Purchased a LG washing machine on Nov. 17, 2016. Broke on Dec. 2. Had the repair man from LG out to fix it. Lasted 2 1/2 loads. Broke again. LG customer service gave me the runaround, but finally got the repairman out again. Replaced 3 parts. Machine failed again after 1 1/2 loads. Contacted LG. Got the runaround again, could not get LGs own repair man to come look at it. Finally have a 3rd appt. for Dec. 12. Dont have ANY confidence in LGs repair staff. Hoping after 3 fails they will replace the unit. Communication between customer service and their repair staff is TERRIBLE! Would I buy another LG machine? Probably not. All the their customer service can manage to do promptly and correctly is say Im sorry for your inconvenience. Even then, Im pretty sure they dont mean it.

This is a beautiful, very large washer. Had great reviews and ratings in consumer magazines, etc. For 10 months or so it functioned well, handling large quantities of laundry, including towels and bedding. Then nearing the 1 year mark, the UE symbol, meaning it cant spin out the water from your clothing was a regular occurrence. I was told to use the tub clean cycle. It may have helped it balance for a few uneventful loads. But it was short lived. If you like standing over the top of a washer watching to see if it will spin, etc., but seeing it add 20 or more minutes over and over, then this is the one for you. A big disappointment.Updated on 1/23/2017: Whenever I have called LG about the frequent (Out of balance) issue they always say run the tub clean cycle, which I suppose tries to re-balance or reset without any clothes in it. It even get off balance empty!! Why does this washer get such good reviews in consumer reports, etc.

Why the heck would I spend over $1000 with the 5-year warranty that Home Depot sold me for a machine that only lasted 90 days before a major repair happened? Its not Home Depots fault but the stores have got to start calling out these companies who are selling inferior products and charging an arm and a leg for them. I now have a repair that took 3 days for a service tech to come out, only to tell me that it will be 5 days or more before the part is in and then they will call and schedule the repair. I understand how repairs might happen but strangely, I had a Maytag that did the same thing at the 90-day mark too! It went on to have 3 other major repairs such as leaking all over my floor and ruining the wood (was a slow leak I could not see because it was under the machine), control panel stopped working at 90 days, would not clean dishes and the final straw was another control panel replacement. All under 1 year. So I got HD to take it back and give me a new machine and guess what I picked out??? LG... big mistake. I did not buy a machine like this to have no working dishwasher after 90 days. I will never buy another LG product. I guess customer retention is not important to this company!

10 year motor warranty is useless to me/read the fine print. I have an expensive top load direct drive LG washer that was 3 years old when the machine broke. I called LG and they gave me the name of a company to do a diagnostic. That company came out and determined that the motor shaft was broken. The tech estimated that it would cost close to $900 to fix. (Could buy a new washer for that) Thinking that being absurd, I called LG back and they told me that the part was covered but not the labor. The labor is covered for only a YEAR.They further told me that the guy that they recommended price was way too high. They gave me another number and I called that number only to find out that the company will only service items underparts and labor! Heres the ridiculous part. I cant find anyone willing to do a service call when just the part is under warranty. So after 3 years with an expensive washer it is looking like my only choice is to buy a new washer. LG has been of zero help. I will NEVER buy another LG washer again. It is a total joke dealing with their unknowledgeable customer service.

Our 4 year old LG front load washing machine started making a lot of noise during the spin cycle. We contacted LG who referred us to call an Authorized LG repairman. Well after a $100.00 service call that lasted about 30 minutes, we were told that the drum bearings were bad and not covered under the warranty and the machine would probably not be worth repairing.I will never buy another LG appliance again. It’s no wonder why LG has such a low rate of repairs on Consumer Reports magazine because their machines are not worth repairing!

I will NEVER purchase a LG product. My sister purchased a brand new refrigerator and it stopped working properly after 2 weeks. Around week two she started getting an error code on the freezer control panel and the door alarm started ringing even when the fridge and freezer were closed. She contacted LG and they promised to send out a technician. The first technician came out could not fix the issue and said the door had to be replaced. She waited another two weeks for the door to arrive. The tech came back out to replace the door. Within 2 hours of the technician leaving, the error code returned. She contacted LG once again and a tech was sent out. He said another part needed to be ordered, a month went by before the part arrived. After receiving the part she had to call LG once again and was promised the tech would return. That never happened. She has scheduled two appointments since then and the technician has failed to show. This has been dragging on for three months and the issue still is not resolved. The customer service reps in the warranty departments have poor dispositions and the bottom line is she spent over $1500 for a refrigerator that stopped working properly after 2 weeks. I dont understand why LG has not fixed or replaced the refrigerator. Why is it so hard to get something to simply do what you paid for it to do? LG why have you not resolved the issue? Buyers beware, because this surely could be you.

LG Refrigerator owned about 6 years trouble free. Woke up one morning to a freezer and refrigerator full of ruined food. Call LG and with smart diagnostic feature are told it is not cooling properly (Figured that out with spoiled food). Told need to be serviced by LG authorized service and was given a number to call. 155 for 5 minutes to diagnose bad compressor. LG is aware and has several class action lawsuits against them. Guy need to order part. LG warranty does not cover very expensive labor - 320+ to install. From all the reviews online - They install the same defective part and failure rate of the new one is very high- most fail within the next 12 months.

Its a great refrigerator. The only actual problem is with the French doors... they never seal shut and the door alarm doesnt go off to let you know. You have to make sure you push on them to make sure they are closed. The other problem is that the plastic on the inside cracks easily. Other than that I love it.

I purchased LG washer and dryer (WM8100HVA, DLGX8101V) at the end of November 2019. On Dec 7 I called LG warranty center and report problem with Dryer. Because Covid 19 the past two weeks I was not able to contact LG center. When I was able connected somebody on the line (person from Philippines) inform me my warranty expire a few day ago and they can send tech ($ 125 charge in advance no refundable for evaluation and the tech will quote the final cost of the repair). Is this is the LG policy to respond to customer during this Covid 19 when we try protect each others? (I dont wanted tech coming to my house and get infected.) After simple troubleshooting I realize the problem is electronic board EBR 765 195 14 which I ordered at Searsparts.com for $ 152. I see online customers review. This is a systematic problem with these types of LG dryer. The electronic boards are creating issues. Is the LG planning to recall this product?

