The vibrations started almost at day one. So I leveled it again with a 4 level and still the walls vibrated (its a load bearing wall 2x12 floor joists 1-1/4 thick flooring). We did not know of the problem until my son came and mentioned that it shouldnt vibrate like this (he has an older model LG), so the calls to LG started and trying to get an in warranty repairman is like pulling your own teeth. So after losing 2 days pay and a third on the way, still there is no fix or reason why its vibrating. LG has said that after 3 attempts, they would either replace/or refund our cost. Well, its still ongoing. I will keep you informed.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator Model #LFX25991ST in Feb of 2013 and have yet to use ice from it. The ice maker freezes up and will not dispense. It also leaks water around the edge of the ice maker and now there are water marks on the front of the fridge and freezer door. They keep giving me the run around. They have sent people out 3 or 4 different times to fix it and it still does it. Am very frustrated. Worst $3000 purchase I have ever made.

We purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot on 10/20/2014 and we have had problems since purchase. The dishwasher just doesnt clean the dishes. It is a water saver dishwasher but it doesnt have enough water pressure to clean the dishes. After a huge runaround with Customer Service we did receive a full refund but what a hassle. We also have a LG refrigerator which we had to replace the ice maker within a year of purchase. While these products look good on the outside their engineering needs help.

I have a front load LG washing machine that I have only had for 18 months. It started making a loud noise during the spin cycle a few months ago. We called service and they told us to stop using the machine immediately and they would send a service technician. The tech said we need a new tub assembly and it is NOT covered under warranty. It will cost $1100 to get fixed!!! Are you kidding ME??? I paid less than that for the washer 18 months ago! This is absolute BS. How can they NOT back their products after only 18 months. I am putting this POS out on the street and I will NEVER buy another LG product. LG products are garbage!

WT4870C - True Balance...I dont think so. I purchased the machine in August, 2013. From the beginning I would get uE/UE messages. I would rearrange the clothes, press the Start button and hope for the best. Finally called LG and the response was that they would email me directions on how to balance the machine. Thats it?! Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty plan. The Lowes Service Advantage rep was very nice and set up an appointment with the local appliance repair tech. He arrived today and asked (1) had I had any service before and (2) did I know about a recall? No to both questions. He explained that he would order parts and set up an appointment for next week. So far today Ive had uE messages on all my loads of laundry. On the one hand Im glad my complaint is not unique; on the other hand am I going to have to replace the machine I was so excited about getting?

Wish I never bought this dishwasher. I had it fixed when it was less than a year old, replaced a plastic wheel that used to be made of metal. It made a loud screeching noise. Makes noises off and on that are LOUD. You never know when this will happen. Soap door doesnt always open. Top rack started rusting out in the second year. Was told too bad so sad, not covered, ever. When I called for service, cant remember which problem it was, there are more, was told they wouldnt come out because they were having a problem getting paid from LG. Great! Call back in a month or so, well see if they are paying their repair bills! Ok! Called LG for another extended warranty, they said no. Its up to them, and because Id already called, I guess they knew they would have to pay out on it, so they wouldnt extend it. Now I also bought the double 30 oven, and I love it!!! NO problems, its been just over two years now.

First my front loading dryer drum cracked. Clothes keep getting stuck in it and they rip. Next, the front loading washing machine is mildew smelling and the rubber seal has got holes in it and water runs into the motor compartment and the door leaks. The tray you put the soap into has broken and soap runs down the outside of the washer. Our clothes get caught in the seal and get ripped. The clothes dont come out clean and sometimes smell. This set is a piece of junk! I will never buy another set of LG products from Home Depot again!

I purchased an LG refrigerator from Home Depot. Most expensive refrigerator they had on the floor was $2800. I have had nothing but trouble with it. It has leaked 4-5 times ruining my floor and now it is not cooling or freezing. No one here in Cheyenne will even work on LGs. The repair business report has difficulty obtaining parts as they have had customers waiting for over a month to get parts so they will not service them. I am left with either cutting my losses or having someone come from over 60 miles away try to come and service. Be aware. Do not purchase LG because of their poor availability of service and parts and poor quality.

After using my hand me down washer that was 23 years old, we decided to purchase a brand new LG front loader. We purchased it at a Best Buy with the matching dryer in October 2011. Now February 2012, I had to have a service technician come out to repair the washer. When the washer tried to turn clockwise, it made a grinding sound not be able to spin. It did spin counterclockwise. Of course, the warranty ended three and a half months prior to this problem. The technician told me he reconnected the bolt on the inside and it should be good for a few days. He told me that he assumed that I washed large loads. Why wouldnt I wash large loads? That is why I bought a large capacity washer. Stupid assumption! Anyway, he told me it would cost $350 to replace and repair the part. As for it lasting a few more days, I put in a load of three pairs of socks and one t-shirt. It still grinds! So much for a few days. Also, Mr. technician, is three pairs of socks and one t-shirt a large load to you?

Purchased LG dishwasher 2/20/14. Had to redo plumbing to accommodate dishwasher. Did not get it installed for a month, therefore unable to return to Home Depot when it wouldnt clean my dishes. Called LG. Was told I was using wrong detergent and needed to add a booster. That made no difference in the cleaning. After 4 service calls, replacing the sump motor and the main board, it still does not clean the dishes. LG corporate customer service says that it works and that the problem is that I have hard water (never mind that my 13-yr-old Maytag cleaned my dishes). Stated there was nothing else they could do and maybe I should consider getting a water softener. Will never buy another LG product.

We have now replaced both the main board and control board on our LG front load washer all within 8 months. The cost now equals what we paid for the washer. We are not happy! The service repairman informed me that we needed to put a surge protector on the machine. He used to work for the manufacturer! Where in the manual is that mentioned? For only $5.00, we could have saved well over $1,000 for replacement and service. Why is this not told to the consumer when the machine was purchased? Has anyone else experienced this? Were you told to plug in a surge protector?

$2400 Like throwing money down the drain. Bought this refrigerator 2014. Five years later it quit cooling. I have owned other refrigerators that last 15 years and more. Technician came and said it is the compressor but the labor will be about $900 which I am liable for. (Of course also had a $95 service call cost.) Been without a refrigerator for a week now. Filed a claim and will have to wait another few business days to see if LG will cover all the cost. Technician said even if it gets fixed it will probably go out again in a few years. We did all our research prior to purchasing this refrigerator.... Guess those reviews meant nothing. Not to mention the loss of all that food and no sense of urgency from the company.

