For the second time in less than 2 years, my LG french door refrigerator has MAJOR issues. Im not counting the other service calls on this hunk of junk - just the one that two weeks to fix before (bad motherboard) and the one now which is a sealed system (or unsealed in our case). LG is SO UNHELPFUL it isnt even funny. Ive bought a lot of refrigerators over the years, and never, ever, ever have I had these kind of problems. And, if LG actually stood behind their product, I wouldnt be this angry. But they couldnt care less. They read the little scripted message to you over and over again, that when they receive the technician report theyll see what they can do, etc. Probably the same thing as they did the last time, which was absolutely NOTHING! When youve made a purchase of close to $3,000, youd like the thing to work for more than a year without a problem!!! Do yourself a favor, and NEVER BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR UNLESS YOU LIKE HAVING YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE SHOOT OFF THE CHARTS!!!

I purchased an LG washer and dryer at Sears in Overland Park, KS. I have had service out twice complaining about dirty, dingy clothes and a loud banging sound when the washer is filling with water. Both times, I was told to use a high efficiency detergent and 1-2 tablespoons of detergent. I have complied. My clothes are still dirty and dingy. We have taken to soaking the whites in the sink in a Clorox solution to bring them back. I feel as though I might as well get a washboard out and do the laundry by hand.I replaced my upright washer, which was doing a fine job, so that I could have a quiet washer. The noise is louder and the clothes are embarrassingly dirty to the point where I cannot wear them.Nothing has changed in our laundry, same clothes, same people and same amount of wear. We do not perform any manual labor that would create unusually dirty clothes. My husband uses his washables to lie on the couch and watch television. I am a homemaker who hires out all of the dirty work. We both do workout, regularly. In theory, we are a washing machines dream customers.I hired a plumber to deal with the loud bang in the pipes and he told me it was the solenoid. Today, the solenoids were replaced and there is no change in the loud banging in the pipes. If anyone in the house is asleep, the washer cannot be operated because of the very loud bangs.

I purchased glass top electric range, French door refrigerator, dishwasher, & microwave about 7 years ago. I’ve already had all 3 major appliance serviced. Dishwasher 6mos after purchase, frig 3 yrs, range 6 mod ago flashed F9 no heat in oven. Now 2 LG elements on stove, sometimes heat up, sometimes not. Usually if I put them on high the will go on, but can’t regulate them. I’ve always owned GE appliances and never replaced bc they no longer worked. They’d been out dated. This will be my 2nd repair for a couple hundred $$ within 6mos on a 7yr old stove. Also NO ONE wants to service LG. At least in my area. Appliances look great but not dependable.

The above is a repair order number. The rating is NOT for the LG technician that repaired my LG refrigerator. The rating is because this is the second time my compressor has gone out. Exactly a year from the replacement, it broke down again. I am very dissatisfied with the compressor and LG.

Absolutely disappointed with this stove. We bought it because of the good review. It have nice features, but it is always defective. We had the technician four times during the warranty period. Now the warranty is over, and still need him on a regular basis. Every appointment is scheduled weeks later, which is very annoying. (imagine 2 weeks without oven). Among the CON of this oven- Automatic cleaning burn the fuse, every time... unless you move the oven 3 feet from the wall, suggested by their own technician (Gee, we are in 2019!!!). The induction burners have an intricate inside panel, when one is defective 2 or 3 stop. They were supposed to be independent. Every time you open the panel, one of the button break. And most of all, the service is horrible, from the long waiting time on the phone, to the unacceptable delay for the technician visit, to the technician fees... And ability. Please do yourself a favor, choose another one.

Bought an LG French door model LFX25973ST/00 refrigerator from Sears. Right after its out of warranty we were getting water on the floor from the left-side door each time we opened the door. I replaced the door ice-maker parts (all of them) and the gaskets. I also balanced the doors again (only slightly out of balance). More water. Called LG and they told me to replace the gaskets and balance the door. Um, that didnt work. Try calling a repair service. I called a few appliance repair places and only one still works on LG products. He stated that LG sucks. He recommended replacing the gaskets which I already did. He said, you just have to live with it or get a new refrigerator. LG = Life is Good?? More like LG = Lame Grifters. Well, Im trying gaskets one more time before I take this out and use it for target practice.

I bought a fridge 1 year ago and it has been repaired 3 times for the same reason. I contacted LG and each time, it was fixed. Obviously, its a bad fridge. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and they told me that after 3 events for the same reason, it should be replaced. I contacted LG, they told me that that’s not the case, that it is up to the technician to tell LG that it cant be fixed. What? Dont buy LG. Customer service sucks and they will do nothing except to keep passing you on to someone else and tell you sad, sorry with no action.

I received an LG front load washer at 12 noon today. I did the first load which spewed soapy water on the floor. I did subsequent small loads with no overflow. The dispensers retain clear water after cycle completed. I contacted LG to question why the water remains in the dispensers and why the overflow. I was informed that I used too much soap which caused the overflow. This is my second LG, and I am no dummy. I know how to fill the soap dispenser to the normal or max levels using HE products. The response from LG is We only recommend 2 tbs for a big load. I measured the amount of liquid to fill to the normal mark which is 5 tbs and to the max level which is 7 tbs.I explained this to the LG rep and the response was, We have already sent this numerous times to the designers. WHAT??? They know about the problem, continue to produce the product using the same improper guides in the manual and intuitively, the consumer follows the dispenser level marks and provide no ALERT to consumer!!! Of course, I still needed to know about the clear water remaining in the dispensers. That is normal. The dispenser dispenses by overfilling the drawer, that is shy there is water remaining at the end. Of course! We all want stagnated water to sit in the drawer possibly turning moldy and smelly to be dispensed into the next load of wash! I am absolutely incredulous! How can a manufacturer possibly continue to produce and sell such a subpar product? I was pleased with my last LG that performed well for 6 years and recently started to overflow and would not pump the water adequately out of the washer. Not wanting to put money into repairs, I foolishly elected to purchase a new and improved LG washer. What kind of fool am I?

I should have known better than to purchase a refrigerator from Sears because of past experiences. On two prior occasions, (two different refrigerators) we had Sears technicians tell us that our units could not be repaired. So, in one case we purchased a new one from Sears but kept the old one. The old one was still running (5 years later), but the new one stopped cooling completely about three years ago. This time, we decided to live with the two partially operational units. The newer one has now stopped working, so we mistakenly purchased a new LG model from Sears, on Friday of September 2. Sears promised a delivery (for an extra $10) on Saturday of September 3. When we had not heard from sears by 4:30 on Saturday, I called their installation services. I was told that the item was not in stock--great. It was the Saturday before Labor Day, with food spoiling because the refrigerator was full of food.Ok, now I wanted to complain to someone at Sears, so I called their customer service (disservice?). After getting the runaround and being redirected to three other numbers (with 10 minute delays before connections), I found someone who could help. This helpful person told me that the unit was in-stock, but they were waiting for American Express approval for my purchase. I let them know that American Express has never (since 1964) delayed approval of my purchases and that I felt they were lying. I was told to call American Express. I told her that I wanted to speak to someone who actually knew what was going on, and the line went dead. I did call American Express; I was told that the purchase had been approved on Friday, so Sears customer service has more than one liar on their staff. Judging from all the other complaints about Sears, I wonder why there has not been more publicity to protect the public from this deceitful company, so much for customer service.

