I bought this LG washer/dryer set in 2004 and had only one repair on the washer in 2014. It is till running strong. I am very satisfied with this washer. The dryer is slowing down. I have to dry towels on the highest settings twice. Other than that it dries sufficiently. Would be LG definitely again.

I have a LG top loader. It is by far the worst washing machine that I ever owned. I swear it takes me all day to do a load of wash because the machine goes off balance unless I stand in front of the washer and move the clothes around to balance them. This is no way to do laundry. So so unhappy.

Worst built products ever! I purchased an LG full kitchen package in 2007. I have had issues with the cheaply made parts since day one. The customer service is of no help! I strongly do not recommend LG products to anyone! Between the factory and extended warranty, I have not been able to get any resolution for the replacement of the broken, poorly made parts for my refrigerator and range. Worst made appliances ever!

I bought a very expensive double LG oven. I noticed a few months ago that the enamel was coming off inside the oven. I went and talked to the retailer who sold it to me and they told me I had to contact LG which I did. I sent pictures and never heard back from them. So I contacted them again and was told I had to pay someone to come look at the defective oven. Enamel peeling off the inside of an oven should never happen. This is defective not a problem with a part. I will also say that in the last 4 years I have purchased from LG a double oven, Very expensive refrigerator, microwave oven. Front loading washer & dryer and 2 Smart TVs. Their customer service is so unprofessional and never tried to help me. They have definitely lost this LG customer! I own a business and have been in business for 19 years I would never treat a good customer like I have been treated. Goodbye LG.

TERRIBLE COMPANY. BE AWARE! Technician that came to service my LG washer spend less than 5 minutes at my house. Did not check the washer AT ALL and told me it was the motherboard without any type of diagnostic work. 3 weeks later Im still waiting for service! You call Customer service and they keep switching you from agent to agent after requesting to speak to a manager. I was on hold for an hour! They are extremely rude & basically the worst customer service ever! I want my money back after waiting for almost a month of paying for service (July 7th) & they want to charge $100 for a service call that wasnt! I deserve a FULL REFUND. If I could give them 0 stars I would... DO NOT USE THEM!!

I like the freezer, fridge, multiple shelves, the shelves slide out to be cleaned and so do the drawers. There are four drawers including a cheese drawer specifically. I would put an ice maker in it. Also I would put a smart system into it to tell you when youve left the fridge open or tell you when its not working correctly and I would include freezer trays with purchase and water filter along with a digital thermostat. It has met expectations. I was very happy with value and price overall. This fridge is amazing and meets all my needs and or wants but if I had to choose one additional brand over LG itd be Samsung for sure.

I purchased LG Waveforce Top Loading Washer WT5001cw and Gas Dryer Set on 7/9/11 from Best Buy. I had a little issue of leaking that out of nowhere was resolved. On 10/31/2102, I went to the washer to get my whites out. I couldnt open the washer because it was locked. I pressed the power button & it would not turn on. I pulled out the manual to troubleshoot the issue. There was nothing in the manual to address this issue. I then called LG. I talked to a rep out of a call center in the country of Panama. The person told me to unplug unit for 30 seconds to reset. I did this. That did not work. The person then told me to check the circuit breaker to see if the outlet tripped. I checked the circuit breaker & everything checked out normal. That did not fix issue. They told me to plug it into a different outlet. I did this. That did not fix issue. I told rep that I smelled a burning smell coming from unit. The rep told me to unplug unit. I immediately unplugged unit. Rep stated that since the unit was a bit over warranty, I would have to send my original receipt to them to be approved for an extended warranty. I faxed LG the documents they requested. As we waited days to see if this warranty was going to be approved, on Sunday, 11/4/12, my husband went down to basement to see if washer would turn on. He plugged it back in & smelt a burning smell & saw smoke coming from the back of unit. He took off a small white cover in the back to see what was happening. We found out that the main power source in the washer had caught on fire and this wasnt the first time since 10/31/12. We immediately called LG to report this & they seemed uninterested in helping us. This call center was in Asia. We also took many pictures. This rep told us we needed to contact LG on Monday to find out what to do next. On Monday, we called & talked to a rep in the USA by the name of Adrianne **, a supposed supervisor for LG. She wasnt helpful whatsoever and she was extremely rude. She made us re-fax and email another copy of original sales receipt to call us a few hours later to tell us that we were not approved for the extended warranty. She said her superiors told her that because we took off the back panel, we voided the warranty or any option for an extended. We were like Are you ** kidding us? This was an emergency situation of an LG appliance on fire in our home and it caught on fire previously days before this. Then this stupid rep told us to go to Best Buy to see if they could do anything for us, which we did that same night, which was tonight. The Best Buy manager pretty much laughed (not at us) as they were shocked LG told us to go back to them. Now, we are in a situation of being without a washer. We are trying to figure out what to do next. This appliance cannot be repaired. Even if it could, we dont want a fire hazard in our home or have to worry about it re-catching on fire in future.

This is my first purchase of an LG refrigerator, and while the reviews were good, my experience has been less than stellar. The refrigerator is less than 3 years old and makes horrible noise when the doors are closed. Last year, I had to pay a professional service person close to $300 to come de-ice the refrigerator and am now faced with the same scenario. LG customer service is no help saying to make sure the refrigerator is level and to call a repair person. I have had several refrigerators ranging from Westinghouse to KitchenAid and never had issues. I am very unhappy and would not recommend purchasing an LG refrigerator.

