Our LG refrigerator quit working after only four years. It was diagnosed as a sealed system failure. I noticed many other reviewers have had the same issue. The parts are covered under the warranty, but the labor isnt. $800-$1200 to repair! Model #LFC25776ST needs to be recalled! Were starting over and buying a Whirlpool.

I would give zero stars if I could. We bought all LG kitchen appliances less than 3 years ago. The oven and microwave are terrible. We are on our second microwave with them. I rarely use the microwave and while it was heating, it just shut off. It was most likely the circuit breaker and when that happens no reason to try to repair. We tried to buy another brand but we wanted to match and the sizes were off, so we spent another $300+ on an LG microwave and are crossing our fingers. The oven I never use because the temp is off. Its too hot and I either undercook or burn everything. Ive even tried thermometers something is off. My old oven and microwave (not LG) lasted over 10 years and I had no complaints, none! These new products are expensive and terrible.

LG over the oven microwave LMV1680WW - We purchased this microwave in 2010. It has functioned properly (as far as we can tell), but the front door has cracked at the lower hinge and at the bottom of the handle. I contacted LG and was given the runaround. They took my info but said no one would contact me since it was not a mechanical failure. This is about the poorest service I have ever received. Unless I can see a better response, there will never be any more LG anythings in my household.

Had this LG direct drive 9 kg washing machine for 18 months now and its been a pain, had an engineer out once, called customer services twice lately and after saying someone would get back to me in 48hrs Im still waiting, that was 2 weeks ago! Machine is extremely sensitive, stops midway through a wash saying it has an uneven load when there is a small jacket in it! You also have 2 to drain the tub manually after it stops, all in all I would never recommend anyone buy this machine as its been a nightmare and LG customer services are just as bad???

Our $3000.00 LG refrigerator (lfxc24726s/02) started having problems just after the warranty expired in January 2017 and between waiting 3 months for parts then another two weeks because part replaced did not work and a day later the door is now leaking water. Called LG to voice our concerns with their quality and mentioning I have all LG appliances in the kitchen they dont really care. If you are in the market for a refrigerator avoid LG all together. Many more choices and better quality at this price range!

We went with a larger cubic footage from the builders model. LG purchased through Costco, so you are backed by the best, if there is a problem. Great freezer space and interior flexibility of shelves in the refrigerator section. Extra storage area for frequently used items, milk, water, condiments is a great add on.

We bought the LG appliance bundle of an oven/range, refrig, microwave and dishwasher and we also bought the front loading washer and dryer. This was one GIANT mistake and I regret buying from LG. Our ice maker was manufactured incorrectly and as a result we had 5 diff repairmen sent out with no solution. Our refrigerator should have been replaced but LG delayed the services and repairs putting us outside of the warranty date. Now our oven went out in less than 5 years and it has to be replaced. I went back through my LG file and remembered all of the problems with trying to get my rebates and that I had to spend more time trying to get it than it was worth. I have since learned that others have issues with their LG refrig and now I am learning about oven issues. Overall, I have learned to never buy LG. I was a believer but have since changed and advise others to avoid LG.

Brand new LG electric range model LRE30453SB. First time using the oven, smoke billowed from the oven vent after about 5 minutes of preheating. I purchased the LG Direct Drive washer model number WT1101CW a couple of years ago. It worked great the first six months. Now virtually every load you wash throws a U.E code meaning load is uneven while in the spin cycle. If you dont pull the load out and place it by weight around the tub it either shuts off until you do or fills back up with water over and over again. Rarely does it solve the problem itself. I would rather have a bottom of the line washer than this piece of junk. I dont understand how it received the Energy Star Rating when it waste gallons of water on every load not to mention the extra electricity. It makes you wonder if the Energy Star Rating means anything on products. Whoever is in charge of it obviously didnt do much testing on this unit. Companies like LG and Samsung make great electronics but when it comes to appliances not so much.

We have a four-year-old LG Dishwasher (LDF6920ST) that caught fire at 2 am in the morning a few weeks ago. Thankfully, our oldest son was awake and heard a loud popping noise that caused him to investigate and we were able to turn the unit off before it burned down our kitchen. The repairman who looked at the unit found that the main circuit board in the door caught fire. It is important to note that the motor has burned in the unit as well. A member of the LG executive team that works on these problems told me that fires happen in all sorts of LG appliances and that they repair the unit! We are completely afraid of this product, based on the many other examples of fires we have read about and we want a refund. Dont buy LG.

Bought this French door LG refrigerator in May 2015 model number- LFXS307668. Paid 3200.00 for it. Leaking water on the floor, not cooling, all food ruined. Been through much of what the others have noted. Run around from LG. Told by a certified LG repairman he has received at least 30 calls this week with the same issue- freon leak, compressor, evaporator, etc. Huge cost to repair. Quoted 700.00 for labor only, no warranty after 90 days from repair and it can easily take a month to get parts as they are backlogged. What a money pit! Wish I would have read these reviews before purchasing. NEVER buying an LG product again. There should be a class action law suit against this company. Read somewhere that some Kenmores are made by LG.

