer service! They just keep telling me someone will call with accommodations. In the meantime I have lost tons of food and been without a dryer for 2 weeks. Not sure why Lowes and Best Buy still sell these products when there is no one to service them while they are under warranty. So frustrated!

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. The ice maker didnt work on day one, they sent someone to replace it. This should have been a clue to us, after about 18 months it quit working again. Repair guy replaced the ice maker TWICE with no luck. Finally Samsung informed him that he needed to replace the ice maker and the board at the same time in order for it to work. It lasted about 9 months and is broken again. During that time it would stop making ice for a few days (I like to say it went on vacation which I cant afford to do because I have to keep repairing my stupid ice maker!!). Anyway, now its no longer making any ice - I think it decided to retire and move to a warmer climate. Now were buying bags of ice, which is a pain in the you know what, I cant stand room temperature water. Never, never, ever buy a Samsung refrigerator.

The best thing you can do is stay away from any Samsung Refrigerator. I did my research and Samsung was one of the top brands - big mistake. They have several problems that seem to be across all their refrigerator models. Ice makers leak or freeze up, motherboards go bad, valves malfunction, the list goes on. It wasnt until I started having all these problems - after 5 years - and I googled them to find out these problems are very common. I now have a 5 yr. old refrigerator that I paid $2500.00 for and is in need of over $1,200.00 of repairs. Samsung will not help. They say get the repairs done - and you have to use their service department - and then they will see if they can help. No, not going to do it. Buying a different brand and will never buy a Samsung again. Fair warning.

My parents took delivery of a Samsung fridge model RS267LBWP on Sept.13, 2007. It worked for 32 months and then had no cooling problem. This problem has now gone on for 26 months and 7 service calls (at considerable expense) to the Samsung authorized repair center. Their Customer Service experience has been dreadfully poor as they are unresponsive to what is really a lemon. I have tried to escalate to the Voice of the Customer Manager who referred me to the Office of the President (yes, OOP - spell it backwards and thats exactly what it means). Take this notice and warn people to never buy a Samsung product. They do a great job of marketing and advertising but youre on your own if the product ever has a problem. Sony and Apple lead the way in terms of customer service. I will stick by those brands and the excellent service that they have provided in the past.Just an addendum: A family member bought a 52 Samsung LED TV 3 years ago and now the TV is developing dead pixels in the middle of the screen. This is obviously a Samsung problem but they have no solution to the problem and wont offer one other than a new $800 screen. The end of story - buy a Samsung product if you want but dont say you werent warned of the major customer service deficiencies this company exhibits.

First of all let me say every Samsung appliance that I have, stove; refrigerator; microwave is a piece of poopy. I cannot believe how bad these products are made. The microwave has failed twice, the refrigerator manufactured two years ago failed. Had to argue for weeks to get them to cover this repair, for about 2 months. Stove has a poor layout and pans do not fit on burners. Refrigerator has cheap parts that snap off, warp or do not close. DONT BUY SAMSUNG. THEIR PRODUCTS REALLY SUCK FOR THE AMERICAN MARKET. Made in Korea should not matter, but it does with this piece of poo company!!!

I bought my Samsung DW80F600 less than 2 years ago. Last month I had to have it repaired, calling Samsung is an exercise in futility, on hold forever, excuses, being put on hold to see what they can do, etc., etc. Finally I get passed off to their service contractors and they come out to repair the dishwasher, it seems to work but within 3 weeks same problem happens again. Clearly it was not correctly repaired. This time I google the symptoms and it seems it is a pump problem, not what was fixed last time. Call Samsung and they want another service fee of $100 to fix same exact problem from 3 weeks ago. My answer to is trash this dishwasher and start over. Cant believe this appliance didnt even make it 2 years. I really wish I didnt also have a Samsung refrigerator and range. Dont make my mistake. My new motto is anything but Samsung.

This refrigerator has been nothing but a problem. After 3 years, we had to entirely replace the ice maker for over $200 in repairs (not covered by warranty). After 5 years, we had to repair the water dispenser. At exactly, 5 years and 4 months, the freezer died, 1 week later, the refrigerator died. It is out of warranty and Samsung does not provide any support. In our county, there is no longer a Samsung certified repair shop. No one will even touch it. Samsung finally referred us to A&E factory service, more than 40 miles away. They came out to do the diagnostic today (2 weeks after the freezer failed). The repairs for the broken evaporator are over $700. This was a $1,500 fridge purchased at Best Buy. Samsung has been very disappointing. They are not willing to cover anything or provide product support. Will not buy from them again.

