We have an LG refrigerator (Model: LFC2576OTT). I opened the doors and found out that the unit was so hot. We cannot turn off the lights. This is our replacement refrigerator with the same company. A very bad product that could cost my familys life and our house.

Pricey fridge. Broke in 2.5 years. LG unable to schedule an appointment to fix for almost an entire week. Tried to call local repair shops. No one will touch it. They say it all has to go through LG. Like buying a Porsche but without getting service to justify the hideously expensive product. Would never buy this line of appliance again.

We have a 3-door side-by-side with ice/water. Ice maker is slow and very undersized so we will definitely run out of ice during a party. The refrigerator is very stylish but it is painted and can and did scratch. The unit is quiet and led lighted interior is quite nice. The door gasket has gone bad in 3 years though. WE bought this thru Home Depot and wisely bought additional wty. WE have some trouble with refrig and LG stove and the warranty company has been EXCELLENT. This is very important. No sin to need a repair but to be left hanging is not good. We will buy LG again. :-)

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator for $1,500. Refrigerator suddenly stopped working last week, spoiling hundreds of dollars of food! Called a repairman who made an in-house visit and LG customer support, both confirmed that I need a new compressor. LG confirmed that compressor is covered by 7 year warranty but labor charges are my responsibility. They provided me with a couple of authorized repair places to call. I received several quotes for labor ranging from $650-$850! The refrigerator isn’t even worth that! LG has refused to do anything to fix or compensate for this!!! What a scam, I demand a full refund and will be joining a class action suit against LG for this fraud and encourage all to the same immediately! If anyone has had the same issues you can reach me at: **.

1) Call to repair with $125 + tax; 2) Paid $270.16 labor cost to replace evaporator, compressor were kind of expensive for the parts still under warranty; 3) After the repairs with $405, the refrigerator only lasted 2 weeks, then dead, which was very bad; 4) Waited for 2 weeks to get a resolution before we are allowed to buy another refrigerator is inhuman. That is not the way how you treat valued customer; 5) $405 repair fee wasted.

Last Friday night at 6:00, I discovered that the food in my refrigerator was getting warm. The thermostat said 37 degrees in the refrigerator and 0 degrees in the freezer, but food was warm in the refrigerator and things in the freezer were melting. I started calling appliance repair services. Most were closed at 6 PM but the ones who did answer said, Sorry, but we cant work on LG appliances. I asked, Why not? I was told, Because LG will NOT ALLOW us to be a part of their service network and LG will NOT let us buy parts. The repair services said that they had filled out apps and had been jumping through hoops for LG for 1-2 years without success. Because of LGs policies, I lost $400-500 worth of food and am FORCED TO BUY A NEW REFRIGERATOR. Today, Monday, the other repair services that I had left messages for Friday night have been returning my calls and ALL OF THEM told me the very same thing about LG service policies. LG forces customers to call LG and LG sends a repair person (you have to wait days) who charges 2-3 times the going rate, and LG charges sky high prices for parts. The repair services said to buy a Whirlpool, Amana or Kenmore instead because parts are readily available and less expensive. Whirlpool donates to Habitat for Humanity, too. GE parts are the highest, except for LG.

Our refrigerator’s compressor stopped working a little over 3 weeks ago.
Our refrigerator’s compressor stopped working a little over 3 weeks ago. I have called LG numerous times to try and get an answer to see if they’ll fix. It’s still under warranty. Because of Covid-19, they can’t find any service person in my area. The last person I talked to on the phone told me that because I don’t have my sales receipt that there’s not they can do for me. This fridge was purchased over 9 years ago. And he said “well whatever“ as if he didn’t care to hear my side. Kept talking over me and also my wife who was trying to explain herself. What truly upset us both was the lack of professionalism and the fact that I’ve had to contact lg every time to get an answer. An email was promised last week and. Not until today Monday May 11, 2020 was the email sent after the person I spoke with told me that they would be sending it!!!! Basically I don’t recommend any lg products to anyone. Customer service is located in the Philippines, nothing wrong with that but it’s like they don’t care because they’re not here dealing with our problems. Very disappointing experience for us.

On May 9, 2016, our five-year-old LG French Door Refrigerator had a failure on the Linear Compressor. Working with our maintenance agreement (American Homebuyers Protection Corp), LG agreed to send the Linear Compressor part (under warranty) to a contractor (Appliance Wizard) working with American Home Buyers who would then install the part under our maintenance agreement. To this date, June 2, 2016 - 24 days later, the part has not arrived. Numerous calls have been made by us, American Homebuyers Corp, and Appliance Wizard. LG Customer Service consistently refuses to answer questions regarding the parts arrival or to allow tracking. LG Customer Service flat out refuses to let us speak to a manager. After more than a week of living out of an ice cooler, we purchased a less expensive refrigerator (certainly NOT LG) in order to live life at home without eating out or living out of ice cooler.LG has shown they do not care about their customers. Allowing a customer to go nearly a month without facilitating possible repairs is negligent beyond words and fraudulent under a warranty. Refusal to allow the customer or others who are working with that customer to determine the status of the repair (in this case - has the part been ordered as stated and if so, where is the part?) indicated LG should not be in the business requiring customer service. To say we are frustrated is just a pebble thrown into a large lake. Where is our recourse? At this point, we are not confident we will ever receive this warranted part! Posting on Facebook - writing this review - we will NEVER buy another LG Product. LG is a disreputable company. Be Aware!

Our LG is a beautiful-looking appliance and for 2 years I enjoyed most everything except for the water leaking out of the bottom on to my maple floor. I called several times just to speak to someone who said I would have to call an authorized service tech (only they are located 100+ miles away and want a lot of money to come to see if it can be fixed). The ice would build up on the freezer floor, so every week I would remove everything from the freezer, remove the ice, and then the next week do it all over again. Then 3 weeks ago the refrigerator portion just quit cooling. (It will get to 58 degrees and that is it.) Now I put all my perishables in my 20 year old Frigidaire. Nobody wants to come fix the LG and customer service needs a lot of training on being customer service.I also have an LG phone for 1 month -- JUNK. I just want to say when I go buy another refrigerator it wont be LG and I will do a lot of research before I give any of my hard-earned money to another company. By the way, I did not get an extended warranty because my other refrigerator is 20 years old and still works great! Should have not gotten a new one. If I worked or owned LG I would hide my face. This is the second complaint I have written on this product.

I purchased an LG gas range from Best Buy approximately 18 months ago. I have recently discovered the knobs have been well-documented as dangerous and we have had to replace all on our own. This complaint is regarding sparking on burners out of the blue! Sunday evening, my husband and I heard a clicking noise and when I entered the kitchen, the stove burners where sparking! The only way it would stop was to pull the stove out from the wall. Still sparking, it was unplugged and we turned off the gas. LG came out today and has no idea what caused this and doesnt know what to do about it. I was told to call them if it happens again. Thats if we are home and, God forbid, not asleep. This is so dangerous!

