I bought a Samsung refrigerator a year ago. I started to notice the temperature will rise in the freezer then drop causing food to sweat and frost over causing ice to stick together and not go through the icemaker. Called Samsung multiple times and got the runaround from one department to another department never heard back. The ice cubes are so big they get stock in the opening and fails to fall into the cup. Because the temperature fluctuates ice cubes sweat stick together when the temperature drops again now theyre too big to fall through the opening so youre constantly taking the icemaker tray out breaking up the ice. This refrigerator has made me so sick that Im buying a new one and Im going to donate this one to the goodwill. Its better than nothing for someone who needs a refrigerator.

I spent a fortune on this dud of a refrigerator. If Samsung would spend a little more attention on their refrigerators and not their TVs, this would not be happening. I have had to throw out food all the time. To make matters worse I am a Type 1 Diabetic and all my insulin went bad twice. It cost a fortune to replace. I cant afford to buy a refrigerator and I have to drive 20 min from my home where I have my insulin and food, thankfully to a good friend.

My review is the ** customer service I have received from Samsung. I purchase a refrigerator from Lowes and had it only about three months when the ice maker messed up. I filed a claim with Samsung and they were supposed to send the part to fix it. It has now been four months and I have gotten no part. And when I call, I get the run-around. I have emailed and get the run-around also. I regret buying it because its poor customer service and poor business. I will make complaints to as many places as possible. I had even bought the 5-year extended warranty, but I cant even get it taken care of under the first year so I dont know how thats all going to work. I will not buy another Samsung product. I just wish I would have known all this before I bought the fridge, washer and dryer from them.

RSG257AARS/XAA - I purchased my Samsung side by side refrigerator in 2012 and the ice maker has given me trouble numerous times over that period. This last time, it would only make a tray of ice if I hit the reset button. I was told I would need to call a repairman. The service call was $79 and the part will cost $207 and will not be available for a week. I will not buy another Samsung product.

Bought my refrigerator model rb195acbp/xaa about 3 yrs ago. When I got it the ice maker scare the soul out of us. Extremely loud. Recently it stopped cooling from freezer and regular fridge compartment. Lost about 120 worth in groceries. They sent in a tech to fix it. Worked for a week or less and lost again about 80 dollars worth of groceries. Called them again. They said I have to pay about 120 for a tech to stop by. I cant believe this. I was a Samsung buyer. Bought Samsung cell phones. I have bought about $5,000 worth on brand new tvs and now I get this. Looking at all these reviews I guess Im not the only one having issues. Really Samsung... Never buying a Samsung product again...

I bought this fridge on May 31, 2010. The fridge freezes up, and the icemaker wont work; error codes that wont reset and Lowe’s can’t do anything about it. As far as Samsung customer service, good luck! Nobody answers. Also, I bought a Samsung Washer and Dryer. I already had to replace the heating element and it’s not even two years old. I bought the Samsung Microwave brand new at Costco when we built our new home. We are barely two years and the control panel has gone out of it. Were now experiencing the dreaded locked keypad with an SE error code, turning on in the middle of the night. Its past its warranty period. Never had a higher end appliance ever die that quickly. This is obviously a problem with this product as there are 70 complaints on here with the same issue. Something should be done as repair costs are the same amount as the microwave.

Two years into our ownership of this microwave (SMH9187WXAA), we are working on the third control panel. It is a known issue, common to this model microwave. Tens of thousands of these control panels all over the country (I dare say world) are being replaced every year. The tech who replaced the first panel was on his eighth that day; yesterdays tech who replaced the second panel was on his third. Samsung refuses to either replace my microwave or extend my warranty. How does one deal with an issue such as this? The microwave has a known and very widespread defect. That means it does not serve the purpose for which it was designed, and I purchased it. If I did that in my business, the Feds would be on my case. Who is pursuing Samsung in this case? Not Consumer Reports, who rated this microwave a Best Buy. I will be buying no more Samsung or General Electric appliances (Samsung makes many of GEs appliances, esp. their refrigerators).

Updated on 06/16/2019: Well, hello folks! It’s been a couple of years since I last posted. Still the same old fridge complaints. The repair guy has been here at least 4 more times since 2017. Same repairs, circuit boards, etc. THIS time he said Non-Repairable! But it’s ok, the company said they would send a check for 800 dollars. Seems they subtract the prior repairs from your purchase price!! How clever!! Which means the extended warranty is a joke! Hey!! Guess what! I paid a lot more than $800! I now am so sick of Samsung, that I will never, never again be so foolish. Btw the Samsung microwave has been just as bad. This has got to stop. These companies are not concerned about longevity, just sales. I’m ashamed of them.Original Review: Well, fridge is blowing the circuit breaker again. 2nd time in less than 2 yrs. Took 2 mos. the first time to get it fixed, wonder how long this time? H. H. Gregg in Cincinnati is now out of business, although they wasnt much help in the first place, and ext. warranty is dragging their feet again. All brand new appliances after we got our new house, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer, etc. controls on the stove never have worked right. Anything below 3 on the burners may work, may not. I wish I just had a fridge that cooled, let alone the icemaker working. Supposedly a couple circuit boards went bad the 1st time, and its doing the same thing this time. So we are patiently waiting for a serviceman to call back, meantime living out of a couple of coolers. BUYING SAMSUNG WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT the BIGGEST MISTAKE OF OUR LIVES!!! This company doesnt care about ANYTHING, except selling you a bill of goods! Well, they sold me once, but NEVER again. I thought they were a good company. Apparently not.

Hate the stove, definitely not worth the price. GE products far surpass. I have had nothing but problems! Like everyone else you cant keep the ceramic top clean or free of blemishes if you try to polish it, it will permanently take the shine off. The oven is off by 25 degrees and had to be recalibrated - why do I need to play tech. Mind you, I live alone and barely cook the other day opened the door there was one screw missing on the hinge and all the rest were loose. Spent hours on the phone. They explained it was out of warranty so sad too bad! Who would ever think to check screws when you buy a $800 range. To top it off they couldnt be bothered to send me a simple screw. My suggestion is go to store, buy a oven thermometer, see what your oven is putting out then recalibrate your temp yourself, you will have much better luck if you have bought 1 of their LEMONS.