We purchased an LG Gas Range in November of 2012. Starting in May of 2015, the oven racks started becoming a struggle to slide them in and out of the oven. We noticed that the blue enamel was gone on the tracks where the oven racks slide in and out. We have contacted LG and they keep giving us the run around. We even sent pictures where it was evident that the enamel was gone and you could clearly see the metal. They responded with the following email, Sir: This is with regard to the request of range racks for model#LRG3095st. The unit was purchased 11/15/2012 which is over a year and not qualified for us to send you the racks for free. This racks can be ordered with our Parts Distributor, MCM ELECTRONICS phone# 800-824-9491. Also, regarding the pictures that you sent to us which have stains on the blue enamel, these were caused by liquids, sauces, grease, and other foods spilled or splattered inside the oven which is cosmetic issue, therefore not covered. So, all they ever wanted to do was have us order our own racks and state that these were stained by grease, liquids, etc. Obviously, he did not look at the picture and it appears he is stating that these things will eat the enamel off of the inside of the stove to where the metal is exposed... LG has a problem and is not wanting to take care of any problem pertaining to their product. Their customer service representative told me that it was out of warranty and that it is not covered. So basically, the enamel in the LG oven that costs around $1,000 is only meant to last 2 to 3 years. DONT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

Firstly, the first refrigerator that I received in September, 2018 did not work at all. The Brick replaced it with the floor model until they could order me a new one. Initially, the whole scenario was a nightmare for me. It is all good now except for the fact that the stainless steel is always streaky, no matter what I use or do. It is very frustrating. I have tried almost everything, including the wipes, vinegar & water and just water and cloths. If anyone has any ideas, help! I am thinking it may be a poor grade of stainless steel. I am disappointed with the finish on the stainless steel.

Lg tends to make really good electronics. I like that the lg refrigerator is really good and high quality and they tend to last a relatively long period of time and i never really had a problem with them. I like that the smart black lg refrigerators tend to have a lot of room in the freezer section. I tend to always like that lg has a large main design. But they often tend to charge alot for their refrigerators and also they charge alot for there ovens, and they charge alot for there cellphones. It also causes a higher energy bill. Its sometimes hard to bring it into the house. But thats fine. At the end of the year i do intend to buy one more refrigerator. It is make alot better than other companies.

Purchased the largest 110v LG Window Air Conditioner at Home Depot on January 9th 2013. On May 26th the Unit started freezing up. Contacted LG, it took 16 days to get a technician out to diagnose, then 4 days to wait for a new Condenser. 2 weeks later the unit froze up again. Called LG whom sent out the same Technician the next day and he stated it was low on refrigerant. This is a sealed unit that was ice cold on the day of the first repair, but he stated it was not fully charged, so he charged it. Three weeks later the unit froze again. LG stated they would send the same Technician the next day for a third attempt, and that if it could not be resolved they would then replace the unit. I was told the appointment time would be between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. but after having left work early my wife waited there all day for nothing. The technician never called or showed. At 6:05 p.m. I called LG who stated not to worry he would be there some time that night. At 8:15 he showed up. I was there for this visit. I am a 30 year GM Technician and hold both ASE, Robin Aire, IMACA and GM A/C certifications. I watched the technician hook a gauge to the unit and the readings with the unit on was 60psi on the low side. They do not use a high side. The needle never waivered, yet the evaporator was frozen as were the lines leading toward the compressor. He claimed that the evaporator must be clogged. I replied it had been professionally cleaned the first time it froze up in May even though it was only 5 months old. He was adamant the unit could not breathe, so we took the unit outside and with a flashlight removed the evaporator and flushed the unit with a hose and found no debris, no mold, no dirt, nothing restricting the cooling fins. The water was clear and went straight through front to back and top to bottom. This stumped and confused the technician who claimed he did not know what was wrong. We reinstalled the unit and turned it back on and watched it start to freeze again the exact same way. I stated that where the freeze point ended had to be the point of an internal restriction debris, etc. and he stated that it must be a free floating internal restriction but had no idea how to fix it. So he wrote a note saying the system was fully charged and cleaned and he found nothing wrong. I was left with an A/C unit that still does not cool and freezes up. I called LG today, they had previously told me that after three repair attempts they would replace the unit. However today, they stated they would send a different technician who could give a different opinion, then they would consider replacing the unit. I was extremely upset and was beside myself with anger. First I was lied to about the time of the appointment, then I was lied to about third time repair attempt and they would replace my unit. Now I am expected to lose more time at work to be there for another repair attempt when they have failed in the last three to make a repair. There must be another way to resolve this short of buying another unit. I have a three year replacement plan with Home Depot but it does not start until after the year is up and that is still 4 months away, and in the heat of Florida I will not last 4 months with out A/C. This is unacceptable and should not be the way a company treats their customers. I will never buy another LG product and will pursue this until I get some type of resolution, I am just not sure what or when that may be.

We purchased this refrigerator from Home Depot in April of 2016. One year in, we started to hear a loud rattling sound. The repairman said it was build up of ice around the fan. Fan had to be replaced and fridge defrosted and told me to keep all the seals maintained with vaseline to keep it from happening again. Now, another year later, the unit has stopped cooling. All the food in the freezer had defrosted and fridge was warm. LGs website listed two service companies in our area. First one doesnt do fridges anymore. Second one had terrible reviews so I didnt call them. Had the same repairman come out that did the fan and he says the compressor has failed. This really needs to be a class action suit against LG... So many people have the same issues and we paid close to $4000 for this refrigerator.

Purchased all new LG appliances and 11.5 months to the day my freezer stopped working. I have had 3 different service companies come to my house all claiming its a different issue. Two weeks ago another company came out and replaced the compressor, it lasted two weeks. I lost most of the food in my freezer and now the refrigerator is holding a balmy 53 degrees. According to the USDA, food stores longer than two hours in temp over 43 should not be consumed. The repair place has to come tomorrow and declare a lemon, but who knows how long it will be before they take care of this, if they ever do. All I can say is NEVER BUY LG products.

I always thought LG was an awesome brand. Two year after purchasing my beautiful fridge it stops cooling. I now have lost all my food in freezer and fridge right before Christmas so it was packed and unfortunately the repair cannot be made till after Christmas and perhaps after the New Year. I am without fridge and freezer till parts come in.....When I called LG and spoke with someone about what was going on I was offered a 200 credit and I wasnt sure what that was all about but now I understand what is going on. I hardly think think that is compensation enough for food and time without a fridge. Not sure I will ever purchase LG again. Actually quite sure I wont.

I was so frustrated with my LG Front load Dryer we purchased in 2016 as after about 1.5 years use, the dryer started DESTROYING our clothing. Clothing would catch off the edge of the lint filter ending up in a twisted knot, shredded. I checked online for other people with a similar problem and found someone else experienced what I had. I had my husband take a look and he found a collection of lint stopping the filter going in all the way. He added a cardboard extension to the long narrow vacuum cleaner attachment. (Has to reach down 10 into the narrow channel.) We could not believe the amount of lint was sucked out. PROBLEM WAS SOLVED - filter goes all the way down. Hope LG has fixed this issue in future models.

