Our less than 2 year old LG refrigerator stopped cooling and the freezer quit making ice on a Saturday or Sunday. When we realized it at 9pm on Sunday we called LG right away and that’s when the run around started. By Tuesday we had logged 8 phone calls to customer service. The representatives just read from a script and told us they had to send a work order to the repair people and it takes 3-5 business days. We tried to tell them the service people they mentioned in our city told us they wouldn’t work on LG (we’d already called) so they were wasting their time. We gave them the name of the closest service person willing to come out and even offered to pay him if LG could just reimburse us and LG refused. The service guy is standing by 30 miles away just waiting for the go ahead from LG before he heads to our house. He’s been screwed over by them before so he’s not willing to come out until he has the order in writing. This is now Friday and we’ve logged 12 calls to LG, 1 to Consumer Reports, 1 to BBB and 1 to our local consumer reporting agency. Unfortunately we purchased all new black, stainless, LG kitchen appliances when we remodeled our kitchen and if we go buy another refrigerator the color won’t exactly match the other appliances, but I think that may be our next step. My advice is to stay away from LG. They don’t stand behind their products and their customer service is terrible!

I purchased an LG Top loading washing machine from PC Richards in Levittown NY. I purchased the Machine in June 2020 and the machine has broke twice already! I called PC Richards to repair the machine as I bought the extended warranty. The machine is leaking from the bottom and it sounds like a lawn mower!! PC Richards was horrible. I have an elderly mother I care for who is on Hospice. When I asked how long until a repair operator can come out to fix they said a week or 2!!! That is ridiculous. I have water in my house and I cant use the washer. I have 6 people with no clean laundry. I spent over a $1000.00 for this machine and the best PC Richards can do is say it is what it is. I feel like a prisoner. How am I supposed to care for my dying parent who needs clean sheets and laundry daily!!!

I had the LG SolarDOM in South Africa, the best microwave I ever had, but sold it when I emigrated to Malta. I couldnt find a SolarDOM there and bought the NeoChef which is also good but not great. I then emigrated to Panama and bought another Neochef. Not as good as the one I had in Malta and less accessories. I also bought a LG Dishwasher in Panama, which has a known design flaw. It stopped working within 6 months and I logged a ticket with LG. The repair company came to check it and I gave them all the details of the faulty part and the replacement part. Then nothing happend and Ive moved to another part of the country in the meantime. Id love to have another LG SolarDOM however it seems that LG stopped manufacturing it. After the dishwasher incident, Ill only buy LG microwave ovens and none of their other products.

Bought an LG french door, lasted all about a year, just stopped cooling. 6 repair attempts were made, none worked, so after months of not having a working refrigerator, LG refunded our money. Well I went to Sears, bought a Kenmore. Well it is made by LG, but hoping to Kenmore standards. Now less than 3 years later, this one has also failed. LG may make good TVs and washing machines. But they need to get out of the refrigerator department, complete failures, TWICE!!

The ice machine built in to the door is awful. If you dont use it on a daily basis, the ice cubes freeze together and none will come out. This is a CONSTANT problem. I asked about it and was told it had been fixed. I feel I was lied to.

Updated on 3/30/2020: So after a good amount of time I thought maybe maybe our problems with this LG fridge was over. LG sent out a repairman who was a nice guy and over two appointments he attempted to fix the problems. And now a week or maybe two weeks later it’s so much worse. Now after correcting the ice maker issue by adapting or changing lines from the freezer to the ice maker and doing something else with the freezer motor or what have you, we notice this morning water leaking from the door where the ice maker is located. After trying to clean up the water we realize it’s not cold in the ice maker compartment and then realize the freezer is not working and half the contents are thawed or half thawed. It must have been happening during the night at some point. Now we have all this food about to ruin soon. This fridge is a nightmare. It has been 4 years of hell. It is just a waste of almost $4,000 dollars!Original Review: I had many LG products when I bought my $4,000 fridge. I was so excited and for us that’s an expensive purchase. Within a year the problems started. We’ve had the fridge fail several times including the famous linear compressor problem now in class action suit. But water runs inside the walls and freezes in the middle drawer chiller section. It rusts the wheels or rollers and now we can’t use the middle drawer. Not a crisper drawer inside but the big whole drawer in the middle which costs you another 1k to have the 4 drawer fridge. It’s useless. They can’t find the parts for the back wheels. The front ones don’t fit. They’ve sent out repair people which we have to pay for and they’ve sent out a dozen parts all of which don’t work and we pay for. We’ve been dealing with customer service supervisor Alexandra ** for 6 months and she can’t or won’t get anything done. LG is a scam company stealing money from consumers!!!

I have a LG microwave model SolarDOM. It was not working. Called the technician. Opened the oven and looked at it. Thats all he could do. He was not competent or trained to do more. Asked to take it to LG service center in Trivandrum, India. The technician in the center dropped the oven. Called me to pick up the oven. When I took it home, the front glass was again broken. They didnt say a word. I recommend not to buy LG products in Trivandrum, as there are no honest customer service centers.

Noise! Popping, knocking noises from my LG side-by-side Refrigerator! At first, I only noticed it happening at night. Now, they are happening in daytime as well. Sometimes, it is really loud! The sound comes from the inside. Sometimes, it was from the fridge or from the freezer. I have tried reporting this to their Customer Service Department but I come to a conclusion that they must not have one because I have never had a reply!

LG fridge bought in Aug. 2017. Worked good for almost 2 years, and then the madness started in July 2019. As of today the compressor has been changed, then a 2nd trip to fix a leak supposedly, 2 weeks after that the ice maker quits working. Technician is now saying it is the flanges on the freezer doors not sealing properly. Technician orders parts and I get a call today from the parts department saying that parts are on backorder and they have no clue how long it may be. I will never buy an LG appliance again. $2000.00 just does not buy you what it used to. If LG would just own up and say they are selling a defective product and make it right, it might not be so bad. But all they keep doing is kicking the can down the road. I am officially, over it. If something is not done soon, I am to the point of trying to see if I can do anything legally. There has to be a lemon law or something like that on products like this.

