Samsung Dryer Model DVG60M9900W Error Codes

CODE: do
PROBLEM: Door open
FIX: Begin by cleaning the door switch/lock to remove any lint or residue that is keeping it from closing properly. Use a bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab to clean the connectors. They must make complete contact for the dryer to operate.

CODE: dF
PROBLEM: Door circuit failure
FIX: Unplug the dryer and check for loose or damaged wiring connections in the door/lock switch circuit. Reconnect the wires or replace the wires if they look burned or damaged.

CODE: Od
PROBLEM: Excessive drying time
FIX: Clean the moisture sensor inside the dryer drum with a bit of rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab. If you use dryer sheets, they coat the sensor with residue and extend drying time by tricking the sensor into thinking that moisture is still present.

CODE: FE
PROBLEM: Problem with power supply
FIX: You can test the voltage the dryer is getting with a voltage meter. If the dryer is getting the 60 Hz power it requires, the electronic control board is faulty and must be replaced. This requires a professional. An electrician or your electrical power supplier should check the frequency of your electrical power supply when they come for the repair appointment.

CODE: tS or tO
PROBLEM: Defective temperature sensor (electrically shorted or electrically open)
FIX: Unplug the dryer and use a volt/ohm meter to test the resistance of the temperature sensor or thermistor. If the resistance is more than 40,000 ohms, replace the thermistor.

CODE: hE or HE
PROBLEM: Gas dryer heating error
FIX: Unplug the dryer and reconnect any loose wiring connections on the gas valve coils or replace the wire harness if damaged.

CODE: hE or HE
PROBLEM: Electric dryer heating error
FIX: First, check the circuit breakers in your home's electrical box to see if they have tripped. Reset if they have tripped.

CODE: bE
PROBLEM: Stuck button on the control panel
FIX: Press all the buttons on the control panel to free the stuck button. If the stuck button cannot be freed, replace the user interface control.

CODE: Et
PROBLEM: Control board failure
FIX: Start by unplugging the dryer for five minutes to reset the control board. If the code appears again after you restore power to the dryer, the electronic control board will need to be replaced.

Samsung electric slide-in range. First -- Samsung does not honor its warranties. Second -- in a period of 3 years, the left front burner cause a break in the glass in the same place while boiling water on 8, not high. After pressing Samsung relentlessly and being accused of lying, they finally replaced the top, but with no additional warranty. Their repair people here in Ill, Unique didnt even run diagnostics. Less than one year later the same burner caused the same break with the same configuration as stated above. I was across the room, no I didnt hit the glass and no Im not a liar. Third -- I did manage to set a hot dog on fire using the broiler. I let the fire burn out as trying to fix it would add oxygen and thats not a great idea. It burned out the oven altogether. The oven will no longer work at all. Finally -- as for operation --- If you lean on the control system at all -- say to lift a pot from the back burner, you will likely turn on another burner or turn your oven on or off without knowing it. Great product. So, after spending too much on an inferior product I am now in the position of having to spend even more money to purchase a new oven. One might also consider the battery and glass problems that Samsung has had with their phones. Inferior glass... Inferior sub-contractors (Unique)... Inferior claims dept. Dont do this to yourself.

Samsung Fridge Model#RS261MIMD8P - Ive had this refrigerator for 3 years and have had problems with the freezer for over 2 years. You have to keep defrosting the freezer to keep frost out and the freezer gets so cold it forms ICE in the bottom. Dont buy Samsung products. They dont care about the consumer, take your money someplace else. Ive had the repair man out 3 times since I purchased this product.

Me and my husband got the Samsung French door with bottom freezer refrigerator in January 2014. The bottom of the French doors underneath the plastic drawers - its froze with sheet of ice and the plastic drawers have water inside them. Also my freezer has ice all in it beside the ice maker and it has froze food to the fridge. My left front handle has paint chipped off of it. We have contacted Aarons in Dallas NC multiple times and they said they ordered new parts but then we keep going to pay the bill and they say it hasnt been ordered again. It hasnt been anything but a problem since we got it! I wont pay that much for a samsung refrigerator again and ours is almost paid for. And wish I knew the bad stuff before getting ours!!

I now join a select group of people that have made an expensive mistake. I bought a Samsung RS263 less than 3 years ago and now the ice maker and cooling fan have stopped working. It will not only cost me $375.09 to fix, but the parts are on back order and will take 5-6 business days to get here (translates into 8 days). I share the sentiments of many, Its a refrigerator, youre supposed to plug it in and forget about it for next 15 years!!! Now its down to can they really fix it or did we waste $1,300?

Model RF220NCTABC/AA - cracking noise from doors. The problem with the door
Model RF220NCTABC/AA - cracking noise from doors. The problem with the doors is not exactly in the hinges themselves. There are two plastic pieces: one black in the top next to the hinge, another white in the bottom next to the hinges. These parts have the function of toggle-close the doors and unfortunately are not of the right quality. They are each attached to the door with one Phillips screw. If any of them breaks, you get the crack sound. I just removed the one on the bottom right and the problem went away. Your technicians answering the phone should be trained on that and even if the refrigerator was bought more than one year ago, send customers these parts for free. Probably the postage will be more expensive than the parts.

