Purchased the Samsung French door refrigerator in mid-July 2014 (model #RF217ACRS/XAA) from HOME DEPOT and in mid-November 2014, while still under warranty, it stopped working completely and is currently sitting in my kitchen. I called the Samsung 800-726-7864 number on 11/6 to report the failure and ask for service. The woman I spoke to asked me to describe the problem which was that even though the digital readings at the top said the frig was 38F and the freezer was -2F, the food in the freezer had thawed and all items in the frig were warm. I asked for service and she gave me a transaction number (which I recorded) and said a technician would call within 24 hours. On 11/7 no call came in, so I called the service Center at 800-905-9505. They had no repair order for me and told me to call 800-726-7864, which I did and spoke to Frank, who said he would schedule the service and gave me a confirmation number. On 11/8, no technician called so I called the service number again. Again, I was told by Angel, no service order had been created. I went to the website and began an online chat with Vance ** who gave me more numbers (which I recorded) and referred me back to the 800-726-7864. After the chat they asked me to fill out a survey, which I was so happy to do and related the above travails. I then called the 800-726-7864 number again and got a recording that the line was closed for the weekend. On Sunday, 11/9, Samsung employee called and reviewed the previous transactions. She didnt know why the service had not been scheduled and scheduled it for me for Monday, 11/11 between 1-5 p.m. (ticket # **). To double check, I called the 800-905-9505 number to see if they had the order and they did. Monday morning at 8:33 a.m., I received a message from Jason at the service center canceling the appointment as his technicians were ill and was told to call the 800-905-9505 number and reschedule. The repair is currently schedule for Thursday, 11/12 between 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Well see if they show up and if so, what the repair is likely to be. Based on the reviews of these Samsung products I have read here, I am not optimistic that this product will every operate correctly. I would be very interested in joining with others about actions that can be taken to remedy this complete failure to back their products or provide customer service.

Bought a Samsung rs277 side by side from Lowes approx 5 years ago. Was a scratch and dent floor model at Lowes and was a very good discount. Ice maker problems started within first year. It makes ice but wont dump it into tray unless you press button on ice maker. So far havent had much luck finding out online what I can do to fix this. For awhile it would make ice then quit until you pushed button then would make ice again for a few days then have to press button again. After 4 years it now will only dump ice if you press button. At almost 5 yrs old fan inside fridge got loud. Found some info for different model Samsung online about this problem being from ice build up. Although the info I found online was for a similar type side by side Samsung my model rs277 did not come apart the same way. Keep in mind these are supposed to be frost free units. You need to take all the shelves and drawers out and loosen back panel.Used hair dryer to defrost a bunch of ice on cooling coil. The ice had built up to the point where it was interfering with fan and blocking drain hole. So besides the noise there was water occasionally leaking out the front. Defrosting took care of noise and water leak but it will be back since the thing should not have needed to be defrosted. There is some type of sensor that tells the brain when to defrost and a heating element to defrost. Not sure which is bad. If someone knows how to test the sensor or how to fix the ice maker so it will dump ice please email me at **.I had an Amana side by side for well over ten years. I ordered it without an ice maker so that never broke. Some of the plastic parts inside the fridge did not hold up so well and the door gaskets were coming apart but in over ten years I never had to tear it apart to fix something. Until I got the Samsung I was not so happy with the Amana because of the cheesy plastic parts. The Samsung has made me wish I had the Amana back. It was still working when I got rid of it and was over 10. Not happy with samsung.

This is the third year for this refrigerator and we have replaced the Ice maker last fall. In mid-May, the entire fridge crapped out. There is a leak in the system and the repair could be $200-$1000. No support from Samsung at all. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN! By the way, my 25-year Magic Chef is still chugging along quite happily keeping my beer and now my household food.

My problem is like everyone else!!! My RF217 is less than 2 years old when drain froze up wrecking the fan!!! Having been in the appliance business for over 30 years, I have never saw such a poorly designed system!!! After defrosting and installing a new fan, it worked for a couple of months when it started leaking into the crisper drawers telling me the drain was already frozen!!! I made a heater out of a copper wire and thought I had it fixed. But three months later, same old crap!!! Samsung knows of this problem but is not recalling the problem, even though they make a kit to fix it with!!! I suggest everyone that has or had this problem call the commerce commission and report their experience. In the meantime, you can buy the kit online such as eBay for around $125.00... Let refrigerator thaw for several hours so you dont break cover or insulation foam behind it!!!

Purchased a Samsung Dishwasher in 2017. The fan has blown for the 4th time in 2 years.. They apparently upgraded the fan in 2019, so I figured I would fork out the money and pay for that instead of just tossing this thing. Took a few months and that piece of garbage stopped working as well. Custom support is zero help - cant confirm if there has been a recall, what part is correct. Have been waiting for their superiors to contact me forever. Joke of a company. Do not buy their appliances.

Same thing, different person. Fridge Model RF217ACRS, manufactured in 2011. Problem started in 2014. Samsung refuses to pay for repair even though original chat transcript with Samsung Support inferred they will stand behind their product, after creating a ticket for me even though the fridge was out of warranty. Problem Description: Fridge coils freezing up, causing fan to rub on ice making a loud noise. Defrosted it multiple times, problem comes back within a week or 2. A&E Services wanting to charge $361 for the repair of what they claim is a $12 sensor. A&E Factory Services tech also told me that this is the cause of 90% of the problems reported regarding Samsung refrigerators. My guess... A&E and any other Samsung Authorized Service Center is being paid off by Samsung to cover-up the actual fault, which may lie with the evaporator, as if the water is drained/evaporated correctly, should not build up as ice on the coils, in my unprofessional opinion. Keep in mind, the evaporator is covered under the Samsung 5-year warranty, but the $12 sensor is not, and their repair techs will charge you out the *you know what* ($360) to replace it. I will never buy another Samsung device as long as I live, and I will steer all my friends and family away from them.

I purchased a stainless steel Samsung dishwasher from PC Richard. I used it for almost 13 months until It started having problems with the blinking lights on the control panel. I contacted the store which then gave me the customer service number for Samsung. When I finally reached the help desk, I was told the warranty had expired and if I wanted a service tech to come fix the problem, it would cost $125 just to come and check what was causing the problem and then I would have to pay for new parts. This is a disgrace, since it was not even a month that the warranty had expired. I looked for recalls on this model#DW80F600 series. Customer service was rude and completely disacknowledged my complaint.

Purchased a Samsung from Home Depot April 14. I call Samsung about every four months for two issues. 1- the refrigerator is growling and making monster noises and 2 - another piece of the inside broke to pieces. Another shelf, drawer etc. cracked, broke or crumbled and has to be secured with flex tape or thrown in the garbage because it is unusable. See pictures. Its completely unbelievable!Hours on the phone with Home Depot (where we bought the additional warranty) and they send us to Samsung & Samsung sends us to National Factory Service for diagnostic and at a cost to us: $85. They heard. They came. They saw. They did nothing. Just head scratches and the words: PARTS OUT OF WARRANTY. When I call Samsung these days, they try to sell me an extended warranty for $129, which doesnt cover the parts. I mean have you ever? Its such a joke! There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung ~ apparently for the icemaker + and, yes, our icemaker gives us non stop issues.

Its a gas stove with a blower in the oven, lets you air fry or roast, the only gripe I have with the unit is the stove top. The four burners arent regulated properly, they stay on high through 2/3 of the knob rotation making it difficult to get the exact temp youre looking for and the center burner that comes with a grill takes forever to heat up. It takes a good ten to fifteen minutes on high to get hot enough to cook pancakes.