We purchased all new LG appliances for our kitchen 3 years ago. The stove is terrible to say the least. You can brush up against the knobs and turn the burners on. My 6 year old daughter has walked by and bumped the knob with her shoulder and turned the gas on and it was on for I don’t know how long. This is extremely dangerous. Also, I can’t even use the bottom oven because flames shoot out the back and burns my food. I bought this double oven because I bake a lot and it has made baking so much more difficult. I can not believe these stoves have not been recalled due to fire danger.

LG needs to have a class action lawsuit filed against them or we all need to file claims against them in small claims court. We have most of the same issues as everyone else: Tromm LG washer and dryer. Washer model WM2277HW and dryer model DLG5988W. The washer smells like mold and always has. Slimy, moldy gasket, towels and bathroom rugs come out smelling like a barn, especially the washcloths. Soap dispenser does not drain properly; dryer does not dry. We have had multiple service calls and nothing gets more than a temporary fix or they declare they cant find anything wrong. These units were supposed to be the best and we have been putting up with them far too long.

Installed unit from 7/15/2016. Morning 12/24/2019 wife noted dripping water into unit from front upper ice maker. Upper 56/lower 54 degrees. Merry Christmas, family coming, 12lb ham for Christmas & 10lb brisket for Christmas Eve. Immediately connected with LG phone & Clark the virtual voice response system. After 2 quick checks on virtual phone; 1) Yes unit is level and doors closed, 2) No change in fridge 37 degree setting recently; Clark at main office determined required service person & sent text message to file form online. Performed immediately & attached scanned copy 12/24/2019 of all prior receipt/invoicing paperwork for original install. Confirmed upon completion same time that original registration was in system by logging onto original registration account. NO RESPONSE after confirmation online that they had received my input or assigned anyone from local service. On 12/26/2019 evening located 2 available LG service centers in area from LG website, still no follow-up directly and no means noted to do such. Left voice message with one local service center 12/26. Next morning 12/27 called them again and resubmitted my invoice/installation paperwork for warranty confirmation to them via email & scheduled earliest available service visit for Tuesday 12/31/2019. Diagnosis 12/31 -> failed compressor. LG class-action lawsuit noted; still no follow-up from LG Main Office directly after original online submittal & confirmation of receipt. Local service anticipates once LG receives their paperwork end of day when he returns to office & LG re-certifies/validates original purchase/registration; then typically 7-10 business days for LG to send parts to them. Different person will install compressor once they reschedule fix/install. Warranty paperwork indicates Parts on LG, all labor on me. Wish there was a direct way to speak with a real person at LG main office to address issues & receive proper confirmation of path forward for wife/family planning next few weeks without fridge/freezer - Ouch! Is anybody there???

I wouldnt recommend anyone buy an LG product after what my husband & I
I wouldnt recommend anyone buy an LG product after what my husband & I have been through. We bought the refrigerator in 2007 and have probably had Sears out to work on it at least 12 times. We kept paying for the repair agreement because it became obvious very quickly that it was a LEMON! We have had the motor go out once and lost all the food in it. They have replaced the side of the door with the dispenser on it once...the motherboard 7 times. We lost all the food in it again a few months ago. Today was the third time in three weeks they have come out and arent sure what the problem is. It just stops running and you have to unplug it, wait a few minutes and plug it back in. LG always tells the technician to replace something on it and it never works. Today they said to put on another door & a new power cord. We have stopped storing meat in the freezer because we are afraid the refrigerator will break down again and we will lose it all. We store it in the 30 year old refrigerator in our basement that has never had to be worked on! We paid a lot of money for this refrigerator and could have bought at least one more with all the money we have paid in repair agreements. There should be no question that we should get a new refrigerator. But they dont want to do that because now its old! They spend more money fixing this than they would giving us a replacement. It makes no sense at all! If you are looking for a new refrigerator I suggest you steer clear of LG. I wont own anything again with LG on it!

We purchased this LG stainless steel refrigerator Model # LRFD25850ST from Home Depot for $2400. Within the last 18 months we have had 3 service calls on a recurring problem. This morning the problem was back and now requires another service visit. The three prior ones cost about $600 altogether, so we are into this refrigerator for at least $3000 so far. I havent seen my problem on this blog. What happens is for some reason a sheet of ice forms in the bottom of the freezer. (Its a bottom freezer model). Anyway every single day of my life I have to crack up the ice with a wooden mallet, scrape it out of the freezer onto the floor & then clean that up. Its infuriating! Each time the tech comes out he defrosts some line & it starts working properly again. After the 1st repair visit, it worked for about 9 months. Then he came again & it worked for 2 months. Then he came again & replaced a little plastic tube & that has worked for 2 months. I really dont think a refrigerator should need to be serviced every 2 months! Before this, I had a GE fridge & it worked without a single problem for 17 years. We gave it to a family member when we got this LG & it has been working for them flawlessly since. That’s 21 years without a problem. Trying to deal with LG customer service is a joke. They couldnt care less & their only recourse is to remind you that your fridge is out of warranty. Plus like others have said, its really difficult to even find someone to service the thing. We dont live in the sticks but a major metropolitan area. We are going to cut our losses & buy a new fridge, but it is definitely not going to be an LG. I will never buy another LG product! Are there any appliances still made in the US? Thats my next quest. I have never been so thoroughly disgusted with both the quality of the product & the total worthlessness of customer service as LG has exhibited.

