Overall, the Samsung has performed well. I have an ice maker on the door and in the freezer so the issue I am experiencing is not catastrophic but is annoying. Intermittently the freezer ice maker stops working. Internet research indicates this is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators.

Beautiful stylish look, silent operation, and gets dishes clean, powerful enough for even the toughest of stuck on food, and no spots on glassware, yes it’s pricey but it looks good and does what it’s supposed to. And the best part is it’s backed by Samsung customer service, and customer service is the key factor for me.

I purchased a whole suite of Samsung products less than 2 years ago. The washing machine has a slow leak, the oven works ok, however the fridge is a nightmare. Dont expect the ice maker to last more than a year. Also the freezer gets pretty heavy when loaded and the handle is held on by a flimsy piece of plastic. Ours broke after a year and a half and we were told that it is way out of warranty. I kind of expected a handle to last more than 19 months. On top of that there is no easy fix. It isnt just replacing the handle. Its all of the mechanics in the door, they actually told me via chat that this is not something you can fix. It needs a service call from a licensed Samsung repair shop. So hundreds of dollars just to fix my door handle. Upon searching this issue there are hundreds of people with this problem. Samsung has great electronics but I will never buy another Samsung appliance, theres a reason they are generally cheaper than the rest.

I bought a fridge, model RB194ACRS, and after one year, my fridge stopped working. I called Samsung and they told me that they cannot fix my fridge because they dont have a service technician in our area. DMT300 Dishwasher - Low water level error. Over and over since the machine was just over a year old. Most problematic appliance I have ever owned. Can fix it by cleaning out the level switch assembly. I have done this 3 times. Had to pay for a manual to learn to press HEAVY, DELICATE, and POWER together to get into the diagnostic mode. The manual supplied with the dishwasher is pretty much useless.

STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG APPLIANCES! In 2015, we installed Samsung appliances in our kitchen in conjunction with an extensive remodel. Worse move we ever made. Boy do I wish we could turn back the clock. The dishwasher failed 2 months after we installed it, and we literally had to give up our first-born child to get a replacement unit even though it was still within the 1 year warranty. Next, the element in the oven failed (3 times to date) as well as the control board which set us back $250. The microwave has always had a mind of its own, and will often beep and turn lights on and off during the middle of the night. Since it still seems to work, we are leaving it alone. Finally, the ice-maker in the refrigerator door freezes up and causes a mess, and needs to be defrosted once a month. Apparently, this is a very common problem with Samsung refrigerators. Another reason to stay away from this product. Amazingly enough, we contacted Samsung no less than 10 times regarding these issues and the response has always been your appliances are out of warranty, too bad so sad. If you are planning on purchasing Samsung appliances, I would highly recommended you do your research first and go with another brand! I for one will NEVER buy their products again.

Dont want your stove to catch on fire or your house? Dont buy a Samsung Smooth Top Stove with Double oven. I learned that hhgregg sold me a Self-Cleaning Oven by Samsung but did not disclose I cant use it because it gets too hot & locks. Only a Tech can unlock it if it has not burned 1st. I purchased it (3/2015). Samsung cant figure out how one can self clean the oven! I was told NOT to use that feature. Use EASY OFF instead. True. hhgregg in Columbia SC at Harbison Blvd. was not helpful when I asked to exchange the stove for a make where the stove does not catch my house on fire or explodes. Google complaints against Samsung. Its not an isolated case. hhgregg sells a self cleaning oven that can catch on fire but does not disclose that! Buyer BEWARE!UPDATED ON 09/24/2015: Update on my original complaint: I contacted Samsung twice and explained what I had learned on this site about the Samsung stove NE58F9710WS and also that the tech they sent to my house told me NOT TO USE THE SELF-CLEANING function as the stove gets too hot and locks up. He then was to come out to fix it. Instead to use Easy Off to clean it. I have not used Easy Off to clean any of our ovens for a very long time. Why do I buy a stove that is self-cleaning if I cant use it? With installation $2,500 and clean it myself? Next step is the Federal Trade Commission, to let them know that this is false advertisement and a hazard for sure. They need to recall this stove. Second call from their service tech was to tell me why should he come out when we both already know the answer and Samsung does nothing. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT if you hate to be aggravated and waste your money. They dont care about their customers and do not service them well! Piece of junk. Top scratched when my husband moved a pot from one side to the other and I cannot get it clean for the life of me. I had several smooth stove tops and they came out as sparkling clean. Not this one. Buyer BEWARE!

I am having the same freezer issue with my 2 1/2 year old Samsung refrigerator! This is ridiculous! I replaced my 14 year old GE Profile refrigerator with this one! I never had an issue with my GE and Ive had nothing but issues with my Samsung appliances. A couple of months ago, the dryer had an electrical (NOT lint) fire so I had to buy another dryer and chose to replace my Samsung washer same time...and they were only 4 years old. I called customer service and she asked Anyone hurt or was there property damage? When I said no, thankfully I was at home and unplugged it before the fire trucks got there... she said... sorry. Your 4 year old dryer is out of warranty! She wanted to document any damage in case there would be a lawsuit. I dont care if its out of warranty or not... NO appliance should catch on fire. I dont care how old it is! Now... my freezer is not working and I lost all my frozen food. I called Samsung last night when I discovered it and she tried a couple of things with me then referred me to a dealer that is 2 hours away! They need to own it and take responsibility by providing recalls/repairs. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again! Samsung does NOT stand by their products. Period.

We constructed a new home and purchased a full set of appliances made by Samsung and have had major regret with the decision. We purchased extended warranty and have had to use the services on most of them. We have now had to change to a different manufacturer of dishwasher that the warranty has just ended. Now the fridge door needs to be replaced as the lower shelf mount has broken and the mount is part of the entire door which has all the electronics integrated. The shelf above that one is broken as well. We just called Samsung support to ask for support prior to filing a complaint and they offer none, only a toll free number for parts. As a result of our experience we will never purchase another Samsung product. Completely dissatisfied.

