In January 2019 we purchased four new top-of-the-line LG appliances from Home Depot: dishwasher, oven/range/microwave and refrigerator. Within two months we had problems with the dishwasher and LG did not have the needed parts. Within the next several months we had to call for service on the oven/range (twice), on the microwave, and this week on the refrigerator. LG was extremely uncooperative in scheduling a service appointment, even after the Home Depot telephone them on our behalf. They insisted on photographs of our receipts (we have neither smart phones or the ability to transmit photos) although we gave LG THE MODEL NUMBER, SERIAL NUMBER, RECEIPT NUMBER AND DATE AND THE TELEPHONE NUMBER OF THE Home Depot store. The LG representative was rude, and even hung up on my wife. Home Depot had a similar experience, and advised us to NEVER buy an LG appliance from Home Depot in the future. Not much chance of that! I purchased an LG French door refrigerator with bottom freezer in June of 2013. In August of 2013, the ice maker went out. It took about 2wks to get it repaired. Now here in May of 2014, the ice maker and freezer arent working. I have asked that the refrigerator be replaced because not only is the ice maker not working, but now the freezer, which is a clear indication that it is a faulty product. LG has refused to replace it stating they will only repair it. They have tried and were unable to fix the initial problem. The fair and responsible thing to do is replace this faulty product.

I purchased an LG Model# LFX33975st Refridgerator from Lowes September 2004. I paid 2748.60 for it and also purchased the Lowes extended warranty. That is a whole different issue. This fridge never cooled like it should from the day I bought it. I would hear weird noises from time to time, several times the freezer would start to thaw out. At first, I thought my wife had too much stuff in it but that wasnt the problem. Then it would start working again. A lot of food would spoil in this fridge. Well, it finally quit cooling altogether and we lost all of the food both in the fridge and freezer. I called Lowes as I had an extended warranty and I also contacted LG. LG sent a new compressor and the wrong filter drier and scheduled the service facility to come out and make the repair. The repairman came out and found a leak in the fridge evaporator. He ordered the new part, he came out to make the repair. Now, this is going on for 3 weeks. 48 Hrs later the freezer is working but the fridge is not. So after doing a little research online, it is clear that LG has major issues with their compressors and other components that they are aware of and there are several class action lawsuits against them. I have all LG appliances in my house as the salesman at the store told me how good the LG products are. I am very sorry I purchased these products and will never buy another appliance from LG or Lowes.

First off, I must say that my LG appliances were great. At First. We bought a new house and all new major appliances. Now at the 5-year mark, they are breaking. No problems with broken parts except the ice dispenser (only crushed). A month ago, the stove overheated. I looked online only to find out that the stove had been recalled. A call was put in to LG and I was given an order number and told that a repair company would contact me. After 10 days, I called LG back again and I was then given the name and # of the company that was supposed to come and fix the stove. Another week goes by and I call that company to be told that I lived too far away to come fix it (about 30 miles). Another call to LG who did not believe me, so I was put on hold for almost an hour while LG called the repair company. I was then given the name of another company on July 5, that I contacted. Company # 2 said they were waiting on the part. Today is July 17. I still have no working stove. On July 15th, I came home to water all over my kitchen floor. I opened the refrigerator door to warm food and melted ice. I bypassed LG and called out a repairman on the 16th of July ($70.00) just to pull in the driveway. The repairman moved some stuff around and called it good. Today, the 17, I called him to let him know that the fan is still blowing but the temp is about 50 degrees. So now I have 2 very pretty LG appliances that do not work. Not happy at all because both items were big ticket items totaling over 4 grand. Also have an LG TV that is 2 years old, used maybe 3 times a week, that has about 5-inch black spot in the screen. I guess I would rather pay a higher electric bill every month using an older but functional item than to have to replace appliances every couple of years. Very disappointed and will not buy another LG product again.

I purchased a fridge 12/19/16 from Home Depot with delivery for 1/5/16. Once fridge came in and they opened the box it had a dent which I had been told to not accept (Youd think they check them before leaving warehouse as it wasnt caused bringing it in). Called customer service and could not be compensated nor will they make arrangements to schedule a quicker delivery (as 1/17/16 was next available). It was also very frustrating as my husband had taken a day off to attend to this and not only did he wait for nothing I waited over 40 minutes to get an answer. Im not sure what kind of business LG runs but one thing I do know is that I will never purchase a product from them again. They must be out of their minds to think I will wait a month to receive a refrigerator to replace my broken one.

Slick and smooth with an Ice dispenser. The ice dispensed was fairly large and the handle was curved. The fridge itself was of average size. The freezer section wasnt unnecessarily large and was all the space I really ever required. The fridge could have been larger though, but not for its price. The size of the fridge couldve been larger with less unnecessary pullout shelves and more standard shelves. The door shelves were decent though. The production the the aforementioned ice was also somewhat long as well. The price of the refrigerator is what caught my attention. Then again, the fridge was on sale and wasnt at its standard market value, thus this opinion could be skewed or biased.

