In less than a year, our refrigerator began having problems. The cooling fan begins making a noise as the ice builds up around it until the ice stops the fan from spinning. At this point the fridge stops cooling. The fix involves taking everything out of the fridge, opening up the back, and using a hair dryer to melt the ice. This takes approx 45 min to complete. The ice will continue to build up and the process must be repeated every 2-3 months. In addition, the ice maker is poorly built. The water comes out at a weird angle and most people who use it for the first few times end up hitting the side of their cup and water goes everywhere. The ice also comes out all over the place and misses the cup, ending up all over the floor. The ice maker itself also began to drip water, requiring paper towels set below it that need to be replaced several times a day. Based on a video online I just watch, this may be caused from the seal at the base of the ice maker. I am currently testing out a fix. To top things off, the ice will freeze together inside the ice maker, creating a huge ice dam. Its fun to find out this has happened when you have guests over only to find out you dont have any ice ready for them.Overall, this product is a huge disappointment and I do not recommend a Samsung refrigerator to anyone in the market. If you are reading this you probably have realized how many complaints there are, and they STILL HAVE NOT FIXED THE ISSUES WITH THE NEWER MODELS!!!

In 2011 we purchased a Samsung model # DMT800RHS dishwasher. It required 2 service calls within the 1st year: once because we had to keep flipping the breaker to get it to turn on and once for a problem with the control panel. The racks are held together with plastic clips. The top rack has two positions. After only 2 years, many of the plastic clips are broken, and now the rack will not stay in the up position. One of the rungs (which is also held together with plastic clips) will not stay in the upright position because of the broken clips. We also purchased an electric range and French door refrigerator. We have had one service call on the range. So far the only appliance that has not needed service is the refrigerator. I would not recommend Samsung appliances at all. And I will absolutely never purchase a Samsung again.

French door bottom freezer with middle draw. Icemaker overflows, appliance repair company said there is no fix. Samsung danced around for weeks before we contacted the attorney general for a resolution. Finally Home Depot forced Samsung to buy back this paperweight. Nothing was happening until we took steps with the AG and they contacted Home Depot whom we bought this from. Home Depot was extraordinary in helping to get our refund.

We bought a Samsung dishwasher (Model # DW80K705045) in March 2017 from Lowes, after 15 years with a Bosch. Looking back now we should have done our research. We would have seen all the bad reviews. Christmas Eve the dishwasher went into failure mode. “Leak in System”. Within a few days the dishwasher worked again but 3 days later the same thing happened. It took 12 days for a repairman to come and determine the problem. We were told it would be a huge job that required a full day, the dishwasher motor would have to be rebuilt on my kitchen floor, and no guarantees that the repair would work. This repair will require my husband to take a day off from work. Fast forward to 3/20 and we still do not have the part. According to Lowe’s the part has been in for 2 weeks now and we have not been able to schedule a repair. We are unable to use a different repair company because this is the one Lowe’s contracts out to. The dishwasher can only be run with few dishes and on short cycle. We don’t know when it will go out again. Numerous calls to Lowe’s and Samsung have gone nowhere. Neither company will back up the product. Samsung will not replace the dishwasher until 2 attempts to fix it have been made. Lowes won’t offer a refund because we have to go through Warranty service for the first year of owning the product. The Warranty is through Samsung. Totally disgusted and frustrated.

RSG257AARS - I bought a higher-end refrigerator a few years ago. Ive already had 2 shelves break as well as the freezer door handle that keeps popping off. I was told by Samsung Executive Accommodation Customer Support that its considered normal physical damage and therefore no accommodation would be granted (for the handle). I asked him to affirm that he was essentially saying that Samsung considers it normal for a refrigerator door to pop off just 3 years after purchase, and incredulously he did. Samsung has lost a loyal consumer of higher-end appliances.

I bought this Samsung refrigerator and in less than 6 months I had a loud noise coming from the freezer. I had purchased the extended warranty, so I called and the repairman came out and said ice had built up and he used a hair dryer. The same thing happened again and he came out and did the same thing. Now, I am having an ice-maker problem. This refrigerator has given me nothing but problems. I will never again buy a Samsung refrigerator. I have been reading that most of their refrigerators have problems. I will advise my friends and family not to buy these refrigerators.

Its a hunk of junk, bought in late January 2011. Its the same model as everyone else and the same life expectancy. My story is even worse. I bought it for $400 in Canada + paid $100 for install. Door spring broke at 1 year 10 months old. It was out of warranty and I couldnt fix it myself, so it cost $160 for someone to come diagnose and then fix it. So $660 was the price tag. Then it died 2 months later. There was no error code like everyone else, just went dead. It could be something simple but, after reading this list of complaints, I am throwing it. And I bought a new LG instead. I wont buy a Samsung appliance again. I got a 5-year extended warranty this time, $700 all in, including installation. That means in two years, Ive spent $1400 on OTR microwaves! How insane!

Originally posted earlier this month. Followed Samsungs advice and defrosted refrigerator for 36 hours, with fan blowing on it. Checked to make sure all ice buildup had cleared. Turned on, ran fine, icemaker even working again. Now several days later, ice maker is stopping and probably means another complete defrost. Do not buy Samsung Refrigerators, ITS ALL OVER THE INTERNET ABOUT HOW PEOPLE ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEM WITH ICING UP AND NOISE. They dont seem to have a fix. Terrible, 5 years old $2000+ refrigerator and nothing but problems.Updated on 06/16/2018: I have contacted Samsung and searched the web. My 5 yr old refrigerator keeps freezing up and the fan starts making a loud noise. Only resolution Samsung has offered is to defrost the refrigerator. Really, its a self defrosting, yet now we have to unload and let it thaw out 2-3 times a year. This problem with their refrigerators is noted by numerous people on the internet, yet Samsung offers no remedy and it appears this problem occurs with many of their refrigerators going back several years. This company is selling numerous refrigerators and should fix the problem or offer real solution.