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator a year ago. Within that year our ice maker has broken twice. First they sent a repair guy. He fixed it and 6 months later it broke the same way again. We called and Samsung said sorry it’s out of Warranty. It’s a year old and the ice maker is still frozen up and sometimes melts and drips water. It costs a lot out of pocket to get it fixed. On top of that the middle drawer electric cords that operate temp was pinched so that didn’t work. Also I don’t think the fridge runs at the correct temp! We filed a complaint with BBB in the state they are made. We haven’t heard anything back. I will never buy one again! Don’t even want to Win one I would Rather have a Whirlpool or GE!

I want to share one of my WORST EXPERIENCES IN LIFE with you. If you really want experience non-professionalism and unethical attitude of the company towards customer grievances, then buy Samsung product especially Samsung refrigerator. I want to share a personal experience of non-professional and unethical attitude of this company, i.e. Samsung which is one of the top most brands in India and across the world. My refrigerator has been out of order for the last one and half months. The authorized service center of Samsung informed that my refrigerator cannot be repaired as company has stopped manufacturing small part. We purchased the refrigerator on 08.04.2011. Just 5 years after the date of purchase, the refrigerator started malfunctioning. The authorized service center of Samsung was contacted who took more than a months time to inform that the defective part cannot be replaced because company has stopped producing it. I was surprised how company can disown the responsibility of providing spare parts after 5 years as hardly anyone replaces refrigerator in India after 5 years. In fact, the CEO of the company who claims that if any customer has any grievance they can directly contact him and the same will be resolved immediately also did not bother to reply the mail sent to him or get it resolved. I am sharing this WORST experience with you so that it may reach as many people as possible. I request you to please share with your friends, colleagues and all known unknowns so that they can be warned about SAMSUNG PRODUCT.

I had a GE dishwasher for 15 years and it worked well but I wanted a new stainless steel one. I purchased a Samsung from Best Buy. It is hard to believe how unhappy I have been with this appliance. I have paid $357 so far to continue to have it fixed and it is not quite three years old. Today I am having it hauled away as I am cutting my losses. Samsung should not be in the business of appliances if they cant do any better than this. It did not clean the dishes well, it did not dry the dishes well, and it was of poor quality but yet cost a lot. I will NEVER buy Samsung again.

I did not do any research. Shame on me! Freezes up below crisper drawers. I did as suggested on previous posts - emptied everything, cleaned and removed ice from panel, vents and everything. I used a hair dryer to melt everything faster. I had temp a few degrees lower than recommended, but then I set to the recommendation. Two months later, big ice below the drawers - not in the vents (yet, I would assume). Bottom line, do not spend $2,000 on Samsung products. Unfortunately, I have to condemn the whole company. As someone did post, lets get a class action. There too, the lawyers get all the money and we get small compensation.

As the previous 150 purchasers of the OTC Samsung SMH9187SW Microwave, I purchased mine 12/2011, and it has stopped working 2/2013. Since it is out of warranty, I didnt even bother to contact Samsung because Ive had mine for 26 months and knew that if I wanted a Samsung certified repair person, it would cost more than the original price. I live in the San Francisco Bay area so I found a repairman with 135 5 STAR reviews. I told him my problem and he said he stopped working on microwaves because it was cheaper for customers to replace them. He also said he did not know of anyone that he could honestly recommend. So I found this site and followed the advice of the few people that were able to get theirs up and running. Unfortunately, none of the suggestions helped; I tried unplugging the unit, pushing clear and start simultaneously and finally unplugging and resetting the blue and white plugs on the control panel.I had thought of buying a different microwave except for the fact there is not one single microwave under $1,000 with a customer rating above 2 stars. Even the Best Buy rated microwaves in Consumer Reports, Epinions, Amazon, etc. didnt receive positive reviews from the actual consumers. So now I am going to order the control panel (not from Samsung directly) and install it myself. I dont see any other option since I dont want the expense of another microwave plus installation and then worry that another problem will occur no matter what brand I buy. My 1st OTC microwave lasted 20 years, the 2nd for 10 years and now 2 years! I most definitely would like to be involved in a class action suit. One interesting side note: Consumer Reports still list Samsung in the top 4. From now on, Im going to the actual user reviews listed at the bottom of the rating page!

What a huge disappointment with my less than 3 year old Samsung Fridge!!! And their aftercare service! As soon as I bought this refrigerator, Model # RF24FSEDBSR/AA which costed me $3,400 started having a problem within a week from the installation. Samsung sent me 2 different the 3rd party vendors to fix the problem since the 1st one couldnt. These two 3rd party vendors moved around my refrigerator in order to take a look at the back at that time. For last 5-6 months my fridge stopped cooling and it was accumulating ice in the back panel along with lots water dripping on the wall panel. Foods were easily molding and spoiled. When I called Samsung, they stated its because the refrigerator is not leveled and eventually its ruined fan functions. My refrigerator stayed exactly how the Samsung repairman left little less than 3 years ago with the wheels touch ground which was causing unleveling and eventual ruining the fridge completely. Samsung was showing no apology nor remedy whatsoever since the warranty time is over. They were asking me to talk to the vendor who left the refrigerator unleveled even though Samsung is the one who hired those vendors 3 years ago. Extremely disappointed with Samsung product and their service. Never buying Samsung products again. Definitely I will let other people to hear my voice every chance I get.

