Have a Samsung stainless steel side by side bought at Best Buy in August 2012. Refrigerator side not cooling down but freezer working fine. Compressor is hot and fan is working. Called Samsung and was told I had to pay for repair call and would not be reimbursed even if issue was under warranty. So, Im out $100 and no refrigerator for near 2 weeks. BUY WHIRLPOOL If you want customer service in America and a warranty that covers service call to replace warranty parts.

I bought my Samsung Dishwasher because I thought I saw reviews that it was a good choice. Cant trust all those reviews as this dishwasher lasted less than 2 years. The cost to repair was more than what I paid for the dishwasher in the first place. I have never owned a dishwasher with such poor lasting ability. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance again. SHAME on Samsung for such a bad product. I should get at least 5-10 years out of it. They dont even have enough confidence in their product to offer more than the standard 1 year warranty. I am just so disgusted right now. I dont know what to do.

I have owned this item for over a year. This item will NOT dry your dishes. The drying cycle on the washer is extremely long and dishes are all wet when it finishes. All cups and glasses will have water in the recesses. You will end up drying everything as you take it out of this dishwasher. I am very disappointed with this purchase and could not recommend it. It is a big waste of money.

We purchased this dishwasher (Samsung DMR77 Stainless Dishwasher) about 2 years ago, paid $800 for it. It has never cleaned right from the beginning. After a couple of months, the stainless front door panel started pitting. I contacted the company and they tried to make it my fault. Now, the motor is making this high pitched noise that is very irritating. I suspect the motor bearings are shot. I replaced a 10-year-old Maytag machine that was still working fine. My wife wanted to remodel the kitchen and go with stainless, so we bought a Samsung stainless refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. This dishwasher is a piece of junk and I am going to toss it and buy a Whirlpool for about 40 percent less than I paid for this junk. I will never buy a Samsung product again.

This is a follow up to a previous complaint I had with a Samsung French doo
This is a follow up to a previous complaint I had with a Samsung French door refrigerator model # RF267ABRS. We had found our food thawed in the freezer part even though temp reading was at -2 F. I searched the web and found a repair tip to pull out unit and remove back cover. I did this and found that the coils were covered in lint and dog hair, we have dogs. The fan blade to cool the coils was also dirty and the water sump was full. I vacuumed as much of the build-up I could out of there, then unplugged the unit and used a small air compressor I have for sport balls and tires to blow out as much dust from the coils as I could. I then carefully cleaned off the fan blades with hot water and dish soap, with a sponge. The blades are plastic so I took my time. It will make a mess to clean up, but it should probably be done yearly, spring cleaning (Mine is about 3 years old and most complaints come after 2 years). I also removed the water from the drip pan under the coil with the small wet/dry vac I used. I plugged the unit back in and put the cover back. The freezer seems to be working. I will buy a thermometer to put in there to keep an eye on it as I do not trust the readout on the fridge itself. The site I used also said I should remove all items from the unit and let it sit unplugged with all doors open for 24 hours. This is to clear any drains blocked with ice. This will only work if you have a second refrigerator to put your food in to keep cold, which I do not. My issue is that there should be an error code on the readout of the unit that instructs a cleaning of the coils is due yearly, since this is a $2,500.00 unit!

We purchased ALL of our appliances in December of 2015 from a local Rosners in West Palm Beach Florida where we bought all Samsung, w/d, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator and microwave. The ice maker never worked properly and from the first year we had problems. We had build up of ice in the freezer if we put too many items in it and had to use a hair dryer on occasion to defrost it so it would work properly. We chose not to purchase the extended warranty but thought we would have little to no issues in the first few years at least. We chose NOT to install a Samsung brand water filter to save money but realized that was not a good idea. Now we are without ice, water and have spent an extra $200+ on repairman who cant figure out the problem. It is my first major purchase of appliances in my 50 years and I now know I should have listened to recommendations that Samsung has too many problems and they are too expensive to maintain and I should have got GE products. Unfortunately, that isnt the case. If you have any suggestions, we appreciate your input.

We recently purchased all new appliances for our new home. The three door counter depth model was delivered & installed by our dealer. We quickly noticedthat the refrigerator doors were sweating. Over three days I had contact with Samsung Customer service three times and a service representative once. Total time spent telling my story over and over again to people I had difficulty understanding amounted to about 2 hours. I finally became so angry that nothing was being accomplished that I told the lady I was going to hang up and let her figure out what was happening to my service request & call me back...and, if I did not hear back from her in a reasonable time period I was going to return this abomination. I did not hear from her.I have contacted my dealer and am returning this and will NEVER again purchase a Samsung product. Having been in a manufacturing/consumer product company for over 40 years I know world class customer service. Samsung doesnt gave a clue! Not sure how they continue to sell consumer products with such pitiful follow up.

Samsung RF217ACWP - purchased in July 2011 from Lowes. First one delivered was taken back because the ice maker did not work and was not properly assembled. I have had this one for two years. Now the crispers and the tray under them are filling with water. Repairman said it may be the sensor or the seals, but not sure. Also he said that it is a known problem with these refrigerators. Its $125 into the repair so far and we are thinking about spending $1,000 to buy a different brand - First and last Samsung refrigerator we will ever buy.

