Samsung Washer Model WA44A3405AW Error Codes

CODE: LO or FL
PROBLEM: Door lock error
FIX: Check the wiring connections to the door lock/switch, and tighten if needed. Forcing the door open might damage the door lock / switch, which is often made of plastic. However, it is simple to replace and much less expensive than calling a technician.

CODE: ds
PROBLEM: Door is not locked
FIX: If the washer won't start, the ds code might appear, signaling that the washer door is open and the lock is malfunctioning. Use the diagnostic test mode to check the door lock / switch assembly. If that shows the lock is defective, replace it.

CODE: dc
PROBLEM: Unbalanced load
FIX: The dc code means the load has been detected as unbalanced during the final spin. Cancel the cycle, or just let it end. Redistribute the load, and re spin.

CODE: Sud (F70)
PROBLEM: Too many suds
FIX: Allow the suds to settle, and move to the spin cycle. Rewash the clothes using no detergent, and then clean your washer.

CODE: lE
PROBLEM: Water level sensor failure
FIX: First, unplug the washer, and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the main control board. If the IE code still appears after plugging the washer back in, the water level pressure sensor should be replaced.

CODE: nF
PROBLEM: Water fill problem
FIX: Check that the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open and kink free. The lines can also freeze if the washer is exposed to low temperatures. The code might also appear if the water inlet fill valves are defective and need replacement.

CODE: LE
PROBLEM: Low water level during cycles
FIX: Water level drops can be caused by leaks in the washer tub or an improperly installed drain line, which can siphon water out of the washer. Reinstall the drain line, and try filling again.

CODE: OE
PROBLEM: Overflow or too high water levels
FIX: A washer that is overfilled is usually caused by water inlet valves that are not shutting off the water flow properly. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.

CODE: nF1
PROBLEM: Hot and cold water lines are reversed
FIX: Connect the hot and cold water fill hoses correctly on the back of the washer.

CODE: tE
PROBLEM: Water temperature is either too high or too low
FIX: Run the diagnostic test mode to check the water temperature that the control board is sensing. If the actual temperature is significantly different, the temperature sensor or thermistor should be replaced.

CODE: nd
PROBLEM: Water will not drain
FIX: If the washer fails to drain within fifteen minutes, check the washer drain filter and drain hose for a clog or restriction. If the drain pump is defective or damaged, replace it.

CODE: E2
PROBLEM: Stuck key on control board
FIX: Try to free the key by gentle force. If you can't free the key, replace the user interface control board (also called the sub PCB control board).

CODE: 3E
PROBLEM: No signal from the drive motor tachometer
FIX: Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections on the drive motor and the electronic control board. If the wiring connections are sound, the drive motor or the tachometer usually needs to be replaced.

CODE: 2E
PROBLEM: Internal control board failure
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: AE
PROBLEM: Communication error between the main PCB and sub PCB in the control panel
FIX: Check the wire harness connections between the PCB control boards in the control panel. If the wiring connections are sound, replace one or both of the control boards.

CODE: SF
PROBLEM: Main PCB error
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: Hr
PROBLEM: Heater relay failure
FIX: The heater relay is a component on the main PCB control board. Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the main PCB control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the main PCB control board.

French door, bottom freezer and smaller refrigerator. After 3 years it was in the landfill unfortunately. Samsung reps were just as awful and will NEVER buy Samsung anything again. Replaced refrigerator with an LG. So far so good after 1 year.

Bought this refrigerator (RFG237) a year and a half ago. Had to replace an electronic component within the first 6 months, it was not cooling the frig part, but it was covered under warranty, no cost. Now the back of the frig is frozen, the interior shell is cracked and melted. I have to have the cover replace, the crack filled with something, and a thermostat replaced. Of course its out of warranty and will cost me $250 to fix. This has the making of a real lemon. I called Samsung and they gave me a run around. I will never buy another product of any kind from this company and I will tell all my friends of my experience.

The RS265TDRS/XAC is our second refrigerator in 5 years. We thought we just had a bad unit and should never have bought another Samsung... Absolute junk. On our third evap fan because of freezing issues. We are also on our second dishwasher from Samsung... I would give them 0 stars if I could. No support of any kind. If only they made appliances as well as their cellphones.

I bought this big expensive frig. It cost me $2500.00. Repairman was here 5 or more time to fix ice machine. This never worked properly. I have to defrost my freezer to get the ice build up out. I understand now a lawsuit is in effect and how would I go about reporting this issue to Samsung. I will happily give back this frig for a refund.

The dishwasher failed the first time last year in April, 17. We were on vacation... Kids shut off machine and shut off breaker in electric panel as noise would not stop. I came home and tried machine and it worked fine. Used machine normally for a few washes and the LE error occurred. This has happened every week since. Local repair companies do not want to come and fix it... Same comment... Its a Samsung... No thanks! (Universal and Totem Appliance Repair). Went online and found weird solutions due to moisture issue around motor which causes the LE error and unit to fail. Need to leave machine off with Electric Breaker off as well. Needs to be off for several days and up to a week!!! Sometimes as is this week. Very frustrating as The Brick (now Leons owned) sold us this unit after our original purchase of a Brick House model failed after three months of use. No refund but had store credit to purchase another unit. We bought the Samsung as it seemed to have the best features... Top rack... water wall... ultra quiet etc. Pretty useless features when you cant use the machine for days and weeks at a time!!! After having A Maytag for 14 years with no issues till a recall issue had a service tech ruin the machine. We then purchased the new model Samsung DW80H993 SERIES. The 5 Year Warranty sold us... So much for that. Never again. With no support from Samsung locally and authorized dealers that will not come out fix the problem as it is a design flaw I will buy other models.

