Original manual says, Do not wash or spin water proof clothes. Literature Update: Do not wash or spin any item labeled or known to be water-proof or water-resistant, even if the product care label on the item permits machine washing. Failure to follow these instructions could result in bodily injury, severe damage to your laundry, your washer and/or property damage as a result of abnormal vibration of the washer. Examples of water-proof or water-resistant items include certain mattress pads, mattress covers, rain gear, camping gear, skiing apparel, outdoor gear and similar items.I contacted LG and they informed me that it is all legal and there is nothing they are going to do to help me wash my water resistant clothing. Of course, this is after speaking with several reps and getting the runaround, playing stupid, not understanding that water proof and water resistant are different, and outright telling me that this is all in the original manual. I had to email a copy of the page in question for LG rep to tell me that yes, they have changed specs on the washer but they are legally allowed to change it and there is nothing I can do about it. Specs are supposedly listed and changed on LG website and it is all legal to change it after sale of a product. I have read the whole manual and LG rep has pointed me to the exact page they claimed at first this information was to be found.

We have a model lfxs29766s French door fridge. The linear compressor just broke after only fours years. Apparently LG is very aware of this and their solution is to charge you $350 for a new compressor. Tech that came to the house says he replaces 4-5 of these compressors a day. Incorporate that additional cost into your evaluation because I think you can get a better fridge for that additional money....and it will happen to you.

The features I liked about the LG refrigerator was my double side by side doors and the ice maker and water dispenser were the best part of it all. I would get it again if I needed another one anytime soon. The Only thing I didnt like was I think there could have been more shelves and storage room inside it. Overall it has been a really good refrigerator though, so I really cant complain about it too much. I never really had any issues. The reason I purchased the LG refrigerator when I did Is due to a sale they had going on at the time and I liked the style of the fridge. I chose this brand over other brands because I have purchased LG in the past and never had any issues with them at all.

After 3 years needed minor repair. LG wouldn’t sell me the part. Had to pay LG repair guy to do a job I could easily do. Very annoying. After 5 years door seal went. Called. They said weld broke on drum. $800 for parts not worth fixing. Single man after 5 years. The quality of consumer products today is so low I feel like a fool recycling my pop tins and putting my washer in a landfill after 5 years. Stop building throwaway products would be a far better way of recycling. Get rid of all the people that say no profit in that.

We bought our LG Fridge from Home Depot in 2011. Its a French door-freezer on the bottom style. Our entire unit stopped cooling less than 48 hrs ago and we only have a small college dorm type fridge for our back up. Needless to say, we are losing a lot of food. Very unhappy. We live in rural Iowa, so getting a repairman out here may take several days. Not sure yet if were covered or if well have to pay out of pocket for this.

We bought an LG LDF7551ST dishwasher about two years ago based upon positive consumer ratings. I even recommended one for my parents. After about 6 mos, started to hear a high pitched screeching sound - I read other consumers experienced the same problem. Repair person said it was a bad ball bearing in the motor. Replaced the motor... Unfortunately, my parents had to replace their motor as well. Now, our dishwasher doesnt dry at all. Excessive amount of water after a normal wash cycle. Will never purchase another LG product - going back to a Bosch.

The steam dishwasher went dead during warranty. The corporate repair technician came out. He did something, said he could not replicate the problem, and the washer started up! Two months after the warranty expired, all 3 circuit boards went out. The corporate technician was no longer allowed to come out, and we were forced to use a new company that only services LG on Fridays. Weve been doing dishes by hand for 6 weeks, and still, dont have the parts. It will be two more weeks at the minimum before repair is complete due to LG policy, parts distro, and customer service. Dont waste your money! Where are the class action suits against this company?

Our LG dishwasher has a odor coming from the inside after a wash cycle after the dishes are removed and it is empty for several hours. Have tried pouring water in the bottom and pumping it out operating the pump by pressing the on button, normal then normal and power scrub together to pump water out of bottom. Tried wiping it down after a cycle, no help, poor design, wish I had never purchased this unit. My friend has the same unit with the same problems, will not dry dishes, odors, is this really a safe dishwasher to use. If it has a odor that means it is not getting hot enough to sanitize the dishes.