I started noticing small holes in my clothes, which baffled me. I’m worried that maybe we had moths, so I took out all of my clothes, emptied the closets, re-washed, and dried them. Now, all of my clothes had holes in it. I did some research online to discover that cracked drums in LG are fairly common :( I looked inside my dryer, and lo and behold, there was in fact a crack, and the crack was what was ripping all my clothes. LG was bought at Home Depot. I had to wait over a week to get someone in to fix it. All my clothes are ruined. I will never buy LG again. Also, the washer gets stuck on 9 minutes any time you wash towels, and it routinely overflows with soap even if I use HE detergent and fill it to well below the normal level indicated in the soap receptacle.

I love having two ovens! The smaller pizza oven is great for most things, but having the larger oven with the convection feature is wonderful for my big family. I had already reported the bleach dispenser was rusting without results. I called the store and was referred to corporate. I got the runner around there. After trying to work with them they had a recall on a part. After that was installed the washer is slower which I reported right away. Bought April 2013. Drying fault reported November 2013. Machine blew up/imploded February 2013. After 3 engineer visits that took 2 months to complete the machine was deemed repaired (engineer 1 guessed the fault wrong, engineer 2 guessed the fault right but instead of logging it he marked the job as complete, engineer 3 brought the right part and recommissioned the machine).Soon after during a fast spin cycle the machine exploded. By that I mean that it spun out of control at 1400 RPM, a bracket broke, the motor is broken, the drum is broken and in all I have a ruined appliance - what would have happened if my terrified wife had not been there to hit the power supply off (not to mention what could have happened to her)? The machine did not cut itself out. The 4th engineer found essential fixing screws were not where they should be ... did engineer 3 fail to correctly put the machine back together, or did LG supply a dangerously defective machine?I would be able to answer these questions if LG showed any interest at all in handling my complaints. After being escalated numerous times to supervisors we have never heard from a supervisor. We have never received an apology. We are forced to accept the same sub-contracted repair company to tinker with this appliance. I have told the supplier that I am not accepting anymore repairs and I am demanding a refund. This is spiraling into a court case. This machine cost 600. It is meant to be the best. Instead, it broke down within the first year and the after sales warranty service has been appalling. Their telephone number costs money to ring, it inevitably means a lengthy wait and discussion, the person at their end has no authority other than to follow a script, their supervisors make no attempt to communicate to us, their repair service is awful (4 engineers!!! and after the 3rd the machine exploded!).I rang their head office and the abrupt receptionist repeatedly told me to speak to customer service about my problem and that they do not give out names ... the senior managers are ring fenced in hiding from customers who are thoroughly fed up with their service. I tried publicly shaming them into giving me what they legal have to. Their Facebook team ignored me and their Twitter team gave me the link to their website. Seriously, this is a company that shows no interest in customer service. If they did, then I would not be in this situation.(And for info, the initial fault is a drying fault. The machine vents the steam during the drying cycle via the water waste pipe. Before it gets there it passes through an internal chamber and takes with it all the lint, hair and other debris collected in a drying cycle. However, that muck instead of being discharged settles on the inside of this chamber. It builds up and then blocks the chamber. This then means the machine can NOT remove the steam generated during a drying cycle so the clothes just become so hot that they will burn skin - proof being when my wife burnt herself on the machine. Now, being a simple customer I of course cant state the obvious that this is a fundamental design flaw. I have to PAY for a qualified engineer to inspect the machine and they have to write a report to state this. 1 - I have to PAY! 2 - What independent engineer is going to do that against a mega corporation?)I will never buy LG again and their level of customer service has pushed me to channel my anger into putting an objective and correct review of them on any review site I can find. Not to mention an exponential Facebook network. They just do not care.

Force them to open the source code and let someone savvy fix the software - other than LG. They should be fined for the water wasting in a drought. This is huge capacity machine that cannot balance a light load.

LG Refrigerator Compressor Model # LFX31945ST/02 - We bought our refrigerat
LG Refrigerator Compressor Model # LFX31945ST/02 - We bought our refrigerator in February 2014. It was discounted almost half off to $1851.30 and we had another 10% off coupon (plus they automatically added the 3 year warranty that was another $90). I asked what was wrong with it, why it was discounted so much and I was told it had been a loaner fridge while someone elses was repaired. I snatched it up thinking I was getting a great deal for our new house. There were things that didnt seem right like the door never seemed to seal tight and the light would work then go out then work and so on, but nothing major just little quirks. Then in July 2017 we got up one morning to find that everything was hot in both fridge and freezer. So I contacted LG. I knew that my extended warranty had run out 5 months earlier, but I was told that the compressor was still under warranty along with a few other parts. They could only find 2 places that would work on LG and both were an hour plus away. So I contacted one who right off the bat told me LG was notorious for their compressors going bad. They came out to diagnose a bad compressor $91 and had to get authorization for parts. Meanwhile he informed me that he had 6 more LGs he had to get to with you guessed it BAD COMPRESSORS. Some of them going bad in the first 6 months. After the parts came in he came out replaced it for another $288.90. I asked him would this last longer than the 3 years that I got out of the first one and he told me they would not guarantee anything. He recommended that I sell it as fast as possible. Imagine how I felt. That was last Tuesday 8-15-17. Today is 8-22-17 and it has yet to cool or freeze properly. We have had 2 gallons of milk go bad because it is too warm and my ice maker hasnt worked yet because it has to reach 15 Celsius before it will make ice. We bought bagged ice and it melts a puddle underneath it because it is too warm. I called the technician back who of course feels bad but is not surprised. I spent an hour on the phone with LG this morning, and they tried to get me to call another technician out. I refused told them they better make this right. She told me they would replace the compressor, I told her they would also pay the labor that I was not paying another dime. I just paid it last week and I am not paying it again. She told me the technicians work was guaranteed. I informed her that he told me they would not guarantee it and that they recommended I sell it. She then told me we would reset the freezer by opening the door and slamming it 4 times in a row. What a joke. She told me not to open it for 6 hours and she would call me back then. So I am waiting and furious that we have now lost food twice because LG has an inferior product and refuses to fix it. The technician is scheduled to come back Saturday and is expecting me to pay if LG does not. I will update after my phone call this afternoon. I recommend you stay away from LG refrigerators.

WM2050 CW - After reading all the concerns and complaints from other customers, I must say that I have very similar problems with this machine. First, the smell of clothes and the permanent stench that this washer has is nauseating. Second, the machine started leaking from the bottom about a month ago. We thought it was the bottom filter that needed cleaning so my wife and I cleaned it periodically thereafter. That did not stop the leak. Today we pulled machine out of wash room to outside wood deck and propped it up on wood rafters so that I could get under it and examine origin of leak. It appears to be the door boot seal, which I intend to replace myself after I order it from Amazon ($70). I will update this review as I install and use machine with new part. Just like other reviewers, though, I would not buy another LG washer or dryer, not will I buy a front-loading machine.

