Unless someone chose to make it right, which they wont, I would never buy a refrigerator ever again from Samsung. Absolutely, hands down, the worse decision I made. Spent nearly $2,000 and I would have been better off keeping my 20 year old Kenmore that ran very well but was outdated. Ive always used Samsung products, from TVs to phone, however this item rusted within a year (no, no harsh chemicals were ever used and water was quickly dried off). Fan motor went in 2 years. Fan motor was under warranty so no problem, however rusted doors were never covered as they were cosmetic. Samsungs products are purchased precisely for that reason - theyre beautiful. But trust me, they are garbage. Samsung didnt want to make it right - so no more TVs... I am an iPhone guy now... never again until they make it right.

Im envious of the other reviewer who had to wait for major problems after 4 years. Weve owned our French Door model costing approx. $2,600 for 2 years. Repaired ice maker 3 times and now it just gave up, spewing metal parts into the ice tray. The attached photo shows what you can expect to find in your ice. Samsungs Indian Service Dept. just says were so sorry, please upload photos and we will contact you. 4 weeks in, no response despite many phone calls. Do not waste your time calling Samsung service. Buy an appliance from a company that at least pretends to care e.g GE or Kitchen Aid. Too bad, it looks beautiful and has all the features we wanted, but its garbage.

I purchased a Samsung French door stainless steel refrigerator in August 20
I purchased a Samsung French door stainless steel refrigerator in August 2012, at Best Buy for 2500.00. I have never been so frustrated with any of my appliances as I am with this one. All of my Kenmore appliance lasted 25 years with maybe two repairs. After the first year 4 of the six door trays cracked, and recently the freezer handle broke off when I opened the freezer door. At this point the only thing I like about the refrigerator is the chime that sounds when I leave a door open. Every time I see a Samsung in the store I feel sick knowing that some unsuspecting person may buy one. So far... knock on wood, I have had no problem with the cooling system or ice-maker, but if and when I do I will buy a new one from a trusted brand. This has been the worst choice of an appliance that I ever made. Do not purchase this product and subject yourself to frustration!

I bought model RF217ACPN./XAA (freezer drawer on bottom, french door refrig on top) and it died in less than a year.... Drawers filled with water and starts making this horrible sound non-stop. Samsung has sent people here FOUR TIMES and the issue persists. After HOURS of phone calls/complaints/pleads with them to get people out to fix it, they kept saying we are now out of warranty, even though the issue has never been fixed since day one.... Finally, they sent out a tech who said it can not be fixed but I am now in limbo waiting for a replacement or buy back... They are trying to wear me down but they have picked the wrong person as I will move hell and high water for justice... We were so happy when we bought our first new fridge, and it didnt last a year and all the time and days off of work for technicians to come out and it STILL isnt fixed. Nobody has time to deal with this every few months and no one has an extra 2,000 to buy a new fridge a year after buying the 1st one. There has to be lemon laws about this and I am shocked to see how many people have the same experience. I found a class action suit everyone should look into. Even if your model is not listed, sign up... If it falls through, we should start a new one because there are too many similar stories here of people getting ripped off by Samsung! I urge you to never give up and fight for what is right... People shouldnt lose their hard earned money on a product that doesnt work!

We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (RH25H5611SR/AA) in June 2
We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (RH25H5611SR/AA) in June 2016 from Sears. In December, the circulating fan in the refrigerator side gave out. Do a search - this is a continuing problem for Samsung refrigerators, across many models. It took 3 weeks and many phone calls before the service guy showed up and finally fixed it with a replacement part in less than 15 minutes. Three days ago, the same thing happened to the freezer side. Sometimes the fan runs (noisily) and it cools, mostly it doesnt and the freezer sits at about 45 degrees with water from melting ice running out the front. So I started a service request online late Tuesday evening. Thursday noon, Samsung called. I had to play along with their script for troubleshooting which is a huge OMG waste of time. Finally, everything looked good, the support person assured me - I would just have to monitor it for 24 hours (they are expecting a miraculous healing?), then I could call back and schedule an repair appointment. Okay - I called the next day, same time. Now let me mention, this refrigerator was a floor model. So it was sold more than a year after it was made. We were assured it would be under warranty. BUT - it fails Samsungs automated warranty approval application - so the same as the first time, when I called back they tell me it isnt under warranty. They have the sales receipt I sent the first time, which was approved - theyre reading it - but they get stuck because they cant read past the delivery date on top to the bottom where the purchase date is shown. So they tell me its not a valid receipt. They tell me its a delivery receipt (it isnt - just a planned delivery time 7 am-12 pm is shown). Both dates are still in warranty, but in the end they tell me I have to submit the same receipt again. Its Friday. Another 3 or 4 day delay until whoever approves receipts looks at it. Instant rejection, 3 days to reprocess. So earliest, Monday or Tuesday I may get called back and with luck only wait another week until the service guy shows up. My old refrigerator in the garage has been running 19 years without a hiccup. Samsung - exploding washers, defective refrigerators and customer service that would make Comcast proud. Honestly, I wouldnt buy toilet paper from that company.

Our 3 year old Samsung side-by-side with all the bells and whistles stopped cooling, both freezer and refrig side. After dealing with the noise created by freezing up inside freezing and fan hitting the ice, we learned to defrost it for a while then it worked. But now, after turning back on after defrosting a FROST FREE unit, the whole thing stopped working. Called Samsung and was told no warranty left on this appliance. Their repair company would take several days to come out, so I had my own repair person come look at it. They replaced several things, then came to the conclusion it was the compressor. This person even went online and discovered that there was supposed to be a 5 year warranty on the compressor that no one at Samsung told me about. I called back to Samsung to complain that I was technically deceived by not being told about the warranty. They said Too bad my technician had voided that warranty by trying to fix the thing and they would not honor any part of warranty. I am furious! I spoke with the highest department I could get to in Samsung with no success. I even asked for a CEO or someone like that who would listen to my complaint: Nothing. Now In stuck with a 300 pound paperweight~ wonder if it worth putting a new compressor in it since nearly everything else has been replaced? Dont Buy Samsung Appliances!!

We have had this fridge for almost 18 months. We bought it from Best Buy along with a 5-year warranty. When Best Buy delivered it all 3 doors had massive dents in them. They brought new ones within a few days. The ice maker has spewed ice chips no matter what size/shape the glass you use or where you hold it under the dispenser, ice goes all over the floor. The ice maker makes so much noise in the process of making ice that it makes a crashing sound. The right side door doesnt stay open!!! The wonderful techs at Best Buy have been out at least 5 times to repair both, along with sending new parts, etc. and it is just the same as before they tried anything new. This is a defective appliance and NO ON CARES!!! The go through the motions to honor the warranty and now there is nothing they can do. Samsung is even more worthless. How can two large companies be allowed to continually rip people off with products and services that dont work properly? Are there longer morals and truth in business? Who do we have to stand up for all of us collectively? Where is accountability?