We have had the stove 4 months!! Service tech sent pics. Samsung refused to cover it under warranty. There is no indications that anything was dropped on it. They just want money and dont want to deal with customers. We have a Samsung Fridge, Washer and cell phones. Wish I never would have purchased any of their products! I bought a new Samsung 33 in. W 17.5 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator at Home Depot and within the first year it started leaking. As it was still under warranty I called to have someone look at it. Unbeknownst to me, Samsung does not service my area, despite living only a few miles from the Home Depot where I bought it. Surprisingly, Samsung offered me a refund in lieu of service. While I would have preferred service on the fridge, I saw that this a common problem and there is a class action lawsuit against Samsung for this fridge. As well, I didn’t want a fridge with a defunct warranty. So, I accepted their offer for a refund and had them come pick up my fridge, buying a new one out of pocket to replace it.Six weeks and 50 phone calls later I am yet to see any refund, only a trail of multiple ticket numbers and crossed wires. This process has truly been the most inefficient, contradicting, and burdensome experience I have had with a company in my thirty plus years. Each person has told me something different and no comprehensive steps have been given. At one point recently, I was told that I was going to get an exchange. Well, I already bought a new fridge to replace the one they took and who would want a fridge with all these issues, that can’t be warrantied, plus that’s not what I had been told the entire time. So now I am out $1000 buying a replacement fridge and have no signs of being reimbursed. Many people are struggling with bills and for one of the largest corporations in the world to take advantage of their consumers in this way is truly sickening to me. I can’t imagine what a struggling family would do in this situation, having to spend hours on the phone, and hundreds of dollars out of pocket, not knowing if this corporation just completely screwed them over. While I wait to see if I get a refund or if it’s theft, I can only advise other consumers to stay far away from any Samsung appliance purchase. I advise any retailers to reconsider selling their products, or at the least, warn your consumers that Samsung doesn’t service many major metropolitan areas – even if it’s right by the store it came from. Lastly, I would like to tell Samsung that you can do a lot better. I am sure you try to break a lot people through this process, hoping they will just give up, as most of us don’t have time during our day to call up a 1-800 number and explain to a new person what the situation is, every couple of days, for weeks on end. I am beyond disappointed with this process and I will never purchase nor recommend any of your products or services.

Bought a new samsung side by side new at Lowes. It is 11 months old and still under warranty and extended warranty. Started making ticking noise like the fan is hitting against something 3 months ago. Samsungs response is that it is overloaded/over packed and I should unload and defrost. This works for a couple of weeks, then it is the same. I do not load this any more full than my previous Whirlpool side by side or GE before that. Neither previous unit quit working, just moved to larger unit and this time to a stainless. Went with Samsung because it was on sale for same price as Whirlpool but I got a Energy star rebate because of its energy efficiency. If I had read reviews first I would not have bought it. Now I read that Samsung is exiting the American market because we expect them to last too long. A counterpart at work had same issue with identical unit he bought 3 months earlier at Best Buy. He had to threaten Best Buy with legal action before they finally replaced it with more expensive unit (he paid difference). I will never again buy a Samsung product. I will call Lowes tonight and they have always backed their products well for me.

Samsung claims that both appliances were damaged by me and refused to repair or replace either one even though they are both within the warranty window. Samsung RF263 French Door Refrigerator - It is an expensive piece of garbag
Samsung RF263 French Door Refrigerator - It is an expensive piece of garbage. The ice maker started frosting up like a freezer from the 50s/60s a little over a year after purchase. The door bins are cracked and held together with duct tape. Now it has stopped cooling completely. After reading and trying to determine the root cause, it is clear that Samsung makes inferior refrigerators, the number of complaints are incredible. Lets not forget about their washing machines blowing up as well. Maybe, as one reviewer state, its time for a class action suit. I m sure consumers initially thought purchasing a Samsung refrigerator would be a good, safe, reliable purchase, evidently a lot of us were totally wrong and subsequently disappointed.

I refuse to give Samsung any further business due to their lack of customer service and support. I purchased a refrigerator from Lowes and the water dispenser produces foul odor and taste, rendered undrinkable. Ive had 4 service calls to fix problem and each technician visit had a different story as to why it occurs. However it reoccurs in less than a year. This makes no sense at all since our house is on a full-house water softener and filtration system. Now Samsung will not admit or take ownership of the fact their this model is faulty. Support will only issue another service visit at my cost for parts and labor which does not resolve any issues. Samsung French Door Refrigerator Stainless Steel Energy Star model RFG238AARS.

I bought a Samsung microwave (next to top of the line) and within a year it would not heat. The store I bought it at graciously replaced it. I added money to it and purchased the top of the line one - again a Samsung. In January the door bracket broke and my husband and I spent a day finding the right bracket on the internet. It was a $10 part and after finding schematics on the internet on how to replace it he was able to replace it. Otherwise it would have been at least a $125 repair call. It will be 2 years in July since we purchased this top of the line Samsung microwave and this one is not working. I detected a burning wire smell this morning in my kitchen and could not figure out where it was coming from till I opened my microwave to heat my tea and the light did not come on and the control panel was not lit. Thats when I realized that the burning wire smell was coming from the microwave. Really? Two Samsung microwaves within 3 years. I have sent Samsung an email asking for some kind of financial reimbursement to purchase another microwave because I will never purchase another Samsung microwave. I doubt that a reimbursement is going to happen. But I will keep all of you in the loop.

We purchased a side by side refrigerator from Lowes in Oct. 2012. Last year the refrigerator side build up ice and it stopped cooling. We had to purchase an extended warranty ($388.95) and have a subcontractor come out and repair it. At the time he said it was a known issue and more than likely it would happen again. Sure enough 10 months later we are having the same issue. A different subcontractor came out today and had to order the parts. This service tech said it was a known issue with Samsung refrigerators and more than likely it would happen again. I called the extended warranty Samsung Protection Plus and was told the part would only be guaranteed for 30 days and referred me to the main Samsung customer service. I spent over an hour on the phone, mostly on hold only to be told by the Executive Customer Relations Department that there is nothing they can do for me. The only way we can have repairs covered is to purchase another extended warranty (another $388.95). I will never purchase another appliance from Samsung.