French Door RF26VABPN repeat water leakage issue - Bought this appliance 10
French Door RF26VABPN repeat water leakage issue - Bought this appliance 10/08 & am recently encountering the 3rd problem since purchase which, according to other reviews, makes me one of the luckier owners having had it now close to 9 years. The 1st problem was continued water leakage with ice accumulating under both crisper drawers. I ended up calling a Samsung approved repair center that came out, evaluated the problem and ended up having to order a major part with total repair cost of $450. This occurred in 2014. Then the icemaker started making clicking noises periodically a year ago & finally stopped working. Tech charged $99 to come out but told me I could buy & replace the icemaker myself, which I ended up doing - Final cost $250. As of a month ago, the same problem is occurring with water accumulating under the crisper drawers & flowing out the front. Im not ready to spend another $450 so Im shopping for another refrigerator, anything except Samsung!!! The refrigerator before this model was a Whirlpool side-by-side that worked well over 20 years problem free. Refrigerator bought at Lowes, Gainesville, FL.

We purchased a Samsung elec. range (FTQ353IWUX) in 2009/2010 from Best Buy with an extended warranty. Within the first year, the oven would initially come up to temp. but not hold that temp. and actually begin to fall off. Best Buy had a Geek Squad rep come out. He changed $400 in parts without fixing the problem. When, at my recommendation, he finally began to do some troubleshooting, we found that one of the wires to the baking element had burned off. He cut back the wire and installed a new terminal lug. As of this week, the same old problem surfaced. Being that the unit is now out of warranty, and me being a retired industrial electrician, I shut off the supply power and opened up the back of the range. I found that not only had the same wire burned off its terminal lug but additionally, the two power wires that feed the broiler element had burned up as well.I called Samsung today. I was told that since it is out of warranty, it is basically my problem even though this very same issue occurred while it was under warranty. They offered to have a service co. come out and look at the unit, at my cost. Right. Thank you so much Samsung, for nothing. I explained to the Samsung rep that with these wires being burned up, there were only a limited number of possibilities as to the cause including undersized wiring, undersized terminal lugs, and/or poor crimp connections. Her response was only that it was out of warranty. I expressed my concern that this was a safety issue but that too seemed to fall on deaf ears. Wow. This company really sucks!!

The ice maker on this is faulty, I have read several reports after trouble with ours and it seems to be a recurring issue. It makes little to no ice, freezes up, makes a horrible sound and drips water every time you try to get ice or water. It took 5 appointments all with 6 hour windows for them to finally say it was faulty. I am expecting a reimbursement check and I will never buy this fridge again.

I have a Samsung Side By Side Refrigerator that broke but was under warrant
I have a Samsung Side By Side Refrigerator that broke but was under warranty for the sealed system. It broke in 4 years but this Samsung warranty is useless. They will not stand by and honor this warranty. They sent a repairman to my house who misdiagnosed the problem and replaced a part that didnt need replacing which I had to pay for out of pocket. He then told me since the fridge is not working that there is a problem with the sealed system which is under warranty and I wont have to pay anything for parts or labor. He then said that his company is not certified to repair sealed systems so Ill have to find a sealed system company.I notified Samsung and they sent the same repairman to my house which shows you how much of a joke this company is. I called Samsung again to tell them that their technician is not qualified for sealed systems. They then sent a different company to my house. The repairman from the second company told me that they are not qualified to do sealed system work. Finally they send a third guy to my house from a company that does fix sealed systems but he claims that my warranty does not cover labor only parts. It is clear from my paperwork and owners manual that the warranty covers both parts and labor for 5 years on the sealed system so Im not sure how he can claim that.I called Samsung and they tell me they will create a new work order which will cover parts and labor. However, when it comes time for my appointment they of course schedule it with the original company who claims not to be qualified for sealed system repairs. This is by far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced with any product or company in my life. Avoid this company if you care at all about the value of customer service. Ive given up on this repair and Im buying a new GE Fridge. Im tired of the countless hours on the phone with Samsung and the multiple visits by repairmen that claim not to be certified.

My parents took delivery of a Samsung fridge model RS267LBWP on Sept.13, 2007. It worked for 32 months and then had no cooling problem. This problem has now gone on for 26 months and 7 service calls (at considerable expense) to the Samsung authorized repair center. Their Customer Service experience has been dreadfully poor as they are unresponsive to what is really a lemon. I have tried to escalate to the Voice of the Customer Manager who referred me to the Office of the President (yes, OOP - spell it backwards and thats exactly what it means). Take this notice and warn people to never buy a Samsung product. They do a great job of marketing and advertising but youre on your own if the product ever has a problem. Sony and Apple lead the way in terms of customer service. I will stick by those brands and the excellent service that they have provided in the past.Just an addendum: A family member bought a 52 Samsung LED TV 3 years ago and now the TV is developing dead pixels in the middle of the screen. This is obviously a Samsung problem but they have no solution to the problem and wont offer one other than a new $800 screen. The end of story - buy a Samsung product if you want but dont say you werent warned of the major customer service deficiencies this company exhibits.

I too bought Samsung dishwasher, over the cooktop microwave oven and refrigerator. The refrigerator broke right away and was under store warranty so Lowe’s took care of it - otherwise I’m sure it wouldnt have been fixed by Samsung! The outside of the fridge however started to rust within the first year and neither place would help out with it so my stainless steel looks crappy! The microwave broke. I just bought a new one instead of messing with Samsung because they are a joke. Now the dishwasher isnt working and when you call you talk to idiots that run through all these questions just to tell you it is not under warranty - yeah I knew that, then that they cant help you. I’ll Google it and try to fix it myself... I will never buy Samsung again and will tell everyone I know too.

