We bought all 4 kitchen appliances in black stainless steel. The ice maker
We bought all 4 kitchen appliances in black stainless steel. The ice maker plugs and is annoying but the real damage is the microwave. It starts without any intro action. Fan comes on full blast. Research says unplug and then plug it in. It only helps for a few hours. After researching I have found hundreds of reviews with the same problem. The door has been replaced in some reviews but it doesn’t solve the problem. Calling Samsung so far hasn’t helped.Since our warranty is up it is up to me to find a tech in our real area. So far no luck and so how do I get parts? And what good is a new door if it is going to do it again? Samsung knows of the problem when you go to their site for repair it directs you to immediately unplug because it is a fire hazard and go to customer support. The circle begins again - no tech, no part, and I have a unplugged unusable microwave. Samsung should be doing a recall they did one because people were being shocked. Isn’t a fire hazard a reason for a recall?

Ice maker is junk! After warranty, no one will work it. Tech came out, once he saw it was a Samsung, he refused to work on it and left! Their TVs seem to be good but would never recommend a Samsung refrigerator. Just waiting for the refrigerator to stop, then buy a Kitchenaid.

My wife and I live in Everett, Pa. We had purchased two Samsung products from Lowes, a microwave model SMH 9187 ST and a top of the line Stainless French door fridge, in Altoona, Pa. After a short period the ice maker light would not reset on the fridge for which we paid for an extended warranty. After calling Lowe’s we were told we live outside the 50 mile radius for service. After calling Samsung we’re told there was no one in the area to service the unit. The only option was to replace the fridge with a new one to solve the minor problem. DUH! After days I finally got it to reset. Another problem was we had water leaking from the ice maker unit. Again no service was available. It seems I had replaced the filter unit made by Samsung made in Korea and it was defective. I found this out after driving 100 miles round trip to try another unit. If I did not have some technical skills for repair I would have been out of luck. Our microwave failed showing the code SE. Again I could not get service and was told by Samsung it was still in warranty. After many calls they referred the problem to a BGH Electronics in Cumberland Maryland. After 9 days waiting for a call I found out the repair was canceled. I suspect they did not want to drive the 2 hours round trip. I again got back with Samsung and now was told the unit was NOT in warranty and I was on my own to get it repaired. Fortunately I found that this unit has a design flaw where steam from the stove will corrode the contacts in the control panel. A simple video on YouTube shows how to clean the contacts and after that the unit works fine. I am not happy with Lowe’s in Altoona, Pa selling Samsung products to folks outside the 50 mile area that cannot get service. I will buy appliances from local stores that can provide service if needed and it will not be a Samsung product.

Two years ago, we bought a Samsung refrigerator and it has been nothing but a money pit. We bought this from Lowes and it is no secret that this product is a piece of junk. Why would they keep selling them? The thermostat went out 31/2 months ago for a price of $300 and another service call a month before that for a price of $100. Well, the thermostat is out again and Samsung said that the thermostat has only a three-month warranty. The only positive thing I can say is that the set up manual tells you what to do so you can throw it away. I am going to cut my losses and buy a new one. Does Samsung made it or has anything to do with it? I have had my last Samsung product in my house.

It is obvious that Samsung fridges have critical design problems. Those of us foolish enough to buy one know futile and frustrating it is to do with this company. The thing is now to spread the word to others so they dont make the same mistake. I posted an ad for the fridge in Craigslist under the title Samsung Sucks. I know it wont sell, but its a pretty effective way of spreading the word about this company and maybe, with any luck, it will cost them a few sales.

Own a Samsung SMH9187ST microwave. In part picked from a Consumer Report rating. Thoroughly disappointed. Has been nothing but trouble. First the rack that came with the unit, caused an arcing/burning inside the unit - had to throw the rack out. Then the Magnetron failed (wouldnt heat), after much arguing with Samsung, they finally sent someone to replace it. Then had another issue with the unit functioning (of course just past the 1 year warranty part); had to replace the sensors at the door (my cost). Then we get the SE error - the remedies online dont work, so, only solution to replace the entire control panel?? This is an extremely poor design. SAMSUNG should not have sold this design. Third appliance of theirs that has been a major disappointment. I will never buy SAMSUNG again.

The Grates on my Samsung stove have rubber mounts that hold them in place. Once the grates heat up the rubber mounts fall off, Now it’s dangerous because the grates slide all around. The grates were replaced by Samsung but in a short time the rubber mounts fell out again. Now it’s over year old... it’s a manufacture defect. Rubber and metal don’t work with heat. We can’t use our stove the way it is, Now what??? I would not recommend this stove to anyone.

Holy **! You spend nearly $3,000 on a refrigerator, and 2 months outside of the standard 12-month warranty, the display goes out. 2 months? Really. The fact that they dont have enough faith in their own products to warranty a $2,800 unit for 24 months is ludicrous. I wish I would have read these comments beforehand. For those of you looking at the stainless steel 4 door fridge, model RF4287HARS, dont waste the money. Id love to see a class action on this.

NOV 14TH 2019 OUR SON WENT TO PREHEAT OUR Samsung oven and heard a crack and pop sound. All the sudden there was smoke. He ran to get his dad, my husband came running downstairs full on flames out of the back control panel. My husband had to put it out with a fire extinguisher and almost called the fire department. We bought a 5 yr extended warranty thru Best Buy and currently without a stove till they come take a look. So we have no way to cook food for our family. Were already $200 plus out of pocket expenses. Trying to remove the smell of fire from our home and had to buy a 2 burner plug in burner so we can cook something. Fire extinguisher dust everywhere. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG MAJOR APPLIANCES.

Purchase a Samsung Dishwasher DMT300RFS about 2 years ago. It worked fine for 1 year. We started having issues with it cleaning the dishes and glassware. We tried different detergents and cleaning products with no success. Then it stopped working altogether. The instrument panel codes said that it was a drain pump problem so I replaced the drain pump. It would not start and displayed a new code leak sensor. I took the dishwasher apart again, but did not see any water. I made sure that the sensor was dry and put the machine back together. Still will not work. My last dishwasher was a GE and it lasted about 10 years with no problems. Samsung makes junk, do not buy.

About one year after I purchased my Samsung dishwasher (DMT800RHS), we began getting error messages and problems with dishes. We had a Samsung authorized tech come out at $250 expense to ourselves and he found a bunch of plastic pieces the color of the racks in the pump impeller. Nearly 6 months later, we had the same issue and had a local tech come out. For another $75, he retrieved the same rack colored pieces of plastic out of the pump. Tonight, we had a third tech come out and retrieve more rack pieces out of the pump. I have attached photos of the rack adjuster, where every plastic attachment is broken on both sides. These have broken during operation. I hope this review helps someone choose carefully when purchasing a dishwasher, and avoid the headache that we have been dealing with.

Samsung is 100% the worse product we have purchased in years. We have had a broken dishwasher in our kitchen for over 2 months. The unit broke shortly after purchase and we had to go through warranty. They sent Dish Network repairmen out. 4 times. Each time took a minimum of 5-7 hours. They showed up late, or not at all after scheduling a long window of when they might appear. They never fixed the unit and disappeared after it was establish they would have to replace the unit. We call Samsung and are told someone will call us back. We are also being told they are replacing it with the same unit which seems like a nightmare waiting to happen. Don’t do it!