I also had a front load LG dryer which stopped drying the clothes. I had a tech come out only at 5pm on a Friday to tell me my dryer vent needs cleaning! The dryer vent did not need cleaning... the tech just wanted to go home. The dryer actually went on fire and is now out at the curb where all LG appliances should be. We purchased an LG front loader washing machine, LG dryer and LG refrigerator in 2006. The dryer needed repair service once; the washing machine had several issues including nasty smell, weird spots on clothes and needed lots of repair, and the refrigerator has stopped working twice. We had purchased the appliances through Best Buy and were able to cover some of those repairs under the extended warranty. All the appliances are long out of warranty now. Last year, we found that there was an internal leak in the washing machine causing the rear left housing to rust completely through which resulted in a flooded laundry area every time the machine was running. Now the freezer/refrigerator stopped working (again). I have not yet contacted LG as I dont expect them to actually do anything about these issues. The dryer is still running as far as I know. In all fairness, we have used the washer extensively but based on my experience with other brands, I would not buy any LG appliances again. They were expensive, turned out to be substandard, and have costly repairs.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator with bottom freezer in June of 2013. In August of 2013, the ice maker went out. It took about 2wks to get it repaired. Now here in May of 2014, the ice maker and freezer arent working. I have asked that the refrigerator be replaced because not only is the ice maker not working, but now the freezer, which is a clear indication that it is a faulty product. LG has refused to replace it stating they will only repair it. They have tried and were unable to fix the initial problem. The fair and responsible thing to do is replace this faulty product.

I would never buy any product from LG (FH4B8QDA1) again. I bought a washing machine that within 6 months was marking my laundry with black streaks. I phoned LG who sent their local engineer. The man who came out said he had never seen such a clean washing machine (I used Calgon as per LGs care instruction in the booklet). He took some photos and said they would be in touch... but he thought the door seal would need replacing even though there was no marks on it at all! I never heard back from them. So I phoned LG again. LG said after the engineer had looked at the machine and made a report. It was because I was using Calgon to clean the machine and non bio laundry liquid. I wasnt entitled to another opinion as I had, had an engineer come out to me! The only thing I could do was to get an independent report on the machine. So I went back to the shop where I bought it and they knew someone who did reports. I had an independent report done on the machine and it was proven by two people and photos that there was grease in the bearings that was getting into the machine. After LG had the report it again took a very long time for any response and a lot of phone calls on my part. They accepted the machine was faulty and were going to replace it. I asked for compensation for all clothes and bedding that had been ruined and I had, had to replace. Suddenly there was nothing wrong with my machine and it was the fact that I used non bio!!! The shop I bought it at ended up replacing it for me. I would never recommend LG to anyone and their customer service is appalling. So much, that I havent even registered this new machine as obviously a guarantee doesnt mean anything anyway!!!

Purchased our first big purchase for our kitchen remodel. All LG products. Stainless steel. Big upgrade for us. The dishwasher had 2 minor problems that we were able to fix. Our refrigerator (model LFX28978ST/0) although has had 3 of the shelves in the door cracked, a rolling wheel on the Vegetable bin broke, the clear cover on the butter dish broke and the ice tray cracked. All within 3 year of purchase. LG suggests we purchase the entire ice maker $180 just for a $10 ice tray, the vegetable bin is no longer available. The other parts I was able to purchase at $150. After contacting LG I understand they dont even sell replacement parts. You have to go through a parts business. I will never purchase another LG product again and I will make sure all my friends, family and all my contacts on Facebook know about the terrible customer service and shoddy craftsmanship LG has.

This french door fridge (split doors, one fridge drawer and one freezer drawer) was bought in 2015. It has moderate space (the freezer section is a little small). It had to have the compressor and evaporator replaced in December 2018 right before Christmas. Cost of repair was cover by LG. Cost to replace all the food for Christmas that was ruined was covered by me. After that we put a small cheap (freezer on top) fridge in the basement and keep about half our food in it because we were told that this was a known issue and we could not be guaranteed how long before it would need to be fixed again. Its now October of 2019 (10 months later) and the fridge is once again not cooling. A tech is coming to look at it and we didnt lose as much food this time but no one should need two fridges to keep one fridge worth of food cold. I would strongly recommend avoiding LG or any fridge using a linear/inverter compressor. Other brands fridges with lessor warranties may cost less but are often still manufactured by LG with the same technology (which seems to be flawed or poorly manufactured). Our previous fridge was an old and ugly Kenmore but it had kept food cold for 20+ years with nothing but an annual cleaning of the coils.

We have had our LG Electric Range (LSE4613) since September of 2017. Within this two month period, we have had quite a few incidents when the burners were turned on without us realizing they were on. This last time, we were seconds from significant fire damage to our home. As many others have noted, because the LG stovetops can be turned on by the slightest touch, brush or bump, it is a huge safety hazard. LG needs to develop a fix for this dangerous problem before there is a major recall or lawsuit. There is a lock feature, but its not possible to have it on at all times. The self cleaning feature also seems dangerous. While cleaning, the tile and surrounding granite became too hot to touch, so we turned it off within one hour.

