I purchased my LG refrigerator in 09/29/2015. After 4 years of service it suddenly stopped working. I had not heard of the problems til this moment. Looking at everything on the internet I wonder if I shouldnt just buy a different refrigerator. We have had a tech here and he is ordering a new compressor for our frig. We lost all or most of the food plus we had to purchase a small freezer to keep food in so we werent running out with our concerns about COVID. I had bought an extended warranty at the time of purchase because the fridge. Was only fully covered for 1 year. Now I understand LG has revised it to cover 5 years so I spent that money for nothing. We are retired and so our money is tight and every cost affects the budget. We havent had a refrigerator for just about a week and now I am thinking about buying a small one for my garage just to keep cold drinks and condiments. With the freezer and small fridge Ill have spent 400.00 dollars and I now I think the money would have been better spent buying a different brand. I havent had to deal with LG in any of this with my extended warranty and with other complaints not sure I want to. If you are reading these post stay away from LG refrigerator until they prove they have fixed these problems. They had to settle a class action lawsuit in 2014 and now are back in court as of 2019 with the same problem and new complaints. This means that LG has had an ongoing problem without resolution for over ten years and are willing to continue to sell these products. If this were a car company they would be forced to make a recall.

The knobs are not safe just brushing against them just as other reviewers have said and you have gas leaking into your home-no safety lock position. The oven warms up to 500 degrees no matter where you set the temperature, I have burnt everything I put into this oven as I cannot calibrate to get a correct 350 degree which is at where most baking is done! There must be some website or news outlet to alert the public of this piece of junk produced by LG. Will not be buying nor recommending any product made by LG. I will be putting this on our Nextdoor website as there are lots of homes here in upper $$ that are buying and replacing appliances in their homes!

I got my LG washer in 08/09. Its now 3 to 4 years old. I had paid good money for this thing. It started banging and we thought it was the bearings. We tested it to check if it was the bearings that seemed to be the problem. We ordered the parts costing to some $80. My husband and son, who do small engine repair work, took everything apart to install them. Well, once the bucket was removed we found out that the T-bracket that is attached to the drum was also completely rotted. Seriously, they gave warranty for the bucket but not for the bracket. So even though it says, Stainless steel bucket and warranted, the bracket is not. Avoid LG at all costs! Waste of my money!

Noisy $4,000 fridge! LG refrigerators are noisy. The linear compressor runs constant and makes a humming and ringing noise that you can hear from other rooms. The LG Customer Service is awful, and they give you run around when you call...on phone for hours! Do not buy LG - horrible experience, and no resolution in sight.

I purchased a LG refrigerator model LFXS25623S/00 in 2017. Refrigerator & freezer stopped working end of May 2020. Have been battling with LG for over a month. Last week they sent out a repairman that said it’s the compressor but he can’t fix it because it is under warranty?!? I have been given 2 case numbers because I am being sent from dept to dept with no resolution. I am bedridden due to terminal illness, my caregivers are having to bring ice every day to keep some of my meds cool and are having to bring in my meals because I lost all of my meats and no refrigerator working now to replace lost food. I’m only asking for my refrigerator to be repaired but apparently that is too daunting of a task for LG.When I call in I am put on hold to be transferred and then the call drops. This has happened numerous times. I received an email saying my case is now being turned over to the Defective Returns Dept. It has been 5 days and still no word from that Dept. I purchased this refrigerator thinking I was getting a high quality refrigerator and paid the high quality price but I am definitely not getting high quality customer service. Obviously with all the compressor issues LG knows there is a problem and should be prepared to offer resolutions in a more timely manner.

Bought the 4.1 high efficiency top loader on 2/1/14 from Lowes and on 5/15/15 the washer broke. The codes that keep showing up is telling me the problem is with the drain hose. So Ive checked the hose, removed it, bought a new one and still the same code appears. So I took the back off to check if something is blocking the hose and nothing. When the clothes are washing the water will not drain it is aimed into my stationary tubs so I lay it on the floor and the water pours out but doesnt stop so the washer can fill up to actually clean the clothes. Called the 800 number to be told its out of warranty and I need to call a local repair man. Many places dont deal with LG repairs and the ones that do charge $100 just to look at the problem. A total waste of $800 on this item. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS WASHER.

We have contacted LG about the issue with their over the range $400 microwave door design flaw! After being ignored for several days, we sent the receipt and pictures of their product that was falling apart. I called and they said they are unable to provide us with a replacement door. Really? Is this is how they take care of their customers? They dont even provide you with options! We were not asking for a new microwave since it is out of the one year warranty. LG customer service is terrible. Obviously, we are not the only ones complaining about the door issue. I see other customers’ frustrations as well. Way to go LG. They should change their motto; instead of “life is good”, it should be “life is no good” (because we do not take care of our customers). The whole microwave function isnt working. Now, we are forced to buy a new microwave oven!

This refrigerator is made with weak plastic parts and cheap plastic mechanisms that crack and break after a few months, including the hinge mechanism for the door. I spend over $100 on replacement parts; one of the spare parts that I got in the mail was defective. I have never ever owned a refrigerator that required repair work for the shelves and drawers or any other component. Do not buy LG refrigerator. They are poorly designed and are costly to repair. Additionally, this refrigerator does not hold the temperature well and is not good for storing meat, especially chicken or fish.

I highly recommend NOT purchasing any LG products. Customer service is pretty much nonexistent. From the day I received my EXPENSIVE, brand NEW washing machine. There were issues. Bought an LG, top-load washer, 3 years ago, model # WT1101CW. There are only 3 of us in the household so the washer was used lightly. Last night it decided to commit suicide. The washer plate and the drive shaft assembly broke into pieces while washing a single shirt. I later found out, this was only half of my problem. The following day I spent 3 hours ping-ponging back and forth with LG customer service (which is in the Philippines... ie, broken English) and Encompass, their third-party parts department. Neither can answer any technical questions and will only ask for a part number.I finally received a phone number for technical questions, but upon calling had to provide a service ID number, which I dont have because I am not a certified technician. Now LG is telling me not to fix it myself, but to call a service technician. I called and they said they would send someone out within 7 days and they would look at it and order parts and that would take another 7-10 days. Once the parts arrive they will send a service technician out to fix it. So, I can use a laundromat for the next 2 to 3 weeks, and then pay a hefty repair bill, or I can just go buy another washing machine from a reputable company that actually provides customer service, and in English. Never again LG! Only 3 years and this LG washer will now be in a landfill. If everybody knew how poorly built these machines are and the non-existent customer that LG provides, LG would be out of business. I can only hope at this point.

I chose LG because of the price and the amount of shelves options for water and ice dispensing and more. Also I think the salesperson did an awesome job at telling the features on the fridge. I dislike the amount of money it adds onto my bill at the end of the month though. Also I do not like how the steel on the fridge is super easy to scratch. But I like the amount of ice dispenser options it has including cubed crushed and some others. In addition I like the taste of the water because of its awesome filtration system.

LG Oven Model LRE 30755ST - Tried to bake some brownies at 350 and the oven overheated out of control to the point that the brownies burned, the pan was ruined and smoke detectors went off. Must have been several hundred degrees above 350. Technician felt that the heating elements got stuck on, vs. cycling on and off. I felt that an oven heating up out of control should have been considered a safety issue vs. just another repair out of warranty.

