Samsung has a reputation for a lousy manufacturing process of their kitchen appliances. My dw7933lrasr dishwasher is less then 2 years old. They will not fix it until you buy an extended warranty for 288.00 plus tax (new dw, 100.00 more). The phone assistance was good but the bottom line is their appliances are designed to break. Consumer Report has their DW failure rate at 25%. Bought at HHGREGG Southpoint, Durham NC.

This series DW80F600 dishwasher showed signs of high temperature heating errors when it was only 10 months old. We called support and were told that it would cost a certain amount ($273.43 to be exact) to have someone come and look at the machine. Just look at it, not fix it! WE went ahead and had them look at the problem and of course, the part needed wasnt under any sort of warranty. Now just over a year old and we are are stuck with a $498.75 bill for a machine that still doesnt work. The error lights came back on the very next day! We could have purchased a brand new dishwasher for much less and gotten much better results. I am warning all who think purchasing this machine, to rethink that plan!! This is the worst dishwasher on the market.

I was shocked when my brand new dishwasher didn’t do a good job washing my dishes and I often had to run them through another cycle or finish them off by hand. Then it got worse, the soap didn’t dissolve and none of the dishes were clean. I called suport and 4 days later someone came out to take a look at it. Said the motor was defective and was going to order a new part. No idea when it would be in. So unworkable brand new dishwasher - needs a new motor, and I am not happy with getting a repair.I request them to send me a new one. Good luck with that - apparently it has to broken multiple times before they replace it... Looks like I’m stuck dealing with a horrible product until I decide I had enough and throw it away. Buyer beware, the product is pricy, the quality is horrible and the company could care a less about providing a better customer experience.

I have the same thing that happened to other Samsung owners in the reviews. We bought a Samsung dishwasher a year ago at Home Depot. As soon as it was hooked up, it wouldnt work. Samsung called in a repairman and he said it was fixed. But dishwasher comes on automatically on the heavy cycle and does a dry run but doesnt shut off. Called in another repair man for the same problem and he said this is happening a lot. He put on three new parts. Washer worked for five days. Woke up one night and heavy load running on a dry cycle again with no load of dishes inside, always have to turn off breaker. Have to call repair man in again. Called Samsung number and always put in hold. This time for over 45 minutes until a guy told me that not many workers there on Friday afternoon. If they have that many complaints coming in, then must be something wrong with the company. I would suggest before you buy, call any appliance call the companys 800 number. If put on hold for a long time, dont buy that appliance. What do I want... A new dishwasher and cost to install and a staff available to customers to listen To all of us with complaints. If I bought a new car and it broke it would be fixed. If I buy a new appliance and it doesnt work as soon as I buy it... Well what would be a reasonable answer? Please need help!

BEWARE. Had problems from the first week. Leaks like crazy on the heavy wash cycle. After several service calls and repairs we gave up and stopped using that cycle as the issue could never be resolved. We only use the express cycle to avoid leakage. Worked that way for a year. Now we have a computer problem where the key pad just blinks but the dishwasher wont start. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Most expensive piece of garbage weve ever purchased. So sick of service calls. Going to trash this piece of junk and cut our VERY EXPENSIVE losses. This was supposed to be top of the line. Dont be fooled. Its garbage.

I bought Samsung dishwasher and a Samsung refrigerator. A little after a year our dishwasher went out. Samsung sent out a repairman. It cost us a little over $200.00 dollars to get fixed. A few months later it stopped working again. Decided to get rid of the dishwasher. The icemaker and the fridge part of our refrigerator stopped working. Samsung referred us to Service Quick to repair it. The serviceman told us the ice maker will need to be replaced and to fix the fridge he will need a sensor. The cost would be $900.00 and $200.00 service call. I called Samsung again and they do nothing for people who buy their products. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS. We decided to buy another refrigerator. NOT A SAMSUNG!

Just adding to the huge damning file on Samsung. My experience is the same as everyone else on this site. Dishwasher breaks down 1 month outside warranty, and there is NO fix for it. Calls for help to Samsung are useless as all they do is refer you to a service center. How can they get away with this? Samsung dishwashers simply suck! Dont buy!!! I am currently into attempting my own repair on this machine. Just stripping and cleaning everything but reached a point where heavy lifting is required and thought I would check online for help - when I found this site. I will go no further, just put back together, start it up and if it is still not working, I will trash it! No sense putting good money after bad.

This dishwasher makes it difficult to load plates and bowls into the bottom
This dishwasher makes it difficult to load plates and bowls into the bottom shelf. They slide into guides at an angle, straddling two rows and ending up crooked, requiring constant readjustment. Never encountered that before in any dishwasher. Also sometimes this dishwasher doesnt completely clean dishes, especially if food is dried on, say, between fork tines or on a plate rim. Yuck! Never had that before either. I would never buy this brand again.

I purchased my Samsung DW (Model DW933) through Lowes. After 2 months, I noticed a smell that is always present - even after I cleaned the dishes. It is awful. Plus, the glasses dont stay up. I have several broken glasses when I open my DW, I can count on one of them being broken... The top rack is a joke. Spoke to Samsung and they sent a repairman out... He was a joke. I could not understand him. He told me to use vinegar too like I did not know that already. Waste of time. Im SO FREAKING UNHAPPY with this dishwasher but Im stuck with it. Samsung should recall them... Oh by the way, the rollers on the bottom shelf do not glide back and forth. If you take the shelf out too far, it will fall down onto the door. There are no stops to prevent this from happening. I need some help here. I dont have 700.00 for another new Dishwasher. :(

