I started noticing small holes in my clothes, which baffled me. I’m worried that maybe we had moths, so I took out all of my clothes, emptied the closets, re-washed, and dried them. Now, all of my clothes had holes in it. I did some research online to discover that cracked drums in LG are fairly common :( I looked inside my dryer, and lo and behold, there was in fact a crack, and the crack was what was ripping all my clothes. LG was bought at Home Depot. I had to wait over a week to get someone in to fix it. All my clothes are ruined. I will never buy LG again. Also, the washer gets stuck on 9 minutes any time you wash towels, and it routinely overflows with soap even if I use HE detergent and fill it to well below the normal level indicated in the soap receptacle.

I purchased a new LG Microwave Nov, 2018. It stopped heating during the coronavirus. I went to LG who said they might be able to help, but nobody ever called or emailed. They said unplug it and plug it back in thru Facebook. I called their recommended service provider and they said it would be cheaper to just get a new one. I waited a couple of weeks, and still havent heard so we had to go buy a brand new microwave. DO NOT BUY LG. All they had to do was fix it or refund me. This is absolutely the worst time to go without a microwave and have terrible service on top of it.

I have a stainless steel LG French Door Refrigerator that I purchased from Home Depot. After approximately 1 year, the refrigerator front seal ripped. When I contacted LG, the stated comment was that they had never had this problem reported before, and it now was not covered by warranty because of the time limit. It is not covered by the store warranty that I bought as it only covers mechanical problems. Frequently, the ice maker freezes (and the door tray simply cannot be removed - poor design) requiring me to use a hair dryer to thaw it out. What a problem! This is not covered by warranty. I contacted LG about this problem, no response. Personally, I would never buy another LG product.

We had purchased a LG washing machine from Best Buy less than a year ago and have had constant problems with it since. Soon after we installed it in our new house we had it leak water throughout the night from the front of the washing machine. After contacting LG about it they did a test on it (over the phone, as it was a smart washing) and said it was OK to use. Against the better judgement of my wife she went ahead and used it and the same thing happened again, but this time worse. The water created about $8600.00 in damages, had floor damage, water in the vents that collapsed the AC vent under the house, and mold starting to appear on our walls. Fortunately we had our own house insurance which covered out expense, and we had to pay a small $250.00 deductible. After explaining the situation to LG, they asked us to send them a damage report and all the information which we did, they refused to replace the washing machine and instead sent a technician out to fix it, who came out four separate times to fix it. He said that there was a fault with the machine and we were afraid that it would happen again. LG also told us that because the washing machine was a display model that we purchased it was not under warranty. When I called through customer service to ask them if I purchased a display model from Best Buy would it be covered by warranty, they said yes (a direct contradiction to what was told.) I asked them for a transcript to verify that which they sent. After 4 attempts to fix the problem they still wouldnt change the machine or give us our money back, and we ended up having to pay out of our pocket for the technician to come out. To this day we still have a faulty washing machine. After calling them several times to try and get my deductible back from LGs own insurance company they kept telling me that they would call me in two days, and never did. This happened three separate occasions and it has been about 6 months since the accident happened, and they have been in possession of all the documentation for around 3-4 months and have done nothing about it. We are very disappointed in their service and do not expect them to do anything about our situation. This is the first time Ive complained online to any company, but I feel that other consumers need to know.

DANGEROUS MICROWAVE! Not even a year old and some interior paint chipped after approx. 6 mos. of this brand new LG Microwave. It caused sparking and smelled like something was burning. It more than likely could have caught fire if I didnt catch it right away by pressing Stop on the control panel. There was exposed metal inside around the door area where the paint chipped. I didnt return it cause I lost the receipt (I have bank info cause I paid with my Debit Card). I never purchase insurance cause I have been ripped off so much with that. I cant afford to buy another microwave so I put some appliance paint on the chipped area let it dry overnight. It did work, however a few months later it chipped and again MORE SPARKING in a different area. Repeated the process with the appliance paint and again it worked. Shouldnt have to worry about this. I dont walk away when using this microwave cause its DANGEROUS!I was also unhappy with this LG Microwave due to it being LOUD, HARD TO SEE CONTROL PANEL, COOKS VERY HOT (OVERCOOKS USING THE CONTROL PANELS TIMED COOKING & TEMP eg... Potatoes, Popcorn etc. I did read reviews prior to purchasing and some of the issues can be overcome, however not the FIRE HAZARD ISSUE! I was surprised to see 4-5 star reviews. I truly believe they are filtered cause I tried to place this review on LGs site and it was not posted? Consumers need to know Buyer Beware.

I purchased an LG refrigerator about 3 months ago. The first week I had it the door In door kept popping open. Weeks later the freezer would build up ice and I had difficulty opening and closing the freezer. I contacted LG and they sent a repairman who did not fix my problem. LG then sent a repairman to fix the freezer. The day he left the freezer stopped opening. I am now unable to access my freezer to get food for my kids. I’ve had to go grocery shopping just to have food. I have called customer service several times and been promised that I would be contacted to schedule a service call. To date no one has called me despite 4 calls to LG. I even spoke to a supervisor on Tuesday who promised me I would be contacted and still no phone call.

Bought French Door fridge with ice and water dispenser about 18 months ago.
Bought French Door fridge with ice and water dispenser about 18 months ago. Had minor problems, but were able to solve them. Today, at 5pm when my service provider is gone until Monday morning, the refrigerator started to emit a burning rubber/Teflon-like smell along with a chemical smell that is sort of sweet. Hard to describe, but it has given me a headache. We pulled the fridge out from its niche and dusted the vents, which we do every couple of months anyway. The smell is still there but it seems to have abated because we opened the windows (its 20 degrees outside so now I have a headache AND I am freezing). According to the door panel, the temperature in both freezer and fridge is constant and not dropping or rising, so that is good.Does anyone have similar experiences and do you know what it might be? I was able to get hold of someone from the company I bought it from - I bought an extended warranty from them - and he said he had no idea what it could be and hes never heard of anything like that on an LG. Said that it might be dust or dog hair - NOPE. I am afraid to leave it plugged in when we go to bed. Anyone have any suggestions?