I am currently battling with this ongoing issue. I have an LG Fridge that is only 3 years old and went out several months ago. LG has sent out very experienced techs that have basically replaced all parts in the fridge. They have said there is nothing left for them to do but LG insist on locating a very slow leak. This fridge has been repaired several times and It would work for a week or a few days then go out again. I have lost hundreds of dollars in food and they refuse to reimburse me for the fridge. They want to locate a very small leak, yet every time I call LG no one can give me clear answers on the next step.I have been without a fridge for months and if it wasn’t for my Home Depot warranty case manager I would have given up. I don’t mind going thru the process but LG is disorganized, unreliable, and inconsiderate to its customers. Based on my experience I have told family, friends and co-workers not to buy a fridge from LG. Even when their product is a lemon they refuse to approve a payout and instead leave their customers without a working fridge and no response. Awful service!

We were told to confirm via email. We never got confirmation email. Appointment was cancelled and had to again be scheduled. Ive now had to miss 3 days of work to repair bad LG washer. Forgot to mention, washer almost caught on fire due to bad bearing. Thanks for nothing LG. My next washer/drier will not be an LG. Next stop BBB complaint.

We purchased an LG Front Loader True Balance washing machine in MARCH 2016 from Lowes. This past week, SEPT 2016, water started leaking from underneath washer. We contacted LG directly, tried some troubleshooting to no avail. LG customer service asked that we email a picture of our receipt; we did. We called again and someone told us that the machine was made in 2014, purchased in 2016 and they will have to get back to us. Crickets. Then, we called Lowes. They seemed to be helpful but determined we live outside the service territory and they would have to send complaint back to LG. **!! We have not heard anything from anyone for 5 days now. No washing machine, 2 school-aged children, one of which has a bug and has been throwing up for the past three days, myself and my husband who will be going to work commando soon. It seems that most products today are just crap. CRAP! Not only are the products crap, but customer service, service repair procedures and overall way of doing business is dead. Off to wash vomit-soaked stuffed animals by hand. As God is my witness, we will never buy another LG product again.

Evaporator defrost cycle and drain hole freeze up: LG design flaw allows ic
Evaporator defrost cycle and drain hole freeze up: LG design flaw allows ice build-up, which in turn leads to fan damage or stoppage that stops cold air from reaching the upper section. If this condition is not corrected by unplugging the drain hole, the water that normally goes down into the catch pan to be evaporated away ends up dripping through the bottom freezer cooling vents and freezing to the bottom freezer floor. The only way to correct this is to remove the back plastic cover and expose the evaporator coil where the ice build-up must be melted and removed, along with defrosting the drain hole so that water is allowed to flow freely again. Attach a small copper wire to the heating line, which is just under the evaporator coil, and thread it down into the drain hole. This will help to keep the hole open by transferring some heat to the drain hole during the defrost cycle, thus melting any ice that has built up during the cooling cycle. There are some excellent YouTube instructions online on how to remove all the plastic parts without doing damage. Good luck.

I have bought the fridge from Vijay Sales, Pune on 08/08/2014. Since the day of purchase there has been ice crystals formation inside, in the rear wall of the fridge. We have made innumerable complaints at least not less than 4 times. Each time the engineer gives some excuse sets a higher temperature on the fridge and goes way. Unfortunately I have not been at home and my wife gets conned. Now the vegetables have started rotting within 2 to 3 days which is abnormal. The latest complaint no is **. The eng came this time, examine the fridge, increased the temperature to 6 deg Celsius, said that he needed to change the sensor and that was the end of this. As far as I know e. coli starts forming in food articles after 4 deg Celsius. It is extremely distressful to see that an MNC like LG performs like this. I have had innumerable products from LG but this time poor service has crossed the limits. Nothing can change in India. Consumers are helpless. The latest in Maharashtra you have to file complaints in consumer forum in Maharashtrian language. So much for India is for Indians. Better to stay where you were born.

I purchased the pricey LG French Door Refrigerator back in June of 2013 and have had NOTHING but problems. The ice maker jammed constantly and leaked out onto the floor. The bottom freezer compartment stops randomly, spoiling all the contents. I have had repair folks out three times now. And LG is of no help. They now tell me that they will not cover anything because I am past warranty.I am so disappointed in their (lack of) any customer service. They do NOT make it right and I HIGHLY warn anyone from purchasing an LG appliance. I am now working through my credit card company to try to get some repairs covered or hopefully a replacement. The compressor on my LG refrigerator recently failed, after a few years. I’ve been doing a lot of research on the compressor and many people have expressed that concern. So it seems like LGs product doesn’t really last that long. There are refrigerators that were built in the ‘90s and ‘80s that still work to this day. This is a modern fridge with very short life expectancy. It’s very unreasonable, although the issue has been resolved. My decision to buy an LG refrigerator was price-related. But when selling a product, companies should disclose fully the expectancy of the failure rate of their products versus advertising how wonderful they are. All manufacturers should disclose, “Okay. Based on our studies in the past 10 years, out of x amount of units sold, these are how many have failed in this amount of time.” A consumer can make a better decision as well.