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator in 2015. Within that first year I had Samsung repairs visit four times due to ice maker problems. They never fixed the problem. Thank goodness I purchased the extended warranty from Lowes. I had a warranty repair person visit over the same ice maker issues seven times. Each time I had to take four hours off of work to be home for the repair. The icemaker has been replaced along with several other components at least three times. Each time it breaks within weeks and still does not work. Not only does it not produce ice properly, it also leaks water down the front of my stainless steel and now I have permanent stains in my stainless steel refrigerator. Not Appealing! Purchasing this refrigerator has created significant financial loss for me and my family. Not only do I have an ugly refrigerator with water stains down the front of it, I cannot get ice from it, and I have lost several hours equating to several hundred dollars of loss work having to be home each time a repair person needed access to fix it. Purchasing a Samsung refrigerator has been the worst experience and the worst purchasing decision I have ever made.

Samsung SMH2117S microwave - Samsung refused after various escalations to repair the SE- error code that made the OTR microwave go crazy. The fan initially kept turning itself on and off constantly, then would show the error code and die. Unplugging it and plugging it back in would briefly fix the issue, but then it just croaked for good. Just a few months out of warranty (of course), and now, for purely the principle, would join a CA lawsuit against Samsung despite the unlikely odds of that happening. Like most others here, we are adding Samsung (and Sony) to the list of god-awful businesses from which we will NEVER again purchase.

My Samsung fridge quit cooling at 8 months old. I called Samsung for a repair and they fixed it after 3 repair companies coming out. The first two weren’t qualified to repair sealed system units. Finally got the sealed system replaced and it failed 30 days later. I spent countless hours on the phone with Samsung trying to get a refund. After four months with a too warm fridge, and 4-5 hours a week on the phone with Samsung, sending documentation over and over as they continually “lost” documents emailed and faxes, I finally got my refund. After all my haggling, I discovered that tens of thousands have had the same experience with Samsung.

We purchased a Samsung RF197ACBP French Door Refrigerator from Best Buy in August 2013 after considerable research. We bought it because it was one of the rare 19 models that would fit into our cabinet-depth space, and because of what seemed like a good general reputation. Wish wed checked here! The door handles of this black refrigerator have had paint scratching off since the beginning. Best Buy replaced them the first week, but theyve continued to scratch and ding. A week ago, we couldnt open the left vegetable drawer. Discovered it had become stuck in place by a half-inch of solid, clear ice underneath. After eliminating all other possible sources of leakage (and note, we did not install the ice maker, so theres no water being piped to the refrigerator), we discovered a vent hole on the back panel that appears to be dripping small amounts of water. Now weve read how common a problem this is, and of course our fridge is out of warranty, and we are left to deal with it. This is corporate fraud of the most disgusting kind. To think that this expensive, ill-designed piece of junk replaced a 40-year-old Amana that never once failed us makes me despair of American and global business. Well try the self-help options - and maybe a local repair call - but I wont pay a dime for Samsung or Best Buy service.

I bought my Samsung Dishwasher in 2011. When we had owned it only 13 months (only used 7 months as I stored it until kitchen renovation was complete) my Samsung dishwasher DMT800 broke down the first time. Had to wait a week before I could get anyone to work on it. The plastic tabs on the top rack had broken and fallen into the bottom and the washer arm would not spin. Technician ordered new brackets and installed them, cost $200. Same thing happened with new plastic part. I had my husband take the whole thing apart and clear out the brackets the next time. Now the top arm of the dishwasher will not work nor will the detergent dispenser dump the detergent. Loved my old KitchenAid dishwasher. It was still working perfectly when I gave it away to install matching Samsung appliances. Will never buy Samsung again. Hope you see this before you buy Samsung. Beware.

The door clips keep breaking, you can’t get in and out of the freezer part and the MOST frustrating is the ICE MAKER! I have spent no less than 15 hrs trying to fix it. It was out of warranty two weeks and got nothing from Samsung. I am going to share something I have learned: Always ask how much the extended warranty is, if it’s almost half as much as the original cost of the thing you are purchasing STAY AWAY!!! I figured this out after having bought 3 dishwashers and two refrigerators. Case in point current refrigerator (Samsung french door) warranty was $756.00 I paid $1,600.00 for it new and have had nothing but problems. Oven was $350 for warranty new it was $1,700. We have had 0 problems with it. Microhood $35.00 new $350.00 0 problems... I strongly recommend you stay away from Samsung appliances. They make a great TV maybe phone but thats it.

I bought this refrigerator at Best Buy. It was a return/open box, so I was a little concerned going in, but I had no idea what I was in for. For the first 3 weeks, it was great. I loved it. It looks GREAT, especially on the inside with the LED lighting, and the icemaker worked well. Noisy, but they all are. After 3 weeks I noticed water would spurt out the back of the dispenser when I got ice or water, then the next day I noticed my ice cream was soft. The temperature controls still said it was -2, but it obviously wasnt. The next day all the ice was melted. After a runaround at Best Buy, I called Samsung. After a hassle there proving Id just bought the thing, they finally sent someone out to look at it from a local repair shop. The repairman groaned when he saw it and said that most of his calls are for Samsung refrigerators, they break down all the time. He ordered said there was a leak in the coolant line and ordered a dye pack, then came back a couple weeks later to install it, then came back a couple weeks later and looked it over again, ordered another part, then came back and said it was fixed. All was good for 2 weeks, then the freezer went out again. Exact same as it had before. He came back out and said he had to order a couple sensors and a new control board for it. Every visit he made it clear that if we were to just return it and get a different fridge. He wouldnt mind at all that hed ordered the parts for nothing. Hint after hint finally sunk in, and we swapped it out for an LG. When the guys delivered the LG and picked up the Samsung, they laughed at the Samsung and said, Yeah, they have a lot of problems. Especially THAT model. You did right getting the LG. Ive since learned this model has been discontinued, no doubt because of its horrific service record.

We have had our Samsung refrigerator (RF263EAWP) for about 2 years and its already starting with the pooling problem underneath the deli tray as many have reported (e.g. Lisa of Elkton, MD on Oct. 18, 2013). I can see by the other reviews this is just the beginning. As she said I checked (some of) the reviews - although not here. Many said it was a good product. The construction is cheap at best. I am also upset because it does seem that no one knows where this problem is originating. The user manual and online sites were no help. I guess were stuck with - at least - keeping towels in our unit to keep it from flooding. Im glad we did not get the water dispenser; it would have been more headaches!

There has been a class action suit filed against Samsung related to damages
There has been a class action suit filed against Samsung related to damages caused as a result of the poorly designed ice maker in side by side refrigerator/freezers and the resulting leaks. Repairs are now being made for free for some models made within specific dates. Our particular model is a part of the suit but not for the date on which ours was produced. However, the technician who came to make the repair stated that its the most common call he receives. Our ice maker leaks, the line freezes and the ice maker must constantly be reset. The ice maker must be totally replaced. No costs are covered so this is a $700.00 cost to us. This will be the last Samsung product that we purchase.