Microwave broke under warranty (4 months old). Called Samsung and they dispatched local appliance technicians. The local technicians indicated they cannot repair the microwave and requested the microwave be replaced. The Samsung customer service center responded they will not replace the microwave. Samsungs response is to keep sending replacement parts to try. In some cases Samsung has sent the same part twice. At this point my microwave has been under repair for 6+ weeks and no resolution. Samsung has absolutely terrible respect for their clients or the advice of the service technicians. Even if repaired I worry about the safety of the product post repair as I have seen reports on this site of Samsung microwaves catching fire. Terrible service from Samsung in respecting their product warranty. Do yourself a favor and purchase another brand of appliance.

I recently purchased a Samsung gas stove. When I received it the bottom interior panel was defective. There were lines in the finish. I used the oven three times and the finish started to peel off of the stove. I put in a warranty claim and the claim was found to be physical damage and not covered. I paid $3600 for this stove. The defect is not physical damage. Even if it was the finish should not be peeling and flaking off after three uses or not at all! Samsung refuses to send another technician out to document the damage properly. The first technician could not take a decent picture to show the defect or the peeling. I could have taken a better picture myself. I would like Samsung to come back out and properly document and resubmit the claim. Three oven uses and the finish is peeling off! I thought Samsung was a good name. Apparently its not. The smell of the finish burning off the bottom panel cannot be good to be breathing in.

Updated on 06/16/2019: Well, hello folks! It’s been a couple of years since I last posted. Still the same old fridge complaints. The repair guy has been here at least 4 more times since 2017. Same repairs, circuit boards, etc. THIS time he said Non-Repairable! But it’s ok, the company said they would send a check for 800 dollars. Seems they subtract the prior repairs from your purchase price!! How clever!! Which means the extended warranty is a joke! Hey!! Guess what! I paid a lot more than $800! I now am so sick of Samsung, that I will never, never again be so foolish. Btw the Samsung microwave has been just as bad. This has got to stop. These companies are not concerned about longevity, just sales. I’m ashamed of them.Original Review: Well, fridge is blowing the circuit breaker again. 2nd time in less than 2 yrs. Took 2 mos. the first time to get it fixed, wonder how long this time? H. H. Gregg in Cincinnati is now out of business, although they wasnt much help in the first place, and ext. warranty is dragging their feet again. All brand new appliances after we got our new house, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer, etc. controls on the stove never have worked right. Anything below 3 on the burners may work, may not. I wish I just had a fridge that cooled, let alone the icemaker working. Supposedly a couple circuit boards went bad the 1st time, and its doing the same thing this time. So we are patiently waiting for a serviceman to call back, meantime living out of a couple of coolers. BUYING SAMSUNG WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT the BIGGEST MISTAKE OF OUR LIVES!!! This company doesnt care about ANYTHING, except selling you a bill of goods! Well, they sold me once, but NEVER again. I thought they were a good company. Apparently not.

I wish I had read reviews before purchasing the dishwasher. I had purchased the refrigerator and was somewhat satisfied so I purchased the dishwasher so that the appliances would match. Both are stainless steel (so they say but magnets stick to the front of the dishwasher so you know its not stainless.) The front of the dishwasher has rusted but in addition to that (this was actually the icing on the cake) the dishwasher has not worked more than it has worked. Always stopping, giving blinking lights, had to replace the level sensor twice, clean out the line numerous time and it really doesnt clean well. The refrigerator while not rusting doesnt drain and a thick sheet of ice gets under the drawer. We have to take the drawer out and soak up the water and ice. Nothing but issues. I hate both appliances and will NEVER purchase another Samsung appliance again. I wont even take it for free. Thank you.

Poor Samsung customer service! My dishwasher was broken after using it for second time. Fine! A technician came and reported it as an unrepairable issue in Jul. Then, it took 2 MONTHS to get replace approval! However, I got a call from Samsung after confirming with me to replace a new unit in Sep, said there is no available inventory near my area (Baltimore, MD), We (Samsung) are gonna refund you the dishwasher. We purchased model #RF263BEAEBC and immediately had problems with the ice maker. It would leak water every time we used it and the ice would come out soft and mostly broken. After 5 service calls and a complete ice maker replacement during the 1 year MFG warranty, Samsung said there is nothing else they can do and left us with the same problem. I tried to warm up some leftovers and the Samsung microwave model SMH9187ST just stopped. I reset the time and tried again only to have the thing display X and 0 and then went dead. I checked the circuit breakers and all were fine. I checked the manual and unplugged the unit, waited a minute and plugged it in but no luck - still dead. I called customer relations and Gerardo informed me that the unit was out of warranty and he could schedule a repair at my cost. I informed him that this was our first Samsung appliance and having it break just over 2 years when we only warm up leftovers is not acceptable. I told him that we had a LItton counter top microwave which we had for over 20 years without any problems and sold it when we purchased this unit. He checked for any recalls and said that there were no issues similar to mine and I would have to have it repaired. I told him this would be the first and last Samsung product I will ever buy and I will tell my friend and relatives not to buy this crap. I, too, checked Consumer Reports prior to buying this unit just like one of the posters here and bought it because they gave it a good rating. I will not trust them anymore.