We purchased an LG Bottom Drawer Freezer (Model #LFX21976ST/05) 2 1/2 years ago. Recently water was dripping from the door. The ice in the ice machine was melting, and the food in the freezer was half frozen! LG customer service was helpful trying to determine the problem, walking me through trouble shooting what the problem could be only to let me know I would be charged $210.00 for a service call. I looked online and found out this is a common complaint and that even after service the same thing occurs after some time... I am disgusted that LG isnt honoring their customers by doing the right thing and repairing these defective refrigerators free of charge. VERY sad considering we love other LG products.

This is the second microwave of this model. The first one worked fine for a year - until a few days after the warranty ran out. It was cheaper to buy a new one than to have it repaired, so we bought a new one because it matched the rest of our LG appliances. This one lasted less than 3 months. Home Depot requires 3 repair attempts before they wil take it back (even though we have the extended service plan on this one), so we got in touch with LG again. The same repair man came out and took it apart and put it back together again, saying he couldnt find what the problem was. It worked after that - for 1 day. When I called the repair company again, the tech said he would contact LG for us and get it taken care of. He did contact them, but we have only heard from them once to request more paperwork. Still waiting for the follow-up call a week later to get a refund. I will never buy another LG microwave. Very disappointed in their customer service.

We have an LG LRE30755ST that we purchased in May of 2007. It was manufactured in April of 2007. On April 6, 2012, while cooking dinner in the oven, a loud humming noise started and we noticed there was a fire inside the oven. I immediately grabbed the kids and ran, and my husband shut the oven down and grabbed the extinguisher. After it cooled down, it appears some sort of wiring between the warming drawer and the bottom of the oven caused the fire and it burned a hole through the bottom of the oven. I contacted LG about this, even though it was out of the 1 year warranty and the only thing they had to offer was to send out a technician to perform a diagnostic test for $89. I told her there was nothing to diagnose, there is a hole burned in the bottom of my oven, it needs to be replaced. The agent simply said, Im sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We are furious as this is a very dangerous product and have seen several other reports of the exact same circumstances, yet the product has not been recalled, simply/conveniently discontinued. If we had been in another room, this could have been a major fire and done damage to our home. LG needs to be held accountable for their poor products.

Three months after buying the set, the washer started to bang and leak. We bought the extended warranty but it did no good. When I told them it sounded like the bearings were going out in it, they told me it doesnt have bearings and we caused it to leak by not keeping it clean, so I wipe it almost every time and it still leaks. They were here 3 times and never did anything about it. Our warranty is up and were stuck with a lemon. We bought it from Sears. I dont think well be shopping there anymore. I purchased this expensive front loading washer/dryer set from Sears 3 years ago. I bought the extended warranty! And within 6 months, the washer (which smelled terribly moldy inside) would not drain. I read the manual, opened the little door at the bottom left, pulled out the hose and drained the machine. It took a long time! It happened several more times over the years. I would call for service under warranty and the repairman would do the same thing I did, but never really FIXED the problem, which SHOULD NOT HAPPEN over and over. I would like to inform you that I am using LG home appliances past 15 years, like TV, Refrigerator (LG-225BEDG5), Washing machine (T7267TDDLL), Microwave Oven (MH-6340PS), Split AC Inverter Type 1.5 ton etc. I have purchased the Refrigerator in Dec 2012. While defrosting the fridge normally melted water coming into the plastic tray which fitted above the compressor and it will help for cooling the compressor. In this model the compressor is mounted in a IRON RECTANGLE TRAY and water overflows from plastic tray and enters the IRON Rectangle tray and it get RUSTED due to accumulation of water. This will lead to compressor falling down and damages the product. In view of the above, to UP KEEP the GOOD WILL of LG Name and product kindly look into the matter in deserving seriousness. I suggest that present positioning of THE RECTANGLE PLATE BE REVERSED and mount the compressor on that, so that water will not be accumulated in the tray. Normally since this part is coming behind the refrigerator, this defect will not be visible before it is too late. This is only a suggestion for your consideration, myself being a regular customer of LG (Life is Good) brand.

Man I wish we would have paid for new racks for our old KitchenAid. My blood pressure rises every time, every time I load up this crappy LG dishwasher. The tines are badly located, what is with the big area on the lower rack that had no tines? Because of the rack/tine design, we get about 20% less dishes in this thing. Then it runs forever but that is part of all new dishwashers. I like how sites say to run the water first so the water is hot. Yep KitchenAid heated the water much better. It had a heating element on the bottom that dried the dishes. KitchenAid had a filter on the bottom that was easily removable. The spray arms on the LG are so flimsy. I wonder if they will last 2 years. Errr!!!

Monday 5/20/19 will be the 7th time a tech has come out in an attempt to fix this piece of garbage. Im sure he will replace a part, leave, and it will continue to not work. Then next week a tech will come out again, pick a single part to replace and leave. Ill wait another week and he will come replace that part. Im pretty sure after compressor, valve, drying unit, main circuit board, and capacitor you could have replaced the fridge twice for less money. So, keep paying the techs to waste my time and rest assured I will never buy another LG appliance as long as I live.

The LG refrigerator drawer broke, while the delivery man was still here. It was replaced, but after that, the whole thing started falling apart. The French door shelving falls out frequently, and things hit the kitchen floor. Half of the shelves have broken off, and are not fixable. The meat and both the vegetable drawers have had the clear plastic front break out, and the rollers break off. The meat drawer casing is cracked on the top. The icemaker overflows, and ice flies across the kitchen floor. The light overheats, and the light bulb cover warped from heat, then fell off. The magnetic door seals are floppy and poorly designed, so the fridge has to be closed a special way, to keep it from beeping, and letting me know the doors are improperly closed. All of this happened in the first year. After hours and hours, on the phone with LG, for a couple of weeks, someone finally approved a temporary extension of warranty, and we had the drawer rollers, magnetic door seals, and ice maker fixed. They all broke again within a few weeks.

