We bought an LG LFX319255/05 about 4 years ago. It stopped working. Had repairman come out. Compressor is bad (400). Covered. New a new mother board that is compatible with new compressor (400) not covered. Labor (400) not covered. 848.00 total with tax. The refrigerator cost 2,600! It also has started to pit/ rust on the door. Not happy at all. Would definitely not recommend LG ever again. The sad thing is several friends have bought one based on our recommendation.

My LG black stainless steel refrigerator all of the paint is chipping off - not a year old yet. I am very disappointed in this product and would like my money back for all because I feel the others will start chipping as well. They have already replaced two drawers on the ref. and now the French doors are chipping. I am very dissatisfied with LG black stainless steel. I still need to buy the dishwasher and the washer and dryer but I am afraid that all of the paint will chip off of those as well. Would not recommend LG black stainless steel to anyone.

We purchased an LG lsxs26326s side by side refrigerator (as well as a microwave, oven & dishwasher as we remodeled our kitchen) in April 2015. On Dec 16, 2016 it had stopped cooling. Fortunately, we have a 20+ yr old Kenmore in the basement we were able to move all the food to. Had our own repairman come out Sunday to see what the problem was. Determined the compressor in our ONE AND A HALF YEAR OLD refrigerator had gone out. Now, this part has a TEN YEAR warranty through LG (hm, maybe that should have told us something) HOWEVER, only the PART is covered NOT labor. Sunday night I call LG Service and after a very long and frustrating discussion with someone who barely spoke English, I was informed a Letter of Authorization would be sent by email to our repairman so he could order the part. I requested a rush on that letter as it was a week until Christmas & we had family coming from out of town. Monday, no letter. Tuesday, still no letter. I call again Tuesday night and am informed they tried calling the repairman and got no answer or return call (I know this is a lie as I spoke with them that day to confirm contact from LG). At this point, I demand to have the matter escalated and to speak to a manager. I get put on hold for a while and FINALLY get a manager, whom I might add speaks English clearly (YAY). She proceeds to tell me something completely different than I was told by the previous two reps. Stating they have to talk to the tech while they are at the refrigerator and able to guide them through what to check. THEN, once diagnosed as the compressor the letter of authorization would be sent so the tech could order the part, which would take 3-5 DAYS to receive!!!Now, I am getting angry. She tells me they had available techs on the 20th, 21st & that day (22nd) so I could have just had their tech come out and diagnose it and they would have had the compressor the next day. I told her there was no way in hell I was paying THEIR techs an arm & a leg to fix the refrigerator I purchased a YEAR & HALF ago when my guy was only charging me $60/hr!!! Her response was simply OH. Finally, she send the letter of authorization by email while still on the phone with me. Wednesday morning, I call my tech & they have the email (THANK GOD). They order the part. Thankfully, it comes on Thursday and our guy comes out that evening to replace it. Now, a month later, we are having problems with the ice maker not making ice. UGH!!! I wish we would have just gone with different appliances. I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase another LG product. Purchasing these appliances has literally been a nightmare. They should have paid us to take them for what we have been through with all these appliances!

We love the way our stove (LRG3095) looks with its beautiful cobalt oven, but we do not like that two of the burners are weak. I do not need a manufacturer to call one burner a power burner while another will barely boil a saucepan of water. All burners should have been equal, allowing me, the customer, to decide how high to turn the heat. Also, the top control panel sticks out more than 2 inches into the space of the back burners, so you cant really fit four pots on the range at once - extremely frustrating and really cuts into the functionality of this otherwise well-designed piece of equipment.

Lg tends to make really good electronics. I like that the lg refrigerator is really good and high quality and they tend to last a relatively long period of time and i never really had a problem with them. I like that the smart black lg refrigerators tend to have a lot of room in the freezer section. I tend to always like that lg has a large main design. But they often tend to charge alot for their refrigerators and also they charge alot for there ovens, and they charge alot for there cellphones. It also causes a higher energy bill. Its sometimes hard to bring it into the house. But thats fine. At the end of the year i do intend to buy one more refrigerator. It is make alot better than other companies.

When we built a custom home two years ago we thought we researched for the best front load washer available for our laundry room at the time. My wife and I decided that Consumer Report would be the best reference point. DO NOT GET LED DOWN THIS PATH. We purchased the Front Load LG WM8000HVA. After a year our clothes started to smell so we ran some cycles with bleach, then vinegar, then AFFRESH. Nothing helped... NOTHING.Just go online and see thousands of reviews for front load washers. I dont think it is just the LG. I think it is a problem for all front loads. My wife has a great nose and with that comes a lot of complaining. The solution was difficult but easy: I bought a new $1200 LG WT7600KKA yesterday from Best Buys in Louisville, KY. Giving our current front load to charity.

I bought LG Tromm set washer and dryer on 10/12/2006. The washer has been a constant problem, and currently, I have been without the use of this machine as it has been waiting for parts. A service man came today to do the repairs (2 weeks without the parts) and found that the drum is bad and stated the machine is junk.I am with American Bankers on an extended warranty that expires today, and I now must wait even longer to see what they are going to do about this machine. The drum has created holes in the front assembly of the machine, and there is even a chance that they do not even make the parts any more. I feel that they need to do something immediately as we have waited long enough for the parts, and now, there are more issues.I would never buy appliances from a store that does not provide their own service contract as that seems to be what is causing such delays in this issue. Why pay good money for the machine and more good money for the service contract, only to be sitting and going on 3 weeks with no washer and no one contacting us to tell us what they are going to do about this issue? This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned, and I will never buy another LG product.

Customer service for LG is not helpful and gives you the runaround. Most of the appliance repair companies I have contacted will not even work on LG. This refrigerator (Model # LFXS29766S) stopped working in just over a year just when the warranty ran out. Purchased from Home Depot and they are no help either. I have read so many negative reviews since it stopped working. Wish I had seen them before I purchased it.

Ive had this machine for 6 or 7 yes now. I dont know who came up with the idea that the tub needs to be balanced before it adds water. It just isnt necessary and it wears out the spinner gears. I have had mine replaced. Just another money grab. Now I need to replace the drain pump. More money. I only do on average 3 loads a week. Thats not a lot for me to have had to make 2 repairs. I dont recommend. LG makes a good TV. They should stick to that.

After spending close to $3000 for a new top of the line LG refrigerator it stopped working. Called LG and was told they have no LG technicians in our area. Gave us 2 numbers for repair facilities, both would charge us to come and look at it. Then they have to send their finding to LG to get parts. Both companies told us that we would be responsible for trip charges plus anything LG doesnt cover. We are cutting our losses and getting rid of this piece of junk. LG should not be allowed to sell in the US until they come out with a quality product. No more LG appliances for us.

We selected the LG LSXS26326S, side-by-side, stainless steel refrigerator for a number of reasons, including recommendations, interior room, water/ice dispenser, and cabinet size. The height specification for the CABINET is slightly more than 68, which would fit our space perfectly. However the genius, who designed this unit did not look at the height of cabinets in American kitchens. The CABINET fits our space, but the CORD comes out of the TOP of the unit, instead of the rear, adding another 1/4 inch to the dimension. An access panel also adds a small measurement to the height. I had to spend 2 hours to remove the kitchen cabinet, sand it down to allow for the cord and access panel to fit into the space. If you have limited height restrictions make sure you measure EXACTLY, to ensure that the ENTIRE unit will fit. Unless you are handy with removing kitchen cabinets, using a sander, and reinstalling the cabinet, you will need to hire a handyman or carpenter to make adjustments to your kitchen.

2 yr old LG French door LMX31985ST/0. Repaired at 16 months (defrost grill in freezer) $300. Repaired at 28 months 4x still not working (1/4/16 to today 2/12/16) error code F ds. LGs response to us was reset the fridge using the breaker from the electrical service box). We did and have had to do for 6 weeks. Repair company replaced at our expense: freezer defrost sensor $175 parts/labor. Main board parts and labor $175. Sensor for fridge $300 parts and labor. So after paying $950 in repairs over the course of 1 year and 1 month the fridge today was dripping water on the floor from the ice maker which we find is NOT WORKING now. No error code even on the fridge!! The fridge is not cooling, the ice maker is not working, and the freezer has thawed everything overnight (so the defrost is stuck on??) So 4 repairs and it is still not working, in fact it is ON but NOT WORKING! LG will do NOTHING like this has never happened before??? So after spending $950 for repairs and $3300 for the fridge in (Oct 2013) we have a piece of junk!

