Easy to use and clean. Love the two oven doors, which makes cooking much more flexible. Needed assistance as oven not heating at first, which was promptly resolved by Samsung. Only wish Range was part of Samsungs SmartThings portfolio.

This is an update to my previous post on my 3 and 1/2 year old fridge that quit working. I filled out a form from the Samsung site on the issue with the fridge and got a stock *received* form type letter back on the 18th. There was no mention of repairs, how to handle the problem, or if they were going to do anything. When I was on their website, it said the fridge was out of warranty and when I searched for appliance repair dealers, I got 0 results back. After reading pages of complaints all over the web with the same issues (bad ice makers, and the cooling issue), we decided we would not throw good money after bad in trying to fix it. We bought a new top rated GE (which will be delivered next month as we wanted a very specific model) and on 12-23, Lowes hauled the broken Samsung off (to the dump I guess). After the fridge was gone, later that evening, we get a UPS delivery of an envelope with a generic return address. We have no idea who sent it, instructions, nothing but a part; a temperature sensor that plugged into something. So I google the address and find its a Sears warehouse. I call them and they look up the order number and say its a Samsung part. So, I get a temp sensor, no idea it was even being sent from Samsung who when I look at my account online with my complaint, says the action was cancelled by **me** on 12-18. To say this whole thing has been frustrating is a big understatement. In fact, I am not sure a new sensor would have even fixed the problem from what I have been reading all over the internet.

RF263BEAESER - I have had this $2700.00 refrigerator for 8 months and had to call a repairman out for the 2nd time because the freezer quit working again! We have lost between $400.00 and $500.00 in frozen meats, dinners, etc. from spoiling and simply cannot afford to keep doing this. The French doors do not seal properly and food spoils easily in the refrigerator as well. I dont trust this appliance any further than I could throw it and Samsung refuses to take responsibility for the faulty design! Worst experience of my life - I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT AS LONG AS I LIVE. Hey Samsung... can you comprehend lawsuit?

Bought a Samsung slide in stainless oven/range. After 2 months the glass top cracked. Had to argue with them to the point I contacted a VP and they replaced it. After that, about 6 months one of the 2 large burners would come on and stay on high regardless of the position of the controller. After two almost fires the burner quit and now doesn’t work. One of the small burners comes on low and stays there. Samsung wants nothing to do with me or the stove. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again.

After six months from date of purchase, the fan would go on by itself. I wasnt using the microwave or the stove and would be in another room. Called for service and the technician said it was a circuit breaker fuse. He told me once he fixed it, it would never happen again. Well, its been a year now and it is happening again. Also when the light under the microwave is on, it will go off and on as the microwave door is opened and closed. The only way I feel this junk is safe is to unplug it when Im not using it. Is there a lawsuit going on I need to know about?

I bought a Samsung dishwasher from Home Depot last year. Screws have fallen out so that it wobbles and leans forward when putting dishes in and out of the washer. I complained to the store when it was only 6 mo. old. They told me to call the Samsung. The company told me to call the installer which Home Depot supplied and could not tell me who it was. No one would take responsibility. So I paid approx $400.00 for a dishwasher that is always wobbling.

SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR MODEL# RF23J9011SR/AA - We purchased 3 years ago. Has similar freezer problems as stated in other reviews. The counter depth style of this unit is what we required. The icemaker freezes up. The technician came out and proceeded to use steam to fix the problem. It froze up again within a few days. We are very disappointed with the poor quality of this expensive unit in our kitchen. Fortunately we kept our KitchenAid side by side which continues to surpass the quality of the Samsung product. We get perfect ice cubes dispensed from our KitchenAid. We will be looking forward to our next KitchenAid refrigerator with a properly operating ice dispenser.

Like most of the respondents here, I will never consider the purchase of another Samsung product. Unfortunately in our current age, we are all well aware that companies simply dont have our best interests in mind. Samsung, however, rises to new levels of bureaucratic road blocks to service. More importantly is the fact they not only obscure what has transpired and been discussed previously, but just bold faced lie about they have or have not said.We purchased a large black side-by-side refrigerator in April of 2011. We have had more or less constant problems ever since (as mentioned elsewhere, the ice maker is a nightmare). We finally gave up on ever getting any service from Samsung. They have 2 certified repairmen in Hawaii (many repair services are qualified, but not certified, which means they cant perform warranty service). The demise of the refrigerator and our relationship with Samsung began its culmination last year when we had to pay out of pocket to replace the Motherboard, $400.00. Them 3 weeks ago the freezer stopped working. I got my previous non-certified repairman to check it out. He said the compressor had died. The good news is that its covered under warranty and most manufacturers will just refund some portion of the purchase price. After getting a hold of Samsung, I was told they would get a repair person out in 2 weeks (**). 3 days later, the refrigerator component also ceased working. I called Samsung back and demanded to be connected with the next level of service. This time I was told that they agree the wait was unacceptable and I would be refunded a portion of the purchase price. Oh, and by the way, despite the fact that I had previously been assured that the repair company (an 800 service) would have the necessary parts when they arrived, they had not in fact ordered any parts! In case youre wondering about the refund, they now contend that that option had never been discussed (**).So not only was I told that it would be 2 weeks to get a repair person out, but they would then have to order parts. I live in Hawaii, so its a foregone conclusion that the wait for those parts will be inordinate. After stewing about this for several days, I again contacted Samsung and this time I was informed that I had been informed that the repairs would not be covered by Samsung because it was out of warranty. I emphatically stated that no such thing had ever been discussed! The compressor is covered for 5 years. They eventually agreed that the compressor was still covered, then they hemmed and hawed, but in the end I was left without a working refrigerator and a many month repair process, if at all. Bottom line folks, avoid all Samsung products like the plague. I wish I had read these comments before I considered my purchase!