I remodeled my kitchen in 2011 and installed a LG gas range (model LRG3093ST). My range is right at 2 years old. For the last 6 months, the knobs have been splitting and spinning on the posts so that they do not turn the gas totally off. At first I smelled gas and could not figure out what was wrong until one split and lost a chunk of plastic to the point that turning it did not turn the flame off at all. I wrapped wire tightly around the posts to limp along, but now all are broken to the point none will turn on or off the gas. When I contacted LG, I was told they were out of warranty and I would be responsible for the purchase of the knobs. I told MCM Electronics, which they referred me to, that I would buy more knobs if they are better quality - not plastic. However, they are only authorized to sell original (defective) parts and they referred me to contact LG directly. After reading these reviews, how does LG get away with continuing to provide defective parts of any kind that are dangerous? If this were a car, the units would be recalled or new replacement parts would have to be upgraded. Leaking gas and fires can kill as well as car accidents. I will certainly do better research before purchasing any appliance again in the future - I am sure it will not be LG.

I purchased an LG refrigerator double door, bottom freezer ice maker and its non working after only 6 months and have called repeatedly for service... its under warranty. They first sent someone out that doesnt even work on refrigerators and now going into week 3 saying they will call in 2 business days to schedule. And the more I called its now 3 to 5 business days just to get an appointment set which hasnt happened yet! Ive thrown out hundreds of dollars in food! I never have bought LG in the past. Always stuck with Samsung and I should have not ever switched brands... lesson learned. I feel like since they cant get a service person out here a full replacement should be in order and when I said I DID want to do a survey I was never given that call. When I told the man on the phone I wanted to make a complaint... he said, Maam other than it not working what do you need to complain about? And did not send me to another extension to even do that or take a formal complaint himself. What the heck is with this company. I will NEVER buy this brand again in any product...

Purchased a very expensive LG washing machine. The leak had been ongoing for a couple of years and was caused by a very cheap neoprene gasket (20p to replace) behind the soap draw, this in turn leaked onto the main PCB at the bottom front left of the machine causing this board to fail with a loud bang. The reason why I am not going to buy an LG appliance again is two fold. Very well made appliance (mostly) yet a small cheap component failed after just 2 years which then lead to a major component failure with no real noticeable warning. Replacement parts are as expensive as a new cheaper machine. Customer services is diabolical I had to email the UK CEO just to get customer services to call me back and yes of course the problem was denied (despite many other cases on the internet) as a known fault. Conclusion buy 3 cheaper machines for the price of 1 LG......... SIMPLES. This is known by LG customer services yet they choose to deny its a known problem.

RUST! Rust around bleach tray, lid lock, cabinet top edge, top at every penetration, and leaking, brown rust water from the lid hinges, then along back edge of lid. Rust began appearing less than three years after purchase but that is only when we noticed it erupting on outer surface. Opening the lid shows that it was probably rusting after first use. Besides all the cabinet parts and pieces rusting, it appears that most, if not all the internal screws, nuts, and washer holding it together are also severely rusted and especially concerning, the arms that the tub hang on are well rusted and three of four mounting washers for these arms (they support the wash tub, liner, and motor) are so severely rusted that I expect the supports to fail any day. It looked pretty when new and it was expensive but now, in less than three years, its junk! A warning to everyone to beware of ALL LG appliances.

I purchased my washer 7/17/2014. On or about 3 weeks ago I noticed a little puddle of water on the floor. I didnt think much about it, then the next day I was washing a load of clothes, and the little puddle became a flood. I called Lowes, Moreno Valley, California where I purchased the machine, and told my salesperson what had happened. he stated, Lets just bring out a new one. That sounded like a good idea since the machine was less than 2 months old. Then I was told, We have to have a tech come out and see what the problem is, before we can do an exchange. Ok, well the tech was scheduled for the next week. I work, so I had to arrange for someone to be at my house for the tech. (in the meantime - Lowes did send out a loaner machine, I have to do laundry. So the tech came out, and because the machine was not hooked up, he said he couldnt do anything and Lowes would have to have someone come and put the washer back in the laundry room. I called and spoke with my salesperson. So now they are going to send another tech out and will have their people come and hook up the washer. The men that came out and took the loaner away and put my washer in the laundry room, managed to put a scratch on the front of my washer. The next day the tech arrives, he tells me there is a hole in the pump, and he will have to order the part. I call Lowes, and am once again told that they will send out a loaner until my washer can be repaired, so here it is Friday 3 weeks later, no washer, and told that Lowes will have someone come out and paint the scratch. First the manager said he would knock of 10% of what I paid for the machine. Is he crazy? I had a new machine, looks like a used one. My complaint is with both LG and Lowes. Both places have given me the runaround, and the worst customer service.

It is a basic fridge with no special features: comes standard ice maker. It has the side by side freezer and cooler which is nice in its self. First of all, these products need to be simplified on the manufacturing to save the environment. I dislike the fact that I did not get any cool features, I do have a basic model. I wanted a smart fridge, but you have to make a ton of money in order to afford one decent feature. I dislike the fact that certain features do not come as standard. I initially chose this product due to the price and not the features. In 2019, they should really have standard luxury features. None of these companies really care about the customer, its all about a profit.

Got this LG top of the line unit October 2015. Within a month the water began filling through the detergent AND softener trays simultaneously. Did the digital wifi help thing dozens of times with my cellphone, they said nothing wrong, clean your inlet filters. What??? By December the tub failed to fill with enough water at all to wash anything, regardless which tray side was filling from. A load of Pure Colors came out literally with dry spots in the clothing! Add to that, the balancer within the direct drive unit was slipping badly, somewhat similar to a bad car clutch, and any size load on any cycle was being violently bashed against the inside frame. Sounded like my front door was being kicked in. So, to sum up, I have $878 worth of scrap in my house that will not fill properly, wash properly or spin properly. I still have 7 more months on the financial contract, and Im sick about it.LG finally hooked me up with an in house service guy --- he never replied to the 2 service calls that were set up --- and closed out both tickets saying customer reported solved. Really? By the way, the name of this place was Als TV and Model Railroad so that about sums up the quality of LG service!!! My lawyer is requesting certified copies of LGs warranty, the financial contract, and my phone and web interactions. I dont want to feel as if my only option is legal action, but I will if LG leaves me no other option.

Update 08/21/2019:After posting this review LG was quick to respond with to a private exchange to stand behind their product. We had several exchanges concluding with me sending them the details and invoice from the LG certified repair company we had used to assess the unit. Unfortunately after this exchange we have received no further communication from LG. They had stated they would stand behind the quality of their product however after more than 2 weeks of silence and a not functioning refrigerator I am losing confidence. I am disappointed that they set the expectation that they would help and then have failed to respond. Not only because I would like their help but I need to decide if I need to buy a new refrigerator. Ironically the short term solve has been to use a 20 year old Amana unit in the garage which has never needed any repairs. Maybe we should go back to a more reliable brand. Original review:We bought an LG refrigerator when we purchased a new home. 5 year and 2 months later the board has gone out, the fan motor isnt working, and our repair man says the defrost is also not working. To fix it will cost more than $1000 with parts and labor. Very disappointed to be needing a new unit after just 5 years.