I refuse to give Samsung any further business due to their lack of customer service and support. I purchased a refrigerator from Lowes and the water dispenser produces foul odor and taste, rendered undrinkable. Ive had 4 service calls to fix problem and each technician visit had a different story as to why it occurs. However it reoccurs in less than a year. This makes no sense at all since our house is on a full-house water softener and filtration system. Now Samsung will not admit or take ownership of the fact their this model is faulty. Support will only issue another service visit at my cost for parts and labor which does not resolve any issues. Samsung French Door Refrigerator Stainless Steel Energy Star model RFG238AARS.

Purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator from Lowes in 2012. The ice maker stopped working and since we had an extended warranty for two additional years, they sent out a technician. The technician removed the old ice maker and ordered a new one. When the new one came in, the technician shoved, pushed, and tried to force the replacement in place and after 30 minutes, decided it was not the right one so he was to order yet another one. The compressor died the next day and the technician stated that it was an issue that we had to deal with Lowe’s for. Of course, we really had to deal with Samsung. We jumped though all the hurdles and did not get full replacement value so we ordered an LG instead.

We paid almost $700.00 for this dw80f600uts dishwasher, first trouble within 6 months of installation. We contacted Samsung. We basically got the run-around until the dishwasher was out of warranty. They told us they would send a technician but we were never contacted back. We have an extremely busy schedule and I cannot afford to take a day off work so someone can look at my dishwasher. This dishwasher was one of the more expensive dishwashers when we purchased it. We were told it was extremely high quality, better than BOSCH which was in the same price range. We had a Bosch at our old home. It lasted 6 years (may still be running today?) without a problem.

Im very disappointed with the product and upset at the lack of customer service and support. I purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot (22.5 cu ft food showcase french door, in stainless model # RF23HTEDBSR) and 110 days after purchase the unit failed. The first call to Samsung Service resulted in a technician coming out 5 days later and within minutes it was determined that the compressor and evaporator coil had failed. After 12 weeks, they failed. He was unable to repair and told me parts would be in next week.I found this unacceptable, that a nearly $3,000 unit would fail after 12 weeks and I would be without use of refrigeration for several weeks while waiting for repair. I had food that spoiled but more importantly for me and my family, had no use of fridge or freezer for weeks. I called Samsung service again to ask if something could be done and was told the system was down and could they call me back. I have yet to receive that callback. The transaction number is **. The unit was a lemon, I deserve a new unit or my funds returned. The inconvenience of this episode continues to rob me of time and has insured I will do my best to avoid Samsung products in the future. The poor customer service reflects poorly on the entire company.

Purchased Samsung French Door Refrig and it was leaking water on floor from doors first week here. Service man said gaskets were bad and I asked that I get a replacement. Week later, replacement came and now door dont close properly. Tech came out to adjust and I was good, too bad... all French door refrigerators have this problem because one door is heavier than other (ice and water side is the lighter door). I should check every hour and make sure kids close doors hard. Not Acceptable.

We bought a DD68-00143A_MES about 6 months ago. Since day one we noticed that it simply did not work as well as our old one (was not a Samsung) we had for over 10 years. At first I thought we were just not loading the dishes correctly because they were not clean. So for several weeks we tried to move dishes all over the place and nothing helped. Then we thought maybe it was the dishwasher detergent (even though we had used it for years with no problems, I thought maybe they changed the formula without us knowing it) so we tried all kinds of detergents and nothing helped! So as many of you that have complaints about the washer being the worst ever, I tend to agree. Other things we have noticed is there is this smell that comes from it. At first I thought it was our hard water (we are on rural water) but then I read some other peoples comments and see its not only us that noticed it. We have also noticed that many dishes are stained with something and we cannot remove the stain no matter how we try! Another thing is that I do not think the person that designed (its a laugh to even think someone would really use the word designed) the racks to hold the dishes has ever washed a dish in their life! NOTHING FITS! Its a chore to try and find places to put the dishes to wash them. One last thing. As like most of you we have come to the same conclusion that we will never buy Samsung again! I am however a little different than most of you. I own a lot of rental properties, and I bet you can guess the type of dishwasher that will NEVER BE PUT IN MY HOUSE OR MY RENTAL PROPERTIES! EVER!

