After buying LG refrigerator within 7 months the upper freezing compartment stopped working. After the complaint technician came made it work. But again after 9 months faced same issue. Then again technician did resolved it. At the second visit I asked the technician to make sure this should not happen again if it does give me a replacement. But again after 11 months it again freezing was not happening. So again I raised a complain but as the 1 warranty was going to they stopped responding. After 12 months when 1 year free service expired the call center executive without listening to the issue just telling that I will be charged and when I started explained previous complain they started hanging up phone on me. LG service really ridiculous. They dont treat customers well. If this is a case I would say Please dont buy their product.

We bought our LG in 2007 and had repairs on it 4 times in the first year. We replaced the icemaker, duct, fan, PC board, heater sheath, controller assembly, and had them resealed (it had duct tape to help seal!). We contacted Home Depot who said if it failed again, then they would work with us on replacing the fridge. We bought an extended warranty and of course, never had to use it. Then last month, the ice dispenser stopped dispensing ice...we took out the bucket and a nut fell out...looks like we need a new ice bucket assembly. After reading all the other problems, I decided to add my complaint about the LG refrigerator. Dont buy it.

I bought my fridge in 2017 and the compressor died in 2021. They came to repaired 4 days after because the technician was nice enough to move my appt earlier, they told me that they could gave me food compensation. I called them after the fridge was repaired and first the way that the customer service handle this cases are terrible, LG subcontract this phone calls to another country I would say INDIA and is very hard to understand them, then they start this process with text messages with questions and I just got one text, I never got the following question. I called them several times and the last time I called the customer service helped me, she never advised that she was going to send this claim manually. She told me that somebody would contact me to see if I was agree with the food compensation, next thing I know I received $100 check in the mail for a whole fridge food loss, I called them and I spoke with the supervisor Ann, she was very rude and reiterated times told me that my warranty expired and LG was nice enough to repair my fridge and they don’t do food losses that they sent me $100 dollar check because they were nice, she told me that there is nothing I can do because the check was issued. They never told me that if an agent do this manually automatically they issued $100 and don’t review my case just send $100. Be aware. Never submit your food loss claim manually. They will send you $100 check. They kept telling me that LG don’t send food losses claim. That if they sent me money is because they were nice and because I have my fridge bad for 5 days $100 was enough. I lost a full fridge and what it hurts me the most I lost 100 bags of breastmilk for my baby because of this. I can’t believe they got to decide how much they can give and they don’t live even in U.S. They told me that there is nothing I can do and LG won’t send more. This fridge is in a lawsuit that is why they do food compensation and also they extended the warranty. LG customer service is the worse. Case # **

I am writing this letter because my mom who lives with a terminal illness has been without a fridge for nine days. Neither the fridge nor freezer works. This isnt the first time. She went without a fridge for a week before this a month ago. She recently purchased this fridge in October of 2012. We were told to go buy or ask a neighbor for a cooler to put our food in. We live in a very small town, and it is difficult to eat out all the time. We have been losing out hundreds of dollars with the food going spoiled. In addition, I am working all day, and my mom is without food. The first guy who came to fix the fridge brought a hair dryer. The second guy said he only ordered the part for the freezer and not the fridge even though we told him that neither worked. When my mom called the appliance company to see how soon the part was coming in and asked if she could get the part number, the manager said he did not have to tell her that and spoke very rudely. Then when she asked when the technician was coming out, the manager told her the technician would be in court all day. My mom isnt able to speak well as her muscles are going out. She also noticed a scratch on her fridge that was done by the technicians. The appliance company said they had nothing to do with that as did LG when we called. Therefore, I called and spoke with the supervisor and filed a formal complaint hoping someone will hear our frustrations. The supervisor was helpful and did as much as he could, which was to see when the part would come in. However, the manager of the appliance company said he was on the road and couldnt give the information right there and then. That is understandable, but I dont understand why it is taking so long to get a part in. Can the part not be delivered in 1 or 2 business days? We paid over $1200 for this fridge. I dont understand the customer service. The appliance company has been rude and LG has not been able to do much. I understand there is a process for everything, but this has become too much. What are we to do? My mom is stressed with having a terminal illness and her husband passing away recently. Can you please fix this situation? I have sent this through the post office with urgency hoping that you can address the situation.

I have been married for 40 years with four children and countless loads of laundry. Most of my washers and dryers have been maytag and lasted 10-15 years with few if any repairs. This LG top loader is the worst machine I have ever bought. I purposefully did not buy a front loader because of problems with odors I had heard about. Well I guess a top loader can Smell really bad too. I dont understand how in 2016 we dont know how to make a washer that drains properly. This is a lemon and I will be selling it soon and buying a good ol Maytag. I just lost a lot of money on this one. They should recall all their machines until they figure out and fix the problems.

I bought a LG washer and Dryer, paid 2100.00 only to find I bought the worst products ever. I have contacted not only Home Depot but LG directly. I have emailed pictures to LG only to be told I did service my washer machine. How do you service a washer machine for rust? LG notified me to contact Home Depot for them to fix it or just buy spray paint to cover the rust. Home Depot stated it is a defect, that LG needs to repair it if not replace it due to defect product. After making numerous calls, I have come to the point neither stands by their product. This isnt a cosmetic issue. It is called junk defected product. Anyone looking to buy anything from LG dont do it. There is better out there. I will be taking this to every new station, Facebook and etc to get the word out to the public.

The worst appliance I have ever had in 40 years. I have not tried other LG products and Im not compelled to do so. However, Do not!!!!! Do not purchase this product line in a Dishwasher because you will be disappointed to no end. Im not going to fight it. Its not worth my time but I will never deal with this company again. Since the very first time I used this machine I have been so unhappy. I use the he products as specified in the user manual. My clothes come out of the wash dirty smell like mold. I sometimes have to wash some of the clothes by hand just to try to get my clothes clean. When I do wash my clothes by hand I see dirty residue comes from the clothes that I used took out of my high efficiency, expensive brand new washer. All my towels smell moldy. It makes me mad that I gave up an old top load washer machine to try to save some money and to keep up with the times. Now Im paying the price. I had a technician come to my house and he states that there was nothing wrong with the machine. Obviously there is if Im washing my clothes by hand!!! I have read that there are mold issues with this machine. Now my question is, is this mold a danger to my family? Is it going to ruin my expensive washer machine? What is LG going to do for their customers? Im not saving money since I have to wash my clothes several times. I have to buy products to wash the machine itself. I had to go and buy brand new towels because I do not want my family drying themselves with moldy smelling towels, but even that is not working because the new towels are already starting to smell like mold. I am SO disappointed and SO mad that I used my hard earned money on this piece of crap washer machine!!!!!