After we bought it, we had to defrost every 4 months. Ice builds up on behind the refrigerator part. We had to take the cover off and de-ice. It made loud noises, smelled like chemical (like gas) every time you open the door. The tech said to put baking soda in it for 48 hours. Please, Im not stupid. We ordered a new fan motor for it off eBay for $40.00 and a new water filter for $35. Now, we wont need it because we will probably go buy a new one. Samsung is junk. Dont buy one! I couldnt believe all the bad reviews. I wish I had seen this first. The fridge should last 15-20 years. Our other cheapies were better than this $2,000.00 unit!

I try to be a responsible informed consumer before making a pricey purchase. I took the plunge and bought a Samsung refrigerator Model #RS261MDBP 05/2014. The first refrigerator delivered had a golf ball size dint on front right door. Immediately delivery company informed Samsung and the refrigerator was replaced approximately a week later. My grown children were home at time of delivery while I was out of town caring for sick family member. I came home a month afterwards and noticed three dints on right door as if someone placed and replaced their hands there to push refrigerator in place. I also noticed the ice maker wasnt making much ice. I read the troubleshooting section of manual and made adjustments of temperature and rearranged food in freezer. At this time condensation was accumulating in freezer and food in fridge was spoiling. Once again I adjusted temperatures to no avail. I contacted Samsung which a repair company came out and said that model came off assembly with the issues I was having due to some faulty parts. Little over six weeks later the same problems started all over again. Another company came and fixed a totally different problem. Two weeks later ice maker still wasnt producing ice properly, milk spoiled, and condensation started accumulating in freezer again. Samsung was informed of all the issues Ive had since receiving their product. Eventually after many phone calls, emails with proof of purchase and pictures they agreed to a partial reimbursement, deducting 10% per month after 1 year ownership. My very first new refrigerator and it was heartbreaking. I will not buy another Samsung appliance.

Like most of the respondents here, I will never consider the purchase of another Samsung product. Unfortunately in our current age, we are all well aware that companies simply dont have our best interests in mind. Samsung, however, rises to new levels of bureaucratic road blocks to service. More importantly is the fact they not only obscure what has transpired and been discussed previously, but just bold faced lie about they have or have not said.We purchased a large black side-by-side refrigerator in April of 2011. We have had more or less constant problems ever since (as mentioned elsewhere, the ice maker is a nightmare). We finally gave up on ever getting any service from Samsung. They have 2 certified repairmen in Hawaii (many repair services are qualified, but not certified, which means they cant perform warranty service). The demise of the refrigerator and our relationship with Samsung began its culmination last year when we had to pay out of pocket to replace the Motherboard, $400.00. Them 3 weeks ago the freezer stopped working. I got my previous non-certified repairman to check it out. He said the compressor had died. The good news is that its covered under warranty and most manufacturers will just refund some portion of the purchase price. After getting a hold of Samsung, I was told they would get a repair person out in 2 weeks (**). 3 days later, the refrigerator component also ceased working. I called Samsung back and demanded to be connected with the next level of service. This time I was told that they agree the wait was unacceptable and I would be refunded a portion of the purchase price. Oh, and by the way, despite the fact that I had previously been assured that the repair company (an 800 service) would have the necessary parts when they arrived, they had not in fact ordered any parts! In case youre wondering about the refund, they now contend that that option had never been discussed (**).So not only was I told that it would be 2 weeks to get a repair person out, but they would then have to order parts. I live in Hawaii, so its a foregone conclusion that the wait for those parts will be inordinate. After stewing about this for several days, I again contacted Samsung and this time I was informed that I had been informed that the repairs would not be covered by Samsung because it was out of warranty. I emphatically stated that no such thing had ever been discussed! The compressor is covered for 5 years. They eventually agreed that the compressor was still covered, then they hemmed and hawed, but in the end I was left without a working refrigerator and a many month repair process, if at all. Bottom line folks, avoid all Samsung products like the plague. I wish I had read these comments before I considered my purchase!

We purchased the WaterWall dishwasher, three rack on March 22/2016. But we did not have it delivered until mid May because we didn’t move into our house until then. We actually paid 999.00 for it. Up until 6 weeks ago we had no problems with it. We are a retired couple with no children in our home. I would load and use the dishwasher about every 2-3 days. Being only two of us, it wasn’t over worked at all. The Famous 7 E code came to our attention. Not knowing a whole lot about the dishwasher I contacted Samsung and basically got told, I had no warranty. To make matters worse I live 3.5 hours from a appliance repair company. Knowing we could not afford a call out fee for someone to travel to and from our home never mind the cost of the repair, we decided after reading so many complaints about this model we would buy a different brand. It would be cheaper in the long run. My only concern is that if youre going to buy a major appliance. Do your homework and look it up on the reviews. I wish I had done mine and I definitely wouldn’t have bought this machine.

