Do yourself a favor and stay far away from LG products. I purchased an LG Dryer and have had nothing but problems with the lint catcher/ filter ruining my clothes. The lint catcher does not sit flush and it will shred clothing when clothing gets caught on it during the drying cycle. As the dryer spins, the clothing catches on the filter and continues to twist creating a clothing tornado that tears and shreds clothing with the continuous spinning of the dryer.I have contacted LG on this and despite having a warranty and in addition, an extended warranty, LG states that they dont cover this issue and that I have to pay out of my own pocket for their design defects??? LG also told me that this was the first they heard of such a problem with their dryers and that I was the first person to contact them?? This is clearly a design defect that LG IS Aware of and has been for years - yet they do nothing and do not fix the problem or stand by their customer by their replacing the defective part. This is planned obsolescence. LG is making billions of of customers like us yet they do not stand by their customers or deal with known product defects. Do yourself a favor and purchase another brand of dryer. I know I will be NOT be a repeat customer.

I am so far pleased w/ my new refrigerator, but getting the right help for a replacement part has been extensive and frustrating. Fridge under warranty. Needed to order new tempered glass shelf for my model fridge. First time - Sent the wrong part. Glass is correct width but 2.5 too long. Called again. Second Time - Sent entirely wrong part. Third time - Looked online at blown out version of parts while on phone with Customer Service. They sent the wrong part again, but same part as first attempt. Each time the Model number was verified having taken a picture of sticker on inside of fridge. Clearly the part # is mislabeled. Now they are asking me to wait 3-5 more days to get a call to schedule an in-home visit. Offered to send picture of parts and how tempered glass shelf is too long. No, once the order was put in process by supervisor for technician there is nothing else to do but wait.ON ANOTHER NOTE: Im from Maine. Fridge purchased in Maine. Maine has Consumer Goods And Maine Express And Implied Warranty Laws. I do not know about other states, but is worth a look. In Maine regardless of what warranty the retailer or manufacturer gives, Maine law gives consumers a 4-year warranty and the Retailer is who is responsible and who you deal with, not the manufacturer. So when offered the 3-yr warranty, I say, No thanks, because Im covered by Maine Law for the 4 years.

The LG dishwasher model number LDP6797ST is the worst dishwasher I have ever had! It does not get anything clean. Ive had to buy $10 booster powder and it still doesnt get the dishes clean. Now, I cant get it set for anything. It stops mid cycle & Dings at me for no reason. It will run back 6 minutes and then it stops and starts dinging again. I cant figure out why its dinging and what it wants. The manual is entirely too technical for me to understand or to mess with. Ive been washing dishes in the sink by hand! This dishwasher was in this house when I bought it and Ill make sure I never do that again. First chance I get its out. I would give it a zero stars if that were an option. I hate this dishwasher.

I purchased a $6,000.00 worth of LG appliances approximately one and a half years ago from Sears. The microwave oven (Model: 2085ST) now needs a replacement door panel not covered by the warranty. The microwave has had minimal usage (average use of once a week which equates to 60 uses). Upon attempting to resolve the problem using the LG customer service line, I was referred to a local service center which did not even work on LG appliances. Additionally, I was placed on hold twice and had to repeat my issue twice to rude employees. The quality of the appliance and the customer service is so poor. Evidently, the company has no responsibility to stand behind their products. I will strongly advise everyone I know to never purchase LG products.

My dishwasher stopped working a few years ago. The dishwasher was only one year old. I had it repaired and I have never had a problem since then. I also learned to clean and maintain it myself. To have a happy dishwasher and a happy dishwasher owner, try to clean your dishwasher after each use. By the way, I only used hot water and degreaser in cleaning this and now it washes better than it ever has.

Poor quality and terrible customer service. We purchased new refrigerator one year ago to go in vacation home. After 6 months of light use, compressor on ice maker went out. Have been trying to get it repaired since February to no avail. Custom service at LG is a total joke! They keep saying they have contacted a repairman but I never hear from the person and when I try to call repairman, I get an unidentifiable voicemail and my calls/messages are never returned. Four times, I have asked LG to contact a different repair person, but they keep calling the same guy back. They are now hinting that my warranty is close to lapsing, but I have been trying to get the repair completed since there were four months left on the warranty period. If you want aggravation in your life purchase LG, if not, purchase Sub Zero or KitchenAid. Ive owned both and never had a problem.

I purchased an LG microwave (model no. LMA1180ST) from Best Buy on April 13th, 2011. In December the microwave started making a noise like a fog horn and smelled of burning wires. When I contacted LG they were anything but helpful. I was told to mail my original receipt to them and purchase a new LG microwave. I was to then send them the new receipt and produce an ISBN number from the box and at that point they would honor their warranty and send me my $89.99. This microwave could have started a fire in my home. LGs policy of making a consumer wait for the warranty to be honored approximately 3 months is unacceptable as well as it is unacceptable that their product did not last a year.

The Model No.GL-D372RLJM has a very serious design defect: it possesses an irreparable heater plate which is a crucial part of the defrosting system. Once this heater plate cracks, cooling of the lower section of the fridge stops and the whole fridge must be trashed. Our fridge developed this problem when it was only 5 years old. After a lengthy wait, LG made an exchange offer, in which the worth of this fridge was deemed just 15% of the original purchase price. A fridge having a life span of 5 years is ridiculous. Equally insane is the policy of making the customer pay for LG’s own design defect.

I do not normally write bad reviews, however; with the amount of money I spent on my LG Probake series range/oven, I am very disappointed. Model # LRE4213ST. As others have written, you barely bump or lean up against the knobs on the front and they turn on. Even the dog can turn them on. We have truly returned home to find the burner red hot, luckily, we keep it cleared off, but we just bought a home and remodeled and I really don’t want the house to burn down. I have had to go through 2 sets of childproof knob protectors to help prevent this.