I also bought a Samsung dishwasher about 2 years ago and I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher again. And I wouldnt buy another Samsung appliance either because of it. At first I thought the part had sheared somehow and that is why it was loose. So I bought another arm. $110.00 bucks! The new one popped in and lo & behold it did the same thing. I also have the same issue with the black gunk that builds up at the bottom of the door. I clean it quite often. Its GROSS! Samsung scheduled service for me with a big service company, Appliance Hospital, and after 6 trips to my home never fixed it. Samsung has indicated they would replace it with a new one. That was 2 weeks ago. As of today, No update, no phone call. Ive called Samsung, texted, cannot get an update. 2.5 MONTHS! I use a small beverage fridge and a cooler for produce. I spent $2,800 on that fridge. Unbelievable. Time for an attorney? Media? What am I supposed to do. I just want a refrigerator, that works. I want good service, good communication. $2,800 should have provided that. Samsung you have failed big time.

What hasnt gone wrong. The latest problem is the handle on the freezer drawer. It keeps coming off. There are two bolts that screw into the freezer drawer that the handle attaches to. The problem is, the refrigerator has a latent known defect in which the threaded piece inside the drawer the bolt screws into breaks off inside the drawer. This is clearly a latent defect with the manufacturing of the product. Samsung considers this a cosmetic issue. Huhhhh, they would not honor the repair and wanted me to purchase another warranty. We have had many other issues like the ice machine, water filter and so on. I am so done with Samsung – a crappy product, bad service. Dont buy.

Samsung refrigerator rf217 - Purchased it from Sears along with service contract. Within weeks the veg containers filled with water- have had the repair service here at least 9 times for same issue. Its now near the limit of coverage and the water is still coming into the veg area and icing up. The repair service admits that the Samsung ref is trouble. I will also add that there is a crack in the plastic in the area where the two top doors meet. Can find no cause for this other than poor quality. The issues were the vent blocked so cant breathe. This happened till the entire inside back panel was replaced- build up of frost in freezer told door didnt close properly the- that the ref wasnt balanced enough somewhere. There is a list of excuses. Bottom line Samsung knew of the issue. Just read the booklet that comes with the product and the number of times they mention water build up. Its cheaper for them to rewrite the book than correct the problem.UPDATE ON 05/28/2018: Its near the end of the 5 year service contract - the same problems have never been removed - tipping back replacing fan - wires - back panel etc. The service was here twice this month. Called today. Went through all the repairs for same issue. Sabrina said she would put me on hold then came back. Said she couldnt hear me and hung up -- I called back. Went over everything again with a man this time. He informed me that the tech had to come to repair and if the tech felt it couldnt be fixed then they would replace. Was told I could file a replacement for lost food. I have had it with stalling the ice and water in the veg containers has gone on from the time I bought the thing to present and its still not fixed. Still filling with water ice and rotting the food and now I am told that the tech must attempt to fix the problem before they will replace it. Am fed up with Sears Samsung and the quality of home appliances - doesnt even rate one star. Would rate it a minus if I could so its one star and thats even too much.

We bought our Samsung fridge in Dec 2014. In June 2018 we called Samsung 6 times because our ice maker stopped working. Nobody would call us to schedule an appt to come and fix it. We had to have it repaired for by ourselves (was told no one will work on warranty repairs on Samsung because they take too long to get their money from them). Now a year later the refrigerator side of the unit is completely out and not working, and we are going through the same thing all over again, no call backs from Samsung’s warranty repair people in our area. I had to move all my chilled items to a cooler and to my old garage Whirlpool fridge that is over 12 yrs old and it still works great, even in the summer heat in FL in a garage. I will be buying a Whirlpool again this weekend. Never again Samsung! They need to stick to making cell phones because they suck at making appliances, and their customer service stinks and reputation sucks!

We purchased the Samsung Electric Range Model NE595R0ABSR Oct. 2014. The convection fan in the oven stopped working. This also causes the oven temp. to drop. Contacted Samsung Consumer Support. I was told the item is out of warranty. They will not provide a part number or allow you to purchase the items to repair the issue. They do have preferred service companies aka sub-contractors. Samsung can not or will not provide an estimate on what the repair may cost. Im in my 40s and remember appliances of my parents and grandparents lasting 20 plus years. I will NEVER purchase or recommend ANY Samsung appliance!

Samsung French Door Refrigerator - Our refrigerator is 6 months old and I noticed that a film appears in the bottom of our glasses when we use the ice and water from the refrigerator door. The film appears to float. I tried just using the water and then just getting a glass of ice and noticed the same film. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Model RFGTHDRS - I bought this unit 3 years ago. Nearly every plastic bin on both side of the door broke for no reason and had to be replaced. About 2 years after the purchase, I noticed water collecting and then freezing underneath the large pantry drawer, to the point you cant open that drawer. I have to eventually take that whole drawer out and remove the ice buildup. Samsung wanted to charge me $450 for a service call, and they denied being aware of any problem like this. I see it is a very huge problem. I am completely dissatisfied with customer support and this product. I would advise anyone to stay away from Samsung refrigerators. I am also going to the U.S. gov recall website and post there. I hope everyone else does too. This will force a recall and cost them tons of money, which they should be responsible for.

I purchased a new Samsung double door range. Within a month I noticed that part of the time when the oven was preheated the top door wouldnt open. However if you open both doors it will open. I was told by customer service that this was a safety option to keep a blast of hot air from coming out at you. I should have insisted that it be checked by a tech. If it were for my safety I think it would be consistent. They will tell you anything to get you off the phone. I bought it from Sears. I wish Id bought it from Lowes. Then I could have just taken it back like I did the Samsung microwave that lasted about a month. Never! Ever! buy Samsung anything again!

