We bought LG refrigerator last week, but when we diffuse the ice, all water will come in the tray and from the tray water, ice comes out. We complained so many times but we were not able to get good help. A service man came but after he left the same things happened. Please do help us, otherwise, change the refrigerator. We thought LG products are very good but now were not sure, after buying this refrigerator. Please help us, as soon as possible. Regards, Vijay ****

To: The Manufacturers of Over-The-Range Microwaves. PLEASE, downsize. They keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger, to the point where I have to replace my beautiful expensive cabinets in order to accommodate the darn microwave. And from what Ive read on the internet, I am not the only one. It definitely looks like there is market for them that is NOT being fulfilled. Can one of the manufacturers please step up to the plate on this? Why is it that I can find a counter top microwave that is only 10-14 high, but when I look for an OTR its 16 and up.

Here I find myself reporting ANOTHER problem with our LG refrigerator that cost almost $3000. Its the three door with the freezer door on the bottom and is supposed to be wonderful because it has a linear something or other. The freezer compressor lasted just over one year. The labor warranty had expired and the compressor was covered. It still cost me $450 for the repair. Now, about one year later, the freezer has stopped working two more times with all the frozen food thawing. Curiously, after the food thaws, the motor starts working again. This happened to me again today. Fortunately, I have an old reliable Kenmore backup in the garage. I think that LG does not deserve another customer. Expect problems from them if you dare buy one. They should definitely be OOB. OUT OF BUSINESS!

I have an LG front loader. 6 yrs. old. Never had a problem. The quality is excellent. A few minor things I would change, like the short bursts of water when filling. Cleaning is very good and they spin so dry that it cuts down on drying time in the dryer.

This 6-year-old LG LFC25760ST refrigerator is at my vacation home. Its hardly used as compared to my 2 other refrigerators which are manufactured by Amana & Whirlpool, 10 & 18 years old and working without any problems. The tech repair said the weld failed on the low end freon side of the cooling system. LG tells me its beyond the warranty period and there is nothing they can do.

LG French door refrigerator - I was reading Tony from San Antonios problem with his fridge and it sounds exactly the same for me. 22 months ago, I bought an LG refrigerator from Best Buy for $2400 and last week, it stopped cooling down enough to safely use. It cant get below 40-50 degrees. I didnt get the extended warranty so now I have spent another $400 on service calls and nobody can figure out whats wrong. They tried adding some Freon thinking there was a leak but now I am getting an error message on the front. If anyone has had a similar problem and figured out what to do to fix it, please email me what worked. Never again, LG.

Purchased in Spring of 2015, and just before the year warranty went out, the ice maker quit working. After a week or two we got that fixed, and while waiting on that repair, my sons LG refrigerator stopped cooling and he was having major issues with getting it repaired b/c it was out of the year warranty (purchased Fall of 2014). Because he was having so many issues, we decided to buy the LG Extended Warranty, just in case, and it was over $500. So now were in for over $3000 for this refrigerator. FYI, my son junked his after several months b/c he could not find anyone who could/would work in it or even figure out what was wrong with it!!! THEN just this past month, July 18th we returned home from a weeks vacation and the refrigerator had stopped working, so we were up until late throwing out over $500 worth of food and cleaning a nasty refrigerator. My husband called them immediately and started the process of getting the repairs made using the LG Extended Warranty. It took him three calls to just get to the right people that might could help us, and they said it would be the end of the week before anyone could JUST look at it! Well, those folks never called the day before, as promised, so my husband starts calling again. Finally someone showed up on July 28th, but guess what? Its a sealed system and LG wouldnt let them work on it. My husband has spent hours on the phone going from person after person up the chain, and finally on August 2nd he got a supervisor that admitted that they had no one in the State of Louisiana that could even work on our refrigerator!!!We are waiting for a call by 2:00 today to see what they are going to do about the situation, to fix or replace... oh, and the LG Extended Warranty will only reimburse us for $250 of our food, not to mention weve had to eat out much more and buy a smaller refrigerator just to keep a few cold food items in! LG is a JOKE, both their refrigerators and their LG Extended Warranties!!! STEER CLEAR OF LG REFRIGERATORS!!! Ill let you know what happen when we hear back from LG.

This washer and dryer were rated about as well as any, so it was kind of a tossup what to get. You are supposed to use TUB CLEAN cycle monthly or more often (This on a front loader that is supposed to SAVE water) and after every time you use the machine you are supposed to wipe around the 2 gaskets that stay wet. If you dont, and even if you do this creates odors, sometimes even if youre careful to wipe all around. Wiping the gaskets down requires getting on the floor and going into the tight crevices with a rag all around. Also, you are supposed to frequently empty the drain at bottom and clean out the filter. This also requires sitting/crouching on floor and the first few times I had water all over the floor and under washer. Very impractical. So far it hasnt had repairs (2 years old) but is noisier over time and thumps around a lot on spin cycle. Poor design all around.

Our refrigerator failed because the compressor starter. I reached LG customer service after I searched for the part and find out that the part is no longer available. After 3 calls and checking with the companies that supply LG parts and service (recommended by LG customer Service), I called again and I told the lady that the part was not available and the people from those companies recommended me to call back LG and ask for a substitute part. The lady told me LG does not have a substitute part and that I need to buy a new refrigerator. Guess what, I got a new refrigerator. NO LG, NEVER AGAIN!

