We purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator from hhgregg in September
We purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator from hhgregg in September 2015. In July, 2016, the refrigerator stopped cooling. The fan was replaced under warranty. The total time from first call to completion was 11 days. Freezer worked fine throughout. September 13, 2016, same problem. After two days we called Samsung service again since we had not heard from the repair service. We were told that they didnt have a service person available and would continue to try to find one. hhgregg has been unable/unwilling to provide service. Their attempt to put us in touch with a service company led to being returned to the Samsung service queue. I would give both Samsung and hhgregg 0 stars if I could.

Model # RF28HMEDBSR/AA-07. I bought it in July of 2015. In 2017 I had to replace the entire water filtration system. In 2018, I had to replace the ice maker unit. It took well over 3 months for the repairman to get the part in. Now, I am sitting here writing this, so very frustrated as my refrigerator again needs a new ice maker unit. The back wall of the unit is coated in ice and in order to defrost, it must be done manually - I use a hairdryer. The drink dispenser is a constant drip of slushy water. You pay for a new product, you dont expect to pay the price again in repairs. This is a defective item! Never again - I will never buy any Samsung product!!

I purchased a package deal of appliances on black Friday 2013. We were to be getting our kitchen remodeled in Jan. 2014. The remodeling didnt get started on schedule, our appliances had been delivered to Best Buy and they were in their way so we allowed them to deliver in Feb. 2014. We stored them until the remodeling job was complete. The appliances were installed in July 2014. One month after installation the delicate light was flashing. Im thinking OK maybe its me doing something wrong, it wasnt. I finally called and it was repaired under warranty in Sept. 2014. They replaced the sensor and the PC board. They replaced one, a day later we called and they came back out and replaced the other. It worked fine until about 2-4 weeks ago, the delicate light again is flashing. According to the book that came with it and Samsung employees it is a draining issue. It drains fine, so I dont believe that is the issue. Even though it was installed 8 months ago and repaired 2 Xs already and another repairman coming out this Friday, April 17, 2015, it is no longer under warranty! I believe I too got a lemon, and told them so while on the phone. They did tell me today, if I could prove that it wasnt installed until July 2014 to send them the papers and MAYBE they would do something. I am so aggravated with this dishwasher (DW80F600UTS)!!! Knock on wood, so far my microwave, electric stove and frig work great. Unless Samsung makes this right with me, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE SAMSUNG AGAIN AND I WILL CONVINCE FAMILY AND FRIENDS NOT TO PURCHASE THEM EITHER!!!

My hardwood floor is damaged - second time in two months! We found water puddling up on the right side facing the fridge. In searching for the source, we found a small puddle inside the fridge on the right side just under the large cold-cut drawer. On further inspection and upon taking the drawer out, we found a solid thick block of ice! In fact, it was very difficult to remove the drawer. We thought we were breaking something! That was two months ago. The Samsung authorized repairman told us that the back panel was frozen, we would have to turn the fridge off for 2 days and then he would come back, take the panel off and maybe find what was causing our problem. How do you store all your cold food for two days? Well, he said our fridge was too cold and that we caused the problem! Well, two months later the fridge was at recommended temp and the same problem happened again. Now, we find its a design problem and Samsung is sending out a bulletin to their authorized repair people in two weeks!

I have on-going problems with the ice maker. I had a switch go out on the compressor and have had it lose cooling in the freezer, model #RS2555SL. I have ordered and installed two brand new ice makers and both of them. I immediately turned the ice cube tray (unfilled) until it twisted and then never returned to the fill position. I contacted Justanswers.com and they told me this is a very common problem and that I should keep returning it until I get one that works. Is this the state of how products are made these days? Inferior quality and inferior service. This consumer will never buy another product with the Samsung name on it and will warn everyone I know of the inferior quality and service on these products.

Not happy at all with all refrigerator. Have had tap service out here twice in a year and a half the ice maker on a brand new refrigerator. Constant problems with it. But more than that we purchase the extended warranty and the service company they sent out Lakes Electronics in Pompano Beach was horrible and reset our refrigerator to a freezer and ruined about $100 worth of fresh vegetables, fruits and condiments. Lakes Electronics promised they were going to get back to us well over two weeks ago and cant be bothered. As well as had me on hold three different times for close to an hour waiting for somebody to resolve this problem. That was their way of avoiding taking care of the issue - just ignoring me and leaving me on hold and wasting my workday.

We purchased the Samsung Electric Range Model NE595R0ABSR Oct. 2014. The convection fan in the oven stopped working. This also causes the oven temp. to drop. Contacted Samsung Consumer Support. I was told the item is out of warranty. They will not provide a part number or allow you to purchase the items to repair the issue. They do have preferred service companies aka sub-contractors. Samsung can not or will not provide an estimate on what the repair may cost. Im in my 40s and remember appliances of my parents and grandparents lasting 20 plus years. I will NEVER purchase or recommend ANY Samsung appliance!

In April, we purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher from City Furniture. This was a very special treat, as we had used free and 50.00 dishwasher all our married lives. We got a top of the line one, thinking this way, we would not have any repairs for year. How wrong we were. Within a week of having it, the dishwasher flashed a code, and quit. After calling Samsung for three weeks, City Furniture kindly replaced the unit. It ran fine..for a month. Then it quit. Multiple phone calls to Samsung, a month later... its fixed. Ran fine for 2 months. Since then, we have made many, many phone calls to Samsung. They have: Twice sent our repair request to the wrong servicemen. Escalated our call three times... No response... Who does not service this area. When they did finally get hold of the right serviceman he was beyond rude. But I guess if you are the only Samsung serviceman in the ares (he is), you can afford to piss off customers, because what else are they going to do? Then Samsung sent the wrong error code to the repairman. After a month, the part came in. Oh but wrong part, because he had the wrong code. Gave him right code. Still waiting. Months later. We have a $1000 dollar Samsung 8 month old dishwasher that has now been NOT working more often that it has worked. Another call to Samsung yesterday. Their response was well, we have to wait for the technician to file a report before we can do anything. You mean the technician who STILL HASNT COME??? Time for BBB. Do yourselves a favour. Dont buy Samsung.