We have had to have the icemaker fixed at least 4 times in the first year and now it is out of warranty and I am holding my breath until it dies again. Does not crush ice well but often full cubes fall into the cup. Icemaker leaks and has created a mold problem that has to be kept wiped down with bleach. Rubber gasket on freezer door has been compromised for over a year and it is a pain trying to get service. We will NEVER buy a Samsung refrigerator again! TVs are great and they need to stick to them!

There are a couple main problems with the refrigerator (Samsung Refrigerato
There are a couple main problems with the refrigerator (Samsung Refrigerator Model RF323TEDBSR/AA):1. There is a design flaw in the upper ice dispenser. When you select cubed ice, the dispenser crushes about 1/3 to 1/2 of the ice cubes. The problem lies in the design of the module. The opening to the ice chute is just too small and/or too close to the crusher mechanism which is just above the ice chute. The auger feeds more ice per given amount of time (seconds) than can fall through the hole to the chute before building up a pile at the hole. As this pile of ice builds up, it eventually begins to feed into the crusher mechanism. This results in about one third to one half of the cubes being crushed. Samsung technical support asked us to empty and reset the ice module but it made no difference. Finally my wife called them and had to escalate to the upper tier of support and they sent a second module but we found no difference in performance.2. The second problem is with the overall quality of the refrigerator. The hinge/pins for the drawer lids broke within the first couple months of ownership. These are little plastic pins, which are about 1/2 the diameter of a pencil, that allow the clear plastic lid to swing open upward when you pull the crisper or meat/cheese drawers out. I fixed them by drilling them out and inserting a wooden dowel rod and securing them with some industrial strength glue. Theyve held for almost a year now like that.3. Finally, the silver finish is flaking off the control/menu panel. This is a cosmetic flaw I understand but for a 1 year old product this is absolutely unacceptable. Samsung refused to do anything for us on this and my wife was adamant that there should be some replacement part shipped but they refused.Overall we are finding out that the refrigerator is just poor quality. We purchased the refrigerator because it had all the features we wanted. The second ice maker in the lower freezer drawer was a big reason we bought it. Now we have to open that drawer and dig out the ice cubes for our drinks if we dont want crushed ice which is all we can get from the front dispenser.I also wanted to make a comment about the water filter. The Aqua Fresh filters that are rated to be a match for the Samsung model HAF-CIN are of poor quality. I had a 3-pack of filters and the first filter worked without any issues for many months. Then the indicator light came on telling me it was time to replace the filter. The second and 3 filters from that pack leaked water into the drawer just below the filter. I ultimately had to replace them with the Samsung filter. This is not a Samsung complaint, but rather for information so others know my experience with the off-brand filters.

There has been a class action suit filed against Samsung related to damages caused as a result of the poorly designed ice maker in side by side refrigerator/freezers and the resulting leaks. Repairs are now being made for free for some models made within specific dates. Our particular model is a part of the suit but not for the date on which ours was produced. However, the technician who came to make the repair stated that its the most common call he receives. Our ice maker leaks, the line freezes and the ice maker must constantly be reset. The ice maker must be totally replaced. No costs are covered so this is a $700.00 cost to us. This will be the last Samsung product that we purchase.

We have the Family Hub French door with the screen in front. Paid approx $2300. This thing is a piece of garbage. First, they changed the app with no notification so we lost all the things we had programmed including pictures. The ice maker is HORRIBLE!!! So horrible that I have invested in a portable countertop ice maker. Im not sure whats going on with it, but whenever we call for service, were told we have to defrost it before theyll come. How does that show them the issue? The ice and water spills outside the ice bucket and then freezes together. Every few days, it stops making ice. Thats because its clogged with ice and cant work any longer. I have to take a hair dryer to it to defrost all the stuck frozen water and ice cubes. Today I did it, and I noticed there is a ton of mold under the lip of the mouth where the water and ice comes out to the dispenser. Gross. There is no way to get to the mold. Also, ice gets stuck in the dispenser and melts, so it leaks onto the dispenser on the door. I wish I would have taken a picture of the clumped frozen water before I posted this. Piece of garbage. Do not buy!

Samsung is fully aware of the defective clips that will break from the top
Samsung is fully aware of the defective clips that will break from the top rack of their dishwasher and the clips get lodged in the pump motor and the dishwasher will not run. Their solution to the guaranteed reoccurring problem is to allow one time only repair outside of warranty and then the consumer is on their own after that. What they should do is proceed with a recall of the part and provide a retrofit or, at the very least, provide unlimited repairs to the consumer. My whole entire house is equipped with Samsung products and I placed my confidence in a company that doesnt back their products. There was simply no help offered or even concern regarding this defect. Simply put, I was told, We know and youve already used your one time allotted repair. BUYERS BEWARE. SAMSUNG DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS, EVEN WHEN THEY KNOW THERE IS A DEFECT. The last repairman that came to my house left replacement parts for me because he knew it would happen again. REALLY??? Where is a lawyer when you need one??

A small plastic bracket that supports the upper ice maker in my french door
A small plastic bracket that supports the upper ice maker in my french door refrigerator (RF 323TEDBSR) broke. I have spent more than two months with Samsungs official parts department, J & J International, Inc. trying to obtain the part. Initially they told me that the part I needed was the assembly case and auger motor. I couldnt believe it but they swore it was an integrated part. I ordered it to the tune of $175. When it arrived I took it out and it was immediately clear that it was the wrong part. So I called and received a Return Authorization number. I was told that I would receive a shipping label by email. After a week, I called again and was told that it hadnt come to me because they only make these labels up on Wednesdays! I was instructed to wait a few more days. I did, no label. I called again and was told that they had misspelled my email address and would send it again within the hour. I waited two days and contacted on-line customer service. They also told me that my email was misspelled (what, again?) that they had spelled office with two Is instead of two fs. Customer service told me that they had alerted the proper person to the problem. When I asked for that persons information, I was told that it doesnt speak to the public. Nice!Oh, the reason they authorized the return is that the bracket, which is held in place by three small screws is a non-serviceable part because it was installed before the case was foamed in for insulation. They might as well have told me that there was no such part in my refrigerator. They think that they can give you an stupid excuse. Actually, it is a piece of plastic, the size of my hand, that weighs about two ounces. Worth two dollars at most but Id gladly pay $20 because, without it, I have no upper ice maker. I have been in touch with Samsungs Executive Offices to no avail. A company that doesnt support its own products should be forced out of business. I bought this refrigerator from Lowes. I think they should consider the effect on their customers by continuing to advertise and sell this garbage. No more for me.