I recently bought all new kitchen appliances. Ive only had them 3 months. The refrigerator fan was screeching day and night. Called and scheduled a warranty repair and they were supposed to arrive between 10am - 2pm on June 16th. Called back around 3 to ask if they were still coming and was told they would see where they were at and call us back. Still waiting on that repair. Hope nothing else breaks down. The worst experience ever not including the fact that we purchased all on Black Friday and they were not in stick or delivered until mid-Feb. LG, you just lost a couple of very loyal customers.

Eight years ago, I purchased an LG Tromm washer and dryer. I have been very satisfied with my purchase until 9 days ago when the thermal coupler went bad in the dryer, and I have now been waiting for 6 days to have that part replaced. I cannot fault the repair service I am using in my area. They are as frustrated as I am. They, too, are waiting on the part. So here is what I learned...I have had the dryer for 8 years and it performed well and I am pleased with the product; however, what I am not pleased with is that when a repair is needed, there are not any US parts manufacturers for LG. So if the part is not available in the US warehouse, you must wait for them to get the part in, which is the situation I am in at this time. Buyer, beware. The LG appliances are top end and perform well, however, if they need service, you might be better off to buy an American made product by Samsung (i.e. Whirlpool). At least, when those popped together plastic parts break, they are manufactured in the US and you wont have to wait for 7 days! I also own an LG refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and as I said, a washer...Because of my experience with my dryer, I have added to my nightly prayers that they dont need repair because this is past ridiculous. If I would have known that the appliances couldnt be repaired in a timely manner, I would have probably purchased a less well made and certainly cheaper appliance!

I Jaiprakash ** had purchased two product from LG Shoppe situated at Mira Road East, franchise of Malaika Electronic at Sector 1, Shanti Nagar, Mira Road East, Thane. In January, 15, 2015 had purchased three door refrigerator and the complaint is still pending. The reason the LG mira road service centre is ruthless and useless and just want to mint money from the customer by delaying to give service during warranty period and once the warranty period is over, they are free to mint money from the customer. The deep freezer is getting choked with ice and we could see the ice growing like mountain at middle of the deep freezer. The complaint falls to deaf ear and the mail falls to blind eye. No response from the LG service centre, cause they are just waiting when the one year expiry is getting over and when we can mint money.Secondly had purchased LG 10.5 kg washing machine and the dryer is giving problem. The clothes are not fully dried as compared to other brand and the customer service provider informs saying thoda to gila rahega, then how come other brand machine resolves the problem fully and the clothes are dried fully. Not ready to listen about other brand product. Cause it hurts their ego. Almost wasted 67000/- and feel I have been cheated by giving a defective item both end. and the worst part after messaging the senior guy ASM ** he too acts as deaf and blind. So one can understand how junior will react to the customer. Seriously upset with the product and wasted my hard earned money. Dont know whether I have purchased a LG product or a LOW Grade Product. God bless them and give some brain to work with innocent people.

Purchased a LG front load washing machine that has been leaking water for the past 4 months. Machine is still under warranty: 3 different service technicians visited home over 5 times and have been unable to repair the machine. The technicians initially claimed we were using too much detergent, till the last technician found a crack in the discharge hose and replaced it. Unfortunately, that wasnt the only problem as the machine is still leaking, but now worse than before. And now the leak is so bad, it resulted in water damage to our new construction home. Not only that, but the once quiet machine now sounds worse than before and the technician scratched up our unit.I informed LG again but still no result. From the very beginning, I pleaded with them to send a different service company to our home, but LG refused. I talked to customer service reps and even folks in their executive services department to no avail. After the first few visits, I began to ask for LG to replace the unit, again LG refused. After the leak caused water damage, I asked again for LG to replace the unit, but again LG refused. The machine is still under warranty, the service technicians have been unable to repair the unit, but LG still refuses to replace it even though the terms of the warranty indicate that replacement is an option.

I’d seen the LG refrigerator in the store and thought it was the perfect size. I also liked that the ice maker was in the door and not taking up space inside the refrigerator. So, I bought it. But it just stopped cooling and they sent out a tech about six times to fix it. They ordered all of the parts, repaired all of the parts, and it still wasn’t fixed. This issue has been going on for four months and now, they’re refunding me my check. I called yesterday checking on the status of it and they said it’s with claims. So I should receive my refund next week. All in all, I would not recommend this refrigerator.

I like everything about my refrigerator – the style and the features. It had everything that I wanted. That was why I bought it but I will never buy LG anything again. I took out a warranty and tried to deal with LG on that. They sent a service that they use for repair but I went through three months of a freezer and refrigerator that did not work with Jessup’s Major Appliance Centers in Sarasota, Florida. They put in three different compressors and none of them worked. LG knew that they had a problem with the compressors. The repairman had been trying to fix them all over the state of Florida. I was told they were not gonna send their repairman out again after all that. But finally, they said they would come and put one more in. That fourth one finally worked. But they put me through hell. I even had to buy a little refrigerator. Thank God Jessup’s gave me one that I had to put on the carport and go outside to my refrigerator. But that was totally unbelievable customer service.