Had microwave for around 11 months. Glass started to peel on the inside manufacture defect. Contacted LG numerous times sent pictures. Pictures of receipt and delivery receipt first they were going to send me a box and return it then they change their mind and said that before they could give me a refund because they dont repair countertop microwaves. They said first I had to buy a new LG microwave then send them pictures of the old labels cut or destroyed. Of the old microwave then they would give me refund. I proceeded to tell them that I did not want to buy another LG microwave because I thought they were crap and I should not have to buy another of their products. That didnt go over so well. All I wanted was the microwave to be repaired or replaced. I will not be forced to buy another one of their products. I already have the stove and refrigerator that had to be repaired five times in the first year. Part of a companys integrity is stand behind their product when something goes wrong and not forcing you to buy their product but instead encourage you to buy their product again by the service you received when something goes wrong. Now all I can think of is going to college for 8 years to become a lawyer to sue LG over their refund and return policies. But in reality will probably just use their piece of crap microwave for target practice to cite in my rifle.

Please do not buy the LG 400+ ltr double door refrigerator even if it is given free. In a bargain hunting, I purchased a double door digital control LG 420 ltr refrigerator and it was buying a huge pain and trouble for me and my family. With almost Rs. 51,000/- paid through my nose the refrigerator is a horrible experience from the month I purchased. The computer chip got burnt out in 13th month and replaced at my cost of Rs. 4300/-, the compressor had to be replaced in 14th month. Compressor again replaced in 17th month. Even after 2 repairs at my cost the compressor makes heavy noise and the customer support has not been able to set it right even after making payments for service. The quality of the refrigerator is completely below par and in an attempt to cut cost the LG has severely compromised on quality. The customer support is horribly bad and an opaque management. You dare it and make any attempt and you do not get a caring attention. Just rhetoric and evading answers. I have lost thousands of rupees worth goods due to the machine abruptly stopping in the middle of the hot summer. I now seriously repent having purchased this refrigerator to save some Rs. 2000/- against its competitor and today hove lost more than Rs.10,000/- in repair and maintenance in just less than 2 years. Add to this the constant tension of the machine going off when we are out on a holiday, it have never been peace of mind ever since we purchased this refrigerator. Contact me at ** to hear my pains and wish none of you go through such horrible experience. Please do not look at LG refrigerator if you love your peace of mind. Even today if you want to see the problem of high noise compressor, please call and visit us. I only wish that no one elses hard earned money should be wasted in buying a bad product of LG double door digital control refrigerator.

LMXS28626S.ASTCNA0/French Door. I bought it for the good looks, but there are a few annoying and serious design deficiencies in the refrigerator, as follows: 1. The ice maker storage is in the door, which causes the ice inside to clump together and stop making ice if the door is opened for a couple of minutes while cleaning the inside. The storage has to be cleaned out, and sometimes reset, in order to work again. 2. The water dispensing spout is far from the pressing mechanism, and water splashes outside the glass if it is small. I have never experienced this before in any of my previous refrigerators3. The French doors do not stay in place when opened - the left tends to shut, while the right tends to open all the way.

As of today, 2012, all 5 knobs are either loose, fallen off, all completely cracked. It seems that this is a known problem. Im just wondering why, if its a known defect... why isnt it covered. I havent had the refrigerator for 7 years yet so it should be covered. Right?!?! We corrected the problem by taping down the switch that turns on the light in the freezer section. Last night, 4:32 am, the other section started beeping. It beeps for every 30 seconds for about 20 minutes and then stops for a few hours. Id rather not be able to see in my refrigerator than spend hundreds for repair. The temps are fine. Just, buyer beware.

BAD WASHER. I had a Frigidaire washer that lasted 15 years without a problem. Then, I purchased the LG top load washing machine. It constantly goes UE (uneven). I have to monitor it, or it refills and waste gallons of water trying to fix the UE . It loses its mind and sets more time, usually 11 minutes, and then it would refill with water again and again. Clothes never spun out completely. I can say this is the worse machine I have ever owned. It goes out of balance so many times during the wash cycle that it takes hours to wash a load. It keeps filling with water trying to rebalance itself, and I ultimately end up stopping it with the clothes still wet because it will not spin them out. LG told me I have to have repair people out 3 times for same issue before they consider replacing it. Still waiting for an “out of stock part”… three weeks. This is unacceptable! I have already told people that I will never buy an LG product.

We had bought LG refrigerator. It looks good brand and quality but beware its very bad and it stop working. This is all the LG product I bought, very upset and I will not recommend this product at all. Dishwasher LG not working, had insurance came, they came five times still does not work at all. They DID something and no steam working, does not clean. Well its a mess.LG stove - o my god the knobs are plastic and bad quality. They send twice, still melts and poor quality and when you turn the knob it breaks because its plastic not metal. Now the knobs dont work, it goes all around and dont do what it suppose to do, I can go on and on. Bad quality. Beware dont buy this. I will not even recommend it to my worst enemy.Beware LG are not good products. My sister have Maytag and her products are still working and she bought for less money. We bought this product waste a lot of money. All piece of cant say the word but Im very upset. So people please dont buy this product. Come to my house and you will see what I mean how they look and how bad they are. Now I need save up and buy all but this time it will not be a LG products for sure. Please LG clean up your mess and do something to those like me trusted your product and ended up with piece of junk not working.

Our LG range model LRE307578B/01 stopped heating in early December 2013. Called extended warranty company for repair service. Nite Owl Appliance Repairs, Inc. responded and evaluated our range on December 17 saying a relay and heating element were needed. On December 18 the appliance repair company said one of the parts had to be ordered because the LG warehouse did not have the part. Over 2 1/2 months have past and still no parts. Have contacted LG, the repair company and purchasing company (Home Depot) for help to be told parts are on order. Appliances break, I can handle that situation, but waiting for over 2 1/2 months for parts seems beyond reason. I truly believe our range is a lemon and should be replaced. Thank you.

Purchased a brand new top loading washer in April 2021- finally received the washer in July 2021- machine broke down in Sept 2021. After 2 months of use this machine was broken. I called LG customer support and they sent out technician to fix it- he did not, they ordered more parts and again came back - did not fix again. Currently waiting again for them to fix it again. Over 1.5 months of no washer. They should be providing me with a brand new washer instead of having me wait over 1 month to have it fixed. Still broken. Worst customer service and even worse product. How can a brand new washer be broken after 2 months?? Unacceptable. Would never recommend this company or product to anyone!!!