Choked by LG Side-By-Side (Model # LSXS26326S). I could have died. This product was defective and plastic from the ice maker got in my water. I was choked and my throat scratched by a piece of plastic that broke loose from the ice maker top cover. I do not recommend this product. There was a design change (i.e. material change) that was done in 2018 to the top cover. LG offered me $500 for my pain, suffering, and inconvenience, which was a slap in my face. I was finally provided a refund for the defective unit, but they did not provide any interest for the 2 months that it took them to give me a check. When they sent a company to pick up the defective unit almost $5,000 worth of damage was done to my home (i.e. new refrigerator was scratched, molding/trim damage, custom pre-hung door damaged and threshold broken), which has not been paid. LG said it is not their responsibility, but yet they sent the company to my home. I really appreciate Amazons customer service, because they treat their customers like they would treat themselves.

I own an LG F8068LDP. An ** engineer might have developed the said machine while he was in a heavily drunken mood. I never saw or heard such an ** machine. It does not wash properly even if I use all varieties of washing powder and use different options. It discolors the white clothes into yellow shade and it creates small dots over the clothes. I even suspect that it creates small holes to the clothes.

LG Refrigerator, Model LSC 27931ST quit cooling over the weekend. Compressor does not turn on. Called LG customer service. Got no one who could understand or speak English. Contacted a local appliance repair. Service tech. analysis is replace relay/overload. Service tech says the parts are not available - $85.00 gone. Talked with LG Customer Service the next Monday. They tell me I must talk with a LG referred service contractor/repair. LG gives me the number for A&E Service/Repair. Same as before. Relay & Overload Assembly. Parts N/A - $75.00 gone. Talked again with LG customer service and get names for three (3) parts suppliers for LG parts. Again not available, discontinued. Refrigerator was purchased from Best Buy w/ a 5 year extended warranty that expired six (6) months ago. LG customer service has not helped in any way.

My LG refrigerator (Model: LFX25971ST) is not cooling. I bought an LG stainless steel fridge about three years ago. Last night, water started leaking from the ice maker on the door. Later, I found out that the water was leaking because the fridge was no longer cooling the upper part, nor freezing the freezer compartment.I called LG Customer Service to complain, but all I received was Im sorry. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold for over 15 minutes. The supervisor said that he would look into approving reimbursement for parts, but not for labor (no promises). I now have to wait until Monday (now Saturday) to get a reply. If I went to an authorized repairman prior to receiving a reply, then they will not cover anything. So, do I wait three days for a possible partial covered repair (and not have a fridge) or do I call a repairman today? By the way, this is the second major repair to my fridge in the last few months. The first came when the water line (on the fridge, not the connection to the house) cracked and leaked behind the fridge, causing considerable damage to my floor and the ceiling in the basement. My insurance company was involved and asked for the cracked tube after I had it replaced. They said that they would consider legal actions to recover the insurance claim.

Bought new LG electric range in 2016. Installed summer of 2017. Stopped working November 4 2017. Called LG. Under warranty. Took 2 weeks to get a service person out. He said it was the control board and ordered parts. Parts took 2 weeks to come in. Service person said they would install on Nov. 30. December 8- still my stove is not working. Called LG. They said sorry we have to wait for the repairperson to do their job. Give it 3 more days. Beyond frustrated-it is impossible and expensive to feed my family of 6 without a functioning oven. Additionally LG said they had escalated my case and then closed it without actually talking to me. Incredibly poor customer service. I will never buy another LG appliance. Unfortunately my house is currently full of them. Hope they keep working.

They even texted me for information which I sent - in April -- and to date, absolutely no response. This is not acceptable!Original Review: I bought an LG refrigerator in 2014 and in December of 2020, it failed completely - cooling and freezing. I had a local authorized LG serviceman come and and he called tech support only to find out it was unrepairable. However, LG refuses to honor their warranty -- 7 years sealed system and 10 year compressor. After many emails they agreed to issue me a small payment but of course I have not seen anything! They are awful!!

As youve all stated, this brand is junk. Not only has my 2006/07 model washer failed twice, it smells (even after clean and running tub clean often) and it leaves streaks on whites. After each white load, I inspect the garment before drying because if you do, it will be permanent. The dryer doesnt dry. You have to run at least the normal cycle and then follow-up with the speed dry cycle to finish it off. This isnt only me. I have 4 friends who have the LG combo (various models, years, configurations) and each has similar complaints. I will never buy anything from LG ever again. Nothing.

I purchased LG washing machine model #WT5101HW on 6-26-2011. In December, I realized that the hot/cold cycle was not hot. The water was really not even warm. I called LG and after speaking to numerous people, they agreed to send a tech out. On December 20, 2011, the tech arrived only to inform me that it was an ongoing problem and there was nothing he could do. It was the way LG designed the machine. On the hot cycle, it adds both hot and cold water so that is why it is not hot. I was furious! I called LG and they informed me that if I wanted to wash my clothes in hot water to use the sanitary cycle which is a 3 hour cycle or the bright whites cycle. My washing machine has an internal heater that is supposed to heat the water to 122 degrees on bright whites and 158 on sanitary. On my bright whites, it is only 90 degrees and not sure what it is on sanitary. LG is advertising that they have a hot cycle when in fact it is not hot and it makes no sense to add cold water to perfectly good hot water and then heat it back up! How is this energy efficient? I called LG again today and now I am being informed that the heater only works on sanitary and if I want hotter water on my cycles, I need to turn up my hot water heater. On page 7 on the instruction manual, it clearly says, the heater increases water temperature and provides better cleaning for sanitary and bright whites.” So, even LG is admitting hotter water cleans better! This machine is a complete joke. LG should not be able to advertise that this machine has a hot cycle when it fact it does not.