My washer was broken after 2 years and could not be repaired, had to replace with a new one and spend another $1,000. My fridge was serviced within months of purchase. I purchased a Samsung Model # ME18H704SFS Over the Counter Microwave April 17, 2017. I was away two months over this past winter, so the microwave was used about a year. It matched my new Samsung $1300.00 oven perfectly. One day last week, it just stopped working. We tried troubleshooting it and then called the company after that. Unfortunately, it was about 14 months since we purchased it and was no longer under warranty. After pleading the employee from Samsung for some help, they said to call a service center. I was told by two of them that they would charge me $100.00 nonrefundable for just coming (which I understand) and then parts and labor. He said if it is the motherboard or any other thing like that, it could cost $200.00 or more to repair with only a 90 day warranty. It breaks my heart but I had to throw it out. It was beautiful but did not work. I will never buy a Samsung product. We went to Consumers and found out it was rated most poorly. I now am in the process of purchasing either a Whirpool or Frigidaire since they got good ratings. We are heartsick about wasting all the money we spent over a year ago for this item. By the way, there was nothing wrong with my Kenmore over the counter microwave oven that was a Kenmore and 20 years old. It was white and we redid our kitchen in all stainless steel appliances. Fortunately, we gave it to someone who is still enjoying it. Please do yourself a favor and dont get sucked in with the Samsung company. They are unreliable appliances and really dont care about you once you buy their product.

Samsung ME21F707MJT - Purchased in May of 2016. It was a great product at first, but 1 or 2 buttons began to fail after 12 months. I didnt do anything about it as they are intermittent. Some days they would work and others days nothing. Now it is 18 months since buying and about half of the buttons do not work. As many other reviews have stated this is a common problem. So it appears that I am stuck with a semi working microwave.

My microwave, purchased in late 2010 finally started showing the dreaded SE error message about two weeks ago. The device appeared to be getting phantom button presses (fortunately not the start button) and beeping until I pulled the power plug. Tried a few times to clean the flex cable connecting the keypad to the controller card, but now that only makes it functional for a day or two. Was amazed to see that this fragile connection spans 8+ years of production. Seeing that this has happened to so many others, makes me feel lucky that I got this much use out of it.

I bought this dishwasher from LOWES along with a matching Stove, Refrigerat
I bought this dishwasher from LOWES along with a matching Stove, Refrigerator and Microwave because I had all white appliance and the Refrigerator went bad after ten years so, I decided I wanted all my appliances to match and stainless steel seemed to be the trend. I bought Samsung because I ran a Circuit City and all our Samsung TVs were the best. 6 months after I purchased the Samsung appliances my wife started to complain about the dishwasher saying the dishes were not getting clean and then she complained that the detergent dispenser didnt open and then it was not finishing the washing cycle. We then called LOWES and told them the problem and they said make sure its a real problem because if they call out a repair person and there is nothing wrong they would charge us.So, I decided to look online to see if I could trouble shoot the problem. I found hundreds of people with the same problem as me. One of them claimed to have a fix. Take apart the Drain cover and clean the white sensor and then put it back together. I did exactly that, and it fixed the problem... for about two months. Then I had to take it apart again and clean the sensor, solving the problem for another 2 months. This has gone on every two months for about a year now and I am beyond disgust with Samsung. So I went back to the internet to see if there might be a more permanent fix to my problem only to find hundreds more people and complaints on the same dishwasher with the same problem. Still no permanent fix to be found just lots of frustrated people like me venting about their disappointment. I cant afford to buy all new appliances only 1 1/2 years later so I will be stuck taking my dishwasher apart every two months for several years to come. However, at the very least I can complain and just maybe it will keep someone else from making the same purchase mistake.

My refrigerator is 4 yrs old and I will never buy another Samsung. The fans in the back panel froze up due to the ice maker problem and I had to have a repairman replace them to the tune of $400. I have a less than 2 yr. old Samsung 4-door fridge. Two months after I got it the ice maker started dripping. It took 7 service calls to finally fix it by replacing the fan on the motor. Now it is only cooling to 50 degrees in the fridge part. Freezer is ok. I called Home Depot warranty dept. and they called a TV repair shop (???) to come look at it. The shop told me they wanted to order parts before looking at it. Ten days later they tell me the parts arent all in and they will try to make it out on Mon (this is Fri) if the parts come in. This is so unacceptable! I would think a fridge that cost over $3000 should not be breaking down in the first place. Samsung says since I didnt buy their warranty, tough luck. After reading all of the reviews, I have a really bad feeling about this whole mess. Whatever happened to good service???UPDATED ON 09/24/2015: In my review back in July I reported that my Samsung fridge was not cooling and that I was having difficulty getting someone to repair it. Since then, the TV repair place called and said the compressor was out and they couldnt fix it because it takes R600 refrigerant and they didnt deal with it. Since it was supposedly the compressor, it was covered by Samsung, who sent yet another guy out to look at it; he said it was not the compressor but the computer board, so Samsung wouldnt cover it. After many back and forth calls to Home Depot, they finally sent me a check for the full price of my fridge, plus $300 for lost food. They told me to dispose of the fridge however I wanted to. Long story short, my brother-in-law from Florida, who has done appliance repair for 40 years, came up. Within an hour, he had recharged the compressor with R134 refrigerant and told me it had a very minute leak that wouldnt give me problems for a very long time. That was Aug. 1. The fridge has ran perfectly ever since. Upon returning to FL, he found out that Samsung had, in fact, recalled this fridge on July 1. So, I dont know how long this fix will last, but so far, so good. Anyone else in this situation should press Samsung for a refund. Apparently there is a problem with using R600 in the States, which they should have known before they started selling them here. Guess they figured they could just sell you a new one when this one died. Go figure!

Last month, I noticed the drinks werent cool, the vegetables started to wilt, and finally, the ice maker quit working on my less than 3-year-old Samsung French door refrigerator. I called Samsung and was switched from one person to another, telling my whole story over and over. Eventually, they gave me someone in Dallas who said they couldnt get anyone to come to my house for three days. I threw away all food, waited for the serviceman, and when he finally got here, was told the fan to the compressor was not working, but he did not have the part. I was charged $180 for his visit. He said he had to order the part and would try to be back Monday, another 3 days away. Monday he said the part wasnt in. Tuesday, the part wasnt in. Wednesday, the part FINALLY arrived and he came back and replaced the fan. Then, amazingly, that didnt work either. Now he said he had to replace the whole motherboard and I had to pay for both parts. After spending almost $500, I now had a refrigerator and freezer again after over 10 days. I am so upset. I saved for years to buy a new frig, spent a ton of money to buy it, and loved the new one until this happened. I thought they would do the right thing by at least coming quickly and making the repairs in a reasonable time and at a reasonable cost, but I was wrong. No more Samsung products for me no matter what.