Updated on 05/19/2019: April 29 was my first review. TOMORROW will DAY 35 without our LG refrigerator. No tech licensed at first with dealing with LG then they offered an in store credit but sent file to Assurance and they sent a tech. Had to wait on parts. LG would not RUSH them. Finally parts in. Had to make appt. Replacing compressor, main PC and therm. $1,100.00. I paid $1,500.00 for fridge. Thursday after approximately 4 hours with service repairman it is finally fixed. Today the fridge is WARM Inside. ITS BROKEN ALREADY. ALL I WANTED WAS A NEW FRIDGE. ITS DAY 35 TOMORROW!!!! PEOPLE should get to see all of the review replies I have done with LG. Not just the first one. I have 8 pages of notes of phone calls on this fridge. How many weeks is a acceptable to wait. I just wanted an in store credit....Updated on 05/02/2019: April 30 posted complaint with lack of service on my refrigerator. April 30 LG quickly responded asking for my telephone number. May 1 I responded. THEN nobody phones. This is now day 18 and no fridge. Please give me an in store credit and perhaps a FREE 4 year extended warranty to make things right. I offered a repairman’s name to you but no you didnt have a contract with him. Yet you did not have any licensed tech for a compressor.Original Review: We are now at day 14 without a fridge. LG doesnt care. Days went by before they said they didnt have e a licensed tech for compressor. More days went by before given an approval number for in store credit then, I was told Assurance Solution Insurance co would take file now. They then decide there is a repair man to diagnose it. Fridge stinks and still waiting to hear what is to be done. Totally UNACCEPTABLE. Should have been looked after within 2 to 3 days. Its a fridge not a microwave.

Ive had my washer dryer for almost 2 years. In that time I have had service on the machines for various reasons and have been somewhat satisfied. During the time Ive owned them my family has noticed that all my towels smell like mildew. I have done everything from tub cleaning which there is a button for that and buying tub cleaners. I leave the door open when not in use and never leave a wash lay in there, but it still always smells. Today when I went into room the whole room smells. I immediately called LG and they will not come out for smells. I also told them I noticed under and around rim there is gunky stuff that I cannot remove and they said they will not do anything. I will NEVER buy another LG appliance again!!

We bought this range Model LRE3083ST at HHGregg in Sept of last year. So far it has one failed control panel and today after it was replaced a few months ago I awoke to the same issue. I unplugged it and plugged it in again and nothing shows up. The buttons do not work nor does anything else. This will be the second call on this range. I am not happy right now because I have been on hold for 1 hour and 46 minutes after speaking to someone who told me the same company cannot come out until the 26th. It is the 21st. I dont believe I should be without the range for that long. It is their product. They need to get back out to fix it or I want a new range.

Since the first week I had LG, it made my clothes smell. Despite calling LG, and having a service company come out, the smell wont go away. I have a sick person with cancer, and they cannot lay on the sheets, because it makes them nauseous. I have to take the wash to my sons house. This is totally unacceptable. I have allergies, and the smell is giving me headaches. LG needs to take this machine back, because there is something gravely wrong. The reason is it does not empty all the water out, and sits in the machine. The water gets smelly, and goes into the clothes. To sit on the floor and empty the water after each wash, is unacceptable. Bleaching and numerous cleaning doesnt help, as long as it holds at least a gallon of water all the time. Please recall the LG front load model WM042HW/01. According to LG, this is normal, and are trying to say it is the soap/detergent that is the problem. This is not so. It is a water problem that always remains in the machine getting musty.

Our LG refrigerator (LFW31925SW) has stopped cooling/freezing. After reading the MANY reviews, I am very concerned. I do not want to put $500 - $1000 in repairs (even though it is still under warranty) just for it to happen again. It appears that there is a Class Action Lawsuit about this problem but my model is one of the excluded models - Also excluded are consumers who bought LG refrigerator models of which fewer than 1,000 units were sold “or for which the service rate for No-Cooling Events was less than 1% of sales,” the settlement says.. Is there a way to get this repaired without having to do a repair again in the near future?

OK, I couldnt afford a dryer so a faster spin cycle was very important. Machine is excellent.

Not even 3 years ago we purchased a $2,400 refrigerator that was on sale. Well a month ago the fridge quit cooling and the warranty covered parts. Called and explained the problem and we were told to turn off the fridge for 24 hours and it might restart. I explained my food is going bad and do you tell all customers to turn their fairly new appliances off for a restart. The LG rep. giggled and said if I called out someone without trying a restart it would cost more money. After a month and three visits from a serviceman he tells me the fridge is bad. LG going on policy I guess with little concern about our family and us having no way of cooling our food offers to prorate our fridge giving us approximately $850. Kicker another two weeks for a check. The last of several supervisor tells me, You can still go buy a fridge if you want, you just wont get your check till the 19th. Bottom line, no concern or compassion for a customer. I will never own LG again.

Over the years we have had a number of refrigerator brands and have never had any major problems. Our LG refrigerator has lasted less than 2 years and after 4 weeks of dealing with this company we are still without a refrigerator. The unit stopped cooling and we called customer service. Seeing that it was a refrigerator we thought a day or 2 and it would be repaired. It took a week for their service rep from A & E Appliance Repair to arrive. It looks like this company has some connection to Sears. Then another week went by before a part arrived. Looking at the control board that arrive it had broken clips and it didnt look new. A few days later a service rep arrived and installed this part, no change no cooling. He indicated he would have to order another board. At the time didnt think this might just be a scam of sending out a used board. After 2 more weeks they are saying it is on back order and dont know when it will be available. The conversation is turning to buying a service contract. I have now spoke with 10-15 reps in LG customer service and a number have indicated they will expedite the process and get back to us. Never happens. You can never get back to the last person you talked to. I have seen some references to a class action law suit. This looks like the only hope anyone who has purchased an LG product has to recover the loss.

After only a year and two months after purchase, our LG dishwasher (LDS4821ST) is obviously having a drain pump issue, and thankfully we purchased the service plan at Home Depot. This washer sucks. It has become noisy, the panel freaks out and sometimes you cannot choose certain wash cycles, and now this drain pump issue. Its a huge piece of **. Follow my advice, since I know people with more expensive washers - get something like a Bosch or, if you really have the cash, a Miele. If you purchase an LG, you will regret it. Oh, and we also have an LG refrigerator, which also sucks. Although there are no real problems yet, it cools unevenly, and even when the unit is set at 36, some zones read 42-44 degrees (I have a digital chefs thermometer), which is in the danger zone for food (40/140 rule).

We purchased the top of the line LG refrigerator in 2015. It broke down with a HUGE $1250 compressor issue in June of 2020. There is a lawsuit on them for SHOTTY compressors. Our refrigerators model was in the lawsuit. LG **ed us for 6 months, telling us they would send out a technician to fix it. THEY NEVER DID. And then had the audacity to tell us they’d only give $800 in a depreciated value. THAT DOESNT FIX SAID REFRIGERATOR OR GET US A SAME MODEL DIFFERENT ONE. Even a 2015 would STILL be $1600. So we installed a new LG range last month during a kitchen remodel. Huge capacity oven, which I appreciate, but the chime indicating preheating target temperature is 100 degrees too early. It ultimately reaches target temp, but about 10 minutes later. The first casserole baked gave us mild food poisoning as we erroneously believed it had cooked according to the recipe. In fact, it was placed in the oven 100 degrees below temp, lost heat in the process of opening the door, then was never cooked long enough. Now I have an internal gauge hung in the middle of the oven space, which I have to illuminate with a flashlight shone through the door, to monitor temp. What a colossal waste of $1300.