We bought an LG washer and dryer in March of 2014 from Lowes. Fortunate for us, we bought the extended warranty. In that time until now both machines have been serviced by at least 5 different visits. The washer is the main culprit. It will not complete an entire wash cycle without errors or not washing them at all. The technicians who come and repair them stated these machines are the worst to repair. They really could not find a certain problem but continue to throw parts at them. The dryer would not heat or dry clothes but seems to be doing better for now. The washer decided to give us a new code last night when it it began to quit yet again, OE. Reading online this is an error with pump malfunction, kinked drain tube or filter. Now after checking tube and drain, neither is clogged, but now the washer will not drain and has foul smelling water in it. At this point we are done with these machines. We are going to look for a new washer today, preferably with manual controls. We will keep the dryer until it breaks again, which is likely. These machines being a little over two years old should not be breaking down so often. I will not buy another, ever again, and warning others to do the same. The warranty is almost up and rather having to sit around all day on the appointment day waiting for a technician arrive, we will just take the loss and get another washer. Serial numbers 312PNYU60066 washer, 307KWFN7A275 dryer.

My three-year-old LG front loader washer (WM2301HR) started making grinding noises as it slowly stopped tumbling and spinning. After pulling the back panel off, I discovered the splines in the rotor were worn smooth. This is a warranty part - 10 years. LG will only provide the part if I call an authorized LG tech to my house. $100 to show up, plus $60 per hour to replace a $70 part. Are you kidding LG? Never again. Never again.

Bought a LG Top loading washing machine WT5270CW and the motherboard failed in 2 1/2 months. The failure caused the washing machine to continue filling up with water and overflowing onto the floor. It flooded out our garage and fortunately was discovered before it flooded the entire home. LG warranty service is horrible. They have you troubleshoot it, so they can save the cost of a repairman coming out. Their LG repairmen never call you nor show up for schedule appointments. LG, themselves, when you question what is going on, admit they dont have the parts on hand to fix it. Come to find out, my parts are on back order for 7-10 days. They further tell you that they have 30 days to fix or replace. In the meantime, I have dirty clothes piled to the roof. Do Not Buy LG! Never so unhappy with a product and company.

LG Top Load Washer Model WT5070CW Junk! I cant believe with all the complaints listed here for all the same problems, a class action lawsuit cant be generated. I am now part of this long list of dissatisfied customers. Rust around the bleach dispenser, ruining clothes (this is supposed to be acceptable?). Replaced a plastic coupler for $225 two weeks ago (hmmm... There are only two LG tech companies within a 50 mile radius of our home). Now, another problem, I am told my software has to be updated with a new main board and I need a new clutch. By the time Im finished, I can purchase a new (American made) machine. We are empty nesters, have very little laundry and the machine is 3 years old. It is a piece of crap. I would never recommend purchasing from this company. Terrible out-of-the country customer service offering very little help - not to mention a horrific language barrier. It sounds like they read a script and say the same things over and over offering no resolution. In fact, Ive called twice in one night and have gotten different answers from the CSRs. Buyer Beware!!!

Updated on 10/03/2019: LG phoned today regarding my review. Since I didnt have a haul away receipt, there was nothing they could do and since I didnt purchase another LG product, they couldnt help with the cost. They dont care about the customer, as they say they do. I spoke to LG many times during the 3 months I was without a refrigerator and asked that they replace the unit or give me a buyout with no response. An Appliance repair company e-mailed them after speaking to a person in the executive services and asked that they contact me regarding a replacement or buyout, but, of course, they never did.Original review: Do not purchase! I spent 3 agonizing months trying to get the compressor replaced. Every time a technician came they said it wasnt the compressor and changed the fan, door magnet, and adjusted the sensitivity in the door light. Finally I had to call another appliance repair company due to the fact that their warranty company is horrible. Then, it took many weeks to get LG to authorize them to do the work. Finally, the technician began to install the compressor that LG sent 3 months prior. LG had sent the wrong compressor for this model. When the correct compressor was installed, it didnt fix the problem. After many calls to LG, they would not replace the refrigerator, nor give me a buyback. My 18 month old refrigerator is now in the dump and I am very happy with my new GE.

We purchased an LG fridge and stove from Home Depot on January 3, 2014. We were given a date for delivery of Jan 24, 2014. So my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery. At 9:30 am we received a call from Home Depot asking if we had received a call from LG with our delivery time? We answered, no, we had not, and Home Depot staff said he would call LG to see when it was coming. Several hours later with no return call from anyone I called Home Depot (2:30 pm), only to be told that our products were out of stock and would now not be delivered until Feb 4, 2014. So upset over taking a day off and not even the smallest of respect for LG to call and inform us that our products were not coming, we wait until the next date. For Feb 4th comes and again my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery (surely if it was not coming today LG would have called to inform us). By 11 am we heard nothing so I placed a call to LG myself. It was at this time I was given the run around. I asked her if it was customary for them to not call their clients to inform them that their delivery is not coming. She told me it was Home Depots responsibility (I spoke with Home Depot and the told me it was their responsibility). I explained that I felt that was horrible customer service to not provide common courtesy. I let her know that it cost us money to stay at home for the 2 days and they couldnt pick up the phone. The customer services lady could not help me and when I asked to speak to a manager the manager would not take my call and instead gave me the number to call the delivery department. It was then I spoke with them and was told that it wasnt coming today either and had no idea when it was coming. Eventually we found out another delivery date of Feb 12. I wonder if I will ever get the items I paid for??