Our dishwasher nightmare continues. We purchased our dishwasher in May 2014
Our dishwasher nightmare continues. We purchased our dishwasher in May 2014 from Lowes, replacing a Kitchenaid. The salesman at Lowes talked us into the Samsung when I specifically said, anything but a Samsung after a terrible experience with their refrigerator. He said that Consumer Reports gave it top ratings and led us to a specific model that had all the features we wanted. We reluctantly bought it but we got a great deal on it. Right after it was installed, there was water left in the bottom after the installer left. I assumed it was because he ran it through some abbreviated cycle so I loaded it, ran the dishes through a cycle and, when I opened it, the water was gone. I thought the problem was solved.About 4 weeks later, I opened the dishwasher to load some dishes and, again, there was standing water in the bottom but the smell was terrible. It was like a combination of old garbage and stagnant water. We called the service department at Lowes because we bought the extended service plan on the dishwasher. The man from A & E came over, looked it over and said - to make it so I did not have to pay for a service call - we will say it was food in the disposal and told me to buy a product called Affresh and use it once a month in the dishwasher. A few days later, I ran one of the Affresh treatments in the dishwasher and for 2-3 days, the dishwasher was fine. No smell, no water in the bottom. But then the smell came back.About a month later, another service man came from A & E and told me that there was nothing he could do about it because the problem was that the dishwasher was draining through my garbage disposal, and the water and smells were backing up from that. He told us we needed a plumber to put in another drain for the dishwasher! REALLY? This is the third dishwasher weve had in this home and the first that we have experienced problems like this with!We went to Lowes to talk to someone and were sent to someone in installation. There, another installer was sent to my house to take a look and he removed a loop that was in the flexible tube from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal. This seemed to stop the water problem. But the smell is still awful! A few nights ago I was loading dishes and my husband walked into the kitchen (about 20 feet away) and he asked me what that terrible smell was!I am trying to be patient and give Lowes a chance to help. I am trying to believe that Samsung will do the right thing. I am losing my patience and my faith. I am afraid to try any of the usual things like white vinegar, Borax, or anything else because the machine is only 6 months old. No more Samsung products for us. Not worth any amount of money saved for the problems they deliver!

At what point does a company read these and take action? Purchased Family Hub French Door 2.5 months ago. Freezer failed, lost everything, missed 4 half days of work dealing with 3rd party service companies who didnt know what was wrong or how to fix it. 14 calls with Samsung service department. 12 emails, in the meantime ice machine failed and now the upper fridge area failing. At $2,499 youd think they would care/value the experience and take action, but were on day 38 and still waiting for a remedy. I stood at Home Depot and personally persuaded 7 customers not to buy this fridge and they listened. Your ** product and service cost me lost wages and time during failed service calls so I figured Im only halfway to the break even point of costing you fridge sales. And I realize nobody in your service department gets paid enough to care, but hopefully someone in your product management and marketing team care enough to read reviews.

Purchased electric range in 2018 and 2 months after the warranty expired things started going wrong. When I use a burner to cook no. 1 is way too hot and I have to remove the pan to a cold burner. When I set the timer on 5 min. after setting the oven temp. it reaches 400 degrees in 2 min. which means it does not heat properly. My husband advised me not to use the oven as it could be dangerous. When I used the oven all the cabinets on the side of the range, the top cabinets and the top of the stove were super hot. The microwave which is above the stove was just as hot. After reading the reviews I am amazed at how things go wrong after the warranty has expired. When we purchased the range we were told after 3 years if we did not call a maintenance man to the house because of a problem we would be reimbursed 1/3 of the price paid for the range. Good luck on that one. I am now fixing meals in the slow cooker or microwave. My husband called Samsung to complain and he was told the warranty expired and it would be $100.00 for a house call then we had to pay for parts. We are in our late 80s and should not have to deal with a lousy product and lousy service.

We purchased this Samsung refrigerator R271 based on the name and also word of mouth from other people, a big mistake. This past Thanksgiving November 2012, we found water under the vegetable bins, then the freezer stopped working. I called the repair service, waited a week for him to show up, then another week for a new compressor. Five weeks later, at Christmas, it was the same thing, except now the freezer and the top portion of the fridge is broken. Purchased this refrigerator 12/06/13. Around 10/14 the whole unit quit working. Samsung did not use local Sears. I called for service 10/21/14 and a repairman from out of town that Samsung contracts with, arrived 10/23/14. A PCB and display was ordered and then he returned around 10/29/14 to install those parts. Over a week without a working refrigerator in my kitchen!! We have constant problems with frost build and ice forming in the freezer. This is the WORST refrigerator we have ever owned! Will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance!

After finished the year of warranty both products dont work well. One private technician told the smartphone galaxy 2 came from the factory with problems but Samsung doesnt want to change my phone with another brand new one. The same with the refrigerator.

I purchased 4 Samsung kitchen appliances August 1, 2014 when I moved into my retirement home. Since that time - within the first 18 months, my microwave had 4 service calls. Gratefully, I maintained my Home Warranty protection that was provided for the home and have renewed that warranty annually. The home warranty company ORHP - sent appliance technicians out and a Samsung certified technician who could not repair the microwave. Eventually, after 3 weeks they replaced the microwave with a Samsung upgraded unit. It is still working 2 years later. Now the refrigerator icemaker freezes up and I have to use a hair dryer monthly to defrost the ice build up in the icemaker box. The refrigerator is a French door model that has a flipper on the left door which locks in place that door when closing. It also broke. After reviewing some online videos, I ordered a small tension spring for $8 + shipping, popped the flipper bar apart, replaced the tension spring, and fixed the issue. Now, in September 2018, my dishwasher has broke not allowing the door to close and lock. The repair part is available and easily replaced so I had the home warranty company send out a tech who replaced the part on 9/12/18. On 9/23/18 after loading dishwasher after a BBQ with friends, the same problem re-appeared. To top that off, I recorded the dishwasher while in the rinsing and drying cycle so the tech can hear hit. I re-played the recording for my wife and daughter who thought I went to an airport and recorded a jet taking off or landing...the noise decibel level is high...My Samsung 5 burner stove - I find that the grates are not really safe and worry when the grandkids are at the home. When you put a frying pan or pot on the grates - they wobble until you position them just right. They are not made with enough cross members to support smaller pots or frying pans. On more than one occasion, I put an 8 frying pan on the grate to fry eggs and the pan just flops downward until the handle touches the stove or countertop. You need to counterbalance the pan with the eggs and position carefully. I am negotiating selling my 4 appliances to a relative to place into one of her rental homes and buying a completely different brand.

