LG top load washer WT1201C - This clothing washer has one major flaw. If working properly it automatically balances the load. If it detects that the load is not balanced it will automatically rebalance it before completing the cycle. However, it frequently is unable to do this, requiring the operator to remove all the items and replace them in the washer. This often happens more than once during the cycle. If you are not constantly monitoring its operation you may check after the amount of time for the load has elapsed to find that it never completed its cycle. I would not recommend this product for this reason. I would never buy this again.

Have had the fridge over 2 years and the fridge stopped cooling, woke up to a puddle on the floor from the indoor ice maker melting... They only cover 1 year of parts and labor and 10 years on compressor itself, what a surprise... Its like they know it would break after a year... Good thing I have an extended warranty with Home Depot which covers parts and labor an extra 3 years. If it breaks again in 2 years Im just going to trash it... This product was made to fail, dont buy.

I purchased an LG front loading stackable washer (Model #WM3270CW) in April 2018. I contacted Lowes (place of purchase) in May 2018 due to washer banging and shaking when spinning. Service rep came and adjusted front right leg and said problem was due to being unbalanced and issue now fixed. Washer still having same issues. Contacted Lowes again and was advised to contact LG as they were unable to fix the problem. LG service rep came in August and advised would do nothing since I had not removed the attached stackable dryer. Shortly thereafter 2 boxes containing parts was received from LG with no explanation. LG now tells me to contact Lowes to fix the problem since I will not remove the dryer. Explained to them that I am 61 yr old female unable to remove the dryer which made no difference to customer service rep. Will NEVER purchase LG product again!

Been a reliable washing machine. Its survived 4 moves without any issues. Have not had any smell issues, water leaks. No issue with corrosion on the drum or motor. Would definitely buy another LG washer again. The machine just works, its now 10 years old and hope to stretch it to 20 years.

If I can reach out to one person to keep them from making the same mistake and buying a $5000.00 kitchen full of LG paperweights. The fridge has gone out twice. The icemaker leaks, the freezer frosts up, handle broken, and freezer door off track.. The split oven doesnt keep temp. Will burn everything if you dont watch it. The dishwasher and microwave is ok so far. If you have a LG linear compressor fridge do not stock it. Never know when it will quit. So disappointing after saving for so long to afford a new kitchen and end up with scrap metal.

LFX25991ST/05 LG French door counter depth refrigerator - I actually love/hate this refrigerator. It has worked well. I love the ice and water dispenser, however, it appears to be caving in. There is a long crack at the top running into the inside of the dispenser. When the water dispenser is pressed it moves the entire wall inside the dispenser. The frame of the entire dispenser is actually crumbling piece by piece. We have no recollection of ever dropping anything or anything falling on the door dispenser. We have no warranty left on it as it is now almost 3 years old. So we are faced with the repair. Frankly neither of would have the strength to push so hard the plastic would crack. I own an LG stove, microwave, washer and dryer. I am not unhappy with any of these - performance wise.

We purchased this LG TOP OF THE LINE 700.00 DISHWASHER IN 2015. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS SINCE. When we purchased it. It was for a brand new home. We had to have a plumber come in and replace some of the pipes and lines to be able to accommodate this dishwasher. The dishwasher never gets the dishes clean EVER! Im constantly having to clean the dishwasher so the dishes get clean. I almost have to clean the dishes before they are stacked. The top sprayer arm keeps falling off during its normal cycle. The baskets never stay connected to each other. Not sure why... We decided to buy a really expensive nice dishwasher and it has been terrible. Then we had to remove the bottom piece in the dishwasher that siphons any debris out before it goes into the drain. The recommended tablets for the dishwasher get stuck in the cup and ends up having to be cleaned out of the cup and I have to re run the whole cycle again. And to top it off now the motor is dead and has to be replaced. Oh the wheels on the bottom of the rack keep falling off. Technician will be here next week when they can fit us in 100.00 just for the service call. I will never buy an LG ever again.

DEAR LG I REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT SAMSUNG IS BETTER THAN LG, I HAVE WORST EXPERIENCE FROM YOUR COMPANY OR SERVICE... If anyone wants to buy fridge or any product from LG so I request you THINK before purchase, otherwise go to another company but never purchase LG product.. Their service was too much bad, actually we are buy one double door fridge from Nov. 2017, and Nov 2021 cooling problems and they come or take a charge for gas refueling 2800, and after 15 days same problems again and not again its again and again. Then they decided to take that fridge take to lg service center in the middle of Jan 2022, and whenever we call to service center they said only two words, We will inform you within 2 days. But never we got update... And again we call March 11 and they call back us and said, Your fridge was not working. Some cooling issues, and immediately we asked now what, AND THEY SAID, WE WILL CUT OFF 75% AMOUNT AND WE REFUND 25%. And my fridge was arounds 28,000 price when we purchase... Now Im asking to LG My fridge was now 4 years only then how said and where you got this rules 75% cut off the amount, Shame on you LG, SAMSUNG WAS BETTER THAN YOU FROM THE SERVICE....

7/17/2017 purchased a Sears Elite Stainless Steel side-by-side Grab and Go refrigerator model 51863. The product had the Sears brand but found it was made by LG for Sears. 8/8/2019 freezer and refrigerator sides were warm and melting. A Sears and a none Sears serviceman (2) came and diagnosed the problem to be the linear compressor which was made by LG had gone out. This was a new beautiful looking refrigerator just over over 2 years old. Paid $1751 for it and it would cost $1000.00 to repair. Wrote Sears Vice President of Customer Experience. Received a phone call from their Executive Complaint Department and spoke with a Debra (or Deborah) who after lengthy conversations told me that since I did not have an extended warranty, there was nothing they could do.I was livid. Researched and found hundreds of customers who has had this problem and also found there is a class action law suit pending awaiting to see if the courts would approve it. After the poor treatment from Sears, and after having read that some replaced compressors went out again, I opted to buy a none LG brand refrigerator. Spent total of $3000.00 here.3/9/2017 purchased an LG 65 smart TV from Sams Club. Model: 65UH615A for $1000.00. I have 4 other TVs, none of which are LG brands. The oldest TV is over 12 years old and I watch it the most and have had no problems with it or any of the others. 4/25/2020 the LG model went out. Yes, the TV that I have had just over 3 years! I get a black screen. Researched online and it appears the motherboard is shot. Have a call in to a repair person. WHAT is UP with these LG products? How disappointing is this. I really thought that LG was a good brand but my experience dictates otherwise. 2018 purchased an LG Stylo 4 from Sprint and am now having problem with this phone when I log it up. This phone is just over 2 years old. I am so very disappointed in the LG BRAND and will make no more purchases by LG. I also will not refer this product due to my bad experiences.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator from Home Depot and it was delivered and installed on 05/25/2016. It has worked great up until 01/24/2020 when it no longer kept food frozen or cold. Followed troubleshooting guide in owners manual, still did not work. Called LG on 01/25/2020 as the unit is under warranty and it took 5 days before repairman (45 miles away) could check the unit. Upon testing on 1/29, he found that the compressor and dryer went bad. It has now been 2 weeks and finally all parts are in, but repair facilities 1st opening is on Friday 2/14. That means 22 days of dining out for meals, which is not cheap. So, if you decide to purchase an LG refrigerator, I suggest you purchase a back up or you will lose in my case, a months worth of food.