PROBLEM DATE 6/1/18, PURCHASE DATE 2/12/17, PAYMENT AMOUNT 2,432.59. Purchased the LG Refrigerator from SEARS in 2017. Contacted LG at 1-800-243-0000 on 6/1/18 at 9:57 AM about the fridge not freezing/cooling. LG offered a warranty # APN & service # RNN. LG said someone would contact me to setup an appointment for someone to look at the fridge. No one called. I called LG again on 6/2/18 @ 10:09 AM. They said someone would contact me on Monday. I called Tuesday, 6/5/18 @ 5:24 PM because no one had called me. They said it was being sent to the Search Team and someone would contact me in 5 business days. No one called. I called on 6/14/18 @ 8:52 AM. They said someone would be calling me because it had not been 5 business days yet. No one called me. I called again on 6/15/18 @ 8:22 AM they said JCS Technology would be contacting me to setup an appointment. And a new # was assigned. RNN. I was reminded that parts and labor would be covered. We contacted JCS Technology because no one had setup an appointment. There was no answer. I called LG and they said they had an appointment setup for 6/18/18 between 8 AM and 12 PM. No one called or showed up to look at the fridge on 6/18/18. I contacted LG again 6/18/18 @ 1156. They said that JCS would reschedule the appointment. Which was for 6/23/18 between 8 AM and 12 PM. We contacted JCS Technology to make sure someone was showing up. We got a text msg from JCS Technology stating Hi we wont be coming. They will be assigning you to another service center. Sorry for the inconvenience. They got the order mixed up. That was sent on 6/23/18 @ 10:15 AM. I contacted LG again on 6/23/18 @ 10:18 AM and they said they are sending it to their Search Team and it would be 5 business days before we hear anything. I want someone out here to look at the refrigerator. I offered to find someone to look at the fridge and they said they have a search team for that. It will be another 5 days. To sum it up, I have continued to call LG and I continue to be told it will be another 5 days. I have also been told that they have expedited this for me and that I would get a call within 48 hours. I did not get a call. I called again to only be told another 5 days. Today is July 9, 2018. Not a single Tech has been sent to even look at the fridge. I asked LG to let me find someone to look at the fridge, let me pay for it and then LG can reimburse me. LG said that is not listed in their policy and they can not do that...

I purchased an LG electric range in 2008 model LRE30451SW/SB/ST. Towards the end of the first year I noticed at times that things on the touchpad didnt work. As time went on, this happened more often. I went to the appliance store and was told more information was needed. Several months passed before it goofed up again. I reported it. He called to LG but was frustrated with their response. The stove then worked again for several months when the problems slowly became worse. Sometimes turning off the breaker at the circuit panel would correct the problem. It finally arrived at the point where nothing worked on the stove. I called the company myself and was given the run-around.Of course, everything was my fault. Dont buy an LG appliance. They dont care about the customer.

My LG top loader is the biggest piece of crap Ive ever owned. Sometimes it takes literally all day to finish one load. Just last night it filled up 6 times after me manually balancing the clothes. There have been times Ive put sopping wet clothes in my dryer because I get so sick of the endless cycles. I hate this washer and cant even sell it cause Id feel like a dirtbag handing it over to someone else. High efficiency my butt. Wish I had found this website before I purchased this nightmare of a dishwasher (Model LDT7797ST) at Costco. Unfortunately I was out of town and did not run it before the 90 warranty period expired and now I am stuck with this lemon. The problem is, except for one option, it shuts itself off in the middle of most of its cycles (it has numerous options such as half load, energy level, dirtiness of dishes) and does not clean or drain. The dishes are soaking when the one cycle that seems to run completes. LG did send out two repairmen who both said the machine works (as the motor does work and it can drain when its not running in a cycle) but it doesnt. I have spent hours on the phone with Costco (I have called them six times) and LG (I have spoken with them six times) and have missed work to have repairmen tell me nothing is wrong with the dishwasher, and I spent $900 on the purchase of dishwasher. I am so traumatized by this experience, I have stopped using the dishwasher altogether. Save yourself and go with another company!

I have a model number LFZ65960ST LG Refrigerator. I have not been very happy with this refrigerator since I purchased it. First of all, it dents and scratches very easily. Second, I received a notice a part needed replace for a recall due it causes the electric to increase. Lastly, this morning December 26, 2011, we woke up to make breakfast and discovered the eggs were warm. We looked up at the light in the top of the refrigerator and the light cover melted the sockets are black, and everything on the top shelf of the fridge was hot and starting to cook. It ruined all the food on the top shelf of the fridge. It melted the butter in the butter holder. We had to throw away probably $50 worth of groceries. My biggest concern is if we hadnt been home, my house could have caught on fire. We removed the light bulbs out of the light and the light cover is completely ruined, I cant even put it back on the lights it wont fit. I read where there is a lawsuit regarding other home fires caused by this problem. I want to get my refrigerator fixed and I feel there should be a recall for this problem with these refrigerators. Please contact me regarding this matter.

We bought an LG freezer on the bottom french door refrigerator a couple of years ago. One year later, the computer board went out. It wasnt in the warranty. We had to pay for a new computer board. We had to spend a great deal of money for ice in the ice chest to keep things from spoiling. That went on for 3 weeks until the new board arrived. The LG stopped working again soon after. We had to buy a new one, this time, a Maytag. It was bought Oct. 28 and today, the freezer stopped working. Now it has started up again. Very strange. We had given our 15 year old Whirlpool refrigerator to our daughter when we bought the LG and that old Whirlpool is still working like a charm. Thats because it has no computer board on the back! Why on earth do name brand companies compromise their name by manufacturing these inferior products now and use a computer board? They take no pride in their name. Their refrigerators are made in Korea, not the US, and are made to be disposable. Never mind the expense to the consumer. Can anyone tell me why there has to be computer boards to run a refrigerator? They are never reliable. I would love to bring a class action lawsuit to manufacturers of these appliances and computer boards, but dont know where to start. I am sure everything is made in Korea. Shame on all those manufacturers!

All of our appliances and most of our TVs are LG products. They will all be replaced with another brand when the time comes. The Linear Compressor in the french door refrigerators are known defects. Good news is that a class action lawsuit was filed against LG. I had mine diagnosed by a local repairman. He says he sees at least (2) of them every week and sometimes several more. Unfortunately, he was not an LG contractor so he could not get the compressor directly. I would have to contact LG and get authorization letter he can use to order the part and I would have to pay him for labor on installation. I didnt want to have to deal with LG (customer service sucks!!). I called their helpline and explained that I needed someone to replace the compressor that was covered under parts warranty. They said I would have to pay another diagnostic fee. The the tech could schedule the repair. A 2500 refrigerator that lasted (5) years and now I am paying to have it fixed. The Kenmore in my garage is over 20 years old and I have never had an issue with it. Fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me. I will not buy an LG appliance again. Hopefully the lawsuit will yield something.

Shortly after having purchased my stove at a price tag of $1500.00, the control panel went. I replaced it on my dime. The oven emits heat so intense the paint is discolored and peeling near the vent from the oven. The other day I turned the oven on to preheat and went into another room when I heard a horrid noise from the kitchen. I returned to see smoke pouring from the oven and the breaker on my electric panel had popped (fortunately). All lights were flashing and I have not been able to contact LG service lines to report this and inquire into what on earth happened. I will never buy LG again as there are no service people in our city who will touch it. The one company who will service this product put the control panel in upside down when I replaced it and I had to have them make another house call to fix the mess. They are supposed to be trained LG service people. YEAH! I am still sitting here without a stove because I cannot connect with LG. They do not put you on hold, but via a recording tell you they are all busy and to call back. Click! GOODBYE LG...