My Samsung refrigerator is still under factory warranty (5-years). The freezer compressor, heat exchanger & filter dryer went out. Contacted Samsung at least 10 times over the past two weeks. Their contractor that does their warranty repair does not have any certified technicians in my area and advised me to go back to Samsung for them to locate a certified technician. Samsung states they dont have any certified technicians and they will refund me up to $1954.00 (key word up to). However it will take 10-14 days for their finance dept. to verify the amount and issue a check. That means 30 days without a freezer compartment. I need ice to pack on my wifes leg for her knee replacement surgery. Temps. here in So. Calif. have been running between 100f and 114f. Constant running to store to obtain ice. I purchased and a 2 door stainless steel refrigerator assembly and in 3 to 5 months we had to replace the ice maker - since then we are on our 4th ice maker. I have had many contacts with Samsung corp, and customer service and now that the unit is out of warranty they now tell me that the repairs will be at my cost - I simply requested a replacement unit for the one that I have. With saying that I have to add that I also have the microwave, oven, smart tv and dishwasher.I have been on the phones with Samsung tech support for hours going over what we are experiencing with their product - they just keep saying now that the unit is out of warranty and that I didnt purchase an extended warranty my request for a replacement unit is and I quote not an option. My question to them is that this problem was existing during the warranty period and 2 ice makers have been replaced during that time. I would think they would have taken that into consideration for it is obvious this problem was pre-existing prior to purchase. I guess their business is stronger than the consumers of their products. They stated to me the only thing they will offer is a one time free repair to the unit and that was the best they could do. I then asked if we have the repair done and 3-5 months again down the road this happens again then what? They said they could say at this time.In other words you just ** out of luck and $1500.00. I wasnt asking for restitution on any type. I just asked for a replacement unit and that was no longer an option because the unit was out of warranty. In closing, I must say I can no longer support the Samsung product. And in closing a message to the Samsung corporation - the definition of great company service is not defined when things are going right. It is defined when things are going wrong!!!!

Luckily, we have a 25-year old GE in the garage, still going strong. Repairman from Samsung came today. Oh, you have to order a $200 part. When you get the part, well come back and install it. We purchased the Samsung SMH9187ST microwave OTR from Best Buy in early 2010. This unit was one of the top-rated OTR microwaves on Consumer Reports. The oven has been very lightly used as we have a second microwave in the kitchen (a Sharp which is over 7 years old). Anyhow, 29 months after purchasing the Samsung, the keypad is showing the SE code and is basically unusable. We purchased a Samsung RF197ACBP French Door Refrigerator from Best Buy in August 2013 after considerable research. We bought it because it was one of the rare 19 models that would fit into our cabinet-depth space, and because of what seemed like a good general reputation. Wish wed checked here! The door handles of this black refrigerator have had paint scratching off since the beginning. Best Buy replaced them the first week, but theyve continued to scratch and ding. A week ago, we couldnt open the left vegetable drawer. Discovered it had become stuck in place by a half-inch of solid, clear ice underneath. After eliminating all other possible sources of leakage (and note, we did not install the ice maker, so theres no water being piped to the refrigerator), we discovered a vent hole on the back panel that appears to be dripping small amounts of water. Now weve read how common a problem this is, and of course our fridge is out of warranty, and we are left to deal with it. This is corporate fraud of the most disgusting kind. To think that this expensive, ill-designed piece of junk replaced a 40-year-old Amana that never once failed us makes me despair of American and global business. Well try the self-help options - and maybe a local repair call - but I wont pay a dime for Samsung or Best Buy service.