We purchased the Samsung 24 Stormwash dishwasher in August 2020. After the first time I ran a full cycle, I got an error code OC. I looked it up and the manual said to contact the manufacturer. I tried using another cycle to see if that would work, it didnt. So I tried several other cycles and it finally completed a cycle. But I immediately noticed it didnt wash the dishes at all. Dishes that didnt even have grease on them before, were greasy with debris on it. Mind you, I rinse the majority of the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. So I called Home Depot to tell them it wasnt working and they informed me at that moment that it was purchased from the manufacturer so I would have to contact them. Soooo, I called them and I have had the run around from the very beginning. They arranged with a local company to send a tech out to look at it. That is whole story in itself (and not a good one). He FINALLY came out, said it needed a part, ordered it and came back to install it a week later. After he left, I tried a cycle and it worked. And then I ran another cycle and it barely got about 2 to 5 minutes into the cycle and it stopped. I called Samsung again, and after speaking to the lady (a rather rude lady at that), she finally escalated it for me to get a refund or replacement because they couldnt get in contact with the company that supposedly fixed my unit. They were supposed to call me back within 24 to 48 hours. A WEEK later, I called them because I never got a phone call back and they had the nerve to tell me I didnt qualify for a replacement or refund. They sent a defective unit that cost $1052.85 and now I have to jump through hoops just to get the unit fixed. The rep has been rude and dismissive. The unit is horrible! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. We have everything else Samsung, but we will NEVER buy from them again!

Five weeks ago the light bulb lens protective cover on the Over the Range microwave shattered and the glass shards were found on the electric range cooktop. The bulb was also burnt out. I ordered a replacement lens and installed it, and I also replaced BOTH bulbs. A few days ago, the same thing happened, but it was more serious. When the protective lens shattered, the pieces of glass fell into our skillet on the range top, and the bulb again was burnt out. We contacted Samsung on their website. They stated that because the warranty had expired, it was up to us to contact a repair person. We disagree. We sent another message. We consider this issue to be a consumer safety issue. Samsung issued us a Ticket Number for further question or concerns when we communicate with Samsung. Ticket Number **. Note: We took pictures but we are having difficulty getting them from our IPad.

In 2011, we bought a Samsung dishwasher and French door refrigerator. The dishwasher had problems from the first month, with basket clips breaking, and jamming the jets. They knew this was a widespread problem, but wouldnt switch out our unit. I left negative feedback on their site, which they removed (it was all factual), and sent me a warning email that they would ban me from commenting again. I switched it for an LG (no problems at all). Now, the fridge isnt working. It started making a loud rattling noise this afternoon, and a quick online search showed me that there is a class action lawsuit against them because the twin cooling system freezes over, and your fridge/freezer no longer cool/freeze. This company is a joke. Dont give them your money. Customer service is the worst, and they dont care if the product fails.

Our refrigerator stopped cooling so we had an authorized repair person in. At first he thought it was repaired but the same problem occurred 3 and 1/2 months later. He returned and determined that the unit was irreparable. Corrosion was occurring because the upper cooling unit couldnt drain during the defrost cycle. The whole back panel freezes up to the point that the circulating fan hits the ice and makes a horrible sound. Samsung was sent pictures by my repairman and are giving me the run around. I paid well over $2000 for this refrigerator and now it is worthless in just over 2 years of usage. My mother-in-law has a refrigerator in her home that she bought 30 years ago that works better. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR. THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW IN THE FRENCH DOOR/FREEZER ON THE BOTTOM MODELS. I have seen on the internet where there is even a class action suit against them.

Mine stopped working right after the one year warranty expired and has the flashing lights. Called a local appliance repair guy and he told me he does not repair Samsung. Why? Because they keep breaking down and he has to keep coming back to replace parts at his cost. Customers think it’s his fault, but after reading this blog, we all know the problem is Samsung. My other Samsung appliances are not great either. I just purchased a new highly rated Kenmore from Sears. After checking Consumer Reports, Samsung has the worst frequency of repairs of all brands. Stay away from Samsung and don’t listen to salespeople. Do your own research first and buy a dependable brand. Anybody want to buy a lightly used dishwasher? LOL.

We purchased our Samsung Induction range in Jan 2015. Within a couple of weeks we got an error message which made no sense but nothing on the range worked. As this was under the one year warranty I called Samsung. After several days and several calls I was informed there were no Samsung certified repair people within a three-hour radius. I called Calgary and was told by a Samsung certified repairman they get calls from all over the province but will not leave the city. I returned to Sears where I purchased the range. They were willing to replace the range but asked if I would allow them to arrange their service people to come out, which they did. No stove for three weeks as the entire electrical panel had to be replaced. Fortunately at this time I purchased five year extended warranty through Sears. We now have issues with the oven. For no reason, mid cycle/baking the oven puts out an error message (silent) and the range does not work. On one occasion it just stopped working without an error message. Thank goodness I dont have to try to get a repairman... Sears will send out their technician. I have read complaints about cleaning the glass top. I clean with soap and water. Dry it then spray with Weimar cooktop cleaner. It does a great job and my cooktop is still looking good. If you have an induction range and you find a stainless steel pan doesnt work, you likely have one of two problem. Some stainless steel pans have additional metals in them which will cause them not to work and the other is a warped bottom. I deeply regret buying this range and given Samsung phones catching fire and the clothes washer lids blowing off... I will never buy any Samsung products.

I purchased the stainless steel, refrigerator with french doors, bottom freezer, and ice maker. What a $1300.00 mistake!!! The ice maker has no regulator; so, it only stops making ice cubes when the container is so full that the cubes are spilling behind the freezer. Every time we open the freezer ice cubes slide out from under the door and spill all over kitchen floor. We are constantly wiping up melting cubes and there are always wet areas on the floor. I called Customer Service; I was told it was a design flaw and they are aware of it. Unfortunately, there is nothing they can do about it. Seems like an unacceptable answer doesnt it! I certainly wish I had known about this design flaw before making this purchase. Now I am stuck wiping ice cubes and water up every time I open my freezer. My 2014 french door refrigerator, Model RF263BEAESR, began flooding below the pantry pan in the refrigerator section last spring. The first fix at our expense lasted about 2 weeks. Samsung agreed to pay for the 2nd fix, which has lasted for 3 months. Now it has the same problem again and they refuse to pay for the fix again. Their new policy is to only pay for repairs ONE time once an appliance is out of warranty, even if the repair is for the same problem that was obviously not fixed by previous repairs. Our repairmen told us that this model and others like it clearly suffer from a design defect, which Samsung refuses to admit is the case. Interestingly, turning off the icemaker prevents the periodic flooding. So our choices now are to pay every few months to have it fixed, to leave the icemaker off, or buy a new refrigerator. I will never buy any product from Samsung again.

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator that failed to cool less than 1 year after the purchase date. After calling Samsung customer service it took three repair companies to finally tell us that they could not work on the product because of a lack of training on closed system refrigerators; these vendors were provided by Samsung. After numerous phone calls to the Samsung Customer Service Department, I realized that nearly each time I was talking to representatives in several different locations to include the Philippines, the Virgin Islands and South Carolina. Eventually after my persistence and threats, Samsung arranged for me to return the refrigerator to the store I purchased it from. This happened nearly two weeks after we purchased another brand.Lastly, we were promised a maximum of $ 200.00 compensation for the nearly $ 600.00 of food that was spoiled. We were required to provide items and the price. We ended up emailing this information at least 7 times to their Executive Customers Service Department and have yet to receive reimbursement. It has been 64 days since we the unit became inoperable and numerous promises were made! To date, we have not been reimbursed!! We will NEVER buy or recommend SAMSUNG again!!!