Our experience with the Samsung refrigerator (French doors, bottom freezer, ice/water in door) has been a big disappointment. The ice-maker never worked well - the ice gets wet then freezes over. The refrigerator coils accumulate frost and ice and the fan starts to rattle and eventually die when it hits the ice. An appliance repair company replaced the evaporator cover to create a new seal, and installed a new drain kit ($400), but only 3 1/2 weeks later the same problem occurred. They came out again to defrost it, but said they would not service this refrigerator after that - that it is a design defect that Samsung should recall. Three weeks later, the same problem occurred, over Christmas with a house full of family and a refrigerator full of food. I called Samsung but they wont do anything about it. Samsung, if youre reading this, you may think youre saving money in the short run, but in the long run, your customers are falling away like flies. I strongly discourage anyone from buying Samsung refrigerators, and I will no longer buy Samsung products of any kind.

Unfortunately made a poor decision in purchasing this refrigerator. Samsung is very good at making excuses for the problems occurring. Too bad so sad. Noise in the back, rattles. Its your water pressure causing that! Ice maker shoots ice all over. Love having to wipe the floor every time I get ice. The settings are for cubed and crushed but good luck getting cubes as the crushed continue to fly. Expensive lesson learned.

I guess I should have read the reviews on this dishwasher before purchase; however, I relied on the good name of Samsung. Boy was I wrong! I purchased my dishwasher in March of 2014. In December, was getting the error codes. I called the repair warranty center and they came right out and fixed it. I was happy and impressed. Despite the fact that the dishwasher constantly smelled awful… it worked. By April 2015, I was getting the same error code. Samsung refused to stand behind their product. This is obviously a major problem with this unit with the numerous complaints and we know that this is just the tip of the iceberg! Shame on you Samsung for not addressing this problem fairly. You have really taken advantage of the consumer and that is disgraceful. I had to throw away a dishwasher that was only 13 months old because it cost more to fix than to buy a new one. WARNING to all who are considering this purchase - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

I know Samsung makes some good appliances but I got stuck with a lemon and no one wants to take care of the problem. My wife and I purchased 4 Samsung appliances from HHGregg late September of 2013 and spent over $3500.00. No problems with 3 of them but the fridge has been nothing but a pain. First ball bearings fell out of the freezer drawer. Got it fixed. The ice cube maker has been giving us problems since weve had it. To make a long story short we found out it was not sealed properly. Had it fixed I thought, then 3 days later it started doing the same thing but worse. Was without our fridge for 5 days. Been in contact with Samsung for almost a week now and still dont have an answer. They wanted a copy of the invoice thinking they were going to give me a new one. Recd another call last night from Samsung and the lady asked me if the problem with the fridge was fixed after being on the phone the same day with them explaining my problems for the 4th or 5th time. I said you got to be kidding. Dont you people communicate with one another. All I can say is dont have a problem with your Samsung appliances or anything you buy from HHGregg because they will put you through hell trying to get the problem taken care of. After you buy something from HHGregg you’re on your own. They pretty much blew me off. Terrible customer service.

HORRIBLE!!!! I bought a fridge on the week of Black Friday 2014, the day of the delivery they called me saying it was damaged, and I would get a new one in 3 days, I let 2 weeks pass and I still havent received a new fridge. I went to Home Depot and they called Samsung and said that my delivery address always changed to Arcadia (I live in Palmdale), we fixed the delivery address after Samsung has said I changed it, which I didnt! And they would deliver it the first week of January, a whole month after I initially ordered it. When the day of the delivery came, the fridge was damaged for a SECOND time, and not to mention the unprofessionalism from the 2 delivery associates. They urged us to keep the damaged one, we declined. We had to wait again for another fridge. We called for compensation they promised us 200$ dollars that would take 6 weeks to process. Its been 3 months and I called them today and they said they denied my compensation. SAMSUNG is horrible, I will definitely never recommend Samsung to anybody and I will make sure corporate hears about this!

This refrigerator (Samsung French Door Refrigerator) is a huge disappointment. Both the refrigerator and freezer have frozen up. The ice maker no longer works. Many technicians refuse to work on Samsung appliances because they can’t be sure that they can even be repaired. I’ve had this refrigerator for less than 3 years. I’m having to defrost both sections on a regular basis. It’s not even a “lemon”. It’s just a bad product. Stay away from Samsung.

We bought our Samsung refrigerator in Feb. 2013. Ice maker has never worked. I called Samsung and went through the trouble shoot steps twice. It never worked. The second technician I talked to said the first one didnt know what he was talking about. I called them again; they sent out a technician. They had to send them out of course while we were both at work. My husband took off to be able to meet him there. He called and said he wasnt going to be able to make it and told me to tell my husband to go back to work. I called his dispatcher; he came out anyway. He told my husband to be sure and buy the extended warranty! WHY DIDNT WE LISTEN? We had to replace the ice maker. Mind you it was a brand new $1,400 refrigerator, and the ice maker never worked! Now the flap on the front of the door where the ice comes out will not close, and air gets up into the ice maker and it freezes then wont come out of the door. So we have to manually shut the flap so ice wont freeze. I called Samsung again. They are sending a technician from some place I have never heard of and of course, one of us has to take off work again to have our brand new refrigerator fixed! I will never again buy another Samsung product and will let everyone know about my bad experience with Samsung. Why didnt I read this page before buying a Samsung product!

I just got off the phone with Samsung who claims they support their product
I just got off the phone with Samsung who claims they support their product because they have a 1 year warranty. Hurray for them, everyone has a 1 yr warranty. The companies that really support their products are the ones that recognize when 2 major components on an expensive refrigerator go out that they should be responsible for fixing it.We had the ice maker and the evaporator fan motor go out on our 2 1/2 yr. old refrigerator. Samsung will do nothing but send a repairman to diagnose it but not pay to fix it. All the customer service people can do is read their policy of You are outside of the 1 year warranty. Their phone message while you wait for an hour keeps saying that they pride themselves if in their customer service. They have TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE because they dont allow their management to look at a case and make a decision based on the situation. All they can do is keep telling you, You are outside of your warranty. I have dealt with much better companies that will truly support their products and fix a major issue even if it outside the warranty because they know their product should be better than that.