We bought our 1st Samsung side-by-side fridge in late-2006. Just after the 1-yr warranty expired, the twin cooling system froze in the refrigerator side. Recommended appliance repairman literally took a knife to chip ice off of the equipment. Had to call a 2nd repairman who completed it but discovered the touch screen didnt work properly (again not covered by warranty). In 2014, bought a 2nd Samsung (4-door model). Had problem with touch screen but when repairman came, couldnt duplicate problem. Of course, after warranty expired, housing for water filter started leaving debris (white substance) in the filter & ice & water stopped. Repairman said housing was a faulty design & Samsung was working to correct the design. Then he said the touch screen wasnt working either. After repeated calls to Samsung by me, the repairman & even my husband, the final conclusion from the manager was that they didnt have a record of the touch screen malfunctioning prior to warranty ending! So, like our 1st fridge (which we moved downstairs), we opted not to repair the touchscreen but did pay to replace the housing. This week I had repairman out for both fridges with identical problems as before. When filter housing was changed out in Sept-2015, it had not been redesigned. So... now $325 cost to repair housing & at least have confirmation it will be with redesigned part. Still leaving compromised touchscreen untouched. Cost to replace damaged parts on downstairs fridge = $505!Now if I wasnt smart enough to learn my lesson, when our washer went out we read consumer reports that highly recommended the Samsung appliances. Purchased them, immediately had problems - fought with Samsung for weeks and finally went to Lowes to let them know that their reputation was at stake because they sell Samsung products. Lowes went above and beyond and graciously took care of my problems with my dryer. Since that time I have received a recall about the problem with the washer. Sorry for this long. Review but Ive had more experience than I would like with Samsung and I do not believe in the quality nor their integrity. My advice to you - dont buy Samsung!

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator five years ago and the fridge just stop getting cold. We called the customer service and it just so happens that my warranty was only for five years. They charged us $125. Just to come out to look at it and was here for only 20 minutes. It needs 2 parts (so they say). I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. A refrigerator should last more than 5 years. I purchased at Best Buy and do not have my receipt because the receipt fades.

I have had my Samsung 9187 for about 4 years and yesterday the thing just kept beeping and then finally displayed the dreaded SE code. After some quick googling, I found a site which offered a solution. I just finished it up and the microwave works again like new. So here it is: Over time, condensation will make two pieces of the ribbon cable stuck together, causing short circuit. The solution is to separate the pieces and put a piece of paper in between. First you need to access the control panel by unscrewing the top grill of the microwave. After removing the top grill, you will see a screw holding the control panel to the oven. Just unscrew that one and remove the control panel. You will then see the ribbon cable. Inspect whether it is folded and the two sides are stuck. If yes, just separate them and put a piece of paper in-between. Its really that simple, put the paper between the two sides of the ribbon found inside the control panel. Hope this helps.

We have had our dishwasher 13 months, 1 month too long apparently. It was working perfectly, used approximately every other day. Then one day, it started to malfunction, stopping 10-15 minutes after we start a load, with an error message SE. Look up that code to find that its a draining problem. Ok, no problem. Disconnect the hoses, clean out the water, see that the hose is draining well, and reconnect. Load runs perfectly. Next load, the message happens again. This time, I remove the entire hose, clean it out. Reattach, runs perfectly. Happens again after the next load.Called Samsung, they stated sorry, your warranty is expired. Well, of course it is. Why would you warranty your product for more than 12 months? Ok, so thats fair. I ask for suggestions. Instead, the person I get at the 1-800-Samsung can hardly speak English, is talking SO quietly I can hardly hear her over the noise of the call center, and is basically just repeating what I am telling her. ZERO help at all. Tells me to just turn the power on and off then offers me some numbers for people to call to get authorized service. Tonight, after the 4th time of the SAME error message happening, we drain it, leave it unattached to the drain and have it drain into a bucket. Its draining fine, wonderfully in fact, but again, while watching it drain, we get the SE message, the same message that states we have an error with our drainage system. So, its one of two problems, a motor or an electrical. Either one is UNACCEPTABLE for a 13 month old dishwasher. Every single one of my appliances is a Samsung product, and because of this incident, I have absolutely zero faith in the other products. The thing that is now really bothering me is all the negative reviews of this product. How is it possible that this product is considered a high end product when I cannot find a single review to substantiate that? We spent almost $800 on this thing. Thats ridiculous, and to only get 13 months out of it. To get it repaired is going to cost us $200 for the service call and whatever the cost of the part that we need. I think we should just replace it but again, that makes me so mad because we shouldnt have to be replacing ANYTHING at 13 months. Im so upset Im crying. Shame on Samsung. Shame on you.

This machine broke down in about 16 months. After repeatedly trying to call Samsung Support, got a call from Samsungs On-Time-Repair for appointment. I paid $95 but the repair person could not fix it, said the computer is broken. He said he will order the necessary part and then call us which has not happened. After repeatedly trying to contact On-Time-Repair, I was informed since the machine is over 1 year old they had to get a confirmation from Samsung that the part is covered. I even told them Let me know how much it will cost if it is not covered but I have not received any response. It has been more than a month now. Bottom Line: Do not buy a Samsung Dishwasher. All my other Dishwashers used to last at least 10 to 15 years.