My 3 yr old LG fridge compressor stopped working. It is the linear compressor and when the technician came to repair the fridge he stated the compressor needs to be replaced with an updated model. This did not fix the fridge. The 2nd attempt was a different company that stated the first repair was wrong and replaced the compressor and lower evaporator. This still didnt fix the fridge. The first tech returned and stated the lower evaporator was installed incorrectly and attempted a repair with little confidence it would work. I have contacted LG and they refuse to replace or fix the fridge at this point because I cannot find the receipt. I contacted the location I purchased it and I am unable to get a copy of the receipt. At this point the $3800 fridge is just a large paperweight that will cost me to recycle. LG has horrible customer service and refuses to honor their warranty and back their service techs work. I would not recommend buying LG and will not make another LG purchase again.

We purchased the LG TOMM Washer & Dryer, and the Washer Seal around the door has always smelled moldy and puttered. After numerous complaints we were asked if we ran an empty cycle with Fresh Product or bleach to alleviate the problem. My comment was and is twofold, first why would anyone purchase a energy saving product and need to run an extra load every third or fourth load to clean the machine which is suppose to clean our cloths? Where is the savings with that? Secondly why is everyone having this problem and the Foreign Manufacturer doing nothing? Besides maybe someone in this country still builds a quality product domestically! We are willing to pay the price to support good design engineering and American Built Products. No stars due this product.

We purchased our LG Refrigerator in October 2016. It is a French door with dual ice makers. We did love it but like so many others... our compressor broke and our food was ruined. No small expense. Because there is such a demand for replacement compressors I was told there was a back order on them and it took 10 days to get it fixed. Additionally, we cannot get the right fruit/vegetable bin (when facing the refrigerator) out to clean it without breaking it. The gentleman who repaired did get it out and broke it in the process. If anyone would care to shed light on this I would greatly appreciate it. I did read the manual and when you follow the directions, it jams against the door. Also, there in a clear plastic easy access door inside the main french door that catches and pulls open each time you open the main door. Our solution to this was to tape it shut. Lastly, the handle has a button to push to open to access milk and other beverages and apparently it is painted plastic not stainless steel like the rest of the handle because the paint wore off the first year... Looks pretty bad for a high end fridge.

Updated on 07/06/2020: This is my second review about this situation because I am locked out of responding privately to the company representative because they never responded to my last question. I have been trying since June 10 to get LG to honor the warranty on our refrigerator which stopped working on that day. First, I tried to get a letter in email for my repair person allowing him to order the parts which are still under warranty. When the letter finally came two weeks later, it had the wrong address. At that time, the representative who contacted me after my first review had already said they would rather offer an amount than deal with repairs. Still, I gave him the correct address and waited. Neither the correct letter nor an offer had come a week later, so I called the warranty department as he recommended. The lady there did make an agreeable offer and said the process would begin when we got an email about the offer. She said the email should come soon and that all steps had to be completed before we would get the payment to replace our refrigerator.A week later, we have received no email so Im assuming the 5-6 week process she mentioned will not start until we get that email and who knows when we will get it. I have just spent 1:22:00 hours on hold this morning waiting to speak to someone about this. Bottom line: Do not buy an LG refrigerator if you dont want to live out of an ice chest for more than a month waiting on them to honor a warranty.Original Review: After five calls to LG where customer service representatives have told me repeatedly that an email authorization will be sent within an hour, by 5pm, in 24 hours, it has been a week and still no authorization letter has been emailed to my repair service.

I own the LG WT5101HW top load washer. I purchased 3yrs ago from Best Buy.
I own the LG WT5101HW top load washer. I purchased 3yrs ago from Best Buy. We have a family of 5 so I hoped the extra large capacity would be a great option. Unfortunately we have benefited from this option due to it throwing it off balance and giving an UE code. We received a recall letter and had the LG repair guy change the part (I believe the circuit board) in September 2013. Its no ones fault but mine that Ive waited 9mo to complain about the fact that the problems have been worse since the repair was done, but in my defense it didnt happen right away. The knob for the settings however did not get put back correctly and does not spin freely like it used to, but I tried to overlook that since it would cost me a day of work to have the repair guy come back out to fix it. The unbalance code would occur only about 2 or 3 times a month in the past and we just thought it was overloaded or honestly unbalanced, but when we checked it the clothes were not shifted in a way that shouldve caused it to be out of balance in my opinion. In the last 2 months however the code goes off more often, to the point where its every other load it seems even on a small load. The drum is very violent and causes the machine to shake around a lot. And when you move the clothes around and push the start button again even if it says only 1minute is left, it will run for an hour if you dont stop it. We have had to just turn it off and put in the dryer. Thankfully it has not ripped apart as Ive seen in videos, but at this rate it seems its any day now. When I called LG about the on going issue, they said that a repairman could come look at it, but it would be at my expense since its out of warranty. Doesnt matter that it is the same problem from the recall nor did it matter only 9mo have passed since the recall repair was done. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was given the same speech. I have been a huge LG fan for years after buying my first flat screen t.v. from them, but our family will never own another LG product after this and I will spread the word about LGs lack of concern involving a very expensive washing machine that last less than 3yrs. Id rather have my old Whirlpool washer with over sprayed paint to cover the rust at this point!

Updated on 03/11/2019: This is a follow up to my January 2019 post. I lowered my rating to one star since the dryer (DLEX5680) was repaired only to break again within 6 weeks. The dryer was serviced and our house dryer vent was cleaned as recommended before using the dryer. It worked wonderfully for 6 weeks and now have the same symptoms. There should be a recall on this dryer. Very frustrating.Original Review: I purchased the dryer in mid-2014. Worked well first 4 years... Broke with a common issue. The dryer stopped working without warning. It thinks its drying but the machine is not running or drum rotating. Evidently this is a common problem since the repair company knew the problem and the part to order without a visit. Its been 3 weeks so far dealing with the warranty company and now we have to wait for the part. I will follow up this review with the wait and repair time.

Purchase Lg Range at best buy in Oct. 2013 with two year warranty. Range broke, it’s over two weeks- still waiting to be repaired. Made an appointment with LG Customer care Monday. Technician came out Thursday, claimed the parts that was sent to my house by customer care were wrong, so he ordered the part using his cell phone and he gave us time and day that he will be back Saturday same week between 11:00 am to 1:00pm. We waited and he didnt call us. We called him back after 1pm. He didnt get the part. Made another appointment with him, we said Monday morning we’re at home. We go to tampa to work from Monday afternoon and be back Wednesday night, he said available to come Tuesday. We have to work so made arrangement for him to come on Thursday. He said okay, Thursday Jan. 22, between 12:00-1:30. We waited - no calls so we called him back after 1:00. He said “I thought it was done”, we asked “did you get the parts you needed?” He said “yes”, so why he said he thought it was done if he still has the part with him. He said that we did not call LG customer service to make an appointment for him to come, I said: “You gave me a time and date that you will come out Thursday between 12:00 and 1:30pm, why do I need to call LG to make an appointment if you made an arrangement to come?” So, I called LG customer care again and spoke with RJ and advise me that I dont have to call him back because he will be sure that he will call us (Bill the technician) to call us back. Waited again - no call from him so, I called LG back again and spoke with Kyle - couldnt help me, transfer me to Willie, the supervisor, and he said that the LG policy is for the customers to call back to make an appointment AGAIN, if the technician couldnt make it again, and to make another claim to have the stove fix. And then I was transferred to LG Premier Care, spoke with Carnecsha and I told her I will file complaint and Ill call Consumer Advocate to complain. She told me I couldnt do and I told her “why not, we’ve been pushed run around, as a consumer we have rights, this is our life, we bought the warranty as we were told by sales people.” And then she transferred me to Best Buy to the Geek squad who carries the warranty that we bought, and then transferred again to LG to make another arrangement for technician to come out.

