Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80R7060UG
French door, bottom freezer and smaller refrigerator. After 3 years it was in the landfill unfortunately. Samsung reps were just as awful and will NEVER buy Samsung anything again. Replaced refrigerator with an LG. So far so good after 1 year.
When I purchased my Samsung refrigerator, at the time was the number 1 rated refrigerator of its type. From early on, I had started having troubles with the lower ice maker plastic parts breaking off. The service tech said that this was a common problem. Later we started having issues with the upper unit not cooling. Again I had a service tech come out only to tell me that the Twin Cool Plus system is another common problem. I was told to empty my refrigerator and turn it off for 24-48 hours to allow the unit to defrost. Or I could use a blow dryer and try to speed up the process. Is this what it has come to?? I called on several occasions to discuss what they would do to solve the Twin Cool Plus problem, and all they wanted to do is to send another service tech at my expense to look at the refrigerator. Nothing ever gets resolved, nor do they seem to care.
Just like many others my refrigerator started having defrost issues and not keeping proper temperature after 18 months. $2200 Fridge and Samsung says there is nothing they can do. I’m joining the class action suit that has already been started. Thousands of people have this same issue. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG.
We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator from Home Depot in Feb. 2014. First problem - within weeks of purchase was that the vegetable drawer had no control for air/temp, fresh veggies died quickly, even carrots and root veggies. We bought $100 of special containers to be able to keep food as fresh as the old fridge. Then within the first two months, we began hearing the often-reported fan noise from ice buildup. This got worse over time and I finally called for service, also complaining about the veggie drawer. Prior to that scheduled service being performed, the next issue was the ice maker failing to shut off, even with the door open and jiggling the paddle switch. Another call to Samsung to add the new problem to the fan noise.Service arrived a week later, with a wrong ticket number, no warranty information, and no parts even for the known issue. The tech corrected the paperwork, inspected and ordered parts. Samsungs Andy then called me after the service to see if repairs were completed, and I told them of the problems with the unit, as well as Samsung not providing proper information for the tech so the service was a failure. I was told we could qualify for a buyback, which I said would be taken into consideration, and was there a time limit. I was told no time limit since the service issues were reported within the 1yr warranty period. When the parts arrived, I called Samsung to explain we were seriously considering the buyback, but were in process with the previous service issues, and should I allow the service to take place. I was told to allow the service and did so. The service was performed, both issues I reported separately were handled together on one ticket. The entire back panel housing the fan was iced up, which the tech confirmed is not normal. The ice maker continued to repeatedly dump ice without stopping, jam, freeze up and require removal, thawing and drying, even after the service.By this time we have opted for the buyback, and phoned Samsung to request it. This time I was told by executive customer service member John, that what Andy told me was not how the buyback worked. Buyback could only happen if the unit is deemed non-repairable with three repair attempts. I explained I already made three service calls, had two repairs, as well as complaints on the drawer issue, and other aspects of the design and quality that were proving very annoying. Another service call was scheduled. This time the tech arrived and was briefed on the history and issues, along with our desire to take the buyback. He ordered a new control panel, which arrived and was installed on yet another service call. The new control did not display properly and was defective. It was removed and the old one installed in its place. I immediately called Samsung to complain about their total failure, and was told they did not yet have the service information from the tech, it should be there in a day.I called a week later to inquire on status, and this time was told by exec c.s. rep, Sherry that not only were there not enough service calls and parts replaced to qualify for a buyback, she had no info from the service company on the service. When she said she had to check to see if we were within some 30 day time limit on the buyback, after having specifically asked two exec c.s. people about any time limitation, I was angry to say the least. There were more communications with Samsung on status of the buyback, process, requirements, schedule, and was given different stories and reasons every single time. I called on 11-10-14 to inquire the latest status of the most recent ticket regarding the buyback process, and the exec c.s. rep told me they had only one ticket on their records; I have at least seven ticket numbers for these issues, four of them being the 510-number range generated only at the executive level. When the tech arrived today, 11-12-14 I made it clear that the only resolution is deeming the unit unrepairable. Because one of our reported issued included cracks in the interior refrigerator walls, the tech was able to get a status of nonrepairable from Samsung. In doing so, the tech had to communicate with both his company and Samsung. The first Samsung rep he spoke to was extremely rude, and actually hung up on the tech. The tech called back, reached a supervisor, and with a few more calls finally got the nonrepairable status. Now I am waiting for Samsung to respond. Under California law, we have endured more than enough repair attempts to qualify for the Lemon Law requirement to buyback or replace the unit. Needless to say, for the combination of poor design, poor quality, and downright insulting customer service, there will never be another Samsung product in our home.Other problems with the unit included poor freezer door fit, hung crooked and uneven, gaps between the inner and outer shell where the door seal must fit, may allow warm air in. The tech showed me how the ice dispenser door does not seal properly and is not well insulated, also letting warm air into the freezer compartment.Another little surprise we got, partially because of the imperfect door hanging, is that we didnt get the freezer door shut all the way one night, and I found it in the early morning hours. Cleared out the ice maker so it wouldnt freeze solid, closed the door and left it alone. Checking in the morning, the display showed the set temp standard of -2F and 38F, so I thought all was well. But when I came in for some ice at 2pm and opened the door, the freezer was 58F with ice cream running on the floor. The unit did not reset without unplugging and replugging, a surprise because we had a power outage of several hours some time ago and the unit was fine.So if you are considering Samsung, I suggest not. As a coincidence, as the tech was here today, a friend called and I told him what was going on, beginning to describe the Samsung issues....before I could even get started, he chimed in with the same litany of problems I have experienced with his Samsung refrigerator. The independent service techs were all professional, and were sympathetic to our problems with Samsung. They did what they could to make it possible to allow us to get some resolution. Both techs who visited us multiple times have a very low opinion of Samsung and their products.
Yesterday a person called at 1030 hrs. He said he was the Samsung pick-up guy. He inquired for the address and location route to the flat, which was shared to him by my colleague. He said he would reach in 1 hours time. I rushed to my previous address (God Summit, Hennur Main Road) and reached at 1120 hrs. I waited and waited! He called me at 1200 hrs and inquired for the route to the place again, which was given to him. He said that, he would reach in 30 minutes time. I waited and waited! At 2000 hrs, he calls me for the third time and says that he is stuck in Koramangala and cannot make it! He said that, he will pick-up the fridge today at 1200 hrs! I left for my new home at 2010 hrs and reached at around 2145 hrs. Can you even begin to imagine what it was to WAIT in an ABSOLUTELY EMPTY flat, that just has a non-functional refrigerator in it, from 1120 hrs till 2010 hrs? My patience is wearing thin sir(s)/madam(s)! 01 June 2016 09:59 - Thank you for your telco the past two days. I was expecting the issue to be resolved on the 30th of May, 2016. (It is what Ajay told me), but I guess the subsequent call on the same day is acceptable to indicate to me a new deadline of 1st May, 2016. I am hoping there will be no further delays. I will wait for a call and action on-ground.30 May 2016 12:24 - I take no pride in writing this, but people just ought to know that Samsung is probably the worst brand, ever! This goes out to as many consumers, the world over, through SMS, Facebook, Linkedin, Yahoo Messenger, Google and through other personal platforms. There has seldom been a case of such gross neglect and inconsideration towards a PAYING customer. It is apparent that, Samsungs post sales completely suck and we, consumers, are left to contemplating why we even considered Samsung as a global brand with global, international and far-reaching processes. What I have experienced, after purchasing a high-end Samsung refrigerator (805 litre/French model/Rs. 1,68,000), has been excruciating and far from the standards expected out of companies and Brands that have grown owing to consumers buying into promises galore.Allow me the pleasure to elaborate, why I believe, Samsung is a terrible Brand and company. Background: I purchased, from Croma, Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore, India, the Samsung Refrigerator (805 litre/French model) approximately 5 years ago, paying Rs. 1,68,000. Before the warranty expired (1 year), the cooling system ceased to function. The Samsung engineers took close to 15 days to resolve the issue, while all the meats and perishable foods rotted and lay waste. Since then and till date, the refrigerator has FAILED 5 times. Each time, the Samsung engineers and their so called TRUSTED Partners, have been late to visit, even later to rectify but absolute when it came to CHARGING me. Each time, I would be paying for different line elements, where the FAILURE in cooling remained constant. Its like theyre shooting off from a book of 101 best reasons to charge a customer. The recent apathy: The recent case has certainly brought me to my senses and has clearly demonstrated Samsungs intent. Theyre simply out to MAKE MONEY and literally intent to CHEAT customers. 