The ice flies all over the floor regardless of the container/glass I use. And today, the ice jammed in the release element, backing up in the freezer. There was over $300 in groceries that went to waste, and it took us 3 days just to get someone on the phone to schedule a service call. When someone came out to service, they said there is a new cooling system in the refrigerator and no one at their company is trained to fix it. After contacting Samsung again, they stated there is, in fact, no one in the entire geographic area who can fix it. After 2 hours on hold, they agreed to exchange, which they state is a process, and that process will take up to 5 business days. Then, we have to wait on shipment and set up. So, they have nearly $2000 for a refrigerator that has sat idle more than it has worked, and we are out an additional $300 in food. When I asked for a more immediate resolution- like a refund- I was told they could not resolve the issue today due to their process. I requested to speak with someone who COULD resolve my issue today and waited on hold another 1/2 hour. I was told the manager would call me back within 24 hours. I doubt it.... Moving on to the AG and BBB.

Dreaded SE microwave called - On the phone as I typed with customer service for Samsung, I mentioned the epidemic warranty and was approved for service. After receiving a transaction number, I was transferred to the Executive Customer Relations Department who verified all my information and issued another ticket number. I will be waiting to hear from a service rep regarding who will be coming to fix my unit. If I understand correctly, some models made between 2008 and 2011 are covered so give it a shot. Refrigerator works fine. Water filter cartridge needs to be changed every 6 months. Thats okay too. But SAMSUNG refuses to provide information on what to do to recycle the used filter cartridge. I dont want to reuse it; I just dont want to add more plastic to landfills. Some other refrigerator manufacturers tell you how to empty used cartridges and recycle the plastic. SAMSUNG wont. I tried online search: no usable results. I tried online chat: they connected me to a Printer Expert for crying out loud! I called: they told me the cartridge cannot be recycled and they cannot reveal what plastic it is made of. If you care about the environment, do not buy SAMSUNG until they change this policy.

Months of frustration with a ridiculous repair process. We purchased a Samsung electric range as part of a package of appliances from Lowes for our home in Florida in July of 2016. We soon learned that the temperature in the oven was not being maintained properly. We found out that Lowes would not replace and that we needed to go through Samsung for repairs. We have now have had repair people visit 7 times and have had all electrical components replaced three times. Meantime we do not have an oven that works and have wasted all that time dealing with repair people and service technicians at Samsung that do not have a clue. Hundreds of reviews have been written regarding the same issue with these ovens. I am ready to take part in a class action suit/massive recall effort to force the miserably incompetent people at Samsung (think Galaxy Seven Smart Phone) to take appropriate action. In related items we separately purchased a Samsung TV that randomly failed after just two weeks while no one was in the room. Thankfully, Best Buy (unlike Lowes) took a stand and replaced the unit free of charge. Lastly, a craftsman was working at our house and overheard a conversation that I was having with Samsung one day. He told me that he had been a Samsung repair person for four years and finally quit his position because the processes and information that Samsung uses were so bad he was embarrassed. Im not sure if Dr. Oh-Hyun Kwon is still the CEO of Samsung, but he should be the most embarrassed of anyone. Under his leadership a once honored company is now an incompetent laughing stock. What a horrible legacy!

We had a Kenmore before and I didnt even have to rinse the dishes and there was never an odor.Weve only had this a month, Ive checked the filter which was clean, and I cant say the Samsung name being noted for quality has carried through to this item. I bought the Samsung dual flex because of the flex zones which seemed amazing. Well, let me tell you, the thing is very difficult to use. No more just turning the knob and having the oven on. Everything requires several steps which is frustrating when you are busy cooking and dont have a whole minute to program the oven. It seems petty until you are doing it.Worse is the lack of quality. My previous range was a 30 year old JennAir. A burner went out and the repair was $120. I should have repaired it. This Samsung is junk. We only cook 1-2 times per week with the stove (have an electric pressure cooker and infrawave we use a lot) and my son was trying to turn on the burner and it made a loud pop, the lights in the house flickered and it tripped the 50 amp breaker! I called Samsung right away. Their service center is in Compton, that Compton, and their service people treat you like you would expect to be treated in Compton based on the citys reputation. The guy told me to unplug the stove. I told him it would be a minute because I put a silicone bead between the stove and the counter so spills dont get under my stove and I would need a minute to razor that before moving the stove. The guy told me THAT was what broke the stove. I wish I was smart enough to have come up with sealing the stove and counter to stop the mess but a professional service person did that at my old house and it was amazing. And I have done it since because counter spills running between the stove and counter are gross. And there is no way a paper thin silicone bead on the outside edge of the stove and counter top seam would cause the stove to make a loud pop and then trip a breaker.A few days later someone calls me to come look at it. I thought I was covered at least under parts warranty. Nope! Nothing. $150 for someone to show up and then whatever the parts cost. The fact that there is only a 1 year warranty on this item should be a big red flag. This is the second Samsung appliance to let me down. I bought a Samsung fridge a while back and it was DOA. I ended up with a Whirlpool I hate because I let them haul the old fridge away and then had a fridge full of food spoiling and they offered to deliver the Whirlpool floor model in the next half hour. So 2 for 2 on the Samsungs being crap. And their service is horrible!! Im almost wondering if they are not using prison slave labor. When they call you it is a Compton number they call from. The way their customer service people talk to you and dont care at all prison labor would make sense.

I am having a week of nightmare with my Samsung refrigerator. My NEW refrigerator stopped cooling so I call this horrible company Samsung to help me and all they did was give me the number of a technician that could only come to my house and check the problem in 1 week. Finally when the technician came he told me that my NEW refrigerators compressor does not work and needs to be replaced, and the process takes from 3-5 business day. So I called Samsung to ask for help since all my good has spoiled and I need to keep ordering food for the entire family, including our 3 years old child and Samsung said just to keep the receipt. REALLY?! If you even consider to get a Samsung refrigerator just stop it... They will sell you a broken one and will not help with anything you need... REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY.

We bought an Appliance package last October from Bill Smith Appliances. I am very dissatisfied with the Electric range. It has serious safety issues. The knobs that turn off the range top, turn very easily as when someone walks by it, or if I reach up and brush the knob, the stovetop goes on and heats up the glass. I have done it many times. Recently, the stovetop went on, without turning it on, and burned a plastic bowl that sat on the top of the stove. Im afraid that it will cause a fire, or burn someone not knowing it was on. I am very unhappy with the Samsung products and would not recommend them to anyone. Very dangerous! There was also a promotion for buying the appliance for $350 off the total cost. I have contacted Samsung, support@samsungpromo.zendesk.com and Bill Smith, phone #239-275-5555, because we still havent received our rebate.

I bought a so-called Black Stainless Steel Samsung Range almost two years ago. I recently found out the hard way that this product is really stainless steel covered with a black vinyl coating. This coating is peeling on my range. It also scratches very easily leaving the shiny stainless steel below showing. Samsung charges more for this black vinyl coating yet they will not cover peeling or flaking of the coating in their warranty even if it occurs in the 1st year. They claim their warranty does not cover aesthetics. It is true, shiny stainless steel blotches on your otherwise nice looking range is ugly but does not affect the functioning of the stove which has been good. Samsung offers no remedy for this problem except that you can replace the peeling panels for hundreds of dollars. Apparently all brands of black stainless steel are this way except for Bosch appliances. Stay away from black stainless steel until they make a product that works and the manufacturers back it up with a warranty.