LG Washer/Dryer unit. Noticed water on floor, thought it was the washer. Repairman identified water coming from dryer. He was not able to fix the problem. Might add, weve passed the one yr. warranty and didnt purchase an extended warranty thinking back over 50 yrs of never having to call a W/D repair person. After some personal research discovered the water drain was not connected to the proper reservoir. Never saw a drop of water in the prescribed reservoir which means it was never properly installed at the factory or whatever reason LG can figure who to blame. Theyve given me some repair phone #s. None service our area. Discovered that they have a very narrow presence for repair people. This is a BUYER BEWARE of LG. No service, poor and rude customer service and a phone number with a broken answering string. In the meantime, LG has a duty and a responsibility to mitigate all damages and the Consumer Affairs Division of the State of California needs to look into a company that sells their products without providing a reasonable method of getting repair service. Their star deserves a huge Zero. I bought both items at Home Depot and they could not give me a repair person for LG. Right now were stuck with having an expensive dryer that doesnt work. Carting a basket of wet laundry to dry outside is a huge inconvenience for an 80 yr. old.

I have found that LG LRG3081ST turns on just by walking past the stove and bumping the knob. This has happened multiple times and needs to be addressed before my house blows up. This time the stove knob must have been turned on all night because the whole house smelled of gas fumes. I have looked all over the internet this morning to find out if there is any fix for this and have been unsuccessful in finding anything. This is very frustrating and needs to be fixed. I have read that there is only one-year warranty on this stove and this is not under warranty because its a design flaw LG needs to fix.

Wife wanted new appliances so we went to Hopeless Depot and bought LG. What a mistake. Bought a french door refrigerator. Within 2 months the ice maker went out. LG came out and installed a new ice maker and all seemed fine until the other day it went out again. Now everything is out of warranty and the ice maker went out again. I called LG and they gave me the number to 3 repair companies and they all told me the same thing. 90 days on the ice maker, no warranty. Fridge is a year and 2 months old. I have the old KitchenAid refrigerator in the garage that works like a champ. 25 years old. So to add insult to injury the turntable motor on the microwave is going out. It is the same age. 14 months old. I wont even bother calling them - Ill just let everything fail. Do not buy LG - they suck. Their stuff does not last. Get KitchenAid.

We purchased a counter-depth LG French Door unit from Lowes about 5 years ago with a 3-year service agreement. Because LG doesnt make as many counter depth compared to standard depth, it cost more (~$3000). Cosmetically and storage-wise, we were quite happy with it, but early in the first year we noticed that ice was building up behind the left bottom storage drawer. Lowes repairman replaced the entire rear fan/control unit, explaining that if we didnt have the service contract it would have cost us about $500.Unfortunately 2-more service calls by 2 different organizations were required in the first 3-years --- all for the same ice problem! We then purchased a 1-year extension for the service agreement because it was obvious that our $3000 fridge had a problem no one seemed to be able to fix. We were correct, because we had more ice in that year.Numerous calls and emails to LG and Lowes during these 5-years got us little more than asking for more and more details about previous repairs. They also referred us to someone to repair it. They all tried, replacing more pieces and parts. Finally, a few months ago when ice again recurred we spent $90 for another LG expert to review our issue. They told us LG had issued some sort of bulletin about this problem, and for another $500 for the part, plus labor, they could fix it. At this point we had already spent at least $750 and dozens of hours trying to fix a $3000 fridge and had no confidence anyone could repair it properly, so this afternoon our new Frigidaire will be installed and the LG hauled away; and Im writing this review. The experience with this washer in particular but also the dryer is among the worst We have made. Now that my four children have moved out I figured I would be doing less washing and drying. I’ve owned this product for two years. I’ve already spent close to $200 having somebody replace a drum. The washer in particular does not drain properly and I have to physically open the tube and sit there with a bowl draining water sometimes 5 to 7 times or the clothes will be soaked smelly and filled with filthy water along with the bottom of the washer. Sometimes water leaks out of the bottom. I couldn’t even begin to go through the litany of the defects. Glad I’m selling my house soon and will be sure to leave this here. Never will I buy another product from this company again. I can’t remember the last time I had to submit a review so negative.

I returned a call back to customer support and the gentleman said to hold on he was going to call the technician. Then he comes back and tells me that he can’t get in contact with the technician but here is his number you can call them. After calling for the last 4 days still nobody to repair freezer! But oh does it get better because this morning now the refrigerator part is not cold. So again I contact customer support and the guy tells me he can’t get in contact with the technician. We have tried all week long what makes you think you could contact them today. Then customer support told me that he is going to change repair technicians and the earliest they could come out to repair would be 2 weeks. I said I can’t go 2 weeks without a refrigerator, could they reimburse me with another refrigerator. The answer is no we can’t do that till the technician says it’s un-repairable. My husband and I bought a house with a LG range already present in the house. After using the convection oven for about ten months I noticed blue specks in our food. I investigated the inside of the oven to discover the blue enamel was peeling. I called a repair company who called LG, they requested pictures be sent of the oven. LG said they would provide a partial refund if we could produce a receipt for the range since it was out of warranty and irreparable. We can not produce such document because it came with the house. I demanded to know if the paint we digested was toxic, the customer service rep said he would find out, but would not pay for the stove.Another week (three now) went by, I have a recorded message from another customer service rep stating they will not pay for the range and also could not tell us if the paint was toxic for another MONTH!!! Because it was made in Korea!!! If the paint is toxic, we will be dead in another month I guess. Any product used for cooking, peeling paint containing unknown substances from Korea MUST be recalled!!! LG may refuse to replace my range because I dont have a receipt, but they should at least offer to pay medical bills for blood testing of the four people whom ate the unknown substance in their Korean enamel.I wanted to help others avoid this same trauma so I took to Facebook, where LG accused me of spamming and blocked me from their page to hide this toxic secret. I also still have this message saved to my phone. Like every other complaint on this site, I am sure they will say they take pride in their product and refer me to the website. The fact is the website, the company, customer service, no one knows or cares what we ingested and until this is fixed this product needs to be taken off the market.