We purchased a top of the line LG refrigerator Model #LFX28978ST from Home
We purchased a top of the line LG refrigerator Model #LFX28978ST from Home Depot on July 4th, 2012. On December 23, 2012, it quit working. It is now January 21, 2013 and I am still without a refrigerator! I called the LG Hotline on December 23rd and was told that they could have their certified repairman out on the 28th of December. He came out and told me we needed a new compressor; he didnt carry this part on his truck so it would have to be ordered. The compressor would take a week to get here. On 1/3/2013, he returned with the compressor, installed it, added Freon to the refrigerator and stayed until he felt the unit started to cool. He told us to wait 24-48 hours. Being a little gun shy about losing all of my food the first time (I had the refrigerator stocked for the holidays), I waited a little longer to go out, purchase more food and sure enough on 1/7/13, the refrigerator stopped cooling again. I called LG and was told that the repairman that had been out before was off for two weeks, and that I needed to call a different authorized repair shop. I did and was told by the person at that repair shop that they did not work on compressors and would not come out. I called LG back again, spoke with a different person and was told that our original repair person could be out on 1/10/2013. He came back out and after trying different things, we were told that the refrigerator could not be fixed and that it would have to be replaced. He gave us a fax number to fax everything to LG, which I did the next morning. I received a call from the repair center the next day and was told by Barbara from LG Repair Center that I would need to email the paperwork to her. I told her that I had faxed everything the day before. She told me that was just a general fax number and to email everything to her at an email address that she would email to me. I tried a few times to email the paperwork to her only to get error messages; the email would not go through. I called Barbara back and she gave me her fax number, so I once again faxed all of the paperwork to her. I received a call from Barbara the next day to tell me that they would have to get a replacement refrigerator from their LG warehouse, and that it would take 7-10 business days before someone would contact me to set up a delivery date. I asked her where their warehouse was located, and she told me TX; I told her that I lived in TX! I asked why so long, and she told me that they have to tell everyone that it will be 7-10 business days for someone to contact me to set up delivery. I have been a month without a refrigerator. I have spent more money on eating out and buying ice this one month than what I spend in a year’s time. Not only does LG not care, they dont care!I will never buy another LG for as long as I live. I wish that I would have seen this blog before I bought this piece of crap. I will tell all of my friends and family about this. I am hoping that they tell all of their friends and family. Also, be aware that LG is making refrigerators for Kenmore - this is from the mouth of the LG repairman!

The refrigerators main CKT board failed (blown fuse) 7 months after purchase on 3/12/2009 resulting in spoiled food. LGs authorized repairs first repair was to jump the fuse. After complaints, I received a new board, which the repair facility installed. I kept the old board. Last week the start relay on the compressor failed also resulting in a loss of several hundred dollars in food. Contacted LG and they referred me to Encompass after I received the so-called replacement relay from Repair Clinic. (It had 2 terminals that plug into the compressor and was not the correct part, which is a 3 terminal device (relay/OLP) with 2 receptacles on the opposite side for the start capacitor and 2 spade connectors for the power (line and neutral). (An easy repair if you have the correct part.) Contacted at least 3 other part suppliers including Encompass and all had the same information and same wrong part. After spending $1600 for this appliance and losing hundreds of dollars in spoiled food and many hours trying to contact LG technicians, I have temporarily hooked up a Supco 3 in 1 (relay, OLP, and the original capacitor). I am a retired physics and electricity teacher (41 years experience) and I think their support is terrible. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone. The pictures submitted show the original relay, the two replacement parts (relay and overload protector), manufacturers tag and receipt).

Bought an LG French door refrigerator in 2007. In 2010 the water hose in the back of the refrigerator cracked and water started leaking into the wall between the kitchen and garage. Never got water in the kitchen but in the garage. So we had that fixed. In December of 2013, the freezer wasnt keeping the temperature consistent cold. Called in an LG approved repair person. He couldnt figure out was was wrong since the compressor ran and occasionally cooled. Finally he took a wrench and hit the compressor and it started cooling. It ran for 4 months. He said oil got into the unit. At the beginning of this month, the compressor stopped working completely. Called another repair service. A new compressor arrived, but it wasnt working. So they ordered another one. Today the repairman tried to install the new compressor and it didnt fit. The wrong model was sent. The compressor is on back order and may not ship for two weeks, which means that I will be without a refrigerator for 5 weeks by the time the compressor arrives and thats if it arrives when LG THINKS it will. It may be silly of me to think that a refrigerator will work for longer than 7 years. If you are thinking of buying an LG appliance, my advice is DONT! The product is cr** and the authorized repair people have no idea what they are doing.

I am beside myself with this machine. Right from the get go after purchase, the motherboard had to be replaced because it would stop spinning and send an error code. The worst part though is its ruining my clothes. I only put bleach in one cycle and that is my white towels and other whites. It doesn’t matter how long after a bleach load, it could be the next day, the bleach leaks on my colored clothes and has ruined many, expensive towels and cotton expensive cotton shirts. Even if I try to dry the dispenser out. I have called lg and home depot where I purchased the machine. Lg had the dispenser replaced but nothing changed. By the way, I put just a very small amount of bleach in the dispenser. This is so wrong - I have so many ruined towels and I threw everything out before, but now I’m saving them for evidence. Who can help?

After using my hand me down washer that was 23 years old, we decided to purchase a brand new LG front loader. We purchased it at a Best Buy with the matching dryer in October 2011. Now February 2012, I had to have a service technician come out to repair the washer. When the washer tried to turn clockwise, it made a grinding sound not be able to spin. It did spin counterclockwise. Of course, the warranty ended three and a half months prior to this problem. The technician told me he reconnected the bolt on the inside and it should be good for a few days. He told me that he assumed that I washed large loads. Why wouldnt I wash large loads? That is why I bought a large capacity washer. Stupid assumption! Anyway, he told me it would cost $350 to replace and repair the part. As for it lasting a few more days, I put in a load of three pairs of socks and one t-shirt. It still grinds! So much for a few days. Also, Mr. technician, is three pairs of socks and one t-shirt a large load to you?