Purchased this refrigerator 12/06/13. Around 10/14 the whole unit quit working. Samsung did not use local Sears. I called for service 10/21/14 and a repairman from out of town that Samsung contracts with, arrived 10/23/14. A PCB and display was ordered and then he returned around 10/29/14 to install those parts. Over a week without a working refrigerator in my kitchen!! We have constant problems with frost build and ice forming in the freezer. This is the WORST refrigerator we have ever owned! Will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance!

I had purchased a Samsung Fridge double door of 325 ltr capacity during Jan 2011. The Fridge was not giving good response right from the date of purchase i.e. watering, freezer not working, frequent sensor and motherboard problems. I had complained to Samsung that you have delivered a faulty fridge, so replace a good Samsung Fridge or repay the amount. They did not lisen any one of my offer to satisfy the customer. They CHEATED ME and assured that we will rectify the issue and deliver you perfectly. They took the unit to service center and got repaired. Till date I am facing one or the other problem in every 4 months time and I require to pay for each service and even I have to pay to the technician for just inspecting the fridge where the reply from the technician was that the proper thermacol is not available for the top door fridges and they themselves say that all top door fridges will have the same problem and hence they same problem will continue even after repair. I had a single door 190 ltr Whirlpool fridge without problem for ten years except to defrosting.A fridge is an immovable item in a house and an amount hard earned money Rs.25000 is invested on a fridge of a reputed company and if it is giving frequent problems one or other and spending nearly one-fourth of cost of fridge for the past 6 yrs is really painful and it is great loss to the customer and giving mental agony hence I have been forced purchased an another fridge from Whirlpool for for Rs.22000/- which is an unwanted additional expenditure created by Samsung company. I came to a conclusion after 6 years since I lost faith on SAMSUNG company instead of keep on spending money for repairing the worst Samsung fridge, I have been forced to purchase my old brand from Whirlpool company. Further the service center at Guindy is also one of the worst service provider and the technicians are not properly qualified, since they are not experienced and charging for the same problems from the customer and the service center is disobedient to Samsung company. Even Samsung company says not to charge for the same problem the service center either do not listen to them or leave the job half baked or not responding further even after repeated phone calls. Hence, in view of the above I advise the public NOT TO PURCHASE SAMSUNG FRIDGE AT ANY COST since all module of SAMSUNG FRIDGE are VERY WORST FRIDGE.

The first Samsung was bought in Nov 14, 2014. The motherboard went out April 19, 2015. A repairman was sent out 5 days later by Lowes and he says Its the motherboard and it would have to be ordered. 2 weeks later we are still without a refrigerator. Numerous calls back and forth between Samsung and Lowes customer support where I was told by ** at Samsung that she could send a repairman out but this would be at my expense. She also tells me my one year manufacturers warranty was non existent because the date that the refrigerator was made is the date the warranty starts. So my 5 month old fridge was out of warranty. Again 2 weeks without a refrigerator and numerous calls later Lowes comes through for me and exchanges my dead Samsung for another Samsung. This one had a much shorter life expectancy and expired 51 days after delivery. Lowes again came through for me with another exchange... a Whirlpool. I have sent a letter to Samsung and described in great detail the problems that I encountered with the first refrigerator and have yet to hear from them. Had I known the 2nd one was also going to lay down so quick, I would have saved myself a stamp.

In 2010 I purchased five Samsung appliances with a five-year extended warranty. Shortly after the first year every one of the appliances had issues. I emailed Samsung and they did not even have the courtesy to reply. The stove had so many replacement parts, it was practically a rebuilt and finally deemed a lemon by Samsung. The dishwasher never cleaned well from the start despite following all the guidelines, had major parts replaced and finally stopped working all together. It was deemed a lemon and replaced. The fridge had water pooling in and under a crisper. That problem was fixed after three service calls and now it is doing the same thing. The washer stopped dispensing hot water and had major parts replaced. The dryer element burned out right after one year and then the door started having trouble staying closed. The dryer was less than three years old and Samsung could not supply a replacement door. The dishwasher was finally replaced with a new one and is nowhere near the quality of the first model. It will be a year old in June and is already having cleaning issues. The stove and dryer were three years old on an extended warranty when Samsung offered a buy out. I assumed that meant they would be paying enough money to replace the appliances. After all, the warranty states they would fix or replace defective appliances. That was not the case. The buyout fell short of actually being able to replace the same items. Dont fall for that song and dance. I thought I was buying a good name and good quality with Samsung. I was not.

I purchased model NE59J7850WS/AA. It was not heating properly and I called to have it serviced. When the service tech came out he stated that they had several problems with this unit and thats just the way it was. He didnt even have a thermometer with him to check if the oven was heating properly. After using my own thermometer he made a few calls and replaced the entire board in the back. Its working better but does not heat evenly. The newest issue is that the glass top is really hard to keep clean. Ive had glass top stoves before and never had a problem like this. We called service and was told if it isnt a manufacturer defect we would have to pay for the service call. I think the most insulting thing was she was trying to tell us we didnt know how to clean the cooktop. I will never purchase another Samsung product. I dont believe they are a quality product.