9 months ago, my refrigerator STOPPED cooling, again for the 5th time in 5 years. I called in the Samsung so-called experts, who post a great deal of debate and argument, came in to conduct repairs. I briefed them on each issue of the past, the same non-cooling problem. I was indicated that a permanent solution will be in place, for the 5th time. Work completed. The fridge seemed fine, as usual, after the 2 day long repair work, which left my home in a mess. I was CHARGED again and that is quite obvious. I personally feel that CHARGING a customer is fine provided work delivered is up to standards and promises given to us.I was told that there will no further problems, but standard policies mean that the warranty on COOLING is for 6 months only. On the 12th of March, 2016: The Samsung fridge STOPPED cooling again and this time both the freezer and the remainder of the unit. On the 15th of March, 2016: I decided to shift residence (From Gold Summit, Hennur Main Road, Bangalore to Berlie Street, Langford Town Bangalore). I therefore decided to use TWO refrigerators at my new residence. So I ended up buying a new Samsung refrigerator, which I am currently using, since the 16th of March, 2016. The previous Samsung fridge I turned off completely. As I was shifting residence, I decided to have the first Samsung fridge Permanently and Completely fixed, then tested, post which to be moved to my new residence. On the 24th of May, 2016: I called the Samsung toll free number and shared my displeasure at the break-down of the fridge and also completely briefed them regarding my plans to shift of the 28th of May, 2016. The executive assured me that Samsung will help. On the 25th of May, 2016 @ 1932 hrs: I received an sms saying that a service engineer by name of Irfan has been assigned to my case, with the service request number **. I did not receive any calls from the person nor anybody at Samsung. So on the 26th of May, 2016, I called Irfan who then said that, he cannot handle the case as it has been wrongly assigned to him. I was asked to call the toll free number again. This was at 2130 hrs.On the 27th May, 2016 @ 0945 hrs: I called the toll free number and spoke to one Ms. **. I had to repeat the entire apathy/episode to her and she too, like every previous Samsung rockstar, told me that she will help me. I briefed her regarding the fact that, I needed to shift my residence and the date that, I needed to get the work done was before the 28th of May, 2016. On the 27th May, 2016 @ 1221 hrs: I received another sms saying that, my complaint was noted and that, the engineer, one Mr. ** was assigned to my case. The service order number was **. On the 27th May, 2017 @ 2000 hrs approximately: ** visits my home at the Gold Summit, Hennur Main Road, Bangalore, inspects the fridge, understands my issue, takes a photograph of the recent bill from LR Enterprises (A Samsung Partner) and tells me that he will now instruct LR Enterprises to come in the morning, the next day, and have the fridge taken away for repairs. He said that, LR Enterprises will take the fridge, repair it, test it and then install it at my new residence. He said that, this will be done first half on the 28th of May, 2016. (The days that I was scheduled to move my residence to Berlie Street). On the 28th of May, 2016: Nobody came, called and when I called ** at 1230 hrs, he says that, he has already passed the case to his office and that he cannot help further. I then called the Samsung toll free and miraculously, the first service/complaint done on the 24th of May, 2016, did not show and only the service/complaint on the 27th of May, 2016, seems to be showing. Anyways, I briefed the Samsung call executive regarding the CHALLENGE and she assured me that someone from R Logistics (The Samsungs partner company, for whom ** works for will call me.)Imagine my plight, its 1230 hrs, and I am alone at my place because all my materials have left for my NEW place, waiting for someone from Samsung to call me. Nobody did. I called the toll free number again and had to debrief a new executive on the line regarding the entire issue. She promised to Send R Logistics a reminder. I dont know what Samsung call center was doing/did, but nobody called me. AT 1430 hrs, I called the Samsung call center again and had to brief a fresh executive on the apathy and like any of previous experiences she said that a reminder will be sent. I then spoke to **, who said that he just cannot help further because he had transferred the case. I asked him for his bosss number and he gave me 3 LAN line numbers: **. ** told me to speak to one Ms. **.On the 28th of May, 2016 from 1445 hrs: I placed 4 calls to each of the numbers provided by **, that means a total of 12 calls, and not once did anyone answer the phone. I called ** back, who said that maybe ** was in a meeting and I should be calling her after 30 minutes. I called each of the numbers 3 times, totaling 9 attempts and nobody even answered the phone. I called the Samsung toll free line and, imagine this, had to brief a FRESH person all over again, from the start. ALL this while materials that have left from this location to my new home and cannot get off-loaded as I am onsite waiting for Samsung to move the fridge. The Samsung executive on call told me that a reminder will be sent and that someone from Samsung will get to me immediately.Nobody called. At 1630 hrs, somebody at R Logistics, answered the phone (**) and this is the heights because, when I asked to speak with Ms. **, the lady tells me that she is busy and just hangs up the phone. I redialed and requested her again to put Ms. ** on, as it was an emergency. She obliged, and when Ms. ** answered and I had to debrief her again and from the start. Ms. ** assured me that she will speak with ** and call me back immediately. She did not call and when I called back the same number, after 45 minutes, nobody answered. I called ** again, who finally gave me the number of one Mr. R ** (**) and told me that he would be the person from LR Enterprises who will handle my issue. 9 times I called Mr. **. First six times, no answer. Next 2 times, phone busy. 9th time, he answers. I briefed Mr. **, who seemed to not have any idea about the issue. After listening to my plight, he says that I will need to speak to one Mr. **.He gives me ** number, which was the wrong number. 9 times after that, Mr. ** failed to answer his calls. I even sent an sms to Mr. ** requesting for ** number, but till now have received zero revert. Since then I placed 22 calls to all of the 3 numbers provided to me by ** and nobody answered the phone. At around 1815 hrs, when I called for the 23rd time, someone answered the phone. I literally begged to speak with Ms. **. Now I could hear the lady call out to ** and this is exactly what I heard over the phone I am quoting her and in English, Just put down the phone. I tried the number 6 times again, and nobody answered my calls. I called the toll free line again, briefed a new person, again, who then actually told me that its the 30th of May, 2016 and 1022 hrs: Nobody from Samsung has even bothered to call/sms. My high-end Samsung fridge (805 liter/French model), which I paid Rs. 1,68,000 at Croma, still remains in my old home. While I am getting my new home in place, I am so concerned wrt the entire treatment meted out to me. To summarize: Samsung rates, according to me, as one of the WORST Brands in the world, given the way they have treated, and continue to treat me.
Our Samsung refrigerator RFG298HDRS stopped dispensing water. At first I could remove the 4 month old filter and put it back in and the dispenser worked for 2 weeks. Every 2 weeks I would do this. Finally I replaced the filter and it would not give us any water at all. I was using Samsung filters Model DA29-00020B. Samsung tech the first time had me checking the 2 ice makers that would not work. They told me I had knock off filters from Amazon. Then I took the filter out and tried the water everything began to work. Ice makers ran and water dispensed. Called Tech support again. The guy told me that this was the first thing they should have had me try. Since that works its a bad filter. Well. I have now purchased 7 filters spent over $200 and still NOTHING works. I have noticed that Samsung has changed the filter a little too. Different label, Smaller center hole than the original for water to enter the filter however even the larger hole filters which I still had did not work.... Also the literature in the new filters boxes is not accurate. It states to put the replacement label date on the installed filter which there are NO longer any labels supplied and it also states to remove the BLUE cap... The cap is white. Even after buying the filters at Lowes they do not work. Samsung swears to me the fridge is ok since it works without the filter.... I have a tech coming out in 2 weeks the soonest they could arrive. But the techs tell me Samsung does not provide support for them in trouble shooting either. Samsung needs to change the way they do business! As much as they charge for these refrigerators, this is consumer robbery. My fridge is only 3 years old.
Rf-267 is a faulty item. I have had this refrigerator for only 2 years and already 3x I have had to repair it. First, the fridge/freezer was warm and now the sensor was not working with ice build up and loud noise. Do not buy Samsung refrigerators.
Were an older couple, no children household. The front of our refrigerator started to peel away 12 months after we purchased it. Samsung considers it cosmetic damage and not a production problem. If you want a refrigerator that is only partially black stainless (with the one side flapping off) then this is the fridge for you!
We purchased a Samsung French Door Fridge and purchased a warranty with it. Within a few months the compressor died. While I can understand that equipment may occasionally be defective, what I was more shocked about was the terrible service in honoring their warranty. We got a runaround for TWO WEEKS before a serviceman made his way to our house only to tell us that the fridge could not be repaired. It took another two weeks to get it replaced. Shame on you! I will never purchase another Samsung product, and would advise the rest of you not to.
I recently bought a Samsung dishwasher that not only does it not clean well and leaves spots on my dishes but it actually makes brand new spots resembling dark grease spots! Like some of the other complaints, mine also leaves a musty smell. My 18 year old Whirlpool was not pretty but it left my dishes spotless and dry without even adding a drying agent. Thankfully I am back at Best Buys and they are taking good care of me.
All of the negative reviews are true. This ice build up problem is real. I’ve had it fixed twice in 3 years since I bought it. Our washing machine has been shaking and making weird noises as well as the dryer. The dishwasher started leaking right before I started this review which led me to write it to warn people not to buy Samsung appliances. 3 years and nothing but headaches. I have a 20 year old Frigidaire refrigerator in my basement and it works better than my new one. Shame on you Samsung for not helping your consumers. I will never buy Samsung again.
My husband and I purchased a white Samsung French door refrigerator (RF26XAEWP) about four years ago. Recently we are noticing that the porcelain beneath the water/ice dispenser has begun to rust. When I contacted Samsung customer service, I was told that the warranty had expired and that this was cosmetic damage and we would be responsible for the repair. I was given the phone number for the Samsung Repair Service for my area and that was it. When I expressed concern that this refrigerator was rusting after such a short period of time and that possibly the porcelain coating was improperly or inadequately applied, I was told there was nothing they could do as the appliance was no longer under warranty. So now I am going to have to pay $502.90 to replace the door. Apparently it is of no concern to them that I have to pay this, given the fact that we feel the problem was inadequate porcelain coverage in the first place. After 47 years of marriage and many refrigerator purchases (various brands), we have never experienced rust on the refrigerator. That being said, we will fix this appliance as we cannot afford to purchase a new refrigerator, but we will never purchase another Samsung appliance again. This refrigerator was purchased at Lowes in Kissimmee.