Door in door latch mechanism fails to function 95% of the time, defeating the purpose because handle opens both doors at once. Design flaw causes frustration every time we open the fridge. Within 6 weeks of purchase, our washer would not turn on. We followed online instructions for a hard reset and were able to keep the machine running for a few weeks, then that process no longer worked. We called LG who scheduled technician. Purchase date July 26, first repair was mid September. Panel replaced. Washer worked for 4 loads and stopped turning on again. We called a second time. A week later a Tech came. He could not diagnose the problem even with another tech on the phone. Ultimately reported back to LG that our outlet was faulty or not properly grounded. We KNEW this was untrue because we had our electric upgraded years ago. We could not get another tech out until we proved we had proper electric. We paid out of pocket $170 for an electrician to come and test our outlet and amperage. There was NOTHING wrong with our home wiring. He suggested was a cord issue. We reported this to LG agents and were told a tech would come back with cord and replace. Tech came a week later. NO cord had been ordered. We were told it was on back order. This was third visit. Our original call to agents informed us that 3 calls to the home and our appliance would be replaced. That was third visit. (And it occurred on Oct 15 which was over a month without a washing machine.) We were told cord was on back order and would not be available until some time early November. Every time we called (four times) we were told something different about when the part would be available. The technician told us he would recommend replacement. He requested copy of receipt. We sent texted image to tech and assumed all was in place. Two weeks later, on Oct. 30 I called again for an update. I was told (after speaking to THREE DIFFERENT AGENTS) that the tech had not submitted recommendation for replacement.Agent contacted tech who said we had not provided receipt of purchase. I was also told by agent Arthur that the part on back order had in fact been sent to the technician on Oct. 23rd. (Per Arthur this came from Jamie in parts dept.) I demanded replacement. Was told to upload receipt to a portal emailed to me (which I did) and a replacement review would be implemented. Per agent Ivan this would take about 5 business days. The next day the technician called and wanted to schedule a Saturday visit for repair, because miraculously he did in fact have the part after all. My husband and I were both unable to be home, he worked and my father is seriously ill) so we declined that Saturday repair. I also was afraid that if he came out and was still unable to repair the washer it would cancel the process in motion for a replacement.I also reported this conversation to Ivan, as he called me back that same Thursday to check in and inform me that he had received my uploaded document as requested. He agreed that another repair attempt may further muddy the situation. Six business days later I called LG again and spoke to agent Mary. She said the technician had submitted a recommendation but not a request and the process had to begin again. I was furious. It was now one week into November and I am still paying for laundromat services to have clean clothes WHILE making payments to Lowes for the non working washer. Ultimately, I called from another phone to the tech on speaker (his number was on his business card) while agent Mary was on the other phone on speaker and insisted they speak to each other. The tech said he had done everything he was supposed to do and was tired of people dragging him back into the situation. He hung up on me (the tech) and Mary the agent was very apologetic but had no recourse besides starting over with the replacement appeal. The next day, the technician called my husband and said he could come that very day and replace the cord. (Funny how when people are forced to communicate in front of the customer, miracles happen.)My husband allowed him to come. He replaced the top selection panel, the front panel and the power cord. He said if the washer stops working now we will have to get it replaced because there is nothing left to repair. That was November 7th. One week later, the washer is functioning properly and I am still catching up on my wash. This took from September 12 to Nov 7th --FIFTY SIX DAYS (almost two full months, and nearly twice as long as we owned the washer before it stopped working), four technician visits, three parts replaced, out of pocket cost for an electrician to test our power (though we knew that was not the issue) and at LEAST 12 CALLS to LG to resolve.I have been a home owner since 1991. NEVER EVER in my life have I experienced more frustration in dealing with customer service. After the second unsuccessful attempt to repair an BRAND NEW washing machine we should have been offered a hassle free replacement. LG not only sells a product they cant repair, they have no willingness to make things right with their customers. I will tell everyone I know about this experience and discourage them from purchasing any product LG makes. I will never even CONSIDER their products in the future. Lifes Good ?? Not for LG customers.

This expensive appliance is a total waste of my money. Thought I was buying top-of-the-line washer, so spent a bit more. My laundry comes out with obvious dirty marks on it, which must be mold being slung onto the fabric. I dont have confidence that anything is really clean. I have had black streaks on white slacks, sheets, blouses, etc. It is disgusting. I have to hand-wash these marks out the best I can; dont always come clean. Have also thrown out 2 full sets of towels due to looking so nasty & dingy. They do NOT come clean. Also have had problems with the balance, where the machine will not spin out the water with 7 minutes left in the cycle. It keeps adding more water, trying to weigh the load, but cannot spin. Wind up having to pull dripping wet clothes out, finish rinsing the best I can in the bathtub, try to hand-wring these heavy items, and let the dryer run way too hard to dry them. Dont ever buy an LG front-load washing machine. Got this in January 2010; it was manufactured 11/10/2009. It is a piece of JUNK!

We have a 5 month old refrigerator that has not been cooling since 11/15/2016. A tech named Jerry came on 11/16/2016 and told us that he will need to call a supervisor for assistance moving the refrigerator in order to repair it but he will call us back that afternoon. (By the way, it’s on rollers. My husband and I were able it with no issue and I’m 7 months pregnant.)We did not hear back from Jerry until a week later on 11/21/2016 even after multiple voicemails. When we called customer service for assistance because we couldnt reach the tech we were told that there was nothing they could do until the following Monday. We went all weekend without a refrigerator and had to throw out ALL of our food. When a different tech finally showed up on Tuesday 11/22/2016 we were told it would be another week (after Thanksgiving) before repairs could be done. Now we have to wait until 11/28/2016 (please remember that the refrigerator stopped working on 11/15/2016).In the meantime I have no way of storing milk for my two-year old whos been eating fast food every day because we have no way of keeping food cold. I called and spoke with corporate supervisor LeeAnn who was extremely unhelpful and rude. She told me I’d just have to wait a week and didn’t offer any solutions or to help us a bit. From the second she came on the phone, she was argumentative and acted as if I was inconveniencing her. We’ve had to call all of our family and cancel Thanksgiving. I understand that it’s Thanksgiving week and that getting someone out to repair the refrigerator might be an issue; however, we actually called the issue in a week before Thanksgiving. If something had been done then we wouldn’t be in the predicament!