Purchased the Samsung Waterwall Dishwasher in June 2014. Brand new technology - $900 worth! Pffff!! Within 6 months, had to have a repairman out because of an error saying there was a problem with an O ring in the water pump. Within 12 months, they were out again for the same issue - TWICE! Finally replaced it on their 3rd trip. 12 months after that (2 days ago) got the 7E error, telling me the waterwall was being blocked and couldnt move. Nothing blocking the waterwall and it is just stuck. Repairman coming AGAIN tomorrow to check. My extended warranty through Lowes is up in June 2019. I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model DMR78AHS at Lowes in May 2010. Also, I reluctantly bought the extended warranty program, but in hindsight, Im glad I did. After about a year, we started hearing a slight grinding noise. I called service and they determined that all (12) of the plastic basket clips had broken off and lodged in the motor (impeller). The service tech had to disconnect the unit, pull it out, and turn it over to remove all of the plastic tabs. Luckily, the impeller was not damaged. The tech said that this is a very common problem with Samsung dishwashers. He installed new basket clips, supposedly made out of stronger plastic, but I seriously doubt it. I am very disappointed in Samsung kitchen appliances and will not purchase from them again.

Microwave model ME18H704SFS and Samsung Dishwasher purchased Dec 2015 and installed March 2016. Began use then. Dishwasher was a lemon immediately with an electronic board error E11. Samsung warranty sucks! Getting thru for help and not will to replace unit just to fix which wasnt possible. Terrible customer service. Dishwasher never worked from day 1. Microwave also lasted less than a year after installed. Feb 2016 went to use popcorn sensor feature and lo and behold received that E11 error! Not sure if we had ever used that feature before since it was at a cabin. That is used mostly in summer. However, tried all other sensor features and they all give same error now! Microwave still runs on regular time but I purchased this model specifically because I like the sensor feature. Called the number and was told they would fix same as the dishwasher thing. The repair company called and was scheduling to come fix as this is also a built-in unit and the charge was going to be 200 to come plus additional beyond that. I learned to ask because of dishwasher incident. They said no warranty coverage after Samsung told me yes. I decided to not waste any more time on this because I could buy a different microwave cheaper than wasting my time and energy trying to get it covered which is what Samsung hopes you do! Dont BUY Samsung appliance! I am waiting for my oven and fridge to have problems since I bought a suite of them for a new kitchen. I had originally liked a range and that is why I went with Samsung. Never had problems with that so when we remodeled a cabin I went with a Samsung suite of products purchased at Lowe’s. Got a great buy! I did not purchase the Lowes warranty. Next time I did because of all the issues with these appliances! Samsung warranty forget it!! Buy the store warranty. 1/2 of my Samsung appliances are garbage that I replaced with American made Maytag Dishwasher and Whirlpool microwave. Lowe’s made the dishwasher purchase right and took it back even though I did not buy their warranty - they were awesome! Thank you Lowe’s. I purchased a new suite of appliance this year Feb 2016 for my remodel of townhouse and will see if those appliances last longer than a week or year. Learned my lesson, I took back another Samsung microwave same model that had been purchased because the first one is crap and traded it also for Whirlpool. So now I have Whirlpool appliances from Lowe’s and I will report if I have any issues on them! I spent the extra for the warranty 3-year but I think it will be well worth it. I have little faith that appliances are made to last anymore! Good luck if you purchase Samsung! I will never buy Samsung again - not anything with that brand name on it.

RFG298AARS - This sexy-looking refrigerator has major inherent design flaws
RFG298AARS - This sexy-looking refrigerator has major inherent design flaws, and we have had nothing but problems with it. The first unit purchased from Lowes in mid 2008 (with the extended warranty) lasted less than a year. The ice maker stopped working and when the repairman pulled the unit out, the entire new Brazilian teak hardwood flooring underneath was warped and wet from an internal slow leak that was probably missed as it came off the assembly line. Lowes brought a brand new 2009 unit, hauled the faulty one away and provided a credit to fix the flooring. Fast forward to Sept. 2014 (one month out of warranty)... Fridge/freezer stop cooling altogether with no error codes. I caught it just in time to keep everything inside from spoiling completely. To fix the sealed compressor system will be $1000. The external ice/water dispenser is also showing major signs of corrosion (leaking from the inside out), even though this is supposed to be 100% stainless steel... Nothing we have tried will clean it.At this point we have transitioned back to our faux stainless steel 10+ year old side by side in the garage. The Energy Star, digital inverter compressor technology is nothing but headache and money wasted for the end consumer. This unit was produced to be super insulated with one of the largest capacities available. It is now a $2800 decoration, and like most people, I expect an appliance with that price tag to last much longer than 5 years. The issues I have listed echo numerous complaints all over internet forums. We have spent over $10,000 on Samsung products in the past 10 years, but with this incident we no longer have any confidence in their products. In other words, give me old skool. I could have purchased 5 of my mothers fridges for the amount I spent on this piece of junk... and hers is 20 years old.

My Samsung refrigerator broke again. This is the third time since I spent nearly $2000 to buy it new in 2013. But aside from the poor performance of the unit the real problem is the customer service regarding the repair. So far Ive called Samsung every day for the past 11 days and I am on hold again now. Apparently Samsung customer service will listen to the problem you are experiencing, very nicely tell you to expect a call within 24-48 business hours and then throw your information in the trash because nothing happens after that. Every day, I have to begin the process again so in this scenario 24 -48 business hours never passes. Dont buy a Samsung refrigerator. They break and no one is interested in fixing it. Or paying for it. Or replacing it unless you want to box it up and ship it off yourself (they actually suggested I do this!!) There are plenty of refrigerator companies. I have this fridge for 1.5 years. Love the size, but milk is always going sour before the expiry date; cheese molding; and leftovers didnt last. Rationalized all these things - must be leaving the milk out too long, must have dirty kids hands touching the cheese, etc. Because the digital temperature reading said it was 34 deg in the fridge, it must be accurate right? Wrong! Verification by 3 separate mercury and digital thermometers show that the fridge compartment temp runs 40-50 deg and thats in winter (wonder how warm it had been running last summer!). This is everywhere in the fridge compartment, top shelf, bottom shelf, door, right next to the ice maker, etc. I cannot find any place in the fridge that runs less than 40 degrees. In hindsight, no wonder food was spoiling! The fridge programming will not allow the temperature to be set any lower than 34F. Service technician has replaced the main control board and the digital touch screen assembly. Have not resolved the problem. I phoned Samsung customer support and was only told that since the factory warranty is expired, they can and will do nothing. Suspecting a design flaw that they are aware of. I will update if ever fixed. Freezer and flex-drawer hold reasonable to programmed temperature (generally 2-6 degrees above programmed temp, sometimes 10 degrees higher), but those compartments have larger programming range. Can program the freezer to -8 and the flex-drawer to 29, so even if they run higher than programmed, it is OK for food storage. But even with fridge set as low as it will go (34), it still is too warm for safe food storage.