We purchased the WaterWall dishwasher, three rack on March 22/2016. But we did not have it delivered until mid May because we didn’t move into our house until then. We actually paid 999.00 for it. Up until 6 weeks ago we had no problems with it. We are a retired couple with no children in our home. I would load and use the dishwasher about every 2-3 days. Being only two of us, it wasn’t over worked at all. The Famous 7 E code came to our attention. Not knowing a whole lot about the dishwasher I contacted Samsung and basically got told, I had no warranty. To make matters worse I live 3.5 hours from a appliance repair company. Knowing we could not afford a call out fee for someone to travel to and from our home never mind the cost of the repair, we decided after reading so many complaints about this model we would buy a different brand. It would be cheaper in the long run. My only concern is that if youre going to buy a major appliance. Do your homework and look it up on the reviews. I wish I had done mine and I definitely wouldn’t have bought this machine.

TAAADAAA remove the filter and it will now be in bypass, but the water is filtered before it gets to the fridge...... ONE other GREAT feature, the filters are 10 to 20 dollars as apposed to $70.00++ for each Samsung replacement filter. The filter assy (first filter is included) and reducer hardware to install is still less than the Samsung replacement filter. Just remember to buy the charcoal filter for taste and sediment. Samsung Microwave model # SMH8165ST - I bought this microwave in May of 2011, and it has gone out on me flashing the SE error code across the keypad. Nothing helps; the breaker is not tripped and I tested the plug to make sure it works. It is completely un-usable and of course the warranty has expired. I had to pay $500 plus to get it installed over my stove and a week or so later, pay an electrician another $500 to put in a new breaker for it because it kept tripping. I have been reading a lot of reviews on Samsung models with the very same problem. It appears to me that these should have been recalled long ago, but Samsung continued to sell them.I am 73 and on a fixed income, have no husband to make repairs, and pulling the thing out of my kitchen is out of the question for the moment. It looks like Im stuck; I feel this microwave should have served me for many years no more than I use it. Next week, 7 grandchildren will be here for a week for Camp Grandy and I cant imagine not having a working microwave! Hopefully, this helps someone else. I will certainly steer away from Samsung products from now on. I gave it 2 stars because it did last almost 3 years.