The repairman said the he has had numerous complaints about the LG, and that this should not have happened. I am going to try to get LG to assume some responsibility, but after seeing the comments below I am not optimistic.

My LG washer was purchased at least 12 years ago, and it has worked almost flawlessly since then. The only problems are that the door needs a yank to get it opened and I have to be careful not to put in too much detergent or it will leak. My biggest complaint with this front loader is that it sounds like an airplane taking off during the spin cycle.

Worst customer service ever! Weve been without a refrigerator 2 1/2 weeks and made 10+calls to LG to get numbers for authorized repair places only to be told theyre too far away or dont even work on LG- how can a company who manufactures a product not be able to find you a place to do a repair for their crappy product??? Today we finally got a call from someone authorized and willing to do repair and LG is now giving us a hard time ordering the parts (compressor) that we were told numerous times are under warranty. Not so much the disappointment in the product (2 yr old refrigerator) as much as the horrible cs to make me never buy that brand again.

Our LG gas dryer quit drying. The motor would run and the drum would turn. Also, air came out the vent but no heat. We called Sears Service and they came out. The technician took the dryer apart and after a few minutes discovered that close to the burner is a resettable thermostat all hidden underneath and of course, nothing in the manual mentioning a resettable part. Good design would have made that something the owner could find and reset. (Were not all idiots.) The manual, which is best described as poor pidgin English. We have had a great deal of trouble getting clothes completely dry. I am disappointed in the quality of a machine which was very expensive.

Companies, if our children are disappointed with your product, How will the company remain in business if our children stop buying your product? I am wondering if any of you have had problems with LG Customer Service and, if so, what was the outcome. Please read the circumstances of my inquiry below: We have been talking to LG since July 28th when our French Door refrigerator stopped working. It was determined by one of their licensed repair people that it was the sealed system and that it was under warranty for parts. However, he does not work on sealed systems. We then contacted LG for additional repair people. We were given five names which we called. Each one said that they either do not repair the sealed system or would not service our refrigerator because it was out of their geographic area. We then turned it back to LG, filed the necessary paperwork requested by LG and was assigned case number **. The case has gone from the Location Services Department to Resolution Department and back twice. We have talked to 5 plus people in the process, all who say it will be 3 to 5 days and they will get back to us which they never have. We have just talked to “Willie” who said that the case is in the Location Service Department once more and it will be 48 hours before he will know what the determination is from that department. Supposedly they are looking for a person to repair it. We are still without a refrigerator and I am at my wits end. In 5 more days it will be one month that we have been dealing with this issue.

I am completely shocked at the lack of accountability LG is demonstrating in our failed refrigerator compressor. We bought this refrigerator from Home Depot three years ago and the compressor failed in June of this year. When I called LG (who documents that they warranty their compressors for 10 years!), they directed me to their rip-off extended warranty department who charged me $450.00 for an extended warranty. After the service person came out and let them know it was the compressor, they said the parts are unavailable and they canceled my warranty without my permission, refunding my credit card MINUS $100.00 for the service person who diagnosed the problem! The contract of the warranty states they cannot cancel my warranty unless they give me 30 days notice in writing. After all of this happened I did some research online and it appears that our refrigerator is a lemon and LG is taking no responsibility for selling thousands of crappy appliances. We have spent hours on hold and hours talking to customer service people at LG who have no authority to do anything to help us. I am so disillusioned with this company and will stick to GE for any future appliance purchases. Hopefully this review will save someone else the frustration of dealing with LG.

After much research and review we purchased the 6.3 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Single Oven Range with True Convection and EasyClean. He ordered it on December 29, 2014 and it was delivered in February 2015. Apparently it was not constructed until January of 2015. So I was excited for a brand new stove. I am an avid baker and love to cook. So having this stove was exciting!Fast forward to October 19, 2016. Woke up early and went to heat water for tea. My LED screen had a time on it that was incorrect, so I tried to update the clock. Nothing worked. I freaked out and checked all the circuit breakers etc. Nothing then the screen went black. Fast forward to today, when they could finally come out to look at it. I need a new panel...Shocker. Its not even two years old. Good thing is that I purchased an extended warranty. But I have been without a stove for 7 days and it will be an additional 10 days until the part comes in. My guess is that this is a common problem. This is my first and LAST LG purchase. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I recently moved into a new house that came with 1 HE LG Washer & 1 HE LG Dryer (Model DLE2150S). When I saw it was an LG brand coming into the house, I knew that I would be in lots of trouble. Needless to say, a little over a month of moving in and our HE dryer now does not turn on. I looked the simple troubleshooting in the manuals and it did not work. I then turned to the worst customer service I have ever experienced.I called LG Canada. I got to this lady who then proceeded to ask me what was wrong. I informed her and she asked me if I have unplugged it. I told her yes I have and plugged it back in. She asked me Well, Maam, how long did you unplug it? and I replied (knowing most computers take 10 sec to reload) 10 seconds. She replied, Oh no Maam, you must unplug for 30 min at least. Well how the heck was I supposed to know? After you do that, then plug it back in to reset and if it still has trouble turning on, which I highly doubt it will, you must contact sellers warranty. Well needless to say, it still doesnt turn on. Thanks for your useless and crappy service LG!