I bought a beautiful Samsung refrigerator in July. It has water/ice on the door and a second climate drawer. Laid out perfectly - plenty of storage. In August, we noticed it was leaking water under the filter so we replaced the filter and it didnt improve. We turned off the water to the fridge and the leak continued. We called a repairman, through Samsung, and waited a couple of days for him to come. He diagnosed a broken valve and had to order a replacement part that he thought would take 8-10 days. When I hadnt heard back in 3 weeks, I called the repair company and they said the part was back ordered. They suggested I contact Samsung to get an estimated delivery time. Thus began 6 weeks of me contacting Samsung, spending hours on the phone, asking the same question, repeating the same story to every person I spoke with. Finally, I could stand it no longer and begged to be escalated. I finally found out there was no estimated time - no one knew if this part would ever be available. In the meantime, I have to daily mop up the water that comes out and floods under the produce bins; the second drawer is not usable because the water fills it and freezes. It ruins any food packaging. The water also spills out the drawers onto the floors and my hardwood floors are now damaged. I was escalated to Jaz. What a disappointment. She ignored my calls for days and only finally tried to speak with me when I hit 0 from her voice mail and begged another rep to help me. This lady definitely needs additional training in handling angry customers. She ultimately offered to swap the fridge, a frustrating process because we have a small opening and in your newer model of this fridge, youve added side vents that arent included in the specs and wont fit the opening. We finally came to a solution on October 31 and she 100% guaranteed that the new fridge would arrive on November 14 at the latest. On November 17th, I called at the end of the day to say I still hadnt received the fridge, not that I was surprised at this point. She committed to getting back to me once she found out where it was. She left me a message at noon the following day to say that the fridge was with a local delivery company and she would call back when she had a time estimate. I called again today, November 19, and left another message. Its been almost 3 months since I could use my fridge properly. I still have to mop up the leaking water and theres a whole section of the fridge I cant even put food in, not to mention no ice or water. She did offer me $150 as repayment for food spoilage, but I have not seen hide nor hair of that either. This is the WORST experience Ive ever had with an electronics manufacturer and I still have no idea when it will be resolved.

I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator, RS265TDWP, on 8/20/2012 from my local Best Buy and I did not purchase the extended warranty on it. It stopped cooling the refrigerator section on 3/10/2016, 3 years and 6 months old and in less than 24 hours box went from 34* to 54* causing me to scramble to save contents and make plans for service/repairs heading into the weekend. I called the phone number inside the refrigerator which stated it was for factory guaranteed repairs or accessories and did receive prompt response from whoever they were on the East Coast. However the local repair service they told me would be contacting me in 24-72 hours on the West Coast to perform repairs had a number of not so favorable reviews when I researched them online locally. Being out of warranty and with no extended warranty I knew I would be responsible for all repair cost. After thinking about the reviews for about 5-6 hours on a Friday afternoon I went another direction. I had another repair service person working on my refrigerator by 5:30 that evening and he told me the story of the notoriously lousy Samsung Refrigerator saga regarding this problem. His comment prior to starting, frozen evaporation fan, frozen coils, etc., etc. Findings once began work, evaporation fan motor frozen stuck, evaporation coils frozen over, insulation saturated (ruined), unit needs manual defrosting, back panel unit needs replacing. Because he sees this all the time, he stocked Samsung back panel in his service vehicle, good for me I guess, at least I did not have to wait another week for parts to come. He had job completed in about an hour and repairs totaled $411.09. Buyer Beware the internet is full of similar stories regarding Samsung refrigerators and this freezing over problem. Many have been a class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for this. My suggestion, do not buy Samsung Refrigerators without doing your homework and really investigating this issue.

I called Samsung customer service to find out what I can do for my stove that displays an error code and will not work. I was told by the rep to unplug it then plug it back in. I did that and it still wouldnt work. I was referred to another department that tried to sell me a service plan for almost $300. That I cannot afford. I cant believe a stove less than 2 years old has this many problems. All I can say is buyers beware. Dont spend your hard earned money on this product if you are not prepared to shell out more money 1+ year later. I had an old stove that was purchased in the 60s that was so reliable. This is a downgrade from that. They should be embarrassed with this inferior product. I hope this review can save someone else from the frustration I feel.

The Samsung French doors, freezer on bottom refrigerator sometimes keeps things cold, and sometimes doesnt. The temperature read-out always, always says 37 degrees F, but thats not true. The compressor overheats causing ice build-up in the vents, causing the temperature to rise even though it still says 37 degrees! Food must be removed and the fridge thawed. This has happened multiple times over the course of three years! This is not just a one in a million lemon. This is a DEFECT that others have experienced, and Samsung is aware of it. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator. You will regret it. The fridge was purchased in 2014 for a little more than $2,000. Waste of money.

Do not use the self-clean feature on your Samsung ovens. Google Samsung stove door won’t open and you’ll find 100s of complaints for the same issue. Door locks (will no longer open) and the control panel fries 30-45 minutes into the cycle due to high heat melting the thermostat. Samsung advises you it’s out of warranty, and will provide you with a phone number to an authorized service tech in your area to call and set up a repair at your expense of course.

I bought a Samsung microwave about a year and half ago. At the time it was a fancy microwave with all the bells and whistles. Great right?! Yea...I thought so too. So after shelling out quite a bit for a microwave, the door actually failed within 1 year. It just randomly came up with an error code and stopped working. Apparently, this was a well known issue with this model and Samsung replaced the door. However, the replacement door is also now under a year of use and the back side of the door is plastic. Well it literally crumbled into pieces. I called Samsung and they told me conveniently the manufacturer warranty is 1 year total and the replacement door is not warranted for an additional year. So since I am 4 months outside of the original warranty (not when the new door was replaced) it would cost $250 at least to fix. Its a practically new microwave and it needs $250 to fix. Samsung does not care about customer service at all. I will no longer support their products. This is not right.

My dishwasher is not working properly. I called and a tech came to my house. He indicated the heat sensor and control board is bad. The control board was defective and therefore made my heat sensor go bad. I am very upset because the repair is going to cost more than the dishwasher. Samsung product. I read a service bulletin on the internet and it says the control board in that unit needs to be replaced due to a manufacturer error. My model number is dw80f600utb. My dishwasher does not work. Samsung not stand by this product! Piece of garbage!

We bought our Samsung refrigerator in Feb. 2013. Ice maker has never worked. I called Samsung and went through the trouble shoot steps twice. It never worked. The second technician I talked to said the first one didnt know what he was talking about. I called them again; they sent out a technician. They had to send them out of course while we were both at work. My husband took off to be able to meet him there. He called and said he wasnt going to be able to make it and told me to tell my husband to go back to work. I called his dispatcher; he came out anyway. He told my husband to be sure and buy the extended warranty! WHY DIDNT WE LISTEN? We had to replace the ice maker. Mind you it was a brand new $1,400 refrigerator, and the ice maker never worked! Now the flap on the front of the door where the ice comes out will not close, and air gets up into the ice maker and it freezes then wont come out of the door. So we have to manually shut the flap so ice wont freeze. I called Samsung again. They are sending a technician from some place I have never heard of and of course, one of us has to take off work again to have our brand new refrigerator fixed! I will never again buy another Samsung product and will let everyone know about my bad experience with Samsung. Why didnt I read this page before buying a Samsung product!