It takes 3 cycles of 1:10 minutes to dry a normal load of clothes. I have to add vinegar to a load of sweats, to help with the smell. That is on top of a fabric softener. We purchased a new LG refrigerator when we purchased our home in 2017. We had renovations going on and our right hand door was damaged/dented by a contractor. The contractor offered to replace the door so I contacted an LG recommend appliance parts and service place to replace the door. A week later they returned with a substitute that did not work so they said they would be back a couple of weeks when the correct door came in, that was October 2018 and I have been waiting ever since. All my phone calls to the appliance repair people end with them saying it still has not come in, it’s on backorder. At one point I called LG who confirmed the door is on backorder! Seriously it has been almost a year. Of course I had to pay the appliance repair person for the house call even though I told them the door needed to be replaced due to dents but they said that money would go towards the new door. He made up a story about why he couldnt fix it but most likely he didnt know. The fridge is 3 years old and so he charged me for the collection and now he says its the compressor. The 10-year warranty doesnt appear to apply to whats wrong and he says that LG dont have a compressor to supply him? Ive lost my fridge all the food and I have no respect for LG. I have very very bad experience with LG Refrigerators since from last 3 months compressor broke 2 times and gas pipe leak issue, once lost my food 3 times and made my wood flooring spoiled with the water leakage. They are not willing to replace my food loss or neither replace my fridge with new one. I keep calling customer care and they are denying both of my requests. I am thinking of approaching consumer court now. This is totally not acceptable for new refrigerator of 3 years old. Thanks.

LG handled the entire situation most impressively. The refrigerator was serviced by a very experienced, professional young man and is indeed back in working order as of today. I am hoping that once I have it placed back in my kitchen that it will be in service for years to come, as I really do like this refrigerator. Thank you LG for investing your time and renewing my trust.

Sheets do not get completely wet. We have to use heavy duty setting to get enough water over the clothes. The washing takes a very long time to try to get the clothes clean, but it never does the job correctly. The high efficiency is: not clean, long cycles, more water than a low efficiency. LG needs to rework the design.

The inside of my LG front loader washing machine started on fire while it was running on 3/11/15. Fire was contained to the inside wiring/hoses of the machine. Eventually started the dryer on fire as it was right next to it. Called 911 & the fire was put out by the firemen as I waited outside (I was unaware of the cause of the fire at that time as my entire basement was filled with smoke and I ran outside immediately). The entire house is almost unbearable from the smell of the smoke.Called LG and having a difficult time communicating with anyone. Not really sure who else to contact as I seem to be getting nowhere. So far, LG has not been helpful whatsoever.

Well fast forward to Feb 2018, the ** is not working AGAIN!!! Surprised, surprised. It’s gonna cost me another $375 for them to come out to see what’s wrong with it AGAIN! I am sooo frustrated and feel sooo helpless to the point that I just want to scream and cry... WORST PRODUCT EVER!!! I NEVER, NEVER, have ever wrote a review on ANYTHING or anyone... The shelves also started to break about that time. It looks disgusting and I called LG for remedy and they said for me to do regular maintenance! Now I have moved to another home that has stainless appliances and cannot use this white fridge. Who wants it now... No one due to the rust on the front. Horrible experience.

LG TOP LOADER WT4970CW. This set was $1200 on sale and should have just bought a cheap one. It took me literally from 7am to 5 to wash a load because of off balance issues. Then it still wasnt done, clothes smelled like mildew so I emptied the washer and boxed it back up and returned it. I dont have time to babysit. DO NOT BUY THIS! Bought this machine in 2011 from Conns. We never had a problem, but the only thing was where the bleach dispenser it started rusting and I would just clean it. I did buy warranty, but before it expired I called to tell them about the rust. Conns said that is a manufacture problem, they only repair. So I didnt renew it. Now the tub makes horrible noise when washing rinsing. And clothes comes out soggy. I called LG yesterday, I thought maybe they could do the Smart Diagnostic and let me know what machine needs. They said if they did the diagnostic it would mess up the machine?? For them to send a Tech out it will cost $414 with one year maintenance or $302 for 60 day warranty. So disappointed, I might as well go buy a new one.