I really loved this refrigerator (LMXS30776S), lots of space, extra drawer for drinks, and the black stainless steel. We bought it 5/22/16, and the compressor went out on 6/29/18... we bought the extended warranty (thru HH Gregg). They had someone out 7/3 who said they werent qualified to fix the compressor, and another company stood us up altogether. After hours spent on hold, and the warranty company saying its now in a diff department... I ended up live chatting with LG who gave me a list of their approved companies - out of 6 I finally have someone coming out to hopefully fix the compressor on 7/20. We paid $3461 (tax & warranty included) for this beautiful piece of worthless metal! I understand things break, but I think its strange that some companies refuse to work on LG refrigerators or arent qualified. I would never recommend this refrigerator.

The ice maker/water dispenser has never worked properly. It was replaced during the warranty stage. Now theres a crack in it where the water fills up before going into the trays inside. Water is constantly leaking out the dispenser. The ice maker freezes up and to get it out to unclog it, you have to yank really hard since its frozen in place by the water that leaks out. The door is being ruined due to the constant water leak. Also, the plastic veggie/meat drawers are both cracked. Really thin edges on them. Just yesterday, the plastic cover on the edge of the shelf came off and wont stay on anymore.

I wished that I could have read this blog before I purchased my LG refrigerator. I purchased my refrigerator 4 years ago and have had the fuse blown twice, ruining all the contents of my refrigerator. The servicemans fix was using a paperclip to bypass the fuse and order me a new board, which would cost $400 (if I didnt have warranty). He explained that on this refrigerator, the fuse was located on the main circuit board and when the little fuse blows, you have to replace the whole board, which costs around $400.00, and it takes awhile to obtain. Two years almost to that day, my refrigerator went out again due to the same issue. I had extended warranty through Home Depot. It took a week to get a serviceman to my home, to hear that the main fix is to by-pass the fuse with a paperclip or some wire. I was told that LG is aware of the poor design and hasnt made any changes to keep this problem from occurring again. I lost another refrigerator full of food and some expensive medications to hear the paper clip is the answer again! I told the service repair that I wanted a new board ordered and placed on the back of this expensive refrigerator to hear him say that it is a temporary fix. LG has an issue with their product, people have contacted them, and they seem not to care. I contacted via Live Chat to hear, I am sorry for your inconvenience and had enough of that pre-typed message and asked for a supervisor. The supervisor said that there was nothing they could do but would pass my complaint on to a claims review dept. and that they may or may not contact me to help resolve the issue. I asked for a phone number to contact LG and was told by John (the supervisor) that he did not have a number for me to talk with someone about my issue. This was all that I needed to hear from someone online. It seems that LG hides behind their Live Chat personnel and are not interested in addressing their issues. Home Depot should be embarrassed to carry their products. We teach our children to make their wrongs right. I guess LG missed out on that lesson!

Zero stars would be more like it! I have had an LG Steam Dryer for 2.5 years. It has never worked. I fortunately did purchase the Extended Service Plan from Home Depot. I have had it repaired 6 times and thats 12 service calls. It will heat a little for a few weeks and then stop working all together. The 6th repair, it didnt even heat the day the repair was done. Since then, Ive called numerous times and Assurant (the provided for Home Depots service plan) wont get back to me, wont send anyone to fix it, wont start a claim. I see it falls into the Lemon Law but if they can drag their feet for another month, one of the repairs falls off and then it isnt the Lemon Law any more. They refuse to do anything to help. Ive called Home Depot Corporate to see if they would do anything to help and was told no, you need to work with Assurant. I have also called the Gas Company to look at it to make sure it was hooked up correctly to begin with. It is hooked up correctly but they said the flame is so huge that its a total fire hazard and is now completely unhooked. So Im left with a $1200+ piece of junk and no way to dry any clothes. I will never shop at Home Depot nor will I buy LG anything again. Dont believe reviews that say LG is in the top for dryers because believe me, they are all junk!

We bought a new LG Top Load Washer and it started to leak water from the bottom. I called LG because it was under the manufacture warranty. We have had the repair people out 5x already and each time they have failed to fix the issue. I have called LG several times to explain that is has been a MONTH with no washer and that I have an immuno-compromised child that needs clean clothes. I cannot bring the clothes somewhere to do them because they could become contaminated and make my child sick. LG customer service has not been any help in resolving the issue. They continue to say that they will send the repair people out again and will not replace the machine. If the repair people could not fix it in 5 tries and a month later, then LG needs to replace the lemon of a washer they manufactured. I have a sick child and they have no consideration for that. I called Home Depot where I bought the machine and an extended warranty, but they cannot do anything because they have to wait until the manufacturers warranty runs out! I will never buy any LG products again!

Knobs on stove disintegrate & become nonfunctional & break. This is my 3rd replacement of knobs, & I will need a 4th replacement soon. The first 2 were covered by extended warranty. The knobs when bumped, can easily, cause gas to escape. The can happen with the lightest bump, & is generally unnoticed, by individual, until the strong gas smell is evident! My communications over the years has been extremely frustrating, & unacceptable. I was told that knobs are ornamental by one employee. Another claimed it was my misuse because I left the oven door open. Once someone told me I would get replace the knobs free within a week. They never came! I finally bought new ones for about $275. The plastic overlay on what appears to be a metal knob is beginning to crackle. That means the cylinder that holds the knob on is soon to break. I bought the latest replacement knobs less than 6 months ago. It seems to me there is a sufficient case for a class action suit against LG.

My 18-month old LG top load WaveForce washer has the dreaded uneven load syndrome like so many others. The machine was recalled and repaired the first year and the problem started to appear. They made a small problem worse with the software upgrade. What is even more frustrating is that LG knows there is a problem, claims it will be repaired under warranty, sends a technician without a warranty repair number so he is forced to ask me to pay for the repair on the spot! I refused, asked the tech to leave and called yet another number I was given by LG to get my machine fixed. Why not have one customer service number? Why make me wait at home taking time off work for 4 hours and LIE to me that the repairs would be covered under warranty? Basically, I have a machine that looks like new but will take over 2 hours to complete a load (if at all). My old Amana cost $300 and lasted 12 years. This will be the last LG product I will aver buy!!!!!!