First contact on Feb 23rd for compressor replacement, 5 years into a ten-year compressor warranty. Lengthy wait on hold,13 verifiable calls later, as of March 5th, there has been no authorization for a compressor to be shipped to the service vendor. Service vendor made 7 of 10 calls in one day. LG will not provide a direct number to reach the same person twice. They will provide you with a badge number and first name. When you call back, there is no way to get back to the same person. Today they tell me it takes five days to process a parts authorization. They also tell me it will be another 7 to 10 days before they ship the parts once they are ordered.Once that happens, the service provider has to order the parts, and reschedule service at the home location. Both my self and the service provider have been sent to another company called Encompass who then has you start all over. I was told on March 1st that the authorization was in my email, all I had to do was open it. On March 2nd, I was assured it would be processed in 24 to 48 hours. Today, that has grown to 5-7 business days to approve parts. This has left me no choice other than to be a month or more without a refrigerator. The original purchase price was just over $2700.00 on sale.

We purchased an open box LG washing machine from Best Buy; first they changed the delivery date without notice; fast forward five months, this washing machine flooded our brand new house THREE TIMES. LG sent a technician out one week later because they only have limited amount of service for this area; the technician couldnt find the problem and after the third visit, and us videotaping the washing machine during the wash to see where the water was coming from, the technician said it was fixed. Well, we requested him to stay and watch and finally, he see the problem that LG never heard of. After one month, LG finally decide to issue a request to Best Buy to issue a refund since the washing machine was under warranty. After I go to Best Buy, I am told that their store policy is not to issue a credit back to the credit card, but to issue a store credit. In other words, they force you to purchase something from their store rather than shop at a store that has a better return policy. Warning: Dont EVER purchase a major item from Best Buy.

My LG refrigerator was only 2 months old when it died. It took customer service four weeks to the day to get it fixed. One week later, it was not working again. They told us they would give us our money back so we purchased a new refrigerator from another manufacturer. Two days later we were told they were going to fix it. Also they refused to pay for the food we lost. Now it has been an additional three weeks (so two months since it broke) and we are still waiting on parts and the new refrigerator is still broken. At least we purchased a different refrigerator and have something that works. Hopefully we will get our money back on the LG refrigerator. What a headache! Updated on 04/16/2020: As follow up, after I posted a complaint about my microwave, LG posted a reply on ConsumerAffairs which implied that they would look into our complaint. Wrong! We received a call today 4-16-2020 from the next level supervisor who said you received bad information from our customer service rep but we still cannot honor our warranty. This was the second LG microwave we had purchased, and the second to fail. This last one after about 4 months. One of the last LG reps we spoke to said there was no problem with our reimbursement paperwork and the warranty reimbursement check would be sent right out. Wrong again! This last supervisor told us that his company gave us bad information on how to file a claim and too bad for us that they made the mistake and now we are out the cost for another LG microwave. Just beware, if you do have issues with your appliance that is under warranty, LG may not honor their warranty even after admitting they were at fault.Original Review: We purchased a LG microwave to replace the LG microwave that stopped working after 2 years. After 4 months the new LG stopped working. It was under LG warranty so we called and submitted the warranty reimbursement form. After not hearing back for over a week, we called and they advised us that they needed the serial number from the unit cut in half. We submitted both the form and the serial number. After not hearing back again we called and they told us to submit the cut serial number tag on the actual submission form, so we did that and send it back in. After not hearing for two to three weeks we called again and we were told we also needed the manufacturer tag cut in half and submitted on the form. At that point being over two months of dealing with LG, we had already disposed of the unit. We told the rep and he advised no problem they would be sending the reimbursement check to us.After another week and a half we called in again and we were told without the cut manufacturer tag on the form we would not be reimbursed. We explained that the last rep said there was no issue with this and explained the entire situation again. We called again to be disconnected and called again to be told there would be no reimbursement without the manufacturer tag. After much discussion we asked the rep to send our request to a supervisor. She said it would be another week before a supervisor could look at our request.Bottom line buy a better brand microwave unless you want to continue to replace them and have LG give you misinformation to file a claim under warranty. Had I known their service was this poor I would have never bought any LG appliances. Had we known we needed more information off the unit we would have gladly supplied that at the time but the representatives gave us bad information. There are too many good quality products on the market to settle for horrible service and low quality from LG.

Purchased LG fridge couple years ago from Home Depot on clearance. Nice, big, spacious. The ice maker has a silly ice plus button to make more ice. First, the ice compartment is small so the ice plus button is really needed to be on all the time. Second, ice plus button turns off automatically. So if you use a lot ice dont buy one that has an ice plus button. LG should have an ice maker that does not need an ice plus button. Thirdly, the so called water filters you have to purchase from home depot are not oem filters. The OEM filters are high priced and need to be changed every three months to get the water to dispense like it did when it was new. I will not purchase another LG ice & water dispenser on a fridge. For future reference buy simple less headaches.

Think twice before buying a washing machine or any LG product!!! I got this
Think twice before buying a washing machine or any LG product!!! I got this machine back in the summer of 2011. It seemed to be a great product and you had the ability to washing extremely large loads of laundry at a time. But once something goes wrong then you are in trouble! The washing machine began throwing an error code nonstop during a laundry cycle which made doing a single load of laundry next to impossible. It would take me 3-4 hours to do ONE SINGLE LOAD due to the error code. It constantly kept refilling the tub with water and attempting to continue the cycle then it would knock itself off balance and start all over again. Finally I had enough and called LG to see what the issue was. Talk about an awful customer service. I could barely understand the person and finally was able to get that there was a recall which was a software update from what the person had said and that they would contact a technician around my area to come service the machine (do the software update). That was fine by me and so I waited around to hear from the technician. A few days later I got a call from the technician in my area and they said that LG had contacted them and once they received the part they would come out and fix it. How in the world I went from needing a software update to ordered a part when no one had even come and looked at the washer was beyond me but I simply said ok and went about my day. Here is when my nightmare with LG really began. The part apparently was on back order and they told me after going a month without being able to use the machine that the part would be in within the next few weeks. After the date they had given me was passed I decided to call them back to find out what in the world was going on which they would only reply saying that the part wouldnt be in until the end of the next month. Im sorry but I cant go without a washing machine for over a month and they wanted me to go without one for over 2 months?!! To make this story short after getting absolutely nowhere with their terrible customer service I ended up making a phone call to Sears who did have the part and sent it out to me that same day. I got the part and was able to get my washer fixed (hopefully for good fingers crossed). LG was not pleased that I got the part from another source and tried to convince me to cancel the order by stating that it could be the wrong part even though it was the same part that they claimed was the issue for the machine not working in the first place. Since I refused to cancel the order and wait on them to decide when they wanted to ship the part out, they refused to reimburse me for the part and were very rude. Please do some research before deciding on purchasing ANY PRODUCT from LG. I have dealt with plenty of customer service centers and this is by far the worst service center ever! The people you get connected to are nothing but rude and not one bit helpful if you have an issue with a product (especially washing machines!). They should really change their slogan from Lifes Good to Lifes Greedy because that is exactly what this company is! This washing machine is total junk and I ended up spending a lot of money (on top of the cost of the washing machine) to fix this piece of crap that is truly not all that old. The parts for this machine are apparently always on back order and next to impossible to get to fix these junky products. I have had multiple places tell me that they no longer service LG appliances because it is too difficult to get the parts to work on them and that LG is a difficult company to work with and I sure learned my lesson after having to deal with them multiple times! They do not care about their customers like they claim and have no problem making junky appliances and putting ridiculous price tags on them. I wish that I would have did even a quick search about the products before I had purchased this machine but I now know for future reference and will not be making the same mistake again. I recommend buying a different brand and staying away from LG!!! It will save you money and stress I promise!!!

