We bought our Samsung Refrigerator less than 2 years ago and we have had problem with the refrigerator since. Constantly having to defrost the unit manually because it freezes up and finally, 3 weeks ago we starting having a noxious burning smell come from fridge. Although Samsung did extend our warranty past the 12 months, since we have had multiple issues, they could not find the root of the smell after 2 service calls. The last service rep called Samsung and they said that their refrigerators do not emit smells. Well according to both of the service reps, it certainly did. The last one said it even left a bad taste in his mouth after working in the fridge for a little while. A $2000+ refrigerator that didnt even last 2 years. Trust me, dont risk your money on a Samsung.

We purchased 4 high end Samsung appliances in 2012. To date the refrigerator, ice maker on the replaced refrigerator, microwave repair twice, dishwasher twice and it is broken again. The company said they couldnt do anything even though the replaced appliances should have been under warranty. Doesnt matter how the appliances look if they dont hold up. We are going back to Kenmore and I suggest buyers BEWARE!

Samsung RB195ACBN - I hesitate to write a negative review. This Samsung refrigerator is a lemon. It started having the freezing and water-under-and-inside-the-crisper problem that others are talking about here, about one year after purchase. Out of warranty and its a known issue so we are out of luck? That is poor support of the product by Samsung.

We purchased our Samsung Model RS261M Side by Side Refrigerator in May of 2010. By August of 2013, it quit, after leaving the smell of burnt electrical components. We purchased it from Sears, so we called Sears to repair it. The Sears repair person stated that the main circuit board failed, which would be a minimum of $400 to replace, and that likely it would need other sensors or motors. He stated that the Samsung 26 CF refrigerator is infamous for poor quality and reliability. He stated that the compressors go out often and that many times Freon leaks out of the system, in areas behind the cabinet that makes it impossible to repair. He recommended against the repair and advised us to purchase a Kenmore brand. I called Samsung Customer Service. They said that they would call me back in two days to talk to me. Very poorly made product. Refrigerators are known as durable goods that are designed to last 10 years or more. This Samsung lasted 3 years 3 months and 19 days, one third of the industry standard.

I do not typically do product reviews but after seeing a rash of Samsung refrigerator ads on TV I felt compelled to respond. We needed a new refrigerator after our 15 year old GE started having problems. We found a nice looking french door style Samsung with a middle drawer for refrigerated items, freezer drawer at the bottom, water and ice dispenser, all the whistles and bells - in fact more whistles and bells than we had ever seen before. We have four Samsung TVs that all work great so we decided to give Samsung refrigerators a try - VERY BAD DECISION. The ice/water dispenser stopped working and none of our local repair people knew how to repair Samsung refrigeration products. Entering the model and serial number into the Samsung website in order to locate a Samsung repair person proved very difficult - not user friendly. We finally got the ice maker repaired but ice cubes still get stuck coming out of the dispenser and we have to completely empty the freezer about every four month and chip out the ice buildup in the bottom of the freezer, otherwise it gets increasingly difficult to open and shut the freezer door. About every two months the handle literally comes loose from the freezer drawer and I have to find the correct size Allen wrench to reattach the handle. Finally, the bottom of the middle plastic drawer for refrigerated items cracked. I dont think we every loaded it with anything unduly heavy - it just appears to be very thin plastic and it cracked. My next refrigerator will not be a Samsung.

Purchased samsung oven last year. Noticed paint peeling on glass top after a couple of months. Called Samsung and had a ticket for someone to come out to look at oven. Repair place called on day of service advising they would charge service charge since this is a cosmetic problem. Service place said if samsung admits this is not cosmetic then they would not charge. Called samsung back, talked to Shawn service manager. He advised this is a cosmetic problem when paint peels off of glass top. I have had other glass top stoves and never had this problem. This proves this product is a piece of ** and the glass top will peel no matter how you clean or take care of the product. I will not buy another samsung product.