We bought a set about a year ago the LG washer inverter direct drive/true balance anti-vibration system with steam technology and the LG sensor dry with steam technology. I thought it might be too technical but its easy to use and my water bill is 7 to 10 dollars a month cheaper and we use a 1/4 of the detergent that we did before. And the options are many and it plays a musical tune when its done not a buzz that scares you and it large enough to do anything. I got the extended warranty because of the electronic board. Only one problem was the washer is so deep my wife has to use grabbers to get the laundry out of the washer. I think this was money well spent on and I like that the door on the dryer can pull down or from the side, the washer has a glass top thats called diamond glass and a soap and softener dispenser. I did wish they had it in something more than white and Im still learning thing about it like I can connect it to my phone to let me know when its done but I really have to say thats pretty lazy. I hope this helps someone if theyre looking.

This dishwasher is so simple to use. The shelf racks fold down for big items. There are only 6 buttons to push. And one of them is the power button So youre not going to get confused with what to push. It is a very quiet cleaning process. In August 2009, I purchased $5000 worth of house appliances (refrigerator, range, washer and dryer) with extended warranties from Best Buy. The LG refrigerator, LSC26905SB, has not operated properly since day one. Best Buy came out once every three months with an inoperable ice maker. After the first year, Best Buy informed me there was no extended warranty on the refrigerator. I called Best Buy corporation and explained that the online customer service representative forgot to give me an extended warranty on the refrigerator. They told there was nothing they could do. Fast forward to 2012, I am replacing the ice maker chute which is $289 and the ice maker tray drips which is another $200. I believe Best Buy intentionally left the warranty off of the refrigerator because it is a piece of garbage. Of course, I requested a copy of my receipt and Best Buy stated they dont have a copy.

I actually have had good experiences with LG products and have always thought the brand is not only dependable but is just as contemporary as other much higher price. Also the features are good and innovative that seems to be getting even better all time. It was kinda wide and for being so wide I thought it couldve had more compartments. Just me but, I dont like that some foods are not separated from other because of smells and foods that are more pungent or eaten more quickly. Overall it was a good refrigerator for eight years that I owned and used it. For one thing the barrier that keeps condiments and such from falling out when the refrigerator was opened. When I cleaned it the compartments were easy to remove and easy to put back in. I only had to replace a couple of bulbs as far as any maintenance is concerned. Very dependable I would say. I sold the refrigerator after having it for the few years. I mentioned to a friend who bought it for his daughter and as far as I know she is still using it.

None of the service reps wanted to touch the unit. They stated that LG refrigerators had high linear compressor failure rate plus LG was delinquent in remitting payment for their services rendered. LGs compressors are warranted for 10 yrs. but purchasers must pay for all labor and trip charges. The authorized reps stated the average cost of to replace the compressor was between $600-$1200. Updated on 01/08/2019: After two failures and unsuccessful repairs, Asurion sent another repair company over. The repairman walked into the house and said I know what the problem is already as he heard the compressor groaning in the kitchen. After conferring with his boss over the phone, I was informed that they no longer will do repairs on LG products because LG does not pay their invoice. So not only does Home Depot continue to sell this junk, but the repair shops that would handle the extended warranty repairs will not work on LG. A couple of weeks later, Asurion (out of the blue) called and said that a reimbursement check was being sent. Could that be due to the class action lawsuit recently filed nationwide against LG?? So we got the check, disposed of the LG, and bought a KitchenAid that sits quietly in the kitchen, keeping things cool and keeping us composed. OH, and never a word from LG through any of this business.Original Review: Two Compressors in Two Months...LG is junk: We purchased this LG from Home Depot in December of 2016. It had great features, was very attractive, and large capacity. In November, 2017 we returned home to find the kitchen flooded and the fridge was warm. We called the Home Depot warranty company and a repairman came out two days later. They didnt have local repairmen so he came from 60 miles away btw. He said it was the compressor and he said he replaces LG compressors on a regular basis. Ultimately it took him 3 weeks to obtain one due to LG being out of stock on compressors. He installed it and the warranty company gave us a food reimbursement check. Two days later, the same thing happened! Spoiled food. Flood. Repairman showed up again and repeated the slow ordering process. Home Depot sent over a small dorm fridge just in time for Thanksgiving. Now the compressor is again making noises. LG is totally unresponsive to this; they would rather the repairmen make the repairs for them, that they are too cheap to do upon manufacture.

I have never written a review but am so dissatisfied with my LG Direct Drive Dishwasher (paid over $800) - I felt compelled to warn others. I have hated it from day one mainly for the design of the racks. Although the tines look evenly aligned they do not hold my dishes upright causing them to fall over. I have rearranged them hoping to find better placement but to no avail. The glasses on top fall over as well causing a number of them to break since purchasing just over 2 months ago. They clang into each other while washing. This morning was the last straw when I discovered 90 percent of the coffee cups and glasses were caked with debris and need to be washed over. I hate this thing. Buyer beware - model 406KWELS3892.

I like the capacity of this particular refrigerator. Its a nice size with great features that I use all the time. I like the fact it has an ice maker. I like choosing different kinds of ice. It also has cold water that tastes like bottle. I love it and wouldnt change anything. I like LG in general. I think the brand is underrated and reasonably priced. Other brands were too expensive and didnt offer the same features.

We purchased 3 high end LG Appliances for our home 6 years ago - each has broken down so far. Now the fridge is broken again (exact same problem I paid to fix 6 months ago) and LG refuses to stand behind their repairs or products. This is outrageous for a company such as LG to take advantage of customers and collect repairs costs on an ongoing basis after they have sold their products. Please consider any other brand (even a cheap one) before LG... they are a bottomless money paying pit.