When our old refrigerator quit a little over 2 years ago, my wife and I shopped around and decided to purchased a new LG refrigerator. When the door panel control indicated we needed to replace the air and water filters, we ordered replacements but before the replacement arrived the cooling shut off completely and we lost everything in the refrigerator. We later learned that if the filters are not replaced immediately the cooling shuts off. A little over a week ago and without filter replacement warnings, the refrigerator and freezer stopped working altogether. Again, we lost everything in the refrigerator and freezer. LG customer service was not helpful. We were told a repairman would contact us within 24 hours. 48 hours later my wife tracked down the repairman. I note it was not the repairmans fault. The repairman said the electrical operating panel, compressor and something other part were all bad and had to be replaced. Basically rebuilding the refrigerator. Repairman would order the parts. 6 days later we are still waiting. Using a dorm refrigerator from my office to keep milk cold for our two kids. LGs customer service has been totally inadequate and very disappointing.

Recd LG washer on Feb 07 from Lg warehouse. Around 4 PM Complaint to HD (we purchase from Cambridge store). On Feb 08 that washer front door is leaking. When we spoke to LG they ask us to troubleshoot the washer by doing a tub cycle. We question why we should be doing all this when in fact its a brand new washer which came directly from your warehouse, (CSR are horrible and rude). LG then said they will send a tech out to look at it. We cant have it replace since their policy is complaint must be file with 48 hrs. Our complaint was file with 24 hours. Today is Mar 03 and I still have a leaking washer. LG service are extremely Poor. Products are Inferior. Will never purchase or recommend LG appliance. Dont waste your money. Life is Grief. I purchased my LG refrigerator in 2015, within one year the ice maker died. This is after they delivered it and set it up wrong and flooded my house doing a significant amount of water damage (weve paid for everything out of pocket). Now two years later, the compressor died. We have been trying since November to find a LG service provider in our area to fix it. Needless to say a month later LG tells us to find our own repairman and they will cover the part. This refrigerator is in my rental property and we had to purchase a second refrigerator for the tenants because its taken LG so much time to look for a service provider. We paid $2950 for the fridge, $200 for the ice maker, $11,000 in damages from the improper hookup, $800 for a second fridge, and now it will be $500 for the repairs (not including the $400 compressor). All these reviews are 100% accurate, stay away from LG products!!!

Updated on 08/12/2019: I posted a review of LG refrigerator here a while ago. I described how shortly after the warranty ended, it needed a circuit board replaced and every shelf cracked. LG responded to me claiming this was unusual and they wanted to take care of it. They asked me for more and more information, model, serial number, date of purchase, photos, etc. This went on for several weeks. Finally they responded that the warranty was over and they owed me nothing. But they already knew this since my review already mentioned that. So the only reason they responded must be to give others the impression that they stood behind the products when they actually didnt. It was rubbing salt into a wound. I thought readers should know. And LG, dont bother responding. I wont fall for it again.Original Review: I think all refrigerators today are junk and this one is no exception. Shortly after the warranty expired, it needed over $200 in repairs (circuit board). It has a top freezer and bottom fridge. When you put your hand over the space between them, you feel the cold air escaping. Most of the poorly constructed shelves have cracked but I have been told this is standard on any brand of fridge. The shelves cost almost as much as a new fridge.

On August 1 2013 I have bought the LG washing machine model F1443KD/01, 11 kg direct drive. Warranty 2 years, price 859.14€. On 5.11.2013 I have bought LG Eco Hybrid dryer model RC8055APZ, warranty 2 years, price 1,049.00€, with discount 944.10€. In October 2014 water flow from under the washing machine and the dryer didnt dry. The dryer had alarm that filter is not clean, or it has finished the drying cycle after few minutes and laundry was still wet. They have changed the filter with another model. They have cleaned the system. I was told also that the motherboard was replaced with a new one And the machine was tested But it is not written on report that the motherboard was changed. Now, after 10 months the same troubles appeared. The washing machine they have changed the back tub, shock absorbers, sensor of vibration, POB. They also told me they have replaced the motherboard, but that is not written on the report, and they have tested the machine. So now after 10 months it seem that same mistakes are appeared. Sadly, that is my experience.

I have spent over 5 hours on the phone with LG so called customer service and parts orders which only exists in the Philippines... I Requested a US number or contact and there is not one. My problem is SIMPLE. I in need of a compressor and drier both under a 10 year manufacturer warranty that they just dont feel like ordering. Followed their instructions and had them send out a tech, take 99.00 from me for a covered part (for diagnosis) and now they say their Computer doesnt show the diagnoses or the technician notes. Talk about FRAUD!!! They sent the technician to my house! Even the technician was trying to say if he ordered the part(s) covered, we would have to pay him 400.00 or we could call LG ourselves for free! Have called over 10 times at this point only to purposely be disconnected after hours on the phone with them! This is ridiculous and illegal! Dont buy ANY LG PRODUCTS, they are liars and cheaters and try to extort $$$ from you!We are almost at 1 month of trying to get 2 parts ordered and still nothing! We had to buy a refrigerator in the meantime out of the paper. We have 2 boys with medical needs and refrigerated meds and they could Care less! Our refrigerator is 1.5 years old! So BRAND NEW & basically a LEMON! Dont buy LG & if you do, your problem will Never be solved in the US!!!

Dont do it!!! Do not invest in a LG Front Loader Washing Machine!! It is the worst washing machine, the most I have ever paid for a washing machine I have ever owned. Here you go: 1) There is a terribly designed trap door at the bottom left where you are supposed to a) clean your filter and b) drain your tub out if pump breaks or any other problem with water remaining in tub. Well, if the tub gets full of water and doesnt drain out, the tube doesnt work and you open the lint cleaner and water goes all over your floor. It is horrible. I really hate this washing machine. Now it is 2 years old and the WATER PUMP had to be changed out. OMG, what a disaster of an investment. Please listen to me: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS WASHING MACHINE.

I have had my LG range for a year now. The oven consistently burns food in the back while the front is not even cooked. The convection feature does not seem to work correctly and only burns food quicker. While the oven takes a long time to preheat, it will cook foods about 5 minutes faster than the recipe calls for so you have to pay attention. I thought the easy clean feature was self cleaning, it is not! My oven is stained on the bottom despite wholehearted efforts to clean multiple times. One major safety concern is that while the oven is on, the metal front of the stove becomes extremely hot and can burn you if you lean against it while cooking on the stove top and the oven is on. The stove burners all cook differently at the same temperature. The left front never brings water to a boil and it takes forever for any of the other burners to bring water to a rolling boil. The top is also difficult to clean and not like my old glass top. And lastly, and irritating quirk is that the ranges timer requires only minutes but the LG range top microwave requires minutes and seconds. I have reversed this and burnt several things. I want my old Whirlpool range back! It was consistent and it worked. I will not buy an LG stove again.

We were limited by the space we had available to put the refrigerator in height as well as depth and width. Issue of getting in the doors of the house also. We had to take handles off refrigerator and freezer doors to get the unit in the house. Dont really like that we now have a water filter on the ice and water line that needs to be replaced ever 6 months. The excess ice needs to be taken off the door and dumped into the ice bin in the freezer. Freezer is on the bottom and when drawer is pulled out it limits movement into the kitchen area from family room. The housing for the water filter is not all that substantial could have been designed a little better. Still, we like the led lighting the ice and water dispensers and individual compartments for fruits and vegetables. The door display reminds you of how long the doors are open.