For several days, the freezer isnt working properly and the fridge isnt cooling sufficiently. This morning, a Best Buy technician came out to troubleshoot and determined the circuit board needs replacing. I called Samsung since the fridge is less than 5 years old. No help, the person on the phone just kept telling me I could go through Best Buy to fix the issue or have Samsung come out at my additional expense. I originally bought a Samsung French Door Model # RFG297HDRS on 3/29/11. The refrigeration was great. I loved the capacity, style, and looks. One small problem was it was missing a tiny screw that held the bar in the freezer on track. The drawer would wobble when I pulled it open and then would fall off the track! After 4-5 service technicians who could never get the tiny screw replaced, Samsung replaced that refrigerator with another on 10/25/11. Now this refrigerator is a total lemon! I woke up at 3 a.m. one morning and my kitchen, hallway, bathroom, and family room were flooded because the water valve malfunctioned! The replacement refrigerator was less than 1 year old! I had it repaired under the manufacturers warranty. Now, on 3/24/12, the water valve and icemaker have gone out! Today the technician came to install the water valve, but guess what?! To install that valve, the water filter housing needs to be ordered and replaced also. Thank god I bought the 5-year extended warranty! All totaled, if I have to pay for the second water valve, it would cost me $766.26! To date, there have been repairs done, either under manufacturers or extended warranty, in the amount of $1,265.64! The replacement refrigerator was valued at $2,186.28! I have been without ice for over 3 weeks, and by the time that it will be up and working, it will be over 1 month! I would never recommend or buy a Samsung refrigerator ever again! I cant even stand looking at the thing, and I want it out of my house!

He sent out a new microwave and prior to installing it, I noticed that there were also visible white paint repairs but not as many as the first one. We agreed to accept the replacement. Post installation, my husband and I did extensive traveling. Given the time we were gone, I would say the microwave was used approximately 1 year. Yesterday, the microwave quit working. Approximately 2 hours later, I checked it again only to notice that it was very, very warm. I unplugged it and then plugged it in again. The lights went back on the panel but it was very noisy. Within 15 seconds, all lights went off again and it did not work again. I opened the door and realized that the glass plate was very hot. We thankfully took an extended warranty on all our new kitchen appliances but I can honestly say that after reading all the negative reviews on this model, I do not feel safe with it. I will definitely unplug it when we leave our residence for extended lengths of time. I would not recommend this model to anyone. Too bad there isnt a Lemon Law for appliances like there is for autos.

Last night we heated a piece of pizza in our SMH9187 Over the Stove Microwave (about 25 seconds). The microwave got extremely hot and wires started smoldering. The control panel went completely dead and the internal sides were very hot (as well as the glass rotating plate in the microwave). We had to unplug the unit. Fortunately, there was no fire, but the microwave is dead. The unit is three years old. I cant believe that this happened to a relatively new microwave. Samsung should place a recall on all these models and reimburse people for their purchases. What an inferior product!

I bought all Samsung appl. when we built but Im having second thoughts... the refrigerator (side by side with water ice on outside) is not all worth the $$. The size gets cramped inside without a lot of shelving room and the outside ice dispenser always clogs and you stand there for minutes until the big globs of crushed ice falls out because if you dont get it out when you open the fridge door it all falls on the floor. We use the full cube but when clogged it crushes inside. The lower freezer is great... very roomy and stores more than avg. I would explore other brands.

Model RF217ACWP. Bought at Best Buy 2 1/2 years ago. Same water in crisper problems experienced by other Samsung owners. But, also, the paint is peeling off all three the door handles big time! Of course, Best Buy has never heard of anything like this before. Also, Samsung said this was the first they had ever had such a problem and were surprised at our photos. Of course, it is a cosmetic issue and they will do nothing. We are told to purchase new handles and were referred to a parts company who claim they are not part of Samsung. They havent told us the cost. We are thinking removing the handles and taking them to an auto body repair shop to be repainted. Think that will work? It seems with all of the lawyers out there, someone would do a class action against Samsung since it is apparent they are selling a product with a known defect -- the water, freezing issue. Hey, where are the lawyers? Count me with those who WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY SAMSUNG!!!

First the motherboard went out and my clams, lobsters, and shrimp got spoiled. I had the insurance right? Ok. The Geek Squad gave me a new refrigerator with the display always showing when you go to open door get ice or water. Now ever since Ive had this fridge every year since 2014 in July the ice maker goes out and a new one is replace. I got tired of paying for the insurance and let it go in October of last year. Guess what. ICE MARKER WENT OUT AGAIN. THUS ITS THE 4TH YEAR IT HAS DONE THIS. IT COST WITH LABOR AND PARTS 419.00. I hate Samsung products. Where and when will there be a recall on this ** ice maker??? Ill make my own goddamn ice!!!

Samsung is giving me the royal run-around in trying to: * get a 3rd new replacement refrigerator. I bought a 5-year warranty from Home Depot, where I originally bought this refrigerator on 7/15/13; it arrived damaged out of the box; the 2nd refrigerator, which is sitting in my kitchen, wont make ice and the temp in the fridge doesnt get above 54.6 (so all food has spoiled!)* get my current fridge repaired -- TO NO AVAIL! I have called and spoken with 6 different Samsung reps -- one told me parts were on order from Via Appliance; another said well have to refund your money for the fridge but wont refund my $ for the 5-year warranty (I have to deal w/ Home Depot for that!), and yet another said they couldnt help me -- I have to contact their external affairs dept. but refused to give me a phone number. It seems the ONLY appliance repair company that Samsung has under contract in Northern Virginia is so backed up with Samsung refrigerator repairs from customers that theyre refusing to take new service requests from Samsung. There seem to be so many problems with these refrigerators that appliance repair shops are REFUSING to repair them -- even when NEW and even when THEYRE under contract with Samsung. Unbelievable!!! STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS!!! Theyre not only a piece of junk, their customer service is non-existent!

I bought the top of the line model of Samsung because I enjoyed their refrigerator actually... However, the gas oven is a nightmare. I thought having the two ovens would make my life simple... No it is not worth the effort. The ovens do not heat evenly. Half of the food always burns. The other half undercooked. The self cleaner only melted the knobs on the unit. The oven is still not clean. No one returns a call. Bought it at Lowes. No resolution there either. Please know bad product and dont buy appliances at Lowes.

Ive had a Samsung range for 4 months and am extremely disappointed with it. The black glass top is amazingly cheap for such an expensive range. It is impossible to keep clean and scratches very easily. I had my old GE range for 10 years and it still looked like new when I replaced it with this Samsung. In just 4 months, this range looks old and worn. Every pot scratches the surface. I only use the pad and cleaner supplied with the range and even that scratches the surfaces. Plus, any spillovers go down into the vents and streak the oven door glass. I contacted Samsung and they sent out a technician who took pictures and said Samsung would call me. Its been 3 weeks and no call.

My refrigerator is unsafe to rely on due to temperature irregularities caused by a defect in design that is well documented and well known by Samsung. There is already a class action lawsuit ongoing for this defect. I paid good money for a Energy Star, high quality refrigerator which I did not get. I did receive a refrigerator which causes food spoilage, does not do what it is supposed to and requires me to break ice away on a continuous basis. I require refrigerated medication to keep me alive. My disability makes breaking the ice away difficult and laborious. I bought the refrigerator from HHGregg which closed its doors. They came out twice to repair this same defect. I was not aware that the issue was a known defect until recently and I would like Samsung to be held accountable in cost for repairing this defect in their product. Samsung claims to be a company that cares. The Third party of Alorica is creating an atmosphere of deceit. I have asked for a Supervisor regarding this defect and all they send are anonymous emails with no one to contact.