My dishwasher would not use the dishwasher packets I was using to wash the dishes. The soap dish flap would open, but the packet would not be used. I call Samsung and their support is the WORST! I got a guy that spoke poor English and probably never saw a dishwasher before. I told him the problem and he told me to clean the dispenser and turn off the circuit breaker. It was a TOTAL waste of time. He asked for the serial number and I gave it to him 3, (YES THREE TIMES), then he told me he was not paying attention when I gave him the number. Then he wanted to know the service provider of my cell phone. What has that got to do with the dishwasher, but he said he needed it. At that point, I knew that Samsung support people were brain dead and I just hung up. I already spend too MUCH time trying to explain the problem and another 4 hours with their support would not have made a difference. I do plan to get rid of my Samsung dishwasher and go back to my Whirlpool. I had a Whirlpool for over 10 years and NEVER had a problem with it. I replaced it because we decided to redo our Kitchen with Stainless appliances and we went with a few Samsung appliances. Now I will never buy Samsung appliances again. My recommendation is if you buy Samsung and need any support you are hosed! You will spend a lot of time on the phone with a moron that does not even know his products and wont know nor care what your problem is. He will read from a list of trouble shooting guides, which may be totally irrelevant to your specific problem. (i.e. your car wont start and the guy tells you to change the tire). One more thing, I asked the support guy for an order number and he told me he got an error code on his computer and could not give it to me. STAY, make that RUN, AWAY from this company!

The LED lights on the Heavy and Quick buttons start flashing and the dishwasher stops working after a minute or so of starting the dishwasher. I bought the dishwasher in January 2011 and the problem first happened just after a year of purchase, so I was outside of the warranty. The bill to fix this was about $300 and all the repair person did was pull out the dishwasher and wash the sensor (he said that there was some kind of dirt on the sensor). It took him about 5 minutes to fix it. He advised me to run the dishwasher empty once a month on Sanitize mode. I have been doing this diligently. Now less than 2 years later, I am encountering the same issue all over again. It seems like there is a problem with the design of the dishwasher. Other than the initial investment, Samsung wants consumers to spend $300 every 2 years to keep the dishwasher running!!

I have a 3 month old Samsung DW80M2020 dishwasher. The flashing light on Normal was the reason called for service as that is a signal something is wrong. I troubleshoot everything that was possible for me to check, service was dispatched from a company name of Nisi. I was told machine was out of balance and that they corrected the problem. Wrong. The problem still exists. Dispatched another young man on Friday and he noted on my ticket that he adjusted drain hose and that I should have no more problem. Wrong. The light was still blinking. I called again and they gave me a repair ticket number and the phone number for the same company that was out 2 times already and they told me they would not come out because it was not installed properly, How did it work great for 2 months if it had not been installed properly. Customer service is non existing at Samsung in my opinion.

When we moved we put in all new appliances... The dishwasher has had repair out twice... French door refrigerator once along with the washing machine that doesn’t drain properly, and as a consequence, smells bad and has to constantly be drained from the bottom making a terrible mess because of the way the drainage is set up. Right now my dishwasher is again having a problem and keeps turning itself off. I can find no leak. I will have to spend another $150 for repair to come out again. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance. They should stick to smartphones. In 53 years of marriage, never had a problem with a KitchenAid or Bosch... Should have stuck with what I know.

I cant imagine anyone that actually uses a dishwasher designing this one! The racks are awful. The top one will not hold wine glasses or any with a stem without falling over. The bottom wont hold more than 2 bowls, without giving up space for plates. And no way can I put pans in the bottom. They just wont fit. All of those have to be on the top with all of the glasses and cups. No room for both! I have had a bunch of dishwashers, starting in the 60s. Never have I had one that is so poorly designed. From the complaints I have read I guess Im lucky it still works! I am so disappointed but I guess Im stuck with it. To be fair we did buy our second Samsung French door fridge and love it. We purchased Stainless steel kitchen appliances in 2016 and have nothing but issues. Bought an extended warranty and even they refuse to repair anymore. Refrigerator - stop making ice, didnt cool properly, buildup of ice under deli tray, door handle came off of freezer drawer. Microwave - not warm properly, some of features not working. Dishwasher - will not drain water proper or wash dishes efficiently (dirty after an entire cycle, motor keeps running). I have contacted them. They only guarantee a year like most. Thats why we got the extended warranty. Never experience such repairs. Its only been 3 yrs. Something is wrong with this picture. I have spoken to them and they have washed their hands. Even the warranty service man told me that they were bad manufacturers and that they get calls all the time back to back for same issues. Please YouTube the models before purchasing. We are out of $4000 basically. I filed a complaint with BBB. They need to stick with cellphones.

We purchased this dishwasher at Lowes in July 2012. Earlier this year it stopped running and gave an 5E code. We looked it up in our manual and it said drain error. We checked everything and could not clear the code. We tried the cancel & drain to no avail. We ended up pulling everything out and scooping all the water out. We had a plumber come over and he checked all the drains/hoses etc. and found nothing. He then called Samsung and told them he thought it was the electrical panel and they would not tell him anything since he was not an authorize Samsung repair person. Unfortunately around this time my mom went into hospice care so hand washing dishes was going to have to suffice. My mother passed away in the summer. By late August I started contacting Samsung to get an authorized service person to come out. What a nightmare. I had to call a couple of times to get someone on the phone who would even help me. They will not give you the local persons number. I was finally given a ticket number and a phone number to call for Service Quick. This was a long distance call for me. They then said they would have a local person call with a quote and set up an appointment. So finally 6 days later I got a voice message. I returned the call now at least 4 times (another long distance number) which nobody answers the phone. It does not say the company name or anything, just a standard automated at the beep please leave a message. In the meantime I went in the phone book and called a local appliance repair person. They took the whole thing apart and told me it looked like the pump was out and possibly the electrical panel and that it looked like the parts would be about $350. That is half of what this thing cost! They suggested I just buy a new dishwasher. That in their experience the Samsung are a lot of trouble and expensive to repair. They were very nice and only charged me for a short service call. I am very frustrated. Every time I talked to a Samsung person I was asked did you purchase the extended warranty?. That is ridiculous! A dishwasher should not need an extended warranty for something not even two years old! It is now September 9th and I Still have not spoken to anyone on the repair side! I dont have money lying around to just literally throw down the drain on new appliances. But I think that is what is going to happen. I will Never buy a Samsung appliance again!

