We purchased the Samsung 24 Stormwash dishwasher in August 2020. After the first time I ran a full cycle, I got an error code OC. I looked it up and the manual said to contact the manufacturer. I tried using another cycle to see if that would work, it didnt. So I tried several other cycles and it finally completed a cycle. But I immediately noticed it didnt wash the dishes at all. Dishes that didnt even have grease on them before, were greasy with debris on it. Mind you, I rinse the majority of the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. So I called Home Depot to tell them it wasnt working and they informed me at that moment that it was purchased from the manufacturer so I would have to contact them. Soooo, I called them and I have had the run around from the very beginning. They arranged with a local company to send a tech out to look at it. That is whole story in itself (and not a good one). He FINALLY came out, said it needed a part, ordered it and came back to install it a week later. After he left, I tried a cycle and it worked. And then I ran another cycle and it barely got about 2 to 5 minutes into the cycle and it stopped. I called Samsung again, and after speaking to the lady (a rather rude lady at that), she finally escalated it for me to get a refund or replacement because they couldnt get in contact with the company that supposedly fixed my unit. They were supposed to call me back within 24 to 48 hours. A WEEK later, I called them because I never got a phone call back and they had the nerve to tell me I didnt qualify for a replacement or refund. They sent a defective unit that cost $1052.85 and now I have to jump through hoops just to get the unit fixed. The rep has been rude and dismissive. The unit is horrible! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. We have everything else Samsung, but we will NEVER buy from them again!

After I bought my Samsung fridge in 2014. I found out that my ice maker stopped working in 2015. I called the warranty and they sent a Tech to replace the whole part and I had to throw away lot of foods as we have 2 kids and lot of baby food & fresh foods were stocked as we have to defrost the fridge. Now its 2018 and again the ice maker has gone bad and now they are claiming it will be on me as the warranty is over. I cant believe they make this cheap parts and then they play the warranty game. I am afraid I will have to again throw away lot of the foods and on-top pay the technician to get the Ice maker fixed and I am sure they will charge you expensive labor and part rate for it so they can make profit of this maintenance scheme. Samsung should be punished for such action and banned from selling such items in the US.

Bought a $1800.00 Samsung range (NX58H900WS) 1.5 years ago. Within the first year I tried to use the self-clean function and the electronics blanked out - Unusable stove. They sent a repairman who fixed it. Just tried to use the self-clean again and the same thing happened. Looked online and this seems to be a common problem - but there is no recall. They only will stand behind the fix for 90 days. I am totally out of luck - customer service useless. Stove useless. Literally the worst product I have ever bought. Will NEVER purchase a Samsung product again. A company that does not stand behind its products and fix design flaws is not a good company to deal with.

Purchased the refrigerator recently. Samsung has been out numerous times and cant repair it. The problems seem to change with each tech and with each phone call. I get different reasons why it doesnt work correctly. Last outsider tech rep stated it was the smart app in the refrigerator has a problem. Samsung does not live up to its advertising or product warranty. Would not recommend Samsung to my worst enemy. In the advertising it states Stream music and videos, and watch your Samsung TV directly on your Family Hub... Also bought a new Samsung TV and they are not compatible. So states some Samsung reps. Others say that it should work. Spent a lot of money on garbage, in my opinion.

I purchased Samsung 4 door flex refrigerator July 2018. The ice maker started freezing over and not working and has been doing this every couple of month. I have been thawing it out and reseting it. It’s now December 2019 and no longer reset. I called Samsung and they directed me to a repair company who doesn’t return calls. I’m so unhappy with Samsung as I have looked them up on Youtube and blogs where there are so many complaints about the ice maker not just my model but numerous models. There is also a class action suit. I have always purchased their electronics and I have their washer/dryer which I have not had any problems. Do not buy their refrigerator until they fix this problem.

Beware > The drawers only pull out halfway making it inconvenient to put it
Beware > The drawers only pull out halfway making it inconvenient to put items in them and even more difficult to get items out. For example: a head of cabbage will not fit in a drawer. Beware of scraping your hand when removing items from the half open drawers. Ice maker malfunctions regularly: after dropping ice out of the ice dispenser and releasing the control, the dispenser door does not close fully, allowing warm air to infiltrate the ice storage compartment, thereby allowing ice to melt. The ice mechanism re-freezes the melting ice cubes remaining in the opening and in the storage compartment into a clump, preventing the further operation of the system. All frozen shut. Solution is: 1) empty the entire freezer and defrost for a few hours so the ice compartment can be removed, cleared of remaining water and restarted. 2) A service professional has to take apart the frozen mechanism and repair the defective parts. $$. Never again. P.S. Our Samsung printer/copier was also the worst. After the warranty expired it also malfunctioned requiring professional service. Also poor quality.

I did not purchase a service agreement for the store told that since it had been repaired for something else (motherboard) that it will have not problems. Samsung’s refrigerators are nothing but disappointment. Their refrigerators are not cheap, so you would think you get what you pay for... but you’re paying for a fridge that doesn’t cool the food and when it is it is never the posted temperature. This fridge will not only cost you thousands to purchase, but then thousands in lost food due to spoilage and hundreds if not thousands in repairs. Samsung’s warranty and customer service are jokes, and neither can help in rectifying their wrongdoings! They have been selling the same faulty design in all their refrigerators since 2006 despite the class action suit against them for their faulty design. They will tell you it’s a rare issue... it is not. There is a service bulletin out about it. They’re aware. They just don’t care. Last week my Samsung “fridge” caused mold in my toddlers cup due to improper cooling, this is how I discovered (for the 3rd time) it stopped cooling once again... despite it reading a temperature of 38*... not cooling while displaying a temp that indicates it is, is causing unsafe food temps that have made people sick! They don’t care. There is a reason there is an FB group of over 25,000 asking for a recall on all Samsung refrigerators. If you make it through the warranty period without issues, rest assured your product will break in 1 months time. Don’t buy Samsung. It is nothing but pretty TRASH!