I purchased an 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer Featuring Powerful Stain Care Technology Model: WT4870CW in March 2014, in addition to the companion dryer. I purchased this product as reviews had been good, and the price was right. It has been the worst machine I have ever owned. In spite of trying various settings, and contacting the manufacturer, clothes just dont get clean, and even today, linens that I took out had more stains on them than when they went in. The clothes dont agitate, and even if you use a setting that adds more water, the clothes just dont move around. They come out in the same position as when you loaded the machine. Forget using a water-saving setting - the clothes are barely damp. The machine will go off balance if there is anything, even one item, that is of a different weight. It resets itself endlessly. I miss my old Maytag and cant wait for a reason to get rid of the LG Washer. The drier is also a problem, but I guess I can live with wrinkled clothes more than I can with dirty ones. Dont buy an LG.

Purchased a LG front load washing machine that has been leaking water for the past 4 months. Machine is still under warranty: 3 different service technicians visited home over 5 times and have been unable to repair the machine. The technicians initially claimed we were using too much detergent, till the last technician found a crack in the discharge hose and replaced it. Unfortunately, that wasnt the only problem as the machine is still leaking, but now worse than before. And now the leak is so bad, it resulted in water damage to our new construction home. Not only that, but the once quiet machine now sounds worse than before and the technician scratched up our unit.I informed LG again but still no result. From the very beginning, I pleaded with them to send a different service company to our home, but LG refused. I talked to customer service reps and even folks in their executive services department to no avail. After the first few visits, I began to ask for LG to replace the unit, again LG refused. After the leak caused water damage, I asked again for LG to replace the unit, but again LG refused. The machine is still under warranty, the service technicians have been unable to repair the unit, but LG still refuses to replace it even though the terms of the warranty indicate that replacement is an option.

I have been an LG customer for very long with almost all appliances being from LG. However my dishwasher problem has disappointed me greatly. I have an dishwasher model D1452WF which is my 2nd LG dishwasher over a period of 15 years. However after 4 years of using D1452WF, I noticed start of rusting of both the upper and lower racks/trays. I thought it was just a minor issue and continued using. But now after one more year, I have noticed that the rust has increased. The spares racks cost around US$215. I am really disappointed. What is the use of a 10 year motor warranty when the inside trays start rusting much earlier. I use salt regularly to soften the water. I have no other problems with the machine. So there is no point in buying such an equipment unless they make reliable parts as well.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator with bottom freezer in June of 2013. In August of 2013, the ice maker went out. It took about 2wks to get it repaired. Now here in May of 2014, the ice maker and freezer arent working. I have asked that the refrigerator be replaced because not only is the ice maker not working, but now the freezer, which is a clear indication that it is a faulty product. LG has refused to replace it stating they will only repair it. They have tried and were unable to fix the initial problem. The fair and responsible thing to do is replace this faulty product.

Like others have mentioned, the lint filter on the dryer lifts up on the corner where the clothes land as they tumble. This causes clothes to catch on the corner of the filter and get destroyed. This also allows more lint to get through past the filter, causing lint to buildup inside the dryer and in the ducts leading outside your home. Weve lost countless articles of clothing. We have replaced the lint filter, but it still sticks out and catches clothes.

We change our filters every 6 months. For days we have put microwave hot rags down the right side of the cube holder to soften the cube holder so that we are able to move the tray holder out. This is very frustrating because we host a lot of parties and have to buy ice. The refrigerator is 41 degrees and the freezer is -2. Please help.

Our daughter and son-in-law purchased a LG french door fridge six years ago. Love the french door... but... after about 1-1/2 years... maybe 2... the fridge went out. My husband pulled the panel off the back and found a fuse blown. Cant order just a fuse? What? Had to order a whole new circuit board... $$$. So we took burnt fuse out and went to local hardware and purchased one as close as we could. Installed and waalaa it worked again. Now, it happened again so we showed our daughter and son-in-law how to change the fuse and keep the wires clean... The fridge goes out about once a year but wow does it save them a ton of money being able to fix themselves. And the fridge works just fine! GOOD LUCK!

They were so stubborn and did not want to take responsibility. So they had a workman come out and order basically whole new washer parts to put together. It was ridiculous. It must of cost them twice what the washer cost. When all the ones arrived a different guy came out to put it together. He realized that the problem had been when it was put together at the factory the bleach compartment wasnt hooked up right and had alowed it to seep into the metal parts of the machine. He put what he could together. It works fine now. No more rust but it is loud from having to use part that were somewhat mangled from everyone trying to figure out what the problem was. He did not need to use the outside of the machine or the new drum. I ended up taking them to a metal place to discard. Its a shame I had to fight with LG for two years when this could have been an easy fix. Now I wont purchase anything LG.