We purchased an LG fridge about a year and a half ago. When it stopped working we called the company and it took 10 days to authorize repair. Their authorized repair person came out and said it was the compressor and he came back a week later with a new compressor. After 6 hours of trying to repair he said he put in wrong compressor. At that point LG said it sucks to be you and that they were done with us and not even a sorry that you paid 2000 for their equipment that doesnt work now and its now the responsibility of the repair person to fix it. The compressor has a 10 year warranty but that is false advertisement since it really doesnt. Their customer service rep said the fridge is no longer under warranty after a year and a half. This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a war
This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a warning to prospective customers. I have owned my LG washer for about three years now. It has True Balance, a feature that consumes water in an attempt to balance the load. The washer is absolutely level. However it rarely completes a load because True Balance is unable to get the load balanced enough to get through the spin cycle. So I have to turn the water off. Balance it by hand. Then maybe it will get through the cycle. Often the items are too soaked to put in the 30-year old Kenmore dryer. So I have to hang them.My water bill has increased 25% since getting the washer. Have complained to LG. Initially they told me to level the washer. Now they just ignore me. Apparently because I (a person who has tested at a mechanical level in the upper 2% of the population) am unable to level a washer. I was however able to rebuild the Kenmore Dryer twice to keep that running. Thats not a recommendation of Kenmore because Kenmore isnt Kenmore anymore.

I have a washing machine that is 3 years old that needed a repair covered under the 7-year warranty. Because I cannot find my receipt after 3 years, you will not honor the warranty, even though the serial number shows its not close to 7 years. Because its a premium product, a receipt is required. I spent $1,000 on a premium machine that LG will not honor warranty on due to a 10-cent piece of paper. This is not how you treat your customers who purchase premium products. After considerable review, we (in hindsight, unfortunately) purchased a Suite of LG products last year (2019), the FRENCH DOOR LFXC22526S being the refrigerator leg of it. From the day we literally plugged it in, it has been, and continues to be, a disappointment. For a company with a footprint of LG, were appalled at both their lack of engineering and Customer Support. Our issue became noticeable day 1 when the appliance was not cooling properly. The first indicator was the milk, (which was stored on the refrigerator door rack to accommodate a gallon size, was WARM. My wife proceeded to purchase a thermostat to monitor the temperatures within the cavity of the unit. For the limited cubic space it has, the temperatures varied considerably. We proceeded to contact Customer Service, and for a unit right out of the box, we immediately encountered additional challenges. 1- Our first contact was with a Customer Service Representative in the Philippines who spoke Very broken (if any) English. (Follow up calls were just a bad.) For such global company you would expect them to have better matched resources to offer its customers. 2- To have a Technician visit the situation, they would potentially charge a $50 Service Call. (Again, the unit is not even a week old. That policy took some arm wrestling, but it led to being waived.) 3- Fast forward, a Technician did arrive at the house to physically and wirelessly confirm the settings. NO PROBLEM. At this juncture, my wife was getting a bit perturbed and stated a temperature measuring 40 degrees is not only a problem, its a health hazard. The Technicians solution was to recommend we rearrange the contents where items as mustard, pickles, salad dressings, butter.... should only be on the door racks. Items as milk, even though the door has a rack to accommodate a gallon container, should go on a shelf. (Its noteworthy to mention; weve stored milk on the refrigerator door for the last 40 years with no temperature problems!) When we proceeded to challenge that rationale, his final cure all was the straw that broke the camels back... we just havent adapted to it yet. Those remedies are very shallow for a unit that costs ~$2,000 with supposedly state of the art engineering. We cant fathom how a major entity as LG can be so deficient in some basic engineering features compounded further by their shallow offerings for customer satisfaction. We did not proceed with the Extended Warranty they offered primarily due to its cost. Layered on top of that, the manner they addressed the above circumstance further discouraged us as I have strong reason to believe we would likely get the same run with any service calls. That, and reading other reviews, causes me to proceed ahead with fingers crossed on both hands. For their sake, I hope LG reviews these posted complaints as they are legitimate issues they should take some ownership of. I (and others) will have serious second thoughts about purchasing ANY of their products with an LG name plate.