We bought a higher end Samsung dishwasher at Best Buy on Black Friday, 2013. It was delivered 12/9/2013. It ran once through all cycles and dishes were dirty. Ran it again and it stopped and started blinking (many complaints say the same). So, we called Best Buy right after the new year to ask for help. Their one month warranty was up and further repairs were to be covered under Samsungs warranty. Well, two service calls later, they have to order a whole new computer panel. This is insane that an out-of-the-box dishwasher is defective. Called Samsung to ask for a replacement, and they denied it and said they will wait and see what the next replacement part does and if the issue is resolved. I will NEVER buy any Samsung product again and will hire an attorney to get my $700 back. This is outrageous that I have had to miss work 2 days already and now a third time? I would avoid Samsung products at all costs. AND, local repair parts retailers do not stock Samsung parts--they have to be special ordered.

The LED lights on the Heavy and Quick buttons start flashing and the dishwasher stops working after a minute or so of starting the dishwasher. I bought the dishwasher in January 2011 and the problem first happened just after a year of purchase, so I was outside of the warranty. The bill to fix this was about $300 and all the repair person did was pull out the dishwasher and wash the sensor (he said that there was some kind of dirt on the sensor). It took him about 5 minutes to fix it. He advised me to run the dishwasher empty once a month on Sanitize mode. I have been doing this diligently. Now less than 2 years later, I am encountering the same issue all over again. It seems like there is a problem with the design of the dishwasher. Other than the initial investment, Samsung wants consumers to spend $300 every 2 years to keep the dishwasher running!!

And on the occasions it did work, it did not clean thoroughly. Do not buy this product. And after dealing with the customer service I would not buy any appliance from Samsung.

My dishwasher would not use the dishwasher packets I was using to wash the dishes. The soap dish flap would open, but the packet would not be used. I call Samsung and their support is the WORST! I got a guy that spoke poor English and probably never saw a dishwasher before. I told him the problem and he told me to clean the dispenser and turn off the circuit breaker. It was a TOTAL waste of time. He asked for the serial number and I gave it to him 3, (YES THREE TIMES), then he told me he was not paying attention when I gave him the number. Then he wanted to know the service provider of my cell phone. What has that got to do with the dishwasher, but he said he needed it. At that point, I knew that Samsung support people were brain dead and I just hung up. I already spend too MUCH time trying to explain the problem and another 4 hours with their support would not have made a difference. I do plan to get rid of my Samsung dishwasher and go back to my Whirlpool. I had a Whirlpool for over 10 years and NEVER had a problem with it. I replaced it because we decided to redo our Kitchen with Stainless appliances and we went with a few Samsung appliances. Now I will never buy Samsung appliances again. My recommendation is if you buy Samsung and need any support you are hosed! You will spend a lot of time on the phone with a moron that does not even know his products and wont know nor care what your problem is. He will read from a list of trouble shooting guides, which may be totally irrelevant to your specific problem. (i.e. your car wont start and the guy tells you to change the tire). One more thing, I asked the support guy for an order number and he told me he got an error code on his computer and could not give it to me. STAY, make that RUN, AWAY from this company!

Have owned my Samsung appliances for 2 years, 6 months. The dishwasher leaks from the front just like described by many others. I have found that when loading the dishwasher the last time before running the cycle, I physically push the front gasket all the way around the opening (just run my finger around it) and it lessens or stops the leaking experience. This of course is not acceptable performance but it may help others until they replace their Samsung Dishwasher with another brand as I will do soon rather than spending any more money on this poor performing product. I will say, I LOVE my other Samsung appliances - Refrigerator, Stove/Oven, and/or Microwave - they all work GREAT and would definitely buy again.

The dishwasher repair was so expensive I elected to buy a new Kenmore. The refrigerator nightmare has been going on for 3 months with Samsung customer no service. These people jerked me around for 3 months (over 20 hours talking with them to fix the problem). My advice is do NOT allow Samsung to send out a repairman. Samsung will tell you its covered (as did the repairman) but when the job is complete you will be charged. I then got stuck with a large bill. If yours breaks call your own appliance repairman and save yourself your sanity. Samsung is a greasy/sleazy company selling beautiful but poorly made appliances. I will never buy or recommend their products.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator model # RF260BEAESR/AA in November of 2014. It is 2 years 5 months old. I called a repairman because the ice maker was not working and the refrigerator was not cooling below 49 degrees. The repairman said it would need a new motherboard and new ice maker at a total cost of $900. He suggested we scrap it and get a new refrigerator. I will never buy Samsung again. Our new refrigerator is a GE.

I bought a 25 cu ft and 28 cu ft Samsung RF25/28HMEDBSR 4 door refrigerators at the same time. The 28 cu ft died and couldn’t be repaired in 18 months. The 25 cu ft [same model] quit working in 4 years 4 months. The repair lasted just under 10 months. Samsung told me too bad, the warranty is up after having me send them copies of sales slips, etc. and string me along for about 4 weeks saying they were ‘looking into it’. They know they have a defect in this model, agreed they should have lasted 5 years, but, nothing they could do about it. These were the top of the line and I had over $5000 in 2 pieces of scrap and now again have food loss and another repair bill. With $2500, in this one alone [got my money back for the 28 cu ft because of store warranty] I can’t just junk it. Know whatever you read about their 4 French Door models, the chances are it won’t last more than 5 years at best and if you had a store warranty, it would be gone and Samsung will NOT do anything for you. It was rated at the top when I purchased them. A repairman told me this was a frequent problem with Samsung Refrigerators and I certainly wasn’t the only one.

In July 2016, I purchased a Samsung bundle which consisted of a refrigerator Model #RF28HMEDBBC, stove #NX58K3310SB/AA, microwave #ME16K3000AB & dishwasher #DW80J3020UB from Best Buy. I am totally happy with the services that I have received from Best Buy & the Geek Squad, however, I am so dissatisfied with the Samsung appliances. In 7/2018, the ice maker went out (Samsung provides no services!!!). I was told that the ice maker was not properly sealed & the Geek Squad replaced the ice maker. Then 10/2018, brown rust started to form on the bottom corners of the water shoot. The Geek Squad had to replace the entire door. 12/2018, the trim at the base of the oven door (which was glued on) came apart & the Geek Squad had to come back out & reattach it. And now, 12/18/18, as I was cooking dinner & steam was coming from the pot with vegetables (which is a normal thing) in it on the back burn, the stove’s back (oven, timer, & clock is located) started to discolor (my appliances are black!!). So now I have this spot on my stove. I was going to purchase the black Samsung washer & dryer, but after what I’ve experience with the kitchen appliances, there’s no way under the sun I’m going to purchase their washer & dryer. So dissatisfied with my Samsung appliances!

