The Samsung dishwasher, while never doing a great job cleaning dishes (even when rinsed prior) at least continued with the cycle... except until after about a year. We bought a 5-year warranty on all our appliances, and the dishwasher is the main appliance where its been needed. But still only works for a month or two. IT IS A PIECE OF JUNK!!! Right now, we are trying to figure out how the remaining 3 years on our warranty can be prorated to exclude the dishwasher, and just go out and buy another dishwasher. This one is completely unreliable!!

I have a fridge of 1.5 years and just after first year was defective ice maker and now just after 1.5 years, compressor is blown. Compressor is under warranty for 5 years, but after 15 days, Samsung has still not replaced the compressor or the fridge. Every time I call (and spend 1-2 hours waiting for case management), they pretend theyve never spoken to me - even though they ordered the dispatcher that diagnosed the issue! This is so fraudulent and unacceptable. I bought the fridge at Lowes and they should be ashamed to allow this type of dishonest activity to happen. I have spent so much in restaurant bills and spoiled food, I could have bought a Viking fridge. NEVER, NEVER, EVER BUY SAMSUNG. By the way...my Samsung washer/dryer? Also had issues the first year.

Unfortunately I purchased a Samsung dishwasher when it was first launched so consumer reviews were not available then. I wish I had the foresight of returning the dishwasher immediately during the first month of purchase because my dishwasher never thoroughly cleaned my dishes. I was so amused by the lights and buttons that I ignored the dishwashers failures. After numerous service calls to the vendor, the repairman decided to replace the unit. Shortly after however, the dishwasher completely broke down. I wish we could make Samsung accountable for what they know to be a poorly produced and designed product.

The install of my dishwasher by a Samsung subcontractor in Sacramento, CA was installed backwards. Therefore a flood occurred the next day. I had to call a plumber emergency to fix it and pay out of my pocket. Samsung refused to reimburse. Fridge French door brand new doors do not close properly. Service never showed. Samsung spent an hour on phone not agreeing to service and finally agreeing even though fridge is under a year old. Installers who are from Samsung installed doors incorrectly. Again they refuse to fix. Bins in fridge break within a year and again they refuse to fix. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Its bad enough their appliances are bad but their service is awful and I purchased appliances straight from Samsung not from a store. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. EVERYONE OF THEM. Service horrible too.

After remodeling my kitchen, I chose what I thought was top of the line appliances. I purchased the best in each category offered. Oven, Refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. Every appliance is broken. They are less than three years old. My husband and I are retired and do not abuse or use these appliances everyday. Trying to get service has been a nightmare. Each appliance requires a different ticket which means four separate service charges. I would never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance.

DW80F600UTS dishwasher - Do not buy this dishwasher. If you do I hope you purchased an extended warranty. Broke 3 times in 2 years. Same code and part. Samsung did help repair it 1 time because the exact part broke in less than 3 months. Not a family use. Ran it only 3 to 4 times a week. Even put a filter on the well to prevent problems. Would like to sue them for making such a defective Lemon.

Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher.
Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher. After reading Consumer report. Right off the bat dishes were always wet, never dried, had to hand dry. Called Samsung and was told to turn my hot water heater up and use on sanitize and heavy load settings. (This is great way to save energy.) This really did not accomplish much. Dishes still wet, still had to be dried by hand. This dishwasher is only used on weekends in the summer maybe at most it was used 20 times the first year. Second summer by 4th of July used around 6 times and a grinding noise started. Not all the time but at end of cycle. Called repair person (independent) 4 people refused to work on Samsung. I found one repair person who I paid $200 dollars to come and he told me I needed a new motor, which would be upward of $300. Washed the dishes for the remainder of that year. Third summer, called Sears, got a service contract for all products purchased from them, $300. Sears came and replaced pump, and said there was lots of plastic rack clips in pump, we counted 4. I never raise or lower the rack. The clips broke from just simply pulling it out and pushing it back. I was instructed to do this gently. That was 4 weeks ago. SE light came on and dishwasher stopped, after at tops 6 uses and gently moving the rack back and forth running hot water for 3-4 min. until very hot before turning on dishwasher at heavy and sanitize load. After a two week wait for service and another week for parts Sears is scheduled to come and replace pump and motor and all the rack clips. This will still be under my repair agreement with Sears (thank Goodness). So far my 3 year old Samsung DMR78DHS $800 plus delivery and installation has cost me $500. That is $1300. divided by the times used 30 = $43.33 each times it has been used. WOW!!! Not counting energy cost. I have no expectation that this scheduled repair will last. I hope it will until the end of summer and I will plan on buying a new dishwasher. I will under no circumstance buy another Samsung product. I wouldnt pay sales tax on another Samsung product if they gave me one. Not worth the trouble.

First 3 months after we bought the Samsung dmt300, it was down. Sears came out repaired it, 3 months later down again. After 4 repairs in the first year, I had had enough. This is the worst freaking product I have ever bought. For the price you pay, you would think it would work great but heck no we have had a repair person here to fix the stupid thing over and over again from it completely being rebuilt the first year new motor. Pump front panel board and so on to the last few repairs of the top water jet falling off and the rollers on the racks falling off.Now another problem with the stupid thing - flashing heavy light, which by the way means there is a leak somewhere, which there is going to be another service call. Thank the Lord we had sense enough to purchase the extended warranty. Never again will I purchase a Samsung dishwasher. They are the biggest **. I do have to agree with some over posts; it does not get dishes clean or dry.