I purchased my LG top load washer almost 2 years ago and for about the last 6-9 months, had nothing but problems. The machine shakes violently when in spin mode, will get the UE signal 1/2 way through the wash and then restart the wash ALL OVER AGAIN! As a result of the machine going in and out, I had to lug clothes to the coin operated machine, which by way, is around $20.00 each visit! Ive had to make TWO service calls now and working on the THIRD! Im so fed-up that Im going to look into purchasing another machine this weekend! Bought my LG from Sears one year ago. Within that time, I had it replaced five times. The bottom drawer builds ice and wont open. The back board went out and freezes and they wont give me another one. Wanted my money back from the first one, they said just try another one or I did five more times. They wont fix it so I have LG coming out to fix it today. Im still making payments on it and just want the new model. The part is on recall. Spent many hours on phone, six hours a day, 4 hours a day and so on. Well, its been a month. Sears has a very mean person in parts. She made me cry. She told me that I was scamming Sears. How the hell am I scamming Sears when they have been all broke last 2 1/2 months? Help. Im so stressed out. Please take my word. LG LFX25978SW Refrigerator - Delivery day: The shelving was taped too tight
LG LFX25978SW Refrigerator - Delivery day: The shelving was taped too tight. One of the shelves was bent. I placed it out in the sun to warm it up until we could just about bend it back so it was almost straight. The “glide and slide” got stuck unless you pulled or pushed it perfectly straight in or out or the refrigerator. The ice gets stuck together in the bin so we have to open the freezer door, open the icemaker door and bang on the ice container to loosen the ice. I spoke to LG but they did not offer a solution. The freezer bin did not sit in the freezer correctly and it sounded like a train going down the track when the freezer was pulled open or closed. When the replacement bin was ordered, the bin was on backorder and took almost one month to arrive.Eight months later, the ice dispenser switch in the freezer door gets stuck and you have to bang on it to get it to stop dispensing ice. The dispenser drip tray fits very tight and is difficult to remove. I am sure it will break soon when we remove it for cleaning. The left door mullion scratches against the right door and at times it gets stuck open so it hits the right side door when closing the door. This mullion issue was confirmed by LG. The local repair shop order replacement parts but of course, they are on backorder. The right side door tends not to close with a push if you have milk or soda in the door. I guess it’s a bit too heavy for the door to glide closed. I read about this in another review. Another item to note is the six month water filters are very expensive. I can buy a five year water filter for the price of one six month filter. I will go back to using the filter plug and switch to the external filter. I paid almost $2,000 for this refrigerator and I expected better quality than what I have seen to date. It will be tough for me to purchase any other items from LG. So right now, I sit and wait for my backordered parts to arrive.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model # LFXS29766s and an LG double oven stove on 9/3/2016 after the salesperson raved about the quality and reliability of LG’s appliances. On the evening of 8/22/2019 the refrigerator failed (just shy of the 3 year mark). The freezer started to defrost and the ice makers stopped working. By the next morning the refrigerator had stopped cooling and food was found at room temperature. Everything was tossed. A claim was filed through Home Depot (where product was initially purchased with a 5 yr protection plan) and was then forwarded to LG. I was informed on Monday 8/26 by an LG manager that there is no local service department in my area and that service was scheduled through a subcontractor (A&E Service) with the soonest availability being 9/17/2019 (3 weeks out) and that they had no one else that would/could service the refrigerator. They said they could escalate to 9/9/2019 but that is the very best they could offer which is still 2 weeks. The LG manager I spoke to said they would reimburse me up to $200 if I bought a mini fridge to hold us over. I already have a mini fridge and it isn’t suitable unless I plan on feeding my family cereal for the next 2 weeks. We need a functioning refrigerator ASAP and if I go out and buy a new one I’ve basically just thrown away the $2,442.00 I spent on this one. Now we sit here, stuck with a faulty refrigerator, no food in the house and we’re expected to wait weeks for a resolution. This is not acceptable.

In September 2011, we purchased an LG gas range. Within a month, we requested a service call because two of the top burners did not operate correctly. Five months since purchase, we now have total failure of the oven (doesnt come on at all) and when it did previously work, the convention option for the oven worked erratic. I still have trouble with two top burners. The grill does not get hot enough to cook a pancake. The largest burner goes out of control with huge flames (scary)! Service person was out two weeks ago and we were informed that replacement parts were not presently available and we will be contacted later. I called again to launch a complaint. I was then told we would receive a call back later that day to report the status of our claim. No call was received.I am a caregiver to an Alzheimer patient who also is diabetic. I have special foods to prepare on this new, pretty stove that doesnt work well enough to prepare a decent meal. I am severely limited in my ability to provide nutritional care for my family member. And, yes, Im angry about the situation. My range cost $1,232 and for that expense I get a bag of trouble and face a company that will not yet (after five months) stand behind the unit to properly repair or replace it.

We purchased LG dishwasher model LDF8072ST from Best Buy, along with an LG refrigerator, range, microwave, washing machine and dryer. 6 new appliances. Spending thousands of dollars with LG. Our dishwasher has not worked for months. We have called LG numerous times, e mailed LG (never once have I received an email response), and chatted online with LG. 9 NINE calls to LG to schedule service. Many more calls to discuss. Service scheduled 7 times. Service only showed 5 times. Hours on phone waiting, taking work off waiting for techs, twice no shows. Service tech says there is nothing else he can do. Clearly a defective lemon. Submitted a defective return request. Time quoted for resolution has passed. Nothing from LG. Tried calling again. Given the usual run around. We have been all summer without a dishwasher (4 months). Will never buy LG products again. Have never had such poor customer service. We supplied ALL the documentation of every call, every service report. LG is non responsive and letting the original warranty run out. I want to now file a suit against them.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator Door-in-Door in December 2015. On September 14, 2014 I woke up to water all over my kitchen floor due to ice melted in freezer. First thing was to use troubleshooting guide. Did all resets suggested with no results. Called LG and went through all that again with them. Was told to reset and wait 24 hrs then check and call if not cooling. Needless to say this did not work. I lost a freezer and refrigerator full of food. All spoiled. Following Saturday a repairman came out and said that compressor was gone. They ordered a compressor on September 22, 2016. Today is Oct. 10, 2016 and I still have no resolution.I have made many calls both to LG and the place supposedly responsible for repair with no satisfaction. I have never encountered such poor customer service in my life. I just walked around my home and realized that I have 3 LG TVs, a Blu Ray, refrigerator, and microwave. Therefore it is obvious I have spent a lot of money on LG products. I now see that the company does not stand behind its products so I will not purchase any more of their merchandise. As I looked through the reviews I see that I am not alone. LG MUST NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CONSUMERS. So as customers we need to let them know that there is no excuse for such poor workmanship or service.