We just got this machine in last Friday. After doing a few loads over the weekend, I was wondering if there was something wrong. The black control panel is very hard to read! It has gray lettering on a black background. I called LG to see if there was a backlight that wasnt working, and was told that there is no backlight. Seems to me that LG has mad a very basic design error with the panel. It should have white lettering, as do most other machines with this type of panel. This is the worst design I have seen for a gas range. The knobs turn on easily. I first realized this after it had been installed and I told my husband, that could be so dangerous with kids in the home. We have accidentally hit them and turned them on ourselves so to have kids in the home would be awful. Even the older ranges have a safety feature for the knobs so they dont turn so easily. I woke up last night to a house full of gas. The stove had been running gas for at least 5 hours. We live in a multi level condo and the smell had become so strong upstairs that it woke me up.I did read there is a lock out feature by pushing the lower clear/off button down for 3 seconds; however, its a matter of always remembering to do that. I truly believe there should be a case made and there should be a safety recall on these stoves/ranges. Not happy. I will be shopping for something new. Regardless of the cost, whats the cost of our lives! Bad bad design. You would think in this day and age products would be safer than older models. Why then is this one SO dangerous???

After Redoing our house after Hurricane Sandy, I thought I would buy this Top of the line washer and dryer. The dryer is great, no complaints, however, the washing machine (Top-Load Direct Drive) does nothing but force dirty water through the clothes. Even with bleach, I could not get socks or floor washing pads at least clean looking. I despise this washing machine and will not buy another LG product especially from Home Depot. When I called about possibly getting service, they referred me to an Electronics company... Enough said. The electronics company wants to charge $80 to come Look at it. There is mechanically nothing wrong with the machine, it just doesnt work well and honestly, hasnt worked well since day one. This pushing water through the clothes is not effective at all. I would prefer a machine with an agitator but, those are hard to find. This machine is not that old and is not used all that much so, I have read reviews of the same situation and it is very clear not to buy this machine. I had read such great reviews for this machine but, am so disappointed because it has lead to nothing but additional costs for me to take at least some washes to the local laundromat on a regular basis. That is how ridiculous this has become. A fairly new (Bought in 8/2013) washing machine and I have to go to the laundromat to get my clothes clean. Buyer Beware on this product.

The LG TROMM washing machine is a horrible waste of money. LG must have put all their efforts into making a machine that appears to be a high tech, environmentally friendly machine without actually testing it. The clothes stink when they come out so you have to run empty clean cycles frequently which, of course, waste water and energy (hot water cycle). The safety latch errors outweigh too much. This review is for the LG WT5170HW Wave 4.7 Cu. Ft. White Top Load Washer. I purchased this washer 2 years ago. I was looking for the largest capacity that I could reasonably afford. I also wanted to save water. I was replacing an old agitator-type GE model that was still going strong after 17 years. Ever since I purchased this machine I have had problems with it giving the UE message (uneven load). Dont even think of using the capacity of this machine to the fullest. Anything above half-full will automatically cause UE messages. Anything bulky like towels or bedding will cause the UE message. Sometimes it gives the UE message for what seems like no reason at all. Basically Ive had to wait downstairs and babysit this machine to get it to finish about half of its loads. As for water savings, whenever the machine gets a UE message, it adds water to try to fix the problem, so any water savings are lost. I am amazed at the amount of water this machine uses. Here is the worst part. Recently while doing a load of laundry, the machine malfunctioned and would not stop filling itself with water. Thankfully I was down there cleaning otherwise I wouldnt have known and my basement would have been flooded. Something has gone haywire and the machine will not stop filling itself with water now every time I try to use it.I purchased the service warranty (something I normally never do) and called the service center and they cannot find a certified repair center anywhere near me (we live near Minneapolis/St. Paul). This afternoon I spent at the laundromat, and my $1,000 paperweight sits downstairs looking pretty. And, theres no one in the Twin Cities area who wants to work on these things apparently. Save yourself the money, time, headaches and stay away from this product!

I purchased it (Model # WM2487H*M) 4 1/2 years ago. Mold, mildew, black gunk abound. Rim harbors dirty water, grime, and bacteria. This is definitely not what I expected from this over-hyped machine. Advertising wizards had me fooled. If there is a class action suit, recall or refund offered, count me in. I’m not looking for big bucks. I just want a reliable, sanitary clean washer.

It met all my standard and recommend to everyone. The price was reasonable too. The color and style I loved and was exactly what I was looking for. I will always buy an LG fridge and tell everyone about it. I loved the ice maker and there was so much room for me to store all my groceries. Very clean and open. Loved the space on the doors and had enough room for all the condiments. The shelves were perfectly spaced and had enough room. There is nothing really that I did not like about it. It was exactly what I was looking for and the price range was perfect.

I bought an LG refrigerator model LFC20760SW. Just after the warranty expired, both gaskets on upper doors went bad. I had them replaced. Now exactly a year later, gaskets are bad again. I was told by a repairman that this is a constant problem with this model. I think LG should have a recall. I will never buy another LG product.

Why the heck would I spend over $1000 with the 5-year warranty that Home Depot sold me for a machine that only lasted 90 days before a major repair happened? Its not Home Depots fault but the stores have got to start calling out these companies who are selling inferior products and charging an arm and a leg for them. I now have a repair that took 3 days for a service tech to come out, only to tell me that it will be 5 days or more before the part is in and then they will call and schedule the repair. I understand how repairs might happen but strangely, I had a Maytag that did the same thing at the 90-day mark too! It went on to have 3 other major repairs such as leaking all over my floor and ruining the wood (was a slow leak I could not see because it was under the machine), control panel stopped working at 90 days, would not clean dishes and the final straw was another control panel replacement. All under 1 year. So I got HD to take it back and give me a new machine and guess what I picked out??? LG... big mistake. I did not buy a machine like this to have no working dishwasher after 90 days. I will never buy another LG product. I guess customer retention is not important to this company!

I had the refrigerator for approximately without any problems. Style, price and capacity were the primary reasons I chose this particular refrigerator brand. In addition, the refrigerator was an appropriate items for the decor theme in the kitchen. Accessible water and ice from the door of the refrigerator, ample storage space for items placed in the refrigerator, blending of the refrigerator with the kitchen decor, ease of cleaning the inside and exterior surfaces and the quietness in the operation of the mechanical parts represent features I liked about the refrigerator. Shortly thereafter, issues developed with the ice maker that included water dripping from the ice container into the dispensing tray that eventually caused severe damage to the wood floor. In addition, maintaining an appropriate cooling temperature fluctuated, requiring a service technician attention.