There are a couple main problems with the refrigerator (Samsung Refrigerato
There are a couple main problems with the refrigerator (Samsung Refrigerator Model RF323TEDBSR/AA):1. There is a design flaw in the upper ice dispenser. When you select cubed ice, the dispenser crushes about 1/3 to 1/2 of the ice cubes. The problem lies in the design of the module. The opening to the ice chute is just too small and/or too close to the crusher mechanism which is just above the ice chute. The auger feeds more ice per given amount of time (seconds) than can fall through the hole to the chute before building up a pile at the hole. As this pile of ice builds up, it eventually begins to feed into the crusher mechanism. This results in about one third to one half of the cubes being crushed. Samsung technical support asked us to empty and reset the ice module but it made no difference. Finally my wife called them and had to escalate to the upper tier of support and they sent a second module but we found no difference in performance.2. The second problem is with the overall quality of the refrigerator. The hinge/pins for the drawer lids broke within the first couple months of ownership. These are little plastic pins, which are about 1/2 the diameter of a pencil, that allow the clear plastic lid to swing open upward when you pull the crisper or meat/cheese drawers out. I fixed them by drilling them out and inserting a wooden dowel rod and securing them with some industrial strength glue. Theyve held for almost a year now like that.3. Finally, the silver finish is flaking off the control/menu panel. This is a cosmetic flaw I understand but for a 1 year old product this is absolutely unacceptable. Samsung refused to do anything for us on this and my wife was adamant that there should be some replacement part shipped but they refused.Overall we are finding out that the refrigerator is just poor quality. We purchased the refrigerator because it had all the features we wanted. The second ice maker in the lower freezer drawer was a big reason we bought it. Now we have to open that drawer and dig out the ice cubes for our drinks if we dont want crushed ice which is all we can get from the front dispenser.I also wanted to make a comment about the water filter. The Aqua Fresh filters that are rated to be a match for the Samsung model HAF-CIN are of poor quality. I had a 3-pack of filters and the first filter worked without any issues for many months. Then the indicator light came on telling me it was time to replace the filter. The second and 3 filters from that pack leaked water into the drawer just below the filter. I ultimately had to replace them with the Samsung filter. This is not a Samsung complaint, but rather for information so others know my experience with the off-brand filters.

Bought 4 appliance package from Costco. All are good except for the range. Could not be worse. When it heats on high (say to boil pot of water), to turn down you have to go all the way to low and then come back up to where you want. Had repairmen out for the second time today. They agreed it’s weird and contacted designers who said THATS THE WAY THEY DESIGNED IT. Are you KIDDING??? They obviously don’t cook and don’t test these things themselves. I’ve had at least 25 stoves in my lifetime. Four of them glass top. And with NONE of them did I either have knobs that didn’t immediately respond when turned up or down (mine take up to 39 seconds to respond!!!), or did I have to nearly turn off and restart over to choose a new heat setting. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG RANGE!!!!!!

I thought the oven/range would be really good because Samsung is well known brand- for keyboards. Oven light stopped working in less than a month, followed by the convection fan. Most recently I discovered the “Samsung” etched on the stove was actually stickers that wiped off one by one as I cleaned. Oh and the indicator light that lets you know the stovetop is hot, sunk into the panel and I can’t retrieve it. The oven cooks unevenly, but the range cooks well. No complaints about the stovetop really.

In 2013 purchased a Samsung Side-by-side SS Refrigerator Model RS26TDR from Lowes. Worked good for about 8-9 months; came home & found the temperature in refrigerator was 60+ degrees; lost all food - called repairman to fix it & filed a loss on homeowners insurance [I had a rider to cover refrigerator loss]; worked great for about 7 more months; came home & found the same thing. This time in addition to losing food we lost at least $1,000 in **. Called repairman & filed a loss on insurance--has a $500 limit less $100 deductible so I didnt really get anything for the drug loss. Went & purchased a new Whirlpool French Door to replace it & moved it into laundry room to use for drugs which take up at least 1/4 of the space. Was working ok as far as I knew & last week came home & found the same problem 60+ degrees in refrigerator & around 0 in freezer.Cleaned everything out & called a repairman--will not work on Samsung appliances; called every repairman in our area - no one would come. Was told I would have to call a Nationwide Repair Company & gave me a phone number. When I called the minimum trip & diagnosis would be around $200 - then there would be labor & parts charged for repair. Also could not come for at least a week. I had to have a refrigerator to store ** & other drugs requiring refrigeration. Called insurance & cannot file a 3rd claim on same appliance so Im out another refrigerator of food & hoping it was caught early enough not to damage the **. I went out & spent $250 on a used refrigerator for the drugs. Have been researching online & found out that Samsung knew they had this problem, did not do a recall & ended up getting the class action suit against them cancelled. I will never ever buy anything Samsung again.

Bought this French door Samsung fridge model rf263 brand new 3 years ago. At first it was awesome, love the roomy space and design of it. But within first year it started making a really loud grinding sound. And eventually one day fridge part totally quit cooling. Ruining lots of food. Luckily we unplugged it and I researched online and found out due to defective design this fridge tends to fill up with ice in back where air flows between compartments and when it’s making its grumbling noise its ice rubbing on the fan. Only cure is to let the fridge completely defrost for 48 hours. There is no way to get to the coils to clean this fridge out either. So I defrosted it for 1 day at first, moving all food to ice chest and deep freeze is a pain in the rear. That wasn’t long enough had to do it again for 48 hours. Then it worked fine until next time it started making the noise again. Now it is freezing up every 3 months or so and today it is doing it yet again. It is NOT a reliable fridge, because when the fridge starts not cooling it doesnt notify you until it reaches about 60 degrees. Yesterday I cooked 50 dollars’ worth of barbecue meat and this morning it turns out the fridge was not cooling. The temp display was flashing 38 degrees but when I put thermometer in there the actual temp was 65. Do not buy this fridge, all the good reviews for this fridge are from new owners. The problems show up with it well after 6 months of use.