Bought a Samsung dishwasher from Best Buy and had installed late Jan 2014. Once installed had service come out to the house FOUR (4) times to repair. Would just stop working. It never cleaned that well. Glasses always came out dirty. So here we are AGAIN, the dishwasher has stopped working but because we are now over a year they say our warranty is out and refuse to fix it. If you buy a brand new product and within the first year need service 4 times, dont you think there is an issue? And its convenient that the last time they came out they said if we needed service again they would just replace it... Its pathetic Samsung does not stand behind their products. But I guess they really dont want to because its crap. And in my opinion, my warranty shouldve started over every time they had to come out and repair it.

My advice - DONT buy Samsung products. The condo block my friend lives in has Samsung dishwashers installed. Three of them that I know of have quit. It is impossible to get good service with any kind of results. The technician at the other end keeps you on the phone for hours and wont consent to new parts or agree that there is a problem covered under warranty. It took one gal seven months to get any results. Two are still working on it. They are not cooperative at all. We had a Samsung TV. What a disaster. The picture was always blurry and with movement, it was followed by a delayed shadow. Weve switched to LG products and love them.

Samsung RF267 series- Never another Samsung. I purchased a Samsung dishwasher and Refrigerator at the same time 6 years ago. The dishwasher quit after about 1 1/2 years and the refrigerator has had issues from the beginning. Freezer not draining properly causing water build up under crisper drawers and leaking onto the floor. This is a known problem on Samsungs but Samsung has done nothing to address the issue. Then about a year ago ice maker would freeze up and not work until it was defrosted. Now the water build up is continuing and the ice maker has stopped working completely. This refrigerator is not recommended.

We purchased our Samsung Dishwasher from Best Buy in February of 2014 as part of a 4 appliance suite for our kitchen remodel. BIG MISTAKE! We did not buy the extended warranty through Best Buy. The dishwasher started to fail (would not complete the cycle) in February of 2015. It was still barely under warranty so Samsung sent VA Electronics out to repair this problem. Worked until Sept 2015 when the same issue came back and the front door started to leak. Had to pay VA Electronics $99 to come back out to repair the problem, but it just started leaking again! Never buy a Samsung Dishwasher.

I have been very satisfied but I couldnt give it a 5 because it has some trouble occasionally with heavily soiled dishes and when it dries it leaves water in any surface that is not completely flat. We went to buy a Bosch but salesclerk said Samsung was better and quieter. So we listened. Im a person who still scrubs all my dishes before hand even though they say its not necessary. I bought a Samsung dishwasher DW80H9930US/AC in Feb 2015. First problem within a few months was it wouldnt drain, a new pump was installed by a service company. 2nd problem was the door leaked, 4 service calls later, a new seal and latch, the door leaks the same. Samsung 800 service center said they would send a tech out again to fix. 2 weeks and 2 calls to the 800 and no response from anyone. I am now using a clamp on each side of the top of the door to prevent the door from leaking and so I can still use it. It has also leaked on my hardwood floor causing damage. The D/W is junk.

My dad, my brother, my father-in-law, and my brother-in-law told me not to go with Samsung, but I didnt listen. Now, Im paying the price. In less than 8mo Ive had 5 technician visits to attempt to fix my dishwasher. After 5 visits I finally got frustrated, and decided to call samsung to see if they would replace my dishwasher since its obviously defective. In short, their answer was no! First time the dishwasher broke was about 4mo after I purchased it. It would stop mid cycle with an error code which meant that it got too hot. That took 2 visits and as many weeks to repair. At the 7mo mark (July 1st), it stopped washing the dishes in the bottom rack properly. I contacted Samsung July 3rd. It’s July 24th and the dishwasher is still not repaired. Technician came out and said that he had to replace two parts, the bottom spray rail and the control panel. He had to order them. That was visit #3. Visit #4 was when he came to replace the parts. After a couple of hours of work the dishwasher was still not repaired. He said that there was another part broken, the motor that moves the rail. He’s suppose to come back Wednesday, July 29th. In the past 8mo, according to my count, 4 different parts have broken on Samsung’s “top of the line” dishwasher. I hope my review keeps someone from making the same mistake I made. moral of the story: listen to advice...do not buy samsung appliances. Theyre inferior quality. They look nice on the outside, but theyre garbage on the inside.

It has literally broken every glass I had. I have to load glasses on the bottom rack to get them clean (somewhat clean). I have contacted Samsung and Teppermans to have this dishwasher replaced. The customer service at Samsung was shocking. The last fellow offered the extended warranty one time service call; however, he was extremely rude during our conversation. When I asked him why he was so rude, he got angry and said, forget it; I am not offering you the one time service. What? Purchase a Samsung dishwasher in January 2014. I was very excited. It was very nice looking - all stainless steel. It just finished off the appliances that I had in the kitchen and it was a Samsung and they make good everything else so the dishwasher had to be good. Made the mistake of not buying the extended warranty as Ive had issues with those with other companies in the past. What a mistake from the start. The dishwasher gave his problems. At first it didnt want to drain properly then four months in, the lights were flashing on and we had to call Samsung who sent somebody out 4 days later to tell me that it needed a new control board. Shouldve realized that there was a big issue when the repairman himself told us that Samsung was having problems with this machine.Next came the noise that it made but it was draining and then after that came the awful smell and two weeks ago the light started blinking again and guess what out of warranty and Samsung wont help which is just fine because in my opinion it is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever wasted my money on. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves selling this to the public. Do they not realize that theyre hurting any reputation that they had.