Already happened three times. Lots of food lost. I will never purchase an LG product again. The evaporator (the thingy with lots of coils and fins, which is responsible for transferring the coldness from the compressed gas to the surrounding air inside the fridge/freezer) ices up. The evaporator defrost heater is working, yet it does not defrost all the ice, allowing for lots of ice buildup. Apparently LG has issue with the timer controlling the defrost cycle. But the bottom line is that when ice builds up on the evaporator fins, no cooling can be done and the food spoils. To fix the issue you have to take the entire fridge (shelves rails, drawers) and freezer (door, rails, ice maker) apart to gain access to the back covers, remove the back covers and manually defrost using a hair drier to remove all the ice build up. I am now an expert in doing this, and it only takes about half a day. But all the food is already spoiled since there is no warning that the fridge and/or freezer stopped working. :-(Apparently this is a common issue with LG, not only this specific model. Other people also have issues with the drain tube freezing up (the drain tube is supposed to drain the water which the evaporator defrost heater thaws. This cause water to overflow and build at bottom of fridge and/or freezer and leak onto the floor, damaging the floor. Some people jury rigged an copper wire extension from the defrost heater into the drain hole to transfer heat from the heater into the drain hole. LG is aware of these issues and has done nothing to address them.Three recommendations for LG: 1- Engineer a better way to detect that there is ice building up and/or make sure that the defrosting cycle is long and/or frequent enough to defrost the evaporator coils and fins. 2- Have an ALARM whenever the temp inside the fridge and/or the freezer is above the set temperature, to warn against spoiling food.3- LG should engineer something to ensure that the drain holed does not ice up. (a heat transfer copper wire as above or a separate heating element around the drain tube).Even if they do listen, I will never purchase an LG product again. -Avi

The one I had was dual doors side by side with an ice maker and an insta freeze feature another feature I liked were the salad drawers that came included. My mother recommend I purchase it because it holds a lot more food than the GE I originally had the salad drawers were above all my favorite feature because Im always eating salads and it keeps my salad mix fresh. But it wasnt scratch and finger print resistant so Im constantly cleaning it plus the fact that a lot of crumbs get stuck underneath the drawers and its a pain to clean.

We purchased the washer and dryer set. Thought it was going to be great but has turned out to be the worst deal ever. We have had nothing but problems. We have same issues everyone else is having, uneven load, uneven balance. Takes forever to do one load of laundry. We paid a lot of money for the set. Now looks like we are going to have to buy another set but different brand. Anyone thinking of buying these please dont waste your money. LG needs to make this right for their customers. I will not purchase LG anything now.

We bought this LG Inverter Linear fridge due to large size and do love that we can fit a lot of stuff in the fridge - however this fridge is less than two years old and not working. We called customer service on Wednesday. They have not yet called to set the appointment even after our follow up call on Friday - so here we are 5 days into a non working fridge or freezer and no repair appointment scheduled by LG - remember a $4000 plus fridge that’s less than 2 years old plus loss of the food that we have to throw out.

Both this product and customer service were awful. Bought fridge brand new, and the Ice machine never worked. Customer service sent two different technicians with over 5 different parts plus a new fridge door, in a span of five service calls and could not fix the problem. After the hassle of trying to get a replacement, they denied it to me and are just reimbursing me the money, not taking into consideration that I paid on a credit card, accumulated interest AND had paid extra for installment. Both this product and LG were of very poor quality. NEVER using their services or products again.

This is the WORST experience I have ever had with a major appliance. I should have known when LG started sending yearly checks to make up for under estimating the electric usage of this model. I have replaced gaskets around the doors twice. However, my MAJOR complaint is the tubing that runs to the ice maker. I have had repairs/tubing replacement no less than 6 times in five years. Almost every six months the tubing (5/16 tubing - which is virtually impossible to find) springs a pinpoint leak and water is all over my kitchen floor. Every time I have a repairman, it costs me at least another $100. My latest was again this morning!! This refrigerator is not worth the dynamite I would use to blow it up!

Slick and smooth with an Ice dispenser. The ice dispensed was fairly large and the handle was curved. The fridge itself was of average size. The freezer section wasnt unnecessarily large and was all the space I really ever required. The fridge could have been larger though, but not for its price. The size of the fridge couldve been larger with less unnecessary pullout shelves and more standard shelves. The door shelves were decent though. The production the the aforementioned ice was also somewhat long as well. The price of the refrigerator is what caught my attention. Then again, the fridge was on sale and wasnt at its standard market value, thus this opinion could be skewed or biased.

Oven started smoking from back side close to the wall. Smelt and looked like it could be burning from inside the back of unit. Called LG on Oct 10th. LG sent repair company on Oct 19th, repair men said they had never seen anything like this before. It appeared that the underbelly of the stove had melted something that they could not repair and thought LG would end up replacing the unit. After several calls to LG and them promising to keep in touch by several departments from first call to report the issue to elevated with executive to liability am told the warranty had been voided due to us extinguishing the potential fire in our kitchen. Today is November 12th. Was promised another call on November 9th. Again no response on side of LG.