I purchased your Samsung refrigerator model no: RSG257AARS/XAA, back in Dec
I purchased your Samsung refrigerator model no: RSG257AARS/XAA, back in Dec. 2013 when I bought my first home. While I am not customarily someone who uses ice in my drinks, there are certain beverages wherein I do use ice, such as with a soda or a cocktail. But for water and or juices, I do not require ice and as I rarely drink a soda or have a cocktail, I cant say the ice maker on my unit has had much use considering I am a one person household. This little to no use of the ice maker is potentially why this problem with the ice maker/dispenser did not appear until July 2014. I first noticed this problem when I discovered a large white shaving of plastic floating in a glass of Coca Cola. It was the size of a coconut shaving and so I removed this remnant and secured it into a plastic zip lock bag. Obviously, I disposed of the drink.I then examined the ice maker machine and mechanism, removed the ice bucket etc. and discovered there were dozens upon dozens of plastic shavings sitting in the cavity of freezer below the ice bucket. Upon further examination I discovered areas on the left and right sides of the plastic housing wherein it was obvious the rotary blades (auger couplers) had literally shredded into the plastic housing and it was quite clear from the magnitude of the scratches, shavings and debris that this was a serious problem.I first received service to repair this problem in July 2014. However, the repair took nearly 4 weeks to conclude, two home visits, shipment of parts, and I had no ice available to me in that time. Moreover, I greatly needed ice to medically treat an injury. Thus, the repair was more than an inconvenience. While the repair included some new parts and a new ice bucket, after the repair, I was hesitant and nervous to use the ice cubes for drinking and would look in each glass of ice. Then just a few days ago (20 Oct 2014), I found a SHARP solid chunk of white plastic floating in my Coca Cola. Again, I removed it and secure it in a zip lock bag for evidence. Upon examination of the unit, I now find that the plastic housing under the ice bucket is again being impacted and hit, only this time the scratches and scrapings are now at the front of the housing rather than on the sides. To make matters worse, on the evening of Oct 21st, I observed small white tiny powder like particles, sitting on the outside stainless steel dispenser tray, which indicates I have been ingesting and drinking micro particles of plastic. I have obtained a small sample of this particle by pressing my finger down onto it and then scraping this fine particle off my finger into a zip lock bag, but it is so small and fine that one could literally not pick it up any other way. It would be like trying to collect a single grain or flake of salt.As of late, I have been enjoying one soda a day, in place of eating a desert, and have been having more iced drinks than usual. Again, this draws me to the conclusion that if only this ice maker and dispenser had had normal American household use, this problem would have most likely occurred immediately. At this stage, my main concern is my HEALTH and how my body has been affected by ingesting micro fine particles of plastic used to make an appliance. To be honest, I am more than upset by the gravity of the situation and I find your customer service to be sub-par. In my opinion, this unit is DEFECTIVE IN DESIGN. Any refrigerator that starts dispensing plastic for a HUMAN TO EAT AND INGEST SHOULD BE DEALT WITH IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER, and does not even fall within the scope of an ordinary repair.I can no longer trust this appliance to provide me ice! In addition, I will never again use it for drinking ice. NO WAY! NEVER! No matter how you repair it or pretend you did, it is obvious that the METAL BLADES are able to make contact with all edges of the plastic housing and therefore will ALWAYS HAVE THE POTENTIAL to feed me plastic.Next time I see my doctor I will consult with him on this matter. In the meantime, feel free to send me the chemical composition with which this plastic material is made of and I will give that to my doctor. Alternatively, we can send samples to a lab and then I will bill and or sue Samsung. I am outraged at this situation! Period! The fact that you are again going to send me a service repairperson who has NO experience with this SPECIFIC problem is ridiculous. Moreover, two Samsung service repair technicians told me they had never heard of this problem. So all you are doing is putting a Band-Aid on this situation, waiting for the manufacturer warranty to run out so that you will not have to contend with it. So yes, I am outraged. I will never again buy Samsung. In closing, I am attaching photos from last July showing evidence of the plastic shavings and impact to the housing. The current plastic particles are to small to photograph and while this is the same problem, the particles in fact are completely different now in shape and size. In fact the smaller particles and this current situation is way worse because I cannot VISIBLY see the micro-particles in a drink, making this a blatant health hazard. Please review the photos carefully! I would like this case to be escalated and dealt with by your upper management.

Will never purchase another Samsung anything. Purchased 28 cu ft refrigerator year and half ago. Problems w/ the ice maker from the day I purchased. Same as other customers - ice maker noisy and would freeze up. You call Samsung and they walk you through everything you have already done and then refer you to another number that will get back to you. When they do they leave a message to call back to the original number. Called again and was told Id be referred to an authorized repair dealer. Then notified 3 days later that there was none in my area. I did some searching and found one who stated they were. They came out the next day and found the problem (definitely Warranty) but fridge was over year old. I had been dealing with this problem since I purchased it and was told noise was normal. Took about 39 min for technician to discover the ice maker was assembled incorrectly from the factory. He reassembled it and put it back in and the ice maker has been working well (its terribly slow) for 4 days now. No knocking and loud noises. Interesting that he figured it out and Samsung didnt have a clue. Apparently they have been installed in the factory incorrectly. Ill gladly join a class action suit against them! Samsung doesnt seem to care about the consumer at all. Samsung Blue Ray DVD player just quit after approximately a year. Had been a gift from our daughter. I love the fridge when it works but am very worried reading other complaints. Ice maker was terrible until technician from Back Canyon City (small town north Phoenix) came to the rescue. Thank you Jeremy of Accredited Appliance.

When you spend over $3,000.00 on a top of the line refrigerator, you have certain expectations. We bought a Samsung French Door Refrigerator about a year ago. Model RF31FMESBBSR/AA. Do not waste your money on this refrigerator. I spent two days searching and comparing. I wish I had instead spent 2 minutes on this site. Ice Master is what they call the ice maker. It is a piece of crap. Small cubes that dispense out painfully slow. After about 6 months, the ice compartment started getting cracks in it. Now, ice maker freezes and stops working about every other week. I have to melt the ice with a hair dryer to get it going again. Also - door bins started breaking after 3 months. All but one are now broken. They tried to make these pretty, instead of functional. 3 pieces - plexiglass, plastic, and a metal band that holds the plexiglass in place. Once the cheap/thin plexi cracks and breaks, the band falls off. Warranty procedure is an absolute joke. Stay away from Samsung. It looks way better than it works.

Model # RF260BEAESR/AA -- do not buy this product...ever! Left French door assembly/gasket has broken and literally fell off twice. As it is a little over 2 years old, it is no longer under warranty, therefore Lowes has offered me nothing but rudeness and ridiculous hold times. The end result is that Samsung had to be called directly. After repeated phone calls and hours of my life that I can no longer get back, its going to cost me ANOTHER 300.00 to replace the same part. Samsungs customer support is deplorable. They have essentially offered me nothing. After the tech completes this repair my total repair/loss cost will be almost 1,000.00, and I will still have the same horrible appliance that will undoubtedly need the same repair months from now. Samsung has refused to even pay for the diagnostic tech appointment (another 90.00 to tell me what I already know) or parts, or labor. Apparently when you buy a Samsung appliance you are entirely responsible for obvious factory defects and they will assist with nothing...ever. In speaking with a few Samsung-certified technicians, they have informed me that not only do most customers have this disappointing experience but their own technicians cannot get the support they need to provide the necessary service!!! Samsung customer service # is 1-800-726-7864. I plan on calling them all day, everyday, until I die. You should too!!! We cannot keep accepting lousy products and service!

We bought our Samsung microwave model SMH8165W on Feb 23, 2011. I know this b/c I actually registered online w/ Samsung to get the extended 1 year + 3 month warranty. They have engineered their microwave to be built to last barely above a year. Let me say, it is beautifully designed and at an inexpensive price point. It was the best deal at the time. It had features that we NEVER used - like, any of the snack features. My husband still loves it.... BUT... within a year, one of the LED legs blew out in the first number. We ignored that. It wasnt big enough to bother, you could still read the number. Id already misplaced any paperwork. Now, on Feb 18, 2014 - almost 3 years to the day that we purchased our Samsung we have another interesting error. Our under microwave light that goes from On, to Night light, to Off.. it always stays ON. One of the lights blew out so we changed it thinking that maybe that was the problem. Nope, both bulbs now burn brightly. We are out of warranty. We wont be buying Samsung again. We actually need a light on at night to cook, being in a dark kitchen. So in the meantime Im buying a set of 3 stick on LED lights for $6 on Amazon. One LED light will last 1000 hours. Lets see if it outlasts the Samsung.