I purchased washer from Sears on 3/21/13. It is now 6/15/13 and the washer has been out of service for 8 weeks. It is always the same problem, the computer board. The first time it went out, the service person came out and said it would be 10 days to get the parts shipped. It worked for 2 days before going out again. This time, it again took 10 days to get the parts shipped. This worked for 1 day before it went out again. The service guy called and said it was another part and had it shipped another 10 days. When it got here, the service guy said it was the wrong part, so now another 10 days for the parts to ship. In between scheduling for someone to actually come out and repair the machine was always a couple more days. I called LG USA directly and was basically told nothing. Not even a Sorry for your trouble. Their response was that there was nothing that they could do. Apparently, once you buy an LG product, you are on your own. They already have your money so they dont care about anything else. If you see an LG appliance, run away, run far, run fast. Just stay as far away from it as possible. We purchased a brand new LG refrigerator in July of 2015... At the time I did a fair amount of research and reviews on the brand and the model (French Door, Bottom Freezer), and all reviews were over 4/5 stars. We paid $2400 for a device that lasted less than 18 months. Fast-forward 13 months later (conveniently 1 month after the we cover everything part of their warranty ended), and the fan began to make a loud noise. A few days later, our fridge was no longer cooling, and on the digital panel we received a fan motor error code.We had purchased a 5 year major appliance warranty from Lowes... After 3 repairs in one weekend (each time the fridge went about 2 hours prior to it producing the same error code), followed by a separate service provider who had to order parts (and hasnt returned in over two weeks), we still do not have a working refrigerator. LG is a PoS company producing horrible quality appliances -- each service provider told us to never again buy an LG or Samsung appliance... Theyre made to last up to 7 years, but many appliances dont even make it two years at this point.

I did troubleshoot with her to no avail and then she gave me the number of a repairman. The repairman came out and thought it was the motor. He opened it up to repair it and found that the drum had become detached from the spinner. He said he had never seen this happen on an LG washer. I sent LG an email and didnt receive a response. Then, I called them the next day. They stated that the drum had a lifetime warranty and the motor had a 10-year warranty, but there was nothing they could do for me for this problem. This company is a joke! Just look at all the 1 star complaints. Where were these reviews when I purchased? Well, the refrigerator was a brand new model with a brand new design called a linear compressor. This so-called ‘energy saver’, has been verified a complete disaster. It was faulty from day 1 and all the technicians will agreed. LG has since redesigned it, so now instead of 1 1/2 to 2 years, it is made to last up to 3 years before it fails. Save on energy? Perhaps, but you will pay through the nose on faulty parts every couple of years. It will cost you at minimum of $1,000 for the compressor to be replaced and a bit less to have your motherboard replaced when it fails. This does not include the hundreds to thousands in wasted food when the refrigerator crashes, the 2 to 6 week wait for a certified repair person (eat out every night?), the hours spent dealing with LG (NON-EXISTENT) customer service, who will never return a call or follow-up, who will argue with you, mock you, and make up lies regarding what their warranty plainly says in writing and in an easy to read chart, which they will refuse to honor. I urge you all to file an online complaint with your states attorney generals office. They handle these types of cases. Instead of complaining on here, where nothing will come of it, take a moment to get real action. They are basically stealing! They are the ones who manufactured faulty parts, they should be held responsible. If you bought a car that had a defective part, there would be a recall and the company would replace it. But LG has no honor, or concern for the millions of dollars paid out by consumers to repair or replace their products. They will NEVER care, unless they are FORCED TO!!! Aside from your State Attorney General, complaints to the Better Business Bureau, media outlets, blogs, complaint sites, The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), State Consumer Affairs Departments, letters to the store managers who carry their products, etc. LETS MAKE THEM ACCOUNTABLE!

Updated on 04/06/2021: Again, my experience with LG appliances and their customer service department has been awful. I have been dealing with this for 5 months (after my first issue a year ago) and it is still ongoing. I will never buy an LG product again.Original Review: We have been without our refrigerator for 4 months. This is the second time the compressor has gone out and we can not get one of LGs service techs to get the parts needed and repair this. It should have been replaced months ago but the customer service department is useless. Do Not Buy This or any LG product. The aggravation alone is not worth it.

I purchased an LG Front Load Washer (model:WM2688HWM) on 8/19/06 from Best Buy, for $1,349.99, plus pedestal for $179, 2-pack of hoses for $26.99=$1,555.98 plus $101.14 for tax. My total payment was $1,657.12. In addition, we purchased the 5 year service plan from Best Buy for $199.99. Our total investment was $1,857.11. The unit was delivered on 9/15/06. Exactly 5 years and one month after delivery and 1st use in 2006, on 10/15/2011, our machine flashed tE on the display, and we could not use the machine, and we were out of warranty by 1 month. An authorized LG technician was called, and he came out, ordered a new thermostat, and replaced it on 10/24/11. 3 weeks later, on 11/18/11, the machine stopped, and again flashed tE on the display panel. The technician was not able to come out right away, so a new thermostat was installed on 12/3/11. On 1/31/2012, the machine flashed tE, is not working, and again I am waiting for the Authorized Technician to come. I called LG Customer Service this morning, (1-800-243-0000). The rep I spoke to was very nice, but could only give the answers he is trained to give. I then spoke to a very nice supervisor, who was also well trained to give non-helpful answers to the consumers. My first washer lasted 22 years, and it was not an LG. I never had a service call for a thermostat problem on that washer, but did replace it once on the dryer. At that time we were a family of 6. The children played sports. We did a lot of laundry, but the machine was made well, and I paid a fair price for a product that was predicted to last 20 years, but lasted longer. With all the laundry we did, I would have been thrilled had it lasted only 15. This LG has cost much more money. Our youngest was a senior in high school, and then left for college when we bought it, so basically I have done laundry for my husband and I, who dont get terribly dirty, and the machine was used 2 or 3 times a week. The repair man is now here, and the new thermostat he has installed is still flashing tE. He said he has spoken to the company, and was told that the problem could not possibly be the main board, that it has to be the thermostat. He is on the phone with them now. I will pay for another service call today, but as soon as I send this email, I am going to start researching and determine what washing machines have a better service record. I have been told that LG has such great technology, but what benefit is good technology, if it cannot be incorporated into a product that will work for a reasonable length of time?