We have had problems w/ the Samsung DW80F60OUTS dishwasher from its installation from Home Depot to its operation. Previous problems involved Samsung not installing the proper electronics in the door - it had 2 different types of the electronic programs; the door seals leaked; it did not clean the dishes. The current problem is that the water entry or draining does not perform. The Smart Auto light is flashing. The soap dispenser does not open. Dishes from the last operation are dirty. Called the local SS authorized repair company which will come out and properly repair this poor excuse for a dishwasher. If it had not cost so much I would give it to the monthly large item pick up for the dump. Purchased in July 2015; we do not like it at all. Glad we bought the extra repair service contract which takes effect after the SS warranty. Should have bought a Whirlpool or GE dishwasher.

In contacting Samsung, they are advising that since its past the 1 year warranty, there is nothing they can do. Even though its the same issue they already had fixed. This dishwasher makes it difficult to load plates and bowls into the bottom shelf. They slide into guides at an angle, straddling two rows and ending up crooked, requiring constant readjustment. Never encountered that before in any dishwasher. Also sometimes this dishwasher doesnt completely clean dishes, especially if food is dried on, say, between fork tines or on a plate rim. Yuck! We purchased our Samsung in August of 2014. We were gone for an extended period of time and the fridge was barely used and was off most of the time after delivery. We returned in mid March and a couple of weeks ago in early April 2015 I placed a double wrapped (plastic and butcher wrap) package of frozen fish on a fridge shelf to thaw for cooking in a couple of days. Two days later, when I went to the fridge there was a terrible odor... fish. I noticed the thawed fish had leaked and spilled all over the shelf and down into the drawer below. I removed it all and cleaned it up and tossed the fish too sickened to cook it. About 4 days or so later I noticed that the odor remained. I recleaned the entire fridge. I noticed that the shelf on which the fish leaked, the one that I had cleaned thoroughly now had a reddish brown stain all along all sides under the tempered glass between the shelf frame and the glass. Ok, I thought, I must remove the glass BUT the glass is sealed into the frame and I could and cannot remove it for proper cleaning. Now, the clear fluid that leaked under the glass has a reddish brown color which indicates to me that bacteria were feasting on the fish juice that spilled from the package. I was alarmed and ran hot water from the faucet directly onto the shelf sides. NO LUCK! I then tried soaking the shelf... one side at a time, in my sink in hot soapy water. STILL NO LUCK. I called Samsung, live chatted with Samsung and submitted emails and called my appliance dealer. We purchased an expensive 5 year warranty for service. I thought they would make this right. All of the shelves, freezer and fridge are sealed. You cannot clean any spilled liquid!!! I even tried inserting a single edged razor blade under the side to let water in but it would not. I asked Samsung for directions on how to clean those sides of the glass. THEY SAID THEY HAD NO SUGGESTION. My appliance dealer also said they could not help. After approximately 8 hours on the phone with Samsung I now have a refrigerator that is a bacteria factory and cannot be cleaned. I am going to report this here and now I am going to search out a class action lawyer who will take this case.I have NEVER owned a fridge that did now allow for cleaning of the glass, or if sealed, did not allow fluid leakage. SAMSUNG HAS A DESIGN FLAW. If you care about your health and the health of your family DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE HEALTH RELATED ISSUES. Samsung offered to send out a service person. HOWEVER, if this was a cleaning/maintenance issue, I would have to pay for a $55.00 charge. Do not even try going into their self help or request for service by phone or online. Both methods ultimately shift you back into a service request circle of forms that grow more complicated.I spent more than four hours on the link that I was given that would solve my problem. I took the link and filled out all the information, uploaded photos of the problem (bacteria growing) and scanned and uploaded my sales receipt. It then flipped me to a self-help page that one could NEVER escape from until Samsung clocked you out. If you are human, like me, and occasionally spill liquids in the fridge, DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG, IT WOULD BE SAFER TO BUY AN ICE CHEST AND A BAG OF ICE IF YOURE LOOKING FOR SAFE FOOD STORAGE. Thats it, Ill never buy another Samsung product! Now, Im off to find a class action lawyer to make them fix this problem. Ive felt nauseated ever since noticing this reddish brown bacteria. Dont know if it was/is the bacteria I cant remove or the stress that Samsung has caused!