I purchased the LG refrigerator in June 2016 from Home Depot. The compressor failed July 2017. Fortunately, I had purchased the extended 5-year warranty through Home Depot; however, the on going saga of trying to get the unit repaired is unacceptable. It took nearly 10 days to get repairman to the house to diagnose the problem. There were no compressors anywhere within the United States to replace the defective compressor. The compressor was back ordered with a promised delivery date 10 days after the repairman had diagnosed the problem. I expected the compressor to arrive by August 3rd. I was recently informed that it would not arrive before August 17th with a possible installation to occur within 1 to 3 days after that date! This would be over a month to get the refrigerator repaired. In discussing the problem with the repairman, he informed me that he is seeing numerous compressor problems with the LG refrigerator. Home Depot, although not acknowledging a problem, was good enough to offer a small refrigerator to provide some form of unit for us to have in the interim. I suspect that they know that LG has a major problem that is being swept under the rug. This is a problem that needs further investigation.I honestly want Home Depot to take the unit back, so I can replace it with another brand. It was the top of the line LG refrigerator, in which I paid nearly $3000. Compressors should not fail within a years time, and if they do, there should be replacements available in less time than a month. Clearly, LG has some sort of defective design with their refrigerator compressors. As I have investigated the problem online, I noted that there has been at least one class action suit against LG refrigerators in the recent past. I believe that this issue is potentially lining up for another class action suit.

They should stand behind what they sell. I wish I had never ever purchased this product. To anyone considering purchasing, I hope youll look at the reviews. Do not buy and do not waste your money or time on this product. Look elsewhere for a quality product. I have purchased many items from Home Depot. LG LFX31925SW Refrigerator - We purchased the 31 Cu FT French Door LG refrigerator a year and a half ago. It is a wonderful refrigerator as far as capacity and how it functions on the inside. Not the most streamlined looking from the outside. And it hums all the time, not sure what part is doing that enough to wake me up at night. I recently pulled out the gliding drawer and to my dismay, the back wall of the refrigerator is cracked. Who would have thought the inside wall of the refrigerator would be compromised and cracked. Calling LG service center was a waste of time. Not only did they only quote the one year parts and labor (not sure on what) and the 7 yrs sealed system (whatever that covers?) and 10 years on the compressor (seems to hum every night). They read a script and have no other answers, always seems to be someone you cannot understand what they are saying and they can hardly speak English. When I mentioned I believed it was delivered in that condition, they said NO it was empty when delivered to imply I lied. Well no, the delivery folks set it up. I had to do nothing. So the repair company tells me to tape it, there is no way to repair it and no warranty. Really, no warranty on the structure of the unit. I call it cheap and wont buy another LG product ever. I feel blessed after reading the nightmares of other customers and with all their problems with defective parts and getting no results. My question is what has happened to products in America. There is no quality left.

Updated on 09/09/2021: Earlier this week, I submitted a review about my 2015 LG electric dryer. Today, after 25 minutes of trying screw extractors and the rubber band trick, an LG approved appliance repairman was able remove the front panel to determine the cause of non-heating heat element. Turns out that that there was an electric wire fire near back left side of dryer. A green wire which allows power to the heating element melted, sparked, and melted part of the neutral white wire next to it and there is black soot on the dryer lid. This could have burned down my home with my family in it! Now, have to have an electrician cut off the burnt part of the wire. But, this could happen again.Original Review: In 2015, I purchased a new washer front loading set, only to have to exchange the dryer for top loading model because front load models silicone collar would stink after each load even though I disinfected it after every load. The dryer has been great, but the heating element or thermostat died this August 2021. Worst of all, the dryer cannot be serviced because the factory installed door panel screws were over tightened. The screw heads cannot be drilled into to remove the screws to replace early expired parts. The dryer is now a nothing but a huge paper weight! Do not buy LG dryers. Contacting residential customer support almost impossible. I will be contacting the media should LG not make this right.

My LG clothes dryer (model #DLEX5170W) stopped working during my first year
My LG clothes dryer (model #DLEX5170W) stopped working during my first year of ownership. That was just the start of my problems. Getting someone in customer service @ LG was another part of the problem: they put the burden on you and told me I didnt have enough electric power (I had plenty) & had to hire a certified electrician and get more power. The electrician (at my cost) said I had plenty of power. Called LG back and they still had me jump through hoops but finally set up an appt. with Jimmys Same Day Appliance to come to my home one afternoon, LG said, between 1 and 7 on a Friday. He never showed and never called. (I have caller ID, so I know he never called)! What a waste of time. LG set up a 2nd appt. for the following Monday with the same guy/co. to come between 11-3 and at 12:30 he called to say his daughter fell at school and hurt her arm and he was going to the hospital and doubted he would make it today. At least this time he called. I called LG....another ten to twenty minute call, and requested a different service tech, and got one for tomorrow between 1 and 5 pm. What a nightmare. Had I known LG products break down during their first year and that customer service is so difficult I never would have bought their product! Never will again!