Bought LG fridge December 20, 2013... ice maker broke 2015. Now the fridge went Friday, December 13, 2019. Was told by lg customer service to take everything out fridge, defrost for 8 hours, wait 24 to 48 hours so fridge can get cold. Never happened. Did it again second day. Same thing. Not working, error code keeps coming on. They send tech. Charge us $125. Have to get fridge serviced. Another $324... Asked if they can expedite the shipping of motor fan whatever it’s called. Tech Ariel looked at my husband and I like we had two heads. He never tried to contact LG about expediting the part. We told tech we have to think about it. Maybe we should just buy another fridge. Tech was ok and left... like he didn’t care that we living out of two coolers. He Just said ok and left.We called LG about expediting the part again. They were like, We will see. We’ve been out of a fridge since Friday December 13, 2019, it’s Thursday December 19, 2019, LG calls us to tell us we might not get our shipment in till Saturday and maybe get our fridge fix Saturday. All our food has spoiled. No milk. The Christmas ham we bought spoiled as well as all the other good we had in fridge. About $300 in food we bought for Christmas Eve dinner. Let’s put it this way. Purchased LG stainless steel fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher 4 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with all but the microwave within months of owning them. LG was very difficult to deal with for warranty and repairs as only 1 company in our province will fix LG! And that company was not very professional or accountable with the repairs. We went months without the use of our appliances as a result and LG never compensated us for these major disruptions in our lives! And not to mention all the time missed off work to meet the repair people and there were many appointments. I have since looked on the internet about other peoples experiences with LG and there are so many similar stories of terrible products and terrible service. Never will I buy another LG product again. I always bought Kenmore before and had no problems.

We were told by the repairman that the repair cost would be greater than the price of a new refrigerator. We went back to the selling retailer and asked what they could do for us. I purchased the above appliance from Sears about 4-5 years ago (need to find the receipt to be accurate) and it has been a nightmare. I have used many boxes of the cleaning product made by Tide to deodorize and contacted a serviceman (at my additional expense) who instructed me to use bleach (only to discover the bleach dispenser is not dependable), remove the entire dispensing tray after each day of laundry, dry the door seal and inside of machine, and leave the door ajar when not in use...... I continue to have a problem with a sickening smell emanating from my clean laundry. I am quite convinced that this washing machine does not clean my laundry...... Whites are grey to beige! Very often, I find wads of soap in towels which I believe is due to an inadequate amount of water. An answer to this aggravating and unhealthy problem would be wonderful. Thank you.

I bought my LG French Door Refrigerator in December of 2014. It cost over $3000 and I was told by the salesman at Home Depot how GREAT the linear Compressor is. I noticed on Sunday that the ice was melted and the temperature was rising. I found my LG information and called Customer service. I was told the earliest they could come out was 4 days later. They also told me that he could not uninstall the fridge. It had to be moved out of its slot so he could access it, and it had to be unplugged. I was also told that the compressor was under warranty, but the replacement would be 375-425 PLUS state tax. Well, after 4 days, I had to throw away all the food that was inside. Probably another $200/300. The guy came out and told me that he would order the parts, but my cell service was bad so he couldnt tell me if they even had the compressor in stock. He told me they would come out the next day, unless the part isnt available. Which, reading the forum, looks like its 5 weeks out. Terrible product. The Sad thing is, that Im a Realtor. I have caused at least 5 or 6 clients and friends to buy an LG fridge because, the compressor has a 10 year warranty... as if that does any good. Im a single Mom, and I feel like I have to earn my money twice. Once to kill it and bring it home, and again to make sure it doesnt fly out the window. Im angry, Frustrated, and defeated.

The french door closure has broke and it a nightmare. It has to be closed in a certain order or it remains open. The only problem is, there is no indication it is open, so I have had spoiled food on at least 4 occasions. Now I find out the Compressor has gone out. In 5 years??? Eight years ago, I purchased an LG Tromm washer and dryer. I have been very satisfied with my purchase until 9 days ago when the thermal coupler went bad in the dryer, and I have now been waiting for 6 days to have that part replaced. I cannot fault the repair service I am using in my area. They are as frustrated as I am. They, too, are waiting on the part. So here is what I learned...I have had the dryer for 8 years and it performed well and I am pleased with the product; however, what I am not pleased with is that when a repair is needed, there are not any US parts manufacturers for LG. So if the part is not available in the US warehouse, you must wait for them to get the part in, which is the situation I am in at this time. Buyer, beware. The LG appliances are top end and perform well, however, if they need service, you might be better off to buy an American made product by Samsung (i.e. Whirlpool). At least, when those popped together plastic parts break, they are manufactured in the US and you wont have to wait for 7 days! I also own an LG refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and as I said, a washer...Because of my experience with my dryer, I have added to my nightly prayers that they dont need repair because this is past ridiculous. If I would have known that the appliances couldnt be repaired in a timely manner, I would have probably purchased a less well made and certainly cheaper appliance!

This has the same style filter as all of my previous dishwashers, but this ones filter assembly does not come apart for cleaning. When the glasses have sandy bits left on them I remove the lower spray arm and the water guide tube on the back and take out the grids, screens, and mesh screens in the bottom. After brushing and rinsing everything I put it back together and it is good to go for another 6-8 months. The problem with this unit is that the lower screens, grids, and mesh is one-piece. It does not come apart. There is trapped grunge inside and I can shake some of it out, but most of it remains trapped. I called the company. She just kept repeating the manual- It is self-cleaning, you do not need to clean it, removing it voids the warranty. The manager said to call the repair technician. I ordered her to send me to their service/repair department so they can advise me how to clean this unit. She said they wont speak to me unless I am an authorized technician with an official technician number. She kept trying to set me up with an appointment with a repairman- while telling me that the warranty wont cover this. I will have to rinse and shake the filter unit and hope I can get out; if not, I can order a new one from Sears for $60.

We purchased all brand new top of the line LG products 3 years ago. A few months ago the ice machine stopped working and I contacted LG support and they went thru all the steps and unable to fix but I lived with it as it was only an inconvenience. Based on the research I have done, LG was quite aware that within months of the ice maker going the fridge compressor would fail. They never mentioned this once. After losing hundreds of dollars of food, I reached out to LG which advised to have a repairman come. For $125 he came and as soon as he saw the make and model he advised LG has a known issue which they refuse to correct and have a class action lawsuit against them. He offered to repair but the part is @ $800 and to top it off they would put the same faulty part back in which will also inevitably fail. I found out after I did purchase a 10 year part warranty and LG set up a repair appointment with their contractor for a week later. The day before the appointment I received a reminder and a request to call the company, A & E, if parts were not already delivered. I was told the parts were not being delivered until the day after the repair appointment? Both LG and their contractor A&E customer service were unhelpful and kept blaming each other for the issue. I was promised numerous phone calls with no timely response or resolution. I took off of work to wait for a repairman who cant repair anything and are being told the next available appointment is in another 2 weeks? I have 3 children at home and no way to keep any food for them. I did not complain when the icemaker failed nor request compensation for the lost food because the appointment for repairs was scheduled. Now because of the lack of support and the incompetency of LG, I will be pursuing all the expenses including the several meals which needed to be purchased from restaurants. All LG needed to do was accept the fact they manufactured a poor product and resolve the issue and I would still be a supporter for the company. The deceit and unwillingness to fix their mistake is unacceptable. I am still waiting without a refrigerator and hoping the other LG products in my home, double oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer do not break.