He also told us it would keep happening. LOWES would do nothing for us nor would Samsung. Im 60 and have used MANY different washers in my home and others. I must say this one is THE rotten egg. We have had the Samsung DW80F600 for 2 years and it is not working. Called customer service and ended up in some foreign country with staff who had no idea what to do. The only solution was to call a technician which I did and awaiting for him to show up. I suspect that as with most posts here, the technician will tell us that the repair will cost a few hundred dollars in which case it will be cheaper to buy a new one. WE had a GE dishwasher for 20 years and never had a problem with it. Like their Samsung phones, I suspect they cannot produce good products. Many other good brands to choose from.Updated 9/21/2016 - Samsung has a con system going on. THEY KNOW THERE IS A QUALITY PROBLEM WITH THEIR DISHWASHERS AND THEY CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Please read the rest of the post. I promised to let you know what happened with the fix of my dysfunctional Samsung DW80F600, 2 year-old dishwasher.I called the appliance repair company Totem Appliance that was recommended by Samsung and set up an appointment for September 21, 2016. I was told that they cannot tell me over the phone what the problem was until the technician had a chance to diagnose the problem. The fee for this diagnosis I was told is $115. The technician showed up and lo and behold was carrying a replacement part. I asked him what that part was and he told me that this is the part that needs to be replaced. The exact part is the Brake Case Assembly - I believe part # DD82-01111A (as shown on the package). I asked him how he knew what the problem was and his response was that Samsung fielded many such complaints and by now they know what the problem is. Reluctantly I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. The cost for this part is $400 (a new dishwasher costs $600). He pulled the dishwasher out and replaced the bracket case assembly. He turned the dishwasher on to test it and amazingly it did not work. The Smart Auto error was blinking. He said that the dishwasher senses water and we need to leave the dishwasher door open for 24 hours for the water inside to dry or alternatively, he can dry the water himself. I said he should dry the water rather than us wait for 24 hours (not knowing whether we are going to see this company again). He pulled out the dishwasher (again), flipped it over, and unscrewed the bottom panel. Lo and behold, no water to be found, meaning there was no water as he claimed. He then said he needs to look at the ecs sensor. He took it apart, cleaned it and screwed back the bottom panel. He turned the dishwasher on and my goodness, it did not work again. The Smart Auto light was blinking again. He then said he has to call head office. He did call head office and they told him he needs to replace the pcb which is the main control board. He told me that this part is warranted for 5 years. I wanted to know why did he not replace the pcb in the first place and he said that Samsung told them to replace all three parts, regardless of the problem and then charge for the ecs and bracket case assembly only. In other words, since the pcb is under warranty they want to give you the impression that you are getting a so called deal.Since he did not have the pcb on him, nor did he have a replacement ecs sensor, he said that he will return the next day (Thursday, September 22) with the parts and replace them. So what does this all mean - 1. This is one big CON; 2. Rather than first replace the warranty part, namely the pcb, they sell you the most expensive parts first and if the fix does not work, only then they offer a replacement pcb. This to me is cause for a class action lawsuit and perhaps inform the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to trigger a recall. If you all agree with me then lets go for it. We all know by now the problems that Samsung is having with the Galaxy phone suggesting that quality is not part of the Samsung culture and secondly, they think their customers are stupid.

We purchased a $1200 dishwasher from Samsung in August 2014. After 1 month it began breaking down and coming up with error messages which stopped it from running. Every time we called it took them 2 weeks to come out. By November they had been out 5 times and I was demanding a replacement. Id spent 4 months hand washing all my dishes. They came out and replaced it and things seemed fine before I saw water and suds streaming out of the bottom of the dishwasher on to my hardwood floors. As it was less than 1 year, I had to call Samsung. They insisted it was out of Warranty I needed to talk to the provider of the extended service even though the receipt was dated August 16. I called them and they sent me back to Samsung, who didnt seem to have any paperwork with our dates despite the fact that they had been to our house. They didnt care that there is most likely water under the dishwasher on the wood flooring. We havent heard yet from a repair person 24 hours later. I will never buy another piece of equipment from Samsung. Their quality and service is the worst Ive ever experienced.

Our new apartment has a half-wall between the kitchen and living room. We wanted a quiet dishwasher. The salesperson at Best Buy said the Samsung was the quietest on the market, so we bought one. It stunk when we opened it, but thought that it simply had to be used and the stink would disappear. Boy were we wrong. It is now 8 months later, after trying different detergents such as Finish gel and tablets (which we have had good success with in our old dishwasher), vinegar, etc. and the rotten fish stink is still just as strong as day 1. I dont know if the dishwasher is quiet because of built-in soundproofing or just that we cant get close enough to it due to stink to hear it. NOT happy.

I purchased my Samsung dishwasher in 2014 from Conns. It was the one with the bar that moves forwards and backwards. The first one started showing an error within 2 days. Samsung sent someone out to look at it and he couldnt repair it. Samsung replaced it with another dishwasher. This one lasted six months before I had my first error issue. It had to do with the pump. The repair guy fixed it and it ran for another six months then had the same error. The repair guy fixed it. Now I have a new error 7E and my repair guy is concerned. The bar has no blockage and the error is still there so now he is having to replace the motor and such. I wish I had known that these dishwashers were so crappy. I wasnt warned by my salesperson, he was just wanting to make a sale. Next time, which I feel will be sooner rather than later I am going to get a different brand. Buyer, beware and do research! We bought a whole new kitchen set, all Samsung. The dishwasher did not work from day 1. It arrives dead on arrival. We were renovating our kitchen so we were not able to install it until about a month and a half after receiving it from the store. It did not work. Lights just flashed on the display and that’s all it did. No one informed us when we bought the set that there was a 30 day replacement clause, Samsung insisted on fixing it and would not exchange it. 4 visits from a tech and a month and a half later the dishwasher is finally fixed. They replaced all boards inside as well as the door switch and wiring harness. Still not working. We paid for a proper working dishwasher and are left with a refurbished unit if they ever get it working. Samsung was not helpful at all. Not willing to stand behind their products even when it arrived with a factory flaw. I would never buy a Samsung product ever again because of this terrible customer service and lack of standing behind their product. I would recommend that no one support this terrible company. BUYER BEWARE! Heres what Im dealing with right now: We purchased an entire kitchen set from Samsung.com in December as a black Friday special. In March, the dishwasher stopped working. We contacted Samsung via their website and set up a ticket. The day of the appt, the technician didnt show, we contacted them and were told that Samsung cancelled their contract that day due to Covid. No one bothered to call us to let us know. They said we would have to wait until the lockdown had passed. We did. For 3 months. As the state has now reopened, we contacted them to see when we could get the repair. They advised us they no longer had a repair service in the area. We then asked for a replacement, they never actually responded to that despite our insistence of a repair or replace, instead they offered to refund us the amount we paid for the dishwasher. Because of the discount we received for purchasing this is as a set, the amount they are willing to refund is only half the cost of a replacement dishwasher. This would force us to have to pay out an additional $400 after going 3 months without a working product, this is unacceptable. For the first 3 months I was cordial and patient, but this past week has brought out a whole different side. I am beyond frustrated with their customer service, and I do not think it is right that I would have to pay them any more money to get what should have been included in my initial kitchen package. We got their Tuscan Stainless Steel set and it is an exclusive color only to Samsung, we would have no choice but to give them more money or risk losing home resell value for having a mismatched set.