We purchased LG french door refrigerator LFXS29626W from Home Depot on 11/17/15 for over $2000. We loved the refrigerator until 9/14/18 when we discovered the refrigerator was not cooling, the ice maker not working, the freezer not working, and food in the freezer thawed. My husband spent many hours on the phone, only to find nobody willing to service LG refrigerators. Upon reviewing the horror stories experienced by very, very many other owners of LG refrigerators, we decided to simply cut our losses and purchased a new Kitchen Aid refrigerator from a local family owned store. Our over $2000, less than 3 year old LG refrigerator will be going to the recycler. It is most disappointing to see LG show such lack respect for their customers who have spent their hard earned money on this product. It seems apparent from all the reviews that LG has known for sometime that their product was defective, but where is their effort for correction. We will not ever purchase another LG product again and have advised everyone we know of our experience.

LG REFRIGERATOR LMXS30776 - Back again...after 1 month of compressor being replaced, after a month to obtain part, now there are leaks in the coils. At what point should this piece of metal be replaced! Paid $3,000.00 for this item and have only had 2 years. Trying to get it repaired with the extended warranty cost me missed work and money, food and money to eat out until repaired. 1 month later I am back at square one. I have pictures of food lost and a man in my refrigerator trying to figure it out. Who and when will LG step up and get me a new refrigerator! Additional, my husband had to assist with remove parts and pulling out the refrigerator. Something I could not have done. I AM READY FOR A REPLACEMENT!

We bought a LG side by side refrigerator 7/22/2015. It is now 7/3/2019 and the freezer and refrigerator are dead. Based on all the reviews I have read it is the compressor and it might take LG 10 days to 2 weeks to have someone come and check it out and then another 2 weeks waiting on parts. I think we will just throw it out on the street. we transferred all the still frozen things to a 19 year old Amana that is still running while the 4 year old LG junk is dead. I bought this product from the factory floor, a year and half the ice maker fails and purchase the part and replace. Now it is three years old, and completely fail to keep cool anything within, is that not annoying, old model refrigerator wont have this after 10 years or more. This is 3 damn years and wont work right, what a BS is this. 3K is just throw in the dirt, do I trust the repairman do the good job last few more years, I dont think so. I would rather buying other brand and throw the trash. Whoever plan to purchase LG refrigerator be careful, dont trash your money. It looks good in the house kitchen floor but not working good.

The shelves also started to break about that time. It looks disgusting and I called LG for remedy and they said for me to do regular maintenance! This refrigerator is made with weak plastic parts and cheap plastic mechanisms that crack and break after a few months, including the hinge mechanism for the door. I spend over $100 on replacement parts; one of the spare parts that I got in the mail was defective. I have never ever owned a refrigerator that required repair work for the shelves and drawers or any other component. Do not buy LG refrigerator. They are poorly designed and are costly to repair. Additionally, this refrigerator does not hold the temperature well and is not good for storing meat, especially chicken or fish.

I am another LG customer who is very disappointed to have rust around the bleach dispenser. I purchased this washing machine 4 years ago. I contacted LG customer services by email & got the following response back: The rust in your washing machine liquid bleach dispenser area is a result of the detergent or other additives being spilled that have not been wiped clean. Chlorine bleach is corrosive & will erode the finish if not cleaned immediately. If any spills should happen make sure to wipe it up immediately & the area cleaned with warm water & a soft cloth. Touch-up paint may be used to cover the area, if not service may be necessary. This is a bleach dispenser for petes sake & I dont spill bleach all over the area, just into the plastic opening where you are supposed to pour it. The rust has formed around & underneath the plastic cover, and I have cleaned the area on various occasions. I am not a happy camper having spent a lot of money purchasing a washer & dryer from LG. I thought I was going to get quality merchandise that would last for many years but unfortunately that is not the case. Very disappointed & wont be replacing any other kitchen appliances from this company.

Bought my LG refrigerator 5 years ago to the day and the freezer and fridge wont cool - at room temperature. Called customer service and they said someone could come out on the 18th which doesnt work because I have a fridge full of food. They said that they could provide me with a list of authorized LG repairmen and I could use them for warranty work. They confirmed that my fridge was under warranty when I provided the serial number. I was emailed a list and when I called the first company on the list they told me that need an email from LG authorizing the work. I called LG back and was told I had to provide the part numbers to generate the email - obviously I cant answer this question. I convinced them this was impossible and they said they couldnt help because I had no proof of purchase. I told them the previous person had said it was covered and they told me there was no record of my previous call (even though both times I called through the App and provided the serial number and model number). Not sure where to go next.

We purchased a new dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and over the stove microwave oven in 2009 when we renovated our kitchen. We have since had the refrigerator repaired and replaced the dishwasher (with a Kenmore Elite) altogether because the door was leaking and ruined our hardwood floor. We fixed the microwave push button panel once and our stove has never functioned properly. The flames do not come out of the stove top in an even pattern. Now our push button panel on the microwave has quit working again (less than two months after it was replaced for malfunctioning before). These were all bought from Home Depot, brand new. I would not say anything bad about LG with a problem occurring in only one appliance in that period of time, but all four appliances having problems? I will never purchase LG again. I can assure you I will tell everyone I know not to purchase this brand of anything since four different appliances have proved faulty/non-functioning.

My LG refrigerator has failed for the 4th time in less than 4 years; 2 compressors and 2 evaporators. I paid $2,999 for the refrigerator from Sears. On August 21st my refrigerator failed and I called to schedule service. The agent on the phone asked me a few questions and confirmed that it was a sealed system issue. The next available service was Sept 5. I live in a large city so it should not be this difficult to get service. The next day I spoke to the local LG servicer. After I explained that the sealed system has failed 3 other times they told me they could not service the refrigerator since they did not do the prior work. They went on to say that it was LGs policy to replace a refrigerator on the 4th sealed system issue. On Aug 22, I finally I spoke to someone in LG Consumer Relations and was told that my refrigerator qualifies for a buy back. The last sealed system issue was less than a year ago and I could request a buy back. I was told It would take 3-4 days for the final dollar amount to be determined and another 4 weeks to receive a check. As requested I sent in my Proof of Purchase using the web link emailed to me. On Aug 24th I called LG service for an update and was told I had not sent my Proof of Purchase, I sent it a second time and verified that it was received. Again I was told 3-4 days to receive the final offer details. I called today, Aug 30th, and was transferred 4 times. I am now told that someone had not followed through on the case and it would be another 3-4 working days before a decision would be made. What recourse do I have?