Another Samsung piece of junk. We have a Samsung side by side with bottom freezer and the ice maker has been freezing over ever since the warranty expired. We have to defrost it every week now and seems to be getting more often. We contacted a service rep and he says he cant even fix it because there is a hole inside the icemakers cabinet, which is covered with a piece of duct tape. Well we didnt put it there, thats how it came when we bought it. So I guess $90 just to know why we have been having issues with it.

That person said I still had to pay him shipping on parts. After reading all of these complaints, Im just sick to my stomach that we didnt find this page before we bought our Samsung Oven. We bought a Samsung Microwave as well, but that seems fine. This oven is just over a year old (purchased Feb 2014) and has not worked properly for several months, but now we cant even manipulate it to work at all. We set a temperature and it slowly heats up. When it alerts you that it is to temperature, it is actually not. We turn it off and back on again (without opening the door) and it registers a temperature about 40-50 degrees less that what I set it for. Called Samsung and in a very monotone voice she announced that the oven was out of warranty. She said she could have someone call us to come out and service the oven, but no one has called yet. Its been a week. Although after reading some of the posts, Im seeing that many service companies refuse to work on Samsung ovens. Maybe they are tired of being yelled at by frustrated consumers. Plus many people have stated that they have paid as much as a new oven in service calls and it still doesnt work. I dont know if we should just buy another new oven (not Samsung) or what. It seems like more wasted money to have it serviced. Hundreds of dollars down the drain.

We bought a side by side Samsung Fridge and Freezer. Within the first year the motherboard broke and Samsung came to fix it with no charge. 3 years later out of warranty the fridge broke again. It took one of their technicians 3 weeks to come out due to them giving bad service. They more worried about the R570.00 call out fee rather than providing excellent service. After 3 weeks technician came and said there was a leakage, rusted pipe and it needed gas. Come on Samsung. After 3 years a fridge cannot need gas. I had a Fridge side by side Fridgemaster for 15 years and it never needed gas. Its abnormal and I know it is a faulty fridge.I told one of Samsung people yesterday I am a very unhappy customer and is only paying because I have to get it fixed. It costed me buying a bar fridge as Samsungs waiting period is pathetic. I was quoted R450.00. I have a call recording and emails sent to them. I intended buying a Samsung washing machine but NO SAMSUNG PRODUCTS ever. I am telling the world out there dont ever opt for a Samsung Fridge. They sell faulty products and would not replace it. My fridge still looks brand new as we working and only uses it at night and over weekends but I made a big mistake as the product is not cheap over 10,000.00. I am still waiting on them now to call me to say when the pipes will be fixed and the gas. Suppose to come Saturday but I will wait and see if I receive a phone call today.

My microwave that I purchased in April 2011 has been giving me issues month
My microwave that I purchased in April 2011 has been giving me issues months after I purchased. The panel has been replaced about 4 or 5 times and continued to have issues like beeping for no reason, lights on and off without being touched and going out for weeks and returning back to life after weeks of not working. I have made plenty of phone calls about 40 between Samsung and their technicians with little luck. At times they closed my file just because and i would have to start the process all over again. Since my microwave has completely stopped working in August 2014 they said they would fix and came out 3 times to diagnose the same issue but never fixed it. I was told by tech he was going to order parts and be back to fix, and never did. It was a lie. They called me 3 other times after that because they wanted to diagnose it again. That makes no sense, but they claim that is the process. I complained with BBB, and Samsung now wants the original purchase receipt that I had already showed the technician in 2012. Since I dont have it they want to partially reimburse me for owning it all this time. Whos fault is that? Not mine. If Samsung would have accepted my product was defective from the beginning I would not have owned it for so long. How can the people put an end to this defective product. They should get sued or make them recall their product. I am tired of Samsung and they should be held accountable for selling faulty products.

I purchased model NE59J7850WS/AA. It was not heating properly and I called to have it serviced. When the service tech came out he stated that they had several problems with this unit and thats just the way it was. He didnt even have a thermometer with him to check if the oven was heating properly. After using my own thermometer he made a few calls and replaced the entire board in the back. Its working better but does not heat evenly. The newest issue is that the glass top is really hard to keep clean. Ive had glass top stoves before and never had a problem like this. We called service and was told if it isnt a manufacturer defect we would have to pay for the service call. I think the most insulting thing was she was trying to tell us we didnt know how to clean the cooktop. I will never purchase another Samsung product. I dont believe they are a quality product.

