Manufacturer: Samsung
MODEL: WF45R6300AW
MSRP: $728.60 USD
Samsung Washer Model WF45R6300AW Error Codes
CODE: LO or FL
PROBLEM: Door lock error
FIX: Check the wiring connections to the door lock/switch, and tighten if needed. Forcing the door open might damage the door lock / switch, which is often made of plastic. However, it is simple to replace and much less expensive than calling a technician.
CODE: ds
PROBLEM: Door is not locked
FIX: If the washer won't start, the ds code might appear, signaling that the washer door is open and the lock is malfunctioning. Use the diagnostic test mode to check the door lock / switch assembly. If that shows the lock is defective, replace it.
CODE: dc
PROBLEM: Unbalanced load
FIX: The dc code means the load has been detected as unbalanced during the final spin. Cancel the cycle, or just let it end. Redistribute the load, and re spin.
CODE: Sud (F70)
PROBLEM: Too many suds
FIX: Allow the suds to settle, and move to the spin cycle. Rewash the clothes using no detergent, and then clean your washer.
CODE: lE
PROBLEM: Water level sensor failure
FIX: First, unplug the washer, and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the main control board. If the IE code still appears after plugging the washer back in, the water level pressure sensor should be replaced.
CODE: nF
PROBLEM: Water fill problem
FIX: Check that the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open and kink free. The lines can also freeze if the washer is exposed to low temperatures. The code might also appear if the water inlet fill valves are defective and need replacement.
CODE: LE
PROBLEM: Low water level during cycles
FIX: Water level drops can be caused by leaks in the washer tub or an improperly installed drain line, which can siphon water out of the washer. Reinstall the drain line, and try filling again.
CODE: OE
PROBLEM: Overflow or too high water levels
FIX: A washer that is overfilled is usually caused by water inlet valves that are not shutting off the water flow properly. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.
CODE: nF1
PROBLEM: Hot and cold water lines are reversed
FIX: Connect the hot and cold water fill hoses correctly on the back of the washer.
CODE: tE
PROBLEM: Water temperature is either too high or too low
FIX: Run the diagnostic test mode to check the water temperature that the control board is sensing. If the actual temperature is significantly different, the temperature sensor or thermistor should be replaced.
CODE: nd
PROBLEM: Water will not drain
FIX: If the washer fails to drain within fifteen minutes, check the washer drain filter and drain hose for a clog or restriction. If the drain pump is defective or damaged, replace it.
CODE: E2
PROBLEM: Stuck key on control board
FIX: Try to free the key by gentle force. If you can't free the key, replace the user interface control board (also called the sub PCB control board).
CODE: 3E
PROBLEM: No signal from the drive motor tachometer
FIX: Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections on the drive motor and the electronic control board. If the wiring connections are sound, the drive motor or the tachometer usually needs to be replaced.
CODE: 2E
PROBLEM: Internal control board failure
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.
CODE: AE
PROBLEM: Communication error between the main PCB and sub PCB in the control panel
FIX: Check the wire harness connections between the PCB control boards in the control panel. If the wiring connections are sound, replace one or both of the control boards.
CODE: SF
PROBLEM: Main PCB error
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.
CODE: Hr
PROBLEM: Heater relay failure
FIX: The heater relay is a component on the main PCB control board. Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the main PCB control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the main PCB control board.

Samsung Washer Model WF45R6300AW
I purchased this model in May of 2016. For the past 6 months it randomly works. The screen flashes 777s sometimes, sometimes nothing at all and currently has completely stopped working altogether and the screen shows C-FO. It was an expensive microwave purchased with 2 other black stainless Samsung products, one being a $2500 refrigerator that has quit producing ice. Ive contacted Samsung and they will not stand behind their products. Very dissatisfied and will never recommend any of their products.
I purchased a Samsung Conventional Oven from Best Buy in August 2011. The stove worked great until now. I was preheating the oven to bake lasagna and could smell burning plastic. I looked in the oven to make sure there was nothing burning inside and there was nothing. As I closed the door and stepped back, sparks started shooting out of the stove top and smoke was everywhere. I had my two month old son and my three dogs with me in the kitchen. Luckily none of them were injured. The ash from the blowout was all over my kitchen. The breaker blew (thank god) and I immediately unplugged the stove. I could not see an obvious signs of a problem until I really looked at the back of the stove. Where the plug is connected was covered in black ash. I removed the panel to find that the area where the plug connects was completely melted.I have had this stove for almost four years now. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED!! Im still scared to death that this could have caused a house fire or an injury to my son, myself or my dogs. I will be contacting Samsung to see what can be done. I have read horror stories about their customer support but I have my receipt and pictures to back me. This is UNACCEPTABLE!
SMH9187ST Above Range Microwave - I purchased it new in October 2010. The microwave suddenly quit working in March 2013. No power at all. Nothing on the display will light up. I called Samsung customer service and there is no recall on this microwave at this time. They only offered to find me a Samsung authorized service technician at my cost. Ha! It seems like 2 years is the normal lifespan of this microwave. Dont buy. Its a waste of money.
We bought a Samsung dishwasher less than 2 years ago and it just stopped working. Samsung sent someone out to look at it and he told us it would be $600 to fix it and we would be better off buying a new one. He also charged us $99 to tell us that. When I called Samsung to try and get some money back, anything, they did nothing. You would think if you pay the prices they charge for their appliances they would work for more than 2 years. I had a GE for 23 years without ever having to have a service call. I wont be buying Samsung anymore.
Bought a Samsung french door refrigerator from Home Depot in Sept 2014, model RF263BEAESR. Ice maker promptly froze over and ice making stopped. Customer service told us to turn off the ice maker, let it defrost and it would start working. This was true but then it froze over again, and again. In Jan 2015, Samsung authorized repair service, Charika Appliance Repair of Inverness, FL came out to install a new ice maker unit. They punctured the sealed coolant system and the refrigerator stopped working!! Samsung offered to exchange the broken refrigerator with the same model or a refund. On Jan 10, 2015, I emailed Samsung the Home Depot invoice and register receipt, and on Jan 11th a list of spoiled food. We were told that a refund was in process and we would be contacted within 24-48 hours by the refund department. Today, Jan 20th, I called for a refund status and they had not started it yet. They DO NOT refund the $105 sales tax we paid, even though the Home Depot receipt says FULL REFUND. They also DO NOT refund over $250 for spoiled food. BEWARE OF SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS!!! They are a piece of GARBAGE. Their customer service department is terrible.
Horrible service. We had a technician come to fix issues over 3 times. Everything is falling apart. (Fridge is less than 5 years old.) It makes lots of noise, ice maker freezes up, we had water leakage and the list goes on.
I purchased side-by-side model #RS263TDWP/XAA01 in July of 2013 for $1379 from Sears. We have been quite happy with it until recently when the upper shelves were not getting cold (70 degree temp reading; the bottom at 46-55 degrees). There was some recent unusual noises in the fridge prior but subsided; phone tech suggested leveling but it is level. The doors close and are aligned properly. That was not the problem.Tech was sent to service the refrigerator and after electronically testing the unit announced it was the defrost sensor that was out (DA32-00006W). Obviously we had to replace- BUT NOT COVERED!!! The 5 year warranty is on the sealed refrigeration unit only not including the electronics needed to operate. REALLY!!?? Samsung is an electronic based company and this happens? After 1.5 years, an electronic part goes out and I have to pay for this $28 part and $220 labor!!? And to make matters worse, the tech advised this part will last longer than the original one that was installed planned obsolescence?! How long is this part going to last? I have a 20 year old Kenmore that has never had a service call!I have purchased smaller Samsung electronics with no issues but really am concerned about this appliance and any other major appliance that I will be in the market for in the future. After 3 emails explaining this situation, I recd a Thank You and Hope we helped...no help only offers of future advertisements. After 40 minutes holding on the phone, did talk to a nice agent who noted my frustrations...only to recv another email the next day - that it is not covered. No Samsung appliances for me!
Do not buy any Samsung product in Scarborough, Ontario. If you do, double-check first if they have any service technician in your area. I bought a fridge, model RB194ACRS, and after one year, my fridge stopped working. I called Samsung and they told me that they cannot fix my fridge because they dont have a service technician in our area. Samsung company, if you dont have service in the area, then stop selling your product. AGAIN, DO NOT BUY Samsung products!!!
How can we all have the same terrible experience and nothings done about it. Who do we have to complain to, to stop this? Besides not buying another Samsung product, how do we hurt their pockets. This is a rip off, this product isnt even a dishwasher, this is false advertisement.