Samsung stove burners are defective!!! Once burners are utilized on high, you cannot turn down burner to low to keep food warm - you must remove pan from burner, turn burner completely off and wait for heat to dissipate before putting back on low and returning pan to burner. You cant walk away for any length of time as pans burn on high!! I am buying a coil burner to cook on as All stoves are built this way. Make sure if you are buying new to get a coil or old fashion stove rather than glass top - although they look great and clean easy, they SUCK!!!

When I purchased my new home in July of 2010, I decided to buy my dream refrigerator along with it. I purchased the Samsung French door from Lowes for about $2500 - a real splurge for a single school teacher. I didnt get the extended warranty because I figured that anything that expensive would be well made with excellent customer service. Wrong on both counts. The first refrigerator lasted two weeks. The water spout wasnt working so Lowes told me to get a plumber. I had the plumber come and $100 later, the problem was still there. Finally, after a lot of complaining, Lowes switched it out for another one. I blamed the problem on Lowes, thinking they gave me a floor model. The replacement worked much better until I noticed snow on the right side of the freezer (about 6 months later). Of course I figured I did something wrong. I was still in denial that Samsung would sell a piece of junk for top dollar. I cleaned out the freezer and was careful about closing the door. Then I noticed the food in fridge would be completely soggy to the point where I had to throw things away. My biggest mistake was waiting a year and a half to call them. They told me to troubleshoot and go from there. This past holiday, the snow was so bad that my food was ruined in the freezer. I have gone the rounds with Samsung. They told me it will cost $500 and they will not pay any of it. Basically, what they are saying is it is okay for them to sell a product to a consumer for $2,500 and then expect a repair of 20% of that price in two years. Mind you, I am a single senior who barely opens the freezer or fridge for that matter. I take care of my things and never in all my years had to repair or replace any appliance owned. Samsung needs to make this right. They need to step up to the plate with integrity and replace all our defected refrigerators. Consumers have rights. It is illegal to sell someone something and not have it perform the function it was meant to do. I am boycotting all Samsung products and urging you to do the same. Please, please, please if you are considering a Samsung, please do not purchase. This refrigerator is defective.

Approximately 14 months after purchasing a Samsung french door refrigerator
Approximately 14 months after purchasing a Samsung french door refrigerator (Model #RF28HMEDBSR) the ice maker froze up and stopped working. It had to be manually defrosted (frost and ice removed). This issue occurred every 2 to 3 weeks. We trusted Samsung and did not purchase an extended warranty. A call to the service center revealed that any cost for service provided would have to be paid for by myself. A research of this equipment failure revealed hundreds, if not thousands, of similar complaints and unresolved issues. I continued to manually defrost the ice maker but the issue remained. We are now making ice cubes in ice cube trays.

Bought a Samsung dishwasher from Best Buy and had installed late Jan 2014. Once installed had service come out to the house FOUR (4) times to repair. Would just stop working. It never cleaned that well. Glasses always came out dirty. So here we are AGAIN, the dishwasher has stopped working but because we are now over a year they say our warranty is out and refuse to fix it. If you buy a brand new product and within the first year need service 4 times, dont you think there is an issue? And its convenient that the last time they came out they said if we needed service again they would just replace it... Its pathetic Samsung does not stand behind their products. But I guess they really dont want to because its crap. And in my opinion, my warranty shouldve started over every time they had to come out and repair it.

We installed a Samsung SMH9187 over cook top microwave in August 2009. I liked the 5 speed fan. The low speed was quieter than others at low speed. Controls stopped working August 2012 so I replaced membrane touch pad - a 3 year life. Now May 2013 (0.75 years later) and no response from touch pad. I just solved the problem. The problem of lack of response to control pad (a membrane switch) was to separate two sections of the control pad cable. The membrane switch type control panel was a film cable that connects to the circuit board. A 7-wire piece folds back on the cable, causing confusion for the control system on the PC board. The solution was to insert a small rolled up paper tube to separate the two cable sections. To test this I removed the paper tube and clipped the cable pieces tightly together. The controls became unresponsive. Separating the cable sections again restored function. This is a quirk in the Samsung design. It may have been unnecessary to replace the first membrane switch ($19). When the new switch was installed, by chance the two cable pieces were separated just enough to work. Then over time they moved together, initially causing some problems, then later total non-function. This problem may cause one to push hard on the buttons to make it work, possibly damaging the switch.Step by Step Instructions: 1. Unplug microwave for safety; 2. Remove 2 vent cover retaining screws from top front of microwave; 3. Push vent cover left to unhook and remove; 4. Remove screw on top of control panel box; 5. Push control panel box up to unhook and remove. No need to disconnect anything; 6. Insert a rolled up tube of paper 2 to 3 between folded back 7-connector piece and the main cable; 7. Re-install control box and test. Then re-install vent cover.Im amazed at all these problems people are having. One would think Samsung would help, but it seems they hide behind warranty is up so call a repairperson. Our last phone purchase was Nokia, not a Samsung, as I have lost faith in the brand.

In December 2015, I purchased a Samsung built-in dishwasher model DW80F600UTS/AA. I finally got it installed around July 2016. By November 2017, the dishwasher stopped working. The pump was running even though there was no water in it. I opened the door and the pump does not stop. The heavy LED was flashing even though I never selected heavy cycle. I try to turn off the dishwasher using the power button, it turns off for 2-3 seconds then it comes back automatically and the pump is just keep going. The only way to shut it off is by flipping the circuit breaker. I tried every recommended method, which included keeping power off for a while and then reapply, but nothing worked. As soon as power was applied, the pump started running and wouldnt shut off using front panel controls. An appliance repair technician came to my house in December 2017, but the regular warranty had expired. Fortunately, I had purchased a 3 year extended warranty. The technician diagnosed a bad control panel and sump pump assembly. It took 3 months for the parts to arrive. Once the new parts were installed (March 2018), it worked great; for approximately 3 months and then broke again (June 2018) with the exact same problem. A repair technician came out and replaced the sump motor again. The dishwasher worked until the end of August 2018 and quit working again with the exact same symptoms as the previous two times. A repair technician came out on 4 September 2018, diagnosed a bad sump motor and placed it on order. Around 4 November 2018, I called for status on when I could expect my dishwasher to be repaired. I was informed the motor had to be ordered from Korea and they had no idea when it would be shipped. I canceled the service request and am going to trash the dishwasher. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again.