I wouldnt recommend anyone buy an LG product after what my husband & I have been through. We bought the refrigerator in 2007 and have probably had Sears out to work on it at least 12 times. We kept paying for the repair agreement because it became obvious very quickly that it was a LEMON! We have had the motor go out once and lost all the food in it. They have replaced the side of the door with the dispenser on it once...the motherboard 7 times. We lost all the food in it again a few months ago. Today was the third time in three weeks they have come out and arent sure what the problem is. It just stops running and you have to unplug it, wait a few minutes and plug it back in. LG always tells the technician to replace something on it and it never works. Today they said to put on another door & a new power cord. We have stopped storing meat in the freezer because we are afraid the refrigerator will break down again and we will lose it all. We store it in the 30 year old refrigerator in our basement that has never had to be worked on! We paid a lot of money for this refrigerator and could have bought at least one more with all the money we have paid in repair agreements. There should be no question that we should get a new refrigerator. But they dont want to do that because now its old! They spend more money fixing this than they would giving us a replacement. It makes no sense at all! If you are looking for a new refrigerator I suggest you steer clear of LG. I wont own anything again with LG on it!

My extended warranty not covered because I was told LG is now covering cooling issues for 5 years from purchase. After extended hold times with LG (over an hour each time) it took them over 2 weeks to send a repair person. Repair finally done on Wednesday, they changed out the compressor. Was told to allow fridge to cool for 24 hours before placing anything inside and 24 hours for ice. It has been 48 hours, shopped today for some food as everything had to be thrown out and the fridge and freezer are not cooling properly. Ice not freezing, few items in freezer mushy and milk and juice barely cool. Will have to get back on the phone with customer service tomorrow.

I purchased my LG French Door Refrigerator in August of 2013. It worked great until earlier this week when it completely stopped cooling after only 2 1/2 years of use. I called LG and was sent to an overseas call center where someone reading from a script was quick to inform me that the 1 year warranty of my $2,000 appliance had expired. Not only did they not make any effort to help me, all they did was provide the names of two non-local companies who could service my appliance at my expense. I called the companies who would not travel to my home. I called LG back and they told me to find a repair person myself because they have no authorized repair people in my area. I did find a repair person to look at it and it was determined to be a sealed system failure which would be covered under my limited parts warranty. I called LG back and they have no one in my area that will work on a sealed system failure on their product. I have a completely useless product and no one to fix it. I paid $2000 for a refrigerator and I am storing my groceries in a cooler in my garage. I have never received such horrible customer service and I would strongly caution anyone considering an LG appliance to NOT do it! I will NEVER do business with this company again.

Whatever is on the top stays there - just shifts from side to side unlike the video. I’ve watched it. It defeats the purpose of HE to use the water plus feature - it’s the only way clothes have a chance to get fully wet. I had a front loader previously for 10 years and wanted to give this a chance. I have owned an LG refrigerator for five years, and have now had 3 times where it stopped sufficiently cooling due to a well known issue with the compressor and other internal components. There is even a class action lawsuit that covers numerous models. Part of the class-action lawsuit requires them to extend the warranty up to 5 years. Since I am now about 7 months past that 5 years warranty, LG will cover the parts to repair, but not the labor. Since the repair is quite involved, it is expensive and therefore not worth it, especially since this would have been the THIRD time to replace the compressor and other parts, and there is no guarantee it would be a durable repair. If the third failure of the compressor had happened just 7 months earlier, I would have been entitled, per the terms of the settlement, to compensation. I realize at this point LG is not obligated to do anything beyond the terms of the class action settlement, but it is infuriating to me that a company would produce a product like this, need to have a class action lawsuit to do right by its customers, and seems content to leave me with a product they know is faulty and refuse to take responsibility based essentially on a technicality. Its disgraceful. Avoid LG products. This is a nightmare.

I purchased a washer in January 2013. It started giving a UE signal and delaying the cycles. No matter the size of the load, it kept doing this. It was serviced on April 9th, 2013. It worked fine for several weeks. By June it started the same problem described above. I attempted to make a service appointment online and it keeps saying there is no service for my area!!! I chatted online with an agent and this person (Gus). He asked me for all the information and also stated there was no service for my area and that he would talk to a supervisor to call me. This has not happened (7/18/13). On Monday 7/22, I called LG and the person (Richard) told me that all I had to do was to rearrange the clothes I was washing. I told him that was not a solution and I wanted it to be replaced or money refunded. There was a lot of discussion and then he told me that a repair person (who I need to call instead of them) would charge me for the service, which I refuse to do since this is a new appliance. We purchased an LG Gas Range in November of 2012. Starting in May of 2015, the oven racks started becoming a struggle to slide them in and out of the oven. We noticed that the blue enamel was gone on the tracks where the oven racks slide in and out. We have contacted LG and they keep giving us the run around. We even sent pictures where it was evident that the enamel was gone and you could clearly see the metal. They responded with the following email, Sir: This is with regard to the request of range racks for model#LRG3095st. The unit was purchased 11/15/2012 which is over a year and not qualified for us to send you the racks for free. This racks can be ordered with our Parts Distributor, MCM ELECTRONICS phone# 800-824-9491. Also, regarding the pictures that you sent to us which have stains on the blue enamel, these were caused by liquids, sauces, grease, and other foods spilled or splattered inside the oven which is cosmetic issue, therefore not covered. So, all they ever wanted to do was have us order our own racks and state that these were stained by grease, liquids, etc. Obviously, he did not look at the picture and it appears he is stating that these things will eat the enamel off of the inside of the stove to where the metal is exposed... LG has a problem and is not wanting to take care of any problem pertaining to their product. Their customer service representative told me that it was out of warranty and that it is not covered. So basically, the enamel in the LG oven that costs around $1,000 is only meant to last 2 to 3 years. DONT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

I changed laundry detergent plus add crystals, all kinds of additives trying to get clean clothes. It doesnt even agitate strong enough to clean clothes. For an expensive investment, its awful. Id be better off going to a river and beating the clothes with a rock. The machine runs as its suppose to but it doesnt do the job. I have invested in a very expensive bucket and Im upset. I want a washing machine that does what it was advertised to do. Give me clean laundry.