We just purchased an LG kitchen package including the glass top electric LG range with knobs on the front (LSE4613/LSE4611) and had it delivered on 7/11/20. We have had it in our home for one week and weve accidentally turned the front knobs on multiple times by reaching into the microwave, cleaning the back splash, or reaching above into a cabinet. The knobs should not be that easy to turn. They are a push and turn style knob. We went back to the store to begin an exchange process for a model with the knobs in the back, but we are very disappointed because we like the appearance of this style much better. We are shocked by how easy it is to turn these knobs and really dont want to have to resort to ugly child proofing on our brand new appliances. Is there a better option?

We purchased a new LG front load washer from Home Depot and during the warranty period, the door became very stiff to where you had to hold it open to load clothes. Called service repair and they fixed it. Warranty did not cover anything because it had nothing to do with the operation such as drum, bearings or mechanical issues. Nine months later, the door was doing the same thing and water leaked from the door down the front of the washer. Ive decided to use it until I can purchase another type and brand. All repairman say that is my ceramic tile floor which 90% of the country has in their washroom. I still dont understand. I told them the previous front loader did not have this problem. They asked me if I bought extended warranty. I said it should be good from get go, brand new and installed by Home Depot. Went back to home depot to discuss further no avail. Either they said contact LG which I had done! When speaking with LG numerous times each time they were completely unprofessional rude. I finally explained Lemon law which when they said to me to screw off, I own this piece of crap which no one stand behind. I choke it up too. I will never ever buy a single LG product, even if they were the last company to produce anything. Stay away. Every time I see someone near their product I tell them to run. Poor customer service, poor quality product. I call them LIFES GARBAGE!!! So my unit is 2 years old now and because of the movement of my machine it destroyed the new floor. We purchased an LG front-load washer online. It was delivered on 12/3/13. It quit working after 2 loads, showing a dE error message (supposedly a door/latch problem of some sort). The appliance serviceman sent to our house by LG made 4 unsuccessful attempts to fix it, over a span of about 4 weeks. He tried replacing both the latch (twice) and the door (twice). After this, LG wanted the service company to order still more parts for more repair attempts, but the service company finally called and told us to call LG and tell them you want a new machine. We did, last week. After several days I called LG again. Nothing had happened, since they required an official receipt (proof of purchase), which wasnt mentioned in the previous call. The LG rep then said to allow 4-5 days for a resolution. Today I called back and was told it takes 7 days for the claim investigation to be completed. So its been 5 1/2 weeks since weve had a working washer, and only God knows when well have one again. Instead, were treated to multiple trips to distant laundromats and picturesque, sky-high piles of unwashed clothes. And many fun hours on the phone, sending emails, and awaiting the repairman, who by now seems like a member of the family.

I recently bought all new kitchen appliances. Ive only had them 3 months. The refrigerator fan was screeching day and night. Called and scheduled a warranty repair and they were supposed to arrive between 10am - 2pm on June 16th. Called back around 3 to ask if they were still coming and was told they would see where they were at and call us back. Still waiting on that repair. Hope nothing else breaks down. The worst experience ever not including the fact that we purchased all on Black Friday and they were not in stick or delivered until mid-Feb. LG, you just lost a couple of very loyal customers.

This design of this dishwasher is a nightmare. Ive actually read the manual on how to load this dishwasher thinking maybe I was doing something wrong. There is nowhere in the dishwasher where plates stand up. The tines are awkwardly placed, and continually fall down, so maybe a few bowls can go in, but they land flat on their back, pointing up when tines collapse (not exactly conducive to cleaning). Its as though the bottom rack is made to handle a couple of large pots and maybe two or three bowls. The top rack is also strangely designed and again has very little capacity to handle many dishes or glasses. When the bottom rack has dishes in it and I open it, the weight on the door causes the whole machine to start falling out of the wall. Ive probably owned ten dishwashers and can honestly state that I cant even rate this as working. Im literally having it replaced and throwing it away if I cant get Home Depot to take it back... Its less than a month old but I just cannot stand it. Ill pay twice for installation but it will be worth it because otherwise Ill be washing everything by hand. I also bought LG refrigerator and micro... nothing special about them, but I guess I should be grateful they work.

I absolutely love my LG range. It cooks everything perfectly even. Baking cookies, pies, meats, etc. I am definitely a better cook thanks to my LG. Also with the self cleaning mode, it saves me a lot of time. I give my LG a 9 out of 10. The only way it could be any more perfect is if it came with its own personal Chef, lol. Thanks LG. DR

I have waited over three months for my order to be filled by LG, I placed my order through an reputable online Dealer. The Dealer was very responsive at first, after the order was filled by LG and I paid in FULL they stopped returning my emails. The order was for a Multi F MAX LGRED System w/ four indoor units. The order was drop shipped by LG but I have not received ANY information from LG, all I have is a product shipped confirmation from the Dealer. So this sale is now in the hands of LG and I have no idea where my product is? Where it shipped from? Or how long I will wait for it? The Holidays approach and that may interfere with accepting any freight without prior arrangement for obvious reasons. I have no idea how to contact LG, or how I would reference my order even if I could contact them.Customer Care with this Company is ridiculously poor, I spent a bunch of money and I am in the Dark on my end. I cant review the product until I get my hands on it. But I can review the Manufacturer and their complete lack of customer Care and communication. I could have purchased something else, I should have, it would be installed by now and I wouldnt be wasting my time writing this out of sheer frustration with LG.

I have purchased two over the stove microwaves since 2010, both LG from Home Depot and Lowes. The manufacturers warranty runs out after 12 months. The first microwave lasted 13 months; the second, 12 months and 15 days. Six months into this second microwave, the left side of the numeric panel ceased to work. I do not consider a microwave a disposable device; rather, one that lasts for several years. I am very disappointed and will not purchase any LG product in the future, period.

The shape of the stains are very odd and could not be splatter or drips. Is anyone else having this problem? I believe the stains are coming from within the door.... While trying to get a pic of stains, I just noticed my dishwasher leaks too!

Bought a LG Top loading washing machine WT5270CW and the motherboard failed in 2 1/2 months. The failure caused the washing machine to continue filling up with water and overflowing onto the floor. It flooded out our garage and fortunately was discovered before it flooded the entire home. LG warranty service is horrible. They have you troubleshoot it, so they can save the cost of a repairman coming out. Their LG repairmen never call you nor show up for schedule appointments. LG, themselves, when you question what is going on, admit they dont have the parts on hand to fix it. Come to find out, my parts are on back order for 7-10 days. They further tell you that they have 30 days to fix or replace. In the meantime, I have dirty clothes piled to the roof. Do Not Buy LG! Never so unhappy with a product and company.

Although the purpose of a washing machine is to clean clothes, my LG front-loading machine washing machine makes my clothes and bedding dirty, covering them with disgusting dark brown or blackish stains!!! This happens in spite of my doing everything I can to keep the tub and door clean: regularly washing the tub using the tub-clean cycle with appropriate cleaners, always leaving the door and dispenser drawer open, draining and cleaning the pump filter (although this always entails water all over my floor since the drain is much too low to put an adequate container underneath to catch all the water)... Its no use! I could even live with the machines constant struggles to be balanced enough to do a proper spin, but this dirtying of what Im expecting to get clean is just too much. Shame on you LG for selling a product that does the opposite of its expected function!

We purchased a LG side by side refrigerator 3 weeks ago from Home Depot. This morning water started pouring out of the ice maker! It flooded our kitchen and dining room before we could get the water shut off. We have spent the rest of the day on the phone with Home Depot first and then LG customer service. On hold for approximately 2 hours total. Bad customer service and for $1700 bad refrigerator. Last word was they were trying to find someone to come out. It should only take them 3 days. Meantime all the food in my freezer had water poured on it. Now its frozen. Its a mess. I will never purchase another LG product!