On 7-20-2010, I purchased an LG french door refrigerator, model LFX28978ST from Best Buy for $2,168. On May 26, 2014, I reported the failure of the unit to LG. I had an LG authorized service technician diagnose the unit, and he determined that the compressor has definitely failed, and that very likely, the entire sealed system had failed as well. He, while still in my home contacted LG and conveyed the information, but they stated they would seek replacement only of the compressor to be certain. After two days, I called the service organization again to determine when the repair would be authorized and made. They noted that no authorization had been received from LG and that I would be responsible for the full cost. Thereafter, I contacted LG and requested a service authorization. It was noted that one would be provided. Approximately two days later, I re-contacted the service organization regarding the repair. They stated that LG would not allow them to seek the part from their normal parts distributor, and that it must come directly from the company. They additionally stated that they had ordered the part from the company. When I requested the shipping and estimated delivery date, the service organization stated that LG never releases that information to the service organization. As a consequence, I re-contacted LG and requested the same information. The LG representative noted at that point that the part had been ordered, was in stock, yet had not been released for shipment. The representative added that they would seek to determine its release date and return my call. They did not. I contacted LG again to inquire of the part shipping date, and was told that since so much time had elapsed, I was being transferred to the defective returns area for resolution. Once within defective returns, I was provided a non-negotiable buy back of the unit at an LG depreciated price which amounted 67.6% of the purchase price, an amount which approximates to straight line depreciation for the period the unit was owned. Inquiring as to options, the defective returns area noted the only options were to take their offer, or wait for repair. I additionally inquired as to when the part would be shipped to effect the repair, and could not be given a time frame. Even when feeling forced into an untenable offer, the LG defective returns representative was able to add injury to insult, stating it would be 2 to 3 weeks before I would receive the check representing the buy-back. The approach LG has taken in my instance has the appearance of purposefully failing to comply with the repair terms of their warranty in an effort to compel consumers to accept a non-negotiable defective product buy-back offer. In my instance, I conceded under the duress of needing to replace my refrigerator. I will, however never purchase another product manufactured by LG under any nameplate (Sears, please take note).

I have had my LG refrigerator for a little over 5 years now. On Thursday my compressor went out for the second time. I called customer service and they stated it is under warranty, however they were also going to make an exception because the labor was not covered. Their next available appointment was 5/7/20. I get a call back a few hours later and I am told the next available appointment is actually until 5/18/20. It is currently 90 degrees where I live and since I am at risk have limited my grocery shopping to every 2-3 weeks. Lucky for me I had just gone grocery shopping. I ask LG, Will you pay for a rental fridge? (given its a known problem)….Nope. How about the roughly $200 in groceries I had just purchased....nope. How about sending anyone out sooner....We will call in 24-48 hours.Get a call and now I am being told my new appointment date is 5/19/20. Call back since it is ridiculous to wait 3 weeks to get a known problem fixed. Ask about reimbursement for me purchasing a new fridge….nope. Ask if I can get my grocery reimbursement if I buy a new fridge....nope. Then I am told I can call around to find someone and get all their information etc. and they MAY be able to authorize this company to fix my compressor. All I can say is WOW, really hoped my experience would have been not like I read in other reviews but I guess not. Here is to a waste of a fridge and a horrible customer service experience.

I own an LG Clothes Washer, model WM0624HW/01. The direct drive motor supposedly had a 7-year warranty on it. The rotor has plastic (!) splines in it that attach to the drum shaft to wash and spin the clothes. It (of course, its plastic!) stripped out after three years of normal household use. I contacted LG to get a replacement (I have been repairing appliances for 20+ years professionally, I know what I am doing); they absolutely refused. They said, Thank you for contacting LG Electronics. I am delighted to hear from you as our valued customer and I will be glad to answer your concern. I apologize for the inconvenience youre having. Drum motor such as stator, rotor and hall sensor have a seven year warranty from the date of purchase. Yes, the motor is still in warranty as I checked based on the serial number you provided. The washer has a one year warranty for parts and labor from the date of purchase but has exclusion for warranty of other parts as stated in the warranty page in the owners manual. For the replacement of the said part, it should be done by one of our LG technicians or authorized service technicians. The technician will order the part for you as soon as the unit is checked upon technicians visit, or will install it for you if the part is available upon service visit. Let me provide our rates for the labor. For LG technicians: diagnosis - $89, minor repair - $150 + tax & parts, major repair - $225 + tax and parts. I apologize I dont have the information for the rate fee for our authorized service technician. They have different rate scheme than our own LG technicians. I hope I was able to help you with your concern. If you have other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again either via email or by calling our customer service division at 800-243-0000 at your convenience. Thank you for choosing LG!I called Albert and told him I was a qualified appliance repair person, and it only took me 10 minutes to diagnose and remove the offending part and to please just send me the part. He absolutely refused. In order to get it replaced under warranty, I would have to spend $239 in labor. The part is available to me wholesale for $73.11 and it will take me 5 minutes to replace it. Of course, I will bite the bullet and buy the part myself. What gripes me is that the part is under warranty but I cannot get the part. LG has figured out a way to screw me out of the warranty they supposedly provide. Even worse, the replacement part is new and improved with metal splines in it, proving LG knew there was a problem and are refusing to do anything about it. Bottom line is I will never, ever buy anything from LG ever again. LG = Latest Garbage. This is not the first LG appliance I have had problems with, but it will be the last.

I spoke to LG corporate office twice and was promised a return email or call which never came. I requested to speak to the corporate manager CEO and I was denied. I have never had a refrigerator do this and of course after the warranty was up I was careless about keeping my receipt handy so now I have nothing but the evidence of the damage to my refrigerator. The refrigerator works good but I cant keep something that looks this tacky in my home. Its embarrassing. I have to leave the window open because of the smell. I have cleaned the tub several times according to the LG instructions. The cycle takes forever. Helps for a couple of days. I also dont find the clothes get that clean and fresh smelling when done. I would take back my old Whirlpool agitator machine in a heartbeat. We purchased a LG TROMM Washer in Jan. 2007 (WM2487h*M) and we should have known better as we had to trade it out within the first few days of purchase because the water was filling up in the drum after the rinse cycle and the symbol FE was displayed. Luckily, Best Buy exchanged it for a new one without hesitation and it was almost as if they had already been down this path before with several customers. Fast forward less than five years later and the same thing has happened. We just spent $640 on repairs including a new water pump, a new water valve and a new memory board for this hunk of junk of a washer. In hindsight we should have just bought a new machine as the warranties had all expired. The guarantee for the new memory board is for two years supposedly, but we have yet to see paperwork from the registered LG repairman. Although he did state that the new memory board was registered with LG. I guess well just need to keep pressing them on this until we see something in writing.