Because the fridge was less than one year old we had to use LG, not the Home Depot extended warranty.LG responded that they would have a service person there after 4 days. In the interim, we lost all of our food and had no refrigeration. I complained about the delay and they fundamentally didnt care. The repairman came and could not repair it. He ordered parts which would take several days. I complained again to LG and said we had a lemon but they would not replace the fridge and we had no cooling. And the fact we were without the appliance did not matter to them. The parts came, they were installed and the fridge did not work.LG said they would send another repairman which again took a few days. They would not acknowledge we had a lemon and they had ZERO empathy about our situation. They did not care that our $3,000 brand new fridge did not work and we had nothing. BTW we had also purchased a new LG washer and dryer the same day as the fridge but that meant nothing to them. It was a $5,300 order. I contacted Home Depot, who were wonderful. They sent us a small fridge to use.The new repairman came. He said they need different parts. He picked them up himself the next day. He installed them and the fridge worked...for a few days. We had returned the Home Depot loaner fridge, we were assuming the problem was fixed. Then we lost cooling again! I contacted LG, they said we would get a repairman in a few days! I contacted Home Depot and they sent another loaner fridge. It took another 3 weeks and a few visits by different people before it was repaired. I put in a formal request for a replacement and LG refused it. Essentially saying that notwithstanding our problems, it was repairable and not a LEMON. Of course they knew their warranty would run out so if it was a LEMON they obviously did not care.Today is February 10, 2019. My extended warranty ran out on Jan 25th, 2019. I couldnt buy a further extension (I tried to) because the original price of the fridge was too high for an extension. That worried me given the history of problems. I was able to extend my washer and dryer and I did. Yesterday, the compressor started making a noise again. The same noise we had before the other failures. Although, the warranty expired Home Depot will service it because they have a 30 day grace period. Thank you Home Depot. You are an honorable business. LG, you are terrible. This fridge is a LEMON and should have been replaced. No-one should have this many problems and now be faced with future bills because of your companys failure to honor the quality of a product you make. LG is not an honorable manufacturer. Stay away from their products.

Purchased an LG gas range because it had 5 burners. Was pleased with it until I notice the inside of the knobs have plastic and keep cracking. The first time LG replaced them at no cost to me. Now they are cracked again. Called LG and they wont replace them again. Want me to purchase them at $63.66 ea. I have 5 knobs - thats $318.30 for the knobs. If I buy them, they are going to crack again because they are the same ones. These knobs are defective. LG should have replace them with a better constructed knob so this doesnt happen again. Now its hard to turn the burners on cause they slip. Thought they would have taking care of this problem but NO.

This has been ongoing since October 2017. We purchased a brand new refrigerator costing us $1500 and it stopped working! LG has sent technicians out to repair the unit however it is not repaired! They have to come out over and over and over again every few months to “repair it”! During this time we are living out of coolers! I I finally got fed up and contacted the corporate office today since my twins have a 103 fever and I’m once again living out of a cooler until they return next week! I spoke to a representative named Milton who was extremely sarcastic and rude! He deemed the unit fixable? Fixable... They have to service it every few months so apparently is defective! He also stated that this was no cost to us! REALLY??? HOW??? It cost to us to continuously miss work over not to mention lose hundreds of dollars worth of groceries! He deemed the refrigerator fixable! They REFUSED to replace it! I’m blown away! BEWARE of the horrible customer service! Wish someone could HELP!!!

On December 8, 2011, I purchased an LG refrigerator (GRB652YLS). At the level of the refrigerator exposed showroom appears straight, very stable, no problems. When I received my home in Debal, on the floor it was my surprise: the refrigerator is very tilted back. It is not perpendicular to the ground. I have a very flat ground. At the store I bought and even at the direction of Algiers, I was told that their refrigerators are celquand; as you open the door it should be maintained with a chair to get out food or the reverse. It is equipped with front feet but no use. LG should withdraw these feet to save on the cost price of the product. I am not satisfied.

I purchased a $3000 LG fridge in April 2013 (less than 8 months ago). About a month ago, it started making a loud noise. I contacted Home Depot (where fridge was purchased) and they scheduled a tech to come look at it. He fixed it by defrosting a fan and setting the temp on my fridge higher. He warned to not have the fridge set too cold or the fan would keep freezing. Great, warm food. Less than a week later it broke down completely. We are now more than two weeks without a fridge. I have called every single day to try to get a tech out here and LG not only refuses to send someone out but cancels the techs scheduled by Home Depot. They have no time frame as to when they will allow someone to come out or when the fridge will be repaired. My five month old son has digestive issues and is on a special formula that has to be refrigerated. When I called LG to schedule repairs Bonnie from public relations told me I could ask my neighbor to store my son’s formula for me. Because I paid $3000 to use my neighbor’s fridge not to use my own fridge. The level of heartlessness LG and all their customer service reps show is beyond shameful and frankly Im shocked theyre still in business. Life is not good when Ive been storing my son’s formula in an ice chest for two weeks, feeding my other kids fast food every meal because we cant store any cold or frozen food at home, and LG has the attitude of we already have your money so now you can go F yourself. I will never ever buy an LG product again. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. No response yet from LG. Let me pretend to be surprised. At this point the fridge now stinks, is completely useless, and LG has no plans to repair or replace my fridge. Its under warranty and I had purchased the extra protection plan. Its completely unacceptable to allow a family to go without any fridge at all for two weeks and counting. Its unacceptable to know a special needs child could go hungry without his formula and NOT even send a tech out to look at it. Looks like I spent $3000 on a useless piece of crap.