It continued to require service and the repair company that LG uses is in no hurry to help. One service call was only a repair guy taking a picture of the model number. THATS IT. THATS ALL HE DID. Updated on 05/02/2021: This is my second review on the same LG electric range. This range has not worked correctly since the first month or two after we bought it! The temperature is NEVER at the correct temperature, the fan never stops blowing even though it’s in regular bake so that every baked good comes out too dark, and the cleaning feature has NEVER worked correctly. I have contacted LG and after them blowing me off the first time, I came here to warn people away from this garbage LG range. LG finally, after contacting me because of my first review, had two different repair companies come to my house. The first company had made seven appointments to attempt to see what was wrong. Four different repairmen came and each one gave us a different story and ordered the wrong parts, resulting in them having to order something else and come at a later date. The second company sent one repairman and he replaced some parts also and it seemed ok, but it’s still all over the place temperature wise and the fan never goes off, still!I do not use the convection setting, the fan should not be burning the tops of my food. This supposed attempt at LG repairing their defective appliance has been going on (this time) since November 2020. As soon as I can afford it, I’m buying a new range and rolling this one down the driveway for the garbage man. People, stay away from LG’s electric ranges, especially this model.Original Review: My LG electric range is only about 18 months old and I really think I wasted my money. I’ve cleaned it a few times a year and all it does is blow all of the dirty stuff onto the door and I always have a layer of black burnt on mess that I have to soak off. The gasket around the door is severely stained from the black gunk that just gets baked on as the oven cleans. I called LG about a year ago and they argued with me and told me to clean the gasket myself when the owner’s manual states not to. When I told the person which page to go to in the manual, they put me on hold forever. When they came back they said they would send out a new gasket that I could install myself. The gasket has yet to arrive, and the promised call-back from a supervisor never happened.Today, I cleaned my oven again and, yep, I’m soaking of the black layer with baking soda and water, the gasket is even more stained now. The oven fan seems to run non-stop, as if it is on convection not regular bake. I’m so disappointed and embarrassed that I proudly announced that I had just bought an LG range in the beginning. How can companies keep their business with such an inadequate level of customer service and defective products? I guess I’ll just be one of the crowd that I didn’t know existed until I searched for possible answers to this defective range’s issues. Never, never, never, again, LG! Keep your junk. My $1000 Whirlpool Gold could run laps around this piece of garbage, I wish I’d never replaced it.

I wish I could describe my experience, but there are no words for the dishonestly, incompetence, run-around, LYING, lack of responsibility, unprofessional, and just plain unethical, horrific conduct this company has shown me in spades and spades and spades. I purchased a very expensive LG Space Saver, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer about 16 months ago. Surprise - surprise, the compressor went out. The labor was not under warranty, but the part apparently was. Well, that would require even a semblance of customer service or honestly or even a mild attempt to care about a customer or fix a product. What I got was a vague reference to maybe having someone CALL ME in 2-3 weeks to MAYBE get out there and maybe fix the compressor. First, I was put through a bunch of dumb tests and waiting -- because yeah, a refrigerator SQUEALING, thawing out, and dripping ice down the door could be caused by leaving the door open for 5 minutes. NOT. And I didnt. Still, it took me a while -- playing LGs games -- to realize that nobody has any responsibility or integrity. That they lie as quickly and effortlessly as some folks breathe, and that every single person you talk to will give you a different answer or solution -- absolute no one will mean what they say or follow through. And they could care less how much of your time, effort, or money they cost you (I lost $800 worth of food; spent over 7 hours on the phone, talking to over 12 different people, many not even in the USA, being promised things that never happened -- only to be shuffled to someone else; being referred to their own repair companies THAT DID NOT EXIST! (Literally, I called all three of the companies myself because I couldnt wait 2-3 weeks for maybe. One, the guy was out for the next month or so because of surgery -- yeah, glad I didnt wait 2-3 weeks on him; one, they said they stopped working with LG years ago and wished theyd quit telling people otherwise; and the last one - phone disconnected). Yet, I could not get anyone at LG to understand why I wasnt willing to wait 2-3 weeks for someone at one of these 3 companies to call me!!!In the send you to ten different people, all of who will lie to you game (oh, and prepare to sit on hold for 30 minutes or more at a time, just to be rerouted to someone and start all over... again... and again...), I was told they had a repairman in the area and were sending him to my house now. Please hold. Please hold. Please hold. only to waste another hour and be told I needed to wait on one of the three companies. This went on for 3-4 days!!! Meanwhile, I tried to call an independent repairman -- my family actually needs to eat -- and what I heard from professional after professional after professional was a NIGHTMARE. No one would work with LG. LG does not pay their claims. LG compressors break all the time. Dealing with LG is a virtual nightmare. Etc! I finally found a company with a certified LG repairman (He used to WORK FOR LG) who said he would work on the warrantied part and seek payment for it from LG. (LG had already given me a useless approval # which I could use with one of those three companies. Are we really back to calling the unicorns and Santa Claus again -- newsflash, idiots! They dont exist!) Anyhow, after another day of dealing with a bunch of representatives not in the USA, I got a hold of someone who walked me through a ton of steps in order to send a pre-approved service authorization to the company I FOUND -- it would be in the companys email box in 24-48 hours. Guess what? Surprise - surprise. There was no email authorization; they never sent anything; they never called me back; and I guess they just lied at the time.So I finally paid to have the private company come out and check the refrigerator -- bad compressor. Of course, read the reviews -- everyone is saying this, so LG must know it! Well the company tried to get a hold of LG to schedule a date to fix the compressor -- they had my approval # and told LG I had been given authorization to use them and the authorization was supposed to be in their email box a week ago (oh, and they made me call the company and get a bunch of information, including this email address for this authorization email that never existed. Maybe they do this ** for fun??? Anyhow, the company Id hired could never get hold of anyone at LG -- no surprise there -- so finally went through their world-class (world being literal - class being a JOKE) customer service, only to be told that there would be no authorization because *I* the customer had an appointment scheduled for next week with one of those three original companies. ARE - YOU - KIDDING - ME!?! No one ever called me or scheduled any appointment, and as we all know -- those 3 companies were bogus to begin with. What the ** kind of operation is LG running. This is beyond PATHETIC. Its fraudulent. Moronic. Inexcusable. Sad thing is: I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANY LG PRODUCT AGAIN, no matter how large or small, and Ive already told everyone I know to AVOID THE REFRIGERATORS LIKE THE PLAGUE. Good going, LG.RUN - DONT WALK - AWAY FROM ANY LG REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER. Or at least call half a dozen appliance repair companies and ask what they have to say about this product -- youll get a surprising earful. LG has no customer service, and they couldnt give two ** if their customers ever get anything fixed, let alone in a timely fashion. If you have 20 - 30 - 40 hours to be given the runaround, to sit on hold, to be lied to and shuffled, to speak to folks all over the world who will each tell you a new and ever-more inventive lie, then by all means, buy this refrigerator. But if you think any part of it will ever break, then youre on your own. LG should be ASHAMED. And I hope theres a class-action lawsuit at some point because they need to be exposed.