I wish I could give a negative rating! We have been working with LG customer service since October (over 2 months now). We are extremely disappointed and feel like we have been led on like they would possibly stand behind their product. I can hardly believe we have went this long without a full size fridge and freezer. If LG customer service would have just told us over two months ago that they would not stand behind a less than 3 year old fridge we could have thrown it in a landfill and went and bought another brand. Not only do we NOT need to spend so much money every couple of years on a major appliance, but we really don’t need to fill up our landfills with these things. LG, if you cannot make a large major appliance last longer than 2 years, PLEASE STOP MAKING THEM! Do it not only for customers like me, but for the WORLD!

LG Refrigerators have a known problem with their compressors and they die within three years. Although the product is still under warranty, it takes weeks to get parts and still the fridge doesnt work. Their customer service is horrible and they state they wont replace a unit unless theyve come out four times. There is a pending class action suit against the company and the company should recall these products and refund the consumers money. Save yourself the aggravation and buy another product. I submitted photos showing the problem with model number. They asked me serial number but I could not find any near area where I found model number. I asked them where was the serial number but they did not respond either. They do not have any respect at all to their customer. I will not recommend this company to anyone. I bought many home appliances when I moved into my house. One company which I called about a strange issue on my oven made a schedule of tech people visit to my home right on the phone. This LG customer support people are ignoring and so slow.

This refrigerator has been nothing but aggravation. We have had problems with the freezer fa, replaced several times. Ice forming inside the refrigerator left side, food freezing in the left crisper and continuous significant noise like a motor boat. This grinding subsides for a few days, then starts again. The latest problem caused the refrigerator to stop working completely. It has been almost three weeks and it is still not operational. Service is horrendous. Overnight parts do not arrive on time. Only one technician in the area. Parts needed are ordered one at a time, extending down time, rather than sent together to shorten repair time. The most frustrating issue is the difficulty of reaching anyone without being re-routed several times, then dropping the line after 45 minutes to one hour.

I purchased a $3,000 refrigerator from LG. It looks beautiful. From the first month, I have had nothing but problems. I was so glad I bought extended warranty. Unfortunately, the warranty is useless because even the replacements become problems within a few months. This company has extremely poor quality products and extremely poor customer service. I have had an ongoing issue with mold growing on the inside of a piece of plastic on the front of the shelves. The company, without even coming out, told me it was not their problem. The company repairman came out to repair the perpetually broken ice-maker and told me the black line was due to inferior quality Korean plastic. He said it would only come back so he couldnt replace it. Then came an odor which would not go away even though my fridge was immaculate. This odor then took over the ice and water and even with the replacement, the water and ice are unusable because of the taste. The mold has to be coming from within the plastic. I have broken this plastic front piece due to putting Clorox on it every few months. But it continues to grow back. This is a potential health risk. The company refuses to even replace the piece of plastic that had to be pried apart in order to put Clorox in the mold. This is not normal, especially since there is nothing in my fridge most of the time. Be very careful and check this company out before purchasing. I have spent so much time waiting for repairmen only to have them tell me that the problems are not under warranty or that it is something not repairable.

My experience with my LG is terrible. My refrigerator, as even confirmed by the technician, doesnt cool. And LG said they had numerous problems with the cooling system and leakage. Since January, they came seven times and it has not been fixed. And since January, it hasnt been cooling. We called LG. The fridge is under warranty. From what Im seeing on the warranty information, its a 15-year warranty that technicians have been sent over and over again. The tech re-fixed the entire refrigerator with new parts, new compressor, and still, its not working. I loaded it up the last time he did it, and I told the LG service people its not working, and they told me, Well, bring the person one more time. And as long as they document that its not repairable, they will give me a new refrigerator or pay me whatever the cost of the new refrigerator is nowadays. So I gave them again the benefit of the doubt. The last time they fixed it, only the bottom freezer part was working. I loaded it up with food because it was Easter time and I was expecting company and I needed the space to load the food in there, and two days later, everything has melted, and I still have the food. So the top part never worked. I even did what they asked. I have it documented and turned it over to the attorney general. Because they were not even gonna honor. I have it written in their email, where the lady is saying, Give us one more time, a chance. And theyre still not honoring their email or their writing. Theyve been ignoring me.Also, LG subcontracts to foreigners. Every time I speak with someone, its from the Philippines. They have this executive service department. I try to connect with them, and they dont even take any initiative to do anything. This executive department is a joke. I spoke with every supervisor that existed there, and I have documented their names. I asked for a manager and they wont give me a manager. They say that theyre the ones responsible to do something. Then do something.Im very dissatisfied. Ive looked through the reviews, and every single person that complained about the cooling system gave up. Im not gonna give up. If thats what they think Im gonna do, no way. Now, Im waiting from the attorney general. And they also confirmed that theyve been having problems and a lot of consumers have turned to them where they made LG pay for the refrigerator.

We have had our LG refrigerator for only about six years. In the first 3 months, the refrigerator stopped cooling due to severe ice buildup on all the cooling vents. After several calls (and hours of being on hold) to their customer service department, they finally agreed to give us a replacement. The replacement only lasted another 4-5 months and the refrigerator stopped cooling with exactly the same issue (ice buildup). Again after several calls and hold, the customer service department arranged for a third party service guy to attempt a repair. The service guy could not fix the problem and also cracked a hole at the bottom when trying to scrub ice off the inside surface. He then stated that the fridge will need to be replaced. Nobody called us back for the next 3 weeks and then I had to call the customer service again and this time their rep was extremely rude. She actually hung-up the phone on me. I then wrote a review upon which the manager in Canadian operations contacted us and stepped-in to support. He then found out that the main electronic controller was a faulty design and that he would send an LG service personnel to replace the board. The icing problem was then resolved only to find out two and half years later that the compressor failed. I had to go over the same exercise to get a service personnel to come and replace the compressor. The part was free (10 years warranty on compressor) but I had to pay labour charges. Yesterday my refrigerator broke again and it is the same issue - compressor failure. I am debating with myself, to even attempt to get this fixed again (4 complete failures in 6 years). LG Refrigerator has been my worst investment ever. It was among the most expensive in its category, when I purchased it. I also heard that there is a class action law-suit against them in USA.

I called LG rep to contact local rep and get this taken care of. If LG does get it shipped by tomorrow, Friday fall on a holiday. Local dealer wont get the part until next Monday the 4th of Jan. 2016. This will be going on 2 weeks without a washer. This is unreasonable to me. Bought my fridge in June of 2014, the freezer stopped working in July or August of 2014. We have had repairmen visit almost weekly for 3 months. Now both the fridge and freezer dont work and I have paid LG service $225 out of pocket to waste my time. When I call, customer service representatives scold me because my fridge is out of warranty and they often disconnect me. The technician told me that a specialist has to deem the fridge not repairable and when I call to ask for a specialist, customer service tells me that all technicians are specialists. They are great at giving the runaround. Customer Service told me I should consider hiring a 3rd party vendor for repair service (and pay them too). I was provided 2 vendor phone numbers. Thats LGs way of saying we stole your money, stop bothering us. LG only sends repair confirmations if you schedule an appointment online. They hide records of follow up visits and there are no records of repair visits scheduled by phone. This makes it difficult to seek recourse through the small claims process which is the intent of withholding documentation.