This fancy 3 door fridge refrigerators bought at Lowes in New Orleans on June 6, 2013 has been a nightmare since I bought it. A week in my home and the ice maker stopped making ice. Repairman replaced the ice maker. Ice tends to stick together. Recent problem is the LOUD clicking noise when the ice maker is turned on off. Customer Service somewhere overseas said this noise is normal because of wear and tear. I explained to the man that using the thing 8 times in one year is NOT wear and tear. He said it is. I put the phone next to the ice maker for him to hear the clicking noise. My son who bought the same fridge on the same date last year does not have this problem. Very kindly he said they are going to send the repair man but I have to pay for it. Unnecessary to tell you the long and stressful conversation with this man. Apparently I am wrong and LG is correct. I said to this man, after he said our conversation was being taped, that it was great news he was taping our conversation because I would on line and make sure the entire world LG knows about the lousy customer service, confirmed again by the guy at Home Depot when I went there on Monday to buy a new dishwasher. Obviously there are two brands of DW I dont buy: Bosch and LG.This man overseas said he would send the repair man and I insisted, make sure I dont have to pay for it because I am still under warranty. If this man tells me I have before the work begins, I would let him go and contact you again. LG can spend millions on Dollars in TV commercials, they fail to realize and accept that the best advertisement is by -word of mouth-. I am extremely unhappy with this fridge. The left side is cooler than the right side. No veggies can go on the left side as it freezes them. My suggestion: move over to another manufacturer.

Bought a LG Top Freezer. Very disappointed in it. Every time you open and close frig door, the freezer door seal is broken and air gets in. This causes my meats to get ice formed on them. Had service come out and told us that this is normal. I never had a top freezer before that opens when I close the frig door. They dont tell you this when buying it. Also found the same info about freezer door opening in their manual. So if they know about it, why not fix the problem. Also told new frig will probably only last 5-6 years. Thanks LG. Never again will I buy or recommend LG to family or friends.

The third time they said it was because the washers accumulate black slime that is accumulating throughout the internal parts of the washer and will randomly shoot out the black ink appearing lines. Do not ever purchase an LG. They make a good TV, but not washers or kitchen appliances. They also do not have service centers anywhere in our area (maybe our country?).

We were looking around and doing some research a few years ago when we bought our first LG fridge. And in that process, we found that we liked the design and the products that they offered. But our most recent refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare. It keeps failing constantly. And now, LG’s saying they won’t replace it unless I have the original receipt. So now, we’re stuck with a broken refrigerator till I can potentially find a way to get a receipt. I’m extremely likely to go to a different competitor after this experience. We really enjoyed the product, and they were aesthetically pleasing, but a refrigerator’s supposed to refrigerate things.

I bought my LG Refrigerator LFX28968ST March 2015 and after 3 years my compressor breaks. A repairman came to my house and charged me $450 in labor to install the new part. LG covered the part but I had to pay the labor. I wasn’t very happy about the situation but I had no other options but to pay. The repair man installed the new compressor and the refrigerator seemed to be cooling. The next day the refrigerator stopped cooling again. I called the repair man and he came back out to my house worked on the refrigerator for about 1 hour 1/2 and told me everything was working properly. The next day refrigerator stopped cooling again. I called the repairman. He came back out to my house for the third time and spent another hour 1 1/2 working on the refrigerator supposedly fixed it. The next day still not cooling. Called the repairman and he told me he was going to refund me all my money and I needed to buy new refrigerator because it is a lemon. I spent $2800 on this refrigerator and it cannot be fixed. I will never buy any LG products again.

When I decided to purchase this washer, I chose LG expecting to be dealing with one of the top corporations in electronics. What a disappointment! On trying to have it repaired - error message indicating the machine is not draining - I contacted you asking for a local authorized dealer. I was given the name of RISING SERVING SOLUTIONS whom I contacted and got an appointment for a WEEK LATER. So far, after 3 visits of their technician who changed the drain motor twice, the brain of the machine and having paid $390 for the repair, I continue to have the same exact problem. On my last conversation with the technician he alleged that the problem is with the drain hose/pipe.Although Im not knowledgeable on the subject this explanation makes no sense, since the machine drains water properly on the wash and rinse cycles, presenting the problem only on the spin going on to dry cycle. Calling twice and speaking to your supervisors at customer service led nowhere. What to do next?

My wife and I bought an LG refrigerator from Future Shop/Best Buy in 2012. Within 15 months the frame which holds the drawers in the bottom of the fridge cracked and broke. My wife and I are in our 50s and the only ones who use the fridge. It also freezes our vegetables and the temperature settings dont work well at all. Either the fridge is too warm or too cold. Today was the last straw when I noticed that the freezer trays are showing signs of rust. The design (bottom freezer drawer) is also a very inefficient and dumb design. We will never buy another LG product and certainly would not recommend them either. All they do is look fancy.

In January of 2016 I took delivery of a set of LG Black Stainless Kitchen appliances from Lowes. I purchased stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. They were very expensive and what I consider to be high end in terms of models. Within a short time, I began to notice the refrigerator scratched at the drop of a hat. This was not my experience with prior stainless appliances. I learned the black stainless just has a black film on it and it is not the true color of the stainless.Just 2 years later, I am seeing the black coating or film peel away from the handles on my dishwasher. Just having a ring on and opening the door to the fridge is leaving scratches. Plus spots of where the film is wearing off are on the front of the fridge and at the edges of the door. The film near the handles on the dishwasher is peeling away. I called LG and they could care less. Since it is more than one year old, too bad for the consumer. There is no product on the market to try and at least cover the appearance of this faulty coating. So, just 2 years and over $7000 later I am stuck with products that are obviously defective in terms of the finish. I will NEVER do business with LG again since they gave me a defective product and will not stand behind what they sell the consumer. I have seen other negative reviews about this same issue. There should be a class action against this company for this product.

Bought an LG refrigerator for 4 years ago. 2 months ago our refrigerator and freezer stopped working. We lost everything in the fridge and freezer. As we no longer had a warranty on it we used our American Home Shield warranty. They sent a technician out to diagnose that it was the compressor. The repairman stated there was 10 year warranty on the compressors because of problems that LG has had. Because of that he couldnt fix our refrigerator LG did not contract with them for warranty work after waiting a week for him to get there. American Home Shield then sent out Sears not to fix the problem but to diagnose it again. That was the end of week two. We then had to wait another week for the compressor to come in and for Sears to come and fix it.3 weeks without a refrigerator or freezer. Living out of A cooler. The 1st technician told us, Dont be surprised if something else goes out because your compressor has made your refrigerator work too hard as it was dying. Sears tech however denied this statement and said no. Once we fix the compressor no problem. Well its now 2 months later my fridge and freezer do not work again. Lost everything again. Took a week for American Home Shield to have Sears come out again for a recall on their original work and he is determined it is the motherboard that is bad and he cant tell if the compressor is bad because the motherboard is not working so well have to wait until the motherboard comes and he fixes it and then we might have to wait again for a new compressor. Once we fix it no problem. BS.Not happy with this LG product. I got it because of all the problems I had with my Frigidaire. Is there not a refrigerator company out there that is selling quality products. So now that Ive lost two freezer full of food two refrigerators fulls of food and living out of a ice chest for now for weeks and more to go Im not a happy camper with LG. Not to mention we go thru bags of ice at $4 a bag and have to put new bag in every other day. So at 4 weeks so far with both repairs LG has cost me $56.00 in ice and we dont even have it fixed yet.