Worked fine for the first 6 months then had a breakdown. My repairman had to order the part, from the manufacturer. They were out of that part, then when it came in the part was the wrong one. Long story short we did not have a refrigerator for 5 weeks.
The cooling function in the fridge section keeps failing, after two repairs while it was under warranty (which was extremely difficult to get, despite the fact that the fridge maintained 19 degree celsius even when programmed to cool to 1 degree), and multiple repairs after the warranty expired it still will randomly fail. I have done everything advised - I even bought a separate freezer unit because some people suggested the freezer was too full. I keep the fridge minimally packed, but still the fridge refuses to cool. Now it has begun resetting every time the door is open, and sometimes makes a loud grinding noise (we have disabled the ice maker multiple times to try and stop that). Do yourself a favor and do not buy this very expensive fridge. Its garbage.
I bought both appliance about 1 a day half year ago from Home Depot. I found the dishwasher tends to clean dishes well. Started last week, the refrigerator (rf263beaesr) started to have problem - the refrigerator was too cold. I unplugged it and waited for half day, and plugged it back. I found water was leaking from the water filter area. I found the water reservoir was broken. The refrigerator still way too cold, everything was frozen in refrigerator. My impression is that Samsung makes good-looking products, but the quality is really not up to the par. Ill not buy Samsung products for a long time.
I purchased a Samsung fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher, washer, and dryer in Oct. 2015. After 1.5 years I had to have my fridge fixed at my expense. Now today 2018 my dishwasher is not working. Cant get any satisfaction from Samsung. Have to cover the costs myself. So much for being a good customer.
Bought fridge in 2016. Had to replace the first one brought out cause the ice maker didnt work at all. The new one the ice maker has a mind of its own... Leaked water constantly. Got gaskets replaced. Now the fridge freezes my food and I had to throw away about $80 of groceries. The repairman was supposed to come yesterday but never showed up now I have to wait another week. To take a chance of losing more food... That I cant afford. Im elderly and on a fixed income.
This is a follow-up on our Samsung SMH9187 microwave. The repair did in fact happen! They replaced the control panel and, so far, everything is fine. Our persistence paid off, at least this one time. However, my faith in the company is still not revived to the extent that Id buy another of their products.
We purchased a Samsung kitchen bundle (microwave, refrigerator, oven and dishwasher) from Home Depot. A week after installation the microwave caught fire and created a burned hole on the inside of the microwave. Contacted Samsung and have been spinning for 2 weeks now as they will not replace this unit, only repair it. At this point we paid for a BRAND NEW unit, 2 weeks ago, and we have zero confidence in the reliability and safety of this unit being repaired. Samsung has been very unresponsive to our request. Cannot believe that big corporations can treat people in this way. Taking our hard earned money and not replacing like for like.
This appliance (Over the Range 2.1 Cu.Ft. Microwave Oven) was bought in April, 2016 for $500.00. In April, 2018 the vent began turning itself when no one was using the oven & ion. August 13th a fire had just started while I was asleep. Luckily I woke up & was able to unplug the oven. 8/14/16 I contacted Samsung. I was hung up on or suddenly disconnected a few times but was finally given a repair ticket. A repair shop called on 8/16 and told my husband that he had to take the microwave off its mount by 8/20 because they were coming. Although Samsung was paying them they could only come at one particular time on 8/20 and would not reschedule. Also they refused to come unless the microwave was unmounted. Two people have to unmount the microwave so we had to arrange help or that was it! I called Samsung right afterward and they said the ticket was canceled. From then on we got the runaround and the gist of it was that wed have to pay $200.00 or the cost of a repair, not having any idea whether or not it could be repaired.
All I can say is that I wish I had read reviews on Samsung refrigerators before I purchased mine. Ive owned Samsung TVs and smart phones that are all exceptional and I thought the same would be true with Samsung appliances but I was dead wrong. Brand new refrigerator model # RF263BEAESG - only 6 months old - started leaking water out of the left side top where electrical wires are coming out of the top of refrigerator. Contacted Samsung. They created a repair ticket. After five days and no one showed up I called the service company only to go to voice mail. Call Samsung back and they give the service ticket to another service company... same thing 2nd time - service company wouldnt come to my house. After three weeks into the ordeal, Samsung said they would refund the purchase price of my refrigerator. To get my money back I had to provide the original sales receipt, sign a contract saying I would dispose of the old refrigerator and not continue to use it, send the labels inside the refrigerator to Samsung showing model & serial # and cut the electrical cord. After complying with Samsungs request I then get an email two weeks later saying they dont have the serial # and we cannot move forward even though they had the serial # from my initial call for service. After several days of fighting this battle I get a call from Samsung saying they found the serial # but before they can process the claim now I need to go out and purchase a new refrigerator and show them the receipt for the new purchase. In addition, I need to show them a receipt from a haul away company that disposed of my refrigerator with the leaking ice maker.Refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot. I have contacted the manager of the particular Home Depot store but so far they havent offered much help. I Home Depot manager that given my experience and experiences Ive read about from other consumers that if I were him I will completely discontinue selling Samsung appliances. Ive owned many appliances over my 72 year life span and NEVER have I EVER experienced such an horrific experience. Given the runaround Ive received from Samsung I doubt very seriously Ill ever receive a refund for my refrigerator. Stay away from Samsung appliances, particularly their refrigerators.
Samsung microwave hood combo ME21706MQS/AC. Purchased an entire kitchen package from Sears Nov 2015 which included a Samsung microwave oven. We are a retired couple so use microwave to heat food and drinks. The microwave would not heat August 2017. Contacted Sears who sent a repairman. Estimate is to replace magnetron $133.96; diode $9.99; transformer $143.46 LABOUR $189.00. Total is $476.41 and I paid $599.99 plus get for the oven. Repairman recommended not to repair as it would not work in less than a year! In other words a piece of crap! I took out the 3 year no interest from Sears so I still have over a year to pay for this piece of crap. Samsung or Sears would not help.
I purchased a Samsung 4 door french door refrigerator. I had trouble with the ice maker freezing up. Called for service and they replaced the ice maker. Still freezes up. Even the repairman says the ice makers suck. No problem with anything else.
We remodeled our kitchen and purchased the FE710DRS Stainless Steel Flexible Dual Convection Smooth-Top Electric Range in September 2011. This week as I was preheating the oven, the wiring caught fire. It was really frightening. Filled our downstairs with black smoke and left an awful smell. Hoping that Samsung will respond positively since we paid $1300 and its only 4 years old. Will update.
Samsung Dishwasher Model #DMR 78AHS - I have only had this product 18 months and have had to replace the upper washing rack brackets twice. Once by home in-service repair, which was covered under warranty and then again by myself, which cost me $35 to repair. This is clearly a design flaw issue where the small plastic holders on the bracket break off and can potentially get inside the unit and cause it to make a grinding sound, which is unpleasant when you are expecting a quiet product. This is what happened to me. I have spoken to Samsung personnel and J & J International (supply part company) about the product flaw and neither company will admit there is a problem or provide reimbursement. Both keep referring me back to the other one. I have also sent e-mails to the CEO and Consumer Voice.
I bought a beautiful Samsung refrigerator in July. It has water/ice on the door and a second climate drawer. Laid out perfectly - plenty of storage. In August, we noticed it was leaking water under the filter so we replaced the filter and it didnt improve. We turned off the water to the fridge and the leak continued. We called a repairman, through Samsung, and waited a couple of days for him to come. He diagnosed a broken valve and had to order a replacement part that he thought would take 8-10 days. When I hadnt heard back in 3 weeks, I called the repair company and they said the part was back ordered. They suggested I contact Samsung to get an estimated delivery time. Thus began 6 weeks of me contacting Samsung, spending hours on the phone, asking the same question, repeating the same story to every person I spoke with. Finally, I could stand it no longer and begged to be escalated. I finally found out there was no estimated time - no one knew if this part would ever be available. In the meantime, I have to daily mop up the water that comes out and floods under the produce bins; the second drawer is not usable because the water fills it and freezes. It ruins any food packaging. The water also spills out the drawers onto the floors and my hardwood floors are now damaged. I was escalated to Jaz. What a disappointment. She ignored my calls for days and only finally tried to speak with me when I hit 0 from her voice mail and begged another rep to help me. This lady definitely needs additional training in handling angry customers. She ultimately offered to swap the fridge, a frustrating process because we have a small opening and in your newer model of this fridge, youve added side vents that arent included in the specs and wont fit the opening. We finally came to a solution on October 31 and she 100% guaranteed that the new fridge would arrive on November 14 at the latest. On November 17th, I called at the end of the day to say I still hadnt received the fridge, not that I was surprised at this point. She committed to getting back to me once she found out where it was. She left me a message at noon the following day to say that the fridge was with a local delivery company and she would call back when she had a time estimate. I called again today, November 19, and left another message. Its been almost 3 months since I could use my fridge properly. I still have to mop up the leaking water and theres a whole section of the fridge I cant even put food in, not to mention no ice or water. She did offer me $150 as repayment for food spoilage, but I have not seen hide nor hair of that either. This is the WORST experience Ive ever had with an electronics manufacturer and I still have no idea when it will be resolved.