I couldnt hate Samsung and their POS products any more than I do right now. Our refrigerator started acting up when it was 3.5 years old. Occasional loud grinding noises that we thought was the fan scraping against a buildup of ice. Almost a year later the noises stopped and the fridge temperature went up to where it was barely keeping the fridge cool enough to be functional. A repairman came, diagnosed and fixed the issue very quickly and cheaply, and we were quite satisfied. Until it stopped working again less than 30 days later. Now the same repairman thinks its a seal system issue, which his company doesnt address. Was told our issue would be expedited because we cant live without a refrigerator. That was a week ago. Samsung initially said a new repair company would contact us within 24 - 48 hours. I had to call back 3 times after that window to finally get a service repair number from them. IT WAS THE NUMBER OF THE SAME COMPANY THAT ALREADY CAME TO THE HOUSE AND SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX IT. Called Samsung again, and they gave me another number to call. That company ALSO said they dont address seal system issues. Called Samsung AGAIN. Now they dont know if theres anybody in our area who can address this issue. But not to worry, because theyll call me in 24 - 48 hours to let me know if theyve found somebody! Meanwhile Im supposed to give my toddler spoiled milk with his takeout dinner? Ill drop dead before I EVER buy another Samsung product.
After 7 months of having a new Samsung refrigerator in black stainless the finish began chipping. When I called Samsung they said it was not covered under warranty. Agreed, but this should not be a conversation I had to have. They are not willing to stand by their product or their customers. They told me I could pay to have it repaired. Will never buy Samsung again!!!
I am a 73 yo Veteran and have had a dishwasher all my life. This Samsung dishwasher (Model #AA3JAG9MC&05835Y) is the worst I have ever owned starting with the dumb design of the dish racks that make your glasses fall over and dished roll when the rack is pulled out or pushed in. The worst problem is that it does not clean the dishes, I have been embarrassed several times when guests poured a drink and then dumped it when they saw the glass was not clean. I wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and still have to put a lot back in the dishwasher when they come out dirty. Ran the dishwasher twice yesterday and the dishes and glasses still come out dirty. Samsung wants me to spend my money to have their reps come out to fix the problem. Not going to happen, will throw out the Samsung and buy another brand that does what it is supposed to do.Also having problems with my Samsung Grand Prime cell phone. Friends are cursing me for not answering my phone only to find out that the ringer has changed from sound to vibrate or do not disturb WITHOUT my knowledge. Samsung can correct by a simple LOCK function on settings but after numerous calls and requests Samsung did nothing to correct the problem. Solution to my problems: TRASH MY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS AND GET ANOTHER BRAND THAT WORKS.
We bought a Samsung Side-by-Side Refrigerator on 24 Jan 2008 from Best Buy with a 5-year warranty service plan. We have had problems with cooling that resulted in spoiled food several times. We had one situation wherein the fan had to be replaced because of the noise it made while the fridge was not cooling at that time as well. We had had constant problems with ice-maker not working. The motor or vent behind the ice-maker freezes up and has to be thawed about four times a year. The ice has to be removed from the unit and the ice-maker begins working about 24 to 48 hours later. We have had problems with cooling and spoiled milk resulting in another fan motor replacement in 2010. This month, the refrigerator stopped cooling resulting in untimely milk and produce spoiling. When we turned the refrigerator up to 3 notches, all produce, eggs and pickles froze and had to be thrown out. We turned the unit down to 2 notches and now we have had two packages of meat spoil that was just purchased last week with expiration date of 27 Sept 11 (meat to sausage in casing and ground sausage). We have a Best Buy serviceman coming today. Our service warranty expires in 19 Jan 2013 and we plan to buy another refrigerator (not Samsung)!
I should have done my homework before installed this almost 60 LB waste of space over our stove. Shortly a year after owning it, it began beeping in the night. What we then found was the dreaded SE code had begun -- one only needs to Google it to learn all they need. Thankfully, there are actually YouTube videos showing how other consumers had to save their microwaves from this product failure...so we did it as well, and it worked...for about two months. And then the microwave stopped working entirely. What a waste of several hundred dollars! Shameful they just didnt stand by their products and recall and correct the issue.DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE!!
A beautiful piece of junk! Pot scrubbing function is terrible, likewise dishwashing function is just as good as the low end GE, meaning awful, dishes actually, always came out worse than when we put them in. Only good thing I will say about Samsung is they told us to cut the cord, send them the picture of it with cord cut, and within 30 days they sent us a check.
I am really enjoying my stove/oven. It is very sleek and nice looking. It is easy to use and to keep clean. The oven bakes very evenly. The only thing that is a little harder to clean are the grates.
I like the way the refrigerator looks, but the icemaker has been a constant headache. It ices up every couple of weeks. My repairman gave me a quote of $700 to replace it. I have to remove the box, get a hairdryer out to melt the accumulated ice dam. My neighbor has the same refrigerator and has the same problem. Ice makers have been around for a long time. I cant figure out why this is such a problem.
We bought the Samsung model #NE59J7650WS from Lowes in spring of 2015. Brand new model they said. Energy saver they said. This is how they save energy. They do not heat up the oven like the digital display says it is. Say we set the oven for 400 degrees. It starts heating up and the digital display on the stove climbs higher, displaying the alleged temperature. It reaches 400 degrees and sings a little song announcing its arrival. However, it is only at 300 degrees according to our thermometer. Food does not cook properly. Display says it is at 400 degrees, but it is only at 300 degrees. If you wait another 20 minutes, it gets up to 400 degrees. Had two different repair companies look at it and they both told me Thats how it works Ridiculous!!
I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator 2.5 years ago. I didnt have terrible problems with it until now. However, the freezer & ice making were never totally acceptable. Now, the fan is making a very loud noise every time the fan comes on. The repairmen Ive spoken to universally say that Im lucky that the refrigerator has lasted this long. One said, he wouldnt take a free Samsung if it were offered to him. In order for him to repair the fan, I have to empty and turn off my unit for at least 36 hours otherwise he would be unable to remove the shroud around the fan. He knew exactly what was wrong with my unit as soon as I told him about the whirring fan. Needless to say, I am telling everyone I know NOT to buy a Samsung refrigerator, or any other type of appliance.
I purchased Samsung 237 French door ref. The shelves are not spaced properly to accept milk or juice containers - the items must be tipped and forced into the shelf space. The shelves are made of an extremely brittle plastic and are subject to cracking. I have had to replace two-hinged shelves due to shattered plastic hinges even though they were never moved from the horizontal position. The crisper drawer is full width and can only be operated when both refrigerator doors are in full open position. I contacted manufacturer within warranty period and one-hinged shelf was replaced with the caveat that this was a one-time honor of the warranty and it would not be repeated. Now another shelf has multiple breaks in the plastic due to its brittleness, and we have a poor quality appliance that is out of warranty. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator unless you have a very high tolerance for aggravation.
Two years ago I purchased a Samsung refrigerator (model #RS267TDRS). About a year after we bought it, we started to have problems with it NOT COOLING. Well needless to say, today it officially BROKE and all of our food has SPOILED. I immediately contacted Samsung and I spoke with Tiffany ** (operator #**) and Shonda ** (operator #**) of their customer service department. She told me that there is nothing that she can do to replace the refrigerator because it is out of warranty. After pleading with her that I have three small children under the age of five who need to have access to milk, juice and medication that requires refrigeration, she told me that she would schedule a service call (ticket #**). The problem is that I live in a rural part of Virginia. They wont be able to come to look at the refrigerator for a few weeks, let alone fix it on the spot or that it would be covered since it probably would be something that is not under their warranties. I need help! I cannot wait this long to get it looked at! I have already lost $500 worth of groceries and if I replace it with new food, we dont have a way to store that food. Please if someone at Samsung is reading this, take action to HELP ME. I am writing this post in hopes that someone at Samsung will see this and be able to get me a real resolution to this problem because I dont know what to do (maybe exchange for another used model or even a new one?). I currently work for the Marine Corps and we cant afford to buy another $1,500 refrigerator, especially since this one was purchased brand new 24 months ago from Lowes. I dont like dropping the we are a military family moniker, but the fact is I am a veteran who needs help. Again Samsung, please help! I am desperate since as a veteran, we dont make the type of money that most other families do. Not that any American family makes enough money to keep replacing refrigerators every two years. To be fair, I will update everyone if there is an amicable resolution to this issue.
How to fix Samsung microwave SE Code - We had the exact same problem ... SE code out of the blue, keypad wouldnt work at all. I have the solution and all you need is a Phillips head screwdriver, no skill required for the rest. I searched internet, found a YouTube video on how to take the panel apart. Unplug your microwave, follow directions to take panel off - a 5 minute job. Unplug and replug blue and white connectors...easy. Take some rubbing alcohol and wipe off that green ribbon (I read this a lot on other sites). While you have everything apart, wipe down the inside, there was some gook behind the panel so I figured, what the heck. I put it back together, plug it in. We havent had any problems since. Save your money, this is a very easy fix. I feel like the quality of every thing these days is cheap, made overseas **, so having this happen in under 24 months did not surprise me. Im just glad I didnt get ripped off further by Samsung telling me a professional repairman was needed. It was a 20 minute fix from start to finish, maybe less.
Bought this refrigerator (RFG237) a year and a half ago. Had to replace an electronic component within the first 6 months, it was not cooling the frig part, but it was covered under warranty, no cost. Now the back of the frig is frozen, the interior shell is cracked and melted. I have to have the cover replace, the crack filled with something, and a thermostat replaced. Of course its out of warranty and will cost me $250 to fix. This has the making of a real lemon. I called Samsung and they gave me a run around. I will never buy another product of any kind from this company and I will tell all my friends of my experience.
