Simply DO NOT BUY IT! The SAMSUNG dishwasher DW80F600UTB is by far the worst purchase that everyone shall avoid. Acquired one unit in Aug 31, 2013 at Future Shop Calgary, Canada. The machine was delivered on Sept 6, 2013. It worked marginally well up to Nov 3, 2013 (not even 2 months of use). On this fatidic day, the machine started leaving food residue and unfinished, not washed glasses, and from this point and on, my WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER! In a nutshell, I spent hours and hours on the phone with SAMSUNG (UN)SUPPORT Services(?). They sent me one local (not SAMSUNG) technician that pinpointed several problems (from the Pump up to Water Pressure). After 7 (SEVEN) visits and lots of parts replacement, the technician finally agreed that the machine was NO GOOD! Note: SAMSUNG will only replace your dishwater if their technician agrees that the machine is NO GOOD. In July 2014, I received the NEW UNIT from SAMSUNG but need to pay freight and installation again. The new unit worked marginally well up to February 2015.At this point I decided to wash the same batch of dishes at least 3 and 4 times, and tomorrow (Dec 28, 2015) I will buy a REAL DISHWASHER! This DW80F600UTB has serious design issues not recognized by SAMSUNG. On this regard, I would like to join BORIS of Calgary to enter in a fully documented and water-tight lawsuit against SAMSUNG. SAMSUNG must understand that we, customers, are not idiots nor money grow on trees to be spent in such a JUNK equipment.

We were excited to buy our Samsung fridge. It looked nice, was spacious, LED lighting, and more. But we have had a lot of problems with the freezer, and so far, it has not been fully addressed. We have lost food, Samsung repair has been out 2 times, replaced 3 different parts, insulted us on the phone - and yet the freezer still has problems. When this first started, we did not realize the freezer was building up ice on the back of the drawer; this area is not visible. Ice was apparently also building up on the rails. So the freezer had trouble closing, and at some point it stayed open about 1/8 for a few days and we lost all our food. We had no idea this was happening. We had Samsung repair come out and they replaced 2 parts. It is a long story, but we were initially led to believe we would get reimbursed for our food loss; not only did Samsung refuse to do that, but a Samsung employee actually called us, and blamed us. Apparently that person was unaware that Samsungs own repair people had replaced two different parts. Blaming us is an attempt at intimidation, to avoid paying the reimbursement. We have this call recorded on voice mail as well. We had no freezer at all for a whole MONTH - for the Samsung repair process - but I do not get the feeling from anyone I have talked to that Samsung cares about this. And the repair did not fully work. Our problems continue, and we can hear ice dropping. A Samsung employee told us there were no complaints about our model at all, which is hard to believe because when we had Samsung repair come out again, the repairman said there was an actual Service Bulletin out on our model. He replaced another part, so that is 3 different parts replaced. Yet, after this 3rd part was replaced, our freezer continues to drop ice. From extensive observation, it seems likely to me that this is a design problem, for Samsung lower-drawer freezers that have ice cubes in the lower drawer. They overfill the container and fall out of the back. And this is not just my opinion - that the design is at fault - one of the repairmen also talked about this.So its been close to a year now that we have had freezer problems. The way Samsung has treated us - trying to blame us for this, and refusing for a long time to reimburse our food loss - has left us very unhappy with Samsung. They finally did reimburse us recently but only after we went to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other places. We are posting on social media (and on this website) because we want people to know what our experience is. Samsung did not have to treat us this way. I have even started a website also about this, and it has a blog too at: **. I suppose Samsung repair could come out yet again - but if its a defective design, then there is nothing that a repairman can do.Since Samsung seems unable (or unwilling) to help us get this resolved, we will at some point just sell this thing, at a big loss no doubt, and find some other brand of refrigerator. If you want to avoid what we have gone through, I recommend you do NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator - or any other Samsung products, if their customer service in other products is as bad as this!

We have a three-year-old Samsung RFG298AABP/XAA French Door Refrigerator. Had the repairman out twice because the refrigerator wasnt getting cold enough and there was virtually no ice production. It was deemed unrepairable by the repairman because it was leaking freon in a place where he could not fix it. He said Samsung should replace it with a new refrigerator.Samsung contacted me and said they estimated the original cost to be $1,874, but they would only reimburse me $1,300. Then I called the second time and they said no, I would get the entire $1,874. I went to the store to look at new refrigerators and got sticker shock. I could not come close to the same model for that price. I was appalled that after three years, and their unit being defective, I would only get $1,874 to replace the refrigerator.I emailed the company to complain and was told they would send it to a supervisor to see if they could accommodate me after I told them I checked prices and the model like the one I have ran $2,799 now. I have spoken two more times to their Executive Customer Service, and they are telling me I can only get $1,874. I feel they should compensate people the replacement value when their refrigerators are defective. In conclusion, I will NEVER purchase another item from Samsung.

I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator for my wife for her birthday. Without pulling out the paperwork I think it was in November of 2008. Purchased at Lowes. Had a repairman come out to fix it twice within the first year. It was icing up and sounded like a food processor inside due to ice build up around the fan. The coils were solid ice and the drain was frozen. There was water underneath the platter drawer and so much it would leak out and across the floor. Well seven years later Im still going through the same things. As I write this at 1:48 in the morning I cant sleep due to the noise the fan is making due to ice buildup. This is ** for what I paid. Ive found out about a class action lawsuit against Samsung but cant find any info on how to join. I cant afford a new fridge right now so Im stuck until the lawsuit is settled I guess.

I really do not need to write a review. Just look all the other reviews about the Samsung refrigerator because that is exactly what I am experiencing. Bought the fridge in 2012. Have had it repaired 3 times for the same problem (icing over of the compressor unit in the back of the refrigerator portion). The product is inferior and their customer service does not care. They serve up platitudes and fake sympathy for your problem and then tell you you will pay, again and again and again, for the same repair over and over. I am stuck with this fridge because I do not have the money for a new one. Recently saw a young couple purchasing a Samsung refrigerator and stopped them before they could get ripped off too. If this review keeps one person from buying the piece of junk I am now stuck with, then it has been successful.