The fridge model no: SR-688EV with serial no: **** has sensor that is beeping even when the fridge is closed and the fan is not working. The freezer compartment is working well and only the fridge compartment does not work well.
I have Samsung side-by-side refrigerator model RS267LASH/XAA bought in March 4th, 2006. A few days ago, its fridge side stopped cooling and all the food inside went bad. Now the fan on the fridge side is noisy. The noise stops as soon as I open the fridge side door. There is no cooling on the fridge side. When I investigated this issue, it seems like this is a very common issue with Samsung refrigerators. This is a just a six years old refrigerator and I always clean it every month. Never in my life had I any problems with the refrigerators I used. I have found out that Samsung people know about this problem, but they wont fix it. I have to pay for it as the warranty is over.
Nov. 2009 we bought a new fridge. After 2 days the water quit dispensing. The fridge was replaced. 2 days later the new fridge wouldnt dispense water. Next tech put in a heater to keep the reservoir for the water from freezing. Next the space saver ice maker quit. It got replaced. Next event was the control panel went out. It was replaced Sept. 2012. Now Jan. 2015 the control panel is out again. Weve called several service companies, including Sears Blue Crew, but no one services our area; they used to. This fridge has had service every year. Now out of warranty Samsung says they cant do anything to help us, not even find us service for the fridge. I know well never, ever, buy one of Samsungs appliances again.
I purchased a Samsung RF217ACRS/XAA refrigerator from Home Depot a year ago. Just before the warranty ran out, I contacted Samsung service for a repair. The evaporator coils were over icing and the drain failed causing water to run into and under the chiller drawer. This is the 3 door model with the freezer in the bottom. Request for service initiated on 9/28/2015 and this is 10/9/2015 with no service scheduled. Multiple telephone calls to Samsung service and to Home Depot. Warranty expired on 10/4/2015. All is documented.
Our Samsung RF26HFENDSR/AA French door with lower pull out freezer has repeatedly iced up around the fan, the coil and the vegetable/fruit drawers. I have replaced the tab that keeps the drain for the coil from freezing up and ensured that the drains were patent. I also checked to see that the fan was working...But it froze up again within two weeks. On review of literature, it may be that the heater is shot. There have been so many issues with this online, it would appear that this is a major design flaw. Samsung should address this and help the public out.. Trying to get help online from Samsung is very poor. I have multiple Samsung appliances, phones, watches, etc and if this is the way they are dealing with the public, they have lost me as a customer!
I bought new Samsung appliances one and a half years ago. They are now out of their one year warranty. My refrigerator started making a loud noise about three weeks ago. I could not get a repair until three weeks later. $239.00 dollar repair because the unit froze up. Samsung would not do anything about it. I expect to service my car after it is that old but not my refrigerator. And there is no guarantee that it wont do it again. Also our new Samsung washer already has a broken piece on it. Poor design. I stand behind my work when I build someone a kitchen and I think Samsung should do the same. I would not recommend their products to any of my clients or anyone for that matter. Why is it you always have these problems with larger corporations?
We bought a Samsung Model No. RF263BEASER 25.6 Cu. Ft. Refrigerator from Best Buy in Denver area in June 2013. The ice maker was OK initially but started giving trouble later. In Dec 2014, we had to call the Samsung repair service company (A & E Factory Service Thornton, CO) to make the ice maker work. The service company told us the Ice maker needed to be replaced. It is costing me $466 to get a new ice maker installed. This has never happened to me before with a refrigerator. I think the quality of the refrigerator is inferior and I will not recommend it at all.
While Samsung has become reliable in their TV and cellphone line, much improvements in quality are desired in their appliance line. A Samsung dryer - a recent model that I got, broke down within 1.5 years and their paid service appointment was more than a week wait, leaving the appliance downtown for the consumer. Samsung fridge that I bought had numerous issues including, water leaks that damaged wooden floor, fan not turning, icing in fridge section, sensors needing replacement and such, over the years of its use.Irony is that while these appliances are styled well with their electronics and such, underlying functional quality of their latest appliances as well was seen driven by relative poor quality components that will guarantee repairs past their warranty period. The feedback to the quality department is simple - learn from quality of LG and improve component quality to enhance on the on the functional reliability for the appliance to function trouble free for about 5 years at the minimum. Short of that, itll leave a bad taste in customer use, forcing them to look at brands with better quality.
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator from Sears 15 months ago. It was the French Door Model # RF31FMESBSR/AA, thinking it was top of the line since it cost $3,000. It is the worst refrigerator ever. The ice maker stopped working after 1 year. The plastic bins are all cracking from holding 1/2 gallon of milk & a few condiments. Samsung does NOTHING to help since the refrigerator starts falling apart just after 1 year. Ive had a GE Profile last 19 years and a Frigidaire last 10 years & still going strong. Samsung charges $160 plus $66 to ship plastic bins that should last more than 15 months. Overpaid to repair the ice maker $200 & now am paying $226 for the bins. The handle on the deli drawer is hanging & they want me to buy a whole new deli drawer. It is the worst customer service, the worst refrigerator, and extremely overpriced.
Samsung Model RFG297HDWP/XAA. The unit is a three door bottom freezer I purchased in November of 2013 from Sears. I had the ice maker repaired once and then replaced. It is Junk and a terrible flaw in design. In addition the Fridge has shut down at least Three times for no apparent reason. I came home one evening and opened the door to find the lights working but it seemed warm. I have two thermometers installed which showed the interior temp at 60 degrees. I opened the freezer drawer and that was also not cold. I hit the Digital display and it showed the set point at 36 and after a few seconds flashed the actual reading of 60 degrees - Freezer flashed a reading of 30 degrees. I called Samsung tech support and did what they asked me to do. I unplugged it for over a minute. Plugged it back in. Nothing. I put it in power cool mode. Nothing. After around 30 minutes I heard the compressor kick in. Amazing. This has happened three times that I know of... I was gone for three months last summer. Who knows?? I had purchased the master Protection Agreement from Sears, Thank God. A service Tech came out and just so he didnt think I was crazy. I took a video of the digital displayed temperature readings. He was here for more than two hours, ordered several boards and said to call when the boards arrived. They arrived and I called and a different Service Tech came out and tried to install the boards only to tell me they were the wrong parts and he didnt think the fridge needed both boards anyway. I told him That I would rather he change out both than take a chance and that maybe Sears should communicate with the first tech on this issue of what boards need to be replaced. I am not confident that this will solve the problem. It is a Manufacturing defect and Samsung should be held liable.Updated on 10/31/2016: I just had the fridge repaired on October 19, 2016. The fridge would shut down randomly for no apparent reason. The Sears tech diagnosed and ordered two new circuit boards. Eleven days later the problem came back. This time it is tripping the circuit breaker when shutting down. The one thing that is different now is the motor or fan is constantly running for hours and hours before the shutdown and the tripped breaker. I called Samsung and they are of no help. When will they help us consumers who are stuck with lemons that have cost them over two thousand dollars.
Samsung knows their refrigerators have a defective ice maker design causing them to freeze over and stop working. Theyve refused to rectify this. Additionally Samsung refrigerators only keep food cold if they are filled to only 2/3 capacity. They know this defect and continue to manufacture them. I will never own another Samsung refrigerator.
We have had our French door, bottom freezer refrigerator for about 4 years. The ice maker has never worked more than a few weeks at a time (I have to use a blow dryer to melt the ice build up to get it working again). Finally called Samsung for service. Repairman said Samsung should cover the cost because it is so widespread (class action lawsuit pending). I called to ask, Customer service agent said he had no record of there being being problems with their ice makers. We will NOT buy any Samsung product again. Less about the cost, which isnt small, but companys lack of concern or integrity.