I did not do any research. Shame on me! Freezes up below crisper drawers. I did as suggested on previous posts - emptied everything, cleaned and removed ice from panel, vents and everything. I used a hair dryer to melt everything faster. I had temp a few degrees lower than recommended, but then I set to the recommendation. Two months later, big ice below the drawers - not in the vents (yet, I would assume). Bottom line, do not spend $2,000 on Samsung products. Unfortunately, I have to condemn the whole company. As someone did post, lets get a class action. There too, the lawyers get all the money and we get small compensation.

A service technician came to the house to repair it. Here we are, a few months later (May 2012), with the same reoccurring problem. This time, they want us to pay for the same repetitive issue. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Samsung refrigerators. Update - Here we are in August of 2012 with the same problem. The refrigerator is once again a spring generating a stream of water on to our hardwood floors. What a lemon of a refrigerator. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Samsung Refrigerators. I also have a problem with my freezer/fridge, a repair man had been out twice. All he does is defrost it with a blow dryer, the drain does not work properly so the bottom of the freeze becomes a skating rink and you can open the bottom drawer. When this happens, the fridge also quits working so I have to take all my food out and put it in a ice chest, put all my frozen food in another freezer and defrost it for 1 to 2 days. I do not feel I should have to deal with this. About every two weeks it freezes up, so I do not even use the freezer part anymore, my unit is two years old, very very very unsatisfied. Our Side-by-Side fridge stopped working about a month ago. I called Samsung and they offered me a 1 year warranty (which I thought was odd since the fridge was 4 years old). So I accepted, and they referred me to a local repair shop, A&E Factory Service in San Antonio, TX, which by the way is no good as well! The technician came out and said 4 parts needed to be ordered. Only 2 parts came in. Tech ordered other 2 parts. Only one part came in. I HAD to follow up with the Tech, with his company and with Samsung to get that 4th part ordered! Parts finally came in, and the fridge was repaired. Following week, fridge is not working again. A&E sends a Sears tech and says compressor is out of refrigerant (possible leak). He fills refrigerant and leaves before the fridge even shows that it is cooling. Fortunately it did. 2 weeks later (which is today 11/13/13), the fridge is not working again. I call Samsung and get transferred 5 different times because they cant give me a correct department to speak with. In the end, hopefully my fridge gets fixed. I decided to buy a backup the 2nd time around in case this would happen again (which today is the 3rd time). Im pretty sure they are just going to send another tech who seems like they do not know what they are doing and dont make the effort to ensure the fridge gets fixed for good. SO dont buy a fridge from a company who makes TVs and phones, lets put it that way. The model number of my fridge is #RS277ACBP/XAA. That was $1500 down the drain. Dont let the LED lights fool you in front of the fridge and drag you in because you think it looks fancy. Samsungs warranty is no good, their customer service is no good, and the contractors they send to come repair your fridge is no good.

Stove #NX58H5600S - Purchased the range In January of 2016. Recently noticed that the oven floor had corrosion spots (rusting) as well as cracks in the enamel of the oven floor. I was quite disappointed since I mostly use the cooktop rather than the oven. It has not had a lot of use. I felt that the oven floor was defective. I contacted Samsung and was told to send pictures, so that the situation could be evaluated. I was then told to contact a service center in another state to have the oven evaluated at my cost. The service manager, after viewing the photos, (did not actually see the rust and cracking) stated that the problem was not a defect but cosmetic and physical damage. Since the stove was out of warranty, I would have to pay for the repair myself. Samsung does not stand behind their products. I would never buy one of their products again or recommend them to anyone.

This fridge worked fine for about 2 years then something went haywire. It took Sears five trips to finally send a repair tech who was competent to properly diagnose the problem. The first tech diagnosed the (wrong) problem and charged me $357. That didnt fix it, so a new tech showed up and made a new diagnosis, and ordered another part. It was the wrong part, so another part had to be ordered. In the meantime, I dont have a working refrigerator so bought a 30-year-old $85 beater that does work. Luckily there was room to set it up in the dining area. Sears sent a third tech who said the initial diagnosis was wrong so ordered a new part -- but this tech then said he wouldnt plug the fridge back in because the outlet wasnt grounded. I called an electrician who charged me $75 to say yes it is grounded (which I was pretty sure was the case). Finally a tech showed up and properly diagnosed the problem, at the cost of $272. The tech said Sears would credit my credit card $85 for the difference between the right and wrong parts. Sears has not billed me for the $272 but they also have not refunded me the $85 for the overcharge. I have called them also asking to be reimbursed for these items: the $85 fridge I was forced to buy due to their technicians continued incompetence, $75 for the unneeded electrician service call, $100 that I felt obliged to offer the tenants living in the house to take off their rent because this entire process took two months to find a competent Sears service tech. I will never again buy an appliance from Sears and sure as heck wont call them to service this fridge the next time it has a problem (and Im keeping the $85 beater in the garage just in case).