Purchased this microwave from Lowes about 2 years ago. Dont have receipt anymore so dont know exact date... It now gets the -SE- error code and researching online after the fact have learned it to be quite a common problem and a design flaw in Samsung microwaves. Called Samsung to fix this issue and they said they will only replace parts for this error code in older models and not the SMH9027ST models... Model RF220NCTABC/AA - cracking noise from doors. The problem with the doors is not exactly in the hinges themselves. There are two plastic pieces: one black in the top next to the hinge, another white in the bottom next to the hinges. These parts have the function of toggle-close the doors and unfortunately are not of the right quality. They are each attached to the door with one Phillips screw. If any of them breaks, you get the crack sound. I just removed the one on the bottom right and the problem went away. Your technicians answering the phone should be trained on that and even if the refrigerator was bought more than one year ago, send customers these parts for free. Probably the postage will be more expensive than the parts.

Our refrigerator model number RF260BEAEWW and freezer stopped cooling on February 24. We called Samsung and a diagnostic repairman came to our home on February 27. It was determined that the compressor went out and someone else would need to come and replace the compressor. After a few follow up calls and being told they were waiting on the part the repairman came on March 14th. He replaced the compressor and the final test determined the unit was not holding pressure. The repairman called Samsung while at our home. The repairman told Samsung that the unit was not repairable. After the 30 minute call we were informed by the repairman that we would receive a replacement refrigerator. We were given an exchange number ** and to expect a call from Samsung in the next day or so. We did not hear anything from Samsung so we called on March 18. At that time we were told the exchange process takes 12 business days and we would just have to wait. We explained to the representative on March 18th how difficult it is to go without a refrigerator for 3 weeks especially with 3 children. It is very expensive to buy meals (dinner and breakfast) daily. Plus, we had already had to throw away the contents of the freezer and refrigerator. The week prior we spent over 300.00 on groceries (including meat and seafood). Which if we could find the receipt we would submit to Samsung for reimbursement. But the receipt was nowhere to be found. March 23rd we called to follow up with the exchange process. We were told that we needed to supply a bill of sale for the exchange process. This was the first time we were told this. April 11th we followed up on the bill of sale. We were told that since we purchased the unit at an appliance outlet store the unit was damaged and Samsung would not do anything for us. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS.

I purchased the side by side fridge. After 10 days, when I opened the door to the fridge, I would hear the fan motor slowing down. It was loud. I placed a service call to Sears (where I purchased it) and the serviceman said that I needed to empty the fridge and leave the doors open for two days so it could thaw. Apparently, it was frozen in the back. I did that and he came back the next week to install new parts. That was on a Friday. The following Tuesday, the fan noise was back. I placed another service call. This time, I insisted on a replacement. Guess what, the replacement is making the same fan noise.

Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher.
Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher. After reading Consumer report. Right off the bat dishes were always wet, never dried, had to hand dry. Called Samsung and was told to turn my hot water heater up and use on sanitize and heavy load settings. (This is great way to save energy.) This really did not accomplish much. Dishes still wet, still had to be dried by hand. This dishwasher is only used on weekends in the summer maybe at most it was used 20 times the first year. Second summer by 4th of July used around 6 times and a grinding noise started. Not all the time but at end of cycle. Called repair person (independent) 4 people refused to work on Samsung. I found one repair person who I paid $200 dollars to come and he told me I needed a new motor, which would be upward of $300. Washed the dishes for the remainder of that year. Third summer, called Sears, got a service contract for all products purchased from them, $300. Sears came and replaced pump, and said there was lots of plastic rack clips in pump, we counted 4. I never raise or lower the rack. The clips broke from just simply pulling it out and pushing it back. I was instructed to do this gently. That was 4 weeks ago. SE light came on and dishwasher stopped, after at tops 6 uses and gently moving the rack back and forth running hot water for 3-4 min. until very hot before turning on dishwasher at heavy and sanitize load. After a two week wait for service and another week for parts Sears is scheduled to come and replace pump and motor and all the rack clips. This will still be under my repair agreement with Sears (thank Goodness). So far my 3 year old Samsung DMR78DHS $800 plus delivery and installation has cost me $500. That is $1300. divided by the times used 30 = $43.33 each times it has been used. WOW!!! Not counting energy cost. I have no expectation that this scheduled repair will last. I hope it will until the end of summer and I will plan on buying a new dishwasher. I will under no circumstance buy another Samsung product. I wouldnt pay sales tax on another Samsung product if they gave me one. Not worth the trouble.

We bought a Samsung DMT300rfs/XAA dishwasher in May 2010. Had repairs in August 2012, September 2013, March 2014 and again, the SAME repair/part replaced in August 2014. Samsung will not consider this a lemon and our additional contract will expire in May 2015, after which WE will have to pay for that SAME part every few months. Samsung did offer us a diagnostic visit by THEIR recommended service tech (they no longer use Sears Repair) at an additional coast of $99.00 to us??All but the last repair left us with no dishwasher for about 2 weeks! Now, Sears is carrying that part on their truck. We only have to wait about a week! Its good that we purchased the extra warranty, but thats almost up. Side note: We also had to replace a Samsung microwave for the same reasons, bought at the same time! We did not purchase another Samsung.

Samsung Model DW80J3020UB - I notice several weeks ago that it wasnt drying properly. Couple of nights ago I was getting ready to go to bed when I noticed the dishwasher was still running in the heavy cycle which we never use. I tried to stop the dishwasher but couldnt, it kept going back to the heavy wash cycle. Then the door latch broke and dishwasher thinks its in the wash cycle with the door open. I didnt want to go to bed with fear of the dishwasher start in the wash cycle and flood the kitchen. I took the door panel off and cut the wires going to the motor and the motor kept running, got the door to close with motor still running. Got up the next morning motor not running, went to Lowes and bought a Bosch dishwasher. This Samsung dishwasher was bought in Nov 2015. After reading several other reviews I had to add this to warn people not to buy a Samsung dishwasher. PS Lowes does not carry Samsung. Any more wonder why.