We purchased our Samsung Microwave (SMH1816S) for our kitchen remodel and had it installed in April 2014. The microwave died on 3/30/15, getting the dreaded error code of 5E. We called Samsung (800-726-7864) on 3/30/15. Having read these reviews, we were prepared for the worst, and that is exactly what we got. DENIAL, DENIAL, DENIAL. We were told our warranty no longer existed. Even worse, they told us our Model number and Serial number didnt even come up! They consistently told me they could give me the number of their service center, but that we would have to pay for the repairs. I argued for 45 minutes with ** explaining to her that we would in NO way pay for the repair of a defective product… something that Samsung is FULLY aware, yet continues to deny. She then said she would have the Tech. Dept. call me the next day. No one got back with me so I called back on 4/2/15 and spoke with ** which got me nowhere, so demanded to speak with a Supervisor. I then spoke with ** of Executive Customer Relations. He, again, tried to deny that Samsung has a serious problem with their microwaves. I cited the over 300 complaints on Consumer Affairs. After 45 minutes of arguing, he finally relented and said they would send a repair tech out at no cost but that the only part they would cover would be the control panel as this is the part that seemed to be the cause of our complaint based upon our error code. Today, 4/10/15, the repairman came out and replaced the control panel. And, not surprisingly, the microwave is still dead! He claimed it must be the main board that needs replacing as the new control panel did not solve the problem. As he only brought a new control panel, he said he would send in our repair results and that someone would contact me. I asked him what a new main board would run and he said he had no idea what the cost of parts ran as only the Joplin, MO. office would know.At this point, I am totally disgusted with Samsung. Seems to me that if it is not the control panel, then it is something else. Bottom line is these microwaves are crap and whats more frustrating is that Samsung is fully aware of it, yet will not take appropriate action… such as recall them. All I know is that when I am contacted, I am ready to fight once again for this worthless item to be fixed BY Samsung at no cost to us. We have not even used this microwave for 1 year and for it to die on us, is absurd! Would love to hear about anyone elses similar experience with failure of the main board. I can only reiterate what everyone else seems to feel… why has a Class Action Lawsuit not been put in action? I know this is a long standing complaint and is extremely common. Is there not an attorney in the house who has experienced this problem with Samsung Microwaves? I will be the first to sign the petition if the challenge is created. I will write more about our travails once Samsung calls me. And if they fail to do so, I will be calling them! NO ONE SHOULD PUT UP WITH SAMSUNGS DENIAL FOR REPAIR! If you dont get what you want, fight for what is right! It has worked for me thus far. They simply cannot keep denying these claims.Updated on May 5, 2015: This is a continuation of a previous review published 4/10/15. It is vital that every Samsung consumer read this tip. We went through the same agony as everyone in dealing with Samsung and their refusal to acknowledge or assist in the repair of these defective microwaves. We spent hours on the phone with several Samsung employees.. most in the management dept. Each phone call got us the usual response... we can provide you with the number of a service repair company but the cost is up to you. Just so you understand, I do not put up with lies nor do I put up with injustices. I do not let them go. It was not until after I finally demanded to speak with someone in their LEGAL DEPARTMENT that I got any satisfactory response. I was told that the only thing they could give me was the email address for their legal dept. So, I wrote the Legal Dept.. ** on 4/16/15. I expressed my disgust with Samsung and urged them to read the reviews on ConsumerAffairs.com. I pointed out to them that they were completely unethical in their handling of the hundreds (actually probably thousands if you take into account those who just did not write a review on ConsumerAffairs) of complaints as to the dreaded defective microwaves. I warned them that a Class Action Lawsuit seemed to be encouraged by most. On 4/17/15, I received an email from the Legal Dept. (I will not give the name as it seems the names are bleeped out). The email approved the cost of repair for our microwave. We, too, had the common 5E/SE error code. The technician came out on 4/21/15 to make the repair. Turns out we had to have the motherboard replaced (having already replaced the control panel) before the oven worked properly. We do not feel the headaches are over. It seems as if many of these issues arise again after a few months of use. We will not be surprised when/if this happens again. Bottom line, these microwaves need to be recalled or a Class Action Lawsuit should prevail. Samsung is only putting a temporary fix on these defects. Since the Legal Dept. acted as if my complaint was new to them, I can only encourage everyone to write the Legal Dept. of Samsung to voice their complaint and to get appropriate action. Hopefully this helps all of you who are getting nowhere with Samsung.

I purchased a top-of-the-line Samsung dishwasher in August 2013. By September 2014 it started giving me an IE error (heat) code. I had purchased the extended warranty from Leons and they directed me to call their provider Transglobal Service to have a technician come and check out the unit. We had to make an appointment to have someone come and look at the unit... AND take a day off work as they dont make service calls on the weekend. When the technician came a week later, he was at our home for all of 5 minutes and said he had to order a part. (We had told him what the issue was... Why doesnt he have parts to fix this in his vehicle??) It took another 10 days for him to come back and we had to take another day off work to wait all day for someone to show up. From start to finish it took 4 weeks to have the unit fixed... This was right around Thanksgiving. The unit worked for about a month, and we started to see the IE code yet again, just in time for Christmas! We have now been without a dishwasher for 4 weeks again, and the technician is coming today to fix the same problem. I am thankful that there are only two of us at home, and we arent a family of 4 or 5 and this isnt a fridge or stove that has the issue. The level of prompt customer service received is totally unacceptable. It simply doesnt exist. If the unit breaks down again, Im going to start haunting Leons stores and speak with people who want to purchase appliances there and tell them of my experience. So disappointed in this product, but more in the lack of care the service company seems to have for the appliances they supposedly fix. Not happy...

Purchased Samsung refrigerator 3 years ago. Ice maker has not been working properly for several months. After researching this problem, I find it is very common. It has been reported that there was a design change made to the current model to address this. Spoke to a Samsung customer support person as well as a manager. They will not assist with the cost of the service call in any way. I received estimates of $400-$500 dollars. The refrigerator cost $2000. So in three years I am incurring a repair cost equal to 1/4 the price of the refrigerator. We are remodeling our kitchen in several month. It looks like it will be LG for us in the future.

Samsung will not consider this a lemon and our additional contract will expire in May 2015, after which WE will have to pay for that SAME part every few months. Samsung did offer us a diagnostic visit by THEIR recommended service tech (they no longer use Sears Repair) at an additional coast of $99.00 to us??All but the last repair left us with no dishwasher for about 2 weeks! Now, Sears is carrying that part on their truck. We only have to wait about a week! Its good that we purchased the extra warranty, but thats almost up. We too bought a Samsung RF266ABRS/XAA - this is a French door, bottom mount fridge in September 2009. Though I have been happy with the design, mechanically this system is problematic. We have consistently had issue with the water pooling/freezing under the deli drawer. The Twin Cooling panel on the inside/rear of the unit was replaced in 2011 and now again in 2013. Our service rep told us the unit has a design flaw in the way it seals. Both times have been out of our pocket though I will be pulling my warranty information as it sounds as though another writer says it MIGHT be covered under a 5 year warranty for the Twin Cooling system. I wont even THINK about another SAMSUNG and will be careful to ascertain if the next brand is manufactured by the same outfit. Oh yes, this time our ice maker went out as well.

I called them to complain and get this fixed and they said this was a cosmetic issue and it’s not covered. All this is dealing with them is a way of them playing with words and not fulfilling their responsibilities with warranty, anything but helping a customer as what I got this is definitely not cosmetic, it is a manufactures defect but they don’t use those words. Bought Samsung side by side refrigerator in 2009. It has been leaking a lot of water down to the bottom of the refrigerator, under the drawers, which then leaks out onto the floor at least two or three times per week. We assume it is from the filter area. We do use the manufacture recommended filters so are not sure has caused this. The center of the refrigerator between freezer and fridge area gets very hot to the touch around the indoor icemaker. Wish we never bought this. We are very Brand Loyal customers, but will never purchase anything Samsung again.