Only once covered under warranty. First 6 months gas oven. ALL top burn covers and grates discolored covered under warranty. NOW to microwave. The damn clock/timer constantly beeps and goes to #7. I mean every 1,2,3 minutes tops. Called Samsung. Knew all about problems and tried to sell me a $165 microwave door to fix problem plus $65 install. They would NOT allow me to install because it would void warranty. I questioned. What warranty? First door was not being covered. No answer to that. Now just waiting for dishwasher to go. I have been a Samsung fan for a long time. For the first time ever we experienced an issue where Samsung was not able to provide us with a reasonable solution. We purchased a Samsung Oven Range in early November 2019. One of our oven knobs broke off in our hand two weeks after the warranty expired. Samsung requires close to $100 for a replacement knob. When I pulled off the other 4 knobs on our oven range I noticed that the neck of one other knob was also cracking. The knob necks are made of plastic. I read reviews on various community chat groups and apparently, there are many Samsung customers who experienced the same problem. If I were to buy all 5 of the Samsung replacement knobs it would literally cost me as much as I paid for the entire oven range new. If Samsung is interested, I found online a very simple inexpensive fix for broken knob necks, which can also be used to prevent future breakage of unbroken knobs. Will be glad to share.

Bought from HHgregg a Samsung stainless package 08/01/13. Delivered and installed it 09/07/13. Everything worked great for a year except the dishwasher (DW80F800 series with stormwash). This dishwasher was why it took a month because it was an upgrade to the one on order but was out of stock. This dishwasher sucks! Not only does it not dry dishes from the beginning when I got it; yes I use the jet dry liquid rinse aid, error messages now keep coming on even after repairman came and replaced the main board (which took almost three weeks of hand-washing dishes), it does not have a heat drying element. $700 piece of **, after reading all the reviews of the same thing happening with lots of other Samsung dishwashers. As one reviewer said, Samsung needs to stick to making cell phones!P.S. I now have another repair order for this 15 month-old dishwasher and if he cant fix it this time Im gonna insist on a re-select from hhgregg and get a more reliable dishwasher.... Once again I just used a hair dryer to thaw out the ice maker on our Samsung RF22KREDBSR/AAQ manufactured APR 2016. Just got through using a hair dryer to defrost the ice maker again, every 4-6 weeks. Seems to be a common problem with no solution from the blogs. Really got nowhere with Samsung, just a scripted response. It appears that this is still a major issue with their re-design, maybe this design should be included in a class action lawsuit. I will not be looking at any Samsung product in the future. It is also getting more difficult to get the ice bucket back in.

I have a $3000.00 5 yr old fridge. Every month, it starts getting extremely loud & we have to unplug it overnight to defrost then plug it back in again. When we called for support, they were no help so we live with the fact that we have to do this monthly to a really expensive refrigerator thats not that old. A few days ago, I was washing the largest shelf (plastic casing & tempered glass shelf) & when I rested the shelf on the counter to dry it, the glass just exploded into countless small shards of glass. I was in bare feet & cut myself trying to get out of the kitchen to get the broom. I called for the glass shelf & after getting told to call the parts dept. I was told that the glass shelf was never available on its own, the whole shelf was $155 part and discontinued so I was referred back to the original number to find out if there is a comparable part from a more current fridge that will work.I was routed to the U.S by the automated bot (I am in Canada) & after a 16min. phone call, I was told to call the same number again & make sure I was routed within Canada this time (how I was to do that, I have no idea). I called again & this time had to wait 30min. for a callback only to find out that they cant do anything except of course sell me another $3000 fridge if I wanted. I am now going to try & get someone to cut me a piece of glass to fit the shelf on my own.... Stay as far away from Samsung as possible-they need to stick to TVs-DO NOT buy an appliance from them, you will regret it!

In July, I purchased a Samsung range and microwave and took a chance on the dishwasher. What a mistake! Absolute piece of junk! From day one, my husband complained about the racks. There is no light that tells you the dishes are clean, and the dishwasher turns on when youre unloading it. Sears took it back today. Gave me the Bosch for a few $ more. Love the micro and the range. We purchased this dishwasher at Lowes in July 2012. Earlier this year it stopped running and gave an 5E code. We looked it up in our manual and it said drain error. We checked everything and could not clear the code. We tried the cancel & drain to no avail. We ended up pulling everything out and scooping all the water out. We had a plumber come over and he checked all the drains/hoses etc. and found nothing. He then called Samsung and told them he thought it was the electrical panel and they would not tell him anything since he was not an authorize Samsung repair person. Unfortunately around this time my mom went into hospice care so hand washing dishes was going to have to suffice. My mother passed away in the summer. By late August I started contacting Samsung to get an authorized service person to come out. What a nightmare. I had to call a couple of times to get someone on the phone who would even help me. They will not give you the local persons number. I was finally given a ticket number and a phone number to call for Service Quick. This was a long distance call for me. They then said they would have a local person call with a quote and set up an appointment. So finally 6 days later I got a voice message. I returned the call now at least 4 times (another long distance number) which nobody answers the phone. It does not say the company name or anything, just a standard automated at the beep please leave a message. In the meantime I went in the phone book and called a local appliance repair person. They took the whole thing apart and told me it looked like the pump was out and possibly the electrical panel and that it looked like the parts would be about $350. That is half of what this thing cost! They suggested I just buy a new dishwasher. That in their experience the Samsung are a lot of trouble and expensive to repair. They were very nice and only charged me for a short service call. I am very frustrated. Every time I talked to a Samsung person I was asked did you purchase the extended warranty?. That is ridiculous! A dishwasher should not need an extended warranty for something not even two years old! It is now September 9th and I Still have not spoken to anyone on the repair side! I dont have money lying around to just literally throw down the drain on new appliances. But I think that is what is going to happen. I will Never buy a Samsung appliance again!