I have had this dishwasher for 3 years & it’s been repaired 12 times. It wasn’t cheap but honestly I wish I kept my older model Kenmore. Since day one this has been nothing but a headache, now it doesn’t turn on & I’ve been waiting for Sears repair to get the correct part. Twice the part that arrived was wrong. Now I’m being told not till the end of October are they expecting the part. Do yourself a favor DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS. I was even told by the repairman they should just stick with TV’s.

My Samsung refrigerator was ordered from Home Depot and scheduled for delivery on 12/2/2013 by 11am. At noon on 12/2/2013, I called Samsung at 855-681-6917 to find out what the delay was. I was told by Samsung that the delivery date had been moved to 12/3/2013 and given no reason for the delay. Later, I received the automated call telling me my new delivery time on 12/3/2013. At 9:30am on 12/3/2013, a representative named Trey from Samsung told me that my unit was damaged and would not be delivered. He would get back with me within 48 hours to let me know my new delivery date. Well, no one called so I called them three days later to find out the status of my delivery. They said it would be 3/4/2014 before I could get my new fridge. Sorry guys, but no one keeps my money for 3 months with no performance. I will cancel my order on 12/9/2013. Also note that when I place the fridge in my shopping cart on the Home Depot site, it shows an estimated delivery date in January. Whats wrong with this picture??? Its a big fat lie. Samsung has a problem delivering and I dont know why. I cant imagine what service would be like after the sale. Im done with Samsung appliances.

We use our microwave for cooking and reheating. We have had it for three yrs and it has always performed perfectly. We bought it as upgrade in stainless and it looks great in our kitchen! It is the largest microwave I have ever owned by far, but the main reason I purchased was the online ratings and reviews. My wife is as close to a five star chef as there is, but she works long hours sometimes. I point this out because she preps meals a week in advance for our family, so the microwave is used daily.

I bought Samsung refrigerator two years ago. The door shelf broke three times so far. The first two times refrigerator was under warranty so Samsung provided free replacements. This is side by side refrigerator and it has water dispenser. The water is constantly dripping from the water dispenser. Also it has a very slow flow. It also has ice maker, however, whenever you try to get ice, it just spills all over the place because the opening is too wide. Very poor design and quality. Samsung tried to sell extended warranty. I told them when this refrigerator dies I am towing it to landfill and I will never ever buy anything Samsung. This is an extremely low quality refrigerator that was selling for $1800. I also have Samsung microwave. Do I need to tell you that the microwave door broke in less than two years? It was the plastic hinges that are again very brittle. $200 to fix (50% of the original purchase cost). Shame on you Samsung for being cheap and using cheap brittle plastic parts.

I have done this three times now. I have been without a working unit since November 2014. Samsung built a lemon and they could care less about my hardship. Unfortunately I purchased a Samsung dishwasher when it was first launched so consumer reviews were not available then. I wish I had the foresight of returning the dishwasher immediately during the first month of purchase because my dishwasher never thoroughly cleaned my dishes. I was so amused by the lights and buttons that I ignored the dishwashers failures. After numerous service calls to the vendor, the repairman decided to replace the unit. Shortly after however, the dishwasher completely broke down. I wish we could make Samsung accountable for what they know to be a poorly produced and designed product.

Purchase this Samsung dishwasher for my new addition at the end of 2017. It has never been a good product. It does not clean well at all and in fact the first time I had a repair person out all they told me to do was to push every single button feature on the dishwasher and make sure that my water was already hot before I used it. It is a total piece of garbage. Now today I had to have another repair person come at the cost of $120. I was informed that the main power unit has gone out and just for the part is $450. Needless to say, I have to purchase a new one and it sure as hell will not be a Samsung. This is the worst dishwasher I have ever seen.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator in 2015. Within that first year I had Samsung repairs visit four times due to ice maker problems. They never fixed the problem. Thank goodness I purchased the extended warranty from Lowes. I had a warranty repair person visit over the same ice maker issues seven times. Each time I had to take four hours off of work to be home for the repair. The icemaker has been replaced along with several other components at least three times. Each time it breaks within weeks and still does not work. Not only does it not produce ice properly, it also leaks water down the front of my stainless steel and now I have permanent stains in my stainless steel refrigerator. Not Appealing! Purchasing this refrigerator has created significant financial loss for me and my family. Not only do I have an ugly refrigerator with water stains down the front of it, I cannot get ice from it, and I have lost several hours equating to several hundred dollars of loss work having to be home each time a repair person needed access to fix it. Purchasing a Samsung refrigerator has been the worst experience and the worst purchasing decision I have ever made.