Samsung dishwasher model DMT400 stainless steel inside and out. Had for 2 yrs & 3 months. Kept stopping. Code stated it was a water problem. Nace came 4 times, replaced 3 parts. Later stated they could not fix my dishwasher. The dishwasher looks good but it is worthless. I called Lowes, they say sorry you didnt buy the extended warranty. I called Samsung, they said sorry, it is your problem. My book states there is a Samsung 5 yr warranty on the circuit board. How disappointing. I just bought a new refrigerator 3 months ago. It is a Samsung. I hope it doesnt let me down. I will never buy a Samsung product again. There is not one local to fix these appliances. I just had to buy another dishwasher and it is not a Samsung.

This is a product defect, and they are not standing by it. After two year this unit started rusting on the water and ice dispenser tray. We have sent several notes and called Samsung to rectify this. NO! This company does not stand behind its products. I used to like this company. I will never buy another product from Samsung. We sent in our proof of purchase, we made many phone calls and they said it was cosmetic and not covered. This product is embarrassing in my kitchen. Korean Krap. I will go buy any other product but Samsung to replace this refrigerator today.

DW80F600UTS - We purchased a new dishwasher in August of 2014 but it was not installed until the house was completed in January of 2015. Not only does this dishwasher take over two hours to cycle through, it has NEVER cleaned the dishes. We basically have to wash the dishes before we use it and then use it on the heavy and sanitize cycles. It has become a very expensive dish-drying rack! We have contacted Samsung numerous times and have had a technician here twice. They can find nothing wrong with the machine. According to Samsung it is working within specifications. Apparently dishes with baked on food is acceptable to Samsung. I complained all the way up to the presidents office and was basically told that if another technician came out and found nothing wrong, we would have to pay for the service call. Whatever you do, do not buy a Samsung dishwasher. It is a POS.

The fridge never really worked well to begin with. It kept freezing the eggs and just about everything else. The ice maker stopped working within months. Microwave and dishwasher stopped working next. Every time we called Samsung maintenance to come and fix everything, it would get fixed temporarily and we would have to call again. When we called again, they would have an excuse as to why it won’t work. We did this about 4-5 times. They wouldn’t even get us a new appliance because at this point we have gone over a year without a microwave and dishwasher. Maintenance is terrible, appliances are terrible. We do not recommend this at all.

Samsung dishwasher is broken down again. DMR78AHS 3 years old. Immediately the plastic tabs for the upper rack adjuster broke off. This is a common problem and has happened 3 times. Warranty covered too. Once the tab jamming the pump causing error code LE. No warranty this time, $179 to fix. Next the door tension spring is attached with a nylon cord and runs over a plastic pulley. Cord broke, door came crashing down, another $179 labor and $20 parts for 2 cords. Today it will not turn on at all, no response from control pad. I guess another $179 down the drain. It washes so poorly that we only load it half full, plates in every other space and dont even think about putting dishes in without pre-rinsing. We are very disappointed in this appliance. We have spent the price of the washer in service calls. We filed a request with Samsung when the tab jammed the pump for reimbursement of the service call but were denied. We feel a class action suit is appropriate.

This ice in the refrigerator has not been usable since we got it because of the odor. Changing the filter every six months doesnt help. The ice build-up under the meat drawer has also been a non-stop problem. We just went out and purchased a new one and will never buy another Samsung product because their customer service just doesnt care after multiple calls over the years. We just saw another couple in Lowes buying a new one also who had the same problems and the same model. I would suggest Samsung stick with TVs.

I just got off the phone with Samsung who claims they support their product because they have a 1 year warranty. Hurray for them, everyone has a 1 yr warranty. The companies that really support their products are the ones that recognize when 2 major components on an expensive refrigerator go out that they should be responsible for fixing it.We had the ice maker and the evaporator fan motor go out on our 2 1/2 yr. old refrigerator. Samsung will do nothing but send a repairman to diagnose it but not pay to fix it. All the customer service people can do is read their policy of You are outside of the 1 year warranty. Their phone message while you wait for an hour keeps saying that they pride themselves if in their customer service. They have TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE because they dont allow their management to look at a case and make a decision based on the situation. All they can do is keep telling you, You are outside of your warranty. I have dealt with much better companies that will truly support their products and fix a major issue even if it outside the warranty because they know their product should be better than that.

Three years after purchase my Samsung side by side completely quit. I contacted Samsung they told me I needed to purchase their protection plus extended warranty which I did. I have had nothing but hassles dealing with Assurant. There is no one in my city that will work on the unit. I have to bring someone from another city and pay travel time. I have done this three times now. I have been without a working unit since November 2014. Samsung built a lemon and they could care less about my hardship. I have spent over $800 in service fees and it still is not working. I will never buy another Samsung product again nor will I ever do business with Assurant insurance company again. I recommend you dont either!!!

Same issue as William. Purchased the RFG298HDRS refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer less than one year ago. Recently, noticed the inside of the freezer and all contents were covered with furry frost. Thought door was left open on accident. Noticed instead that the weatherstripping seal was no longer touching the refrigerator when drawer was closed. Took all contents from freezer. Drawer would still not close all the way. Turns out like William above, 1.5 inches thick-1 inch thick solid sheet of ice covering inside of drawer housing- floor of the freezer housing. Took upper freezer drawer out and was able to remove solid sheet of ice in two pieces from bottom of freezer. Now drawer closes fine. This is really an unfortunate situation. I think the water that leaked before we noticed the problem, has ruined the floor. (The flooring wasnt my choice, it was here when we bought the place. Not ideal for a kitchen but what can you do?) At any rate, drawer now easily opens and closes. I will watch for it to become more difficult as time goes on and will add emptying freezer and chipping off sheets of ice to my growing list of things I have to do to accommodate other peoples stupid design flaws.

Then get handed off to someone who will get to the bottom of this and never calls back. Get through to same number, guess what... No record of my call but they will get right on it... Keep asking me to use my extended warranty vs admitting it is a defect. Ice maker completely freezes up, stop working leaks... shorts out the board on the deli drawer... replaced 3 times wont stop making alarm sounds from door... 3 ice makers later still same issue... Repair man said, this fridge keeps us in business. Seal is a joke and repair parts already more than a new fridge but Samsung has paid $0.00 so they dont care. We bought the fridge for the ice maker as our son has severe medical condition and his meds/foods need icing at all times. This just sucks for over $3000.00 refrigerator. Samsung do the right thing and replace this nightmare.