I bought an LG side-by-side refrigerator in Aug. 2009. It has been a problem since it was delivered. The first one was replaced and a new model was brought out. This one has been a nightmare since. The ice maker freezes up and does not work; you only get shaved ice. It has leaked to the point that it has bubbled the paint and rusted around the bottom of the exterior part of the ice maker. I have contacted the extended warranty company Assurance, which I purchased. They have been out for four different occasions and replaced the ice maker. They said there was nothing they could do about the rusted and peeled paint.I contacted LG and they said it was something I intentionally did to the refrigerator otherwise, it would not have done it. I was told by NFM that the extended warranty would cover all defects. Under the LEMON law, after 3 times and it would be replaced. Aug 23, 2011, I contacted Assurance and the representative gave a claim number and said it would be replaced; transferred me to an underwriter and he informed me in no circumstances did I have an extended warranty that had a Lemon Law Clause in it. It would have had to be added separately. I told him I never heard of that. He explained that he would not exchange this product for that reason and I would have to contact Nebraska Furniture Mart, which I did and still waiting to hear from them. LG makes the worse products and hopefully, the government will step in and take away their right to sell this crap in the USA. I have also told them the freezer has problems also; freezes up too much or not enough, and the refrigerator part stays cold or freezes everything.

I was disappointed to find my refrig was aluminum instead of the stated stainless steel. To check yours apply a magnetic to it. If it sticks, it is steel. If it doesnt, it is probably aluminum. It is so hard to keep clean and I can no longer keep my recipes or keepsakes or photos on it. Although the sides are not aluminum they are too closed in to use. As far as the workings go, it seems to be working fine. However it is only a few months old. I have only one complaint so far. It cost 50$ to replace the water filter every 6 mo. Whats with that? I never had to replace it on my old one and had no problems. Of course it wasnt an LG. Then I read that you have to have a LG repair man only to repair it. Not very customer friendly. I wish I had read the reviews before buying. Ill know better next time...

Since the day I bought my LG fridge I have had issues, a leaky water dispenser and frost building up in my freezer so I can’t use it. LG has sent repair here at least 9 times and they refuse to replace the fridge. There is always an excuse. The freezer door has been replaced 3 times and repair just left and LG had them here to verify that the fridge needs replacing. Once again they refuse to do so and are ordering another freezer door. Customer service lies to you on the phone and you just keep going around in circles. I spent a lot of money on this fridge as a replacement after our house being hit by a tornado and I am appalled at the treatment we have received! Shame on you LG! If I could rate it a zero I would!

I purchased a $700 LG washing machine. After 1.5 years, the machine stopped working. It literally died, no display, no nothing, right in the middle of a wash. The lid was electric, therefore we could not get our clothes out of the machine (in about 12 inches of water). We had 4 different servicemen out (sent by LG) and none of them knew how to open the lid, until the 4th arrived with a 9 volt battery and got it open. Of course, the clothes were ruined. I explained the situation to LG and they actually sent me a check for $275 (the estimated cost of the clothing) and Best Buy gave me credit for the defective machine, which we used to upgrade to a better model LG washing machine. The new expensive machine continually gave the UE error message, inappropriately. It would show this even when we were cleaning the tub and nothing was in it. This got so bad eventually it started taking us a day or more to complete one load of clothes.Sooooo, I put in another call to customer service, who repeatedly told me it was out of warranty and they couldnt do anything. I asked to speak to someone in management and was transferred to executive services. They actually listened to my story, sympathized with me and sent out a repairman (who ordered parts, over $900) and fixed the machine. It now runs great! So, even though some companies like LG make a product that has serious performance issues, their customer service has done an excellent job addressing my concerns and going out of their way to make it right.

Model WD-10165FU - I am a South African customer and we have a 9 year old LG Front Loader washing machine (in excellent condition) which has been giving trouble for some time. The problem has been intermittent completion of wash/rinse/spin cycle. I had to resort to taking back cover off and manually coaxing the pulley/V belt to turn the drum. At times during the wash cycle the water would drain out but no amount of coaxing would induce the machine to spin.Today I called out an L.G. Electronics technician who, after checking the brushes in the motor, told me that the problem lay with the P.C. board but then informed me that P.C. boards for this model had been discontinued and there was no other P.C. board which would work. And then the coup de grace - he said I would have to buy a new washing machine. Is there any reason for me to feel totally dissatisfied with L.G. products! I feel that L.G. Electronics have erred badly by not ensuring that such an important part is readily available. I now have to discard an otherwise perfectly working washing machine and outlay big money for a replacement, which most certainly will not be another L.G.!

In May of 2009, I renovated my kitchen and bought two new appliances - an over the range microwave and a dishwasher, both LG products.Last week, on February 8, 2012, the microwave stopped heating. I called the company and after describing what happened was told that the magnetron went out. Since this is my second home, this microwave hasnt been used more than 100 times from the date of installation and I felt they should take responsibility for the repairs. I was told that the magnetron is covered but the labor is not. Then they told me to call a certain company to have it fixed. The service company said that they will order the part and when the part arrives, they will call me to have it installed. They refused to give me an estimate for the cost of labor. Eventually, after several calls, I was told it is around $220! At this point, I sent two emails to the LG company and as of today, February 15, 2012 got no reply. My other appliance, the LDF9810ST dishwasher, simply does not wash. I wash everything before putting it in and, again I wash and dry some dishes after the 3-hour cycle is done. Also, the plastic baskets are falling down or do not slide back. It is the worst dishwasher I have ever came across. When I told them about this problem I was told, Oops! You bought a floor model, and because of it ,we cant help you at all!At this point, I am angry, and I feel used and abused by a company that makes such bad products and cares so little for the customers. What a self-centered motto on their website, Life is Good! Whos life?I will never buy another LG product again and I will advise all my family, relatives and friends to not buy LG products either.

We leave the door open, clean the filter fairly often, and drain the tube. No warning - it just happens. Use HE detergent sparingly and Warm/Cold or mostly Cold/Cold setting. Has done this since day one. We do clean the seal around the door as well. Not sure why this stuff burps out once in a while, but more than just annoying. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

They warranty the motor of my LG front load washer for 10 years, and my washer is 3 years and 2 months old; however getting them to come out and to process for the eventual replacement has so far taken 3 weeks. They are moving to replace because it wasnt 4 other things they replaced. They tell me since the part which was on back order for 3 weeks and suddenly arrived without warning, DURING the time period they were reviewing for my replacement which is 3-5 business days, that I have to start all over with another 3-5 business days to review for replacement YET AGAIN. Ive been 4 weeks without a washer. The customer service reps sound like robots reading from a script. They dont even sound human. This part that suddenly arrived without warning during this period when I thought I was receiving news that I could go pick up my new washer? Well, nobody even told me it was coming. The repairman, Ron, didnt even bother to tell me it had arrived at his house yesterday. He had this part and couldnt come out to my centrally located home for another week! Well, he came today and the machine still isnt working. So here I am on hold with robots, waiting for a supervisor to see if I can somehow bypass this mandatory review process which she told me wont be authorized till next Monday. That is 7 more days from today. Their service truly sucks. Nobody seems to care.

My 6-year-old refrigerator quit completely (most likely compressor). I called LG as parts are still under warranty. They gave me 3 places to call to schedule a repair. I called LG back and was told to see if I could find somebody. I called several places and got the same thing so I called LG back again. I was then told I would be placed with scheduling and somebody would call me in 3 to 5 business days. I asked was their list different or more current and was told his list was fine. I asked him to go unplug his refrigerator for the next 10 days and throw away $300.00 worth of food. He said there was no reason for me to get smart. This is unbelievable. LG doesnt know which of their service providers still honor their calls??? I am now shopping for a refrigerator after 3 days of doing without and no resolution in sight and considering an attorney. I have read far too many horror stories.