I had dealt with our old washer for years. It would become unbalanced a lot. Clothes would come out with washing detergent, dirt, food and baby poop still on them. We decided to buy a new set and not have to worry anymore. We paid almost $2000.00 for the pair. Its exactly like the old one except were out $1000.00. The dryer is fine. Love it, but HATE, HATE THE WASHER. Scale of 1-10 it gets a 1.

It didnt cost as much as other refrigerators with similar features and styles. Also the place we bought the fridge at had a lot more LG type of refrigerators than any other brand of refrigerators. The features I liked the most about the LG refrigerator was probably that it had an ice maker and water spout built into it with options on how you want your ice (crushed or cubed). I disliked how little ice you were able to get throughout the day considering there are a lot of people in my household, the ice ran out rather quickly.

They were so stubborn and did not want to take responsibility. So they had a workman come out and order basically whole new washer parts to put together. It was ridiculous. It must of cost them twice what the washer cost. When all the ones arrived a different guy came out to put it together. He realized that the problem had been when it was put together at the factory the bleach compartment wasnt hooked up right and had alowed it to seep into the metal parts of the machine. He put what he could together. It works fine now. No more rust but it is loud from having to use part that were somewhat mangled from everyone trying to figure out what the problem was. He did not need to use the outside of the machine or the new drum. I ended up taking them to a metal place to discard. Its a shame I had to fight with LG for two years when this could have been an easy fix. Now I wont purchase anything LG.

The LG side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water dispenser is only three years old, but major rust has developed on the door beneath the ice and water dispenser insert. The control panel has had to be replaced once. The ice bucket freezes up regularly and so the ice dispenser wont work (it has been replaced twice) and the ice cover has broken and been replaced. The extended warranty from Sears wont cover the rusting problem and LG refuses to do anything saying that the rust is considered cosmetic. We bought this unit because of its large capacity. However, with multiple repairs under the warranty and the rust, we regret the decision.

Ive had issues with the front loader getting off balanced and causing error messages. The website states to unplug and washer will reset, which seems to work. Now it seems to off balance with every load and I find Im resetting a few times each wash. Not only that, but now my clothes are getting a moldy smell and I am rewashing to get the odor out. Very disappointed in this expensive product. I was thinking of purchasing a refridge from this company, but will look at other brands instead.

I have an LG front load washing machine that has pretty much stopped working after exactly 18 months. The drum no longer spins and there never was an error code displayed. I called the service department and we were unable to troubleshoot it over the phone. He referred me to the one and only LG repair service in Cincinnati for repairs. The parts are (maybe) covered, but not the labor. Just for the service to come out is $80. Unbelievable! We loved this machine initially. It wasnt three months though before we started to notice that not only were our clothes not getting clean, but they smelled horrible. We have to run bleach regularly and use vinegar with every load. This is truly some kind of racket they are running. What happened to the old dependable appliances that lasted 10+ years? I guess you cant make money if the machines last so long they dont need to be replaced.

We bought an LG LDF7551ST dishwasher about two years ago based upon positive consumer ratings. I even recommended one for my parents. After about 6 mos, started to hear a high pitched screeching sound - I read other consumers experienced the same problem. Repair person said it was a bad ball bearing in the motor. Replaced the motor... Unfortunately, my parents had to replace their motor as well. Now, our dishwasher doesnt dry at all. Excessive amount of water after a normal wash cycle. Within 6 weeks of purchase, our washer would not turn on. We followed online instructions for a hard reset and were able to keep the machine running for a few weeks, then that process no longer worked. We called LG who scheduled technician. Purchase date July 26, first repair was mid September. Panel replaced. Washer worked for 4 loads and stopped turning on again. We called a second time. A week later a Tech came. He could not diagnose the problem even with another tech on the phone. Ultimately reported back to LG that our outlet was faulty or not properly grounded. We KNEW this was untrue because we had our electric upgraded years ago. We could not get another tech out until we proved we had proper electric. We paid out of pocket $170 for an electrician to come and test our outlet and amperage. There was NOTHING wrong with our home wiring. He suggested was a cord issue. We reported this to LG agents and were told a tech would come back with cord and replace. Tech came a week later. NO cord had been ordered. We were told it was on back order. This was third visit. Our original call to agents informed us that 3 calls to the home and our appliance would be replaced. That was third visit. (And it occurred on Oct 15 which was over a month without a washing machine.) We were told cord was on back order and would not be available until some time early November. Every time we called (four times) we were told something different about when the part would be available. The technician told us he would recommend replacement. He requested copy of receipt. We sent texted image to tech and assumed all was in place. Two weeks later, on Oct. 30 I called again for an update. I was told (after speaking to THREE DIFFERENT AGENTS) that the tech had not submitted recommendation for replacement.Agent contacted tech who said we had not provided receipt of purchase. I was also told by agent Arthur that the part on back order had in fact been sent to the technician on Oct. 23rd. (Per Arthur this came from Jamie in parts dept.) I demanded replacement. Was told to upload receipt to a portal emailed to me (which I did) and a replacement review would be implemented. Per agent Ivan this would take about 5 business days. The next day the technician called and wanted to schedule a Saturday visit for repair, because miraculously he did in fact have the part after all. My husband and I were both unable to be home, he worked and my father is seriously ill) so we declined that Saturday repair. I also was afraid that if he came out and was still unable to repair the washer it would cancel the process in motion for a replacement.I also reported this conversation to Ivan, as he called me back that same Thursday to check in and inform me that he had received my uploaded document as requested. He agreed that another repair attempt may further muddy the situation. Six business days later I called LG again and spoke to agent Mary. She said the technician had submitted a recommendation but not a request and the process had to begin again. I was furious. It was now one week into November and I am still paying for laundromat services to have clean clothes WHILE making payments to Lowes for the non working washer. Ultimately, I called from another phone to the tech on speaker (his number was on his business card) while agent Mary was on the other phone on speaker and insisted they speak to each other. The tech said he had done everything he was supposed to do and was tired of people dragging him back into the situation. He hung up on me (the tech) and Mary the agent was very apologetic but had no recourse besides starting over with the replacement appeal. The next day, the technician called my husband and said he could come that very day and replace the cord. (Funny how when people are forced to communicate in front of the customer, miracles happen.)My husband allowed him to come. He replaced the top selection panel, the front panel and the power cord. He said if the washer stops working now we will have to get it replaced because there is nothing left to repair. That was November 7th. One week later, the washer is functioning properly and I am still catching up on my wash. This took from September 12 to Nov 7th --FIFTY SIX DAYS (almost two full months, and nearly twice as long as we owned the washer before it stopped working), four technician visits, three parts replaced, out of pocket cost for an electrician to test our power (though we knew that was not the issue) and at LEAST 12 CALLS to LG to resolve.I have been a home owner since 1991. NEVER EVER in my life have I experienced more frustration in dealing with customer service. After the second unsuccessful attempt to repair an BRAND NEW washing machine we should have been offered a hassle free replacement. LG not only sells a product they cant repair, they have no willingness to make things right with their customers. I will tell everyone I know about this experience and discourage them from purchasing any product LG makes. I will never even CONSIDER their products in the future. Lifes Good ?? Not for LG customers.