This dryer has ruined our clothing. I get so upset every time I use it, the damage it does is upsetting and ruins my day. The clothing gets stuck on the stupid lint filter because it will not go in completely, it sticks up on both ends just enough to damage clothing by twisting it until it breaks. I will never buy another LG product again, and I will be sure to spread the word. This dryer was expensive, I bought it because I expected it to dry our clothing without damage. I am so disgusted with the flaw in the lint filter.

I bought an LG refrigerator with French door and bottom freezer in Aug 2010. I noticed it started to make noise when the ice maker was filling with water. I called Sears for service because it was still under warranty, and that was where I bought it. They gave me an appointment eight days later. At that point, it was still working; I thought, “No big deal.” Then the refrigerator part quit being cold; so, I called back for a sooner appointment. Two days later, the repairman came, and said I needed a new electronic board. He said he would place the order, and the part would be dropped shipped to my home. When it arrives, Im supposed to call them. This is to schedule for them to put it in, and the first available date is in eight days! Who can go without a refrigerator for eight days? They said the warranty didnt cover the food loss. So, Im out a couple hundred dollars, and I am stuck with this lousy refrigerator that I cant stand.

I have a 2-1/2 year old LG french door, bottom freezer refrigerator that I purchased from Sears for $3,000. While on vacation, the entire unit stopped cooling. Called Sears to service. Because it was a sealed system issue, LG covered parts but not labor. 4 visits, $480 later, and 4 WEEKS WITHOUT A WORKING REFRIGERATOR, the unit is still not working. The compressor was replaced, the evaporator was replaced, the dryer value was replaced, as well as 2 valve assemblies.I call LG and they tell me I need another repair company to look at it. I pay another $100 for them to tell me they think it needs another compressor which will cost me another $300 and there is no guarantee that will fix the problem. Unit still isnt cooling, freon is low, and you can hear the freon now gurgling loudly through the unit. I have called LG at least a dozen times. Lucky if you can get someone who speaks English that is understandable. My question to them was, will they deem it a lemon and offer me a buyout or replacement if compressor doesnt fix the problem. They cannot give me an answer. So now I paid $3,000 for this refrigerator, close to $600 already in labor charges trying to fix it and it still does not work and LG will continue to allow this nightmare to continue until God knows when. I am wheeling this piece of crap to the curb and cutting my losses which is EXACTLY what LG wants. You win LG! I will post on every social media account everywhere that I can until your company is out of business. We need a class-action lawsuit against LG as well. Any lawyer interested, please contact me. I purchased a LG washing machine from PC Richards in July 2013. Water started leaking from the bottom of machine. I called PC Richards repair service. 1st technician came out and said he had to order part. 2nd Technician came out two weeks later. He ran the washing machine through a cycle and no water came out. He said nothing was wrong with it, that I must be overloading the washer. I explained to him that it wasnt being overloaded and that the 1st technician ran the cycle and he saw the water coming out, that is why he ordered the part. 2nd technician refused to change any parts because he was convinced I was overloading the machine. He left without doing anything.I washed clothes when he left. Same thing happened, water all over the place. I called service center and complained that 2nd technician didnt do anything. Service center kept telling me they would call me back, that didnt happen. I called again to speak to supervisor. He tells me I have to wait till 12/10 for another technician to come back to my house. LG washers are horrible and PC Richards service center is horrible. I do not recommend either one.

Dont buy an LG refrigerator! I paid too much attention to the breakdown of the refrigerator, and it has been a month and a half since it broke, but it is still the same. I used it so far with a 20% discount on the LMXS28626S in June 2018. When I opened the freezer around the end of January this year, everything was melted. I called the LG Customer Center and changed the compressor on February 10, and it broke two days after fixing it. I called the repairman who came last time and came in a hurry. After checking, he said that he couldnt fix it.. There was a leak somewhere inside, but he couldnt find it. He contacted the repair center and said they would fix it. There was no contact even after waiting. When I called the customer center, they said that I had to talk to a repairman at the site, and that he would send the repairman again. And 10 days later, I finally got the case number... When I called the customer service center a few days later, I used it for almost 3 years, so I subtracted what I used and gave a refund. I got a 20% discount, so I couldnt buy the same refrigerator with that money, so I asked for a full refund if I would give it a refund. He said there was no such thing in company regulations. I would use the refrigerator for more than 10 years if it wasnt broken. What does it mean for you to make such a product, and the consumer will suffer the loss?? They tell me to clean up the broken refrigerator. Its not in company rules... Your company lost more customers because of me.

Updated on 05/30/2020: As I stated in previous review this dishwasher has a manufacturing problem and LG refuses to do anything because it been too long!! It was made without railing on the bottom and thats why the basket keeps falling inside the machine. To refresh, they sent me about a year ago 2 new baskets, which of course didnt help. I dont know anything about machinery so I wasnt aware of the problem. A very nice problem resolver named Sean called and took pictures and told me what the problem was in the manufacturing and that he would resolve my problem and would be calling me in 1 HOUR. Well, its been 5 days and NO CALL!! Each time I have called customer service for an update they get snooty with me and keep giving me the run around. I WILL NOT be purchasing anymore LG products they do not stand by their products. For Sean who said he would help go to hell!!Original Review: LG makes an excellent washer with the exception of my lower basket. From day one Ive had a problem with it and LG sent me another one and it lasted less than 1 year. The bottom basket falls off the runner constantly and I am a senior that would prefer not to have to lift the entire basket filled with dishes to try to push it backside the washer. The model # is LDT9965BD and I bought it a Best Buy and Best Buy refused to help me. So Ive had this washer for 3 years and everyday the same problem. If I could buy another dishwasher I would. Also the things on the top and bottom move and I have to keep adjusting them and the utensil holder is a problem as it breaks apart and now is permanently broken. I could live with the others things. Its the bottom basket running off the rails everyday that is challenging. LG will not resolve this issue so I live with this aggravation on a daily basis.

My wife and I purchased an LG refrigerator (model LSXS26366S/02) two years ago and we were happy with our purchase. However, four weeks ago, the refrigerator stopped working. A service technician has attempted to repair the fridge on three occasions but has been unsuccessful. The next scheduled service call is eleven days from now (July 9th). So, we will be without a refrigerator for over a month and a half!We are completely dissatisfied with LGs lackluster response to this issue as well has the service company they sent to repair the unit. Unfortunately, I cant change service companies because I was told there are no others in my area. A service technician should repair this unit on the first visit. We are so hopeful the fourth attempt to fix this unit is successful! We have 2 adults and 2 kids in our household. Living without a refrigerator in this summer heat for such a long period of time is unbearable. Im reaching out to you with the hope you can help us. If there is anything you can do to expedite the repair of our refrigerator, we would greatly appreciate it.