We bought the above LG washer new at Best Buy on 3/16/14 along with an extended warranty. It wasnt delivered until 3/29/14. We ran it for ~2 weeks when on 4/13/14 it began spraying water all over our floor from the bottom right of the machine. I immediately called Best Buy about a return. Their policy is only 15 days. They count that 15 days from the date of purchase, not delivery. (Let that be a warning). So we only had the washer in our house and running for a few days before the return period ended. They would not honor a return and told us we had to go through LG. From there it got much, much worse. Have some patience to read the rest of this and you will get the true feel for LGs Customer Service. Pray you never have a problem. You can see in the attached transcripts that the repairman that came out basically saw a non-fixable problem and tried to the LG to condemn the unit. LG wouldnt do it as they saw it as repairable. Our repairman said all other companies he deals with would take the repairmans recommendation and replace the unit. He warned us that LG is different and that they would fight tooth and nail to not have to exchange the unit. Afterwards, I contacted LG customer service on the phone and was placed on infinite hold two times. I finally resorted to the chat room option. Read the transcript to get their idea of customer service. We had been without a washer for 2 weeks at that point and LG did absolutely nothing to help. No replacement, no loaner, no stipend towards a Laundromat, coupon, or even an apology. What we got was we have 30 days to fix it per our warranty and it sounds inconvenient for you. There was zero attempt at trying to appease us as customers. The 2nd round of parts came in, and sure enough as our repairman said, they didnt solve the problem. It was now 4/29 and we are livid to still be without a working washer after spending over $800. He provided them copies of our receipts and LG stated they would start processing an RA (return authorization review). We were told we would hear from LG in a day or so. A few days went by, I tried calling LG again. No response. Emailed. No response. Finally, managed to get hold of a Customer service manager. They told me they had 3 days to process an RA. I told her it had now been over a week. She didnt know what to say. She also stated they didnt have copies of our receipts. They did, but I resent them again. Now go to the next email string.Today, my wife called again. LG said they didnt process anything because they didnt have the receipts. I had to provide them a THIRD TIME. We were then told it will take 3 working days or more to process the return through Best Buy and about another week to 10 working days before they will arrange for a replacement unit. That does not count time for delivery. They still dont care and wont help in any way. So we are looking at being without a washer for about 1-1/2 months or more. We are still scrambling to get laundry done. I will be looking to get the photos taken by our repairman showing the gap in the machine and post them once received.Consequences? My wife has been traveling 20 miles each way to her mothers house ~2-3 times per week to do laundry. A few times she has gone to a local neighbors house. I have had to leave work early and take personal time to travel 30 miles (45 minutes) on 3 occasions so far to deal with the service calls. Hours spent on the phone and the Internet trying to reach resolution. Inconvenience. Frustration. Strained relationships with relatives. A mess on our floor that I had to clean up. About 1-1/2 months without a washer after spending $800 on what was sold to me as a supposed functional unit.

Purchased our washer from Home Depot about (4) years ago, and if I could return it, I would. This has been the worst machine I have ever had. It doesnt dispense enough water to clearly wash clothes. I know this as my husband drives a truck for a living and brings home very grungy work clothes, and I can never get them spotless. Its really disappointing when you spend good money on appliances, to only have that money wasted on something you cant return. This machine smells, rattles and take forever to complete a cycle. Theres no rushing to get a load done at night. I could go to the laundromat faster!

LG WaveForce TrueBalance anti-vibration system Model #WT5101HV, Product Cod
LG WaveForce TrueBalance anti-vibration system Model #WT5101HV, Product Code #T1309ADFH6.ASSEEUS. Bought washer & matching dryer 11/27/2010 with 5 year extra warranty on both. Three years of hell! Large-capacity washer that simply WILL NOT BALANCE, but will instead of sounding a buzzer that it is OFF BALANCE, will just restart the countdown timer as it REFILLS with WATER and starts the rinse cycle... again and again and again. Found out the hard way one time 5 hours later that it was still restarting the rinse cycle because it could not balance itself, yet it had never once sounded with the buzzer. Yes, the buzzer can work on occasion, but the load has to be very off balance. When I first got it and the countdown timer reset and the rinse cycle started again, I mistook that it was just part of the machines normal operation, but there is nothing normal for the waste of water and the amount of time I spend standing in front of the washer trying to catch it before it resets AND the amount of time I spend rearranging the load to try and balance it in the tub to the machine balance sensors satisfaction... up to 30 minutes at a time moving heavy wet clothes around or removing them by hand to place one on this side and one on that side... endless aggravation. Even if I use the lowest spin and step it up to the highest spin, it will not balance. If you dont use the highest spin cycle (or step up from low to high) it takes nearly 2 hours to dry clothes on the 2nd highest spin cycle. The factory recall notice that I received was merely an insult to the problem because it does not address the ACTUAL issue -- which is that it will not balance. Instead, the recall wants to tell me not to wash raincoats or such nonsensical how to or not to use the machine properly. It will not balance with: ONLY pants or ONLY shirts or ONLY towels or ONLY pajamas. The bigger the load in this large-capacity washer, the bigger the balance problem. If I wash a tiny load like socks, it might actually finish the load all by itself once-in-a-while, but why have a LARGE-CAPACITY washer if it is useless? If you mix shirts and pants, be prepared to untangle the biggest wet knots you have ever seen! I stopped using the low-water features a long time ago when my clothes did not clean properly, so I now use the Bulky/Bedding setting, which fills the tub with water. When I used the low-water features, the balance problem was exactly the same. I always keep the door open when not in use, so it does not stink itself up and requires special tub cleaning. I have only had to clean it once. Since the normal way this company has responded to the myriad of consumer complaints is even more impossible than dealing with the product, I see no reason to play their game of endless service calls when NO SERVICEMAN CAN POSSIBLY REDESIGN A FLAWED APPLIANCE. I have not heard of any service call fixing this models problems. I bought a 5-year service policy with 2 years left. This machines design is a lemon, so where is the companys restitution to us consumers? I dont want the upgraded software because it takes away wash settings and spin RPMs that I bought in the first place. A recall that is stone-cold useless and removes some original wash (gentle) and spin (extra high) variations is their restitution, so consumer take heed.

As many others have stated, if I could provide zero stars I would!!! Do not buy even if other reviews are good. Its not if its when your product will default. Weve had our LG refrigerator for less than 3 years, and bought the extended warranty. Unfortunately, its been nothing but trouble. We are currently out of a refrigerator and LG still has yet to come up with a solution or a reliable repair company. The first issue was the fan in the freezer compartment which was fixed and covered under warranty. Now its the compressor, which for anyone thats not aware does have a 5-year manufacturer warranty that we would not have known until someone told us and it wasnt LG. The company that LG contracted out came to repair (the company actually had horrible reviews online) but guess what folks our refrigerator still is not working and we are at 4 weeks. I would like to add for anyone experiencing issues to file a complaint with the BBB which I just finished. Its too soon to determine if this will help mitigate the process but its worth pursuing. We spend entirely way too much for a product that does not work.