We have tried vinegar and other odor control pods to get rid of the smell to no avail. When the door is open, we can wipe a paper towel along the interior edge and come up with a grey stinky slime. Model RF217ACWP. Bought at Best Buy 2 1/2 years ago. Same water in crisper problems experienced by other Samsung owners. But, also, the paint is peeling off all three the door handles big time! Of course, Best Buy has never heard of anything like this before. Also, Samsung said this was the first they had ever had such a problem and were surprised at our photos. Of course, it is a cosmetic issue and they will do nothing. We are told to purchase new handles and were referred to a parts company who claim they are not part of Samsung. They havent told us the cost. We are thinking removing the handles and taking them to an auto body repair shop to be repainted. Think that will work? It seems with all of the lawyers out there, someone would do a class action against Samsung since it is apparent they are selling a product with a known defect -- the water, freezing issue. Hey, where are the lawyers? Count me with those who WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY SAMSUNG!!!

I would put negative or Zero stars if I could. We are on day 18 with a broken refrigerator and no closer to a resolution. It takes a minimum of 4 days to get a physical service person to arrive and evaluate the problem. In our case it was a severe sealed compressor issue on our refrigerator less than 1 year old and still under factory warranty. After the technician discovered the real problem we waited 3 days for Samsung to determine an exchange was the course of action. 7 Days after that determination we are no closer to getting the exchange we were promised. You would think after the amount of my follow up calls, I could actually reach a person with the ability to simply approve the exchange request. The scripted response is to tell you they will expedite with an email. Horrible service Samsung.

We bought a Samsung French door refrigerator on June 28, 2012. Only a few days after purchase, spots began showing on the stainless steel doors. I called Samsung and read their suggestions online, which was to use a stainless steel cleaner as well as WD 40, but nothing removed the spots. They grew worse until the entire door was covered. I have been completing service requests with Samsung for three months now. Samsung canceled the first two requests and finally sent a Samsung service company to look at our fridge. The service company said they have never seen it before, and that it was most likely a finish defect. Instead of taking care of the issue, Samsung is refusing to replace the doors, stating that it was a cosmetic issue. As you can see by the picture, it is a serious issue on this $2600 piece of crap that Samsung refuses to repair. I own four Samsung TVs and other items, but I will never buy another Samsung product. I not only dont recommend this product, but I also would suggest that you avoid Samsung products altogether. We purchased a dryer with matching washer and have had multiple problems with them. After six technician visits we still dont have a fully working washer or dryer and to make things worse they have told us we need to pay if we want another technician visit. I sent the following email to Samsungs supposed executive customer relations department as well as directly to the Samsung US CEO, it was completely ignored by them.Up until just recently I have been a huge fan of Samsung products. I have owned or currently own monitors, mobile phones, washers, dryers, and TVs. I have been a loyal customer but my most recent purchase has me awestruck. About four months ago we purchased a SmartCare VRT laundry set. The day after it was installed we woke to find our home with a strong smell of gas. I determined it was coming from the laundry room and suspected the laundry appliance installation was at fault. We called Samsung for service and a technician was sent out. The technician investigated the gas leak and informed me that the gas lines to our new home were leaking and not one of the Samsung appliances. I called the gas company and when they arrived they found that there was a gas leak, but it wasn’t in the house lines. It was coming from the dryer. We called Samsung a second time. When the technician performed the second appointment he acknowledged that the dryer was leaking and scheduled another appointment to replace the faulty part. Three visits from the Samsung technician and finally we get a working dryer after two weeks. A few months later my wife started complaining about the washer stopping and throwing an error in the middle of hot water loads. After it happened a few times I told her to call Samsung for repair. The technician came out and spent about thirty minutes with the washer. He eventually called me in and told me that it has hot water and that there wasn’t much he could do. I informed the technician that when my wife pointed out the issue I recalled an error message “4C” being displayed when the wash would stop functioning and constantly beep with the error message. After basically living with a washer that won’t use hot water cycles for a couple of weeks my wife noticed that the dryer wasn’t drying clothes normally. We called Samsung again and informed them that our washer was still malfunctioning and now the dryer was not working well either. This time before the appointment I spent a couple of hours recording video on my phone of the 4C error and erratic behavior of the washer. The next day the technician arrived and spent about fifteen minutes with the dryer. The technician informed me that we shouldn’t use specific features (smart features like auto dry) on our dryer and that we should use timed dry. I was told that although the dryer had some warmth that there is heat so the dryer is working fine but at no time did the technician check the temperature with, how does he know if it’s getting up to proper temperature? Yeah, the dryer gets warm but not hot, in fact not even close to hot. When I mentioned the washer and show the technician the video of the malfunction, I was told it wasn’t on the work order and even though we called for service for it and had video of the malfunction that it could not be looked at because it wasn’t on the service order. Tonight, I followed the technician’s instructions and used the time dry to dry a handful of clothes. After one hour the clothes on high heat with eco dry turned off the clothes were still quite wet. The dryer clearly doesn’t work as it did a month ago. The technician also recommended cleaning our ducts but seriously it’s a six-month-old home and my wife does maybe three loads a week for two people, so the equipment is hardly being overworked much less should I have a duct problem. I also noticed that my wife is very good about cleaning the dryer lint catcher. She does it every load from what I see. I hate to ramble on but as you can see this has been nothing less than an adventure and a complete waste of my time not to mention the time off from work involved in six technician visits that didn’t result in our appliances being fixed. I recently posted all this information to the Samsung Facebook page and it was completely ignored for a week which is simply insulting at this point.

Very good fridge/freezer except that it has expensive water filters and since purchase, the water was not draining properly and evaporating in the drip pan. Water turns to ice until it fills up toward the front of the fridge and then overflows out the front and onto the kitchen floor. Samsung seems to accept no responsibility for this very common flaw with the side by side fridge with bottom drawer freezer. All over Youtube but requires disassembling back portion of fridge to fix drain clogging. Not sure if it is a final fix for the problem.