LG True Balance washing machine - We purchased this machine brand new and was told it was top of the line in terms of quality and capacity. It was also at the top end of pricing. We have been dissatisfied in every way. It takes hours to complete a wash cycle and the only chance you stand of getting through a wash cycle without machine stopping every 10 minutes and showing an error code is if you wash like items, ie only towels or only jeans... and then you still often times have to reposition at least once. Many times I cant get the load to finish and have had to remove and wring out by hand soaked and dripping items from machine. We have balanced it every way possible and done all recommended troubleshooting. Techs say just wash like items... not realistic to wash that many separate loads. Would love to hear if anyone has figured out how to fix this issue.

I purchased a refrigerator 6 years ago, but in the last 3 years we have had the compressor go out and LG tech has had to replace it. Since June 2021 Ive had 4 tech come out and my unit still does not cool to the temperature its suppose to be. Ive only had 2 good customer service experience. I have noted the agent and time that Iven call. No one has no clue what they are doing or review any notes that I requested to be added to my account. Ive asked 4 times to speak to a Supervisor and Im still waiting for a call. After 3 months, they determined I could get a refund for a % of the cost (which Im fine with) or repair it again and going forward my warranty would be up and the repairs would be my responsibility. Meanwhile all the techs said this is going to go out again because they had issues with this model.I accepted the refund - Im still waiting for that too. All the advertisements and sites are all false - LG does not stand by their products and definitely does not care how the consumer. I just want a refrigerator that works. After all I did not get it free. I paid almost $4,000.00 for it. As far as a call center they need to hire new people, their customer service skills are extremely unacceptable. That includes supervisors and managers.

purchased april of 2014. 2 days ago refrigeration quit working (both freezer & refrigerator). Called LG customer service, individual I was put in touch with spoke very poor english, would not or could not help, was told it was basically my problem because the warranty of 12 months had expired. After making numerous calls to try someone who works on LG (another problem in itself) I called back to LG customer service. This time I had an individual who spoke understandable english. When I explained my problem we started the same song & dance routine that I went through earlier. Finally he told me I would have to call their service tech. He gave me the # for a company in pa. (I live in ohio about 25 miles from the pa state line). I told him that they would not drive that far, but I called them & they said they dont service ohio.I now have a sears tech coming to look @ refrigerator next week. Absolutely fed up with LG customer service department & their products (entire kitchen is LG appliances). Will never purchase another LG product as long as I live. This might seem like a long complaint, but I feel that everyone should know that the way youre treated when shopping for their appliances sure is not the way you are treated after you purchase them.

I am the same person who reported a problem with a Magic Chef under-the-counter microwave that gave up the ghost after 3 years. I had purchased the Magic Chef microwave oven and an LG Electric Range (LSB5682SW/SB/S) at the same time from Home Depot. Now, the LG Electric Range has a malfunction with an oven sensor. I went to an appliance parts department for a replacement, only to be told they couldnt sell me one because LG will not allow anyone other than their service people to install it. I checked online and the price is $19.35. After I removed the rear cover plate, the sensor, held on with two screws, took me a couple of minutes to remove. My complaint is twofold. First, what right does LG have telling the home handyman he cant fix his own property after a warranty runs out? Second, why do these more expensive items fall apart shortly after the warranty expires? Mostly, why arent these companies held responsible until someone with some authority gets involved? After posting this rant, there is a box to tick asking if I want an attorney to contact me about my complaint. I thank Consumer Affairs for offering me that option, but it would be cheaper to buy a new appliance and thats the problem. LG, Magic Chef, and other appliance companies know this and are counting on it. New technology? Another money-maker for the greedy companies. The one thing I am glad I didnt do was to purchase the two-year extended warranty. Both appliances failed a few days after the warranty expired. Consumer, beware.

We purchased a top-loading direct drive LG washing machine at Best Buy a few years ago. From the beginning it has not been a good experience. The steam function never works and it crashes 1/2 way through the cycle EVERY time... and we then have to empty the machine and start over again. Add to this that the regular cycle does not fill with anything close to enough water, and the result is consistently dirty clothes and/or soap that dries inside the machine. And we cant even think about a load larger than about 6 or 7 large towels... as it overloads and tilts so we then have to drain the water and remove 1/2 of the load. If we had known how terrible this machine was going to be, we would have bought ANYTHING else. Do yourself a favor and avoid LG washing machines! We wrote to the company 2 times over the last few years and our letters are ignored. They do not seem to care about their customers.

Consumers beware when purchasing an LG appliance! If you are remotely mechanically inclined and prefer to save money and repair things yourself, LG is not the manufacturer for you. A little over a year ago LG decided that they will not sell replacement parts to the general public forcing you to call an authorized service center to come to your house at your expense to repair your appliance no matter how small or simple a fix.Recently I needed to replace an $8 tumbler roller on our LG Tromm dryer that had worn and was making noise. It is about a 30 minute fix and requires a screwdriver and two wrenches. LG Canada nor any of its authorized service centers would sell me the part even though I had already removed it and was ready to install a new one. The parts are sold in the USA but every company that sells the part will not ship to Canada. My only options are to either bend to these unfair practices by LG or junk the dryer and buy a new one - albeit a different brand!