I purchased my Samsung dishwasher model number DW7933LRASR in November 2014. Within the first year the circuit board went. When I called the repair company and explained the problem they knew right away to bring the new board as others had same issue. Within a few months of the repair and after the warranty was out the same problem occurred. This time I have to pay to have the company confirm its the same problem - if it is Samsung will pay for the board but I have to pay for the repair (the company is in another town an hour away so probably cheaper to buy a new dishwasher!). I purchased a double oven stove and refrigerator too - no major issues but not 100% happy so would not recommend any Samsung home appliances. The dishwasher is certainly problematic and Samsung does not care about its customers!!!

On October 1, 2014 my daughter and I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher from Home Depot (Nanuet, NY) along with a 5 year extended warranty and installation. The installers took almost 3 hours to install, and just before leaving, told us that there is a slight leak under the sink - the leak was the dishwasher. This was a housewarming gift for my son. The dishwasher shuts off before completing cycle, continues to leak. He has gone personally on 3 occasions into Home Depot who absolutely refuse to help, says it is Samsungs problem. He has spoken with Samsung who refuse to replace and is surprised that Home Depot has brushed him off as they have. Samsung says they have to come to service a NEW dishwasher 3 times before replacing. They were supposed to arrive today between 9-11, and at 8:55 called to say they would be there 1-3, which meant he had to lose a day at work. When the technician came, he wasnt sure what the problem and spoke very little English, so had difficulty explaining himself - both Samsung and Home Depot continue to ignore the situation.

We purchased a 2 door, 2 drawer Samsung refrigerator at a cost of approximately $4,000.00, 3 years ago. The fridge stopped working a few months ago. We had an appliance repair company that was referred to us by Home Depot for this brand. The circuit board was defective. Samsung stopped making that particular circuit board and refused a solution for the repair of our fridge. After checking out the Samsung service of parts for repair, we found out they do not support the repair companies with parts or solutions. Therefore we had to dispose of our 3 year old fridge and buy a new one for about the same cost. What happened to refrigerators that last 10 to 15 years??? I would caution anyone when it comes to Samsung refrigerators, BUY ANOTHER BRAND!!!

We purchased the door-in-door, Samsung, side by side refrigerator in November 2016, from Best Buy. We are extremely happy with the larger refrigerator with easy access to beverages. However, the ice maker and water dispenser are the worst. Not only is the ice maker very loud but it ices up and needs to be removed and cleaned out constantly. Also, there isnt any easy access to the ice from inside the door when you need large amounts of ice without taking the unit out. Even with these small problems, the overall reaction is that this was the perfect refrigerator for our family.

The engineers came and changed many parts but the result it will work for 5 to ten days and fail. Me being a techie could find the problem that the defrosting doesnt take place. Now they are telling me that they are ready to give me 54% of the invoice and they will take back my fridge. But when paid 60000/- and works for 2.5 years why should buy from Samsung. I saved for over a year to be able to purchase what I thought was a top of the line refrigerator. When Lowes had this 4 door refrigerator on sale, I jumped at the chance to purchase. The first day the refrigerator was plugged in, the digital board on the ice maker would not work. My son finally got it to work after we unplugged the unit and plugged it back in. About a month later, the same thing happened. I called technical support and they helped me to get the unit going again. Tonight when I got home from work, the ice machine would not work. I call support again and spoke to a gentleman that could not be understood. When I figured out that he could not help, I asked to speak to someone else. I got to speak to the woman from hell. Even though I told her that my refrigerator was new and that I had taken the extended service agreement, she informed me that I would have to pay someone to repair my refrigerator because I needed to be educated on how to use it. Well, I do know that I should not have to unplug my new refrigerator 3 times in 3 months to keep the digital panel from freezing up. Lowes told me not to call the technical support number again but to call them directly because I could not count on Samsung to help me with my problem. I wish I had read the negative reviews before spending over $2000 on a unit that does not work.

I purchased this refrigerator in December 2011. It worked like a charm until earlier this year, when the warranty ran out. We had ice build up in back of fridge. Called for service and the first person did not look at the issue; he just ordered the part and we had to pay before it was delivered to us. Second repair person was terrific. He fixed the problem and found the original issue which was a part the first guy never ordered. We thought we were all set for another five years. Now the freezer has ice buildup under the drawer and the door binds when closing. I hate to spend another 500 dollars and not know what will happen next. We will definitely not be buying Samsung appliances in the future.

How do I start this? First bought Samsung because retailer said it was one of the best made refrigerator. After one year the thermal fuse failed, back panel blew out from frost. No warranty coverage. The tech said they had less than 1% failure rate on their appliances. I had no idea if it was the truth but he had a Samsung shirt on so that means he knows what he is doing, right?Well $327.00 later I had a working refrigerator on top of the $1400.00 I had already paid for it. The ice maker stopped making entire ice cubes. Only crushed ice seems to come out of it. That was OK just wrote it off as high moisture in South Carolina until the bottom of the refrigerator filled with water. I noticed the seal for the double doors was not completely sealed because of a wrinkle in the top of it. Warming it with a real hot towel I worked the wrinkle out of it. That seemed to help. Overall I dont recommend this manufacturer of refrigerators. Based on their lack of support I wont be buying Samsung anything for a long time if ever. I dont believe that I still have the receipt but I can find it being bought at Lowes in Seneca, SC four years ago.

