Last Friday, I came home with a car-full of groceries only to find that something was wrong with my LG model LFX31925ST. Retrieving my owner’s manual to call for help on my 18-month old fridge deemed fruitless. After being on the phone with what seemed to be an outsourced customer service department for over 30 minutes, the only help I received was "My policy says I can't do anything,” which when translated meant I was out of luck. That cool feature where you can link your smart phone for a diagnostic check is only good for the first year. I was told he could schedule a serviceman to come out to check the codes on the door panel for a beginning fee of $89.00. I said I was unable to afford it and hung up. My son went online and looked up the error codes, which this rep refused to tell me what they meant and was not listed in the manual. After further online research, I was able to figure out what I could do and 24 hours later, it was back to working. It was the icemaker fan, which appears to be a flaw in these fridges. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I researched different products 2 years ago when I discovered that my husband was planning on leaving me. I insisted on what I thought was top of the line appliances in the kitchen. So I now have a fridge I can't rely on, a dishwasher that doesn't clean dishes no matter what soap or rinse agent I use and an oven that works but it is a good thing I don't cook much. I am disabled and on a fixed income, so I was hoping that my new kitchen would last me 10-15 years but may get less than 5 at this rate. Don't go by reviews on their website since they only use certain reviews.

People say that Viking Ranges have good stoves and cooktops. I'd say it's high quality and I'm happy so far. The simmer feature is nice, it heats up very quickly. One thing that I'm not satisfied about is that I don't have that option of a griller anymore. Now it's just a griddle, and I don't like it. But, beyond that, performance and everything else, I'm very happy.

Samsung company failed to replace the parts of my Trio-convection-microwave-oven saying that the Main-PCB, Coil-PCB and Capacitor were unavailable for products that are more than 5 years old. My microwave Samsung-Trio Oven is only 9 years old and quite a costly one. So Samsung should consider replacing it with a newer-model, with accepting payment of difference between the new-product and the price that Samsung owes me for taking back their old-product.

This is the second time I have purchased these appliances and unfortunately each one has been a great disappointment. I have spent enough in repair bills to almost purchase a warming drawer. Each one shuts down when the "self clean" button is turned on, and then I have to call a repairman out to recalibrate the oven to work each time I try to use the "self clean". I was told by the last repairman that the life of the oven is greatly shortened if you the "self clean" mode. If this is the case, either fix it or take out this mode. After I had the oven about a year the oven door glass blew out, and this had to be replaced. The temperature in the oven is very unreliable in different areas of the oven and browns more on one side than the other... For the high end cost of these ovens, I would just as soon have a basic oven that works and does not go out every few months. What a waste of money I consider Dacor to be, and will never recommend it to anyone I know. I am in the "personal shopping" business and have my own company, but will tell my clients to be very aware of the high cost/low performance of Dacor products... On a scale of 1 to 10, Dacor gets a "1".

The oven works. However, there are two safety issues. First, the flat metal panel above the air vent and below the instrument panel gets extremely HOT. This is the location we can easily touch, especially when we operate the instrument panel. We almost burned our hands. Second, the edges of the unit are very SHARP. We almost cut our legs. These are serious safety issues. In addition, we/I tried to post a review at Maytag site pointing out these safety issues. The review was twice "moderate" (i.e., rejected). Even though I used to like Maytag, this experience changed my mind.

Purchase the microwave in 2016. I have many Samsung products that I really like. This microwave stopped working and it gives me an error code. Samsung requested that I get a repair from a local repair shop that they recommended. I spent over $100 getting it diagnosed only to find out they could not fix it without replacing the motherboard. Samsung did not pay me back for the diagnosis they recommended. They told me that it was out of warranty and they would not pay for it. I was told I couldn't cook on my stove with the microwave above it??? I wish they would repair or replace it. Due to their neglect I will never buy Samsung microwaves again.

We have a Samsung model RF217 series refrigerator. It's an absolutely beautiful appliance to look at, but it freezes everything below the top shelf, even with the temperature at its highest setting. This is not the strangest thing, however. Ice accumulates in the vegetable bins. This seems impossible since there is no source of water - we have never hooked up a water line to the ice maker. So those of you with water in the vegetable bins, the source may not be the ice maker or water line. If anyone has the answer, I'd love to hear it.

I redid my kitchen and bought the Frigidaire professional series range, fridge and dishwasher. The 1st stove had to be replaced within a month for electrical problems, 2nd stove the wire was shorted out and the burner did not work. The fridge drawers were put together with tape from the factory and were broken. Sent me new ones, wrong ones. I have owned Frigidaire for over 30 years. They have gone downhill and I would never buy their appliances again. Also, dealing with customer service - you are on hold for 20 minutes. Some people are rude. Some are nice. I was swayed away from Samsung and LG because all the dealers told me you cannot get repair people to fix them. I don't know what I would next time. I was also suppose to get an extended warranty for 1 year parts and labor on the range. Haven't seen it come through the mail yet.

I purchased a 6 burner range with a grill in the middle. The center started to sag. I called the authorized service person in my area and he said he had installed a kit to fix the problem that Viking provided but that it wouldn't be free because my unit was no longer under warranty. He said the center grill wasn't properly supported so over time it sagged with heat or pressure. I complained to Viking because this was a defect they knew about. First excuse: they said they couldn't help because my unit wasn't properly registered even though the matching fridge was. I provided proof of purchase (original receipt) so they registered my unit. Second excuse: there was no kit ever produced perhaps because so few people complained. I said a manufacturing defect is a defect. They should fix it even if only one complained. I mentioned the repairman had fixed the problem for others and gave them his contact info. They said they would follow up but never did.

It's the same problem that I have read about over and over and over again. My 10 year old Thermador 27" double oven has had most of the problems described in previous reviews. The incessant beeping where you have to shut down breaker for it to stop, the default codes that pop up because of the erratic sensors, and finally the control board going on the fritz and finding out that there is no way to purchase anew or even rebuilt one because it has been discontinued. So, basically I have to spend $5,000 for a new oven when I only need a $300 replacement part. However, the good news is that I won't have to put up with this nonsense any longer.