We bought a LG Refrigerator, LG Microwave, LG Dishwasher and a LG Built in Oven (Double Range). So this past year we noticed Grooves on the oven Door and in the past 6 months they have started to Peel and Rust. We have started to noticed Paint chips in our food. Well, LG agreed to send out a company to see the damage and then they had the Audacity to say that I caused the damage to my own Product. I have never cleaned the oven other than the self cleaning mode. I do not even use anything other than Norwex in my Home. Its their way of sweeping it under the Rug. BLAME THE CONSUMER.Im 62 yrs old and they BLAMED ME AND MY HUSBAND to my FACE. All they had to do was change out the Door, but, yet, they didnt, instead they insulted us to our face. Would you really support such a COMPANY???? I have never in my Life been so frustrated with a Purchase that was made in good Faith. Now every time we use the oven to cook for our Kids and Grandkids, am I poisoning our Family???? We cant just go get a new oven on our Retirement, is this Company, LG, worth Purchasing From, Id be very aware in case something goes wrong with your appliance. Is it worth be stuck with a defective product as we are and no-one is there to back up your $$$$ Purchase? Give it thought before you buy LG Appliances.Original Review: I dont understand how a companys defective workmanship is under a one-year warranty, it has nothing to do with its normal use. My oven has a Monster in it, clawing to get out, I have the enamel chipping off, deep grooves that are now rusting, the oven is 4yrs old and expensive and Im unable to use it for fear of being poisoned. Please has anyone else had this issue or know of a class action in regards to the defect? I just may be the 1st. On LGs website there are others whove had this issue also. Should I contact them???? Im at a loss here.... Any Help would be appreciated.

We purchased an LG Tromm Washer in 2005. Shortly after purchasing, we noticed a moldy smell in clothes and on towels. The whites get marks on them as well. As I cleaned around inside, I noticed (over time) a nasty, moldy, slime buildup inside of gasket and output valve would drain nasty sewer water. I have very 3 sensitive children that have allergies and I have asthma as well. This is harming, not helping out health! Also, the detergent dispenser drawer somehow gets stuck a number of times. In order to release it, you have to slide washer away from wall, unscrew the top and pivot it up and slide until you view the drawer then release it. I have never written a review before! But I think now is the time! Frustration has taken over. We have all LG in our home (Washer, Dryer, Smart TV, Sound Bars, Dish Washer, Fridge with water and ice, Microwave, and Stove). I believe all are less than 3 years old. I agree with the other people who have written reviews on the dishwasher, it does not clean very well. Works best if you only have it half full and dishes have lots of space between them. Have to put it on pre-soak and then the 2-hour cycle. But it is quiet! Now for the frustration, our stove. We have the flat top with upper and lower ovens. Great idea as we use the upper oven for most things. The glass in the doors have stains between the glass. We called and it is a common issue and they recommend having the glass removed and have it cleaned but it will get dirty again so be prepared to do it somewhat often. The upper ceramic top has 4 elements (2 small in the back and two large in the front). My preference would be 1 small and 1 large in both back and front like most stove tops. One of the large front elements burned out a few weeks ago. We called to order the element and install it myself. Not a hard task if you are at all mechanically inclined. You cannot order parts and work on LG unless you are a certified repair shop?? It was not a money issue, it was something I wanted to do. So we prepaid on our visa to have a LG service person come in and replace the element. They said they would be there so we would have to have someone home between 7AM and 7 PM (odd, but one of the family members stayed home from work that day, they were to call just before arriving). They never showed up or called?? We called LG and questioned why and rescheduled for yesterday. Again no one showed up!! I called last night (on the phone for 1 hour and 10 minutes). The end result was they would credit our Visa and we could call a service repair shop ourselves (has to be LG trained) and get it fixed ourselves!!! Life is Good.

LG contacted me after I wrote my first bad review saying they would replace it. This was a month ago and now they have disappeared. Do not buy LG, the product breaks; the company is dishonest, they do nothing to help, they lie and do not follow the warranty. I am still stuck with a broken fridge with no help whatsoever. I never write reviews. I am so upset and angry about this situation I had to write this so no one else goes through what I am right now. I am utterly stranded and at the mercy of the technicians never showing up and LG doing nothing to rectify the situation. Absolutely disgusting.Original Review: Your freezer broke within two weeks of me owning the refrigerator. I have been waiting 12 weeks for someone to come and fix it. Your service provider in my area has cancelled and not shown up to any of the appointments that have been set. I purchased a $900 LG washer 14 months ago. I also purchased the PSP plan. The bleach port is rusting away and getting rust on the clothes! The water and pressure is fine. The PSP plan wont cover this. I called LG and they gave me a hard time, but I demanded something so they allowed me to email the receipt from HHGregg and they will consider sending someone to look at the rust. They decided no and instead, suggested I purchase another plan that covers this problem. I didnt realize we needed a plan that protects poor quality metal!

I recently purchases a Model # LSE4611ST slide in glass top range. I was very happy with it in the beginning. This past summer I was canning, the process was done, I laid a cloth on the unused side of the range and put my jars on it from the canner. I went out for 20 minutes, came in and found the front burner on and the cloth burned to the stove top. What I discovered was that when you leaned forward into the stove, the controls on the front of the stove are extremely flexible and it takes nothing at all to turn on the burner. I had a similar experience this afternoon and apparently touched a dial with my body and it turn it on while I was cleaning another section of the glass top. I almost set my hand on it and realized in time that the burner was on. I still like the range, just do NOT like that the control knobs are so easily manipulated. Thank goodness we dont have children in the house, it would be dangerous. My experience with LG has not led to a resolution. My issue that the knobs on the front of the range were very susceptible to touch and that it was easy to turn the burners on without being aware of it. I had a fire on my stove that burned thru a mat and damaged my burner. When the repairman came out he told me that was the way it was, there was no way to make the knobs more resistant to light touch. That this was the way it was. It makes bothers me that something so easy to fix to prevent accidents is deemed not viable by the company.

I received my LG front loader washer and dryer 5 years ago from my son as a Christmas Gift. The machine works well. I have had 2 problems, the biggest problem is the foul smell and the black mold. I have tried everything to no avail. Everything that I research, Ive tried. I need to try the installation of another gasket to see if that helps. And also recently I have had problems with the door where the soap/bleach/softener goes.I am having problems opening the door because of the section that holds the softener is lifting and not allowing the door to open and I needed to call for service. Seems like what they did was just to put a bandaid on the problem because tonight I could do my laundry because I was unable to open that door to install my detergent and softener. What is the solution to my PROBLEM. Thank You for your help. My set came from BEST BUY. WM2277H.

In 2008 I purchased a four piece kitchen appliance set from LG. Within a year the knobs on the stove started to cracked. I was not aware that there was a recall in 2010 to replace these knobs. Since purchasing this set I have had to replace the dishwasher and the refrigerator as both of them stopped working or begin leaking to the point of repair costing more than replacement. I contacted LG about the knobs recently and they informed me that if I was the original purchaser they would replace the knobs one time for free. After one month of waiting I did not receive the knobs and gave them a call. They then informed me that my request was denied which is why I did not receive the knobs. According to their records my stove was unaffected by this issue. I offered to supply them with pictures of the knobs proving in fact my stove was affected. Not only did they not care that I would never buy LG products again but they did not even have the decency to call me and inform me that they were not going to fulfill the commitment of providing me with the knobs. For any consumer out there interested in buying an LG, I would think twice.

Im very dissatisfied with the outcome of my LG range. Dont get me wrong I have been happy with the griddle cook top etc. but I am so very upset about the porcelain in the oven flaking off. This has been from not long after we got it. But I thought it originally was something that was spilled. When I wiped it off and cleaned the oven, it seemed like it was chipping but it was hard to tell with it being a small round circle. So I left it go. My oven does not get that soiled so I have not had to clean it much. Well much to my surprise when I looked in my oven to clean it, I noticed it looked like it was crackling. I took a plain wet cloth and wiped and the porcelain was wiping off like shards of glass. I called LG. They said I could pay $90 just to have someone look at it. Wonderful for something that is definitely a defect and not my fault. I have never had an appliance with porcelain ever do this before.

Bought the top-loading Inverter Direct Drive about 3 years ago. This is the biggest POS appliance we have ever owned! Washer gets unbalanced with almost every load - no matter how small or large. It takes a LONG time to wash any load. The display may say that its a 52-minute load. Thats ONLY if you monitor it getting unbalanced or shutting off completely. It mostly gets unbalanced at 34 minutes remaining and at 11 minutes remaining. Unless you use the bulky setting, you get next to NO water in the tub. And the very WORST PART is that it has RUINED countless shirts, pants, and shorts. It will put dark, short streaks (stains) ON YOUR CLOTHES THAT YOU CANNOT GET OUT. We have washed the Maxine-stained items up to six times using a wide variety of stain removers and NOTHING works. We wound up throwing items away after this machine stained them. Now we turn everything inside out. We hope to be moving soon and will GLADLY leave this machine behind. What a HORRIBLE appliance!!!