The ice maker started jamming right away. When we called they gave us instructions on how to clear the jam ourself. I have never had a company tell me to fix anything myself. What they told me to do did not fix it. So we called and finally got them to send a service person out. He did not put a new ice maker. He just caulked around the ice bin. Within a day it was jamming again. We called to have a service person come back and fix it. When he came he put a whole new ice maker in. No help! It is still jamming and now it is gathering ice in the chute inside the door and then when the door opens ice flies everywhere.Putting in another ice maker is not going to solve the problems we are having because the blades have too much slack in them and they go behind another blade and they hang up. We called and told them we wanted them to come and get the refrigerator and of course they refused to. The company should not be allowed to sell this kind of junk and then make people keep it. I wish we had known how bad the product was and hope everyone will beware of buying anything Samsung!

I bought a brand new Samsung refrigerator 4 years ago and have had nothing but trouble with the icemaker. After doing a search on the Internet I found hundreds of complaints on the same issue. So I called Samsung and they sent out a technician. That technician told me it would be $1250 to fix because I was out of my one-year warranty. Our dishwasher nightmare continues. We purchased our dishwasher in May 2014 from Lowes, replacing a Kitchenaid. The salesman at Lowes talked us into the Samsung when I specifically said, anything but a Samsung after a terrible experience with their refrigerator. He said that Consumer Reports gave it top ratings and led us to a specific model that had all the features we wanted. We reluctantly bought it but we got a great deal on it. Right after it was installed, there was water left in the bottom after the installer left. I assumed it was because he ran it through some abbreviated cycle so I loaded it, ran the dishes through a cycle and, when I opened it, the water was gone. I thought the problem was solved.About 4 weeks later, I opened the dishwasher to load some dishes and, again, there was standing water in the bottom but the smell was terrible. It was like a combination of old garbage and stagnant water. We called the service department at Lowes because we bought the extended service plan on the dishwasher. The man from A & E came over, looked it over and said - to make it so I did not have to pay for a service call - we will say it was food in the disposal and told me to buy a product called Affresh and use it once a month in the dishwasher. A few days later, I ran one of the Affresh treatments in the dishwasher and for 2-3 days, the dishwasher was fine. No smell, no water in the bottom. But then the smell came back.About a month later, another service man came from A & E and told me that there was nothing he could do about it because the problem was that the dishwasher was draining through my garbage disposal, and the water and smells were backing up from that. He told us we needed a plumber to put in another drain for the dishwasher! REALLY? This is the third dishwasher weve had in this home and the first that we have experienced problems like this with!We went to Lowes to talk to someone and were sent to someone in installation. There, another installer was sent to my house to take a look and he removed a loop that was in the flexible tube from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal. This seemed to stop the water problem. But the smell is still awful! A few nights ago I was loading dishes and my husband walked into the kitchen (about 20 feet away) and he asked me what that terrible smell was!I am trying to be patient and give Lowes a chance to help. I am trying to believe that Samsung will do the right thing. I am losing my patience and my faith. I am afraid to try any of the usual things like white vinegar, Borax, or anything else because the machine is only 6 months old. No more Samsung products for us. Not worth any amount of money saved for the problems they deliver!

We are senior couple. My husband is disabled. Have had our $2500.00 refrigerator about 8 yrs. Freezer and ice maker stopped working. After several calls they finally gave me a repairman number 75 miles away. After reading reviews and checking with several people locally, we found numerous people had the same problem... which the majority still did not have problem solved, because repairman did not know what it was. Several were left torn apart for weeks. We just wanted to talk with someone, to get their opinion if it could be repaired or we would we have to purchase another one... No one will talk with us... Your customer service is no help. AFTER YOU SELL YOU ARE FINISHED WITH THE CUSTOMER. NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR. I called, email, no response from anyone.

On February 21, 2012, I purchased a Samsung DMT300 Series from Sears. The machine never operated well. Dishes, especially glasses, were always dirty after the machine ran. The dishwasher broke down and would not operate. I called Samsung to have it repaired under warranty on Monday, October 29, 2012. According to their records, my dishwasher was over a year old. I told them I had the receipts and then faxed and emailed them the receipts as requested. Samsung outsources their repairs to local vendors. I was given the name and phone number of a local vendor along with a ticket number (**). The earliest appointment the repair shop could give me was for Monday, November 5th. I was told I would get a call in the morning to let me know what time the service person would be coming. No call came at all. I did call three times and was told someone will get back to me. It is now Tuesday morning and still no call has come. Bottom line, do not buy Samsung products. Their warranties are useless and their dishwashers are pieces of garbage.

This Samsung Ref. RSA1NTIS 19.4 CU FT we bought 9/30/2012 at SM Appliance Center NE-The Block broke down even before it reached 1 year. Defrosting in a day or 2 after its plugged in. It has been out of order since Oct 2013 up to this day. Countless of frozen goods spoiled every time the service technician plugs it & claims the parts are good. Parts replaced, repaired repeatedly, technician even asked us to buy gadget to guard power fluctuations but to no avail. Been servicing the unit for almost 7 months & technicians says its functioning okay. I bought a ref/freezer. But its not freezing even when set to power freeze.Lost track of the countless times we called up the Service Center, Samsung main office & SM Appliance NE-The Block, not to mention my personal appearances to personally lodge my complaints, but until now Samsung Ref. remains a trash. The floodings in our floor after sometime every time it is plugged, the money put to waste for spoiled foods, the days I have to go on leave or the days my nephew have to absent himself from school waiting for the technician to come, the emotional stress this ref. had brought the entire family esp. to me & my husband abroad who had been helping me to call Samsung, these among other things brought nightmare to our otherwise peaceful living. No functional ref. for 7 months & counting...

Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF217ACRS - This is the worst refrigerator we have ever had. We are a small family and this fridge has had to be repaired three separate times due to flimsy plastic parts breaking. The moveable tray is a joke. If you place more than a pound of cold cuts in it, it will break. I notice that Samsung no longer manufacturers their french door refrigerators with this feature so guess that other people have had this problem as well. Terrible, terrible product and poor customer service. We will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance again.

After 3 years of very light use, around June 2013, my Samsung microwave stopped suddenly giving a different beep. All buttons of the keypad were inoperable. Nothing of this mentioned in the user manual. I called service engineer & he too had no idea about the error code. He asked us to replace the keypad unit but did not return after that. I just chanced to look for the solution of the problem in net & to my disbelief exactly the same problem is faced by so many all around the world and the Samsung guys have found a way to earn more bucks on pretext of repairing their own manufacturing defect. Shame on them.

$500 Ice Maker Repair on 2.5-Year-Old Unit - We purchased a French-door refrigerator in July 2010. The ice maker stopped working about two weeks ago. The circuit control board for the ice maker and the ice maker need to be replaced. The repairman said this was a known issue. I contacted Samsung. I was treated nicely and transferred to an expert. But, they said there was nothing they could do - not even offer us the replacement parts - since the warranty was only one year. We paid just under $1,400 for this item. We definitely will not purchase a Samsung anything in the future. Crappy products and no customer service. Maybe they should understand that losing a customer is more costly than sending a replacement part.

We bought all new Samsung appliances for our new home due to their cheap price for the collection. First warning sign. Not impressed with the dishwasher. Severely pissed with the refrigerator. The French door design of having the ice maker in the fridge section is poorly designed. Though, we had great results from similar concept but that was a Kenmore Elite at our previous home. The ice maker is not as bad as others after a year or two, but we have only had it for 6 months before problems erupted. Ice builds in the ice maker on all the components not allowing for cubes to be made for passage into the ice tray. 9 months into ownership and we are making our own ice. Read other stories and you will find the same issue. Spend the extra couple hundred dollars to get working appliances - you can thank me later.

We purchased all our appliances for our new home. Everything still works but our icemaker on our Samsung Refrigerator. We paid 2,000 plus for this item and icemaker maybe worked 6 months. All froze up and leaks down from of our refrigerator. It is such an inconvenience, to have to fill ice trays and break our own ice. Having the drawer for a freezer is hard to place ice trays and it takes up space to store the ice we made. I called Samsung and they are denying any issues with their icemakers. Lady acted like she had never heard of this issue. I feel like we are living in the dinosaur age with this, but I cant justify buying a new refrigerator and we shouldnt have to, Samsung needs to repair this defective product that they sold to hundreds of people like me.

Samsung’s idea of customer service is “3 – 5 business days and someone will call you”. At this point we have been without a functioning refrigerator (I consider a refrigerator to be a basic need in this day and age) for 14 days! The specifics are below: A service tech was sent to ‘fix’ the problem one week after we first reported the problems to Samsung. The fix/part replacement (2 different parts were tried) did not correct the problem. The Tech talked with Samsung’s technical support from our home and said, My office will call you on Monday (9 days after the report to Samsung). On Wednesday (11 days after the report to Samsung) the same tech is back with a 3rd different part. Still not the answer. At this point, it is determined that we need a whole new refrigerator (current unit is only 6 months old). The Tech entered a ticket into the system AND once again it is 3 – 5 days before someone will call us. Not, 3 – 5 days and you will have a new refrigerator – NO, 3 – 5 days and someone will talk with you about what can be done. Now it has been exactly 14 days since our Samsung refrigerator has worked. Still we have not received a call from anyone from Samsung regarding the solution to our problem. This was my first Samsung refrigerator; it will be my last.

OTR Samsung Microwave model SMH9207ST - I purchased first microwave in 2012 at Lowes and within the first year the plastic latch on the door handle broke off and the door would not close. Fortunately I was able to replace it at the store with same model. So now after a little over 2 years the panel in bottom right side that has the buttons for light and vent started sticking. After spraying with WD40 they started working again. But last night that ended when all of the buttons just pushed completely in behind the panel. So now it looks bad and I cant turn the vent off or use the light buttons. Like many others, I spent more on this model ($450) because of its stylish looks and because I thought I was getting a quality product... not so!

So sad. Built a beautiful home almost 2 years ago (June 2015). Was so excited to have a nice kitchen. We decided on a Samsung suite for the kitchen. The problems started with our dishwasher. Didnt clean the dishes and smelled of garbage every time you opened it. Had numerous tech calls to fix never was. My last straw was when they didnt show up for another appointment after taking an afternoon off from work. We replaced it with a Bosch after only 8 months. My microwave doesnt turn. It used to but we discovered (after warranty was up) that the plate feet were too big for the part on bottom of microwave to turn it. So the refrigerator. Small issue but the bottom deli tray cover comes off every single time you open the drawer. It is too small for the drawer.Called Samsung and they sent us another one. Same issue. Go into Best Buy and look at the floor model and it works and fits perfectly. Not sure why ours does that. Last month noticed that the same drawer was stuck. Pulled it out and there is a buildup of ice on bottom. Cleaned it all up and has happened again. I am sitting here with two coolers, a dorm refrigerator and my RV refrigerator filled and my Samsung unplugged and empty. I have read that this is an issue. Almost to point of just wanting a new refrigerator. I wish I had the money to replace right now. Dont want to deal with Samsung products again. (Also have a 55 Samsung flat screen and the picture turns off randomly and you have to shut it all down and restart).