I bought my RSG257AARS side by side refrigerator 4 years ago. Everything was great with it until the compressor stopped working properly and all the coolant leaked. When I called an appliance repair shop they told me that Samsung only lets people who are trained by Samsung repair their fridges. She was very nice and told me where to go to find someone in our service area. Here in the DC/VA/MD area I could initially only find 3 people who would work on my fridge and it took me a week and a half to get an appointment. I lost EVERYTHING in my fridge and freezer. Then, they charged by $300.00 for a visit! Now, less than 90 days later (and the part was only good for 60-day warranty) I am having the SAME problem and now have to call a separate appliance repair place to come fix it, AGAIN! I will NEVER EVER buy another Samsung appliance in my life. The Samsung Customer Service department gives me the runaround. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG Appliance. Even if its the cheapest price and you THINK you are getting a good deal. Go with any other brand and save yourself the headaches.
So our Samsung refrigerator that we bought for about $3500 stopped working entirely three weeks after the five year warranty expired. We called them up and told them they should fix it since its like a car thats completely worthless a couple of weeks after the warranty expires. Nobody would ever buy such a car. So they sold us an extended warranty for $345. After sending four different firms out over a month, they concluded that its not worth fixing. So now they decided to refund our $345. To which I said theyre just running a scam. If Samsung sells us the warranty but has no intention to honor it anytime the repair is expensive, what theyre saying it will only sell you warranty if the warranty repairs are less than what you paid us. Otherwise well just borrow your money for free until we give it back. Sounds like its a total fraud. Please contact me if you have purchased a warranty from Samsung and are interested in participating in a class action lawsuit.
We have had a recurring problem with water that turns to ice in our crisper drawers. In the past month we have had 5 technicians come out all say the same thing, the drain line gets clogged and frozen causing water to overflow into and below the crisper drawers. The fix according to Samsung was replacing the back panel of the fridge, the evaporator panel I believe. We replaced that, in less than two weeks, we had water back in the drawers. Luckily we bought the extended warranty through Lowes but had spoken to a representative at the store that suggest we call Samsung directly. I tried that tonight, after two hours on the phone, I was asked what I expected them to do. Our unit was out of warranty (its three years old), and according to them this is not a known problem whatsoever. In fact, they even told me that there was NO record of this being reported to them at all. Even after explaining to them that I had found multiple reports of the same issue, and even on their own website have found consumers asking why they are having this exact problem was still told there was nothing they could do but CHARGE me for a service call to come and take a look at the unit. After this experience, I will no longer be purchasing any Samsung Appliances and will strongly influence any family and friends from doing so as well. Their customer service is not up to par and it’s apparent that they don’t really stand behind their product or the consumer that purchases their product! The Model Number that I have purchased is RF217ACRS which is now listed as a support product on the Samsung website which I am assuming means they are no longer selling this particular product! Buyer Beware when purchasing a Samsung Refrigerator!!!
I purchased a 4 door Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago 01-21-17. The icemaker is defective, per the technician that indicates this is a known issue and not a recall, but basically the water spatters as it fills the ice maker, causing frost to build up, and eventually freezing the fan. This leads to melting of the ice and re-freezing and more frost and eventually locks up the entire ice maker. In some cases the ice builds up so quickly that you cant get the ice drawer out. This is not a gasket or seal issue. The issue is caused by a poorly designed water filling process that eventually fails, so if you want to piss away $2800 buy this RF23J9011SR piece of junk.
I purchased a new Samsung double door range. Within a month I noticed that part of the time when the oven was preheated the top door wouldnt open. However if you open both doors it will open. I was told by customer service that this was a safety option to keep a blast of hot air from coming out at you. I should have insisted that it be checked by a tech. If it were for my safety I think it would be consistent. They will tell you anything to get you off the phone. I bought it from Sears. I wish Id bought it from Lowes. Then I could have just taken it back like I did the Samsung microwave that lasted about a month. Never! Ever! buy Samsung anything again!
Apparently I am not the only one that has had this problem. Im entirely appalled at the prospect of my 4-year old, my 7-year old, and I drinking ice water that has plastic and metal particles and pieces in it. At this point, I am not even sure how long we have been drinking contaminated product. My refrigerator is right around 3.5 years old, so it is not under parts warranty any longer, but I am confused as to why there hasnt been a recall on these icemakers? Another consumers review fits my situation exactly besides the timeline of events. I would also like to know the composition of the materials that were being sloughed off into our drinks. I just found this problem today and Samsung Customer Service is trying to make me buy new parts and pay for installation. My main concern is for my health and the health of other consumers, and in my opinion, there needs to be a recall for these ice makers and some sort of compensation due. Not just a, Well, your warranty is up, so here pay more money for some parts that probably wont fix the issue. No thank you. I have included my own photos of the plastic shaving and plastic/metal particles.
The ice maker wont shut off even when the dispenser pad is not engaged. It keeps cranking out ice which fills the dispenser and then backs up all over the fridge. When you open the freezer door, ice then spills out all over the floor, etc. What a mess. Has anyone else experienced this? Model #RS261MDRS, purchased from Lowes on 8/3/2011. I will never buy another Samsung!
Purchased a new Samsung dishwasher. After a short time, I noticed a horrible odor and our dishes never seem to be clean. We always rinse our dishes well and use a rinse aid. Called Sears for service, which I had to pay for. The technician cleaned between the door and said I need to keep it clean. No matter what I do, I cannot get the smell out of the dishwasher. I agree with the others who have posted--there needs to be a class action lawsuit against Samsung. How do we go about doing this?
I bought a side by side fridge. Had it 7 mos and the freezer worked but the fridge didnt. It was not cooling at all. I called Samsung. It took them 5 days to come out. When repair guy came out I asked him why does Samsung have so many bad reviews? He said the side by side are notorious of having problems. Bought a Samsung Washer. Nothing but problems with it. The service tech has been out 4 times and still have not fix the problem. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SAMSUNG PRODUCTS AT ALL. Do your homework. By the way the fridge was 1,900.00. Not cheap.
Bought from Lowes on August 2, 2013 (4 months ago). Problems with ice maker from the date of delivery. The entire ice maker assembly has been replaced twice. The freezer door deal once. Within days after replacement/repairs same problem occurs. Either no ice produced or very little over a long period of time. Calling Samsung for repairs is an ordeal. Numerous calls. After taking all the information, they say they will call or email within 3-5 days. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they do not. For example, I called on Tuesday, December 10, 20123. Was given Transaction # and was told my case will be considered for replacement or reimbursement. Again, was told I would either get a call or email within 3-5 days. I waited seven (7) days. Called Samsung. Was told that there was no record of the Transaction # given to me. New one given. Again, I was told that I would get a call or email within 3-5 days. Same thing time and time again. On those occasions when they do call me, I am told that a repair technician will be contacting me to set up an appointment in my home. That takes an additional week or two. By far, this is the worst consumer experience I have ever had in my entire life. Real bad. Getting tired of the lost record excuses, claim that they need more time to review when they have the whole history right before them. I never will buy another Samsung product.
For everyone who like me are Stupid enough to purchase a Samsung refrigerator, I have a hint to fix the ice maker. Go to local convenience store & buy ice to load in it. This piece of crap was engineered wrong. After numerous calls & at least 3 service calls it has been out least a month now. I will NEVER buy anything with Samsung.
After about 3 months of buying a Samsung side by side refrigerator from a Samsung representative in Iran, it started to make noisy sound. We called them (Samsung representative) and one of them came here to check and he told us that its engine sound, and the noise will stop if you clean the backward of refrigerator. But the problem didn’t solve. After sometime one of them called me and I told them the problem, but they answered me that it is a common side by side Samsung refrigerator problem and they easily shirked their responsibility! We didn’t pay attention to sound. It’s two months and the noise gets louder and it disturbs our sleeping in the middle of night and driving us crazy! At last today its noisy voice increased so that we plugged it off!
The best part of Home Depot is we bought the extended warranty... I recommend buying it if you’re considering Samsung appliances! Within 4 years I’m on my second in 6 months repair on my fridge. My induction stove is the most ridiculous design and shuts off constantly because of the sensors! My dishwasher broke down. My microwave fan is a joke. We will never ever buy Samsung again...
Purchased this dishwasher in 2012 with an extended 3 year warranty which included a no lemon guarantee. If I required 3 repairs during this period the machine would be replaced. I required 3 repairs but naturally excuses were made as to why it wasnt covered under the warranty. I now have another leakage error, as usual, which is not covered. I get approximately 2 months after each repair before it breaks down again. Also the stainless steel face rusted after less than 6 months which is not covered as it is cosmetic. My 3 year old dishwasher is dysfunctional and looks 20 years old. NEVER, EVER buy a Samsung product!!!
Samsung RF217ACPN leaking issue - Purchased the French door refrigerator in August 2010. It started to leak water inside and bottom of the drawers after about 18 months. We just put a sponge down those areas, and clean the water when it very wet. Then we took all food out and leave all doors opened for a couple days in the summer. Less than 2 weeks, the water drop again and even worse. We then repeat the above procedure and left it dry for 3 days this time in the summer. Nothing was changed. We decided to open the cover locate above the drawers. Then we find out that it seems has been opened and repaired before we purchased it! There is big hole at side of bottom of the foam that have tape to cover it. The metal panel has separated with the foam that used duct tape to connect them. The soft stick tape was broken and covered only 3/4 of the bottom...