Our LG stove has also experienced cracked plastic stems on the SS burner knobs from regular use as others have posted. The problem was discovered when one burner would not turn off as the knob had rotated past the stop. This is a major safety hazard. The cost of replacement knobs is at least $75 to $95 each and not an acceptable option. I have devised a simple fix to reinforce cracked (not broken) plastic burner knob stems. The total parts cost is less than $5 for five burners and can be done using typical household hand tools or tools that cost only a few dollars each. I am preparing a detailed instruction sheet for sale on eBay for about $10, but will offer the draft now at a discount to anyone interested.

Refrigerator has been defective since purchase. Have now owned the above refrigerator for 5 years. It was purchased brand new from Home Depot. During this time, the compressor has been replaced 4 times. The Evaporator has been replaced. The Condenser has been replaced. They think the control board may not be working either. Additionally, 4 times, during these various replacements, it has stopped cooling within two days of the parts replacement, requiring another tech to make a service call and charge the Freon. In summary, I have been without a refrigerator for a total of 73 days. I have lost 5 refrigerators full of food due to spoilage and missed over 45 hours of work waiting for a tech. Bought a LP1111WXR at Home Depot. Could not get the unit to work. Called LG and they arranged for a service call. At no time did the customer service rep at LG Corporate ask for or require documentation, they advised that with the serial number they had the information they needed. LG customer service arranged for the 3rd party technician to repair the A/C unit. The tech arrived and confirmed that 99% of the unit functioned properly, except the canister holding the coolant had left the overseas LG factory either a.) without being filled, or b.) with the canister seal improperly properly fit (all coolant leaked out), or c.) with a cracked or defective canister (all coolant leaked out). The technician was set to repair, and then asked for the authorization number I had been provided by LG customer service. The senior advisor at customer service had never provided an authorization number. I advised the tech that LG arranged for the service call. He checked his notes and confirmed that LG Corporate had in fact arranged for the service call....but, nonetheless, he still needed an authorization # (which I was not provided). When I called back LG they gave me the runaround for about 1-hour transferring calls, on hold, etc... The supervisors whom I spoke to where now nasty, and horrible. They advised that it was my fault for not having the authorization number, and would not help in anyway. I now know, firsthand why and how LG sells their electronics at such a great price. Their customer service is awful, misrepresents, and when their product is discovered to be defective, they will not fix it.Worst customer experience Ive ever had - dont buy LG. Ill never buy an LG product, regardless of the price. Never again.

In-door features, online connectivity and support reminders lists, Alexa compatibility are features that I like about this refrigerator and the icemaker makes the most perfect ice cube in the most amazing shapes and sizes for the whole families choices. One of the main reasons I finally decided on an LG refrigerator was the sleek design inside and outside. It is purely beautiful in design and a very beautifully functioning machine. The pricing is the first major obstacle to ownership. The size of the refrigerator is another thought to consider for apartment dwellers. It is a large refrigerator but not overly cumbersome in design so it equals out.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not buy an LG washer and dryer! I purchased a high end type LG washer and dryer in Nov. 2013 and have had to have both of them repaired at least two to three times in the first year. At least during the 1 year warranty, LG did pay for the repair costs, however now that this warranty is over, I guess I am looking at spending $300.00 or more per year in repair costs to keep the units operating. LG Customer Service states that they will not extend the 1 year warranty or replace either of units. Buyers should consider other manufactures such as Kenmore, Westinghouse, etc. My past experience with Kenmore has been very good, and I am now sorry we did not buy Kenmore units. Purchased new refrigerator from RC Willey 18 months ago with our new house, have had an LG frontload washer and dryer for over 7 years without an issue. Fridge had great reviews and we really liked the door-in-door. Has worked flawlessly until yesterday. Found water all over the floor (luckily we found it quickly and cleaned it up, it would have eventually ruined our laminate floors (except I have not pulled out the fridge to check underneath). Checked with the manual and went through all the troubleshooting, nothing worked. Called customer service, and they quickly set-up a case number and scheduled a technician to come and see what is wrong. Had the service company call me the next day and confirm an appointment for the following day (Good so far, right? Except all of our frozen food is thawed. Luckily my wife is a florist and she has a floral cooler that we put our refrigerated items in). Two hours later the same person called back and said that they cant do the service call, they do not do LG warranty work. They would call LG and have them schedule someone else. Wanting to make sure that no-one dropped the ball, having no fridge/freezer is a major inconvenience, I called LG service back and asked if the cancellation had been taken care of and a new service company scheduled. It had not. The customer service person was apologetic and said that they needed to get an authorized service company scheduled to come service the refrigerator, because not all companies are equipped to handle cooling issues. Why wasnt this already figured into the request? The person also let me know that the service will hopefully get set up tomorrow (Friday 1/18/2019), and I should hear back next Monday or Tuesday. They gave me another case number. So I went back to the original text response I received from LG Customer Service, it indicated an authorized repair service located 68 miles away. Except I called them and they wont do any work on LG refrigerators without a work authorization code from LG. A cooling issue? They told me they arent equipped to work on LG cooling issues anyway. So then I started looking on-line to see if this was a common problem. Way too many nightmare customer service stories for an issue that is an obvious defect. I would not choose to be without a fridge/freezer for any length of time, and would want to replace it with another product quickly. Pretty disappointed in this product that was pretty expensive.