LG Washer WT1201CW - This machine is a piece of crap! We purchased this machine from Home Depot back on 1/5/2014. It is constantly out of balance. And it does NOT have anything to do with the load size. I have put in queen size sheets that will take up to 2 1/2 hrs to wash! Again, not overloaded, since I was told when I purchased it that it could handle a King Size comforter. And I select the bed/bulky cycle. And lets not discuss doing a load of towels. And my whites are no longer white! How can this machine be Energy Star when my old washer from 15 yrs ago washed the same load in less than an hr. I hate this machine. My girlfriend bought the same machine & returned it within 10 days because of its poor performance. The only reason I still have it is because it cost me an arm & a leg to purchase & I cannot afford to replace my appliances every 5 yrs. It also says that it is a TrueBalance. Right! I just put in a 1/2 load of whites at 7:40. It is now 9:45 with another 15 minutes to go, according to the display. But that is all dependent as to whether I need to shuffle my half load around again to TrueBalance it out again. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE! It is a piece of crap! I will never buy another LG appliance! Oh excuse me, I just needed to re-position my half load of whites. Another 20 minutes added onto the display.

We purchased our LG Refrigerator on 04/25/2017 and we were excited to have the French doors, added space and the two freezer doors. Our previous refrigerator (GE) is still running strong and is well over 10 years old and has had no problems. Less than 3 years of owning our LG, the freezer can no longer reach 32 degrees and the temperature in the refrigerator is 40+ and the ice maker no longer makes ice. It’s disappointing that a refrigerator less than three years old, cost $2,000 and conveniently just recently became too old for warranty coverage is now breaking down. We are currently looking at repair options and have heard it’s likely the compressor and that fix could cost $1000. We will see. I am happy though that we are fortunate to still have our GE refrigerator running strong. Disappointed in the quality and durability of our LG refrigerator. I expected more.

We bought this LG fridge in 2015. By 2019, the compressor had to be replaced as we got the “FF” error. Apparently this means “Freezer Fan” but LG never replaced the fan. Now in 2021, I fought in vain for LG to pay for the freezer fan failure which happened again. They should have changed the fan in 2019 itself when the unit was under warranty. Having paid for the freezer fan mused and losing all my food, now the compressor has failed again. The executive department of LG - no one is even answering the phone. Voice of the customer/ office of the President is a joke. They don’t care about customer sentiment and bulldoze you. I complained to Texas Attorney General earlier in 2021 During the freezer fan fiasco. Then LG offered to pay $275 which I denied as it didn’t cover the cost of repairing the fan. Now the compressor from 2019 is broke again. No one to talk to at LG! Pathetic.

(Re: LG Tromm WM1841CW) I moved in with my GF, leaving my old cheap top load behind for the new tenant and thinking hey, why not, the GF has an expensive LG; more expensive, a lot more expensive, so it must be better, right? Wrong! On top of the musty odors, I swear I am gaining rather than losing stains on my clothing. These look like grease stains. Certain materials seem more prone, such as cottons, especially softer cottons. LG suggests all this ** about cleaning the door seal, door, and tub at minimum daily. What a load of **! What, the consumer has to fix LGs bad design problems? And this thing cost more than a thousand. My 50-dollar secondhand washer never had these problems and got things clean. Save your money and you mind and buy yourself a good ol’ cheap top loader. Going forward, I will hand fill (over fill) the tub with super-hot water and pout in a couple cups of bleach and let it wash for a few minutes before letting it sit for a few hours. As for the laundry, I will see about over filling it with water to get the wash actually clean.

LG makes it difficult for repairmen to buy parts. This forces you to use their customer service. I understand the rationale in this, it can help the company ensure the machine gets fixed by an LG approved repairman. Having said this, the LG customer service is based in the Philippines. I dont blame the workers there who are trying their best, however, their training and product knowledge is so limited they are unable to think rationally about a course of action for my problem. I cant prove this, but it seemed that my calls with questions about my LG washer-dryer (which broke 5 times in 2 years) prompted the service centre to consult a script instead of thinking and answering. I wondered this because their answers did not address my question. Based on the other reviews Ive read, this will be my first and last purchase of any LG product. It seems they are designed to be attractively cheap, but break easily, then have poor service to correct the problems. I will never endorse this company to any colleagues.

Bought LG appliances for our new home a year ago; love the refrigerator & stove, but hate the dishwasher! I too, wish I had researched this website before purchasing. The dishwasher does get bad odors occasionally, & my husband checked the filter in it, but it was clean. I put a cup of vinegar in a wash cycle of dishes & it went away. The reason there was no food in the filter is because we thoroughly rinse, almost wash, the dishes before we run it 1-2 times a week! Very disappointed in the cleansing of the dishes! If a knife had mayo on it when put into the dishwasher, even a small amount, its still on there when it comes out! Doesnt clean coffee stains out of cups, either. I would never buy another LG Dishwasher or recommend it! It is very quiet, but I would trade the noise, for clean dishes! No other problems so far!

We purchased an LG washer. I love the fact that without the middle paddle you can wash large items like king size spreads and comforters and all the clothes actually are treated more gently. I do not like buying new if the old is still working. Being able to get parts and having really good people who can and will work to keep the old model going. Regular repairs is a nightmare. Been there and done that, days without your appliance and you have to wash most days to keep the family in clean clothes and towels etc. Also low quality construction, which usually means noise pollution and the appliance walking all over the floor or pulling loose from the connections and the room being flooded. This LG washer that I bought was the same price as for the Maytag that I had purchased 20 years before. It is high quality construction, stays where it is supposed to when it spins. Large size drum that washes very small loads with much less soap and water, or very large items like winter coats, king size bedding, comforters, etc. One thing I do not like is that everything rinses in cold water no matter which setting you use, and I like to be able to decide what temperature I want for the wash cycle and the temperature I want for the rinse. But all in all, that is the only thing I do not like about these computer controlled washers.