When I purchased my Samsung refrigerator, at the time was the number 1 rated refrigerator of its type. From early on, I had started having troubles with the lower ice maker plastic parts breaking off. The service tech said that this was a common problem. Later we started having issues with the upper unit not cooling. Again I had a service tech come out only to tell me that the Twin Cool Plus system is another common problem. I was told to empty my refrigerator and turn it off for 24-48 hours to allow the unit to defrost. Or I could use a blow dryer and try to speed up the process. Is this what it has come to?? I called on several occasions to discuss what they would do to solve the Twin Cool Plus problem, and all they wanted to do is to send another service tech at my expense to look at the refrigerator. Purchased four new stainless steel appliances together in 2013 one being the Samsung french door refrigerator. I was warned about this from a few of my friends as they made that mistake and had extensive problems with ice maker and water dispenser. Despite their warnings, I bought one anyway believing theirs were non-typical occurrences and ours would be fine based on how much they cost. In less than a year, the ice maker failed and refused to work at all - had worked intermittently prior to then, but I chipped ice off the auger thinking that was just a fluke. Unfortunately, I did not feel like spending an additional $350 for more coverage on a brand new item and trusted it would last longer, so we go without ice.Next, loud noise coming from a fan which worsened over less than two weeks, then stopped altogether. Now fridge at 45 deg and warm items, primarily noticeable with the milk. Secondly, under normal use, the door flapper between the doors failed and has to be held with a hand to shut! Finally bit the bullet and called Sears where we purchased it and scheduled service. After trying to sell us a monthly service agreement for all appliances promising 50% off if we signed, I opted for just the repair which was an apparent plugged auto defrost drain hose which caused ice to build up around fan and fails to permit cooling. $500 + dollars later they have parts on order with a repair date of 12/10. All this for a NEW fridge. Samsung sucks and I regret selling the old reliable simple fridge that came with the house and was already 10+ years old at least!! I will definitely deter anyone from buying Samsung refrigerators when I can - garbage and I truly believe are built to fail which guarantees more money for their parts (job security) and their retailer for service costs - in this case Sears. Purchased refrigerator during October 2015 and appliance began giving problems about 8 months later. After much bureaucracy to get a repair through warranty, the problem still remains. The Ice Maker freezes in the back of the refrigerator and stops the Ice Making mechanism from making Ice until the ice built up in the back is chilled away or melted with a blow dryer. This process needs to be performed every three weeks. It was delivered a few day later, the box from the outside looked fine, no damage to report, all is good. Two weeks later when my contractor had the dishwasher installed it leaked water from the front of the unit. After further examination damage was located inside the dishwasher that was creating the leaking issue. I called Conns to report the damage and was notified by the manager that it was a Samsung issue due to it being after 30 days from purchase and they gave me an 800 number to call. So called Samsung to report the damage, they listened to what I had to say and told me that a service technician would need to come and look at and/or possibly repair the dishwasher. Fine, a tech came to the house, looked, took pictures, called and reported back to Samsung while I was listening and this is what he reported. There is damage to the inside of the dishwasher that cant be repaired, the customer could not have seen this damage from the shipping container and that the dishwasher needed to be replaced. All was good until a few days later I hadnt heard back from Samsung so I called to ask for an update and possibly get the ra number required to replace my dishwasher. I was notified that the service technician reported back to them the damage was cosmetic and therefore the damage would not be covered under the manufactures warranty. I replied to the lady that the technician had reported something completely different to myself and to them while I was listening. She said that another service company would have to be sent out to resolve the issue. Thats what happened, another company came out and looked at the dishwasher and reported to them that the dishwasher was damaged, could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. The customer could not have seen the damage from the shipping container so therefore needed to be replaced. Waiting, waiting, nothing from Samsung, so I called them again for an update and this is what I was told! The damage to your dishwasher IS NOT covered and will not be replaced due to the technicians report that visited our home. I paid $500.00 plus for a brand new dishwasher that was delivered, unusable and will NOT be replaced. I am not rich, $500.00 dollars is a lot of money that normal people cant just throw away but I guess that is what Conns and Samsung expect. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Lets start with a Samsung refrigerator, model RF260BEAEBC/AA, that had a failed ice maker in first six weeks. After working with Samsung call center to do troubleshooting, no change. Now with outsourced service company, USSI, who can be reached for updates through a toll number, not even a toll-free 800 number. Company has not vested interest in Samsung product quality, as they service other brands also. We will be without ice maker for nine days before the hoped-for Monday call from service to schedule a service visit. I can tell you, the USSI call center rep was about as cool and indifferent to my problem and the delays as you can get. In the future, will try to stay away from products where company is not fully invested in the warranty and service aspect.

SMH8165 - I have tried a few different things suggested for this microwave. What finally seems to have stopped it is I took the keypad off and disconnected the thin wires from the circuit board. They are towards the top of the board in the middle. They seem to go to the sensor that was malfunctioning. We do not use the sensor cook modes so that resolved the SE error for us. Wont buy another Samsung OTR Microwave. They have twice the repair rate of other models according to a popular consumer reporting site.

Samsung Counter Depth Smart French Door Refrigerator - We purchased our refrigerator in February of 2017. The icemaker performs terribly. This is definitely not a family refrigerator. The icemaker does not even produce enough ice for just the two of us. Sometimes it does not produce any ice at all for no apparent reason. There are other times when it is just slow. It is simply not consistent. The best way to make sure you have ice with this refrigerator is to use ice trays. I can have 16 cubes of ice per tray in 30 minutes as opposed to waiting hours if I depend on the ice maker. I would not purchase this refrigerator again if I could go back and do this all over again.

I bought a Samsung microwave that sits on the counter top in 2017 from Walmart. The first few times I used it I never had trouble. Then about a month into having it I was heating up something for about 5 minutes and it cut off completely and wouldnt come back on for a few minutes. Then when it comes back on it resets the clock. Now 3 years later its only gotten worse. You cant cook anything in it for longer than 3 minutes or it cuts completely off and then resets the clock. We have unplugged it to reset but it still wont cook anything over 3 minutes. Ill be buying a different brand next time for sure.

Our model RF217ACBP refrigerator, purchased from Sears, has worked well except that it has developed a problem with water accumulating in the right crisper drawer. This is a french door model, with a bottom freezer compartment and dual evaporators. I suspect the problem is a plugged or frozen drain, but have not yet located the problem. Other than the fact that we cannot use one of the crisper, the refrigerator works well.