Consumers need to know that Samsung refrigerators have an inherent manufact
Consumers need to know that Samsung refrigerators have an inherent manufacturing design defect concerning the defrost cycle in the freezer section. If any number of components are non-functional, a sheet of ice builds up behind the freezer panel and the fan is unable to spin even if it receives a signal from the PCB (computer board). This horrible sound described by many customers is the fan grinding against the ice as it is trying to spin. There is a defrost temperature sensor that is read by the main computer board. When the temperature in the freezer falls below 18-22 degrees, the PCB picks up the decrease in temperature from the defrost sensor and sends a voltage signal to the bi-metal thermostat, which closes a circuit inside the thermostat (two metal strips) and sends voltage to the heater. The heaters job is to keep the evaporator coils from developing frost and ice buildup. The same thing can happen in the refrigerator section since Samsung designed a twin evaporator system for its refrigerators, one for the freezer section and one for the refrigerator section. Also, there is a timer which is integrated into the PCB that is supposed to keep the thermostat closed for a specified period of time in order for the heater to do its job. Sometimes, the timer on the PCB is faulty and it doesnt maintain the voltage long enough to keep the thermostat in the closed position in order for the heater to defrost the evaporator coils. Unfortunately, the failure of any one of these components can cause a problem resulting in ice build-up and the freezer not working. Samsung has re-engineered or modified its heater and evaporator systems in its refrigerator models several times over. Also, there are complicated voltage readings that should be read from the PCB, and very few, if any, technicians know how to read the PCB or take the time to perform a full diagnostics test. In order to perform a full diagnostics check, the technician has to put the refrigerator in a forced defrost mode which includes both compartments (fridge & freezer). Most technicians do not like to perform this test because it takes time and time is money to an appliance repair business. If you decide to hire a technician, make sure he performs a forced defrost mode test and reads the voltages at the PCB. In order for the tech to read the voltages, he/she has to remove a panel in the back of the refrigerator to access the PCB with his multimeter. Also, the tech should perform a continuity test on the thermal fuse, heater, thermostat, and defrost temp and humidity sensors. If you want to have a better understanding of your Samsung refrigerator, type in Samsung fast track troubleshooting on Google search.Good luck and make sure your technician performs all of the above-mentioned tests. If he refuses, ask him to leave. I know from my own experience, I will never purchase a Samsung product again. Also, a class-action lawsuit has been brought in a few states by several law firms that combined their forces against Samsung. You can Google Samsung refrigerator class-action lawsuit. The complaint should be there on one of the pages.

Call Samsung repair March 9. Their technician came out March 15th. Said it was a failed compressor and it was still under the 5-year warranty. I have been on the phone for 2 1/2 weeks. Today March 22, 2018 theyre laugh while putting you on multiple holds. Customer rep told me to fix it myself and then submit my bill to them and they may reimburse me. I called Sears appliance repair for an estimate with parts and labor. It would be between $590 to $700. We paid $1169.00 for our Samsung refrigerator. It should not break nor should we be out of pocket $700. Plus we lost all the food in fridge in freezer. Go to Samsung FB page. They treat consumers horrible. I have called multiple times, filed a complaint yesterday with BBB, Attorney General & CFPB. They the compressor is still under Manufacturers Factory Warranty. It has 3 of the 5 years left. There should be a Civil Suit filed against Samsung. Worst Refrigerator ever. Customer Representatives should all be fired. They are rude and lie to you. Ask for your ticket number that they have had for weeks. The automotive service knows my name when I call to get me right over to their rude customer service reps at the REPAIR Line.

I bought my Samsung oven in June 2019. I self cleaned it a year later and everything seems to be working fine. I tried to self clean this year in September and all of a sudden it stopped in just about 20 minutes, then I tried to do it again and it stopped again. I tried it the next day but the same thing happen again. I got an error code that the fans are not cooling enough. I had to wait and still waiting this day for ABT to fix the problem. The biggest problem is not that, after I self cleaned this time I got a spot inside the oven that looks like a stain but its not. I tried to clean it but its getting bigger and bigger every time I touch it. By the way this happened after the self clean because I never had it before and it looks like as of the paint is starting to peel. The second problem that I have encountered with this range is that ever since I started using the middle burner, the paint started to peel around it as well. Just a reminder this is only 2 years old range.I called Samsung twice and they promised me that someone will come out to help me with the problem. They gave me one time complimentary warranty since the manufacturer warranty is only for 1 year. I also had to tell the customer service people that if there is nothing that they can do about it, dont waste my time and send someone here, and the guy told me, NO. They will be able to help you. A tech came out and looked at it and then he had to call his boss and show him what was happing to our oven and top of the stove, then guess what he tells me? I am sorry, but this is cosmetic and its not covered, and thats what I didnt want to hear. I was so frustrated, and pissed off. What a waste of my time.I called the customer service and the lady told me that she is sorry that this had happen to me and there is nothing anybody can do for me at this time. I have never in my life had such an experience, and had to write a bad review about any company. I used to think Samsung was good, not anymore. I dont recommend it for anyone to buy it. I wish I had done some research before buying.