I wiped it out and thought it was the humidity level. Well 5 months later it was still happening and ruining my food in the crisper. Had to have a service guy come out and it was the drain clip. He said that they freeze because the original design isnt long enough. Had to have it upgraded so it doesnt happen again. Im very unhappy that the design is bad and there wasnt a recall for this.

Ice maker never worked properly (leaked, jammed, made inadequate ice when it did work). Since I had another refrigerator, I decided to take out the ice maker to make more room in the freezer. Did so (after great effort--badly designed drawers for removal). Refrigerator wouldnt work. Went on chat line. First time worked with someone for 25 minutes who obviously didnt have a clue about my particular model (kept referring to buttons that didnt exist) even though I had given her the correct model (french door unit)--then cut off. Tried again; passed to another tech. In both cases, I asked if the removal of the ice maker might have caused the problem. Was assured not. Went through every possible trouble-shooting efforts (most of which I had already done). Asked again: could it be that the removal of the icemaker was causing the problems? No, I was told, I would have to call a service rep. Before I did so, however, I reinstalled the icemaker. Refrigerator worked perfectly. Apart from the fact that English is clearly a second language, these folks dont have a clue about their own equipment.

They sent someone out and they said we caused physical damage to the dishwasher. I have spent hours on the phone and they just mess with you by saying they will send a second opinion and then they wont actually do it. Very dishonest company! Bunch of scam artists. Dont buy Samsung products. They will break if they are dishwashers or explode if theyre phones and they wont take responsibility.

We purchased a set of Samsung appliances less than two years ago. In that time period, the dishwasher had to be replaced after the service company sent out by Samsung made numerous trips. The oven heating element has now burned in to two parts and the oven no longer works. The freezer drawer broke, and will no longer stay in the brackets. We expected more and couldnt be more disappointed. The service companies that Samsung has contracted with are just as disappointing. They have to make numerous trips, dont answer the phone or return calls, and reschedule on the date of the appointment (after you have taken off work). We have never been so disappointed in a product. We will never buy Samsung ANYTHING again!

My Samsung refrigerator (Stainless Steel Bottom Freezer) is less than a year old and the freezer stopped working this evening (12 Jun 2018). I am thoroughly convinced, after having read similar reviews published within the last few days and weeks, that the Samsung refrigerators were either immediately defective upon being manufactured or became defective while in transit. Though the product is currently under warranty, I do not look forward to having to deal with the retailer (Home Depot) and/or the manufacturer in order to repair it. I strongly advise the reader to not purchase a Samsung refrigerator.

We bought our Samsung fridge with icemaker in 2015 and loved the design for storage. We had several issues with defrosting and the fridge developing ice and the back and freezing food. We started to take a day once a year to defrost it over 24 hours and it worked for a couple years but we called it this year. It froze up again (early this year) and we defrosted it again but it never got back to properly keeping our food cool but not frozen. Our local repair person told us he wouldnt waste our time because hes gone to service Samsung fridges many times and bought new parts but it never helped. When we had our new fridge delivered the delivery person commented that theyve removed mostly Samsung fridges from peoples homes. They look good but not worth it. Ours lasted 6 years! Thats not long for over $2,000.00. Not to mention the environmental impact!

They recorded computer systems with lies to fool the system to avoid create alert on incomplete service request. In my case they falsely written that the refrigerator is repaired as the information is not accessible to customer and however repeated inquiry revealed the secret of their mischief. I am still struggling to get the refrigerator repaired or replaced. You know without refrigerator you cant keep vegetables milk out for 10 days. We bought all Samsung appliances for our new home. The fridge lasted 2 years, needed a new motherboard and fan. Our washer is the exploding machine, on recall, check if you have one... Our dishwasher broke 5 times in two years, we had to pay servicemen 120 bucks each time to look, motherboard, seals, racks, etc. Everything replaced. Samsung service said initially they would replace machine before one year, but it dragged out longer, so they said, Too bad youre no longer under warranty. It was never fixed. A so-called Samsung guy showed up, said we should not use Rinse Aid, causes bubbles. I laughed at him. No one from Samsung had anything on file he came to our home. I met two people last week at Lowes looking for a dishwasher, they had the same machine I did. We laughed. Never again. Samsung dishwasher the worst ever! Stay away!

I have contacted Samsung to report this issue. They wanted to send a tech out on our dime to check this problem out. I told them no way! This is clearly a manufacturing issue. The mold is between two pieces of plastic and you cannot get to it without destroying the icemaker. The ice machine is located in the fridge and you cannot get to the actual ice. We have found pieces of mold in our ice. This cannot be safe. Samsung customer service was by far rude and not wanting to really listen to our care about this issue.

About six years ago we bought a Samsung refrigerator. At first we were quite pleased. But that was short lived. After having the refrigerator for three years we noticed water accumulating in the bottom of the refrigerator. We soaked it up only to notice ice building up from the back. We broke the ice loose and cleaned it up to notice that the water and ice returned within a few weeks. The repairman replaced a few parts and told us that all Samsung are known for many problems ranging from electrical to mechanical such as the computer board, icemaker, and cooling units. After he left, I noticed that the shelves were sagging. The shelves no longer catch in their proper slots. I thought that perhaps the repairman didnt reinstall the parts correctly, but through my own inspection noticed no discrepancy. The refrigerator sides are simply bowing out causing the shelves to shift and sag. Recently, the water dispenser has stopped working, the food at the bottom of the refrigerator is freezing, and at this point I see no further reason to call for repair. Weve had the refrigerator for about six years and it is junk. Samsung has brought credence to the phrase They dont build them like they used to. What happened to the 20-year appliance?

Purchased a Samsung from Home Depot April 14. I call Samsung about every four months for two issues. 1- the refrigerator is growling and making monster noises and 2 - another piece of the inside broke to pieces. Another shelf, drawer etc. cracked, broke or crumbled and has to be secured with flex tape or thrown in the garbage because it is unusable. See pictures. Its completely unbelievable!Hours on the phone with Home Depot (where we bought the additional warranty) and they send us to Samsung & Samsung sends us to National Factory Service for diagnostic and at a cost to us: $85. They heard. They came. They saw. They did nothing. Just head scratches and the words: PARTS OUT OF WARRANTY. When I call Samsung these days, they try to sell me an extended warranty for $129, which doesnt cover the parts. I mean have you ever? Its such a joke! There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung ~ apparently for the icemaker + and, yes, our icemaker gives us non stop issues.