Loved the look of this range but told salesman I wanted self clean. He said look it has Easy Clean. Not the same I found out 2 months later. Also my service book states I get grill pan for top of stove and small cleaning kit which I found out months later and was told not for my model... But the worst is my oven is chipping enamel - golf ball size chip. Also told not under warranty. This is a defect not warranty problem. So now it’s my problem to replace this part on bottom of oven. Is about $180.00 and grill pan is about 60.00 plus cleaning kit about $10.00 so I need to spend about 250.00 to get my range back to new. Remember this range is only 18 months old... My husband wanted a GE but I like how this looked. Wished I listened but won’t have this range long at this rate because it’s hard to get parts from overseas and customer service sucks and so does the company. Be WARNED!!!!!

We had problems with our first LG, and finally got our money back. We went to Tate Appliance Center in Tampa, FL where we explained what happened and told it was probably a bad unit. Liking the range, we repurchased another and again bought the $2,500 5-year insurance. Were informed that Tate would replace anything that was wrong, including total replacement. Within the first year, the range top glass started to crack. We called LG that the front burner would turn off automatically, beep or stay on. The technician said LG would not replace it unless it was from the electrical units. Then it cracked across the whole top, which the technician said it needed to be replaced. Lo and behold, LG recalled 161,000 units, but ours was corrected. Now we have cracking from the back control panel. Tate said we had to call their insurance company, but we first offered to have them refund our money and we would buy a 4-piece stainless steel GE package, but they refused. The insurance company said the cracking is not covered since it is cosmetic! We fear what will happen next, but we will never buy LG nor from Tate Appliance Center ever again. Consumers BEWARE!

I bought LG 26Cuft Wifi French Door refrigerator (model LFXS26973D/01; SN 909KRAT00680) from Costco on Nov 12, 2019. It was 2-year warranty. Unfortunately, I am only 2 months late and both Costco and LG washed their hands from any manufacturing defect. The water filter that needs to be changed every 6-month does not work anymore even with LG brand filters LT1000 or LT1000P/PC/PCS (ADQ747935). I bought a new LG filter head (AKN729490003) and even it does not work. Calling Costco and LG has no help because only 2 months more than 2-year warranty. I tried a professional appliance for help, even they could not help. I am sure it is manufacturing defect and there is no recall. This means I have to trash this LG refrigerator just in 2-year. I would not recommend anyone to buy LG refrigerator and get frustrated like me.

I bought an LG over the stove exhaust hood microwave in September 2009. Less than a year later, the door cracked along the frame. This hood was covered under warranty. Again, in 9 months, the second door did the same thing. I was referred to Warner Stellians headquarters customer service. Susan ** dealt with LG, who said too much time had lapsed since the original warranty expired. She then contacted their sales rep who came back with the same response. Therefore, Warners Stellian will do nothing about the door. I think the second door should have been under warranty because it was a new door. Otherwise, the microwave should be replaced. The plastic construction of the microwave door is defective; its failed twice, both times within 9 months of installation.

We did a complete kitchen makeover and chose top end appliances, or at least so we thought! The LG refrigerator is the absolute worst appliance we have ever bought. From day one there were issues and LGs customer service is non existent! Has never made ice on a regular basis, now doesnt make ice at all. The plastic drawers are all broke and duct taped so that we can still use them. Most importantly the lighting has not worked correctly since the day we first plugged it in. Some times they work, most times they dont. At one point we smelled smoke and opened the frig to find the plastic cover on the top mounted lights had completely melted off. Luckily our home did not burn! At this time our top end LG refrigerator does not make ice, has no lighting (we use a flash light to find what we need), the bottom freezer works when it wants to and our drawers are all duct taped so that we can use them. WARNING: THE LIGHTING ISSUE COULD COST YOU YOUR HOME! DO NOT BUY A LG REFRIGERATOR!!!!

LG WASHER WT5001CW SERIAL 006KWWZ00297 - We purchased this EXPENSIVE washer in December 2010 before my auto accident and I had a great job. We loved it while it was working properly!!!! Now 4 1/2 years later, I am disabled and my wife of 32 years left. I live on very little thru no fault of my own and now this washer has been down for 5 weeks. Approx a year ago, we started having trouble with excessive vibration thru all cycles. This machine does not have an agitator and is a top load wave force washer. We called LG and found out it was under recall. LG sent techs out and changed out the main computer board free of charge. We noticed that the cycles got longer and we still had a vibration although it was better. We were told that it would get better over time. It did not so we just lived with it. Then 5 weeks ago my daughter came to wash clothes for me. During a rinse cycle, it sounded like the world came to an end. Upon inspection, the entire pulsator assy. came apart (bottom plate, center cap and center bolt) and hit the glass top. After dealing with LG multiple times, finally, a tech was sent out. It was the same guy who had previously change out the computer board. He got on the phone with his company and scheduled a repair tech. A week later, he shows up wanting an upfront payment (NOT!!!!!) so he left. I called LG. Now they say there is no record of our contacting them. I have begged these folks for help. Finally I got a number of an authorized LG repair person locally. Now it seems that the main bearing has gone out and most likely for what its gonna cost to fix this washer is over half what I paid for it - SERIOUSLY????????? The machine is 4 1/2 years old and if this is what service and longevity LG products now have, then I have bought my last one - I can go back to a brand new standard washer for what it will cost to fix this thing. SHAME ON YOU LG!!!!! I understand all things can break down, but your customer service is now CRAP.