The oven is constantly setting off our carbon monoxide detector and recently, I thought there was moisture built up on the oven door and when I tried to open it to wipe the glass front it exploded in a thousand fragments of glass everywhere! This company should be held accountable before someone dies...

We love the microwave when its working properly. Its only 4 years old and has failed three times. Each repair was easy and cheap once diagnosed. 1) Heard beeps during the night. Eventually beeped more often and left the dreaded SE error code. Called Samsung support and they suggested unplugging the unit and plug back in after a few minutes. Effectively they were telling me to reboot it. That didnt work. Found YouTube video with the fix for this problem. The ribbon cable connecting to the touchpad goes over a sharp metal edge frame of the control panel and vibration from fan operation eventually rubs through the cable causing a short. The fix was simple and only took about 20 minutes. I put a piece of electrical tape on the sharp metal edge and voila, no more beeping and no more SE error code. Samsung should have put a piece of slit PVC tubing on the sharp edge and this would never happen. Design problem! Cost to fix = price of two inch strip of electrical tape. 2) Door would not stay closed when shut. Found another YouTube about this. Tiny plastic tang which one end of door latch tension spring attaches to broke off. Replaced it with a tiny #4 sheet metal screw. Took 15 minutes. Cost to fix one small screw already on hand.3) Microwave would not turn on. Online search implied could be faulty door microswitch. Testing with cheap VOM showed which of three microswitches was faulty but suspected the one that no longer clicked and rebounded when activated by finger pressure. Found exact factory replacement online for $5 with free shipping. Took less than a week to arrive. 20 minutes to diagnose and replace. Doubt that many homeowners would have attempted doing all these repairs on their own. Three service calls even with almost no parts cost would more than pay for a new microwave, most likely not Samsung LOL.

HORRIBLE!!!! I bought a fridge on the week of Black Friday 2014, the day of the delivery they called me saying it was damaged, and I would get a new one in 3 days, I let 2 weeks pass and I still havent received a new fridge. I went to Home Depot and they called Samsung and said that my delivery address always changed to Arcadia (I live in Palmdale), we fixed the delivery address after Samsung has said I changed it, which I didnt! And they would deliver it the first week of January, a whole month after I initially ordered it. When the day of the delivery came, the fridge was damaged for a SECOND time, and not to mention the unprofessionalism from the 2 delivery associates. They urged us to keep the damaged one, we declined. We had to wait again for another fridge. We called for compensation they promised us 200$ dollars that would take 6 weeks to process. Its been 3 months and I called them today and they said they denied my compensation. SAMSUNG is horrible, I will definitely never recommend Samsung to anybody and I will make sure corporate hears about this!

The only thing worse than our new dishwashers performance has been the absolute mountain of frustration attempting to get a repair person to come. My Samsung refrigerator broke again. This is the third time since I spent nearly $2000 to buy it new in 2013. But aside from the poor performance of the unit the real problem is the customer service regarding the repair. So far Ive called Samsung every day for the past 11 days and I am on hold again now. Apparently Samsung customer service will listen to the problem you are experiencing, very nicely tell you to expect a call within 24-48 business hours and then throw your information in the trash because nothing happens after that. Every day, I have to begin the process again so in this scenario 24 -48 business hours never passes. Dont buy a Samsung refrigerator. They break and no one is interested in fixing it. Or paying for it. Or replacing it unless you want to box it up and ship it off yourself (they actually suggested I do this!!) There are plenty of refrigerator companies. Please benefit from my experience. Do not purchase Samsung.

The absolute worst dishwasher I have ever used. Wish I had never bought it! No matter how the dishes are arranged they never all come clean. At least 1 out 4 are still dirty. I now have to soak all the dishes prior to putting them in. Soaking the dishes does not guarantee that they will come out clean. Additionally you will have to clean the area where the water drains each time you use it to prevent Black Mold from growing. If there is a Samsung product in the next home we purchase we will ask for an appliance credit and tell them to take the crap with them. NEVER BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!

Now we have DWs that claim to SANITIZE but leaves dishes wet and spotty. AND it takes hours of electricity to produce lousy results. To top it all off manufacturers dont care. When can we get something that works, made in the USA? Oxymoron? Top dollar for a stainless steel unit that s noisy and does a poor job. It doesnt even have a lower heating element, so how can it SANITIZE? Fool me once. No more SAMSUNG and Im telling it to all I meet.