Same continuous issue with our Samsung refrigerator model RF28HMEDBWW. At least 3 service calls (maybe more) and now we have been waiting for 3 weeks to get the ice maker part replaced. Ice maker continuously freezes up and wont dispense ice... frustrating! Customer service is terrible. No one calls back from the service company or the warranty company to let us know the status. Waiting now to see if the part can even be ordered... maybe not available any longer, not sure. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. Well see what happens. I do not recommend this refrigerator.
Ill never buy a Samsung appliance again. The store warned us about the refrigerators and other big appliances but we thought a microwave should be safe. WAS WE WRONG!!! We have called them several times and no one seems to be able to fix our problem or even show up. Never again.
My refrigerator stopped working 10 back. The incompetent engineers could not replace compressor which is under warranty past 10 days. They recorded computer systems with lies to fool the system to avoid create alert on incomplete service request. In my case they falsely written that the refrigerator is repaired as the information is not accessible to customer and however repeated inquiry revealed the secret of their mischief. I am still struggling to get the refrigerator repaired or replaced. You know without refrigerator you cant keep vegetables milk out for 10 days. Beware of Samsung refrigerator and avoid future disappointment. Hopefully it would help at least one more customer that could be you. God bless customer from Samsung.
I have experienced the same complaint everyone who owns a Samsung microwave seems to have - the SE error code. I contacted Samsung and it took four chat sessions and an angry phone call to have a service person come out. I was told the control panel would be replaced, no charge on epidemic warranty; servicing agency knows nothing about it. I was told I would have to pay for the control box if it needs replacement. It seems like Samsung is well aware of this major problem, but has chosen to do nothing until your unit fails - and it will. Then they horse you around for days to get it serviced. I have lots of Samsung products with no problems, but this microwave has totally destroyed my Samsung vision. It is just an out and out piece of crap. The ventilation system sucks, which I believe is the cause of the SE code because moisture builds up in the control panel. If I have to replace, I guarantee it will not be with another Samsung.
Purchased bottom freezer refrigerator model RF260BEA and 15 months later the freezer stopped working. The service dept set an appt. for me 10 days later. Since it is 3 months out of warranty they will charge $95. When I asked who would be responsible for the $500 of food that will be spoiled in 10 days, they said it was my problem! I have owned 5 refrigerators and never had any problems with them in over 15 years! Tried to complain directly to the company thru computer but no type of communications was available. Very disappointed with the quality of their product and will never buy a Samsung product again. Their service contacts were not at all interested in my problem and their factory service dept response time is not available in a timely manner!
I love all Samsung products. My dishwasher is no exception. Very good performance and cleaning. It also looks good. It is quiet and cleans deep without a lot of pre-washing.
I purchased a refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. Its taken me 2 weeks to try to register for the 1 year warranty. They make it very difficult to register so they dont have to warranty your product. Read reviews of their appliances and youll know why. I tried to get verification that my range and microwave were warranted because initially they said I didnt have the receipt. The stove, frig & dishwasher were on the SAME receipt. The microwave was ordered online and they keep asking for the store location. If you go on their website, they make it very difficult to try to talk to someone about your warranty which is a clue they dont really want to warranty their appliances. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG.
Do not waste your money on this piece of garbage. Not even 4 months old and I currently have a broken refrigerator that wont cool above 50 degrees. I have been told that the motherboard needs to be replaced. The fridge will not cool anymore. Go online and you will see that this is a very common problem and I guess Samsung does not care. Samsung is not standing behind their product but the local repair shops are being kept busy!
If you are considering purchasing a Samsung dishwasher, DONT. If you spend a penny on a Samsung dishwasher, its a penny too much, you might as well throw that money in the garbage. I am pro Samsung for many things, we own several Samsung TVs, phones, washer, dryer, fridge, stove, microwave, DVD players and I am happy with every one of those products, but the dishwasher is another story. The racking system is horrible, so your dishes dont fit properly, they dont stay in place. We have tried every possible layout and nothing works good. No exaggerating, 90% of the dishes come out dirty, especially the top rack items. Drinking glasses, coffee mugs, etc NEVER EVER come out clean. They always have crumb like substances dried into them, requiring us to then soak the glasses in the sink for a while to try to loosen the residue enough for me to clean them. And dont waste your time writing their customer services, because its a total waste of your time. And yes, we take very good care of our appliances, and clean out the drain, the sprayer, everything they recommend and it doesnt do a stitch of good. My best advice, go with another brand for a dishwasher.
This dishwasher is awful. It needs to be repaired once a year. It really doesnt wash the dishes very well. You have to wash everything before it goes into the dishwasher. It has many features but it runs way too long (3 hrs.) & you cant turn off the dry cycle. Regular size dishwasher. Its stainless steel & very attractive, but it doesnt wash well so who cares how nice it looks. Fortunately I have an extended warranty. If I didnt, I would have replaced this dishwasher by now.
This was the first time I purchased an appliance online without actually seeing the product. It will also be the last. I was disappointed with the inside organization of this fridge. There could have been much better use of the door spaces. They are underutilized. The size of the auto fill pitcher is deceiving, the freezer is small. I looked at the distentions prior to purchase but they sure do look smaller in person. The size of this refrigerator is larger than the one it replaced but it holds far less because of the design. Very disappointed.
This is by far the worst waste of $849 I have ever spent. Does not clean. Spot weld broke on inner seal which interferes with removing lower dish rack. Constant error codes have to keep unplugging to clear. Dont buy this piece of crap. I would rather flush my 849 down the toilet than buy a Samsung dishwasher. Purchased a new GE today. I am going to use the Samsung for target practice.
Samsung side-by-side refrigerator compressor burnt out only after 7 years. I still have my old refrigerator in my garage that still works after 14 years. I cant believe a cheap refrigerator can last longer than a Samsung refrigerator (it cost me $2,400). I called the service center and they told me that the warranty was only for 5 years. I will never buy Samsung products.
I spent nearly $6,000 on new refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave less than one year ago and also bought the extended warranty. The first dishwasher they delivered did not work at all and they had to bring a new one. The stainless steel refrigerator was replaced twice after several service attempts to fix ice maker that makes only crushed ice. The unit still only makes crushed ice because it is a design flaw and with every glass of cubed ice you get about 30% of crushed ice. I bought the biggest and best unit on the market.. and we are very disappointed.. The wording ice and water rubbed off within the first couple months and was unreadable. Today, I had problems with the microwave. The numbers are beginning to wear off the front panel. When I called Samsung service they indicate that is a cosmetic issue and not covered by the warranty. I would never ever consider buying Samsung appliances for my kitchen.
Purchased Samsung fridge 2013, 3 door. Great unit for the first year. Since then I have to remove the ice maker every 3 months to thaw out and chip the ice off the compartment walls. The ice builds up around the ice maker and eventually blocking the ice from dropping. Ice backs up, freezes together forming an ice rock. Dealer cant help because it is a design flaw and Samsung will not admit it. Slap me if I ever purchase anything made by Samsung.
I bought a Samsung MODEL NUMBER RF 263 BEAEWW about 28 months ago and the ice maker freezes up a lot and I have to get a hairdryer to unfreeze the ice maker every so often. Also, the ice maker makes a lot of noise. I think it has something to do with the tub that the ice falls down in maybe to thin or something because it makes lot of noise when it drops down that bucket. Total Capacity 24.6 cu. ft. Refrigerator Capacity 16.6 cu. ft. Freezer Capacity 8 cu. ft.
On the 28 of September I called Samsung call center to complain from my fridge that is not cooling at all and until now they didnt send anyone to fix it although I kept calling them everyday and the fridge is still under warranty. The call center employees are very incompetent and refuse to transfer me to the maintenance department and also refuse to give me their address.
Samsung dishwasher model dw80h993. This dishwasher is a piece of junk, I have had technician out twice and now I still have problems with the drain and now its out of warranty, bought in Dec. 2014 and the hose is not kinked. I would not recommend anyone purchasing a Samsung dishwasher. I think if a manufacturer claims they have a reliable dishwasher or anything they should back it up with at least a two year warranty. Dissatisfied with Samsung. Will not purchase anything in the future.
Heres the conclusion to my review. The repair tech came to my home today and saw the blinking light on the Samsung refrigerator. He said hed have to look this up online. His response: “Your freezer fan is blocked by ice. It will cost $240.00.” The $110.00 service fee would be waived if I wanted him to remove the ice, but if the sensor was broken, thats $80. And if the fan was also broken, another $80. The warranty for the work was only 90 days. So, I gave him his $110 for wasting my time and sent him on his way, then proceeded to take apart my freezer (unscrewed everything). Once the back panel was removed, it was covered in so much ice I boiled water to melt it and knocked it away from the wires. I checked to make sure my plugs were fitted properly. I took out the fan - it looked fine. 2 hours later, it’s working again; no flashing lights, the freezer and fridge were cold again and all I needed was a Phillips screwdriver. I would recommend trying this first if you have a couple of hours. It will save you time and money.