I bought my LG French door refrigerator in 2011 and its pretty much dead now. The ice maker was always flakey but we lived with it. The gasket doors started hanging up and we lived through it. Then ice maker stopped making ice. Ordered new ice maker but found out that it was not making ice because it was not cold enough. Cleaned the coils and it just slowly got worse. Ordered a temp sensor and the main pcb. Tried those parts but still not cooling properly. Called LG. I figured it was the compressor because I read that LG was using bad compressors. Paid a certified LG service provider 600.00 in labor to replace compressor.Called Friday and by Tuesday they were replacing the compressor, wow Im feeling good about now. Two guys 4 or 5 hrs later and calls to LG and they were told they needed the main pcb. I gave them the new pcb I had ordered and the same problem persisted. The compressor shuts down after 15 minutes. They said they would have to order another one from LG and come back. After not hearing for a couple of days I called them and ask them What was up? They said that they ordered but because LG was having so many problems with these compressors they were back ordered and they had no idea when a new compressor would arrive. They said not their fault call LG and ask them.Call LG but they were useless. They said they were not having any issues with bad compressors and dont believe anything you read on the internet. I asked What about the service provider? Is he lying to me? LG responds that it does not take much to become a warranty service provider just ask to be one. No training. Wow! LG pretty much said 7 years is the lifespan of their products and then they become legacy and put at back of the bus. They will provide parts if they can get them. I own a LG55 inch tv that fail after about 5 years, found a main board out of Nova Scotia and was able to repair that. If it wasnt for that it would in the trash. So here is the problem I paid the service provider to replace the compressor and LG provided the part but if they have to come back to do it again who pays for that? LG can send another compressor but theyre not paying for the service. The service provider had two guys for about 4 to 5 hrs. Why would the service provider work for free? I can see this evolving into cant get parts from LG and LG saying they have no issues supplying good parts forever and never repairing my fridge. Thank god I did not but an LG exploding phone. It took them forever to recall those phones!

LG Wave Washer and Dryer (Granite) - This is the second time the drum in the dryer has come loose. The first time because we left a review, LG repaired the issue only for it to happen again. My husband is a Quality Engineer and deals with these things all the time. This dryer should have been recalled and the washer is rusted really bad. Three months ago I moved into a home with newer LG appliances. Recently, the freezer and refrigerator stopped keeping the food frozen or even cold. This was on Friday evening, so I searched online for possible solutions. I found a YouTube video of someone with the same fridge as I who had the same problem and he solved it by unplugging the fridge and plugging it back in. We did that, but it did not get colder. On Saturday I called the 1-800 number listed in the Smart Diagnosis section of the manual, hoping for this to tell me what was wrong and get it repaired quickly. The employee who answered the phone said they did not have the software to do this. He could send out a technician, but nobody would be available until after the weekend. I had to take the day off work to stay at home, waiting, only to be told that the technician didnt have a new compressor with him. He said he would order one, and although it would be here the next day, the technician didnt have the availability to come back until three days later. By this time, we had to throw away literally everything in both the fridge and freezer. Hundreds of dollars worth of food, not to mention all of the money spent having to eat at restaurants because of the spoiled food.Another day off work and the technician was able to replace the compressor. Thankfully it was still under warranty. He told us to wait until the next day to fill it with anything that needs to be cold as to ensure it is working correctly. He said that he hadnt had a replaced compressor fail yet. We waited 48 hours before we went back to the grocery store to fully replace what we had lost. That was yesterday.Today, I noticed the ice melting and dripping through the dispenser. I call the 1-800 number yet again, and am told, yet again, that Smart Diagnosis is unable to be used because of the lack of software. Unfortunately this time the employee says that she is unable to schedule a technician to visit because that is unavailable to her. When asked to speak with a supervisor I was told that there wasnt anyone available, but someone from the corporate office would contact me within 72 hours. 72 hours? No supervisor or manager available for simple customer service? UNACCEPTABLE!! This appliance needs to be replaced, not bandaged with defective parts. Parts fail, I understand that, but the level of customer service from LG has me unwilling to ever buy another LG appliance.

LG dryer SN 611KWBY00437, model number DLE5977S and LG washer SN 612KWFN024
LG dryer SN 611KWBY00437, model number DLE5977S and LG washer SN 612KWFN02411, model number WM2277HS/01 - We purchased this set of front loaders for obvious reasons, or so we thought. We wanted something efficient, low cost to run and something big enough to handle the capacity of clothing that 3 teenage girls throw at you and 2 teenage boys, then of course, mine and my husbands along with being able to wash a comforter for a king size bed and actually get them clean. This is not what we got with the LG front loaders at all! No matter how often we use the tub clean, the washer still stinks! Ive washed the rubber gasket inside and out thinking something is lodged in the gasket making it stink, but nope, its the tub or better yet, whats under the tub. They that claim its a buildup of soap and fabric softener, so I asked the LG representative how I could get rid of this horrible smell that wreaks through my home while washing a load of laundry and how do I get it to stop ruining my clothes. Ive had to throw away towels and clothes because the washer makes my clothes stink and the stink wont come out! She said that is not something theyre obligated to fix, which really turned my attitude from pleasant to obvious anger and asked her If anything goes wrong with your products, your obligation to fix because you damn sure arent doing a good job or there would not be so many complaints! Needless to say, my family must deal with the problems of the washer. Now for the dryer, out of the blue the dryer sounded like I put a few bags of rocks inside. It was so loud I just knew the drum of the dryer was going to explode! So, I called Sears to have them come and take a look at it and fix it. He said, I hear the noise and understand what you are talking about, but I cant find where the problem would be at. Drum belt, rollers or split drum. He felt bad about it and told me this has been a frequent, continuing problem with the LG front loaders and I know the guy felt bad because he didnt even charge me. He works for Sears and we know how they are about that $75 service call. So now, Im back on the phone with LG and they told me to do what Ive already done and that was to call Sears for repair. When I told her I already did that and went through all of that, she said if the repairman doesnt find a problem, then the dryer is fine and should be working properly. I turned it on for her and she was just so sure I put something in it for dramatic purposes! I explained to LG, a minimum of 10 calls, that the washer stinks and is ruining my clothes and that my dryer is obnoxiously loud, takes 1 hour and 39 minutes to dry clothes, which is the maximum time you can put on this particular dryer and the clothes still may be damp. She said I was probably overloading the drums. If 6 towels is overloading front loaders (washer and dryer), then the quality of LG is of very, very poor quality. With so many people having these very same complaints, LG should take pride in their customers and recall these items. When you spend $1,900 for a matching washer/dryer front loaders that claim to be efficient, but it takes over an hour to dry clothes, it doesnt sound very efficient to me. Needless to say, if anyone ever asks me about LG washers and dryers, I will not only tell them to run, but to sprint like their butt is on fire because they will be wasting their money. The washer tub stinks, which makes your clothes stink. No fix. The dryer is horribly loud, doesnt dry clothes very well at all. Finally, the belt and/or rollers on the dryer tub broke and the heating element went out. An expensive fix and a very common problem with this product. Do serious research when youre ready to purchase a new washer and dryer. No way would I ever recommend LG products.