I hate my DMT800 Samsung dishwasher. It does not heat the water nor clean the dishes well. It is about 3 years old and its torn up. There are only certain repair companies that are allowed by Samsung to repair their appliances and some will not repair the appliance if its under warranty. The company I call charges $89.95 for a service call and if they can repair it, they will waiver the service charge. I think that this means it will be expensive to repair it. I will NEVER purchase any Samsung products ever again. I will also let everyone I know to never purchase Samsung products. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator one year and almost a month ago. The refrigerator has completely stopped working because Samsung put a faulty part in the fridge. They will not do anything to help me or fix this problem because the warranty is one year and it has been 22 DAYS past the warranty. Samsung has told me I will have to pay $160 just to look at the refrigerator + parts which they would not disclaim to me an estimate of how much the part could cost. I had a technician (not from Samsung) come out and look at the fridge prior to calling Samsung and they saw that Samsung had put in a cord that was supposed to have 3 prongs but was broken and only had 2 prongs. They informed me that they could replace the part which would be at least $250 dollars. However that still will not guarantee if the refrigerator will still work because the faulty part might of completely damaged the fridge for good. The technician informed me that I was lucky because the refrigerator could have completely blown up due to the faulty part. I called Samsung after I had learned what the issue was and they would not do anything about it unless I paid for them to fix the fridge and they did not guarantee that even after paying that if the fridge still does not work that they would do anything about it. They basically told me that I would have to keep paying more money to get it fixed because the warranty was up 22 days ago and it is now no longer their fault. What company puts a BROKEN part into an expensive and large purchase putting a household family in danger and then doesnt own up to it nor replace the part?! This is the worst customer service I have ever received my whole life and I am 55 years old and have owned many homes and many appliances in my lifetime. Samsung makes faulty products that are a danger to the consumer and then charges the consumer ridiculous amounts of money to fix it. What a greedy, dishonest, unreliable and manipulative company. Do NOT buy a refrigerator from them!!!!

RF217ACPN - I have owned this refrigerator for about two years. After a year and a half, I started having ice build up in crisper drawers. Researched problem online and found YouTube video describing the problem and fix. Removed shelves, etc., and panel covering defroster coil. I found the coil covered in ice and the drain clogged shut with ice. Followed video by replacing defroster thermistor sensor and using hot water to de-ice drain. I have now gone through the hot water treatment three times, also relocated (slightly) the sensor, but problem keeps reappearing on a less than two-week cycle. I own two of Samsung TVs and a computer monitor manufactured by them. I love them and have no complaints, but the refrigerator design really sucks along with their support. Samsung Warranty Service. Replaced all my kitchen appliances with Samsung a few months ago. Happy with them generally but fridge/freezer suddenly stopped cooling. Samsung Call Center has dispatched the ticket to 3 different Authorized Warranty Service Centers over two days. All Service Centers have declined as they say they cannot repair Compressor/Sealed Unit as they are. I forced the Call Center to escalate to their dispatch center which then tried to send another service provider who declined to come as they were not qualified or equipped to do the work. Two days without a TV is manageable. Two days without a fridge is not. I had to buy a new freezer to save my frozen meat and food. Needless to say, Freezer is not a Samsung. Still have not reached anyone at Samsung who can make a decision. Thanks for the Melty Mess in my new kitchen, Samsung.