Just move along, people, move along. Nothing to look at here... keep on moving, over to the other part of the appliance department, the area that has anything BUT LG. You have worked hard for your money, dont waste it on LGs products that offer a huge warranty on the motor, but rust out in under a year. Sure, theyre cute, they sing to you, they are curvy where your last washer/dryer was boxy... dont be deceived. In under a year this washer has gone from being the superstar of the house, to a tired shadow of its former self. The bleach dispenser rusted almost immediately and now, the appliance can only be used to wash dark clothes, ones that the rust stains will not show upon. Thats real nice, an $1,100 machine that can only do 1/3 of my wash. Maybe when I replace it - which will be very soon - the motor with its warranty can be re-purposed to drive a pottery wheel. Ultimately, it was designed for it - making everything it touches dirty instead of clean. Skip this washer, the dryer too. Go with Costco. At least there is some semblance of customer satisfaction there AND you neednt speak Tagalog to get it.

This is long, lots to cover. When our old fridge died over Memorial Day Wee
This is long, lots to cover. When our old fridge died over Memorial Day Weekend in 2015, we were rushed to replace it --- and have regretted that ever since. We purchased an LG French door fridge at a major retailer, with just the one day to do research (because, our old one had died and wed already lost a couple hundred dollars in perishable food and had kids to feed). The linear compressor promised to be quiet, efficient, and durable - the literature boasts that an officially proven 20-year-durable lifespan realizes your peace-of-mind.At first, it was great - because it was new. Just ten months in, however, we began having problems as the fridge developed a clicking sound when the fan (compressor?) kicked on, and then a couple weeks later got an error code on the panel and the fridge stopped cooling. We lost another fridge full of groceries, and called LG for repair. It was well under warranty, being just one year old.The technician they dispatched called us before showing up, and told us this is a common problem - and that we have to defrost our frost-less new fridge when we hear that clicking because it means ice is building up inside on the fan. OK... So we did that, and the fridge began working again (this is in May/June 2016). Then, like clockwork yearly, we would hear the clicking and do the overnight defrost (2017, and 2018).So again it began clicking again in early July 2019, and we got ready to do the same thing - except instead, the fridge just quit working entirely on July 9th 2019 while we were at work and we came home to a flooded kitchen (from the melted ice) and once again, had to toss a fridge full of perishable foods (second time with this fridge). We unplugged it and left it overnight to defrost, as before, and plugged it back in on the 10th (empty). Left it for the day while at work, and when we came home the inside of the fridge was over 70*, clearly not cooling, but no errors on the panel, so I called LG for service on July 11th. This begins the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any manufacturer.July 11th: talked to condescending service rep who eventually agreed that we needed a service call. Scheduled it for July 16th (earliest available), and gave me a confirmation number which I read back. I arranged to take a half-day off work to be home for the 8-12 hour window. He says that luckily Im still within the 5-year warranty; I tell him my paperwork says it is 7 years warranty. He updates my account... Then assures me that the parts are covered under the warranty and I will only have to pay the labor for the service call.July 16th: at 11am, I called LG to check the ETA of the tech so I could update my office on when I would be in. Was told that my tech had just finished a call in a town 15 minutes from me, and that I was next on his list. At 12:15 still no tech, so I called back --- and was told that my service was completed. Spent quite a bit of time on the phone to learn that the confirmation number I was given was for someone else, and that I had no service call scheduled after all. I was quite angry, as Id stayed home for this and had been without a fridge for a week already. The person I spoke to said she was in the escalation department and she promised to call me within an hour with a resolution to get my fridge fixed, that her supervisors assured her it would be done that day.At 1:40 I called back (because, surprise - no call from LG and no tech) even angrier because I was no closer to a working fridge AND now Id lost a full day of work without pay. Im not allowed to talk to the same person I spoke to at 12:15, because she is helping other customers... Am told there is no way they can fix my fridge today but they will dispatch my call to an authorized service repair center, who would schedule a new service date. An hour later I get a call from said service repair center ---- who informed me that they dont service my area because they are in a different STATE. Yep, that last LG rep sent to the wrong repair center. So I call LG again (4th time this day), and this time Im told that I have to wait for the system to call me to schedule something, but that would be either today or tomorrow. Its 3:30 at this point. The rep cant help any further. Next day, by 4pm, still no call so I phone LG again. This rep tells me it can take 3-5 days for the system to call me to schedule something.... Each time I call, Im given a different scenario, none of which are getting my fridge fixed. The next day (July 18th), I get an email cancelling my appointment - which I havent been able to make so I dont know what this is for. July 19th: I call again because still nothing and its been ten days since my fridge broke. This rep is able to schedule a service call (what happened to the system??), and we set it for July 24th, next available day.July 23rd: given the absurd hassle Ive had to deal with to get this fridge fixed, I call in to confirm my appointment for the next day because I cant lose yet another day from work and have no tech show up. Am told parts were ordered on the 19th (which parts? the ones that always break, that fancy compressor that is supposed to be so great and durable but only lasted four years). This time the rep tells me that they have extended a courtesy warranty to cover the labor in addition to the parts, and that they received a couple of complaints. I have talked to 8 different LG customer service reps by this time, expressing many complaints from me on this whole fiasco, especially against that first rep who didnt bother to schedule a tech at all and cost me a days wages. The rep also said a grocery reimbursement would be sent in a couple of weeks for the inconvenience. This is the first Ive heard about this option.July 24th: my fridge is finally fixed, with a new compressor. The tech did not charge us for the visit, so at least that part LG honored. Fifteen days to get the fridge fixed, replacing a part that was the big selling point, four years and two months after we bought it. We lost tons of perishable food from the fridge and freezer (it holds a lot!), and two full days of work without pay. For two weeks weve had to eat out/eat convenience food because a picnic cooler just doesnt work that well to hold perishable foods that long, and its the middle of summer; it is an expensive way to eat! Now we wait for whatever grocery reimbursement they deem sufficient to compensate us, and count the days until the fridge breaks again, hoping it is still under warranty when it does. I dont trust this fridge at all. But we paid $3k for it, and cant afford to replace it yet. The environmental impact of manufacturers building appliances that fail after just a few years has got to be enormous and I wish there were lemon law type of things we consumers could count on for better durability.