I bought an LG Refrigerator #LFC25770 in November 2008. I paid over $1,500.00 for the French door style with bottom drawer freezer. The compressor keeps coming on and then clicks right off. The freezer thawed and the refrigerator no longer cooled. After doing research online, find that the cause might be the starter relay. I tried to order the part and it is no longer available. You now have to replace the relay, thermostat and compressor; should have been a warning that LG has had this issue before. I called LG customer service since the sealed system was still under warranty for parts. They gave me several contacts that did the warranty service for them. However, no one comes out to my location. I called LG back and they gave me several more names. I called all and once again either they dont service LG or they dont come to my area. Again, I called LG who gave me more names and numbers. Did I mention the time I was wasting and the cost of long distance calls? I was told it was my problem since nobody would come out. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on. I called back and asked for a supervisor and was transferred and explained the issues with LG and he said he would make the calls and try to find someone. To say I am not happy with LG would be putting it mildly. The products and the service suck.

The repair people have had my refrigerator for 4 weeks. They have replaced not only compressor but numerous other parts. I am afraid to get it back.

This is the worst washer I have ever used!!! It takes me 3 - 5 hours to do a load of clothes! VERY RARELY will it wash without me having to reset the load up to 5 or 6 times per cycle! With my laundry room in the basement I am constantly up and down the steps resetting the wash. I have NEVER been able to complete my wash in one day since buying this poor excuse for a washer 1 1/2 years ago!!!! Its not even worth 1 star but it wouldnt let me submit without at least 1.

We bought the LG refrigerator model LMXS27626S/00 in June 2015. We have had nothing but issues since then. The compressor has been replaced twice, lost hundreds of dollars on food we have to keep a small fridge for backup because we can trust this dollar water. And now again its not cooling. Waiting for repair man now.

We purchased a Kenmore Model 79551833412 side by side refrigerator that was manufactured for Sears by LG. This units compressor failed after 17 months. I came to learn there was a class action lawsuit filed against LG for this same issue which unfortunately was dismissed. Because my mother in law is 88 years old and the estimated cost of repair was nearly the cost of a new refrigerator we chose to purchase her a new refrigerator rather than wait for it to be repaired. Sears says their warranty is only one year but the Sears rep said that the manufacturer provides a longer warranty on the compressor but labor would not be included. I contacted LG to see if they would do anything for us. They said that our recourse was with Sears so they wont stand behind their product. Stay away from LG refrigerators.

We have an LG Refrigerator that sells currently at Home Depot 2016 for $3,500 that came with our home when we purchased it. We have owned many different name brand refrigerators during our 40 years of marriage and I can confidently state that LG Refrigerators are the worst weve ever owned. LG technicians cannot fix the constant sweating from the ice-maker that appears on the door and where the water and ice are dispensed. There is a known product defect in the ice maker that LG refuses to warranty so you need to purchase a replacement part with an LG Service Call for approximately $300 each time it blows out. Their 800# Tech Support is a joke since no understands or cares about your product difficulties. In short, nothing sucks like an LG. DONT BUY LG PRODUCTS!

We purchased an LG fridge August 2015. June 18, 2018 our fridge was not cooling or making ice. Compressor and fans all seem to be running. I have called and emailed LG customer service every single day since today being July 8 2018. I have submitted proof or purchase from our Lowe’s Synchrony credit card I was able to obtain. Submitted email directly from Lowes along with sticker on back of fridge. LG states this is not appropriate documentation and they have provided me numbers for service repairmen. Since reading everyone else review I have decided to just take this piece of crap unit to the dump and buy a unit that doesn’t cost $1,300. Because I am not paying a service repairman $600 Labor plus another $400 for a part that seems like will quit again in 2 more years. Don’t buy LG anything as their company sucks and they do not stand behind their products even though they stated compressor has a 10 year warranty. If you have one take it to the trash now and save you stress level. Thanks to this crappy product I’ve lost $400 in groceries and my newborns breast milk supply.

Purchased in Spring of 2015, and just before the year warranty went out, the ice maker quit working. After a week or two we got that fixed, and while waiting on that repair, my sons LG refrigerator stopped cooling and he was having major issues with getting it repaired b/c it was out of the year warranty (purchased Fall of 2014). Because he was having so many issues, we decided to buy the LG Extended Warranty, just in case, and it was over $500. So now were in for over $3000 for this refrigerator. FYI, my son junked his after several months b/c he could not find anyone who could/would work in it or even figure out what was wrong with it!!! THEN just this past month, July 18th we returned home from a weeks vacation and the refrigerator had stopped working, so we were up until late throwing out over $500 worth of food and cleaning a nasty refrigerator. My husband called them immediately and started the process of getting the repairs made using the LG Extended Warranty. It took him three calls to just get to the right people that might could help us, and they said it would be the end of the week before anyone could JUST look at it! Well, those folks never called the day before, as promised, so my husband starts calling again. Finally someone showed up on July 28th, but guess what? Its a sealed system and LG wouldnt let them work on it. My husband has spent hours on the phone going from person after person up the chain, and finally on August 2nd he got a supervisor that admitted that they had no one in the State of Louisiana that could even work on our refrigerator!!!We are waiting for a call by 2:00 today to see what they are going to do about the situation, to fix or replace... oh, and the LG Extended Warranty will only reimburse us for $250 of our food, not to mention weve had to eat out much more and buy a smaller refrigerator just to keep a few cold food items in! LG is a JOKE, both their refrigerators and their LG Extended Warranties!!! STEER CLEAR OF LG REFRIGERATORS!!! Ill let you know what happen when we hear back from LG.

I purchased a new LG top load washer from Home Depot 2 years ago and it has been a nightmare ever since. It cost $899 and I thought it was going to last at least 10 years, my other machine lasted 20 years. The unbalanced code happens on every wash, even with a few pieces of clothes in the machine, each load takes over 1 hour, even the quick load cycle of 35 mins, what is wrong with that picture??? LG service is of no assistance at all and does not know as much as the average consumer!!!Repairman says and I quote: give the machine to me and I can dispose of it for you, WHAT??? I promise one thing I will never, ever purchase any product from LG in my life. I now have to junk a 2 year old LG machine and get a $300 machine. So thanks to LG: add 899+300=$1199, for ONE washing machine that works! I feel so bad for all of us owning THESE PRODUCTS. Someone should be contacting us ASAP to take these LG machines back and give us a FULL REFUND to get a washing machine of our choice, THAT WORKS!