I have made the mistake of purchasing Samsung appliances in the last 2 years. Within the first year, the washing machine broke. After several calls to Samsung, a service technician came to our house to repair the machine. At this time, the technician reported back to Samsung that the washer needed to be replaced. I realized at that point that our situation was looking like the beginning of a nightmare. After several conversations between the service technician and Samsung, our machine was finally replaced. We also purchased a Samsung dishwasher. Within 13 months I had to hire a service technician to replace the thermostat (error 1E, 3E) for 282.50. Now, almost another later, another error OE. I will NEVER buy anything Samsung EVER again!

I bought a Samsung refrigerator, model @ RF263BEAESR in Aug 2012. First off, the handle broke off within a year and a half or so. I find the parts list online & email Samsung to ask how to locate them and buy them, as a couple of them didnt have part #s on the schematic. They proceed to tell me that they cannot sell me these parts, that I would need to contact a Samsung authorized repair person. Fast forward to 6-2016. The ice maker has continually frozen up for the past couple of months. Then all of a sudden, the fan starts making a loud noise. Then I realize that the unit is not as cool as it is supposed to be after purchasing a thermometer and setting it inside.Luckily, I purchased the extended warranty through the company I bought it from, however, the warranty contract will only allow $125 reimbursement in spoiled food. When I went through all of the food, I tallied it all up and it totaled over $208!! I am angry that Samsung has made such a shoddy product and no recall has been issued for this fridge. IMO, a fridge should last longer than 3 years before having cooling issues. I have owned others for many, many more years and never had a cooling problem with those.Apparently, this is a well known issue that the unit freezes up in the coil/ fan area, yet Samsung has not issued a recall, just a service bulletin! I threw away $2300 on this fridge and it looks like I will be forced to search for another one. I also own a Samsung dishwasher (has been worked on twice since purchased in 2013) and washer (has been worked on once since purchased in 2013) and dryer (crossing my fingers on that one!) Had I have known that they do not care about their customers and making things right, I would have never purchased any of their products! I know I wont be a repeat customer!!!

Samsung dishwasher dw80f800uws purchased 2/14 stopped working and emitted an error code on 3/25/16. (Note, 2 days before my Easter brunch). Samsung service center called and I went over error code and how that didnt seem to be the problem. I was told my best bet would be to buy a $300 service extended warranty, which I did, and they would contact a local approved appliance repair company and have them contact me. The service call provided no answer as he also found nothing that related to the error code. He returned another time to vacuum out the stale water (smells awful inside now) and said he will order every part that it might take to fix and it could be as long as 2 months. I smiled and said no way. He replied Oh yes. There are at least nine other customers waiting on parts I was later told. I was shocked- never have I ever had to wait that long for any appliance repair in all my years. As an avid cook and baker I am beyond frustrated. I am currently shopping a replacement and wish I never purchased the service warranty. Is this the norm for Samsung across the nation? What poor customer service after the purchase.

Have had to use the heavy cycle to get dished cleaned the entire time we have owned the machine. I purchased a fridge about 2 years ago and when the handle broke, the parts department advised me that the piece was discontinued and that nothing could be done to replace this. In sum, have a fridge for which I cant use the handle to open the freezer drawer. Lovely. The lifespan of their products is under 5 years. Amazing. Then 3 months ago, my husband purchases a dishwasher and guess what it works for a whole 2 days then breaks down. 3 months later, still washing dishes by hand and countless service visits with the incorrect parts ordered and still waiting. Called the executive department directly at Samsung just to learn that nothing can be done and basically I need to wait to hopefully receive the correct part and eventually be able to use my dishwasher. In 2010 our old dishwasher refused its duty after nearly 10 years of work. It was an AEG/Whirlpool and it made his work properly. So my wife and I decided to buy a new one. At last we gave the Samsung DW-SG720T a try and expected the same performance. First both of us discovered that nearly every dish was not clean at all. We changed the program to the hottest possible cleaning, but the machine did not meet the minimum requirements for cleaning knifes that are simply covered with peanut butter. This night (!) the machines front door stood open, after cleaning and after nearly 5 (five) hours ending the cleaning program without errors, the machine started to turn on the pump and made a signal while showing OE. My wife and I woke up, got downstairs in the kitchen and I had to turn off the fuse to stop it - it has been 1:20 am in the morning. Thanks a lot, Samsung! OE means overflow error but in fact there is no water in the machine after draining. I am angry about this piece of **. My recommendation is: Samsung? Hands off! I am interested in what the support is trying to tell me. Next time: AEG/Whirlpool, which is the same here in Germany.

This dishwasher works alright except dish rack are junk. They started rusting after about year and half and have gotten so bad can no longer use. Samsung will do nothing about this and they expect you to spend $400.00 for replacement racks on a $500.00d dishwasher. I purchased two Samsung dishwashers four years ago with deepest regrets. The dishwashers have been repaired several times. Ive spent over $600.00 this year repairing the dishwashers. Now one of the dishwasher is broken again. My wife, spoke to a Samsung Rep today, December 27th 2016 and was informed Samsung policy doesnt repair dishwashers three years or older.

I paid a thousand dollars for my dishwasher in 2015. I have not gotten one years use out of it without something breaking down on it. In the first year, after many issues, we ended up replacing the board on it. The rubber mat on the top rack and some of the plastic clips in it broke down during the second year. Now the water wall is giving us problems. Customer service runs us through a simple troubleshooting guide just like the one on YouTube then says not their problem anymore, call a repairman. Weve replaced the motor, the sensor and it still doesnt work. Looks like it is the computer board again. I will never buy Samsung again. I thought they were one of the best. I guess I was misinformed.