Ice maker model # DA97 1254OA. Like everyone else’s, this icemaker freezes over and Samsung refuses to repair or recall. Spent hours talking to customer support who was of no help at all and even hung up on me twice. Will never use Samsung again. Would love to participate in class action suit.
There is a severe design flaw in Samsung refrigerators. They freeze up with ice in the back panel every 5-7 months requiring complete removal and 24 hour thawing. Samsung is also unresponsive with no customer service. For a really good view, Google removing the rear panel of a Samsung refrigerator. Then watch the YOUTube video. Then you will know what a disappointment it is to own a $2500 refrigerator that is less than 3 years old.
Pros: Im still not a fan of the look of the four door, but it is practical. The fourth door temp can be adjusted as opposed to leaving it as a freezer. We dont much frozen food so, this is fairly convenient. Cons: Cabinet depth is 24. We paid a lot of extra money for a cabinet depth refrigerator that stick out an extra 4 inches. The ice maker doesnt work well either.
I’ve had my fridge for about 8 years and so far have not had any major problems with the fridge. The only thing that had to be repaired was the ice maker that kept getting jammed. The fridge is a 4 door bottom freezer. It is a large capacity fridge. I have two teenage boys that eat a lot so the fridge is large enough to hold a lot of food and large freezer. I really like the large capacity since that is what I was initially looking for.
I purchased a Samsung kitchen package on 3/27/2014. On 4/5/2015 I put on the self cleaning mode. The oven worked for approx. 30 mins. and the oven shut off and cannot be used. The oven door is locked shut.
RS26STDBP - Ive had this refrigerator 2 years and nothing but problems with the fridge part. Freezer is great, but the fridge keeps frosting up and stops the fan and then no cooling. Happened twice and ruined all our food - over $400 in food loss. Ive had repair men come over now three times and same problem keeps coming up?? I bought an extended warranty thank goodness, but this has been a nightmare purchase. Will see what happens with this next repair, but Im sure it will happen again??
I like the way the refrigerator looks, but the icemaker has been a constant headache. It ices up every couple of weeks. My repairman gave me a quote of $700 to replace it. I have to remove the box, get a hairdryer out to melt the accumulated ice dam. My neighbor has the same refrigerator and has the same problem. Ice makers have been around for a long time. I cant figure out why this is such a problem.
I recently had problems with a 5 year old Samsung refrigerator. To my surprise, most repairman refuse to work on Samsung appliances. In fact the first three turned me down and the forth said unfortunately he works on them. After hearing all of them tell me about how bad they are and referred to them as money pits, I decided to cut my losses. I have never run across a product so berated by people in that industry. The sad thing is everyone still pushes them instead of standing up and refusing to sell.
Range NX58H5600SS: Bad experience with this range. I was smelling gas and I call my gas company, I have warranty with them. I was so mad because its been over 3 weeks trying to resolve this problem, I spent like $800 on this range. They told me Samsung dont make this part any long or its on back order. Now I think I have to buy a new stove. I will not be buying this brand. Customer service is horrible. I have this stove less than 2 years. I had another old stove which lasted over 20 years and no problems. I am very frustrated. Why would they discontinue a parts and the stove is still selling in stores.
Bought this dishwasher 7 months ago and began getting error code 5C (clogged drain). I completed the troubleshooting per manual, found no clog, called Samsung for warranty service. One hour and a half wait so I set up call back. Agent called back, said she was not in dishwasher dept. and sent me back to call back and disconnected me. Set up another call back, same thing, since I purchased it from Costco I am returning it and buying a different brand, this is by far the worst service I have ever had...NO MORE SAMSUNG ANYTHING.
Ditto Ditto Ditto to all of the complaints listed below. Why am I having these problems (hammering noise and lot of water) with a $1,600 refrigerator that is 1 1/2 years old? The repair service is scheduled for 5 days out! I was told by a non-affiliated repair man that the engine needs to be replaced. From everyones complaint on this and other websites, at least I am prepared for the worse: AWFUL AWFUL PRODUCT AND SERVICE.
I bought a new refrigerator from Home Depot on June 22, 2016 (receipt attached). It was delivered on July 7, 2016. First the two front doors were not even. After numerous phone calls to home depot and Samsung the problem was partially corrected. After about a week of installation the unit shutdown by itself. Unplugging and re plugging it seemed to fix the problem and it started working again. We were away for a weekend and the unit shutdown and internal fridge and freezer temperature went to 80 F. All the food was spoiled.Again after numerous calls to Samsung and home depot a technician came and said the unit was overheating because of internal leaks of the coolant. He said he was going to report the problem to Samsung and I need to wait for Samsung for their decision if they want to replace the unit or send parts to repair the unit. This was on the 18th of August. We still do not have a resolution to the problem. My calls get transferred from one place to another and dropped many times. Very dissatisfied with their response. I do not have a working refrigerator after spending close to $3000 and both companies do not consider that I deserve a quick resolution to this issue. + I have been without a refrigerator for more than a week now during these hot summer days, but the response from these big companies is very disappointing to say the least.
Samsung Appliances has to be the worst ever made, We have had more problems in one year with our Samsung Refrigerator than we have in the last 30 years with any other brand. Loud Ice makers dont work, freezes over etc.
This is an awesome refrigerator. You have tons of storage space and is well designed to be flexible and easy to adapt to varying needs. The only thing bad about it is the ice/water dispenser. It takes forever for ice to come out and because the tray is so shallow and poorly designed it is constantly getting water all over the floor.
The Samsung is the worst appliance Ive ever purchased. The ice maker freezes up every two weeks and it is a known problem. I reported this problem and was told I would have to spend 485.00 to get it fixed. My fridge is now 2 1/2 years old. Samsung told me they would do nothing to fix the problem even though this a known problem. I would not buy any product from Samsung. Stay away for these products.
Purchased an entire Samsung suite, got the 3 year warranty plan which was good. French Door Refrigerator has had issues 3 times. (1) Freezer door balls fail out. (2) Broad that control temperature stopped working. (3) Temperature sensor stopped working. Lost Food on 2nd and 3 event due to being out of town. In fact I have had issues with the entire suite except the oven.
1st problem: The refrigerator froze in the back and stopped cooling altogether. WE do not have a water attachment to it, thank goodness, because that would probably be even more of a nightmare. 2nd problem: Water leaks right below the vegetable tray. Where the water comes from is unknown. Getting it fixed has been impossible. Samsung does not stand by its products. WE bought this at Home Depot, which offers no support whatsoever. Ive filed a complaint with Home Depot, but no satisfaction. I am sure I will no longer buy anything other than nails and electrical tape at Home Depot from this point forward. Do NOT BUY Samsung. Do not buy major appliances at Home Depot. You will regret it. I have a freezer and an old fridge downstairs that are over 10 years old, not a problem. The Samsung is only 3-4 years old.
Lets start with a Samsung refrigerator, model RF260BEAEBC/AA, that had a failed ice maker in first six weeks. After working with Samsung call center to do troubleshooting, no change. Now with outsourced service company, USSI, who can be reached for updates through a toll number, not even a toll-free 800 number. Company has not vested interest in Samsung product quality, as they service other brands also. We will be without ice maker for nine days before the hoped-for Monday call from service to schedule a service visit. I can tell you, the USSI call center rep was about as cool and indifferent to my problem and the delays as you can get. In the future, will try to stay away from products where company is not fully invested in the warranty and service aspect.
I remodeled my kitchen and bought all new appliances for continuity. Samsung had a special going on with interest free purchase so bought their refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. I am having difficulties with their dishwasher and refrigerator. Lets talk about the dishwasher first (model number DW80J3020US). This dishwasher does not work well at all. I pre-rinse before I load and yet it does not wash dishes clean unless on heavy wash with sanitize option. Even then, sometimes the dishes are not clean. I called Samsung customer service and we did some troubleshooting over the phone. That did not work, so she sent someone to look at the dishwasher. The repair man came. He was super rude and short, he turned it on then turned it off and said nothing is wrong with the dishwasher. I need to buy a different dish washing soap. I told him that the soap would not cause the dishes to have black particles on the dishes also that I pre-rinse. He stated that Samsung only recommends the use of one type of soap. Then he told me that if I call to waste his time again then there would be a charge. My refrigerator (model number RF23HCEDBSR/AA) is only one year old and the ice maker is not working. I called Samsung and the customer service rep. stated that I need adjust the leveling of the fridge and check that my water supply is enough to the fridge. She claimed that the front of the fridge must be higher than the back. I did as she told me yet. NO ICE and the water trickles out. I told her this and she insisted that it is my fault. I asked her to send someone out and she said I would be charged. I WOULD NEVER recommend any of Samsungs products to anyone.