We needed a new larger refrigerator. We considered many brands with the middle (third drawer) and we got a great deal on this refrigerator paying $1,700 for a refrigerator listed at >$3,200. We were even able to get the sale price on our special order of white rather than brushed metal. We love the versatility of the middle pull-out door. The bottom freezer with its upper pull out bin is very useful.

Our over the range stainless steel MWO was installed professionally on 12/28/12. On March 2, 2015 the little plastic piece inside the stainless steel handle (now theres construction for you) to which the handle is attached to the door cracked and fell out. The small 50 cent piece cannot be purchased of course, a full handle assembly to the tune of $56 is required for this fix. No sooner does the handle arrive in the mail, that the hook-clasp spring inside the door stops functioning and now the door wont even stay shut. This model has the electronics in the door, so replacement is about half the cost of the microwave.A phone call to Samsung this morning (3/18/2015) yielded nothing but frustration. I feel like I am a pretty good Samsung customer with the Samsung Range, Samsung Refrigerator, Samsung 10 tablet, 2 Samsung smart phones and 2 Samsung Smart TVs (40 & 50) and 2 Samsung DVD Players. I would think that level of customer would command a certain amount of loyalty from the company. After climbing up to the 1st level of supervisor, my frustration wouldnt allow me chase it further, since they both did the same search for recalls or problems and essentially used the same word tracks. So now I walk the walk of how much to spend on repairs: The MWO is available at Lowes for $449. Installation/delivery is $125. Repairs: $56 for the new handle; $75 Repairman Trip; a new door costs $200. Refrigerator: The door shelf has had to be replaced to the tune of $80. Samsung looks pretty but seems to lack good construction and durability. I never had any issues with any of my GE appliances; nor those that we sold when I was in remodel construction. Guess Ill go back to GE.

UPDATE July 11, 2019 Add me to the long list of folks with NO SOLUTION fo
UPDATE July 11, 2019 Add me to the long list of folks with NO SOLUTION for freezer not cooling. I actually purchased this model on Jun 14, 2014. Freezer started to fail on July 1, 2019, literally two days after my Lowes 5 year extended warrantee expired on June 29th! Had a Samsung Certified tech come out on July 5th and tell me the problem was the compressor which was working overtime and pulling excessive amps. I took that initial diagnosis and called Samsung Customer Service. They said warrantee expired; I said NOT for the compressor which has 10 years for the part. They were to come out on July 11th to again confirm diagnosis with their own warrantee tech. But, by July 10, 2019, the freezer was at 61 degrees F and the refrigerator was at 34 degrees F. I instead called my original tech and told him that the compressor was no longer working hard to cool the refrigerator and not working at all to cool the freezer. He said that it is likely that the Freon in the coils to the freezer were clogged. And the reason the fridge was still cold is that the separate coil line to the fridge was not clogged. He said it is not likely to be fixed. Would require removing the entire coil line in the freezer section for replacement. You see there is a valve the switches between the freezer and refrigerator coils and sends Freon flowing alternating between the two. Now that the entire freezer line is clogged the switch seems to be selected only for the refrigerator. Only solution is to buy another refrigerator. I canceled the Samsung Service call with this new diagnosis. BTW, I lost about $100 in food, but was smart enough to purchase a small 5 cubic ft. freezer to save the rest. That will hold me over until a brand new fridge is delivered. I’d like to say I’m not going to buy a Samsung, but if you search on “freezer not cooling” you’ll find that all brands may have this problem….and most with NO SOLUTION.July 3, 2019 post. Bought the Samsung model RF323TEDBSR refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer drawer in June 2017. Freezer drawer is now failing evidenced by top layer of food thawed. Set the temp to -8 degrees F and no change. Ive called for repair at my expense because Lowe’s Service Advantage expired only two weeks ago (guess I should have renewed for $600). I now hope not to become one of the hundreds of reviewers here that could not get the freezer repaired even after replacing compressor, computer panel, and sensors. If the coils have failed, then Im toast. Wont know until $90 diagnosis this Friday. Before the repair person shows I plan to pull the back panel, remove power for few minutes, clean the coils and sensor area to see if that fixes the problem. But, I doubt it based on previous posts here.

We just remolded our house. We had beautiful hardwood floors installed throughout the house including the kitchen. We bought new appliances, a Samsung package including the Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave, and Dishwasher. All of the appliances are junk. The biggest kicker is that our new 6 month old refrigerator flooded our entire house. The hardwood kitchen floors are ruined and the basement is soaked in water. I was told, not to buy Samsung and I did anyway. What a mistake that was. 1000s of dollars of repair to do. Already the stress of the drying machines to suck up the water is maddening. The Samsung fridge was selected because a counter-depth was required. After much research on issues with refrigerators it was clear that an in-door ice/water dispenser causes significant service calls, so we wanted to avoid that feature. In addition to a counter-depth our space would also only allow for a 33 inch wide appliance which means the cubic feet is reduced which is fine as we dont have a need for a huge machine. The drawback with this new fridge is the internal ice-bucket design. It is very difficult to remove the bucket and not spill ice.

We bought the stainless steel, french door model, with a bottom freezer. It was quite expensive, just under $2700 with tax. The big lure for us was that it has two ice makers, one up top where the ice comes out through the door, and one inside the bottom freezer where it just falls into a bin. Well, shortly after the warranty expired, the bottom icemaker stopped working. We called in a Samsung approved repairman and the cost to fix the icemaker was $448! WOW! We did not have it repaired, because we thought the cost of the repair was outrageous. Also, the remaining working icemaker (the top one), when set to dispense cubed ice, spits out some cubes and a LOT of bits & pieces of ice. Note: We do NOT go back and forth between cubed and crushed on the ice selection; it stays at cubed all the time. We probably will not ever buy Samsung appliances again.