My husband and I bought all new Samsung appliances for our first home: refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer, and dryer. Each product has had to be repaired in the less than 4-year period we have owned the home. The most infuriating by far has been the refrigerator which now freezes over on a monthly, well, lets be real here, weekly, basis. A block of 3 builds up near the fan due to its poor design flaw which means we have the joy of unloading the entire contents of the refrigerator and freezer only to carry them out to the 1980 GE refrigerator in the garage. The sole job of the refrigerator is to keep food cool, yet this product cannot do it. Im angry that this issue has not been resolved and a recall has not been issued. It may sound crazy, but spending my monthly midnight Oh no, its done it again...time to relocate all of the food hours of fun isnt a tradition Id like to continue. I just want my money back so I can put it towards a new refrigerator that will not convert itself into a titanic sized iceberg that, although an iceberg, cannot keep my food chilled.

We Bought our RFG297AARS/XAA June 2009. We love the unit. But in late 2013 we noticed water pooling on top of the freezer door. Turns out there was a leak in the water dispenser. Out of warranty, so I needed to buy a new left door. I lived with the leak, soaking up the water from the reservoir underneath the tray with a paper towel until it became too persistent. In September of 2014, I could take no more and ordered a new door. The technicians were nearly finished installing it when they realized the handle on the new door did not match the one from the original door on the right side. It was longer, and the holes did not line up. A call to their office revealed Samsung stopped making the original door. The technicians were very nice and put the original door back. So now, instead of a 140 dollar door, I would have to buy two of them in order for the refrigerator not to look ridiculous. I called the Samsung Expert Customer Service and said I expected to pay for the left door, but that I felt it unfair to have to buy two doors because Samsung wasnt backward compatible with their handles. The handles! Though nice, the rep conferred with someone and came back to inform me that no, Samsung would not provide the matching door for me. I am now living with the leak until I figure out what to do. One thing I will not do is add to my Samsung collection of 3 televisions, a large computer monitor and a dishwasher. Their refusal to provide a 140 dollar door, on a $3k unit, to match the one I am already buying, because they stopped making the original handle, comes with this result: the thousands I will spend in the future on electronics and appliances will not go to what used to be one of my favorite companies. I will make sure to tell everyone I know and everyone I see in stores looking at a Samsung product. Thats really all I can do with my displeasure, all any consumer who feels wronged can do.

My dishwasher started leaking badly. Upon my inspection, the bottom door seal was falling apart/disintegrating. I went to Lowes where I purchased it (this was one month after my 3 year extended warranty had expired) and asked to order the part in order for my plumber to repair it. They could not find the correct part but tried to sell me a part anyway. I knew enough to know that was not a part I needed So, I came back home and called Samsung for help. They referred me to J & J Parts which is their official distributor of Samsung parts. They could not find the individual part I needed. Moreover, they indicated that Samsung built that rubber piece into the door and I would have to buy the door for $254 to solve the problem! I called Samsung back and explained the issue. They didnt seem to care and said I would have to call an official Samsung tech. to come out and fix the problem. So I did that hoping it would cost me much less than $254 and the seal would be repaired. The tech confirmed what J & J Parts said to me on the phone - that I would have to order most of the door piece (over $200) and then the labor cost to add on to that made the estimate to repair at over $400! The Samsung tech visit cost me $97 for nothing that I didnt figure out myself! All this headache for a 22 piece of rubber seal! The bottom line is this: dont buy a Samsung dishwasher (my model #DW80H993), if you did and this happens, dont waste your time and money to try and fix it. I obviously would not spend the $400 for this piece of trash, so I bought a new and different dishwasher with a 5 year warranty.

Thanks Samsung for such a nice product that doesnt do what it says it will do. It also doesnt have it anywhere on the box or user manual saying you need to babysit your dishwasher. Also, buy some new dish drying towels because our dishwasher that you just bought for over $700 doesnt dry dishes. Samsung lost a long time buyer and supporter. Ill never buy another Samsung product!!

I purchased a home in October 2018 with a suite of 4-year-old Samsung appliances. The only good thing about the dishwasher is that its quiet. With that being said dishes often come out after being washed with food particles still on them and do not dry well. My issues started a month ago when the dishwasher wouldnt complete a full cycle - it was stuck mid-cycle. I chatted with a Samsung rep who said to flip the switch off and back on on the circuit breaker. This reset the dishwasher and it did complete the cycle. Two weeks later, the dishwasher lights were flashing, it was making a suction noise, flashing a LE code and wouldnt power off. I had to shut off the circuit breaker.I chatted again with a Samsung tech, who promised a tech would be out the following Monday. That was the 1st lie. The technician couldnt come until Wednesday and I had to pay $100 for a trip fee (the rep never mentioned this) because its out of warranty. Tech comes out and says I need a new door because the door wont properly lock - which will be $230. I have a hard time believing the door is suddenly the issue considering the dishwasher is 4 years old. After reading the other nightmare reviews on this site, Im certainly not going to funnel $330 into the repair of a garbage appliance - which should work properly. Even after taking my issues to Twitter, Samsung has still yet to respond. Garbage appliances + terrible customer service = me spending money to buy a new Bosch dishwasher. Save your money and avoid Samsung appliances like the plaque! Ive also had to reset the circuit breaker on the 4-year-old refrigerator a couple of times. Never had any issues with the 9-year-old suite of Kenmore appliances in my last home.