Hello to all. YET ANOTHER customer affected by this garbage LG is allowed to sell in the USA. I purchased in 2011 so Im out of warranty but the parts are still covered. Well it took 5 weeks to get a part sent. LG authorized tech came in with a $1,000 bill and a little Google search proves they are bad parts. Leaking freon leaking water that generated a sheet of ice under freezer trays amongst a kitchen floor destroyed by 1 product. Terrible quality products.

Our fridge has the freezer on the bottom. It saves my back not to have to bend down to look in the fridge! We also like that it’s small and compact and doesn’t take up much space. I purchased an $1800 refrigerator in the Spring of 2020 and it stopped working 9 months later. It is 9 weeks since I first reported the problem to LG. Two technicians sent to my home and authorized by them can not fix the broken compressor. LG is refusing to replace or refund and keep directing me back to customer service where we start all over again with overseas representatives reading a script and not seeming to grasp the situation. In trying to figure out how to reach a human who could move forward with a promised replacement, I discovered tons of other disgruntled customers dealing with the same frustrating experience: non-working products still under warranty that LG is either incapable of repairing or unwilling to replace or refund. Not worth the risk—buy another brand.

We bought an LG oven (model LRG4115) this summer (2018) and we can’t believe this oven is still on the market. It is so dangerous. We have brushed up numerous times against the knobs and the gas comes on automatically without us even knowing it. Luckily we have remained in the house afterward and smelled the gas so we were able to shut it off before something major happened. The knobs turn so easily and the gas comes on so quickly, unlike most other gas ranges that take several seconds before the fire lights up. We haven’t contacted LG yet but that is our next step. I want this oven out of my house before something horrible happens!

LG Washer/Dryer unit. Noticed water on floor, thought it was the washer. Repairman identified water coming from dryer. He was not able to fix the problem. Might add, weve passed the one yr. warranty and didnt purchase an extended warranty thinking back over 50 yrs of never having to call a W/D repair person. After some personal research discovered the water drain was not connected to the proper reservoir. Never saw a drop of water in the prescribed reservoir which means it was never properly installed at the factory or whatever reason LG can figure who to blame. Theyve given me some repair phone #s. None service our area. Discovered that they have a very narrow presence for repair people. This is a BUYER BEWARE of LG. No service, poor and rude customer service and a phone number with a broken answering string. In the meantime, LG has a duty and a responsibility to mitigate all damages and the Consumer Affairs Division of the State of California needs to look into a company that sells their products without providing a reasonable method of getting repair service. Their star deserves a huge Zero. I bought both items at Home Depot and they could not give me a repair person for LG. Right now were stuck with having an expensive dryer that doesnt work. Carting a basket of wet laundry to dry outside is a huge inconvenience for an 80 yr. old.

Updated on 06/08/2021: This is a follow up to a review I wrote a few days ago about my LG refrigerator. I gave it 1 star only because I couldn’t leave zero. I was amazed that a company representative reached out because of the negative review but my amazement didn’t last. They are still dragging their feet. I have a 3 1/2 year old refrigerator that stopped working on May 16. It is suppose to have a 5 year warranty. I got the run around from LG customer service for weeks so I left the negative review. Yesterday I received a text saying they would try to find an alternate resolution but I had to send in my receipt. I don’t have any issue providing the receipt but I already sent the same supervisor the receipt on a May 26. Now I have to start the process again. I need to send her the receipt and in 7-10 business days one of their representatives will reach out with a possible resolution but I MUST NOT do anything with the broken refrigerator until I hear from them. So it’s possible I won’t hear from them for another 2 weeks but I’m suppose to leave a broken refrigerator in my house until they say differently? I simply cannot believe that they think I’m not going to replace the broken refrigerator for 5 weeks! Please don’t put yourself through what I’m dealing with. Don’t buy LG.Original Review: Do not buy a refrigerator from LG! I purchased one 3 years ago for $2,500. It came with a 5 year (worthless) warranty. It stopped working suddenly 2 weeks ago. I have called LG customer service every single day and they have done nothing to correct the situation. They can’t find anyone local to fix the unit because they have a Class Action Lawsuit due to a faulty compressor and no repairmen will touch it because of the potential liability. So I sit on day 14 with ZERO help. They have not called me back one time. I have to call every day and repeat my entire story to a different employee. Buyer Beware!

LG Range LRE30453St/01 - Stove is 2-1/2 years old. Needed a Board, took 6 weeks, nationwide all facilities were out of stock. Then needed a heater element. The ACCESS panel for the heater element was never cut out on the stove, so this was very time consuming to cut myself. Customer service would not help me with any of these expenses and inconveniences. The wire on heater element runs way too close to back of stove and they are not insulated. How this passed UL I will never know. The product is poorly built, difficult to work on, and possibly dangerous. My formal complaint was issued with them, case # **. I was told I could not be helped by them in anyway whatsoever.

We purchased our LG refrigerator on 09/02/10, the first call for repair was on 9/28/10. The problem was the light in the refrigerator being off. It was supposedly fixed. The next call for repair was 10/27/10 for the same problem. It was supposedly fixed again. For the record, it still goes out on occasion, we were told this is a problem with LG refrigerators. The next service call was 09/01/11. This time, the refrigerator was too warm, going up to 50 degrees. Thank God we still had our old fridge in the basement we could transfer our food to. The technician told us the cause was freezing up in the tube that transferred cold air from the freezer to the fridge. He thawed everything out, and it worked okay till recently. I called for repair again for the same problem. Thanks to our old Kenmore in the basement which kicks the LGs **. Thank heaven we purchased an extended warranty. When I called this last time, I complained to the person I was talking to, saying I think we deserve a new fridge, her reply was we can extend our warranty. Give me a break. Reading these other complaints, I dont think a new LG would solve our problems. We would just get a new set of headaches. Needless to say, I will never purchase an LG product again, and would never recommend them to anyone!

This is an 18-month-old LG refrigerator and is the second time it has suffered this failure. I have now been without a refrigerator for 9 days - over Christmas no less, and I am now told that it will be at least another week - with no confirmation on that - before I have the parts. I ordered parts from the LG supplier as given on the LG website - MCM electronics. They never shipped the part. Then when I spoke with them again they reluctantly said they would ship with another shipper claiming it was the shippers problem - but USPS, the original shipper says the parts were never available for pickup. One of the two parts did arrive and - my fault - it was not the correct part. I cannot track the second part as they never sent purchase confirmation e-mail and they are closed. Then I ordered the same parts via Sears - the website said they were in stock but Sears now confirms that the parts were indeed not in stock at LG and that it will be at least another week until they arrive, but they cannot confirm this. Parts are also not available at Repair Clinic.com. This appears to be an LG purposeful action to force you through an LG repairperson as the parts are not available from anyone - its an easy fix if I can ever get the parts. I need to file a complaint against LG and on Monday I will follow-up further with the State Attorney Generals Office and the Better Business Bureau. At this point - over my dead body will I call for an LG repairperson and I will never again purchase anything from LG.

We purchased and LG refrigerator and dishwasher about 2 years ago. Have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator, but it is working for now. The dishwasher will not clean the dishes. Because it is out of warranty, I called to get a service appointment set up only to be told that the price which I had been quoted by two of their representatives had gone up over $100 when I finally got to the department which could schedule the service. $100 in less than three minutes? I was told that it was due to sales tax. Total nonsense as nobody charges over 60% tax and we dont even pay tax on service calls in this state! After calling back, I managed to get the price back down to what was promised and secured an appointment for the next afternoon. The next morning I received an overnight-mail package. It was the pump for my dishwasher which had arrived before the technician could even look at the machine. Obviously LG has had this problem many times before if they know the problem before they can even look at the appliance! Why was there no recall of the defective part if the problem is that common? This company is to be avoided at all costs. They will lie to you and will do absolutely anything to avoid accepting responsibility for their worthless products! If there were a negative number of stars with which I could rate them, I would.