We built a house in 2016. Went with the Samsung new black stainless steel appliances. We have had nothing but problems with the Refrigerator model# RF260BEAESR. The door clips keep breaking, you can’t get in and out of the freezer part and the MOST frustrating is the ICE MAKER! I have spent no less than 15 hrs trying to fix it. It was out of warranty two weeks and got nothing from Samsung. I am going to share something I have learned: Always ask how much the extended warranty is, if it’s almost half as much as the original cost of the thing you are purchasing STAY AWAY!!! I figured this out after having bought 3 dishwashers and two refrigerators. Case in point current refrigerator (Samsung french door) warranty was $756.00 I paid $1,600.00 for it new and have had nothing but problems. Oven was $350 for warranty new it was $1,700. We have had 0 problems with it. Microhood $35.00 new $350.00 0 problems... I strongly recommend you stay away from Samsung appliances. They make a great TV maybe phone but thats it.

Samsung customer service gave me a 3rd party number to call. You guessed it, the GUYs voicemail cannot accept any more messages... NICE JOB GUYS! BTW: The model is RF4287, stainless, double door, middle drawer, and bottom freezer door. The refrigerator looks nice BUT its not worth $2,400.00 for only two years of light usage. AND one other thing when the ice maker DROPS ice in the bin you can hear the ice drop from every room in the house at night. THIS MACHINE IS WAY TOO NOISY for the price Samsung charges....

Thinking of a Samsung fridge? Stop, turn, and run away as fast as you can. Compressor on our 6 month old unit began failing nearly two months ago. Terribly loud noises coming from compressor. Over 2 dozen calls to customer service resulted in a list of stupid hoops to jump through. Level the appliance, reset temp, buy and replace water filter... Blah, blah, blah. After 4 weeks, they finally sent technician to look at it. I was told noise was coming from inside compressor (duh) and that there was nothing he could do with it. 3 more weeks passed with no followup from Samsung. So three days ago, fridge totally shot craps. $300 worth of food ruined. Now Im pissed. So now they opened up a 4th case number, and are going to send a repair technician. Problem is, the repair company listed on service confirmation is same company that visited us first time. The same company that is not equipped to work on internal elements of the unit. Meanwhile, were living out of coolers. These people are by far THE WORST I have EVER dealt with in my life. No class, crappy products. Clueless. I no longer want it fixed. I want the piece of crap out of my house. I will never again buy any Samsung branded product. Where can I sign on to a class action suit?

I have a Samsung Range that broke down after only 2 months. I set the self clean for 3 hours. After 2 hours, the touch screen died, and the oven door has been locked ever since. I called Samsung for repair service that evening and was told I would be contacted the following morning for a service call either that afternoon or the following day. Neither happened, so I called Samsung back and got the royal run-around of scripted answers. This time I was told the repair person would contact me within 24 business hours to set up a repair time, and that the repair people are very busy. Well that is because Samsung sells inferior products! I asked for a supervisor, and was put on hold for 20 minutes, no answer, so I finally hung up. I went on the website and entered my reference number, only to find out that I am supposedly scheduled for repair on 11/12. That is 9 days after I called for repair! No one has contacted me to confirm this yet. I emailed the service person to request a sooner day, but I do not expect to hear back from them, nor do I expect them to even show up really. If I could throw this range away I would, but it is so new and I cannot afford to replace it. I will NEVER even consider buying anything Samsung during my lifetime again. We are not rough on our appliances. Despite the care that we use, every door been has been replaced twice. I currently have no door bins to use. Any indication that there is too much weight in the Dawbin is undermined by the fact that they are “designed to hold a gallon of milk“. I cannot even keep condiments in the door bins without cracking. The freezer bins have cracked at the joints. The refrigerator is also designed that is difficult to take apart to clean should there be a spill. This is a the worst product I have ever purchased.

I dont care how old it is! Now... my freezer is not working and I lost all my frozen food. I bought a Samsung RF266 in 2008 after reading reviews on several websites about how convenient and reliable they were. Talk about bunk, I really wonder if these companies pay for those endorsements. I have had nothing but problems with this pile of junk. The ice maker falls apart constantly and rarely works right. And then, the fridge completely froze up inside. The repairman told me to let it thaw out 24 hours before he can come work on it (what am I supposed to do with the food in the meantime?). And then, he said hes not sure whats wrong with it. He spent an hour on the phone with a Samsung tech (which he charged me $48 for) and replaced a part that took 3 days to get. That didnt fix it. He rebated the labor but I was still stuck with the part ($65). I waited 3 more days for another part, which still didnt fix it. Two days later, we got another part, which did fix it. Samsung technical said that both parts were bad. I paid $1,800 for the unit. And I have, to date, spent nearly $900 in repair bills, not to mention what Ive suffered in food loss. Im also told there is a class action lawsuit over this issue that Im having. But I cant find access to the site where I can get in on it. My best advice: If you really want to buy a Samsung, buy an extra fridge in case the main Samsung goes down.