Call center DO NOT follow up on return calls, they book technicians that can not work of the fridge model and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told that they do not take calls??? If you are running a call center make your emplyees can solve an issue and not just note-takers. First Id like to say that I am not a person often motivated to write reviews. I dont rush to review items that just meet my expectations. Youll only find a review from me if something is extremely worthwhile or, as in this case, seriously flawed. We purchased our brand new LG top-loading washing machine from Lowes in December 2013 for almost $700. For the first four months I was in love with it. Then I inadvertently pushed the stop button instead of the pause button when the load I was washing became unbalanced. Since the load had reached the Rinse stage, I thought Id just select the special option for Rinse/Spin. From that moment until just last week, Ive had nothing but trouble from it, related to being out of balance. After stopping it and restarting, the machine filled several times with water that almost overflowed the tub. I had to keep pausing and stopping it to keep it from continuing to fill. From then on, every load I washed had to be redistributed at least twice, most of them four, five, or six times. The straw that broke the camels back came when it took me all day to get one load close to being done. Before the final jingle, I would have to go to work and couldnt finish the load. The next morning I would come in to find the load soured and smelly, so I would start it all over. This went on for 14 days. Finally, Id had enough and called LGs customer service line. The CSR I talked to was condescending and snippy with me. I described the problem, only to be told that, either the installer didnt level the machine properly or SOMEONE (I wonder who she could be talking about?) had done something to the machine to cause it to be unbalanced. After I told her I wasnt stupid and actually did know she was referring to me, in a very rude manner she told me my issues were an installation problem and not covered under warranty. Then, she simply hung up on me. Since LG wouldnt help, I called the number for our extended warranty plan. Thank goodness we have that. The CSR there informed me that, if LG says it is an installation issue, then we wont cover it either. Maybe you should have Lowes come out and level it. My next call was to Lowes, still trusting that it might be, in fact, an installation issue. The original installer showed up in short order, level in hand, to prove that, not only is the machine leveled properly, our floor was absolutely level as well. He suggested that I go to the store and speak to the manager, which I did. Actually, I ended up speaking to an assistant manager, who with a sincere straight face, called the salesman up to the service counter and asked him to call the extended warranty plan for me. The salesman, who was the same man that sold us this machine, repeated what hed said to us when we bought the machine. This is the top rated washing machine in the country. We havent had any complaints at all about them. He did, however, call the warranty plan folks, who now were willing to arrange a service call. Now, out of all of the people we talked to during a two-week period, at no point through all of this did anyone mention that there was a RECALL on this machines controller board due to problems with... Can you guess...the machine continually being out of balance. Of all the negative reviews I had read during these two weeks, I only saw one where the controller board was mentioned. Apparently, no one at any point along the way wants the consumer to know that the machine has a KNOWN, WIDESPREAD, DOCUMENTED PROBLEM THAT RESULTED IN A RECALL. We only found out about the RECALL, because the service company, not wanting to waste their time on two service trips, called ahead to ask what issues we were having with the machine. As soon as my husband described our problems to them, their CSR told him about the RECALL. Said they would have to order the controller board and rescheduled the service call to a date after the part would be in. Their technician came to the service call with the controller board in hand, which apparently was already loaded with updated software. Since having this board installed, I have used my machine heavily all day for the past four days. The only out of balance error Ive seen was for a true out of balance condition where all my small load of clothes had ended up on one side of the tub. As long as this washer continues to operate the way it is now, Im happy to own it. To LG, Lowes, Lowes Extended Warranty and any other company who sells this product without letting their customers know about this issue and the RECALL, I can only say SHAME ON YOU! BE HONEST WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS!! After being treated so dishonestly and shamefully by LG, I will never buy another LG product of any kind, even if I am told it is the top rated product in the country. LG obviously has no intention of standing behind their products when there is something wrong with them. Im also shocked and seriously disappointed with Lowes in whom Ive had so much trust over past years. Apparently their policy is one of loyalty to their manufacturers rather than their customers. Heres a clue, Lowes. Without customers you dont need manufacturers. Im afraid I wont be shopping at Lowes for anything any more. And all of these bad feelings and sentiments could have been avoided simply by being honest with me about the issue and upfront about the RECALL. To all of you consumers who have one of these washers with similar problems, call as soon as possible to wherever you bought it and tell them that you know about the RECALL. Tell them you want it fixed or you want them to come and pick it up. Exchange it for a machine from a company who will stand behind their product to keep it working and their customers happy. Most of all, lets all quit buying products made by companies who dont keep the promises they make to us. If no one buys their products, theyll either have to change their business practices or go under. As for LGs flawed washing machine, it is my intent with this review to alert anyone who owns one about the RECALL. Remember: RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL. Take advantage of the RECALL!

My wife bought this LG Washing Machine Model WT5001C from a Best Buy shop. Since the break in we had problems and called technician to fix it. The cost of which now exceeded the cost of the machine. It is a fancy looking washer with a lot of fancy lights. Its sensors have limited light and go off often during a regular wash. The LG Service does not really care. It was a bad experience and recommend dont buy it even if it free as it cause so much inconvenience.

Something with the mechanical of my LG refrigerator wasnt cooling. And when the tech came he also found out that the freezer was almost about to not work. The temperature was still keeping it cool, but it wasnt working. Another problem I had was the submission. Some guy there did not know the rule and he was telling me that it was just the refrigerator, and if the freezer was still working, that it was not covered under the warranty. So, when I was talking to my warranty people, they said, No. Theyre supposed to cover it. But after back and forth for like two weeks I finally spoke to somebody that know what they were doing and then, they got the parts sent out. That contractor repaired it, and he left me his number in case I had any issues. But when I need ice, my refrigerator doesnt make enough ice for me. I was unhappy that it broke down. Bought the one Kelly Ripa advertised - should have known better - absolute pile of crap. The most expensive in the store at the time. Two years old and I am on the second control board. But that repair failed and after 9 weeks without a fridge I am now FURIOUS! I get back from a weekend away and find that now the freezer has failed and my floor is flooded and all my food ruined. The repair guy is on his way. But last time it took two months for the board to arrive. If it is anything else that needs replacing then that is another two months... absolutely PATHETIC PRODUCT AND PATHETIC BACK UP. As you can tell... I am extremely unhappy and frustrated about this disaster of a product. Yes, and it looks terrible also. The stainless steel is all marked with drips that will never come off.

LG Dishwasher Model LDF7932ST, leaking door seal several months after buying the dishwasher. The bottom rack caught on the thin metal that houses the door seal molding it bending it. I bent it back but it keeps happening. This is such a poor design. After it got bent back and forth so many times, my dishwasher is now unusable. I have a $900 piece of scrap and that is being kind the thin metal that houses the door seal that is welded in crap. We have been unable to purchase the replacement parts. We have to keep putting towels under the dishwasher to wash dishes. This is ridiculous to have such an expensive dishwasher that turned to crap so quickly. If anyone can be of any help, please write.

Two months ago the washer filled up and would not spin or drain. I had to have one of the kids wring the water out of the clothes pc by pc. I contacted a friend that did appliance repairs and asked for some help. He wasnt able to arrive for a week, after which time it was discovered it was the drum of the washer. I contacted LG and they said not to worry that it would be covered as a lifetime coverage. Great! Next problem I bought this off of co-worker and his partner that they had it for about a year prior but was going into a home foreclosure and sold it to me. I didnt ask for the receipt at that time not thinking it was an issues as they bought it at our local Home Depot just around the corner from us both. So as I am speaking with the LG Rep on the phone, she takes my info and then says okay I have everything I need, now we just need your tech to call in the repair call so it can be further processed. I explained the whole story as I did not have receipt and that it was never called in as I was the owner. She said thats okay, not to worry, that wouldnt be an issue. My friend calls in the problem to them, they tell him okay; its covered but all they need is a proof of purchase. Not so easy, the co-workers partner had passed a year ago and there was no remembering what CC was used to purchase or what phone number so Home depot has no way to track it. Needless to say months later, still no washer and now since I am on a fix budget as a single mom, I now have to use a laundry mat to do our laundry, very hard after many years. Its the freaking drum that is cover and I can show them exactly which store the Serial Numbered Washer was purchased from but that is not good enough after one rep said it wasnt a problem. I have told my friends and family, not to waste their time with LG Products as they too will run into POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Nothing but a run around and ** just to get out of the lifetime coverage. Avoid LG if you want better quality. Go with Maytag, I had one for over 10 + years!!!!

Every time I use my LG Wave Force supposedly “self balancing” washing machine it takes multiple hours to finish one load unless I am constantly readjusting the clothes to keep it balanced evenly. It doesn’t seem to matter if the load is big, medium or small in size. The result is still the same. The clothes do not seem to come out clean and the machine takes forever to finish a load. I spent a lot more than I had expected for this washing machine because of the great reviews that I read about it and have been highly dissatisfied since I purchased this piece of junk. I will never buy an LG washing machine ever again and I am writing this review to help others save their money to put towards their hard earned money towards a washing machine that’s well worth the big purchase. Clearly this one was a huge purchasing mistake. I HATE this machine!!!As if doing laundry wasn’t enough of a chore, babysitting this machine and CONSTANTLY readjusting the clothes is a busy woman’s nightmare!!! I’ve talked to many people and the consensus is the people love their washer if they purchased a Speed Queen. I’ll be looking into that type of washer soon. I would’ve thrown the LG washer out my second floor window by now if I could!!