We bought a three piece kitchen set a year ago. First of all, all three items have issues. This dishwasher is the worst. Error message after error message. Constantly. Now it doesn’t work at all. The water wall is off track. No repairman in our area will touch it. They say parts are ridiculously hard to find and expensive. Our oven is sitting in the dining room, broken as well, unable to use. If I could leave zero stars I would.
We are senior couple. My husband is disabled. Have had our $2500.00 refrigerator about 8 yrs. Freezer and ice maker stopped working. After several calls they finally gave me a repairman number 75 miles away. After reading reviews and checking with several people locally, we found numerous people had the same problem... which the majority still did not have problem solved, because repairman did not know what it was. Several were left torn apart for weeks. We just wanted to talk with someone, to get their opinion if it could be repaired or we would we have to purchase another one... No one will talk with us... Your customer service is no help. AFTER YOU SELL YOU ARE FINISHED WITH THE CUSTOMER. NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR. I called, email, no response from anyone.
I purchased a Samsung rf267aers refrigerator 12/01/09. The issue with this unit is the following. We the owners of this unit all (have) the same problem. Lousy design of defrost system allows the defrosted water to freeze in the discharge tube so it overflows into the lower platform under the pull out shelf. When it freezes, it freezes the roller wheel on the bottom of the shelf in the layer of ice and it wont move until you defrost the fridge to the point it releases. There are YouTube videos of how to defrost the coils but Samsung has known about this forever and wont fix it.So every month I remove the bottom tray and remove the built up ice slab. Now I have called samsung several times. Samsungs directions defrost the refrigerator. But even that process DO NOT solve the problem. ONCE unit was turned on again the SAME problem returned. I once inquired to samsung tech people how much it would cost me to fix the problem $700-$800 with NO GUARANTEE. BUT THEY WOULD put the old parts back. Of course I would have to pay for the labor for the install and removal that was about $165-320. Samsung bad NEWS.
We bought this 3 1/2 yrs ago. After the first year we had to replace the flap on the door. $350. Last month we had to replace the circuit panel, $350. Now we need to replace the ice maker. $120 plus service call. Very disappointing. This refrigerator cost over $2200, you would think they could make a good product.
My Samsung 24-inch dishwasher model DMT300RFS is less than three years old. We have had problems with the dishes coming out of the dishwasher with ground-up food on them since day one. Recently we have been getting an error code for clogged drain also. I pulled the dishwasher into the middle of the kitchen floor, checked all plumbing and drain hose and found them clear. I ran the machine and found it was only discharging a small amount of water during the drain cycle. I removed the filter in the tub - clear. I removed the drain pump - clear. I checked the rubber check-valve upstream of the pump and found it cocked and stuck sideways. I freed it with my finger (it is in the molded plastic comprising the bottom of the tub). I reassembled the unit and operated it and it pumped like a banshee during the drain cycle. After running the machine a couple of times it started pumping only a trickle again. The check valve had become cocked and stuck again. What is happening is the check valve sticks open and when it hits the drain cycle, the drain pump pumps dirty water back into the dishwasher and only a trickle gets pumped to the sink drain. Dirty water stays in the tub and debris gets deposited back on the dishes during the rinse cycle. Because it takes so long to drain the tub, the machine thinks the drain is plugged and shuts down with a clogged drain issue. The part with the check valve in it is very expensive and (for me) would require a service technician to replace it, adding to the cost. To me, I will be better off replacing the unit. There are review after review on the internet complaining of these same problems (dirty dishes and error codes). It is my opinion that this problem is a design error as it is not possible to provide maintenance to the check valve. It is deep in the large plastic piece comprising the bottom of the tub.I hope this post helps others understand what is wrong with their machine.
A few years ago we had a Samsung microwave. We had to have it repaired when it was less than two years old. Repair cost about $200. Within a couple of months, the repair failed. Sorry, we guarantee our repairs for only 30 days. Thanks, Samsung. In December 2013, i.e., about 15 months ago we bought the RF323TEDBSR/AA 30 cu ft refrigerator because it had the size and features we wanted. It stopped working a week ago. Luckily, we have a 25-year old GE in the garage, still going strong. Repairman from Samsung came today. Oh, you have to order a $200 part. When you get the part, well come back and install it. Another $200 or more. Service stinks. Quality stinks.
The Samsung refrigerator stopped cooling and the unit is barely five years old. After reading the reviews on this site and after being told that the replacement part was going to be $300-$500 (and may not fix the problem), I will be buying a new unit! Luckily, mine came with the house I bought and not out of my own pocket.
My oven (NE595ROABSR) quit heating and it took over an hour to come up to temp. Read all the reviews here and decided to check the broiler which I dont use much, that does not work either. I am waiting on repair man but after reading all the reviews I assume mine will go in JUNK Pile after diagnosis due to all that will have to be replaced. I dont believe in investing more money if it is expensive to repair. I do use the self clean oven and that may have burnt out the modules/sensors. I will NOT Buy another Samsung stove. I also called SAMSUNG and they will not take accountability.
We have had a Samsung refrigerator with French doors and all the bells and whistles for 4 years. During that time we have had 3 major issues, first with a lead into the bottom of the refrigerator and now the ice compartment freezes up and has to be unfrozen with a hair dryers, AND, worse, the fan motor freezes up and the refrigerator makes a horrible unbearably sound until I thaw out the ice in the back of the refrigerator again with a hair dryer. Only then does it decide whether or not the refrigerator part will keep cooling--usually it takes a few hours. We have had it with Samsung. Each time we called Samsung and it took a week for them even to call back, and then to tell us they didnt have a service person in our area. We are getting rid of this refrigerator. We had it for four years at our second home, so that we only used it 6 months each year. We did not get the extended warranty because we were warned by locals that we would have to wait weeks for service by Samsung even with a warranty. Looks like they were right. If you look online, youll see many consumers have had the same problems.
Our 1900$ Samsung 26 cu ft refrigerator was delivered 9/10/2011. It quit working 8/30/2016. We never had problems with the ice maker, although it was slow even for two adults needs of ice. I decided no use to fix it, just go get another refrigerator. If you read reviews on any brand about four hundred people always say what they bought was the worst experience possible. Even the sales guy said refrigerators rarely last more than eight years nowadays. So my advice is spend what you are willing to replace in five years. Thats how long my Samsung lasted.
March of 2015, we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator from Nebraska Furniture Mart. A month after purchase, the ice maker stop producing ice. Called NFM and was given Samsungs number. Technician came out at least 4 times, only supplying temporary relief. Technician said, this is a manufacture problem. He said, Theres a sleeve in the back of the refrigerator that allows air to come in and with sub-below temperatures over freezes the ice maker, not allowing the ice make to function properly. After calling Samsung, they continue with the troubleshooting techniques. If you are experiencing this problem, dont allow the operators to troubleshoot your issue. Demand for a service tech. Tech from NFM set the temperature control way too cold. Fresh produce, butter, cheeses in the midsection of the refrigerator was freezing. Found out the correct temperature should be set on 0 and 37. To set you must hold the numbers one at a time for at least three to five seconds. Heading back to NFM to complain. If purchasing this refrigerator, spend the extra money and buy the warranty. A home warranty plan may also help defer the cost. NOT HAPPY WITH SAMSUNG RIGHT NOW!
Do not buy Samsung products!!! They do not stand behind them. My ice maker has not been working since day one. It freezes over, no ice and its impossible to open it up!! I called and they said, Sorry its not covered under your warranty!!! They are aware of the defect...But dont care!!!
The ice maker stopped working within a few days after owning the refrigerator. It freezes up requiring the ice maker to be removed and thawed out. This has to be a common problem with this refrigerator as it works for a few days then the problem repeats. I would not recommend buying any item from Samsung as I think they are just interested in ripping people off and not standing by their products. They got caught with the cell phones but appliances are harder to claim damages even if the damages are clear design problems.
I made a terrible mistake and bought a Samsung refrigerator from Costco. Error beeping right off the bat for an open door that wasnt open. Adjusted the doors and checked that the reed sensors were aligned, but same message. Called Samsung technical support who had no answers, but they would dispatch a technician late the following week. Meanwhile about $500 in food spoiled on our counter and their customer care team did zero to help. Please save yourself the anguish of having a day thats supposed to be exciting after dropping 2k on an appliance turn into a nightmare. These people can barely do cell phones right, why did I think they could manufacture a fridge properly.