Samsung Refrigerator Model RF268ABPN delivered from Best Buy on 14 May 2010
Samsung Refrigerator Model RF268ABPN delivered from Best Buy on 14 May 2010. Display malfunctioned on 22 Feb 2012. Display for ice maker on/off, dispenser display lights are erroneous and show locked for water, nothing for crushed ice, and the Fahrenheit symbol constantly displays. Ice maker control displays are constantly showing off. On 29 Feb 2012, the freezer ice maker is noted as not working.1 Mar 2012, Samsung support contacted. The support tech doesnt comprehend the spoken word as spoken. Multiple attempts were made before tech could comprehend the word malfunctioning and erroneous display. I was advised to make sure the water valve in the wall was on, despite not having one. I was advised to reset the ice maker, which was done, and then was told to make sure the control shows ice maker not locked, which cant be done with piece of crap Chinese display that is malfunctioning. I was advised that the water filter might be clogged, despite good flow from the dispenser. The tech was obviously reading off a check list, and has no clue.I was informed that the warranty is only 1 year, but they would contact a repair tech if I would have to pay for myself. One year? Seriously? We handed out $1,800.00 for a fridge with a one year warranty, that is essentially useless after less than two years. If the repair bill is over $300, its going in the dump. I am done with Samsung and their Chinese made trash period. I get better service, support and warranty out of a pair of $100 boots.

DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG! I ignored all the bad reviews and now Im writing one. Had our Samsung electric range delivered around 1/15/2016. Cooked dinner the other night and noticed a small chip in the surface of the burner. Called Samsung and the woman said it was not covered by the one year warranty. She claims any chips or cracks in the surface are product damage and whether intentional or unintentional, its not covered. This is a manufacturers defect. Ive been using electric ranges my entire life and never had one crack from normal use. I use this range for 2 months and the surface cracks. No matter how you look at it, this is damage caused by a product defect. Luckily Lowes informed me I can return it. Moving on to another brand and will NEVER buy another Samsung product again.

I purchased a Samsung gas stove in September 2020. In January of 2021 my wife and I noticed that the paint and clear coat was chipping off of the stove. I called Samsung to let them know about the problem and after a week and a half of playing phone tag a representative of the company informed me that the chipping paint is NOT covered under the warranty. Now we purchased the extended warranty and still had PLENTY of warranty left but in order for Samsung to fix the paint chipping we would have to PAY for the work. My recommendation is to NOT buy anything from Samsung unless you would like to pay $1300 for a black stainless steel stove only for it to have a 1” paint chip missing after 4 months.

January 3, 2015 I purchased a scratch and dent Samsung french door refrigerator with ice maker in the freezer unit. It came with a 1yr. warranty from Samsung and I purchased a 5yr. warranty from Lowes. It was delivered and installed by Lowes on January 6, 2015. It started to produce ice and it produced half a gallon bag of ice and then quit. We went through the manual which gave us no direction. I turned off the ice maker so that it would not burn up. I called Samsung January 9, 2015. They walked me through the troubleshooting and told me that because the ice maker was turned off, I had to wait 48 hrs. for service. They called me back on January 12, 2015 and again a different associate walked me through the same trouble shooting process but added a twist, which was the rollers where touching the floor and therefore Lowes had to come back out and give the refrigerator a 2 inch tilt. That seems ridiculous however we jumped through the hoops. I went on live chat with Samsung January 15,2015 and again that associate was going through the same trouble shooting process. Really, does anyone do service anymore? I let him know that it is unacceptable to have a refrigerator only one week old. With full warranty and not be able to get it serviced. Very unhappy with Samsung and will never buy another appliance from them.

We redid our kitchen and bought all new appliances. We bought Samsung fridge stove and microwave. From the time we used the stove it has made a loud clicking sound as it heats up. We phoned Samsung and after many calls and a lot of time on hold a repair company phoned me and told me it was the relay and that was normal for a Samsung. If I had known that this oven would make this much noise I would not have bought it.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in 2013 from Lowes. Initially it worked fairly well, however, just like everyone else that has purchased this model, error codes such as E9 started in less than 6 months of use. I watched the videos online and can now take it apart like a professional. Now it is broken again, in a new and inventive way. The rubber parts inside have become soft and need to be replaced. I hope that is the only problem, but doubt it. I purchased this model because it was highly rated as quiet. Yes, it is quiet, especially when it doesnt work.

I will never buy a SAMSUNG appliance ever again. I purchased a refrigerator. So I wound up with a lemon. I have spoken to at least 6 or 7 different people the ones that have not resolved any of my issues with the fridge...I even asked to speak to a supervisor and they told me that there was no one available. My freezer was making a horrible sound and the refrigerator part is not cooling properly. I keep getting a run around and no one can give me a straight answer. It is horrible. I paid over a $1,000 for this not even a year ago. They are liars and rude and their customer service people dont know what the hell theyre doing. I hate them very BAD BAD BAD!!! I bought a Samsung Refrigerator model RFG298HD from Lowes (French Doors) around $3,000.00. We had our first flood from the ice maker at 3:00 in the morning (How much fun is that?). To have a company come out and dry me out, it took them a few days to get someone out for the repair. It was like pulling a teeth to get reimbursed (with pictures). They replaced my ice maker. It was shot and less than one year and 4 months later, on 9/7/12 it flooded my house again. We called and they claimed that someone will call us, but still no luck until 9/11/12 at 10:30 at night. I guess they want to replace my floor and fridge. If anyone is looking to start up a class action, count me in. The customer service sucks!

Samsung dishwasher dw80f800uws purchased 2/14 stopped working and emitted an error code on 3/25/16. (Note, 2 days before my Easter brunch). Samsung service center called and I went over error code and how that didnt seem to be the problem. I was told my best bet would be to buy a $300 service extended warranty, which I did, and they would contact a local approved appliance repair company and have them contact me. The service call provided no answer as he also found nothing that related to the error code. He returned another time to vacuum out the stale water (smells awful inside now) and said he will order every part that it might take to fix and it could be as long as 2 months. I smiled and said no way. He replied Oh yes. There are at least nine other customers waiting on parts I was later told. I was shocked- never have I ever had to wait that long for any appliance repair in all my years. As an avid cook and baker I am beyond frustrated. I am currently shopping a replacement and wish I never purchased the service warranty. Is this the norm for Samsung across the nation? What poor customer service after the purchase.