I am a 73 yo Veteran and have had a dishwasher all my life. This Samsung dishwasher (Model #AA3JAG9MC&05835Y) is the worst I have ever owned starting with the dumb design of the dish racks that make your glasses fall over and dished roll when the rack is pulled out or pushed in. The worst problem is that it does not clean the dishes, I have been embarrassed several times when guests poured a drink and then dumped it when they saw the glass was not clean. I wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and still have to put a lot back in the dishwasher when they come out dirty. Ran the dishwasher twice yesterday and the dishes and glasses still come out dirty. Samsung wants me to spend my money to have their reps come out to fix the problem. Not going to happen, will throw out the Samsung and buy another brand that does what it is supposed to do.Also having problems with my Samsung Grand Prime cell phone. Friends are cursing me for not answering my phone only to find out that the ringer has changed from sound to vibrate or do not disturb WITHOUT my knowledge. Samsung can correct by a simple LOCK function on settings but after numerous calls and requests Samsung did nothing to correct the problem. Solution to my problems: TRASH MY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS AND GET ANOTHER BRAND THAT WORKS.

$700 dishwasher started acting up 9 months after purchase. Kept shutting down before going through full cycle. Dishes were very dirty. We called for repair since they would also be there for the second repair on the microwave (bought at the same time). A circuit board was replaced and lasted 4 months before breaking down right before July 4th barbecue with 80 people. I spent the next couple weeks talking with various people. 3 times made it to their executive customer relations level. Was sent two emails confirming a one-time repair as we were now out of warranty. Received a final call informing me they have no one to service the machine, I was out of warranty and they would not service, despite previous agreement to service. So what happens when they sell extended warranties at the point of purchase, if they have no one to service the product? I called an independent service company. They advised me not to have it serviced. States Samsung has chronic problems with their circuit boards. To quote, They make great phones, they should quit there. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. I spec products for kitchen renovations. You can be sure they will NEVER be on my list!

We have also been given the run around from Samsung about what seems to be a faulty product - their waterfall dishwasher. What a horrible company, I cannot believe they can stay in business. Our dishwasher is just two years old and quit working. After talking to several customer service agents on the phone, through email, and online, it is still not fixed. We had a local repairman come to look at it, he said it costs more to fix it than what it is worth at this point. There are only two certified Samsung repair businesses in Indiana. The one in Fort Wayne told us they would not come and look at it due to the constant issues with Samsung. We have another one finally coming Monday - we hope (after 7 days of dealing with them to the point my husband was screaming at the customer service rep that was in India because they were asking completely irrelevant questions). If you are looking for new appliances, please do not purchase this brand. We had issues with our refrigerator also. They are poorly made, and Samsung has to have the worst customer service of any company on earth.

Samsung has a design flaw and all of their 7933 model dishwashers. They refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem. The top basket and spray arm assembly inserts into the bank of the dishwasher to get water. The rubber washer rubs against a hard plastic jet. It rubs until it’s worn out. The basket will push away from the nozzle and the water will not ever get to the spray arm. Hundreds of thousands of units are designed to fail and consumers will think they are not using the right detergent or rinse aid or some suchlike thing. The glasses on the top rack do not get clean because no water sprays to wash them. Samsung refuses to even admit there may be a problem. I know, Ive spent 4 hours on the phone.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2016. I have since had to manually defrost the coil and fan three times and as I am writing this, the fan is running noisily and tomorrow I will have to pull off the back panel behind the shelves and defrost it yet again with a hairdryer because this build up keeps the refrigerator from cooling. I am a disabled man living mostly on a fixed income. The refrigerator cost roughly $3000 which took me a year to pay off. I called customer service and the rep told me that he could do nothing about it. I asked to speak to his supervisor to see what recourse I had if any and was met with extreme hostility. He outright refused to resolve my issue or offer anything helpful. Samsung needs to teach its people what professional customer service looks like. I did not appreciate the condescending tone of their customer support agents. I also work for the largest home goods and building material retailer in the United States and have actively informed customers not to purchase any Samsung appliance until they improve the quality of their product and customer support. I would suggest that others provide the same service to family and friends who need to spend their hard earned money on a new appliance. Recently, we needed a new dishwasher and purchased a GE which my wife and I are very pleased with. Presently, we will never buy any Samsung product whether it be a household appliance, phone, tablet, TV or anything else. After the “convenient” freezer door handle, being only supported through plastic, broke off for the second time and after having manually defrosted the fan, coil, and heating element for the third time in two weeks, I bit the bullet and bought a new fridge. It seems you have to purchase the entire freezer drawer to fix one plastic piece. By the way, the Whirlpool I purchased has performed great with all the features of the Samsung for about 40% less cost. I have just finished writing a rather lengthy letter to the consumer protection agency documenting the numerous issues and failed CS conversations. I advise anyone thinking of doing the same be sure to document all calls (i.e. date, time, rep name, etc.). Take pictures with your phone of all visible issues including the rust spots your stainless probably has because of its apparent poor quality. I am hopeful someone may read this who can help...