LG model no. WT4870CW dropped off this morning brand new. After delivery, delivery guy set up and did the programmed test run. This checks if water is supplied, if it vibrates excessively or drains. All looked fine until I did a small load of laundry which came out unclean. Then on second try, I noticed tub basin filled up all the way to the top and agitator didnt work properly. I even made comment that it was so quiet...well when agitator is not doing its job, its super quiet. After trying different cycles and settings and after motor started to smell like it was burning rubber, I called home depot. The sales man gave me a lesson in how much detergent to put in, reasons why clothes arent getting clean, and told me to unplug it, wait 3 minutes, then try again. After explaining Im 30 and know how to do laundry, I explained again about water filling up in wash cycle and agitator not working. He said he would call LG and have a new one out to us IN A WEEK. After already waiting a week and half for first new washer, still blows my mind when a sales person does not apologize for the inconvenience or broken machine THEY sold.Im under no impression LG will stop making worthless machines for a ton of money, but listen up all the peeps in customer service, KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY. SAY YOURE SORRY. DONT MAKE EXCUSES OR GET DEFENSIVE. Does the machine not working say something about you? Or is it your ego that needs to blame the customer by default? Some customers are rude but others are just like you trying to do their best to figure out a solution to the small and big obstacles they face. If you cant at least say sorry or be respectful...think about finding another job that fits you better. LG fail and Home Depot fail. Pretty disappointed.

Loved the look of this range but told salesman I wanted self clean. He said look it has Easy Clean. Not the same I found out 2 months later. Also my service book states I get grill pan for top of stove and small cleaning kit which I found out months later and was told not for my model... But the worst is my oven is chipping enamel - golf ball size chip. Also told not under warranty. This is a defect not warranty problem. So now it’s my problem to replace this part on bottom of oven. Is about $180.00 and grill pan is about 60.00 plus cleaning kit about $10.00 so I need to spend about 250.00 to get my range back to new. Remember this range is only 18 months old... My husband wanted a GE but I like how this looked. Wished I listened but won’t have this range long at this rate because it’s hard to get parts from overseas and customer service sucks and so does the company. Be WARNED!!!!!

Called back with the serial # and surprise, the known recall now requires a receipt, which I dont have 7 or so years later, and LG insists its required to make the recall fix. Is that legal? Do recalls require a receipt. This is the second LG product that has gone bad on me at my expense and NO more. LG is not a good life and I would not opt for their products ever again because as other commenters below stated, their customer service is bad. I plan to call the MA consumer products division tomorrow to confirm if a receipt is necessary for a recall, assuming there is a recall on the product as the first CS agent told me this morning. Model LMWS27626S, Production Date was Feb 2021. Bought on March 21, 2021 from Home Depot and was delivered almost a week later. 3 Days ago, noticed water began to accumulate down in the freezer section... Simply put, the fridge stopped working. Just today the technician dispatched by LG showed up and after performing his diagnostics, he told me that both the Main Board and The Compressor are bad and theyll need to be replaced. Imagine a 3 Month Old Appliance from the date of production going bad and to think weve only had this in our home for 4 weeks. This experience just gives me no confidence in the LG Brand at all, yes they are nice on the surface but trash in the inside. Now well be out of a fridge for the next week until the parts arrive. At this point I dont even want to keep this appliance in my home because I know it will break again. Here I find myself reporting ANOTHER problem with our LG refrigerator that cost almost $3000. Its the three door with the freezer door on the bottom and is supposed to be wonderful because it has a linear something or other. The freezer compressor lasted just over one year. The labor warranty had expired and the compressor was covered. It still cost me $450 for the repair. Now, about one year later, the freezer has stopped working two more times with all the frozen food thawing. Curiously, after the food thaws, the motor starts working again. This happened to me again today. Fortunately, I have an old reliable Kenmore backup in the garage. I think that LG does not deserve another customer. Expect problems from them if you dare buy one. They should definitely be OOB. OUT OF BUSINESS!

My side by side LG freezer (model LSXS26326W) which is only 2 years old has had the freezer die on it 2 times already. It makes no ice and the freezer temperature is up to 40 degrees even though it is set to 0 degrees. We have called the LG company several times but they keep repeating the same thing, Adjust the temperature. But we have adjusted the temperature several times but it does not help. We are seeing that others are complaining about a faulty compressor. I would not recommend this unit to anyone and please before buying any appliance check around and gather information to see what the best one is. I am really upset and I have lost all my meat and frozen food.

We bought our French door refrigerator Sept of 2018. Since then we have had one tech come to our home because it stopped cooling and freezing and he said that it was dirty underneath and it was only 6 months old! By the time he came out which was 3 weeks later it started running again. He unplugged it and and cleaned it and did some things to it. Since that time we have been cleaning it and changing filters every 3 months and it still has gone out 2 more times. Now I have a call into them AGAIN and they are coming out on Aug 18th and LG gave me a ref number so he doesnt charge me because NOW it is out of warranty as they say. They said to call that number and all charges will be covered. I spent over $3000.00 for this refrigerator and it is a piece of garbage! Not to mention all the food that we have lost each time it stops freezing and cooling! Please help us! This just horrible! Diane **

I purchased an over the range microwave in June 2019 but unfortunately it has already stopped working twice. Both times the microwave turns on and counts down the time but does not heat up. I would like to think it just a faulty microwave but our brand new LG refrigerator has leaked twice and caused thousands of dollars of damage to our neighbor below our condo. LG refuses to replace either appliance and insists on making the same repairs over and over again until it is deemed a unfixable manufacturing defect. I will never buy LG appliances again.