My LG washer turned itself on when I was not at home. It filled up with water and because it was not in a cycle the door wasnt locked so the pressure from the water pushed the door open and the water continued to pour out. I came home to my house being flooded, water went through my vents and into my crawlspace. When the repairman came he witnessed the washer doing it all over again! I called LG, they told me to get 2 estimates, send them pictures, fill out documents and send them my old parts and I did. I thought they were going to help. I am now going into my 6th week of them leading me on to believe they are going to help me. They keep saying they have to do testing then they said they had to send the main control panel to Korea for further testing. I have over 30,000 in damages, my daughter is allergic to mold and not one person at LG gives a hoot! I am setting my LG washer & dryer at the end of my driveway (its 3 years old) I will never ever purchase anything with those initials on it again! Their customer service is as bad as their product! Oh it also leaks water from underneath during wash cycle too. The lady asked me at one point what cycle was your washer in when it leaked. I said AGAIN my washer was not in a CYCLE and it did not LEAK. It turned itself on, filled with water and sent out about 70 gallons of water. If you want to know what cycle my washer was in.... ask the washer! I had it on OFF!

We purchased an LG fridge in November. Soon we noticed water puddling on top of the freezer door (bottom freezer model). Then we noticed that the water was freezing on the outside of the ice maker bucket, and that the ice cubes were melting then freezing together. When we used a blowdryer to melt some of the ice so we could remove the ice bucket, the melted water ran out, not from the dispenser as we would expect, but from all the seams in the door. On February 9th, I sent in a repair request. The provider I was given (which took a couple of days to receive) was unprofessional and after giving my address, told me they had no availability in my area and to find someone else and hung up. On February 14th, I received two more service providers contact info. One of them never answered my repeated calls. The other one informed me that they only serviced a neighboring county. Around February 21, I received another service providers contact info, and a service appointment was set up for March 1, between 8 am and noon. I took the morning off work. When the technician had not arrived by 12:30, I called the service provider who said they would contact the technician and get back to me. I was called back in a few minutes and was told the technician was stuck in traffic and would be at my home by 1 pm. At 1:15, he had still not arrived and I called the service again. She said she would call him again and get back to me. This time when she called back, she said he did not answer his phone and she that she left him a voicemail. When he finally showed up, around 2:30, he said that he had been running a little behind. After looking at the ice maker, he told me this was a common problem with this model of fridge and we would need a whole new door, which might or might not fix the problem, and someone would be in touch with me within 24 hours to set up an installation date and time. Nine days later, I got the call and an appointment was scheduled for March 13th, again between 8 am and noon. Again, I took the morning off work. Again, the technician did not arrive till after 2 pm. He did install a new door, said we were all set and left. And now the ice maker does not work at all. So far, Ive missed two days work, dealt with 4 incompetent and unprofessional service providers authorized by LG. Ive read many reviews praising LG products, but frankly all the reviews for their customer service are very negative (wishing we had checked those out and not just the product reviews when we purchased the appliances in November).

I purchased my LG front load steam washer, model WM2501HWA, in April of 2010. It worked fine until May 2014 when it just stopped mid-spin cycle. It totally lost all power. I checked the obvious, tripped breaker switch, plugs, and all was fine. So I called a repair company that was recommended to me by a friend. They diagnosed the problem as a bad power board. It was also recommended that I replace the noise filter at the same time. Parts and labor would be over $300 not including diagnostic fee. After waiting a month for the parts, they installed them and it worked. After about 6 loads it died again! Ive been waiting for the new parts and its been over a month! I asked the repair company if they could just refund my money so I could just get a new one and they said they wanted to install the new parts first. They have yet to receive my parts and I am spending $25 a week at the laundromat. The first mistake I made was buying an LG washer and dryer. My second mistake was calling a bad repair company. I am currently out $300 and have no working washer. I am so mad!! Dont buy LG!!!

I even suspect that it creates small holes to the clothes.

After reading review after review on this site detailing the same issues I have had with my $3000 LG French door refrigerator, I will not waste time with detailing the issues I have had with this trash LG product. Same no-customer-service response from LG; the service company they gave us hasn’t worked for them for 2 years! We finally had to go directly to Home Depot to get a service repair person to come and look at our refrigerator. It has been two weeks without my refrigerator and hopefully it will get fixed today. But according to the other reviews that I read that may not be the last of my problems with this refrigerator. I am not hopeful. This is the second LG refrigerator that has had this problem; Home Depot, who has pretty decent Customer Service, replaced this same exact refrigerator one year ago. That refrigerator was only a year old when this exact same problems of the compressor going out occurred. The repairmen who are here today said they have been extremely busy lately repairing LG refrigerators with this problem! I am SO frustrated! I feel like someone has stolen thousands of dollars from me! DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS!!!

We purchased an LG Gas Range for our new house in 2017. It was fine for a while with the exception that the last knob on the highest burner would go on with the slight touch or just rubbing by it slowly. This we had to be very careful of. The oven never seemed to be able to be adjusted to the proper temperature and I always had to add time to cooking. Then it decided to throw me F9s. We did everything we could to fix this problem but it would run right for one time and then be back to a F9 after heating to 110. It had a leaking Tromm front loader. This ruined my 180 sq. ft. of ash hardwood flooring costing approximately $2000.00. After the floor was replaced and a pan placed under the machine, I have noticed that it fills up about once a week. This leak is coming from the dispenser tray! I noticed water and soap residue on the inside of the front panel that had also caused the door hinge to start rusting. After closer inspection of the dispenser during operation, I can see water hitting the angled section of the tray and running over the side. LG said a repair tech would have to fix this, but without a newly designed part, it will just do the same thing again. This is not caused by too much soap as some might suggest because it does this with or without adding soap! The only solution I see is to buy another brand after spending over $1000.00 a year for a poorly designed product.

This is the worst washing machine ever invented! The 23-year-old Kenmore I replaced was still running and better than this. If the drum hadnt developed rust spots, I would have kept it. If you want a science project that grows mold, this is your machine. I wiped out the gasket with Clorox wipes, leave the door open when not in use and it still grows mold. We purchased an LG washer and dryer set. The dryer works well, but the washer is a disaster. Our towels have an unpleasant musty smell just 1 day after they are washed. The rubber sleeve between the front panel and the drum is literally designed to trap moisture and grow mold. What a horrible design! We miss our old top loader Amana. That washer worked wonders on spots and dirtier clothes like playground pants with grass on the knees. Our front loader LG, on the other hand, is a piece of cr@p. We are waiting for this thing to develop any problem so we can replace it with a Bosch. Dryers works well. Washer doesnt get the clothes clean. It uses less water than our old washer but what good are water savings when the clothes dont get clean? We will check Amazon customer reviews to see which models to AVOID like the plague. Before buying this LG washer we were focused on efficiency but with LG efficiency came at the cost of less than clean clothes and smelly towels. Reliability is important but effectiveness is a very close second. A reliable, highly efficient washer is junk if it doesnt get the job done. To reiterate, stay away from LG clothes washers. The design of the drum, pump, and the drum seal is defective. It traps moisture and promotes mold growth. Also, the pump/filter assembly on these washers holds about 12 OZ of water at all times. We forgot to drain the filter assembly before going on a 3-week vacation. When we came back, the whole downstairs of the house smelled like sewer. The stench was coming from our wonderful LG washing machine. I had to flush it with 2 gallons of bleach! Stay away from LG washers! They are toxic!