I purchased the machine about 6 years ago. For the last few years, rust has accumulated around the outside of the bleach dispenser (i.e., the area where you pour the bleach in to be dispensed later during the wash cycle). It is getting worse and covers a larger area as time goes on. According to the LG customer service, the cause is spilled bleach around the dispenser area and furthermore, they say, this is merely cosmetic and does not affect the function of the washing machine. I disagree.First, as noted, the area is growing. Second, there are stains on clothing after washing that are hard to explain any way other than something to do with the rust on the body of the machine. Finally, I do not believe it has anything to do with spilled bleach because there is a spout in the back of the machine that delivers rinse water and that spout is also rusting. It would be necessary for me to purposefully pour bleach over this spout, or wipe it on, in order to for bleach to cause the rust in that location. Like some other reviewers, I have had a few problems with a UE error message, but it usually works out. This could be because I do wash rather small loads and I tend to use the bulky bedding setting, even for small loads, to get enough water to thoroughly wash and rinse the clothes.Overall I am very disappointed with the LG and would prefer an agitator type machine in order to not use so much water for small loads. Thats what I will be looking for to replace this one - since spending even $300 for a technician to come and look at it seems excessive. I should add that three years ago I purchased another LG machine for a different location; at that time there was no rust on my home washer. The newer machine has been used rarely because it is in a vacation house. Nonetheless, after approximately 100 uses, the circuit board quit and the machine is dead. Naturally it is out of warranty, so getting rid of it seems the only sensible solution.

I have hated this washer almost since we bought it. Not long after we got it something in computer board malfunctioned within 6 months of buying it. Had to have a repair man come fix it. It is a LG WaveForce with direct drive inverter. It stops and beeps all the time because clothes are unbalanced. I dont feel it cleans my clothes very well. I have a hard time getting my clothes out of washer. (I am only 5 ft. tall so that is not really an issue with the washing machine itself.) Purchased LG fridge couple years ago from Home Depot on clearance. Nice, big, spacious. The ice maker has a silly ice plus button to make more ice. First, the ice compartment is small so the ice plus button is really needed to be on all the time. Second, ice plus button turns off automatically. So if you use a lot ice dont buy one that has an ice plus button. LG should have an ice maker that does not need an ice plus button. Thirdly, the so called water filters you have to purchase from home depot are not oem filters. The OEM filters are high priced and need to be changed every three months to get the water to dispense like it did when it was new. I will not purchase another LG ice & water dispenser on a fridge. For future reference buy simple less headaches.

They say they will contact me and they never do, I have to call them 3 times a week to keep things moving.Missing time from work to be home for repair people, they made a mess in my house. Open the system under pressure and sprayed refrigerant oil vapor in my kitchen and dining room… They don’t care about the customer at all… Keep apologizing on the phone, yet their action reflects zero effort to correct their defective unit. All the local LG service companies refused to work on their product, Technicians told me they can’t fix it and they will not touch an LG refrigerator sealed system. Sounds like my experience mirrors everyone else on here. Had a $2,500 LG fridge, and 2 months after their warranty expired, the fridge and freezer both suddenly stopped working. Called the company and scheduled an authorized repairman to come take a look for $79. He was unable to locate the problem and basically said it was not repairable and that we were out of luck. He offered to try a few things that could possibly fix the problem, but each of those tries would cost a significant amount of money and there was no guarantee. In his words, each of these repair attempts would be like throwing a dart at a dartboard and hoping for a bullseye. Obviously we declined this dartboard method of repair, and now we have to buy a whole new refrigerator. Suffice to say it will not be an LG!! What a piece of absolute garbage. After diligently researching washers, including consulting Consumer Reports
After diligently researching washers, including consulting Consumer Reports, I decided to purchase an LG Tromm washer. Approximately 6.5 years after the purchase, the washer broke, specifically the metal spindle completely cracked from the metal drum. I called an LG endorsed repairman who ordered a new metal drum. Three weeks later, the drum came in but was damaged. He returned it and ordered another one. Two weeks later, the wrong drum was received. Again, he called and verified the part and this time, it took four weeks to arrive. When he went to replace the drum, it wouldnt fit and when he called the company (tech support), they verified that the drum was not the original piece. They also told him (and this was in front of me) that the specific type is no longer manufactured and that my washer would need to be retrofitted to accommodate the new drum type. This would cost more than the washer! I called customer support at LG and was told that they do not accept complaints. I asked what was done when one was sent in and was told that they just collected the complaints. So now, I am left with a broken washer, a pedestal that only fits LG front loaders and no venue to voice my displeasure. I will never purchase from LG again!

LG front load washer is four years old. I got an LE message then the machine wouldnt run, so I called for service. Stainless Steel drum has lifetime warranty. The motor has 7-year warranty. The service technician was on the phone with LG for about an hour, apparently trying to understand the Pakistani man. The end result was $700 to repair the drum and motor and replace the plastic drum around the inner drum, which of course has no warranty, and about 5 hours labor to tear it all apart. It doesnt matter what model. It is a $1,000 washer that should not need $700 in repairs in four years. This is the very last LG product that is ever purchased at my house. If I could have given it zero stars, I would have.