We have a Samsung refrigerator Model# RF266AERS/xaa that stopped cooling at 3 1/2 years. A certified Samsung tech (only one in SE Wisconsin) was unable to repair. The problem was in the sealed system which has a five year warranty. He contacted Samsung and took all the necessary documentation as he was directed and sent it to Samsung. That was 4 weeks ago during which time I have called and been connected to executive customer service seven times, each phone call a minimum of 40 minutes on hold. I have sent my sales receipt twice. They always have problems locating some piece of information but always give a new transaction number and a very polite vague excuse. I have called the certified dealer twice. They resubmitted info and the second time even had the regional manager for Samsung send it in. That was one week ago. At my last call on Oct 2, 2014... This is ongoing and I am now waiting again for 2-3 days. Mind you these calls are all 40-60 minutes long and it has been 6 1/2 weeks without a working refrigerator! It also appears from other submissions, this is a big problem with Samsung and others.

Samsung top freezer RT21M62135R, nominally 21 cubic feet, is fairly capacious. Unfortunately the lighting in the refrigerator section is front mounted and everything in the rear disappears into the shadows - keep a flashlight handy. The freezer also has a light, something my prior refrigerator did not have. I really like the slide and reach shelf for deli type items - very convenient. The door storage is a bit inflexible. I ordered the model without an ice maker, they shipped it to me anyway despite my attempt to stop it, which they ignored (customer service in the US is impossible to contact - they switched me to Indonesia (sic)! (Consider that I bought this model for energy efficiency, then they ship something I do not want - pure waste.) Even though they took the door off, the delivery service still managed to put eight dents in the door - too easy to dent.

I purchased the Samsung 24.5 cu. ft. Side by Side (RS25H5111SR). Retail is average of around $1600-$1800. I had to return it to the store after 30 days. Although it was functional as far as space, it not only hissed and popped at intervals, it also had a very loud and annoying gurgling sound that was very audible. It was making sounds about 90% of the time so this one had to go! Cant imagine why Samsung would even allow their name on this type of product. At least the store was cordial about returning the refrigerator and allowing a new purchase (with a different brand).

Purchased a Samsung side by side in July 2015. About 4 months ago I noticed an odor in my freezer and fridge. Contaminated my food and made the ice taste terrible. I pulled everything out, cleaned every inch of it with baking soda water and put a box of baking soda in the freezer and fridge. I still have the odor. Had a technician come out because my ice maker was not producing ice and asked him about the odor. He could smell it too. He checked the drain, coils & compressor and found nothing wrong. I cleaned it out again and still have the odor. The technician said it smelled like celery. Agreed, but no celery in my fridge. I cannot keep butter or cheese in my fridge unless its double bagged in zip locks. The smell will not go away and its driving me insane. Should have stuck with my Whirlpool.

In November of 2015 we purchased a Samsung refrigerator French door BLK SS unit model number RF263BEAESG. In June of 2017 we started having trouble with the ice maker not working, and frosting up. On June 30th 2017 I contacted Samsung and they put a online service request ticket in for me. They told me I would be notified within 3 business days of when someone could come and repair the refrigerator. On July 10th I received another email from Samsung support and it said that my ticket had been cancelled the email read as follows your repair for service ticket has been cancelled. If you need service please contact us and it gave the phone number 1 800 Samsung. Thank you for your cooperation. Since then I tried to find someone in the local area that could come out and look at and or repair the unit. After several phone calls I was able to find someone that works on Samsung appliances. On July 18th a service tech came to my house and told me I had three issues the ice maker was going bad the fan in the freezer was going bad and at this point it was making a horrendous noise and then the fan in the refrigerator in the back that whole unit needed to be replaced. The total cost for these repairs are going to be about $800. At this point I have a really tough decision to make do I dump an additional $800 into this refrigerator and hope that it lasts, or do I bite the bullet and buy another refrigerator from a different manufacturer. I have responded to the emails from Samsung support I have gotten no further response from them. I do intend to let them know what is wrong with the refrigerator and what it is going to cost to repair it. While I understand it is out of warranty, it is not even 2 years old yet and should not be having these major issues.I will never buy another Samsung Appliance and I would never recommend to anyone that I know to buy one whether they are family friend or Foe. This has been such a disappointing experience for me. I can only hope that some attorney somewhere reads all of these complaints and puts together a class action lawsuit against Samsung. Someone needs to hold them accountable for making a product of such poor quality. People buy for the Samsung name because their Electronics have always been number one in the market. Their total lack of customer support has me wondering if I should even keep my Samsung smartphone. I find it hard to support a company that will not support its customers.

They apparently upgraded the fan in 2019, so I figured I would fork out the money and pay for that instead of just tossing this thing. Took a few months and that piece of garbage stopped working as well. Custom support is zero help - cant confirm if there has been a recall, what part is correct. Have been waiting for their superiors to contact me forever. Joke of a company. Do not buy their appliances.

I purchased a Samsung Model # RF28HDEDBSER (with French doors and freezer on the bottom) from Lowes about two years ago for about $3,000. After a year the iced maker broke down and we no longer have ice, it also makes a grinding noise. Now about 6 months later the refrigerator is barely cold enough to keep our food cold and the digital feature is malfunctioning and shows that it does not maintain a proper temperature; it keeps shutting off. We are very disappointed in this product, so we were not surprised now to discover many complaints with the same issues.Just filed a complaint on the Samsung website but do not expect them to respond, they said they would respond but kept me waiting in the chat for more than 10 minutes. Please do not buy their refrigerators they are not worth it and the honorable thing would be for them to replace a refrigerator that we expected to function for at least 5 years. It also makes me wonder about the quality of their other products. We dont have $3,000 just to buy refrigerators.