Bought a French door with middle divided door model 3 months ago. It stopped freezing and cooling but digital display indicated temp ok. After discovering food in freezer thawed and no ice, had to discard contents. Samsung sent repair man and he replaced parts and left. It was not fixed. Called back for second visit for repair and did not have needed parts. Came back 3rd time and replaced motherboard on January 20th. 3 weeks later, same problem. Discard food, called Samsung and insisted on replacement and was told technician would come out and deem it unrepairable. I agreed but said will not allow another repair. Tech came out with more parts to fix it. I refused repair, just asked him to determine that the same issue had occurred. That was yesterday. Today on multiple calls with Samsung customer support and was told it would have to be fixed again, refused to replace this obviously defective unit. This model I have was the worst engineered product that has been seen on the market. Samsungs have all the bells and whistles, great novel my useful designs but the quality is not up to the price asked. The repairman said they tried for three years to fix the ice buildup problem and finally got it right after three years. I find that I still see ice, though it has not stopped cooling but it feels like skating on thin ice and that it will break again at any given moment. JCPenney now has appliances and they are phasing out selling Samsung. The enameled on their stoves is so thin. As is the paint on the refrigerator. I wont buy this brand again. The new features are always enticing with this brand but dont fall for it. By the way read about the problems And complaints before you read the glowing reviews about any appliance and always buy the extended warranty if you cant afford a big repair bill visit. Most appliances the repair person told me appliances need a repair in 1 1/2 years to 3 years. They just dont make them like they use to. And dont think high end and huge price is also an indication of quality, it just may be a status brand.

RF217ACRS - Bought fridge in June 2010. Freezer stopped working in June 2014. It was still under 5-year Sealed Refrigeration System Warranty, so I went through a Samsung referred repair company. Our first visit was on 6/27. After our 10th repair visit on Sept 12, 2014, all of which entailed numerous attempts and were coordinated with Samsung Technical Support via telephone, our fridge was deemed unrepairable. (I have invoices and notes documenting each visit.) After 6 different Samsung repair ticket numbers obtained while working with Samsung Executive Customer Service to get Warranty compensation, I was exhausted. When I called them, I was on hold from 17:8 to 47:12 minutes each time and told something different every time. At one point I was talking to an individual in CA (address was residential via phone # look-up). They broke me down when they told me that our repairman should have gotten a 7000# from the Samsung Tech at the time the system was deemed unrepairable. We went entire summer without a working freezer. We would have dumped the refrigerator earlier had we known warranty was not going to come through. I could go on, but I think readers have the idea and the point(s) I am making about Samsung Refrigerators and their Executive Customer Service.

Fridge ice maker always jams up with ice and cracked the inside, Back panel of the fridge freezes up causing the fan to stop and have to unthaw entire fridge every time. Dishwasher racks now need tie straps to hold them up as the brackets continuously crumble into pieces, and we have had to take off the front panel and fix electrical problems, door seal leaks and dishes are ALWAYS coming out dirty. Tried every brand of soap, jet dry, even rinsed dishes before they go in. We even have the one that is suppose to gar-borate your food, doesnt work! Samsung STOVE: electrical plug melted my toaster cord, glass top cracked on its on, Yes, Im very careful and it didnt have a scratch on it, ON ITS ON, while warming up, it cracked. Heres the conclusion to my review. The repair tech came to my home today and saw the blinking light on the Samsung refrigerator. He said hed have to look this up online. His response: “Your freezer fan is blocked by ice. It will cost $240.00.” The $110.00 service fee would be waived if I wanted him to remove the ice, but if the sensor was broken, thats $80. And if the fan was also broken, another $80. The warranty for the work was only 90 days. So, I gave him his $110 for wasting my time and sent him on his way, then proceeded to take apart my freezer (unscrewed everything). Once the back panel was removed, it was covered in so much ice I boiled water to melt it and knocked it away from the wires. I checked to make sure my plugs were fitted properly. I took out the fan - it looked fine. 2 hours later, it’s working again; no flashing lights, the freezer and fridge were cold again and all I needed was a Phillips screwdriver. I would recommend trying this first if you have a couple of hours. It will save you time and money.

We bought our counter depth refrigerator in May of 2015. After six months the ice maker stopped working. We had a Samsung service person come out to fix it. He informed us that he had numerous calls about this type of ice maker and it is one of the worse design he has seen. I have tried contacting Samsung many times about this ice maker for this model and never heard anything back. I wrote several more times and received nothing back. Now with all their phone issues I tried again and of course got a blah blah blah letter that was completely useless. I wrote back stating that Ive done everything on their list. This letter wants me to use their Samsung people to have it serviced. Ive already purchased Geek Squad from Best Buy extended warranty. Now the ice maker has completely stopped working. Also if anyone has suggestions on what to do about this issue please respond. If anyone is having similar problems could you please write about it here. I would like to get a list going so that as a group we may get something done to help all of us. Also if considering a Samsung appliance do not buy!!!

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher serial # DW80F600UTW at Home Depot in October 2013. The machine worked well until May 2015 when it began flashing an Error Code- smart auto +heavy=overfill. I contacted an approved service provider who contacted Samsung Technical Support and was informed that: a) There was a bulletin on that model regarding overfill issues. b) Three parts were required to resolve the issue. c) These parts would cost over $400. The repair technician advised me that this was a manufacturing problem and that I, as a consumer, should not have to pay the bill to have the problem repaired. I contacted Samsung and spoke with a customer service representative who referred me to the Executive Customer Relations Department who informed me that Samsung is not willing to provide the necessary parts to resolve the error code.I am not satisfied with this response. I purchased a machine that requires the parts mentioned above to work properly. I am sure it is not Samsungs policy to create machines worth several hundred dollars to only work for one year. This is not a problem created through customer use, misuse, or abuse; it is a problem created through faulty manufacturing. I am willing to pay the labor to have the machine repaired but I believe it is Samsungs responsibility to provide the necessary parts.