Their authorized repair service center is 35 miles away. I had no choice but to call a local appliance repair service technician to come and take a look. He examined the fridge and told me the compressor went dead and it would cost $800 just for the part alone, might as well get a new fridge. I am very disappointed with this verdict as I hope it would be a minor fix for such a pricey appliance. I remember when we were growing up we had a GE fridge that lasted over twenty some years. The fridges nowadays look great on the outside, but they dont last and customer support is practically nonexistent.

Samsung eventually replied to me saying It didnt have any recalls, and that was it! I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance... EVER.

I have a Samsung refrigerator that is 1.5 years old and the refrigerator does not cool. I spoke to customer service and the man was rude. He said that I had to pay to have a certified rep to come out and if it was under warranty they would pay for that but not the visit. I dont have a rep within 20 miles and I live in Detroit. Home Depot said that they have the worst appliances. I have the stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. I wish that I would have done more research. Ive wasted tons of food because it may work for a day or two before it goes out.

In November of this year I bought a Samsung fridge side-by-side with the bottom drawer and noticed three months later that the fridge drawer was discolouring, you’re not the same colour of the stainless steel as the rest of the fridge. I called them to complain and get this fixed and they said this was a cosmetic issue and it’s not covered. All this is dealing with them is a way of them playing with words and not fulfilling their responsibilities with warranty, anything but helping a customer as what I got this is definitely not cosmetic, it is a manufactures defect but they don’t use those words. Buyer beware. I will never buy Samsung products again and neither will my family members.

At the moment, our house is fully stocked with Samsung stainless steel appl
At the moment, our house is fully stocked with Samsung stainless steel appliances from top to bottom. Dishwasher, microwave, freerange oven, refrigerator, TVs, etc. You name it, we bought into the Samsung brand due to the tech features and the sleek designs, but we regret every single decision we made when buying the Samsung brand. Never have we ever had such an awful experience with EVERY single product from a single brand than with Samsung. Ill keep this review narrowed in focus to just the Samsung freerange oven, but I do want to provide some details around the numerous and frequent issues weve had with every other Samsung appliance we own.First off, some background, we usually buy our appliances from Lowes due to the proximity to our home and the frequent sales they offer. We started to renovate our house a few years ago and began purchasing new appliances at that time. From the start we had problems. First, we purchased a new Samsung waterwall dishwasher and within the first year, we had to repair a plastic motor part that drained water after the wash cycle. We decided to not purchase the Lowes warranty at the time (regrettably) and I was forced to watch a YouTube video of a guy taking the motor apart and using epoxy to repair a cheapo plastic part that was seemingly critical to the machines functionality. Next up was the Samsung microwave, which after 6 months had the motherboard supporting the dials blow out. It literally just stopped working, without warning or without an obvious cause. Luckily, this was within warranty and a new board was mailed to us, which solved the problem. Fast forward 3 years (which seems to be the magic timeframe for ALL Samsung appliances to crap out), were now having the exact same issue. So, outside of warranty, we need to figure out whether to fix or replace this crappy Samsung microwave. Next up we have the Samsung smart 55 LED TV. We bought this at Best Buy on a Black Friday deal 3 years ago and it was great...until it wasnt. No warning, it worked one day and then it didnt. Looked up all the DIY fixes and replaced the power board, no luck. It was JUST outside warranty and we know face the decision to pay more to fix it or just change to a new, different brand, TV. UGH!Now, to the Samsung freerange oven. To start, we are very, VERY, fortunate to not have had our house burn to the ground due to this incredibly dangerous and absolutely awful appliance from catching fire....TWICE! Some details, again, we bought our Samsung freerange range oven, Model NE597R0ABSR/AA, Serial Number J0V27DCC501158V, from Lowes back in 2019. We had a very old oven that just wasnt cutting it and we did quite a bit of research before purchasing this oven. We felt at the time that Samsung had very good reviews, despite some of their newer lines of appliances being out for a short period of time. We take the plunge and the experience of having it delivered and installed was great. Not more than 2 years of having the oven we had our first of two awful experiences with the oven. I cook for a family of 6 about 5-6 times a week, using 3 of the 4 range top burners and the oven at the same time. Thats a lot of cooking on a regular basis, so when we were simply cooking on 2 burners without using the oven and we saw FLAMES coming from the back of the oven, we were blown away. And terrified! We immediately turned the burner, got the fire extinguisher ready and shut off the main breaker to the kitchen. The flames subsided but the smoke was still billowing out of the back of the oven and the fire detectors went crazy. As we pulled the oven out from the wall (and took off the food, which eventually spoiled) we could see where the smoke was coming from. We unplugged the oven and took off the panel and the entire motherboard was melted....it was like someone doused it with gasoline and set it on fire. Our oven was ruined and the wall behind the oven was charred. Long story short, we filed a claim with Samsung and despite our oven being out of warranty for just a few months, they sent out techs (who didnt speak English) to replace the motherboard and it worked once again. We were pretty shaken from the experience and were hesitant using the oven or range with any level of intensity, but over time we began to use it normally. Not 10 months later, we were making dinner just like we always did (the night before Thanksgiving, nonetheless) and THE SAME THING HAPPENED, but on a different place on the the oven. We heard a POP, and the back of the oven started smoking and there were flames. Then the oven shut off. Once again, we turned off the oven, we pulled it out, we unplugged it, we removed the back panels and IT MELTED THE GODDAMN WIRES!This was the last straw. Samsung appliances have been nothing but an absolute disaster and even with warranties, they seem to stop working/break/catch fire/etc just days or weeks or months past the warranty timeframes. Samsung makes appliances and products that look great, but my god they are absolute trash. We are now in the process of replacing every Samsung product in our house to prevent a disaster in our home. Do your research, buy what you can afford, but please, do not buy Samsung. Its garbage.