Our LG fridge LFX28968SW was already in our house when we moved in Apr 2017
Our LG fridge LFX28968SW was already in our house when we moved in Apr 2017. However, the label is stamped with manufactured 2013 so it cant be more than 4 years old. This model lists for $2,400 ++. It is a beautiful appliance, but beauty is only skin deep here. The fridge stopped cooling and freezing in Aug 2017; thats way too soon for a durable goods product. ALL of my previous fridges (Amanda, Frigidaire, Kitchen Aid) lasted over 10 years without issue when I left them for the next homeowner. The one homeowner says Frigidaire is still running without issue and its over 17 years. Anyway, I called LG customer service and we ran the SMART Diagnosis process but the rep said it didnt reveal any errors; I guess it isnt so smart after all. We did get the unit to display a error code 22, which according to the LG website, indicates a compressor relay failure. Its a small, easily accessible, inexpensive part ($12 for similar parts on Amazon) but LG customer service refused to provide me with a parts list and service manual and said that only LG certified techs can repair it. Since the remaining LG warranty only covers parts, Im guessing at least $200-$350 labor costs based on posts for similar repairs. So, after 3 days of waiting on the LG recommended techs to make an appointment, I contacted a repairman recommended by 2-10 Home Warranty. They came next day and replaced the relay but it still isnt working; so much for the reliability of the error codes. He said a fuse on the control board blew and since the fuse is soldered in, the whole board needs replaced. (PS I have the fridge on a surge protector). I asked him candidly if this was an ongoing problem, his response was he does several per month but unfortunately cant keep the boards in stock so its at least another week to get the replacement part. So after two weeks, Im still living out of coolers and my daughters dorm room fridge.Luckily we had the 2-10 Home Warranty that came with the purchase of our home. Otherwise, the cost would be significantly higher. So Im looking at a $100 deductible, plus cost of food spoilage, plus cost of ice for coolers. In addition to the cost, its a huge inconvenience to constantly manage the issue (phone calls, service appointments, waiting on parts, swapping ice, etc) all this to fix a supposed top of the line fridge. Its not right to have a durable goods product fail after 4 years, and based on my experience with customer service, and based on parts availability, and based on responsiveness of the LG techs, and based the blogs, I wont buy any LG product no matter what it is. The internet mentions a class action suit brewing, I will surely sign on when I get the right contact.

This machine rarely gets my clothes clean. It does not seem to have enough water to really clean. The worst part is the mold and mildew on the rubber seal and drum that is impossible to clean. I do use the tub clean, vinegar, and bleach but still have brown slime covering my clothes and bedding. I think it has made my husband and I sick from the mold and mildew that we cannot get to and clean. We are told to leave the door open so it can dry! Why would a machine be made that you have to leave the door open (which we do) and have to constantly clean. It still does not help. I would not recommend the LG front loader.

I bought a LG refrigerator (model no. LFXS30766S) on December 2015. After two years of service the compressor went bad. I was able to get LG to replace the compressor, since it was still under its 10 year warranty although the repair cost me about $250 on labor cost. Now on February 2020 the second compressor when also bad. It is my conclusion that LGs linear inverter compressors are complete garbage and LG shall issue a recall and replace them or issue refunds to all customers with this problem.

We are joining the rest of duped LG purchasers. We purchased a French Door refrigerator LFX28968SB in 2015 and on 9-19-18 we had to throw food out and are now using a cooler with ice to keep essentials. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. We contacted the store where we bought it and a service tech came out on 9/20/18 and said there was nothing he could do. It ** the bed. I called customer service (which the rep was rude) and she stated we needed to have a certified LG tech look at it and they need to submit the repair request. She gave the one, which there seemed not to be more than 1 in RI. Contacted Certified Service Co. and they seemed to be having issues with doing work on LG and said I would have to have parts sent to me if they were under warranty. I agreed. Now after reading all the reviews Im cancelling the service call and going to buy new refrigerator and it will not be a LG for sure. I think a lawsuit against this company needs to be revisited. There are way too many lemons out there and they were not cheap. Not to mention the loss of food and tons of aggravation!

LG refrigerator LFX25960SB. My problem is the same as the one found over countless number of similar complaints on LG refrigerators - after a short period of ownership, the cooling area keeps shutting off with error code “ER DH”. How is it that there are so many complaints and there is no recall on these problem parts or at least a class action suit? If anyone has any knowledge of any group action being taken against this company, I am in! I will never buy an LG product again in the future and will certainly spread the word.

Purchased a highly rated LG refrigerator in 2011 with a 10 year warranty on the compressor. 8 years to the day, the compressor died. Compressor is under warranty, but other parts & labor are my expense. When the repairman went to install the replacement compressor sent from LG he found it was not the same. In fact it was very different. LG Parts dept said it was compatible & should work. The repairman, who has 30 + years experience, told us that the refrigerator would need rewiring & even then there was no guarantee it would work. He estimated his labor time to be 4 hours. Further discussion with LG brought no other resolution. Bottom line, they do not have the compressor for older models. They could have offered to put the labor under warranty but they did not. Their final word was that someone on their end (from the parts dept) would instruct the repairman how to install the compressor. We know this repairman for over 20 years. He is very honest & very good. He said trying to install the compressor sent, as is would be a fire hazard. His recommendation is to save our money on the labor cost & put it to a new refrigerator. NOT LG. Another comment: I had little choice in 2011 when I went to buy a refrigerator the size I wanted. The bottom freezer was the style. I hate it for many reasons. You cant put boxes in without them jamming; even ice cream containers. I freeze meat & chicken in air tight bags in order to fit more in. I am now looking for a top freezer instead.

Model# LMX25964ST100, Serial# 008KRUC00694. I cannot get a repair technician or any replacement through manufacturer warranty. I bought it in 11-20-2010 and the freezer or ice make dont work but it runs constantly. So I have unplugged it after 6 days of straight running because I was afraid it would get too hot and catch on fire. Can someone tell me what I have to do to get it back since it has not been fixed and run so much? It is a Double-Door LG refrigerator and I have talked to LG customer service for a whole week and still cant get nothing done. I even contacted Home Depot where I bought it and an extended warranty, but they can do nothing because it is still under manufacturer warranty. Needless to say, I probably will never buy another LG product but I would like mine replaced or refunded for it!