We chose this particular stove because of the large cook top surface with clean edges. We have also enjoyed using the built in air fryer on numerous occasions now and LOVE it!!! We are able to cook and entire meal on it with left overs! The controls are easy to understand for the cooktop and oven. If you are in the market for a new stove, you cant go wrong with this one.... We had to wait 3 weeks to have our washer serviced because they did not have an authorized service person in area. Today we paid $90.00 for a Samsung service person to come from Savannah GA to tell us that we need a $300.00 motor for the icemaker... plus labor... next week! Oh and by the way... We recently purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (Model#RS22HDHPNSR/AA) back in June from hhgregg. According to the date on the inside panel the refrigerator was built sometime in January 2014. We purchased the unit June 2014 and it’s barely six months later and the refrigerator stopped working! That refrigerator wasn’t cheap in price but obviously that wasn’t the case when it came to its assembly. The refrigerator died on us this past Saturday, October 11, 2014 and I put in a repair request online Sunday via the Samsung website. As I had put all the details required to get the process moving, imagine my surprise when those same details were requested yet again when someone finally got around to calling. So once again I sent the information via the website and my personal email. After sending the information again I was under the impression that a repair person would be sent out ASAP to remedy the malfunctioning refrigerator problem but I was wrong. A repair person didnt show up until Thursday October 16, 2014, five days later. Let me reiterate - five days have passed with us being without a working refrigerator. The repairman arrived before 12pm. He proceeded to inform my mother that he was told that if the refrigerator could be repaired he would repair it. He told us that it would take two to four hours to fix the problem. He checked various aspects of the refrigerator and spoke with someone that I assume was a representative of the Samsung company via his company phone and shortly thereafter around 1:15pm, he went outside. We assumed he went to his truck to retrieve the necessary materials or tools to fix the problem and we haven’t seen the repairman since!!! So, not only have we been without a working refrigerator six days but to add insult to injury the person that the company sent out to repair the malfunctioning unit has left us in a lurch without so much as a word!My mother has been on the phone with numerous company reps since Monday and we have yet to have this situation resolved. The last person she spoke with today (10-17-14) said someone would be out Monday. I wont believe it until I see it. I am quite disgusted with Samsung and personally will NEVER purchase product they create.

I bought my fridge June 2010. It is a very large double door stainless steel model with deli tray, freezer on bottom and cost $2700 from Lowes. A few months ago, I noticed water on my floor, so first thing that came to mind was the kids are playing with water dispenser, so I locked it. That did not solve the problem so I was not sure of what to do since it was not a large amount of water. Then during my routine cleaning, I had a burst of energy, and decided to remove the deli tray completely and that is when I noticed a huge amount of water! I could not believe it! Where was it coming from? No visible leaks, cracks and nothing. I tried for weeks to find someone to come out, with no luck. I finally called Lowes and they sent someone from A&E who told me that my fridge was not properly leveled and water that is suppose to drain down is leaking forward. It popped me $216 to level my fridge. I was burned but thought it was better than $2000 for a new fridge. I checked it today (3 days have passed) and guess what? A huge puddle of water under the deli drawer! I called A&E and they said that they will come out, and waive the service fee but I will be responsible to order new parts. Are you kidding me? I just gave you $216! Never again will I buy Samsung. I wish I knew about this site before dropping big bucks on a big piece of **!

Samsung dishwasher model DW80F800UWS was delivered on Nov. 28th. Looked great, but thats it. It left food in the bottom and food would be all over our other dishes too. My wife called the store we bought it from, Corbeil Appliance in Whitby. The sales lady told her she will have to call Samsung. So my wife did and they gave her a service center to call to check out the dishwasher. Now, the dishwasher never worked from the first day. My wife tried the dishwasher a few times and then called the store within 5 days of it being delivered. We should have been given a new dishwasher from the store and they should deal with Samsung for their horrible quality, but the store instructed my wife to call the service center. Can you believe a brand new Samsung product doesnt work the first time you try it and you have to call a service tech check it out? I guess that shows a lack of quality and assurance checks for Samsung. And Corbeil Appliance store should not be directing my wife to call Samsung after it never worked (and she called within 5 days of delivery). Anyways, the service tech came out on Dec.10th and said the sump pump is not working. They will order one from Samsung and then reschedule an appt. The next appt. was Dec.22 and the service tech put in the new sump pump and you guessed it... It did not work. So now it is almost 1 month later and we still do not have a working dishwasher. It is Dec. 23rd. Corbeil Appliances, the store we bought the Samsung dishwasher from does not care because they got our money no matter if the piece of crap works or not. Samsung doesnt care, when I called them they said I needed to have the service tech back. Why?, I asked. Samsung says, Because that is our policy, unless the service tech writes on the service order that the unit needs to be replaced. So I tried to call the service tech and they are on holiday until the New Year.So to sum it up, the Dishwasher was delivered on Nov. 28th and does not work, Corbeil Appliance was called to say the brand new appliance does not work. Corbeil Appliance told us to call Samsung. Called Samsung and we have a had 2 visits from the service tech and the dishwasher still does not work as of Dec.23rd. Samsung and Corbeil do not care that they sell brand new appliances that do not work. Please DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG products or buy from Corbeil Appliances in Whitby. To be continued in the 2016. Maybe the brand new dishwasher will be repaired during 2016 or who knows it could continue to 2017?

The dishwasher failed the first time last year in April, 17. We were on vacation... Kids shut off machine and shut off breaker in electric panel as noise would not stop. I came home and tried machine and it worked fine. Used machine normally for a few washes and the LE error occurred. This has happened every week since. Local repair companies do not want to come and fix it... Same comment... Its a Samsung... No thanks! (Universal and Totem Appliance Repair). Went online and found weird solutions due to moisture issue around motor which causes the LE error and unit to fail. Need to leave machine off with Electric Breaker off as well. Needs to be off for several days and up to a week!!! Sometimes as is this week. Very frustrating as The Brick (now Leons owned) sold us this unit after our original purchase of a Brick House model failed after three months of use. No refund but had store credit to purchase another unit. We bought the Samsung as it seemed to have the best features... Top rack... water wall... ultra quiet etc. Pretty useless features when you cant use the machine for days and weeks at a time!!! After having A Maytag for 14 years with no issues till a recall issue had a service tech ruin the machine. We then purchased the new model Samsung DW80H993 SERIES. The 5 Year Warranty sold us... So much for that. Never again. With no support from Samsung locally and authorized dealers that will not come out fix the problem as it is a design flaw I will buy other models.

If you are considering purchasing a Samsung dishwasher, DONT. If you spend
If you are considering purchasing a Samsung dishwasher, DONT. If you spend a penny on a Samsung dishwasher, its a penny too much, you might as well throw that money in the garbage. I am pro Samsung for many things, we own several Samsung TVs, phones, washer, dryer, fridge, stove, microwave, DVD players and I am happy with every one of those products, but the dishwasher is another story. The racking system is horrible, so your dishes dont fit properly, they dont stay in place. We have tried every possible layout and nothing works good. No exaggerating, 90% of the dishes come out dirty, especially the top rack items. Drinking glasses, coffee mugs, etc NEVER EVER come out clean. They always have crumb like substances dried into them, requiring us to then soak the glasses in the sink for a while to try to loosen the residue enough for me to clean them. And dont waste your time writing their customer services, because its a total waste of your time. And yes, we take very good care of our appliances, and clean out the drain, the sprayer, everything they recommend and it doesnt do a stitch of good. My best advice, go with another brand for a dishwasher.

We purchased this refrigerator less than two years ago. It worked OK for maybe a year and then the dispensing ice maker started making horrible noises, dispensing wet ice, cubes freezing together in the ice bin. I ended up simply turning it off and just using the ice maker located in the freezer compartment.Around the end of the first year, we began hearing an annoying clicking sound, which was caused by the cooling fan inside the back panel being COMPLETELY encased in ice.I research this model refrigerator on the internet and found a myriad of Folks having the same issues. For the next 3 years, I periodically had to either use a hairdryer for a quick fix or remove the entire back panel to de-ice the entire bank of cooling coils per instructions on YouTube from dozens of unfortunate Consumers who purchased this piece of junk.ALSO, there are MANY Class Action Lawsuits listed on the internet related to Samsung poor engineering of the automatic defrost function(s) of this particular model. In 50+ years of marriage, we have purchased 8 - 10 refrigerators for our homes and have NEVER had an experience such as this. Today, we took delivery of a new refrigerator. Suffice it to say, it was NOT a Samsung. Samsung should be ashamed to have placed such a poorly engineered product on the market. I would STRONGLY recommend that anyone reading this NEVER purchase a Samsung refrigerator....They did not stand behind this product.