Was 2 days past warranty so therefore I needed to find a repairman to fix and absorb the expenses. Tried calling several appliance repair companies and none were willing to work on samsung products. Still am defrosting every 2 weeks. Have ordered parts online for it and replaced but nothing seems to solve the problems. Just recently the washer that I purchased has been put on a recall and samsung has not responded to me since registering on the site. Went to the samsung site and tried the chat and again nothing, referred to the customer service line. I called this customer service number a couple of days before doing the chat thing and the representative I spoke with told me that if I registered on the site he couldnt help me. They brought new ones within a few days. The ice maker has spewed ice chips no matter what size/shape the glass you use or where you hold it under the dispenser, ice goes all over the floor. The ice maker makes so much noise in the process of making ice that it makes a crashing sound. The right side door doesnt stay open!!! The wonderful techs at Best Buy have been out at least 5 times to repair both, along with sending new parts, etc. and it is just the same as before they tried anything new. This is a defective appliance and NO ON CARES!!! The go through the motions to honor the warranty and now there is nothing they can do. Samsung is even more worthless. How can two large companies be allowed to continually rip people off with products and services that dont work properly? Are there longer morals and truth in business? We purchased this range in the Fall of 2016, Model #NE58K9430, with digital dials. There are several things that are disappointing. It is very hard to keep the glass top clean (this is not my first glass top range). Cannot use pot or pan that is not smooth on the bottom as it will scratch the surface. Consequently, I had to purchase new cookware. If you get too close to the digital panel, even your clothes will make it come on. If you get too close, the lock will come on and the only way to get it off is to flip the fuse box!!! I am short and reaching over to clean the top, the timer button will come on, the warmer button will come on, the self clean button will come on, and that is with only clothing touching. I am at the point of throwing this in the garbage dump. No wonder Lowes had it on sale, which even at $1000 it was no deal. Cannot find order info, but was purchased at Lowes Hardware, N. We bought a Samsung stove 5 weeks ago, and purchased the 5 yr extended warranty. We were told this would ensure quick response on appliance issues. It has worked well for 5 weeks. Last week while baking @ 350, we heard something crackling and opened the oven to find the inside door glass had completely spider-cracked and glass fell everywhere the inside of the oven. Since the stove was only 5 weeks old and we had the 5 yr extended warranty, a simple door replacement would solve the issue.15 phone calls (store, 3rd-party service company, Samsung) and several days later we are frustrated. The first roadblock was getting someone to arrange a service call. After sending a copy of the store receipt, there was more delay while the 3rd party service company had Samsung validated the receipt - seriously? Finally they call to dispatch a tech, and was told they are coming to access and take a picture to evaluate the need. I offered to take the picture and email it, and again indicated that replacing the oven door would solve the issue. So today, the 3rd party company called saying Tech was on the way. Tech shows up (no part), takes a picture and notes yes, the door glass is defective and leaves. Its now 8 days and counting with no functioning oven, and no ETA. Ive reached out to the Lowes store Manager (who has been very helpful, but also hamstrung by the same bureaucracy with 3rd party maintenance company & Samsung procedures). While I like the 2 Samsung appliances I own, given this first customer service experience, I would not purchase another Samsung appliance. We all know Appliances will break - but if one cant get a NEW appliance serviced even with the 5 yr extended warranty... Purchase from a different brand that supports good warranty service.

This is unacceptable. These appliances should last at least 10 years with no problems. We will never purchase a Samsung again.

Updated on 06/24/2020: I called a technician to look at the stove. He told me that the repair would be $325.00. That is more than half of what I paid for the stove. I strongly suggest that you leave this piece of work at the store. Calling their service department is close to useless. They are inefficient and the bottom line is that they do not care about their customers. You can tell how much they care when you read the responses that some of the other customers left. I am the one that reported that there was a gas leak from one of the valves.Original review: Please do not buy this stove. I have had the stove for less than 3 years. In that time 2 of the knobs on the stove have broken. I did glue one of them back together and I will probably get the other one done too. On Sunday the gas valves were working fine and on Monday morning one of the valves froze in the on position allowing gas to escape. This is also what caused the second knob to break. I did not notice that there was any gas still escaping, but when I checked again, I noticed that the burner had lit. This could have resulted in my dying if it would have happened at night and if I had gone to sleep. Better safe than sorry, leave this stove at the store. It should not even be there.

On Feb 12th 2020, I had a new Samsung Microwave, Model # ME19R7041FS delivered and installed over my range. On May 11th, the microwave turned itself on. By the time I heard the fan running the oven was so hot I could not touch it. None of the controls worked to shut it off so I was forced to unplug it. The Microwave was hot both inside and the outside as well was so hot it not touchable. Fortunately I was home at the time of this incident and was able to unplug it. I cant imagine what might have happened if I had not been at home. I feel that a fire would easily have been the next step. I called Samsung and they said they would not replace the microwave that their technicians would be capable to fixing it. It is now supposedly fixed, however, I am not confident enough to leave it plugged in when I am not here. I unplug it when I am leaving the house. I feel Samsung should have replaced this unit as it was only 3 months old when it malfunctioned. I am seriously considering buying another brand microwave and replacing the Samsung one so that I feel safe.

I have experienced the same complaint everyone who owns a Samsung microwave seems to have - the SE error code. I contacted Samsung and it took four chat sessions and an angry phone call to have a service person come out. I was told the control panel would be replaced, no charge on epidemic warranty; servicing agency knows nothing about it. I was told I would have to pay for the control box if it needs replacement. It seems like Samsung is well aware of this major problem, but has chosen to do nothing until your unit fails - and it will. Then they horse you around for days to get it serviced. I have lots of Samsung products with no problems, but this microwave has totally destroyed my Samsung vision. It is just an out and out piece of crap. The ventilation system sucks, which I believe is the cause of the SE code because moisture builds up in the control panel. If I have to replace, I guarantee it will not be with another Samsung.