I called a few appliance repair places and only one still works on LG products. He stated that LG sucks. He recommended replacing the gaskets which I already did. I bought a LFX31925ST in 2012 from (ahem) AJ Madison. I bought it with an extended warranty on it, but little did I know... Apparently this fridge has a vacation sensor on it. Whenever I would leave the house for over a week (twice, it happened), the freezer would frost up, get hot, and when I came home from vacation, everything was melted and ruined. Lately, the fridge compartment has been at about 55F, even though the temp sensor is set to 36. The freezer wont freeze anything to below 0F either. I called a repairman and he determined the sealed system was bad, and I should call LG since it was supposedly still under the 10 year warranty, which is why I bought the fridge - the 10 year warranty. I called LG and after a lengthy process of verifying I bought the fridge and providing the receipt, they told me they would only cover parts, not labor and that could ONLY be done by approved repair people on their list. They emailed me only 3 repair companies, telling me that in MY area (Seattle) they dont have a lot of repair people. So sorry. I called all three of them and they each want to charge me (and Im serious here), $910 in labor, flat rate. To find and repair a freon leak. Something that could be done in an hour. I knew it was useless and I asked one repair guy, Why the flat rate? I know it doesnt cost that much. He said, Because the tools are expensive. I have to use a freon pump, and a charger, and buy freon, it adds up. I told LG about the experience and they replied, We are not in charge of what these approved vendors decide to charge the end user, it is out of our hands. I would never, EVER buy a LG again. I hope there ends up being a class action lawsuit, because my fridge isnt worth ** now, and Im going to have to get somebody to dispose of it.

WE bought LG washer and dryer after building our new home. First time I buy LG and last time. Not only did it smell which I could deal with it by leaving the door open. In December of 2014 it started shaking so bad when spinning. The repair man came and charged me $120.00. The shaking continued and when I called him back he said we had to replace the whole tub, springs___the guts of the machine. Really! For $780 plus dollars. He said after a few years the springs go from round to oval shape and it is a kit, thus the price to replace the whole thing. I said no thank you. I will use it until I cannot stand the shaking and will buy a different brand. This time a top loader. The last one I had last me 17 years and it was a different brand. So I am going back to that brand. After doing some research, I told the repair man I would post this review to tell other women to beware.

Well they promised by the 31st and A&E confirmed it but to no avail, A&E rescheduled it for the 9th of AUG. Well after hours on phone they said they will come here on the 7th which is today. The guy shows up and looks at it, takes the back off and says we have more issues not just the compressor but the evaporator and he will need to order parts. So now it’s been 3 weeks and he can’t be back here until the 26th.We have been living out of ice chest to keep our food cold. We are a family of 4 so wasting a lot of time and money for ice, I am a heart patient and need to eat a certain way, so I can’t rely on fast food. This has been a complete nightmare. I spent over 2000 dollars on a product I thought was quality. On another note I purchased a LG 60 inch TV and it died 14 months later just out of warranty--1000 dollars down the drain. So much for Lifes Good.

New 2018 LG set top load stacked set - $2500. Washer shakes at spin & dryer shakes because of it. There is something metal in the dryer slamming against metal when all of this occurs. LG won’t fix this — under warranty!!! This repair takes 2 hours - they want me to pay for this flaw. To top it off our clothes smell like a moldy wet dog - from a few months of owning I can smell my husbands “clean” t-shirt across the room. Oh yeah add vinegar, bleach, leave door open, drain the drain, buy expensive tablets to clean every week, run a clean cycle - and use tons of water doing that. Save water? Not now. LG you need to step up your repair game & fix these things.

I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG PRODUCT AGAIN! Bought the best energy saver machine LG had on the market. Bought the dryer to match. Has been horrible from day one! Leaking big problem. Sensors costing between $82-$100 EACH to replace. AND there are 5 to 6 per problem. LG could care less. How do these people remain in business??? Every repairman I called told me to throw it out in the trash before it drains you dry forgive the pun. LG SHAME ON YOU!

On March 28, 2015 our LG front load machine was run on the tub clean cycle. It overfilled with water and the door seal failed. Water poured out of the machine and it just kept on filling. Water damaged several rooms in our home. We handled the emergency by shutting off the water supply. Hooking up shop vacs to the drain hose to empty the water in the machine. Shop vacs were filled many times over to clean up the floors and empty the machine. Commercial Dehumidifiers, floor dryers and fans were brought in to try and save the wood and tile floors, cabinetry and personal things. Water bubbled out of the wood floors in our new home.We contacted our retailer, Grand Appliance in Madison Wisconsin and they said they will file a claim with LG, but that LG doesnt typically cover both replacing the defective machine and repairing the damages caused. I will report back when we have something in writing from LG, but we are not happy that they havent responded yet and even more unhappy that the retailer cannot assure us the manufacturer will make this right.

On Feb.3, 2012, the microwave stopped heating. A complaint was lodged with complaint no. **. A mechanic came on the 4th night and told me some parts were burnt and will be replaced on Monday, Feb. 5, 2012, but he did not turn up. Contacting him, he said parts were not available. I have 5-year warranty. This is the first time it happened. Model no. MH4048GWADRQEIL, serial 013EMKUOO6301. Date of purchase, 26/4/11. AMC end date, 24/4/17 - 5 years. Now what should I do? Extra 5 years warranty was purchased and here I am helpless. Should anybody believe that parts are not available on such a huge company running throughout the country? Request to repair immediately. Thanks.