I cannot believe I have been duped by LG - I have had one problem after another with this refrigerator (LFXS29766S) that cost $2884.00 and was purchased in April 2015. Worked fine for almost a year. I called Home Depot where it was purchased when the ice and water on the door failed. They said, too bad it was 13 months after purchase and they only cover up to 12 months. Water failed again and had to be fixed. Now, it stopped cooling and no fan. Every service repair company turned me down to work on this fridge because they are notorious for being as one said crappy - needless to say, I am a very unhappy person and will NEVER by an LG appliance again. (I have a LG TV and dishwasher so they have lost a loyal customer.)

I bought an LG washer, model number WM2240CW, on 3/20/2011. I thought it was working okay until I noticed that everything I washed would stink. So I watched it wash one day and I saw it wasnt putting enough water in. So I added more water with a hose and it washed fine. So I called LG and told them the problem. They told me I was overloading the washer. I told them that five tee-shirts and five pairs of underwear with 10 socks wasnt overloading. I told them no matter what I wash, it didnt put enough water in. They told me this was normal. I said, No, it wasnt. I could see dry spots on my clothes while it was washing. They would not do anything about it. So now I have to add water with a hose every time I do a wash load! Dont buy an LG washer. They are no good and their service sucks!

We purchased this oven in February 2016 years ago and it stopped working properly several months ago. Now the oven temperature does not get hot enough even when raising higher than the normal range. We cant bake anything properly with it because at best, it takes twice as long. Also, this oven has never been easy to clean as advertised. We have found that we have to work just as hard as we did with our older models, and with chemicals to get it clean. It has been a discouraging experience to have purchased a model that was a supposed upgrade only to have it not working in less than 2.5 years. Unfortunately, the warranty was only for 1 year and we did not purchase an extension.

The motor has stopped working on my dishwasher and it is within the 10 year motor warranty. LG says they will replace the motor, however I need to pay $180 for a service tech to install the new motor. They say the motor itself is free, I just need to pay labor. I told them to send me the motor and I will install it myself, however they refuse to do so. The terms of the contract state that I am responsible for labor, that should give me the freedom to use my own labor, not be forced to pay (and overpay) for theirs.

We purchased a washer and dryer set in December. The week of June 22nd I called because the washer stopped working. The technician was sent out on June 26th and it was determined that 5 parts must be replaced because it was defective. They were suppose to be replaced on June 29th and the technician called to tell me the parts didnt arrive over the weekend and he would hopefully call me to come back out on July 1st. It is now July 14th and we STILL do not have a washer! I paid for a BRAND new washer, not a defective one. This is UNACCEPTABLE that this is taking this long! I have called the 1-800 number several times and every time, Im told that it should be here tomorrow. I am having to go pay to wash my clothes at a laundromat. I am tired of the run around! I want this taken care of and I want it explained to me how a brand new product that is currently still being sold can take this long to be fixed! Your product and your customer service has much to be desired!

Again another tech came out and replaced the compressor. And now here is the nightmare. As soon as tech left unit started making a loud banging noise. Called LG again and same tech came out. Worked on it and left. It took less than 30 minutes for noise to come back. Next day same tech comes out and worked on it but he really didnt know what was wrong. He left and same problem. The banging is so loud that we can hear it from our bedroom. It got so bad that I had to pull out the unit and unplug at 3 am. And now LG sending the same tech out for the 5th time. This unit cost us $3100...