Its still not working and they cant come until Monday -- over two weeks after the new compressor was installed. And now the refrigerator portion is not cooling. ELECTRONICS] who told me he could come that same afternoon [5/18] to look at the refrigerator. o J.O.A. comes at 3 pm EDT, runs diagnostic, confirms it was the compressor, charges me $50 and starts to leave. I ask him how long it will take the part to come in.o J.O.A. then tells me LG will order compressor and fix the refrigerator that he can’t do it. [Are you freaking kidding me?] • Called LG support back and talked to a new service rep who told me: o J.O.A. Electronics shouldn’t have charged me $50 as my refrigerator was still under warranty and he should order the part so he can come back and fix it. o She then supplies ME with their contact info and tells ME I need to:  Call them and tell them they have to return my check. [as they shouldn’t have charged me] Confirm that they can order the part and fix the refrigerator. [Isn’t this why she’s getting paid?] • So at this point my husband gets home from work and calls J.O.A: o who refuses to return or destroy our check, causing us to call our bank and issue a stop payment [$30].o who also tells Steve that his job was to do a diagnostic, not order the part or fix the refrigerator just do a diagnostic. [seriously, this is who my service ticket from LG went to? What happened to a certified tech or company…] • Called LG support back [for those counting, this is call three on 5/18], and talk to another service rep who: o Listens to my tale. o Puts me on hold to talk to management; and then gets back on the phone to tell me, she can:  schedule an appointment [**] with Jude an LG certified technician, for 5/26 between 8-12 EDT [because Monday, 5/25 was Memorial Day] NOTE: that’s a week without a refrigerator DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, OVER THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND AFTER DOING A MONTH’S WORTH OF FOOD SHOPPING.o After slightly losing my **, let’s be honest folks, for all of those of you who know me, patience is not my strongest strength, I tell her fine and graciously accept the appointment with Jude the Savior for over a week away. We make due for the next week without a refrigerator [shopping daily/borrowing refrigerator space from friends]. Again, you can’t make this ** up. • So, joyous day, 5/26 arrives: o Jude [the long awaited LG certified tech] calls to tell me he’s running late and will be at our house closer to 1:30/2:00. o In the meantime, our address update from my calls a week earlier take effect and our town is updated. [they had the correct street address but the wrong city]o I immediately get a call from Jude, the LG certified tech and savior, who I have waited a week to come fix my refrigerator, who tells me our town isn’t in his territory so he won’t be coming because it’s too far. He cancels my RNN ticket. [We live 15 minutes from the wrong town in the ticket.] • Pissed off [major understatement], I called LG support, tell the service rep I want to speak to a supervisor, get put through to another minion, tell my story, AGAIN, including the J.O.A. mess, tells me he can get us serviced the next day [you see there’s no way we can get same day service because of COVID-19 and such – really, there’s a pandemic in play, this is news to me], 5/27, new ticket issued [**]. [We wait with baited breath to find out who is going to be coming to fix our refrigerator.] o I get a text telling me a service ticket has been issued and I will be contacted once a service center has confirmed.o J.O.A. ELECTRONICS accepts my ticket is confirmed as our service company. [again, you can’t make this ** up] • We call back LG support, express our frustration and concerns about J.O.A. being assigned the ticket and again tell him the story about J.O.A. an the incident that happened back on May 18th. o While we’re on hold, the service rep calls J.O.A. himself. [props Arnell as it was more than Diane did for us on 5/18]  They assure him they can do the job and they will call us to set up an appt.o We wait. [NO CALL. NO APPT SET UP.]• The morning of 5/27, I literally get woken up by a text from LG that says they are still looking for a provider to come as quickly as possible. I will be notified when an appt is confirmed.• I send an email complaint to the office of the president because he wants to be connected to his customers (5/27), outlining our dilemma and the challenge we’ve had getting service for our refrigerator. [Again, it’s only 16 months old]• 5/27, call LG support (again), to be disconnected (again), but this time Service Representative calls me back. We now have a case ticket (vs a repair ticket [CNN vs an RNN]) which will take 3-5 days to be reviewed before hearing back from LG. [AT WHAT POINT IS LIFE GOOD WITH LG because I’ve missed the GOOD LIFE EXPERIENCE!]• 5/29, receive a standard letter from an executive advisor in response to my letter to the president thanking me for my letter, telling me that my case is in review and let her know if there was any immediate needs that she could help me with…SERIOUSLY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? IMMEDIATE NEED. HOW ABOUT A REFRIGERATOR THAT WORKS!!!The worst part is we are out hundreds of dollars in food, the returned check fee, a couple of vacation days and I still do not have a working REFRIGERATOR. At this point, I just want my money back so I can buy a refrigerator that works and will work 10 years from now. Again, our compressor didn’t even make it 24 months. So if you’re in need of a refrigerator, do not buy the hype – LIFE IS NOT GOOD WITH LG. Buy a Samsung, GE, Kenmore, or another brand. Life is not Good.

I bought an LG refrigerator with two doors side by side and two freezer doors underneath from Best Buy at west farm mall in Farmington, Connecticut three years ago. The new fridge price was $2,100. Last month the fridge stopped working. Do not know what the problem is. Reading all the reviews with the same problem, I was wondering if I should even call the repairman and spend and lose additional money on this lemon of a refrigerator. If anyone is filing a class action law suit, please let me know.

Purchased the LG model LFXS29626S 11/10/2015, and it appears the compressor went out on 7/3/2019. We did purchase an extended warranty through The Home Depot. Home Depot reports that LG prefers to handle their repairs. Since then the repair has been sent to A&E for repair and the repair is now scheduled for 7/22/2019. Three weeks to get the fridge looked at. Lost all food in the fridge and freezer. Seen online that these compressors are not holding up.

Our LG LRBN22514ST refrigerator works fine, but the handles on the refrigerator AND the freezer have broken off! The handles are fine, but LG uses PLASTIC mountings that give out over time - really poor choice! Why not use metal mounts and charge a dollar or two more? Ive replaced the bottom refrigerator mount once, but now the part is no longer available - same as the freezer handle mount! Now the (otherwise) functioning refrigerator is difficult to open! Planned obsolescence? Good job at that!!

Fridge stopped cooling in early May. Its only 2.5 years old. After six repair appointments 3 of which were to tell us they could not do it that day, and had to order parts and a four hour repair appointment it broke again a week later. Called LG. Called repair service A & E through Lowes. Still have no fridge and more parts on order including another compressor. LG refuses to acknowledge the first four hour repair in May because it was set up with the same repair company but through LOWES my extended warranty. I called and offered to walk away for the near cost of replacing it. They refused so I am taking them to Small Claims Court. LG is garbage.

When my ancient Whirlpool washer finally died in the fall of 2012, we decided it was time for an upgrade. My partner found a good deal via a big-box retailer for an LG washer and dryer... good stuff, right? From day one, the dryer has been nothing but an albatross around our necks. Almost immediately it begin to fail after only a few uses. The rather abrupt LG technicians kept stating that our venting system was to blame. We cleaned it carefully and still had problems. Finally, an independent technician suggested we route the vent directly to the outside, which we did. Never mind the built-in vent system worked adequately with our old dryer... Well play the game. Finally, the dryer seemed to work well.Recently, my daughter was preparing to dry her clothes and noted that one of the electrical breakers had flipped due to the dryer activation. We re-flipped the breaker and the dryer was activated but did not dry. Nothing like a little midnight unloading of wet clothes and rigging a temporary clothesline, eh? Of course, we contacted LG and received the standard line Did you check your vent? We did receive a technician referral but of course no service call until Monday, so we experienced a pioneer lifestyle with our clothing needs for the weekend. No real problem, just a hassle. The friendly technician spent approximately five minutes finding the problem, a burned wiring harness. Yep, parts to be ordered and over $300.00 in repairs. The technician remarked that it is wise to stay away from LG, Samsung, and Kenmore appliances as they contain substandard parts. He didnt have to tell me twice. Ill fix this thing, of course. And then Ill go shopping for a good AMERICAN brand like I should have done in the first place. Moral of the story, STAY AWAY FROM LG!

My 14 month old 26 cu foot LG refrigerator completely died on 4/19. LG ONLY allows their service companies and THEIR parts for repair. 1st attempt at repair did not work. Now they tell me it will be 5/15 to get the needed part and sorry for my inconvenience. I spent the last 3 days on the phone with management and although I have been told theyd replace the unit, they have not. I have been told 3 times now that Id get a call back within 24 hrs and never have. They are totally giving me the runaround and flat out lies.I have been without a fridge for 14 days now... with several children. No milk, no cheese, etc. It is a nightmare. If I had known the horrible customer service issues, Id have just gone out and bought a different brand fridge weeks ago. I guess Im a sucker for believing that the company might actually want to provide a satisfactory customer experience. Not being on hold for 45 min while a recording repeatedly chimes your time is valuable to us.