Very disappointed. If you have an LG refrigerator that has lasted more than three years without failure, consider yourself extremely lucky. LG, please do not respond to this with the canned phrase Thank you for notifying LG of the experience you have encountered thus far. This is not indicative of how we want our valued customers to feel. We’ll be happy to look into this and answer any questions that you have. Please send a private message so that we can assist you. First review I have ever written but due to the inferior product this company has produced I feel it is absolutely necessary. We purchased this LG Top Loading Washer Model WT5070CW in Sept. 2014 after losing our Kenmore in a house fire. This machine sprung a leak and flooded our house wrecking our new engineered floor. The 5 yr. extended warranty was purchased but that only helps with the repair bill. Home Depot tried to go to bat for us to get our insurance deductible back but no luck. When the repairman came out he said it was one cap that had come unglued and per a call to his superiors he was told to simply glue the cap back on. This was their big fix. First of all, why in the world is there only a glued on cap between the consumer and another very expensive flooded floor repair?! When the insurance company tried to work with them they said they doubted that is even what caused the problem... Really! Im taking this lousy company to small claims but doubt it will do any good. I think what caused the cap to come off is the amount of shaking and rattling this washer goes through during spin cycles! Like all stated before me, dont buy any of their products - absolute garbage! And shame on Home Depot and other companies for continuing to sell their sub-par products!

Several years ago my wife purchased an LG French door refrigerator. Almost immediately we began to hear weird noises from the freezer so we called in a service call. We were told it was ice forming in the back wall of the freezer and it was interfering with the fan blades. The tech told us the only cure was to unplug the refrigerator and let the ice melt. We did this and over the next several years were required to do it a number of times more. The tech told us it was a design flaw and LG would void the warranty if we called it in too often, that is if LG even responded. The ice drawer has no back to it and ice continually falls behind it and onto the bottom of the freezer under the freezer drawer. So that whenever you open the drawer, ice is pulled out onto the floor. Just tonight, my son noticed that there was a burning smell in the fridge and that several food containers were warm. Turns out the lights in the refrigerator are not turning off when the door is closed, so I had to unscrew the bulbs to prevent a fire or food spoilage. At this point I dont even think I will call LG as their service and warranty performance is either awful or nonexistent. Needless to say I will never buy another LG product and will vociferously deter anyone I know from purchasing one. As an aside, I received an LG Blu-ray player as a gift a while back and the first time it was hooked up, it didnt work either. It had to be returned for an exchange and while the second one worked it too has regular problems and has to be unplugged to be rebooted in order to function. I guess LG stands for Lousy Goods or Lotsa Grief.

After reading all the entries in this section, I thought Id let others know that you are not alone. In a nutshell, my LG frig (bottom freezer model LRFC22750SW) had to have the motherboard replaced 3 times in the first 2 years: the lights staying on problem happened twice and one time the light bulbs inside the fridge exploded in my face when I tried to remove them with an oven mitt. The clamps at the top of the doors broke off for no apparent reason. They just fell into my hand one day. The gasket around the fridge doors failed. The icemaker failed. The front dented after barely nudging it. The freezer was blasting frost throughout due to a relay switch going bad. But heres the kicker - there was a class action lawsuit filed due to the lights in the fridge staying on and melting the inside of the fridge. I joined the claim and they advised that my $408 for one of the repairs would be reimbursed. This was over a year ago and I have not received any reimbursement to date. What astonishes me is that some sites say LG refrigerators are in the top 10 of certain lists. I dont understand how this can be true, especially seeing all these complaints on this site. Needless to say, I will never buy another LG and I will never recommend the brand to anyone for any type of device.

The LG refrigerator belonged to one of my family members. Im assuming they got it because of its sleek design and functionality. It matched well with the other appliances in their kitchen as well. It worked extremely well and had great, convenient compartments. The display on the water/ice dispenser was attractive. I honestly really liked the fridge and there was nothing that I would have changed. It was a perfect fridge. The fridge had everything I would ever want and need in a fridge and more. Updated on 01/20/2020: I had hoped to update my review to at least Satisfactory, but NO. An LG repair man was here this morning, the refrigerator is seemingly fixed - but we will see. The problem is that when my husband talked to LG last week they said the cost of parts would be NO Charge. Then the guy gets here today and says only the compressor is covered - but in order to replace the compressor he has to literally break another part which WE have to PAY FOR! How is that even a thing? I am floored by this shoddy engineering. So, it costed us $360 to repair a part covered under warranty. To top it off the man was so rude to me, kept leaving the front door wide open, including the screen door which HE locked open, and we have a dog. I kept closing the door behind him - take a hint. Then, he moves the refrigerator back (almost to where it belonged) and created 2 long black marks across 3 of our floor tiles. He intended to leave without even addressing that. I grabbed a rag and tried to clean it up and it would not come clean. He said Give me that! (just like that) and tried to wipe it up himself, to no avail. He then grabbed something out of his little bag and started scraping the floor. The marks started to fade a little. He then stands up, says Here and hands me a small piece of sand paper. Now I have to clean this up?? I could hardly believe my eyes, but by this point I just wanted him to leave my house. I have never experience such poor customer service. This is day 9 without a fridge, taking up space in neighbors freezer, buying ice to keep everyday items cold! My initial thought still stands, no more LG for me.Original review: While other manufacturers allow major appliance warranties to be transferred, as when you buy a house, LG does NOT. So, the new owner a $3,000 refrigerator that fails is completely out of luck. Sad, I will NEVER buy another LG product, and if I ever buy another house, the brand of appliances will be a factor in decision. Shame on LG!