I bought a Samsung convection oven about 1 year. At day of delivery I found a big scratch and told the delivery man about it. He told me to call store next day because they would be closed so I did. They fix it 2 months later. Now having the stove for about 3 week it cook great just as advertised. Now 4 weeks it cook like my old one. This oven was not cooking the way it was sold and advertised so I call and had it worked on and it did not do anything about the way I cook.To make a long story told I had it worked on 7 times and to this day it was going to be exchanged. That told me if I had the problem 4 time it would be switched out. That was a lie and am very upset so I have your product that works worse than my old one. It should cook to panda bottom, the same without flipping the food. So Samsung I need my money back or a new oven that will last longer than three weeks. Model number is ne595roabs. Samsung refused to dispatch a technician unless I agreed to pay for the call BECAUSE its normal! Thats right, making approx 400 loud clicks per hour is NORMAL. This is the worst appliance and service I have ever experienced. Called HD and they said theres nothing we can do. Went to HD store and played them a video I took of my new Samsung range. We purchased a set of Samsung appliances at Best Buy as part of a kitchen suite. The dishwasher that came with it (400 series) was absolute garbage. It would not clean the dishes and was displaying error codes. The dishes were more dirty coming out than going in. After a LOT of arguing, and technicians coming out, Samsung agreed to refund us for the dishwasher. We went back to Best Buy and bought the supposedly new and improved version DW80F800UWS with storm wash. It seemed better, but now a few months later were having the same issues again. Now its saying theres a 5E error which is a kinked drain hose. Checked all the hoses and nothing kinked. Technician came out and said machine is fine...then whats the error code for?? I would also be interested in a class action lawsuit as this has been well over a year of going back and forth with Samsung to get a dishwasher that actually washes dishes! Better off washing dishes by hand. Particles stuck to dishes and dirty water sitting on the top of the mugs and bowls. Technician also informed us that the garbage disposal is made of plastic and frequently breaks. My 20 year old Kenmore worked 20 times better than this technologically advanced pile of garbage. Do not buy a samsung dishwasher unless you want a headache to deal with. Their customer service is horrible, theyre rude and claim theyve never heard of any of these issues.

We purchased this high end very pricey fridge, a high end matching gas range and dishwasher so we spent a pretty decent amount of money. The set was ordered from a local appliance store and was NOT a scratch & dent product. While from a distance the fridge looks fantastic, dont look too close. Under the factory packaging (plastic protective packaging & cardboard was not damaged at all) there were numerous scratches and a small dent in the upper left door. I would expect a new expensive appliance such as this would not arrive in this condition. The appliance store is closing and unable to order a new refrigerator or even just a new door. I dont need an entire new fridge, just an undamaged door.Samsung feels it is our problem and refused to do anything about it. While waiting on hold the recorded message spoke of their commitment to customer service. Well we didnt get that, in fact just the opposite. Interesting is that we really like Samsung and have always promoted their products. This is the first issue weve had and they failed us. I would not recommend this product due to how fragile it seems to be and Samsung will not make it right. I have a beautiful new kitchen with very nice high end Samsung appliances, except for the scratched and dented fridge. Is this really what I waited for all these years? Extremely disappointed. How hard would it be to replace my door? Any other appliance store would have sent it back to Samsung and requested a replacement from Samsung. Why cant Samsung just do that for me?Thanks alot Samsung. Also, I submitted this same review on Samsungs site and guess what? They wont post it.

I purchased a new Samsung dishwasher in May, 2017. In August, 2018, the unit broke - would not drain and then the circuit board fried. Initially, Samsung said they would issue a warranty allowance (even though it was 2 months beyond the warranty date) and would arrange for service or provide a new unit. After 5 days, during which they failed to find a technician, they decided they would not provide any help or compensation - I was out of luck. What kind of company is this that they sell people a product costing hundreds of dollars, it breaks after a year and thats it?! Every service person I have spoken to has remarked that Samsung DWs are extremely poorly made and designed and the advice I got was to not fix it and go buy a Bosch instead. Between multiple service calls at my request and the new unit, Im out well over $1000. I hope somebody organizes a class action lawsuit.

I should have done my homework before installed this almost 60 LB waste of space over our stove. Shortly a year after owning it, it began beeping in the night. What we then found was the dreaded SE code had begun -- one only needs to Google it to learn all they need. Thankfully, there are actually YouTube videos showing how other consumers had to save their microwaves from this product failure...so we did it as well, and it worked...for about two months. And then the microwave stopped working entirely. What a waste of several hundred dollars! Shameful they just didnt stand by their products and recall and correct the issue.DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE!!

About 3 years ago, I bought a 4-door Samsung refrigerator, along with a new gas stove and microwave. The refrigerator started buzzing. Doing some research, I found that this is a fairly common issue. You could see ice starting to form out of the vents of the twin cooler. Repairman came out and replaced the part with a new MODIFIED part. I capitalize the word modified because if there werent any issues with the original part, then why are replacement parts being modified? Talking with Samsung, they refuse to acknowledge that there is a severe design flaw, and essentially leave their customers out to dry by making us pay to fix something because of a design flaw.Fast forward to now (only a few months after the part replacement), and it is BUZZING AGAIN!!! I am livid. Samsung, once again, is useless in assisting their customers. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT EVER BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!! Never before has my satisfaction with a company taken such a turn. I had a fabulous experience with a Samsung TV I had bought many years ago and developed a loyalty, which of course now has gone to hell in a hand basket. Shame on Samsung. Very unimpressed.