I bought my LG washer, model #WM2016CW, on 5/17/2008. I have noticed all along that the clothes have this odor to them and then it transfers to the dryer but I kept doing the cleaning cycle and it worked for about a week then back to that smell. I tried every HE detergent I could find but the same results. But today was a whole new problem. I put the laundry in and went about doing my cleaning. I went down to the laundry room to change the clothes into the dryer and there was a mess on the floor; it was glass. I thought maybe a light broke but this was thick clear glass. I could not believe what I saw. The glass front of the washer burst into pieces and I had chunks of glass everywhere. The strange thing is that the washer had finished its cycle and the clothes were all done so this must have happened after the clothes finished. There was not a drop of water anywhere. I am still in shock that this happened but with LG anything can happen. I am told I will have to pay for a service man plus parts and LG will not give me any answers. They told me to call Sears, the place where I purchased it, and go through them. Sears gave me the runaround also. They told me that I would have to pay $75 just for a person to come out to look at it and then it could cost up to $350 depending on the cause. The whole door may have to be replaced and they have to try to find the cause which it sounds like they dont have a clue. So the washer is sitting in the laundry room and I am out looking for a new washer. I do not trust this washer at all after the explosion. I am writing my Attorney General and letting him know about this and many other things about LG products. I also own an LG gas stove. It is almost two years old and I have had LG people replacing the glass window. This has been ongoing since I bought the stove. There is a leak in the glass oven door and it just keeps fogging up and food particles get in between the glass door and oven door. What a piece of junk that cost me $1100. LG refuses to do anything about it so my husband and I keep taking the glass off and cleaning it and it is not an easy thing to do. I will never buy another LG product and I will tell everyone I know not to buy LG. They sent one guy over and he put the glass back wrong. All I can say is that LG is getting a bad reputation and if they dont get it right, then they will soon be out of business. I just finished reading 800 reviews of LG ovens and they were not good at all; most of them real bad. What is wrong with the LG company? Are they that stupid not to see what people are saying about their product? I will try to find a new washer made in the good old USA.

My compressor failed while my family and I were out of town recently. We lost everything that was in the freezer section and also everything on the refrigerator side of the unit. The process of getting the compressor fixed through warranty services was extremely easy. It was fixed within a week. But, I had estimated to the LG customer service rep that I had lost between 250-300 dollars in meat and fish that I had in the freezer along with all of the contents of the refrigerator side. LG sent me a check for 150.00 which helped with the loss but did not replace everything that was lost from the compressor failure. So, I was displeased in the fact that I had to replace what was lost even though it was not my fault and LG should have replaced the contents completely. Richard

Had my washer for just under four months. Extremely disappointed when it failed and leaked gallons of water on the floor. (Luckily, the washer is in my basement.) I contacted LG service at 10:00 a.m. on 1/6/15. The tech, Nate, showed up at 3:00 p.m. the same day. He ordered the part, water pump, which was delivered before 10:30 a.m. on 1/7/15. I called Nate to let him know that the part was in. He was at my house at 5:00 p.m., the same day as the part was delivered. I read all the reviews, including people waiting 6 weeks for a repair or replacement. I didnt hold much hope for having it fixed in a reasonable amount of time. My customer service and repair experience was, fortunately for me, great. Im not sure if I would recommend the washer as my old washer lasted 8 years with approximately 8 loads per week.

I have never written a review before! But I think now is the time! Frustration has taken over. We have all LG in our home (Washer, Dryer, Smart TV, Sound Bars, Dish Washer, Fridge with water and ice, Microwave, and Stove). I believe all are less than 3 years old. I agree with the other people who have written reviews on the dishwasher, it does not clean very well. Works best if you only have it half full and dishes have lots of space between them. Have to put it on pre-soak and then the 2-hour cycle. But it is quiet! Now for the frustration, our stove. We have the flat top with upper and lower ovens. Great idea as we use the upper oven for most things. The glass in the doors have stains between the glass. We called and it is a common issue and they recommend having the glass removed and have it cleaned but it will get dirty again so be prepared to do it somewhat often. The upper ceramic top has 4 elements (2 small in the back and two large in the front). My preference would be 1 small and 1 large in both back and front like most stove tops. One of the large front elements burned out a few weeks ago. We called to order the element and install it myself. Not a hard task if you are at all mechanically inclined. You cannot order parts and work on LG unless you are a certified repair shop?? It was not a money issue, it was something I wanted to do. So we prepaid on our visa to have a LG service person come in and replace the element. They said they would be there so we would have to have someone home between 7AM and 7 PM (odd, but one of the family members stayed home from work that day, they were to call just before arriving). They never showed up or called?? We called LG and questioned why and rescheduled for yesterday. Again no one showed up!! I called last night (on the phone for 1 hour and 10 minutes). The end result was they would credit our Visa and we could call a service repair shop ourselves (has to be LG trained) and get it fixed ourselves!!! Life is Good.

Bought the washer and dryer in August 2011 (washer is WaveForce top loader)
Bought the washer and dryer in August 2011 (washer is WaveForce top loader). At first I loved it! I have 2 small kids and a dog so I wash a load daily at least. Got the software update notice so had that done. Noticed I would get the uE or UE code fairly often after that. Then one day no matter what setting I used it would get to the rinse cycle and never put water in it, wouldnt dispense my fabric softener, and just flash 22 min and then after a while stop and give me the UE code. So then I have to stop the unit, choose rinse/spin and then the fabric softener will be dispensed. Then when that is done, my clothes are still way too wet, so I have to choose spin only to try to get more water out. Sometimes I run it a few times and its still too wet. Called LG several times, downloaded the app to figure out what was wrong. Couldnt figure it out. Finally had LG repair place come to figure out whats wrong. $50 later I was told I need a new main board. So today 12-12-14 I had the repair guy out and he replaced the board. He ran his test washes (with an empty washer mind you) and it seemed fine. He left and I needed to wash what I had let pile up some because I knew it would be fixed...first load a light blanket. Washed it a hundred times before. Washer gave me same error codes at the same time. I called the company and was told service guy is out still. I called the cell phone of the service guy because he called when he arrived and left 2 vms and no reply back. Called LG to complain and am so tired of some idiot overseas talking in circles from a manual!!! So it was $190 today and its been almost 5 hours since they left and I just started a smaller load #3. I have 10 people that will be here over holiday and this is what I have to worry about! Towels and clothes starting to have a weird smell. They arent getting clean or spun out enough. And when I cant spin enough water it makes my dryer work harder. Thats next I bet. Worst experience with LG. Wish I wouldve seen this before. I always assumed LG was good. Never, ever, ever again!! Buyer beware!

I bought a refrigerator with an LG compressor in it in September of 2016. Two days ago it stopped working. I looked at the warranty, parts are covered for 1 year and the compressor is covered for 10 years. After I had a tech out to look at the problem the total cost to repair the fridge was $850 which included a free compressor that was covered under the warranty. The issue was all of the other parts that were damaged by the oil leaking out of the faulty compressor are not covered under the parts warranty. This is a total scam by LG who made inferior products. The tech told me the replacement would be the compressor that just broke and I would be back in the same spot 2-3 years from now. Does LG think 2-3 year for a refrigerator is a normal life span??

I needed a fridge at the time it seemed like it was it the best quality fridge out there for the initial price so I really cant complain. It really does run well and efficient. The ice machine is my favorite part. Also the fact that it is a stainless steel appliance means it is easy to clean and just be wiped off for a fast and easy finish. Its an ok fridge all around but the cons would be it smudges easily. I have kids so that is a big concern with me since I dont want people coming over to my house and seeing a dirty fridge people would think Im a slob who doesnt clean my own house. Also the ice machine can be pretty loud but all around its an ok fridge so I dont have any major complaints.

We purchased LG french door refrigerator LFXS29626W from Home Depot on 11/17/15 for over $2000. We loved the refrigerator until 9/14/18 when we discovered the refrigerator was not cooling, the ice maker not working, the freezer not working, and food in the freezer thawed. My husband spent many hours on the phone, only to find nobody willing to service LG refrigerators. Upon reviewing the horror stories experienced by very, very many other owners of LG refrigerators, we decided to simply cut our losses and purchased a new Kitchen Aid refrigerator from a local family owned store. Our over $2000, less than 3 year old LG refrigerator will be going to the recycler. It is most disappointing to see LG show such lack respect for their customers who have spent their hard earned money on this product. It seems apparent from all the reviews that LG has known for sometime that their product was defective, but where is their effort for correction. We will not ever purchase another LG product again and have advised everyone we know of our experience.