We have an LG TV and it was a decent TV so when we decided to buy a new refrigerator, we looked at Costco and decided that LG was what we wanted to go with. I purchased it with Amazon and purchasing from them is always good so I had no problems there. But the quality of the refrigerator itself is bad. It was faulty and broken. I returned it immediately. I did not wanna risk the same thing because the repair guy who came out from A&E said that even though that wasn’t the problem with most LG refrigerators, the compression unit was definitely something that went out within the first 18 months. The repair guy would actually recommend GE over LG any day of the week. And customer service was terrible as well. I had several issues, especially since the LG product leaked water uncontrollably out of the ice compartment. There was nothing that we were pushing either. It was just dripping. We ended up having some water damage to our wood floors and Im still trying to get LG to pay for that. It’s been over a month.

I went online to discover this problem was chronic. Replaced Rubber tub door seal, but developed leak AGAIN just 10 mos later. Called LG, but they refused to do anything because out of warranty. Updated on 08/10/2019: UPDATE 08/09/2019 update: For those of you keeping score this is repair attempt number five. We still do not have a working LG refrigerator. We purchased our LG refrigerator in August of 2017 for $3000, stop working on June 22, 2019. THIS UNIT IS NOT REPAIRABLE! This company can care less that we do not have a working refrigerator! This has put so much hardship on me and my family.POSTED 08/01/2019: I purchased an expensive (getting more costly but the day) LG refrigerator in August of 2017 that stopped working June 22. After four visits from the repair company (hired by LG because it is still under warranty) to fix, we DO NOT have a working LG refrigerator. The repair person flushed the tubing for hours on two occasions, and every replaceable part is now new. But the LG refrigerator still isnt cold. And I dont qualify for the lemon law? From just yesterday afternoon I am out another $100 worth of groceries that I bought 24 hours after the repair, to-date we have lo over $500 of food from spoiling. My daughters health has started to decline from eating canned microwave food. We have been very patient (see the timeline below). Now I am contacting a lawyer to understand my rights regarding the Lemon law. Find out about compensation for the decline in my daughters health due to the circumstances that LG has put us in. Lost wages (20 hours to-date) for having to take time off from work so a maintenance specialist can spend 3-4 hours trying to fix. At this point, I am convinced that there isnt a part in the world that can be replaced to make my LG refrigerator cold and working again. To conclude, LG has scheduled another repair (5th time for those of you keeping score). The earliest they can come is 8/9. They are going to try and flush the whole system for the 3rd time. If you have a story like this, please send me an email **.TIMELINE. Saturday 6/22/2019 - The LG refrigerator broke. Fingers crossed that 8/09/2019 is still available.Original review: I purchased an expensive (getting more costly but the day) LG refrigerator in August of 2017 that stopped working June 22. I like the overall size of it for the space I need and large freezer door on the bottom pullout as big as I need. I cook a lot so its what I needed to fulfill my stuff. Actually the only thing I do not like on my whole fridge is the fridge does not come equipped with a water dispenser on it because I drink a lot of water and it would come in handy. It was between this model and a Kenmore and this was just a little larger for my taste and fits all my needs for everything I use it for since I cook a lot.

Sorry I didnt know prior to purchasing. We purchased in 2015 and it had a couple problems from day 1. The bottom racks fell in so we had to call a repair person who literally stretched the bottoms of the racks out so they would not fall into the bottom. Several glasses broke right off because the top rack has a terrible design. DW is hard to load and Im constantly shifting things. NOW it no longer cleans the dishes properly. We use recommended products and get residue now more than ever. Please stay away from this dishwasher.

Within 6 weeks of purchase, our washer would not turn on. We followed online instructions for a hard reset and were able to keep the machine running for a few weeks, then that process no longer worked. We called LG who scheduled technician. Purchase date July 26, first repair was mid September. Panel replaced. Washer worked for 4 loads and stopped turning on again. We called a second time. A week later a Tech came. He could not diagnose the problem even with another tech on the phone. Ultimately reported back to LG that our outlet was faulty or not properly grounded. We KNEW this was untrue because we had our electric upgraded years ago. We could not get another tech out until we proved we had proper electric. We paid out of pocket $170 for an electrician to come and test our outlet and amperage. There was NOTHING wrong with our home wiring. He suggested was a cord issue. We reported this to LG agents and were told a tech would come back with cord and replace. Tech came a week later. NO cord had been ordered. We were told it was on back order. This was third visit. Our original call to agents informed us that 3 calls to the home and our appliance would be replaced. That was third visit. (And it occurred on Oct 15 which was over a month without a washing machine.) We were told cord was on back order and would not be available until some time early November. Every time we called (four times) we were told something different about when the part would be available. The technician told us he would recommend replacement. He requested copy of receipt. We sent texted image to tech and assumed all was in place. Two weeks later, on Oct. 30 I called again for an update. I was told (after speaking to THREE DIFFERENT AGENTS) that the tech had not submitted recommendation for replacement.Agent contacted tech who said we had not provided receipt of purchase. I was also told by agent Arthur that the part on back order had in fact been sent to the technician on Oct. 23rd. (Per Arthur this came from Jamie in parts dept.) I demanded replacement. Was told to upload receipt to a portal emailed to me (which I did) and a replacement review would be implemented. Per agent Ivan this would take about 5 business days. The next day the technician called and wanted to schedule a Saturday visit for repair, because miraculously he did in fact have the part after all. My husband and I were both unable to be home, he worked and my father is seriously ill) so we declined that Saturday repair. I also was afraid that if he came out and was still unable to repair the washer it would cancel the process in motion for a replacement.I also reported this conversation to Ivan, as he called me back that same Thursday to check in and inform me that he had received my uploaded document as requested. He agreed that another repair attempt may further muddy the situation. Six business days later I called LG again and spoke to agent Mary. She said the technician had submitted a recommendation but not a request and the process had to begin again. I was furious. It was now one week into November and I am still paying for laundromat services to have clean clothes WHILE making payments to Lowes for the non working washer. Ultimately, I called from another phone to the tech on speaker (his number was on his business card) while agent Mary was on the other phone on speaker and insisted they speak to each other. The tech said he had done everything he was supposed to do and was tired of people dragging him back into the situation. He hung up on me (the tech) and Mary the agent was very apologetic but had no recourse besides starting over with the replacement appeal. The next day, the technician called my husband and said he could come that very day and replace the cord. (Funny how when people are forced to communicate in front of the customer, miracles happen.)My husband allowed him to come. He replaced the top selection panel, the front panel and the power cord. He said if the washer stops working now we will have to get it replaced because there is nothing left to repair. That was November 7th. One week later, the washer is functioning properly and I am still catching up on my wash. This took from September 12 to Nov 7th --FIFTY SIX DAYS (almost two full months, and nearly twice as long as we owned the washer before it stopped working), four technician visits, three parts replaced, out of pocket cost for an electrician to test our power (though we knew that was not the issue) and at LEAST 12 CALLS to LG to resolve.I have been a home owner since 1991. NEVER EVER in my life have I experienced more frustration in dealing with customer service. After the second unsuccessful attempt to repair an BRAND NEW washing machine we should have been offered a hassle free replacement. LG not only sells a product they cant repair, they have no willingness to make things right with their customers. I will tell everyone I know about this experience and discourage them from purchasing any product LG makes. I will never even CONSIDER their products in the future. Lifes Good ?? Not for LG customers.