We bought a stainless steel side by side refrigerator in February 2013. In less than a month, we had problems with the ice maker not making ice. They came out and did some type of repair and in another month, we had to call them again. The refrigerator is only 18 months old and should not be having problems at all (We had one that lasted 20 years). We talked to the factory rep via phone and they just basically said, Sorry, but its out of warranty. Too bad. It will be the last Samsung fridge we ever buy. In fact, we will probably junk it and buy an LG which we really do like a lot. Just not right to have unsolved problems and have to pay out of our pockets for the repair.
Purchased RF217ACPN Samsung French Door Refrigerator from Best Buy on July 2011. Nice looking model and would have been great if it lived up to its advertising and promises. Little over a year, then after warranty of course, the refrigerator was not working right. Water accumulated in and under crisper bins. Then eventually loud rotating noise which found out later was the cooling fan. For an energy efficient appliance, I now spend 24 hrs defrosting, packing food in coolers, (still lose some foods) every two months. The WORSE refrigerator ever. I tell anyone I see looking at them in a store and hopefully stop them from wasting money. A class action law suit was filed back in 2011, yet they continue to sell these faulty designed refrigerators ripping off American citizens... Why is this still happening? Samsung has the worse customer service so dont waste your time or phone minutes contacting them. I need a new refrigerator but cant afford it..Thank you Samsung for legally ripping me off. Never again!
Aesthetically the two of the ceramic top stove are eye pleasing. I love the black stainless steel color although it would be nice if both sides of the stove were also steel but they are black and not pretty. I find the top quite difficult to keep shiny and it scratches easily. I love the convenience of having two small ovens that can turn into one large oven if I need it. I find cleaning between the glass of the oven door very cumbersome. I like the way it cooks but I would not purchase this stove again.
Dont buy Samsung fridges. I made a mistake by getting rid of my old fridge (American brand) and buying a Samsung one. Ive been having issues since day one. Now, its been a year and its leaks badly. When I called Samsung they told me I have to pay for their technician to come in. So, my old one worked for 20 years without any issues unlike this garbage that I just finished paying for.
Bought from Lowes on August 2, 2013 (4 months ago). Problems with ice maker from the date of delivery. The entire ice maker assembly has been replaced twice. The freezer door deal once. Within days after replacement/repairs same problem occurs. Either no ice produced or very little over a long period of time. Calling Samsung for repairs is an ordeal. Numerous calls. After taking all the information, they say they will call or email within 3-5 days. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they do not. For example, I called on Tuesday, December 10, 20123. Was given Transaction # and was told my case will be considered for replacement or reimbursement. Again, was told I would either get a call or email within 3-5 days. I waited seven (7) days. Called Samsung. Was told that there was no record of the Transaction # given to me. New one given. Again, I was told that I would get a call or email within 3-5 days. Same thing time and time again. On those occasions when they do call me, I am told that a repair technician will be contacting me to set up an appointment in my home. That takes an additional week or two. By far, this is the worst consumer experience I have ever had in my entire life. Real bad. Getting tired of the lost record excuses, claim that they need more time to review when they have the whole history right before them. I never will buy another Samsung product.
Cost about $2800. Pros: great energy savings, LED light, very well lighted inside and good use of space. Cons: The drawers are not seamless so food, spilled juices, spilled sauces flows into the seams and will NEVER come clean. The glass shelves are not seamless and the same issue with cleaning is the result. The Ice maker worked great for the 1st year after which it continuously leaks water down the front of the door and makes a high pitch whining noise 24/7. Samsung will not warranty the ice maker. The French doors do not open all the way so it is a real struggle pulling out the drawers and shelves. Recommendation: NEVER purchase a Samsung fridge... EVER AGAIN.
Same thing, different person. Fridge Model RF217ACRS, manufactured in 2011. Problem started in 2014. Samsung refuses to pay for repair even though original chat transcript with Samsung Support inferred they will stand behind their product, after creating a ticket for me even though the fridge was out of warranty. Problem Description: Fridge coils freezing up, causing fan to rub on ice making a loud noise. Defrosted it multiple times, problem comes back within a week or 2. A&E Services wanting to charge $361 for the repair of what they claim is a $12 sensor. A&E Factory Services tech also told me that this is the cause of 90% of the problems reported regarding Samsung refrigerators. My guess... A&E and any other Samsung Authorized Service Center is being paid off by Samsung to cover-up the actual fault, which may lie with the evaporator, as if the water is drained/evaporated correctly, should not build up as ice on the coils, in my unprofessional opinion. Keep in mind, the evaporator is covered under the Samsung 5-year warranty, but the $12 sensor is not, and their repair techs will charge you out the *you know what* ($360) to replace it. I will never buy another Samsung device as long as I live, and I will steer all my friends and family away from them.
Samsung RF266 side by side fridge from Sears. The fridge also made a horrible sound in the back of the fridge. The motherboard had to be replaced 3 times. Warranty was over after the 1st panel was replaced. Samsung said theyd cover the parts but we have to pay for the labor to fix something that was already fixed by them under warranty thats broken. Horrible, horrible product. Consumers DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Expect to be ripped off. If anyone is aware of any class action lawsuit please post it for all of us whom spent over 2,000 to buy a crappy product that does not work.
Bought this fridge a little over a year ago. Paid about $2500. Loved the flexzone and 4 doors after have an LG bottom pull drawer type prior that kept coming off track. Unfortunately after about 8 months the ice-maker has done nothing but give us complete fits. Husband has used School of YouTube to repair it at least once every 8 weeks for the past year. Constantly freezes up or just will not make ice at all. Also, drips continually out of the ice chute, leaving scale marks on the door. Sadly, I purchased all matching Samsung black stainless steel appliances so I would want to replace them all. My $1000 Samsung front load washing machine is also a POS, returned once already for defects and the dryer takes 3 cycles to dry fully. Will not be buying Samsung products in the future, nor recommending to others.
This Samsung Range model (NE63T8711SG/AA) was purchased in February. Loaded with features as well as the oven compartment having an air fryer and dehydrator. 3 weeks after we purchased the $2000.00 range my wife decided to use the Air Fryer to make wings. The fan in the oven blew grease all over the oven coating the entire enamel surface with grease and the entire house was engulfed in smoke. Took us three days to clean off the caked on grease. Needless to say we will never use the Air Fry feature again. A few days later we tried to make a spaghetti dish. Not wanting to have caked on mess on the bottom we put aluminum in the oven. The oven melted the aluminum and is fused to the enamel surface of the oven. We have tried everything to get it off. Needless to say after calling Samsung, they will not help us with this issue at all. The Range is only 3 months old and the oven has been used a total of three times and they wont help us. Besides this problem we have found that the burner knobs are so touchy that barely bumping them or leaning against the oven slightly will turn the burners on. The burners protrude past the range. Very dangerous! Beware of this oven!
The refrigerator we purchased 1 yr & 8 mos ago stopped working. After waiting a week and a half for a repair company to come the repair company told us it was too big of a problem for them to fix. They called it a sealed system breakdown. We were sent back to communicating with Samsung. Now every time anything actually happens it’s a Thursday or Friday so the whole weekend goes by with no action. I finally get Samsung to assign us a new repair company that supposedly deals with Sealed Systems. We are given a date three weeks later. I demanded that is too long. I’m told I have to deal with the repair company about the date. I try but they don’t care, they’re just the repair company and I’m not the one paying them so why would they care?! Of course Nothing happens. I finally put my foot down and insist that we get a new fridge. Three more days goes by & Samsung keeps promising me every day that management is going to call me back. Guess what? No one ever calls. Another Friday... Another weekend with no action! Now today a month after this whole thing starts & the fridge stopped working I’m told this morning that Home Depot (our original purchase location) is where we get the replacement fridge from and I have to go through them for delivery date. FOUR phone calls later to Home Depot today and hours later it is determined that Home Depot has nothing to do with it. What a waste of my day! Come to find out the fridge is now in our town but no delivery date is available so I just have to sit and wait. Let’s summarize by saying I will never buy anything from Samsung againWe have since realized that our energy bill spiked at least $50 a month since January and it has now dawned on us that it is because as the fridge got worse and worse & was probably pulling more & more energy trying to stay cold. Between the groceries that we lost, the spike in energy cost and the money spent going out to eat because we haven’t had a fridge for a month Samsung owes us a lot more than a replacement but I will not hold my breath! Unacceptable!!Updated on 07/02/2018: If you read my previous review you saw the horrible experience we had going two months without a refrigerator. When the delivery company eventually showed up with our new refrigerator, just as we feared, they were merely truck drivers and had no expectation of installing the new fridge. As soon as it was brought off the truck we’ve noticed a dent in the front right door. Also as the delivery men brought it into the house they damaged our kitchen wall. Our kitchen is in the midst of being upgraded by us and the new sheetrock had just been taped. When I phoned Samsung to tell them of the damaged wall and the dent in the front of the fridge Samsung informed me that we would have to turn the fridge away and go after the delivery company ourselves for the damage to the wall. I am not shocked by this response from Samsung as they have shown no care for their customer through this entire process. We kept the fridge of course because who would turn away a fridge after two months of been without one?