Periodically I like to clean behind my refrigerator and make sure that the coils and part of the refrigerator they recommend that we clean in their manual. If we dont really put the refrigerator back exactly level refrigerator runs constantly and will not defrost. We have to pull the refrigerator back out unplugged it, leave it unplugged for 2 hours plug it back in level it again before it will work. Ill never buy another Samsung. We also have their range which I have had to have a replacement part for as well. We have only owned these appliances for three years. But its long enough to know that Samsung does not build a reliable appliance. I only used a 1-star rating because I couldnt leave it blank.

My problem is when I pull out to wash either the vegetable or fruit drawer to wash them there is a space in the bottom front of the drawer where garbage accumulates like seeds from peppers or a piece of parsley, etc. and there is no way we can remove the front part of the drawer in order to clean that out. I chatted with Support and I was told there is no way to remove the front part of the drawers to wash. Its my only complaint about my refrigerator. All is well otherwise. About 6 months after purchasing and installing our OTR Samsung microwave, the popcorn setting began to burn up the bags of popcorn so we quit using that setting. Then roughly 8 months later (and after the warranty ran out) our microwave started to turn itself off and give an SE error message. After doing this for three or four times, the front panel just went out and never came back on regardless of our attempts to revive it.I went online and began to research the problem and it is very obvious that this is an inherent problem with Samsung OTR microwaves despite their previous top rating. And most of the reports state that the replacement costs are prohibitive and the replacement parts also malfunction. Now we are stuck with a $350.00 piece of junk and it is not even 1 1/2 years since the purchase! Planned obsolescence? I bought this microwave because it was highly rated and because it matched my other Samsung kitchen appliances. Oh well, I cant get my money back and it doesnt make any sense to repair it - so it goes to the landfill. Ridiculous! I wont buy another one, but I do wish that everyone knew about the issues with these microwaves prior to even considering this brand of microwave oven, especially because this is an ongoing problem and Samsung is well aware of it.

We purchased this product on July 27 2017. Months after we purchased it the ice maker started icing up and water started dripping inside the fridge. When you would hit the ice button you would first get water then ice would drop. The ice would not be totally frozen. Then water would drip out after you were finished. Three different times they have replaced the whole ice maker. On Nov 8 2018 they told our repair man they were going to do an exchange. Then on Nov 29 they had another company come in and fix it (3 time). On Jan 24 it started doing the same thing. When we contacted Samsung they told us it is now our problem. They are not going to fix it again. They totally lied to us about exchanging it. This fridge is nothing but junk and headaches. We ended up going to Sams Club and purchased an ice maker. You spend nearly $3000.00 for a refrigerator and you cant even have it make ice. Buy from a different company. They know they have problems with this refrigerator and they wont stand behind them. We will never have another Samsung in our house. Read other reviews on this. I know others have the same issue. We read them but we thought they had the issues resolved. Boy did we find out the hard way.

I purchased a new Samsung dishwasher in May, 2017. In August, 2018, the unit broke - would not drain and then the circuit board fried. Initially, Samsung said they would issue a warranty allowance (even though it was 2 months beyond the warranty date) and would arrange for service or provide a new unit. After 5 days, during which they failed to find a technician, they decided they would not provide any help or compensation - I was out of luck. What kind of company is this that they sell people a product costing hundreds of dollars, it breaks after a year and thats it?! Every service person I have spoken to has remarked that Samsung DWs are extremely poorly made and designed and the advice I got was to not fix it and go buy a Bosch instead. Between multiple service calls at my request and the new unit, Im out well over $1000. I hope somebody organizes a class action lawsuit.