I highly recommend NOT purchasing any LG products. Customer service is pretty much nonexistent. From the day I received my EXPENSIVE, brand NEW washing machine. There were issues. LG will only keep sending service people and replacing parts in hopes that the product will work as expected. Any REPUTABLE company would have replaced the unit immediately. CONSUMER BEWARE.

My wife purchased our new LG refrigerator (linear compressor) unit 2 years ago from Home Depot. We purchased the extended warranty, against my feelings, and am glad we did as the unit failed after only 2 years! Trying to contact LG is next to impossible. I then called the warranty service, this is also a joke as they say they cant have anyone out for over 2 weeks. This refrigerator has a class action lawsuit out on it as I find out, but LG only replaces the compressor with the same thing! To make matters worse, I had just come back from a hunting trip, and loaded the freezer up with two deer. I have now lost everything. So now, I am out all my food, and I cant even get a working refrigerator for at least 2 weeks? I no longer even want this junk appliance, but, they refuse to credit me, or take the unit back! This is unacceptable for such a major company. I will NEVER recommend, or purchase anything made by LG again!

I purchased a beautiful French door refrigerator (Model LFXC24796S) from the Home Depot in November 2017, by September 2018, the compressor has already gone out on this fridge. I purchased the extended warranty through Home Depot and the soonest they could send someone out was three days later to look at it. I was told parts had to be ordered because the compressor went out and it would take 3-5 business days. It has now been day 5 and I have received no contact from the service people and Home Depot and LG are giving me the runaround. Meanwhile we are at home living out of coolers for 11 days now with a beautiful looking $2,700 piece of crap. Threw away over $300 worth of food. I am so disappointed at LG and Home Depot for not doing something to make it right. I am about to drive this fridge to Home Depot and demand my money back. DO NOT EVER BUY AN LG fridge! Even the service technician who came out told me that all of these type fridges break very easily. For as much money as you spend, you can get something more worthwhile in a Whirlpool, GE, or KitchenAid.

I purchased my LG dishwasher (Model LDF7774SD) in May 2016. It is less than a year old. Starting in February 2017, the dishwasher started having issues. The soap tablet compartment does not dispense the soap tablet, leaving the dishes as dirty as when they were loaded. I have tried liquid as well and after the cycle is finished and you open the door it is running down the inside of the door. LG sent a serviceman to repair the dishwasher twice, and it is still not operating. He replaced the motor as well as some other parts. I have placed nine calls to their customer support center, with no resolution. They keep stating they are sorry for the inconvenience, but refuse to replace the unit.Today May 21, 2017, I contacted them again, since I have not heard from them. First I was directed to their customer service in the Philippines then to their operation in the Bahamas and then to their support center in Costa Rica and back to the Philippines. You can barely understand the representatives. They are more concerned with updating their system notes than correcting the problem and providing good customer service. I asked to speak to their engineering or quality control department, but was told they have no way to contact them, and could not provide a phone number. In addition to the soap not dispensing, dishes fall over when going through the cycle, as the tines are spaced too far apart. Many of the glasses after they fall over, fill with water, and surprise when you open the door... water everywhere. When I spoke to a customer service supervisor, and asked him what I should do until/if they repair or replace the unit, he said I guess you will need to wash them by hand. I have never dealt with a company like this before. I will be submitting a complaint with the BBB. Forget about contacting the number listed on the web, for the North American Corporate office. You cant reach anyone. If you try to leave a message, it states the voicemail is full. I will never buy another appliance from LG. (Life is Good) NOT! If I could give them a negative rating I would. You would be very wise to stay away from this company. Why any retail store would carry their line of appliances is beyond me.

I have several LG appliances and TVs. Never a problem until my French door refrigerator stopped working. 3 certified LG repairmen came out replacing the compressor and it still does not work. Day 26, fridge held hostage. Now I’m being told I have to wait another 8 days before someone comes out again. That’s 34 days with no refrigerator. My extended warranty is 5 years, and states reimbursement after 3 failed repairs. They now want to run external lines on the back wall and drilling through the sealed wall. Totally unacceptable. Waiting 8 days between technician visits is a wait them out plan that seems to be working. Will never buy another LG! Will spread the word to everyone.