Adding one more complaint to the 600 plus list of dissatisfied individuals
Adding one more complaint to the 600 plus list of dissatisfied individuals reports seems pointless but I want to share my experience and my frustration to hopefully shake things up, tell the manufacturers that allowing these products to remain on the market, knowing that they are failing and then telling people who have spent anywhere from $500 to over $1000 that they are now stuck with a useless appliance because the 1-year warranty is up is unacceptable. If this doesnt eventually end up as a class action lawsuit which is my next step, heres hoping I can at least deter someone who is considering buying one of these piles of junk to look elsewhere. I am a first time homeowner and was very excited about all the updated appliances that were coming with my kitchen. During the home inspection, immediately a foul odor couldnt be missed when opening the dishwasher (DW80F600) but after letting it run a full cycle it subsided and we chalked it up to probably being caused by sitting water and the machine not having been run for awhile. BIG MISTAKE. First cycle I did with dishes, the tablet was half-dissolved, dishes were soaking wet, murky and dirtier than they were when they went in with an assaultive sour odor to follow when it actually stopped running about 4 hours later. After some troubleshooting with bleach, liquid dishwasher detergent, rinse aid and running hot water before starting the machine with no changes it was time to contact the home warranty company that came with the house. They happily sent out a technician costing me a $100 deductible. He diagnosed that the circuit board was the problem and that it was causing it to stay in rinse mode. Then when I told him about the odor his response was that most of the newer dishwashers have that smell. This did not sit well with me but figured, maybe with the new circuit board the smell and other issues would go away. Part arrived, he came and installed it. Problem NOT solved with no improvements. Called again, asked for a different company to be sent out (and by the way good luck trying to find technicians who work on Samsung products, definitely a huge red flag). This visit, he said that the problem is the entire pump and needs to be replaced. So this is where I am at now and pretty confident that this dishwasher is going to be an ongoing problem, needing repairs constantly with mediocre improvements until my warranty is up leaving me stuck with paying for all technical support and parts out of pocket. And just a quick side note: I did call Samsung about the odor and the condition that the dishes were coming out in. The response I got from the representative was nothing less than infuriating but went like this: she was quick to tell me that the warranty was up and that unfortunately there was nothing they could do. Regarding the odor, she simply said that this was the first shes heard of this problem. And to wrap it all up she proceeded to tell me the proper way to load a dishwasher, that it is helpful to pre-clean the dishes before loading and to leave the door cracked to assist with the drying. Thank you Samsung. This whole ordeal has struck a very bad chord with me and anyone interested or knowledgeable about making moves towards class action please contact me.

I have purchased a Samsung refrigerator and freezer (twin type). It started creating problems and was not working properly, just after installing. The problems were: 1) The hand hold could not be fixed on the door of the refrigerator; 2) The water freezing unit does not operate properly. I tried asking other consumers and I learned that the water freezing unit basically has this problem. Although Samsung has a worldwide reputation, I regret buying this type of Samsung refrigerator. One of the worst appliances I ever bought. Samsung over the range w/ hood model SMH1816S. First microwave in 30 years I ever had to have repaired. And customer support on an issue with it was horrendous, and then non-existent. I recommend anyone considering this unit to finish off their kitchen matched set of other Samsung products forgo aesthetics and get something else. First, as others have stated on other review sites, the control panel is awful. It is hard to read and the buttons are set in such a way (presumable to keep someone from pushing a button unintended with cleaning the panel) that you have to press very hard in exactly the right spot. No feel and go with this unit. The food, in spite of the revolving turntable, does not heat evenly. The stainless steel, for some odd reason, is difficult to clean (exterior). We have had other stainless steel appliances from other companies that cleaned easily. Then, a short time after warranty expired, the unit failed to work. It turns out some of the factory work was not done well on the circuit board and a loose connection caused a short and burned out the primary microwave making unit. The dealer told us it was out of warranty, (barely) so we had it repaired, then one of their repair people said it was a defect, not a warranty issue and I should contact Samsung. Samsung used every excuse in the book, and finally said something along the lines of policy does not allow us to ever pay out of pocket expense, regardless of the cause or situation. End of story, end of Samsung. Later, a salesperson told me they have had numerous complaints about the unit. Samsung TVs are great. We thought the refrig, range, dishwasher, microwave would be good, too. Not happy with the other units, but at least they work. But I will never own another Samsung appliances!

Samsung RS267TDPN - Do your research before considering this model! I have owned mine barely 3 yrs and have had major problems with the freezer side two times. In both cases, the freezer side seized to cool properly. In this last round, the temperature was 25-40 degrees (f) and would not get any cooler which meant the ice maker also stopped working. The first problem was repaired while under warranty. For my current problem, I am now having to pay out of pocket to replace the evap temp sensor and the Heater sheath assembly due to burnt wires. These are part of the EVAP assembly and are located in the lower freezer section and behind a plastic panel thus I assume it to be a defect with the unit and not something that could have been caused by user neglect. I also owned a Samsung over-the-range microwave oven which failed prematurely therefore I now question the quality of Samsung kitchen appliances.

We purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher when we moved into our house in July of 2012. Within 5 months, there were 5 repairs done under warranty. Within a year, at least 5 more. Finally, one repairman told us the issue AND how to repair it. Samsung was no longer willing to cover any repairs as it was off warranty.Jump ahead to 6 years later and I myself have repaired the machine over 40 times. One of the cords that connects the control panel to the rest of the machine is too short so it gets pulled every time a wash is done. After a few cycles, it disconnects. Just have to remove a few screws and reconnect. We paid $700.00 Canadian, brand new. Samsung was not willing to cover more repairs after a year, refused a return, etc. I have documentation regarding my letters to them, as well as too much time spent on hold waiting for help. I finally just gave up. Washes well, I cannot afford another one at this point. Fed up beyond belief and no one was willing to help us.