I bought a house with Samsung appliances and and wish I had asked for new ones from a different brand. Pure junk. The stove burners didnt work properly, the oven heat varied all over the oven when baking. The fridge door drawers all cracked and cost too much to bother replacing. The door flap was broke and fridge didnt cool properly. Food spoiled. Now for the junk of a washer that would take half a day to do a load of wash because when it would go to the spin mode, it would unbalance and kick out only to take another twenty mins to finish or do it again and back to twenty mins again. I would recommend to not buy these from this company. They need to stick to cellphones. By the way, the house was seven years old and the dryer was a different make, assuming it died already. Costly replacing all of this because they make crap.

Samsung refrigerator (RF4267HARS) with middle drawer and then the bottom freezer compartment has been excellent and I am coming up to the five year mark owning it. The only frustration with the appliance is dispensing ice. When the glass is placed up against the paddle and pressed towards the fridge you can hear the ice auger turning but no ice is coming down the ice chute into your glass. Odd you would think. Then I would open up the fridge double doors and absolutely every time I would be greeted by ice cubes falling down all over the fridge ledge and all over my kitchen floor. No matter how many times I have told Samsung operators that the problem is the size of the ice cubes. The ice cubes get jammed up in the ice chute preventing other ice cubes from falling down the chute into the homeowners glass. A family member purchased an identical fridge six months ago and guess what the ice cubes are half the size. No issues ever with their fridge. A technician replaced the ice cube machine a week ago and the exact same sized ice cubes are being made and the jamming still occurs. This morning I opened up the fridge doors and ice started dropping out of the fridge onto my kitchen floor again. Warranty runs out at the end of 2018 and I cannot wait to sell this fridge. I will no longer purchase a fridge with a ice dispenser.

Our Samsung 26 cu ft french door refrigerator (RF267AERS) is only 4 years old and were shopping for a new one. The coils in the back of the fridge behind the plastic panel freeze up and block the fan. The fan gets louder and louder until we unload the whole thing and take an entire day to defrost it. Sometimes the ice on the coils does melt and then it flows down under the deli drawer and inside the deli drawer because of the frozen up drain hole (also behind the plastic panel). I often have to break up sheets of ice under the deli drawer as well. The seals on the fridge doors are already breaking too! I called Samsung and gave them my model number and told them the problem and they told me to call a certified repair company. From the research Ive done online that will cost me $300 and they will just do what we have done which is to defrost the coils, then it will just happen all over again. Ill never buy another Samsung.

Purchased Samsung Black Stainless French Door - bottom freezer on 6/10/17. Freezer stopped working in 4/2019. Samsung said they would do a 1 X free parts - I would have to pay labor (or vice versa). Warranty was up (less than 2 years since purchase). They entered a wrong phone on service request - not just a wrong number but something made up like: 12345678 which cancelled my appointment because service provider could not reach me. Called them back and they told me they were sorry and because of this they would also pay both the labor and parts. Meanwhile I had researched what could have been wrong and found quite a few google answers that people experienced same thing and it was the evaporator motor. I relayed that to service provider so if they brought that part it would be fixed sooner than later. (Side note at this point we also had to buy a freezer so all the food we stocked up on during pandemic didnt end up in the garbage). They fixed it. Several months later both the refrigerator and freezer stopped working. I called Samsung and immediately was told I would have to pay for repair. I questioned it ONLY. But was prepared to pay the $99 for a diagnostic. They put in service ticket and then noticed days later it was cancelled? I called them and they said we cancelled it because you refused to pay. I never refused to pay?!I ended up called the service provider - they sorted it out and I paid them $99 for house call. They diagnosed it as needing some kind of sealer and refrigerant and Samsung has lengthened the time of the warranty of that particular problem (probably must be an ongoing issue). They had to come back a week later. I was also told - it may or may not work. Sure enough end of May freezer died. Service provider could not come out until the 11th of June. Beginning of beginning of June 2020 refrigerator died as well. Had to throw out all perishables. So we got less than 3 years use. One correction - I communicated with Samsung through their CHAT option. I ended up cancelling the appointment today 6/9/20 and taking the loss and ordering a different brand that wont be delivered until 7/13/20. Horrible experience with this refrigerator. Purchase date: 6/10/2017 - Garbage date: 6/9/20.

Purchased a French door, lower freezer Samsung fridge from Lowes in 2009. I have a 25 year old Jenaire fridge in the garage that I have never spent a dime on for repairs. I had had multiple problems with the Samsung fridge, including having to replace the ice maker, some other parts that caused the fridge to stop cooling (about $400.00). The ice maker has always leaked water the first time it is used, causing stains down the front of the door & pooling on top of the freezer door. Now my newest problem is that the door that has the ice maker is rusting through, particularly around the ice maker but also at the bottom. My fear is that the insulation in the door is covered In mold.