I purchased an LG Washing machine 5 years ago. It had a few problems, leaked and the rubber seal on the door always came out after the wire that held it in place rusted (after 2 years). The final straw was after 5 years I had to call for service and after 3 days the LG serviceman finally arrived. Took my washer away after giving me a reasonable quote. The next day LG called to tell me that they did not have the parts for my 5-year-old Washer. So I was forced to buy a new machine. I would expect that a washing machine should last much longer than 5 years and if it needs service that the parts would be available. I will never buy anything else from LG again.

I just purchased LG Washing Machine (412 SS /12 KG). This washer has so many deficiency and crazy programs as it was designed by a kid. Its drum is NOT adjusted and leveled with rounded rubber in front of it. You will never see drum is hanging down. When started it doesnt release water, but it releases water in burst so many time and it waste so much time. Drum keeps turning without water or just barely wet for about 5-6 minutes, depend on its useless programs. Half of its programs are dedicated to Steam-Wash. So if you dont use Steam, half of its programs are completely useless, while they could have add just one steam-key as an option to all programs.WORST OF ALL: it doesnt release enough water to clean the clothes. In fact there is no standing water in washer. They are just barely wet and there is NO option to add water in any program. So as a result I have to wash my clothes twice every time. Completely waste of time. Inside washer is so dark, and you cant see inside to know whats going on. Each program is unnecessarily too long. It just sits idle and does nothing or it spins in one second burst-like and stops or it turns in weird manner not seen in other washers. It sometimes turns too fast, and clothes are just attached to inside drums wall and they dont go through churning motion. It doesnt spin after each rinse to extract detergent. As a result if you dont wash them twice, clothes will come out with powdery stuff on them after dried up.There are no options to had rinse or fast spin to any program. Inside drum surface is NOT smooth, and has rough edges to touch on each and every holes as if they are done from outside to inside rather than inside out to make smooth inside surface. These many rough surfaces will absolutely wear and damage clothes. In addition there is another double horizontal line with rough edges across inside drum, and no one knows what it is for. This is very NOISY Washing machine. So-called OPTIONS on these washer are just that. If you want to change temperature, for example, then other options also change on its own without giving you choices or options are limited when programs are changed. Brief summary of this awful washer is: it doesnt put out enough water to clean the clothes - just make them wet, each program is too long, no option to add rinse or spin. I could add several other deficiencies, but enough said. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER.

Our refrigerator starting beeping every 30 seconds. We checked all the troubleshooting suggestions from leveling, moving around the food, buying thermostats, to making sure the doors were closed. We figured out the beeping was the freezer section. We called LG who immediately said the sensor was bad and that the part was covered but the labor will not be. It seems that this is a known problem. Im just wondering why, if its a known defect... why isnt it covered. I havent had the refrigerator for 7 years yet so it should be covered. Right?!?! We corrected the problem by taping down the switch that turns on the light in the freezer section. Last night, 4:32 am, the other section started beeping. It beeps for every 30 seconds for about 20 minutes and then stops for a few hours. Id rather not be able to see in my refrigerator than spend hundreds for repair. The temps are fine. Just, buyer beware.

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator in December of 2015 from H. H. Gregg (who went bankrupt shortly after my purchase therefore making the extended warranty null and void). Sunday morning September 23, 2018 I woke up to find a puddle in front of the freezer compartment (its a side by side). I opened the freezer to find everything defrosting rapidly. I put everything in the refrigerator side (which seemed cold). Within the day I realized the refrigerator wasnt working either. The next day, September 24th (my birthday) my husband called an appliance service person (Coastal Appliance) who came within the hour. The technician, Mark said it was the linear compressor 134A that failed. He said morally he couldnt fix it because the failure rate on this part is too high and too expensive. After checking on his phone he said the parts and labor would cost approximately $1,000 and it would only fail again at some point. He suggested we purchase another refrigerator not an LG or Samsung as they both use the same compressor. I feel like I was scammed by the LG Refrigerator company. I paid thousands of dollars for this refrigerator and I should be getting more than 2 years and 10 months of service from it.

I recently purchased all new LG appliances in the new black stainless. Love the door in door fridge, enjoy the stove/oven and microwave, but the dishwasher is impossible. The rack design for glasses will not hold any size glass. Glasses continually fall and turn over during cleaning. Often the very top new utensil basket gets caught on the glasses and the racks will not close without being pushed aggressively. The bottom rack has collapsible sections that fall down without force and plates become scattered and stuck together during the clean cycle. The overall cleaning, look and quietness of the dishwasher is good. BUT you will become easily frustrated with the basket configuration. Wish I could return this impossible appliance!!!