3 of 4 Samsung appliances have now died in 5 yrs. Today SMH9187 microwave door latch broke after giving Error 13 the other day. Reading other reviews Im now afraid it will turn on by itself and burn my house down! Worse, Samsung dishwasher broke in 18 months and not only leaked on my hardwood floors but got so hot I needed a potholder to turn off after 5 hrs and it wouldnt stop. Lowes at least stepped in, said these were so bad I got a new Bosch Ive loved now for 3 yrs. Samsung counter depth refrigerator also had icemaker die in under 2 yrs. Lowes replaced it due to extended warranty but now 3 yrs later I tried again with warranty expired. Also had 2 Samsung LCD TVs die in 2 yrs, with both a Blu-ray player and separate DVD go belly up in that time too. Stupid name for ever buying anything from them after 2nd item. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG! Unbelievably bad quality and worse, truly dangerous!! Stay away, hope they go out of business soon.

Recently we converted our less than six month old our entire upgraded GE kitchen appliances to Samsung Black Stainless Steel at roughly $6,500. In spite of the cost we have always had success with the product brand including TVs, cell phones, tablets, appliances you name if Samsung makes it we buy it. However the dishwashers has been less than acceptable not to mention most disappointing. Besides being noisy theres always standing water after a complete cycle. If unattended the odor of spoiled or soiled smelling water its all but unbearable. No problem. We contacted the local Samsung authorized technician to make a house call and repairs or adjustment. After a half hour he said everything was in working order and the accumulation of the standing water was normal... I quote its needed to prime the pump... That of course is BS!First thing when you start the washer is WATER! Subsequently and after filing a complaint with customer service which I might add are nothing more than pimple face robots sitting in front of computers that reply from canned presentations. Eventually and after some persistence our complaint was sent to another department and after waiting three or so weeks we get a call back saying they are sending us a complete refund. Once again my faith is restored with Samsung; but its not to be! After a few more weeks the promised call back never came so we reached out to their customer service and once again we got a runaround with the pending refund. But today we get a call from the department that makes the final decision telling us it was a mistake and the problem is considered maintenance not covered under their normal warranty... Mind you we are talking about a product that was less than three weeks old. Their (CR) mannerism with a response was being read not communicated like in a normal conversation; most disappointing to say the least. The CR kept repeating the same verbiage word for word over and over several times. Before I wrote this review I did some research and discovered besides Samsung - Bosch and Whirlpool they share this common problem. Their recommendation is adding vinegar and lemon juice in the dishwasher or you can buy a cleaner/chemical specific for dishwashers to control odors; expect to pay around $12-$13. So Samsung potential dishwashers buyers beware!

We purchased a complete package of Samsung appliance for our new home on October 2013 and they got installed by end of November 2013. Thinking that Samsung had a good reputation for other electronics the decision was made without hesitation. Well that was a mistake. First the refrigerator ice maker started to make continuous noises, and the middle drawer got stuck every time you try to closed. Both issues where fixed under warranty. Then, surprise it was the dishwasher turn to break. It started to not dry and show an error s5, which meant that was not draining properly. I called Samsung and they say that it was out of warranty. I was a month too late meaning it only lasted 13 months. An appliance that gets used maybe 3 times a week and cost over 550.00 plus tax, however they did offer a extended warranty for an additional cost, Of course. My thoughts about this, I will not pay extended warranty. I will not repair the Samsung dishwasher, since I know it will break again and I will not buy a Samsung product again. Maybe we need to start buying American again (At Least The Name). Lets make sure that the word gets around that Samsung is not what they seem to be. They know that the dishwasher they make have a lots of problems and complaints and they do nothing.

I purchased the new Samsung Waterwall dishwasher (Model dw80h9930US) from HH Gregg this past summer. I almost bought a Bosch but the new features of the Samsung seemed to be a better deal. Besides I already owned a Samsung washer, dryer and refrigerator. After about a month, I noticed the door started popping open during the wash cycle. I would push it back in and it would continue to pop open. I contacted HH Gregg and they informed me I had to contact Samsung. I did and they sent out a repairman who re-positioned the dishwasher and said that was the cause. After he left, I began using it again and the same thing started to happen, the door popped open during a wash cycle. I called them back again and they sent out the same technicians who fiddled with the baskets and thought that the top basket was pushing open the door during the cycle. They wanted to order a new basket for me. In the meantime, I was running the dishwasher and continually pushing in the door when it popped out until one evening, the unit beeped and the code LE appeared. This code was for Leakage and the manual instructed me to turn off my breaker to the dishwasher and call Samsung. Now I was not only without a dishwasher but my disposal was connected to that breaker. I called Samsung and demanded a new unit but they insisted on sending out the technicians again. At this point I had it with Samsung and decided to call HH Gregg. I explained to them my dilemma and they have graciously offered to replace my Samsung with a Bosch. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and will never forget the service I got from HH Gregg. They also were aware of the problems with the Samsung and were willing to help their customers get a dishwasher that works. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

I have the same thing that happened to other Samsung owners in the reviews. We bought a Samsung dishwasher a year ago at Home Depot. As soon as it was hooked up, it wouldnt work. Samsung called in a repairman and he said it was fixed. But dishwasher comes on automatically on the heavy cycle and does a dry run but doesnt shut off. Called in another repair man for the same problem and he said this is happening a lot. He put on three new parts. Washer worked for five days. Woke up one night and heavy load running on a dry cycle again with no load of dishes inside, always have to turn off breaker. Have to call repair man in again. Called Samsung number and always put in hold. This time for over 45 minutes until a guy told me that not many workers there on Friday afternoon. If they have that many complaints coming in, then must be something wrong with the company. I would suggest before you buy, call any appliance call the companys 800 number. If put on hold for a long time, dont buy that appliance. What do I want... A new dishwasher and cost to install and a staff available to customers to listen To all of us with complaints. If I bought a new car and it broke it would be fixed. If I buy a new appliance and it doesnt work as soon as I buy it... Well what would be a reasonable answer? Please need help!