I had a service contract and Best Buy was great in sending a repair person to troubleshoot and ultimately replaced the motor. My LG refrigerator started making a different sound about 3 months ago. Now, my LG refrigerators compressor died at 3.5 years old, with all of the contents spoiled and lost. Its been going on 2 weeks to get LGs attention on this matter. This is so un-American to have a refrigerator manufacturer NOT back up their product! Model LFXS27466S. My service technician is all ready to repair it, but processing the authorization letter from LG is stagnant. It appears that obstructing progress with excuses is common from LG, making consumers so frustrated that they give up.My refrigerator is not one of the 60 models mentioned in the class action lawsuit settlement regarding LGs refrigerator issues, but it suffered the same demise. Paul, my service technician mentioned that LGs faulty design causes undue and uneven pressures inside the split-coil system that ultimately ruins the compressor prematurely. $650 labor, $325 parts, $400 in lost/spoiled food from fridge and freezer. Still waiting for a repair. Very disappointed in LG refrigerators, their repair process and support.

WRONG!!!I NEVER write online reviews. This experience is so shockingly horrible I had to submit a review. The ice in the door constantly melts and refreezes. When it refreezes it bonds the giant chunk of ice from the ice maker to the door. You need an icepick or a crowbar to then remove the ice maker from the door. Of course, as soon as you pry it apart, the entire bin of ice and melted water drops onto the floor and all around your feet. The melted ice block fills every nook 6 inches deep into the ice maker. Again, using an icepick you can chop up the ice and use your vacuum or spoons to extract all the ice.Home Depot wont touch this. Refer you to LG Customer Service. Took multiple calls and LG over the phone told us it was our fault and we must be leaving refrigerator door open too long and were melting the ice. They told us to open the refrigerator door NO MORE THAN 1-2 TIMES PER DAY??? Finally, they sent a technician. The technician reviewed the fridge and told me LG is terrible and he sees this all the time. However, his report back to LG indicated he found no issues. LG issued report to us that we need to TURN OFF THE ICEMAKER every night before bed and empty the bin. In the morning we can turn the ice maker back on but that we MUST USE ALL THE ICE EACH DAY OR TURN IT OFF. They claim the ice maker is so efficient and meant to make more ice than we can use because they were getting complaints it wouldnt make enough ice. So weve been turning the ice maker on and off each day - which makes us open the refrigerator doors twice a day by the way. And the problem is still there. Thanks LG!! What a waste of $2200. A waste of many peoples time in your games and a ridiculous strategy. Buyers are savvy and expect more than stupid answers. A very unsatisfied customer who is also a realtor and refers people to buy new appliances all the time! Will make sure people dont buy LG for sure!

Bought 2 LG LRBP1031T cabinet-depth fridges brand new from AJ Madison for a high-end vacation rental property. After just four months, one of them failed and stopped blowing cool air into the fridge section. As a result, all food spoiled, and my five-star property was given a bad rating based on the horrible quality of LG fridges breaking down. It took more than a week for a rep to come view the problem, and now they are saying parts are back-ordered and will take another week or so to get the parts in. DO NOT BUY LG FRIDGES!

I purchased brand new appliances in 2016 with them being delivered in spurts due to back orders. The dishwasher Model LDT9965bd was delivered on January 30, 2016 and not installed for a few weeks later. These are top of the line LG projects in black ice. I noticed the finish deterioration on the left side on 2/7/17 so I contacted ABC Warehouse on 2/7/17 and my salesman referred me to their LG customer service. I call the next morning and they refer me to LG directly because they say the warranty was up on January 30, 2017. I did not purchase an extended warranty on this item like I did my fridge and stove. Upon sending my photos she asks me how I clean it. I dont use product on the item and only wipe with a damp dish towel on top where the buttons are. To be honest the dishwasher does not need that much cleaning on the outside (sounds accusatory to me). She proceeds to tell me to call service repair and provided me a local number that I have not called as it will be a cost to me for them to come out. The finish on my black ice dishwater is coming off around the handle on both sides and I have only had it installed since late February 2016. I told her to forget it that I would take this up with my sales rep. At this point I would not recommend LG products if this does not get addressed at no charge. THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. I will not stop until this is fixed at their expense since I spent $1,000 on this item. I thought I was buying quality.Updated on 11/29/2017: Here we go again with the same issue Im going to complain about again. The black ice finish is coming off near the left handle of the dishwasher as I noticed last night. The skin was replaced last year on 2/11/17 and its now almost 10 months later and its happening again. I will again, make some calls to get someone out to replace this at their expense on this expensive item. By the way, I agree with a lot of the complaints about the LG dishwashers. They do not clean well and I hate everything about the inside. Tines to thin, dishes fall over, not cleaned well etc... I miss my old stuff and it was not even broken. I had purchased all new since I had to replace my fridge. The saga will continue.

When we had bought lg double doors refrigerator around 2 years back we were given 10 years warranty for compressor. Now when we complained about compressor saying that it is making lots of noise and therefore technician visit is required to see what is the problem. LG customer care representative said visit will be charged and I would need to pay 500 + ST. If I am paying now then what is the meaning of 10 years warranty. I feel cheated. Please be careful while buying lg products as they seem to be making false promises.

We bought a home that had a completely remodeled kitchen with a brand new LG LRFD25850ST refrigerator (French door style, with freezer below). It is a beautiful LOOKING appliance. The ice maker works. Thats the only nice thing I can say about it. When you open the doors, in just a few seconds it starts beeping the open door alarm. This is not a defect. It is designed that way. The problem is that the time before the alarm goes off is not settable, and it comes on so soon that you cannot possibly put groceries away before if relentlessly goes off. In fact, its darn hard to even get things OUT of the fridge without it going off.Everything plastic on the inside of this fridge is made of a cheap, brittle grade of plastic. The produce bin doors and wide lower drawer have all cracked and broken multiple times in multiple places. The front support plastic edge on the lower shelf cracked in several places and started to sag. Some PVC plastic pipe cement and my own supplies of plastic to reinforce it have kept it in shape, but most people will not be able to make repairs like this and they will end up with the cover doors drawers all broken and coming apart. One day it just started accumulating a big thick sheet of ice in the bottom of the freezer. After months of just chipping it out of there in big chunks before it started to melt at the front edge and run water all over the floor (which it did multiple times), we went away for a week, so we took out all the food and shut the thing off. After 5 days of being off and completely dethawing, it stopped creating that ice sheet. I assume the defrost draining tube was blocked somewhere.Temperature distribution throughout the fridge is very unpredictable. Sometimes the ice cream is soft, sometimes hard as a rock, sometimes the milk is too warm while other things in the fridge annoyingly freeze hard as a rock, or vice versa. The light bulb compartment cracks and deforms. The cover is very hard to get off, and the bulbs are very hard to unscrew. I dont know how a simple thing like a light socket can be made poorly, but these are. And cover has melted and deformed from the bulb heat (and we are not using incorrect lamps. They are 15w small appliance bulbs).