I bought a $550 Samsung Stainless Steel Dishwasher and then due to delays in the remodel and a simultaneous divorce, only got around to installing the unit just a year and a few days after my date of purchase. The unit gave an error code - bad pump, and never actually worked. Samsung customer support is the most rude, terrible support ever and there is no warranty based on install date, just on purchase date. Appliance repair said the parts cost for the pump is $350 and Im better off throwing this unit away and buying a different brand. Have the same unit in a rental and it works but really doesnt clean well at all. Dont buy Samsung appliances.

Despite the bad reviews for the Samsung slide in stove, I was smitten by the good design. Moreover, online specifications (since changed by Samsung, but I still have the original) offered a broad range of heights to fit a higher counter top than average. For the last 10 months since its purchase, I kept the stove top like-new, wiping carefully with baking soda if necessary, after every use. With no apparent reason, the stove cracked in the middle and NOT EVEN when in use. It happened literally overnight. A straight crack, it was deemed a heat crack (isnt this a stove?) and the warranty covered its replacement. Still, there should be NO excuse for any product to be so shoddy. I have read about multiple cases of other cracks, some considered the consumers fault, but I doubt it. This and other appliances with absurdly short planned obsolecence should be regulated and the consumers should be better protected.

Our brand new refrigerator broke so we called, it took them a week to come, another week to get the part, another 2 weeks to get another part. Its now been 4 1/2 weeks. I said after the first 2 1/2 weeks they should replace the fridge. Samsung... said no. I am disabled and I dont drive. My husband travels and we live in the country so we buy a lot of food and then he flies out. We had just stocked the fridge. I lost over 1000K in food the first time. I called and spoke with a guy about getting reimbursed on the food loss and he said List everything and they would jump on it. A rude lady called me back after the fridge was fixed and said Samsung only gives out 200$ as a courtesy. Why did I go through all the hassle of listing everything if they only give 200$. I forgot to mention that my medicine has to be refrigerated so we had to go get ice every day and again I dont drive. It was horrible. My poor son had to go get us food every day and that was a terrible expense because eating out is so expensive. So now for the worst part. Three weeks later the refrigerator broke again. I called this time and said I just want the money to replace. Please hurry because we cant go buy a new one until we get the money from the old one. That was 6-21-17... Its now 7- 12-15. I was told it should only take 2-3. Its been three weeks and when you load my ticket number in the website it does not give any information. When the refrigerator broke the second time... (YES IT BROKE AGAIN). I even told the ride lady that it was not running well when she called about the first 200$. She said she would have someone call me to set up repairs etc. I never got that phone call. I lost another fridge full of food. So I get one more 200$. Thats all! I just now got an update on the first 200$.That took 2 months. If it takes that long to get the money for the refrigerator it will be terrible for my family. Im not sure what to do? Every time I call everyone says that they will try and get whomever to speed up the process but so far it has been a nightmare. It has caused so much more than just a loss from a fridge. Its been a terrible domino effect. But so far I have lived with no refrigerator for 2 1/2 months... Could you do that? I have had company during this time twice. My son graduated high school and the whole family came. Something should be done and Samsung owes me something more than just replacement cost of my refrigerator. Im very upset. If you can help me please let me know.

SE display on control panel - Model SMH9207ST - 2 years and 8 months after installation, the SE display started to appear. Turning power off-on, sometimes would start it going again for only a few days. Unfortunately, this action is not working any longer. Have contacted Samsung and according to them, there are no complaints on this model (I found numerous) and since its over one year old, well have to pay for any repair. Since this is an over the range model, built in my remodeled kitchen, Im stuck with this piece of crap! I purchased a Samsung refrigerator ( Model RF266AERS ) just over three years ago. Within the first three months the refrigerator started making a loud vibrating noise. The manual suggested unplugging and replugging the unit to reset it, so it did and it was successful at times. I hadnt bought a refrigerator in over 25 years so I also just assumed the newer ones were a bit louder than the old ones. The next thing I noticed was that the refrigerator temperature seemed to fluctuate which was indicated by a beeping noise and the digital display changing whenever the temperature changed from the programmed temp. Again I unplugged the refrigerator as the manual suggested so that it [may reset itself.] Each time I unplugged and replugged the refrigerator the beeping fluctuating temperature indicator would stop. The frequency at which the beeping would occur became more frequent (one month apart). Today as I type this letter the beeping is almost non stop, to the point that my wife and i have to close off the kitchen doors so that we may sleep at night. There are countless other things we have experienced with the refrigerator over the past three years including random defrosts where we will notice all our frozen food has been thawed. Another problem has been water gathering under the crisper bins and frost in the back of our refrigerator. We have adhered to all the manufacturers suggestions and direct, but we can not get a consistent satisfactory service from our refrigerator and truly believe it is a manufactured lemon and defective by design. We are further discouraged from spending money to have a repair person look at it as there are hundreds of similar complaints online for our model and similar models within that line and timeline. A consensus of the complaints we read mainly tell the story of how people spent hundreds of dollars in repair only to have issue reappear within weeks. We are very disappointed and frustrated. We are hopeful that we can be a part of a lawsuit to recoup at least some of our money back to purchase a new refrigerator. I have contacted Samsung, but have not heard back from them yet.