Weve had this LG refrigerator for the best part of 5 years and it is still going strong. There is minor rusting at the bottom part but that is probably our fault. The freezer also started to form ice which we do not like one bit but we consider it a minor thing. It has not broken down so were kind of happy with that. The light indicator became an issue back then as it was not working as it should have, but we made a minor tweak in the wiring so that its back up running good again. I wouldnt say we are particularly careful with our appliances but this fridge has managed to make it through up to this day which is very much fine. It looks like we did not make a mistake in choosing an LG product. I expect it to last another decade or so, which is how it should be with stuff like this. If it does, I will write an update on this review ten years from now and will give a 5-star rating.

We believed LGs advertisements and trusted that they would stand behind their product. The expensive French Door Refrigerator/Freezer (LFCS31626S) has given us nothing but trouble. LG has sent repair technicians several times who have gone so far as to replace the control board (twice) and the compressor complete with solder smoke wafting through our air during a 2-4 hour repair job. Still, in spite of being set at 36 degrees F, the temperature cycles from 45 degrees F to an unsafe 60 degrees F. The last technician who worked on the thing told us that he did all he could, and, within a week, we had the same problem all over again (we called that technician for help but he no longer answered our calls). Meanwhile, weve lost tons of food and have to shuffle things into a standing freezer for salvage. This has been going on for about a year. Rather than do the right thing and replace the unit with a new, good one, LG now wants us to break COVID-19 isolation for yet another failed repair attempt. Most recently, we were handed over the Executive Team where a member picked-up and held the phone line open for over 2 hrs before hanging up without once responding to our repeated pleas that he/she speak. We are beyond frustrated. In fact, we are feeling betrayed. Please help!

I purchased a LG French Door Refrigerator through Costco in December of 2015. The refrigerator completely stopped working, it has a completely closed system so very hard to see anything. Called for help on March 11th, 2017, 15 months after purchase and still in two year warranty period. After much BS they finally agreed I was still under warranty and sent out a service request. I live in a county of 500,000 people. They had ONE service person for this entire area. That person called late that night to say they were not doing this anymore, could I call LG? I did, I am now waiting for someone from out of this area to come work on Refrig. Its been 5 days, no call. Will call Costco tomorrow and see what happens next. LG clearly has NO interest in caring for its products if they have ZERO technicians in a community of 500,000 people. DONT PURCHASE LG!!!

I bought a LG front loader set from Sears when I moved into my new home in 2010 and Ive had nothing but problems with the washer from the beginning. Im thankful that the salesman suggested the extended warranty on the washer as I couldnt afford both. Ive had 7 calls on cups not emptying a new main board a new drawer and clothes needing extra spins because they are still too wet for the dryer (the repair man said I needed to do full loads in order for the machine to spin out right? Yesterday it completely stopped during a wash so now I have to haul a load of wet towels to the laundromat. I now have to wait a week for a part to come in. I was so excited to get this set but I hate it and will never buy any more LG products and I make sure everyone I know that is in the market hears about these machines.

We purchased our LG French door refrigerator in September 2007. We thought it was a wise purchase but after 6 1/2 years we have found out its not. The refrigerator part of the unit was getting warm so we called for service, we only had to wait 2 days for the service man to arrive, okay not bad. I guess they are busy, and after reading the reviews here I guess they are. Anyway the service man told me it looks like the control board is bad and it would cost $300.00 to fix it. He recommended that we kick the fridge to the curb and buy a new one, he told me that the compressor would only last between 7-9 years and since we are so close to that time it would not pay to repair it. I really appreciate his honesty but I dont think I will buy another LG refrigerator, I dont think that spending $200.00 a year is worth it on a LG.

I purchased my LG side-by-side refrigerator from Best Buy in October 2016.
I purchased my LG side-by-side refrigerator from Best Buy in October 2016. Initially I was very pleased with the unit, no problems until late June 2018. The temperature dropped significantly and the freezer no longer kept food frozen. I was informed after placing a service call that the compressor ceased to work and other updates were needed to the refrigerator. One year later in July 2019 the freezer and refrigerator are again working insufficiently. I have lost a ridiculous amount of food in both the freezer and refrigerator. I am again using a cooler, buying ice frequently. I contacted the LG customer service department this past Sunday July 21, 2019 to inform staff of a malfunctioning refrigerator and to complain that this was the second incident in three years. I was given an appointment for July 25, 2019. My husband took the day off of work in order to receive the repairman. After no one showed, my husband contacted LG customer service department and was informed that the appointment had been canceled. We did not cancel the appointment. LG customer service informed us after some time that A& E Factory Service, their contractor, canceled the appointment and did not inform LG nor did they inform us of the cancellation. Eventually my husband was given an appointment for August 5th 2019, two-weeks from the originally scheduled appointment. He explained the challenges in retaining food, money lost, and that we have a five year old daughter who had clumpy milk that had to be discarded... the next available appointment was moved to August 1, 2019. I phoned yesterday, July 25, 2019 explained the above and inquired about the earliest available appointment. After being on the phone for twenty minutes I was informed that the earliest possible appointment is still August 1, 2019 however it is not confirmed, therefore I do not have a concrete appointment as of yet. I was told that someone will call us to confirm the actual August 1, 2019 appointment next week. I am very disappointed. I am very dissatisfied. I will not purchase another LG refrigerator again.Jacqueline **

I purchased an LG Refrigerator two years with dismal results. The ice maker on the French doors broke, even though I only actually used it for 8 months. I applied to the company for assistance. I complied with all their requests for information, but they never got back to me. Finally after several weeks and many calls, they said they would not help because I purchased a floor model. There are two lessons here - The LG refrigerators are poor performers and the companys warranty is worthless.

We purchased LG appliances in October 2008 - a beautiful side-by-side fridge, a 5-burner gas range, microwave/hood, and dishwasher to the tune of almost $5,000. We have had nothing but problems with the dishwasher since day 1. LG replaced it once, then replaced the heating coils and then stopped responding to our requests for help. I loved my range. That is until the knobs started falling off and we would smell gas. The range was not even a year old. LG sent someone out to look at it, who told me the burners turned on okay and there was nothing they could do. I contacted LG, explained that the gas would turn on from just brushing by the range and we would not know it until we smelled gas. They agreed to send replacement knobs. I noted that, in the subsequent model, the stems and knobs had been redesigned. I assume because this was a universal problem.I continued to complain about the safety; however, once I explained that there was no safety issue if the knobs were replaced, LG agreed to continue to send me new knobs whenever needed. Since that time, I have called about once a year for a new set. I contacted them today and after over an hour of arguing, was disconnected after being told the stove is out of warranty and they will no longer replace the knobs. I explained that I paid $1,500 for this range and the complaint/concerns were raised during the warranty period. I actually had to take pictures of the online chat with my cell phone after I was disconnected. At this point, I am contemplating a class action suit primarily due to the safety concerns related to having the gas on without the burner. I refuse to pay $350 for a new set of knobs every year. As an aside, I have noted that LG has stopped making ranges.