I purchased a Samsung 4-door refrigerator because I thought I was stepping up the quality for a refrigerator. The unit worked well for the first 13 months, then the ice maker would suddenly stop producing ice for no reason. I waited a day or two and the ice maker started working again. A few months later, I notice water on the floor of my kitchen. I thought my children spilled something. Then my son notice water dripping into the basement ceiling under the refrigerator. I looked more closely and the refrigerator was dripping water. My plumber guided me on shutting off the water to the refrigerator to limit the water damage. A technician came out a week later and took many pictures and troubleshoot the problem. Upon removing the drawers I noticed what was causing yet a second problem and that was a sheet of ice had formed underneath the fourth drawer, turning that drawer into a virtual freezer regardless of what temperature setting.Samsung initially said they would reimburse for the purchase of the refrigerator. I thought that was a relief, for obviously I had a lemon and they knew it. Everything was quiet for four days and when I checked back again the reimbursement had been cancelled. I received NO call, email or anything. Then I insisted if they were to fix the problem they should resolve the freezing of food in the fourth drawer as well as the leaking refrigerator. Then the reimbursement was pushed through again. Then 3 days later, after I received no email. Everything was cancelled, the reimbursement and the repair. So I am a consumer and I typically have refrigerators to just hang out for years. The Samsung refrigerators have gimmicks that work for a minute and then fail and they are very expensive. I would not recommend Samsung refrigerators. Their phones and tablets yes; refrigerators NO! Stick with a manufacturer thats been producing refrigerators for longer than 20 years.

I called Lowes after we had opened everything that was delivered with our new Samsung oven/range to say the griddle was missing. They said the griddle in their display was scratched and to call Samsung. I called Samsung and ended up texting our receipt to verify purchase. I was told it had gone through and the griddle would be delivered with 15 business days, this was on Aug. 26th. On Sept. 27th I called to find out why I hadnt received it yet and was apologized to and told there was no explanation as to why it didnt ship, but she assured me it would go out that day. Oct. 15th I call once again and now am told it does not come with a griddle, of course I asked why it was shown to come with the griddle at Lowes and both times I had called Samsung they never said it didnt. I asked to speak to a manager who on again repeated it didnt come with it. There was o explanation as to the fact 3 other people said it DID come with it. I was left with No. We are NOT going to honor this. My manual doesnt show it on that model, again no explanation as to why it was displayed with one and 2 previous Samsung representatives said it did come with it. All of my appliances were replaced with Samsung when we moved into our home 2 months ago, they dont really care, so Ill never buy another Samsung anything. For a part that probably didnt even cost that much, they didnt care that Ive just purchased these Samsung appliances: gas stove, electric microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer.

UPDATED: 3/31/2021: I purchased a condo 8/8/2020 in Pasadena that had been remodeled by the seller with brand new Samsung appliances all purchased 1/30/20. Delivered 2/01/2020. I called Samsung warranty Nov and Dec 2020 about the ice maker making horrible noises. They told me I was under warranty and that the ice maker had been recalled for RF24R7201SR/AA, payment of 1979.99 from Best Buy with receipts in hand. It took Samsung three service visits, months later to not be able to remedy the extreme noises while replacing the entire ice dispenser. They then informed me that now I was out of warranty and they would only offer me 1800.00 and for me to remove my warranty sticker to send to them. They informed me that Best Buy would now not swap the unit out because I was a few months off warranty but I was under warranty when I called and it was first serviced with this issue. I then reached a gentleman at Samsung March 25th at 10:05 am, call was recorded, and I was told that they changed their minds and that they have these refrigerators on hand through Samsung despite Best Buy not being able to help me. I asked him if he was sure because the previous calls insisted on sending me money for a devalued amount at 1800.00. He assured me that the call was sincere. I then called back 3/29/2020 and of course was told that that deal didnt exist for me and again only to take the 1800.00 offer. Calling them is like calling another planet of incompetent employees who hardly speak English at all and have no clue whats really going on. It is the worst company that I have ever dealt with in my life and my whole home is filled with Samsung appliances. Soon to be replaced with LGs when these stop working because Samsung has horrible customer service and treat their high paying clients like garbage.ORIGINAL REVIEW: The worst experience ever! Calling Samsung’s 800 number for warranty issues is like calling another planet of people so unqualified and unhelpful. I purchased a 2500 refrigerator 1/2020. Delivered by Best Buy in 2/12/2020 and the ice maker was making horrible sounds 9/2020, 10/2020, 11/2020. I called while it was under warranty and they promised I caught it in time. After they attempted to resolve the issue and couldn’t we entered into 2021 year and they changed their minds telling me they could no longer swap it out with Best Buy because it was out of the year 2020 timeframe. Despite telling me while I called in 2020 that I was protected as long as I presented the purchased receipts that I did! They are only offering me a low prorated amount of 1800 and to remove the warranty sticker. That’s just insane customer service when my whole home has Samsung products. I can’t even believe this company and I will never buy another Samsung again.

Love the functionality and setup of this freezer... when it works. Purchased in 2011 and worked fine for 4 years, Then water started leaking onto the tile floor causing a severe falling problem especially with my toddler. Service tech found a cm deep pool of mostly frozen water under the deli drawer but couldn’t explain it. Since then, we have had repeated problems with the back of the fridge freezing and stops cooling requiring manual defrost. Have lost full refrigerators of food several times. I have had to chip huge sheets of ice and suction freezing water out of the bottom of fridge multiple times. Major headache!! Fan is freezing up again so time to defrost again. That will consume our entire Sunday... RIDICULOUS for a $2000 machine!!!

