I purchased the Maytag Bravos top load washer and the matching dryer at Home Depot back in 2009 after giving my son my very old Maytag washer and dryer that was running just fine. I liked the top load energy efficiency idea of the new Bravos and the large capacity of both the washer and dryer. Also, the Maytag name sold me, gave me confidence I was purchasing a quality product... WRONG. When it was delivered, there was damage to the dryer door, so a new one was ordered and mailed directly to me. Once it came in, I called to have someone come put it on. First issue, not a really big deal but disappointing.About one month into using the dryer, the top of it became so hot it could literally burn your hand. There was also an error message. I had purchased a one-year warranty, even though technically there is a manufacturer's warranty on the product. A part had to be replaced in the panel. This happened twice. We then moved out of state for one year and the washer and dryer stayed in storage unused during that time.Fast forward to 2014 and the washer will not complete any cycle except the "spin" cycle. I keep getting an error message of "OL" which means "overload". The machine is NOT overloaded. It literally takes me hours to get through one cycle of washing clothes. And they don't even come out clean. I called Maytag repair and they offered me a one-year warranty for $363.75 since the washer is having issues. They explained to me if it's the control panel the cost alone for that is $383.00 not including labor. Also, the dryer take forever to dry. I have to run each load through a cycle twice to dry everything. So much for the energy efficiency of these machines. At this point, I am considering just buying another washer, something cheaper without all the fancy bells and whistles. I am terribly disappointed in Maytag.

So far they have been very good devices. I have had a Kenmore washer and dryer for 2 years and have had no serious issues with them. I would recommend any Kenmore product. You really get a great deal especially when you buy both. I think if you question other brands then you should go for a Kenmore product. They also last a good time. You never have to replace your appliances for a good while.

The washer and dryer are a matching set green in color. They're working perfectly and they do as they are expected to do. Also, the wash loads are perfect for my amount of laundry and it doesn't take too long to wash or dry. I haven't had to have any service to them at all and haven't had any problems. I wash and dry 3 or more loads a week for over 6 1/2 years since I purchased them used and for $150 it was a very well investment.

It dries your clothes fast but does NO damage to them. It's quiet when it is running. It lasts a long time. I love it, good brand to buy. It has never gave me any problems for as long as I have owned it and that says a lot to me. You want to buy a good product and I would say this is one. It has a nice sleek modern look to it but I think most washers/dryers look almost about the same so really you can't go wrong with the look of them. You want a product that gives you bang for your buck (a good value) and that also lasts a long time with no problems and that is what I got.

I love my Kenmore washer and dryer set. It is the very best brand that I have ever used. I would recommend it to everyone. My old washer and dryer took a lot of electricity and when I got my new ones, my electric bill went down 40 dollars a month!

LG ventless dryer purchased in 2012 for about $900 at Home Depot. It dies two weeks after warranty expires. Trip charge $72, replace control board $250, labor $100. Total $422 repairs. Do not buy LG products.

The Kenmore washer and dryer set work very well together and does exactly what I need it to do. It washes and dries fast. I don't need specific or special detergent or any nonsense to use these for great fresh clean clothes. I like the simplicity of the washer and dryer and how it's not "smart" or connected. It's easy to use and there's no need for all the whistles and bells. I inherited the washer and the dryer with the house, but they have been excellent appliances and are at least 10-15 years old and still work great. I've only had to replace the knobs on the top of the dryer but that was about it.

I recently purchased a 2020 Speed Queen top load washer and matching gas dryer. The products were highly rated and I must say they perform well. I did find an issue with the washer only. When the machine is running it generates an RF field that almost totally interferes with AM radio broadcasts. This happens when a portable (battery powered) or plug in radio is used. This never happened with previous GE washer or Kenmore washer that I owned over the past 40 plus years. I contacted their service dept. online and explained the situation. The response was, "We sell a filter kit to remedy this situation but it is not covered by your warranty." I priced the kit at various sites and they run anywhere from $145 on up. Now mind you this is for part only. Installation was not even mentioned. I find this unreasonable as they admit to a problem by offering a "fix" at the consumer's expense.

Bought the Bravos machines in 2008. Nothing but trouble. First they both had to have their timers replaced because they took two hours to wash/dry a load. Then the washer began to leak. I need to keep a towel under it and swap it out with another one as it gets wet. Had warranty folks come out to repair it. Took three tries and two guys working together to figure out what was wrong. Within a year it was leaking again - back to the towels! The dryer always takes at least two cycles to get anything dry. No more Maytag for me!

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer - The washer does not stay balanced even with a very small load (even though advertised can wash King size comforter). Even with a light load, we have to put the dryer on Heavy Duty or Bulky...and usually have to dry a second time. When attempted to contact Whirlpool, no help available. WORST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER PURCHASED... Would not even want to GIVE this set to a friend or family member. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT.