The refrigerator crispers have water in them after a defrost cycle. I was told by the factory that it is just out of warranty. I researched the same problem other people had so I could try to fix the problem. I removed the back cover and installed a short wire into the drain and wrapped it around the defrost heater because the drain line is icing up but a month or so later the same problem is happening again. Our 2-yr old RF197 has failed 4 times. At the first failure, at the one year point of ownership (the minute the warranty expired) and after a lot of time spent badgering Samsung, they agreed to pay for fixing the ice-backing up on the interior back, and stopping the water collecting on the fridge floor. But the repair didnt work. Again back to badgering Samsung - a terrible, terrible company. I hear there is a class action lawsuit; we plan to get in on that now. Also our atty. is pressing Samsung corporate starting today. Outrageous, because it has broken again! We paid $1300 for this junk in 2011! Recently, we arranged with them to receive a prorated refund to discard/return to them this lemon. They agreed. Yesterday, a new, very rude, sweet-voiced stumbling employee in the exec office, reading off a sheet that had nothing to do with this case said, Not approved even though we have sent the receipt properly and were told (and it is recorded on our ans. machine) that they were in the process of arranging the refund. Avoid this company! We plan - and please all of you do the same - to report to BBB and to our state Attorney General Dept of Consumer Affairs. This could be rampant fraud by Samsung and needs to be investigated. Tell everyone you know, to exert widespread political pressure. When in the store, tell others looking to buy to avoid Samsung. Check your state: many states require a better warranty than that granted by Samsungs warranty and you may have more rights than that limited Samsung warranty. Best of luck to everyone. What a racket. Our previous 2 refrigerators lasted 25 years with not one repair! We will post what we find out.

We purchased our Samsung dishwasher in late 2014. It needed repair within three months when water was not pumping out of the bottom of the unit. The repairman said that it was a common problem... so common that he usually had several of the replacement parts on his truck. This time he didnt so it took two trips so there was a total of almost two weeks without the machine. Since then the dishwasher has been very noisy and I should probably call the repairman again but I figure something else will go wrong sooner or later. We did purchase a Lowes extended warranty. I find that the machine is hard to load. Perhaps I should have taken one of my plates to the store to try it out. It cleans ok... not remarkable but no major complaints especially if I wash things well before I put them in. I am sorry that I bought this item.

I bought a Samsung microwave (next to top of the line) and within a year it would not heat. The store I bought it at graciously replaced it. I added money to it and purchased the top of the line one - again a Samsung. In January the door bracket broke and my husband and I spent a day finding the right bracket on the internet. It was a $10 part and after finding schematics on the internet on how to replace it he was able to replace it. Otherwise it would have been at least a $125 repair call. It will be 2 years in July since we purchased this top of the line Samsung microwave and this one is not working. I detected a burning wire smell this morning in my kitchen and could not figure out where it was coming from till I opened my microwave to heat my tea and the light did not come on and the control panel was not lit. Thats when I realized that the burning wire smell was coming from the microwave. Really? Two Samsung microwaves within 3 years. I have sent Samsung an email asking for some kind of financial reimbursement to purchase another microwave because I will never purchase another Samsung microwave. I doubt that a reimbursement is going to happen. But I will keep all of you in the loop.

After approximately 2 years, I got an SE code on the LED read out and the unit stopped working. Nothing worked on the unit including the light; all buttons were dead. After contacting Samsung @ 1-800-726-7864 they informed me that there had been some problems with the Control Pad and that they would replace the control pad at no charge. Sounds good? What’s the problem? After four days, I was informed by Samsung that they have no authorized Samsung techs in my area and they couldnt send the replacement part to anyone other than a Samsung authorized tech (catch 22). Samsung has offered a pro-rated refund. This is not good! I have new custom-made cabinets, external venting and a tile splash up underneath the microwave. Another model from another manufacturer is not going to line up with the existing conditions. The consumer is left holding the bag! The washer is appealing looks-wise. It has the extra door in front to add clothing to a load. Its rare youre able to use it b/c washer makes it IMPOSSIBLE so its worthless. Loads take an enormous amount of time to wash. /For example: 1 normal load using hot water takes up to 2.5 hours depending on your settings. Steam setting takes 3-4 hours per load. Theres a quick wash setting that takes 25-35 minutes but it literally washes them for about 2 minutes and it just splashes it with water and tosses it from side to side so it rarely gets clean or smells clean. Laundry takes a ridiculous amount of time. This is no joke. Towels setting can not be set to hot. Theres no ability to customize loads how you want. If you want super hot water you cant use the towel setting. No ability to wash on normal hot for less than 1hr. & 44 minutes. You cannot customize your loads how you want. You have to go with what the machine thinks it knows. Its pre-programmed and customization is not possible. Worst part of this machine is that the laundry does NOT GET CLEAN. The fabric is never submerged in water so it is not appropriate for items like a urine soaked blanket. The urine will not be washed out completely. I would say its less effective than hand washing is. Capacity (load size). Dont let that big drum size fool you. You put lots of laundry in it some will come out not having even gotten wet. Youre working with a 3 deep puddle at the bottom of the drum that is sloshed around splashing the clothes. It breaks down frequently. Ive had my machine less than a year and it has broke down 3 times so far. It does not use sufficient amounts of water. It does not submerge laundry in water. Instead, it sloshes laundry back and forth in a small puddle of a few gallon water. This is equivalent to spot cleaning. The fabric is never submerged in water. It only gets splashed. You cant use hardly any fabric softener. Unless you want to wait for the rinse cycle and put it in then. If you try to add at beginning of cycle you can only put a few tablespoons in if that. If you use more, it will dump into the wash cycle instead. How I deal with it: My boyfriend hacked it so it fills with more water. BUT...it still is not enough to clean so he set up a hose right at the washer site. So in every single load I turn the hose on for around 10 minutes until the clothes are submerged. If you do this prior to turning it on the washer will drain it on you so you have to start the load then add water into the soap dispenser. You cant even use the extra door, its useless. So the hose gets placed in the door of the soap dispenser. So far no issues but its still a pain in the ** but its better than using buckets of water like I did at first. All these complaints for a $1400 machine. Youre better off with a top loader. I think Samsung ought to stick with making their plastic phones or revert back to making clock radios. Leave laundry to the experts like Maytag. I dont want to hear Im using too much soap or too much water, that is untrue. Ive tried their recommendations and got the same poor results.

My Samsung dishwasher broke after 6 months. Soap was still in the dispenser after the cycle was finished. They fixed it and it broke 2 months later and Samsung gave me the run around for a month. I could not get anyone out here to fix it. I called Home Depot, where I bought it from and they finally sent someone out. They came 3 times and changed several parts. The machine was still broken. We have had food poisoning and are sick with colds constantly from the mold smell in there. Samsung offered to buy it back and they have taken 2 months so far to get this together. I have had this moldy, dishwasher in my kitchen and they keep giving me the run around. Terrible customer service. Games played with me and people even hanging up on me when I have called them. I wish there was something more I could do. I wish someone could call for me and fix this. Samsung is making me keep this dishwasher until they are done with the paperwork and say that the refund is complete. They said if I get rid of the dishwasher that they would not give us our money back. I do not know what else to do. Maybe call a lawyer and sue them. Why are they holding me hostage. I need that refund to buy a new one. I the meantime, I am washing 3 loads of dishes by hand a day, while being sick from this junk dishwasher. How can they do this.