My Samsung refrigerator (Stainless Steel Bottom Freezer) is less than a year old and the freezer stopped working this evening (12 Jun 2018). I am thoroughly convinced, after having read similar reviews published within the last few days and weeks, that the Samsung refrigerators were either immediately defective upon being manufactured or became defective while in transit. Though the product is currently under warranty, I do not look forward to having to deal with the retailer (Home Depot) and/or the manufacturer in order to repair it. I strongly advise the reader to not purchase a Samsung refrigerator.

We purchased our very expensive Samsung fridge, French doors, freezer on the bottom. March of 2017. After 6 months we had issues with the drawers and shelves cracking and breaking. Not only are the parts cheaply made but almost a $1000 in warranty calls with Lowes has been spent on trying to fix the ice maker. It is a vicious cycle. The entire thing freezes over, we have to defrost it then wait for the entire unit to reset. When we DO have ice, the ice doesnt Staub cold, water leaks all over the inside and outside of the fridge and into the floor. We are so sick of this issue. We have only had the unit for 2 years and were STUCK with it!

Purchased a brand new Samsung counter depth fridge. Ice maker continued to freeze up and eventually was unable to make ice. After two repair visits ($180) from the local company I purchased it from (someone I had dealt with for years and was an authorized dealer) I decided to call Samsung. After a few hours of problem determination (including defrosting the unit again and chipping away the ice) the issue was considered corrected. Of course a month later same issue - contacted service again and they scheduled a service call. The service tech was there 30 seconds and knew exactly what the problem was. There is a significant gap between the inside wall and ice maker allowing air into the unit. Very obviously a manufacturer defect and one they had seen many times before.I contacted Samsung service again - explaining the issue and requesting to be reimbursed for my third service call (Im now up to $270 on a 2 1/2 year old unit that I paid $3500 for) and was not very politely told the unit was out of service, it was not a known defect, and they would not reimburse my service call. Sad but true, worst part is they would not own up to the defect, although the tech told me they are required to report their repair fixes which they have done many on these units. They even carry a special tube of caulking with them just for these units. Good luck buying one - last Samsung product I will ever purchase!

I have a $3000.00 5 yr old fridge. Every month, it starts getting extremely loud & we have to unplug it overnight to defrost then plug it back in again. When we called for support, they were no help so we live with the fact that we have to do this monthly to a really expensive refrigerator thats not that old. A few days ago, I was washing the largest shelf (plastic casing & tempered glass shelf) & when I rested the shelf on the counter to dry it, the glass just exploded into countless small shards of glass. I was in bare feet & cut myself trying to get out of the kitchen to get the broom. I called for the glass shelf & after getting told to call the parts dept. I was told that the glass shelf was never available on its own, the whole shelf was $155 part and discontinued so I was referred back to the original number to find out if there is a comparable part from a more current fridge that will work.I was routed to the U.S by the automated bot (I am in Canada) & after a 16min. phone call, I was told to call the same number again & make sure I was routed within Canada this time (how I was to do that, I have no idea). I called again & this time had to wait 30min. for a callback only to find out that they cant do anything except of course sell me another $3000 fridge if I wanted. I am now going to try & get someone to cut me a piece of glass to fit the shelf on my own.... Stay as far away from Samsung as possible-they need to stick to TVs-DO NOT buy an appliance from them, you will regret it!

Terrible experience with Samsung and Sears. Refrigerator has design defect. Water Leaking in crisper drawers, gasket molded, door spring broke and handles paint peeled, and evaporator cover would not seal in first 10 months. Samsung and Sears will not replace this lemon. We will NEVER do business with Sears or Samsung!! We are moving this out of our kitchen before it ruins our wood floors and we have more expense. The worst refrigerator experience in our 43 year marriage. Sad day when companies are so worthless. Looking for class action suit.

I purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher from Home Depot less than a year ago. One day, my dishwasher decided to not turn on. I called Home Depot Support, they sent me to Samsung support. Samsung was great at first, they were able to get a repairman out within two days. Repairman came to my home, looked at my dishwasher and told me I needed a new circuit board. He would have to order it and come back sometime next week. Okay great. Here’s where things went downhill. He proceeded to tell me I needed to hire someone to come uninstall my dishwasher so that he can work on it. I will then have to hire someone again to come out and reinstall it once Samsung fixes it. What the hell!

I purchased this refrigerator in December 2016. Four months later the ice maker froze up and Im sending emails to Samsung. None of the things they asked me to try helped. I just kept defrosting the refrigerator and trying different things. They finally sent a repairman that replaced the ice maker and a few months later I was back to defrosting the refrigerator again. Then in December of 2018 the fan behind the back panel in the refrigerator froze up and I had to replace that. Now I have to defrost my refrigerator every month or two to keep it working. Lots of trouble and a headache to have to do this all the time! Samsung told me that my model was not listed as one they had problems with!!! I wish Samsung would do something about this wide spread problem.

I purchased a 4 door Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago 01-21-17. The icemaker is defective, per the technician that indicates this is a known issue and not a recall, but basically the water spatters as it fills the ice maker, causing frost to build up, and eventually freezing the fan. This leads to melting of the ice and re-freezing and more frost and eventually locks up the entire ice maker. In some cases the ice builds up so quickly that you cant get the ice drawer out. This is not a gasket or seal issue. The issue is caused by a poorly designed water filling process that eventually fails, so if you want to piss away $2800 buy this RF23J9011SR piece of junk.