Purchased an LG LMV1813ST/02 microwave on 26 June 2013 for about $250. This over the stove model stopped heating on 9 Nov 2015. The warranty was 1 year, except magnetron that was 10 years. Contacted LG and went through steps to restart MV. Was then told it needed a tech to repair it. I was given two local authorized LG shops. One did not work on microwaves, and the other wanted a bench charge of $95 plus parts and labor to fix it even though I dismounted it and brought it to their facility! It is almost cheaper to buy another microwave. I equipped my home with all LG products. I hope they did a better job on the washer, dryer, dishwasher, and stove. I am sorry I went with LG.

I called the LG Customer Services but there was not any polite help. They passed the problem to a third party engineer company to sort the problem out (I do not think LG has their own technical unit). On two occasions the third party engineer company visited my house but still the water dispenser was not working. Also when the engineer company visited my house they have given a whole day appointment as they do not give time slots. Happy with the way it performs. It is just every year, this being year 4, I have had to have a service technician come out and replace the whole pump assembly. The dishwasher starts squealing during the whole wash cycle. Not much at first, but after about a month of running almost everyday, it goes to constant. The noise is quite annoying. Like I said today is the 4th time I am having service for this issue. Thank goodness they offer the extended warranty. I will keep purchasing as long as they offer it. But seriously after purchasing a 800 dishwasher, I am still spending 100 for the extended warranty every year.

I purchased my range in 2009. Near the end of the warranty, my oven stopped working. I called to have it repaired and it was repaired under the warranty. February of 2013, the oven stopped working again! I bake a lot so was upset I had to get it repaired again. We live in a small town and it is hard to get repairs done. After phoning around, I found out that the range had a recall on it in 2012! Why were letters not sent out? It took three months to finally get it repaired. Yesterday, November 6th, the oven doesnt work again! I called the recall line and had to fax the bill of sale to them. As of now, I havent heard back. I told them I would just like to get a new range so I dont keep having problems with this range because I bake a lot. The person I talked with said I probably wouldnt get the full value for the range, if they dont repair it again. I cant go without an oven for another 3 months. After the third breakdown, they should just replace the stove.

LG Counter Microwave 1260SW/1260SB - After three years of use, not daily, there was burning smell coming out of the side vent and a grinding sound inside. I contacted LG and they said it sounded like the magnetron. LG said it sounded like the magnetron, which was covered under a 10-year warranty and then referred a local repair shop. We took it in. They charged us $50 for a diagnostic test and $46.02 for labor for the magnetron. Two days later, we brought it home and the situation was worse than when we took it in. Back to the repair shop we went and the shop called saying it was the fan motor. Well, they wanted another $50 for labor and parts. After refusing to pay any more labor costs, they fixed it. The only parts were for a stirrer motor and stirrer support and another $26. We got it home, plugged it in, and turned it on. Inside lit up like a neon light and it started sparking. Light was so bright and sparks so bad, my husband and I thought it was going to blow up. Back to the shop it went. They put a container of water inside, no sparks or excessive lighting happened, so they deemed it fixed. I refuse to use it. We paid almost as much in repair bills as we did in purchasing it. As much as I loved the horseshoe design inside the microwave, this was just too much hassle, expensive and time consuming to repair. I had also contacted two other small appliance places to see if we were being ripped off. Both told me they refuse to work on LG small appliances. They either couldnt get the parts or it took a week or more to get them in, inconveniencing their customers. No more LG appliances for us.

Bought this top of line refrigerator about 5 yrs ago. Had no problems until May 1, 2017. The compressor went out. It is now June 30 and I still am without a working refrigerator. When I called for repair LG recommended the Premium Repair Service Plan saying for $338 it would cover the cost of repair no matter what the issue. They then set up an appointment for repair. The repairman said he needed to order the compressor. Thats when the run around began. First the repairman had to get authorization just to order the part. Excuse me!! This was the authorized repairman that they sent out. Whats with them needing to authorize this? It took a week to get authorization. Then it was ordered. It is now going on 2 months and there is not even an estimated time of arrival for this part. I have called LG who then tells me So sorry for the inconvenience but the part is ordered. It will be 3-5 days. I call them after 7 days only to be given the same spiel. I call the repairman who says same thing. I am getting nowhere with either of them. I wrote to LG explaining the problem as I dont get anywhere with them on the phone, only to have them say they are sorry for the inconvenience but it is Assurance, the company that they contracted with for better service options, that I need to be in touch with. However Assurance tells me that it is LG that is the problem because they have to use LG parts in keeping with the warranty. So I am stuck with no refrigerator while LG took my money for nothing so far. As we all can see this company doesnt seem to be concerned with keeping customers as its customer service sucks and they dont care. I dont know what its going to take to get them to help us. Maybe a huge class action will get their attention.

Worst. Dishwasher. Ever. The tines collapse. The tines are too short and spaced poorly so the plates flop over and dont get clean. Dishes chip. The dishwasher rack derails because the rack is a little too narrow and the rollers arent wide enough to stay on the rail. It derails constantly. Then I have to try to lug a heavy rack back onto the rails and then it derails in the other direction. Detergent door doesnt click into place. Dishes often do not get clean. Purple plastic pieces holding the adjustable tines pop off and rows of tines fall into the dishwasher bottom. The pump has failed 4 or 5 times in 3 years, either blocked or defective. I made repeated, polite complaints to the company when problems persisted past the warranty period. LG DOESNT BACK THEIR PRODUCT! I paid $899 and Im replacing it with a Bosch that costs half of that. I hate this dishwasher! No, I really hate this dishwasher! (It gets one star because I cant give it negative 5 stars.)

LG Range #LRE30453ST - Never used convection oven. Good thing after reading others. Hardly used oven and it stopped heating. Service tech replaced control and it worked twice and stopped heating again. Now says needs new control panel which tech says they no longer make and this problem was a recall. He said they will either replace with new range or pay me. I call LG and they say they do still make the part but it is on 2-3 week back order and cant tell me if it is different than the one I had that was recalled for design problems. So if I ever go get the new panel, what assurances do I have that it wont happen again? None. This range is a problem and the company should be taking better steps to resolve. Does anyone know if there is a class action suit going on this? I will NEVER buy LG again. Right now my whole kitchen is LG. NEVER AGAIN! Do not buy..... I rate them zero stars but you require at least one to submit so let that be minus one.

I purchased an LG refrigerator. After about 1 1/2 year, the fuse blows. Now you would expect to just replace the fuse, but no. The design of the fridge is that you have to replace the entire circuit board costing hundreds. I dont know why, but I decided to do a little research. I went to YouTube and found a video of how to replace a fuse bypass circuit avoiding a big cost. My fiance and myself did this. Total cost is around $25.00 (gotcha LG) and we have no experience. If you can follow directions, turn the power off to the fridge, of course, and use your own judgement. I would do so again. Why do we think they fix it to where you cant pay to have a fuse replaced (which I have never heard of going out on a refrigerator that fast anyway)? So that maybe a company can makes lots of money by replacing the entire boards instead of just a $1 or $2 fuse. Just want everyone to know and to the person who did the YouTube video, thank you so much! And to LG, no thanks. I will not buy another LG product (lifes good). Life would be better without defective appliances.