Have a LG refrigerator that is 2 1/2 years old. Warranty for parts is ten years. It stopped working 9 days ago. Called LG and they referred me to A&E Factory Service. Called and made an appointment. Looked at Google reviews and 580 reviews and a 1.1 rating. Worst was do not let them in your house. They came out, ordered three parts, had to set another 4 hour window for an appointment. After 5 1/2 hours yesterday, he said it is working and left. Checked this morning and is still warm and now vibrates loudly. So now another five hours stuck at home tomorrow while they attempt to fix it. This company is who LG uses so when not if yours breaks but when this is who you will be dealing with. This will be a total of 15 hours waiting on them and over one hour on the phone with LG.This is an independent repair company who said almost all their calls are on LG refrigerators. LG has been a total waste of time dealing with. They truly could care less about me not having a refrigerator now for two weeks even if it is fixed tomorrow which there is ZERO chance of that happening. Talking to retailers because I am buying another refrigerator and certainly not LG. Salespeople confirm this is a common situation. Was referred to LG Executive Services who will not call me back. You have been warned. The repair company did state because of their known issues with repairs that I would get a one time free repair meaning would not have to pay for labor. If that is not a red flag.

Clothes come out dirtier than when they go in! I have the problem that many others have: ashy-colored residue on black/dark clothing. Today, Im now getting ashy-colored stains on my white clothing. Ive not been able to figure out if this happens after washing dark clothes, white clothes, hot, cold, or ??? Ive not been able to discern out a pattern for it. So far, I cant avoid it. Ive read the reviews and LG comes back and asks for private messages instead of making solutions public. How do I contact LG so they can give me the washing experience they want me to receive?

I purchased an LG Easy Clean microwave in 2014. The unit wasn’t exactly cheap but I figured I’d invest in a better quality unit. Recently (2018) I noticed the smell of burning and sparking coming from the unit. I opened the door and noticed that the inside lower left corner was physically melted??? I have never experienced anything like this with any other microwave in my life. Obviously I felt this was a safety issue and an obviously defective microwave.I called LG and jumped through all their hoops, providing them photos etc. They were supposed to call me back (they didn’t). When I called back I was told that they only offer a 1 yr warranty and the fact that I got 4 yrs out of it was good. Umm, a melted door is good??? Long story short, LG told me I can try to find someone to repair it but it will be costly and recommended I buy a new one. Yup, after only 4 yrs. I asked if a “MELTED DOOR” was particularly concerning to LG? He said no, it’s 4 years old. Umm, well I guess it had a good run in LG’s eyes. I’ll never buy from LG or any affiliate again. WOW!??

I have had this LG FRENCH DOOR LFX31945ST refrigerator less than a year. It has been noisy since they delivered it but when I brought it up to the tech that had come back to replace the freezer door b/c of discoloration....he made it sound as though the compressors just make more noise in the new ones. So I thought, ok... I will give it some time... Well, as time went on, the noise got louder and louder. I can actually hear it buzzing and whining over my television in the Living Room (so many random noises off and on thru day, I couldnt possibly describe them all). So I call servicing dealer back and tell them still loud and seems to be constantly running. I also discovered while I was researching others complaints that there has been a problem with back wall icing up, so I looked and yes back wall completely iced over.Tech said he hadnt heard of any of these being problems, but Then he heard noise and saw ice. So he ordered new back panel, defrost control and module. When parts came in, he replaced everything. Less than 8 days later, still whining and other noises and now developed a bad smell/very bad smell that when fridge was opened would take over entire kitchen and living room area. By the time tech comes, the smell is not detectable b/c it dissipates over time, only to come back randomly. He denotes no problem found b/c noises werent as loud as they can be when he is here, even though I still think its louder than it s/b. At this point we are very frustrated to spend this kind of money and have so many problems is sickening. Problems continue and I call again, service comes out and back wall icing over again. Tech hears the loud noises (high pitch whine has become a constant, loud sounding fans and an occasional clunky sound) and the SMELL is back. Tech now has witnessed everything. He gets on phone w/ LG and he is told we must have introduced the smell. REALLY! I know we have not but we are advised to try charcoal like for a fish tank filter. I tell the tech that Im concerned b/c warranty is up in June and how do I know if he reorders everything hes replaced once that it wont continue to be a problem later. It had to be an inherent problem and what is LG gonna do about it. I feel they should extend warranty or give me replacement fridge. He did his best to tell LG that they need to do something more... Their solution is its fixable so they reorder everything again (back panel, defrost control and module main). I call customer service to voice my concerns and ask about extending warranty, to ensure this problem actually gets fixed. I am read some script that is obviously told to every customer and the Supervisor I spoke with was not nice. He had a nasty disposition and offered me no resolutions. He just made me angrier. So parts arrived and another tech comes to install the parts. It has been around 9 days and guess what? SMELL is back, noises are worse than they were before this last service call and ice is beginning to build up on the back wall again. So here we go again. I am going to call again, wait again to be notified morning of service call and given a 2-hr window of when they will be here (so I cant plan anything for that day b/c no specific time for service call). Another day wasted, more aggravation and I am fairly confident the problem wont be resolved. Instead I will be advised to purchase an additional warranty coverage since mine expires in June. I am not looking forward to complaining to customer service again b/c, well Ive seen how they treat customers and their philosophy is the customer is always a nuisance and they wont help me at all. So here we go, I will place call and waste another day. Do yourself a favor and dont buy this product, no matter how much you love the lighting, the door in door feature and the versatility of the shelves inside... Trust me - not worth the headache. Oh and not real stainless steel.

The LG washer started making oil spots in our clothes. I learned from a friend who is a technician to apply DAWN dishwasher liquid to the spots and let soak. After washing, if the spots come out, its from the machine. I have to clean my machine once a month with a commercial cleaner that is expensive to use. The problem with the washer is that all the cycles except for the towel, bulky items, and large loads do not use enough water to get the soap out of the clothes. The so-called water saving modes are causing the spots. LG tech service is of no help. The LG dryer lint tray compacts the lint so if you dont clean inside the lint trap, the tray will not go all the way down. I had several clothes that were torn because of this. I will never buy another LG appliance again!

Everything about this stove is fine except for the front burner grids. Some fancy designer who has never cooked on a stove in his life decided that it would LOOK GOOD if the front burner grates curved in to match the shape of the griddle. It leaves a big gap on the outer corner of the stove and I ran into the frying pan handle and the pan and all of its hot bacon grease contents went flying across my kitchen. I thought I was being more careful when I hit the handle of a pot of hot stew and it went flying across the kitchen. You must keep your children out of the kitchen when using these front burners. THIS IS A HUGE HAZARD! DO NOT BUY AN LG STOVE WITH GRIDDLE IN THE MIDDLE.