We bought our 4 door LG refrigerator in 2015 when we remodeled our home. It is by far the worst appliance purchase we have ever made. Weve had the compressor fail and replaced early on, then the ice maker was replaced, then one of the glass doors cracked, and now the compressor has failed again. In both cases when the compressors failed, we have had to throw away the entire fridge full of food, which is very expensive for us. I understand that the technology in newer refrigerators may be more sensitive, and life expectancy may be less than what they used to be, but this has been an inexcusable experience with a very expensive appliance.

Purchased the LG 5 element double oven slide-in range in late June, 2019 along with an LG dishwasher. In September, while using multiple elements, the range must have overheated because it shut off and flashed an error notice that I had to dig deep on the web/blogs to figure out what it was...Best I could come up with was motherboard failure. I cut power from the circuit and the next day and since, no problem with the error. THAT is not the issue right now. Lets start with the cooktop. I am OCD with cleaning the top. It even gets a wipe down when it hasnt been used. There are white marks on 3/5 of the elements. The previous range, which was 15 plus years old did not have these marks and that cooktop took a beating.I get things that are used cannot look showroom new, but 8 months of not daily use and it looks older than the previous range...which is very frustrating. Now lets move to the ovens. This model has the bright blue enamel interior. The easy clean function does NOTHING at all. Spills and drips happen and the easy clean was one of the reasons I selected the LG model. Ok, so I just gently wiped the minor spills and drips with a wet rag when the oven cooled and would do the self clean as needed. I wipe the glass on the oven doors regularly and honestly have no clue how there are drips in between the glass on both top and bottom. You cant see it unless the door is open or the light is on but they are there and shouldnt be unless there is a problem with the door/glass seals..NOW, today I ran the self clean cycle for the first time since purchasing this unit. I am absolutely livid!! The cycle ran for four hours and then it took some more time to cool so I could wipe the accumulated ash from all of the cleaned spatter and drips that I couldnt wipe out. Both top and bottom ovens look ruined. The grime just cooked into the finish! While wiping with the damp towel, it was shiny and looked clean. As it dried, it looked like bacon cooled bacon grease. I wiped again with another towel and dried with a microfiber cloth...still there and will NOT go back to the shiny finish and seriously looks like coagulated bacon grease. This range was not cheap but is manufactured extremely cheaply. I am sick to my stomach with my decision to buy this unit as opposed to one that was more readily available. The dishwasher I have no problem with so far but this range is absolute JUNK! I looked at many reviews prior to purchase but I wish I had looked at this site before purchasing this unit because this would have tipped me into the cons...dont buy column. Do not purchase an LG range!

Brought a LG dryer DLEX3370W on 04/22/2017. Worked fine until 08/21/2017, called Lowes since I also purchased the extended warranty, Lowes stated that it was still under manufacture warranty and my troubles began. LG did not send a repair guy until 9/11/2017, he diagnosed as needed the heating element. He ordered the part, came back out on 09/18/2017, replaced the entire heating unit (assemble, thermo and element). The tech called service since it didnt work. At first they went through the diagnosis system still not working, he had to call different times. At one point they said it was my electricity not working correctly lol.The house is only 8 years old but he tested it no problem there. 4th call to them he tested the something in the back. It started to work so thinking it was resolved the tech put all back together again and left. Washed some clothes and here we are again DRYER NOT HEATING, called LG back and they are telling me the tech has to come out again. SMH. Called Lowes. They are putting it on them, and LG simply just do not care that their product is crap, they have poor customer service, so here I sit with a 700 dryer that does not work waiting for the tech to come back out. $3,000 5-yr.-old top of the line LG refrigerator still not fixed after 5 weeks! Horrible customer service! LG has not been able to repair it in 5 weeks with 6 visits from repairman. BTW: ONLY PARTS are covered by LG warranty, not labor. If your LG fridge breaks the day after you buy it, YOU pay for labor, and each call involves a minimum of two visits by repairman - one to look at it so he can order parts (they keep nothing in stock) and at least one return to try to fix it.The repairman suggested on his FIRST visit that we BUY A NEW REFRIGERATOR, before he even ordered the new compressor. They do not want to honor warranty. They want you to give up and buy a new appliance! He actually said refrigerators do not last more than 5 years! My son in law has spent hours on the phone (mostly on hold) trying to arrange repairs, been transferred to departments that are closed, been told to call back tomorrow (when departments are closed), and been told that the earliest available repair appointment was 4 weeks away! He has been hung up on. He has been told that they cannot access his records and that the only department that can access his records is not open today (Friday). The repairman suggested more than once that we buy a new refrigerator instead of requiring LG to honor their warranty. Who spends $3,000 on a fridge they expect to last only 5 years?

In July 2017 we bought an LG electric/convection double oven stove. Almost as soon as we installed the appliance our first incident with the stove happened. I barely brushed the stove knob and the burner turned on. My husband happened to have his hand on the burner and he felt the heat. That should have been our first warning. Jumped forward to December 27, 2017 @ 6:29 pm. Shortly after my husband had heated up his dinner in the microwave, which is above the stove, I smelled something like plastic burning. I said to my husband I bet you bumped a knob on the stove. He proceeded to the kitchen and when he opened up the door flames and smoke billowed into our living room. Between the two of us we contained the fire and help was on the way.My review regarding this stove cannot be put in stars because they don’t have a negative value. As far as cooking on the stove we had no issues. I loved the double oven. But from our first experience shortly after installation to the night our house caught fire, the knobs were a concern. We have grandchildren who use the microwave... I shudder with the thoughts of what could have happened to them. There were no push then turn knobs, which is a common safety on most stoves, Or the knobs could have been on the back of the stove like some stoves. Now we are facing a total remodel on the kitchen, new cabinets, multiple appliances... etc.Yes, we have insurance but that’s not the issue. This fire could have been prevented if the knobs had a safety feature. I feel for the individuals who have the gas stove. I understand their concern. Gas leak vs fire makes for a bad day. With as many reviews I have read regarding this particular problem, LG should have a recall on this model stoves. Look into rectifying the situation so this does not happen to someone else and turn their world upside down. So as far as LG products are concerned, I’m boycotting them. We even have several other household products but when the stop working, no more LG products in my house. LG needs to step up their quality control on the designs of their kitchen appliances. You should never live in fear of ACCIDENTALLY turning on an appliance.

We bought a new LG Top Load Washer and it started to leak water from the bottom. I called LG because it was under the manufacture warranty. We have had the repair people out 5x already and each time they have failed to fix the issue. I have called LG several times to explain that is has been a MONTH with no washer and that I have an immuno-compromised child that needs clean clothes. I cannot bring the clothes somewhere to do them because they could become contaminated and make my child sick. LG customer service has not been any help in resolving the issue. They continue to say that they will send the repair people out again and will not replace the machine. If the repair people could not fix it in 5 tries and a month later, then LG needs to replace the lemon of a washer they manufactured. I have a sick child and they have no consideration for that. I called Home Depot where I bought the machine and an extended warranty, but they cannot do anything because they have to wait until the manufacturers warranty runs out! I will never buy any LG products again!