I have a Samsung dishwasher that was manufactured in 2011 (model number DMT400RHS). It has several physical defects. The lower front cover (part Number AP4342361) caught on the door repeatedly and bent, which requires me to periodically rescrew it to the dishwasher. A prong on my upper dish rack snapped off and is rusting. The dish rack rollers (part Number AP4342187) pop off of the dish rack repeatedly. The biggest problem, however, is that a metal piece of the interior cabinet has partially detached and bent. It prevents the lower dish rack from being pulled out or pushed in without a great deal of effort - particularly if it is weighted with plates. I was told by a Samsung authorized service technician that this problem could not be repaired but that the part was under a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, since I am not the original purchaser of the dishwasher (the previous owners of my home installed it), Samsung will not offer me any compensation or assistance in finding a solution.

Appalled by the way Samsung and Lowe’s have treated me. My brand-new Samsung electric range did not work properly from day one! After multiple calls speaking with agents who attempted to have ME fix the issues while they were on the phone, Samsung reluctantly sent a service repairman to my home. C & E Appliances sent someone who admitted they knew Nothing, about cooking. The first thing he did was blame me for buying a stove which offered the rapid boiling option! Secondly, he snidely stated, I bet you never read the manual to your stove. Both statements were untrue! I bought this stove as part of an appliance package. I purchased them for various reasons, but NOT one included rapid boiling. I have read the manual many, many times and worked with Samsung employees to fix the issues. The repairman explained that other people were having similar issues with baking; especially bread and cakes. He stated he didnt know anything about baking. He also told me he didnt know anything about simmering! According to the stove’s manual simmering occurs when your knob is placed on Low. (See pg. 35) My stove will not simmer, and my oven does not bake evenly. Since the repairman did not know why I needed to simmer I explained a few things about some of my favorite recipes. Most of them require simmering at a specific temperature. “Simmering cooks the food gently and slowly, allowing it to maintain its structure in ways that are impossible with boiling.”C & E’s repairman advised me to preheat my oven for an extra 15 minutes prior to baking. He also said I should bring my rice to a boil on one burner, transfer the pot to another burner and turn the knob below the Low setting to simmer. I have lots of photos to prove his advice did NOT work. Samsung drew my complaints out with self-help fixes which did not work. Soon after the first serviceman left Samsungs 1-year warranty expired. Based on the recommendation of Lowes salesperson, I had purchased a 5-year extended warranty, which turned out to be worthless. Lowes sent me the exact same man to look at my stove! The warranty clearly states if Lowe’s or Samsung can’t fix it they will replace it. I have taken this matter as far as any of your companies’ phone systems will allow. Promises from those claiming to be corporate managers have been broken.A 2nd repairman came out to investigate. He checked the brand-new pots I had purchased for my brand-new stove and they were fine. He had absolutely no idea what was wrong and suggested I use the back burners to simmer, or the warming center. Neither is possible. The smaller burners in the back are not large enough to simmer soups, stews, sauces or rice. According to the manual, and common sense, the pot or “Pan should not hang over the element by more than one-half inch.” (See pg. 37.) The temperature on the small warming center is not high enough to simmer, nor is the element big enough to accommodate a larger size pan. (See pg. 50.) I made a formal complaint to the BBB concerning C & E Appliance. Preparing a formal complaint to BBB for Lowes and Samsung.

We bought our Samsung dishwasher thinking that all dishwashers were the same. This was just an upgraded appliance that would match our new refrigerator. Were we wrong! The LC code popped up one night after it drained out the water on our kitchen floor. No matter if I opened the door or closed it the dishwasher ran. I had to cut the power off to the dishwasher to get it to stop. Hours on the phone to Samsung only to be sent to some place for repairs that was over three hours away. Looked up reviews for this place and they were terrible. We ended up going back to Home Depot that night where we bought it from. No problem, they took it back and we purchased a KitchenAid for just $100 more. This was on a Sunday evening and we had our new dishwasher on Friday morning. Home Depot stepped up big time on this one. Apparently theres been a lot of this going on and they werent surprised but really couldnt say the words. When our installer came over he also couldnt say the words but did agree with the statement that Samsung dishwashers were the ones they replaced the most. Ill spend the time researching before our next appliance purchase. I guess appliances arent all about the looks and the fancy technology now. Experiences from actual consumers tell the real story. Needless to say we wont be buying any products from Samsung.

Will never buy a product made by Samsung ever again. Purchased a fridge 4 years ago and had problems 2 months outside the warranty period. Called Samsung customer service. Was told that we would have to bear the cost ourselves. They will notify the technician and he will call us the same day. 3 days later no contact. Spoke with Samsung again... useless. Fan iced up and fridge stopped being cooled so all food went bad. The technician (we found ourselves) that serviced it said it was a design flaw and he had seen a lot of these problems in Samsung fridges. Samsung have no idea of customer service. Today our fridge finally died - both fridge and freezer too warm. Went out today and had to buy another fridge/freezer..... WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR EVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS AGAIN.

We strongly feel that Samsung should stick to making cell phones. We bought our refrigerator (as well as a Samsung d/w) from Sears about three years ago and we are already at the point of having to replace the fridge. We are not AT ALL happy about having to cough up the money again after spending $1600 the first time on what turns out to be a piece of junk that has given us nothing but problems. The last repair person who came out to fix it through our home warranty program (because Samsungs warranty expired the week before we had our first major issue with the appliance) said that he worked almost exclusively on Samsungs because they are what the vast majority of his service calls are about. That was eye opening!

Samsung RS265LABP - terrible, terrible experience. We had an extended warranty for up to 4 years. Called a few months before it ran out for frozen food in bottom drawers. Drawers were bulging outward because back of refrigerator was frozen and bulging. The outward thrust of the drawers kept the refrigerator door from closing and the food on top warmed up and was ruined. The celery, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. became frozen. Over the last 4 years we have had 3 different servicemen come for a total of 5-6 service calls which translates to no small expense as the warranty expired. Basically all that is accomplished is a defrosting. One repairman refused to come back; he said Samsung refrigerators had ruined his reputation. We keep a tea towel at the bottom of the refrigerator to keep the leaks from going out the door and on the floor. Never will we ever purchase anything from Samsung. They have ruined their own reputation.