Dishwasher with water wall - It started to be defective a couple of months
Dishwasher with water wall - It started to be defective a couple of months after purchase (stopped working and showed a message on the top of the door to indicated what the problem was). Got repaired. But since at first, the problem was sometimes present and sometimes it was okay, they told me it could not be repaired and I would have to pay for the visit if when he comes, he cannot see the problem. So I had to wait for it to be defective all the time for them to repair it. This happened after a month since the beginning of the problems. One year later was defective again but this time more than one problem had to be addressed. The pump had a problem. The water wall isnt moving so the dishes that are on the lower part are not washed. And the motor had to be changed (I dont know if this is the same thing as the pump). And I had to wait a whole month for the parts to be available so these problems had to wait. Then someone came and repaired, or tried to repair. The motor or pump works better, it doesnt make that weird noise anymore, but the water wall isnt repaired, the repair didnt work. So the water wall will have been defective for a month and a half if this time he is able to repair it, or longer if he is still not able to repair it.The extended warranty applies only if the same part is broken three times, not if one part is defective, then later another part is defective and so on. Also the extended warranty can apply if in the end the dishwasher will not be repaired, but how long will I have to wait for them to decide they end the trying to repair period of time? Also, this time they will probably replace the same part that had been replaced during the first year of warranty. But since it happened during the first year of warranty, it will not count for the extended warranty that started at the end of the first year. So even if the part is replaced a third time, the first time will not count. In other words, there is not much chance that my dishwasher that is always defective will be replaced. I am stuck with it. I will never buy a Samsung product again. This is a shame, it is always defective and all this time waiting for a repair wastes time of my warranty since nothing is happening. They should replace it after three problems, not three times the same part broken. And they should extend the warranty during this whole month when I am waiting for it to be repaired. It was an expensive dishwasher. What a waste of money.

I will never buy another Samsung product again. This dishwasher is our second one; the first one was replaced right away after purchase for not cleaning our dishes. This current one is just as bad, if not worse. Our dishes are never dry. They all need to be dried with a towel since theyre so wet. And the recommended jet dry does not help. The worst part about this product is our dishes are never clean. Samsung has not been the least bit helpful and claims it works just fine. I dont consider dirty dishes acceptable and neither should they. Its unfortunate that so many consumers are unhappy with the product but we are stuck with it. Please do research before you buy appliances!! And a class action lawsuit sounds perfect to me.

These refrigerator/appliances were advertised as black stainless steel and they are simply Black Shrink Wrapped. Have had my fridge for 3 years and am embarrassed when company comes over. Recently purchased a high end dishwasher and had to chose a different brand. I do love the black, but unless Samsung chooses to find a paint, replace the door or find another way to make this fridge look as advertised, I can no longer recommend Samsung black stainless products. Samsung has made no attempt at a resolve. Why advertise black stainless when it is a film that is applied and peels off in creases, near handles, folds and edges. I have several areas of peeling that began a year after purchase. Requested a paint from the company and was told there was none available nor would a paint be available. Probably because shrink wrap is not paint.

Purchased the Samsung Waterwall Dishwasher in June 2014. Brand new technology - $900 worth! Pffff!! Within 6 months, had to have a repairman out because of an error saying there was a problem with an O ring in the water pump. Within 12 months, they were out again for the same issue - TWICE! Finally replaced it on their 3rd trip. 12 months after that (2 days ago) got the 7E error, telling me the waterwall was being blocked and couldnt move. Nothing blocking the waterwall and it is just stuck. Repairman coming AGAIN tomorrow to check. My extended warranty through Lowes is up in June 2019. I WILL be buying yet another brand dishwasher when that happens. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance. They should stick to phones only!

Machine has never cleaned dishes from day one and now it needs 600.00 worth of repairs. A fault code 7E keeps being logged and that will take a drive motor and circuit board replacement. Had service tech out twice while still under warranty for inability to wash dishes properly and they could never find a problem. Now the warranty is expired. It logs this water reflector problem and the parts are covered under warranty, but will cost me 250.00 labor to fix this piece of junk. I should have bought the Bosch instead. Very disappointed in performance of product purchased from what I thought was a reputable company. Ill never buy Samsung anything again.

The dishwasher repair was so expensive I elected to buy a new Kenmore. The refrigerator nightmare has been going on for 3 months with Samsung customer no service. These people jerked me around for 3 months (over 20 hours talking with them to fix the problem). My advice is do NOT allow Samsung to send out a repairman. Samsung will tell you its covered (as did the repairman) but when the job is complete you will be charged. I then got stuck with a large bill. If yours breaks call your own appliance repairman and save yourself your sanity. Samsung is a greasy/sleazy company selling beautiful but poorly made appliances. Had dishwasher 2 years. My contractor handled first 3 service calls in time right after bought. He had family issues as well as me. Washer works intermittently long cycle > 4 hours then stops altogether not to mention water pools in bottom. I usually add bleach when I smell it. So I call because its Xmas and I cannot use washer other than as dish drying rack. Buy extended warranty. Call. Guy comes out. He can get it working, needed part. Comes back, puts new part in. Said normal 4 hr cycle. Mind you washer is 6-8 feet from Insta hot water heater. In California should be banned. No Appliance running water should run this long. Now its Easter and I have a dishwasher that runs hours! On normal cycle sold as energy efficient. Ha! Maybe if you add rage the times it does not work with the long cycle. And this is normal.

On November 2011 the dishwasher started faulting out with the 9E code. A service man was sent out and ended up replacing the sensor level. Within a week the dishwasher started making this loud grinding noise. The noise eventually went away. November 2012 the dishwasher started faulting out with the 9E code again. Our dishwasher is 2 years old and it has been a problem since the start. The touch pad on the top of the door is sleek but doesnt always work properly. Many times we would press the button and nothing happens. You need to press the power button then the start button. Both often need to be pressed several times before it works. The cleaning power is weak and the dryer is worse. After a long cleaning cycle, the glasses and dishes are dripping wet. A few times the dishwasher stops in mid-cycle with an error indicator. We need to open it and restart it. I cant rate this machine low enough.