My husband bought this horrible piece of crap without me. We had it a couple of months when it started to fail. Getting stuck on spin cycle and the clothes were SOAKED. Tech came in and said we have to put it on BULK (never had this problem with other machines). So, he cleared it, and worked on the drain motor. A couple months later (while using bulk setting), the machine did the same thing. In the year and a half since we bought it, it had done this about 25 times. Second time we had a tech come out... tried to tell us the same thing. This item is faulty. Just found out a friend with a front load LG is having the same issue. Never buying an LG again.

Our washer/dryer set (WM2016) was purchased from Sears about 4 years ago. My wife has always complained about the stench in the tub. Then last week, she was complaining about a smell (different). The next night, I came home from work and she said it was smelling again. When I got to the laundry room, the smoke alarm started sounding and I could not see the washer. After getting in and shutting it off, the drum was on fire which was quickly extinguished. I pulled the washer out and unplugged it. At that point, I needed to remove the top to make sure the fire was out, which it was. The next morning, I took the machine apart to see what happened to our 4-year-old washer. It seems that LG made a part inside of the plastic drum that is made from aluminum that was not treated by any means. It corroded, causing the drum to contact the outer drum. Had we not been home, we could have lost everything. I will not purchase anything LG produces from here out. When contacted, they could care less as we have your money!

We bought a new front load LG washer from Home Depot in December 2015. It leaked from day 1 from the bottom of the door dripping down the washer to puddle on the floor. 5 months later we are still dealing with the issue. We have had 4 service calls with replacement of the seal, the door, and tightening the hinges. It still leaks and the foreign speaking folks in customer service just create another service ticket with a new company so they keep stringing us along inconveniencing the homeowner with an all day stay at home, wait for the repairman day so when they leave, I still have a washer that leaks. This is my first LG product and will be my last. I hope everyone starts to wake up and find another company to purchase from because LG by far is the most despicable company to have to deal with. If I could I would give it a NEGATIVE 5 star review. Very dissatisfied doesnt describe my experience. They truly dont give a darn about the customer!

LG stainless steel 33 cubic feet model #LFX 33975ST/01 SN 211KRRE1Y726 double doors with freezer at the bottom. We purchased this lovely fridge for our new home.and purchased a warranty with it just in case we has some issues. We are in Texas it is still hot here or it was while waiting for repairs. Our fridge began making noises and finally just stopped. We requested service on it after waiting a couple of days and troubleshooting for solutions. In the midst of hoping it would start to work again, we lost EVERYTHING in it-steaks, chicken, dressings, everything!! We finally got a service company (Premiere) to come out-2 weeks later. Mind you its hot here in Texas so we have been living out of ice chest now for 3 weeks. They finally come out for repairs after 3 weeks and the compressor is out and the blower. Parts need to be ordered. More weeks of waiting and purchasing ice. They finally came out last week and installed the compressor and the blower. It took 4 hours!! Repairman left after being frustrated that it took so long for him to repair! We were told it would take up to 36 hours to be back to normal and temperature. 3 days passed and our refrigerator never made ice and was still warm!! We called back the repair company and we were told they closed out the claim and we were back in the line again for repairs!!This is horrible, horrible customer service! My family and I have been without a fridge for a month and still dont know now when it will be looked at again. We are starting from scratch. This is a 3000.00 refrigerator! Who in management is reading the customer complaints and who can help us?? We need a new refrigerator!! Everyone has been rude even Home Depot where it was purchased!Over a month without food and groceries and nowhere to put them. We lost over 450.00 of food if not more in our fridge and so many bags of ice. This is unacceptable and I plan to go as high as I can until someone calls to help us with this refrigerator issue. It is still under warranty!! This lovely on the outside not working on the inside fridge is horrible!I am adding these notes to Twitter, Facebook and all social media I can until someone helps us or at least contacts us. This has been a horrible experience!! If you are reading or concerned LG, please contact me. We have been told now it will be a while before someone will be out. Almost 2 months without a refrigerator! Frustrated, angry and disgusted with anything LG.

I bought an LG door in a door refrigerator February 2015. Within a few months the compressor broke. I called LG and they refused to fix it. After numerous calls and getting the credit card company involved, who rescinded my payment, they replaced the compressor. One month later, the compressor broke again. Mind you this is happening in the middle of summer. First they couldnt get the part then they couldnt get a technician. After a couple of months and $500.00 worth of lost food (which was never paid for), they replaced the compressor. Now, suddenly, the ice maker is not working. They are refusing to pay for it and it will cost me $371.00 to replace. I called LG Customer Service and there were lies galore... Like, We will check on this and call you in an hour, we will call you at the end of business, we will call you in 48 hours... All not true. This refrigerator is poor quality at a high price. It should have been removed and replaced with the first compressor breakdown. Additionally, I also bought an LG Washing Machine. All worked well until the washboard bolts that hold this piece at the bottom of the machine gave way and during a very fast spin, spun out of control, hit the washer cover, which opened and out flew the piece. They did fix this after a lot of screaming and yelling. I would not trust their products. There are many others on the market that are manufactured with quality in mind.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator from H.H.Gregg 3/14/2015, I paid 3,023.99. June 2015, the freezer broke froze up and all my frozen food defrosted. I called H.H Gregg, they said that since the refrigerator was not yet a year old, that I would have to deal with L.G. I called L.G. They sent someone out to repair the fridge, he had to thaw out the ice with a hair dryer, said that the fan motor was gone, he ordered a part took a week to get it. He then came back out, put the fan motor on. It worked until November 2015, I came home about 11 pm, water all over the floor, everything in my refrigerator and freezer melted or spoiled. I again called HH Gregg. Once again they told me to call L.G. I called them, told them it was broke again, they told me it would be 8 to 10 days for someone to come out.I tried to talk to these people, they sent me to a call center overseas, they said they would not replace the unit. I then called the executive center in Alabama, worst customer service ever. It is now three weeks later, 4 dates before thanksgiving, still no fridge. Finally a LG tech came out, said it needed a new computer, a new compressor, and that there were some more problems. 5 hours later he took photos and left. Said beyond repair. Next day he calls, said they were not going to replace it and that he had to try to fix it. I called L.G. back, they were horrible, said I didnt have a choice they were not replacing it. So now the tech has it back together. Said he hopes it works. I will never buy another LG product, I would discourage anyone from buying LG. The worst People to deal with!

We bought two new LG washing machines, one for our daughter and one for us
We bought two new LG washing machines, one for our daughter and one for us in 2010. Last year, after 6 years, our daughters LG washing machine broke down. This year, yesterday, our 7 year old LG washing machine broke down - in each case it was the motor - you could hear the defective motor. The motors are specifically labeled on the machines as being guaranteed for 10 years. We went out and bought a Samsung washing machine and dryer the same day as the breakdown, expecting the LG dryer at 7 years was not reliable either. Oh yes. There are only the two of us - retired man and wife - living in the house so the machines are not used that much. If we were a family with small kids, the washing machine doubtless would have broken down much sooner. I wonder if the executives running the LG operation are reading these consumer posts? They should. Word gets around.