I was cooking with my pot on the stove when I heard a pop. I removed my pot and saw a crack glass and indentation mark on my pot. The stove range I used on was the RAPID BOIL side from picture, which need to handle the temperature flux it experience. The crack surface has shattered glass and fine glass dust. I seen crack, shattered glass pictures due to physical damages on Consumer Affairs and other websites for Samsung stove and mine look nothing like that. It is clearly a material properties failure and an engineering mistake.I reported my problems to Samsung and told them Im scared to use the stove as it is unsafe to operate and its also what they suggested until they receive the images and send out technician, which they said will take 2-3 days to review. I sent the pics and wait, hear nothing from them for a week so I call them back. A new agent review my transaction id # and told me that the previous agent close accident close my case. So he issue me a new transaction id and said he will escalate with the supervisor to get it resolve ASAP, and I resent the pictures again. My family been eating out and frozen foods during this ordeal.I call back the next day and nothing happen, so I have to retell my whole problem again to the 3rd agent which went ahead issue me a ticket number with the local technician to take a look at the problem. To bring out this technician, I will have to pay out of my own pocket if it is a cosmetic problem. So today I was going to call the local technician guy to schedule an appointment but Samsung finally call back and said they deny the warranty issue without reviewing the pics. They said they havent receive the pictures, which I sent TWICE. Now, Im trying to schedule with a technician and see where it goes from there. I will follow up with updates.UPDATE ON 03/31/2017: After millions of phone call and countless agents. Scamsung tactics of denying picture not receiving, We have to hang up on you because we cannot leave you the phone for too long, A supervisor will call you back. So the first technician never came out because all he does is just take pictures. He requested I sent the pictures to him via text message, so I sent him 4 pictures. I called in Samsung to check my status, they deny the warranty on Mar 20 on the basis No load/min load using an aluminum cookware with enamel coating. They saying the pot I was cooking in was empty, I was the cooker and there were stuff inside the pot, who cook an empty pot. Aluminum cookware, isnt all Americans use aluminum cookware, but I found out that they use whatever words I misstated in the phone conversation against me. I realized the pot I was cooking on was not aluminum, but actually steel, I tested it with a magnet. So I called back in and was able to reach a manager on the shop floor. And explain the whole process again to her that this was a material defect, I was using RAPID BOIL setting on left side of the stove. The crack was due to the high heat fluctuation and the glass couldnt handle the temperature due to the expansion of material. Further into the conversation, she agree to issue a service repair for the stove due to spontaneous pop while cooking. She scheduled Monday to have a third-party vendor to come out and repair, but all he did was come out and take picture, the same as the first time. Or so I thought he would come out and repair on Monday, Mar 27. But all he did was take a picture on his cracked phone in a dark kitchen room. I thought they issue the repair service for labor and part, called in. And of course it would be different agents every time and from different region. They would say, Lets wait for the pictures and basically they take me a whole loop again, back to square one. I was able to reach an ECR Leena Mar 28 (executive customer relation, someone actually had the power to help) and she told me only 2 of my pictures were uploaded and that from that pictures it was a discoloration damage. I was confused that she cant even see the crack bits and pieces. So she asked me to send in the picture directly to her to review. Pictures were sent to her, and she is downloading it to her computer. She told me the downloading it is take too long, she has to hang up on me and another agent will contact me. Never happen, its always you to have to call in. And again, you have to explain everything but this new ECR agent Karla Mar 29 didnt bother to listen and just outright say my warranty was deny using the denial from Mar 20 instead of reviewing the conversation I have on Mar 28. I asked her, Let me talk to someone that will listen and want to help me out. Remember that the services was offer from the Shop Floor Manager, but they kept saying, Its not on record, I cant find it, I dont know who you were talking to. So Karla told me that a supervisor will call me back in 24-48 hours, no one call me yet. I dont expect to and tired of dealing with them. At first I want a repair, now I rather replace it with a different brand. After exploding Note 7, exploding washer and dryer, exploding oven cover, Im glad my glass top was crack instead explode, but it could happen to someone else. Scamsung afraid of another massive recall on using low quality glass top material so they deny my warranty. This product is unsafe and should take off from store shelve. Im willing to join class action lawsuit against Scamsung, contact me. While all this happen, just found out my Scamsung refrigerator that I bought at the same time, the water and ice dispenser stop working, need to replace the control panel/switch. Save yourself from trouble and dont buy another Scamsung products. My range model was NE59J7630S.
NOV 14TH 2019 OUR SON WENT TO PREHEAT OUR Samsung oven and heard a crack and pop sound. All the sudden there was smoke. He ran to get his dad, my husband came running downstairs full on flames out of the back control panel. My husband had to put it out with a fire extinguisher and almost called the fire department. We bought a 5 yr extended warranty thru Best Buy and currently without a stove till they come take a look. So we have no way to cook food for our family. Were already $200 plus out of pocket expenses. Trying to remove the smell of fire from our home and had to buy a 2 burner plug in burner so we can cook something. Fire extinguisher dust everywhere. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG MAJOR APPLIANCES.
I purchase this Samsung refrigerator three years ago. It’s been very noisy from day and recently it started leaking water and iced up even though its a frost free fridge. It not cooling food properly and it stop working altogether six days ago. I now have to purchase a new refrigerator. I will never been buying any Samsung appliances again. I feel totally ripped off.
I am very surprised that Samsung has not had to recall their microwave ovens. All of a sudden the panel shows a code SE or E5 error code. The micro does just not go dead. It starts doing strange things..... constant beeping.... coming on by itself..... blinking lights. These are not old micros. Mine is not even three years old. I called Samsung. They were less than helpful and suggested we call a service center. They ignore the problem and will not even admit that there is a problem. I am done with Samsung Microwaves. Never had a problem with GE!
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago at Lowes for $2000.00 and it was a french door fridge. It stopped getting cold so I got on Samsung website and found a repairman at The Appliance Doctor. They sent a man out and he looked at the fridge and said it is not worth fixing. It needs a computer and two other parts. He continued to say Samsung are junk and it will break again. I then called another well known appliance repair center and they also told me that they do not work on Samsung products. They stated they cant get parts for them. So then I contacted Samsung and that was like talking to my dog. Very unhelpful. I went out and replaced this a Whirlpool.
To begin with, it is a great microwave for the great price offered. It is small and does not take a lot of space on your counter as a lot of them are big which limits rooms for other things you might want to do with your counter space. It has a turn knob which is easy to function and does its thing until the time is up for it to stop. I got back issues and it is just right for someone like me and easy to do in one shot. I like the product I got and I hope to have helped out in this review for the rest of you.
Going on a month without a working ice maker. TWO service calls because it had ice build up (4 times total but 2 that we handled) and they admitted that this model had faulty units. They said they would give us $ to purchase a new fridge but it would end up costing us about $800 out of pocket because we bundled the whole kitchen and got an amazing deal/interest. Now, I have bagged ice taking up freezer space and they arent returning calls. I tried to write a review on Amazon but I guess they are having too many complaints and it wouldnt post. I will NEVER get Samsung again, but our entire kitchen is Samsung and less than a year old. Were stuck :/
Bought all new appliances Samsung post flood 2011, installed 11/11. Dishwasher brackets break off after 2 years and ruined the pump. And gas slide in convection oven ignitor switch was replaced twice in 7 month period of time. Paid lots of money for these appliances and their junk and I had to replace them. Poor products and Ill advise anyone who will listen not to buy them. I bought an extended warranty from Best Buy for 2 years and mine was finished when this happened. Many consumers do not have money to go out and replace these high end appliances after 4 or 5 years of use.
We bought this refrigerator about 4 years ago. It worked well the first year and the 2nd year onwards we started having problems. Water started leaking from bottom and water gets collected on the drawer base and the vegetable drawer also. The drain plug design is so bad that the its bound to get clogged. The drawer designs are complex and poor that food particles get lodged into the crevices between the various plastic parts and it is very hard to clean and if you try to remove them the plastic parts start to crack. Did not expect this from Samsung products. Poorly designed for cleaning and defrost system is pathetic. Even my grandmother fridge did not have this water leaking problem.
We are having the repairman in on Monday because for the second time in 2 year our Samsung fridge is freezing lettuce and cheese. Yogurt is turning moldy even though there is still 3 weeks left till expiry. When the fridge works it’s great. When this happens it makes me nervous. We do not have an ice maker and I often wonder if it thinks there is one because it makes this strange clunky noises. Last time this happened we had to unplug the fridge so it could thaw out so they could change a part. I sure hope we don’t have to do this again. We only have 1 fridge so it does cause a bit of an inconvenience. My main problem is that we are losing food. This should not happen.
Samsung Microwave SMH8165ST - 1 mo ago a potato caught fire on the baked potato setting. Samsung stated I was out of warranty because microwave was purchased 2 yrs ago. I refused an out of pocket service call. Samsung called back 1 wk later asked about any personal or property damage & asked if I would want someone to come out free of charge to repair or replace (if irreparable). After 3 repair visits (not counting the 4 appts that were cancelled/rescheduled after the 2 hr wait EACH TIME). Samsung stated the repair guy had to come out again to troubleshoot w/ a Samsung engineer on the phone. I explained that the repair guy did that @ the last appt, Samsung stated there was no record of it. I also stated that I was aware of the recall involving buttons on the panel sticking. They said I had to make another appt. I refused, spoke to another 2 managers & after 55 min on the phone was offered $130 voucher/check. I was told that was what they could offer w depreciation on the microwave for the last 2 yrs. AND that the microwave costs about $190, so it wasnt so bad. The microwave costs $240 plus. I am glad I do not have to deal w/ them & their incompetent repair outsourcing. I am also glad my children werent the ones using the microwave when the fire occurred. I WILL NEVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN. Just disgusted.
We bought our Samsung French door Refrigerator/freezer 3 years ago. After the warranty expired we noticed the ice maker stopped working. Pulled the bucket out to find large ice over on the ice maker itself. Since then, every 2 weeks we have to manually defrost our ice maker. About a month ago it started leaking water out of the water/ice dispenser. Now we have to wipe the floor and collection tray numerous times a day. This also includes inside under the crisper bins where water collects. I have contacted Samsung on more than 1 occasion. 0/10, would not recommend to anyone for either product or customer service.
Well from all the other reviews, I guess theres no need in calling Samsung customer service. I have the same problem. Came home and fridge was warm inside. It was purchased in Sept. 2013. Guess Im just gonna purchase something else. Instead of, giving my money to repair men for no good reason. Just to have the same problem down the road. I purchased fridge, microwave, and a dishwasher. Hope the other two work for a while longer!!! LOL. Anyway if you read this before purchase, DONT BUY SAMSUNG!! Good luck to you!