Stove circuit fire on the new stove. I wrote the post below last year before Thanksgiving. Samsung repaired the unit. Then gave us a partial refund as well. We kept the stove since it was working. Now it is having an electrical problem. We smell wire burning. At this point, Samsung has made good on this stove. But it is disappointing that even after repair there are more issues with the range/oven. We now are looking to buy a new stove and will not by Samsung again.Post from 2017: Dear Samsung support. Tonight my stove went on fire. I have a NE59J7630SS, which we purchased in July of 2015. My wife was cooking and heard a loud pop from behind the instrument panel and then fire and smoke. I turned off the breaker off and opened the back panel. I have a picture attached. Is this something you can fix for us? This should not happen to a new stove like this! It is not longer under warranty. I see this is not just an isolated incident judging from the forums online. Please let me know if you can assist.

We had the absolute worst experience with Samsung. We called because our freezer was 2.5 years old and both ice makers broken in addition to the freezer. Our freezer wasnt staying at the correct temperature. I called to see what, if anything they can do. They advised me that there is no warranty. I requested the information for an authorized Samsung repairer (they did not offer). I was told that I would need to call and set up the appointment since I was no longer under warranty. I expressed how disappointed I was that our refrigerator was broken and was under 3 years old. He continued to reminded me there is no warranty so that was the end of that. I then called the number provided by the Samsung representative and did not speak with anyone. I chatted with a representative over the internet and explained that I could not get in contact with them and explained that I am loyal customer of Samsung for over 10 years and am in need of assistance. He could not do anything other than tell me that my warranty has expired and that I should call the number provided. I called a total of 4 times and left 2 voice messages. I then contacted via chat to beg for help and he then provided a number to Samsung Emergency Help. However at this exact time my husband was at the house with an unauthorized repair company because we have now been 4 days without a refrigerator and have a house of 6 to provide for. The emergency repair representative said that they cannot help because an unauthorized has touched our appliance. The unauthorized repair man confirmed we had a freon leak which was the reason our temperature was not right in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments in addition to having broken ice makers. The Freon had a 5 year warranty and when a supervisor called me back she said I should have looked at the manual and that that was my responsibility. I reminded her that I told the rep I spoke with everything and I am not too savvy when it comes to diagnosing issues with my refrigerator so I did not know it was the freon, I clearly communicated that the freezer and refrigerator temps where not right and the original rep I communicated that too agreed but still told me I have no warranty so I believed I had no warranty.I was repeatedly blamed for not arguing with the rep about the freon and warranty issue. They blamed me for getting a unauthorized repair man, They said I should have kept calling them when I got no response from their authorized repair facility. The chat rep disconnected/hung up on me (still had questions), when I asked to speak with the supervisor - she stated, You actually spoke with my supervisor already, and went on to explain that her supervisor passed it to her to handle when I requested a supervisor and that I could not speak to anyone else. The supervisor blamed me for not setting an appointment up through them (even after I told her I was clearly told that I have to do it). I did not raise my voice nor did I at anytime use vulgarities or insult anyone that I spoke with.I reminded them that I was a loyal customer with over 14 Samsung products that includes appliances, phones, media equipment, and tables and it meant nothing. I suggested they at least give me a coupon to purchase something else and all was denied. I cannot and will not patronize a company that has such bad service. I talked to Samsung 3 times by phone when I called, 2 time when a supervisor called me, and 2 times by chat and I did not have an acceptable experience. I feel as if the product was defective if everything broke within a week of each other and it was only 2.5 years old. Terrible Service, no I am purchasing a new refrigerator and will not consider a Samsung product again.

Not only does it not dry dishes from the beginning when I got it; yes I use the jet dry liquid rinse aid, error messages now keep coming on even after repairman came and replaced the main board (which took almost three weeks of hand-washing dishes), it does not have a heat drying element. $700 piece of **, after reading all the reviews of the same thing happening with lots of other Samsung dishwashers. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator! I purchased a French door, bottom freezer, center drawer unit in November 2014. Beautiful appliance! I never really cared for the icemaker, but it made ice so I was ok with it until the unit was 2 1/2 years old. The ice maker began to freeze on the bottom and no ice was made. Then the water began dripping out of the front door dispenser. Fortunately I purchased the extended warranty, but when the repairmen came, on four occasions, there was not much they could do to remedy the situation. Finally they ordered a new icemaker, but then Samsung backordered for over a month then sent the wrong parts. Seems Samsung has completely changed the repair of their icemakers and the repairmen have not installed a new one to their specifications, so mine is the first. Great! Mine will be the Guinea Pig! Wish I had this purchase to do over, and had my $2000 (sale price) back to purchased an American made unit.

I made a terrible mistake and bought a Samsung refrigerator from Costco. Error beeping right off the bat for an open door that wasnt open. Adjusted the doors and checked that the reed sensors were aligned, but same message. Called Samsung technical support who had no answers, but they would dispatch a technician late the following week. Meanwhile about $500 in food spoiled on our counter and their customer care team did zero to help. Please save yourself the anguish of having a day thats supposed to be exciting after dropping 2k on an appliance turn into a nightmare. These people can barely do cell phones right, why did I think they could manufacture a fridge properly.

It seems Samsung only makes JUNK now. My new oven will no longer heat. Error code E27. Replaced the Temp sensor and still the same error. One of the burners stays on high all the time. My new 50 Samsung TV lasted 14 months and the panel blew. Phones and washers exploding. Why would anyone buy a Samsung product? Was told Whirlpool was the best bet or LG.

Whenever we were in the market to replace our appliances, I always looked to Samsung first. We have 4 Samsung TVs, a refrigerator, 4 smartphones, Blu-Ray player and a washing machine and we love them all. That was until I had the misfortune of purchasing an over the range microwave. Here youve read all the stories about these microwaves and their failure on sensor errors just after the warranty expires. Its a poorly designed product that fails due to the humidity created when cooking on the stove. The only thing worse than the design of the product is Samsungs support for this inferior product.I havent replaced the unit yet because Im afraid the next unit I purchase (Hint: not a Samsung product) will encounter the same problems. I have a countertop microwave someone gave me so I dont really need an over the range model. But when I do the kitchen remodel, Im not sure what to put in its place. Obviously I need some sort of vent so thats where my research now takes me.