Our less than a year old LG Refrigerator LG LFX25974ST we bought from Best Buy (along with an LG double oven and LG dishwasher...) was a beauty when we looked at it in the store. It fit well with our theme, loved the stainless steel, specs, etc. Less than a year now, we opened the freezer to find all of our frozen food warm/melted and fridge warm. Some food spoiled, some we saved by running to the local gas station for ice.Called LG Appliance support, they said there was nothing they could do but send a technician. This happened on a Friday morning that we discovered the problem. Earliest a technician could come out is on Monday. Ugh, but okay, (by the way, ice isnt cheap) well live until Monday out of coolers, though completely not ideal and we had to go out of town Saturday, so we hoped to God the food would stay cool over the weekend if we packed it good enough. It survived, mostly. A lot of things we just threw out because we couldnt tell how long it had been warm for and didnt want to get sick.So Monday arrives, and the local company they sent out does not have the capability to fix/replace the Linear Compressor that is shot. (Our 1 yr warranty expires in 30 days, but luckily the compressor has a 10 yr warranty, some relief.) Our fear now is what if something else goes wrong on the fridge or the other two appliances we spent over $4k on at Best Buy! Thats a lot of money! We would have been better off buying a $500 refrigerator with a classic design and compressor that would last 20 years without issues. They sure saw us coming. So now, LG Appliances calls me back to say what the local tech already said-- they couldnt fix it so they need to find someone else that may or may not be able to do the work. The earliest is Thursday -- that will be 7 days without a refrigerator I paid an awful lot of money for and food wasted. They of course dont pay for any lost food, youre on your own there, but thats easily another $150-$200 worth.Though I bought the set from Best Buy - I dont blame them because its not their warranty, its LG Appliances -- who never offered an apology - not once - on any of the calls to them. I was cordial with them, thinking they would show a little more empathy for their customer -- they were not sincere or showed any signs they cared about their customer. I am so disappointed in this purchase it isnt even funny and I will never buy ANYthing LG again -- not appliances, not electronics, NADA! They should be ashamed of themselves for selling expensive JUNK.

One side that mnc is spending scores of rupees in advertisement and another side they are cheating with customer by supplying defective home appliances.Company representative telling me that fridge is not having that accessories but that can be proved clearly by given image that are missing. Now I will take that issue with consumer forum. I have purchased that on 25 Aug 2014 after seeing all the specification of that model. Now company not taking my issue seriously. They are saying that they have updated that model. Please tell me if that model is modified then how that places are vacant in my fridge which is clear in picture. Dealer is also agree to pay the amount of that attachment/Accessories to company but company now telling that accessories are not available. It is total disappointed if that accessories not available then why they are producing that model. Do the needful as soon as possible otherwise I will defame your lg product in social media and it will cost you badly. If you are serious for your company image then resolve that issue as soon as possible.

Top loading washing machine LG wt1101c purchased at home depot - My concern
Top loading washing machine LG wt1101c purchased at home depot - My concern is the excessive amount of water that it uses. I set the controls for bulky bedding for a test run. After many starts and stops in its cycle it finished its cycle. Then to my surprise it used 18 gallons of water in the wash cycle and an additional 18 gallons in the spin and rinse cycle. I have a 40 gallon hot water tank and it used it all… (I have a double wash tub that the used water is pumped into, dim 19-19-12= 4332 cu inches) 4332/231 = approx. 18 gallons per each side 18+18=36 gallons on a washing/rinsing cycle. There must be some cycles that use less water. The machine I understand, weighs the load and adds the correct amount of water. I have asked LG for a chart or list showing how much water per pound is used or for each setting. I received NO REPLY. There is nothing in the operational manual giving this information. Also there is a digital readout on the control panel that means nothing. For instance If it says 54 and it starts its countdown the washer will do a series of rotational jiggles and the countdown stops and does not keep track of the time correctly (it may say 54 but it takes 70 before it stops). The washer looks good, washes clean but the instruction manual needs to be rewritten to address these items and take into consideration this needed information. Thank everyone for permitting me to list my complaints and suggestions. If and when these suggestions are addressed I would like a revised instruction manual to be sent to me.

Options were priority #1 but cost vs options was a big consideration. Loved the steam dryer feature but wasnt a fan of the track record that front loading washers have with having to be cleaned regularly. However, thats been a minimal issue since we purchased them two years ago. Brand reputation and capacity is a plus as we have 2 kids and very busy schedules. Our need is to do large loads fast. So far thats been the result. Regular repair and low quality construction would be instant turn-offs for my wife and I. But we likely wouldnt look at anything that would fall into those categories anyway. We have the two red LG front loading washer and dryer set with the steam dry option. Were able to load the washer up with large amounts of clothes regularly and wash them quickly, and we actually saw a drop in our water bill after we brought them home. We opted against the pedestals, but were reconsidering that thought as they are a little short for a guy who is 63 and does his own washing. So far, not a single major issue.

They provided her with an authorized LG Service Center 50 miles from our house. The cost for the service center to make the service call to my home was $215 which included 1 hour of labor that would be applied to the service call and anything left over applied to the repair. It took the service center 1 week to make the service call. At 5 years my refrigerator has only a 7 year warranty on the compressor with no labor covered. The service call by the service center determined the compressor and motherboard were bad. The repairman only assessed the call for 15 minutes leaving 45 minutes toward repair. I was also told that I would have to get the parts from LG. Contacted LG for the parts and they said the service center would have to order the parts.I went back and forth for about a week between the service center and LG. Got an LG Case Number that was offered after about the 15th call to LG. I asked for a US based LG customer service rep and was told that does not exist. Today LG offered to send the Service Center a Part Authorization # so that they could order the parts. I am going on 3 weeks without a refrigerator functioning in my home. I was told the Part Authorization # will take at least 3 days. The service center says once they have the Part Authorization # it will take about a week to get the part. Then another week to come out for the service repair call. If you are thinking of purchasing an LG product you are out of your freakn mind.