Model # RF260BEAESR/AA -- do not buy this product...ever! Left French door assembly/gasket has broken and literally fell off twice. As it is a little over 2 years old, it is no longer under warranty, therefore Lowes has offered me nothing but rudeness and ridiculous hold times. The end result is that Samsung had to be called directly. After repeated phone calls and hours of my life that I can no longer get back, its going to cost me ANOTHER 300.00 to replace the same part. Samsungs customer support is deplorable. They have essentially offered me nothing. After the tech completes this repair my total repair/loss cost will be almost 1,000.00, and I will still have the same horrible appliance that will undoubtedly need the same repair months from now. Samsung has refused to even pay for the diagnostic tech appointment (another 90.00 to tell me what I already know) or parts, or labor. Apparently when you buy a Samsung appliance you are entirely responsible for obvious factory defects and they will assist with nothing...ever. In speaking with a few Samsung-certified technicians, they have informed me that not only do most customers have this disappointing experience but their own technicians cannot get the support they need to provide the necessary service!!! Samsung customer service # is 1-800-726-7864. I plan on calling them all day, everyday, until I die. You should too!!! We cannot keep accepting lousy products and service!

This is the Chefs collection dishwasher. It washes dirty dishes very well, but it doesnt dry them very well at all. I mean there is plenty of water left on dishes after a load, and that is with the DRY+ and Sanitize options on. Many options on this unit, boost certain zones, a flex tray on the top, more than a few load options, but whats the use if your dishes are not dry. Handles a lot of dishes at one time and better organization. Stainless steel outside and inside. I should have done more research before purchasing this unit. If you have the latest technology dishwasher out there, you would expect it to perform like one. This one did not.

Updated on 01/25/2019: Wow. I cannot believe that Best Buy still carries this garbage, they are going to ruin their own reputation with this crap in their stores. Samsung creates crap appliances, crap. We have had a repairman out to fix the fan. He spent hours defrosting it, did nothing in the end, and charged over $200. The fan is already a few weeks later buzzing so loudly and is frozen up, again. (Told that this is pretty typical)After emailing the repairman multiple times, calling and getting a voicemail that is just random talking and not an actual voicemail message, the voicemail was full. We called Samsung directly after this experience and they advised we get in contact with the repairman to resolve the problem. THANKS. We are out of warranty of course, so they do nothing. Absolutely nothing. We accelerated to the manager or whatever who was a woman in a call center out of the Dominican Republic. She had no advice other than to call another repairman. I will never buy Samsung anything ever again, I will not say good things about them, and I will tell anyone and everyone I know to never ever buy Samsung appliances. NEVER.Original Review: I am so displeased with EVERY Samsung appliances we purchased. The fridge being the absolute worst, it’s been just barely a year and we already have a fan blown, not creating ice and who knows what that loud buzzing was that has quit working. They look great but they are not worth the price paid. Don’t bother, get the brands who know what they are doing.

We definitely bought a lemon. We have found that PA has a lemon law and we are checking into that avenue. Samsung is horrible! I purchased a Samsung Bottom Mount Freezer in April of 2010 from Sears. I was told that it was rated five stars by Consumer Reports. Best fridge out there for my price range, according to the sales guy. In August of 2011, my freezer section was heating up. To make a long story short, Samsung told me to deal with it since it has a one year warranty and they dont know how long their appliances last. I called every repair man in my area but no one will work on Samsung because they are so hard to deal with and get parts for.I ended up with Sears Home Appliance Repair. They are the only ones willing to work on this product. Three weeks later and $500.00 worth of meat spoiled, I get the guy to my house only to find out that my condenser and compressor are broken and heating up. Did I mention that I was also getting water in the fridge part under the cold cut drawer, which apparently was caused by a clogged drain line? Really. How does all this happen to a brand new fridge? It takes two weeks to get my parts only to find out that they were already broken when I received them.Another two weeks later, my fridge parts come in. Get this. The freezer section caught on fire as soon as the parts were put in by their certified technician. He soldered through my firewall and burnt out the whole bottom of my freezer. I am told that Samsung and/or Sears will replace the unit for free and that the fridge section is okay to use since the repairman took out all the bad parts. Two days later, the fridge caught on fire again. Luckily, I was home to throw it out my front door at 8 oclock on a Sunday night. My house smells like smoke, all my food is destroyed, and the service woman on the phone had the ** to tell me that I should be grateful that I was offered $500.00 in a voucher to Sears towards a new appliance since their service man did not want to do the job anyway. It took me six days of nonstop phone calls to customer service to get my money back--a full refund. If I did not take three hours a day out of my life to hound every person, I would still be waiting for those people to review my case. All I expect is a product that works longer than one year, is that so bad? And if, for some reason, beyond my control, that appliance stops working, is it wrong to ask for a fair treatment and a full refund to replace it? I had to work hard to get these Customer Service people to treat me like I was a customer. My advice is do not give up. Make them see that they cant keep doing this and get away with it.I am done with any Samsung appliance and I am done with shopping at Sears. They are unfair, rude and thieves. I am happy to get my money back so I can go buy a Frigidaire. They cost a little more but they work. I was fooled by the fancy lights and options. Now, I am going back to simple clean and reliable. Dont buy Samsung. If I wasnt home, what would have happened to my house when the fridge caught on fire? Buyers, beware! They dont care about you; they care about your money!

If you are considering purchasing a Samsung dishwasher, DONT. If you spend a penny on a Samsung dishwasher, its a penny too much, you might as well throw that money in the garbage. I am pro Samsung for many things, we own several Samsung TVs, phones, washer, dryer, fridge, stove, microwave, DVD players and I am happy with every one of those products, but the dishwasher is another story. The racking system is horrible, so your dishes dont fit properly, they dont stay in place. We have tried every possible layout and nothing works good. No exaggerating, 90% of the dishes come out dirty, especially the top rack items. Drinking glasses, coffee mugs, etc NEVER EVER come out clean. They always have crumb like substances dried into them, requiring us to then soak the glasses in the sink for a while to try to loosen the residue enough for me to clean them. And dont waste your time writing their customer services, because its a total waste of your time. And yes, we take very good care of our appliances, and clean out the drain, the sprayer, everything they recommend and it doesnt do a stitch of good. My best advice, go with another brand for a dishwasher.