The saga of the LG refrigerator: 11 months ago we bought an LG refrigerator
The saga of the LG refrigerator: 11 months ago we bought an LG refrigerator. When we came back to town the refrigerator had broken and everything in freezer was defrosted. We had to throw away hundreds of dollars of food. We contacted Costco concierge who contacted LG. This is where the fun begins: LG referred us to a repair company that had gone out of business, but we were told we had to wait 48 hours for them to contact us. Then we were given the name of another company several hours away from us who called us right back stated that a part had to be ordered and received before they could fix it. This was done without ever evaluating the problem. When the part arrived several days later, we were told we now had to wait several more days before someone could come out and install it. After the part was installed, we were told to let them know if the refrigerator hadnt cooled by the next day. It had not. They need several more days before a repair person could be scheduled to come back. The person came back and was not qualified to fix the problem - LG had referred us to a company that was not qualified to do repairs! After 6 hours on hold over two days between Costco concierge, LG customer service, and LG resolution department, I asked for a new refrigerator because we were told the next repair company could not come out to even look at the refrigerator for another week! In the mean time we are living out of a cooler trying to keep my husband fed with a special diet to deal with his throat cancer. I was assured by someone in the Resolutions department that our request was expedited, but it was not. We are now told that they have a week to decide whether to give us a new refrigerator or continue to draw out repair on the current one after initially telling us we would hear by the next day. When calling again today, the date given by LG of when they will respond has been moved back yet again. So that 3 weeks out we still are no closer to a repair.

Our family purchased a LG refrigerator four years ago. The refrigerator retailed for two thousand dollars. We started to have problems with the unit after two years with ice build-up on the back. After contacting LG they told us to defrost the fridge. We did that every four months as needed. Now after just four years we woke up to the refrigerator at forty degrees and everything melted in the freezer and now all the food has gone bad. The last refrigerator we owned lasted fourteen years when we gave it to our son still working. Today we spent literally five hours on the phone with service and tech dept. until I wanted to cry in frustration. I never have been through anything like this in the sixty years I have been buying appliances. I cant believe I chose this experience when shopping for a home appliance. But still do not think this is right in any way.

I have only owned it for two years but Im very happy... it was a gift so I did not have an opportunity to shop for it. But I believe in the integrity of the LG brand over some of the other offerings. I have been happy with the design of the stainless steel unit and how it blends in to my kitchen with other stainless steel appliances. I enjoyed the design of the refrigerator freezer and its many compliments. The deli drawer perfect for small items like yogurt containers and cheese and deli. Had to rearrange the shelving to allow for taller items like milk, juice, ice tea etc. though. I would also improve the freezer compartments with additional shelving.

I bought a top loading washing machine (no agitator in November 2013). The first week I washed a pillow and it shredded it and any towels to pieces. I called Home Depot and they said I had to deal with LG. A repair person came out and determined that the plastic rim around tub needed to be replaced. I wanted LG to replace my washer and they said NO. They told me that I had to have repair people out 3 times for same issue before they would consider replacing it. The plastic rim got replaced and the washer continued to shred clothes. The next repair person came out and found sharp edges in bottom of tub that have been ripping clothes. He then contacts LG and they say that this not covered under warranty. The repair will cost $800 (which is more than I paid for the washer!). The repair guy told me to only wash clothes on Bulky bedding setting so that clothes will less likely shred because it uses the most water. The following month I had a loss in the family and gave up trying to deal with LG. So for the past 4 years I have been using this washer only on Bulky bedding setting and throwing out a piece of shredded clothing about every other wash. The washer never cleans well, my whites are always dull and makeup never washes out of washcloths. The top latch also broke and I have to hold the lid down for a while before it will start. For past two weeks I have been getting a an error message that my brother who works on washing machines could not fix. It will not drain/spin. My brother took the back of the washer off to see if he could help and there was tons of pillow stuffing and shredded clothing pieces from the very first week of having this machine! LG says all repairs are up to me and there is nothing they can do. I will NEVER buy anything LG again!

LDG4313ST Gas Range - Since buying this range in December we have had 3 major problems. 1. Finish on bottom panel peeling off. 2. Convection oven making a loud noise, spewing soot, and setting off our carbon monoxide alarm. 3. Oven temperature varies hugely. I contacted LG the first time letting them know I read the owners manual I was given and saw nothing about foil placed on the bottom to catch drips. I make an apple pie during the holidays and for years I have always put foil on the bottom of whatever range I was using to catch the drips. Never had a problem before. Got a form letter saying that though placing foil on the bottom was a common practice that in THEIR ranges you could not. I further investigated their manual and found something in troubleshooting about it. By then, it was too late. The form letter gave no information about how to get a replacement panel. Poor customer service number one.The first time I tried to use the convection oven it smelled weird and then set off the carbon monoxide detector. I found soot on the front glass door. I entered another complaint. This time they sent out a service person. He called them and turns out this is a known problem. The oxygen/gas mix is too rich. So we have been waiting for over a month for the mod. I call appliance company. They say its back ordered with no known date for coming in. I also have them order the base panel. They got the part number. 50 bucks. Irked me, but figured at that point it wasnt that much, I would pay for it.After a long 40 minutes on hold to get to customer service at LG I was first told the mod was back ordered. Then I was told that it was the base plate that was back ordered and they could get the mod part within 3 or 4 days. I said, Fine, fix the dang convection oven so I can use it. Even though there are only 2 screws to install, they say base plate must be put in by a tech. They confirm they wont pay for it, even though we have been waiting a month to even get any news about parts.THEN, this weekend I attempted to bake a cake. I have noticed some issues with cookies, but managed. The cake rose as it should in the middle and then fell by the time I looked again. I checked the temperature and according to the panel, (I shut off and then turned back on to see what temp it thought it was) it was down to 250 when I had it set at 350!!! What the heck!!! I then checked the complaints on LG stoves and many people have problems with widely varying temperatures. LG has refused to allow techs to replace the control boards saying this is how they operate!!! They have come up with lots of excuses with customers. At this point, I have no intention of calling them back. I am copying all the complaints about their ranges and going to see if I can get Home Depot to take it back. Its a piece of junk. If they wont take it back, then I will start with LG. I want a refund. I do NOT want another stove from them. I will never again buy another LG product. They have awful customer service and dont seem to give a crap about the fact their products dont perform as they should. One positive note. The melting knob problem is fixed on this model. Only if the ranges worked.

We purchased a microhood at Menards on 04/16/2016. It was to replace a GE microwave which had been over the stove for a number of years. This LG microhood worked for 3 weeks and when I put vegetables in to reheat one day it just didnt heat. I talked to Menards and they said it was up to me to contact LG warranty issues. Trying to understand foreigners is extremely aggravating. Why doesnt anyone keep the jobs in the USA anymore? He had me unplug the microhood to reset it and when that didnt work, tried to find someone to repair it. He was unsuccessful finding a business to work on this product. So now I am stuck waiting for repair scheduling to contact me in a number of days. I need this microwave now! As far as I am concerned this company no longer exists. I am looking at having to purchase a new washer and kitchen range within the next little while and it will not be an LG. My husband works at a car manufacturer where hundreds of people work and we are going to make sure other employees are forewarned about this company. We certainly never expected to get less than a months use from an LG product.