Dont buy an LG refrigerator! I paid too much attention to the breakdown of the refrigerator, and it has been a month and a half since it broke, but it is still the same. I used it so far with a 20% discount on the LMXS28626S in June 2018. When I opened the freezer around the end of January this year, everything was melted. I called the LG Customer Center and changed the compressor on February 10, and it broke two days after fixing it. I called the repairman who came last time and came in a hurry. After checking, he said that he couldnt fix it.. There was a leak somewhere inside, but he couldnt find it. He contacted the repair center and said they would fix it. There was no contact even after waiting. When I called the customer center, they said that I had to talk to a repairman at the site, and that he would send the repairman again. And 10 days later, I finally got the case number... When I called the customer service center a few days later, I used it for almost 3 years, so I subtracted what I used and gave a refund. I got a 20% discount, so I couldnt buy the same refrigerator with that money, so I asked for a full refund if I would give it a refund. He said there was no such thing in company regulations. I would use the refrigerator for more than 10 years if it wasnt broken. What does it mean for you to make such a product, and the consumer will suffer the loss?? They tell me to clean up the broken refrigerator. Its not in company rules... Your company lost more customers because of me.

We were looking around and doing some research a few years ago when we bought our first LG fridge. And in that process, we found that we liked the design and the products that they offered. But our most recent refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare. It keeps failing constantly. And now, LG’s saying they won’t replace it unless I have the original receipt. So now, we’re stuck with a broken refrigerator till I can potentially find a way to get a receipt. I’m extremely likely to go to a different competitor after this experience. We really enjoyed the product, and they were aesthetically pleasing, but a refrigerator’s supposed to refrigerate things.

Gas Range LSSG3016ST - I have owned this range only 3 months, but I am very frustrated with the moaning whistle noise that comes from the unit the entire time the oven is in use and for 15 minutes or so after the oven shuts off. I thought maybe when it was used a few times it would stop but it hasnt. It is not horribly loud but loud enough I can hear it throughout the kitchen and it really gets on my nerves. I would think for a $2000.00 oven it should be quiet. I am talking with customer service and will write another review per their response. As of this time I am not a happy camper and think this will be my last LG purchase.

We bought a front loading washer and dryer. About three years later, the washer is shaking so hard it sounds as if it will tear down the walls and cave in our floor. The washer shakes so hard, it moves across the floor knocking into other items as well as the dryer. We called LG and were told it is no longer under warranty, but shaking was due to an unstable floor. I told her the floor has not changed, only the washing machines performance. The representative stated that all of the washers shake a little, this was to be expected. I asked if there was a part that could be replaced to stabilize the machine. She said no, there was no such part.A few days later, I looked up an appliance repair company that works on LG appliances in our area. The repairman told me LG had this problem and it just needed the struts replaced. So we had them replaced. It was better, but not as stable as before, not like any of the previous washers Id had throughout my life. I trusted LG to be an upgrade in quality. It was not. After only six months, it is as bad or worse than before the struts were replaced.Additionally, weve put heavy duty pads underneath. It just walks right off the pads, tipping over as if it will fall on its side. This washer is worse than the old wringer type with the incredible noise and the bouncing and moving. My husband and I have to restrain it or turn if off. And like some of the other owners, it does have a stinky, moldy smell. Mold is not normal in a machine designed to clean. Ive been leaving the door open after each wash, spraying inside the drum with Lysol or Windex.Cleaning clothes is an effort toward good hygiene. Moldy water defeats that purpose. Yes, standing water creates mold, but what is wrong with a design that causes mold to proliferate like this. Perhaps Maytag, Kenmore, or GE could teach the engineers at LG something about designing for public use. If this were normal, as the rep would have us believe, it would seem appropriate to include these features in the sales material - LG Front loading washer has a normal smell of mold in the machine which naturally transfer to your clothes. Another very normal feature that astounds LG consumers is the washers ability to mimic a wild bucking bronco, leaping and jumping out of its stall. It is a relatively expensive purchase. Consumers expect quality to equal cost to equate value. I dont want to feel like I have been duped and bought a piece of trash. LG has changed my opinion of its products - washer & dryer, refrigerator, microwave, internet TV - I cant trust them no more! We believed that your Life is Good motto included us, not just you.

Updated on 04/01/2020: Please, would someone contact me from LG? You sent a very nice repairman in February. He said the dishwasher was not level, so he leveled it. Now, we set it to wash a load, it plays music after about 3 minutes and shuts off. We set it again, the same thing. We set it again and it may or may not continue washing. We set it TWICE last night before retiring and this morning, its filthy. 1- when I reported this problem after repair, no response. 2 - The dishwasher pods are pricey to begin with but more expensive when loads have to be rewashed. Would you please arrange a repairman appointment? PLEASE!Original review: We are in the home building business, so its not as if we purchase appliances every 25 years. LG has left us extremely disappointed. Dishwasher: 3 hours 45 minutes for a wash cycle??? The standard cycle fails to do a decent job unless its half empty and even then we end up washing by hand. If it didnt cost us an arm and leg Id bash the front it and throw it on the curb.Fridge: The drawers consist of plastic high & lows. Liquids & crumbs get stuck and no way to get out. Embarrassing to the point that we cringe when anyone outside the family open the doors. Ice maker is pathetic, makes about 1/2 quart of ice. Range: The vents face the burners so when the oven is on and we have pots or pans on the burners cooking, the head from oven hits the pots. So hot that a couple hands have been burned. Had to purchase the silicon half mitts to keep on the handles to avoid injury. My mothers old Whirlpools are so much better. Not only a disappointment but we feel we wasted a few thousand dollars. :-(