We bought two new LG washing machines, one for our daughter and one for us
We bought two new LG washing machines, one for our daughter and one for us in 2010. Last year, after 6 years, our daughters LG washing machine broke down. This year, yesterday, our 7 year old LG washing machine broke down - in each case it was the motor - you could hear the defective motor. The motors are specifically labeled on the machines as being guaranteed for 10 years. We went out and bought a Samsung washing machine and dryer the same day as the breakdown, expecting the LG dryer at 7 years was not reliable either. Oh yes. There are only the two of us - retired man and wife - living in the house so the machines are not used that much. If we were a family with small kids, the washing machine doubtless would have broken down much sooner. I wonder if the executives running the LG operation are reading these consumer posts? They should. Word gets around.

I bought a new LG WT7900 Washer (their top-of-the-line top-load machine) in May 2020 (3 months ago). The direct-drive motor now makes a very loud grinding noise (even though the motor has a 10-yr warranty). Ive since learned that this is a common issue thats been going on for nearly a year. I called the LG 800# found in the Owners Manual. They scheduled a repair appointment with their third-party repair service (A&E Factory Service, which also goes by the name Sears Appliance Repair... really????). I took the first-available a.m. appointment, thinking thatd increase my chances of them actually showing up.My Service appointment was scheduled for 7am-11am today (Aug 8, 2020). You guessed it... NO ONE showed up, or even bothered to contact me (other than a confirmation text I got yesterday). So I called their 800#, and was on hold an HOUR before getting a live person (guessing lots of people are having similar experiences since their phone lines are so busy??). When I finally get someone, he says he needs to put me on hold while he investigates the issue. But after being on hold another 10 minutes, the line disconnected. So now I have a brand new LG Washing Machine that doesnt work, and LG is taking no responsibility to fix it or replace it.

I purchased the machine about 6 years ago. For the last few years, rust has accumulated around the outside of the bleach dispenser (i.e., the area where you pour the bleach in to be dispensed later during the wash cycle). It is getting worse and covers a larger area as time goes on. According to the LG customer service, the cause is spilled bleach around the dispenser area and furthermore, they say, this is merely cosmetic and does not affect the function of the washing machine. I disagree.First, as noted, the area is growing. Second, there are stains on clothing after washing that are hard to explain any way other than something to do with the rust on the body of the machine. Finally, I do not believe it has anything to do with spilled bleach because there is a spout in the back of the machine that delivers rinse water and that spout is also rusting. It would be necessary for me to purposefully pour bleach over this spout, or wipe it on, in order to for bleach to cause the rust in that location. Like some other reviewers, I have had a few problems with a UE error message, but it usually works out. This could be because I do wash rather small loads and I tend to use the bulky bedding setting, even for small loads, to get enough water to thoroughly wash and rinse the clothes.Overall I am very disappointed with the LG and would prefer an agitator type machine in order to not use so much water for small loads. Thats what I will be looking for to replace this one - since spending even $300 for a technician to come and look at it seems excessive. I should add that three years ago I purchased another LG machine for a different location; at that time there was no rust on my home washer. The newer machine has been used rarely because it is in a vacation house. Nonetheless, after approximately 100 uses, the circuit board quit and the machine is dead. Naturally it is out of warranty, so getting rid of it seems the only sensible solution.

I think the person does not know that the plastic should able to bear the heat at least for 5 years, this is a defective design. The surface of the stove gets hot and the vapor now can go inside the display panel. This is not cosmetic issue, it is a functional issue. If the color is fading or scratch on the paint or the glass of the oven gets dirty, this is a cosmetic issue. If the glasses broke besides being a cosmetic issue has a protective function. Would you board an airplane knowing that when its electronics fail, there is no way the passenger door can be unlocked? This is exactly how the WT5070CW LG washer is engineered. Ours died a mere 4 years (!!!) after purchase - its electronic controller died in the middle of a wash cycle and left the brain dead machine with its door locked, with no manual way to unlock it, holding hostage a full load of wet laundry which has been rotting there for ten days, exuding a horrible smell! And, to add insult to injury, here is what happened when we ordered the part from LG (via Sears Parts Direct, order number **) and paid extra for expedited 2-day shipment: after 4 days we were informed that LG has not shipped yet, no reason given (the part should directly from their warehouse to home) and there is no guarantee when it will arrive. This is LG engineering! This is LG customer service!

Bought an LG electric range from Lowes. LRE3083st 5 mos. ago still in warranty. First time we used the self clean oven set on 3 hrs (it can also be set on 4 or 5 hrs), the oven and the top burners got so hot that it melted the cabinet doors beside the stove. Talked to several people at customer service, sent all requested documents, got the run around. Finally they refused to do anything about it. Said we must have inferior cabinets. We are afraid of this stove, we think it is a fire hazard. LG products are crap and their customer service is non-existent. BUYER BEWARE!

The dryer is efficient however, the front loader filter that is located inside the door, requires constant monitoring for tears and dismemberment of the felted seal. This prevents the dryer from either being more efficient or rendering a timely and efficient manner in drying the clothes. We have noticed that when we attempt to fix the felt, and a proper seal is achieved inside the dryer, the clothes dry quicker and more thorough.

My LG washer/dryer lasted a for a few years, then promptly stopped drying. Authorized service tech came out 4 times, each time replacing more stuff, the typical blind replacement strategy without doing any real diagnostic work. Several hundred dollars of new parts, incidentally I have the old parts in hand and they tested fine. Anyway, it still doesnt dry any better, but somehow passed a self test. Tech said that the support guy he was talking to at factory said we should get a new unit, but when I call to begin this process, LG says they cant authorize that because the self test passed. Call me crazy but the ultimate test of a dryer is whether it dries clothes. LG says it is normal for the clothes to come out of these combo machine dryers somewhat wet. Theyve also discontinued this model (WM-3988HWA). I wonder why. Perhaps Im not the only consumer who expects a dryer to dry things. Dismal support by LG. Yes, it is out of warranty, but if they cant fix it at any price and have discontinued the product, that to me means the product is defective and a prorated refund/exchange should be offered.

Bought an LG refrigerator for 4 years ago. 2 months ago our refrigerator and freezer stopped working. We lost everything in the fridge and freezer. As we no longer had a warranty on it we used our American Home Shield warranty. They sent a technician out to diagnose that it was the compressor. The repairman stated there was 10 year warranty on the compressors because of problems that LG has had. Because of that he couldnt fix our refrigerator LG did not contract with them for warranty work after waiting a week for him to get there. American Home Shield then sent out Sears not to fix the problem but to diagnose it again. That was the end of week two. We then had to wait another week for the compressor to come in and for Sears to come and fix it.3 weeks without a refrigerator or freezer. Living out of A cooler. The 1st technician told us, Dont be surprised if something else goes out because your compressor has made your refrigerator work too hard as it was dying. Sears tech however denied this statement and said no. Once we fix the compressor no problem. Well its now 2 months later my fridge and freezer do not work again. Lost everything again. Took a week for American Home Shield to have Sears come out again for a recall on their original work and he is determined it is the motherboard that is bad and he cant tell if the compressor is bad because the motherboard is not working so well have to wait until the motherboard comes and he fixes it and then we might have to wait again for a new compressor. Once we fix it no problem. BS.Not happy with this LG product. I got it because of all the problems I had with my Frigidaire. Is there not a refrigerator company out there that is selling quality products. So now that Ive lost two freezer full of food two refrigerators fulls of food and living out of a ice chest for now for weeks and more to go Im not a happy camper with LG. Not to mention we go thru bags of ice at $4 a bag and have to put new bag in every other day. So at 4 weeks so far with both repairs LG has cost me $56.00 in ice and we dont even have it fixed yet.