I wish I had read reviews before purchasing the dishwasher. I had purchased the refrigerator and was somewhat satisfied so I purchased the dishwasher so that the appliances would match. Both are stainless steel (so they say but magnets stick to the front of the dishwasher so you know its not stainless.) The front of the dishwasher has rusted but in addition to that (this was actually the icing on the cake) the dishwasher has not worked more than it has worked. Always stopping, giving blinking lights, had to replace the level sensor twice, clean out the line numerous time and it really doesnt clean well. The refrigerator while not rusting doesnt drain and a thick sheet of ice gets under the drawer. We have to take the drawer out and soak up the water and ice. Nothing but issues. I hate both appliances and will NEVER purchase another Samsung appliance again. I wont even take it for free. Thank you.

Good thing there wasnt that many in there. Took them out soaked in bleach. I read my book it said run it once a week, I have been. Run the dishwasher with bleach, then run it again with dishwasher detergent, without dishes. I thought it wouldnt happen again but it did. So disappointed in this dishwasher. Samsung sent someone out to look at it and he couldnt repair it. Samsung replaced it with another dishwasher. This one lasted six months before I had my first error issue. It had to do with the pump. The repair guy fixed it and it ran for another six months then had the same error. The repair guy fixed it. Now I have a new error 7E and my repair guy is concerned. The bar has no blockage and the error is still there so now he is having to replace the motor and such. I wish I had known that these dishwashers were so crappy. Weve owned a number of Samsung products from washer/dryer units to dishwashers and microwaves. Our family has been pleased with the quality of those products. The refrigerators are another story altogether. About 6 months after getting our stainless Samsung fridge, the front of both doors began rusting. This seemed absurd and I called Samsung expecting some kind of answer and/or assistance in dealing with this. Wrong! Not only did their customer service team insist that this was purely a cosmetic problem so not covered under any kind of product warranty, but when I escalated this to a specialty department, I was told that nothing would/could be done, the problem was mine, and basically too bad. A fridge should not rust after a few years let alone a few months. This was shocking. Im now totally turned off the Samsung brand and will no longer be purchasing their products. When I said this to the service team, their response was oh well. Nice.

We paid top dollar for a Samsung dishwasher. I could not understand why it did not clean as well as my one that I got rid of that was over 15 years. It is old. I finally figured it out. You have to clean the dishes first before you put them in the dishwasher, new concept for a dishwasher. If you just scrape them off, in about a year you will have to replace the CASE Brake Assembly because particles get into it and you cant clean it out, as you once could in the older ones. The part is at least $80.00 not including labor. I have always heard you get what you paid for, not so with this, It is junk. Dont waste your money.

It never cleaned that well. Glasses always came out dirty. So here we are AGAIN, the dishwasher has stopped working but because we are now over a year they say our warranty is out and refuse to fix it. If you buy a brand new product and within the first year need service 4 times, dont you think there is an issue? And its convenient that the last time they came out they said if we needed service again they would just replace it... Its pathetic Samsung does not stand behind their products. But I guess they really dont want to because its crap. And in my opinion, my warranty shouldve started over every time they had to come out and repair it.

The reason for this review is to alert purchasers to the problems associate
The reason for this review is to alert purchasers to the problems associated with the Samsung dishwasher, and to the importance of selecting a reputable appliance sales company. In October 2016, my wife and I purchased a Samsung Appliance package from Bill Smith Appliances in Fort Myers Florida. Shortly thereafter, we began having problems with the dishwasher. I had researched the brand, and was already aware of draining and pump problems with the dishwasher, but was informed that the new model dishwasher was fixed. After repeated problems with the unit, a detailed search on this website confirmed that there were recurring problems with draining, and flooding of these dishwashers, and one caught fire causing thousands of dollars in home damage, as did the flooding issues. Two other units had circuit board electrical shorts, and one retailer was advising his customers to avoid the Samsung dishwasher. Because of the fire and recurring flooding issues, despite the fact that the unit was still under warranty, we decided we would not have a potential fire situation in our home. We would replace the unit rather than have it repaired under warranty.I explained these issues to the Vice President of Bill Smith Appliances in an email, and almost immediately received a response: Although our dishwasher was beyond the 30 day 100 percent return policy, the company would accept its return for a reasonable restocking fee, and apply all sales incentives to a replacement unit should we decide to purchase another dishwasher from Bill Smith. While the product probably could not have been of more concern, the benefit of having done business with an entirely reputable appliance dealer was phenomenal. What is also phenomenal is the CONSUMERAFFAIRS.Com website, where folks can post their experiences, the good and the bad, and the service and attention to customer experience that one appliance retailer extended to us.

We bought a Samsung Dishwasher Model DMT800RHS in 2011. Repaired it several times due to rack clips breaking off and getting stuck in the impeller. Samsung did not fix the faulty design on those clips and just sent replacement parts. Guess what, they broke again. In 2014.08.05 the dishwasher would not power up at all. Repair person attended and cost $500.00 for the repair! The machine cost me $859.90. In 2014.10.15 the machine broke again, no power at all. The Tech re-attended but now out of the 90 day warranty. He did get it working for 1 day and claimed he did not know what the issue could be but dont call him back as now out of warranty. Great. Next day, machine broke and has been ever since. I have had this dishwasher running now for a month. From the first load it has not washed my dishes properly. I always have food particles left on my dishes. I had a service tech come out and state, that is how Samsung dishwashers perform. You have to wash your dishes in order for it to wash the dishes. When I called Samsung to complain and verify what the tech stated, they initially told me that no pre-rinsing or pre-washing was required. But 5 minutes into the conversation, they tell me that the tech is correct, dishes must be pre-washed and pre-rinsed.The service tech had also told me that the Samsung dishwashers are notorious for leaking. He has to replace hoses and units all the time because the plastic tubing gets pin hole leaks from wear and tear off the hot water coming in and out of it. Buyer be aware! Now I go back to Home Depot and they will not return or exchange the product because it has been more than 48 hours since we have had it (but less than 90 days from purchase, and less than 30 from installation - and installation was paid for separately when we were ready to install as we were going through a kitchen renovation and needed more time for the cabinets to be completed). Reading on these Consumer Affair complaints, it looks like its time for a class action lawsuit.