Our LG refrigerator is junk. After 6 months the freezer led lighting went out and requires a $150 part. Cannot see where the buttons are on the front panel because they are not illuminated. It seems the designers have never used the product. Now a year later the water line from the valve to the icemaker is splitting and ruined our kitchen cabinets. This have never happened with any other refrigerator in over 40 years except for LG. Absolute crap materials and workmanship.

Do NOT buy a LG fridge nor use Southland Technical for after service. LG has their own service techs but they are not qualified to do compressor work. So they contract out. Last hot summer, I was given the run around by LG for over 2 weeks to get someone to come see my broken down $3,000 fridge. They keep telling me how busy they are and finally they gave me Southland’s phone number to call. Southland came out, and $1,000+ later, I get my new compressor. Almost exactly 105 days later, the compressor broke down again!!! The service guy who came out in January told me this is the SECOND incident in last 2 days he has seen!!! It took almost 2 months for Southland to get back to me to confirm indeed the compressor had broken down again and due to some BS story, the fridge can no longer be fixed and they will have LG call me. 2 weeks on, LG called to tell me I am SOL because LG did not initiate the call to Southland and therefore LG is not responsible. LG offered me a $100 credit for my next LG fridge, REALLY!! I am suspicious it was a collision between Southland and LG to get me to buy a new fridge. Really Southland, you took $1,000 of my money, replaced the compressor. (Assume they did or perhaps an after-market no name???) And to tell me 105 days is outside the 90 day warranty period. Hands up out there if anyone knows a compressor to last only 105 days. (Yes, days, not months!!) Needless to say, never use Southland and never buy any LG products... Look around, less and less dealers are selling LG, only Costco because they do not have a service department so LG is a convenient partner for a lousy brand!!

Two years later the compressor went bad, no support from LG, the repairman said he could order the compressor but they were backed ordered and could take up to a month to get one in. His hourly rate over a $100 an hour. He told me he has replace over ten compressors in the last year. Cheaper to buy a new refrigerator. Would I buy another LG. No way.

I purchased the LG DLE2050W Dryer along with the matching washer 2.5 yrs ago. We have replaced a sensor, a fuse and when the dryer quit drying a week ago, I thought here we go again, ordered another fuse and guess what, that didnt work this time. I have had a couple of dryers over the 32 yrs of our marriage, and never had to replace more than a heating coil even with 2 boys growing up here. It is just my husband and I now, 2-3 loads a week and dealing with this is ridiculous. You have to take the drum out to get to the most minute parts and what a pain that is. So, this dryer will be stuck in the corner of the basement and tomorrow, I am getting a new Whirlpool and feel confident I wont be dealing with these issues again.

On Feb. 6, 2017 our 11 month-old LG refrigerator stopped cooling. Since that time the compressor has been replaced and the main motherboard. Nearly 2 months later the freezer is inoperable as well as the ice maker. The refrigerator is semi-warm. I have asked for an exchange, and the service companies believe we have a lemon. I would give this product 0 stars if that were an option. I purchased this appliance 4 years ago and while it looks great, it has been nothing but trouble. We first had an issue about 2 years after purchase - it stopped cooling in the freezer. We lost quite a bit of food but the repair was covered by the warranty. Now 2 years later, the same thing has happened except now it is both the freezer and refrigerator that will not cool. I have lost hundreds of dollars in food and have to take time off from work to wait for the repairman. And to top it off, LG customer service is terrible. I spent nearly an hour on the phone scheduling an appointment, only to have them reschedule for a day later. I am furious. After doing some research, I see that there is a class action suit against LG for just this problem - issues with their compressors. Unfortunately for me, the suit is in California and Im in NY or I would jump on that.

My drum cracked like a lot of others did along the front seam. I ignored it for awhile until the noise got too loud. I took the drum out. If you do this, keep track of the sequence that the parts came off and what screws go where. Its not that hard to do. I cut a thin piece of sheet metal to cover the crack and along the outer rim of the drum, drilled 5/32 holes and pop riveted in place. I ground down the pop rivets so they wouldnt catch on the clothes. The dryer is back in service and the total cost for the repair was $2.75. But have no doubt about it, LG products are nothing but cheap overpriced junk. Do not buy!

Let me say first, I always like to give anybody a chance to resolve issues
Let me say first, I always like to give anybody a chance to resolve issues and I am really patient with giving multiple chances to do so! After four years of horrible service and a machine which is unusable with heavy laundry I finally had it, I feel everybody should know! This washer is unable to spin heavy loads! Washing half a load is impossible, it cannot balance a half load! If you fill the washer up with towels and bed linens it sometimes spins, but often it does not!! It will display in the screen that the load is unbalanced. THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS TAKING THE TOTALLY WET LOAD OUT OF THE MACHINE, PUT A PART OF THE LOAD BACK IN THE MACHINE AND THEN IT CAN SPIN TWO OR THREE SMALL LOADS, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!The problem exists already from the beginning, its stupid from me that I have dealt with it for so long. I am just too busy! I started to take action after the warranty was expired. So LG was nice and extended the warranty. But before someone came to our house I had to listen to their UNBELIEVABLE ADVICE: I was only supposed to put 4 towels in the washer, I was supposed to put jeans on one side and t-shirts on the other in the same load??? And then a tech told me this machine was not made for heavy loads! On top of that I was told that I should only use the towel program for towels and other programs were not made for it! But I wanted to use the hygiene program that gives hot steam as well! Later I was told that this was all not true and that the machine should be able to do it all! They eventually decided that the drum was warped and that it needed to be replaced. So a tech came, but the poor man barely could do the work. He was sweating profusely had trouble to sit on his knees and it took him many hours. Then he noticed a screw was not working well from the new outer drum so he decided to put the new inner drum inside of the old outer drum. He convinced me the problem was solved, BUT THAT WAS NOT TRUE, THE PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE!!!!Now THE PROBLEM WAS EVEN WORSE, after the repair THE MACHINE DID NOT SPIN AND DID NOT DRAIN ANYMORE!! I was beyond myself! It took forever before the next tech came, a very nice man, but he said he had no time to fix it and that another tech would come instead. Weeks went by and a totally arrogant man showed up on the wrong day, when only my husband was home. He said he was going to fix it his way and it was up to him to decide what he was going to do. The fact that a manager of LG had decided to replace the full drum this time, he totally ignored!! He repaired a few things and decided it was now really fixed.Lots of email correspondence later with a manager from LG, to my utmost frustration the problem is still there!! Appointments were cancelled due to weather and scheduling problems and one tech just did not show up! I can hardly believe it but THE WASHER IS STILL NOT SPINNING WITH HEAVY LOADS AND EVEN WITH SMALLER LOADS IT BANGS AND IT MADE EVEN MY KIDS WONDER WHERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM!! I am so frustrated and dont know what to do!! I approached another department to seek for real help but they came back to me with a few ridiculous statements, like changing my laundry detergent to he what I always have done even with the much better washer I had before from kitchenaid.I AM SEEKING FOR HELP, THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE WASHER $1199!! I have saved every e-mail correspondence I had with them. So I have proof that my story is true! I am so done with this machine and want to make sure that other people never have to go through the same issues I have! THEREFORE THIS WARNING: NEVER EVER BUY AN LG!!