My refrigerator has been a nightmare since the day I bought it. A month into the purchase the freezer drawer would not pull out. No big deal. The repairman came and fixed it. Recently, however, was the worst when I walked downstairs on Christmas night and heard dripping water and found it coming from the ceiling of the bedroom-right underneath the fridge. At midnight my grandchildren and I we were unloading food into our cheap garage fridge which we paid about $300 for and has never given us an ounce of trouble! This occurrence was another water line that goes to the ice dispenser. My LG is 5 years old and this is the second time this has happened. It has ruined my wood floors for the second time. I have to replace baseboard for the second time. I have to replace sheetrock for the second time. But this time I have to replace my beautiful cabinetry in my kitchen and that is almost impossible to match and will be a major expense. The first time the repairman came he told me LG uses cheap tubing that cracks over time (less than two years). He replaced one tube, but evidently not the other, hence the second major leak. The tubing cost around $12 to replace, less the house call for the repairman. Now can anyone tell me why LG cant put a piece of decent tubing on the back of the refrigerator in the first place. It would save so many people so much grief, so much money and so much time. Come on LG, cant you put out an appliance that would make people happy rather than cost them a fortune in house repair? For an extra $12? Really? You cant spare a $12 profit to make a decent appliance? Remember, Life is Good, until your LG refrigerator leaks through your wood floors and sheetrock - twice.

Bought a supposedly top of the line washer dryer LG Tromm set in 2006. Washer broke down, as it was out of warranty, paid for diagnostic repair from company referred by LG and was quoted more than $1000.00, so decided to buy a newer LG washer model only to find out that installers wont install as the newer models stacking kits will not match the older models. LG has a lot of discontinued products, one of them is this WM2277HS. Parts are not even available. So when one breaks down, it is not repairable, and instead of just replacing just one appliance, you have to buy both the washer and dryer even if the other one is not broken, as none of the current models will match with the older appliance, specially the stackable models. Customer service is very poor, no one seems to know anything. So I suppose, LG in a way make their products not last long enough and then will not have parts available, or repairs will cost more than a new machine.

We purchased this washer approximately 4 years ago. It just doesnt work and hasnt since we owned it. You constantly get an error code on the machine when washing. Cannot get through a complete cycle without an error. Had LG recommend repair service (All American Appliance Repair, Daytona, FL) and replaced motherboard for $250 this time. Forty-five days later, doing same thing each time we use it. Called All American and LG back to have it fixed again. All American says motherboard was only warrantied for 30 days but LG says its warrantied for 90 days. Cant get straight answer from either party. Never been so frustrated with an appliance and dont understand how we can let companies sell a product with a known defect without a recall to fix. If you google you will see the same issues. We purchased it from Home Depot. I have the HD receipt, just dont know how to attach. Yes we would like to discuss with an attorney. Thank you.

My experience with this washer has been completely unacceptable. When attempting to run a small load, the machine shuts down completely during the spin cycle due to imbalance. On one occasion it took over three hours to complete a small load as the load had to be redistributed and the washer restarted on three/four separate occasions. When I e-mailed LG regarding this problem I was told to check the circuit breaker!! This is a design flaw. LG as well as some other manufacturers have eliminated the costly, heavy and expensive transmissions found in earlier washers with a system that just plain doesnt work. The agitation is so poor that clothing in the middle of the load barely gets wet much less cleaned. I am tired of removing dirty laundry from this machine after the load is done.

I had cracked the glass top on my previous LG range as a glass bottle fell out of the cabinet over the range. We went shopping for a similar range and I thought the model I was purchasing was self clean. We were in a family crisis at the time so I didnt do my normal research. I know the sales associate realized I wanted self clean so I really didnt pay enough attention. It was a while before we really used the range as we were out of town with the family situation. I have watched the videos regarding easy clean and LG claims small spots, light soil are easily cleaned after the easy clean cycle. I have run the easy clean three times today to clean light soil and it doesnt clean up with plenty of elbow grease. Ugh. I should also mention my husband has had to take the glass out of the door twice to clean soil or grease. We are retired so its not that we are always cooking.

I bought the LG Front Loader 4 years ago at Home Depot and it has ruined comforters, sheets and clothes with greasy black stains which dont come out, especially if you dont notice them and put the item in the dryer. If you catch them and rewash with bleach, they become light brown stains, but dont go away. It doesnt happen all the time, but often enough to completely frustrate us. We always use the detergents, no softeners and some liquid bleach. We run the tub clean cycle once a month and wipe out the nasty black gunk from the gasket regularly. I cant imagine that gunk is normal. I have owned many washing machines and none has ever left my laundry ruined like this.

Don’t bug LG. I purchased a LG French door fridge from Home Depot. After only a few months, the power did not come on. I thought it was a fuse or something. I contacted LG and they told me that I would have to have a technician come out and look at it. I decided to do that myself. I opened the back of the fridge and look around and noticed a fuse looked a little burnt. I got a better light and was sure the fuse had burned out. I didn’t see how to replace the fuse without removing the entire motherboard. I contacted LG and told them what I seen. They stated that they don’t replace the fuse but only replace the entire motherboard and it cost a few hundred dollars. I took it apart, replaced the fuse and now it happened again a few months later. I live alone and don’t really even use the fridge as a large family would. This is a piece of crap I will never buy LG again.

This machine is horrible and LG is not backing the quality of their product! There was a recall on this machine and it took three visits by the repairman to finally get my machine working properly and then it was only under warranty for 90 days, which is about how long it lasted before the unbalanced load started again. LG will not fix the same problem that was never fixed properly from the beginning. I am very disappointed and after doing online research it is evident that there is a problem with the machine that LG needs to take care of.

The refrigerator was ordered at Home Depot. I was contacted by LG directly that the product was on backorder and that they would not meet the delivery time frame. Two weeks later they called again to state that the specific refrigerator that I ordered was not available and discontinued. The offered a different refrigerator that did not meet the size specifications that were most important to me. When I stated the three specs that were mandatory to me - they basically said - This is what we can offer and thats it. They did not offer any other options. POOR customer service and even though they upgraded with one option that I did NOT want (wi-fi) the size is smaller, the product is disappointing. The refrigerator will either freeze produce or it turns to rubber. It does not maintain the quality of refrigerated products. I will not order another LG product as a result. The filter also only lasts 4 months - before having to be replaced. Freezer items get frostburn and ruins the quality of the product.