We purchased this washer approximately 4 years ago. It just doesnt work and hasnt since we owned it. You constantly get an error code on the machine when washing. Cannot get through a complete cycle without an error. Had LG recommend repair service (All American Appliance Repair, Daytona, FL) and replaced motherboard for $250 this time. Forty-five days later, doing same thing each time we use it. Called All American and LG back to have it fixed again. All American says motherboard was only warrantied for 30 days but LG says its warrantied for 90 days. Cant get straight answer from either party. Never been so frustrated with an appliance and dont understand how we can let companies sell a product with a known defect without a recall to fix. If you google you will see the same issues. I recently bought LG WD1275QDT, found disappointing not unto expectation for the price range. Not recommended (but company suggests) for liquid detergent use if you use pre-wash, Main-wash detergent will leach into pre-wash and left nothing for main wash (Media has better design for dual use). If you open detergent tray risk softener leaching into wash (bad design). Rinse and wash water inlet is same. Expect more soap may leak every time. Also pipe is corrugated may hold detergent. Takes long time to wash. 2-3 hr is most common option (I found time being wasted between cycles, NOTHING is optimized may be company wanted to use all possible rotations of inverter control). Load sensor will NOT help to optimize/help select correct detergent according to load because 1. Reading not indicated 2. You have to put detergent before start (waste of technology). If paused door opens after 2 mins and machine switches off after next 2 min (very bad). Sometimes door doesnt open even after pause or power off??? If you pause 2 times machine switches off, have to start over again (Software bug?). Machine has option like selecting pre-wash, spin, temp crease care, intensive but they have to be selected before, change of mind. No way.

Poor quality and terrible customer service. We purchased new refrigerator one year ago to go in vacation home. After 6 months of light use, compressor on ice maker went out. Have been trying to get it repaired since February to no avail. Custom service at LG is a total joke! They keep saying they have contacted a repairman but I never hear from the person and when I try to call repairman, I get an unidentifiable voicemail and my calls/messages are never returned. Four times, I have asked LG to contact a different repair person, but they keep calling the same guy back. They are now hinting that my warranty is close to lapsing, but I have been trying to get the repair completed since there were four months left on the warranty period. Issue: The refrigerator (French door LFXS30766S) broke down on 7/4/2018, just couple days after two years warranty. Find out it’s “sealed system” issue and this is still covered by LG for five years. Called LG and reported the issue on 7/6/2018, they have created ticket and mentioned that they will find the technician and assign it. How many days since then? One month now. Technician is yet to come my home and look into issue. In between, I have called so many times to LG, each time their answer is standard, they are still trying to find the technician and escalating the ticket or creates new ticket, which is nothing but their excuse to tell customer to wait for 3-5 business days. I wonder why no technician wants to work with LG, whoever I talked to they either says they are two far away from my destination or they don’t work with LG. I have even asked LG if they can assign work order to “Sears home service” they are reliable and guarantee they will come, but LG says it is not possible for them to assign the work order to Sears. Why? No idea. After so many phone calls and many tickets where are we? Nowhere near the resolution. I wouldn’t recommend LG product anymore. Settlement that I am looking: LG assign reliable tech which I can count on or refund the money.

Nothing like spending this kind of money and still having to go to the coin op laundry... I bought a LG top loader at Conns and Im very unhappy. To wash I need to wait for my day-off because one load can take up all day. A load never stops rinsing even after spin cycle. I have to literally stand there and wait for spin cycle to stop before it takes more water and goes through rinse cycle all over again. This happens with small or full loads. Im getting ready to throw it away and get me another one.

DO NOT buy an LG product. I purchased an LG dishwasher 3 ½ years ago on sale for $429.00. Model LDF7774ST. It quit working the other day due to the main control board going bad. If you google this model and problem, it was a common failure on this model and others. Good news is, the warranty covers the circuit boards for 5 years, but doesn’t include labor. So, I called to schedule a warranty service call. Here’s where it gets ridiculous. First, you have to pay $125.00 up front just to reserve a service appointment. Then, as it was explained, if the problem was due to something other than a warrantied part, the labor charge would be between $65.00 and $175.00, plus the part, plus the $125.00 service fee. But, if it was the bad circuit board, the part would be covered, but there was a flat labor charge of $250.00, plus the $125.00 service fee, for a total of $375.00. I could not believe my ears, so I called back a little later, spoke to a different person, and was quoted the same amounts. I am not going to pay $375.00 for a $400.00 dishwasher, and will NEVER buy an LG product again.

I bought an LG top loading washer about two months ago, which worked fine for about a month. Now, more often than not, it goes out of balance with a UE code and, occasionally, the power button will not work. I contacted customer service and was informed that I am out of area for factory service but that they would schedule a local repair service and get back to me. Instead, I got an email telling me how to load a washing machine (Ive only been doing that for about 50 years) and ignoring the power button problem. And the email stated on the bottom that it is not possible to answer one of their emails. Right now, I am thinking about small claims court.