Updated on 05/30/2020: As I stated in previous review this dishwasher has a manufacturing problem and LG refuses to do anything because it been too long!! It was made without railing on the bottom and thats why the basket keeps falling inside the machine. To refresh, they sent me about a year ago 2 new baskets, which of course didnt help. I dont know anything about machinery so I wasnt aware of the problem. A very nice problem resolver named Sean called and took pictures and told me what the problem was in the manufacturing and that he would resolve my problem and would be calling me in 1 HOUR. Well, its been 5 days and NO CALL!! Each time I have called customer service for an update they get snooty with me and keep giving me the run around. I WILL NOT be purchasing anymore LG products they do not stand by their products. For Sean who said he would help go to hell!!Original Review: LG makes an excellent washer with the exception of my lower basket. From day one Ive had a problem with it and LG sent me another one and it lasted less than 1 year. The bottom basket falls off the runner constantly and I am a senior that would prefer not to have to lift the entire basket filled with dishes to try to push it backside the washer. The model # is LDT9965BD and I bought it a Best Buy and Best Buy refused to help me. So Ive had this washer for 3 years and everyday the same problem. If I could buy another dishwasher I would. Also the things on the top and bottom move and I have to keep adjusting them and the utensil holder is a problem as it breaks apart and now is permanently broken. I could live with the others things. Its the bottom basket running off the rails everyday that is challenging. LG will not resolve this issue so I live with this aggravation on a daily basis.

May 2018... My almost 2 year LG French door in black stainless steel stopped cooling. Find out because there was water all over the floor from the ice melting. Lost all my food from fridge and freezer. LG replaced the compressor which lasted 4 days and went out again so of course I lost more food. Had another technician come out and took apart the inside of the refrigerator and found there was a leak. He ordered the new part and LG contacted him and told him it wouldnt be in until the end of July. LG gave me option that they would pay for the remainder value of the refrigerator and deduct the years of use or I would have to keep waiting for the part. I opted to wait for the part because they were only offering me a couple hundred dollars for an almost $3,000 refrigerator. The technician knows that this is an ongoing problem that he has dealt with with many customers around MN. I finally have my refrigerator working as of July 14... Thats 2 months without. Now my worry is for how long??? Another issue is the black stainless steel finish is peeling off of the whole set (microwave, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator). Recently the freezer in my LG refrigerator which I purchased in May, 2016 stopped freezing. Of course, this was one month out of warranty, but that wasnt the worst of it. I called LG and they gave me the names of service centers one which will not repair LGs, one that couldnt do compressor repairs and the last which could not come for two weeks. I called LG again and asked if there were other service centers and they gave me the names of two that were never an hour drive and would not come to my home. I tried calling other repair services in the yellow pages and couldnt find anyone to repair an LG. Several days later I received a phone message from LG telling me to call them that they had reviewed my case and would schedule a free repair. When I called them back the person I spoke to had no record of this phone message and started to repeat everything I had been over in my prior conversations with the service department. Currently they have given me a case number and Ive been told someone will call me in 24-48 hours. Unbelievable! When I owned a GE service came the same or the next day... Dont think Id buy LG again.

Ive bought front load machines in red color. It has a sensor type of thing. Anytime I wash something, it uses such a little water, I have to wash the same thing for three times. Also, dryer is the same way, it has a sensor and It stop drying the clothing before they are actually dry. I have to repeat the same cycle for dry three or more times. I set it on 55 minutes dry time, and in 10 minutes the machine stops with a signal of complete dry which is not complete. It bothers me. They werent cheap and it says less vibration and thats not true, my whole house shake from it. I wouldnt recommend to anyone! I will sell my house and make sure I dont have any LG product in my house. Very dissatisfied.

Purchased an LG refrigerator LMC25780, spent over $1,700. After just 2 years in service the freezer started getting warm. Lost all of the food. Called the LG service number and was told the unit was out of warranty, except major parts. The technical came out today and said the compressor is bad and will have to order a new one. The compressor is still under warranty but I still have to pay for the service call at $250. What a ripoff scam they have going. NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE AN LG PRODUCT.

LG washer model wt1001cw top loader - Purchased washer from Menards based on high ratings from consumer reports. Had it for only a week and parts of the laundry does not get wet and clothes do not come out clean. Called LG. States have to have repairman look at machine to be deemed non-repairable. Repair person states it is the nature of the beast. That is how the machine works. LG supervisors states nothing they can do, told me to go to Menards and state buyers remorse. Went to Menards. They will not accept return since it was past 7 days. We came in on the ninth day! We told the manager at Menards in Escanaba, MI about the buyers remorse. He laughed! Not impressed with LG and Menards! We can always use the washing machine for target practice. Probably will be good therapy!

First LG purchase was in Nov. 2009 with a convection oven/stove and dishwasher. Bought them at hhgregg and purchased the extended warranty. Moved out of that home in May 2010 and left the appliances there as I had planned on renting out that home. The end of May (for my new place) I purchased an LG front loader washer and dryer (Home Depot with extended 5 yr warranty) because it seemed like LG was a good brand from all the reviews I had read. Got renters in the next month for my old house and they were in there about a year. We left the house empty with someone checking on it every couple days for a year and a half. We moved back in Dec. 2012. We moved out again in March of 2014 to a larger home but took the stove with us. The dishwasher started having issues in July of 2014 for our new tenants. Our extended warranty covered it and the repairs ended up costing more than it was to buy a new one so it was completely replaced by the warranty. All in all, the dishwasher was used for about 3 of those 5 years before needing replacement. In December 2014 my dryer wont power on at all and I have to call Home Depot for the repair. They tell me its the motherboard and it gets replaced. This ends up being about a $200+ repair covered by the warranty. That same month, my LG oven wont heat up. The display says its 350 but I can easily touch the racks, and food is not cooking. My stove is no longer under warranty so the expense is on me. I call a repair guy out who tells me its one of the heating elements. $125 later everything seemed fine until 8 months later when now my washing machine wont drain and my stove has another issue. Neither are under warranty. The washing machine needs a new pump at about $200. My stoves motherboard gets replaced at about $200. Fast forward to April 2016. Stove not heating up again. Had appliance guy out who tried telling me we dont have enough electricity coming into our house after charging me $200 for some electrical part he said was bad and it didnt solve the problem. I called electric company who checked everything and house had plenty of juice. Got part of my money back from the appliance guy since he misdiagnosed the stove and cost me more money. Husband replaced the second heating element (theres two in this particular model) and everything seemed fine until August of this year. Washing machine is giving pump failure message again, dryers display is not working right (cant see how many minutes left -- digital display unreadable), and the stove went out again. Stove was approx 5 years old before we started replacing part after part. Washer and dryer were 5 years old before we started having issues. I have an LG fridge and dishwasher (purchased Dec. 2014), but I think these will be my last appliance purchases from LG. 3 appliances getting replaced is ridiculous in one month. Quality is just not important anymore to these companies. I dont expect them to last forever, but 7-8 years would have been nice. Will not purchase another LG appliance.