Bought the refrigerator (Samsung Model RS2556SH) on 10/15/2004 and, except for the ice maker and the fact that its a bit noisy, it has worked well ever since it was installed. While the ice maker does make ice, there is usually a mixture of crushed and cubed ice and the selection setting doesnt make much difference. Im writing the review because, after reading the reviews posted on this site, I felt I should offer a positive review and let readers know there is at least one person whos had a fairly good experience with a Samsung refrigerator.

I bought my Samsung refrigerator in 2014 and have had nothing but problems with the ice maker and food being ruined continuously because it keeps defrosting. I have contacted Samsung numerous times about the issues. Their warranty is a joke. Especially when you have to pay $75 just to get the company they send out to look at the item. The food replacements was definitely not worth what I paid for this product. I have read horrible reviews on their appliances and unfortunately I regret purchasing this product. I will never purchase another Samsung product.

We purchased this Samsung Stainless Steel Model DW80F800UWS from Best Buy as a package deal along with a fridge, oven and washer/dryer. This dishwasher has been the only problem and has been defective in the first two months after our purchase. We had a drainage error code problem which a local company contracted with Samsung came out and replaced the part. After 6 months, they had to come out again and replace test another part. These both were under warranty. A third time the same sensor had gone out and they said it wasnt under warranty and that we would have to pay $350 to fix. This was almost half the price of the product. We could not afford to fix the problem and after leaving it sit for 6 months and hand washing dishes I decided to test it to see if it would work and it has ran 5 full cycles. My only guess is that the sensor has to dry out. So after every time I wash I leave the door open to air dry the unit and wait almost 24 hours before loading it up and running it. This is a pain and I know that my working unit will soon give me that dreaded error code again and Im back to hand washing dishes. Samsung definitely should have a class action lawsuit against them for knowingly having installed faulty sensors that give out immediately and making owners annoyed but happy at a free immediate repair on them until warranty expires and then we have to spend hundreds on a part that probably cost them a few bucks to make. Id also like to include that his unit has never successfully cleaned dishes. There have always been food residue along with wet dishes after the cycle has completed. I actually had a repairmen tell me that with this unit I needed to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, they told me to not use tabs but to use powder so I could add twice the amount of dishwasher cleaner needed to break down food particles. I also need to run the kitchen faucet awhile before starting to get the water hot it would wash better. I, like an idiot did all of these things. Maybe if I stand on one leg and twirl around it might make it work also.

We ordered a new Samsung dishwasher from AJ Madison. We ordered it, received it on 11/28/12. My husband installed it that night. The next evening, I loaded it, ran it and opened it. Soap was never released. I ran it again, and it was the same thing. The little door never popped open to release soap. I called the next morning. The girl from Samsung didnt really know why but theres a sensor & if its blocked, maybe it would not be released (she couldnt tell me where sensor was located). Now, its Sunday, 12/2/12. I ran it again, making sure there was nothing too tall or blocking - same thing. I called & a service call must be set up. This lady said the other person lied - there is no sensor, only for water level. She gave me the name of the service company & number. They would call the next day. The guy left his name & number. I tried several times to call him & the service company (the phone rings continuously & I cant leave voice mail). I called Samsung again - a lengthy call. It turns out its not that company. Its a different one. Dont you think I should be told this? They have my number, & I was told I should call them to set it up. We set up for Saturday. AJ Madison called & said they dont have a repair company that works on Saturdays & I had one for Monday. No one told me about that. Monday was not good for me. We called Samsung up . Well, we had to argue, of course, but some nice guy came on Saturday, 12/8/12, and said, The part is broken; it needs to be ordered & replaced (he doesnt have it in truck). When the part comes in, someone will come back & replace it. I ordered a new dishwasher - not a floor model, clearance center, or scratch & dent. Many, many, many phone calls to both Samsung (who is giving us the runaround) and AJ Madison (who is giving us the runaround) have left us with a broken new Samsung dishwasher which has only been used 3x and is broken from the start. I ordered this & think I should have some right to getting one that works the first time correctly (not broken). Im still washing by hand. Furthermore, we have offered AJ Madison to take it back & we are willing to spend more money w/ them & get something else (my husband is even willing to bring it to them). They will not do that if it can be repaired again. I ordered a new dishwasher - not a floor model or scratch & dent. We are extremely dissatisfied w/ both companies. I should have some right to get a properly working appliance for my money. We have been greatly affected by Hurricane Sandy with 4 & 1/2 ft water in our home. Now we have to argue & call daily for something that was defective. Give us a break.