Purchased model LDE3035SB on 10/27/14. On around the 23rd of Feb (2015) I decided to do the easy clean on my upper oven (this is a double oven range) since it wast that dirty to require the self clean cycle. When it finished I had to wipe the bottom out because there was still water in the bottom. I was about to put the rack back in when I noticed something that I thought was food in the back right corner. I tried to hand clean but it would not clean. I rubbed my fingers over and felt that about a half dollar size section of the enamel was gone. Called LG and they said they would send a repair person out at our expense. We had not used this oven much because we had been gone over all the holidays and could not do much cooking in Jan. because we were having it remodeled and only did toast or baked potatoes or something simple. When the repair guy came out he told me I was pushing the rack back too far and said that LG would not cover anything like this because it was considered cosmetic. We asked if it could be repaired and he said no. We contacted LG and were told they would not do anything about it but for us not to use the any of the self cleaning cycles. If this is true and the blue enamel is only cosmetic, then why cant we use the cleaning cycles. We even went to Lowes to see if they could get something done.... they were told the same thing. Funny thing I was recently told by 2 different appliance repairmen do you know what LG really means when I was asking about my range.... It stands for Lousy Goods. It is only a little over 4 months old and I wont be able to use my self clean. When it gets to filthy, we will toss it and a new rage but not a LG. $1,300 down the drain.

I waited 40 years to have a nice kitchen, and I was taken in by the good looks -- and yes, I admit, the blue oven -- on the LG. What a mistake! We bought the 5 burner gas range, dishwasher and the microwave with the expanding vent. The dishwasher was a lemon out of the box -- Lowes just picked it up and left a new one. The microwave vent kept popping out, no way to secure it. We had to take the same product as a replacement because the bracket was drilled in the new tile wall. Waited TEN WEEKS for the replacement. I can faintly smell gas from this range; a snarky local repairman insists its my imagination. I entered a second complaint when the oven started to fluctuate wildly - set it at 350, it soars to 475 and then drops to 300. I love to bake and gave up on my holiday baking because this was so bad. The repairmen - from a second place - gave me a little lecture about reading the handbook and not using an independent oven thermometer. I havent cleaned the oven since these issues started -- Im afraid it will start a fire. I wasnt happy that LG never followed up on my complaints, either. I want to replace my refrigerator next -- you can bet it wont be an LG product. I am bitterly disappointed in this stove. I feel like Im stuck with it unless I just toss it to the curb. I could never sell it to anyone. Im calling again tomorrow and telling them I want it replaced, repaired or refunded -- I dont expect any satisfaction at all. I wish I had found this page before I bought LG products.

I am writing to complain about the product quality of our appliances. We have had all of our appliances for less than 2 years (refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave) and in those 2 years we have had 3 significant issues. The dishwasher was repaired a few months ago because of a major mechanical problem causing the buttons to glitch. Our oven reeks like gasoline every time it is turned on (service request entered to be told it is out of warranty. Cannot be fixed without a $125 fee) And most recently - our brand new microwave just STOPPED working today out of nowhere. It won’t power on even though there is power to the outlet. I was told we had to pay for a service request with no guarantee on product replacement and out of pocket cost. We can’t do that again, and will be forced to buy a new microwave (not LG).The quality of our appliances is completely unacceptable. We bought new appliances and were excited to have them as part of our first home, and their quality and function have been extremely disappointing and unreliable. There is absolutely zero reason why an appliance that costs thousands of dollars should fail like these have. To add, the warranty is outdated and a sham. To give people a year warranty on crappy devices is unfair and not right. They break right outside of the warranty, forcing customers to spend hundreds on parts and labor to repairmen. I will never ever buy another LG product and will make sure I tell my friends and family the same.