We got an LGLMX25964ST/02 refrigerator 7.5 years ago. Last week water started leaking from the ice dispenser door. Two days after that my wife called to say that all the food in the freezer part had defrosted. When I got home I pulled the fridge away from the wall and checked the fan and compressor, they seemed to be running fine. I called LG and I was told the fridge is out of warranty and diagnostic would be $185 plus parts and labor! I am still trying to figure out what to do, fix the 7 year old one or buy a new one, from what Ive been reading its not going to be an LG. I had to call 3x and each time I was put on hold for at least 20 minutes while they looked up information. The info is easily found on their site. Needless to say, the site says, Hazard: An unbalanced load can cause the washing machine to shake excessively and the drum to come loose during use, posing a risk of injury to consumers and property damage to the surrounding area. LG is telling me to wait until I have a problem then call. All 3 agents told me the same thing. I thought the point of a recall is to prevent a known issue. Not with LG. During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kit
During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kitchen after having extension plumbing work done to our home. As part of that, we wanted new appliance and bought the LG refrigerator because it was the size we need to fill the space. A couple of years after we purchased it, it stopped cooling. I called LG and a customer service person told me to unplug it for at least six hours and plug it back in. I did and that seemed to fix the problem. It also had some type of water leak with the ice maker that would allow a large sheet of ice to build up to the point in the bottom the door would no longer close. I was able to remove it without much difficulty, but this happened continuously until the water line to the unit froze and burst and I turned off the line completely. In August of 2015, our refrigerator quit cooling and we contacted the company to see if it was still under warranty and we were told the compressor and sealed system was covered for seven years. This is a parts only warranty. They gave me the name of four repair companies and I contacted the one closest to me. The first tech looked at it and said they would have to send someone else out. I paid him for the call $75 and he left. The next tech came a few days later and quoted me a price of $275 to replace the compressor and the evaporator, but told me LG refrigerators had a history of leaking in the tubing in the walls and if that was in fact the problem, it could not be fixed. He told me to contact LG and begin the process of getting the parts. This began a two month struggle of phone calls back and forth between myself, LG and the repairman. No matter who I called, they said I needed to talk to the other one. The repairman eventually stopped taking my calls and after weeks of trying to get help, an LG customer service representative told me he informed the company he would no longer work on their products, a lie on someones part because he fixed my boss refrigerator a few weeks after that. They told me to contact another person on the list, so I went to the next closest person to my town, who refused to touch it because someone else had already looked at it. It was October 27 before LG was able to get A&E to get a repairman out. They told me I would not have to pay for the call because of the inconvenience it had created. He replaced the dryer in the back and the next day, I was once again able to put food back into it.Around December 14, my wife noticed the refrigerator was again not cooling. I contacted LG and they contact A&E, who couldnt get anyone out until January 12. The repairman didnt show up on the 12th and when I called, they didnt have the appointment in the system. They rescheduled for the next week. When the repair technician arrived, he called his supervisor to say it looked like the wrong type of dryer (dye dryers help them diagnose where leaks may be) had been put on the unit. They suggested he hook a freon tank to the unit and heat it with a welding torch and listen for the leak. He didnt hear anything and suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator. He was told not to do anything to the unit because they wanted another technician to come out and look at the unit to try and find the leak. (The company never noted any of this in their system and the tech says he doesnt remember the call.) He apologized to me and told me he felt the leak was in the walls of the refrigerator and couldnt be fixed. A few days later, two techs arrived at the house and my frustration level had reached a boiling point. He asked me what had happened with the previous visit, I told him and he called his supervisor. That was when we found out no notes were taken on the previous call. He then suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator and I took my frustration out on him.He was the tech who came in October and defended the fact he put in the right evaporator. He said if there was no visible sign of a leak during the last visit, then the leak was in the walls of the unit and could not be fixed. He advised me to call LG and felt they needed to honor their warranty, which I did. The customer service representative said they couldnt do anything until the tech filed his report. She never gave me any impression the problem might not fall under their warranty. I left the tech a message and he talked to a supervisor who said they would come out and replace the compressor and evaporator, but it would be the last visit made to my home on this issue. He told me to call LG and get the compressor and evaporator shipped to my home. I did and they promptly connected me to A&E to set up the service call. (I never received the replacement parts.)When the tech arrived a few days later, he called a supervisor and they told him to hook up the sealed system and check gauge readings. There was talk about a blockage in the lines. After several minutes, the tech disconnected the gauges, the call ended and he told me if the line was blocked it was in the walls of the unit and was not repairable. At this point, I contacted LG and was connected to the executive services office in Huntsville, Alabama. I spoke with a woman there who was pleasant at first, but then informed me the lines in the wall are not part of the sealed system. I told her there was no way to repair them because they were literally sealed in the wall. She then proceeded to tell me it was my fault for not reading the warranty information on the unit completely. I have owned LG Cell phones and other electronic products and was always pleased with how they worked. As a home appliance company, they are terrible. I paid more than two-weeks pay to buy this refrigerator. My last refrigerator I paid $350 for and it lasted nearly 15 years. If LG is the only company to make refrigerators in the future, I will search antique stores and look for an old fashioned ice chest and become friends with the ice man before I put another one of their products in my home.

The shelving runners are really cheap plastic and break if you look at them so our drawers are tilted. I will never ever buy another LG. The parts are extortionate to replace and hard to get. When we built our house in 2006, I specifically requested LG appliances. This was a huge mistake. Within 2 1/2 years, the dishwasher quit working. I went to LGs site and found a repairman. He proceeded to tell me that the motor had burned out and it would be over $300 to repair. LG said that since it was a 2-year warranty, they could not help me. Last year, the temperature control on my range went out. The temp would be set for 350 and within a few minutes, the entire kitchen was filled with smoke because it had scorched everything in the oven. Needless to say, I didnt even bother with a repairman. I simply replaced the stove. At about the same time, the icemaker in the French door refrigerator quit working. After googling troubleshooting recommendations, it would appear that this is defective as well. It would be over $200 to repair but I believe it was mentioned that it would fail again soon so there wasnt any point in replacing it. That leaves the over the range microwave. So far, it is the only thing that hasnt screwed up. I will never purchase nor recommend purchasing another LG appliance.

I filed complaint 12/5/20, called 12/23/20 because LG has not contacted me. Ashley at LG stated that Claim and Case WAS NOT Submitted nor processed and have to resubmit and wait another 10 business days for their response, if any. LG wants us to follow up if they dont contact us after 1/3/2021. UNBELIEVABLE! We have not used our LG Refrigerator since 10/28/2020, look how long LG has Procrastinated in resolving issue. LG will not contact us, follow up or make our case a PRIORITY as Louis stated it was. When LG states on 12/23/2020 they have to resubmit claim because of their error and we have to follow up ourselves is disturbing. I am sorry to write a 2nd review, but again, LG will not contact us accept through this site. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE RESOLUTION PROCESS. All we want is our LG Refrigerator that we bought and paid for. Is this asking to much from LG?Original Review: Terrible Customer Service and Quality of 2020 LG Counter Depth French. Received on 9/3/2020. Broke down, No power at unit, on 10/28/2020. It took LG 19 days to inspect after missing 3 LG scheduled repairs appointments that LG set up for us. LG opened 5 Customer Concern Reports and Three Different Repair Orders. Refrigerator not repairable and none in stock through Home Depot. We had to Reorder another LG unit and paid extra for an ESP plan to protect ourselves, $195.00 dollars for an ESP plan to Protect ourselves. LG promised delivery 1/25/2021, UNBLIEVEABLE. Home Depot tried to elevate our New Order, 11/20/2020, but with no help from LG. Home Depot would rather upset an American Customer than upset LG, a South Korean Company, who lacks American Values, Culture, Empathy and Ethics. LG should provide FREE 5 year ESP plan with units to Prove that LG has Trust and Confidence in their Products.

