Our experience is exactly the same. So what can we all do. We are about to replace the coil (aluminum versus copper, our HVAC serviceman says will make the difference). He is not 100% sure the problem is there since the leak is "very small". To really check will cost about 600 for a nitrogen test. So at this point we are down $300 for visit and freon replacement and potentially down another $600 to replace the second coil. Our unit like the rest is 2012 with problems in 2014 and now.

We purchased a WRS576FIDM refrigerator from HHGregg in August 2015 and immediately had problems with ice maker and door having condensation on it. I contacted Whirlpool who had a tech come to my house and verify problems. Whirlpool replaced it with a new refrigerator in November 2015 and w/in a week it had awful condensation on the outside of the door, dripping onto the floor and pooling water. A tech responded to our house again and confirmed the problem with Whirlpool. Whirlpool advised they would be sending out two new doors for our side to side refrigerator and said we should receive them within 4 to 6 weeks from late November 2015. I asked Whirlpool to send us a different model because this is the second refrigerator of the same model that has the same issues. Whirlpool refused. I have spent countless hours on the phone with Whirlpool, HHGregg, and waiting for service appointments and my patience is getting thin. I just contacted them today 2-9-16 to inquire about my doors since it has been well over the 4 to 6 weeks Whirlpool said it should take to receive them. The Whirlpool rep on the phone had no information about the status of the doors and said that they would have to contact the service company to inquire more about the status of the doors. He also said that under special circumstances, it may take an additional two weeks for certain door orders. I once again requested a different model of refrigerator or a refund.I tried to get HHGregg to allow me to return the 2nd refrigerator just days after I received it since I was having the same issues as the original one I purchased. HHGregg said they could not since the 2nd refrigerator did not come from them. HHGregg said that they did not know why Whirlpool sent me a replacement refrigerator directly and added that normally the returns go through them. I feel like I tried to do the right thing by contacting Whirlpool for warranty work, but I feel that if I would have called HHGregg I would have been able to get a different brand refrigerator which is what I really desire after all these problems with the Whirlpool brand. I did purchase an entire Whirlpool kitchen set from HHGregg. The only problems I am having is with this refrigerator.

I have a critical room that is served by 8 Trane Voyager units at this building for the purpose of keeping critical equipment cool (millions of dollars worth of stuff). In the 2 and 1/2 years since the installation, 5 of the units’ exhaust fan motors have gone bad. The economizer damper actuators have broken on 4 of them. Two condenser coils have leaked and needed replacement on the units. 3 condenser fans have had to be replaced. The pulleys on 3 of the supply fans have had to be replaced because they are made out of plastic garbage. Every month or two, I have to get one of these units repaired. It is a never ending cycle of having to replace parts and rent a crane sometimes for heavy parts like coils and compressors. Do not buy Trane! I am now looking to replace this equipment because the critical equipment cannot be sustained properly due to all these repairs.

Purchased Rheem 4 ton HVAC April 2018. Unit failed in less than 24 hours. This was written off as foreign debris in lines and repaired at the cost of the service company who were also accompanied by a Rheem rep. Now 14 months later the indoor fan has decided to slow down not drawing enough air through the handler which caused heavy condensation to soak the filter thus restricting airflow further until the coil became completely iced over. Waiting to hear a response from Rheem on this one. Service Star repair rate for one hour of labor is more than 2 months of my total electric bill at 287.00. I'd steer clear of both of these companies as they're both profiting on selling consumers' junk.

I purchased a Trane air conditioner in March 2015 and an extended warranty. My ac broke last night August 15, it's very hot in Florida in August. I called the company that the extended warranty is with and was told the tech had the night off and wouldn't be able to help me until after 2 pm the next day. What kind of service is that? I purchased Trane and paid more money because I wanted something that would last not break down 5 months later.

If you want to invest in a cooling unit that provides you control over the temperatures and humidity levels throughout your house, then the SoftSound Deluxe 19 Air Conditioner with SmartSense is a good option. Not only does it offer control, but it also has variable speed settings so that the user can choose their preference. And we don’t even need to mention the quiet performance is highly appreciated.

In 2010 I purchased a Goodman air conditioner for close to 3,000.00. I go back and forth between residences. In April of this year, I arrived to a very hot condo. I called the company who sold me the unit (C&C Heating and Cooling). They came out twice and told me it was a faulty coil and the freon was freezing up. I am retired and cannot afford to be paying service and parts for something I should not have to do. I had to pay $250.00 for service, part and freon. I called your company and was told to contact you when the service was complete. I have all the invoices. The reason for this email and that I don't think I should have to pay for a unit to be repaired that is less than 5 years old. Hope to hear from you soon, thank you.

The Amana unit came with a ten year warranty and the condensing coil started leaking after 5 years. It was replaced at no cost to me as far as parts and labor.. It is now 7 years old with no other problems and we have been very pleased.

Got Carrier Infinity Greenspeed in November 2012. Got the 97.2% efficiency infinity modulating natural gas furnace and 4 ton 17 SEER air conditioning unit. I do love the low speed variable heating as it keeps a gentle constant heat. Cooling is also good and efficient. Both units, however, have been unreliable. In October 2014 the furnace broke. We needed a new inducer motor. They don't keep parts at Carrier, so it took several days to get the part. Cost me $400 for labor and other parts. In July 2015 air conditioning unit leaked and had to have coolant replaced. In May 2016, the unit would not start during routine twice a year maintenance service agreement we had with installer. There were multiple leaks and the entire outside unit and coil had to be replaced. The installer was great and didn't charge for labor since we had repeated problems with the unit. Carrier again did not have parts on hand, so had to wait a week on parts. Still cost me $600 in additional installer parts not covered by Carrier. So, on this supposed high end system, both the furnace and air conditioner have had major failures in under 3 years of use and these have cost me over $1000 out of pocket. Obviously, my conclusion is that Carrier Infinity Greenspeed is a piece of junk.