I was so happy to be able to afford to finally be able to buy this refrigerator for my family (model RF323TEDBSR). Mine was manufactured Apr 2012, but we did not buy it until Feb 2013. I used to drool over the commercials of the big, happy family that was loading their shiny refrigerator with lots of groceries and pine for the day where I could actually afford that refrigerator for my family. We have 8 children, 6 who are still home full time, and this was touted as a big refrigerator for big families.Initially, I was very happy with my purchase. It definitely lives up to all the space. The first grocery trip that I was able to fit everything into our new fridge prompted me to put pictures on social media. I was so tickled with it. Unfortunately, the honeymoon was a short one and my relationship with this refrigerator quickly soured. I had issues with a code that kept alarming that was repaired under warranty. The lower ice maker quit working altogether, but it was also repaired. That is all well and good, but its harder than you think to find an appliance repairman who works on Samsung products at all, but especially the refrigerator. Its apparently even harder to actually get parts for the poor thing. As of today, my fridge is a total piece of junk that is a daily reminder of how I was ripped off for over $2500 (and I got a huge discount by being a smart shopper and combining discounts and a coupon). As of today, I am missing 4 of the door bins. All of the bigger ones on the right side where there should be lots of space for condiments, milk and more, they are broken and unusable. I have not been able to obtain any replacements for them at all. Even when narrowing them down on Samsungs website (do you know how many different door bins there are?!), I could not possibly spend the exorbitant prices they are asking... Keep in mind, its still under extended warranty, but the warranty does not cover such things. There is no handle on the freezer. The replacement one fell off, too. I usually have to open a fridge door to open the freezer. The bin inside the freezer has cracked and one has been pulled out because it was not staying in place anymore. The pantry door is gone. It was replaced once, but the second cracked in the same manner and it has not been replaced. The pantry drawer itself is also damaged and comes off the track much too easily. The upper ice maker is completely dead. It stopped making ice awhile ago, though the water still worked. The water used to be fun to try and see if it wanted to work that day. Some days youd push the dispenser down, the light would come on and nothing would happen for awhile. It eventually stopped dispensing water at all. So now no ice or water up top. The repairman fixed it once, but its now broken again. And yes, the filter has been replaced with a genuine Samsung filter. When it was fixed, the entire apparatus that holds the filter was replaced. But again, no ice up top and no water. There is a crack on the white plastic on one shelf portion over the crisper on one side and a larger chunk cracked out on the other, to the point the glass shelf edge is partially exposed. So much for humidity control.More recently, the fridge seems to be running warmer and my produce is dying off at an alarming rate. I am now looking at replacing a 2.5 year old fridge (which is still under an extended warranty!) that I feel totally duped into believing was actually meant for a family. I used to love this thing, now I hate it, and that makes me sad.

Then in December of 2018 the fan behind the back panel in the refrigerator froze up and I had to replace that. Now I have to defrost my refrigerator every month or two to keep it working. Upon moving into a new home, I purchased a 4-drawer Samsung refrigerator. Its beautiful and has a lot of cool features, but within 6 months the ice maker was frozen over. I contacted Samsung and they sent a repair person (theres only one in my area). He walked in and without even touching the refrigerator indicated that he could replace the parts, but Samsung hadnt done anything to truly fix the issues, so it would break in another 6 months. It didnt last that long! Within the next 8 months, it would break 3 more times. They finally agreed to replace it after the repair person refused the job the final time. They led me through a long process of providing documentation and then indicated that they couldnt find a replacement (even though they are in all of the big box stores near me), so they offered me a refund. I accepted it and they led me on an even longer documentation process -- requested paperwork piece-by-piece (first the bill of sale, then a picture of the warranty information, then a scan of the sticker on the inside of the door...), indicate they didnt receive what Id sent and ask for it to be sent again; send the wrong form and after I call, send me a new form, indicate they didnt receive it and ask for it again... This continued until I wrote an email to the Executive Vice President. I was assigned a designated contact, whose title indicated she was in the Presidents Office, who was no better than their original customer service representatives. She only assisted when I initiated the contact and what was supposed to take 5-7 days, took over 2 weeks. Upon getting my refund approval, my designated contact told that Id receive two emails -- one asking for all of the information (ignore it, she said) and a second that would request my bank information to get a direct deposit. Amazingly, Id receive the first email repeatedly, but never get the second one. I now have to wait for a check to be cut. I have already been in the process for two months and am now told that it will be an additional 2 weeks to get a check. As the check is too large to put through my banks app, I will have to drive over an hour to the nearest branch. At the time Im writing this, Florida has just entered a 30-day stay-at-home order; therefore, I will be unable to deposit it for a lengthy time. Buyer beware! While Samsung appliances look pretty (my dishwasher is also a disappointment!), they are poorly made and their warranty is painful and designed to discourage you from using it.