We purchased the dishwasher 1 year ago. From the very beginning this design gave us issues. We called C/S Repair Dept & was told the water wall does not go back to original spot, it auto stops when sensor senses wash complete. Not True!!! April 2016. Dirty dishes, repaired 4 times, motor water electrical leak 3 times. Called Samsung. Was told we could purchase an extended warranty. We told the rep we had problems from the beginning, and for the last several months we have not been able to use the dishwasher. Transferred to multiple reps!!! We are told you can purchase an extended warranty. The first repair company was fired by Samsung, new service company came out 2 times to repair the motor water leak. They came out the 2nd time. Advised they did not seal the motor inside & under the motor. We were told to allow 24 hours for the silicone to dry. We gave it 3 days with the dishwasher door open. Hoping the issue was resolved we ran a load. After 40+ minutes we got the LC* warning light. This indicated water to electric leak, its recommended to shut off circuit to the unit to prevent further damage or fire. Today is Sunday 8-1-16, I will contact Samsung on Monday and the service repair company. I do not expect a resolution. I expect to be told you are out of warranty, purchase an extended warranty or we are unacceptable to help you! BUYERS BEWARE.

Less about the cost, which isnt small, but companys lack of concern or integrity.

Within a few months had issues with the brand new dishwasher. First off it wouldnt latch right, so it wouldnt start. Repairman even said in the future to get a model with a latch you turn and lock yourself. It was under warranty, guy came out about four days later and fixed that. When he left and we ran a cycle, suddenly it wouldnt drain. Guy came out again a few days later, took a look and said it needed a new computer board. They mailed it to my house. Took over a week. After not being able to get the guy to the house, he missed an appointment then showed up the next day while I was at work, we put it in ourselves (Almost 3 weeks, over 2 weeks with water in the bottom of the dishwasher that even with baking soda etc, was starting to stink up the kitchen!). Worked ok for about 8 months. Now it seems like it needs another computer board because it isnt drying the dishes. Its only 18 months old!

Like most of the respondents here, I will never consider the purchase of another Samsung product. Unfortunately in our current age, we are all well aware that companies simply dont have our best interests in mind. Samsung, however, rises to new levels of bureaucratic road blocks to service. More importantly is the fact they not only obscure what has transpired and been discussed previously, but just bold faced lie about they have or have not said.We purchased a large black side-by-side refrigerator in April of 2011. We have had more or less constant problems ever since (as mentioned elsewhere, the ice maker is a nightmare). We finally gave up on ever getting any service from Samsung. They have 2 certified repairmen in Hawaii (many repair services are qualified, but not certified, which means they cant perform warranty service). The demise of the refrigerator and our relationship with Samsung began its culmination last year when we had to pay out of pocket to replace the Motherboard, $400.00. Them 3 weeks ago the freezer stopped working. I got my previous non-certified repairman to check it out. He said the compressor had died. The good news is that its covered under warranty and most manufacturers will just refund some portion of the purchase price. After getting a hold of Samsung, I was told they would get a repair person out in 2 weeks (**). 3 days later, the refrigerator component also ceased working. I called Samsung back and demanded to be connected with the next level of service. This time I was told that they agree the wait was unacceptable and I would be refunded a portion of the purchase price. Oh, and by the way, despite the fact that I had previously been assured that the repair company (an 800 service) would have the necessary parts when they arrived, they had not in fact ordered any parts! In case youre wondering about the refund, they now contend that that option had never been discussed (**).So not only was I told that it would be 2 weeks to get a repair person out, but they would then have to order parts. I live in Hawaii, so its a foregone conclusion that the wait for those parts will be inordinate. After stewing about this for several days, I again contacted Samsung and this time I was informed that I had been informed that the repairs would not be covered by Samsung because it was out of warranty. I emphatically stated that no such thing had ever been discussed! The compressor is covered for 5 years. They eventually agreed that the compressor was still covered, then they hemmed and hawed, but in the end I was left without a working refrigerator and a many month repair process, if at all. Bottom line folks, avoid all Samsung products like the plague. I wish I had read these comments before I considered my purchase!

We purchased a counter depth refrigerator back on 2012. We have had nothing but problems with the ice maker and switch to dispense ice since we had it. Not only did we spend a lot for this refrigerator, we have continued to have to sink money into it to keep it working. Then we bought the $500 over the range microwave. Bad move!!! After having for one year, the number buttons on the front became hard to work. Now we have 2 numbers that wont work at all. But of course they are telling me that they dont cover this under the warranty. What good it the microwave if you cannot program in the time to cook??We also bought the induction range. I hope this holds up. We will never ever buy from Samsung again and will also advise all family and friends of our bad experience. My sister also had same issues with her Samsung refrigerator. Samsung might make good TVs but their kitchen appliances are a piece of junk and they do not care how much you spend on them, they will not cover repairing a function like the number buttons! Unacceptable!!

Its designed to help the water evaporate, and it supposed to stay wet in the inside. I explained to the representative that I was using rinse aid. She said but the dishwasher has to get use to it. I bought a Samsung refrigerator in February of 2007. In 2009, it froze up under the plastic wall in the back, making it impossible to close the door. I paid a repairman $200.00 to come and fix it. He put on a new thermostat, cleaned the coils, defrosted everything and put it back together. 1 year later I had to call him back because it did exactly the same thing. Another $150.00. Then in March it did it again. I called a different repairman, thinking he might be able to truly fix the issue, and he told me straight up that Samsung refrigerators have one fan for freezer and fridge. Its a bad plan, it doesnt work and you cant fix it. Lucky me. Well, it happened to me again today, so, now every 2 to 6 months I have to take my fridge apart, defrost it and put it back together. Its a great plan and Samsung is of no help at all. Too bad so sad, but I wont be buying ANYTHING Samsung again... EVER! Ive posted on FB and continue to tell all of my friends what crap they sell.