Now same thing, seven months later same thing, this time the service tech said he knew what was wrong as he walked into our house said that it was a design flaw and it happens to all of them. Now were going on three weeks with four kids without a fridge. I spent 2 hours on the phone with a representative and he was even laughing at me a couple of times. Ice will build up and the blower fan is grinding the ice causing the cord to get hot will burn you when you unplug it. Afraid it will catch fire but they still just laughed. My husband and I purchased a Samsung 4 door model refrigerator Model RF2339
My husband and I purchased a Samsung 4 door model refrigerator Model RF2339011SR/AA from our local store in November 2016 at a cost of well over $2,000. We paid a premium price because of the unique styling and because we have several other Samsung appliances in our home and because we’ve had no issues with them. This has certainly not been the case with this refrigerator.I. Several months after our purchase we called Samsung regarding a leveling leg for the front of the refrigerator that had broken and some additional plastic door adjustment snap rings so that we could level one door that was slightly lower than its mate. This simple request took multiple calls with us being passed from person after person and department to department and being told, ridiculously, that a technician would have to come to our home install the leveling foot and snap rings. This was finally resolved however, and we were sent the parts. II. About 2 ½ years after our purchase, We contacted Samsung because of an ongoing problem we were experiencing with the ice maker – ice freezing up in and around the tray and blocking the entire ice maker unit up with ice. After 2 weeks of multiple calls and disconnected phone calls, Samsung agreed to a one time “warranty extension” as long as we could find a local repair person and pay him in advance after which Samsung would reimburse us. We did this and we still have an ice maker that freezes up. We have to keep it turned off and only turn it on when we need to refill a bag of ice. This is the number of people we had to speak to in that instance, and the names they gave: Samantha Julisa Juan Roy Andelo Shamia Stacy Christina Kimberly Maria Natasha Alexis Louise TayahanaThat’s 14 different people and again, the icemaker still freezes up.III. Now we have a new problem. On December 22, 2020, we called Samsung regarding the clear finish, or fingerprint coating, separating from the stainless material on the bottom left freezer door. It is very noticeable and looks like a stain on the door. We spoke with someone named Garrett, who, after a 45 minute conversation finally said that he would escalate the issue and asked that we send photographs to efax@sea.samsung.com with the ticket number of ** noted in the subject line, which we did. We were told that we would hear back from Samsung in 3 to 5 days. Not hearing from Samsung, we called on December 31, 6 business days later, and spoke with Hassie who again “could do nothing” but would transfer us to a supervisor, but the wait time was 1 ½ hours. We opted for a callback which happened about an hour later. We spoke with Delson this time, a “case manager” he said. Despite my insistence that this was an obvious manufacturing defect that caused the finish to separate from the substrate, the only point he could relay was that it was “Cosmetic Damage” which was not covered by warranty and that he “could do nothing to help us”. We asked to speak to a supervisor and were told that one would call us within 48 hours. Of course by this time we didn’t really expect that to happen, but we waited until January 8, 2021 to call Samsung yet again and this time spoke with someone named Damascus who again said he would try to get our claim escalated to manager level. After he tried to contact one for 8 to 10 minutes, he informed us that the wait time would be 2 hours and 10 minutes and we would get a call back, which we did, this time from Pamala who was insistent that nothing could be done.Taking a break in the narrative here, please understand that all along we have only been requesting that Samsung replace the defective door which I was more than willing to install. You only had to send a door, which I expect would have been less than $100.00 your cost, to alleviate the defect and make the customer happy. At every phone call we had to go over the entire situation again wasting anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes per call, not including wait times, to actually speak to a person. It continues, on January 15, 2021 we called again and spoke to someone named Wisvert, same thing all over again, a case manager would call us next week with answer. Nothing. On January 22 not hearing from Samsung, we called again, this time speaking with Kendra who forwarded us to Selanda. We thought we were getting somewhere now. She told us we would have to pay a technician to come to the home to determine that it was a manufacturing defect and then Samsung would replace the part only, not the labor. When I reminded her that we had sent pictures that Samsung technicians could look at to determine that it was a manufacturing defect, she said there were no pictures. That was upsetting to us after the time and effort we went through to provide them as requested. When I asked her to put in writing via email that Samsung would replace the part if a repair technician found that it was a manufacturing defect we were strangely and abruptly disconnected! No call back either, On January 24, a Sunday morning, we were surprised to receive a call from Samsung Electronics Exchange and Refund Department, a Marcos, who called to inform us that there were no options and that they could not take care of this defect. Please note that this defect of the finish separating from the substrate is not due to any harsh treatment from us and that we offered to install the door only asking Samsung to provide the replacement part. The terrible service that we have received from Samsung’s “customer service” is beyond belief. The repeated passing from person to another person, the long wait times, the limited language skills making it hard to communicate, and the continuous offers to call back that don’t happen, all appear to be a tactic on Samsung’s part to discourage customers from pursuing remedies to problems with its products. It turns out that our experience is not unusual for Samsung. According to the Better Business Bureau as of this date, it has fielded 20,375 complaints in 3 years and over 1000 reviewers have rated Samsung a 1.02 out of a 5 stat rating. What a shameful record for a company. You have lost us, a valuable repeat customer, over this lack of customer service, we will advise friends and family not to expect any customer service from Samsung if they purchase a Samsung product and we will be placing our comments and this narrative regarding these issues everywhere applicable online. Please, in the spirit of truthfulness, delete all claims of the importance of customer service from your advertising and phone messages as we have never experienced any caring customer service from your representatives. We’ve never been so disappointed in a company.

I had a GE glass top for 15 years before this Samsung and it was never this difficult to clean. Then three months later I noticed a very small crack on the glass top. I called Lowes and they only cover for 30 days because I didnt buy the extended warranty. I called Samsung and sent photos but no response. I cant believe the money I paid for this Samsung stove. The top seems to be made differently. The burner areas look like they have rust on them and burn marks. It looks like I never clean the stove but truthfully that seems to be the only thing I do is clean the stove top. I have tried all glass top cleaners and none seem to work. I hate this stove and recommend anyone that wants to buy a samsung NOT to. It looks awful in my kitchen. Samsung and Lowes dont seem to care about it. They think cause there is a small crack that it was my fault. I swear I did not drop or bang on my new stove to make this crack. I am telling you people that are looking for the new double door Samsung electric range, DONT. I am so disappointed with this product.

The ice maker on this is faulty, I have read several reports after trouble with ours and it seems to be a recurring issue. It makes little to no ice, freezes up, makes a horrible sound and drips water every time you try to get ice or water. It took 5 appointments all with 6 hour windows for them to finally say it was faulty. I am expecting a reimbursement check and I will never buy this fridge again.

The Samsung dishwasher is quiet, large, and does a great job cleaning dishes. As an added bonus, it has an appealing outer appearance. It uses less water than older generation dishwashers and it uses less electricity.