Warning!!! Do not ever buy a LG True Balance Washing Machine unless you dont mind waiting 2 - 3 hours for a wash to finish. Unless you are doing a small load with exactly the same type of clothing in it expect your machine to go out of balance and either take forever to balance or stop and wait for you to balance it manually. I will NEVER buy from LG again. They have done nothing to correct the problem but come in and replace the motherboard which does nothing. The problem is in the concept - direct drive/self-balancing doesnt work. I have actually stood and watched as the wash went from almost done (3 minute mark) to starting another rinse/spin cycle. Extremely frustrating and costly in electricity and water consumption.

I have a LG LSXS26326 side by side, not even 3 years old, purchased 3/2015 from Lowes for $1600, 3 weeks ago is not cooling on either side. I called LG direct many times, always getting the runaround. I was given 2 numbers of repair services in my area. I called these numbers 2 days in a row and left messages, with no response. Every service repair company I called in my area said they are not authorized to work on LG sealed system or compressor, since they are under warranty. HomeAdvisor sent a service repair out from SC, Im in NC, 30 minutes and $75 dollars later, I was told it would cost a minimum of $500.00 in labor to fix the problem and maybe parts, since LG customer service is so hard to deal with, like I didnt already know. Repair would need to replace compressor and sealed system and blowing out lines with very expensive gas. I was told parts are still under warranty by LG Direct, but could take 7-10 days to ship out, who knows how long it would take to get them??? Ive lost hundreds in food. My repairman basically told me to go bUy a new refrigerator, he said 85% of the refrigerators they work on are LG, and recommended Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid and/or Maytag as replacements. Very upset that they do not stand behind their products and their customer service has A LOT to desire. Do not buy LG unless you have money to throw away. Im a single mom and this has cut way into our budget. $1600.00 down the drain!!! We had hopes to go on vacation this year, but thanks to LG that wont be happening, having to buy another fridge in such a short period of time, has taken that out of the budget.

We cleared the fridge out and the coils were fine (not frozen). We tried everything. Then realizing it wasnt something we could fix at this point we called LG. LG then proceeded to tell us that someone would contact us in 24-48 hrs about our fridge to schedule a repair... well no call. So we called again, they said someone would fix to in 15 or so days. 15 days without a fridge?! Was told they would call us back in a couple hours so they can look into it. AGAIN, no call back! Imagine that! We are beyond frustrated! Upon researching the company, they are known their fridges having issues!

The issue appeared to resolve spontaneously. Exactly a year later we are having the same problem. We have completed the ridiculous instructions to unplug the power for 2 hours, then wait 24-48 hours to see if cools. We can expect service in 10 days. This is unacceptable, LG knows of the poor performance of this refrigerator and has failed to take appropriate action to resolve the problems in a timely manner.

There are limited appliance repair companies in my area that will work on the dual cooling system. I live in a large city, so this is hard to believe. The plastic wash drum which surrounds the stainless steel wash bowl is easily pierced by Australian fifty-cent piece. Weve had it almost a year, the problem was evident from the start; at times the washer would NEVER stop. The first call to LG service said there were no faults in the machine (over the phone code reading) just out of balance load. BUT we were told NEVER put pants AND shirts in the machine together! Err, WHAT!? The second call we were told we were out of the service area, funny; we had asked that from Home Depot BEFORE we bought it. But after a few emails to LG they did find someone and he came out and replaced the computer. Now the machine does finish the load IF and only IF its happy and in a good mood. Balance is really critical and it tries for a long time to rebalance it before giving up. I dont believe there is anything wrong with the washer at this point, it is just a BAD design, STAY AWAY. And the warranty department doesnt really give a damn.

Initially the LG double oven and 5 burner stove top looked amazing. It did just what we wanted it to do during the holidays. The super boiler burner is great. The double oven did everything we needed for the holiday dinners. The only problem is the burners turn on (Gas) with the least amount of pressure on the knobs. Other reviews have express the same danger and LG does not have a fix according to other reviews. I went to my local hardware store and bought springs that I cut to length and placed them behind the knobs to provide the need for more pressure to activate the ignition. Its a matter of time before clothing or other items get caught on fire. Especially with the Super Boiler burner.

Refrigerator and freezer intermittently warm up (not defrosting!). Refrigerator compartment goes to 60 degrees and freezer to 40 degrees (contents thaw and melt). Refrigerator less than three years old! Called LG (plan to be on hold forever!!). Had to pay upfront for service contract as some of my system components are still under warranty (would not schedule my appointment until credit card cleared). $362 upfront for one service call. Cheapest plan available. Authorized service dealer that was sent showed up two hours late to a four hour service window (waited 3/4 of day for technician to show). Technician never got a tool out, didnt measure a temperature, didnt remove a panel, never looked behind refrigerator. Unable to diagnose a problem. Worst service experience I have ever had! Called LG again (did I mention to plan on being on hold forever!). Explained my service experience and asked for a supervisor to help me. Said supervisor would call in next three days; no one called. Called back asked for supervisor to please call me. They promised a call in two days; no one called!!! Called a 4th time and spoke to an LG consumer affairs person. They were no help. So we installed a new LG range last month during a kitchen remodel. Huge capacity oven, which I appreciate, but the chime indicating preheating target temperature is 100 degrees too early. It ultimately reaches target temp, but about 10 minutes later. The first casserole baked gave us mild food poisoning as we erroneously believed it had cooked according to the recipe. In fact, it was placed in the oven 100 degrees below temp, lost heat in the process of opening the door, then was never cooked long enough. Now I have an internal gauge hung in the middle of the oven space, which I have to illuminate with a flashlight shone through the door, to monitor temp. What a colossal waste of $1300.

I purchased a higher end LG double oven gas range. It is made poorly using cheap and thin material. They used a silver film for the knobs to give the appearance of stainless steel. I didn’t even realize a metal looking film was used on the knobs until it started bubbling after a few uses. A year and a half later the bottom oven displays an F19 code. An LG technician replaced the harness and the ignition. 2 years later the exact same issue happens. I contacted LG and they do offer warranties for faulty products. Their products are awful especially for what you pay. There are so many other brands who provide quality products at a reasonable price and stand behind their products. I will never purchase LG products again and DO NOT RECOMMEND their products especially their ranges, refrigerators and dishwashers. They all begin to have issues and fall apart within 2 years and you will have to keep having them repaired around every 2 years.

I purchased a new LG refrigerator in June 2015 and about 3 years later it stopped working. It turns out to be a faulty compressor. Even though the compressor is warrantied for 10 years I still had to pay over $300 for repair. I thought it may have been just a fluke but exactly one year later the same thing happened again. When I contacted LG they once again expect me to pay for repairs out of pocket. It is highly unreasonable that a refrigerator would not last past 3 years and then the repaired compressor would once again failed in just a year. This WT5075CW washer is completely useless. I am going to have to replace it, and I have only had it a little over a year, but I cant take it anymore. It gets unbalanced on the spin cycle for no apparent reason. I only was like weight and size clothes together. I rearrange the clothes when it gets unbalanced and then restart. It starts filling with water again and stops unbalanced again. I try the Spin Only cycle. Same thing. I was the same loads every week and it is completely random as to which load will have this problem. Last week, it was the delicates – how can they cause an unbalance???!!! I am left with an entire load of sopping wet clothes that I have to drain over the top of the washer, hang out on the patio until the dripping stops and then dry in the dryer for over an hour. I called my BrandsMart extended warranty repair team out and they said that is how the washer was designed and charged me $60.