I purchased the most expensive dishwasher at the store, it was a Samsung DW990044dBA. Over a $1000.00. I bought the best hoping for good results and little hassle. The appliance worked for 4 days only. There was over 4 service calls in 2 months, and lots of correspondence with Samsung, and my dishwasher hasnt worked for much of the two months waiting on service repair times. There were several issues with the top rack sticking, leaking through the door, and breaking down. My countertop has been damaged from steam leaking through the door, my floor has been damaged from leaking on the floor. Samsung wont compensate me at this time and have denied my request for a new dishwasher. Samsung is complicated and confusing to deal with as their departments dont talk or share files. A person needs to be good with a computer, and verbally strong to deal with this company as they require lots of communication, pictures, calls, time and patience. Samsung 3-Door Refrigerator Ice Maker - We purchased this in 2015. We’re disappointed in the icemaker from the beginning -- it did not make a lot of ice and ran out frequently. Then the icemaker started to freeze up periodically where we were unable to remove the ice storage box. Only by turning off the refrigerator were we able to defrost. On Monday, April 9, we called customer support for advice. I followed the instructions I was given and was assured that there would be a bucket of ice the next day. Wrong. The ice storage had completely defrosted. We noticed later in the day on Tuesday that the refrigerator was no longer cooling the frig or freezer areas. We called again on Tuesday and spoke with another representative who told us to do the same thing as the first. Nothing happened. After 75 minutes with this person, we were advised that we would probably have to replace the ice-making system, not under guarantee. She assured us that during this time, they were having one of their service people identify a local service location to assist. Then we told her that the refrigerator and freezer at least were working before we followed their instructions and shouldnt they be responsible for damaged food and whatever needed to get the frig and freezer working. She said to make an itemized list of the fold that was spoiling, take a picture and show the price. Didnt say they would reimburse, nor did she suggest any responsibility on their part for the problems caused by following the directions on the tech support. At this point, we asked for a supervisor. We were on hold for about an hour and finally hung up. We called again and were able to speak with a tech person who was able to at least get the frig and freezer working. The icemaker appears to be working now, but it will continue to back up and freeze, like it always does. This morning, another tech person called and asked if she could help resolve this over the phone. This was very disappointing, as I was expecting either a call from the local appliance repair place or perhaps the supervisor. This was unbelievable, and of course I was angry about how our problem was being handled. I mentioned that unless a supervisor was willing to call me back (I was no longer willing to wait for someone not to come on the phone), there was no longer a need for conversation. The tech support people were polite. But I will never, never again purchase any Samsung product.

The shelving and drawers are designed and made in such a way that makes them IMPOSSIBLE to clean and they trap meat juice, spilled whatever, crumbs, etc in crevices that are INACCESSIBLE so you cannot clean them! I bought our 4-door refrigerator in 12/11. About a month later, the right door bins started falling out. I called Samsung directly and ordered replacements. No problem. The wrong bins came so thinking I was responsible, I called and reordered them. About 3 weeks passed and I hadnt received them, so I called them again. I was told that the order hadnt been placed so I ordered them again. I still hadnt received them after another 3-4 weeks, so I called them again. I was told that they were ordered but they didnt know where they were? She placed the order again. Another month passed and I hadnt received them yet, so I called and asked to speak to their customer service department. The gentleman assured me that they were backordered (never heard that before) and that they were now in stock and he would ship them immediately. I called the following week to make sure that they had been sent. Some lady assured me that they were shipped on the 15th of September. That was September 15, 2011, today is 9/29/11. I havent received them yet so I called and asked for customer service again. This time, I got their executive customer service rep. I was told that their records showed I had received some bins in early July of 2011. No record of my corrected order. I explained to her that those were the wrong bins and that I had made several calls after that, reordering the correct bins. She just didnt know what happened but assured me that she was looking in to it. I had explained everything to her and then she asked me for my email address and said she would send me one regarding the circumstances. I asked her for a direct call instead and she said she could not make out going calls? That was this morning. Still no email. I called Sears, explained to them what had been going on. They said they had my warranty info and would send them out immediately. He repeated the description to me 3 times so there are no mistakes. He gave me his full name and direct number too. We always buy Sears products and I dont know why we bought the Samsung. Ill never do it again. They dont support their product in anyway. The only reason I gave it one star is because of the size. Thats it.

Samsung is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. The runaround is not unusual but outright lies which they refer to as misinformation. They offered me a store credit and went so far as to give me a number to fax my sales receipt to in order to facilitate said credit and later told me they dont even do store credits!!! Bought the dishwasher in 7/2017. Have had 3 repairs in 10 months and even when its working it does a terrible job and I want it removed and a refund. They absolutely refused despite repeated phone calls even up to someone at the office of the president who gave me the same line. NO REFUNDS, exchange only. No thank you. Absolutely disgusted with this company.

Bought on Black Friday 2011, waited 4 months for delivery. Six months later, noticed that the freezer door wasnt opening easily or closing all the way. Discovered the bottom of unit under the freezer door had ice building up underneath it. Busted it up & got it all out, freezer drawer worked perfectly. Few weeks later, it started all over again. Called Lowes, where it was purchased, & they told me no warranty, as it was now year since purchase date. My argument was that I had not actually had possession of it for a year, only 8 months. Got nowhere with Lowes, so every few weeks I get on my hands & knees & break all of the ice out of the bottom.I cant find any water leaks & have no idea where the freezing water comes from. Also want to mention that a piece of the cover for the above ice maker fell off at approx 6 months, and a piece of the bottom ice maker did the same at around a year. Got a great Black Friday price for this $2,800 refrigerator, but I wouldnt give 2 cents for another one!! My fridge before this was 14 yrs old & was Kenmore, it was ugly & outdated but worked way better than this new Samsung!!!