Each time I phone the customer service, they werent really helpful, all they do was transferring me to an extension number. We bought an LG front loading high efficiency washer a few years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. The maintenance required for routine use is more than one would expect for an appliance such as a washing machine. The machine routinely soils and streaks clothes and has ruined countless garments despite the suggested tub cleaning, wiping down, and costly extra tub cleaner. Additionally, the washer often leaks soapy water into the floor despite the use of HE detergent, meticulous measuring of detergent so as not to overfill. Now I must wash only small loads to keep leakage to a minimum--one of the big selling points was the ability to efficiently do large loads. Over recent days, I have had consistent leaking. I suspect we may have water damage below the floor, but no visible staining of the lower ceiling as of yet. I am constantly washing towels that I have to use to clean up the mess from routine use of the appliance. This product is a lemon. There should be some sort of buy back or trade in for some other, more useful washing machine.

This design of this dishwasher is a nightmare. Ive actually read the manual on how to load this dishwasher thinking maybe I was doing something wrong. There is nowhere in the dishwasher where plates stand up. The tines are awkwardly placed, and continually fall down, so maybe a few bowls can go in, but they land flat on their back, pointing up when tines collapse (not exactly conducive to cleaning). Its as though the bottom rack is made to handle a couple of large pots and maybe two or three bowls. The top rack is also strangely designed and again has very little capacity to handle many dishes or glasses. When the bottom rack has dishes in it and I open it, the weight on the door causes the whole machine to start falling out of the wall. Ive probably owned ten dishwashers and can honestly state that I cant even rate this as working. Im literally having it replaced and throwing it away if I cant get Home Depot to take it back... Its less than a month old but I just cannot stand it. Ill pay twice for installation but it will be worth it because otherwise Ill be washing everything by hand. I also bought LG refrigerator and micro... nothing special about them, but I guess I should be grateful they work.

The LG refrigerator was on a sale brand new and nothing was wrong with it. It was the first fridge I bought using my own credit card in my name. It has no issues what so ever mechanically. Stainless steel and I loved the organization options it has with it being huge. It had freezer drawers and fridge was sorted in a way even buying $1000 worth of food anyone could find anything without looking very hard. Best one bought yet. Love it! But it got dirty really fast, you can see the dirt without even looking very hard. The only thing is I can use water or simple cleaners to clean it. My parents and grandparents were looking for a fridge too and I recommended this fridge to both. 1 and 2 bought it and have said they love it. No issues at all and it matches with other appliances they have in their kitchen.

Purchased an LG 27 Cu Ft 3-Door French Door Refrigerator w/ Door-in-Door in Stainless Steel Model LFXS27466S. It was installed 10/18/2017. We have not been able to use the ice or water from it as it tastes like crap! When the fridge was installed, the guy started running water thru the water dispenser. Said to run a few gallons thru as theres something they put in for testing to make sure everything works. We later found out they never installed the water filter. According to tech services, this model should NOT dispense water without the filter installed. Called LG about the problem. You talk to someone with a very hard to understand accent, I think Japanese. They were supposed to contact a local repair place to come out and look at it. We called the repair place the day before to confirm appointment. They say they never received anything from LG. Called LG back and they again said they would contact local repair place again. Again, had appointment set up, called day before to confirm, and again repair place said they never heard from LG. Called LG and asked to talk to a supervisor. Was basically told were screwed as they cant find a local repair place! If they dont have repair service in an area, they shouldnt be selling their appliances in that area! So here we sit with no water or ice. The water and ice from our last fridge tasted so good people preferred it over bottled water! So the LG service is very, very poor. Would not recommend purchasing any of their products. We need to purchase a stove, microwave and dishwasher in stainless (currently have bisque appliances which theyre not making much anymore). I can assure you they WONT be LGs.

I purchased an LG dishwasher for my newly renovated kitchen, it was professional installed the first of May right before the final acceptance of the renovation. The plumbers tested the dishwasher and all appeared ok, I never had a chance to even use it once. On May 9th I walked into the kitchen to find three inches of water in the kitchen and dining/living rooms, with water pouring out from the dishwasher. It was inspected by the factory rep from LG that a clip on one end of water hose was missing and determined this was a factory defect. Since there was extensive damage to three Persian rugs floating in water, furniture and areas behind the newly installed cabinets I filed a claim with LG and after 4 months they still have not made a reasonable offer to reimburse me for the damages their defective product caused. Bought Sears Kenmore Model 795*77319600 (During troubleshooting I discovered this unit was made by LG for Sears!) in Oct 2007. Sequence of failure(s): 1st) Nov 2007 Upper freezer drawer basket rail bracket tabs crack - I used nylon zip ties to hold basket in place. 2nd) Apr 2008: Lower freezer drawer bin divider cracked at top edge. - Lived with defect, hoping it would hold. Repaired crack by splicing it with a plastic reinforcement plate in Aug 2014. 3rd) June 2010: Refrigerator lights fail, no plastic melted, nor food spoilage - I researched and found numerous similar customer complaints and LG recommended fix. I removed light cover lens, and both light bulbs, and used fridge w/o light! 4th) July 2014: Freezer no longer makes ice, progressively temperature gets warmer, then refrigerator starts to stay warm - Decided not to involve Sears Customer Service for repair, but rather do it myself. $1200 fridge/freezer should not die @ 7 years! I did some research, found a similar model service manual online, did some troubleshooting of the cooling/freezing system - sensor(s), and defrost timer. Found R134a to be too low. Fixed it myself for $35. Maybe I can get 7 more years @ $5 per year out of this LG piece of junk! I sympathize with my fellow Americans. Consumer trust has declined due to cheap poorly designed products... Whats the reason? Greed, Lack of Pride, Lack of Accountability. Make junk so we can buy more sooner? This refrigerator was purchased, before we bought our home, on 4/2/2015 by the previous owners. We bought the house on 8/31/17, and the appliances conveyed with the sale. On 9/23/2019, it abruptly stopped cooling without warning. When we called LG, they agreed to send a certified LG repair company out to us to diagnose the problem. This is one of the infamous models with the notoriously bad compressors. When the first repairman came out 9/30/2019, he diagnosed that it needed a full rebuild: compressor, evaporator, and dryer. LG rejected that estimate, mailed us a new compressor, and set up another appointment with the only other Certified LG Service provider in our area. The second company came out on 10/15 and replaced the compressor. The refrigerator seemed to be functioning normally for 10 days, just long enough for me to trust it again and fill it with groceries. Then it abruptly stopped working again. We were told that the earliest repair appointment would be 11/08, but that there was absolutely nooo wayyyy we would have to wait that long because this issue was being escalated to the early service list. We were given a $200 voucher for replacement groceries.11/08 Comes, and the service company is at our house again. He pokes around, makes a few phone calls, and determines that the refrigerator DOES need a new evaporator and cooler, but because the parts werent at my house, theyd have to come back. Their earliest appointment date was 12/3. The refrigerator was not freezing, but was holding at a pretty consistent 39 degrees, so we were able to still keep condiments and produce in the fridge. Thanksgiving passes without a functioning refrigerator.12/3, the fourth day we have taken off work for this issue, the repairman comes, spends three hours at my house, tells me he needs to make a phone call, and pulls out of my driveway leaving huge refrigerator parts behind. The fridge is now in worse shape than before, as it is not cooling at all. I also have old, ruined refrigerator parts that Ive been told to keep at my house until they can come back out and collect/recycle them responsibly. The fridge maintains a constant 78 degrees, which is 13 degrees warmer than I even heat my house in the winter...That night, we were told by LG that we would qualify for a refund or replacement of the refrigerator and that they would send us an email with a portal for uploading documents, but when I called back a few days later after never receiving the information, I was told that some sort of malfunction had caused them to delete my email address from the ticket. With each conversation I have with LG, and with the Certified LG Companies that they choose to do business with despite the most 1 star reviews I have ever seen on Google, I am left more flabbergasted and confused. My fiance is a construction worker, and I am a high school teacher. I have never experienced the level of disrespect and inconsistency as I have with LG throughout this ordeal. We have had to take off four days of work, lost 100s of dollars in groceries, and countless hours on the phone due to no fault or negligence of our own. I cant believe a multi-million dollar international company cannot do any better than this. We have another appointment on 12/27, so I will not be able to host another family holiday, and that will mark exactly three months since our fridge was rendered inoperable the first time.