This is so unfair for the companies to be selling this piece of crap, I just recently bought a Samsung Double Oven Gas Range and it is more of a thin metal than stainless steel. Not even my cooking pots looks this bad or get scratch like this range. The same day of installation it got lots of scratches that cant be taken off. Out of nowhere scratches keeps appearing because of daily use. If you pass your fingernails it will leave scratches too and cant take them off. Sucks. Paid almost $3,000 and this is my 2nd week with it. It is a very attractive stove but you cant even get too close just to prevent from getting more scratches or else. Please if anyone knows is there anything out there that can prevent scratches let me know, thanks.

Samsung Microwave SMH8165ST - 1 mo ago a potato caught fire on the baked potato setting. Samsung stated I was out of warranty because microwave was purchased 2 yrs ago. I refused an out of pocket service call. Samsung called back 1 wk later asked about any personal or property damage & asked if I would want someone to come out free of charge to repair or replace (if irreparable). After 3 repair visits (not counting the 4 appts that were cancelled/rescheduled after the 2 hr wait EACH TIME). Samsung stated the repair guy had to come out again to troubleshoot w/ a Samsung engineer on the phone. I explained that the repair guy did that @ the last appt, Samsung stated there was no record of it. I also stated that I was aware of the recall involving buttons on the panel sticking. They said I had to make another appt. I refused, spoke to another 2 managers & after 55 min on the phone was offered $130 voucher/check. I was told that was what they could offer w depreciation on the microwave for the last 2 yrs. AND that the microwave costs about $190, so it wasnt so bad. The microwave costs $240 plus. I am glad I do not have to deal w/ them & their incompetent repair outsourcing. I am also glad my children werent the ones using the microwave when the fire occurred. I WILL NEVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN. Just disgusted.

This is a well known issue and Samsung even put out a service bulletin but they want me to take the cost for a design flaw. We bought our refrigerator about 2 years ago from Lowes. We too were told they were good refrigerators. Within 6 months, the seal around the freezer came loose and the glass on the meat door cracked. We had to pay for the meat door but the seal was under warranty. Then we kept getting water under the meat tray and sometimes it would be a thick sheet of ice. We thought we were opening the door too much or something. Then one day it started making this loud grumbling sound, like it was going to rattle right out the door. Afraid it would get ruined we turned it off and called a repairman. He had just recently had the same problem with another customer so knew right away what the problem was.The coils, fan, and behind the whole back cover was all ice. The drain was also frozen so the water was running into the bottom of the meat drawer. He had to blow dry it to get the back cover off, then blow dry the drain and the coils. That was a month ago. Today we had to call him back. He again had to thaw out the back panel and the upper right fan had over an inch of ice around it. He said he thought the fan and coils were too far away from the heating element to efficiently thaw the ice and it just builds up. Having read these concerns of others regarding the same problems, I think Samsung has the responsibility to figure out a way to resolve this problem. We have all paid too much money on what we thought would be a quality product to only pay out more for repairmen who tells me this will be a recurring problem.

We purchased a set of Samsung appliance four years ago. After two years our ice maker was out of order. Beside that several interior components of our fridge are cracked, chipped and glued and zip tied due to how FRAGILE it is. After that the mother board of our range was out of order too. Called for service and $200 later was up and running. But not too long after the largest electric burner stopped working. As of today our dishwasher is COMPLETELY broken. To anyone reading this, please dont assume our family was rough with our appliance leading to this kind of issues. We always took good care of them and not only that but my wife and I both work in the food industry and know how to handle kitchen appliance commercial/residential. Weve warning anyone we know to not commit the same mistake we committed. Hope you would do the same. Good luck with your choice.

I purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator (RF266ABRS/XAA) just a few years ago. It was very expensive. Over the past few years, we have noticed our food has gone bad quickly and the temperature in the refrigerator was not what the computer panel said. About 2 months ago, the entire refrigerator died. Both the freezer and refrigerator died. We called Samsung, who told us to call a local repair company. That was done. When the repair company showed up, they said that in all their years in business, they had never seen such a young refrigerator have all the internal workings die so quickly. Samsung said, to be able to repair under warranty, they needed the original receipt. I did my part and found the receipt. After 10 days time and 3 weeks without a refrigerator, the repair company was able to order the parts from Samsung. The only problem was, Samsung was having technical difficulties and couldnt send out the parts for the refrigerator. We waited another 2 weeks to get the refrigerator parts from Samsung. Once the parts came in, the repair company came out and fixed all the inner parts of the refrigerator. Two weeks later, the entire machine is not working again. There is water on the floor. The entire machine is up to 70 degrees. The repair company is coming back again to see if they can see what is going on this time. I called Samsung. I explained what has been going on and that this machine is so new. They said it isnt under the 1 year warranty and that all repairs are my responsibility. Their customer service was appalling. Clearly, this model, as it has been noted in a class action lawsuit in New Jersey, is a lemon. The coiling system was bad from their creation. Samsung, which makes billions of dollars a year, cannot comprehend the problems caused to consumers who buy a lemon refrigerator and are not willing to accept the consequences to producing a less than quality product. I sit here with a broken fridge once again, no help from Samsung and spoiled food. I wont be purchasing any Samsung products forever! Do not purchase a Samsung refrigerator. No matter what you read on any website. They are NOT quality refrigerators and youll end up like me sitting in your kitchen with spoiled food for the 5th time! My apologies, but I had higher hopes for Samsung.