We bought a bottom-freezer fridge in June. It worked fine at first (although we were on vacation for 3 weeks in July and August). In August, water appeared on our floor, and was traced to a slow drip from the water dispenser. Samsung sent the problem to a local service shop, who told us to run 2-3 gallons through the dispenser to purge air from the lines. This had been done by installer; we did it and the drip persisted. The tech came to our house and reduced the water pressure. Drip persisted. NOW Samsung tells us that future service calls are our responsibility, for a new unit still on warranty!!

So we purchased our Samsung oven in Dec. of 2016 and did not have it delivered due to construction until May 31st 2017 and not installed until June, (was told by Best Buy salesman that warranty did not start until the delivery date, which was a lie) so two days ago when going to cook something for lunch the oven would not heat. Nothing. Nada!!! It hasnt been hooked up a year yet. Called Samsung and no help. Nothing. We are stuck having to pay to have it repaired or try to do it ourselves. Bought over 2000 dollars worth of Samsung appliances that day and no help from Best Buy or Samsung whatsoever. So mad!!! How can a stove go out that fast? Its not even used daily. Never again and I will tell everyone I know not to buy Samsung appliances. Just waiting for the Fridge to go next!!!

I bought a Samsung French door fridge and it is the worst ever. The fridge warms up and is full of ice. We clean the ice and it happened again. Now it makes a loud noise and when we open the doors the noise stops. The freezer becomes full of ice and stops to work as well. I have been dealing with Samsung and the technicians. It is the worst experience ever. It has been over 2 months that I am without a fridge and they are delaying and not replacing my fridge. The technician came a few times and the fridge is still not fixed. I am very tired of dealing with Samsung company. The product is rubbish and the service is not there. I wish I never bought the Samsung fridge.

Ice maker & water dispenser have caused unspeakable frustration: We paid a premium for matching upper end appliances including the Samsung refrigerator which has caused my wife and I unspeakable frustration from the first year we purchased it. We love ice tea with ice and thought we bought a high end refrigerator that would allow us to have ice for our ice tea at the touch of a button. But that has certainly NOT been the case! The ice maker does not produce ice due to internal parts freezing up. This problem started within the first year we purchased it and after $100s in repair costs and uncountable hours spend thawing efforts, the same thing keeps happening over and over no matter how dry I get it. Besides freezing up, the motor has always made a loud noise which my wife cant stand and our guests ask what is that noise? Additionally, I had to spend $200 on a countertop ice maker because our $3,000 Samsung ice maker does not work. I hate to sell it to anyone else so we are stuck with it and dont know what to do with the piece of junk! Since Samsung knows that they sold me a design flawed product, I think they should replace my refrigerator ASAP.

Approx. 4 yrs ago purchased a Samsung French door fridge. Recently the mullion bar became inoperable. After reviewing possible remedies IT became obvious that a new mullion bar had to be purchased. After purchase was made at a cost of $117.74 I tore the replaced bar apart and discovered the culprit to be a spring in the lower part of the bar. This spring could be made for no more than 50 cents at any reasonably priced manufacturer. I assume that the bar is also made by the Samsung corporation so it would be to their financial benefit to develop this spring as cheaply made as it is, so that additional financial gain could be made by their sale of this bar. My advice to any, who are considering purchasing this refrigerator is BUYER BEWARE.

I had my Ice Maker broken on a fairly new refrigerator. In order to fix that I have been asked to defrost the entire unit by emptying it and leaving it unplugged for 24 hours. Imagine what happens to all the food especially the frozen items. I have a lot of meat in the freezer. Techs told me there is no other option which blows my mind.

Unbelievable that junky! It was just little less than 3 years, I thought I pay what I should deserve, so I bought a top of the line Samsung refrigerator, it cost me almost $4,000. In lately it has a lot of problems, 1) first the bottom freezer fan broke down. 2) Yesterday the ICE maker and the defroster broke down. Two times repair, parts and labour total cost $1,100. My experience with this Samsung 3 door fridge has been very disappointing. I have never spent over 2000.00 on a fridge for it to cost more than 1000.00 in repairs only 2 years later. It constantly freezes up, ice cube maker doesnt work, the freezer door handle snapped the middle where doors close broke off. I need a new fridge after 2 years and spending over 3000.00.

At what point does a company read these and take action? Purchased Family Hub French Door 2.5 months ago. Freezer failed, lost everything, missed 4 half days of work dealing with 3rd party service companies who didnt know what was wrong or how to fix it. 14 calls with Samsung service department. 12 emails, in the meantime ice machine failed and now the upper fridge area failing. At $2,499 youd think they would care/value the experience and take action, but were on day 38 and still waiting for a remedy. I stood at Home Depot and personally persuaded 7 customers not to buy this fridge and they listened. Your ** product and service cost me lost wages and time during failed service calls so I figured Im only halfway to the break even point of costing you fridge sales. And I realize nobody in your service department gets paid enough to care, but hopefully someone in your product management and marketing team care enough to read reviews.

I purchased this range/oven about 4 months ago. I’ve had several smooth top ranges before and I could always get marks and food off with ceramic stovetop cleaner….But not with this one! I purchased new cookware to start with a clean slate and I’m so careful with the stovetop. I’m really frustrated with trying to keep it “new” like all my previous ones. There are marks all over it and dull places where I cleaned with a scratch proof pad and ceramic stove top cleaner. The mirrored black shows every smear and smudge. I literally have to buff it with a clean towel every time. That being said, one reason I purchased this stove is for the low temp presets on the oven. I make bread and it’s hard to find an oven that will go below 170°. I’ve enjoyed this feature very much. The air fry feature, not so much. It has to be set above 450° to get good results and it takes way too long vs a countertop air fryer. Overall, the range/oven operates fine. I just wish the smooth top was a little better quality and more resistant to marks, residue and smears. None of my previous smooth tops had this issue.

We bought our entire appliance set through Trail appliances. Nothing wrong
We bought our entire appliance set through Trail appliances. Nothing wrong with the excellent service we received at time of sale. Installed the units in our new kitchen. At 11 months the dishwasher dumped large amounts of water on the floor during wash cycle. Finally got a technician to come and look at it. Samsungs support for him over the phone was pathetic. Between him and I we finally figured out the problem lies in a poorly designed tub vapor venting system. I have to regularly remove this silly valve and clean it. Just poor design. Now that the unit is 4 years old the drying fan motor vibrates. I removed it from the machine and tested it on the bench. It is not noisy outside of the machine but whines loudly when reinstalled. Fortunately I am a mechanic by trade and disassembling this machine is not a challenge for me. I sympathize with the consumer who has to wait long periods to get an overpriced repairman to come to the house. Further my wife has complained from day one about the poor cleaning ability of this machine. We will replace it eventually. It will NOT be Samsung.