After 13 months and 1 month after the warranty expired. I called Samsung Appliances and reported that I had a software glitch. After the unit finishes a cooking cycle the LED Panel clears itself out, wipes out the memory settings including the clock and takes 5 to 10 retries to reset it. I purchased this at Sears along with other Samsung products including a top of the line SS side by side Fridge etc. This microwave is a top of the line over the stove SS model #ME21F707MJT/AC manufactured date March 2016. Samsung position is too bad. Out of warranty you pay for our bad software design and motherboard. They will not confirm if this is an isolated or general issue with this machine. Stay away from Samsung. They dont care. From this day forward I will never purchase another Samsung Appliance including the Galaxy Phone. My S7 which is ready to be replaced, also my pending purchase of a 4K OHLED large panel TV will not include Samsung. Going back to SONY. They are a bunch of ** and Issac the telephone rep apologized for my problems but that is all he can do. Youre on your own. I strongly stay away from Samsung. Dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/A. S/N B00AG9MD914188D. 4th repair ticket # **. We purchased a complete kitchen suite from Home Depot In Canton Ohio on 11/20/2013. They were delivered on black Friday and in the 13 months of owning this pile of appliance chunk I have lost 6 days of work, almost 8. Those lost wages could have gone to the purchase of a new dishwasher, not to mention dealing with the inabilities of Samsung Customer Service that couldnt seem to remember me and the same error 4 times (flashing delicate light). Of course they replace the parts, chasing an error that isnt in their manual because its an error that proves this unit is a lemon and they know it but they string you along telling you to unplug the unit for a couple of minutes and then plugging it in. Now I used to be a tech manager for a computer chain and that is the trick to reset the computer board inside the computer. Yes this dishwasher has some sort of motherboard if you will that needed replace on day 1 with all the other parts that were changed on this pile after this was built. In other words some people may have all the upgraded parts to the same model and are not having any issues, for the rest of us, were stuck paying for the recall. I have a complete Kitchen full of this Samsung junk, hell the phone Im using to type this review is a Samsung, which I thought was quality and comparable to an I phone. I will no longer support Samsung in anything they do. I will replace each and every piece of Samsung garbage I own and I will devote my energy into providing consumers with the reality of what Samsung is. They are a corporation that spit shines items to provide the illusion of quality, something that YUGO never did. People bought the car because it was cheap, same as Chrysler did with the K car. Consumers bought knowing that they werent paying for the name but for the car. Samsung has decided to have you pay for name because people recognize the name from cell phones and tvs. Trust me when I say this. They should not be in the appliance business, people should stick with the products their ancestors bought. Maytag, Amana, Frigidaire, and even Kenmore. I apologize to my late grandparents for purchasing this junk in the first place.Oh, and to you Samsung! You have lost another customer for life with your poor customer service and inability to relate to the consumer. By the way, your call centers need some help. Just another smoke screen for everyone to navigate. Good bye.

I called Lowes for service and they arrived three days later. The freezer quit cooling and also the refrigerators 4 compartment unit. They said it was low on freon, but problem is it takes 4 to 8 hours to cool and freeze. 12 hours after done it finally got to proper temps (-2 and 38). 6 hours later I unplugged it to move back where it was and when I plugged back in, the temp on the freezer went to 52 degrees and refrigerator to 52 degrees. After two hours the refrigerator is back to 38 degrees. Freezer is still 52 degrees. This doesnt sound like a good scenario because if the power goes off, it will do it again which everything in the freezer will thaw.

Warning! Do not waste your money purchasing this colossal pile of garbage (5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Chef Collection Range NE58H9970WS). It rarely bakes/cooks evenly and it will frequently and rapidly overheat causing your food to burn and ultimately fry the electrical panel. Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. Im going with the latter of the two. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again. If I could give is NEGATIVE STARS I would.

We will NEVER buy Samsung again! We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (RF261BEAEWW) in December 2016 and the unit stopped working in April 2018. Samsung initially informed us that the refrigerator was not repairable and asked for us to submit our receipt for replacement or refund. After submitting our receipt we were then informed Samsung needed more pictures of the refrigerator. They told us that the damage was corroded lines due to sulfur in the air. We have never had a problem with sulfur in our home. They said this is an environmental issue and not covered under warranty. The repair company even said that it is unusual to see this corrosion so soon and in our direct area. The lines on the refrigerator should have never corroded that bad in 15 months. We have never had a problem with corrosion on things we have had for years. Even with this information Samsung said they are standing by their claim and will do nothing to help us. We now have a 15 month old piece of junk Samsung refrigerator.

The freezer never shuts correctly, the ice maker sucks but today and recently over the past week it hasnt been cooling correctly even though the temp says it was okay. We unplugged it and restarted it and it gave us a more accurate reading of 50 instead of 34. After hours of trying to get it took work and numerous websites later we figured out that its not defrosting even though it is supposed to defrost itself. I contacted Samsung about how to take the glass out of the cover for the veg. and fruit bins. The tech told me to look at the manual, which I went to on the internet. He said it was on page 11, so I scroll down to page 11. I dont see it, he says he meant page 10. I go there. Its not there. Then he says Go to page 33, so I scroll down to page 33, which is no help. Then he gives me a confirmation no. The person tell me she wipes up her spills right away. I tell her that is not the problem, the liquid got between the edge of the glass and the plastic. She tells me I cant remove the glass to wash it. If this is the case, I am so sorry I purchased this fridge. I will make sure no one I know buys this from Samsung. The water dispenser is a continual problem with dripping water even when no one is using it. When you put your glass under the spout for crushed or reg. ice, the ice keeps coming and goes on the floor. I guess you can see I am an unsatisfied customer. We purchased our first French door Samsung refrigerator in 2011 not only because Samsung was a household name and I figured would make appliances that would outlast their warranty period but I also purchased the Samsung because aesthetically they stood out in comparison to other brands. Well I was completely WRONG about the quality and durability of Samsung appliances. Our first refrigerator was still under warranty and had to be replaced in 2015 because they no longer made the parts needed to repair the 4 year old refrigerator. This four year old refrigerator would make a loud humming noise as a result of a faulty fan motor. We made a second poor decision to purchase another Samsung refrigerator thinking they would have improved upon the issues they had with their appliances, but again we were WRONG. The issues were worse, see list of faults below that started in 2016 one year after purchase:1. Massive water leak behind the water dispenser that requires placing a large towel to catch the water to prevent potential slips and/or falls from the water from pooling on the floor. 2. The ice maker only makes a cup full of ice per day even when pressing the Power freeze button. 3. The refrigerator intermittently makes a loud humming noise.See list of actions taken to address the issues our 1 year old refrigerator is having: 1. Defrosted the ice maker by keeping doors open and using a hair dryer in order to speed up the process. 2. Sealed the crack between housing of the ice maker and the refrigerator with waterproof silicone. 3. Purchase 2- 10 lb bags of ice from Buckeyes twice a week. 4. Keep refrigerator door open for extended periods of time in order to stop the humming noise (yes we had food in it at the time) and speed up the defrost process. Even after initiating our own interventions, we continue to have problems with our Samsung refrigerator making a loud intermittent humming noise, making ice, leaking large amounts of water behind the water dispenser. The reason Im taking the time out of my busy day to share with you these issues is because Im disappointed in this product and to prevent you from making the poor decision of purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. Its not worth the money. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should spend thousands of dollars on anything that is proven not to last over 5 years. When I was growing up, my mother kept the same refrigerator from the time I was 10 years old until I graduated college. Of course repairs were required but as stated earlier, this is my second Samsung refrigerator in the span of 4 years.Yes we have a warranty but this refrigerator began to have problems a year after purchase, my expectations of Samsung setting a higher standard when it comes to quality appliances has not been met. We have had to spend time troubleshooting issues on a refrigerator that cant go the 5 year distance and take time from work to have it repaired. BUY SMART BY NOT BUYING A SAMSUNG FRENCH DOOR STAINLESS STEEL REFRIGERATOR.