OMG! There are painful customer service stories on Samsung’s own refriger
OMG! There are painful customer service stories on Samsung’s own refrigerator site that are soul jarring. Samsung’s refrigerators don’t work: **. Samsung’s behavior is clearly a corporate recognition of a refrigerator failure problem and use of a purposefully painful customer service experience to suppress or even eliminate revenue loss from fixing their problems. They can build a TV, but boy the Samsung refrigerator division... no other way to say it... sucks. Remarkable that they go adversarial with people who bought their product. These people bought their product, they supported revenue for the company. They are not the bad guys and are not deserving the persecution articulated in these postings. We purchased our remodeled condo in St Pete recently and just this week discovered that our impressive looking 3 or 4 year old Samsnot (nickname I heard in conversations about this brand) refrigerator (RF24FSEDBSR/AA) is unable to prevent foods from spoiling or doing exactly what everyone on the Samsung site is complaining about, not staying cold.In addition to the cooling system failure in only 4 years, we found the Samsnot fridge to be poorly designed vis a vis: The doors dont close! Often, very often, we look over and see that the door we had swung closed and walked away from is open slightly. There is a short lived, tiny audio alarm to alert you, but you can barely hear it. If it was loud enough, the frequency of door open alarms would qualify as Abu Gahrib sound torture. They cant build a refrigerator that has dependably closing doors? I’m 72 and never had a fridge that didn’t allow its doors to close. As Jackie Mason would say... Refrigerators are not their line of work. The stainless finish is also a challenge to keep righteous. It always smears and you need to be wiping that stainless steel spray stuff on... All the time... to keep it moderately presentable. They actually engineered a high maintenance finish. And the ice maker! What a piece of annoying scree that contraption is. It has legions of people complaining about it. After reading the online complaints, we turn ours off just to make life easier. First it jams so that to remove it from inside the refrigerator, you need Dwayne Johnson to show up and then yank it free of its receptacle. Why remove the ice maker? Once Dwayne has pulled the rudimentary ice making device out for you, it is then necessary to go in and clean out the built up ice-frost in the ice maker compartment... you know... defrost it.We bought our condo with this piece of Samsnot junk already installed, so we are shaping our posture on this Samsnot mechanical travesty to be that we really didnt pay for it and that we can kind of justify going out and buying a new fridge. Given what is written on the Samsung refrig site, we dont even want to allow Sams the opportunity to defile us with their malevolent customer service. We are the second owners and well out of the 1 year warranty but still within the 5 year warranty for the cooling system, nevertheless we see that did not do any of the people on the site much good. Fridges were effortlessly built to last 15 to 25 years in the 60s. How can these Samsung people, from a culture oriented to excellence (think Honda/Toyota/Panasonic/Subaru/Sony), be so unskilled and then so combative when asked to make things right?I feel compelled to educate unsuspecting people to the reported hazards of this brand’s refrigerator failure plus my own experience with my under 5 year failure. My efforts will never impact their overall business, but given the bevy of refrigerator makers competing for the consumers refrigerator dollar any friction to their business will offer some measure of gratification. Samsung’s own site with lots of complaints, if you missed it before: **.

The refrigerator is new and has been working very well. We purchased this refrigerator on sale and it was delivered and set up. It has an ice maker that makes chipped and cubed ice, and makes more ice than you can use. It has filtered water in the door. It has a bottom freezer drawer that holds a bin for the ice cubes and a lot of frozen items. It has separate drawers in the interior of the refrigerator that are separately cooled. So you can keep your beer at a certain temperature while you watch the super bowl. It is a charcoal color and looks nice. The only thing I dont like is the lights of the control panel are blue behind a black panel and makes it hard to see when you are trying to order water or ice.

I purchased two Samsung appliances (refrigerator and dishwasher) in Novembe
I purchased two Samsung appliances (refrigerator and dishwasher) in November of 2015 from Home Depot. I spent almost $5000 on appliances (fridge, dish washer and stove). Small rust spots started to appear several months after I bought the appliances in February (on the dishwasher and in March on the refrigerator). The rust spots kept growing and getting worse. I only used stainless steel cleaner on them. I spent 4 weeks trying to resolve this issue with Home Depot in March and then with Samsung warranty department in April with no luck. I am told that this is a cosmetic issue and is not covered under warranty. This rusting appears that at some point in the near future, it will rust entirely through the front panel. This is an issue with the materials used to produce this product. My two main concerns with their warranty clause regarding the rust issue are as follows:1- Stainless steel should not rust to this extent where the surface has actually become pitted and especially within 5 months of coming from the factory warehouse. This amount of rusting and pitting should never happen to a stainless steel item. I was asked does the appliance still work? Yes? Then it is cosmetic. 2- Stainless steel should not be magnetic. The steel used on these appliances are most likely a ferritic steel that has a high concentration of IRON which would also explain the RUST issue. A magnet can actually stick to the front of these appliances. They are a cheap grade steel. They do not disclose the type of steel used on their products nor do they disclose that the appliance could start rusting the day after you purchase it and it is not covered under warranty. Samsung should disclose this to their customers. If you are going to build appliances with ferritic steel then you need to call them stainless ferritic steel. At least tell your customers who are spending their hard earned money what they are actually buying. That would be the least that you could do. It is deceiving, and dishonest, and defrauding to the customers.I received no help whatsoever from Samsung after calling and trying to get help on the issue for almost 4 weeks. I was simply told that they do not warranty cosmetic issues. I am extremely disappointed with this product, with samsung as a company, with their response to my issues. I have spent hours to try to resolve the issues with little response other than rust is cosmetic and not covered under warranty. They take no responsibility for selling you a cheap rusty piece of junk.