We purchased the Samsung Fridge model # RF28HMEDBSR/AA less than six months
We purchased the Samsung Fridge model # RF28HMEDBSR/AA less than six months ago. We’ve had this fridge previously at our last home and I was skeptical to buy again because the fridge started having rust spots on the freezer door (true stainless steel shouldn’t rust). So the company falsely advertised their fridge to be true stainless, which as a consumer, once a business makes false claims, you’d typically not want to purchase the item again. However, my husband really wanted this fridge so I gave in. Fast forward to roughly six months after we got the new fridge, the door with the water/ice dispenser was left open, not fully but cracked like it wasn’t completely closed while we were at work. Complete accident but when I got home that night, the ice door flap on the fridge door was continuously opening and closing and the front display was almost completely dim. Following what you would think is right, I contacted their technical support department and got in queue for a callback (est wait was 1hr 15 min). Received call back and by this time, my husband was home and able to go through all the troubleshooting ideas the tech threw at him. Still not fixed, so they put in a request to have a tech from Dish Home Services come to fix it. This was on a Monday, the tech couldn’t get out here until Friday. So we’ve had a half working fridge, only to be told on Friday that the Samsung tech ordered the wrong part and they’d have to put in a new order and send someone out again. I was annoyed at this point as it was a holiday weekend, and was being told it’d be over a week before they’d be able to come back out. (Uh no.) Anyone whos had issues with a new fridge knows that you can’t just sit around and wait. Your food doesn’t stay cold and using coolers only does so much. I’d been in touch with a supervisor at Samsung (Antony ID **), who told me they wouldn’t replace my fridge because they had to exhaust all options to fix it (meaning we’d have to keep taking time off work to be home for these techs, even though they say they don’t expect you too, when you have a broken fridge, you have to too). Dish Home Services don’t apparently do late afternoon/early evening calls and were not seeming to think working us in was essential. My husband had been working with a Katie at Dish who said she’d call him back that same Friday they were out to confirm our appointment. She never did and we had to call back on Monday to figure out what was going on. I kept getting the response that “were waiting on the part”, but in this day and age of tracking numbers, expedited shipping, etc. they could have known when they would have the part and confirm a date to come back. I finally got a supervisor with Dish (she said her name was Demetrius) and she said she could see the tech would have the part by tomorrow (Tuesday), and she’d email the local dispatcher to get us on the books. When I asked for the local phone number to call them myself, she said she couldn’t give it out. So long story short, if you don’t want a headache of dealing with a crap customer service department, or the possibility of a brand new appliance breaking, I’d stay clear of this company because they clearly don’t care to stand behind their products but hide behind poor policies and use horrible contract service companies to repair their own products. Save yourself the headache and buy another brand.

I purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator with ice maker 3 years ago. The refrigerator is junk. It freezes up making clucking jarring sounds because of the ice build up. It leaks under the crisper drawers and on to the floor outside of the fridge. I have contacted Samsung for the last 6 months. They asked me to allow them to pay a service tech to come fix it. The service tech broke the fridge and had me pay $400 to fix it. Still does the same thing. Samsung asked to pay for another repair but their techs could not make an appointment that was convenient for me then told me to use a tech in my area to state the fridge was unrepairable. I did so and paid $85. Now they are telling me that it is a seal problem and that I am either leaving my doors open or the doors are not on properly. I have since purchased a Maytag and threw the Samsung off my back porch. Samsung creates ticket numbers and closes them never returning phone calls or emails. Showing they are the guilty party in the problem with this fridge. I currently have had another ticket escalated to ask to pay for what I have put out because they asked me to do this in order to resolve the issue. $481. 12/24/2017 My wife turn the oven on of our Samsung Range Model # FTQ3531WUX?XAA, about 5 minutes later heard two large POPS. Wondering what the noise was went into kitchen to find black smoke billowing from the control panel. My wife came in about the same time. I pulled the stove away from the wall and my wife pulled the plug out of the wall. Flames were shooting out from the back side of the stove. Was able to extinguish fire and silence the smoke detectors. Luckily we were near or my kitchen, wall or entire house could have gone up in flames. 12/26/2017 I contacted Samsung Corp. I explained exactly what happened and the first thing they asked if anyone was injured. I said NO, we acted fast. They said they would send a technician no charge service call or labor to determine if the cost would be greater the stove replacement. The part (new control panel) with tax came to $179.49. I thought it was cheaper than a new stove so he fixed it and charged me just for the part. The tech said he couldnt believe Samsung would only cover the trip charge and not the faulty part too. Maybe if someone got hurt or my house burned down would they cover it. After we had it repaired I did a lot of research and I am not alone with this faulty problem. Numerous people owning Samsung stoves had fires too. I wrote another letter to Samsung Corp. explaining our situation and asked if I could have the amount of the part refunded. My request was denied again. They gave me a number in South Carolina to call, it was their product liability department. After nearly a half hour explaining our experience they refused to refund the cost of the part and said I should be happy they covered the service charge. I asked to talk to her supervisor and she said no one is above her. So that is our Samsung range story. My advice and my wifes is NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG!!! Your life could depend on it!!!

What use is a warranty if a stainless steel door rusts after two months. Really terrible customer service. Always had great products in the past from them, so thought the fridge would be good, but turned out to be terrible, very expensive mistake. Also the ice production is poor, way less than the old fridge I used to have and the veg crispers are tiny, not large enough for a regular shop.

I purchased the Samsung stove-oven-range on 12 2013 Model # NX58F5500SS SERIAL # J1997DDD902732M. I contacted Samsung today, July 1, since still under warranty. One of the front right burner, it does not come on with the igniter and then it finally does making a big flame because the gas has been on for a few seconds. They wanted me to troubleshoot the issue over the phone. I am not a train tech for this job. I am their customer. This being a safety issue for myself and my kids its unbelievable. I dont recommend and will buy anything from Samsung ever again.

About one year after I purchased my Samsung dishwasher (DMT800RHS), we began getting error messages and problems with dishes. We had a Samsung authorized tech come out at $250 expense to ourselves and he found a bunch of plastic pieces the color of the racks in the pump impeller. Nearly 6 months later, we had the same issue and had a local tech come out. For another $75, he retrieved the same rack colored pieces of plastic out of the pump. Tonight, we had a third tech come out and retrieve more rack pieces out of the pump. I have attached photos of the rack adjuster, where every plastic attachment is broken on both sides. These have broken during operation. I hope this review helps someone choose carefully when purchasing a dishwasher, and avoid the headache that we have been dealing with.

I bought this stainless steel refrigerator from Lowes and spent $3,000 only to have the ice maker jam, leak and not produce ice. After dozens of calls and several tech visits Samsung told me that even though they replaced the same parts 3 times that they would not replace the unit or credit me in any way! RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They dont care that they produce a piece of junk and they have horrible customer service. I now see that I am not alone in this problem. I personally know 3 other people that have had the exact same experience as me. I will never buy anything with the Samsung label ever again.

We purchased the DW80 series stainless dishwasher less than a week ago & only used it twice. 2nd use it would not drain & leaked water all over the floor. Customer service at Samsung is of no help & warned me we will be liable for service charges for their technician to repair. This is a joke... the appliance is less than a week old! I bought a full set of Samsung appliances & should have better researched to learn of the poor quality of their products prior to purchase. Buyers BEWARE - invest your money with another manufacturer that has reputable service & quality!