We have a 3-door side-by-side with ice/water. Ice maker is slow and very undersized so we will definitely run out of ice during a party. The refrigerator is very stylish but it is painted and can and did scratch. The unit is quiet and led lighted interior is quite nice. The door gasket has gone bad in 3 years though. WE bought this thru Home Depot and wisely bought additional wty. WE have some trouble with refrig and LG stove and the warranty company has been EXCELLENT. This is very important. No sin to need a repair but to be left hanging is not good. We will buy LG again. :-)

We thought we were buying the greatest washer ever when we purchased the LG
We thought we were buying the greatest washer ever when we purchased the LG Top Load washer WT4870CW. It boasted inverter driven technology and was not supposed to go out of balance and could handle larger loads. From the very beginning, it took at least 2 - 3 hours to complete one load of laundry. The machine would go out of balance almost every time it tried to extract. We were cautious about washing like-weight items in an attempt to complete a load with less than five trips downstairs. Now, the washer wont even drain. We ordered a new drain pump and replaced it, but we still get the OE error every time it tries to drain and extract. The drain hose has been checked for kinks and there are none and there is nothing blocking the drain pump or hose. This is extremely frustrating! We spent far more money for this washer than others would have cost. Unless there is a recall or LG shares a suggested fix with everyone, I guess its time to throw the $800 machine away and buy something new. It most certainly wont be LG. I will never own another LG product again! I hope others learn from my mistake.

I bought my LG French Door Refrigerator in December of 2014. It cost over $3000 and I was told by the salesman at Home Depot how GREAT the linear Compressor is. I noticed on Sunday that the ice was melted and the temperature was rising. I found my LG information and called Customer service. I was told the earliest they could come out was 4 days later. They also told me that he could not uninstall the fridge. It had to be moved out of its slot so he could access it, and it had to be unplugged. I was also told that the compressor was under warranty, but the replacement would be 375-425 PLUS state tax. Well, after 4 days, I had to throw away all the food that was inside. Probably another $200/300. The guy came out and told me that he would order the parts, but my cell service was bad so he couldnt tell me if they even had the compressor in stock. He told me they would come out the next day, unless the part isnt available. Which, reading the forum, looks like its 5 weeks out. Terrible product. The Sad thing is, that Im a Realtor. I have caused at least 5 or 6 clients and friends to buy an LG fridge because, the compressor has a 10 year warranty... as if that does any good. Im a single Mom, and I feel like I have to earn my money twice. Once to kill it and bring it home, and again to make sure it doesnt fly out the window. Im angry, Frustrated, and defeated.

I bought the refrigerator July 2016 plus a 5 year warranty. The first year the water flow from the in-door water was very slow. I had to call for service and they fixed it. Now July of 2019 (3 years) the whole refrigerator stopped working. Customer service is a joke. Ive called customer service three times, speaking to three different reps. The first one walked me through a reset and literally said that she guaranteed me that would fix it. She said check in eight hours. I did and it was not working. This was Friday and they are closed for the weekend. I spoke to another rep the first of the next week and he said that it would take until the following Monday for a tech to look at it to diagnose. That will be the ninth day without a refrigerator and freezer. He told me to prepare to be without a refrigerator for another two weeks after the tech makes the diagnosis and orders the parts. That will make 23 days from the time I reported. I spoke to a third rep to find out how to get reimbursed for the loss of $1500 in food. She said she could only authorize a $100 reimbursement. I recently looked at the current reviews and realized everyone is experiencing this same problem. I will never buy an LG product again.

DO NOT BUY LG refrigerator!!! The compressor on ours failed literally after 11 months and after 2 months of waiting for repair, theyre still trying to re-fix it with absolute disregard for any sensible customer care. LG does not even have their own people for repairs, they contracted another company so it is the blame game and you will never get an answer of when or if the refrigerator will ever be repaired. You will never be able to replace it even if it is under warranty with less than a year in use. LG will make sure you will receive their run around, at least thats our experience. Bottom line, the process of dealing with LG has been a nightmare and customers are on their own. LG does not care since they have already collected their money! Do yourself a favor and do not make our $2,800 mistake. DO NOT BUY LG - GARBAGE QUALITY and NONSENSE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

We purchased the LG front loading washing machine four years ago. It does vibrate but not like a Bronco. It does smell sometimes but we bleach out the machine once a month or so. It does not clean our clothes very well. I have to soak my shirts and pants in a water/ammonia solution before putting them in the washer to get a start on cleaning them properly. I guess if we use high-powered stink detergent, we would not notice a not quite clean smell of freshly laundered clothes, but we dont want artificial stink on our clothes. When my mother sells her house, Im going to trade our inadequate machine for her 15-year old Maytag top loader with the suds saver. We would warn anyone about purchasing this washer. I had no idea that so many people had those amounts of problems with this product. Wish wed read here first. It figures that LG is a Republican supporter, lots of big stink to cover up even bigger stink.