We have had an F3 error code issue for months, it threw the error for the first time 2 years to the month from date of manufacture. We have had the range for 26 months and the error for the last six months of that. After numerous calls with LG they would tell us to unplug the unit and at first that would clear the error only for it to return a few days to a week later, then when those calls resulted in the error never clearing they suggested that we have a tech out to fix it at our own expense since it was beyond warranty. After numerous visits from a LG referred appliance repair company, having LG first suggest we spend $200 on a part to replace the buttons, then when that didnt work asked to spend another $160 on the actual control panel part for the electronic system LG shipped a part for this stove which does not fit in the actual model we have. They apparently have discontinued the original part that is needed, at this point there is no part that fits our range which was manufactured 2 years ago in March 2018, we received the stove in June 2018 and have had issues with the F3 error button in a continuous shortage stage since about March 2020.This was not a cheap gas range. It cost ~$2,000 and to have spent $360 on parts + another $200 on labor at this point we are so frustrated. that is $560 that we could have put towards a stove that would not be a continuous pain the the side to have repaired, for an issue that should not be coming up so close to the manufacture date on an appliance of this cost only to find that they dont make the part we need any longer. I would not recommend purchasing a LG range to anyone I know.

We purchased a LG washer several years ago from Home Depot. It is a nightmare. It smells horrible. I have to leave the door open whenever it is not in use. The washer makes so much noise and lights flashing that my papillon stands back and barks from afar. I bought used Maytag and wish everyday that I could own any brand but LG, and I will never buy anything that saves water again. How much is my time worth? A lot. I will join you in any lawsuit or civil action. These machines are horrible and expensive. What a waste. But I laughed so hard reading the posts, I am sure it added years to my life. I was looking online to see if I could throw the detergent in with the clothes because the dispenser does not work anymore.

I bought my washer and dryer a few years ago. About a month, maybe less from the first use my washer would drain out all over the floor. I couldnt figure out why. I read the troubleshooting manual and found it had a drain. So now every other day I drain it in a bucket so it doesnt leak ALL over my floor. I shouldnt have to drain my washer... it shouldnt leak. A few weeks after my washer started leaking my dryer stopped drying. I did all the vent cleaning and it didnt help. I found one setting that will dry my clothes. I have to put it on cotton/towels for 1 hr to dry a small load or a large load. That is the only setting that works. Now my dryer has been making a loud noise for months, my clothes have also been getting caught and all my tank tops straps get stretched and ripped. I just took a good look inside and the drum is not only cracked, a big piece is broken off. After reading all the trouble people have trying to get help from LG I will not bother. I am going to buy a new set NOT MADE BY LG... I can no longer deal with trying to get laundry done for a family of 5 with useless appliances.

From day one, our 1+ year old LG WF487OCW top loading washer has stopped mid cycle with the UE error message. The start cycle that assesses the load size is a joke. It fails most often when I try to do a delicate cycle with a small load. I might have to rearrange that load 2-3 times or more to complete a cycle. But it can happen with any size load. With my laundry in the basement, I can never assume that the load I put in is done. Very frustrating to have to repeatedly rearrange the load. The machine will actually go into a violent series of moves before stopping. Washing machines typically last us many years. After reading other reviews, we find ourselves wishing that we had picked another brand. We actually chose this one based on good reviews from Consumer Reports! Sounds like we would only be facing additional frustrations if we tried to reach LG for customer service.

Companies, if our children are disappointed with your product, How will the company remain in business if our children stop buying your product? I know my circle of friends and family know how disappointed I am in LG. One Child Stated, Life is Good living out of an Ice Chest. Mom we need more Ice! Shared that story with LG. I was still denied an Extended Warranty.

Even though we always have problems with the musty smell (while leaving the washing machine door open, emptying drain monthly, cleaning filter monthly, using bleach Time Cycle monthly up until the machine was 16 months old), the last 3 months we have had this random brown residue that streaks our clothes, stains our clothes and we cannot get it out.LG customer service has not been helpful, stating we should have called earlier with our complaints. I had to beg for a supervisor, who said he would try to get it covered to be seen by a technician by sending our complaint to a consultant. We are in the process of doing that currently. I am very disappointed with this machine from the get go.

I just called LG to try and warranty my french door refrigerator with a broken compressor. I purchased my unit Aug. 2012, and I am well within my 10 year warranty. Heck, Im still within the 7 year warranty for the other parts that will need to be replaced when they repair the compressor. They transferred me to their affiliated repair company and they want $1000.00 to fix my unit. If Im under warranty, why do I have to pay that much for something that is guaranteed to break again, from reading all these comments???? $1k I might as well use that money for a new unit, not LG!

He told me that the door need to be replace it. He send all the information to LG, however, they did not reply. He provide me their customer service number. When I called them I was told that they did not do anything about cosmetic problems. I have been looking for background about these type of refrigerators, and there are more customers having this type of issues as well. How can a company does not take care of their quality? Why is this type of products in the market? Who is responsible for bad quality? I paid an extra warranty, and reported to them as well, but they told me that LG should be responsible for their quality.