Referred to Warranty services in TX. 7 - Tyrone/warranty dept states Repair’s documentation isn’t clear about who or what damaged the unit….warranty voided. We are the not so proud owners of a brand new broken microwave and I felt compelled to warn others. 494 bucks is 494 bucks and the fact is we paid them for a broken product and they didn’t make it right. Less than 2 years after purchasing our Samsung RF266AEPN refrigerator, the fridge started making VERY loud sounds. Turns out the evaporation coil in the back wall of the fridge had a huge build up of ice due to a poor design. This ice made it impossible for the cooling mechanism to function properly. We spent hours carefully melting the ice away and clearing the coil of ice, and putting everything back together. This has become a twice annual ritual. Now new symptoms have developed that will necessitate spending money to repair this piece of junk.

I purchased a French Door Samsung refrigerator. The refrigerator is dripping water down the inside back wall which pools under the crisper drawers and freezes. The first time I realized this the ice was nearly two inches thick and the drawers were hard to open. I called the company while at work, to discuss the issue and the representative input the phone # I called from and called me by a coworkers name, gave me their home address and phone number and began to discuss their previous concerns. This was private information and I asked for his supervisor. He would not allow me to reach the supervisor and I disconnected the call after 15 minutes of continuous requesting. That began my customer service problems. I contacted Lowes because I bought the item there with the extended warranty. Many hours, calls, and visits to the store later, they couldnt locate the warranty at first, and finally informed me that the warranty had expired and they could send a repairman out at my cost. I explained the problem being a manufacture defect. Per the Lowes manager, my model has not been reported as having the issue, but several other models have been reported with this problem. Turns out that you can pay $299 of $4000 for an appliance and the warranty Lowes provides is one year. Higher cost does not mean better quality or service.Back to the refrigerator... I was able to locate a video on YouTube of a gentleman taking the inside of the same model refrigerator apart to thaw/defrost the drain tube so the water would not pool inside the refrigerator. This self-repair job is not what I purchased when I paid $2000 for the item. I believe Samsung should be sued on our behalf by our government and banned from selling products in the United States. Where is the consumer protection in this country and why isnt something being done about the junk Samsung is allowed to sell in the U.S.? I will never purchase another item from Samsung! EVER! I hate to think of the damage they will continue to do to the consumers. The organization is out for huge dollars and based on the rating of 1 star, they are not interested in keeping the consumer. After all, the original sale is where they get the big bucks! My advice to all consumers is NEVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS, PERIOD!!! I will continue to share my experience any way possible to prevent as many people from becoming victims of this company scam.

This is accurate and fair. Here it goes. I purchased this refrigerator in 2014 from the Home Depot. I also purchased the 5 yr extended warranty (just in case). It all began with them delivering the wrong unit and it also had a hole in the back from a forklift. The delivery company left it in my driveway and drove off and in the process, ran into and wrecked my neighbors picket fence and would not share insurance information for replacement. Yes. HD sent two young men to pick up the fridge without a lift on the back so all of us had to heft this into a high bed truck to remove it. Ended up renting a truck and picking up and installing the new one ourselves. So I have had this refrigerator for 10 months and it stopped cooling in the fridge and the freezer. I want to add that the vegetable storage units do not keep the vegetables for long at all. They go bad after a couple of days. Back to the technicians, 3, yes 3 hours on the computer chat with a (3) tech(s) from Samsung to reset the OFF reading on the digital display. After 3 hours of attempting to reset and do all the bells and whistles to reset, the tech(s) then tell me that the panel is bad and needs a technician to go to the home location and repair it. They said to call Samsung to create a ticket. Ok, also called Asurion who has the warranty. They said they would create a ticket and send me a food loss form. Sent food loss form and then Im told that a reimbursement will not be issued until after the repair? I then call Samsung who tells me that there should be a repair person by Wednesday or Thursday (it is Saturday) and they would create a ticket. Then I called the Home Depot who tells me that if the issue was not solved by Wednesday or Thursday they would send me a check for the fridge or a new one? WTH? Its now Thursday (6 days after fridge quits) and no one knows about the problem or any ticket issued. I snapped. We then start all over. I am then told that it is a simple fix and I would have to pay for the repair? NO, NO, NO. I am then sent to the secondary customer person who then creates ANOTHER repair ticket and tell me that the repair person will call me in about 48 hours or so and cannot even conceivably come until next Tuesday or Wednesday. No we are into 11 days of this issue. So, this Samsung refrigerator has NO repair people in this area and yet they are continuously sold. Now what? I paid over $2,200 (on sale) for this absolute piece of mechanical scrap with the worst customer service ever. NEVER, and I mean NEVER purchase this refrigerator or any Samsung refrigerator, NEVER. Repeat that to yourself.

I bought the Samsung Refrigerator in 5/14 from Best Buy (I will not go to Best Buy for anything). I started having problems with the ice maker not making ice in a few months and continue for over 3 years. My neighbor was nice enough to explain to me that the frig wont make ice if the frig is not level. Call someone out to level it. The installer and the repairmen should know that. It still would quit making ice, but I was able to knock the ice off the ice maker and it would start making ice again. The last 2 weeks, I am not able to get the frig to make ice.Back in April, the frig sounded like it was in the 500 road race. I called a repairman out and said it needed a evaporator cool kit. It 2 months for him to get it. He installed it and 2 weeks the terrible noise again was back. Called the same guy and he said he could install another kit, but it would continue to have problems. He said that Samsung does not allow the repairmen to know much more about the frig. He said that the refrigerator will eventually quit running. I needed to contact Samsung. I did that and he couldn’t find any repairman in my area. What a bunch of crap. The service is terrible. The frig is awful. I did write the CEO and President Tim Baxter and I didnt get an answer. I hate to pay over another $2000.00 to get another frig in less 4 years time.

Pulled the bucket out to find large ice over on the ice maker itself. Since then, every 2 weeks we have to manually defrost our ice maker. About a month ago it started leaking water out of the water/ice dispenser. Now we have to wipe the floor and collection tray numerous times a day. If I could give zero stars, I would. Avoid this company and their dishwashers at all costs. The way they treat their customers is criminal. Here is my experience: On June 20, 2015 we purchased a dishwasher model DW80F600UTS/AA at Best Buy. On November 10, 2015 the dishwasher stopped working and we contacted Samsung and they advised a service technician had to be dispatched to repair. On November 20, 2015 a technician came out to our residence and informed us that the board had to be replaced. On February 25, 2016 the dishwasher stopped working again. We contacted Samsung and they were not able to find a service technician to replace the board. Samsung arranged to have the dishwasher exchanged for a new dishwasher at Best Buy. We received the new dishwasher (same model) on March 11, 2016.On February 1, 2017 the new dishwasher stopped working giving the same error as the first model. We generated a warranty service request. In this work ticket I requested that since we are repeatedly getting the same error with two separate dishwashers that we be refunded full purchase price of original dishwasher due to the problems with this dishwasher model. To keep replacing the boards or dishwasher every 3-11 months and the time it takes to get any resolution to our service issue is inconvenient. When the customer service representative called on February 2, 2017 I reiterated our position and requested to speak with a supervisor. On February 13, 2017 a supervisor called and assured us they could have the dishwasher repaired on February 17, 2017.On February 16, 2017 a call was received from an appliance repair company. I discussed the issue with the dishwasher and they said they would speak to a Samsung representative. I never back from this company. On February 27, 2017 I wrote a letter to the BBB regarding my customer service issue. The next day I was contacted by Samsung who promised I would have service on my dishwasher immediately. On March 9, 2017 Samsung contacted me regarding my satisfaction on the repair to my dishwasher. I informed them that it didnt happen as whoever they contacted to perform the repair never contacted me. I advised this person that I wanted to speak to a supervisor immediately.I havent been contacted yet, and based on my experience with this company, I doubt I ever will. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand. Just look at the length of time it takes them to respond to my service requests. Its been over a month now and still have a broken dishwasher. What company thinks that is acceptable? Samsung does.