They are very irresponsible, whenever refrigerator stop working they never support and to rectify the problem took 1 week to 2 weeks. As per my experience, I would like to suggest do not buy Samsung Refrigerator. This customer support is worst. I bought this model a year ago in June 2016. We had one visit from tech so far when refrigerator refused to turn on and cool. Tech came and fixed issue with electronic board. Now just over a year later I am having same problem as previous writer. The refrigerator is not cooling yet freezer is. Am attempting to contact service, but meanwhile all food is spoiling. Our last refrigerator - simple model different brand with no bells whistles lasted ten years without an issue. Would not recommend this model due to issues after only one year plus. Obviously this is occurring after the warranty has expired so it will cost money to repair.

The home I bought came with a french door Samsung fridge model number RF263AEBP. About 3 days after moving in the fridge stopped cooling. Luckily our home came with a home warranty so we filed a claim. There is a known defect with this model Samsung fridge and Samsung is doing nothing to resolve the issue. A family in NJ had to file a class action lawsuit to try getting help from Samsung. The fridge stops cooling and water forms under the fridge. Ice covers the coils therefore the fan stops working. The fridge then goes into defrost mode. This has been an absolute headache for us.We have forked out money on short term repairs and have lost money spent on food that has gone bad. This fridge is easily worth $3000.00. Samsung should be ashamed! I feel there should be a recall on their faulty product. I WILL NEVER buy another Samsung product after seeing how Samsung treats their customers. Im now trying to decide if we should put more money into this fridge or go out and buy a new one. Steer clear of Samsung!!!

My kitchen was in desperate need of a makeover so I decided to purchase all new products from Sears and selected Samsung. I so wish that I would have checked with Consumer Affairs first before purchasing (3) Samsung products in 2013 - all of which have had issues. I purchased a double door black refrigerator, a black microwave as well as a black gas range. My refrigerator from day one has had issues with the ice maker not making ice and the refrigerator temperature not working properly. The worst product of all was the microwave oven that caught fire while I granddaughter was cooking a hotdog on a paper plate. The plate caught on fire. There were sparks and flames literally shooting from the microwave. I didnt purchase the extended warranty on the microwave because my experience with good microwaves is that they simply stop working after about 6-7 years. They dont catch on fire! I paid $329 for the microwave and Samsung wanted to charge me $325 for the repairs and continue to give me the run around. The matter is still not resolved. So if you are reading this review... save yourself the trouble. Please do not purchase any Samsung product!

Do not ever buy a Samsung appliance. Their customer service is terrible and their dishwasher works about 50% of the time. We are a household of 4 who use the dishwasher (model # DW80F600UTS/AA) once a day and load it sparingly, correctly, and with little soap. We have had a service person here 4 times since we bought it 7 months ago with an added extended warranty and they say they cannot correct the problem which is that the soap dispenser fails to open sometimes and other times opens but does not dispense the soap and other times works fine. They put in a new pump but that did not solve it. We have contacted Best Buy where we bought it. They turn us over to the appliance service they contract with. The appliance service says they cant do anything more. They turn us over to Samsung who says run it with no dishes in it and if it fails to open and dispense soap call us. But, we say, the problem exists 50% of the time, not 100%. Since we are still under factory one year warranty before the extended warranty kicks in, Samsung will charge us if they come out and cant locate a problem. We have spent hours and hours and hours on this. Would any of them be content with an appliance that fails to perform half the time?! I would also say that I will not buy anything else from Best Buy because they do not stand behind what they sell as soon as you are out the door, extended warranty or not. $801 spent on something that doesnt work right and they wont fix or replace.

We purchased our stainless steel Samsung refrigerator in Feb of 2013 (side by side with freezer on bottom) and made the mistake of opting out of the extended warranty. Big mistake! This product is pure junk! The icemaker continually freezes up and I have had two service calls and still the same problem. I have to unclog the ice personally to get the icemaker to work again. Now there are other issues the repairman said would cost $500 to fix. I have called Samsung at least six times to no avail. If you want a good, reliable refrigerator, stay away from Samsung!!! Not only are they junk, their people are not at all sympathetic. They have my money and Im on my own now. Im very angry at this company that rips people off like this.

We have an extended warranty (thank heavens) but so far, the repair people have not done anything to fix the problem. The tech replaced the fan (the one he had didnt really fit so he used tin snips to make it fit...a bad sign!) After his visit, the freezer quit freezing correctly and now we are waiting on someone to come on Monday. I hope he is more prepared than the original guy and can fix it. I really like this unit. I hope we can make it work again and stay working.

I just got a brand new Samsung DW80K7050US dishwasher which retails for $950. To install it, the electricity must be connected (easy) and the output line has to be connected (easy) and the supply line has to be connected (easy). But.. when I turn the water on, I can hear a high pressure leak but see no water coming from anywhere. After a few minutes, a puddle of water comes from under the machine. There isnt a drop of water IN the machine. That means that when the machine was put together, there is a leaky seal or missing washer someplace... And I have to uninstall the machine, turn it upside down and play surgeon for a few hours trying to fix this damned leak. That is ridiculous.Even worse, I have done searches on this, and that problem is not uncommon. Typically it is fixed by the install, but in this case, I installed it. Why should I pay someone $150 to connect 3 wires and two hoses? Its no more complicated than attaching a garden hose. Obviously they dont test their products for leaks before shipping them out.

Just got through using a hair dryer to defrost the ice maker again, every 4-6 weeks. Seems to be a common problem with no solution from the blogs. Really got nowhere with Samsung, just a scripted response. It appears that this is still a major issue with their re-design, maybe this design should be included in a class action lawsuit. I will not be looking at any Samsung product in the future. It is also getting more difficult to get the ice bucket back in.