We purchased our LG refrigerator in 2012, French door with ice maker. Please be aware our ice maker once again has ceased to work. This will be our 4th ice maker to be replaced, IF we have it replaced, since 2012. Even though we purchased it in 2012, we are not eligible for the flat rate repair cost, (only eligible for models from 2012) and apparently, as per LG, it was manufactured in 2011. I have never been so unhappy with this refrigerator therefore would never recommend LG to anyone. And, as a side note, the paint is already coming off from below the ice maker on the outside. We called LG and explained this all to them but they were unable to help us. This has been such a frustrating experience for us.

I have the LG refrigerator model LFXC24726S that is identified with the common premature failure of the compressor resulting in no cooling. I inherited this refrigerator when I bought the house 2 years ago, so I had no purchase receipt. The compressor failed recently and I called LG. They said the parts are covered under 10 years from date of purchase and labor 5 years from date of purchase. Since I didnt have the purchase receipt they went by the manufacture date of Sept. 2015. The unit failed and I called on 11/12/20. Just two months over the 5 years from manufacture date. They charged $125 on the phone for service call and another $250 for labor it took to replace the part(which was covered under warranty) to get their fail refrigerator up and running. The frustrating aspect to me is the logic that after large consumer appliance product is manufactured it doesnt get to the end user the next week. How many times do I see even on dry food products that the manufacture date is already at least month ago before it hits the supermarket shelves. I get the sense for large consumer appliances it would be more than 2 months from manufacture before it is purchased by end user. I know this refrigerator was purchased after Jan. 2016 because thats when the prior owners of my house had bought the house and remodel the kitchen, but obviously that could not help sway my case to waive the labor fee. My wife and I love the refrigerator, especially how the ice maker is small and on the door and it doesnt take up an entire corner of top shelf corner and also retains some small shelves on the dispenser door unlike Samsung unit we had in our prior home where we lost top corner shelve space and lost the smaller shelves on the inside of the dispenser door. Unfortunately, we are not going to go with LG for our next refrigerator. It is just too unreliable and I have to pay a few hundred dollars out of pocket for their failed product. Not to mention it took 6 days before a technician can come out.

So we splurged and bought one of those washing machines with all the bells and whistles. Rust formed around the bleach dispenser after just over a year. This is completely unacceptable. It continues to grow daily and is not cosmetic to me. I have never had a washing machine rust out on me, what will this look like after 3 years? 5 years? If it lasts that long. There were some huge lawsuits back many years ago with auto manufacturers and rusting vehicles. Maybe an attorney should look into a class action suit against LG. A $1200 washing machines shouldnt rust. If they do, you should get relief from the company not the runaround.

I purchased a new LG refrigerator in June 2015 and about 3 years later it stopped working. It turns out to be a faulty compressor. Even though the compressor is warrantied for 10 years I still had to pay over $300 for repair. I thought it may have been just a fluke but exactly one year later the same thing happened again. When I contacted LG they once again expect me to pay for repairs out of pocket. It is highly unreasonable that a refrigerator would not last past 3 years and then the repaired compressor would once again failed in just a year. Am I expected to have to pay $300 a year from now on to have an operating fridge? Ive owned this fridge for well under 5 years and this should not be the case. Needless to say I will not be purchasing another LG appliance.

I placed calls to LG to arrange for my 3 year old refrigerator to have a new compressor installed. I had a local company confirm this was the reason for the breakdown. The first call at the beginning of the year did not ever end up with a response or resolution (someone was supposed to contact me). I waited several months and contacted LG again. The support desk had me upload all of my warranty information to their site through a provided link. Again, I was assured that someone would contact me to arrange this repair within a short period of time. Again, this did not ever occur.Today, almost a year later, I have purchased a new appliance because keeping my food in a cooler for 10 months was not an option. I have posted the fridge for scrap on Kijiji and a local person responded within an hour to remove it from my home. Too bad that LG couldnt have responded as efficiently. A lot of wasted money in both purchase price and time trying to resolve/arrange the warranty. My questions are these. How is it that a manufacturer is not held accountable for failure to provide what they are legally responsible for? What recourse is there when this process fails? At what point does one give up because they have spent hours and hours trying to get the warranty service? Like many Canadians, I am a working individual and dont have endless hours to dedicate to continued follow-up. Appliances are expensive purchases yet there seems to be no process where the companies are made responsible for providing the warranty coverage they espouse. My hope is that this changes in the future.

I am very disappointed at the integrity of the knobs. They look and feel like good quality, but I am disappointed to find that inside the knob hole is plastic (not good quality). After just over a year (warranty expired, of course), two of the knobs cracked inside the holes and will no longer turn the burners on correctly. Within the first year of owning a new LG gas range, the 5-burner control knobs were breaking where the knob slides onto the shaft of the gas control mechanism. I tried repairing it myself and it worked for a while, but now they are so bad they need replacing. Why can it not be made of metal? This simple solution would solve the problem. While searching various parts replacement sites, the knobs are over $70.00 each to replace, 5 x 70 = $350.00 for knobs? Is this customer service and support after the sale? I am so disappointed in the quality of these knobs and the expense to replace them that I may replace the whole range on principle and never purchase an LG product again, of any type. What happens when I put the new knobs on and they crack and break? Another $350.00 in todays dollars for knobs? I dont think so. I have checked around and there are no replacement knobs of better quality available. LG needs to get their act together. After almost one and a half year only, now all the 5 valves and burners are bad and thank God I bought the extended warranty which is covering that problem. The only reason I bought this stove was the look and then I assumed that since it is an expensive stove, it must be good. But beware everybody, do not buy this product! I will keep on saying that until they fix my stove either by replacing it for once and for all. But at least I found a nice rep who promised to send me 5 new knobs as they have upgraded those knobs with metal inserts. Lets see if theyll work or not!

Since the first week I had LG, it made my clothes smell. Despite calling LG, and having a service company come out, the smell wont go away. I have a sick person with cancer, and they cannot lay on the sheets, because it makes them nauseous. I have to take the wash to my sons house. This is totally unacceptable. I have allergies, and the smell is giving me headaches. LG needs to take this machine back, because there is something gravely wrong. The reason is it does not empty all the water out, and sits in the machine. The water gets smelly, and goes into the clothes. To sit on the floor and empty the water after each wash, is unacceptable. Bleaching and numerous cleaning doesnt help, as long as it holds at least a gallon of water all the time. Please recall the LG front load model WM042HW/01. According to LG, this is normal, and are trying to say it is the soap/detergent that is the problem. This is not so. It is a water problem that always remains in the machine getting musty.