Our washer (LGWM2301H) was purchased 3.5 years ago. Recently, it developed a grinding sound that was amplified when spinning. A repairman charged me $80 to tell me that the bearings were going and, OF COURSE, that particular problem was not covered under the warranty (whatever the hell is), and that the repair would cost more than $500.My husband and I are both a little shy of 70 years young and do just a few loads a week. Also, we have used numerous AMERICAN-made washers in our lives that never broke down but just were replaced due to age. This expensive LG was a treat for my retirement; my husband wanted me to have the BEST. Well, as it turned out, we bought the BEST of the Asian junk market or wherever this jewel was conceived - LG has taken care not to provide that information. It has been hauled away today and been replaced by an ALL AMERICAN-MADE MAYTAG top loader. The downside of this is that LG screwed us out of $800. (I could have had my laundry sent out for that amount.) But the upside is that, hopefully, LG will continue to put out junk and screw itself out of the market with the rest of the junk producers. It is refreshing to know that the MAYTAG IS ONCE AGAIN COMPLETELY MADE IN AMERICA, BY AMERICANS - WITH COPPER WIRING AND NO ALUMINUM JUNK . Go for it, LG. I can only hope that you will continue digging your own grave.

Lg seems to have better products than most companies. They look better and have better functionality and for the price they cant be beat. Weve had our LG fridge for 8 years and not 1 problem. We had to special order the size and we couldnt have made a better pick. Its sleek and has plenty of room despite being smaller than the standard fridge. I like the bottom freezer, it has a drawer so it really maximizes the space in the freezer. If I had to change anything it would be on the outside. Because it is a smooth shiny black, fingerprints show badly on it as well as any dirt or food so I constantly have to wipe it down which isnt a dealbreaker for me because Im OCD anyway.

Contacted LG service, tech came out found nothing. Took pictures of the finished wash with soap stains sent them to LG, another tech arrived and tried to solve the problem. No luck. Called again. Still no satisfaction. Finally after fourth tech I had a tech make a suggestion that seems to work. LG engineers in their infinite wisdom of trying to make a washing machine that is water efficient failed. The machine senses how much water based upon the weight of the items in the tub which basically doesnt wash squat. So by having the machine first wet the clothes and restarting the cycle the load is now heavier and the machine increases the amount of water in the tub to accommodate the heavier load. Now you have enough water to actually wash clothes! Seems a stupid way to get a machine to work, but it appears to solve the problem. Basically LG engineers need to learn how to actually test their product before sucking the consumer into buying junk!

Gas knobs on my LG 30 freestanding gas convection range (model number LRG3097ST) have malfunctioned twice; each time, theyre causing gas leaks. When my husband called, we got 4 replacement knobs with the identical issue. The issue is the plastic inserts - they break and they continue to break. This is a known issue! In my humble opinion, there should have been a recall issued a while ago on this; and you dont have to be a NASA rocket scientist to figure that out. I looked at the complaints the customers have made against the LG line, and its been going strong since 2009. I am not sure what the Consumer Protection Board is waiting on. But Im hoping to at least use this venue to get the message out. The rest of the oven works wonderfully, but the gas leak from those knobs should be addressed, and if not by LG, at least by our own Consumer Protection Board.

The LG steam washer I purchased about 3 years ago has been problematic and I would strongly advise against purchasing one of these units. The malodorous tub in this front loader is likely secondary to the water retention within the gasket Despite leaving the door open to dry, something unnecessary in any top loader, the musty black mildew persists! Obviously an engineering design flaw, the tub cannot empty completely. Despite leveling this machine on a concrete floor with the drawer pedestal, the machine shakes and rattles and dances over the concrete floor. The machine will never stay in one place despite attempts to keep it there irrespective of load weights. This machine is a piece of junk and LG will not listen to these complaints. Waste of money should have bought the Miele. All of their products are superbly German engineered! Please enlist a class action suit. The trailing entries are testament to the litany of problems.

We need to all band together and fight the unjustified ethics of LG. Ive contacted an attorney; well see what happens. P.S... and YES the clothes & washer do stink just like LG company. My husband and I bought one of our first brand new appliances last April when we purchased our first home. It was an LG dishwasher and let me just start off by saying that it is the worst appliance I have ever used, which is completely disappointing. Out of all of the machines I have used in my life this one wins the prize of worst dishwasher. First of all, when I am busy cleaning the kitchen I have got to remember to pull out the bottom rack slowly and carefully, otherwise it will just fall off the track. To say there is a track though isnt really accurate. It seems like LG just decided to throw some wheels on the rack and call it a day. Dont get me wrong, I dont come in like a raging bull and just throw everything open. I just dont think it should have to be in my mind to remember to open slowly so things dont get all thrown off. Its very annoying.Another issue I have is that the dishwasher doesnt clean! The normal cycle will not clean my dishes. I have to use the heavy duty option in order for them to come out even a little clean. I have always rinsed my dishes before putting them in any dishwasher I have ever used, but this one requires my dishes to be put in completely spot free. If they are not spot free, they do not come out clean. It really is almost pointless to even use our LG dishwasher. Last but not least, the soap dispenser gets stuck quite often! I run the dishwasher on the heavy duty cycle for almost 3 hours, and find out the soap dispenser didnt even open! We bought our machine from Home Depot in Pontiac, MI and cant imagine buying another LG appliance. We were excited to have our first new appliance but were let down. Lifes good but LG dishwashers are not.

Every time I use the ice maker on my LG refridgerator, I hate it even more. Tonight is a good example, where I just needed a few ice cubes for a glass of scotch. More than 20 minutes later, I finally finished cleaning up the mess from the ice maker being frozen up and unable to dispense ice cubes. The resolution, as always, was to take everything apart to unblock the dispenser that was loaded with a frozen chunk of ice cubes and frost, which is likely due to the flap on the dispenser getting stuck open for some reason. This is NOT a one time occurence but one Ive been dealing with since the fridge was purchased more than 3 years ago. This combined with its ridiculously slow time to make ice has convinced me to NEVER, EVER buys another LG product. My contacting LG for support was an insult - everything was my fault and they stood by their claim that they were perfect and I was a nuisance for having contacted them. Ive had similar experiences with contacting them about their ranges, where the front edge of the stove top kept getting chip marks. Turns out they no longer sell a paint to fix these chips and asking them why was met with indifference. Methinks this is because theyre trying to avoid the liability of them having sold a product that has inferior paint or a large batch of ranges with faulty paint.

