I purchased a LG Refrigerator (model no: LSC27910SW) about 4 years ago. 4 months into it the icemaker broke. 8 months after that the lever for the icemaker would get stuck when you pushed it in forcing you to manually grab the lever to stop water/ice. Had it fixed again. 1 1/2 into it it started doing it again. We have been living with it like that. NOW the outside of the refrigerator is rusting all around the outside of the dispenser and on the corners of it. I live in Colorado. We don't have humidity. I E-mail LG 2 days ago. No response. Called LG today. They said "Sorry but we can't do anything for you." I told them, "I am buying a new refrigerator, do you want me to buy a LG again?" His response was "that's up to you." I will never buy ANYTHING LG again.

The freezer part of the refrigerator quit working after only two years. The fact that Samsung is aware of the problem tells me it is a regular occurrence. I wrote to them about the problem and they directed the questions and then said it had to be repaired at my expense. The specific model is RF217 French door.

When selecting our refrigerator, we went on Viking's reputation. Also, my husband's in interior design and that was also part of the reason why we chose Viking as opposed to a GE product, which we have at another house. However, we are a little disappointed with Viking. We’ve had the refrigerator for less than a year and all this stuff started happening right around a month’s time. We were having problems with the ice maker and when I called Viking repair service, they put in a service call. Somebody came out but didn’t really do anything other than change the ice maker. He said that it should be working within 24 hours but it still is not. They came for a second service call after that. The contractor's follow-up was not up to what I think Viking would expect from their name though. I've had to follow up twice with the service repair people to find out what was going on with my refrigerator. They have been telling me that they needed to order another ice maker and a different part but based on the recent weather in the Southeast, it was being delayed. There are also other things that I have to have the repair person look at. We have a bottom refrigerator and the door clicks every time we hold the door open. Other than that, I had received a part that is supposed to be on one of the doors so that you can have butter or whatever else you want to use in a climate-controlled environment. But it doesn’t fit in there and nobody that I’ve called at Viking has been able to give me an answer on how to have it fit. But other than that, we like the refrigerator, me probably more so than my husband.

Bought a Samsung refrigerator and within 2 years the ice maker quit making ice. Called Samsung and said warranty was no longer valid on the ice maker. I called them back and argued about their ice makers not being very good and that there was a lot of problems with them. They said they would make an exception to fix it this time. Got it fixed and 4 months later it went out again and stopped making ice. They said they would no longer service, even knowing that they have had lots of trouble with their ice makers. I definitely won't buy another Samsung. I wouldn't have even given them 1 star.

My whirlpool refrigerator relay switch caught on fire and customer service told me that my model wasn't on their list of problems refrigerators, but they know there are a lot of units out with the chance that it could start a fire if anyone has a whirlpool product refrigerator. I would call 1-888-923-8502 and check to see if it is on there list to replace the switch.

I bought a Samsung fridge in Nov. 2014, from day one the ice maker has delivered crushed ice while in the cubed mode. Had 4 repairmen here and was told nothing could be done, it was a Samsung design flaw. This was a three French door design. Why doesn't Samsung fix this problem? My old fridge never had this problem!

My new fridge (LG LFX31925SW) looked great. Had the features I wanted at what I thought was a reasonable price $2300. Then crap happened. Within the first year I had two failures. A circuit board failed and the fans for the freezer would get covered with ice and failed. That was covered under warranty. No coverage for lost food. Fast forward 3 years and I had a similar experience as many others described with a failed compressor. $385 service call. When I brought this up at lunch with my co-workers every one of them mentioned having issues with an LG product. Needless to say I would never recommend or purchase an LG product again at any price.

After having 7 refrigerators breakdown all for the exact same exact reason, a $12 part, Whirlpool will only take the stance that you could have bought the extended warranty. So they're happy with you spending $150 each time the repair guy comes out. 7 refrigerators all for the same reason and they're only 3 years old. Do you really want to purchase a Whirlpool product after that? We are a development that has furnished are condos with Whirlpool but will no longer.