Ive been trying for a month to get service on my dishwasher. Although the 1 year warranty is gone, the board is warrantied for 5 years. First time I called LG they gave me 2 phone numbers for 3rd party service in my area. I called them several times and never got a call back. I set out to look for my own 3rd party service and contact Sears because they advertise that theyll fix any appliance whether you purchased it from them or not. The repairman showed up this morning and told me that Id have to call LG to get approval from them to have Sears be the 3rd party vendor. The service fee would be $99. That was OK with me.I called LG and was told that they had a local LG authorized service in my city. I got transferred and spoke with them. I was told that they would schedule a repair if I paid $125 up front and then the charge me for the installation of the part (which was free). That would have amounted to over 30% of the total original cost of the machine. I have no idea what to do now. I was able to submit an email to service to see if I get a better answer. Regarding other reviews about how dishes stack inside the washer, I have to agree. I always had issues with glasses breaking because they fell over. I change the way I put them in. The thing I liked about the dishwasher was the short Turbo cycle. It was 58 minutes and did a good job. If you buy an LG Dishwasher be sure to purchase the extended warranty.

LG needs to stand behind their product or go out of business. The BBB needs to step in and deal with this MAJOR issues especially with their refrigerators! I would personally like to take mine back to their MAIN OFFICE and do what the lady in the old Discount Tire Commercial DID!!! I wouldnt recommend to ANYONE to purchase an LG Product PERIOD.

Lg seems to have better products than most companies. They look better and have better functionality and for the price they cant be beat. Weve had our LG fridge for 8 years and not 1 problem. We had to special order the size and we couldnt have made a better pick. Its sleek and has plenty of room despite being smaller than the standard fridge. I like the bottom freezer, it has a drawer so it really maximizes the space in the freezer. If I had to change anything it would be on the outside. Because it is a smooth shiny black, fingerprints show badly on it as well as any dirt or food so I constantly have to wipe it down which isnt a dealbreaker for me because Im OCD anyway.

I purchased an LG dishwasher for my newly renovated kitchen, it was professional installed the first of May right before the final acceptance of the renovation. The plumbers tested the dishwasher and all appeared ok, I never had a chance to even use it once. On May 9th I walked into the kitchen to find three inches of water in the kitchen and dining/living rooms, with water pouring out from the dishwasher. It was inspected by the factory rep from LG that a clip on one end of water hose was missing and determined this was a factory defect. Since there was extensive damage to three Persian rugs floating in water, furniture and areas behind the newly installed cabinets I filed a claim with LG and after 4 months they still have not made a reasonable offer to reimburse me for the damages their defective product caused. Very very poor customer service. Will never purchase another LG product and would not recommend their products to anyone.

I bought the whole set. Gas convection oven, dishwasher, big refrigerator and the microwave for my new home. It didn’t last even a year. LG said yes they will fix it. Months later, nope. Now I have a useless appliance and wasted money. My $25 Hamilton Beach is going strong 3 years later. I don’t recommend doing business with this company or Home Depot.

The service for the repair on the refrigerator was great. The call center service for our food loss claim has been horrible. Can’t get a call back or a straight answer. Will never buy an LG in the future.

In September 2011, we purchased an LG gas range. Within a month, we requested a service call because two of the top burners did not operate correctly. Five months since purchase, we now have total failure of the oven (doesnt come on at all) and when it did previously work, the convention option for the oven worked erratic. I still have trouble with two top burners. The grill does not get hot enough to cook a pancake. The largest burner goes out of control with huge flames (scary)! Service person was out two weeks ago and we were informed that replacement parts were not presently available and we will be contacted later. I called again to launch a complaint. I was then told we would receive a call back later that day to report the status of our claim. No call was received.I am a caregiver to an Alzheimer patient who also is diabetic. I have special foods to prepare on this new, pretty stove that doesnt work well enough to prepare a decent meal. I am severely limited in my ability to provide nutritional care for my family member. And, yes, Im angry about the situation. My range cost $1,232 and for that expense I get a bag of trouble and face a company that will not yet (after five months) stand behind the unit to properly repair or replace it.

I recently purchased over 10k in appliances from Home Depot and the Studio line of LG ranges is an engineering nightmare. As others have expressed on their reviews, this range (LG Studio 6.3) presents a very risky and dangerous fire hazard. We did a complete remodel on a new beach house and used all studio LG products, we do not even as yet occupy the house and have never cooked on the stove, nonetheless, mere bumping of the knobs will cause them to turn on unbeknownst to the passerby... Our new 150k custom kitchen would have been set alight if my husband had not smelled the smoke from another room. This has already happened 3 times in the month the range has been installed with no one actually occupying the residence! In disbelieve I did a google search and lo and behold this seems to be a common denominator for all LG range owners. I have contacted Home Depot and LG (Blah blah... We will send a tech. Lol.) however my brother who is a NASA engineer had a look and determined it is an engineering design flaw. It appears LG is closing this model out however if they had any credibility they will recall this immediately before there is serious injury or death... If there has not been already. I am speaking with a law firm next week about a possible class action suit and will post on this site with any information. If you are considering this product, you should do this with the utmost caution, it is a dangerous design.

I am extremely discouraged at the quality of my LG refrigerator I purchased from Home Depot. It is almost 5 years old and the compressor has gone twice in the last month! I was told the Chinese admitted to buying poor quality compressors. My warranty runs out in September and I don’t expect the latest part to last a month. I paid $3000 thinking I was getting a great refrigerator and am letting you know this will be my last purchase for LG products! Sad service from LG!

We purchased the LG front loader washer & dryer for our daughter & son-in-law as a gift in 2012. It is only 3 years old & the washer start button does not work! They have been without a washer for weeks. This is ridiculous to have this happen with such a new expensive washer! Now the repairman said the part is on back order!!! OMG! LG should send them a new washing machine!! Needless to say, with a household of 3, there is a lot of laundry. On back order, how long will it take to get the part in?

We bought this unit in OCT 2017 since then it has failed twice and cost 198.00 in diagnostics and 1000.00 on lost food! In May of 2020 in the middle of the pandemic food shortage it quit cooling for four days, then magically started working again then in JAN 2021 it stopped cooling again and today Im told that it has a gas leak and that has leak are common on these LG units and to avoid all LG and Samsung refrigerators. Not at all what I was expecting from a very expensive fridge from a top name brand company. Never again. The was not my first but will be my last LG product unless they do something for me. Ill be contacting them tomorrow.

When I purchased my refrigerator 7 1/2 years ago there was no warning that it was about to be discontinued. Now I need a part for it or its an anchor for a rather large size boat. I have no respect for a company that dont carry parts for their products past 7 years. Who would have thought that you are supposed to consider making a nearly $2,500 purchase of an appliance as a throw-a-way.

We purchased a LG washer and dryer. The washer is terrible. It takes twice as long to wash your clothes, whites come out yellow, the clothes are not clean. They spent a lot of time putting a lot of bells and whistles on the machine, however it does not do what is intended to do, wash clothes. Our old washer - we washed all the bedding. We tried to wash the down topper from the bed, so much air, would not get wet enough to wash. What a waste, worst we have ever had.