They term this as cosmetic. We have had other stoves/ranges over the years and this has never happened. LG also states that cosmetic issues arent covered. In December of this past year, I wrote a letter and mailed it to a location in New Jersey which online had shown it as a corporate office, but never received a response. I received an LG front load washer at 12 noon today. I did the first load which spewed soapy water on the floor. I did subsequent small loads with no overflow. The dispensers retain clear water after cycle completed. I contacted LG to question why the water remains in the dispensers and why the overflow. I was informed that I used too much soap which caused the overflow. This is my second LG, and I am no dummy. I know how to fill the soap dispenser to the normal or max levels using HE products. The response from LG is We only recommend 2 tbs for a big load. I measured the amount of liquid to fill to the normal mark which is 5 tbs and to the max level which is 7 tbs.I explained this to the LG rep and the response was, We have already sent this numerous times to the designers. WHAT??? They know about the problem, continue to produce the product using the same improper guides in the manual and intuitively, the consumer follows the dispenser level marks and provide no ALERT to consumer!!! Of course, I still needed to know about the clear water remaining in the dispensers. That is normal. The dispenser dispenses by overfilling the drawer, that is shy there is water remaining at the end. Of course! We all want stagnated water to sit in the drawer possibly turning moldy and smelly to be dispensed into the next load of wash! I am absolutely incredulous! How can a manufacturer possibly continue to produce and sell such a subpar product? I was pleased with my last LG that performed well for 6 years and recently started to overflow and would not pump the water adequately out of the washer. I bought my LG appliances not quite 3 years ago. I did my whole kitchen, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer. They were very expensive. I thought I was buying the best. I bought them from HH Gregg. First mistake. They went out of business shortly after. I never received pedestals for washer and dryer, they owed me $150 back but of course I never saw that. The appliances are junk. Microwave is convection but has burn marks on side from first use. Dishwasher wheels fell off right away. Getting dishes in and out almost impossible unless I get halfway in it. I rarely use it because its a pain. My refrigerator compressor went out the beginning of June 2019. LG uses a company called A&E for repairs. When I called them they told me they only had one technician in my area. I finally got my refrigerator fixed today. September 11, 2019. The compressor was fixed 2 weeks ago but the day after it was fixed the icemaker went. I went without a refrigerator for two months and without ice for over 3 months. I have had to buy bagged ice for 3 months.I finally had enough with A&E and the rudeness I dealt with there. I refused them to do the repairs. LG said they got someone else to do the repairs, only thing is they never called him to set up for repairs to be done. Not once but twice. Thankfully I had his number and he made time to fix the refrigerator. His company is called Umbrella appliance repair and his name is Said. Not sure of last name. He is from Williamsburg VA. I would recommend him and give him the highest respect. He came even though they didnt call him like they said not once but twice, they had me wait all day and he didnt even know he was supposed to be here to do repairs. He worked until after 8 p.m.My husband passed away 3 yrs. ago, the person that took my info got it wrong and somehow when they sent the parts to my house, parts I didnt know were coming, came in my dead husbands name. Can you imagine getting a pkg. on your front steps with your deceased spouses information on it. Also during all of this mess my mother passed away. I had family coming in from all over the country and no refrigerator to keep food and no way to make ice. I had people here from Wisconsin, California and Pennsylvania. This has been a nightmare I wouldnt wish on anyone. Over 2 months without a refrigerator 3 months without my icemaker. LG should be ashamed. I would never recommend them to anyone and I promise I will never buy LG products again. The worst customer service ever, from LG and A & E repair services. Debbie **

My washer is 1 1/2 years old. Just before it went out of warranty, I noticed the bleach dispenser was starting to rust. I called LG and was told not their problem and if I want someone to look at it I have to pay for a repairman. I told them NO WAY. I would be glad to send pictures, still they said no. A couple months go by and I start to notice rust spots on my clothes so I called back this time. I was told there was a recall and they would fix that first then look into the rust problem. Repairman comes and just like everyone else did not fix the unbalance problem. I insisted on him taking pictures of the now very rusty bleach dispenser. After many calls, they finally agreed to fix. Well see. They are due here this Friday. This machine is junk!!!! I welcome a class action suit!!!!!!

I purchased my LTC19340SW refrigerator in April of 2012. It has had no less than 6 service calls for the same reason; the bottom will stop cooling after a while. The customer service representative extended my warranty because of so many issues. I am very frustrated with having to constantly have the unit repaired, tossing out food and missing work. When looking for refrigerators, do not consider this brand or at the very least do not buy this model. This company should be embarrassed for selling such an inferior product.

The LG washer/steam (model Wm2699HNM) broke after 5 years. I called LG and the girl in India wanted to troubleshoot the problem over the phone before referring me to a repairman. I did troubleshoot with her to no avail and then she gave me the number of a repairman. The repairman came out and thought it was the motor. He opened it up to repair it and found that the drum had become detached from the spinner. He said he had never seen this happen on an LG washer. I sent LG an email and didnt receive a response. Then, I called them the next day. They stated that the drum had a lifetime warranty and the motor had a 10-year warranty, but there was nothing they could do for me for this problem. I spoke to an executive manager for the problem and he stated he was sorry that he couldnt help me since my washer was over a year old!

I bought a new LG refrigerator Model LFXS29766S from Home Depot for $2700. After only 14 months the compressor failed. The repairman said this compressor was back ordered and it will be several weeks to get a new one installed. Apparently LG has a major reliability problem with this compressor design. Thank goodness for my 25 year old Sears in the garage. It has been running well since day one with absolutely zero maintenance or repair. I will not buy anything from LG in the future.