I really liked the looks of this dishwasher until I got it home. My biggest mistake was not returning it immediately. The third rack was a pain in the neck because you could not fit glasses in the middle rack. I removed it to solve that problem. The collapsing racks have proven to be a nightmare. They will not lock in and they keep collapsing when you load dishes and cups into the washer. They have proven to be a great disappointment. Sometimes you have to fight the soap dispenser to get it to close. Next time I am going back with Maytag.

LG sends me the parts and says it’s up to me to get it fixed but the compressor is under a 10 year warranty for parts not labor. Problem is nobody wants to touch it. LG french door refrigerator - On 3/15/07, I purchased an LG french door refrigerator model #LFD22B60ST. This morning, 2/21/12, I awoke to the smell of burning plastic coming from the kitchen. When I opened the refrigerator door, I was met with smoke and a heavy burnt plastic odor. The light assembly and cover had melted and fallen on the top shelf. Both light sockets were burnt dark brown. The inside shell under the light housing is literally melted through. The control temperature read 81 degrees. I called LG and they were too eager to take care of it at no charge to me. That alone made me suspicious of their knowledge of this problem, but after reading eleven other identical complaints listed here, LG must have known about this product failure and not one of us was ever notified. This refrigerator is a fire hazard!

This is a terrible washer. At every level it fails - light load, heavy load. When the washer reaches the spin cycle, a UE (unbalanced load error) is nearly inevitable. The washer repeatedly attempts to adjust then it resets the time and refills the tub. Manually adjusting the clothes makes no difference. Its very frustrating. I will be purchasing a GE or Kenmore later this week.

I purchased an LG Washing machine 5 years ago. It had a few problems, leaked and the rubber seal on the door always came out after the wire that held it in place rusted (after 2 years). The final straw was after 5 years I had to call for service and after 3 days the LG serviceman finally arrived. Took my washer away after giving me a reasonable quote. The next day LG called to tell me that they did not have the parts for my 5-year-old Washer. So I was forced to buy a new machine. I would expect that a washing machine should last much longer than 5 years and if it needs service that the parts would be available. I will never buy anything else from LG again.

So, This was a great fridge for about 4 years. Then it stopped making cold. We have been without a refrigerator for over 1 month. Monday 5/20/19 will be the 7th time a tech has come out in an attempt to fix this piece of garbage. Im sure he will replace a part, leave, and it will continue to not work. Then next week a tech will come out again, pick a single part to replace and leave. Ill wait another week and he will come replace that part. Im pretty sure after compressor, valve, drying unit, main circuit board, and capacitor you could have replaced the fridge twice for less money. So, keep paying the techs to waste my time and rest assured I will never buy another LG appliance as long as I live.

When I called for service, cant remember which problem it was, there are more, was told they wouldnt come out because they were having a problem getting paid from LG. Great! Call back in a month or so, well see if they are paying their repair bills! Ok! Called LG for another extended warranty, they said no. Its up to them, and because Id already called, I guess they knew they would have to pay out on it, so they wouldnt extend it. Now I also bought the double 30 oven, and I love it!!! Ive posted on this site regarding my Maytag stackable washer and dryer. Now Im posting regarding my BRAND NEW LG stackable washer and dryer. After much researching online regarding stackable washers and dryers, I finally went with the LG brand. My Maytag washer went dysfunctional after 6 months. For the following 8 months, I had Maytag repair guys at my home, every two weeks, to fix the same exact problem. I had an error code that flashed on the machine. It was THE same code each and every time. Every part that was replaceable on the machine had been replaced, yet the problem continued. Maytag customer service is HORRIBLE.Now LG. The washer, when pumping water into the machine, caused a loud thumping in my walls. The vibration of the washer caused a rubbing and squelching noise from the dryer stacked on top. The company is well aware of the dryer problem and told me, There is nothing we can do about it. They are selling a machine they KNOW has a problem. The washer problem was an electrical problem, also not fixable. And when a certified LG technician comes to your home and tells you in all honesty that he has nothing good to say about his company, then THIS IS A MAJOR problem. The machines are 2 DAYS OLD AND DO NOT WORK. Customer service is HORRENDOUS. I literally spent an entire day talking with customer service. It was only when I was speaking with the 8TH representative that a repair appointment was finally made. One representative actually asked me this, Can you describe the noise? Can you better describe the noise? Can you give different words to describe the noise? Who knew there were so many ways to ask the same exact question repeatedly? I also had to repeat answers to other questions as well.Needless to say, the machines will be returned and I am on the hunt for a different brand. The problem is, when you go to research the variety of brands, all of them have complaints. And what I have noticed is that for the majority of brands, their machines become dysfunctional at the two year mark. This is pretty shabby, considering you are spending close to $1000 or more per machine. I just dont have thousands of dollars every year to spend on appliances because the companies out there, cant seem to make durable products anymore. My parents have Kenmore appliances. Theyve had the same appliances for YEARS and no problems. What happened to decent machines? And what the heck happened to great customer service?? If there was a 10 star option for the worst service and machines imaginable, I would choose that.