My husband and I purchased an LG Refrigerator, model number LFC23760ST. It was delivered on 6/17/2009. About 1 month later, we experienced getting shocked while reaching for food items while holding on to the door. We called LG, and they told us to call an authorized repair agency and gave us 2 names. We called both of those companies and neither would come to look at our appliance. They said that LG doesnt pay them. We called LG. They told my husband that it must be a problem with the house and not the refrigerator. My husband talked to them on many more occasions, and they said that they would send someone, but no one ever came. Now, the refrigerator completely went out. On October 12th 2011, we called LG. They gave us the same name (1 now) of an authorized repair agency. We called them and they do not come to our area. So, apparently, we never have had any warranty on this product. We did get Sears appliance repair to come out. It turns out to be a blown fuse that is soldered to a control panel. So, $369.00 later and another week without a refrigerator (to order the part), did the short causing us to be shocked cause the fuse to go out? When the repair gets made, will we still get shocked? Why is LG not more concerned about my well-being and that of husbands, and should there be death or serious injury before they will show care at all? Or maybe, the only time they will care is if they are sued and it hurts their pocket book? It has hurt mine both in repairs and loss of groceries. I dont know if anything can be done about this situation but I will never purchase another LG product, and I will tell as many people who will listen not to do so as well. Always remember, if you have a warranty repair on an LG product, no one will come!

I bought this set because I liked the look of the stainless steel with a clear coat on top. Unfortunately after 3 years the finish on top of the washer didn’t hold up and had many marks and streaks which is weird because the finish doesnt seem scratched—just has discolorations. There is one setting, Sports wear, that has no features associated with it which seems like a bug. You choose it, and there are zero settings. No temp, speed, spin etc. They are just blank. I do wish I could add the fabric softener setting for every type of wash, but its not available on several. Otherwise it seems to do a good job and has great capacity.

I just finished sorting socks and underwear that I washed today. Once again I am so angry that I purchased a LG top load washer. It has been a disappointment since the beginning. Today I found a pair of underwear that were ripped and tore and a sock that too was ripped and tore. Both had marks of rust on them also. This along with the fact that in order to get whites clean and jeans and work clothes I have to set the washer on SOAK, and push the button twice for extra rinse and a load of clothes usually takes anywhere from 2hrs - 2hr:20min. In the past I had taken jeans out of the washer after a normal wash cycle to hang on the line and there was still dry dirt in the creases. The main reason for purchasing this machine was because of its large capacity. Well that did me no good at all.I had a tech come out to check the machine after complaining to the manufacturer, and he quizzed me on the type of laundry detergent etc etc to find out I was doing everything right. I also was told to weigh my loads and not to wash more than 10-13 pounds at a time, Oh my goodness. Yet that did not help either. I do not recommend this machine. Worst washing machine I ever Owned!!!

My husband and I purchased a new LG refrigerator just 2 years ago. TWO weeks ago right before July 4th everything defrosted and melted in the freezer and the refrigerator went warm. I called LG warranty service and purchased a service plan. They scheduled to come July 6th. They cancelled that appointment because they overbooked pushed me back to July 11th. Five days later. This brings us to July 10th by 4 o clock I havent heard from them with the scheduled time so I called them. I found out they cancelled again! They didnt even have the decency to call. They would not give us a date when someone could get here. We were told we would receive a callback in 1 to 2 business days with a date. We refused to accept this or hang up because they can not be trusted. Over a long time probably a hour later we finally got a date. Saturday. Another 5 days.So we have been out a ref for 2 weeks. Tried to call someone ourselves to get this fixed. They came said it might be the fan but they are unable to get the part because LG wont give them the look up a number so we have 2 options wait another 5 days and hope they actually come or buy a new refrigerator. 2000 dollars down the drain for a new refrigerator. So beware when buying LG appliances. Its safe to say I will never ever buy an LG product again. LG corporation also did nothing. All they wanted to do is confirm our appointment. I can do that dont need them to do that for us. So stand clear of LG got sold a lemon and cant even get it fixed. Updates repair man came 2 weeks later got the new compressor and guess what still doesnt work. I am a month without a refrigerator with 2 kids in the summer. About 2 months after purchasing the unit, the heating element that controls the defrost mode went out and had to be replaced. Also, this unit makes a horrible vibrating noise when the compressor runs. If I put my hand on the door, it immediately quiets down. When I told the technician about it, he said it wasnt anything he could fix. They sent another technician out and he said this is normal and that the new compressors are just loud. That doesnt make sense because when I put my hand on the doors, it immediately quiets down. National Platinum Services wont send anyone out unless I agree to pay a $95 fee. I refuse to agree to this as the unit is new and is under warranty.LG says this is an installation problem and not their problem. LG told me to watch a video on how to level the unit and sent me a wrench for the doors. I have both front legs as high as they will go and the wrench they sent doesnt fit - one end is too small and the other is too big. LG confirmed that the wrench they sent is the only one they have for the refrigerator, yet no one can tell me how to adjust the doors without it. I talked with a supervisor who said they would send someone out free of charge to get it level but that never happened. A month went by and now LG is saying a new policy went into effect 2 weeks ago and I have to pay the fee. I find it highly suspicious that National Platinum Services avoided contacting me until the new policy took effect. BTW: Both technicians who came pulled the unit out from the wall without re-leveling it.Now today the heating element that was replaced is not working properly and ice and frost is building up in my freezer. Im beginning to think that the whole line of your refrigerator is not properly leveled is just a stalling tactic from LG and they know these units defrost mechanisms are not designed/built properly. Perhaps this is why theres such a bad vibration and noise. Theyre just trying to waste time and wait for the warranty to run out. NEVER. BUY. LG. EVER.

I found out that the repairman only CLEANED the unit and put the same thing back in the first visit. Now he had to replace it. Ive had problems with the top basket of the dishwasher. Its off-track and does not stay where it is supposed to.I always have to take special precautions when I pull out the top rack, fear of it dropping!! And last, now its my microwave. It just stop turning and heating up!! Thats it!!! Im so through with LG products!! Ive been a homemaker for 36 years and I will never buy an LG anything!!! They need to stop this foolishness and put out products that will last! - Angry Consumer.

Just want to chime in here... I just googled I hate my LG refrigerator and am shocked to see so many people PUT OUT, financially, time-wise, logistically... for these EXPENSIVE refrigerators! I had a perfectly good ole side-by-side Whirlpool. Didnt like the freezer, too narrow, couldnt even fit a frozen pizza without taking it out of the box... you probably all know what Im talking about. So my husband buys me this (visually) great-looking LG French door fridge, Christmas last year. 28.8 cubic feet, white and sassy. Pattys in love! Supposedly $3000 but on sale for $1800 at Brandsmart. Still a pretty penny, and I added a 5-year warranty.Last month I was clearing dishes and walked into my kitchen and wiped out in a puddle of water, everything flew everywhere, I landed on my knee... awesome bruise! Lucky I didnt break my neck or cut myself on the wine glasses I was carrying that went crashing to the floor. Angry much? How do I summarize this quickly? Cant! It took two weeks, scads of phone calls (of course ALL calls are taken by someone in Asia and the voice recognition software doesnt recognize the word refrigerator more than half the time and there are no options to actually press a number button)... I lost most of my food, lived out of a cooler, constantly buying ice... when the local fridge repairman came he was GREAT but said it needed a new computer panel. Fine. 3 days later, computer panel installed, fridge working again. More phone calls, claim filed, fought for $150 food reimbursement.STORY OVER? NO! Its happened AGAIN! Puddles on the floor, melted frozen goods... and I am... well, Ill just be nice and say upset! Of course LG is SO SORRY, MAAM... we can get someone over there in 3 days! I must confess to yelling NO WAY! and today (its Monday 10/22 & the fridge started plotzing on Saturday) my friendly repairman came a day early because I WHINED on the phone this morning to them.NOW I NEED A COMPRESSOR! Back to cleaning out freezer and fridge, living out of a cooler and trips to get ice. Should have one in 2-3 days. Somehow this doesnt ease my mind. Ive declared to LG Im telling everyone I know to never buy LG appliances! They dont seem to care... probably because theyre safely 5000 miles away from me! ;o) Enough said? Thank God I bought the warranty because nothing out of pocket yet. I might go ballistic if I have to pay anything for my 10 month old fridge. Looks arent everything! Sorry I broke up with you, Whirlpool! Good luck, everyone! Thanks for reading my novel!