I bought a (3 french door) refrig 4 yrs ago...and absolutely loved it. Bought another one (4 door) in July. One top door shuts & shakes the whole refrig. Delivery people said they cant level it (in my new house). They brought out another one...same thing. Other top door wont shut without physically making it happen...a push just doesnt work & door stays open. He said there is a break on the door that keeps it from shutting automatically. Not at all happy as my insulin got too warm & then it is no good after 28 days. At $500+ a vial...I hate this frig!!! Also bought an LG washer & dryer I loved years ago. This dryer - even with steam & wrinkle cycle leaves all my clothes a wrinkled mess. Have to either line dry or iron things I never had to before. Loved my old LG...HATE this one. Updated on 11/29/2021: LG kitchen appliance buyer please beware. Again, based on my experience, any potential buyer should do research on the dependability of the product and any posted customer experience comments before purchasing any LG kitchen appliance. I made a post 2 months ago on the unreliable refrigerator I purchased and the lack of customer service from LG. Shortly after that post I got action, but it has turned out to be just lip service. I have provided everything LG requested to get a prorated reimbursement for the refrigerator. I have been told on several occasions the reimbursement is approved and the check has been mailed. To this date, 11/29/21, I still have not received the check and I still have an unreliable LG refrigerator. The “promises” of me receiving a reimbursement, which come from as high up of the “liaison of the president”, apparently are meaningless. Bottom line is if you are planning to purchase kitchen appliances please, please consider my situation in order to avoid hours and hours of wasted time and frustration as well as money if you go with LG.Original Review: LG kitchen appliance buyer please beware. Based on my experience, any potential buyer should do research on the dependability of the product and the customer experience comments when something does not work like it should. We purchased the French door refrigerator in November 2019. We started having a problem with the freezer compartment getting too warm in April 2021. This is October 2, 2021 and the problem still exists. The customer service department scheduled repairs. Nine technicians from two different companies have worked on the refrigerator. Many components have been replaced including thermostats, rear cover panel and the mother board that controls everything. The problem revolves around the defrost cycle and the unit not being able to recover from defrosting. The compartment gets too warm, 41 degrees. The refrigerator compartment also gets to 41 degrees. Multiple times everything in the freezer has thawed and turned to liquid. Ice melts in the ice dispenser and runs on the floor. The issue has been escalated 4 times now. Three of those have been to the Defective Returns Department. They rejected the claim first due to “improper submission of the claim by their representative” and a second time because “the person handling the claim no longer works for the company”. I have emailed the President twice without a response even though his webpage says he will respond. My experience has been extremely poor and I still have a defective refrigerator. For $3,100 I expected a unit that would perform and last for a number of years. The company has no doubt spent near that amount of failed repair attempts. I’ve been told that my unit qualifies for either replacement or refund due to the number of repairs and due to the failure of the company to schedule repair within 14 days. This problem is a nightmare and has no resolution within sight. Life’s Not So Good with this kind of customer service and a company that does not stand behind its product. Buyer beware!

Purchased an LG front load wash machine July 2013. Unless the wash machine is running the door is left open. We are having terrible mold issues. I can clean the mold off of the rubber seal where it is visible but there is a lot of mold where the seal meets the drum and the rubber does not fold back. I have tried cleaning it with a toothbrush and bleach since my finger barely fits in the space but the smell is still horrible and there is no way to wipe the mold out of the small space. If I could I would have NO STAR - We’ve had nothing but bad luck with our LG appliances- first of all our dishwasher -the control panel went haywire 5 months after we got it- well that happened 2 more times since. When we built our home we also bought an LG gas range, refrigerator and microwave. So last year we went to Alaska and when we came home in August the stove control panel also had gone haywire. You cannot properly read the numbers that tell you the temperature/time so when you set the temperature you have no idea what youre setting it to. Called LG and after hours on the phone with them to get it repaired they did NOTHING. Our cost to find out by the repairman (we paid for) that to fix it we would spend more than what a new oven would cost. It is barely over a year old and possibly failed prior to being a year old! 2 days ago we woke up to our LG French door refrigerator inside as warm as our room temperature and everything inside ruined. It is just barely 2 years old! Called LG for repairs- ended up having to get our own repair guy, and it has a bad compressor, won’t read codes, and needs a new control board. The repairman said it’s an extensive repair and could possibly fail again easily (read class action law suit on them). Called LG back and now we have to wait to hear from Service Power to see if anyone can fix it. They offered NOTHING for the loss of food but would send us up to $200 for a mini fridge- and he’d send us an email for doing so- still waiting for that. These appliances cost thousands of dollars! Buyer Beware!!! They are junk!

I was hesitant on purchasing another LG Range because 6 years ago I filed a lawsuit against them for advertising their specific electric range as a true convection with sabbath mode when in fact it was not. We won the lawsuit due to LG falsely advertising their product. This leads up to yesterday when I decided to give them a try again. Figuring they learned their lesson, I purchased their LRE3194BS. They (LG) claims on their website as well as on every website that sells this range (Best Buy is where I purchased) that it is in fact a True convection (3rd heating element behind the fan). After it was delivered yesterday I opened up the owners manual and it stating it is NOT a true convection. When I called LG customer service to find out exactly what was going on and to ask what the difference was with their True Convection & their new Pro Bake Convection, the representatives could not tell me the difference. They then connected me to the corporate USA office in Alabama where a representative answered the phone. I explained not only my concern but also brought up the lawsuit 6 yrs prior and she stated this unit was NOT true convection. I asked about their webpage and the info they provide to retailers and she simply stated she has no idea who is responsible for putting correct and valid info online. I said this is just like years ago and youre falsely advertising your ranges again. She then Hung Up on me. Hopefully another attorney will pick up a new case against them.

We purchased an LG Fridge for our condo in 2007. We had a problem with it in September 2014. Because it is at our condo out of town there is no LG repair staff anywhere near. The local repair companies are not allowed to purchase parts and in spite of it being off warranty my own attempts to purchase the parts myself were denied. My only option was bring it into the city to have it repaired. I ended up buying a brand new fridge that was definitely not LG but was a brand that is locally serviced. Based on this poor service experience I would highly recommend against ever making any type of LG purchases.

May 2018... My almost 2 year LG French door in black stainless steel stopped cooling. Find out because there was water all over the floor from the ice melting. Lost all my food from fridge and freezer. LG replaced the compressor which lasted 4 days and went out again so of course I lost more food. Had another technician come out and took apart the inside of the refrigerator and found there was a leak. He ordered the new part and LG contacted him and told him it wouldnt be in until the end of July. LG gave me option that they would pay for the remainder value of the refrigerator and deduct the years of use or I would have to keep waiting for the part. I opted to wait for the part because they were only offering me a couple hundred dollars for an almost $3,000 refrigerator. The technician knows that this is an ongoing problem that he has dealt with with many customers around MN. I finally have my refrigerator working as of July 14... Thats 2 months without. Now my worry is for how long??? Another issue is the black stainless steel finish is peeling off of the whole set (microwave, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator). Tiny pieces are coming off in different areas. I dont know how they can get away with this???

My LG Electric Range with convection option malfunctioned and caught fire today, Christmas Day 2011. Its model LRE30755 ST/01 and manufactured in June 2007. A wire between the main compartment of the oven and the lower warming drawer compartment (inside the oven) arced and the heat melted a hole in the metal at the bottom of the oven. Essentially, the metal was on fire.Fortunately, the house did not burn down. The oven sort of shut itself off, and it did not trip the circuit breaker. It is out of warranty. Ill be calling the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the PA State Attorneys office in an attempt to get this product recalled. It is dangerous.