We purchased a new model french door RF263TEASESR Samsung refrigerator 4 years ago. Recently the bottom ice maker in the pull-out freezer stopped making ice. The top ice maker still works but continues to ice up on the outside and will not defrost. I contacted a local tech for repairs and once he heard Samsung - he refused to visit for repairs. Mentioned lack of parts, difficulty of design for making repairs, lack of technical help from call center, etc. I went to Lowes, where we purchased for a recommendation and was told that they had no suggestions for help. Local techs had actually called them and told them not to send these repairs to them. I asked if they still sold Samsung products and he said YES. Unbelievable! My only recourse was to try to contact a Samsung regional repair center which I assume Ill have to do as no local service is available.

Dishwasher DW80F600 Series Serial # B00AG9MF106456D - We purchased this dishwasher 13 months ago for $800 at Lowes. It stopped draining the water last August, so we had it repaired under warranty. The technician they sent out installed all new parts on the machine. It worked well until last night when the problem reoccurred. When I pulled the machine out to find the serial number, I noticed that the frame was badly cracked on both sides. The cracks emanated from holes that were drilled in the bottom front of the frame. Having studied metallurgy, this is called stress crack corrosion, and is normally caused by a vibration. I called technical support and they told us that since the machine was one month out of warranty that they could send out a technician to repair it for $309.00 (including tax), and that they would also extend the warranty for another year at this price. After reading the reviews on this series, we opted to discard it and purchase a model that was not a Samsung.

We too should have done better homework before purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. We purchased this model after a kitchen remodel project almost 4 years ago; what a mistake. It has been a nightmare owning this refrigerator. We have gone through 3 technicians from the same repair company and am currently writing this review waiting for the 4th tech. to show. Every tech. so far has confirmed the same problem each time; icing up around the fan blade area causing terrible loud noises until the fan seizes up and stops; causing the fridge section to not cool anymore. We have given up with the ice maker not working sometimes and just use bagged ice now. Like others seem to be facing; Samsung seems to refuse there could be an engineering problem with their product. We are planning on looking for a new (non Samsung) product after this 4th technician de-ices the fridge again. Samsung has not just yet figured out how to make a long lasting cooling unit; or maybe they dont want to?

We have also been given the run around from Samsung about what seems to be a faulty product - their waterfall dishwasher. What a horrible company, I cannot believe they can stay in business. Our dishwasher is just two years old and quit working. After talking to several customer service agents on the phone, through email, and online, it is still not fixed. We had a local repairman come to look at it, he said it costs more to fix it than what it is worth at this point. There are only two certified Samsung repair businesses in Indiana. The one in Fort Wayne told us they would not come and look at it due to the constant issues with Samsung. We have another one finally coming Monday - we hope (after 7 days of dealing with them to the point my husband was screaming at the customer service rep that was in India because they were asking completely irrelevant questions). If you are looking for new appliances, please do not purchase this brand. We had issues with our refrigerator also. They are poorly made, and Samsung has to have the worst customer service of any company on earth.

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator in 2012. It has an external ice and water, along with the bottom freezer and a drawer that has various options. Since 2014, we have had significant problems with the ice maker. The repair person has been here 5-6 times attempting to fix what he calls a manufacturing and engineering defect. Apparently he has seen this problem multiple times. It doesnt make ice, then it makes ice but it all melts and refreezes in a solid block. It continued this cycle over and over until it burned out its fan. Multiple calls to Samsung have gotten me nowhere except that I have now spent nearly $1000 trying to fix a $2500 appliance that is still brand new.

When I opened the front of the unit to access the inside of the control panel, I found that the hot wire connector was melted. I must have been very close to a fire! I replaced the connector and dried the wires to correct the 5E error. The 5E error reappeared again after a few months. I again dried the wires. To keep the story short, the 5E error appeared more and more frequently, until finally it was happening weekly. The unit is now waiting for the junk man to collect it.

SMH1816B - This oven was my Christmas gift purchased December 2012 from Best Buy. Our mistake was buying it too soon before kitchen was ready for installation. So now its out of warranty. Because of the semi-remodeling, it didnt get installed until March 2014. Worked great for 4 months. My husband even went beyond the call to make sure the extra venting to the outside was installed. The auto turn on for that vent never worked so I just manually turned it on as needed. Then 3 days ago, our daughter opened the door to reheat some nachos and the screen was dead. Troubleshooted everything: the outlet, the dedicated power line in the fuse box, etc. 24 hours later, the formerly dead screen mysteriously lit back up and instructed us to set the clock! So we did. It worked for a day. Then my husband opened the door to reheat a cup of coffee and closed the door and discovered BLACK SCREEN again! We went through all the troubleshooting again, unplug, re-plug, etc. to no avail. I called then filled out the form on Samsungs help site and was instructed to call 1800 SAMSUNG, which I did. They said it was out of warranty and if I wanted to get it fixed, I would have to pay. I called a local certified Samsung repair service and they said it could be loose wires that get moved when opening and closing the door and it would cost $120.00 to re-seat the wires. This is totally unacceptable that an appliance would be allowed to be manufactured so poorly that the wires could unseat themselves just by opening and closing the door, an action that is REQUIRED in order to use it! The model needs a recall asap!

Didnt even get 3 years out of my Samsung model DW80J3020 dishwasher that I purchased in 2016 as part of a 4 piece Samsung appliances pkg from Lowes. Ive had Samsung TVs before and really hadnt had any issues. However their supposed convection stove takes 30% longer to cook than a traditional oven, the refrigerator makes popping noises at night loud enough to wake us up, the microwave makes a thumping noise while the interior dish is rotating, and now the dishwasher has no function whatsoever--no lights, nada. I went online to research and couldnt believe the number of posts relating to the same thing. This is it for me and Samsung appliances. About 3 years ago, our 15 year old GE over the stove microwave was working but seemed slow and dated. We replaced it with a Samsung SMH9187ST that had gotten good reviews. About 6 months into its use, there was a shorting sound and smoke when I pressed the start button. A new control board, fuses, and a couple other parts were replaced under warranty. And since then, we havent had any problems - until two days ago when the keypad stopped functioning. We tried unplugging and plugging in again, but that only worked once and only for about 5 minutes. Then the SE error message came up. I filled out the online service form on Samsungs site and have been sent information about a service company in Florida (I live in Ohio) and instructions on how to send the item back. Really? It looks like about 15 people have posted this same SE problem in the last month, almost everyone out of warranty. So perhaps this is planned obsolescence combined with bad service. It only guarantees that I wont buy another Samsung appliance, though.