I purchased my refrigerator in 2017. Sometime between July 13 - 24th 2021 (I was on vacation) my refrigerators compressor failed. The refrigerator is still under factory warranty and, I have additional extended warranty. I have spent the last month since July 24th trying to get a replacement/reimbursement for my refrigerator because the service technician they sent out deemed my refrigerator a BioHazard due to the food decomp in the freezer that was kept at room temperature for the compressor fail date until we returned on the 24th.Claims has tried to force a settlement for me to take. That is more of an insult than an offer. Less than half of what was paid for it. This refrigerator was part of a class action lawsuit for the exact reason mine failed and they will not adhere to their own settlement. My opinion is to not purchase an LG. I wish I had purchased a different suite of appliances. Hindsight is always 20/20. Pray you dont have to call. I have to stay on wait to get through for 1 - 2 hours.

Ive read plenty of horror stories about LGs microwaves on this website, to include how bad the customer service is. I purchased my LG LMV1683ST /00 over-the-range microwave in 2014 (product was manufactured June 2013). Since then, we have had the control board (LEDs burnt out) and the turntable motor (really bad squeal) replaced (in the first year!), and I just had the control board replaced again, today (when you close the door the internal light turns on, and turntable spins, even though I didnt command them to). I was able to get the warranty work done by contacting Lowes (where it was purchased), and they sent out repairmen in a timely manner. For the latest repair, I had to contact LG directly. After reading reviews of other peoples experiences dealing with customer service, I decided not to deal with them, and instead, requested to be immediately transferred to a supervisor. I explained (in a calm, not demanding manner) how this unit has already had 2 repairs, and now needs another one. He understood my concerns, and setup an appointment for a repairman to come out, at no charge. I stated that I thought the issue was the control board again. The repairman came today (LG repairman), was very personable, and had a new control board in hand. Microwave was repaired in 10 minutes, and were back up and running. In summary, the customer service experience was good (because I spoke directly with a supervisor), but the quality of the product is substandard. Lets see how long it takes for something else to fail.

With my laundry room in the basement I am constantly up and down the steps resetting the wash. I have NEVER been able to complete my wash in one day since buying this poor excuse for a washer 1 1/2 years ago!!!! Its not even worth 1 star but it wouldnt let me submit without at least 1.

$2400 Like throwing money down the drain. Bought this refrigerator 2014. Five years later it quit cooling. I have owned other refrigerators that last 15 years and more. Technician came and said it is the compressor but the labor will be about $900 which I am liable for. (Of course also had a $95 service call cost.) Been without a refrigerator for a week now. Filed a claim and will have to wait another few business days to see if LG will cover all the cost. Technician said even if it gets fixed it will probably go out again in a few years. We did all our research prior to purchasing this refrigerator.... Guess those reviews meant nothing. Not to mention the loss of all that food and no sense of urgency from the company.

LG said that the dryer is functioning as normal. They said I am supposed to hang all my clothes after the cycle is complete if I want to use energy saver mode. They did a remote diagnostic and said there are no malfunctions. I purchased washer and dryer (LG waveforce topload) from Home Depot last year and making such a big purchase was quite scary. I could not more disappointed!! As I write I am going into 3 hours on 1 load of towels and a few baby items! Seems like every other load will constantly give me the UE code during spinning, doesnt matter how many times you adjust your clothes. I mean who really has time to stand there for over 3 hours adjusting clothes! This is insane! I have had servicemen from Home Depot come out 3 times over the last year and NOTHING has changed. By reading the other reviews I see I am not the only one, which brings little comfort as I pull my hair out and pack my other bedding to go to Laundromat so I can go on with my day. Shame on you LG for deceiving us public in not only thinking we were getting a good product but also saying its energy efficient and for wasting my money and another day off!!!!

When I finally got to talk to Theresa (a corporate supervisor) at 10AM I was told that I do not qualify for a new refrigerator and that I needed to call back tomorrow to schedule an appointment for repairs. Where to start... Loading this is awkward. Nothing fits easily without having to adjust the racks. The silverware holder is flimsy and falls apart every time you pull it out. I had to zip ties ours together. It takes more than 2 hours to run a Normal wash. And unless you washed everything before loading, the chances of the load being 100 percent clean is slim to none. You have a better chance of George Clooney and Brad Pitt washing and drying your dishes by hand than you do of getting a clean load out of this machine! You have to use liquid soap. Pods wont dissolve in this machine. Theres a filter. A pain-in-the-butt filter, with a Rubber washer that is to be emptied and cleaned every few days. Plus the spray arms clog.Often... THIS MACHINE REQUIRES MORE MAINTENANCE THAN A BEVERLY HILLS HOUSEWIFE!!! And like a RHOBH, it does NOT work! This is a perfect machine for a Newlywed couple who is despised by a frenemy or scorned mother in law. This machine will drive a newlywed insane. Night after night of unclean dishes. This is the kind of machine that will give a new wife an eating disorder... If you buy this machine, your spouse will not only question your thought process about this purchase, but he will question you. And why he ever dumped Susan for you. He will question all of his life choices with you after a few weeks with this purchase. This machine is that bad. Im serious. I would not buy this machine for Eva Braun as a wedding present. I wouldnt wish it on her. Dont. Just dont.