A few months ago I purchased an LG dryer model DLE1101W with automatic sensors. However, every time I start a sensing cycle it stops after few minutes. I use mainly small loads. When I called the company they said it is because in small loads the sensor is not being able to detect and therefore shuts down the cycle. When I purchased the unit nowhere did it say that the sensing happens only when using big loads or else I would not have paid more for unit with sensing capability.

I liked the pricing as well as the features that this refrigerator had to offer. And it fit conveniently in the space provided. I liked the fact that it had an automatice ice maker along with purified water. I liked the freezer space and also space for the vegetables and fruits as well as the meats. There were no features that I disliked about this refrigerator other than it didnt process ice quick enough for me and especially when I had company over for outings.

I have the smell issues with my LG front-loading washer and Im sure, after seeing the pictures from another case, I will be dismantling my machine this weekend (with pictures inside and out including the moldy drawer that is supposed to clean my clothing) to get rid of black mold that is most definitely making my family and me sick. I will be using extreme care to sanitize the unit and my home from this negligent company that cares nothing for its grievous mistakes that so many have had to endure. Shame on you, LG for being so big and creating a problem you clearly knew about and do nothing for the customers who made you who you are! I hope that some lawyer who owns one will see this forum and take you on. Ill be glad to display my findings with 1080p HQ video and 18 gig pictures with a bag full of what I find growing in my $2,000 fungus-growing washer that you built. P.S. I forgot to mention the fact that I have to flip the breaker each and every time I wash a load of clothes for my washer to power up! Thanks for nothing, grrr!

We are joining the rest of duped LG purchasers. We purchased a French Door refrigerator LFX28968SB in 2015 and on 9-19-18 we had to throw food out and are now using a cooler with ice to keep essentials. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. We contacted the store where we bought it and a service tech came out on 9/20/18 and said there was nothing he could do. It ** the bed. I called customer service (which the rep was rude) and she stated we needed to have a certified LG tech look at it and they need to submit the repair request. She gave the one, which there seemed not to be more than 1 in RI. Contacted Certified Service Co. and they seemed to be having issues with doing work on LG and said I would have to have parts sent to me if they were under warranty. I agreed. Now after reading all the reviews Im cancelling the service call and going to buy new refrigerator and it will not be a LG for sure. I think a lawsuit against this company needs to be revisited. There are way too many lemons out there and they were not cheap. Not to mention the loss of food and tons of aggravation!

My three-year-old LG front loader washer (WM2301HR) started making grinding
My three-year-old LG front loader washer (WM2301HR) started making grinding noises as it slowly stopped tumbling and spinning. After pulling the back panel off, I discovered the splines in the rotor were worn smooth. This is a warranty part - 10 years. LG will only provide the part if I call an authorized LG tech to my house. $100 to show up, plus $60 per hour to replace a $70 part. Are you kidding LG? Never again. Never again.

I bought my French door LG refrigerator in Jan 2018. Now - in March 2018 it is no longer cooling. I bought the extended warranty through Lowes. They sent a tech to assess the problem. Compressor needs replacing. After only 14 months of use! Yes the extended warranty (that I paid $269 for) covers the expense of fixing it - but the tech had to order the parts so am still without fridge until those parts come in and he can get back here to fix it. Am very disappointed in LG! Won’t buy this brand again. Am concerned to be thinking I may have to replace the compressor on a yearly basis.

It is not my overall first choice and I prefer other brands over it. I have not owned an LG in a long time. It met my initial expectations but I was not overly impressed or surprised but how well it performed, etc. It was very large and made of stainless steel and had wired shelving inside with different compartments for veggies and fruit and an attached freezer on top. I did not like the wired shelving units and the handles on both the top and bottom were easily unattachable which made opening and closing it difficult. I also did not like the color but that is more for aesthetic purposes.

We paid top dollar (over $3000) for an LG Linear refrigerator in June, 2015. In March, 2018, it began making strange clicking noises so we got online and followed some tutorials about how to fix it. Nothing worked. We had a repairman come and he had to replace the control board and fan, at a cost to us of about $600. Now here we are in October, 2019 and it’s doing the exact same thing. We are looking at having to replace both exact same things, only this time it will cost $690. We could have bought a new refrigerator for what we’ve spent on repairs in the past four years. I will never buy another LG product. Maybe the company will see this and offer some compensation, but I doubt it. It’s infuriating!

Bought a $3,000 refrigerator not even 4 years ago and I have to replace it--needs new control board and other parts and repair company told me it isnt worth it. That is after I had to put in another part about 2 months ago because the ice maker was leaking. Also had a repair because something was wrong with the seal--that one it was still under warranty. The first repairman told me LG is the worst--looks good with decent price, but bad machine and worse service. According to him every part is always on back order and you have to wait 30 days. Will never buy again.

COMPRESSOR FAIL - MANUFACTURING DEFECT. I bought an overpriced LG refrigerator ($2500) in June, 2017 at Home Depot. It was broken by JULY 2019. Tough luck for me with no income and late stage cancer...it broke two weeks after the two year warranty expired. The part might be replaced by LG, but I am stuck with the cost and trouble of trying to find a knowledgeable technician. In my area (Raleigh) NO technician familiar with LG will work on them anymore because of these manufacturer defects! The LG rep set up an appointment with a technician - I had to wait over a week, AND they failed to show. I want to join the lawsuit. I get $12/week food stamps and lost all my carefully preserved and frozen food. There is NO WAY I can afford to pay a service tech for this and expected failures of other parts in the future. Watch LG’s “canned” response. They will do nothing.

French door, bottom freezer. Freezer space very good & easy to use with drawer providing better access. Door for milk and other items reduces times opening refrigerator. Would prefer two larger veggie drawers instead of three. Has larger meat drawer at bottom which allows for many shaped items. Just check local area for repair centers just in case something may need to be repaired for any brand appliance purchased.

We purchased an LG refrigerator (Model #LDN20718SW/02) in January 2012. We have replaced the bottom shelf twice now. The second time it broke again within the first week. We have an extended warranty which would not cover replacement if broken within 3 months. We now have a shelf that is also broke that is not covered by the warranty. We do not have children living at home and are not hard on appliances. The plastic in this fridge is very brittle and does not stand up to normal everyday use. LG does not allow purchase of parts, even through an appliance repair, so you can replace these parts yourself. In Canada you must pay a service person to come out to replace these parts!!

I bought the whole LG kitchen appliances set for my $20000 new remodeled kitchen 11/2018. By 9/2019, 10 months later, my stovetop looked white from decoloration. I called, they send someone and at 10 months, they called it wear and tear, say WHAT?. My last stove last me 12 yrs and still had a perfect black top. Under warranty, they did not change it. So I ended with a brand new kitchen and all discolored new stove. On 03/2020, 16 months from purchased, the double top burner stopped working and now I am going to have to pay for the repair of the burner, either keep my cooktop all whitish or replace it on 18 months $800 new!!!! LG range. I might just have to kicked it to the curb, count my losses, cry a little and buy AMERICAN. Customer services just keep saying I didnt buy the 5 year warranty. Im very disappointed and I see no end to this.