I had an old Whirlpool fridge, probably close to 20 years old and was still working, but I was updating my kitchen and wanted to update the appliances. I got a good deal on a stove and dishwasher and microwave, so I was left with the fridge. I went to Lowes and bought a Samsung. Priced right and full of features and looked cool, boy was this a mistake. After 3 months and losing an entire freezer and fridge full of food, I lost all, probably close to $400 had to be thrown out. Samsung sent a repair technician to my house and he replaced the control panel, up and working again.About 5 months later stopped again, this time, at my expense $300 later and another control panel, working again. The water stopped, then compressor, then ice maker, now freezer. These Samsung fridges are junk. How they can even be sold is questionable. Samsung DOES NOT stand behind their products and there is no technical support, just a recommendation to call a repair technician. I have never had so much trouble from one appliance in my life. I would never recommend this product to anyone. DO NOT GET FOOLED BY THE PRETTY LOOKS. The guys are crap and technicians will tell you they are junk as well. DO NOT BUY!

Have owned my Samsung appliances for 2 years, 6 months. The dishwasher leaks from the front just like described by many others. I have found that when loading the dishwasher the last time before running the cycle, I physically push the front gasket all the way around the opening (just run my finger around it) and it lessens or stops the leaking experience. This of course is not acceptable performance but it may help others until they replace their Samsung Dishwasher with another brand as I will do soon rather than spending any more money on this poor performing product. I will say, I LOVE my other Samsung appliances - Refrigerator, Stove/Oven, and/or Microwave - they all work GREAT and would definitely buy again.

WOW - 25 bad reviews in just the past two weeks!! My story is ditto, ditto and ditto. My 2 and 1/2 year old RF261B fridge floods in and under the crisper with such regularity that I now schedule it to be swabbed out on the first of every month! In addition the handle fell off after only a year (and its only myself and my husband in the household so its not like its being abused). Fortunately, he is handy and was able to repair it.The latest problem is that the water dispenser - a feature I love - is now starting to stick intermittently and sometimes cannot be depressed by pushing the glass against the dispenser button, but rather I have to use my finger to depress it in order for it to work. We have always taken good care of our belongings. Our old General Electric fridge was still working great after 24 years when we decided to get a more energy efficient, modern-looking unit. What a mistake that has been! And we paid $1,750 for this constant hassle!Weve put up with this until today, when my husband blew his stack after our monthly dewatering. I contact Samsung Customer Service and she said they had no record of any problems with this model! I copied and pasted several reviews from this site and sent them to her. Since its now out of warranty, she said I could purchase a Samsung Protection Plus Rescue Repair program, which is a service option for consumers who are in need of repair on their product. It is a combination repair/extended warranty program. The program includes the both the cost of the needed repair, (all parts AND labor) plus a one year extended service plan. But of course, she couldnt tell me the cost! I have to call another number on Monday to get that bad news! The thing that irked me most is when she said she had the option to report this back to their engineers! What?! Theyre not REQUIRED to report consumer complaints of this nature to R & D!! I also told her that they needed to do a Google search of Problems with Samsung Refrigerators and see how many other people are reporting the same issues. Georgia of Albuquerque - Im with you! I think we should band together and file a class-action lawsuit. What do you other irate consumers think of this idea? Perhaps someone with more legal expertise would offer their opinion as to what they think the chances are of us winning something like this.

I have had the Samsung SMH9187ST microwave for just over 3 years now. Yesterday I got the SE error code. Tried unplugging and recycling which did not work to clear the code. We bought our french door/bottom freezer refrigerator model # RF20HFENBC in January of 2016. Just after the year warranty, we noticed our produce bins filling with water and the back wall was freezing too. We called Samsung, were told to level the fridge and that would take care of the problem. Well, it was already level, but, hubby releveled it. Within 10 days, the bins were still filling with water! We have read enough online to know that this refrigerator design is a lemon and a defect, so when we called Samsung, they tried to tell us that our warranty was expired, so we would have to pay the $129 service call fee! No way! We told them about the numerous complaints online, and how its the same exact reason, so they need to repair this. They set us up with a local repair shop called Unique Repair, along with a ticket for the service call, and said they would make sure to cover the cost of the service call... We had to wait 2 days to then set up the appt for the service call... When we called Unique Repair, they had NO confirmation of Samsung paying the service call fee! Since this first phone call, we have called Samsung 4 more times. Each time, its all a new introduction. Have to explain the problem, they deny saying they would cover the service call fee. We ask for a Supervisor to get on the phone, and then, are put on hold, and the customer rep comes back and says they will once again, cover the service call expense...Along with this aggravation from Samsung, their one and only repair shop, Unique Repair in the Chicagoland area, is just as bad, if not worse as far as customer service. They never answer their phones, so we are playing phone tag with them for the past 3 weeks too... They also canceled the first ticket without even telling us, while were waiting to hear from them. When we called about this, they tried to blame us, saying they canceled it because they could not reach us to set up the appointment! We are now waiting for yet, a THIRD ticket to be issued, and have demanded another repair place, we will not work with Unique Repair. Last night, a Rep finally said they will call us in 2 days with another repair company, after arguing with the guy for about 20 minutes, and explaining just how bad this repair place is, and that there are a bunch of negative reviews for them online too. Today, we get a call from Unique Repair asking about the new, current ticket!!!Another call was made tonight because of this nonsense, and we were told to expect a call in 1-2 days from Samsung with a different repair place. We do not believe them, and now, are contacting ABT, who sold us this piece of garbage! In our research, we found there are at least 2100 complaints on this design of refrigerators, since 2011. Another post said Samsung was going to recall these models as of last month (January 2017). When we asked Samsung directly about this, they said if the service person finds a part that is in a recall, we will be advised... We believe they string customers along, and lie, and do not follow through on anything they say. They do not seem to care about consumer satisfaction and about substandard refrigerator designs either. Before buying this last January, we researched online and this brand was listed as a good brands... We are so disappointed and aggravated, and will never buy a Samsung product again. We would like to know if there is a class action lawsuit against them and these refrigerators too. We have not been able to use the produce bins, so our family of five has a cramped fridge, and its just not right. For anyone dealing with these issues, you cant be nice, or they will string you along. You need to be very stern and vent your anger and demand repairs or speak to their supervisor. **Also, make sure you keep a log of dates and times you call them, who you spoke to... VERY important if there is a class action lawsuit, etc!!! Post your problems on their facebook page too, but, I believe they have removed every complaint about their refrigerators, because I do not see ONE, only on their electronics. We know there are 2100 on this page alone... I have summarized what I could here. There are more irritating details I did not share because we have a long list of our dates, notes, peoples names we have spoken to.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator in 2013. 2-Door Side By Side with Model
I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator in 2013. 2-Door Side By Side with Model # RS263TD1BP. This refrigerator was manufactured in 2012 which has a design problem. Ice builds around the cooling coils which allows the refrigerator to completely shutdown. The refrigerator only maintains temperatures at the bottom, and is hot throughout all levels of the unit. Apparently the sensor that is attached to the cooling system which does not regulate the system to adjust after it reaches a certain temperature. A service repairman removed the back panel and had to take a steamer to defrost the ice. It took over 55 minutes to defrost the ice and replace the back panel. This is a design and manufacturing problem. Samsung knew that this problem exist, but continues to put this product on the market for customers to purchase. The warranty states that this should be covered, but Samsung refuses to acknowledge that this issue is not covered, and is left up to the customer to pay for their mistake. I have contacted Samsung over 25 times, and cant get to the Executive Level. I am sharing my level of frustration because the average lifetime of any household appliance should be longer than 3 years. Refrigerators are suppose to last. This is a design problem and all of these refrigerators should be RECALLED! Customers that purchased the SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR THAT HAS THE BOTTOM PULL OUT FREEZER EXPERIENCE THIS PROBLEM several years ago and their units were replaced. Apparently, the problem is now existing in the 2-door side by side units as well.THERE IS A MALFUNCTION WITH THE COOLING SYSTEM. ICE BUILDS UP AROUND THE COPPER COILS WHICH CAUSES THE REFRIGERATOR TO stop regulating temperatures evenly throughout the refrigerator. The top and middle of the refrigerator is extremely hot and the bottom is extremely cold. Samsung should issue a recall of these appliances because they knew it was defected before putting these refrigerators on the market.Samsung Refrigerators are not constructed very well and apparently, this product does not have longevity. Too many consumers are complaining about this particular product. If complaints are being made, Samsung is aware of this malfunction and should take total responsibility and implement a recall. Samsung knew that this product was defective. A refrigerator is a household appliance that should last about on the average of 15-20 years. I sought out to buy a new refrigerator, a Samsung not because of need but desire. I was remodeling my kitchen, and I owned an Amana for 17 years. AND - this refrigerator never had one problem.