I purchased a Samsung washing machine and dryer and upon receipt of the appliances the washing machine would not power on so I had to have a service tech come out. Mind you this is brand new. Never ever operated so they had to repair the computer on the washing machine. I asked for a refund immediately or an exchange and they would not honor it so I was stuck with the product. Subsequently maybe a month or so later I had to have a repair on the washing machine drum. The plastic trim on the top that holds it in somehow became chewed up and in disrepair. They came out and repair that. Not much longer afterwards I had the same problem. They came out again and repair that. Weve had a little luck for a year or so but now were faced with the same exact problem again and theyre saying that were out of warranty. Mind you, this is the same exact reoccurring problem. Hopefully they will finally stand by their product and either replace it or give us a refund. My fingers are crossed but at this point I definitely dont recommend any Samsung products and Im sure that Ill never purchase any more myself.
From last Thursday March 23, 2017 our Samsung stove got thermo cracked while doing cooking. Contact customer service. Sent them pictures of cracked glass of stove. Stove is manufactured in May 2016. We bought it few months back. They deny to send any help or tech to take a look. They said is physical damage and they dont cover it. Talked to their supervisor Mike.Updated on 04/05/2017: Talked to their supervisor Mike ** and their executive sale supervisor. Even they suggested us to show stove to their own company tech. And we paid $50 from our pocket. Even their own tech made a decision that it was not physical damage. It was thermo cracked but Samsung supervisor never accepted their own employee results or decision. How could trust on Samsung company when they dont trust or respect their own employee decision. They denied to help us.
Warning! Do not waste your money purchasing this colossal pile of garbage (5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Chef Collection Range NE58H9970WS). It rarely bakes/cooks evenly and it will frequently and rapidly overheat causing your food to burn and ultimately fry the electrical panel. Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. Im going with the latter of the two. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again. If I could give is NEGATIVE STARS I would.
$2900 Samsung french door refrigerator. Ice maker failed a little over a year after we bought it. I would have to remove the ice bin and use a blow dryer to melt ice buildup internally in the back of the freezer for about an hour each month to get the ice maker to make ice. Customer service was no help. Technician said it would cost $500 to fix. Refrigerator stopped cooling after two and one-half years. It would cost nearly $1000 to repair. Replaced it and will never buy another Samsung product.
We use our microwave mostly to warm leftovers or frozen pre-made foods. This microwave works as expected. It’s an over the cooktop model with the exhaust fan built in. I would purchase it again if it quit.
I not only dont recommend this product, but I also would suggest that you avoid Samsung products altogether. We purchased a dryer with matching washer and have had multiple problems with them. After six technician visits we still dont have a fully working washer or dryer and to make things worse they have told us we need to pay if we want another technician visit. I sent the following email to Samsungs supposed executive customer relations department as well as directly to the Samsung US CEO, it was completely ignored by them.Up until just recently I have been a huge fan of Samsung products. I have owned or currently own monitors, mobile phones, washers, dryers, and TVs. I have been a loyal customer but my most recent purchase has me awestruck. About four months ago we purchased a SmartCare VRT laundry set. The day after it was installed we woke to find our home with a strong smell of gas. I determined it was coming from the laundry room and suspected the laundry appliance installation was at fault. We called Samsung for service and a technician was sent out. The technician investigated the gas leak and informed me that the gas lines to our new home were leaking and not one of the Samsung appliances. I called the gas company and when they arrived they found that there was a gas leak, but it wasn’t in the house lines. It was coming from the dryer. We called Samsung a second time. When the technician performed the second appointment he acknowledged that the dryer was leaking and scheduled another appointment to replace the faulty part. Three visits from the Samsung technician and finally we get a working dryer after two weeks. A few months later my wife started complaining about the washer stopping and throwing an error in the middle of hot water loads. After it happened a few times I told her to call Samsung for repair. The technician came out and spent about thirty minutes with the washer. He eventually called me in and told me that it has hot water and that there wasn’t much he could do. I informed the technician that when my wife pointed out the issue I recalled an error message “4C” being displayed when the wash would stop functioning and constantly beep with the error message. After basically living with a washer that won’t use hot water cycles for a couple of weeks my wife noticed that the dryer wasn’t drying clothes normally. We called Samsung again and informed them that our washer was still malfunctioning and now the dryer was not working well either. This time before the appointment I spent a couple of hours recording video on my phone of the 4C error and erratic behavior of the washer. The next day the technician arrived and spent about fifteen minutes with the dryer. The technician informed me that we shouldn’t use specific features (smart features like auto dry) on our dryer and that we should use timed dry. I was told that although the dryer had some warmth that there is heat so the dryer is working fine but at no time did the technician check the temperature with, how does he know if it’s getting up to proper temperature? Yeah, the dryer gets warm but not hot, in fact not even close to hot. When I mentioned the washer and show the technician the video of the malfunction, I was told it wasn’t on the work order and even though we called for service for it and had video of the malfunction that it could not be looked at because it wasn’t on the service order. Tonight, I followed the technician’s instructions and used the time dry to dry a handful of clothes. After one hour the clothes on high heat with eco dry turned off the clothes were still quite wet. The dryer clearly doesn’t work as it did a month ago. The technician also recommended cleaning our ducts but seriously it’s a six-month-old home and my wife does maybe three loads a week for two people, so the equipment is hardly being overworked much less should I have a duct problem. I also noticed that my wife is very good about cleaning the dryer lint catcher. She does it every load from what I see. I hate to ramble on but as you can see this has been nothing less than an adventure and a complete waste of my time not to mention the time off from work involved in six technician visits that didn’t result in our appliances being fixed. I recently posted all this information to the Samsung Facebook page and it was completely ignored for a week which is simply insulting at this point.
The fridge is sold as counter depth but is NOT. The ice maker WILL NOT dispense ice! The shelving and drawers are designed and made in such a way that makes them IMPOSSIBLE to clean and they trap meat juice, spilled whatever, crumbs, etc in crevices that are INACCESSIBLE so you cannot clean them! WORST purchase ever!
I bought this range about 1 year and four months. It just appeared a thermal crack on the glass top. I did not drop anything. I hardly use it, most of the times we eat out. Ive bought the extended warranty and nobody wants to take responsibility. This stove-oven range is extremely difficult to clean. I bought all kind of cleansers but there always are some rusty burn marks around the burners. l had my GE for 17 years and never had any complain. I hate this stove.
Samsung over stove microwave Model # SMH9187W - I noticed yesterday that the control panel was showing SE on the panel. I checked online to troubleshoot this issue and came across this website. I then called Samsung customer service line and only got a # to call service company. I was told Samsung would only pay for panel but not labor of 170.00. SO I did the online chat with an agent and cut and paste many reviews that were shown here. Then I got another phone number and again explained and was then transferred to service and surprise, service person will come and replace my panel 100% FREE OF CHARGE. I was very calm and polite and explained issues are confirmed by at least 200 other owners of this product. I am please with outcome and happy that Samsung realized that customer service is important.
Within two weeks of buying our new home, the brand new Samsung Dishwasher (Model DW80J3020US) malfunctioned when we were not at home, spilling gallons and gallons of water onto the floor. This resulted in our hardwood floors buckling and our master bedroom carpet needing to be removed and our entire house needing to be dried out. Samsung customer service took no responsibility for any of this ---- all they would tell us is the dishwasher was out of warranty. This is the one of the most horrific experiences we have ever had with a product ---- this company should be out of business and their customer service sucks worse than their appliances. I wouldnt even rate them with one star. NO ONE SHOULD BUY ANY SAMSUNG KITCHEN APPLIANCE.