Just using the refrigerator. Normally the defrost does not work. The repairman told me to unplug the refrigerator to let it defrost for 24 hours. Of course that means all of the food is spoiled. Home Depot has informed Im stuck with this piece of junk. After 24 hours I am suppose to plug it back in and hope it runs and cools properly. If it does not the repairman will order a fan which will take a week to get. In the meantime I and a bunch of spoiled food and no refrigerator. Do not buy an LG! LFXS30726S.

LG French Door model LFX25960ST - After 2 years, the ice maker started leak
LG French Door model LFX25960ST - After 2 years, the ice maker started leaking down the front of the doors. Repairman said I need a new ice maker. Cost $430. After 9 months the problem is starting again. I am the only one who uses the refrigerator so I know it is not being abused. I will never purchase another LG product again. My previous refrigerator was a plain Avocado Green GE and I had it for 20 years with no problems. Plain is the way to go. All the bells and whistles look pretty but are not functional.

Our LG fridge over here in Florida, has required 2 compressors. The compressor they replaced stop working 18 months later. I now have to pay out of pocket and lose out on groceries for the week during this pamdemic. The fridge was purchased in 2015. In 2017 compressor was replaced. On 9/23/18 same replaced compressor broke. Now again 4/22/20 and compressor is outbagain. I called LG and they gave me numbers to call on my own. AS Im now out of warranty. This is totally unacceptable and I can see why there is a class action suit against this company. I will be posting on all social media how LG handles its customers on an item they know is flawed. Hopefully I can deter others from buying LG refrigerator.

LG is a brand I really trust that is on the cutting edge of innovation and I am proud to have in my manor. It looks beautiful in the kitchen with the other stainless steel appliances. The LG refrigerator is stainless steel which makes it very attractive and resistant to fingerprints and smudges somewhat. The cubic foot footage is excellent and it has an ice maker and water dispenser as well as ample storage space and drawers. Its just a beautiful refrigerator. I considered several brands but LG was definitely one of the most stylish looking and was fully loaded with features and innovation at a price which was very reasonable considering the others.

I have a 2 year old LG washer with the impeller tech, low water use, etc. I dislike it intensely. The impeller action does not move clothes sufficiently, the water levels are not sufficient to get the dirt to float out and away, and it cannot do large sheets at all. When I do sheets I have to check constantly and push them under water level, no matter what setting I use. They never completely submerge. I usually have to add additional water to hack the weight so that it adds additional, even after the extra water button is pushed. I wish I had kept my old Maytag and repaired it.

Our LG refrigerator broke and contacted LG directly for repair since it is under the 5 year warranty. They sent a repair on 3 different occasions and they never were able to fix it. The issue is the compressor. I have thrown away my food several times and cannot cook since we do not have a refrigerator. It has been nearly 1 month now and LG has not resolved our issue. Our patience has run out and need to report LG. Today we received an email from Jennifer ** (Presidential Escalations Coordinator) and Abi ** (President Liaison) stating that they will buy back the refrigerator for way less than what we paid for the refrigerator. This is unacceptable! Do not buy any LG Appliance. Horrible company and extremely poor customer service. We just got off the phone with an LG agent who could care less and very unprofessional.

LG Refrigerator Compressor Model # LFX31945ST/02 - We bought our refrigerat
LG Refrigerator Compressor Model # LFX31945ST/02 - We bought our refrigerator in February 2014. It was discounted almost half off to $1851.30 and we had another 10% off coupon (plus they automatically added the 3 year warranty that was another $90). I asked what was wrong with it, why it was discounted so much and I was told it had been a loaner fridge while someone elses was repaired. I snatched it up thinking I was getting a great deal for our new house. There were things that didnt seem right like the door never seemed to seal tight and the light would work then go out then work and so on, but nothing major just little quirks. Then in July 2017 we got up one morning to find that everything was hot in both fridge and freezer. So I contacted LG. I knew that my extended warranty had run out 5 months earlier, but I was told that the compressor was still under warranty along with a few other parts. They could only find 2 places that would work on LG and both were an hour plus away. So I contacted one who right off the bat told me LG was notorious for their compressors going bad. They came out to diagnose a bad compressor $91 and had to get authorization for parts. Meanwhile he informed me that he had 6 more LGs he had to get to with you guessed it BAD COMPRESSORS. Some of them going bad in the first 6 months. After the parts came in he came out replaced it for another $288.90. I asked him would this last longer than the 3 years that I got out of the first one and he told me they would not guarantee anything. He recommended that I sell it as fast as possible. Imagine how I felt. That was last Tuesday 8-15-17. Today is 8-22-17 and it has yet to cool or freeze properly. We have had 2 gallons of milk go bad because it is too warm and my ice maker hasnt worked yet because it has to reach 15 Celsius before it will make ice. We bought bagged ice and it melts a puddle underneath it because it is too warm. I called the technician back who of course feels bad but is not surprised. I spent an hour on the phone with LG this morning, and they tried to get me to call another technician out. I refused told them they better make this right. She told me they would replace the compressor, I told her they would also pay the labor that I was not paying another dime. I just paid it last week and I am not paying it again. She told me the technicians work was guaranteed. I informed her that he told me they would not guarantee it and that they recommended I sell it. She then told me we would reset the freezer by opening the door and slamming it 4 times in a row. What a joke. She told me not to open it for 6 hours and she would call me back then. So I am waiting and furious that we have now lost food twice because LG has an inferior product and refuses to fix it. The technician is scheduled to come back Saturday and is expecting me to pay if LG does not. I will update after my phone call this afternoon. I recommend you stay away from LG refrigerators.

I chose the LG refrigerator because of the price and it had the most quality for my money. I love a bargain and cant pass up a good deal. This fridge has everything I want in a refrigerator. It works amazing. I love the color, it fits well with my kitchen. Weve had it for years and never had any problems with it. I love the ice making feature and it just has a slick design. I have absolutely no complaints about it. Theres nothing that I dislike about refrigerator. I would like to try to a digital one someday though. It would be cool if you guys had more digital options for fridges. The world is becoming computerized and theres no reason that a fridge cant follow suit.

Our LG LRBN22514ST refrigerator works fine, but the handles on the refrigerator AND the freezer have broken off! The handles are fine, but LG uses PLASTIC mountings that give out over time - really poor choice! Why not use metal mounts and charge a dollar or two more? Ive replaced the bottom refrigerator mount once, but now the part is no longer available - same as the freezer handle mount! Now the (otherwise) functioning refrigerator is difficult to open! Planned obsolescence? Good job at that!!

Brand new LG washer & dryer arrived in less than perfect operating condition. LG could not care less. This is a really arrogant uncaring horrible outfit to deal with. They tell you their rules as they go along. You are treated like dirt and end up spending good money to be bullied by this dysfunctional bloviating giant. DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS unless you want to buy headaches. Cannot get service from them. It is almost 2 months since we got these malfunctioning machines and the service outfit has been here once and accomplished zilch. Getting them back is an exercise in futility. LG IS AN OUTFIT TO AVOID. Home Depot, where we purchased this junk should also be avoided. No one home to help a dissatisfied customer no matter how right one may be. Im sure Ill end up in small claims court.

It is very easy to use. It cleans well and has lots of options that save time and water and guessing which setting to use. I Have owned and used front loaders before and this fits the bill. The only drawback, if you could call it that, is you must leave the door ajar when done to prevent a mildew smell. But that is really just normal for a front loader and this one is better than most.