We too bought a Samsung RF266ABRS/XAA - this is a French door, bottom mount fridge in September 2009. Though I have been happy with the design, mechanically this system is problematic. We have consistently had issue with the water pooling/freezing under the deli drawer. The Twin Cooling panel on the inside/rear of the unit was replaced in 2011 and now again in 2013. Our service rep told us the unit has a design flaw in the way it seals. Both times have been out of our pocket though I will be pulling my warranty information as it sounds as though another writer says it MIGHT be covered under a 5 year warranty for the Twin Cooling system. I wont even THINK about another SAMSUNG and will be careful to ascertain if the next brand is manufactured by the same outfit. Oh yes, this time our ice maker went out as well.

We purchased a RF32FMQDBXW Refrigerator French 4 Door 2/15/14 brand new and registered it with Samsung, which we had a 1 year purchase warranty and advise them of who we bought it from new. And if they were not authorized, we didnt know it at the time with the vendor at purchase time or with Samsung when we gave them the registration information for the warranty. After 6 months of having it, the ice maker stop working. We called and had repair person come. Well the repair called my husband instead of coming and told him what the issue was and my husband fixed the issue and Samsung sent us the part. Well after receiving so, my extended warranty request from Samsung Protection Plus department, I finally accepted the partial payment terms for 4 payments on 12/9/14. On 3/5/15 we realized the 2 top boxes were not getting cool. Called the extended warranty and they had us call a authorized repair company to come out. The repair guy worked on it for about 1 hour and advises he would come back to see if the refrigerator temp would go down as it had been at 48, spoiling all things in the refrigerator. The repair came back around 3 and advises that he will have to call warranty because the refrigerator had to be replaced because it cant be repaired in USA and to allow 48 hours for the report to show since it was on a Friday, and was given a 700 which was to be a Urgent code #. We called to just make sure every had our information on 3/6/15.We received several calls, there we faxed and emailed receipts of purchase and was told to check back on Monday the 9th. My husband spoke to 7 different people and received 4 different ticket #s from 3/9 to 3/11. When 3 of the persons stated we would receive a refund and that someone would call back with details after verify proof of purchase 3 times. My husband called around 6 pm central time and spoke to another rep from Samsung who stated she didnt see a refund, she need to do another verification and that after reviewing the account, because we didnt buy it from a authorized dealer, they cant honor anything very RUDELY. We are without a Refrigerator and now you tell us this over a year or more, they have known who and where to purchase the refrigerator. Everything appliance in our home is Samsung, never again. I will be looking to inquire about starting a CLASS ACTION suit.

I bought a Samsung french door refrigerator two months ago on 5-22-2015. I noticed yesterday that the SAMSUNG letters on the front of the refrigerator were beginning to peel off. I emailed a complaint and got a call from customer service today. They claim this is physical damage and not covered by the warranty. I explained to the representative that I have been using a 3M stainless steel appliance cleaner with a microfiber cloth and there had not been any abuse to cause this to happen. She transferred me to a more senior representative who made the same claim. This is ridiculous!!! For $3,500, you would think you would not have to defrost the area of the ice maker. It works like the cheapest brand in the store. On March 15, 2013 we bought a Samsung French Door Smart Refrigerator (model # RF263BEAEWW/AA) from Home Depot, along with a 5-yr extended warranty. The ice maker was a little loud, but we could live with it. It was the perfect size, and had everything we needed. One yr and 10 months after we bought it, it stopped working on Dec. 23. There is only 2 people in our household, so it was not like someone was in and out of the refrigerator all day. On Dec. 29 the repairman came out and he said we needed a new compressor and he had to order the part. On Jan 12 the repairman returned with the compressor, but then said the freon had leaked out (which he could have found if he had brought the proper tools on the 1st visit) and as a result had spewed oil into all the coils and now everything had to be replaced, and he needed to order the parts! On Jan 16, we were told the parts would be in on Jan. 20..but by Jan. 30 they had not come in and we were told they were on back order. At this point, we had been without a refrigerator for ONE month! Home Depot finally reimbursed us for the cost of what we paid for the refrigerator, but it wasnt enough to cover a like model, in another brand. Once we knew the refrigerator could not be fixed, we wanted to return 2 Samsung water filters we had bought last year, to the cost of $154.00. The boxes have never been opened, but when I called Samsung parts representative, J & J International, they said they were unreturnable. Apparently, you only have 30 days to return parts, even if unopened! I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again. Buyer beware, their products get good reviews, but if anything happens, it is impossible to get parts or any customer satisfaction!!

Like many dissatisfied and cheated people... My parents range top cracked with a loud noise last night (while everyone was in another room of the house) breaking the stove top, literally just a month after the one year warranty expired. This is ridiculous! That a company can get away with this! Hundreds of dollars down the drain and now they are forced to purchase a new one!? Or perhaps replace the specific part for two hundred dollars and just hope it doesnt just keep happening? Which clearly it will with all of the people having similar experiences. The previous oven they had lasted my parents 20 years! Whats worse is that they purchased a matching Samsung washer, dryer, and microwave. Who knows when those are gonna break or blow up? As of right now I plan to contact an attorney, this is happening to way too many people for Samsung to not do a better job of helping. Why are these appliances still being sold to people??? We bought ours at Best Buy who of course are more than happy to take their money for another oven. My parents are older and they arent gonna get online and research this stuff. So sad, that companies can take advantage of people like this. It has to stop! It broke my heart to see my dad trying to figure out what went wrong with this damn thing last night.

After reading Consumers Report Magazine and choosing the top rated products, we went to Best Buy and purchased all three appliances at once. The Oven started smoking (first time used), filled the house with toxic smoke, burnt my ladys face. The microwave exhaust fan never turned on. All this happened within the first time we used the oven. The side by side refrigerator started leaking water and wont stop leaking (water dispenser). Samsung sent out repairman for the range-oven, ordered parts then came back out to finish repairs, tried to use oven again, oven went up in smoke again. SoCalGas Co. came out and RED-tagged the Range-Oven. So far Samsung has blamed us for all the problems. We had to hire an attorney to handle this mess. Samsung has problems with their phones, washing machines, ranges, microwaves, and refrigerators. I wonder whats next?