DW80F600UTS/AS - Worst consumer experience in my life. Unit failed last month of warranty. Door latch defective, sensor controlling cycles defective. Did not go through cycle, dishes dirty and not dry. 3 visits from authorized repair, 2 after warranty expired. Repairman installed new improved sensor. Finally agreed to refund, but now claimed unit had to be depreciated. Then came the totally outrageous part: to get refund, consumer must cut power cord purchased separately with the unit (no refund for that), take a picture of cut cord. Then, consumer must remove decal attached to door, affix it to refund request, and send it to company. Decal could not be removed - took a photo of it next to cord. Not enough! Told to use a straight razor, no exceptions! It still doesnt come off. Imagine giving this advice to an 80 year old with a tremor? This company needs a major overhaul. Policies designed for maximum profit and will not honor warranty for defective product.

I am responding to a 12/28/2013 customers input and what he did to service his Samsung Dishwasher. I found his input very useful info as it gave me the confidence to pursue tackling the problem myself. I found the rubber check valve that he mentioned. I did not notice that it was stuck open, but I am assuming it might have been. On my model, DMT800RHS, the valve looks to be removable and replaceable. I did not try to remove it, but I did try to clean the surface with my finger. I also took the opportunity to clean my dishwasher parts thoroughly. There are several areas that trap food particles and eventually the food rots and smells. I will make that regular task from now on as eating food cleaned from an unclean device is as bad as taking a shower in a moldy shower stall... maybe worse. I hope this helps other people out there dealing with this problem.

Own a French door Samsung Fridge and water accumulates and freezes at bottom of fridge. Have to empty the fridge, take back panel out and thaw out drain line which will probably freeze again shortly. Sears, where the fridge was bought, claim to have never heard of problem however internet is full of complaints and there are several Youtube videos in how to fix problem. Had issues with brand new unlocked Samsung phone and after spending hours writing Emails and calling service center went out and bought Motorola phone. Samsung service is pathetic and will NEVER buy another Samsung product as long as I live. I have since bought a TV, a tablet, two phones, a dishwasher, washer and dryer all brands other than Samsung. How a company can be so arrogant and probably successful is beyond me. I asked clerk to speak to a superior and she said that she did not report to anyone and was given email for headquarters. Receive same form email back, total waste of time. Spent two hours to repair fridge, threw out food and if it freezes again I will cut my losses and buy a new one (this one was $2K).

Run the dishwasher with bleach, then run it again with dishwasher detergent, without dishes. I thought it wouldnt happen again but it did. So disappointed in this dishwasher. We purchased extended warranty and have had to use the services on most of them. We have now had to change to a different manufacturer of dishwasher that the warranty has just ended. Now the fridge door needs to be replaced as the lower shelf mount has broken and the mount is part of the entire door which has all the electronics integrated. Upon moving into a new home, I purchased a 4-drawer Samsung refrigerator. Its beautiful and has a lot of cool features, but within 6 months the ice maker was frozen over. I contacted Samsung and they sent a repair person (theres only one in my area). He walked in and without even touching the refrigerator indicated that he could replace the parts, but Samsung hadnt done anything to truly fix the issues, so it would break in another 6 months. It didnt last that long! Within the next 8 months, it would break 3 more times. They finally agreed to replace it after the repair person refused the job the final time. They led me through a long process of providing documentation and then indicated that they couldnt find a replacement (even though they are in all of the big box stores near me), so they offered me a refund. I accepted it and they led me on an even longer documentation process -- requested paperwork piece-by-piece (first the bill of sale, then a picture of the warranty information, then a scan of the sticker on the inside of the door...), indicate they didnt receive what Id sent and ask for it to be sent again; send the wrong form and after I call, send me a new form, indicate they didnt receive it and ask for it again... This continued until I wrote an email to the Executive Vice President. I was assigned a designated contact, whose title indicated she was in the Presidents Office, who was no better than their original customer service representatives. She only assisted when I initiated the contact and what was supposed to take 5-7 days, took over 2 weeks. Upon getting my refund approval, my designated contact told that Id receive two emails -- one asking for all of the information (ignore it, she said) and a second that would request my bank information to get a direct deposit. Amazingly, Id receive the first email repeatedly, but never get the second one. I now have to wait for a check to be cut. I have already been in the process for two months and am now told that it will be an additional 2 weeks to get a check. As the check is too large to put through my banks app, I will have to drive over an hour to the nearest branch. At the time Im writing this, Florida has just entered a 30-day stay-at-home order; therefore, I will be unable to deposit it for a lengthy time. Buyer beware! While Samsung appliances look pretty (my dishwasher is also a disappointment!), they are poorly made and their warranty is painful and designed to discourage you from using it.