We have had the Samsung Refrigerator Model RF263BEAEWW/AA for about 1 1/2 years now which we purchased from Conns... a.k.a. Cons. This will be the 3rd time that we will have to call the repair service for repair. Because our refrigerator is out of warranty, we are, so to speak, been screwed by the pooch. Conns will not step up to the plate and offer any kind of service or help... Will never go there again, nor recommend that store. (NFM here I come). Nor will Samsung say that there is any problem with this defective product though they have Class Action Lawsuits against them for similar products. Needless to say, we will never step foot into a Conns (Cons) store again, nor buy Samsung if they will not stand behind their product. If anyone has any suggestions or help, it would be appreciated.

And now the ninth one is dead... I have spend over $1000.00 on a $3000.00 refrigerator, just have ice. To make matters worse, the front door under the ice maker has more rust, from the leaking ice maker, than a 30 year old ship rusting at sea. As a single father of four girls, money is tight and we can no longer budget a thousand plus dollars for ice! I can not recommend to anyone a Samsung product ... that continues to cost this much after purchase... and at seven years, is rusted so bad. Now, the power went off in our neighborhood and when it came back on, the control panel only shows 86 88 and it doesnt respond to touch. The door has started to rust below the ice dispenser due to moisture from the small catch tray. This is not my first Samsung appliance either. I threw away a washer & dryer set I bought that had multiple problems after one year. I too will not purchase any appliances from Samsung. The TVs seem to be working fine. My 28 cf Samsung French door refrigerator with ice and water in the door has been acting up AGAIN. It was fine for the first year, then the bottom of the icemaker (above the ice bin) started frosting over. Luckily I had used Discover who honored their free year of extended warranty. The repairman replaced the control unit and said the problem had to do with the heater of the icemaker that heats the ice to let it release. $400 but Discover sent me a check. The problem started to reoccur several months later and now, 10 months later the icemaker is once again not dropping ice because it is blocked by frost. The ice is not as hard as it should be and I get water out of the icemaker before I get ice. The fridge is set at 35, but is 40 on a thermometer. I called the same repair place. Only a 90-day warranty on the part. They arent doing Samsung (or LG) anymore. The parts take too long to come in and they get too many callbacks. Great. It was a good repairman, now Ill be at the mercy of the schmucks that Samsung sends. There should be a class action suit. The mfg has a duty to produce a product that performs the function is it meant to do. Its call warranty of merchantability I think. Sony got sued once for larger screen TVs that failed in less than 4 years and they did an extended warranty for those sets. I think this fridge could be the same.Updated 12/08/2016: I am updating my review from 12/2/16. I googled the problem of ice buildup and refrigerator being warm. My ice was soft and I called the company that did the repair less than one year ago for frost buildup on the ice maker. They told me it is only a 90 day warranty on the parts and labor for the repair (part warrantied by Samsung for only 90 days!). They also told me they no longer service Samsung and LG.For Samsung part of the reason is that the parts take up to a month to get and also they got a lot of callbacks on the Samsung jobs. I had had trouble even finding anybody to work on it last year so I hope I can keep fixing it myself... I took the advice I found online and tried to defrost the ice maker using codes. It worked a little, but I had to resort to a hair dryer and melt the ice off the underside of the ice tray and melt the ice behind the ice maker that was apparently blocking air flow to the ice maker and also the fan that circulates the fridge air. We now hear the unit turning on like it used to and the ice is better (harder). It is pathetic that the replacement control board also failed. Neither the original nor the replacement lasted a full year, even though the repairman had told me the part he replaced had been changed by Samsung due to a problem with it. Really seems like a class action case to me since they acknowledged the defect.

Bought a Samsung side by side refrigerator when I moved into my house 3.75 years ago. Nothing but trouble. The ice maker actually still works fine (unlike other reviews); however, several shelves have broke and Ive had to order parts to replace. But the worst issue is at around 2.75 years the refrig just couldnt maintain cold - temp was above 50 degrees F. We had a control sensor installed ($375) and had to turn off unit for 3 days to defrost ice off of the fan blades. Refrigerator than 6 months later starts to not be able to hold cold temps again and temp is again above 50 degrees. I wrote to them about the problem and they directed the questions and then said it had to be repaired at my expense. The specific model is RF217 French door.

We paid $2700 for a Samsung refrigerator with an extended five year warranty. A few months after the warranty ran out, the compressor died. For $95, Samsung’s repairman recommended buying a new refrigerator rather than paying over $1000 for the repair. Samsung Support recommended finding an unauthorized repairman that might do the repair at a lower price. Meanwhile, we are using our 29 year old Hotpoint refrigerator that we have in our garage.

Motor makes grinding noises. Samsung is aware that they have mfrd. a dud, to the extent that they have stopped making our model. Our unit is only two years old. Purchased a black stainless “fingerprintless” less than 2 years ago and the freezer section stopped working. Called and they came out to fix it. Needed a new compressor and luckily for us it is a warranty item. Less than 2 months later same thing, freezer is not working. Needs ANOTHER compressor. They said we could get a new one. Big deal, who wants another headache? I’ve lost so much food and having to eat out while waiting to get it fixed is ridiculously expensive! I wish I could get my money back and go with a quality refrigerator. I am angry at myself because we bought this one to replace a Samsung piece of junk and I go and do this to myself when I swore I’d never buy another one. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!!! I have a dishwasher too and I hate that as much as the refrigerator!