We have a had our LG washing machine and dryer now for approximately six years. My washing machine decided to break down and we have called several appliance repair shops and none of them want to work on LG. They say trying to get the parts for them is impossible and they are impossible to work on. I finally found one place that is willing to come out and look at it but they are giving me no guarantee. Last month our LG refrigerator had a spring break on the flapper part of the door. We called several appliance repair places. None of them wanted to work on it because it was LG. I finally talked one into coming out because it was only a spring, right? Well they couldn’t just replace the spring. The whole flapper had to be replaced. Much to our surprise the only flapper that was available took six weeks to get to us. And it cost $300 because a little tiny spring broke. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! We will never ever purchase an LG product again.

No warning via any simple brochures or sales people that small loads result in a wet log which requires a second manual time setting extension of drying time and the separation of the individual items from the compressed log one a a time for the rerun. Sometimes the result of the rerun is loose dry items (ideal), or a dry compressed log still needing separation. This is a waste of owners time and effort. There was no such hassle with our old dryer. Worst mistake Ive made, buying LG refrigerator Model LFX25976ST French door, freezer on bottom and ice cube and water dispenser in the door. Within the first year the ice make was giving me problems and after numerous service calls and complaints, I finally had to pay to have it replaced. Now mind you, this the 7th year of owning this piece of crap. In not quite 7 years Ive four service calls, including one where I had to replace the intake valve for the water at the bottom rear of the refer. And another service charge and parts charge. Now its becoming a money pit. Here I am 4 months short of 7 years owning this refer. And the compressor goes bye bye, This time its a $65.00 service call to tell me that it would cost me another $1,569.00 to replace it. Now Ive had enough. Went out and bought a new refrigerator and am hopeful that its going to be a better experience than the piece of ** LG that I had! My recommendation is to never buy a LG product. The service tech was very happy, a five minute call and made $65.00 for it. He said the letters on the refrigerator should read GL in stead of LG standing GOOD LUCK and I believe he was right. Anyone that buys any LG Product deserves what they get.

I have had this front load washer about 5 years. Have had to replace the drain pump and the water mixing valve already. We always leave the door open for a few hours after each wash to dry the front seal or we get the moldy smell. Its pretty bad when we forget that step. Now the display flashes all the way across the control panel and the washer will not start washing. The wife and I are a small family and generally wash only 3-4 loads a week, so the washer doesnt get a lot of use. Im ready to give up on this washer. Linear Compressors - My LG LSXS26326 came with my home when I purchased it.
Linear Compressors - My LG LSXS26326 came with my home when I purchased it. The fridge is less than 5 years old. In the year Ive had it Ive noticed intermittent cooling/ice production issues. If the temp got above 77 degrees in my house, the fridge would struggle to make ice or keep food cool. Then, on Memorial Day weekend, with family visiting, it finally died. I have a homeowners warranty (fantastic investment) that covers all my appliances. Never had an issue on the couple of things Ive had to call them on. This fridge is an exception. After a TWO WEEK long rigamarole between them and LG to determine a) If the fridge was under warranty. (It wasnt. Im not the original purchaser, as I tried in vain to explain to all parties.) b) Who was going to pay for what (warranty company, all of it). The part is perpetually back ordered. There are so many of these compressors that are failing, they cannot make them fast enough to replace the failed units. Even the replacements are failing within a couple days/weeks/months/years depending on your luck. Today is June 22, and I am, just today, getting my fridge fixed. This process has been an absolute nightmare. And I have a future failure to look forward to. All I can do is cross my fingers and hope this one holds out until I get taxes back next year and can replace it with a functional fridge. I will NEVER, EVER, buy anything LG again in my life. And be CAREFUL. These same compressors are used in Kenmore Elite fridges as well!

We purchased the front load washer and dryer in December 2010. The pretty red ones! What a mistake! Actually, no problems with the dryer, except it doesnt seem to dry as well as it did in the beginning. I always have to add a click or two to the automatic dry time. The washer broke this June 2011. We had Geek Squad come out, it took four weeks for them to get back to replace the drum and three other pieces that attach to the drum. Four weeks! Then it broke again six weeks later. Same thing, we tried to get Geek Squad out again and they are so hard to work with to schedule a time. They should realize people have jobs! I called Best Buy to get help and they gave me LGs direct line. She was very helpful and friendly. But then the service tech called and his first words were, Do you agree to pay for this service call? and told us it was not the drum, it was a shock absorber. He hadnt even been to the house! He just told us this by the description. He wasnt coming out until we agreed on the phone to pay for the service call. Forget it. We are going to buy a new washer tonight. It will not be an LG. We bought our LG 4 years ago at Best Buy. We have always bought Whirlpool refrigerators in the past and they all worked well for TEN years or more. This LG is a piece of junk!!!! During the first couple of years, we had to have a repairman out twice for the icemaker. The second time, they had to order a replacement part for the motherboard. About a month ago, the refrigerator-part stopped cooling. We called the only qualified repair shop in the area and were told that it would be a week before they could get to us. For some unknown reason, it started cooling several days later so I cancelled the appointment. It cooled for several weeks and then stopped again. Now, both the refrigerator and the freezer have stopped. We have called the repair shop again and must wait 5 days for them to come and they will probably have to order parts. So, we have no idea when it will be fixed. If I could afford to throw it out the door, I would. I will NEVER, NEVER buy another LG refrigerator.