Leaks again so 2nd time gets same procedure not to mention puts a slight crack on panel, leaks again. 3rd time technician? Blame the 2nd one for his workmanship. And reckons nothing wrong? Yet water? Told him not happy he puts in a report saying nothing wrong? Goes to apparently case manager Samsung. Telling me they cant do anything, yet I have 10 year concierge warranty and if they get someone else out I have to pay? I don’t think so.And how many times do I have to them out because of their fault in appliance, which was also stated by the technician that the new model fridges has the exact problem as my fridge does... I have 20 year old LG fridge and never had one problem. If I wanted a fridge that leaks water I would buy one. So why are Samsung making fridges with the same problem and selling them? Rectify the problem. And you will have happy customers. Still want to know so what are they going to do about my fridge… Angry customer.

THEN - 14 months later turned on the oven, there was sparks and it blew the breaker. No warranty and with research found that it was common to lose a oven element ever so often but only if you use the oven, which we do every 10 to 14 days. We have a 3 door French door refrigerator with the ice maker in the top and bottom (thru the door dispenser). We have had it for 5-6 years and a few months after buying it it stopping producing full pieces of ice, and the ice it dispenses is all broken. This has always been frustrating but I have learned to deal with it. Then shortly after the warranty expired, it stopped making ice and it appears to just be freezing over. The ice bucket keeps freezing over making it difficult to remove it and defrost, Then, I was no longer able to remove the ice bucket. I called about getting it repaired and the cost was very high and they could not warrant the repair due to this being an issue. I had called Samsung about this and at the time they told me there was no issues reported with the ice maker. I have contacted other repair companies and they wont even work on them since they know it wont stay working. We bought our Samsung refrigerator in Feb. 2013. Ice maker has never worked. I called Samsung and went through the trouble shoot steps twice. It never worked. The second technician I talked to said the first one didnt know what he was talking about. I called them again; they sent out a technician. They had to send them out of course while we were both at work. My husband took off to be able to meet him there. He called and said he wasnt going to be able to make it and told me to tell my husband to go back to work. I called his dispatcher; he came out anyway. He told my husband to be sure and buy the extended warranty! WHY DIDNT WE LISTEN? We had to replace the ice maker. Mind you it was a brand new $1,400 refrigerator, and the ice maker never worked! Now the flap on the front of the door where the ice comes out will not close, and air gets up into the ice maker and it freezes then wont come out of the door. So we have to manually shut the flap so ice wont freeze. I called Samsung again. They are sending a technician from some place I have never heard of and of course, one of us has to take off work again to have our brand new refrigerator fixed! I will never again buy another Samsung product and will let everyone know about my bad experience with Samsung. Why didnt I read this page before buying a Samsung product!

We bought a Samsung stove 5 weeks ago, and purchased the 5 yr extended warranty. We were told this would ensure quick response on appliance issues. It has worked well for 5 weeks. Last week while baking @ 350, we heard something crackling and opened the oven to find the inside door glass had completely spider-cracked and glass fell everywhere the inside of the oven. Since the stove was only 5 weeks old and we had the 5 yr extended warranty, a simple door replacement would solve the issue.15 phone calls (store, 3rd-party service company, Samsung) and several days later we are frustrated. The first roadblock was getting someone to arrange a service call. After sending a copy of the store receipt, there was more delay while the 3rd party service company had Samsung validated the receipt - seriously? Finally they call to dispatch a tech, and was told they are coming to access and take a picture to evaluate the need. I offered to take the picture and email it, and again indicated that replacing the oven door would solve the issue. So today, the 3rd party company called saying Tech was on the way. Tech shows up (no part), takes a picture and notes yes, the door glass is defective and leaves. Its now 8 days and counting with no functioning oven, and no ETA. Ive reached out to the Lowes store Manager (who has been very helpful, but also hamstrung by the same bureaucracy with 3rd party maintenance company & Samsung procedures). While I like the 2 Samsung appliances I own, given this first customer service experience, I would not purchase another Samsung appliance. We all know Appliances will break - but if one cant get a NEW appliance serviced even with the 5 yr extended warranty... Purchase from a different brand that supports good warranty service.

Samsung top freezer RT21M62135R, nominally 21 cubic feet, is fairly capacious. Unfortunately the lighting in the refrigerator section is front mounted and everything in the rear disappears into the shadows - keep a flashlight handy. The freezer also has a light, something my prior refrigerator did not have. I really like the slide and reach shelf for deli type items - very convenient. The door storage is a bit inflexible. I ordered the model without an ice maker, they shipped it to me anyway despite my attempt to stop it, which they ignored (customer service in the US is impossible to contact - they switched me to Indonesia (sic)! (Consider that I bought this model for energy efficiency, then they ship something I do not want - pure waste.) Even though they took the door off, the delivery service still managed to put eight dents in the door - too easy to dent.