We are totally dissatisfied with Samsungs French door refrigerator (RF26VAB
We are totally dissatisfied with Samsungs French door refrigerator (RF26VABWF) and totally frustrated with dealing with their appointed service representative - Lakes Electronics. We purchased a French door refrigerator December 2008. By March 2012, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Between Lowes service company and then Samsungs factory service unit (Lakes Electronics) it took three trips and $570 dollars to get serviceable.Three years later, the refrigerator started leaking water from the unit that was replaced in 2012. We called Lakes Electronics directly for service, who responded appropriately the next day. The repair person defrosted the leaking unit, charged the standard fee, and gave us his directed contact number. Within a few days the refrigerator started leaking water again, we waited a few days in hopes that it would corrected itself and called for another service trip. On the second trip, the service rep took the unit apart, supposedly unfroze the drain line and told us that he would check with Samsung to try to diagnose the problem. He said that he should have an answer in a day and a half.Needless to say, the leak resumed within two days. The rep failed call with the status of the claim. We called him twice after a week, but he failed to answer and failed to return the call. We infer that he had no idea what was wrong. We dont know if he neglected to contact Samsung or Samsung didnt know how to fix the problem. Now we contacted Lakes again. We get the answer that they will send the same representative out and that they will charges us again. In effect, they promised fix our flat tire by filling it with air but not find the nail that causes the flat. When we question whether they guarantee that the problem is fixed, we get a run-around. When we ask to discuss the issue with supervisory staff, we are put on permanent hold.In addition to the above tale of woe, the ice maker stopped working a couple years ago. Plus the cold water runs so slowly, it is totally worthless. These problems were true with a brand new filter. The filters cost $40 every six months. With the rest of our frustrations with our purchase of the refrigerator we havent even considered bringing service in for ice and water line problems. For sure, we will never buy another Samsung appliance.

We, like a couple of others, were going through a remodel and decided to upgrade our appliances. We bought the Samsung range, $2600, from Lowes when they had a special on this range. Expensive, to say the least, but it was beautiful. Because of construction delays we did not get the range and other appliances installed until several months later. We been using the range for about 6 months now and the oven just never seems to be right. The Tech has been out twice and says, Everything checks out? So, Thanksgiving come around and we do a Turkey, all timed out according to the oven temp and time for the 20 pound bird. 5 hours later and the temp wand said it was done. We took it to our Daughters house and began cutting -- nope, not done. It look done, but pink meat and really pink and red around the thigh joints. Closer to the breast the white meat was slightly pink as well.If you want to do cookies you have to settle for near burnt outer crust, making for hard cookies, if you want the centers to get done. The oven may test right but somewhere along the way, through the process of heating and cooling to maintain temp this oven is failing. Looking to get it replaced. We would even stay with Samsung if they would agree to a replacement of a different model. Im for going back to an Electric. That is a lot of money for a range that only half works. We had a cheap wall oven that worked great for all baking, did not know how well it worked until we bought this Samsung.

3 of 4 Samsung appliances have now died in 5 yrs. Today SMH9187 microwave door latch broke after giving Error 13 the other day. Reading other reviews Im now afraid it will turn on by itself and burn my house down! Worse, Samsung dishwasher broke in 18 months and not only leaked on my hardwood floors but got so hot I needed a potholder to turn off after 5 hrs and it wouldnt stop. Lowes at least stepped in, said these were so bad I got a new Bosch Ive loved now for 3 yrs. Samsung counter depth refrigerator also had icemaker die in under 2 yrs. Lowes replaced it due to extended warranty but now 3 yrs later I tried again with warranty expired. Also had 2 Samsung LCD TVs die in 2 yrs, with both a Blu-ray player and separate DVD go belly up in that time too. Stupid name for ever buying anything from them after 2nd item. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG! Unbelievably bad quality and worse, truly dangerous!! Stay away, hope they go out of business soon.

Wow. Look at all these reviews. Same **, different user. I have the same microwave that everyone is complaining about here. This microwave has always been noisy (really noisy) and the keypad hard to use. We bought it to replace a Kenmore microwave that was over 20 years old (like our fridge), but still working. Now, we are getting the common SE problem; no amount of beating, unplugging, cursing, or other trickery will coax it into working. I went with this one because it looked great with our Frigidaire cooktop and oven, and I did not care for the styling of the Frigidaire micro. What a crock! Appliances should last. The oven that gave up and had to be replaced was a Magic Chef from 1966. Show me an appliance from a contemporary manufacturer that lasts over 50 years these days. Not gonna happen. I did expect to get more than 2 years out of a $300 microwave, however. I lust the Samsung fridges, but I will have to get over it and see if Kenmore can provide one with the same features when I need that, because I will not be getting a Samsung. I have a phone (4 years old) that will need replacing soon, and the iPhone is looking pretty good. Now, I’m glad we went with another manufacturer for the recently purchased TV, judging from the tales of customer service listed on the site. We will try the panel repair tonight, but I am sure the Magnetron will bite it soon, according to the others. So it will be a matter of time before I have to purchase another microwave, not a Samsung this time, no matter how sexy it is.

Our Samsung DMR77LHW model that we purchased as part of a kitchen renovation some 5 years ago has been a source of frustration for the last 4 years. We had it repaired twice under an extended warranty (thank God!!); the first time just a year after purchase (replaced circuit board) and then again this past winter (entire top rack, door gasket, top rotary washing arm). Between those 2 service calls (and continuing to this day), nothing but poor performance and failing parts: Brittle and broken rack clips, recurring SE error (and now a PE code yesterday!) during normal cycle, cleaned dishes and glasses with odd food particles caked on, very wet items after the drying cycle, etc. We will be replacing this piece of cr*p in the next month because we have endured it long enough. Shame on Samsung for STILL producing such low quality products 5 years after we bought our own. I thought that this manufacturer would improve its appliances based on all this consumer feedback, but apparently Samsung doesnt care about that. So, junk products + poor customer service experience = a company to boycott. Bye bye Samsung. You have lost another client. Not just for dishwashers, but your ENTIRE line of products, I.e., Mobile Devices, TV & Audio, Cameras & Camcorders, PC monitors & Printers, Home Appliances, and Memory/Storage (as per your products list at Samsung.com). I bought a new dishwasher model DW80R2031 in Dec 2020. I HATE this dishwasher. The prongs on the racks are angled and so close together that I cannot fit my dishes in. On the top rack my glasses do not fit in the shall rows and need to sit over one or two of the prongs. Because of that they knock against each other during the wash cycle. I am surprised that none of them have broken yet. On the bottom rack the prongs are so close together that the platters and lids to my pans do not fit unless I bend the prongs. Because all of the prongs are angled juice pitchers and pans have to just balance on top and hope they dont move during the cycle. I have to wash lots of dishes by hand because I cant fit get them to fit in the dishwasher. If I could take it back I would. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again.