I’ve dealt with many terrible companies in my time but never one as bad as LG. I bought a refrigerator with an extended warranty and the compressor (main component) died on me within that time period. Called LG to help. A very friendly agent set up an appointment with me with a company based in NJ called “Rising”. No sooner did I hang up did Rising call me back to tell me they do not service my area and they have to cancel my appointment. This is when the real trouble happened.I called back LG and they referred me to my next two non-existent authorized dealers. When faced with the reality that no one would fix my warranty refrigerator, I sought out my own resolution. Called LG to get an authorization letter for an “outside” repair company to fix my fridge. After 24-48 hours I called back. They told me they had cancelled the request for an outside vendor and made an appointment with Rising service again. I called them again and was told once again that they do not service my area and they intend to keep cancelling whatever appointment LG makes for me. I called back LG. This circle of events occurred again in the exact same order THREE times. I tired to escalate to management and got more runaround. With no refrigeration for a week I finally decided to pay out of pocket and sue them later. Here’s what I found out though. A little INSIDER SECRET - LG does not pay the authorized companies and that’s why no one wants to do their jobs. So take it from me. So far I’m out 3/4 of the value of the fridge in a little over 3 years - do NOT buy an LG product because if it goes bad you’re out of luck. Learn from my mistake.

I was without a refrigerator for three weeks and I told them that when I bought it, I had the same issue. When their people came, they changed the compressor and it was fine. I will never buy any of their products unless they make vast improvements. Now Im at the point where I must buy yet another washing machine. But I will do my homework this time and purchase one that has high performance ratings. And I will certainly tell anyone and everyone who ever discusses washing machines to avoid LG. In October of 2019 I purchased a full suite of LG appliances, refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer. All purchased from and installed by Best Buy. I really like all the appliances and they all seem to perform well, with the exception of the dishwasher. I have a constant and ongoing problem with it draining. This problem appeared within the first month. Best Buy came out and could not replicate the problem. In January the same problem again. Best Buy replaced the drain pump. That lasted less than one week. By this point Best Buy was no longer off in home service appointments because of the Covid-19 thing.I went to the LG web. Requested a repair. The service responded the next day, came out a determined a new control board was needed. A week later they came out to replace it. That lasted 4 days. I am now once again without a dishwasher. Ive again requested service from LG but have yet to hear back, that was yesterday. Today I called your 800 number and ended up hanging up on your representative because of the poor service offered by her. Its time you replace this dishwasher, as I am tired of having to arrange my schedule to fit in repairs that last less than a week.

We purchased the French door/bottom freezer unit for $3000.00 (model LFXC24726S). Upon plugging it in, it seemed to be cooling down, although the ice maker was not working. We reported this on 2/19/15. At that time it seemed that the unit on the whole was cold enough to stock with food. The fancy door temperature reading reported that the freezer was at 0 degrees and the refrigerator was at 37 degrees. NOT THE SITUATION!! The next morning everything that we put in the freezer was totally soft. By that afternoon we were sure that the refrigerator section was nowhere close to 37 degrees. We spoke to LG service repeatedly and although we were told that we would have service on Monday morning, we waited all day and finally a service tech came at 5 pm. He diagnosed that the unit would need a new mother board and would be back the next morning. We again waited all day and at 7 pm he returned with another service tech. At 9:30 pm they said that they believed that all problems had been solved. The next morning the tech called to ask if everything was working properly. Nice of him to call, but in fact, the unit was totally warm; although the temperature reading on the door still reported that the freezer was 0 degrees and the refrigerator was 37 degrees. So much for the reliability of this fancy technology. It is now 5 working days later and we are told by the executive team at LG that this refrigerator will not be replaced until everything has been tried to repair it. The compressor that the tech is now saying would be the next thing to try is on back order and it will be at least another week until that is available. Until LG has tried to replace every part and rebuild this unit they will keep us waiting. Thanks a lot. We want everyone to consider this situation before you decide to buy an LG product.

That evening when I started to get water there was Er under the word refrigerator and rf under the word freezer. I couldnt get water or ice. I unplugged the refrigerator and plugged it back in and it started to work. Every time I go to get water I have to do the same thing. I called back thinking it only needed to be reprogrammed again but couldnt get them to send someone out because the man who came the first time was scheduled to come back on Nov.23 even though I was told that someone would come on today Nov.19 but didnt show. Now the freezer keeps thawing and refreezing the food. The refrigerator will cool but not get cold. I have lost so much food not once but twice. I own LG dishwasher LDF8072st. Purchased 8/13. 3 weeks ago, I recd an error code which determines a leak. I spoke with LG customer service who authorized repair under extended warranty. 2 different companies have been here a total of 5 times. The machine is still not fixed after installing a new door panel. Today the tech. informed me that they ordered a new pump to be installed November 11. I will be 5 weeks without a dishwasher. I have taken 4 days off from work to be here with a repair tech, and one Saturday. LG refuses to replace the product and gives me a different answer every time I call. They just apologize for my inconvenience.

I have had 4 LG microwave ovens and always had the same problem with transformer overheating and smoke coming from unit which sets off the fire alarm. I think a recall should be done as I find this is a main fault which should have emergency recall before a fire is caused to homes.

Woke up on the 4th of July with a house full of company visiting and tons of food in the fridge and freezer defrosted and spoiled. My extended warranty not covered because I was told LG is now covering cooling issues for 5 years from purchase. After extended hold times with LG (over an hour each time) it took them over 2 weeks to send a repair person. Repair finally done on Wednesday, they changed out the compressor. Was told to allow fridge to cool for 24 hours before placing anything inside and 24 hours for ice. It has been 48 hours, shopped today for some food as everything had to be thrown out and the fridge and freezer are not cooling properly. Ice not freezing, few items in freezer mushy and milk and juice barely cool. Will have to get back on the phone with customer service tomorrow.

LG LMX 25981st - When opening left door of 4-door French style would hear a loud pop. Then noticed during this pop the display panel would flash on and off. Finally popping stopped. Now no water, no ice or water filling, no display lights on front. Refridge is cool and freezer freezes but no controls. Trying to find if others have had this problem.

I have an LG refrigerator with model # LRSC26923SW that is about 5 years old. The so-called purified water line dispenses water that tastes strongly of mold. It is undrinkable and it assumed a health hazard. The filters have been changed on a regular basis and the water line has been used daily until the taste problem occurred.I have tried changing filters and flushing the line but to no avail. LG referred me to an authorized repair service, and I was told that it was a poorly designed system, and I would need to replace the entire door at a huge expense that is not covered by the warranty. In addition to the ice maker going out after 1 year and having to be replaced, I also had major problems with my LG washing machine. I will never buy one of their appliances again.