I have had issues with my icemaker since the day the warranty expired. Note that we are only talking a 1 year warranty! The on-line blogs all indicate that Samsung knows they made a poor quality product. I have a home appliance repair service that I pay a monthly fee for and they also acknowledge that people are having problems with the Samsung refrigerators all over the metro where I live. When I call into Samsung to have them do the right thing and replace a $110 part they simply indicate that the product is out of warranty. If you dont want to end up in my frustrated shoes dont ever buy a Samsung refrigerator.

I have had this refrigerator (Samsung RF217ACBP) for a little over two years. We have had to fix the ice maker twice because it keeps making ice even when the ice bin is full, then it malfunctions. We figured this out; now we just shut it off every night. A few months ago, we noticed that the veggie crisper has water in it. Now it is so bad that I cannot use the crisper. After research, I realized that it is a known issue. Samsung admitted to me that it is a known problem, but since my warranty is out, I would have to pay to have it fixed. Hows that for great service. I am chalking it up to dont ever buy a Samsung!

Samsung Microwave Model #SMH2117S, Serial # J65B7WOD602622A - I dont have an Order Number or Receipt because this was a gift. This over the stove model was purchased on 2014, a Mothers Day Gift from my kids to me. I am retired and on a budget so they surprised me with the stove and microwave. I was able to select the items in the store, Conns, and I decided to go with Samsung, believing it would be the best buy. Well, I was wrong. Samsung microwave went dead on me last week, June 2016. I woke up at 5am to crackling sounds looming out in the quiet of the morning. I had heard the sound before but not as loud as this time. I stood around the kitchen dining area where I had followed the sound and waiting to hear it and again I heard the crackle and then it stopped. I was unsure and couldnt pinpoint it, so I went back to bed.The next day I discovered my microwave was dead, all lights off. I could smell a burnt odor as I opened the door. Came to realize that was the crackling sound. I thank God that it didnt start a fire. I contacted Samsung and of course, the microwave is out of warranty and after much of almost begging on my part, they offered to pay for the parts. The service is $80 for trip and diagnosis and $80 for labor, so Im stuck. A brand new microwave and still have to pay out of pocket for a defective appliance that now Im not sure if I can trust to run even after a repair if it can be repaired. What a disappointment. The microwave I had before was almost 18 years old and was still working properly. I just wanted new appliances. I wish Samsung would stand behind their product and make it right. There are too many dissatisfied customers.

Poor Samsung customer service! My dishwasher was broken after using it for second time. Fine! A technician came and reported it as an unrepairable issue in Jul. Then, it took 2 MONTHS to get replace approval! However, I got a call from Samsung after confirming with me to replace a new unit in Sep, said there is no available inventory near my area (Baltimore, MD), We (Samsung) are gonna refund you the dishwasher. So far (Oct), the case is still pending, the broken dishwasher is still in my kitchen! Never and ever buy Samsung products!!! Terrible customer service!!! Poor internal communication!!! On 21 January 2014 I purchased a Samsung 924L 4dr ref steel fridge for a lot of money. Approx some time in September 2015 had to ring Samsung to inform them that I had no ice. I was taken to the Philippines and spoke to a representative who explained to me that they would send someone out from Nerang to look at the fridge. (By the way I did purchase product care which meant that the fridge was under 6 years warranty.) A person after 3 days came out and was late for their appointment (didnt apologise) and said that the fridge had ice and that I should not touch the button on the rhs as this would cause problems and that ice would not produce if the temperatures were wrong. (I was dumbfounded that Samsung would put a button on their fridge and that the consumer should not touch it.) I was also informed that if I had created the mistake I would have to pay for it (do you believe this). I agree that I touched the button after reading their manual for troubleshooting ideas but I dont believe that I had anything to do with breaking this fridge (disgusting customer service representation on their part). I then, after about a week and a half was stuck with the same problem and therefore contacted product care. I was quite taken aback when I was spoken to by a representative from Australia and not overseas. I then realised that I had contacted Samsung direct the first time. The lady I spoke to was very nice and informed me that even though I still had my original warranty with Samsung Product Care was the necessary component I should have spoken to at first. Well, anyway they then informed me that they needed to send out a repairman to see the damage to the fridge. I was very happy about this but asked them if they would not use the company in Nerang and she then told me that this company was not on their records and I could choose a company from Tweed Heads or Southport. I chose the Company from Southport and a gentleman came out within a couple of days and informed me that my ice maker was broken. He suggested that since I had a replacement option it was probably better to do that. I was then informed by him to ring Product Care to let them know that he would be sending his report through asap. I did that the same afternoon and heard nothing for about a week. I was very frustrated and was told by Product Care that they never received the report from the repairman. I then contacted the repair service and was told that I was not able to have the report sent to me direct as it was inconceivable that they could do this. I requested to speak to a supervisor or someone in charge to explain why. This person, Camillia responded by saying that the report stated that the icemaker was broken and also the motherboard and because it was a big problem they had been contacted by Samsung direct and had been informed to deal with them direct and not product care. I find this ridiculous. Firstly I am the client, customer service should dictate that I should be fully aware of what is going on. Of course not, we are dealing with Samsung. Product Care rang me to inform me that this was nonsense and that I had been issued a full refund less product care and that I would get a new fridge asap. Firstly I needed to contact Domayne where I originally bought the fridge from and purchase another fridge which I did. I had to purchase another fridge and pay a second time for product care. I find this unbelievable. I must mention that I got a call from Camillia in regards to the above on my answering service to inform me that the matter had been escalated to a review centre at Samsung and that I should contact them. I find this incredible. Why are companies like this allowed to get away with treating their consumers so shabbily.