I bought an LG dishwasher based on the positive reviews, however, 18 months in, it quit and the faulty part is not covered under any warranty. So my $700 dishwasher (got it on sale so that was good) is now a $1200 dishwasher. Its large and cool, but in my opinion not worth $1200. LG knows this part fails, the repair tech showed us how the panel fails due to the heat and moisture that gets in it, and the replacement part has an epoxy coating that keeps it from doing that. But instead of recalling and replacing the part they KNOW will fail, they make you get the repair BY A LICENSED LG REPAIR PERSON ONLY, and pay for it. How can LG sell a known defective product? The refrigerator we replaced worked well for 27 years. Our warranty was voided because we tried to have it fixed first by a non-accredited LG tech, but it is the compressor that went out and LG has abandoned us in a technicality. And if we had it repaired, in all likelihood it would go out again in 2 years. I love the design and look, but not worth the $3k problem. Wow! Before I bought the LG Model WT5101HW in Aug. 2010, I could not find bad reviews on this washing machine. I wish Id investigated further. It is just as noted in other reviews; not enough water in most cycles, not energy efficient (1:09 hr. cycle will take up to 1:55 hr.), water levels will sometimes leave clothes dry and still dirty. Machine has been recalled and fixed by service representative (which took three trips), constantly going UE and adding water, etc. There is no way to shorten a cycle except rinse and spin or spin only. I found the only thing that works reasonably well for cleaning is the Bulky/Bedding cycle. This seems to load the water based on level rather than the weight method. But it always fills it full, so I make sure the loads warrant the extra water used. I am considering biting the bullet on a different washing machine when the extended warranty expires in about ten months. I will NEVER purchase another LG product. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

I also have had the same issues as others on this thread. Compressor failure at 3 years of ownership is a sure sign this unit (and others within the same model series) are complete garbage. Prior, 3 months after purchasing this unit, we experienced a loud rattling noise which was caused by a fan hitting a build-up of ice on the compressor lines. After multiple tech visits, replacing several items, the entire board or CPU for the unit was replaced. We had no other issues after up until now, 3 years later. Fortunately, we did buy an extended 5-year warranty from the company where it was purchased. This warranty did cover the costs to repair. But, based on my research, the compressor will fail again in time due to onboard firmware issues that are causing the overload.

I purchased an LG electric oven about 2 months ago. Within the first 2 weeks of my purchase, the left front and back burners just stopped working. I called Home Depot, which gave me a number to contact for repair. I explained what happened and the first repair guy came with the stainless steel cover. After waiting all day, I told him that the cover was not the problem. He also agreed he needed the motherboard. So he rescheduled with me to come back. He returned and replaced the board after about a week. About 2 weeks later, the same two burners stopped working so we called back. Again, the repairman came to the house and brought another board and replaced it. This time it worked for 3 days and the same burners arent working again. I have called LG and complained each time. They tell me the same thing - that the tech has to determine that it is not fixable. I think this is absurd that you purchased a brand new product and are expected to keep getting it fixed. I purchased plenty of LG products and wanted to keep all the same brand, but you can be sure that I will never purchase an LG product again because they dont stand behind their product. I will be contacting Better Business and if I have to get a lawyer, I will do so. This is not acceptable and should not be tolerated by anyone. If something is faulty you, should get a new one immediately without question.

I’m writing about my disgusting experience with LG in regards to my washer WM4370HKA. I’ve had issues that started only within months of the purchase of this brand new washer. And the first technician that showed up was in DEC of last year, replaced parts and several weeks later the issue occurred once again. Repeatedly my washer doesn’t complete cycles and gets stuck with soaked laundry. It doesn’t clean properly and the clothes never come out smelling fresh. December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, I’ve had more than 3 technicians come to diagnose and attempts to fix the issue. They say they will be calling me back to replace parts but no one does. The issue is still ongoing and LG is denying me any service and has not agreed to my request for a replacement. I’m now ashamed to say that almost all my home appliances are LG because this type of service or lack of, shouldn’t happen. They don’t make you feel like a person, and they will do anything to deny you service. They don’t want to acknowledge that the machine is faulty. 1500 dollars and not even 6 months and it’s giving me hell.

We had bought LG refrigerator. It looks good brand and quality but beware its very bad and it stop working. This is all the LG product I bought, very upset and I will not recommend this product at all. Dishwasher LG not working, had insurance came, they came five times still does not work at all. They DID something and no steam working, does not clean. Well its a mess.LG stove - o my god the knobs are plastic and bad quality. They send twice, still melts and poor quality and when you turn the knob it breaks because its plastic not metal. Now the knobs dont work, it goes all around and dont do what it suppose to do, I can go on and on. Bad quality. Beware dont buy this. I will not even recommend it to my worst enemy.Beware LG are not good products. My sister have Maytag and her products are still working and she bought for less money. We bought this product waste a lot of money. All piece of cant say the word but Im very upset. So people please dont buy this product. Come to my house and you will see what I mean how they look and how bad they are. Now I need save up and buy all but this time it will not be a LG products for sure. Please LG clean up your mess and do something to those like me trusted your product and ended up with piece of junk not working.

This review was for model # WM0642H (approximately five years old, purchased new). The fill sensor failed, and when the recommended appliance repair firm ordered the replacement it was supposed to come with a new fill hose. It didnt, the part is apparently unavailable. They told me purchase a new washing machine.

Just another complaint about an LG front load washer not being able to complete the spin cycle due to the load not being able to balance. Many have suggested dumping the LG and getting another brand. Often the other brands have the same issues. Samsung is one. Another problem is who is actually making the other brands, such as Maytag, etc. Often you just exchange brands, then you exchange terrible customer service centers, poor customer service centers, poor warranty service. In an attempt to make these products more feature rich, they become too complex, too problematic, too difficult and expensive to fix. I am sure that the companies are overwhelmed with complaining customers. If they get in a pattern of fixing a few machines, then all users will expect their machines to get fixed. The companies are not going to do that. Hence, the customer suffers. There should be more consumer protections regarding these products and their repairs.