When I called Samsung, they said that it is no longer under warranty. They fail to acknowledge the defect. DW80F600UTS - We purchased a new dishwasher in August of 2014 but it was not installed until the house was completed in January of 2015. Not only does this dishwasher take over two hours to cycle through, it has NEVER cleaned the dishes. We basically have to wash the dishes before we use it and then use it on the heavy and sanitize cycles. It has become a very expensive dish-drying rack! We have contacted Samsung numerous times and have had a technician here twice. They can find nothing wrong with the machine. According to Samsung it is working within specifications. Apparently dishes with baked on food is acceptable to Samsung. I complained all the way up to the presidents office and was basically told that if another technician came out and found nothing wrong, we would have to pay for the service call. 13 months after purchasing our Samsung Refrigerator the icemaker went out. It leaks constantly inside the fridge and in the cup area. I constantly have to have a paper towel there to soak up the water. It freezes up about once a week and my husband has to use the hair dryer to get it going again. Sometimes we get real cubes, but most of the time we get slushy cubes. We were dazzled by the French door version with the outside access drawer in the middle and paid $2,400. Two years later I vow to never buy another Samsung appliance. Samsung is no help. I hope the class action lawsuit can do something, but the legal process is so long, Ill probably be dead by then!

I purchased a Samsung 24.73 ft 4 door French door refrigerator Model #RF25HMEDBSR in August of 2017. Not sure how long I had it when the ice maker started freezing up and had to be defrosted with a BAIRD dryer. Called for repair the first time in February of 2018. They replaced the entire ice maker, however it started freezing up again. Repair sent out again on May 14, 2018. The technician tells me the entire refrigerator need to be replaced and someone will call me within 24-48 hours. No call, I call Samsung and I am told, WE DONT CALL you, I am told to submit receipts and someone will contact me. I submit my receipts and receive a phone call on the 22 of May to send a better picture of the receipt.May 23rd I received an email stating the exchange has been approved and someone from the Lowes where I purchased it should give me a call within 5 business days. 5 days later no call. May 31st. I call Samsung, they tell me the exchange is finished on their end and I need to contact the local Lowes. Call Lowes, they have not received the RMA (return merchandise authorization). I provide the number and they contact Samsung to request it be sent again. June 1st - Lowes calls, RMA received. They are required to come and pick up the refrigerator, refund it then they can order the new one... I call Samsung, and explain how I am not ok with this, The bottom line is, they don’t care. The angel in this scenario is Jessica (and Dianne) assistant manager at Lowes in Santa Clarita California. She is willing to order the replacement without having the old unit back. Because its a special order will take 10 days to get to the store. That puts me at the 14th of June, almost exactly 1 month from the date of my 2nd repair and the day I get on a plane to go to Europe for 2 weeks. Here’s the Bottom line, Samsung did nothing to make this an easy process and they don’t care. I just stumbled on this site and can see this is a known issue and they have done nothing to fix the problem. During manufacturing or after the units were purchased.

Bought this from SEARS just before Christmas around December 22 of 2010 to match the Samsung Stove that I bought for the new home that we had just moved into. Looked great and I was very pleased until it stopped working on Jan. 4th of 2012 (approximately). Throwing the error code SE and unplugging it and re-plugging it back in would allow it to work for maybe 5 minutes. I was so upset when I called Sears and they wouldnt even entertain the idea of coming out to service it unless I wanted to pay for the service call and whatever the problem was to fix. I realize that there is only a 1-year warranty on the microwave, but come on! It stopped working 2 weeks past the 1-year warranty end. Whatever happened to standing by what you sell? Its a shame that most of these products are made overseas and so cheaply and then sold for way more than they are worth. Its obvious to me that Samsung products are pretty much pieces of crap that arent even worth looking at. I encourage anyone considering one of their products to think twice. I am a very unhappy consumer and will tell everyone that I know to not even consider any product manufactured by Samsung. Yes, I could have purchased an extended warranty but come on people, 54 weeks an appliance works before breaking down and needing repair? That is absolutely absurd. I pretty much told Sears that they lost a customer and anyone else that I knew too. No wonder they are going out of business! They have terrible customer service and dont give a damn about the consumer. I had an independent service company come out to take a look, who, by the way did not charge me for the service call, as I had explained the situation to them. He checked it out and told me the motherboard would have to be replaced and that it would cost almost as much as I paid for the microwave in the first place. How disappointing that I have been sitting here with a microwave for the past 2 years that doesnt work because I dont exactly have the luxury of being able to just go out and purchase a new one every year or two. Im furious at Samsung for manufacturing such a substandard product and then knowing that it has problems, refused to do any kind of recall or offer to repair at no charge and also SEARS for being so not standing behind what they sell. Cheap labor = cheap materials = cheap products. Truly disgusting!