I purchased a French door with freezer on bottom; within a few months, the right side handle came off. I called Samsung and was told they would send me a new handle; never received a handle. Now, in the last few days, the left side handle’s paint is peeling, like it’s been repainted. I will never buy anything Samsung again, especially after seeing all the bad reviews.
We have a fancy expensive lemon!! Buyer beware. DO NOT BUY!! The bottom freezer doesnt work and continues to leak despite numerous repairs done by Samsung. The side of refrigerator is bulging causing it to get stuck in between my kitchen cabinets. I called the fire department because I was scared of the leak and how hot the back of the refrigerator got. Sears repair has been to my home more than 4 times with no answers. They just replace parts and it still does not work. My next stop is the media if I dont get answer from Samsung.
My dishwasher would not use the dishwasher packets I was using to wash the dishes. The soap dish flap would open, but the packet would not be used. I call Samsung and their support is the WORST! I got a guy that spoke poor English and probably never saw a dishwasher before. I told him the problem and he told me to clean the dispenser and turn off the circuit breaker. It was a TOTAL waste of time. He asked for the serial number and I gave it to him 3, (YES THREE TIMES), then he told me he was not paying attention when I gave him the number. Then he wanted to know the service provider of my cell phone. What has that got to do with the dishwasher, but he said he needed it. At that point, I knew that Samsung support people were brain dead and I just hung up. I already spend too MUCH time trying to explain the problem and another 4 hours with their support would not have made a difference. I do plan to get rid of my Samsung dishwasher and go back to my Whirlpool. I had a Whirlpool for over 10 years and NEVER had a problem with it. I replaced it because we decided to redo our Kitchen with Stainless appliances and we went with a few Samsung appliances. Now I will never buy Samsung appliances again. My recommendation is if you buy Samsung and need any support you are hosed! You will spend a lot of time on the phone with a moron that does not even know his products and wont know nor care what your problem is. He will read from a list of trouble shooting guides, which may be totally irrelevant to your specific problem. (i.e. your car wont start and the guy tells you to change the tire). One more thing, I asked the support guy for an order number and he told me he got an error code on his computer and could not give it to me. STAY, make that RUN, AWAY from this company!
We bought the Samsung over-the-counter microwave brand new in 2010. It worked very well and looked great. But it hasnt even lasted FIVE YEARS. 6 months ago the door latch broke; we repaired it ourselves with $75+ in parts. A month ago this started happening: when we open the microwave door, the unit turns ON and runs; only way to not cook my hand is to unplug it. Its headed to the recycle bin. There is no excuse for a product this expensive (retail $349 at Lowes) to last less than 5 years. No warranty that long is available. Will not *ever* look at Samsung brand for kitchen appliances again.
FTQ353IWUX - There is a major defect in these appliances due to a combination of factors. First: all the wiring near the oven upper element is exposed to extreme heat that has damaged all the wiring plastic insulation by drying it, severely causing cracks that have exposed the bare wires. This may be contributing to the frequent cases of fire since arcs may be happening. Also, at the main board, the plug that controls the broiler temp. settings is prone to sticking and overheating, causing it to catch fire. Amazing some appliance like this has not been recalled by the government. Everyone should unplug these units and remove the back cover to visually inspect the wiring insulation near the fans. All these wires are going to show damage, cracks and longitudinal fissures exposing the wires.
Do not buy Samsung appliances. Ours is 3 years old. The ice maker fell apart. Within the last month, we have started to experience water collecting in the veg drawers. It freezes anything in the drawers. Were constantly breaking out the ice. Not able to find the source of the water, but we suspect defrost runoff. $1800 fridge gone bad in 3 years. WASTE OF MONEY. DO NOT BUY.
Absolutely the worst 700 dollars Ive ever spent. This thing is loud, half the time it doesnt work and to top it off when it does work (I use work lightly) it takes almost 3 hours. All of my dishes have to be washed by hand even after theyve been through the cycle.
I have had an SE error code for 3 years and also lighting and fan would come on at random while we were sitting on the couch and got so bad we had to unplug it before we left the house. I called Samsung and they sent out a repairman who said it was under a recall and replaced the touch pad which didnt fix it and left with a new keypad installed and doing the same EXACT thing! They came out again to replace the touch pad and he said it was not the touch pad on mine causing the SE error and other problems, it was the circuit main board that they unscrew and reuse on the new keypad. The repairman wanted over $200 to order and come back out and replace to fix the SE error code and lighting and fan issue. I declined the repair because I wasnt sinking another $200 in a $400 Microwave and immediately called Samsung and informed them that the keypad was NOT the part going bad from stove top grease on ALL microwaves, that it is also the circuit board. And the Supervisor said that Samsung would not cover that part because only the keypad is covered. Look folks, I worked at a name brand new car dealership as a technician and I will tell you.... ANY part that is causing the problem with the recall is covered so that the check engine light, etc is resolved and the customer goes away happy. Samsung told me when I told them they were about to lose a customer over this that they are sorry to lose me but they wont fix the recall unless its the EXACT part that lets say 10,000 microwaves have over 100 microwaves have being this electronic main board! I am very very upset over this and do not understand why they will install a part in someones microwave that wont fix the recall. Now the microwave stays on when you open the door so I guess a lawsuit is going to be coming from someone over this.
We bought this nice new French door refrigerator in 2009 from Lowes. Fast forward to 2011, we were moving and out of town. We came home to a refrigerator that had quit cooling. It was running but not cooling and there were loads of flies. Aside from being very ticked off, we cleaned it out, lost several hundreds of dollars in food. We have contacted Lowes several times and they cannot find the sale which doesnt matter; it has a sticker on it showing the mfg date. We live in a very rural area. Twice now, Lowes has been contacted about finding a service person and they would get back to us and never do. We were told by an appliance company here locally that this is the normal life of Samsung refrigerators, and Im finding this to be true. Anybody looking at more class action suits against them? There have been at least one due to them knowingly selling appliances with bad compressors from what I have read.
I have had this refrigerator for approximately 1 year, I absolutely love it. I do not know the exact model but it has the freezer on top with an option to change the settings to allow the top to convert from freezer to normal refrigeration which is how I use mine for added space. I never hear it running, absolutely the quietest refrigerator I have ever owned. I have the darker charcoal looking finish, love it.
When our microwave broke, we were planning to replace with the same brand we had, but the Samsung was such a handsome model, we were drawn to it. The price was better than the one we had, it looked better, and once it was installed (very easy, by the way) it was quieter than the old one, and worked just as well.
I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator from Lowes about a year ago. The paint on the handles are coming off where you grab to open the doors. Lowes was of no help. What are my options?
Samsung Microwave SMH9187ST - I bought this microwave in January 2011 and paid $270. Last night, the microwave turned itself on for about 15 seconds, then displayed the dreaded 5E / SE code. This was one of the top-rated microwaves on consumer reports when I bought it. I have gotten more use out of microwaves that have cost 1/5 the price. This thing should last more than two years when you only use it a few times a week. I will have to reconsider Samsung products for my future purchases.
I expend around $30k on TVs for my house, $10k for the kitchen appliances, $2k for cell phones, etc. and guess what? The microwave stopped working about 14 months later. Call customer service and they told me, Sorry you have to call a tech. yourself and pay for the service. Arent that nice. Pay about $750.00 dollars for a microwave that will only last for 14 months. I will be posting this on FB and all the media available, just to help people.
I’ve had my fridge for about 8 years and so far have not had any major problems with the fridge. The only thing that had to be repaired was the ice maker that kept getting jammed. The fridge is a 4 door bottom freezer. It is a large capacity fridge. I have two teenage boys that eat a lot so the fridge is large enough to hold a lot of food and large freezer. I really like the large capacity since that is what I was initially looking for.
I bought my Samsung refrigerator in 2014 and have had nothing but problems with the ice maker and food being ruined continuously because it keeps defrosting. I have contacted Samsung numerous times about the issues. Their warranty is a joke. Especially when you have to pay $75 just to get the company they send out to look at the item. The food replacements was definitely not worth what I paid for this product. I have read horrible reviews on their appliances and unfortunately I regret purchasing this product. I will never purchase another Samsung product.
On Feb 12th 2020, I had a new Samsung Microwave, Model # ME19R7041FS delivered and installed over my range. On May 11th, the microwave turned itself on. By the time I heard the fan running the oven was so hot I could not touch it. None of the controls worked to shut it off so I was forced to unplug it. The Microwave was hot both inside and the outside as well was so hot it not touchable. Fortunately I was home at the time of this incident and was able to unplug it. I cant imagine what might have happened if I had not been at home. I feel that a fire would easily have been the next step. I called Samsung and they said they would not replace the microwave that their technicians would be capable to fixing it. It is now supposedly fixed, however, I am not confident enough to leave it plugged in when I am not here. I unplug it when I am leaving the house. I feel Samsung should have replaced this unit as it was only 3 months old when it malfunctioned. I am seriously considering buying another brand microwave and replacing the Samsung one so that I feel safe.
What a huge disappointment with my 3 year old Samsung Fridge. Last summer my fridge stopped cooling. When we noticed it was accumulating ice in the back panel. After many reviews we defrosted it. This happened at least 3 times last summer. This summer we have had the same issue again. When I contacted Samsung about this they state there is no problem with this model. After careful review I have read many many complaints about this and there is even a class action lawsuit against the company. Very very disappointed. Never buying Samsung products again and definitely making my voice heard.
I bought Samsung range electric cooktop about 6 months ago. Very unhappy with this product! It’s impossible to clean and the temperature settings are always on high. Very disappointed!! Don’t buy Samsung.