The keypad never worked great, either, but after about 5 years it may be, it certain buttons became harder to push, and eventually some buttons (and then almost all buttons) stopped working, entirely.Long story short, given another Samsung should have a similarly mounting system, I took a shot and attempted to order another Samsung (yes I know). Well, get this, I order it from Lowes and after multiple bad delivery dates from the Samsung distributor, I ended up having to cancel my order. Yes, even Samsungs own delivery of their microwaves turned out to be a nightmare. That said, I gave up and chose a Whirlpool that looks great, has great review, has a blue readout that match my Samsung stoves blue readout (that was a big deal, btw), and it has good reliability ratings according to Consumer Reports. All in all - Id say the moral of the story here, is to just avoid Samsung microwaves.

As per my experience, I would like to suggest do not buy Samsung Refrigerator. This customer support is worst. I purchased side-by-side model #RS263TDWP/XAA01 in July of 2013 for $1379 from Sears. We have been quite happy with it until recently when the upper shelves were not getting cold (70 degree temp reading; the bottom at 46-55 degrees). There was some recent unusual noises in the fridge prior but subsided; phone tech suggested leveling but it is level. The doors close and are aligned properly. That was not the problem.Tech was sent to service the refrigerator and after electronically testing the unit announced it was the defrost sensor that was out (DA32-00006W). Obviously we had to replace- BUT NOT COVERED!!! The 5 year warranty is on the sealed refrigeration unit only not including the electronics needed to operate. REALLY!!?? Samsung is an electronic based company and this happens? After 1.5 years, an electronic part goes out and I have to pay for this $28 part and $220 labor!!? And to make matters worse, the tech advised this part will last longer than the original one that was installed planned obsolescence?! How long is this part going to last? I have a 20 year old Kenmore that has never had a service call!I have purchased smaller Samsung electronics with no issues but really am concerned about this appliance and any other major appliance that I will be in the market for in the future. After 3 emails explaining this situation, I recd a Thank You and Hope we helped...no help only offers of future advertisements. After 40 minutes holding on the phone, did talk to a nice agent who noted my frustrations...only to recv another email the next day - that it is not covered. No Samsung appliances for me!

Please do not purchase this refrigerator. I purchased this refrigerator and did not have it for two years before the ice maker went out, which was the start of the problems. I called Samsung for repair and they sent a repair tech out and he replaced the front panel with the touch buttons. I asked, would that cause the ice maker to stop functioning? And he said yes. So it began to make ice for about 6 months then the ice maker stop making ice again along with the freezer going out. So, I called Samsung again and they sent another repair tech out and he replaced the motherboard which did not fix the issue. So I called Samsung again and they sent out another repair tech this time. He went into the freezer and replaced a small cable and told me that it should be fine for 24 to 48 hrs. So, this did not fix the problem which completely made me upset with the refrigerator and regret ever buying Samsung brand and will never purchase another product other than a cell phone. Clearly, they need to get out of the refrigerator business.

Had the oven on 350 degrees and was ready to put my banana bread in the oven when I heard a loud hissing and then an even larger pop and then an even larger burst of flames. My husband cut the stove off from the electrical box and was able to put the fire out, but the electrical odor was sickening for days. I tried to call the repair number on my stove, but it had been disconnected. I have been cooking for 45 years and never had a stove to catch on fire. I am so disappointed in Samsung. I dont have the money to replace the stove, so I am using an electric skillet and crock pot to make our meals. What a pain. After reading many complaints about the other problems with this stove I am lucky my ovens glass didnt blow out while in the self cleaning mode or catch fire when we were not in the house or even worse the burner would not turn off.

The white painted ring on the one burner totally melted and there are rings from the pan I was using on the same burner. I cooked eggs, not really high temp, and it destroyed the top of the glass. I used one of the back burners only for that to look melted now also. I havent gone back to the store yet, but plan on doing so. Have had the stove for EIGHT weeks and used twice!

I purchased a New Samsung RS261 refrigerator and just out of warranty, the ice maker broke. I am pretty good at repairs and research so after two days with online Samsung support, they recommended to call for service. I could not find anything online to help myself take care of the problem, so I called a local company that I have used in the past. I could not use this company because you have to be a special Samsung repair service, which Samsung only gave me two companies to choose from. They sent out the email service request, which after days, I had no response so I called. I called on a Thursday to that company and received a message that they were closed for the next 5 days for Labor Day. I have never heard of a company that is service-orientated close that many days. I then called the second company, which came out the following Thursday. I had given the information for what was wrong and they brought out the wrong part and needed to order the new one. Two weeks later, they came out and fixed the problem with a total work time of 20 minutes combined for both stops and $230.00 later, which was a good portion for what I paid for the fridge. After I called Samsung and complained about the first company, they referred me to the second. I still received a call three weeks after the incident that a tech from the first company was at my door to look at the refrigerator. What? Needless to say, I will not purchase another Samsung knowing that I dont have a choice to go with a service center of my choosing. My opinion: choose a product that can be serviced by any appliance center of your choosing.