Fire hazard - burners turn on too easily and I have had many fires looking for someone who has started a class action suit. I have melted utensils and ruined pans and anything else that I put on range.
I have had my Samsung range for less than 4 years. The first time I use my broiler for an extended period of time, I receive an error message. I followed the troubleshooting information. I am told it will cost a minimum of $80 for repairs. I was given an account reference number of **, but no support or recommended solution.
I purchased all new appliances for my kitchen about 5 years ago and chose Samsung. That was a huge mistake. I had to replace the microwave after about 3 years. The refrigerator is now the thorn in my side. About every 60 to 90 days I am having to turn it off and completely defrost it due to freezing around the fan. This has been a horrible experience and I will never buy another Samsung appliance. Reading all the reviews online it appears this is a huge problem nationwide. There should be a recall on all of these refrigerators. I am very unhappy customer.
We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator from Home Depot in Feb. 2014. First problem - within weeks of purchase was that the vegetable drawer had no control for air/temp, fresh veggies died quickly, even carrots and root veggies. We bought $100 of special containers to be able to keep food as fresh as the old fridge. Then within the first two months, we began hearing the often-reported fan noise from ice buildup. This got worse over time and I finally called for service, also complaining about the veggie drawer. Prior to that scheduled service being performed, the next issue was the ice maker failing to shut off, even with the door open and jiggling the paddle switch. Another call to Samsung to add the new problem to the fan noise.Service arrived a week later, with a wrong ticket number, no warranty information, and no parts even for the known issue. The tech corrected the paperwork, inspected and ordered parts. Samsungs Andy then called me after the service to see if repairs were completed, and I told them of the problems with the unit, as well as Samsung not providing proper information for the tech so the service was a failure. I was told we could qualify for a buyback, which I said would be taken into consideration, and was there a time limit. I was told no time limit since the service issues were reported within the 1yr warranty period. When the parts arrived, I called Samsung to explain we were seriously considering the buyback, but were in process with the previous service issues, and should I allow the service to take place. I was told to allow the service and did so. The service was performed, both issues I reported separately were handled together on one ticket. The entire back panel housing the fan was iced up, which the tech confirmed is not normal. The ice maker continued to repeatedly dump ice without stopping, jam, freeze up and require removal, thawing and drying, even after the service.By this time we have opted for the buyback, and phoned Samsung to request it. This time I was told by executive customer service member John, that what Andy told me was not how the buyback worked. Buyback could only happen if the unit is deemed non-repairable with three repair attempts. I explained I already made three service calls, had two repairs, as well as complaints on the drawer issue, and other aspects of the design and quality that were proving very annoying. Another service call was scheduled. This time the tech arrived and was briefed on the history and issues, along with our desire to take the buyback. He ordered a new control panel, which arrived and was installed on yet another service call. The new control did not display properly and was defective. It was removed and the old one installed in its place. I immediately called Samsung to complain about their total failure, and was told they did not yet have the service information from the tech, it should be there in a day.I called a week later to inquire on status, and this time was told by exec c.s. rep, Sherry that not only were there not enough service calls and parts replaced to qualify for a buyback, she had no info from the service company on the service. When she said she had to check to see if we were within some 30 day time limit on the buyback, after having specifically asked two exec c.s. people about any time limitation, I was angry to say the least. There were more communications with Samsung on status of the buyback, process, requirements, schedule, and was given different stories and reasons every single time. I called on 11-10-14 to inquire the latest status of the most recent ticket regarding the buyback process, and the exec c.s. rep told me they had only one ticket on their records; I have at least seven ticket numbers for these issues, four of them being the 510-number range generated only at the executive level. When the tech arrived today, 11-12-14 I made it clear that the only resolution is deeming the unit unrepairable. Because one of our reported issued included cracks in the interior refrigerator walls, the tech was able to get a status of nonrepairable from Samsung. In doing so, the tech had to communicate with both his company and Samsung. The first Samsung rep he spoke to was extremely rude, and actually hung up on the tech. The tech called back, reached a supervisor, and with a few more calls finally got the nonrepairable status. Now I am waiting for Samsung to respond. Under California law, we have endured more than enough repair attempts to qualify for the Lemon Law requirement to buyback or replace the unit. Needless to say, for the combination of poor design, poor quality, and downright insulting customer service, there will never be another Samsung product in our home.Other problems with the unit included poor freezer door fit, hung crooked and uneven, gaps between the inner and outer shell where the door seal must fit, may allow warm air in. The tech showed me how the ice dispenser door does not seal properly and is not well insulated, also letting warm air into the freezer compartment.Another little surprise we got, partially because of the imperfect door hanging, is that we didnt get the freezer door shut all the way one night, and I found it in the early morning hours. Cleared out the ice maker so it wouldnt freeze solid, closed the door and left it alone. Checking in the morning, the display showed the set temp standard of -2F and 38F, so I thought all was well. But when I came in for some ice at 2pm and opened the door, the freezer was 58F with ice cream running on the floor. The unit did not reset without unplugging and replugging, a surprise because we had a power outage of several hours some time ago and the unit was fine.So if you are considering Samsung, I suggest not. As a coincidence, as the tech was here today, a friend called and I told him what was going on, beginning to describe the Samsung issues....before I could even get started, he chimed in with the same litany of problems I have experienced with his Samsung refrigerator. The independent service techs were all professional, and were sympathetic to our problems with Samsung. They did what they could to make it possible to allow us to get some resolution. Both techs who visited us multiple times have a very low opinion of Samsung and their products.
I have a less than 2 yr. old Samsung 4-door fridge. Two months after I got it the ice maker started dripping. It took 7 service calls to finally fix it by replacing the fan on the motor. Now it is only cooling to 50 degrees in the fridge part. Freezer is ok. I called Home Depot warranty dept. and they called a TV repair shop (???) to come look at it. The shop told me they wanted to order parts before looking at it. Ten days later they tell me the parts arent all in and they will try to make it out on Mon (this is Fri) if the parts come in. This is so unacceptable! I would think a fridge that cost over $3000 should not be breaking down in the first place. Samsung says since I didnt buy their warranty, tough luck. After reading all of the reviews, I have a really bad feeling about this whole mess. Whatever happened to good service???UPDATED ON 09/24/2015: In my review back in July I reported that my Samsung fridge was not cooling and that I was having difficulty getting someone to repair it. Since then, the TV repair place called and said the compressor was out and they couldnt fix it because it takes R600 refrigerant and they didnt deal with it. Since it was supposedly the compressor, it was covered by Samsung, who sent yet another guy out to look at it; he said it was not the compressor but the computer board, so Samsung wouldnt cover it. After many back and forth calls to Home Depot, they finally sent me a check for the full price of my fridge, plus $300 for lost food. They told me to dispose of the fridge however I wanted to. Long story short, my brother-in-law from Florida, who has done appliance repair for 40 years, came up. Within an hour, he had recharged the compressor with R134 refrigerant and told me it had a very minute leak that wouldnt give me problems for a very long time. That was Aug. 1. The fridge has ran perfectly ever since. Upon returning to FL, he found out that Samsung had, in fact, recalled this fridge on July 1. So, I dont know how long this fix will last, but so far, so good. Anyone else in this situation should press Samsung for a refund. Apparently there is a problem with using R600 in the States, which they should have known before they started selling them here. Guess they figured they could just sell you a new one when this one died. Go figure!
In less than a year, our refrigerator began having problems. The cooling fan begins making a noise as the ice builds up around it until the ice stops the fan from spinning. At this point the fridge stops cooling. The fix involves taking everything out of the fridge, opening up the back, and using a hair dryer to melt the ice. This takes approx 45 min to complete. The ice will continue to build up and the process must be repeated every 2-3 months. In addition, the ice maker is poorly built. The water comes out at a weird angle and most people who use it for the first few times end up hitting the side of their cup and water goes everywhere. The ice also comes out all over the place and misses the cup, ending up all over the floor. The ice maker itself also began to drip water, requiring paper towels set below it that need to be replaced several times a day. Based on a video online I just watch, this may be caused from the seal at the base of the ice maker. I am currently testing out a fix. To top things off, the ice will freeze together inside the ice maker, creating a huge ice dam. Its fun to find out this has happened when you have guests over only to find out you dont have any ice ready for them.Overall, this product is a huge disappointment and I do not recommend a Samsung refrigerator to anyone in the market. If you are reading this you probably have realized how many complaints there are, and they STILL HAVE NOT FIXED THE ISSUES WITH THE NEWER MODELS!!!