I just purchased all new Samsung kitchen appliances. The dishwasher was broken. It ran, but would not turn off even when I opened the door. I had to turn off circuit breaker. Called Lowes, and they replaced with a new one. They were great about it as I said I did not intend on having to pay my contractor a second time to install it, they completed the installation. Now it runs, but does not dry dishes. I purchased the rinse agent as I was advised, used it, still does not dry dishes. Today I used the sanitize option which was suggested in manual to get dishes dry...still not dry. I also have a very bad smell coming from dishwasher when there are no dirty dishes in it. It smells like garbage. So today I called Lowes and spoke to my salesman. I am NOT going to re-purchase a Samsung. He is going to have his department manager call me tomorrow. Own a Samsung SMH9187ST microwave. In part picked from a Consumer Report rating. Thoroughly disappointed. Has been nothing but trouble. First the rack that came with the unit, caused an arcing/burning inside the unit - had to throw the rack out. Then the Magnetron failed (wouldnt heat), after much arguing with Samsung, they finally sent someone to replace it. Then had another issue with the unit functioning (of course just past the 1 year warranty part); had to replace the sensors at the door (my cost). Then we get the SE error - the remedies online dont work, so, only solution to replace the entire control panel?? This is an extremely poor design. SAMSUNG should not have sold this design. Third appliance of theirs that has been a major disappointment. I will never buy SAMSUNG again.

Spent $2,000 on rf263 beae sr. Excessive water collecting in chute and draining out of and sometimes into fridge. Repairman came and replaced dispenser door, didnt correct problem, then ice maker didnt work, approx 11 months old. Icemaker replaced, broke 3 months later, no longer under warranty. Didnt get anywhere with Samsung. Have been manually making ice for my $2,000 refrigerator for over a year. Bought a replacement ice maker. Doesnt work. I personally will never buy another Samsung product. I wish someone would start another class action suit. This is ridiculous. I replaced an 18 year old fridge that, yes, was out of style but never had any problems.

Eight to ten months ago, I noticed the SE error on my Samsung over the stove microwave. I tried all the advice I found online but nothing worked. I called Samsung to find out what I could do about having it repaired but the microwave was about 18 months old and out of warranty. Blast! The microwave was only 18 months old and now I have to buy a new one. I gave it one more shot and called Samsung again. This time, I spoke to a very nice young gentleman and he came back with, Samsung does extend the warranty for one time repairs, and said he could help me. So he took care of scheduling a repair and after 3 tries of installing a new computer in the microwave, the last one finally worked. So here I am again, just 8 months later back in the same position with no microwave and no Ace in the Hole! Well Im going to give it a shot again and see if maybe my luck will hold out. Life without a microwave is no fun! I will keep you informed.

We purchased a bottom freezer side by side Samsung three years ago. Currently on third ice maker which leaks water everywhere. Current fix for this is $600 to correct their bad engineering. This on top of $250 to fix the defrost drain which freezes and spills all of the defrost in the refrigeration area. Obviously this is an engineering piece of crap. Only here to warn people. All appliances have issues but this is absolutely the worst appliance ever created. Overpriced, poorly engineered and nothing special that cant be found on a less expensive model. AVOID this brand at your own peril!

This whole ordeal started on Dec. 15th. The water dispenser on my 4,000 dollar, 4 month old refrigerator stuck and flooded my kitchen. I have hardwood floors so damage was done. I called service that night and was told someone would call me in 48 hours. So, I waited... no call. I called again and finally 2 weeks later service came out. Wrong part ordered so they ordered a new one. The next day Dani from Customer Service called and said that the repair was taking too long and offered me a new fridge and said someone would call me to get the order going. 3 days pass... no call. I finally get a hold of a very unpleasant customer service manager named Rosa that promised service would be out. It is now the 18th of January. NO CALL IN OVER A WEEK. NO SERVICE HAS BEEN OUT. All this info has been sent to the BBB last week. And this will all be posted on every website I can find. I dont understand why this is so difficult. Isnt this your job? EVERYDAY THAT PASSES MORE DAMAGE IS BEING DONE TO MY FLOOR. IT IS NOW LEAKING DOWN INTO THE BASEMENT. You would think that getting the adjuster and repair would be important to you. Also, every time I call they say they left a message. That is false. I have voice mail. Never a message!!!

Recently we converted our less than six month old our entire upgraded GE kitchen appliances to Samsung Black Stainless Steel at roughly $6,500. In spite of the cost we have always had success with the product brand including TVs, cell phones, tablets, appliances you name if Samsung makes it we buy it. However the dishwashers has been less than acceptable not to mention most disappointing. Besides being noisy theres always standing water after a complete cycle. If unattended the odor of spoiled or soiled smelling water its all but unbearable. No problem. We contacted the local Samsung authorized technician to make a house call and repairs or adjustment. After a half hour he said everything was in working order and the accumulation of the standing water was normal... I quote its needed to prime the pump... That of course is BS!First thing when you start the washer is WATER! Subsequently and after filing a complaint with customer service which I might add are nothing more than pimple face robots sitting in front of computers that reply from canned presentations. Eventually and after some persistence our complaint was sent to another department and after waiting three or so weeks we get a call back saying they are sending us a complete refund. Once again my faith is restored with Samsung; but its not to be! After a few more weeks the promised call back never came so we reached out to their customer service and once again we got a runaround with the pending refund. But today we get a call from the department that makes the final decision telling us it was a mistake and the problem is considered maintenance not covered under their normal warranty... Mind you we are talking about a product that was less than three weeks old. Their (CR) mannerism with a response was being read not communicated like in a normal conversation; most disappointing to say the least. The CR kept repeating the same verbiage word for word over and over several times. Before I wrote this review I did some research and discovered besides Samsung - Bosch and Whirlpool they share this common problem. Their recommendation is adding vinegar and lemon juice in the dishwasher or you can buy a cleaner/chemical specific for dishwashers to control odors; expect to pay around $12-$13. So Samsung potential dishwashers buyers beware!