This French door fridge was bought 2 years ago. First 3 weeks the ice bucket was not properly closing. The ice keeps getting stuck inside thus it would not make any if this is not physically pried out. They replaced the bucket and it was fine. Last week the cooler compartment stopped cooling (loud noise for 3 days that goes away when you open the door then it comes back again once you close it). I woke up that morning. It was just not cold inside so I asked my sister to keep an eye on it (dont know what to think of it since I was rushing to go to work). By the time I came home the temp screen was blinking and my sister said it has been like that all day! I went online, tried to chat with the rep Rose and twice as she tries to give me the transaction number, she gets disconnected! Again, she was back after I went searching and gave me a link that wont open up! It was a technical difficulty she said? It seems like SAMSUNG has technical difficulties everywhere!!!Finally got a young lady on the phone. In short nobody can come until 4 days later so as it was the weekend and my fridge was stocked up with food. I rented another refrigerator from RAC Center. Paid $57.00 for 2 weeks rent in case... The technician came last Tuesday and we were told it was the fan, packed with ICE and that the SENSOR needed to be replaced. It will cost me $222.00 for the $13.56 sensor and the rest for labor fees!! I was told to call if I start to have food wastage but really thats not what I need! I need them to fix their act and by the reviews and complaints here, it seems that this has been going on with their refrigerators. SAMSUNG needs to pay back the customers who has to deal with this ridiculous product!!! I cannot afford a new refrigerator right now. And really, I had the GE one before this, the old conventional no-nonsense fridge that I gave to the men to haul away and boy, my husband blamed me for doing that. That GE had no issues for many years that we had it other than we just wanted a fridge with the ice maker/water dispenser!! Talk about wasting $1900.00 on a SAMSUNG crap!

I have a Samsung French Door refrigerator in white and just started noticing what at first looked like food or grime on the front left door at the bottom of the ice maker where it fits into the door. I started cleaning it and couldnt believe it - it was RUST! I have never seen rust on a new refrigerator. I purchased it in Jan 2013 from Pacific Sales. The ice maker drips constantly and the fridge makes a loud buzzing noise sometimes. I wanted to see if anyone else was having this same trouble before I call Samsung, and I can see that a lot of customers have the exact same problems as me. Im not sure what to do at this point because I know its out of warranty now. Another possibly dangerous situation - now that the paint is coming off where the rust is, Ive already shocked myself touching where the bare metal is. I wonder, could I (or my kids) get electrocuted if theres a drop of water on the metal when we touch it? Hummmmmm???

About 5 years ago I purchased a Samsung RF217ACRS wide french door refrigerator. This unit has been nothing but trouble since about 1 day after the warranty ended. In the past 2.5 years I have spent about as much money on repairs as on the original purchase. The control panel continues to freeze up, ice blocks the drain, the panel has been replaced twice, several other parts have been replaced yet nothing appears to solve the problem of water all over the bottom of the unit. The vegetable bins always have water in the bottom. Each repair person that has been to the house has reiterated that they intensely dislike working on Samsung however their appliances keep them in business. I will never purchase a Samsung appliance again.

Samsung dishwasher DMT800 RHB - We bought this dishwasher less than six months ago. Nothing but trouble. After four months, the pump went out. The pump replacement part was out of stock. It took two weeks to get repaired. The repairman fixed it, but it is much louder now than it was before. The repair was completed last week. Now it is not cleaning dishes - they go in dirty and come out dirty. When you call for service, they keep you on hold for fifteen minutes. Stay away from Samsung.

We bought a Samsung dishwasher model DMR78 in October 2010. We selected a Samsung model that was fairly expensive thinking that it would be more reliable and would last longer than conventional models. That was a mistake. After about 2 years it started to make a grinding noise. Since Samsung had no local service center we had to call an independent repair company. The diagnostic was that all the plastic brackets supporting the dishes trays were broken and little loose parts blocked the drain pump. We had to replace the pump. The repair cost was 258$. A year after we had again a grinding noise and we had to call for service again. This time the problem could not be located as it just suddenly disappear after being checked by the service men.About 6 months after we started having error codes #9E. This indicate a clogged level switch that I was able to fix myself by using instructions found on Youtube. It still means that I have to pull out the dishwasher and open it to fix it. This repair takes about 2 hours. That code started showing up again after 6 months and we are seriously thinking to replace the dishwasher after less than 5 years of usage! I would definitely not recommend buying a Samsung dishwasher.

Within 4 months this Model DW80F600UTS Samsung Dishwasher began to give misleading ERROR messages (High temp Heating error and Over-level Water error). Service calls were made twice while still under warranty only to have the errors re-surface. The only way we could get the dishwasher to work was to alternate washing cycles. Finally after 3 years of fighting with this dishwasher the pump began to leak and we threw it out.

On November 6, 2011 I purchased a Samsung RFG 238AARS refrigerator and an extended warranty. July 2013 it needed a defrost heater and temperature sensor (Evaporation Assembly) due to freezing below the drawer in the freezer. In December 2014 there was a clogged drain and a fan problem causing more freezing in the freezer and refrigerator. In March 20-17 there again was ice build up and the repairman said it was a common problem with Samsung due to duck bills being clogged. Currently the food freezes in the refrigerator and the freezer has problems with the ice maker. Yet, Samsung will not agree to a replacement. The freezer cost 2500.00 and makes noises and freezes below the drawers in the refrigerator and freezer. ITS A LEMON! I owned an Amana for 20 years without one repair to it. Prior to that, I owned a Kenmore without a single repair. I have been on the phone with Samsung many times, and on hold for as long as 45 minutes to no avail. I would NEVER buy a Samsung product again!

I have had my appliances less than 3 years. The handle on the refrigerator and microwave both came off. The Samsung name logo came off on the stove. The instructions in the manual said dont clean the logo. It may come off. Whoever heard of not cleaning your stove. Currently I need to replace a knob on the stove which will cost $38 + shipping to replace. This is a plastic knob. I have talked to customer no-service who had said since the stove was over a year old they could not replace it. I will never buy a Samsung product again. I have never had to replace a knob or handle on any of my previous appliances. Think hard and long before you buy a Samsung appliance.