Purchased an LG fridge about 6 months ago. Over two weeks ago it began not cooling well and progressively got worse, soupy ice cream, rotting veggies etc... Called the place we bought it from Goedekers online. They forwarded us to LG since it was under a year old. Goedekers made some calls but even the President Steve Goedeker said he cant do much. Unbelievable, these companies are happy to take your money but have no problem leaving you and your family high and dry.LG has been a nightmare to deal with, the first week was wasted speaking to representatives that barely understood English. Finally request someone to come out on their website hoping that will get someone to come out and help us... After many phone calls, many lies, many conversations of no one caring (we are a family with a son under 2 years old etc... in a rural area) its over two weeks now and not even a phone call or servicer has been sent out to even diagnose our fridge. I even found a tech willing to come out and provided LG all the info - found out later through another source that spoke to their dealer department that they denied him because they didnt want to pay him standard rates. They spoke to another servicer in our area and they didnt approve his rates either and kept trying to talk him down as well. They have chosen to not help us and keep our family waiting to try to pay low rates to local service repair men. Youd think theyve spent at least that much paying their employees to make so many calls trying to negotiate ridiculously low rates. Why not just do the right thing and service the customer??? They have put us off, delayed and delayed any kind of progress just to pinch pennies and negotiate with service repairmen to see who will take their low negotiated rates. SO WRONG. My advice NEVER EVER EVER buy LG, our fridge was a $2700 fridge and it is not working in 6 months. They could not care less. Dont buy from online places, buy at your local appliance Ma and Pa place. Someone who will actually care, and hold true to some values.

We also purchased LG washer/dryer, high end stainless steel. Washer is ok but we have experienced same problems as many others. The dryer LG Tromm DLE3777W never dried clothes correctly. It takes 90 minutes to dry an average load of clothes. An energy star product it is not. The repair guy gave us the same ** about the vent being dirty or clogged. Never was the case. Actually sounds like the repair guy was reading off a script. The second time to the house, the repair guy stated that the dryer was operating as designed. The real problem is that Home Depot is selling this stuff. Home Depots reps are promoting this stuff and LG doesnt stand behind their product. Two options: contact the Better Business Bureau in your state (they are usually really good) and the second option is contact your state Attorney General. LG is selling a defective product and that, in every state, is fraud.

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator on 4/17/2017. On 8/20/2020 the unit stopped cooling. I contacted LG on 8/21/2020 and they confirmed the unit was under warranty and dispatched a local technician to come on 8/27/2020. Technician came as scheduled and basically said LG is known for making faulty compressors and he had about 40 other homes waiting for compressors. I followed up weekly but the parts were on backorder. On 9/11/2020 I received a call stating they could return to fix the unit on 9/17/2020. On 9/17/2020 technician arrived and stated the issue was not the compressor but the tank which holds the coolant. He said he should have the part in 2-3 days. After 5 days of not hearing from them I spoke to LG headquarters who confirmed the local technician did not know the issue so they dispatched a different local technician to arrive on 9/25/2020. The technician did not arrive on 9/25/2020 so I called LG HQ again and they stated the technician cancelled the appointment but did not know why I was not made known of this. They stated corporate approved a defective return number for my home also known as a DNR number but I had to call 888-412-8357 to follow-up. I called that number and waited 2 hours but nobody ever came to the phone. I tried again today, and no luck. I would stay away from LG appliances in all as this has been a nightmare for my family.

I think the LG refrigerator, and the brand is high quality, readily available and also presented value. I think the brand is close to whats considered as luxury at a price that doesnt represent luxury. I think its a great, everyday appliance for families and single people such as myself. Stays up to date. Id personally leave what I had as is. If Im the brand Id stay that way as well. If they want to be with Meile and Viking, maybe up the luxury and modernize the look ever so sightless and charge a higher price. For me, the brand is pretty much ideal. I chose LG because I thought it was a good choice to be in the middle of tiers that include Frigidaire and some and the top which includes Viking and a few. I think the brand presents excellent value, overall.

We purchased the front load washer and dryer in December 2010. The pretty red ones! What a mistake! Actually, no problems with the dryer, except it doesnt seem to dry as well as it did in the beginning. I always have to add a click or two to the automatic dry time. The washer broke this June 2011. We had Geek Squad come out, it took four weeks for them to get back to replace the drum and three other pieces that attach to the drum. Four weeks! Then it broke again six weeks later. Same thing, we tried to get Geek Squad out again and they are so hard to work with to schedule a time. They should realize people have jobs! I called Best Buy to get help and they gave me LGs direct line. She was very helpful and friendly. But then the service tech called and his first words were, Do you agree to pay for this service call? and told us it was not the drum, it was a shock absorber. He hadnt even been to the house! He just told us this by the description. He wasnt coming out until we agreed on the phone to pay for the service call. Forget it. We are going to buy a new washer tonight. It will not be an LG. Such a hassle and disappointment, $1000.00 wasted. Pretty red machine...too bad it is a piece of crap!