Samsung Microwave Model #SMH2117S, Serial # J65B7WOD602622A - I dont have an Order Number or Receipt because this was a gift. This over the stove model was purchased on 2014, a Mothers Day Gift from my kids to me. I am retired and on a budget so they surprised me with the stove and microwave. I was able to select the items in the store, Conns, and I decided to go with Samsung, believing it would be the best buy. Well, I was wrong. Samsung microwave went dead on me last week, June 2016. I woke up at 5am to crackling sounds looming out in the quiet of the morning. I had heard the sound before but not as loud as this time. I stood around the kitchen dining area where I had followed the sound and waiting to hear it and again I heard the crackle and then it stopped. I was unsure and couldnt pinpoint it, so I went back to bed.The next day I discovered my microwave was dead, all lights off. I could smell a burnt odor as I opened the door. Came to realize that was the crackling sound. I thank God that it didnt start a fire. I contacted Samsung and of course, the microwave is out of warranty and after much of almost begging on my part, they offered to pay for the parts. The service is $80 for trip and diagnosis and $80 for labor, so Im stuck. A brand new microwave and still have to pay out of pocket for a defective appliance that now Im not sure if I can trust to run even after a repair if it can be repaired. What a disappointment. The microwave I had before was almost 18 years old and was still working properly. I just wanted new appliances. I wish Samsung would stand behind their product and make it right. There are too many dissatisfied customers.

We bought this refrigerator less than two years ago, and it is leaking water from under the crisper drawers. After reading online about this problem, I see that this problem is a HUGE ONE with a lot of consumers. We will never buy a Samsung appliance of any kind.

My husband has been buying Samsung product for 20 years and since building our new home of course all of everything has to be Samsung...well either theyre under new management or they are getting too comfortable with their name, because we have had bad experience with the oven the 1st year. The door got stuck self cleaning and burned out the display panel and still cant see the numbers on it even after getting it fixed parts in all service paid $400. Microwave numbers seems to jam sometimes but still work. The Samsung vacuum cleaner has no adjustment, very hard to push and now 4 year later within the 5 year of our new home the refrigerator bottom freezer does not work.We YouTube fix it yourself and nothing has worked...top work but bottom doesnt and not to mention the dishwasher top rack will fall on one side off the track. We paid cash from Best Buy for all of our Samsung appliances and I am very disappointed and wait a minute our 50 tv all of a sudden had gotten a green line to appear in the left hand corner. Dont know how that happened...we are 50 year old. No kids to cause any of this damage nor do we have pets. We are very clean people and dont want to have to replace all these but looks like soon its gonna happen so this is our past experience with Samsung products

Re: Samsung Double door fridge Model # BS22HDHPNSR/AA Serial 067143AF301211J bought in 2015. This fridge constantly gave us problems and totally stopped working 4 times with total loss of frozen food and perishable items. When Samsung customer service was called they suggested pressing some buttons and tell them if we heard a whirring noise! We did that and it worked on 3 occasions! In December 2017 it happened again and when called they said it was out of Warranty and we should not call them again! We went to Lowes to buy a new fridge and the appliance guy told us that the sealed unit including the compressor in our Samsung Fridge has a Five year warranty. On calling Samsung they now agreed that the sealed unit and compressor indeed had a warranty for 5 years and directed us to contact their service center Lakes Electronics, 2101 W. Atlantic Blvd #108, Pompano Beach, FL. 33069.They sent their technician on 11/10/2017 who confirmed that the compressor is locked (Error 84E) and charged us $99.00 for his visit. He asked us for the original receipt which We could not provide as a lot of paperwork was damaged and lost in the Hurricane! We contacted the Manager at Lakes Electronics who confirmed that without the receipt they cannot repair though the compressor and sealed unit was still under a 5 year warranty as Samsung had not paid them for work done without a receipt in the past! We then contacted Samsung and after much cajoling We were given a one time parts and labor ticket valid for one week only. A repair was scheduled but as the compressor did not arrive on time, the ticket was cancelled. After the holidays We were asked to call Samsung again for a new ticket valid for 7 days and a repair was scheduled, but cancelled again as compressor had not arrived. Finally, when the compressor had arrived a repair was performed in our home on 01/25/2018. We were made to sign a work completed sheet by the technician who said that you should start using it from next morning! Lo and Behold, come Morning and both the Freezer and the Refrigerator compartments showed a higher than room temperature!!! We contacted Lakes Electronics and were told that as We had signed the work completed sheet they cannot come back to check unless We get a new Ticket from Samsung. This time Samsung customer representative told us that our unit was not under warranty anymore. When asked to be directed to her Senior who reluctantly agreed to talk to us. We requested that Samsung should do any one of the following: 1) Arrange for their service center to pick it up and do a complete and Satisfactory repair before returning it to us. 2) Give us a replacement for their defective item. 3) Arrange a refund. Neither of the above options were accepted but a New one week one time repair ticket was issued and the technician again came on 01/29/2017. He confirmed in his notes that both sides were not cooling and the compressor was making a loud noise. He asked for advice from Samsung tech department if a replacement should be done but this was summarily rejected and he was asked to change the Condenser and purge all the gas (?Freon) and flush it with Nitrogen. As he did not have either Nitrogen or a replacement condenser a new appointment was scheduled for 02/01/2018. A Nitrogen flush was performed and We were shown that it was working to his satisfaction and that We ought to sign the work completed form again. We refused to sign and asked him to wait for 24 hours before signing the work completed form. After 2 days i.e today the fridge is dead again and all the frozen food including expensive Salmon Lox purchased over the weekend is rotting! WE HAVE INCURRED A LOSS OF AT LEAST $4000 IN DAMAGED AND LOST PERISHABLE ITEMS, long hours waiting for proper if never a prompt response! Marital discord as the wife wanted me to dump the Samsung fridge and all the other Samsung products in the house and replace them with preferably American made products!

Bought this Samsung dishwasher DW80F800UWS only 6 months ago and have had to call 3 times for servicing for various issues. The first was a broken door latch, second was noises from the pump and not cleaning correctly and finally it stopped draining. For the cost of this dishwasher, there are way too many issues. I will say that Samsung does send a tech out promptly but that doesnt alleviate the frustration of having to call them so many times for repairs in such a short time frame. I wouldnt recommend this dishwasher.

I agree with all other complaints. I have had this dishwasher (Samsung dishwasher DMT800) since October 2010. I have always had problems since the beginning. I had to replace plastic raisers on top rack at least 3 times and another is breaking. It does not clean dishes. I have to use heavy load just to get a little cleaner. Plastic detergent door doesnt always open. I cannot put any dishes close at all. My other dishwasher (in the old home rental) still works great. I wish I still had it. I have tried several different ways to get better cleaning from the dishwasher. I should not have to baby this machine to clean my dishes. I have an OE error now. I purchased it at Lowes and extended warranty. I called on 02/03/13 and cannot look for service until 02/13/2013. Very inconvenient. I actually have shopped for a new one. Does not have rinse, only cycle. I was told by the salesman it did. All I want is a dishwasher you can use rinse only and put dishes in and have clean dishes. Not too much to ask!

Didnt even get 3 years out of my Samsung model DW80J3020 dishwasher that I purchased in 2016 as part of a 4 piece Samsung appliances pkg from Lowes. Ive had Samsung TVs before and really hadnt had any issues. However their supposed convection stove takes 30% longer to cook than a traditional oven, the refrigerator makes popping noises at night loud enough to wake us up, the microwave makes a thumping noise while the interior dish is rotating, and now the dishwasher has no function whatsoever--no lights, nada. I went online to research and couldnt believe the number of posts relating to the same thing. This is it for me and Samsung appliances. Theyre priced to attract a sale but, as is the adage in so many contexts: You get what you pay for.