We were thrilled to finally shop for our appliances for our brand new home! Bought Samsung and though it LOOKS nice, what a crappy piece of a machine it is!!! First off, this started months ago and the appliance is only 14 months old!!! The numbers for the dial started coming off as I cleaned it. Then, a month ago, the time showing on the clock stopped showing, instead, an SE started flashing. I looked at troubleshooting in manual and it said to press clear, I did and it worked for a few days!!! After few days, SE showed up again, and could not fix. Stove too worked, oven didnt. Yay. Repair man just left, ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! $289 later... **, shouldve bought one of those unattractive, coil stoves, those last for decades!!! DISAPPOINTED EXPERIENCE WITH OUR FIRST SAMSUNG APPLIANCE. Do I hear class action suit?

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. The ice maker didnt work on day one, they sent someone to replace it. This should have been a clue to us, after about 18 months it quit working again. Repair guy replaced the ice maker TWICE with no luck. Finally Samsung informed him that he needed to replace the ice maker and the board at the same time in order for it to work. It lasted about 9 months and is broken again. During that time it would stop making ice for a few days (I like to say it went on vacation which I cant afford to do because I have to keep repairing my stupid ice maker!!). Anyway, now its no longer making any ice - I think it decided to retire and move to a warmer climate. Now were buying bags of ice, which is a pain in the you know what, I cant stand room temperature water. Never, never, ever buy a Samsung refrigerator.

We purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator from Lowes in January of 2015. To date we have had almost a dozen service calls because the freezer frosts over and the refrigerator quits cooling. Many parts have been installed in an attempt to fix the problems but nothing has worked. Lowes is not standing behind this product and we cannot get any help from Samsung. We have lost tons of food and are very frustrated.

I have had this refrigerator (Samsung RF217ACBP) for a little over two years. We have had to fix the ice maker twice because it keeps making ice even when the ice bin is full, then it malfunctions. We figured this out; now we just shut it off every night. A few months ago, we noticed that the veggie crisper has water in it. Now it is so bad that I cannot use the crisper. After research, I realized that it is a known issue. Samsung admitted to me that it is a known problem, but since my warranty is out, I would have to pay to have it fixed. Hows that for great service. I am chalking it up to dont ever buy a Samsung!

Within months of purchasing my RF23J9011SR counter depth 4 door fridge...ice maker stopped working. I defrosted it several times and it did work but you can hear the gear (auger) clicking. Then 1.5 yr later, it completely stopped working. I believe the design is flawed as the ice maker sits in the refrigerator section and not the freezer area. Having different temperatures, plastic gears, etc...are probably the root cause. Fortunately, Samsung did honor a one time warranty so that it wouldnt cost me the $610 to replace the case auger and ice maker via the authorized repair place.

I own a Samsung Refrigerator model RT33FARZASP/TL, purchased two and half years ago. The refrigerator bears 10 years warranty which is not cooling at all. I lodged a complaint with Samsung customer care, they sent their representative who said gas of the refrigerator has leaked out and I have to pay for the visiting charges and gas filling charges plus parts. When I said, its under warranty, he said warranty is only for compressor. I argued gas remains in the compressor only, and if it has leaked that means the compressor is not good but he didnt accept my argument and insisted to pay the cost of repair. Gas filling will be done by them on 30.04.2017. Earlier I had been using other brands, normally they work 10-15 years flawless.

We purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator Model RF267ABRS in May of 2009. We bought an extended warranty from Lowes at the time of purchase which was a good thing!! Within 6 months we started having problems with ice forming underneath the deli drawer and out of the holes in the inside, back of refrigerator. We called the warranty company and they sent out a technician within 2 days. He informed us that this is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators as the drainage tube in the rear of the refrigerator is too small and ices up. He advised us to defrost the refrigerator and he would return IN 4 DAYS, once it was totally defrosted and run a line through the tube to check for blockages. He advised me to call Samsung regarding this problem. I did call and the service rep told me they had NEVER had this problem with their refrigerators before and refused to do anything about it. I told her it was all over the reviews and she told me they dont read them. (HA-HA)!!! I requested to speak with a Supervisor and was told the same thing. Since that time, I have called them a total of 6 times with no resolution other than being told to DEFROST when this happens!!! I thought I was buying a FROST-FREE REFRIGERATOR but Samsung seems to think otherwise, taking no responsibility for their product. Six months later, the same thing happened. This time before the warranty company would not send anyone out until the refrigerator was DEFROSTED FOR 4 DAYS. He came out and again ran a line through the tube and left. Since then, this piece of junk freezes up every 4 months and has to be totally defrosted for 4 days to de-ice it. I will never buy anything from Samsung again as they do not stand behind their products. To have paid the amount of $$$ on this and have them completely ignore the problem is poor business practice and tells a lot about the company and how it is run. NEVER AGAIN!

I bought a Samsung mirror-finished two-door fridge at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2007, in Geant Store Khuraise. My kids phoned me that it is not getting cold. I said to them, they must switch it off as it might burn them. It never made some ice. It was installed by Nirvana Ageng Samsung Polopkoane. I told them the same agent came and open my fridge, and he said it is the compressor. I must wait so that they can check if it is still under warranty. They never came back.We kept on calling him, but no answer. I went to Bokstreet Samsung branch. They said it is not under warranty. If it never makes some ice, they will fix it, but I will pay all costs+transportation. Now it is about 3 years. I reported it to South Africa, and Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. I need my money back or a new fridge. I will give you up to the end of this month. I will go to LG. I paid a lot of money for that fridge. I have already sent my complaint to consumer lawyers.