The LG over-the-range microwave MODEL LMV1683ST caught on fire. This appliance was manufactured in December 2014 and I purchased it at Lowes in March 2015. On July 3, 2015 the unit started sparking and smoking and then flames started shooting inside the unit. 4 months old and LG thinks it might be repairable. I dont want that unit in my house. I have spend several hours cumulatively on the phone trying to get a new unit. The unit only cost $200, yet they have sent repair people to my home. The cost of the repair time has exceeded the cost of goods and out of frustration, LG has created a consumer that will never buy another LG product. The poor Customer Service Reps must hate their job. They are not empowered to really help the consumer. It seems to me that LG has a lot to learn about customer satisfaction.

Well, it seems that every time I turn around now something goes wrong with my machine (LG washer). At first, I thought it was the best investment ever. After the warranty expired, it seemed that the rubber that goes in front of the machine that seals the door closed has a slit on it. New part would be around $100.00 plus labor. It seems that we need to have someone out here all the time. We just had it repaired because the computer needed to be reset. We have had it serviced 4 times. Really, why are they so expensive if they are going to need all these repairs after 4 or 5 years of purchase?

Well this is the third time a service person has been out. When I called about the UE the first time I was told it was out of balance. I assured the person that it was doing this even with only 3 pieces of clothing in the machine and that the machine was balanced and checked with a level. So they send someone out to look at it and say it needs a computer part. Great parts ordered and problem solved. Wrong!!! Needless to say not very long after we end up having an issue that the UE goes on then the machine starts to go back to 20 minutes when there was only 5 minutes left. It does this 6 times and 2 hours later still messing with it, I call for service again. Well, again we need another part. Now a few months later, which brings us to this month July 2016 we have UE and the washer is now turning its lights on like it is going to start up without having any laundry in it and nobody being in the room. If it does successfully get a load done it will not turn the lights off. Service out again and another order for more parts. Gee, you would think LG would want to keep up good business practices and recall the washers. If a business backs its mistakes, it makes you want to purchase their brand again but if they dont then you run far away and tell anyone that will listen. My electric is sky high to begin with because it is Toledo Edison and now with the washer issues it is even worse. Nobody should have to wait 2 hours on a quick wash. I personally will not buy LG anymore and will make sure to tell people when I see them in stores shopping for washers to find another brand.

After 15 years of waiting and saving our money, we finally decided to buy a large size LG refrigerator. We bought one LG large size fridge (Model No - GL-378PLQ4) with 2 extended warranty from Croma store on 30th April 2014. But from day one, only we started facing having cooling problem with fridge. We lodge 2 complaints within 2 weeks and every time they concluded that the Fridge is OK at their side. But when we lodged complaint 3rd time on 17th May 2014, the LG engineer found that yes, there is some issues with compressor and need to get it repair.Since its newly purchased fridge not even one month old, we requested them to replace it. Yes, the product has 3 years warranty. Then they finally started their game. Mr. Sandeep **, senior associate in LG office in Vaishali, promised us to get fridge replace within 2 weeks. But whenever I called them, either they are processing my request or in process state. Later on Mr. Sandeep ** informed me that the company has stopped production of this model and they dont have similar piece now. He assured me to return my money and got ready to initiate the process to refund our money.Again after having so many calls, Mr. **, Senior customer executives collected one cancelled check and they took signed on their document as part of their money refund process. May month was already gone and it was mid of June. Every time I called to LG customer executive person to request them if they can get the status of my request from Local LG executives. Later on, ** associate that handles replacement request called me up and said they cant refund my money, and will provide me another alternate model. Though I was not ready to accept after having such bad experience with them, still I got convinced and asked them to provide me a model at least with same configuration. Since we have already paid for that.I also talked to Mr. **, head of LG department. He convinced me that they will provide me a better model with better configuration than the one I purchased. They offered me LG Model GL- D372RLJM. Since we have been already frustrated from last 2 months with having *N* of calls to all senior/junior executives, I didnt had power to check on LG showroom now. Since they all were saying its latest model than your last model and its much costly than your one. I trusted them and asked them to deliver it. Finally on 3rd July, 2014 they delivered alternative LG model which was of medium size. Its one row less than our one. I called Ms. ** and asked her to take it back and said its not on agreement on what we convinced. She said they will look into the matter and will try to resolve it asap.I called many a time to LG customer executives, Ms. **, Mr. **. But I didnt receive any response. Then after one week, Mr. Sandeep called me stated that they cant do anything now because we accepted their replacement fridge and signed on their documents. And secondly, its being one week now and its too late to raise your voice on this. I tried to convey my message to them and said, Sir, Ive been calling to all of your executives since first day only when you kept your replaced fridge and ** knows all of this incidence. But he didnt agree and said they cant do anything now. Its not cheating and what we call it now. Company has stopped making more model of what we purchased. Thats not customer fault and why customer has to compromise with medium model in that case. I request to this forum if someone can listen my voice and do some justice to us.

I bought LG fridge in Nov. 2014. It was dead by the end of June. Im not sure because the reading temp. at the door is still at 37/-2 degrees. I found out it was not working when all my food are rotten in the bottom freezer and smelly in the fridge. I called customer service on 7/10 who gave 2 repair service phone numbers. I contacted them and both didnt have any opening til next month. I called LG again, they gave me another 2 names. I asked if I can call any service that will offer earliest service. She said no because the service need to be LG authorized. I then called 1 of them. The tech came on 7/12 and found the compressor is ineffective. He charged $100 for trip/diagnose. If I have him repaired the fridge he will deduct this charge into the total labor which is $485.I called the customer service again to see if they can reimburse me for the cost of the compressor so I can buy a new fridge instead of paying that much for repair. They said no and at this time they offer me the flat rate repair of $362 for one-time service 60-day warranty or $485/1 year. I asked them if I can use the tech who diagnosed the problem before, they said no because he is not authorized by LG. Thats such a lie (They give me the referral). I asked why not offer me this at first. He said he didnt know. Anyway, I ordered the $362 repair and they charged up front. A confirmed email was sent and schedule for repair on7/17 between 8-12 pm. I took a day off to wait for them. Nobody showed up nor called. I called customer service. After being on hold for awhile, she said the service tech was behind so he couldnt make it.Being asked what will they do to correct it, she said she will send email to higher department to find another service for me. She didnt offer refund nor feel sorry about the situation. I asked to talk to the manager (direct number was requested). I called only to talk to a rep. again, go through all issues again. He put me on hold for over 20 still no response. After reading all complaints about LG. I found out that all issues lead to one result that LG just tried to drive customer around and postponing the solution. I have tried several times to call the supervisor just to wait for 20+. I tried to live chat, after being transferred to repair service dept., I waited there for 30 nobody responded. I emailed them only to get sorry for your inconvenience, we will take your input to improve our service. No problem was solved. Now I dont know what they plan to do on my repair order. No phone call nor email. I think Im going to call the federal trade and general state attorney to report this issue. My first tech told me that dont be tricked by the long term warranty. LG and Samsung parts are very hard to find and easy to break. This is the worst appliance brand and customer service I have ever seen. Im so upset that I spent that much money to buy this crap for over 2 years. I wonder why they still exist on the market. If I can give 0 star, I would.