The racks are really cheap and you have to be careful when sliding out and back in. Samsung has poor customer service and repair technicians say they are awful to deal with. This happened EVERY TIME the freezer is opened. Sometimes louder than others... sometimes you have to stop a conversation and wait, or turn the TV up. A plumber came and checked the waterline/connections and Samsung came out and replaced the motherboard and the issue remains. It has now been 3 months and the problem has not been resolved. Samsung will not replace this because they have not actually seen the error code on the dishwasher. Samsung RF217 - I purchased this model (32) after installing a 36 Samsung in my mothers house. I was impressed with the larger model and expected similar results. My initial displeasure with this model was only two door shelves are full depth, so youre limited to 2 shelves that measure about 6x 10 for tall items. The interior shelves have little flexibility and only allow for a maximum height of 9.5, so a lot of my tall items have to lie down (and hopefully dont leak). But my main complaint is one month after the warranty expired (there is 5 years on the refrigeration system), I began noticing water in the produce drawers, a lot. I emptied and cleaned the drawers till today, finally Id had enough and spent 2 hours melting the ice that blocked the drain tube. Lowes would not cover the cost of a service call since it was out of warranty and Samsung will not admit they have a design flaw. If you research this problem you will find it is a common occurrence, so I cannot recommend this refrigerator or brand until they remedy my problem.

I am a believer of Samsung refrigerators, ranges, otr microwaves and washer and dryers but I always warn my customers about Samsung dishwasher service issues. Im pretty sure that the salesperson that sold most of you a Samsung dishwasher mentioned that they were crap. With so many choices for dishwashers, you should have looked at Bosch first, Kitchen aid secondly then, LG, Whirlpool, GE and Frigidaire in that order. Leaving Samsung at the bottom. I purchased a Samsung dishwasher serial # DW80F600UTW at Home Depot in October 2013. The machine worked well until May 2015 when it began flashing an Error Code- smart auto +heavy=overfill. I contacted an approved service provider who contacted Samsung Technical Support and was informed that: a) There was a bulletin on that model regarding overfill issues. b) Three parts were required to resolve the issue. c) These parts would cost over $400. The repair technician advised me that this was a manufacturing problem and that I, as a consumer, should not have to pay the bill to have the problem repaired. I contacted Samsung and spoke with a customer service representative who referred me to the Executive Customer Relations Department who informed me that Samsung is not willing to provide the necessary parts to resolve the error code.I am not satisfied with this response. I purchased a machine that requires the parts mentioned above to work properly. I am sure it is not Samsungs policy to create machines worth several hundred dollars to only work for one year. This is not a problem created through customer use, misuse, or abuse; it is a problem created through faulty manufacturing. I am willing to pay the labor to have the machine repaired but I believe it is Samsungs responsibility to provide the necessary parts.

I have purchased a Samsung refrigerator and freezer (twin type). It started creating problems and was not working properly, just after installing. I am a 73 yo Veteran and have had a dishwasher all my life. This Samsung dishwasher (Model #AA3JAG9MC&05835Y) is the worst I have ever owned starting with the dumb design of the dish racks that make your glasses fall over and dished roll when the rack is pulled out or pushed in. The worst problem is that it does not clean the dishes, I have been embarrassed several times when guests poured a drink and then dumped it when they saw the glass was not clean. I wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and still have to put a lot back in the dishwasher when they come out dirty. Ran the dishwasher twice yesterday and the dishes and glasses still come out dirty. Samsung wants me to spend my money to have their reps come out to fix the problem. Not going to happen, will throw out the Samsung and buy another brand that does what it is supposed to do.Also having problems with my Samsung Grand Prime cell phone. Friends are cursing me for not answering my phone only to find out that the ringer has changed from sound to vibrate or do not disturb WITHOUT my knowledge. Samsung can correct by a simple LOCK function on settings but after numerous calls and requests Samsung did nothing to correct the problem. Solution to my problems: TRASH MY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS AND GET ANOTHER BRAND THAT WORKS.

Two years ago we remodeled our kitchen. The new Samsung over the stove microwave matches the new Samsung stove and has some nice features and I do like it, but it is starting to make a grinding noise. It seems to have caught something from its big brother, the stove. This stove has all the bells & whistles..Looks like a cooks delight... Thats a disguise. The stove really sucks. It cooks everything to hot and the smooth top is a ** to clean compared to my old Whirlpool smooth top. The top burners on the Samsung take eons to come up, and when they do it mimics Kilauea. It will not do a simmer but slow boils. I end up cooking everything on the small burner rings, including big pots. I had to drop the oven temperature down 25 degrees to get the right results. I called the Samsung repair service. The guy told me there is nothing wrong with the stove. He must be a Democrat.Recently, when I use the oven, the convection fan started making noise... It is now making a racket. I checked with an appliance guy and he said that he has seen Samsung stove fans junk out before and eventually seize on a regular basis... the cost to replace the fan assembly would be about $300-$375 bucks. I went on the Internet and found videos on how-to replace the fan. I found an appliance parts website. My husband looked at the YouTube videos and is going to fix the stove himself. Never a Samsung product again. I understand their TVs are not very good either.