We bought LG refrigerator in 2016, and it failed in about two years. Took a long time for the LG technician to come in, who replaced the compressor and told us that he was working day in and day out fixing the same problem for other customers. He also told us that even with the replaced compressor, it could fail again in 6 months. At the time, we didnt pay too much attention to that, but it turned out what he said was true. Just 6 months after the repair, the refrigerator failed again. Looking up online the experiences from others, now Im convinced that LG knew the problem all along, and what they have been doing is basically deferring the problem, at the expenses of its customers. Now it looks like they dont even have in-house resource to fix our problem, instead they sent a 3rd-party contractor to fix our fridge, from whom we are getting even worse experience. While he boasted about how the first repair wasnt done well, and promised us he fixed the problem, his two attempts didnt fix it, and we are scheduled for his 3rd visit.LG service claims they are not going to provide us replacement or refund. What they can do is to give us repairs, which is likely from the same repair person and with long lead time every time. Its been almost a month since the fridge broken down, and the entire household has been living on the small 2-door fridge we bought when the fridge first broken down. I dont know how long this is going to last, but I know it wont be long before I have to resort to legal actions.

My wife and I purchased a 26cf refrig. Water dispenser does not work properly. Repair service wants $157.00 to come out, order parts and $157.00 to come out and install. We purchased new elec. range and they did come out and replace glass in oven door. We purchased a microwave and the bottom of handle broke loose after warranty (have superglued in place). We purchased a dishwasher and the rollers on the upper rack keep breaking loose. This was all done within the last 5 years and only warranty was oven door glass. We are now in the process of replacing all appliances with a different brand and never to buy another LG product.

Purchased LG side by side bottom freezer 24 cf refrigerator in Jan 2015, main control board went out within 3 month, fixed under warranty. Fast forward 3 years compressor went out. Had to pay labor. LG service backed up 3 weeks. Currently refrigerator compartment not cooling. Less than 48 degrees. Down since 6/21/20 had not been working right for a while. It was making drilling sound. Replaced a fan 7/1. Sound stopped. Its still not cooling. I have been waiting for more parts since tech came back out on 7:14. This was third visit. No one will talk to me at LG. This is a defective product and I have received no response from LG at all. Should not be down for 5 weeks. I have asked for their help 5 times with calls and three emails. I have had no customer support at all. I am Very frustrated and extremely disappointed in their lack of concern. They manufactured and sold a defective product and have offered no resolution or even acknowledged my complaint I have had a horrible experience to this point.

Updated on 08/12/2019: I posted a review of LG refrigerator here a while ago. I described how shortly after the warranty ended, it needed a circuit board replaced and every shelf cracked. LG responded to me claiming this was unusual and they wanted to take care of it. They asked me for more and more information, model, serial number, date of purchase, photos, etc. This went on for several weeks. Finally they responded that the warranty was over and they owed me nothing. But they already knew this since my review already mentioned that. So the only reason they responded must be to give others the impression that they stood behind the products when they actually didnt. It was rubbing salt into a wound. I thought readers should know. And LG, dont bother responding. I wont fall for it again.Original Review: I think all refrigerators today are junk and this one is no exception. Shortly after the warranty expired, it needed over $200 in repairs (circuit board). It has a top freezer and bottom fridge. When you put your hand over the space between them, you feel the cold air escaping. Most of the poorly constructed shelves have cracked but I have been told this is standard on any brand of fridge. The shelves cost almost as much as a new fridge.

I have bought this LG Intello 6.5 Kg washing machine (Product T7066MN) in 2009 for Rs 12,000, and it is just out of warranty, and it has stopped working. I reported this to customer care on 1/9/2012, and the engineer reported a major repair worth Rs 4,000. My concern is the machine is just out of warranty and has such major parts under repair. Is this the quality of LG products? My previous machines I bought had minimum life before coming to repair (6 years). What is the guarantee that if I spend Rs 4,000 now, which is 1/3 the original cost, it will solve all of the problems? I would not recommend LG products to anyone. They just have good looks and no quality.

One good thing about it: the funny sounds it makes. Just about useless crap. Top loading pile of crap. What a hunk of junk. Mine is a top loader. Smart drive load sensor it is none of those. It does not sense loads. And is not smart. I will not purchase another LG anything again. This thing is unreliable junk. It calls itself a water saver. Problems: itll get stuck load sensing. It complains about uneven loads and the loads as far as I can tell have to be a specific size to get past that bug. I got the thing 4 months ago. If theyd own up to having given me a bad one so I could exchange I would. My current load has been trying to complete for at least 4 hours because itll simply fail. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to work right. The field tech tried to fix it, and couldnt (literally). They simply didnt send that person with the parts needed to repair it. Hes tried and even once said Wow thats... just broken. It takes me most of a day to do one load.

Four weeks ago, my LFX25960SW LG Refrigerator displayed an ER dH error code on the front door panel. All of my food was warm and the fridge was not cooling. I called LG (what a circle jerk) and was referred to A&E Service. I called and was told that I would have to wait a week for someone to come out. He came out and said that it was the bimetal heater, which he doesnt carry in his truck and would have to be ordered. It was shipped to my house in 4 days. I had to wait another week for the serviceman to come back. He took off the old one and put the new one in, but when my husband checked the part he took off, it was working. The serviceman said that it might be the circuit board, and that he would order it. A few hours after he left, the error code came back and the fridge was warm again.I wasnt confident that the part was ordered, so I called LG myself to order it and found out that the serviceman hadnt ordered the part. It came 5 days later but we had to wait another week for the serviceman to come back. He put in the new circuit board but within 5 hours after he left, the error code was back and the fridge was warm again. Luckily, we had a small fridge in the garage; but it was getting pretty annoying humping bags of food back and forth. I just called LG again today and was told that they would call A&E and look into the matter, and call me back. As of yet, there has been no phone calls. I guess its going to be another day of waiting for the phone to ring. The time Ive wasted on the phone with LG and A&E and on waiting for the repairman have been very frustrating, and my fridge still doesnt work.I live in Missouri and actually called a repairman I know in Chicago. He told me that he doesnt even work on LG because you cant get parts and theyre nothing but junk. I wish I had known before I bought this high priced piece of crap. I will never buy an LG product again. They do not stand behind their product. Once its bought, youre on your own.