Every time we called it took them 2 weeks to come out. By November they had been out 5 times and I was demanding a replacement. Id spent 4 months hand washing all my dishes. As it was less than 1 year, I had to call Samsung. They insisted it was out of Warranty I needed to talk to the provider of the extended service even though the receipt was dated August 16. I called them and they sent me back to Samsung, who didnt seem to have any paperwork with our dates despite the fact that they had been to our house. After another few days with no call back I called Samsung again and reported the issue. Next, the rep put me on hold and tried to contact the company with no success. That rep said they would keep trying and call me back. Finally, after more than 2 weeks without a working microwave a Samsung rep called stating that they did not have anyone that could repair it and would issue a refund. But of course, there is a catch! I had to supply a receipt that I no longer and had paid cash for the microwave so no bank record. Once I explained this they said they could still issue a refund but it would take 10 days of review and then they would send out an email to start the process for getting a refund. I am not a criminal nor am I trying to scam them. I would much rather have my microwave fixed than purchase another one. But that does not seem to be an option. I cannot understand why it would take 10 days for review. Also, the refund is going to be $37 less than what we paid. We have had other Samsung products that we have had to replace or repair. We replaced our dishwasher and our refrigerator need to be replaced. It has several issues. We will not be purchasing anymore Samsung products or recommending them! We finally just went ahead and purchased another microwave and have the Samsung sitting around waiting for the email about getting a refund. Samsung requires you to take a picture of it with the cord cut and the serial number. I get this procedure but I should not have to wait 10 days for an email in order to send this information in. It seems like a stall tactic to me. I am a service business owner and would never have a customer wait over a month for results!

We purchased the Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80K505US last fall. We had the service techs here to check on it as the dishes were coming out with food stuck on them no matter what we did. We did everything the tech said to avoid this problem and it didnt change a thing. Two weeks ago we received the replacement machine that Samsung sent but it has exactly the same problem. As far as we are concerned this is a design flaw. The rinse cycle is not working properly as the dishes come out dirtier than when they were put in.According to the last service tech who was here 2 DAYS AGO, it is caused by the companies trying to go greener with the machines. What use are they if they do not do what they are supposed to. I am currently using both the detergent and rinse agent they recommended and now I also am supposed to buy another product - Finish dishwasher booster. I have an issue with the chemicals as they cause me health problems so I am assuming that we bought an expensive floor ornament and will have to go back to washing dishes by hand.

Dont buy Samsung dishwashers! I bought DMR78AHS stainless steel dishwasher and it is absolutely horrible. Weve had nothing but problems. The brackets constantly break off, clogging the unit. I have to constantly rewash the dishes because they dont come clean. I have to towel dry the dishes because the machine doesnt dry like it should. I have had the water pump replaced. I have had numerous service calls to my house and thank God I had extended warranty. I didnt have to pay for it, but Im still pissed with the warranty because they took me through hell and back before they finally ruled it unfixable - and agreed to give my money back. Never again will I buy their appliances. When I talked to the rep at Lowes Home Improvement, she stated that they get a lot of complaints about the Samsung dishwashers! Buy at your own risk!

We made the ultimate mistake by purchasing this Samsung Storm Wash dishwash
We made the ultimate mistake by purchasing this Samsung Storm Wash dishwasher. The dishwasher smells and constantly traps mold in the dishwasher & on the dishes. After less than 1 year the dishwasher hardly cleans at all, the glasses look worse after being washed in dishwasher than before. There is a gross film left on all dishes despite using rinse agent religiously. Silverware has to be rewashed before using. I hand wash more dishes than the dishwasher washes! So frustrating & Im stuck with this piece of junk till I can afford a new one. Very disheartening. Samsung has no care despite emails sent to them. They refuse to help & refuse to take product back. I was willing to trade for another Samsung dishwasher. Shame on any company that doesnt stand behind their product! My daughter got an Mac Pro recently that began to split apart after a month; Apple immediately took care of this. Samsung could learn a thing or two!

The dishwasher is one year old and from day one smelled like football locke
The dishwasher is one year old and from day one smelled like football locker room, even when it was empty. It was installed by Home Depot. I re-routed the drain hose higher to keep water from the disposal from back-flowing into the dishwasher, which I assume has no back flow prevention valve, given the amount of water left in the sump after running. No change. Ive owned and installed many, many dishwashers and never had an odor problem, even when they were full of dirty dishes. We bought a second home home with brand new Samsung appliances. A Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer. We have issues with every one of them! Poor design and poor engineering is consistent throughout the entire line. I wouldnt even recommend them to my worst enemy! The seller paid $500 for a transferable extended warranty. It took him 3 months of constantly calling Samsung and hours of arguing to finally get the warranty transferred! So, if you have an issue with a Samsung appliance, well, good luck.In addition to the constant horrible smell, the dish racks are very poorly laid out and waste a lot of space. Good luck trying to fit 12 place settings into this. It does a poor job of removing coffee stains from cups. The upper rack has only 2 height settings. On the higher one even small saucers hit the very useless top cutlery rack. On the lower setting you run the risk of the washer arm hitting any moderately tall dishes or pans, which causes food to stick to the dishes.I am speculating that the smell is caused by incomplete draining. There is filter that needs constant cleaning, but even keeping it clean doesnt prevent the smell. There is a sump under the filter where water pools, but that should be clean water? But many other dishwashers leave some water in the bottom and do not have this horrible smell. And, at this price point, the dishwasher should have a food grinder instead of a filter that needs constant cleaning! Again, poor design and engineering! The dishwasher is very quiet, and if you set it up within the confines of the poor design and engineering, it will usually get things fairly clean. But you can find many, many other dishwashers for much less money that will do a much better job every time, and smell fine even with a load of dirty dishes. Dont fall in love with the pretty face! Buy something that works!!!!