My husband and I purchased an LG appliance package in April 2016 after I did careful research on the products that were available at the time. We got a fridge, microwave and gas range. The first problem that we had was our fridge. The compressor went out about three years in which LG fixed. Next up, about a year ago, our ice maker just stopped working. Around that same time, I heard a very loud pop in our microwave and that stopped working.I had a tech come out to take a look and it was the entire control panel which was nearly the same amount the microwave cost in order to fix it which we ended doing. I didnt want to get another brand because this microwave has a special vent that goes above my range. The tech also looked at the refrigerator ice maker and mentioned that we may need to replace the door which is a common problem apparently. Unfortunately that is too pricey for the time being so now I have no icemaker.Until yesterday, Ive been happy with my LG Gas Range... I started getting an F9 error which means the oven isnt heating correctly. Tonight I was making dinner and the oven turned on as usual and said it was preheated. I started cooking and opened the oven to check my food. Low and behold, the oven is barely hot. I check the oven temp and its 205 even though the temp says 400. Sounds like another problem that is going to cost me hundreds of dollars to repair. Ive only had this appliance package for 5 years. It is so disappointing to have a problem with everything Ive purchased from LG. Ive been making sure to tell all of my friends and family to avoid LG because of all the problems Ive had. The only appliance I have in my kitchen that hasnt had any issues is my dishwasher but thats a Bosch. Im glad I didnt get one from LG. Although the LG appliance look beautiful, please avoid them because right now Im trying to plan meals without the use of my oven until I can get it fixed. What a disappointment.

I have a front loading washing machine, bought 3 months ago. There were soaking wet clothes water all over my floor, too much to mop up. I have called customer service 3 times about this machine, model # WM2240CW. They gave me two numbers to call. It will take a week to have someone come out to look at it. Meanwhile, I will spend my day off of work cleaning up all the water. The worst part is I have called twice before.

We purchased this refrigerator on June 6, 2018 from Home Depot. In July 2019, the refrigerator stopped cooling. (How convenient, right after the one year warranty expired.) I called LG and they sent an authorized repair company to my house within two weeks. The company, National Platinum Service, replaced the compressor and filter. On December 24, 2019 the refrigerator stopped cooling again which caused us to throw away all of our food for the second time. We spoke with LG and they scheduled a different repair company, Advanced Appliance, to come out on January 6, 2020 to replace the compressor and filter again. On January 10th, the technician came back out to make an adjustment to the refrigerator and check on the status. All was working at that time. The next day, January 11th, the refrigerator stopped cooling again. On January 13th, the technician came out and said that there was likely a freon leak that would need additional parts to be ordered in order to replace the unit. On January 20th, the same technician came out again to replace the evaporator coils and he stated that he was not confident that this would be a long term fix. He said he spoke with LG support and was told they would not replace the refrigerator until they (LG) spent $1000 on repairs. The technician from Advanced Appliance stated that he felt we had a defective refrigerator and he would need his supervisor to come out and review the work that had been done up to this point. We currently have a refrigerator that is not functional and hasnt been for several weeks now. This is absolutely unacceptable. We have had to take off work 7 times for a technician to come out to TRY to repair the refrigerator in addition to not having the ability to have any food or drinks that need to be refrigerated since December 24th! The 5 or 10 year warranty doesnt matter when your refrigerator dont work and continues to break. Why on earth would I want my refrigerator to be replaced with a new and updated compressor after all of this nonsense especially when the first one should work in the first place if you are selling a high quality appliance? All I want at this point is a full refund and Ill be a happy customer.

Bought the washer and dryer on 1/23/12. After about a year I started to see rust around the bleach dispenser and it is progressively getting worst. Notified LG in June 2014 was told to call Home Depot. They sent me back to LG. I bought an extended warranty from Home Depot but was told it did not cover this issue, only the moving parts. Called LG back and was told that would get back with me with a fax number to send them the bill of sale. After not hearing from them for a week, called them back and they told me they would only come out if I paid for service person coming out and repairs. Now I have a washer which no one is willing to take responsibility for the problem, which is progressively getting worst.

It was the cheapest refrigerator that I could afford. All of the rest were very expensive and not worth the price. It was the color I liked and in my price range. However, the storage space can be improved. It can also have more shelves to hold items. Also I think it should have more freezer space. And a wider variety of colors to choose from. Overall I like my ice maker. I really like to eat ice when IM hungry. I also like that I can adjust the temperature settings. There was also room for all my fruits and vegetables.

I’ve been wondering why my clothes have little holes in them, get pilly and faded so quickly, and even get tied in a knot sometimes when I do a load of laundry. I finally realized it’s the new washing machine (WT7600HWA). I am so disappointed. The spin cycle is so high that it’s causing little holes In my clothes. I believe it’s also causing the clothes to get all entangled and tied up in a knot which is difficult to untangle and make them a very wrinkled. I am very unhappy with this washing machine and very disappointed. I would not recommend it to anyone. I also don’t like the cycles are so long, why should I take an hour and a half to do a load of laundry? That uses more electricity and water that way as well.