Samsung has continued to produce a defective ice maker for more than 10 years. The unit clogs up with frost & ice that prevents the unit from working. The plastic components including the ice bin and auger are very thin and developed cracks soon after use. Repeated calls to Samsung customer service do not solve the problem, they will charge you for a service call, but the expensive repairs do not fix the problem. A class action lawsuit remains open and unresolved. In the meantime user have to use a hair dryer between once a week to once a month to melt out the ice jam in the top of the unit. Samsung refuses to stand behind their product, and even worse continues to manufacture it.

We bought our Samsung French Door refrigerator with ice maker about two years ago. All was great until two weeks ago when the ice maker started leaking. The ice coming out was wet and just made a mess. There was no ice being produced in the freezer drawer tray either. Husband took it apart, found the tubing was frozen so he fixed that. We have ice in the freezer tray again but the ice maker still isnt working (despite resetting it and lower the freezer temps). We havent attempted to contact Samsung based on other peoples experience (that it was a waste of time). Disappointing since we too paid a ridiculous amount of money for the refrigerator. We also owned a Samsung plasma TV that bit the dust after two years. Done with Samsung. Also going to contact Consumer Reports as this refrigerator (and many other Samsung products) appear as top picks (which is what prompted us to buy this particular model).

I checked out what it meant on the internet. Found a video for a quick fix. Tried that. It lasted two days now Im having problems with it beeping and telling me to set the power level and turn it on. The 5E code has to do with moisture affecting the display panel. If youre going to make an over the range microwave make it sturdier. Of course theres going to be steam from cooking going up in to the microwave. Samsung should repair this problem for no charge. Not happy at all with these appliances. I was shocked when my brand new dishwasher didn’t do a good job washing my dishes and I often had to run them through another cycle or finish them off by hand. Then it got worse, the soap didn’t dissolve and none of the dishes were clean. I called suport and 4 days later someone came out to take a look at it. Said the motor was defective and was going to order a new part. No idea when it would be in. So unworkable brand new dishwasher - needs a new motor, and I am not happy with getting a repair.I request them to send me a new one. Good luck with that - apparently it has to broken multiple times before they replace it... Looks like I’m stuck dealing with a horrible product until I decide I had enough and throw it away. Buyer beware, the product is pricy, the quality is horrible and the company could care a less about providing a better customer experience.

I purchased a top-of-the-line Samsung dishwasher in August 2013. By September 2014 it started giving me an IE error (heat) code. I had purchased the extended warranty from Leons and they directed me to call their provider Transglobal Service to have a technician come and check out the unit. We had to make an appointment to have someone come and look at the unit... AND take a day off work as they dont make service calls on the weekend. When the technician came a week later, he was at our home for all of 5 minutes and said he had to order a part. (We had told him what the issue was... Why doesnt he have parts to fix this in his vehicle??) It took another 10 days for him to come back and we had to take another day off work to wait all day for someone to show up. From start to finish it took 4 weeks to have the unit fixed... This was right around Thanksgiving. The unit worked for about a month, and we started to see the IE code yet again, just in time for Christmas! We have now been without a dishwasher for 4 weeks again, and the technician is coming today to fix the same problem. I am thankful that there are only two of us at home, and we arent a family of 4 or 5 and this isnt a fridge or stove that has the issue. The level of prompt customer service received is totally unacceptable. It simply doesnt exist. If the unit breaks down again, Im going to start haunting Leons stores and speak with people who want to purchase appliances there and tell them of my experience. So disappointed in this product, but more in the lack of care the service company seems to have for the appliances they supposedly fix. Not happy...

At first the ice maker was the only problem. That happen about 6 months after we bought it. Next the repairman ordered a part that would fix it. It did not. When we called him back he said Samsung does not provide a repair manual and not many people have luck getting the ice maker to function properly. Then the whole control panel went out. I can not find a repair man to even come out to work on it. The food in the refrig. is freezing and the food in the freezer has so much frost on the food we can not eat it. I am very frustrated because, of course the refrigerator is no longer under warranty and I am at a loss as to how to fix the problem. I purchased a Samsung Microwave Model SMH8187STG from Costco on 19 MAR, 2011. The other day, I went to close the door, heard a snap and it wouldnt close. The plastic latch was loose. I called Samsung (even though warranty was over) to inquire about what to do, and was passed on to their Canadian parts department, where I ordered a new plastic latch piece for $2.99, assuming thats what the problem was. It would be sent to the dealer nearest to our town where I could pick it up at that price, or mailed to me for $12.99 (I chose the pick up). The parts person also helped by directing me to a website as to how to take the door apart to get at the broken latch. I discovered many other sites where people had had problems with Samsung door latches failing, SE problems, etc.Anyway, when I took the door apart and got the latch out, there were a couple of other broken plastic pieces also. I picked up the new piece yesterday, brought it home, and discovered from looking at some other websites that some people had to glue broken plastic bits back on the door in order to get everything to work (they apparently hadnt ordered a new part). My new part didnt include the other plastic pieces, as they had been part of the inside of the door! They were very small, and very thin, and were part of the guides for the latch, and one of them appeared to be the piece that would anchor the spring that would attach to the latch. Crazy glue or epoxy wasnt going to fix that piece well enough to allow a spring to re-anchor for the stress on the latch. My wife and I do not slam the microwave door, and at our age (mid-60s), we realize were now living in a throw-away society, but this is ridiculous! It looks like well need a new door, as the whole internal part of the current door contains these tiny plastic anchors. Samsung knew or ought to have known that these pieces would not stand up to repeated use over more than a few years before the stress on them would cause them to fail. Why would they not have used reasonably strong metal anchors? While Im not a lawyer, one would think that those of us that have had this problem would have a decent case in small claims court or in a class action suit, even though the warranty is over. Does anyone agree? Anyway, after reading the other horror stories and our experience, its the first/last Samsung for us! P.S. So far, we havent had the SE problem, but from the looks of it, we probably will. However, we bought ours at Costco, as mentioned, and they are very good at taking things back from dissatisfied customers.

Purchased a whole kitchen of Samsung product, dishwasher, microwave, range and fridge. So far in a little over a year the microwave burnt out, and the dishwasher has broken down twice, drainage pump and washer motor. Samsung is a piece of garbage. Anyone thats thinking of buying this brand DONT. YOU WILL BE SORRY AND SAMSUNG DOESNT CARE.