In 2014 we bought a Samsung dishwasher at Lowes. We had always bought Bosch but the deal being offered by Lowes/Samsung was too hard to pass up, I wish we had. I wont bother with the model number because after reading the reviews here it is obvious it doesnt matter, they all have problems. I am pretty good at fixing things myself and our dishwasher is still running, but I have better things to do in my retirement than fix a dishwasher! If you go to Youtube you will find many videos showing you how to fix your Samsung. My advice is DO NOT BUY a Samsung dishwasher! If you own one, make sure you put a cup of vinegar in AFTER the wash cycle starts, (this is particularly important if you are on a well and not public water). If you do it before you start the dishwasher, it will pump the vinegar down the drain upon startup. Also after each wash, clean the door gasket at the bottom of door where it attaches to the dishwasher. Black gunk/mold builds up there, pretty disgusting. Based on reading other reviews, if you are out of warranty and cant do your own repair, take your loss, and put your hard earned money into purchasing another dishwasher.

So our Samsung refrigerator that we bought for about $3500 stopped working entirely three weeks after the five year warranty expired. We called them up and told them they should fix it since its like a car thats completely worthless a couple of weeks after the warranty expires. Nobody would ever buy such a car. So they sold us an extended warranty for $345. After sending four different firms out over a month, they concluded that its not worth fixing. So now they decided to refund our $345. To which I said theyre just running a scam. If Samsung sells us the warranty but has no intention to honor it anytime the repair is expensive, what theyre saying it will only sell you warranty if the warranty repairs are less than what you paid us. Otherwise well just borrow your money for free until we give it back. Sounds like its a total fraud. Please contact me if you have purchased a warranty from Samsung and are interested in participating in a class action lawsuit.

The stove is great and the heating element works well. I like the flexibility provided by having multiple pot sizes on each eye of the range as it provides for quick and even heating without any overkill. The range dials and oven buttons have a nice click when depressed, which I prefer compared to my old stove that didnt have much feedback when using. The oven also has a convection feature that I greatly appreciate as well. My only complaint on my stove is that for some reason the oven light blows quickly regardless of how often you use it. I have replaced the light numerous times within 6 months and I have just stopped using it.

I purchased Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RFG297AARS for $2000 on 3/2011. However, I didnt buy the extended protection plan (should have) because I had protection plan with local electric company. I started to have problems in Jun 2013. Water in the bottom of the crisper and the refrigerator/ freezer was not cooling properly. I called to have maintenance done on the unit, and the repairmen told me that all of the defrost circuits and the sealed compressor were working properly and the drain lines were clear. They stated that all of the older and same model of mine had issues on lack of insulation in the box and during summer/high humid months, the unit would not keep up. I contacted Samsung and they never heard of this and would be happy to come out to look at the unit. If it wasnt a compressor issue, I would be charged for the visit. So we just unplugged the refrigerator and let it thaw out, and after that it worked okay, but not great. Then in Feb 2014, my freezer and refrigerator stopped cooling, so I called up for maintenance and they determined the sealed cooling system was not working and to call Samsung for repair under the 5-yr warranty. I called Samsung and they sent out a repair rep and he came out and said that the compressor/sealed system was not working properly and he would be in 2 weeks. When he came back, he tried everything but he could find the leak and he stated that it was not repairable!! 3 months later, no working refrigerator, just a broken one sitting in the way in my kitchen. Samsung finally decided to buy the unit back, but it would take 15-20 days and would get back to me concerning the removal of the broken one. No check, no email - nothing at all. Please do not buy this model or from this company. They say they understand what I am going through, but I dont think they do because they would have sent me my check and removed this broken box out of my kitchen so I can buy a new one for my family without a refrigerator.

Within a few months had issues with the brand new dishwasher. First off it wouldnt latch right, so it wouldnt start. Repairman even said in the future to get a model with a latch you turn and lock yourself. It was under warranty, guy came out about four days later and fixed that. When he left and we ran a cycle, suddenly it wouldnt drain. Guy came out again a few days later, took a look and said it needed a new computer board. They mailed it to my house. Took over a week. After not being able to get the guy to the house, he missed an appointment then showed up the next day while I was at work, we put it in ourselves (Almost 3 weeks, over 2 weeks with water in the bottom of the dishwasher that even with baking soda etc, was starting to stink up the kitchen!). Worked ok for about 8 months. Now it seems like it needs another computer board because it isnt drying the dishes. Its only 18 months old!

We bought a Samsung French door, freezer on the bottom refrigerator end of December 2013. The refrigerator is so loud and noisy that it interferes with the television. In this day of modern technology this Samsung refrigerator is louder than any I have ever had in the past. It hums and buzzes and the other night it made loud clunking type noises. I thought someone broke into the house. I seriously did. We have contacted Samsung 3 different times and they refuse to come out. They keep referring back to where we purchased the refrigerator and Midway Appliance Company in Victorville, CA keeps referring us back to Samsung. We are senior citizens and the fridge costs quite a bit of money. We are at a loss. There is definitely something wrong with this refrigerator. Something is faulty with the way it was manufactured. GE Capital where we have it financed has agreed to do a dispute for us with Midway Appliance where we bought it. They will not help us either. I am just waiting for a response from them, which will be in about a month or so. I hope it is favorable. I dont think its right when companies take advantage of senior citizens.