We just purchased an LG kitchen package including the glass top electric LG range with knobs on the front (LSE4613/LSE4611) and had it delivered on 7/11/20. We have had it in our home for one week and weve accidentally turned the front knobs on multiple times by reaching into the microwave, cleaning the back splash, or reaching above into a cabinet. The knobs should not be that easy to turn. They are a push and turn style knob. We went back to the store to begin an exchange process for a model with the knobs in the back, but we are very disappointed because we like the appearance of this style much better. We are shocked by how easy it is to turn these knobs and really dont want to have to resort to ugly child proofing on our brand new appliances. Is there a better option?

Our new (under 2 year old side by side fridge/freezer) stopped cooling. I tried doing the smart diagnostic app and it said it was working fine. I tried to make sure doors were sealing fine, they were. I called LG. They said it might of done an auto defrost. I was told to unplug it and it would reset it that temp would return to normal in 12 hours. We woke up the next day to a flooded floor. All food in freezer was defrosted. Refrigerator was at 65*. I did the smart diagnosis again. It said it was fine. Called LG and sent them the diagnosis and they said to unplug and wait 6 hours. I lost all food and temp Kept dropping. I was told to put food in coolers. Most was trashed. I was told they could send a repair person in 2 weeks!!! I did the best I could with food in coolers but lost it all. LG was not helpful.A repair person came out earlier than quoted and it seemed to be working (known compressor failure) yet now temp is plummeting again. At this point I just want a full refund to buy a new non LG fridge. I’m hoping temp increases, yet I just emptied ice so hopefully if it fails it won’t ruin my new floor. I just bought food to replace the food lost. I have no other fridge at my home. 4 days and it’s not working again. Reading all these reviews makes me sad that this brand is allowed to sell these products and hold hard working families like mine hostage.

I had a an old Kenmore dishwasher that lasted some 20+ years. It worked great but after so much use (twice a day!), I had to replace this n that on it but overall it was awesome! The end came when we were no longer able to buy the electronic board to operate (most of the repairs/replacement we did on our own, following the schematics and watching Youtube video instructions). Alas, finally, it died and the search was on for a new dishwasher. I read many reviews and settled on the LG. That was my first mistake. The LG was installed 6.18.18 (model #LDT7808ST). I was very excited to have a new, modern dishwasher after all these years! It was sadly short lived. Just a few short months later, I was sick of hearing the bing bing bing that goes off to alert the user of escaping steam. Except there wasnt any escaping steam. When the repairman came out ($150), he told me it was a problem with this model in that the steam created was leeching into the electronics and causing the board to short out, thus the bing bing bing noises. He replaced the board with a newly designed board to alleviate this issue that LG knew about. Finally the sound stopped and all was well. Except a few months later the binging began again. During the interim, I found on two different occasions, small chunks of black rubber. Now what?? I searched inside the dishwasher but couldnt find anything...until yesterday. Now I realize its part of the cowling that feeds water inside the tub. Unfortunately in order to see exactly whats going on with it, I have to figure out how to remove the lower water arm. And because this cowling has become unstable, its blocking the arm from turning freely. So now I have a lower armature that is half-way turning and binging and bonging and dishes that are being poorly washed. COLOR ME DONE! DO NO BUY THIS BRAND DISHWASHER!! I paid over $1,000 and its falling apart after a year and a half. LG brags that the motor has a ten year warranty. That is little value when the rest of the machine is falling apart before a year is even over!

You would think with only 3 people in the house that a washer (WM2487HRM) would last longer than 8 years! My washers final load stopped on the rinse cycle and would not finish. I tried resetting the wash load by pressing the rinse/spin button thinking it was just a temporary problem and still would not work. Now all it does is make a loud rumbling sound. I called Customer Service and they told me that the rumbling sound was either the rotor or a bearing. This isnt the only problem Ive had with this beautiful, red W/D set. About 5 years ago the wiring in the back of the dryer started smoking. Thankfully we were home otherwise the house would have burned down. Purchased 02/2020. 1st failures occurred within 30 days. Icemaker and compressor replaced by LG tech. Worked fine until 11/21 when we found unit dead. Unplugged to check outlet. Outlet okay, plugged back in and heard a ZAP and smelled smoke. Contacted LG support and they assigned ticket and said a local company would repair. Contacted local company and they said they had refused the request from LG because LG doesnt pay them. Contacted LG again and they started a new repair ticket. I think they keep changing the ticket numbers so it appears they dont take too long to react. So far they have assigned a total of 10 repair tickets/customer service numbers. LG eventually sent an LG tech on 12/8. They had also shipped 3 different parts directly to me, but only 2 had arrived before tech showed up. He said the missing one was the needed control board and I should text him when it arrived. It arrived on 12/14 and I texted the tech. He said he no longer worked for LG and I would have to start over again. Still waiting on LG support to locate someone willing to perform the warranty repair. 3+weeks without a working refrigerator is ridiculous! I will never purchase any LG products in the future. I have three LG appliances and I have major problem with all.My microwave shelf makes contact with the oven wall because of too much play with shelf brackets and because the shelf should be smaller that what it is. It burned a line through to the metal and arced sparks. I wrote to the company service on the LG website but they did not reply. Today I called LG. The company representative said that it was no longer covered with warranty. I stressed that it was a safety issue and a design flaw. I switched to a supervisor who did not budge from that stand. I explained that it has been that way since day one but I had been very careful, that I always pull the shelf to the most forward position. Of course, as it should be safe for everyone. She said that she could have someone repair it at my expense. I said this was not acceptable. She then said I should buy microwave paint at the hardware store to fix the oven before using it again and not to operate it in the future with the shelf in, some solution! She also said the manual explains when to remove the shelf. I asked if it says never to use the shelf since that would be the only way to avoid the problem. She acknowledged that it did not. I reminded her of the light relay fire issue that they had with their refrigerators and that LG avoided the responsibility for that for about 4 years. Online reports made it clear that they only started to cover the repair recently on the 2005 models. I also made note of the problem with the leaking of the water through the seam between the two panels on the front of the dishwasher. She noted my problem but again, she said that it was off the warranty, but that she would send someone to my home to repair it at my expense. Again, this problem exists since day one. Someone needs to make these people responsible for their products. The refrigerator incident could have burnt my house down. Heaven knows what damage the toxic fumes from the microwave could cause.