Lets start with a Samsung refrigerator, model RF260BEAEBC/AA, that had a failed ice maker in first six weeks. After working with Samsung call center to do troubleshooting, no change. Now with outsourced service company, USSI, who can be reached for updates through a toll number, not even a toll-free 800 number. Company has not vested interest in Samsung product quality, as they service other brands also. We will be without ice maker for nine days before the hoped-for Monday call from service to schedule a service visit. I can tell you, the USSI call center rep was about as cool and indifferent to my problem and the delays as you can get. In the future, will try to stay away from products where company is not fully invested in the warranty and service aspect.

I purchased this refrigerator almost a year and a half ago. It suddenly started playing up. Now it’s neither cooling fridge nor freezer compartment. I live in a town almost 200 km away from Jeddah from where I bought it from. I contacted the dealer and he straightaway refused to help. I asked him for the contact number of Samsung Jeddahs main dealer, but he told me, “If anything goes wrong with your appliances, it is just your bad luck and we cant help you.” So I called one refrigeration engineer at my own expense and he diagnosed that the problem lies in the motherboard unit and my refrigerator is non-repairable.Everyone knows how hot the weather is in Saudi Arabia and the pain I suffered because this world class brand is really awful. I would not recommend anyone to go for this ** brand Samsung ever owing to their awful reliability and customer service track.

I have done this three times now. I have been without a working unit since November 2014. Samsung built a lemon and they could care less about my hardship. I not only dont recommend this product, but I also would suggest that you avoid Samsung products altogether. We purchased a dryer with matching washer and have had multiple problems with them. After six technician visits we still dont have a fully working washer or dryer and to make things worse they have told us we need to pay if we want another technician visit. I sent the following email to Samsungs supposed executive customer relations department as well as directly to the Samsung US CEO, it was completely ignored by them.Up until just recently I have been a huge fan of Samsung products. I have owned or currently own monitors, mobile phones, washers, dryers, and TVs. I have been a loyal customer but my most recent purchase has me awestruck. About four months ago we purchased a SmartCare VRT laundry set. The day after it was installed we woke to find our home with a strong smell of gas. I determined it was coming from the laundry room and suspected the laundry appliance installation was at fault. We called Samsung for service and a technician was sent out. The technician investigated the gas leak and informed me that the gas lines to our new home were leaking and not one of the Samsung appliances. I called the gas company and when they arrived they found that there was a gas leak, but it wasn’t in the house lines. It was coming from the dryer. We called Samsung a second time. When the technician performed the second appointment he acknowledged that the dryer was leaking and scheduled another appointment to replace the faulty part. Three visits from the Samsung technician and finally we get a working dryer after two weeks. A few months later my wife started complaining about the washer stopping and throwing an error in the middle of hot water loads. After it happened a few times I told her to call Samsung for repair. The technician came out and spent about thirty minutes with the washer. He eventually called me in and told me that it has hot water and that there wasn’t much he could do. I informed the technician that when my wife pointed out the issue I recalled an error message “4C” being displayed when the wash would stop functioning and constantly beep with the error message. After basically living with a washer that won’t use hot water cycles for a couple of weeks my wife noticed that the dryer wasn’t drying clothes normally. We called Samsung again and informed them that our washer was still malfunctioning and now the dryer was not working well either. This time before the appointment I spent a couple of hours recording video on my phone of the 4C error and erratic behavior of the washer. The next day the technician arrived and spent about fifteen minutes with the dryer. The technician informed me that we shouldn’t use specific features (smart features like auto dry) on our dryer and that we should use timed dry. I was told that although the dryer had some warmth that there is heat so the dryer is working fine but at no time did the technician check the temperature with, how does he know if it’s getting up to proper temperature? Yeah, the dryer gets warm but not hot, in fact not even close to hot. When I mentioned the washer and show the technician the video of the malfunction, I was told it wasn’t on the work order and even though we called for service for it and had video of the malfunction that it could not be looked at because it wasn’t on the service order. Tonight, I followed the technician’s instructions and used the time dry to dry a handful of clothes. After one hour the clothes on high heat with eco dry turned off the clothes were still quite wet. The dryer clearly doesn’t work as it did a month ago. The technician also recommended cleaning our ducts but seriously it’s a six-month-old home and my wife does maybe three loads a week for two people, so the equipment is hardly being overworked much less should I have a duct problem. I also noticed that my wife is very good about cleaning the dryer lint catcher. She does it every load from what I see. I hate to ramble on but as you can see this has been nothing less than an adventure and a complete waste of my time not to mention the time off from work involved in six technician visits that didn’t result in our appliances being fixed. I recently posted all this information to the Samsung Facebook page and it was completely ignored for a week which is simply insulting at this point.

Our 3 year old Samsung side-by-side with all the bells and whistles stopped cooling, both freezer and refrig side. After dealing with the noise created by freezing up inside freezing and fan hitting the ice, we learned to defrost it for a while then it worked. But now, after turning back on after defrosting a FROST FREE unit, the whole thing stopped working. Called Samsung and was told no warranty left on this appliance. Their repair company would take several days to come out, so I had my own repair person come look at it. They replaced several things, then came to the conclusion it was the compressor. This person even went online and discovered that there was supposed to be a 5 year warranty on the compressor that no one at Samsung told me about. I called back to Samsung to complain that I was technically deceived by not being told about the warranty. They said Too bad my technician had voided that warranty by trying to fix the thing and they would not honor any part of warranty. I am furious! I spoke with the highest department I could get to in Samsung with no success. I even asked for a CEO or someone like that who would listen to my complaint: Nothing. Now In stuck with a 300 pound paperweight~ wonder if it worth putting a new compressor in it since nearly everything else has been replaced? Dont Buy Samsung Appliances!!