WT4870C - True Balance...I dont think so. I purchased the machine in August, 2013. From the beginning I would get uE/UE messages. I would rearrange the clothes, press the Start button and hope for the best. Finally called LG and the response was that they would email me directions on how to balance the machine. Thats it?! Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty plan. The Lowes Service Advantage rep was very nice and set up an appointment with the local appliance repair tech. He arrived today and asked (1) had I had any service before and (2) did I know about a recall? No to both questions. He explained that he would order parts and set up an appointment for next week. So far today Ive had uE messages on all my loads of laundry. I purchased my range in 2009. Near the end of the warranty, my oven stopped working. I called to have it repaired and it was repaired under the warranty. February of 2013, the oven stopped working again! I bake a lot so was upset I had to get it repaired again. We live in a small town and it is hard to get repairs done. After phoning around, I found out that the range had a recall on it in 2012! Why were letters not sent out? It took three months to finally get it repaired. Yesterday, November 6th, the oven doesnt work again! I called the recall line and had to fax the bill of sale to them. As of now, I havent heard back. I told them I would just like to get a new range so I dont keep having problems with this range because I bake a lot. The person I talked with said I probably wouldnt get the full value for the range, if they dont repair it again. I cant go without an oven for another 3 months. After the third breakdown, they should just replace the stove.

I purchased a top load LG washer and dryer about 5 years ago. The washer takes 3 times as long to complete cycles than it should. It begins to rinse and spin, then the UE signal comes on. After rebalancing the clothes the rinsing and spinning cycles begin again and the entire sequence happens over and over. I now have to manually wait for the spinning to almost finish then stop the cycle (this even happens with small loads so I am not overloading the washer). The washer has been balanced numerous times as well. If I don’t monitor the situation it can take over 2 1/2 hours for a simple load of laundry to finish. I have also noticed a foul smell at times which necessitates the use of bleach and/or Lysol for cleaning the tub. The dryer has been fine but the washer has been very disappointing and I’m sure has cost much more in utility bills due to unmonitored cycle times when I am not watching closely enough.

I have a black stainless over-the-range microwave. After 10 months the touchpad has quit working. I have to have the microwave unplugged because, if I plug it in the fan runs and the microwave appears to be running but none of the buttons on the touchpad work so I cannot shut it off. I first contacted Lowes service on Nov. 6 and didnt receive a followup call from LG so I called back on Nov. 9. Finally got a call from a service company on Nov. 10 but they could not get anyone out until the following Wednesday and we were going to be gone. The service company canceled the case and I was told I needed to start the process over when I returned home. I started it again on Nov. 28 and still no call from the service company. Called LG but all they would tell me was that I had to wait until the end of the day. My question to everyone who reads this is: How do we get the big box stores to stop selling LG appliances? LG doesnt seem to care at all about customer satisfaction. Perhaps if Lowes, Home Depot, Best Buy or one of the other big box stores canceled their contract with LG, perhaps LG would look more seriously at the service they provide. Any suggestions on how consumers could accomplish this?

We purchased an LG LDF8072ST PREMIUM dishwasher from Best Buy on Dec. 12, 2012. Since it has been installed, the performance of this product has been terrible. The drying cycle is terrible and when I contacted LG, I was informed that this was the way it was supposed to work because it is a new advanced HYBRID drying system?? Even when we put it on extra dry, it still did not dry the dishes. With the performance still terrible, 4 weeks ago, the dishwasher quit working completely. When I contacted the LG online chat service feature, it was a joke. I spent more time verifying that I had bought a dishwasher than anything else. He finally determined that my dishwasher was Shot and he ordered a technician to come out. 10 tens later, a technician from a local repair facility came out, and he verified my dishwasher was not working??? He brought no replacement parts, but verified the unit had crapped out.Two weeks later, he returned with a main board and got the dishwasher running. He tested a few cycles and declared it ready to go. I was out of town and my wife was leaving that afternoon, so she loaded up the dishwasher and started it before she left. When I got home three days later and opened the dishwasher, the dishes were still wet????? This is the first dishwasher that I have owned that drying dishes as part of the cycle is part of the dishwasher!I have gone on LGs website and written to them and have not heard back! For what they charge for their products, I would expect a better support/service system in place. Dealing with LG is as bad as dealing with Sears in the past. If this is not resolved, I will do my research and make sure my replacement dishwasher dries dishes and is not an LG.

LG fridge model #LFXS24623S went down over the weekend. Not cooling in fridge or freezer. Lost all food in both areas and I am not happy at all the way I see this company dealing with this inferior product. This cost me 2,500.00 dollars and is only 3 years old. There must be a LAWSUIT filed against this company to give customers a full refund. Not try to put a band-aid on it with replacing it with the same exact compressor that still continues to FAIL. I had my fridge technician come out and confirm what I already knew that it is shot. This is happening to hundreds if not thousands of customers with this fridge and they must be held liable for this mess. We all must stick together on this matter and file a lawsuit against this company. They cannot and will not get away with this. I am LIVID to say the least.

And then had the audacity to tell us they’d only give $800 in a depreciated value. THAT DOESNT FIX SAID REFRIGERATOR OR GET US A SAME MODEL DIFFERENT ONE. Even a 2015 would STILL be $1600. LG Lifes Good? LG - Laundrys Grubby - Just like everyone else, I am incredibly frustrated with my top-loading LG WT4801CW clothes washer (purchased from Home Depot). I spend more time and money redoing many loads of clothes because they just do not get clean and sometimes a streak of dirt is left on the clothes, so back to rewashing the same small load of clothes again and again. (There goes the water economy function of the washer down the drain). And my washer is also starting to smell (great). Based on everyones reviews, the machine should be breaking soon and at that point, I will give it the boot out of my laundry room.

We purchased a new French Door Counter Depth LG refrigerator when we moved
We purchased a new French Door Counter Depth LG refrigerator when we moved into our new home in April 2016. Within the first year, it stopped cooling. I called LG and requested a new refrigerator. I also called Best Buy where we purchased the refrigerator to see if they could do anything. They said because we didn’t buy their extended warranty, they could do nothing. LG sent a technician but it took over a week to get repaired. We lost all refrigerated items. After the first repair, it failed again and took a while to get a repair technician. We lost another refrigerator full of food. Shortly, it failed again within the first year. I again requested a new refrigerator. LG sent two different technicians, who worked on the refrigerator for about 5 hours, taking everything apart. I did not have any confidence that it would not fail again. In August 2019, it failed again. I called LG, who gave me a list of authorized technicians. We could not deal with more repairs, failures or lost food so we purchased a new different refrigerator. I would never recommend an LG product after our experience.
