I purchased a Maytag Washer Bravos Quiet series 300 & a Dryer Bravos Quiet series 400 w/ steam in June 2009 from Lowe's. I can't express my dissatisfaction in strong enough language with these products. From the time they were installed there were problems.The Bravos series 300 washer: Quiet? Never. The thing sounds like a huge motor whirring around my laundry room. Several times, a coin got stuck in the motor and created a clanking sound that had to be fixed. I've never had a washer that allowed coins to enter the motor. I can't close the lid on the washer until the whole unit is dry because of the mold problem. I don't feel the washer really gets clothes clean. When we purchased the unit, the Lowe's salesman stressed that we could fit a large bedspread into the oversized tub and get it clean. This didn't turn out to be true. The clothes tangle terribly and the unit is off-balance with any kind of a larger load. I've been forced to purchase the extended warranty because of the complete & total lack of confidence I have in this awful washer (same goes with the dryer).The Bravos series 400 Dryer: This unit never dries. All the setting that should be used with the sensor never work which causes a huge problem. I start out on a particular setting with a stated time limit say, for instance 45 minutes. 45 minutes later, I look at the dryer and there's 1 hr of time still left to go! The dryer just runs on and on. I've taken to using only the timed dry and I start out at 1 hr, then check it every 10 minutes or so. This is very hard on the fabrics and has caused the useful life of my clothes to be greatly diminished. Also, the stupid thing will start to beep and I can't figure out why. Using this dryer has increased the electricity costs to us.I can't stress enough to STAY away from these products. I purchased Maytag because of their prior good reputation. That reputation is in tatters now. They should recall this product and replace it with products that actually do what they advertise!

My Kenmore dryer is reliable and dries everything from towels to delicates. It has an alarm that alerts me when a load is done. The alarm can be turned off when I don't want to bother others in the house. It also has a wrinkle reducer option for times when I can't interrupt what I'm doing to take clothes out of the dryer. My Kenmore dryer works well. It has settings for drying everything from my delicate nightie to my husband's denim jeans. It a very reliable machine that I expect to last well over 15 years. The dryer has a sleek appearance with clearly marked settings for operating it. There are three knobs, one on the left and two on the right. We shopped at several stores and researched online before choosing this dryer. It had the features we wanted at a reasonable price. We were able to buy it during an appliance sale, so we were able to get even more value for our money.

Old machine but is reliable and gets the job done well. I've been using Kenmore appliances for a few years now and have never been disappointed with its performance. I know that every time I use it my clothes will come out clean with almost no lint left on them. It also isn't as loud as other machines out there. Standard look, not an eyesore in any way but not fancy either, it has the simple yet efficient look of dependability. It is all white and easy to clean or wipe down if detergent is spilled on it, good size so doesn't take up too much space in the garage. I bought this maybe 4-5 years ago and it still is working as good as the first year of owning it. The newer models look nice and have more features, but if this one gives me 5+ more years, I'm satisfied with the model I currently have.

I purchased a new Kenmore Elite Oasis washer and dryer and it has been the worst purchase of my life. The washer always displays LF and I have to re-position the clothes. The bleach stays full in the dispenser. The dryer is defective and always says the lint is full when it is NOT. My check did not bounce, but their product did! I want a refund!!! I will NEVER EVER purchase another Kenmore. They suck!

We bought LG top load washer and front dryer as a pair; WT5170HV, 5-2012. The only problems we've had was the washer electronic control board shorted out & now we've noticed rust forming underneath the top rim of the washer. There is a notice about not splashing bleach when adding to the dispenser. We are careful, but apparently it splashes up on the bottom of the lid and around the dispenser when the machine is operating. This is a design flaw and needs to be corrected by LG. This will be the last time I buy LG products unless they show me that they will stand behind their products and fix the design flaws... So be careful when buying appliances and read consumer reports.

I bought a new Electrolux washer and dryer from Home Depot online in November of 2017. The dryer has not worked correctly since it was installed. After contacting Electrolux, they sent a repairman out twice to fix the problem with no resolution. The second time, after taking the dryer completely apart and replacing the motherboard and wiring harness, the dryer won't even run. Electrolux will not replace the dryer and wants more repairs done before even considering a replacement. I bought a new dryer and now it's a used dryer!

I was washing a load of laundry, I went down to throw them in the dryer. When I lifted the washer lid, there was a burnt smell! I lifted up to look under the washer to see the pump wet and on closer look, burnt! There is no power to the machine now. I called customer service to let them know I've called around and found tech to fix it. He told me to call them to get authorization and the customer service agent told me, "I don't know why you're calling us." I called the service tech back, now I have to pay for parts and service call on a machine that is only 2 years old! After looking up this washer and all the complaints on this company, I will never purchase this brand again!