The tub and motor have a 7 year warranty, but the bearing that holds it all together is only covered for only1 year. They will not fix it, and they are asking for $500, to replace the bearing. I was told it would be covered by the warranty, until the repairman came to my home, then informed me it is not covered. LG will not respond to my problem. We need a class action suit. The water is pouring out of the bottom of machine. So back to repair person. He told me LG had by now paid more for repairs, than the machine is worth, so now LG finally agree to relapse my machine, but I had to drive 225km to pick it up myself. But died that, and now, only 1/1/2 years later this LG is also stuffed. So for me LG never again. Worst machine I ever had, and I am 76 years old, so have had a few machines. Shall go back to ASKO.

Over the years we have had a number of refrigerator brands and have never had any major problems. Our LG refrigerator has lasted less than 2 years and after 4 weeks of dealing with this company we are still without a refrigerator. The unit stopped cooling and we called customer service. Seeing that it was a refrigerator we thought a day or 2 and it would be repaired. It took a week for their service rep from A & E Appliance Repair to arrive. It looks like this company has some connection to Sears. Then another week went by before a part arrived. Looking at the control board that arrive it had broken clips and it didnt look new. A few days later a service rep arrived and installed this part, no change no cooling. He indicated he would have to order another board. At the time didnt think this might just be a scam of sending out a used board. After 2 more weeks they are saying it is on back order and dont know when it will be available. The conversation is turning to buying a service contract. I have now spoke with 10-15 reps in LG customer service and a number have indicated they will expedite the process and get back to us. Never happens. You can never get back to the last person you talked to. I have seen some references to a class action law suit. This looks like the only hope anyone who has purchased an LG product has to recover the loss.

Our refrigerator freezer completely died on Saturday, April 25, 2020. I contacted LG on Monday, April 27 and reported the problem. They had me go through the Smart diagnosis function, as well as the reset function and neither worked. They confirmed that there was a full warranty on both parts and labor, however they did not have a certified technician in my area (even though we live close to the Phoenix metropolitan area) so they would be unable to provide one. They indicated we could try to find one ourselves. We did find one that would service our refrigerator and asked the customer service to provide an “LOA” ( Letter of Authorization) which they indicated they would issue. After finding out from the service people that they did not receive the LOA, we contacted LG again and they indicated that they sent it. When we asked them Email it again while we were waiting on the phone, they indicated that they did. Again the service company said they never received it. We asked LG to send us a copy of the order and they said they would not do so. We finally got them to set up a service call for Wednesday, May 6. We ask them for the name of the service company, and still have yet to receive a response. Since that means almost 10 days with no refrigerator, we are extremely frustrated with LG.

I purchased an 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer Featuring Powerful Stain Care Technology Model: WT4870CW in March 2014, in addition to the companion dryer. I purchased this product as reviews had been good, and the price was right. It has been the worst machine I have ever owned. In spite of trying various settings, and contacting the manufacturer, clothes just dont get clean, and even today, linens that I took out had more stains on them than when they went in. The clothes dont agitate, and even if you use a setting that adds more water, the clothes just dont move around. They come out in the same position as when you loaded the machine. Forget using a water-saving setting - the clothes are barely damp. The machine will go off balance if there is anything, even one item, that is of a different weight. It resets itself endlessly. I miss my old Maytag and cant wait for a reason to get rid of the LG Washer. The drier is also a problem, but I guess I can live with wrinkled clothes more than I can with dirty ones. Dont buy an LG.

Our washer/dryer set (WM2016) was purchased from Sears about 4 years ago. My wife has always complained about the stench in the tub. Then last week, she was complaining about a smell (different). The next night, I came home from work and she said it was smelling again. When I got to the laundry room, the smoke alarm started sounding and I could not see the washer. After getting in and shutting it off, the drum was on fire which was quickly extinguished. I pulled the washer out and unplugged it. At that point, I needed to remove the top to make sure the fire was out, which it was. The next morning, I took the machine apart to see what happened to our 4-year-old washer. It seems that LG made a part inside of the plastic drum that is made from aluminum that was not treated by any means. It corroded, causing the drum to contact the outer drum. Had we not been home, we could have lost everything. I will not purchase anything LG produces from here out. When contacted, they could care less as we have your money!

The can happen with the lightest bump, & is generally unnoticed, by individual, until the strong gas smell is evident! My communications over the years has been extremely frustrating, & unacceptable. I was told that knobs are ornamental by one employee. Another claimed it was my misuse because I left the oven door open. Once someone told me I would get replace the knobs free within a week. They never came! I finally bought new ones for about $275. The plastic overlay on what appears to be a metal knob is beginning to crackle. We went months without the use of our appliances as a result and LG never compensated us for these major disruptions in our lives! And not to mention all the time missed off work to meet the repair people and there were many appointments.