We had the absolute worst experience with Samsung. We called because our freezer was 2.5 years old and both ice makers broken in addition to the freezer. Our freezer wasnt staying at the correct temperature. I called to see what, if anything they can do. They advised me that there is no warranty. I requested the information for an authorized Samsung repairer (they did not offer). I was told that I would need to call and set up the appointment since I was no longer under warranty. I expressed how disappointed I was that our refrigerator was broken and was under 3 years old. He continued to reminded me there is no warranty so that was the end of that. I then called the number provided by the Samsung representative and did not speak with anyone. I chatted with a representative over the internet and explained that I could not get in contact with them and explained that I am loyal customer of Samsung for over 10 years and am in need of assistance. He could not do anything other than tell me that my warranty has expired and that I should call the number provided. I called a total of 4 times and left 2 voice messages. I then contacted via chat to beg for help and he then provided a number to Samsung Emergency Help. However at this exact time my husband was at the house with an unauthorized repair company because we have now been 4 days without a refrigerator and have a house of 6 to provide for. The emergency repair representative said that they cannot help because an unauthorized has touched our appliance. The unauthorized repair man confirmed we had a freon leak which was the reason our temperature was not right in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments in addition to having broken ice makers. The Freon had a 5 year warranty and when a supervisor called me back she said I should have looked at the manual and that that was my responsibility. I reminded her that I told the rep I spoke with everything and I am not too savvy when it comes to diagnosing issues with my refrigerator so I did not know it was the freon, I clearly communicated that the freezer and refrigerator temps where not right and the original rep I communicated that too agreed but still told me I have no warranty so I believed I had no warranty.I was repeatedly blamed for not arguing with the rep about the freon and warranty issue. They blamed me for getting a unauthorized repair man, They said I should have kept calling them when I got no response from their authorized repair facility. The chat rep disconnected/hung up on me (still had questions), when I asked to speak with the supervisor - she stated, You actually spoke with my supervisor already, and went on to explain that her supervisor passed it to her to handle when I requested a supervisor and that I could not speak to anyone else. The supervisor blamed me for not setting an appointment up through them (even after I told her I was clearly told that I have to do it). I did not raise my voice nor did I at anytime use vulgarities or insult anyone that I spoke with.I reminded them that I was a loyal customer with over 14 Samsung products that includes appliances, phones, media equipment, and tables and it meant nothing. I suggested they at least give me a coupon to purchase something else and all was denied. I cannot and will not patronize a company that has such bad service. I talked to Samsung 3 times by phone when I called, 2 time when a supervisor called me, and 2 times by chat and I did not have an acceptable experience. I feel as if the product was defective if everything broke within a week of each other and it was only 2.5 years old. Terrible Service, no I am purchasing a new refrigerator and will not consider a Samsung product again.

Our Samsung fridge, purchased with our townhome in 2012 has an obnoxious odor coming from it. We have removed everything, turned off, cleaned thoroughly, restarted and still the odor persists. Smell does not come from anywhere specific (that we can locate) but is strong enough to permeate throughout our house. We called Samsung and were told to check our fridge for rotten food - daaah! 2005 Samsung microwave -SE- on display. Microwave high end that has an auto cook for types of food. I saw the post about the sensor and read others online for only 10 min. Said it was a humidity sensor that was shorted inside microwave, not a panel. My microwave was totally unusable. No buttons worked and unplugging power had no effect. I am fairly good at fixing things. And it said that you had to replace sensor. But after about five min., I remembered what I last cooked. I cooked corn. I bet that sensor is dirty. Inside on the ceiling of the microwave is a small 1/4 inch hole that the sensor fits. I sprayed it with aerosol isopropyl alcohol. Instant! : 0 on display, the -SE- was gone. The sensor was dirty and caused the microwave to lockup. I did not use but can suggest maybe a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol. A spray worked for me. My microwave is working. Thanks for the info on this site. It helped. Lot of work saved.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2013 RS265TDRS. Immediately the ice maker had issues, and I have to continue to defrost the ice maker monthly and the dispenser gets clogged. It was embedded in the door, now I see they have abandoned that approach. My bigger issue is that this year the refrigerator stopped working and wouldnt cool. The temperature gauge showed 38 degrees but it was warm and all food spoiled. Had to pay a repairman to come out and tell us this is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators and they need to be defrosted constantly, especially in humid areas and not to use the energy saving setting. He basically indicated the auto defrost is no longer working and it would be cheaper to buy a new fridge than to fix this one. Even though Samsung shows 10 year warranty on the compressor, what good is that if you cant use the fridge after only 6 years and after talking to Samsung they only cover their product for 1 year. Lowes had a 3 year extended warranty. Repairman said he has better experiences with other brands.

I have a Samsung French door, bottom freezer and dual ice maker. It stopped making ice and stopped freezing my food in mid July. Its now September. 9 work orders later and many things fixed, I still dont have ice or frozen freezer. Thank God I had the brains to purchase a warranty when I bought the fridge. The price to fix the unfixed fridge now exceeds what I paid for it. Samsung needs to step up and take responsibility, take the fridge back to the drawing board and start all over, make it right or stop making fridges. STICK TO CELL PHONES. I still am without a freezer waiting for second MAIN CONTROL BOARD.