DWF800A (DW80F600UTS) - I bought a brand new stainless steel dishwasher by Samsung on 5th September. It did not work out of the box. I contacted Samsung and they arranged for a technician to call me back. A week later, the technician called and arranged to visit and check it out in a few weeks time. On the arranged day, the technician called to say he wouldnt be out as the parts hadnt arrived. Another week later he called again to arrange a visit - another week later. Eventually, the technician called, replaced the sensors and circuit board and declared that it should be ok hopefully. The dishwasher worked for one wash, then went back to the exact same fault - not emptying. We called the technician back and he said it would be at least 3 weeks before he could call again. Its now 2 months since we received this piece of junk, so I called Samsung again. After 20 minutes on the phone with customer service, they escalated to Executive customer service. After 20 minutes with them, where I asked for it to be replaced or refunded, as it wasnt fit for purpose, I was told that I would just have to wait for the technician to call again. So Samsung are more than happy that I have a non-working Samsung product, have had to take 3 days holidays to wait for their technician and am out of pocket for almost $1000 for a piece of ** not-fit-for-purpose junk for 3 months.I have a house full of Samsung products, from cell phones and TVs to all of the major household appliances. Well Samsung, let me tell you I have gone from being a big Samsung fan to a total hater of Samsung - I will not be replacing any product with another Samsung, due to this shoddy treatment. Please do yourself a favour - dont buy this piece of junk. I will update in another months time, when the technician has had another go at fixing this POS.

I purchased a Samsung OTC Microwave, model # ME18H704SFS in Sept. 2016 from Home Depot. On Nov. 13, 2017, the Magnetron gave up. Samsung repairman told me it would cost $280 on top of the $109.00 I paid for him to come out. It cost me $455.64 to have this microwave installed last year. Now this. I will NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG.I am so angry as to how a company can be allowed to sell such cheaply made appliances and cheat consumers out of their hard earned money. This just seems unfair. Samsung has to be aware of this problem and yet they continue to sell the units with the same problem. Of course, they are of no help when you call. This magnetron is clearly a problem based on the reviews I have now read. Wish I had read them before purchasing my unit. I would not have bought the WORTHLESS microwave. I had an old GE microwave that I used for 10 years before it gave up and I replaced it. Never had any problems with that microwave. Now you purchase what appears to be a good microwave and this appliance is a TOTALLY WORTHLESS PIECE OF JUNK.

Simply DO NOT BUY IT! The SAMSUNG dishwasher DW80F600UTB is by far the worst purchase that everyone shall avoid. Acquired one unit in Aug 31, 2013 at Future Shop Calgary, Canada. The machine was delivered on Sept 6, 2013. It worked marginally well up to Nov 3, 2013 (not even 2 months of use). On this fatidic day, the machine started leaving food residue and unfinished, not washed glasses, and from this point and on, my WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER! In a nutshell, I spent hours and hours on the phone with SAMSUNG (UN)SUPPORT Services(?). They sent me one local (not SAMSUNG) technician that pinpointed several problems (from the Pump up to Water Pressure). After 7 (SEVEN) visits and lots of parts replacement, the technician finally agreed that the machine was NO GOOD! Note: SAMSUNG will only replace your dishwater if their technician agrees that the machine is NO GOOD. In July 2014, I received the NEW UNIT from SAMSUNG but need to pay freight and installation again. The new unit worked marginally well up to February 2015.At this point I decided to wash the same batch of dishes at least 3 and 4 times, and tomorrow (Dec 28, 2015) I will buy a REAL DISHWASHER! This DW80F600UTB has serious design issues not recognized by SAMSUNG. On this regard, I would like to join BORIS of Calgary to enter in a fully documented and water-tight lawsuit against SAMSUNG. SAMSUNG must understand that we, customers, are not idiots nor money grow on trees to be spent in such a JUNK equipment.

We purchased a $2,172.96 Samsung French Door Refrigerator, model number RF4287HARS in January 2014 from Best Buy. From the beginning, when the cooling motor came on it was noisy and irritating. The ice maker was very noisy. The clincher was after 16 months, the molding on the door split and tore. We have owned multiple lesser expensive Refrigerators but never had the molding rip. We contacted Best Buy who referred us to Pacific Sales who sells in the Best Buy store. They wanted $200 to replace the molding stating that there was a 1 year warranty on parts.