Within months of buying our LG refrigerator, the fake stainless steel finish started coming off the handles. Now the handles looked worn and shabby. I called a repairman and had them replaced with new handles. These lasted just about a year, and then the fake stainless finish started coming off again. They look terrible ...scratchy, peeling, shabby ... just makes the refrigerator look awful. Same thing is happening to the outside covering on the door ice dispenser. Not only that, the ice maker will suddenly stop producing ice. Then we just have to wait until it decides to start working again. Sometimes its a few days ...other times a week or two. I hate this refrigerator and will not ever buy LG again. We are in the process of replacing this refrigerator. While looking around, I see LG still has not upgraded their handles to real stainless steel. (At least, they should offer an upgrade, or free replacements.) The handles cost almost $200 each with tax. You will be sad and embarrassed by how this looks in your kitchen within a few months.

I chose this fridge because it got good ratings with Consumer Reports. They must not read these reviews! Our experience was similar to others here. The fridge worked great for 18 months and then the freezer quit. First local authorized agent was not up to the task and walked away after wasting three weeks of our time. Second agent, an hour distant, did get the compressor replaced (bravo!), but by then we had been down for 38 days. It took many phone calls. Although the young people who answer at LG were friendly and tried to help, it was frustrating to hear the life is good recording with each call as the days kept passing. LG did cover the repair cost.It has now been five months and so far everything is fine. But I wonder if this compressor, which Im told is the same model as the defective one, is likely to fail in another year or so. And will they cover the cost again? And will it take a month again? Another concern is the cost to the environment of these new high efficiency appliances which apparently have a much shorter service life than the old models.

Purchased Lsc5683ws electric range from Goemans Appliances, Cambridge in January 2010. Cost was $1650++. Electrics failed in October 2013. Paid $175.00 for service call and repair. Three weeks later exact same problem. It was fixed again. Used the self clean for the 3rd time only. After completion noticed the blue enamel was coming off. Also had a very strong smell when turned on. March 2015 unit shut down completely. No electronics again, but this time the oven kept heating. Guessing temperature was over 500 degrees. Had to unplug at wall to cut power supply. Feeling very vulnerable to starting a fire. Spent approximately 2-3 hours on phone with LG customer service in the Philippines. Was cut off twice. Uploaded required invoice as requested. Phoned again 2 days later. Sent invoice again. Still waiting on response from advanced team as to what (if anything) they will do for me. Returned to store for help, but they offer no help unless you have purchased their extra insurance. This situation is appalling to me. Do not buy LG. What a waste of money and time.

The dry sensor is in the lint filter which is so narrow there is no way to clean it properly, it gets clogged easily so the sensor can’t tell if clothes are dry or wet and she told me that it was a problem anyway with larger or smaller loads, wtf? My sensor was not even dirty then. I have tried cleaning the filter case and it is impossible, it is too narrow to get my small hands in and too narrow for any of the numerous vacuum attachments I have tried. This is the worst design I have ever seen in my life!!!!I called for service finally with an extended plan with PC Richard and they were terrible.. Poop had gotten in the dryer and was in the filter case and he refused to remove the whole thing or even show me how to do it. He stuck a brush in and then turned it on and huge amounts of stuff went into the exit pipe, but it is still full of gunk and lint. He was not able to clean it properly with a brush either or just couldn’t be bothered.I wish I had returned immediately and bought a Speed Queen which will be my next dryer. I will never buy an LG product ever again and I may not purchase at PC Richard again either. Neither is helping at all yet with this situation. LG offered to send their own tech out after I demanded to speak with a supervisor, but she said I would be charged if they determined it was not a mechanical, etc. issue. Well, guess what, it IS a mechanical issue because of your crappy design. This is a terrible design flaw and the company does not stand behind their product and now apparently neither does PC Richard who we have purchased everything from for years.

On September 6th, my wife and I felt a Jarring motion in our home. It was almost like an earthquake. I went to investigate and found my LG washer had spun out of control and had put a 6 inch dent in our wall and had also hit the LG Dryer next to it and did considerable damage to it. Since the machine was about a year old we contacted LG. Within days they sent out a technician, who took pictures of the damage and forwarded them to LG. He also unplugged the machine and locked it so we could not use it. For the next month and a half we contact LG on what they would do. After about 10 phone calls with questions about what is the serial #, which the tech sent them the first day, to where did you buy it and do you have a receipt. Again all info they track as the manufacturer. They did refer us to a Mr. ** who did respond to emails, But it wasnt his department. We finally contacted the Presidents Office and that got a response now they are offering a free repair or a discount on a new unit. Nothing about the $300 worth of damage to our wall or the extensive damage to the dryer unit. The whole process seems to be designed to have you stay on hold until you give up and dealing with people with a poor understanding of English, to pointing you to the wrong people. We are 45 days later and now the President is involved. Hopefully we will get our repairs soon.

I requested for LG to come and fix my refrigerator since the 15th of June. It is over 2 weeks and I am still waiting for an answer. I would advise that no one should ever buy any appliance from LG. Their customer service is terrible. I do not wish for anyone to live for one month without a refrigerator. Now they are telling me that I will hear back in 20 more days. I wish they go out of business for good for lying to customers...

Almost the perfect range, it has everything you need or want. Unfortunately, it has a very dangerous design flaw. When anyone bumps against a burner knob, a burner turns on (normally on high). We recently had a situation where a glass baking dish was taken out of the oven and placed on the stove top. Someone accidentally bumped a knob, turning on the burner to high, where the glass dish was at. When my wife noticed the burner was on, she turned it off and tried moving the glass baking dish off of the burner, when the dish suddenly exploded. I contacted LG. I was told to buy the child safety cover for $30.00. This is a VERY expensive appliance. We shouldnt have buy something to make it safe when it should be safe to use in the first place. Think very carefully before purchasing this appliance.