Please do not buy this dishwasher (DW80F800uws). I had researched and brought this dishwasher for my own kitchen remodel. I went with a top model and a name brand that I felt was reliable and had great customer service. 14 months after I purchased it it needed a new motor. My warranty had just expired. Samsung paid for the service call, parts and labor. I thought this was wonderful. A company that backs its product. Now three months later the 0e code has come on. Now I have another fix. I called Samsung they stated they would send someone in 4 days. 10 days later I called the company and will schedule appt. for 4 days away. I scheduled this 2 weeks ago. I now must pay for a service call, parts and labor. The system needs to be fixed. I was hoping that a dishwasher would last longer than 14-17 months without repair. (Let me add that it is only run every other day.) I do not believe in throwing things away but if you build a dishwasher that will break down right after warranty is up shame on you. I would rather have them come and take away the dishwasher. Ill wash them by hand. Such a disappointment Samsung. I even called the corporate office - no help there either. Do not buy this dishwasher - it is a dud.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher Model Number: DW80F600UTS/AA on June 22, 2014. Everything seemed to be working fine until November 30, 2014. We had issues with the Dishwasher, Product Symptoms: Operation/Doesnt work/Doesnt dry. This was covered under Samsungs warranty within a year. It is now August 2015 and were already having another issue with this Dishwasher - we had an appliance repair person come to the house and he tells me we now need a computer board for this dishwasher. One hundred something dollars and thats just for the part, thats not covering labor to install the part. The Technician is telling me if you have any sort of voltage issues these Dishwashers will need parts replaced. What is getting me angry is that we have a whole house surge protector protecting our main breaker and were still having issues. I would expect issues after several years say 4, or 5 not within the first year to year and 1/2. I contacted Samsung Customer Service and explained to them the latest issue. I also explained to them there was another issue several months after we bought this Dishwasher. Samsungs reply was its over the warranty, period. You used to buy appliances from Sears no less that would last years, now you pay good money thinking youre getting a good product - Samsung no less - and this is the way they treat you. It is not right. Period.

This is the WORST appliance I have EVER purchased. Even after requesting maintenance TWICE: - the detergent dispenser STILL door does NOT release the tab, liquid, whatever after about an HOUR of washing (and THATs the SHORT cycle!) - Inefficient! My water bill would gag you if you saw it. - Ergonomically awkward (not enough room to stack in large items or tall glasses) 2 sprinkler wands is a good idea, but only if they leave some room for dishes! - Poorly assembled - watch out! Those wheels pop off frequently! - Silverware holder lids catch regularly on the side panels when trying to roll the bottom tray back inside.- This machine will make you boycott even the SAMSUNG GALAXY - THATS how frustrating and inadequate it is!

The second time (only a month after warranty expired) my persistent complaints were transferred to the Office of the President. The person I spoke to was rude, refused to let me speak to his supervisor and suddenly pretended that we had a bad connection and he could no longer hear me and hung up. Very unprofessional. We purchased all new Samsung kitchen appliances in Nov 2014. Our dishwasher is accumulating mold and the smell was awful. I called Samsung as we have owned plenty of dishwashers (Whirlpool, Frigidaire) and never had this problem. The customer service said that I should be running empty cycles with a special soap once a month. I told them we have run an empty cycle periodically but to have this bad of a smell in such a short amount of time is horrible. I also know someone with a Samsung dishwasher who has the same problem. They told me they would send out a technician but if the technician said it was due to me not following the maintenance guidelines I’d be responsible for the bill. I declined because I know THEIR technician would probably say its my fault. Very disappointed. So now we are stuck with a dishwasher we dont want. We definitely would never buy a Samsung dishwasher again and this horrible customer service would make us think twice about a Samsung anything (We have a lot of Samsung in our home currently). Should have splurged and got the Bosch!! Our model number was DW80F600UTS.

We purchased a suite of samsung appliances to upgrade our kitchen. We have had problems with literally every piece. Never again. We have the DMT800RHS. This dishwasher has never dried acceptably since day one. It usually leaves food particles. We have learned to inspect dishes as we remove them. We have a perpetual drying mat on the counter. We leave the door slightly ajar when not in use to keep the unit dry. It seems to cut down on the odors. We run a vinegar clean cycle every other month to keep the drains clean. This seems to have solved the intermittent drain code problem. We wipe the seal with a rag every week to prevent sludge build up and seal leaks. My 20 year old car requires less maintenance. After reading many of these reviews I almost feel fortunate. We now have the rack handles dissolving. It seems like the detergent (or possible the vinegar cleaning required for the odor problem) has broken down the rubber to the point it is flaking off and sticking to the dishes. We took a scrapper and removed as much as we could. Hope some of these tips may help some of you get by until you can replace this horrible appliance. Just never again...

I bought the new Waterwall dishwasher in July 2014. It worked well for one week. The door wouldnt stay shut. When it was shut steam came out the top and damaged my counter tops. We have had it repaired 4 times. Last night after investigating a moldy smell under the sink, we found black mold and wet wood. It appears the dishwasher has been leaking and we never knew it. I already have a claim with Samsung to replace my counter tops and now we may have to leave the house because of the mold. I called my insurance company who is sending someone out today to inspect. I wish I never bought this dishwasher. Samsung is the worst.

DMT300 Dishwasher - Low water level error. Over and over since the machine was just over a year old. Most problematic appliance I have ever owned. Can fix it by cleaning out the level switch assembly. I have done this 3 times. Had to pay for a manual to learn to press HEAVY, DELICATE, and POWER together to get into the diagnostic mode. I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher DW7933LRABB and have nothing but horrible experiences with its poor cleaning results. I have had no less than 8 service calls for this machine. Each time a service repair agent replaced a part or parts saying it will resolve the poor results. It is nothing but a piece of junk, and I am being nice as this review would be flagged. I might as well eat off the dirty dishes as they are cleaner than after running them through this dishwasher. Samsung has done nothing for me as they say it is a extended service contract issue, not theirs. The issue is they make horrible products. If you are thinking of buying any Samsung product DONT DO IT as you will be writing a review like mine. Samsung has lost a customer and I will tell everyone I know not to buy or do business with this company ever!