The first one said our manufacturer warranty was expired in March 2015, but we bought the fridge in August. Second service guy came over; very pleasant guy; changed the defrost panel. It seems that we are not the only ones to experience water/ice machine problems. Our fridge is under two years old. It has always leaked out of the water dispenser and down the side door after dispensing ice. The water coming out is never cold. Last night I used the water dispenser and it got stuck on dispense. I tried to stop it by pulling/pushing the lever, but it continued to spill all over the floor. We had to quickly shut off the water behind it. It continues to leak and Samsung says this is not covered. Ridiculous. $2600 fridge breaks in less than two years and it is not under warranty??? Worst fridge ever! Absolutely the biggest piece of junk Ive ever owned and I made the mistake of buying a refrigerator from them twice. First refrigerator had issues with the ice maker the first year. Got that resolved.... maybe? We moved out of that house so who knows what the new owners had to deal with after we left. Bought another Samsung for the new house. Biggest mistake ever. Again, ice maker down in the first year. Had their awful Service Quick service out twice to get that fixed. Then the entire refrigerator dies a year later. Condenser just gives out. Its still under warranty so they try to fix it and fail miserably. Tech burns a whole in my floor while using a blow torch. That nonsense of trying to fix it went on for two weeks. Now they are supposed to fix the floor and bring out a new refrigerator. We are six weeks into this mess and still no refrigerator. Ive been lied to repeatedly about the process and how long it will take. Theyve put information in wrong, further delaying the process. Its completely ridiculous and they never do anything to expedite the service and make it right. Pandemic has been used an excuse multiple times which is total BS since they are essential and never closed and neither has the trucking company. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE.

Take out the top control module screw and gently remove, watching out for the tabs on the bottom. 3. There are 6 wiring connections that pull away very easily. Mark them if you need to.4. Put everything back and youre done. Working great! So far. This was way easier than I thought. Also, I contacted Consumer Reports and they provided info for filing formal complaints with various agencies. But they must be listening because Samsung is no longer in their OTR recommended list.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in August of 2013, Model #RF31FMEDBSR/AA. It worked fine for a couple of years, then in March of this year the freezer part stopped freezing. A Sears tech came out on March 31st, ordered a compressor, evaporator and dryer, came following week and replaced. Took freezer 3 days to start freezing properly, worked a few days and started having the same problem. Called tech service back, came out on April 22 did a recover/recharge. Worked a couple of weeks, same problem again. On May 16 came out again repeated the recover/recharge procedure. Within the next two weeks had to call again with same problem. Tech came out on May 31 replaced Thermo BIM part, worked for about a month. Now same problem with freezer and temps in the refrigerator part of unit is also failing. All Samsung wants to do is send me a certified Samsung tech and charge me a bill... The last Sears Tech has worked on refrigerators for 30 years. I have been a fan of Samsung for many years and love the televisions they make. I have three of them. I thought I would get the same quality product in their dishwasher. I purchased the DMT-800RHS. This product, simply put is a lemon. The unit has a water fill sensor, that when it gets a little dirty it produced a 9E fault code. This code will come up every couple of months. Same problem with new parts. Its like having a car that when the engine air filter gets dirty it generates a code and renders the car inoperative. This product is the biggest waste of money at $799. Samsung tech service is heartless and do not really care, only to offer to come and clean the part every couple of months for $150 plus tax. If any water falls into the machine while replacing the water fill sensor you get a LE fault code. This is a leak detection fault. Now you must bring the machine outside, turn it upside down, remove some screws (special screws) which are of a torx type and dry the internal parts. It must air dry over night. Simply put this unit is the biggest lemon and Samsung will not acknowledge it. They simply do not care. I will never buy another Samsung product ever again.

Samsung Microwave: Had two service calls, one under warranty in less than two years. Third time it went out I decided it wasnt worth $100 service call plus parts. The digital panel works were defective. So bought another GE the brand I previously had for 11 years before buying the Samsung refrigerator. Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator: Began rusting after 1 1/2 years around the bottom edges of the water dispenser section. Had kept it dry each time it was used. Called and was told too bad, out of warranty. Wouldnt do anything and wouldnt give me any suggestions as how to get it repaired. Lowes where I purchased it wasnt any help either. Thought maybe it was leaking from the inside door where the ice cube apparatus was placed. Still rusting. Only thing Im told to do is put appliance touch-up paint over the three spots after sanding. That has never really looked very nice when using that approach on anything in the past. Will never buy a microwave or refrigerator from Samsung again. They should stick to cell phones and TVs. My previous refrigerator was also a GE which never rusted in the 10 years I owned it. Au revoir Samsung appliances. Shame on them. Terrible customer service and construction. Very disappointed.

We paid a small fortune for a french-door dual drawer refrigerator less than 5 years ago. The icemaker went out in less than 3 years! The thermostat went out in less than 4 years! The sealed system went out in less than 5 years! The fan went out in less than 5 years! The covers need replacing less than 5 years! We have had technician after technician try to fix this thing to no avail! We called Samsung and got nothing! Three people from Samsung told us, You should be happy that you got almost 5 years out of it. Are you kidding me?! In case you havent noticed, Im pissed! Our old Kenmore lasted over 20 years!

Model FER300SX. I bought this 4 years ago. First the front glass is edge to edge and we barely tapped it with a small pot and it shattered so bad I had to remove it all together. The glass top is nearly impossible to keep clean and the oven never quite cooked evenly. Now, at 350 degrees, thermometer reads 175-200 after 40 minutes. Bad mistake this was. Wont buy another appliance with Samsung on it.

PLEASE READ. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator model number RF197ACRS in December 2012. It took not much more than a year and a half before I started having issues with leaking and frost build up as described by many other Samsung Refrigerator owners. Samsung support is a joke - belligerent agent who refuse to identify themselves with a company ID#. Refuse you to speak with management or any other company officials. These issues we are having are not typical repairs. They are design flaws and Samsung should take responsibility for them.I have a refrigerator. I paid nearly 2000 dollars for and a year and a half later is virtually useless to me unless I spend countless dollars keeping it running. There are no Lemon Laws in Canada to protect consumers for faulty appliances. If there is a class action against Samsung please inform me. If there is not and you are willing to start one I will start one. Guidelines prevent me from posting email or phone. Please find me.

When we moved we put in all new appliances... The dishwasher has had repair out twice... French door refrigerator once along with the washing machine that doesn’t drain properly, and as a consequence, smells bad and has to constantly be drained from the bottom making a terrible mess because of the way the drainage is set up. Right now my dishwasher is again having a problem and keeps turning itself off. I can find no leak. I will have to spend another $150 for repair to come out again. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance. They should stick to smartphones. In 53 years of marriage, never had a problem with a KitchenAid or Bosch... Should have stuck with what I know.

I am a fan of their tvs so thinking 7 years ago I would buy this Samsung 3 door refrigerator. Well my story is the same with ice maker not working and then it freezing up on the evaporator fan except I went a little longer than some of the other reviews. Very disappointed with Samsung and their appliances. I made a big mistake and bought a washing machine and had the repair man out for that within the first year. I hope people will read and learn from my mistakes. Dont buy Samsung appliances. Buyer beware.

Im not very happy with my purchase. I bought this fridge one week ago on Sunday & the last 2 nights it leaked water all over the floor & made a mess. I dont feel as if it gets cold enough inside either. Drinks are not cold enough. Im beginning to think I made a HUGE mistake by purchasing a Samsung fridge from Lowes.