We have had our dishwasher 13 months, 1 month too long apparently. It was working perfectly, used approximately every other day. Then one day, it started to malfunction, stopping 10-15 minutes after we start a load, with an error message SE. Look up that code to find that its a draining problem. Ok, no problem. Disconnect the hoses, clean out the water, see that the hose is draining well, and reconnect. Load runs perfectly. Next load, the message happens again. This time, I remove the entire hose, clean it out. Reattach, runs perfectly. Happens again after the next load.Called Samsung, they stated sorry, your warranty is expired. Well, of course it is. Why would you warranty your product for more than 12 months? Ok, so thats fair. I ask for suggestions. Instead, the person I get at the 1-800-Samsung can hardly speak English, is talking SO quietly I can hardly hear her over the noise of the call center, and is basically just repeating what I am telling her. ZERO help at all. Tells me to just turn the power on and off then offers me some numbers for people to call to get authorized service. Tonight, after the 4th time of the SAME error message happening, we drain it, leave it unattached to the drain and have it drain into a bucket. Its draining fine, wonderfully in fact, but again, while watching it drain, we get the SE message, the same message that states we have an error with our drainage system. So, its one of two problems, a motor or an electrical. Either one is UNACCEPTABLE for a 13 month old dishwasher. Every single one of my appliances is a Samsung product, and because of this incident, I have absolutely zero faith in the other products. The thing that is now really bothering me is all the negative reviews of this product. How is it possible that this product is considered a high end product when I cannot find a single review to substantiate that? We spent almost $800 on this thing. Thats ridiculous, and to only get 13 months out of it. To get it repaired is going to cost us $200 for the service call and whatever the cost of the part that we need. I think we should just replace it but again, that makes me so mad because we shouldnt have to be replacing ANYTHING at 13 months. Im so upset Im crying. Shame on Samsung. Shame on you.

The refrigerator started to get really hot and ice machine broke... Now the refrigerator is broke. Wont get cold... Person at Samsung was super rude. I have experienced the same complaint everyone who owns a Samsung microwave seems to have - the SE error code. I contacted Samsung and it took four chat sessions and an angry phone call to have a service person come out. I was told the control panel would be replaced, no charge on epidemic warranty; servicing agency knows nothing about it. I was told I would have to pay for the control box if it needs replacement. It seems like Samsung is well aware of this major problem, but has chosen to do nothing until your unit fails - and it will. Then they horse you around for days to get it serviced. I have lots of Samsung products with no problems, but this microwave has totally destroyed my Samsung vision. It is just an out and out piece of crap. The ventilation system sucks, which I believe is the cause of the SE code because moisture builds up in the control panel. If I have to replace, I guarantee it will not be with another Samsung.

Just got through using a hair dryer to defrost the ice maker again, every 4-6 weeks. Seems to be a common problem with no solution from the blogs. Updated on 05/05/2020: Sumsung does not stand by their appliances. Two weeks ago, my Samsung microwave - 4-1/2 yrs.old - turned itself on. Didnt hear it running until the fan came on. By that time, it had melted a splatter cover to the turntable. We had to unplug it to get it to stop. The unit was red hot. If we werent home, there could have been a serious fire. Samsungs response - a free service call to diagnose the problem. We would have to pay for the part ($121) plus labor. They assume no responsibility for a potentially dangerous situation. Weve already replaced the Samsung French door refrigerator because of a defective ice maker that would cost $500+ to repair (there is a class action lawsuit concerning this) as well as a potential $300 fan repair. We have had to replace the control panel on the Samsung range 5 months ago. All the Samsung appliances were bought new and delivered Jan. 29, 2015. My advice to anyone considering Samsung appliances - find another brand. Regardless of what Consumer Reports says (which we consulted before making the purchase), buy ANYTHING but Samsung. Thanks for letting me vent.Original Review: We have a Samsung microwave purchased on 2014. Today, the microwave evidently turned itself on without the fan. By the time the fan turned on and I heard it running, it had melted a plastic splatter cover to the turntable. We were unable to turn it off and had to go to the breaker to shut it off. If we werent home at the time, there could have been a fire in our kitchen. This is a very dangerous situation. This is the second Samsung appliance causing issues. We just replaced a Samsung refrigerator also purchased in 2014 that had weekly ice maker jams (we understand there is a class action suit against Samsung for this issue). All I can say is it is very fortunate we were home when the microwave malfunctioned. I intend to replace the microwave and report this issue directly to Samsung. Im sure there is no recourse except to repair or replace the unit. At this point, I have lost all faith in any Samsung appliance and will never purchase this brand again.

Ive purchased over the range microwave in May 2010 and in October 2011 (17 months later). The SE note came on the screen. The cost for a technician to come out was $75. This did not include the part or labor to fix it. I went out and purchased another brand of microwave and will never purchase another Samsung item.