We purchased a Samsung RF24FSEDBSR in 2016, built April 2015. 4 door model so that the cold cuts and handy things are in a middle drawer. Great features, and electronic controls provide good feedback that all is working. Bright interior LEDs. Ice maker and water dispenser. The functions and features sold it for us. Within months, the door shelves were cracking. We are not abusive, just placing milk. The plastic is brittle. The shelf bottom will crack and the tabs that hold the door can come apart, which drops it on the floor. Had to buy two new shelves. I bought Styrene plastic sheets from a hobby store, cut and sandwiched them to the drawers in weak areas (using MEK), for reinforcement which solved that issue. Never experienced such poor plastic (HIPS) in a $2000 appliance... or even a $500 unit.At about 3 years old, the fridge starts to buzz inside, and ice is visible in the interior back panel. Ice is encroaching on the evaporator fan. I removed the back panel to access the evaporator coil. Solid ice in the upper half of the coil. As if the defrost heater doesnt work. In fact, the defrost heater does work. Could not find any fault in the defrost thermo-disk, and all temperature sensors measured OK. Heater works too (120 Ohms). Changed the defrost thermo-disk anyway and really defrosted and dried out the cover using a hair dryer. Fridge ran fine for 8 months. Repeat. Turns out the defroster only takes care of the lower half of the evaporator coil! Design flaw. Once you start hearing the fan buzzing, the ice is building in the upper half of the evaporator coil. Once the fan gets stopped, everything including the styrofoam turns into a block of ice. You can thaw out the styrofoam and remove the ice. Or replace that back cover and styrofoam until another humid time when it will freeze up again (design flaw). Ive now defrosted it manually about 6 or 7 times, using every opportunity to measure and determine why this is happening. Ive checked all on-line videos and advice to solve these freeze up issues and attempted those that make sense (cause-effect). I have a power datalogger monitoring the fridge electrical consumption so I can evaluate how often and for how long it defrosts. Taken it on as a riddle.I did contact Samsung early in this process. They sounded concerned, but when the customer service rep check with their manager, they stated I must have been abusive to cause plastic to crack. No warranty. Yeah right. Im gluing everything together. Today, another roller wheel broke off... glued it back on. The freeze issues started right after warranty. Glad I can trouble shoot and fix myself, else the cost would be crazy. Now Im looking at modifications to prevent the evap coil from freezing up again. Whether you are a technical person or not... its not worth the trouble.... Dont let Samsung glitz sucker you in! It is a lemon. Wife hates it too.

If the part were even available it would cost me $389.00 to replace/repair but after reading all the horrible reviews and money spent trying to repair the fridge it may be wise just to trash it and buy a GE or Whirlpool that can at least be repaired if needed. Not happy that Lowes would sell a product that clearly has major issues.

Problems from the start and are with both ovens either separate or together
Problems from the start and are with both ovens either separate or together in convection. After 4 visits and some part changes, there is no change. I did a few extensive digital and analog temperature tests to document that: 1) The initial at temperature beep is usually close but then over time, the temp drifts down to over 100 degrees F below where it should be. 2) When I restart the oven because its too cool, the oven display confirms the low temperature I measured. 3) As the oven restart, the convection fan or fans blow such hot air the food in the middle of the oven that the food is burnt to black while food not in the center or on different racks is not burnt. 4) The restart temperature once the beep sounds is accurate. 5) The convection fans are always blowing the hottest air straight out the middle. Not circulating the air around or reversing fan direction once and a while. So a blowtorch on food in the middle of the oven. From reading web forums, cnet in particular, seems like all of these Samsung ovens do pretty much the same thing. Seems like a programming problem in the firmware. Resolution is under review by Samsung. But do I even want another fix or a replacement? No. I want a refund and Ill buy a different brand.

I have had the Samsung SMH9187ST microwave for just over 3 years now. Yesterday I got the SE error code. Tried unplugging and recycling which did not work to clear the code. This sounds like it is a very common problem with these microwaves due to moisture. An over the stove microwave should be designed to handle being over the stove. What a load of crap. I will try fixing this myself and then calling Samsung to try to get them to repair this at no expense to me. I have a Samsung fridge as well and have had no issues with it.

Never purchase a Samsung Range!!! - Ours broke a week after we had it. - Was repaired and since then it has broke 5 more time. Each time it was repaired except the current breakdown that has the range out of service for 10 days so far and no call backs from SEARS Service Department despite repeated calls with our new claim number. We have 8 months left on the extended warranty and are looking at replacing the range after just having it for under 3 years as this range is very poor quality - Samsung should stick to making TVs. Very disappointed in the service from Samsung and SEARS where we purchased this unit from.

I had purchased a Samsung French Door fridge 5 years ago as it was the only model at the time that would fit in my small kitchen (17 cu ft model). As many reported, from the start, the ice maker freezes ice cubes together in the bin and cleanups are frequent. Secondly, the finish on the door handles (mine are white) just flakes off. I was told they would be over $80 to replace each one. I could live with those issues, however, my fridge developed the same water issue others noted. It collects under the crispers, freezes and makes a mess. I noted online this is a common issue and there are YouTube videos on how to repair yourself. Why must I do that??? Samsung knows of the major DEFECT in their products and one would think a recall would have been issued but basically tough luck.To others reading this, a cheap temporary fix for the water issue: Head to a local Dollar Store and purchase plenty of those drying cloths for cars in their auto section (they resemble camos). I placed one under each crisper and they absorb the water which freezes in them (and keeps out of your crispers). After a few days just remove, run under hot water, ring out and replace. Prepare to do that often until you fix this excuse of an appliance or replace it. I am going to junk this thing soon and replace with a Kenmore.

This has got to be the worse oven range I have ever had. It doesnt heat to the right temperature. Called service in and they replaced the circuit board to the stove and it still doesnt heat to the right temperature. The service guy says, Well, thats all we can do. So I guess I out of luck. Not much use in calling Samsung because they just give you the runaround. NEVER going to buy another Samsung product in my life, EVER the worse. Dont buy their products.