We purchased our Samsung RF 4287HARS in 2011 and began using it in 2012. The ice dispenser has stopped working because of a broken plastic switch inside the dispenser module. The ice maker is producing ice but it cannot be dispensed from the dispenser. Based on a little investigating we have found this is not an uncommon problem. We contacted Samsung on several occasions to correct this apparent product defect. Trying to get someone on the telephone has been challenging and extremely time consuming. At this point, we have not received a favorable response. It appears that the product (see attached picture) is defective and poorly designed but Samsung is not responding to our requests for assistance. The problem with water in the drawers and on floor of refrigerator section
The problem with water in the drawers and on floor of refrigerator section is quite common. The drain tube gets iced up. You need to replace the evaporator cover in the refrigerator section. You also need to add a drain probe to carry heat from the defrost heater into the drain tube. Before you can remove the cover, you must defrost ref for 24 hours with doors open, unplugged. To remove rear cover in ref section remove 2 screws along bottom edge and then remove plug in center near top and remove screw under it. Start prying from each side from the bottom. Release 2 plugs at top left. Make sure drain hole in tray under evaporator is clear of ice by pouring hot water down it. Install new probe and install new cover. I think that if you go to searsparts.com and enter your model number you should be able find the correct parts.

I bought this Samsung RS277ACPN side by side fridge in 2009 at Lowes. A year after the purchase (just couple of months after the warranty expired), the ice maker didnt work, it cost me around $250 to fix the problem. Lately, 30 months after the purchase, the fridge fan motor does not work. The Carter service couldnt repair it due to the evap fan motor part Samsung listed for this model does not fit my fridge when the part arrives. The service man had dealt with Samsung two times for the reorder of the part, and the part still does not fit. So, evap fan motor part no. DA31-00146E is supposed to be the right part, but the actual thing does not match the original motor fan in my fridge. A month went by and my fridge is making a lawn mower noise off and on. The ice is piled up at the bottom of the vegetable drawer. My fridge is not repairable because Samsung does not have the correct part and no one bothers to correct it. 3 of 4 Samsung appliances have now died in 5 yrs. Today SMH9187 microwave door latch broke after giving Error 13 the other day. Worse, Samsung dishwasher broke in 18 months and not only leaked on my hardwood floors but got so hot I needed a potholder to turn off after 5 hrs and it wouldnt stop. Lowes at least stepped in, said these were so bad I got a new Bosch Ive loved now for 3 yrs. Samsung counter depth refrigerator also had icemaker die in under 2 yrs. Lowes replaced it due to extended warranty but now 3 yrs later I tried again with warranty expired. Also had 2 Samsung LCD TVs die in 2 yrs, with both a Blu-ray player and separate DVD go belly up in that time too. Stupid name for ever buying anything from them after 2nd item. We bought a Samsung refrigerator - French doors with freezer drawer on bottom model #RF217ACWP-XAA - in July 2012. What a MISTAKE! It was not even one year old, and the fridge wasnt cooling, the freezer was defrosting, over one inch of water was accumulating in both crisper drawers, and the ice maker stopped working. The fan built up with ice and would make a loud noise until it would freeze up solid. This is happening again for the FOURTH time since 2013! Three different repairmen have been here to fix the problems, and each one found low freon due to leakage. The last repairman who was here said the leaks are due to manufacturer defects, as there were faulty welds in the solder joints in the back of the sealed systems unit. Samsung has not been willing to replace the fridge or refund our purchase price. They refuse to acknowledge that they are selling defective merchandise to consumers. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product, and I advise others to do the same. If there is not a class action suit pending against Samsung, then there should be. Samsung Microwave Model SMH9207ST - We have had a Lowes Tech over 4 times due to our malfunctioning microwave. We love the microwave and its styling but we have had issues with it. When the door is opened, it will reset the date/time causing us to reset everything. This problem is off/on and unpredictable. The tech replaced the door already but it continued to malfunction a few months later. He said the door design pinches the wires when opening and closing and Samsung is aware of this. He ordered an updated door design but it has been back ordered several times. Today, the fan came on high all by itself! It scared the crap out of us and I have concerns that this thing isnt safe! What if the oven starts while we are away? I guess we will unplug the damn thing when we are not using it. We have numerous Samsung appliances which we love but this microwave is a dud. These problems are causing me to question Samsungs quality and commitment concerning customer care. Thank goodness for Lowes Extended Warranty as all this would be costly to fix.

We bought Samsung fridge on 11 June 2016 (Model No. RT39K5538S9) from BAJAJ ELECTRONICS. Within a week started formation of ice inside the fridge. We kept quiet and it started leaking water in 1st month. We raised compliant (No. **). Customer care people instead of coming to site and rectifying they instructed to do switch off the fridge let the ice melts. We did and one week it is fine. Again started forming ice. Again we raised compliant (No. **). Service engineer came this time and said PCB and Sensor needs to be replaced. Why Samsung is selling damaged products to customers? Without a proper check they are supplying products to the showrooms which is causing problems to consumers. We bought that fridge with 44,000 and suffering a lot. Instead of replacing the product if it is having problem they are repairing the fridge as it is 5 or 10 year old fridge. Disgusting. We informed all our apartment, colleagues and friends, approx. 75 people, not to buy Samsung products and they will not buy for sure.

I purchased my Samsung dishwasher model number DW7933LRASR in November 2014. Within the first year the circuit board went. When I called the repair company and explained the problem they knew right away to bring the new board as others had same issue. Within a few months of the repair and after the warranty was out the same problem occurred. This time I have to pay to have the company confirm its the same problem - if it is Samsung will pay for the board but I have to pay for the repair (the company is in another town an hour away so probably cheaper to buy a new dishwasher!). I purchased a double oven stove and refrigerator too - no major issues but not 100% happy so would not recommend any Samsung home appliances. The dishwasher is certainly problematic and Samsung does not care about its customers!!!

Same experience as others. French door refrigerator 16 months old, and we are not here 6 months of the yr. Have Home appliance warranty but took a month to get fixed, Samsung parts are backlogged over a month. Icemaker makes 4 cubes then doesn’t work. Samsung refuses to do anything, many CS representative conversations. Would never buy another.

I had the fridge for 2 years and 2 months. The top section does not work. The product has been in for repairs twice and is still not fixed. I have paid a lot of money for this product. Can you please advise as to what to do?