A week ago, I used the broil setting on my newly installed Samsung Double Wall Oven. Within 5 minutes, the oven reported Overheating and a C-21 error. The oven was VERY hot. Of course, I immediately called support since the oven was under warranty and only a little more than a month old. It took a week to get service from Samsungs authorized repair team - Dish.com. I was dubious when the service person started looking up repair instructions on his phone. (Only one arrived for something I knew would require removing the 265 lb. oven) After reading the repair instructions for a while, he decided he would need help in removing the oven and called for a second person. After arrival, they proceeded to remove the oven. The stand they set up to support the oven wasnt secured and I watched as they dropped the oven on the floor and it proceeded to tip over and put multiple dents and scratches in the new Samsung refrigerator. So now I have a damaged refrigerator that up to this time was 100% scratch free. Once they replaced the control board (which is a part that shouldnt fail in less than a month), they started reinstallation. While reinstalling the doors that have to be removed to pull the unit out - they dropped the upper oven door. It landed on the latch of the lower oven bending the latch, so the oven wont close. Of course, in the process, the oven door finish was chipped. Not just scratched but chipped down to raw metal. This is all not to mention the dent in the floor and paint/drywall damage. So now going on the second week - I still have an unusable oven and the bonus of a damaged refrigerator. They tell me it will take 3 days to get someone out to look at the damage. No indication of when itll be made whole. As an architect and Director of Design with over 750 luxury apartment units on the drawing board right now - I wont be specifying Samsung appliances.

Samsung RF217 - I purchased this model (32) after installing a 36 Samsung in my mothers house. I was impressed with the larger model and expected similar results. My initial displeasure with this model was only two door shelves are full depth, so youre limited to 2 shelves that measure about 6x 10 for tall items. The interior shelves have little flexibility and only allow for a maximum height of 9.5, so a lot of my tall items have to lie down (and hopefully dont leak). But my main complaint is one month after the warranty expired (there is 5 years on the refrigeration system), I began noticing water in the produce drawers, a lot. I emptied and cleaned the drawers till today, finally Id had enough and spent 2 hours melting the ice that blocked the drain tube. Lowes would not cover the cost of a service call since it was out of warranty and Samsung will not admit they have a design flaw. If you research this problem you will find it is a common occurrence, so I cannot recommend this refrigerator or brand until they remedy my problem.

My gas stove NX583GOVBSR was fabricated in Oct. 2013. In Nov. 2015 the stove stopped working. It appears the control panel is the problem as the burners still work. If I try to set the oven to bake, the control panel starts making loud syncopated sounds and flashing lights. And it keeps doing this until I turn off the power at the circuit breaker. The Samsung customer service person has no idea what is causing this and will only send a tech for $100 plus parts. I stopped at Sears and they said the control panel may need to be replaced for $450 plus installation. Sears encouraged me to buy a new stove for $1700. The stove came with my house when I purchased it Nov. 2015 so it may have been broken before that. Previous owner did not purchase the service warranty. Last gas stove I had lasted over 15 years! This is ridiculous. Im looking for a class action suit after sending in this review.

We replaced the water filter, and we could not get the light to reset and go off. Here we are, a year later, and the refrigerator freezer has quit running. The door is reading OF. When I called Samsung, the representative told me it was in store demo mode. How it would have gotten there, I have no idea. It is just my husband and me in the house! She told me to hit a couple of buttons at the same time to reset it. Well, guess what? That didnt work. She then told me that a service man would give me a call within 24 to 48 hours to schedule an appointment. I talked to her on Friday afternoon and it is now almost 10:00 am on Monday morning, and I am still waiting for that call. I thought by spending over $2k on a refrigerator, it would last more than 1 1/2 years. What a big disappointment!

Our Samsung started making this popping sound three weeks ago. (2-3 pops per hour). I did a web search and found that many others are having the same problem. I called Samsung customer service, and was told the sound was Normal. I guess I am not quite understanding normal when it never made this sound before. I just wish Samsung would take our complaints and concerns more seriously. The sound can be heard throughout the house, its as if someone was sitting behind the fridge popping balloons. We never hooked up our ice maker so its not that. I will say that the fridge works fine in every other way. Thanks.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator model # rf31messbr 4 years ago. After the 1st year I replaced the ice maker. Since then Ive had to replace the ice maker 2 other times. Now my refrigerator is constantly icing up and middle deli door quit working. And dont even ask me about Samsung dishwasher! Samsung makes a nice TV but stay clear of their appliances.

Samsung refrigerator was loud and noisy when it ran. Samsung/Sears would not replace it. After many calls a savvy repairman said they didnt insulate correctly, plus something was vibrating that shouldnt have been. Runs quietly now. 6 yrs old.