We purchased the French door/bottom freezer unit for $3000.00 (model LFXC24726S). Upon plugging it in, it seemed to be cooling down, although the ice maker was not working. We reported this on 2/19/15. At that time it seemed that the unit on the whole was cold enough to stock with food. The fancy door temperature reading reported that the freezer was at 0 degrees and the refrigerator was at 37 degrees. NOT THE SITUATION!! The next morning everything that we put in the freezer was totally soft. By that afternoon we were sure that the refrigerator section was nowhere close to 37 degrees. We spoke to LG service repeatedly and although we were told that we would have service on Monday morning, we waited all day and finally a service tech came at 5 pm. He diagnosed that the unit would need a new mother board and would be back the next morning. We again waited all day and at 7 pm he returned with another service tech. At 9:30 pm they said that they believed that all problems had been solved. The next morning the tech called to ask if everything was working properly. Nice of him to call, but in fact, the unit was totally warm; although the temperature reading on the door still reported that the freezer was 0 degrees and the refrigerator was 37 degrees. So much for the reliability of this fancy technology. It is now 5 working days later and we are told by the executive team at LG that this refrigerator will not be replaced until everything has been tried to repair it. The compressor that the tech is now saying would be the next thing to try is on back order and it will be at least another week until that is available. Until LG has tried to replace every part and rebuild this unit they will keep us waiting. Thanks a lot. We want everyone to consider this situation before you decide to buy an LG product.

On 10/2008, I purchased an LG LRE30453ST/01 ceramic glass top electric range from Home Depot. On 7/2009, my husband instructed my oldest son to turn on the stove in preparation of us being 5 minutes away. He placed a pot on the stove on the largest eye and set the stove for 3.5 with a little grease inside the pan. My son said that as soon as he did what was instructed and sat down on the couch when he noticed immediate smoke coming from the pot. He looked inside the pan and noticed a ring of fire inside the pan that began to escalate fairly quickly and evacuated himself and my youngest daughter out of the home for their protection. Within five minutes of giving him these instructions we received a call back from him stating that the kitchen was on fire. Fire department came but the fire self-extinguished itself before they were able to take action. The fire caused 8k worth of damage with us paying a 1K deductible. It damaged the cabinets above the stove, the microwave above the stone, and the stove itself which sustained the most damage. The pot was actually not destroyed, but the stove was. The insurance company had no clue how this escalated so quickly so therefore the pot had masked the true natural cause of the fire which was the stove itself. The stove was replaced with the exact same model stove in 2009 and in 4/2014, while I was cooking on the largest eye once again with a cast iron skillet, the bottom of the skillet began to smoke from underneath set with a temperature of 3.5. I noticed the extreme heat coming from the largest eye and attempted to turn it off with no response from the stove to reduce the heat even though the stove read H5 which means a warm status. The heat was so extreme that the other eyes started to read as H5 and they werent even on. The extreme heat from the largest eye also prompted the microwave vent to come on by itself. My kids and myself started to get nervous and tried to power down the stove by turning off the circuit breaker with no response so we had to unplug the stove from the wall. We waited about 5 minutes and attempted to replug the stove and the largest eye came on immediately, flashing red several times, sending out extreme heat so we decided to keep it unplugged. I called LG the next day to find out that a recall was issued in 2012 for my model number. I was completely taken back. The recall stated The burners on the electric ranges can fail to turn off after being switched off or the temperature setting can increase unexpectedly during use, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers. What else do you need? I asked why I was not notified and they said it was on TV and because I did not register the product, I didnt get notified by mail. Im a working professional mom of three, really! I cant believe they said that. They offered to repair the stove I currently have in my home and offered apologies for the fire in 2009. Is there no recourse or responsibility of the manufacturer for damages that occurred to homeowners before the recall. How can this be right. LG is claiming statute of limitations is 3 years but what about the fact that a recall was not issued until 2012. How was my insurance supposed to know that their product was defective when there was no recall in place. How is the consumer supposed to be protected in a case like this. Im not asking for the 8k that my insurance paid out but at least take responsibility for the deductible I had to pay for your fire hazardous product I placed in my home that nearly killed my kids. How can the statute of limitations be set for 3 years when the defect is not found until the recall is issued? PS: I have documentation of everything.

Three weeks ago my son contacted LG customer service. Our refrigerator has been running with a loud fan sound. Recommendations... to set temperature at original setting settings and dont open the doors. Three weeks from then... same situation. Today I called LG customer service talked with Chris. He asked for the fridge/freezer temperatures. Fridge panel at 34, freezer at -6. Yet, I explained to Chris that I bought refrigerator/freezer thermometers... the fridge reads 60 degrees, the freezer is reading at 30 degrees. Chris asked my son if the settings on the refrigerator was personal or preference. My son said I guess preference. Conclusion - Chris now had us reset the temps to fridge, 37 and the freezer at 0. He said since we preference the other temps, tried to explain that we did not set this temps, he said, Well your son said it was a preference. No one at LG was helpful. Very belittling, Dok. the first person spoke with, continued asking Is the fan sound humming, snapping, tapping? When I tried to explain that no one set these temps, Chris used the bias term personal or preference. Not one person was willing to work together to solve the problem. They were looking for blame. Point remains, whatever the panel temps says the refrigerator is still at 60 degrees, and freezer is at 30+.

I went for brand name and would have chose otherwise could I do it again. I have always trusted LG products but the fridge was somewhat of a disappointment compared to other products. The shelving was too close together and didnt hold up well, was often difficult to change the shelves because the metal would catch on the sides and stick. The crisper drawers would often stick and the plastic was cheaply made. But I like the size and location of the freezer, space inside the lower area. A shelf on the door that provided an area to put the milk. There was an area to put eggs without the carton and the crisper drawers were clear.

This product I paid $854.99 plus taxes and is upsetting to know this washer is done forever. I purchased on May 3, 2012 at Best Buy. I contact Best Buy they cant do anything about it because I dont have the protection plan. Really for a new washer, my grandmas washer is 15 years old and works fine. My husband contact LG they cant do anything about it because the warranty expired within one year of the date of purchase. So we contact Sears for $200. They came over to do the diagnostic so basically the top computer is outdated, running on the wrong setting, needs to be updated and we need to buy the top setting which is $500.00 plus labor work!!! So if we do this means we basically expending $800.00 if you do the math. DONT BUY LG.