My husband and I bought our home in 2008. The sellers had purchased Lg appliances one year earlier. We noticed our food was warming intermittently then to discover the light was not going off with the door closed! The melted plastic and fixtures were not repairable. We were told that this was an issue LG knew about, but because we did not hold a receipt, they would not do anything to help us. We also had to replace the electric stove because the glass top burners stopped working at 2 years old. We also had to have a repair to the dishwasher because the electrical harness inside the door melted!!!! We strongly recommend NOT purchasing LG appliances.

We bought our LG ref/freezer about 5 years ago. We have replaced the icemaker at our expense two times. While it was under warranty, the icemaker had several parts replaced. Now shavings of metal has shown up in the ice. We have spent so much money on it. We have just turned the icemaker off and gone to using ice trays. We own a 1950 Hotpoint that has the little freezer on the inside. I never spent one penny on it and works great. They just dont make them like they used to.

Purchased an LG side-by-side refrigerator with door-in-door option (M/N LSXS26366D, S/N 709MRFP09283). The first problem is that the software function occasionally (about every nine months or so) turns off the compressor with no alarming what-so-ever. You have to watch for water on the floor and freezer items starting to thaw. You have to remove power for 15 seconds and then turn it back on to get the system operating again. Nothing in the manual about it. I had to find that out looking at on-line complaints. The final problem is the compressor died 2 years and 10 months into operation (purchased Oct 2017, now Aug 2020). No alarm for that either. Looked the same as the controller failure, but this time resetting several times didnt work. Tragically, you cannot get the door-in-door option anywhere else. Maybe with some luck I can find a repair person that can remove the LG installed Linear Compressor with something more reliable. If the controller is what died (rest of the unit works, just no cold air), then I purchased a very expensive dump decoration.

Sealed system on 18 month old LG refrigerator (LFXS30766D-01) failed. It was under warranty, but LG has been unable to find anyone in our area to service our refrigerator. It has been over 3 weeks now. They have passed the buck to someone else to try to find someone to service it. Nothing has been done. I have spent hours on the phone trying to find someone to fix it. One LG approved company came to diagnose the issue, charging $100 and stating they were unable to fix the problem and good luck finding someone - no-one around here wants to work on these refrigerators. LG is NOT standing behind their warranty and is not fixing nor reimbursing for their failed product.

It is not my overall first choice and I prefer other brands over it. I have not owned an LG in a long time. It met my initial expectations but I was not overly impressed or surprised but how well it performed, etc. It was very large and made of stainless steel and had wired shelving inside with different compartments for veggies and fruit and an attached freezer on top. I did not like the wired shelving units and the handles on both the top and bottom were easily unattachable which made opening and closing it difficult. I also did not like the color but that is more for aesthetic purposes.

Purchased model LFXC24726S/00 November 2014. Had to be serviced January 2015 due to excessive ice buildup in freezer. Time frame was 5 wks d/t, part not in stock, reorder wait & install. 8/1/18 fridge dead. Told 8/14 would be soonest tech would be available to come out, diagnose, possible order part if not available then repair...2+ weeks with no working fridge. Told I could rent one in the meantime and be reimbursed at 25% of the cost of my fridge. Seriously?!! Lost food, utilize insulin (requires refrigeration), had to purchase a new fridge ASAP.I don’t about anyone else but I don’t have $2200-$3000 lying around for new fridges every 4yrs. Totally unacceptable! I will NEVER purchase another LG product again as they are not supported by the company once you get them in your home. It was suggested that I have it moved into the garage after I get the new one & allow them to repair it. Why the hell would I do that? I don’t need 2 fridges, I just need 1 that is reliable & works!

I moved into a home in 2013 with a 2010 LG refrigerator. Both of the water lines have had to be repaired. On November 2, 2015 all food in the refrigerator was freezing. LG will not send out a technician unless you pay them in advance on credit card - $195 for all parts and labor with a 90 day warranty. A sensor had to be replaced. Today (March 9, 2016) the food is freezing again. I just called LG and they want another $195 before they will send another technician out but not before March 14. Their products and repairs are useless. DO NOT BUY LG.

I really liked the looks of this dishwasher until I got it home. My biggest mistake was not returning it immediately. The third rack was a pain in the neck because you could not fit glasses in the middle rack. I removed it to solve that problem. The collapsing racks have proven to be a nightmare. They will not lock in and they keep collapsing when you load dishes and cups into the washer. They have proven to be a great disappointment. Sometimes you have to fight the soap dispenser to get it to close. Next time I am going back with Maytag.

I Purchased my LG refrigerator in February 2015. The coolant leaked out of their lines & everything in my refrigerator was ruined. It is 75° inside the refrigerator. I called repair person. He said this is a very common problem with LG refrigerators. It is under a seven-year warranty for your sealed system but you have to pay $375 service fee for labor. Plus there’s at least a week wait for factory service tech to come to your house. They are very poorly made.