He actually put a wire down the tube and hooked it up so it wouldnt freeze. So far, that works. Now, our ice maker broke. We had the warranty, so now we have to get it fixed. Tried to reset but nothing. Bad fridge, I wouldnt buy any more Samsung or LG. Most expensive to fix and hard to get parts, a lot of service people wont fix them.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot last year. It was on sale, all stainless inside and seemed like a great deal. It worked a couple of times then quit... lights flashing and stinky water remaining in the basin. Home Depot responded quickly and sent someone out twice to repair it then finally sent me an email saying it was not fixable. They gave me a full refund. But, I am stubborn and was determined to fix it. Sometimes it worked thru a full cycle and sometimes it did not. I would have to push a couple of buttons to get it to drain afterward. After months of troubleshooting it finally works for me every time. The key is a balanced load. When you put a dinner plate on one side of the rack you must put the next dinner plate on the other side. Same with the top rack. Equal weight on both sides of the carriages is the trick. It sounds like a pain in the you-know-what but it works for me and I feel like a winner! :)

In slightly less than 3 years, the electronic display on the door went nuts. I had crews taking my fridge apart every week. After replacing the panel/circuit board/wiring harnesses/entire door, they gave up & gave me a new one which lasted 7 years. When my fridge died, so did my washer & I bought another Samsung side-by-side which came with a free washer. I LOVE BOTH MACHINES, which perform perfectly & am shocked to see such complaints about the company & its products.

For over 3 weeks, I have reached out to Samsung Customer Service to get a resolution on a new stove that never worked. No one has helped me yet. Below is a summary of the contacts I have made. My last two attempts to contact customer service have left me at a dead end. I was told there was no number for me to contact and that I must wait to receive a call from Samsungs Office of the President. After over 3 weeks without a stove and not a single follow-up call from Samsung, you can only imagine how frustrating this is. I have not cooked on a stove for over 3 weeks now.On 9-15-2012, I bought a new stove from Lowes in Fort Collins, Colorado. On 9-17-2012, I contacted Samsung Customer Service to report that the stove top did not work and caused large electrical surges in my house. On 9-19-2012, I called Customer Service again because no one had called me back. They apologized for the slow follow-up and got me in touch with Elite Services, a repair company in Greeley, CO.On 9-21-2012, the service company looked at the stove and determined that the entire mechanical components of the stove top needed to be replaced. According to the service company, an order was placed through Samsung. On 10-3-2012, after no follow-ups from Samsung or the repair company, I called again, only to determine that Samsung dropped the ball and that nothing was happening. From what I gathered, the part for my brand-new stove was no longer made and they would see if there was some sort of alternative part. My confidence continued to dissipate. On 10-3-2012, I emailed the Office of the CEO through the Samsung Customer Service website and received an automated reply that I would be contacted in 1-2 business days. On 10-8-2012 at 8:30, I contacted customer service again since I have not received any calls from Samsung. They basically told me my issue was being reviewed by a manager and that someone would be in touch with me by the end of the day.On 10-8-2012 at 4:00 PM, after not hearing back from Samsung, I called again. They said the issue was being handled by the Office of the President. It was not possible for me to speak to anyone, but someone would call me possibly that night. I could not call anyone in the Office of the President. I was told they would have to call me. There was a refusal to put me in touch with a person that had the authority to handle my issue. Again, I was told to be patient and wait.On 10-9-2012 9:45 AM after not hearing back from Samsung, I called again and of course, got the same answer. Customer service could not help me nor provide any answers. I must only wait for someone from the Office of the President to call me. A timeline was not provided and I was told that there was nothing else that customer service or I could do but to just wait for a call back.I researched a phone number for Samsung corporate, 201-229-4000. I was put on hold and waited to speak with customer service from the Office of the President. After a couple of minutes, a message came on and said the call volume was too high and to leave a message and theyll call me back. Through research, I think the President of this Samsung department is David Choi.Certainly, I am very disappointed with the complete lack of care, concern, follow-through, etc., from Samsung on a brand new product. I am very concerned that there is no confidence on the proper repair for a part that is no longer made. I wont settle for anything but a repair that makes the stove operate like new, or a new stove. I have not had a stove to cook on for over 3 weeks now and I have given Samsung ample time to correct this. Here is an excerpt from Samsung’s Code of Conduct: 12 - Principle 3. We respect customers, shareholders and employees. The Company will endeavor to reach just resolutions of customer-related disputes and will respond to the complaints of customers in a transparent, timely and effective manner. This has not been transparent, timely or effective.

We purchased a package deal on 4 Samsung appliances in the summer of 2016. It was suggested that to update our kitchen for potentially selling it that new appliances are a must. The units that we purchased from HHGregg are VERY disappointing. The dishwasher DW80J3020US is very quiet, which is nice, but since there is no latch to lock the door, occasionally we open it mid-cycle forgetting it is on. There is no way to continue the cycle; it has to start completely over. We contacted customer service asking about this and they confirmed this. That is poor design. For the microwave model ME16H702SEB, you cant cook something and use the timer at the same time. It may seem like a small thing, but it is very inconvenient. Again, poor design. We are extremely disappointed in the quality of these units and the lack of attention to detail. They are cheaply designed. Stay away from them.

I wish I had reviewed this fridge when it first became apparent at how bad it was. Might have saved some folks purchasing one. It is French Doors with bottom freezer, about 4-1/2 years old. The first thing that we noticed was at 1 year old, the stainless was spotted. We are 2 retired people, no kids here. Used stainless cleaner to no avail. Called Samsung, they said they dont warranty the stainless. 2nd thing was a flap on the door broke because we didnt always open or close the right door first...never knew until this happened, and figured it out. That was over $300. Now, in the last 9 months the ice maker has gone out 3 times. Had it fixed for about $250. Less than 3 months later it went out again. The repair company fixed it as a warranty issue. Now, 6 months later...out again. Waiting for an answer from the repair company, but they only guarantee a repair for 3 months, and dont know if Samsung will do anything. I will not pay for another ice maker. Will start over with another brand...never a Samsung. Anything!!! So disappointed!