Worst and Cheating Service from LG. Issue Started from Deepavali. I had complained regarding TV service before 40 to 50 days but still, the status is the same.My TV Model No. LG-LED/42LA6620 got a problem as the TV was not turning ON, regarding this I had complained and an executive told that they will come and diagnose the issue. After couple of days, he came and saw that there is a problem in it and told he will return in a couple of days and went. But later he did not return at all. He did not even receive our calls and we were in search of help, but nothing happened. Later I called to customer care and you people told that it will be done on chargeable basis. Even visiting charges should be beared by the customer. I agreed for that and requested for the executive at my place. And you people struggled a lot to arrange a person to my place but you people failed to do that. But we are the person who is suffering and ultimately our situation is like Wait or Go and as we got an expensive TV from you and fortunately or unfortunately I have got all LG brands in my house (TV, FRIDGE, WASHING MACHINE etc.,) and I am a promoter for LG product. But now am just afraid that how about future of the products I got. How the support and services for these products, am panicked. And after struggling a lot we didnt get any help from LG but we at the receiver end have to get our TV repaired and took that TV personally and went to the other city that is Hospet from Gangavathi for getting it serviced. After submitting that TV they told that it has to be diagnose and it will take a couple of days and we left our TV there and returned. After couple of days, they told that there is a motherboard issue and it will charge you around 7k to 9k.I told them to go ahead and service it. I want the TV to be Fixed. But trust me I have doubt on those technicians over there, I am having an impression that I am in safe hands or someone trying to loot us. But still, I told them to go ahead and service it. Later after a couple of days, I get a call saying that it will take a month to replace it. I told, Okay. Fix it as soon as possible. And later I get one more story that, We need bill sir as this motherboard is not available as of now, if you provide bill then we will look for depreciation and you can go for another model. Now am really frustrated and just cant control myself for simple issue, I am okay with taking TV personally to the service center, I am okay with replacing a motherboard, I am okay with money, I am okay with time. Now its a new phase. They are asking me to go for depreciation. But I managed my self to get the bill and submitted to them but until today am in the same situation and TV is in the same condition. Today 23/12/2017 morning when I called to the customer care, I get these type of responses ie., Sir you need to visit the dealer where you have submitted your TV, and, We cant help you in this, what the hell is this response from LG customer care, I made him realise that he is working for LG then he told that he will arrange call back. Later I called once again and narrated all the story to that lady, she told she will arrange a call back. Thank God that I got a call from LG but now they started with new story which clearly shows that they are cheating openly to the people. When I called in the morning and asked regarding the status of my TV, LG customer care people they told part is not available so it will take some more time. But after an hour I get a call saying that sir your LCD has problem as we are testing on your TV but there is problem in display. Now here we can see clearly, that from main office they are saying part is pending, and from Hospet dealer they are telling that, Sir motherboard we received and testing on it but there is a problem in LCD and it will be fixed with a charge of Rs: 24,000/- extra. If they tell us that its going to cost you more in which we can go for other options by dropping the idea of getting this tv repaired. This is so cheap activity done by you people to grab money or to drop the issue. If you people really need money/dont want to support then try to get it by earning with trust but not by cheating the innocent people, its our hard-earned money we spend on buy expensive gadgets by trusting giant companies. Now I am requesting you again to the experienced/some qualified engineer to look into the issue and solve it. Really LG is stepping back from giving services. Its really gonna affect the brand. I was promoter for the company but you people are making me to go for worst condition... If this is condition for few more customers then soon it is gonna be in helpless situation. I dont know what kind of engineers LG is hiring not capable to repair a simple issue then what for they hire a so-called qualified developers.

LG French Door refrigerator LFX28979ST - This the second LG refrigerator I have bought in the past 10 years. I have had problems with both. I have spent over four grand not counting over 1,500 on repairs. In the latest one we have replaced 2 compressor for over 1,000 dollars in 7 months. If they know they have problems with compressors the need to fix it. I give their product a zero rating. The whole LG staff is worthless and of no help and just pass the buck.

After 20 years with Kenmore we decided to buy a LG refrigerator. We paid $2200.00. It broke down after 11 months. Called Lowes to find out about the warranty repair. Was told to call LG. Called LG and was told to call a service company. Was given the number. Called the company and was told by them they have not did service for LG over 5 years and told LG to take them off the list. Called back to LG. Got the same number. Explained to them they do not service LG anymore. Was the told they cannot find anyone in our area. After two days of phone calls was given a number to someone called. He came out. Had never worked on LG before. Didnt know how he was getting paid. Call LG to help walk him through the repair. They told us it was a fan and will order it 4 days later. Still no word. Called LG. Was told the part will ship today. Refrigerator is still down. Will have to wait until next week to see if it gets repaired. I will never buy appliance or any big ticket item again from Lowes or LG or anything LG sells. Will stay with Kenmore or with a company that offers local service.

LG refrigerators with the NEW Linear Compressor are garbage. All new LG refrigerators have this compressor. They either seize or they leak the refrigerant. They fail after three years and so do the replacement compressors. Buyer beware.

I purchased a LG Premium Repair and Protect Service Plan on 6/14/17 ($385)
I purchased a LG Premium Repair and Protect Service Plan on 6/14/17 ($385) because of a problem with my washer. A tech came out several days later and determined that the tub seal had failed and water had destroyed the bearing. He ordered a part, which took weeks to show up. He replaced the part but the machine wasnt right. He tried removing & replacing the part but that didnt help. He said he contacted LG support service for contract techs and they gave him several thing to try but none worked. The tech made a total of 5 visits before deciding to replace the bearing assembly and the tub. It has now been three months!, 90 days!!, 1/4 of a year!!!, and nothing. Ive called LG numerous times and get the run-a-round. They have to wait on a report from one department or another, they need to check on the parts order, they need to contact the service tech, they tell me the tech will be contacting me shortly, and on and on and... Every time I call its the same routine.

I have an LG top loader WT5270CW. Not having other review problems like leaking or vibration BUT washed clothes, have a heavy white residue visible on black or dark clothes. Not sure about lighter clothes. Residue is probably there too but not as noticeable. Recommendations say wash dark clothes in cold water but I have tried everything. Warm, adding additional rinse, Woolite for darks detergent. Very frustrating.