Purchased a matching LG washer and dryer (Front load washer model WM3670HVA) including pedestal bases for both from JCPenney in July of 2017. All was well until; Dec. 7 when we heard a loud banging noise coming from our laundry room. The washing machine drum was hitting the back and front of the washer so violently that I thought it would break the door. I immediately shut down the washer and rebalance the load. The same thing happened when I restarted the washer. Every time the machine went into the spin cycle the drum would hit the front and back of the machine with such force that we thought it would crack the door. The load in question was towels and wash cloths. After we removed the towels we tried it with a lighter load, tee shirts and underwear, same thing happened again on the spin cycle.I called LG and reported the problem that day. They stated they would have their service vendor call me. Never received a call. Four days later I call again and get the same answer. Still no call. Called JCPenney to report the problem and they tried calling LG with no luck. The appliance manager told me that LG service actually hung up on her. Today is 12/18 and I placed my third or fourth phone call to LG. Guess what, I get the same answer stay by the phone someone will call. I ask to speak to a supervisor and she repeats what each of the service reps said, Youll get a call from the center tomorrow. Twelve days and I have a broken down washing machine and still no call from LG warranty service. Never again will I buy an LG product if this is the way they handle their warranties. What are my options???Updated on 03/17/2018: Today is March 17, 2018 and LG warranty service still has not repaired the washer described below. My advice to any consumer thinking of buying a LG appliance is DONT. If you dont believe this review simply read all the other reviews that have been submitted and you will be educated to the fact that when needed, LG Service and their warranties may not be there for you. In my opinion they are the worse of the worst. I am 76 years old and the process of seeking warranty support from LG has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. Yesterday I spoke to LG for about the 15th time and they outright lied to me again saying they finally had a repair service to look at the washer. I immediately call the repair service and they tell me that they did not accept the work order and LG does this to them all the time. Shame on LG when they wont help consumers get what they are entitled to. Tells you something about their product and their Corporate attitudes. Ill keep fighting with LG but future consumers should heed the warning BUYER BEWARE.

I bought a French Door refrigerator in June of 2016. It completely stopped cooling in August of 2018. Called LG who sent me through some basic troubleshooting and gave me phone numbers to technicians that arent helpful. One sound sketchy (answers the phone Hello) and insisted I make an appointment thru a non-existent website or send an email to his Gmail. One said they wont service my town. One has yet to call me back. I called a reputable but non-LG-authorized repair service who said it would cost $1,200 for a new compressor and I would have to deal with LG myself (I think to buy the compressor). Given the reviews about back ordered parts, and lack of authorized techs, Im left to wonder how long I wait for the other technician to call me back, argue in vain with LG or just buy a new refrigerator. Very open to joining a class action lawsuit. I certainly dont make enough money to replace expensive items every two years. Reading up on refrigerators, old fashioned top freezer refrigerators are a whole lot cheaper and fail less often.

The refrigerator had a whole lot of space inside of it. I mean I could always fit two or three gallon milk jugs in there. It also was really quiet so you could never hear it like some of the older less efficient refrigerators out there. But to improve the refrigerator I would add water filters and a water dispenser. I would also add more freezer space because people freeze a lot of things like meats. Also, I would give it Bluetooth capability with a tv screen next to the water dispenser. Otherwise LG has indeed met my expectations. When they show off they really know how to make appliances look good. I think what they do and what they are good at is keeping things simple. Sometimes, these other brands have too much going on that it just doesnt do it for most people.

I called for service when I realized my freezer/refrigerator was failing and instead of having service immediately available which could have saved my perishables, it took over a week to get repairs. The repairs consisted of an inspection, ordering of parts and finally the actual repair. Meanwhile, hundreds of dollars worth of food all had to be thrown away. The loss of food compensation based on the size of my refrigerator (24.5 cu ft) was $150. Ridiculous. One health supplement alone was $40, not to mention the custom (and very expensive) food I was storing for my dog who is slowly dying from kidney disease. This was my second LG refrigerator and it will, unfortunately be my last. I have a 2-1/2 year old LG french door, bottom freezer refrigerator that I purchased from Sears for $3,000. While on vacation, the entire unit stopped cooling. Called Sears to service. Because it was a sealed system issue, LG covered parts but not labor. 4 visits, $480 later, and 4 WEEKS WITHOUT A WORKING REFRIGERATOR, the unit is still not working. The compressor was replaced, the evaporator was replaced, the dryer value was replaced, as well as 2 valve assemblies.I call LG and they tell me I need another repair company to look at it. I pay another $100 for them to tell me they think it needs another compressor which will cost me another $300 and there is no guarantee that will fix the problem. Unit still isnt cooling, freon is low, and you can hear the freon now gurgling loudly through the unit. I have called LG at least a dozen times. Lucky if you can get someone who speaks English that is understandable. My question to them was, will they deem it a lemon and offer me a buyout or replacement if compressor doesnt fix the problem. They cannot give me an answer. So now I paid $3,000 for this refrigerator, close to $600 already in labor charges trying to fix it and it still does not work and LG will continue to allow this nightmare to continue until God knows when. I am wheeling this piece of crap to the curb and cutting my losses which is EXACTLY what LG wants. You win LG! It is currently 90 degrees where I live and since I am at risk have limited my grocery shopping to every 2-3 weeks. Lucky for me I had just gone grocery shopping. How about sending anyone out sooner....We will call in 24-48 hours.Get a call and now I am being told my new appointment date is 5/19/20. Call back since it is ridiculous to wait 3 weeks to get a known problem fixed. Ask about reimbursement for me purchasing a new fridge….nope. Ask if I can get my grocery reimbursement if I buy a new fridge....nope. All I can say is WOW, really hoped my experience would have been not like I read in other reviews but I guess not. Here is to a waste of a fridge and a horrible customer service experience.

Purchased an LG microwave, refrigerator and range 2 years ago. In the first 24 hours the condenser went out on refrigerator, had to wait 4 months for replacement due to back orders. Then 3 months ago the range start button decided to die (which controls clock and oven). Paid 100.00 for a repairman to tell me I would need a new motherboard for one button, which would cost over 450.00. Of course, I called customer service and went back and forth for 1 month to be told, sorry it is 2 years old. Well, I guess they only make appliances to last a minimal amount of time. Last week, I opened the microwave and the ???? vent fell off in my hands. Run to American made, these are junk!!!

I have an LG dishwasher, purchased in October 2013. During many cycles, it whistles for minutes and minutes. I had a service guy come out, but the problem couldnt be reproduced. Its quite annoying and can be heard over the TV. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what did you do? Thanks.

I love LG products. The microwave works and looks great. I just dont understand why they have to charge so much money for them. I wouldnt recommend buying an LG product right away when it comes out. Wait for them to go on sale. Youll be glad you did.

Purchased appliances 4 years ago and since have had several issues which are no longer covered by the 1 year warranty. Refrigerator: The rubber that goes around the refrigerator doors ripped several years after purchase. Gas Range LRG30357ST: plastic covering on the inserts of the burner knobs are faulty. You cannot purchase the plastic insert and each knob is $63.60. Initially, my husband kept switching knobs, and now three of them are broken. Reading the other postings, I realize I am not alone in my complaint. I contacted LG service department and was told no recalls. Sounds like this is a consistent issue which LG is choosing to ignore. I am very dissatisfied and this will be my last LG purchases!!!

Tonight we set our dishwasher to run as always while we sleep. Well it was a good thing I didnt fall asleep right away because my LG dishwasher control panel shorted out and caught fire, and it didnt even trip the breaker. Hopefully thats because I got to it first. We have had nothing but trouble with it over the seven plus years we owned it. It has been completely rebuilt at least three times. It has always had a foul smell to it when it ran.

I bought a 4 door LG refrigerator. Its a French door on top with 2 freeze drawers in the bottom. I paid about $50 more to get a counter depth which is fantastic for the space in my modular home with an air vent in front of the space. This model has plenty of space in the refrigerator compartment. It looks like changing the water filter will be easy and convenient. It does have a drawer at the bottom which is nice but it would have been a better design if it would slide out when only one door is open on the refrigerator. You have to have both doors open to utilize the space. The same with the right side drawer that holds produce. You cant get it open all the way before the left edge hits the center strip of the left side French door. I have only had it a month so will have to do another review after 5 years. This LG is a replacement for a 4 1/2 year Samsung that had constant problems with the ice maker freezing up.. I Will never buy Samsung products again. Their Customer Service is atrocious.