I had written earlier regarding Samsungs positive response for my request for service but they performed even better when I encountered additional service problems. The service tech they selected wasnt responding to my efforts to do the job. I called Samsung and reported the delay. After that call, they called me every day to determine if the rep had set up an appointment and offered to give the job to a different technician. I asked for another service center and they set it up and in 2 days, the microwave had the control panel replaced at no cost. The service rep was timely, called me in advance and finished the job in less than 10 minutes. Best effort by a major company ever!

In reading all of the problems with Samsung microwaves catching fire I am not sure a call to Samsung will be worth the hassle. I am just thankful I was in front of the microwave and saw the flames. I will buy a new one and IT WILL NOT BE SAMSUNG. Live and learn I guess. I also bought a refrigerator and stove. Really worried about those now too. Its a good thing that the average consumer is made of money. Shame on you Samsung.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator, (Model #RS22HDHPNBC), June 16th, 2017 from Home Depot. The purchase price at that time was $2059.74. This was the second purchase of the same Samsung model which indicates that I was moderately pleased with the first refrigerator. Exactly one year and twenty days from the purchase date, July 6th, 2018, both the freezer and refrigerator stopped functioning. On July 6th, 2018 I contacted Samsung Customer Care to report the problem. I received an email from Customer Care notifying me of the assigned ticket number and an authorized service center. On July 11th the service center, Lakes Electronics, made the first service call to address the problem. It was determined the u/v dryer should be replaced and said part was ordered. On July 13th the repairman returned to replace the u/v dryer and recharge the system. On Tuesday, July 17th I noticed neither the refrigerator or freezer sections were adequately cooling. On July 19th the Lakes Electronics repairman returned and determined the evaporator should be replaced. He ordered the part and indicated it should be in the following week. He advised us that he would be on vacation and we chose to wait on his return for installation since he was familiar with all that had previously transpired. He was to return the week of July 30th. On July 20th the repairman texted me and informed me he had spoken to his office about ordering the evaporator and all should be ready for installation upon his return. On Monday, July 30th I was informed that Lakes Electronics did not have the part. Wednesday, August 1st I was told the evaporator would be delivered to the service center by Thursday the 2nd of August in the afternoon. On Saturday, August 4th the Lakes representative came to install the evaporator. He discovered the wrong part had been shipped from the Samsung warehouse and it would be necessary to reorder the part. Wednesday, August 8th the part was delivered to Lakes Electronics warehouse in Gainesville at 10:57 AM. On Thursday, August 9th the repairman returned to my home to install the reordered evaporator. On Friday, August 10th I noticed the unit was not sufficiently cooling or freezing and notified the repairman. On Tuesday, August 14th the repairman made another service call to conduct additional tests. He then determined the refrigerator was not repairable and furnished me with an exchange number, (**), furnished by Samsung. Wednesday, August 15th I called the Customer Care department and spoke to Linda. I was told I had no recourse since the refrigerator was just over one year old even though the sealed refrigeration system has a five (5) year warranty by Samsung. If the unit is deemed to be not repairable by your authorized service representative I would argue that it should be replaced or a refund issued under the coverage specified by the warranty on the sealed refrigeration system.I am extremely disappointed in Samsungs lack of concern and failure to stand behind their warranty. I have not even mentioned that I was without use of a refrigerator for 38 days due to the inefficiency of the staff or the service center. I can assure you that Samsung has lost a customer, (three major Samsung products), and I will no longer recommend any of Samsung products to anyone.

I have contacted Samsung to report this issue. They wanted to send a tech out on our dime to check this problem out. I told them no way! This is clearly a manufacturing issue. The mold is between two pieces of plastic and you cannot get to it without destroying the icemaker. The ice machine is located in the fridge and you cannot get to the actual ice. We have found pieces of mold in our ice. This cannot be safe. Samsung customer service was by far rude and not wanting to really listen to our care about this issue.

I have this fridge for 1.5 years. Love the size, but milk is always going sour before the expiry date; cheese molding; and leftovers didnt last. Rationalized all these things - must be leaving the milk out too long, must have dirty kids hands touching the cheese, etc. Because the digital temperature reading said it was 34 deg in the fridge, it must be accurate right? Wrong! Verification by 3 separate mercury and digital thermometers show that the fridge compartment temp runs 40-50 deg and thats in winter (wonder how warm it had been running last summer!). This is everywhere in the fridge compartment, top shelf, bottom shelf, door, right next to the ice maker, etc. I cannot find any place in the fridge that runs less than 40 degrees. In hindsight, no wonder food was spoiling! The fridge programming will not allow the temperature to be set any lower than 34F. Service technician has replaced the main control board and the digital touch screen assembly. Have not resolved the problem. I phoned Samsung customer support and was only told that since the factory warranty is expired, they can and will do nothing. Suspecting a design flaw that they are aware of. I will update if ever fixed. Freezer and flex-drawer hold reasonable to programmed temperature (generally 2-6 degrees above programmed temp, sometimes 10 degrees higher), but those compartments have larger programming range. Can program the freezer to -8 and the flex-drawer to 29, so even if they run higher than programmed, it is OK for food storage. But even with fridge set as low as it will go (34), it still is too warm for safe food storage.

Bought my Samsung dishwasher in June 2014. This morning, got the error code LE. I couldnt find any leaks. Checked out all the reviews on this site. I cant find my bill, so to avoid paying for repair costs and all the hassle, I will get rid of the dishwasher and buy a Bosh dishwasher. Another thing, when my Samsung fridge/freezer arrived, it had a big dent.

Purchased a fridge in August and the door has a chime that goes off all day long. Called Samsung and they have sent a tech to my house 8 TIMES. And the fridge is still defective. Every time I call they want to send a tech to my house again instead of replacing the unit. Customer service with SAMSUNG is TERRIBLE. HORRIBLE.

Bought this RF261 French door/bottom drawer fridge and dishwasher in same style in Sept 2012. Within a month or so we found accumulated water in the drip pan under at the bottom of the fridge. Now the ice maker has failed and consumer service fix (reset button) did not work. Dishwasher does not clean well even with pre-rinse and accumulates sludge under door. No more Samsung products for me!Updated on 12/28/2015: We found only two appliance technicians in our area who would work on a Samsung; one had to come 70 mi. one-way, and the other was Sears. The Sears technician quoted a price of nearly $900 to repair these two problems. We also bought a matching Samsung dishwasher, and although it works, it doesnt clean well, and the door gasket collects food debris and stinks. Since both are out of the warranty period, Samsung wont do anything. I will, though: Ill never buy a Samsung product again.

The dishwasher has NEVER cleaned the dishes well. You have to wash them before you put them in the dishwasher. A repairman came out to fix it under warranty after a month and could not find anything wrong with it. It leaves food on the dishes and silverware. It has features similar to others of this price range, but they arent labeled very well and you are left wondering if you did something wrong to make the dishwasher clean so poorly. Normal dishwasher size. I would never buy a Samsung product again, whether it was a phone, a TV, dishwasher, anything.

OK so we have a really nice over the range Samsung microwave that decides that its going to turn on by itself. The microwave got so hot that the glass plate inside broke when my husband opened the microwave door. The glass almost hit him in the face when it broke. He immediately unplugged it. However Samsung believes that because the warranty is up they are not responsible to replace or repair the damage. We will see about that!!!