I moved into a new house on Jan 7 2015. The house came with stainless steel appliances (Brand new). I peeled the stickers from the Samsung stove myself... So I know I was the first user. Used it 4 times, smelled a funny smell but the documents said that its OK to have this smell in the first few times, so I didnt pay much attention.Then... short and I had to reset the breaker. Since then the oven wont pre-heat. Call Samsung and they sent out a nice guy that didnt know what to do. He then called Samsung and had been transferred 2 times to speak to 2 different Samsung reps. The 3rd guy asked him to check behind the stove and look for burned wires. My cool tech told him its a brand new stove. Samsung guy asked him to check... Well... bad wiring almost cost me my sons life, my life, my house and everything I have. My tech got an authorization number from Samsung and said that Samsung will call me within 24-48 hours to schedule a pickup and replacement. So... I waited.4 days later I called Samsung, gave them that number and they transferred me to a different department. The lady told me that she cannot help me without a receipt. I told her that I got the stove with the house and its not about a piece of paper. Its about Samsung selling a faulty equipment, a fire hazard in a shape of an oven.No go... Tried to leave a message on their FB page... the guy told me that he is sorry for my inconvenience (its a gas stove, that burned itself and can kill me... they know about it but still selling it... its not an inconvenience, its simply dangerous to let this company sell products!) - but... I need to get him a receipt for him to ask Samsung to take responsibility for its faulty product. Is there any federal commission that can take my oven and investigate it? Maybe cross it with houses that burned? Its like that GM recall... They KNOW about it but wont do a thing until someone will die, even then they maybe try to cover up before taking real action. My advice to you - Stay away from Samsung products! (Cell Phones, Computers, TVs.. anything). Also, Ive seen some other complaints here. Im going to buy a new stove next week. But if theres a class action going on I would like to be a part of it. If theres none, Im interested in filing one and would like to contact other people who had a similar experience. So, please contact me if you can.

I gave this product a 1 star rating because you don’t have the option of rating it any lower. My wife and I bought a Samsung French door refrigerator with freezer on bottom, and started having problems with it after only two months of owning it. It started filling up with water under the deli drawer, it would then freeze up into a block of ice making it difficult if not impossible to open the drawer and then start to spill water all over the floor. When we called Samsung we were basically told to call a repair person, and pay to have it looked at after we just paid $1700.00 for it and we had it less than 4 months. So much for standing behind their products. If you buy a Samsung product after reading this, and many other reviews just like this one you must have more money than brains. Samsung IS NOT the reputable company they want you to believe they are.

We purchased our Samsung Induction range in Jan 2015. Within a couple of weeks we got an error message which made no sense but nothing on the range worked. As this was under the one year warranty I called Samsung. After several days and several calls I was informed there were no Samsung certified repair people within a three-hour radius. I called Calgary and was told by a Samsung certified repairman they get calls from all over the province but will not leave the city. I returned to Sears where I purchased the range. They were willing to replace the range but asked if I would allow them to arrange their service people to come out, which they did. No stove for three weeks as the entire electrical panel had to be replaced. Fortunately at this time I purchased five year extended warranty through Sears. We now have issues with the oven. For no reason, mid cycle/baking the oven puts out an error message (silent) and the range does not work. On one occasion it just stopped working without an error message. Thank goodness I dont have to try to get a repairman... Sears will send out their technician. I have read complaints about cleaning the glass top. I clean with soap and water. Dry it then spray with Weimar cooktop cleaner. It does a great job and my cooktop is still looking good. If you have an induction range and you find a stainless steel pan doesnt work, you likely have one of two problem. Some stainless steel pans have additional metals in them which will cause them not to work and the other is a warped bottom. I deeply regret buying this range and given Samsung phones catching fire and the clothes washer lids blowing off... I will never buy any Samsung products.

My ICEMAKER on the French door models of Samsung has been terrible. So bad that its starting to rust the outer door where water has been dripping down from the ice dispenser on to the outer door. Called and they said it would cost me well over $300.00 to fix it. They didnt say anything about the rust on the door. Even though the warranty is up, this is crazy. We just had a service guy come out on yesterday about another issue with the TwinCooling Plus panel on the inside back wall. That was $309.00. Three hundred here and three hundred there adds up to a lot. Also the warranty on this is only for a year. Have a lot of Samsung TVs and washer and dryer. But this will make me think twice on Samsung.

The first error code (LC) happened about 4 weeks after install. A week wait for a tech, claimed no problem. Happened again about 5 weeks later. Again, no issue found. Happened again - replaced a part. Happened again. You get the picture. Sent a complaint directly to Samsung in May 2018 requesting replacement of faulty machine (Dishwasher 80M9 series). Was told they had only received ONE repair notice from us (we had logged in SEVEN at that point - since WE hadnt paid for any of the service calls, I have to assume Samsung did!). They sent someone out to repair AGAIN. Happened again in June. JUST had repair here to replace two parts - he was 5 minutes away from the house and it happened yet again. Paid for a Samsung Refrigerator. Picked it up from the retailing Store 3 months later. I was given a Pickup invoice on which the Retailer indicated the date of sale and the date of pickup. However, the unit developed some problems. I called Samsung (Manufacturer Warranty). They insisted that it was over one year I paid for the unit and as such was out of warranty. I went to the Retailer who gave me a letter and also wrote Samsung to clear the air on this issue. The letter clearly outlined the day I reserved the unit and the day I picked it up and asked Samsung to extend to me the warranty from the date I picked up the refrigerator.Every time I contacted Samsung, the customer service agents claim they never received the letter from the Retailer. I had to send it to them again and again and again. Ive done this over 6 times. They always claim they never received it and as such would not authorize a repair of my refrigerator. I am tired of all these and intend to look for a repair technician who will repair it. I will then go to Small Claims court to file a claim against Samsung for the repair and loss of use of my refrigerator including costs of damaged foods. I called the Customer Service once again for their mailing address to send them the court papers. The agent I spoke to refused giving it to me. Said I should email it. How can I email the original court papers? Even if I can, to an email address they never admit to receiving my emails at? Finally, I will quit patronizing SAMSUNG products!

Im envious of the other reviewer who had to wait for major problems after 4 years. Weve owned our French Door model costing approx. $2,600 for 2 years. Repaired ice maker 3 times and now it just gave up, spewing metal parts into the ice tray. The attached photo shows what you can expect to find in your ice. Samsungs Indian Service Dept. just says were so sorry, please upload photos and we will contact you. 4 weeks in, no response despite many phone calls. Do not waste your time calling Samsung service. Buy an appliance from a company that at least pretends to care e.g GE or Kitchen Aid. Too bad, it looks beautiful and has all the features we wanted, but its garbage.