I cant imagine anyone that actually uses a dishwasher designing this one! The racks are awful. The top one will not hold wine glasses or any with a stem without falling over. The bottom wont hold more than 2 bowls, without giving up space for plates. And no way can I put pans in the bottom. They just wont fit. All of those have to be on the top with all of the glasses and cups. No room for both! I have had a bunch of dishwashers, starting in the 60s. Never have I had one that is so poorly designed. From the complaints I have read I guess Im lucky it still works! I am so disappointed but I guess Im stuck with it. To be fair we did buy our second Samsung French door fridge and love it. Got to be two different designers!

My fridge works fine so far, but Im getting scared reading the other reviews. Our problem so far has been with the water filter. The ones carried by Lowes dont work in our fridge and cant get them anywhere else without ordering online and risking it being the wrong filter. Believe it or not, the notches on one part of the filter are different from the ones carried by Lowes. So far Samsung has said that the filter from their website, which will cost me more money because of shipping charges, is the one that works. Yeah, well see. They just dont seem to care, either Lowes or Samsung.

Do not ever buy a Samsung appliance. Their customer service is terrible and their dishwasher works about 50% of the time. We are a household of 4 who use the dishwasher (model # DW80F600UTS/AA) once a day and load it sparingly, correctly, and with little soap. We have had a service person here 4 times since we bought it 7 months ago with an added extended warranty and they say they cannot correct the problem which is that the soap dispenser fails to open sometimes and other times opens but does not dispense the soap and other times works fine. They put in a new pump but that did not solve it. We have contacted Best Buy where we bought it. They turn us over to the appliance service they contract with. The appliance service says they cant do anything more. They turn us over to Samsung who says run it with no dishes in it and if it fails to open and dispense soap call us. But, we say, the problem exists 50% of the time, not 100%. Since we are still under factory one year warranty before the extended warranty kicks in, Samsung will charge us if they come out and cant locate a problem. We have spent hours and hours and hours on this. Would any of them be content with an appliance that fails to perform half the time?! I would also say that I will not buy anything else from Best Buy because they do not stand behind what they sell as soon as you are out the door, extended warranty or not. $801 spent on something that doesnt work right and they wont fix or replace.

In Jan 2015, Samsung authorized repair service, Charika Appliance Repair of Inverness, FL came out to install a new ice maker unit. They punctured the sealed coolant system and the refrigerator stopped working!! Samsung offered to exchange the broken refrigerator with the same model or a refund. On Jan 10, 2015, I emailed Samsung the Home Depot invoice and register receipt, and on Jan 11th a list of spoiled food. We were told that a refund was in process and we would be contacted within 24-48 hours by the refund department. Today, Jan 20th, I called for a refund status and they had not started it yet. They DO NOT refund the $105 sales tax we paid, even though the Home Depot receipt says FULL REFUND. They also DO NOT refund over $250 for spoiled food. BEWARE OF SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS!!! After 3 weeks of deliberations, Samsung is reimbursing me for the purchase price of the range rather than replacing it. I have a 5 year old Samsung French door refrigerator. The refrigerator compartment is cooled by what they call a cooling tower. This is a very poor design. It frosts up behind the panel and the fan stops working and the fridge wont cool. I defrosted mine but it didnt help. Service replaced the cooling tower and within 45 days I was having same problem. After some very poor local service they are going to replace the cooling tower again. The replacement part is noisy and fridge temp bounces between 42 and 50 while set at 34. I wont buy another Samsung fridge. A fridge should last at least 10 years. I had to replace a $200 board for the freezer after 2 years. After paying 3 $90 service fees, $116 for tower and $32 for drain kit I have spent over $600 total in repairs for this fridge in 5 years.

Samsung Refrigerator, bottom Freezer, refrigerator defrost stopped working, refrigerator completely frosted and refrigerator no longer worked. I defrosted, retried and within 2 weeks same again. I called a local so-called service person, Greg ** and he came and checked it. It had totally frosted over again. He defrosted and said he had to order the part. What he ordered was probably the most expensive part, the computer module. He returned and installed the new module at a cost of $423.73. 2 weeks later, same thing all over. He returned, rechecked and said it appeared to be functioning and there was nothing further he could do with it. At that time I went online and looked up the problem which was also a problem for others. Since it was the defrost that was not working I guessed that it must be the defrost coil or the temperature sensor. I contacted Samsung and ordered an Evaporator Assy, Refrig SMG for $123.28 and a Sensor, Temp F PX-41C TD at a price of $13.82 (all plus taxes and shipping). I did not know in advance that the Evaporator Assy included a temp sensor. I replaced both the Evaporator Assy and the Temp sensor in Aug 2014 and the refrigerator has been working fine ever since. Had I known in advance I would have only purchased the temp sensor first at a cost of $13.82, that may have solved the problem. My biggest complaint is that Greg **, so called service person, chose to replace the most expensive item first, especially since he admitted it was only trial and error and that he could not know exactly what the problem was. He charged $423.73 for something that he did not fix and I later had to fix it myself. I am not a service person and I was able to get the refrigerator working!