Updated on 05/18/2020: In a previous post, I reported my washer disaster. A week ago, I heard from LG (Louis) indicating they would provide a new washer in 5-7 days and was asked for proof of purchase etc. I provided that info. Since that time, no contact from LG and they never provided me with contact information. So I sit waiting for them to contact me or reply once again through Consumer Affairs. LG, if you are reading this, please contact me.Original review: After 7 years of mostly uneventful washing experience, my machine suddenly blew apart. My machine was running through a spin cycle and suddenly, there were loud crashing and banging noises, the machine flew across the floor approximately 2 1/2 - 3 feet and the door blew open. The tub appears to have come loose, smashed into the front and sides of the machine. The front of the machine has large protruding dents, the side handles were blown out and the side dented, and small parts flew out. The door wont even close because of the large protruding dents. Thank goodness that we were not in the laundry room as we would have sustained injuries for sure. I am aghast at the force and danger that this machine caused.

I have owned an LG refrigerator for five years, and have now had 3 times where it stopped sufficiently cooling due to a well known issue with the compressor and other internal components. There is even a class action lawsuit that covers numerous models. Part of the class-action lawsuit requires them to extend the warranty up to 5 years. Since I am now about 7 months past that 5 years warranty, LG will cover the parts to repair, but not the labor. Since the repair is quite involved, it is expensive and therefore not worth it, especially since this would have been the THIRD time to replace the compressor and other parts, and there is no guarantee it would be a durable repair. If the third failure of the compressor had happened just 7 months earlier, I would have been entitled, per the terms of the settlement, to compensation. I realize at this point LG is not obligated to do anything beyond the terms of the class action settlement, but it is infuriating to me that a company would produce a product like this, need to have a class action lawsuit to do right by its customers, and seems content to leave me with a product they know is faulty and refuse to take responsibility based essentially on a technicality. Its disgraceful. Avoid LG products. This is a nightmare.

I also purchased the LG French Door Refrigerator Model LMXS27626 in Feb. 2017. The compressor went out on 6/25/19. We have experienced all of the same problems (Ie; hundreds of dollars in lost food, 4 days total off of work, multiple phone calls, living out of coolers, waiting weeks for an A&E repair person). All without prevail. We DID have an appointment this morning to finally have the compressor put in, however the repairman ordered it a couple of weeks ago and the wrong model number was delivered to us. He said he would have to re-order the correct one and the soonest he can come back is in 2 weeks 7/25/19. The whole experience has been exhausting and miserable for my family of 7! It is mind blowing that LG would continue to sell these refrigerators. I personally thought I was in this hell alone. Im am petrified once the compressor gets replaced (if that ever happens) that it will go bad in 6 month, 1 year, etc. LGs new logo should be: LING! LING=Life Is Not Good!

On 9-27-13 bought microwave oven model lcrt201st. Have 7 months it would trip surge strip shut off completely. I warm my coffee for 70 seconds but it would shut off after 30 seconds. I like my coffee hot. It kept doing this so I called LG support. Was told malfunction in keypad and to take it back where I bought it. I DID this on 4-23-15, model # same. All ok till today 7-17-15 it DID it again. I again called LG support and was told I would have to take it to one of their service centers all pa, North Jersey, Delaware. I shouldnt have to drive around the world to get a problem solved. I am not getting another LG product. I was told I can take to Best Buy and they will give me a new one. Ok but then in 3 to 7 months IM going to go thru this again. No way.

We purchased this oven in February 2016 years ago and it stopped working properly several months ago. Now the oven temperature does not get hot enough even when raising higher than the normal range. We cant bake anything properly with it because at best, it takes twice as long. Also, this oven has never been easy to clean as advertised. We have found that we have to work just as hard as we did with our older models, and with chemicals to get it clean. It has been a discouraging experience to have purchased a model that was a supposed upgrade only to have it not working in less than 2.5 years. Unfortunately, the warranty was only for 1 year and we did not purchase an extension.

DO NOT, DO NOT ever buy an LG washing machine as ours is two years old and I have to spin dry one towel at the time while the rest of the wet towels are in the sink waiting. LG executive, Tyree, told me they would send a service person which they never did, however. Lowes, where we bought the machine has given us an appointment with an LG technician. This machine was $650 and has never worked correctly and this is LGs second service in a year. When the warranty runs out in 3 years, I will get rid of this piece of junk and buy a cheap washer and hope to keep it like I did my last one that lasted 25 years. LG does not need to be in the business of washing machine and whoever designed them needs to be fired and they need to give all of us a replacement. Ill never buy anything by LG as our new $750 TV would stop working from time to time and my son in law took off the back and tightened all the leads and it works fine, now. Now, why would you sell a tv with loose leads? LG is a worthless company!!!

Placed 1/2 load of towels in washer, started machine, then went shopping. Upon return washer door was open, water was pouring out of the door, and the towels were all over the floor. Apparently, this happened soon after we left because the washroom was flooded, the hallway was flooded, the bedroom was flooded, and the basement had the equivalent of an inch of water everywhere, it had even streamed into the garage through the wall from the washroom. After calling LG we were told the machine was out of warranty and to call an LG repairman. He was not available for two weeks. After performing extensive diagnostics in conjunction with LG tech support, he was advised that the machine checked out in all respects, but that LG recommended replacing the main board and both inlet valves at a cost for parts of over $500 plus labor. We could use the machine, but recommended that we not leave the house. We have had a number of repairs to the machine for the door not locking and have expensive switches replaced. Over $500 in repairs in the first two years. Now the machine is 4 years old and they want more money (see above) for repairs. Consumer Reports currently rates LG as the top front loader. We cannot understand how this can be an honest report, because our experience with these products and with LG has been abysmal. We noticed that on searching for LG washer problems, we came across three other reports under Consumer Reviews describing exactly our problem. LG told its repairman they had no other reports of such a problem, which obviously was a direct lie since we found three on our first search. Our order number on this machine from Home Depot is ** It was paid for on 6/22/11, and delivered on 6/28/11.

Absolute junk. Has not worked right since day one. Cooling problems and error codes since new. 2014 by the way. More than a half dozen repair calls and still not fixed. Now out of warranty and last service technician says its the main wire harness. Called LG service. Horrible. Besides arguing that the fridge is out of warranty. Then tells me the wiring cant be replaced anyway. Now stuck with a shiny $2700 lawn ornament. Stay away from LG. Back to using my 15 year old Frigidaire apartment fridge until I can afford to buy a new one. There will never be another LG or LG-affiliated product in my house again.

On a 7 month old side by side LG refrigerator I have had 5 service calls in the last month and am again waiting for a service call. The first problem was the unit would no defrost properly so they put in a new computer board and then ask ME to take a hair dryer and defrost the unit (Only took 5 hours), then the next 4 calls concern the ice maker,,, I have had two new ice makers installed and neither work. When I finally got to talk to Theresa (a corporate supervisor) at 10AM I was told that I do not qualify for a new refrigerator and that I needed to call back tomorrow to schedule an appointment for repairs. (REALLY) I need to call back. I could not believe her. I have no had ice for three weeks and have now turned it over to Home Depot to resolve. Never Buy LG Products because their customer service does not exist...

LG Washer/Dryer unit. Noticed water on floor, thought it was the washer. Repairman identified water coming from dryer. He was not able to fix the problem. Might add, weve passed the one yr. warranty and didnt purchase an extended warranty thinking back over 50 yrs of never having to call a W/D repair person. After some personal research discovered the water drain was not connected to the proper reservoir. Never saw a drop of water in the prescribed reservoir which means it was never properly installed at the factory or whatever reason LG can figure who to blame. Theyve given me some repair phone #s. None service our area. Discovered that they have a very narrow presence for repair people. This is a BUYER BEWARE of LG. No service, poor and rude customer service and a phone number with a broken answering string. In the meantime, LG has a duty and a responsibility to mitigate all damages and the Consumer Affairs Division of the State of California needs to look into a company that sells their products without providing a reasonable method of getting repair service. Their star deserves a huge Zero. I bought both items at Home Depot and they could not give me a repair person for LG. Right now were stuck with having an expensive dryer that doesnt work. Carting a basket of wet laundry to dry outside is a huge inconvenience for an 80 yr. old.