Bought top of the line 2 yrs. ago and unit is now unusable! Purchased top of the line gas stove/oven. After setting it to clean the oven will not unlock, control panel is out, this virtually controls all of the unit. Had to move unit out from wall, removed back panel to get the oven to open, control panel is still out. Stainless steel top is sooooo cheap! It scratched first time cleaned! What a piece of trash! We will never buy from Home Depot again and never another Samsung! Made in the USA for us.
Oh, my gosh. 28cf French Door, luckily with a five-year extended warranty. After less than 2 years, plastic crisper drawers cracked. Since we just moved in, there was minimal items in drawers. They said it was normal wear and tear. Original owner was 85 years old, for goodness sakes. Last year, ice maker froze, was replaced, and froze again. Christmas 2018, whole back wall was all ice. Tech had to stream it to melt. Had to come back with part. Oops. Had to come back again with more parts because back wall was cracked. Samsung claimed it was cosmetic damage. I would not settle for that. Customer service is horrible! The extended warranty company did not want to cover cosmetic damage. I sent a full backup package, with a timeline, to our AG Consumer office and filed a complaint. Shortly after that, I received a check for the purchase price as a warranty buy out. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG!
If I could give zero stars I would! Samsung customer service is jerking me around. I am have all of the issues the previous reviewers mentioned, ice maker freezing, leaking in drawer & leaking water at the top of fridge in back at the seam. I have to keep water line turned off & hope I don’t come home to a flooded floor. I called for service. They came out, said they couldn’t fix it & Samsung rep said they would exchange/replace it. I then paid $80 for the service call for nothing. That was almost 2 months ago. I have called Samsung 6-7 times. I am still waiting for their call which I am sure will be never. Each time I call I am reassured they will call me & it’s been about 2 mos. I am getting blown off & strung along. It’s a 3yr old $2000.00 fridge. There must be some kind of class action suit that could be brought against Samsung. This is so shameful that this huge company can rip people off continuously. Never will I ever again buy anything Samsung. If I happen to see someone in a store in the future looking at Samsung appliances or products I will definitely share my experience & dissuade them from buying anything Samsung.
The automatic ice maker/water dispenser on my Samsung French door refrigerator growls when dispensing water. When I visited with Samsung customer service, they told me to change the filter - which I did. Two days later it began to growl again. Its very distressing to purchase an expensive appliance only to have it malfunction after a few weeks usage. I would never purchase another Samsung appliance!!!!
On Feb.16, 2009, we purchased a 30 Samsung electric stove AND a 5 year warranty. Almost immediately, we knew we had a problem. We spent the entire 5 years of warranty, having repairmen from A & E Factory Service (Sears) come put bandaids on this very expensive stove ($1508 without the warranty cost). When the extended warranty ran out in February of 2014 the stove had all the same problems it had as a new stove. Since then, I always set the temperature too high (because it never reaches the temperature I set it at). I bought a good oven thermometer to put in the oven which I watch by shining a flashlight through the glass in the oven door, adjusting the temperature throughout the baking period. You see, I cant trust the oven to go to the temperature I need. The beeper that is supposed to tell you when the oven is hot enough to bake your food beeps when the oven is at least 100 degrees lower than I have set it for. This oven has ruined so many things I have tried to bake, including a ham that I served partly raw without realizing it. NEVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS!! I seriously cringe when I see full page ads for Samsung appliances. I will NEVER buy another one. But think of all those poor people who WILL! (We purchased the stove from a store in Loveland Colorado called Ji and Daves Appliance, Inc. which is no longer in business).
My Samsung dishwasher broke after 6 months. Soap was still in the dispenser after the cycle was finished. They fixed it and it broke 2 months later and Samsung gave me the run around for a month. I could not get anyone out here to fix it. I called Home Depot, where I bought it from and they finally sent someone out. They came 3 times and changed several parts. The machine was still broken. We have had food poisoning and are sick with colds constantly from the mold smell in there. Samsung offered to buy it back and they have taken 2 months so far to get this together. I have had this moldy, dishwasher in my kitchen and they keep giving me the run around. Terrible customer service. Games played with me and people even hanging up on me when I have called them. I wish there was something more I could do. I wish someone could call for me and fix this. Samsung is making me keep this dishwasher until they are done with the paperwork and say that the refund is complete. They said if I get rid of the dishwasher that they would not give us our money back. I do not know what else to do. Maybe call a lawyer and sue them. Why are they holding me hostage. I need that refund to buy a new one. I the meantime, I am washing 3 loads of dishes by hand a day, while being sick from this junk dishwasher. How can they do this.
I spent over $3000. For a Samsung refrigerator which has an ice maker that constantly freezes up. I purchased a service agreement with Best Buy who in turn sends out a Sears service technician. This is an ongoing problem with Samsung refrigerator ice makers and they have no clue as to why this is happening. My ice maker still doesn’t work and the service department claims that the part is back ordered. Do yourself a big favor and do not buy a Samsung refrigerator. I am a licensed refrigeration engineer with the City of New York and I have never dealt with a major corporation that doesn’t care about customer care. By the way the refrigerator is only one year old.
October 2016 I bought a 4 door Samsung stainless steel refrigerator (model #RF22K9381SR/AA) from Lowe’s. The panel on the door below the icemaker/water dispenser has terrible water stains that will not come off with any recommended product by Samsung. When I complained to Samsung they sent out a technician to see it. The technician said there was a possibility that it developed a leak behind the door panel and he took a picture and said Samsung will be reviewing it.I then got a call from Samsung saying its not their problem because they are not responsible for cosmetic damage. Stainless is not suppose to stain with obvious water marks. I believe there is some defect with the refrigerator ice maker/water dispenser and/or that the stainless steel product they used is of inferior quality. I am very dissatisfied with my $3,0000 purchase of this refrigerator and am wondering if I can take Samsung to small claims court. I do not recommend purchasing Samsung refrigerators.
The water problem is a very easy fix..... buy an external water filter and plum it in in line either behind the unit or where the unit gets its supply of water. TAAADAAA remove the filter and it will now be in bypass, but the water is filtered before it gets to the fridge...... ONE other GREAT feature, the filters are 10 to 20 dollars as apposed to $70.00++ for each Samsung replacement filter. The filter assy (first filter is included) and reducer hardware to install is still less than the Samsung replacement filter. Just remember to buy the charcoal filter for taste and sediment. AS for the rest of the unit it is as already stated...... junk and service is an empty promise. After all they got your money..... so go away.
I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator in 2013. 2-Door Side By Side with Model # RS263TD1BP. This refrigerator was manufactured in 2012 which has a design problem. Ice builds around the cooling coils which allows the refrigerator to completely shutdown. The refrigerator only maintains temperatures at the bottom, and is hot throughout all levels of the unit. Apparently the sensor that is attached to the cooling system which does not regulate the system to adjust after it reaches a certain temperature. A service repairman removed the back panel and had to take a steamer to defrost the ice. It took over 55 minutes to defrost the ice and replace the back panel. This is a design and manufacturing problem. Samsung knew that this problem exist, but continues to put this product on the market for customers to purchase. The warranty states that this should be covered, but Samsung refuses to acknowledge that this issue is not covered, and is left up to the customer to pay for their mistake. I have contacted Samsung over 25 times, and cant get to the Executive Level. I am sharing my level of frustration because the average lifetime of any household appliance should be longer than 3 years. Refrigerators are suppose to last. This is a design problem and all of these refrigerators should be RECALLED! Customers that purchased the SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR THAT HAS THE BOTTOM PULL OUT FREEZER EXPERIENCE THIS PROBLEM several years ago and their units were replaced. Apparently, the problem is now existing in the 2-door side by side units as well.THERE IS A MALFUNCTION WITH THE COOLING SYSTEM. ICE BUILDS UP AROUND THE COPPER COILS WHICH CAUSES THE REFRIGERATOR TO stop regulating temperatures evenly throughout the refrigerator. The top and middle of the refrigerator is extremely hot and the bottom is extremely cold. Samsung should issue a recall of these appliances because they knew it was defected before putting these refrigerators on the market.Samsung Refrigerators are not constructed very well and apparently, this product does not have longevity. Too many consumers are complaining about this particular product. If complaints are being made, Samsung is aware of this malfunction and should take total responsibility and implement a recall. Samsung knew that this product was defective. A refrigerator is a household appliance that should last about on the average of 15-20 years. I sought out to buy a new refrigerator, a Samsung not because of need but desire. I was remodeling my kitchen, and I owned an Amana for 17 years. AND - this refrigerator never had one problem.
My fridge is only a little over a yr old and ice maker has gone out and cannot adjust freezer temperature. Everything is frozen solid! And when I changed water filter, water came out and flooded kitchen. Cost to repair is about $500. 00. Ill NEVER buy a Samsung product again--buyers beware.
Ice maker is faulty and it constantly freezes over, temperature is 7 degrees warmer than what I have it set to, & significant amounts of water leaks into the right crisper drawer. The only thing I like about it is the middle flex drawer, which seems to keep a good temperature.
We purchased this on 8/14/16. Oct 20, 2017. Its completely useless. Lasted 14 months. I have been without a refrigerator for 24 days. Still have two weeks to wait for a part. (38 days total) In the meantime I have a refrigerator with black mold. I have been contacting Home Depot about a refund. Its a NO! I asked for a small loaner. My local Home Depot says NO. I am a very dissatisfied customer. I would give it a zero not a one star. I am on a waitlist to be repaired. This is unacceptable. I want a refund.