I got this stove in 2012 and had purchased extended warranty for 3 years. The stove was okay performance wise but scratched too easily. I had other glass cooktops that looked better even after 8, 9 years while this one got all scratched up. And three weeks back the glass top just burst when I was cooking. Thankfully the shards of glass held intact and did not fall in. As per my manual the glass top was covered for 5 years. I call extended warranty that had expired and found out that this was common occurrence with samsung stoves. I register a complaint with Samsung customer service and as per the guy who spoke he will send a service tech to inspect cause as it was still under warranty. I was asked to email pictures which I promptly did. After living 1 week without stove I follow up and was transferred to Executive customer service and the lady who spoke was really rude. She checked my email as I am on phone after asking for date and case # etc and right away says that claim is rejected because it is physical damage and after repeated questioning too could not explain physical damage and proceeded to say it was my fault. I said Ill sue them and she goes on to say I could and send me the response in email as I asked that for legal purposes. She cuts me off and emails that it is my fault hence not covered. I call again and fight my way through the same BS Executive customer service and convince other guy to open new case and send pictures from different angles. After dealing with them for 3 weeks an hour each time on phone they say they cannot honour the warranty and say it is cosmetic scratches that caused the break. How can something that you yourself call cosmetic cause a shattered glass. I will never buy anything samsung ever again. Dont waste your money buying anything made of samsung. They have no integrity and make ** products and wont even honour their own warranty.

Unless someone chose to make it right, which they wont, I would never buy a refrigerator ever again from Samsung. Absolutely, hands down, the worse decision I made. Spent nearly $2,000 and I would have been better off keeping my 20 year old Kenmore that ran very well but was outdated. Ive always used Samsung products, from TVs to phone, however this item rusted within a year (no, no harsh chemicals were ever used and water was quickly dried off). Fan motor went in 2 years. Fan motor was under warranty so no problem, however rusted doors were never covered as they were cosmetic. Samsungs products are purchased precisely for that reason - theyre beautiful. But trust me, they are garbage. Samsung didnt want to make it right - so no more TVs... I am an iPhone guy now... never again until they make it right.

Same error codes. Samsung says it is off warranty so they wont fix it. The service company, Totem Appliances in Burnaby, BC, says they only warranty the parts for 90 days. They wont fix it either, unless I pay for it. Likely about $300. About 3 years ago, I bought a 4-door Samsung refrigerator, along with a new gas stove and microwave. The refrigerator started buzzing. Doing some research, I found that this is a fairly common issue. You could see ice starting to form out of the vents of the twin cooler. Repairman came out and replaced the part with a new MODIFIED part. I capitalize the word modified because if there werent any issues with the original part, then why are replacement parts being modified? Talking with Samsung, they refuse to acknowledge that there is a severe design flaw, and essentially leave their customers out to dry by making us pay to fix something because of a design flaw.Fast forward to now (only a few months after the part replacement), and it is BUZZING AGAIN!!! I am livid. Samsung, once again, is useless in assisting their customers. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT EVER BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!! Never before has my satisfaction with a company taken such a turn. I had a fabulous experience with a Samsung TV I had bought many years ago and developed a loyalty, which of course now has gone to hell in a hand basket. Shame on Samsung. Very unimpressed.

I redid my kitchen in 2015, so I needed all new appliances. I loved how the Samsung 4 door French door refrigerator looked and I researched and others seemed to love it...clearly, they didnt wait a year after to review. A year later, it stopped cooling. I had just made a Costco run so both the fridge and freezer were at max capacity. All that food had to be tossed. I called Samsung and they sent someone out a couple days later. It was a fuse that blew out, literally took him 15 minutes to fix. Fast forward to 2017, the fridge makes a loud humming noise like a plane taking off and water drips from the water/ice dispenser...found the problem online. It is a known design flaw. The back freezes up, so that is the humming noise. I look online and everyone says to thaw out the fridge. Ok, I do that and reload all the food...again. A few months later it happens again, however, this time the ice maker is also so frozen that no ice dispenses...oh, and the water STILL leaks out. I research...again, known flaw, but this time its the rubber seal isnt tight enough. So, thaw out the fridge. Again this works for oh...about a month. Then it happens again. I literally just defrosted it again 2 days ago because everything was frozen up. Today it is humming LOUDLY. I will NEVER EVER purchase another appliance from Samsung. There is a class action lawsuit pending concerning these issues, FYI. Unfortunately, I also have a dishwasher and washer/dryer. So far, so good on those appliances. Do NOT purchase a Samsung appliance. Period.

Aesthetically the two of the ceramic top stove are eye pleasing. I love the black stainless steel color although it would be nice if both sides of the stove were also steel but they are black and not pretty. I find the top quite difficult to keep shiny and it scratches easily. I love the convenience of having two small ovens that can turn into one large oven if I need it. I find cleaning between the glass of the oven door very cumbersome. I like the way it cooks but I would not purchase this stove again.

I bought a Samsung French door fridge in 2013 and soon after we have been having the exact same icemaker problems and now after making loud noises, it has stopped working. Im glad I read what others have gone through. I will cancel the repair appointment which would have cost me $160.00 just for them to tell me that the compressor had gone. Thanks everybody, thats it for me and Samsung appliances.