We bought an LG freezer on the bottom french door refrigerator a couple of years ago. One year later, the computer board went out. It wasnt in the warranty. We had to pay for a new computer board. We had to spend a great deal of money for ice in the ice chest to keep things from spoiling. That went on for 3 weeks until the new board arrived. The LG stopped working again soon after. We had to buy a new one, this time, a Maytag. It was bought Oct. 28 and today, the freezer stopped working. Now it has started up again. Very strange. We had given our 15 year old Whirlpool refrigerator to our daughter when we bought the LG and that old Whirlpool is still working like a charm. Thats because it has no computer board on the back! Why on earth do name brand companies compromise their name by manufacturing these inferior products now and use a computer board? They take no pride in their name. Their refrigerators are made in Korea, not the US, and are made to be disposable. Never mind the expense to the consumer. Can anyone tell me why there has to be computer boards to run a refrigerator? They are never reliable. I would love to bring a class action lawsuit to manufacturers of these appliances and computer boards, but dont know where to start. I am sure everything is made in Korea. Shame on all those manufacturers!

As others have mentioned, we initially bought the model based on the positive reviews we found online. However we too have had multiple issues with the knobs being turned on and gas being on without the burners. The knobs are very, very sensitive and a tiny bump just brushing the knobs will turn it on. Our children are teenagers, but we even looked for baby proof covers because we are so nervous around this stove. It has become a routine to check the knobs multiple times and we ourselves have found the gas on at almost every party we have had just because as others have said walking by and brushing the knob will turn the gas on. We have a party this weekend and are using packing tape to ensure that guests dont accidentally turn on the knobs when they brush against the stove. Honestly if I had another $2,000 to drop on a stove Id replace it right away. For anyone looking, stay, far far away from this stove. It is only a matter of time before someones home or self is injured by this stove. I am honestly surprised with the amount of comments that they have not yet recalled or provided a fix for this.

After slightly less than 3 years my French Door Refrigerator suddenly could not get cold enough to safely refrigerate the food and safely keep foods frozen. The temperature in the refrigerator box hovered at about 40 and the freezer at around 32. The temperatures would not change even though I increased the coldness setting. A repairman from a reputable repair company and after testing and checking all of the different components he said the compressor was failing. He said that it was a common problem with the LG refrigerator. He said he had several compressor failures in them a year and that nearly all of them were less than 3 years old. The repair cost is more than it is worth. I am just going to buy a new brand. I also tried to contact LGs technicians to confirm the problem. They wanted $30 to discuss this with me since it was out of warranty.

I had dealt with our old washer for years. It would become unbalanced a lot. Clothes would come out with washing detergent, dirt, food and baby poop still on them. We decided to buy a new set and not have to worry anymore. We paid almost $2000.00 for the pair. Its exactly like the old one except were out $1000.00. The dryer is fine. Love it, but HATE, HATE THE WASHER. Scale of 1-10 it gets a 1.

After reading the other reviews, I felt compelled to write a response as well. The dishwasher does not clean the dishes and I rinse my dishes before I put them in. The odor has never gone away as well and when I read that someone had done testing and the dishwasher is off-gassing, I was really annoyed. Good luck on the 4 year extended warranty because LG sends someone out to look at the problem. They call tech help and say the problem is not covered under the warranty. Does anyone know how to fight LG on this problem? It seems there are enough of us who are fed up with their products. I also have a LG French Door that has a foul odor as well. I am really disgusted with their products.

Installed for less than two weeks, my $2500 refrigerator is nothing more than a kitchen interloper. Came home from work to discover water pouring from the water/ice compartment in the door. Customer service was a joke. The first rep told me he had scheduled my appointment for the following day but when the email arrived it was for a day Id told him I was not home. I insisted on talking to a manager next and she made excuses. Said there were no appointments available but she would email the repair company to call me first thing to try to fit me in. Called the repair company twice the next day and no email from LG. May be sending this one back and getting a Samsung.

LG True Balance washing machine - We purchased this machine brand new and was told it was top of the line in terms of quality and capacity. It was also at the top end of pricing. We have been dissatisfied in every way. It takes hours to complete a wash cycle and the only chance you stand of getting through a wash cycle without machine stopping every 10 minutes and showing an error code is if you wash like items, ie only towels or only jeans... and then you still often times have to reposition at least once. Many times I cant get the load to finish and have had to remove and wring out by hand soaked and dripping items from machine. We have balanced it every way possible and done all recommended troubleshooting. Techs say just wash like items... not realistic to wash that many separate loads. Would love to hear if anyone has figured out how to fix this issue.

Our LG refrigerator wasnt 3 years old and the compressor went. It was covered under a 10 year warranty through LG. 2 days after it broke a LG repairman came out and said it would be a 6 week wait for a compressor. That was unacceptable. Tried calling LG customer service a few times. And kept getting the runaround. We bought it at Best Buy. LG was telling us that Best Buy was responsible even though its on paper that the compressor is LGs responsibility. They did not want to give me what I paid for and deserved. Either a repair in a timely manner or a replacement. After 3 weeks and help from Best Buy I finally got approved for a new refrigerator. And needless to say I did not get a LG this time around. I wouldnt buy an alarm LG alarm clock.

1st dishwasher faulty control panel. LG wanted us to wait for 3.5 months for part. I had to raise bloody hell before they agreed maybe this was a touch unreasonable. Luckily Lowes mgmt was outstanding and took machine back and gave us replacement. Installation number two completed to find door latch assembly faulty and after LG needing two different repair people to verify this machine too is a piece of crap the new door assembly part will not be available for 40 days from now and will not replace machine and expect us to wait for their repairs. Why oh why did I not read recent reviews of LG products. I have all LG appliances in my home that I have had for over 10 years. Now reviews say newer LG products a consumer is lucky to get 3 years. Calling all consumers... Vote with your $$, stop buying LG and lets put this company out of business.

This is my 4th LG TV. Still have 2 and gave one away. Impressed with the picture and how easy the set is to operate. Sometimes a little lag in the picture but it was expected by what the sales person advised before I made my decision.

LG Refrigerators has good quality. Quiet and works wonderfully. Weve had it for three years. LED lights are great and well placed. But workmanship on freezer door seal needs improvement.

The gas oven went on the fritz 2 years in- took apart, tapped on the ignitor tube and started working again. Stopped once after using broiler - got it going again by tapping on igniter. Learned to not use broiler but now oven and broiler both stopped today. Very pretty stove and worked great for 2 years. Not happy.