DW80H9930US - My Samsung dishwasher was installed on October 25, 2014. The first call for repair was made on December 5th for a persistent water leak from the bottom of the door. The repair was made on Dec. 26th in which the venting system in the door was replaced. The next repair call was made on Dec. 31st for the same water leaking problem. The repair was made on Jan. 9, 2015 in which the venting system gasket was reseated. The next repair call was made Jan. 10th for the same water leaking issue from the bottom of the door. On Jan. 16th, the service man placed an order for a door latch replacement. On February 6th, the door latch mechanism was replaced. Water leaking and the door popping open without error codes mid-cycle continued. The most recent repair took place on March 14th, where the repairman replaced the whole door. No more water leaking has been noticed, however, one month after this repair, the door continues to pop open mid-cycle without any error codes. The time remaining does appear and flashes. I close the door, and it starts up again and with fingers crossed it finishes, but not without multiple door popping open episodes. Ive checked the strainer in the base and its not clogged with food particles. The top rack does roll forward, and Ive seen another posting about it becoming disconnected from the sprayer mounting at the back of the dishwasher wall. Perhaps this is the reason the dishwasher continues to stop mid-cycle without displaying error codes. My anger is with Samsung, not with P.C. Richard & Sons performance. I dont know, but one thing is for sure, when my 5 year warranty has expired (thank God, I had the smarts to purchase one), this dishwasher is going to the curb and I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance, nor will I recommend their products to anyone!Updated on 09/25/2015: the dishwasher seemed fixed after the whole door replacement back in March 2015, however, it has begun leaking again (mid-August 2015) from the lower left area at the bottom of the door (the same area where it leaked from the start).

I purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher from Home Depot less than a year ago. One day, my dishwasher decided to not turn on. I called Home Depot Support, they sent me to Samsung support. Samsung was great at first, they were able to get a repairman out within two days. Repairman came to my home, looked at my dishwasher and told me I needed a new circuit board. He would have to order it and come back sometime next week. Okay great. Here’s where things went downhill. He proceeded to tell me I needed to hire someone to come uninstall my dishwasher so that he can work on it. I will then have to hire someone again to come out and reinstall it once Samsung fixes it. I bought a Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot last year. It was on sale, all stainless inside and seemed like a great deal. It worked a couple of times then quit... lights flashing and stinky water remaining in the basin. Home Depot responded quickly and sent someone out twice to repair it then finally sent me an email saying it was not fixable. They gave me a full refund. But, I am stubborn and was determined to fix it. Sometimes it worked thru a full cycle and sometimes it did not. I would have to push a couple of buttons to get it to drain afterward. After months of troubleshooting it finally works for me every time. The key is a balanced load. When you put a dinner plate on one side of the rack you must put the next dinner plate on the other side. Same with the top rack. Equal weight on both sides of the carriages is the trick. It sounds like a pain in the you-know-what but it works for me and I feel like a winner! :)

Dishwasher DW80F600 Series Serial # B00AG9MF106456D - We purchased this dishwasher 13 months ago for $800 at Lowes. It stopped draining the water last August, so we had it repaired under warranty. The technician they sent out installed all new parts on the machine. It worked well until last night when the problem reoccurred. When I pulled the machine out to find the serial number, I noticed that the frame was badly cracked on both sides. The cracks emanated from holes that were drilled in the bottom front of the frame. Having studied metallurgy, this is called stress crack corrosion, and is normally caused by a vibration. I called technical support and they told us that since the machine was one month out of warranty that they could send out a technician to repair it for $309.00 (including tax), and that they would also extend the warranty for another year at this price. After reading the reviews on this series, we opted to discard it and purchase a model that was not a Samsung.

Horrible. Bought Samsung fridge, dishwasher and microwave approximately 3 years ago. The freezer had to be repaired last year, out of warranty of course. Now the ice/water dispenser is showing rust on the outside of our pretty white fridge. The microwave and dishwasher are both dead. Error codes on the microwave and the dishwasher just cycles on and off without actually running the wash. Samsung customer service was ZERO help since the appliances are all off of warranty. Our own repairman says they will cost $150- $250 a piece to fix. Appliances should last longer than three years when we invested thousands of dollars in them!! No more Samsung EVER and we will make sure all our family and friends buy Otherwise as well!

I purchased a (expensive) Samsung Fridge at Home Depot and after 1 month of having the fridge there are small rust spots all over the front of the fridge. When I called Samsung support they said its a cosmetic issue and not covered under the warranty. They said it could be caused by prolonged exposure to moisture (Ive had it for a month) or an abrasive cleaner was possibly used. The only cleaner that has been used was warm water and dish soap one time and a mixture of vinegar and water one time. Samsung refuses to stand by their product and Home Depot says the issue needs to be handled with Samsung.

We have had problems w/ the Samsung DW80F60OUTS dishwasher from its installation from Home Depot to its operation. Previous problems involved Samsung not installing the proper electronics in the door - it had 2 different types of the electronic programs; the door seals leaked; it did not clean the dishes. The current problem is that the water entry or draining does not perform. The Smart Auto light is flashing. The soap dispenser does not open. Dishes from the last operation are dirty. Called the local SS authorized repair company which will come out and properly repair this poor excuse for a dishwasher. If it had not cost so much I would give it to the monthly large item pick up for the dump. Purchased in July 2015; we do not like it at all. Glad we bought the extra repair service contract which takes effect after the SS warranty. Should have bought a Whirlpool or GE dishwasher.