Two years ago, we bought a Samsung refrigerator and it has been nothing but a money pit. We bought this from Lowes and it is no secret that this product is a piece of junk. Why would they keep selling them? The thermostat went out 31/2 months ago for a price of $300 and another service call a month before that for a price of $100. Well, the thermostat is out again and Samsung said that the thermostat has only a three-month warranty. We bought new home and furnished with new Samsung kitchen appliances. Within the first four weeks, my wife start to notice tiny rust spots inside sheet metal tub of dishwasher. We called Lowes where we had purchased the appliances. The Lowes sales associate called Samsung dealer support customer service and they scheduled an in-home technician visit. The technician cancelled the appointment 2 hours before showing up and re-scheduled again. I took time off from work during week day for the technician visit. When technician showed up, he assessed that it is in fact rusting. He has seen parts corroded before but never this fast on the sheet metal. He said he can fix/repair things but with rust he cannot do anything. The unit needs to be exchanged. I asked him to take pictures for his documentation which he was not thinking off so he did. I waited a week but did not hear anything. So, I called and put on hold for half hour because Samsung customer service said they cannot locate any information on technician visit and they are now tracking him down. After half hour gone, I asked the agent to sort this internal between Samsung departments and get back to me. Another week gone by, no one followed up so I called again. This time was exact repeat of week before, put on hold again for half hour and still no information available from technicians visit. Like the week before, the agent asked me of the name of technician who visited our house. At this point, I was extremely frustrated and told the agent that this is something Samsung should know why customer has to call each week to sort out Samsung internal process. As a customer, I expect resolution of my problem not to help Samsung of their back office issues. I expect someone to take ownership of the issue, follow-up with whomever and get back. I ended called after half hour when agent could not locate the technician or any details of his visit. Later in the evening, I called again to see if the agent was able to find technician or find any information, the result was same. However, agent promised that someone call me next business day without me calling them back.I received a call from Samsung executive customer service that they now have the findings of the technician and indeed there dishwasher is getting rust. However, the cannot offer any exchange because the rust is cosmetic issue and they cannot offer any exchange. They cannot offer any other option and suggested to consult with the retailer. When I asked who is going to reimburse for installation cost of the dishwasher, I was told that Samsung will not reimburse. When I asked, who will reimburse for my time including time off from work for in-home technician visit and subsequent calls over three week dealing with this lemon? The answer was sorry we dont offer anything. I asked to speak to senior leadership; I was told there is no one that the agent can forward the call to.At this point, I have decided to work with Lowes to see if I can return all Samsung appliances worth over $5000 including front loading washer and dryer, large French door fridge and off course this defective dishwasher. I cannot trust the quality and workmanship of Samsung products. Period! What a shame, a company continues to make defective products. This is not the first time I have this experience, back in 2009 when I bought 55 high-end LCD TV, its LCD panel went out after first year and when they replaced the new LCD panel, six months later, it malfunctioned again resulting in swapping to a LED TV in working with their executive customer service.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator model #RF263BEAESR 2.5 years ago. It was over $2,500.00. It has had very light use and out of the blue the freezer stopped working. Called Samsung and they sent technician to diagnose. Cost $125 for them to tell me the compressor has stopped working. After many emails back and forth and telephone calls to Samsung - most can hardly speak English, Samsung will pay for the part but NOT the labour. The labour costs are estimated at $900 to install the compressor. Really Samsung. Thats how you back your products? No one expects a fridge to only last 2.5 years. Never will I buy Samsung again. Its just a scam. These new appliances from Samsung just dont last and when a part goes unexpectedly they do not back up their product. They want you to buy a new one because in the end its probably cheaper. Well I may be buying a new fridge but it wont be a Samsung.

There is a light that comes on to tell me to change the water filter, but it does not have one. For the last month it puts water under the draws and freezes. It is out of warranty now. It still is not paid for. After reading all the reviews I realize I need a new refrigerator, while still having to pay off this one. The store HH Gregg is no longer in business. The microwave does not work properly, just plain junk. I do not know why this company is allowed to sell products in the U.S. They are just stealing our money and getting away with it. Since purchasing in 2012 this refrigerator has been a constant problem. We have had to defrost the freezer 6 times due to ice buildup. And now for the second time the refrigerator is not working. The back panel freezes. The fan then breaks due to the ice buildup which causes the motor to stop. This has happened twice at a $500 cost to fix. Now in addition to the refrigerator not working there is ice building the size of a large melon in the lower right hand interior panel. We have been told this is due to bad insulation and is a product defect. We contacted customer service and they told us the repair company is not Samsung authorized. The Samsung authorized service did not return our calls for service. We have tried them again and they ask we wait 5 days before a serviceman can conduct a home visit. I have a Samsung refrigerator SN#JKJ44BBFB069***, model # RF263BEAESR/AA. It was purchased in Jan, 2015. Under the extended warranty that I purchased from Best Buy the unit has had three service calls: to replace the evaporator cover and new style drain tubes, and the evaporator cover again (fan making noise), as well as the ice-maker and ice auger. The 5 year extended warranty expired in January 2020. Not long after the warranty expired it developed an over and under-cooling issue. I contacted Samsung for out of warranty service, but they had no service technicians in my area. I contacted Best Buy and they referred me to Samsung. I had two different local appliance repair services attempt the repair. The first company, after the service call was unsuccessful, returned all my money rather than continue to attempt repair. The second company was partially successful; they replaced the refrigerator compartment thermistor three times, the mainboard was replaced twice, the unit still over-cools (under-cooling seems to be fixed). They had no ideas as how to proceed from there. Being as it was working: with the temperature set at 44F, and a measured refrigerator temperature of 34-36F, we continued to use it without attempting further repair. Recently it has returned to its severe overcooling ways: temperature is set at 44F, with a measured refrigerator temperature of 28-30F. I contacted Samsung for a service call, Samsung is still (16 months later) unable to schedule a repair tech as there is no one to service the Asheville, NC area. Best Buy again referred me to Samsung. I have called other local appliance service centers, and they all decline to work on the unit, one suggested that I throw it away and buy any other brand?! By the way this company was recommended by Samsung.

We purchased our Samsung #FTQ353IWUX stove 8 years ago. There have always been little problems, all happening after our extended warranty expired. Ie: the glass top cracked; cleaning cycle never completely cleaned the oven; now I have a problem with the oven light flashing off and on and snap/crackling/popping when I turn the oven on. Purchased from Lowes. They gave me 2 repair companies to call. Neither will touch a Samsung. So, off to buy a new stove in the next day or 2 and it will NOT be a Samsung.

Ice maker froze up after out of warranty (of course). Couldnt find a Samsung repairman in our area. Call general repairman. Paid $168.00 for him to tell us to take a blow dryer and defrost it when it happens again. Needless to say, we do not use our ice maker.

Samsung over stove microwave Model # SMH9187W - I noticed yesterday that the control panel was showing SE on the panel. I checked online to troubleshoot this issue and came across this website. I then called Samsung customer service line and only got a # to call service company. I was told Samsung would only pay for panel but not labor of 170.00. SO I did the online chat with an agent and cut and paste many reviews that were shown here. Then I got another phone number and again explained and was then transferred to service and surprise, service person will come and replace my panel 100% FREE OF CHARGE. I was very calm and polite and explained issues are confirmed by at least 200 other owners of this product. I am please with outcome and happy that Samsung realized that customer service is important.