We bought a Samsung Stove Top/Oven last September. On July 31st, a regulator malfunctioned which prevents the gas from turning off. We immediately called Samsung, which (after several phone calls) said that they would give a full refund (instead of paying for the repair). That was their choice, not ours. After two days with no response from Samsung customer service, I called back and (after 40 minutes of hold time... which has been a pretty standard amount of time to wait) I was told my picture of the receipt didnt capture the whole receipt and was asked if I could take it again. I did, sent it into the same email I sent the first and heard nothing for 2 days. I called and (after 40 minutes of hold time) they told me they didnt get it. I resent it and then it was verbally confirmed that they received it and it was adequate. We heard nothing for a day or two and I called back and (after 40 minutes of hold time) they told me it was in process. I explained that we were without an oven and they assured me they understood. Ive called back every 2 or 3 days for a month... always given the same promise that today, someone will call me/email me/contact me which hasnt happened. In one month of dealing with their customer service I have only received one phone call or email from Samsung. Every contact was initiated by me and every email has gone unanswered--even when I request and demand an answer. on August 17th I was told that my refund request was rejected because my receipt was not a valid bill of sale because it didnt have all of the required information (that is, the model number and name of the stove). This was the only receipt I was given, so I called the local store. They sent me some screen shots of all the information they had, which I forwarded to the emails provided to me by Samsung. In the 12 days since, I still have not heard anything from Samsung. They have not called back (as they said they would), they have not answered an email (which they said they will). If I call, I cannot speak to the same person I spoke to the day before, but must listen as this new person assures me they are on my side and want me to get my refund and assure me they will call me back (which NEVER HAPPENS). When I ask to speak to a supervisor (or executive customer service) I wait for 40 minutes and still get zero help. What a COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT the oven has been and what a complete and total mess their customer service has been.

I built my new home in September of 2020. I purchased new appliances the Samsung hub refrigerator as well as the black stainless steel gas duo smart oven. After having and using the stove for about 11 months I notice that there were areas where the appliance was peeling. I was confused as to why stainless steel was peeling only to find out that the black stainless steel is a layer of paint. I reached out to Samsung as well as Best Buy because I did purchase the extended warranties only to be told that this was a cosmetic issue and there was nothing that they could do about it. After being told this from both parties I was devastated. I have spent 7k on these appliances and theyre starting to look like crap. It has come to my knowledge that this is a common problem and there are a ton of consumers in the same boat as me. Samsung should be ashamed of its business practices. It is obvious that the craftsmanship of their black stainless steel is not up to par. As a consumer that works hard for my money what makes you think that I would pay so much for a product that starts to peel within a year of having it. As a consumer there was no disclosure of any indication that that could/would be the case. Otherwise I would have just opted for the regular stainless steel and not the black stainless steel. It is mind-boggling that Samsung treats their consumers this way after we send our hard-earned money to only end up with defective products that they are not willing to replace.

This model I have was the worst engineered product that has been seen on the market. Samsungs have all the bells and whistles, great novel my useful designs but the quality is not up to the price asked. The repairman said they tried for three years to fix the ice buildup problem and finally got it right after three years. I find that I still see ice, though it has not stopped cooling but it feels like skating on thin ice and that it will break again at any given moment. JCPenney now has appliances and they are phasing out selling Samsung. The enameled on their stoves is so thin. As is the paint on the refrigerator. I wont buy this brand again. The new features are always enticing with this brand but dont fall for it. By the way read about the problems And complaints before you read the glowing reviews about any appliance and always buy the extended warranty if you cant afford a big repair bill visit. Most appliances the repair person told me appliances need a repair in 1 1/2 years to 3 years. They just dont make them like they use to. And dont think high end and huge price is also an indication of quality, it just may be a status brand.

We purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator in 2012 for a kitchen renovation at a cost of approximately $2200.00. My husband found a puddle of water one morning and after resetting the computer several times, the freezer was starting to melt items and the fridge section was 65 degrees. Everything was thrown away and a repairman was called. Two local repairman refused to work on a Samsung product. I had to call a Samsung certified repairman. While cleaning out the freezer I found this little light looking item with wires coming out of each side, it was no bigger than my little finger. When the certified technician got there, I immediately showed him the part that I found in the freezer drawer. He said, I cant fix this refrigerator. The part that fell off was from the top of the freezer ceiling inside the pull out drawer and it was dislodged from the wiring harness that was UP inside the fridge and there was no way to fix it. I asked how much I owed him and he said $75.00. I paid it but 75.00 for less than a 5 minute visit was terrible. Anyway, he left his card and I told him I didnt need it, because I would NEVER have another Samsung appliance. This is a design flaw with Samsung that they could easily fix and unfortunately its on all Samsung refrigerators. We asked our local repairman what he would recommend and he said GE, LG or Whirlpool. We looked at Lowes and all Samsung products had the little item on the top of the freezer ceiling so that if something bumps it, the fridge cannot be fixed. Our Whirlpool has the same item on the back wall of the freezer so that NOTHING can bump it. Losing a 2200.00 6 year old fridge is terrible... customer service was terrible and knowing the problem with the fridge and not fixing it tells me that Samsung is only interested in making money on the sales and ensuring that their refrigerators dont last. Poor design... poor appliances. Samsung stick to phones please.

All in all, they have a Samsung service company come to my home, but only after providing a very short notice and stating we must be home or the service will be void. Service rep comes and claims that its physical damage and is not covered by Samsung. Well hello! It melted! Worst of all, when the repair person came the first time he told me that Samsung knows this is a problem with their design and has just decided to screw the customers who already purchased the product and wait and see if they will call for repairs. I am an educated consumer who did my research but this fridge is absolute junk. Samsung should stand behind their products and less than 2 years for a $5000 is obscene. After 3 years of very light use, around June 2013, my Samsung microwave stopped suddenly giving a different beep. All buttons of the keypad were inoperable. Nothing of this mentioned in the user manual. I called service engineer & he too had no idea about the error code. He asked us to replace the keypad unit but did not return after that. I just chanced to look for the solution of the problem in net & to my disbelief exactly the same problem is faced by so many all around the world and the Samsung guys have found a way to earn more bucks on pretext of repairing their own manufacturing defect. Shame on them.
