Product Reviews:

We purchased an LG refrigerator with bottom double freezer and french doors
We purchased an LG refrigerator with bottom double freezer and french doors in 2011. Four years in - we had trouble with the food thawing in the freezer and ice maker stopped working. A repairman through LG came out and did a repair and fixed it. As soon as the warranty was up (Jan 2016) it happened again. We were given a choice - pay $294.50 for a 1x visit and 60 days coverage of the same issue or $444.05 for 1 year warranty for any problem.Since we figured this was a big problem, we went with the $444. The repairman came again and flushed the system - started working again. 5 months later the same thing happened - he replaced the compressor. Still under warranty. Warranty expired in July 2017 - Oct 2017 the same thing happened. LG will not do anything about it because its not under warranty even though its the same problem from the beginning. Now Im faced with a non working refrigerator and a decision of paying a huge amount to get it fixed or moving on from a 6 year old refrigerator. Never will buy LG again.

I have 4-year old front load LG washing machine. The door is either wide open or it is locked shut. I hate having to keep the door wide open and if you leave it shut, it stinks! I FINALLY FOUND A SOLUTION - a new product called FRONT LOAD FRESH cost ME ONLY $12.95. Front Load Fresh is a bracket I purchased on Etsy through Simple Life products; it partially holds open any front load washing machine door. Finally my laundry room looks nice and my washing machine no longer stinks. By the way they also have top load Fresh - a bracket to hold open top load washing machines for $12.95 on Etsy.

I bought an LG large capacity washer and dryer 6 years ago. I paid over $1600 for the pair at Home Depot. There are only 3 in my family so I dont have a lot of laundry like some larger families do. Just recently, my washer had a smell like something was on fire and making a banging noise. I called the LG repair service and a rep came out to take a look. He told me that the bearings were wearing out on the tub and to fix it, they would have to change the whole tub for about $450. Seriously! They just dont make products like they used to. I will never buy an LG product again.

This is a follow-up to my first complaint. We sent in the serial number lab
This is a follow-up to my first complaint. We sent in the serial number label and paperwork stating that we would not hold LG responsible for a hush money settlement of $264.00. The offer had expired while we were pursuing our legal options, so we called and talked to a gal named Courtney who said, “No problem. Send in the paperwork and we will honor the cash hush payment originally offered.” We received a phone call today from a person named Sunyung who originally had made the offer. She informed us that now the offer had gone down to $194.00, because Courtney had no authority to authorize a hush payout. Then, she proceeded to complain and tell me that communication between the people in customer service wasnt what it should be. I told her that sounded like an internal problem and I was not being paid to listen to her and try to figure out how the communication could be rectified within her department! I asked to speak to her superior, and she gave me to Michael. Michael told me that yes, the part was warrantied, but I got one of the small percentage of refrigerators that were unfixable, basically the lemon model, and thats just how the ball bounces. They still would not honor the warranty and told me since the fridge was now a month older, it was worth $70.00 less! This thing hasnt worked for 9 months! I think I will just wait for the class action suit that I am sure will be coming up in the next few years when a lawyer gets a hold of this and wants to make some easy money. I dont care if I get only an 18 cents payout. It is now the principle of the situation. I did tell Michael he could be president with all his doublespeak and asked him why they want to beat their customers up so badly. First, they lie about their warranties; then, they offer you hush money; then, they renege on that. No ethics with these people. Obviously, they have no faith in God because this is just not how you treat people. Life sometimes just isnt fair. This is one of those times.

PROBLEM DATE 6/1/18, PURCHASE DATE 2/12/17, PAYMENT AMOUNT 2,432.59. Purchased the LG Refrigerator from SEARS in 2017. Contacted LG at 1-800-243-0000 on 6/1/18 at 9:57 AM about the fridge not freezing/cooling. LG offered a warranty # APN & service # RNN. LG said someone would contact me to setup an appointment for someone to look at the fridge. No one called. I called LG again on 6/2/18 @ 10:09 AM. They said someone would contact me on Monday. I called Tuesday, 6/5/18 @ 5:24 PM because no one had called me. They said it was being sent to the Search Team and someone would contact me in 5 business days. No one called. I called on 6/14/18 @ 8:52 AM. They said someone would be calling me because it had not been 5 business days yet. No one called me. I called again on 6/15/18 @ 8:22 AM they said JCS Technology would be contacting me to setup an appointment. And a new # was assigned. RNN. I was reminded that parts and labor would be covered. We contacted JCS Technology because no one had setup an appointment. There was no answer. I called LG and they said they had an appointment setup for 6/18/18 between 8 AM and 12 PM. No one called or showed up to look at the fridge on 6/18/18. I contacted LG again 6/18/18 @ 1156. They said that JCS would reschedule the appointment. Which was for 6/23/18 between 8 AM and 12 PM. We contacted JCS Technology to make sure someone was showing up. We got a text msg from JCS Technology stating Hi we wont be coming. They will be assigning you to another service center. Sorry for the inconvenience. They got the order mixed up. That was sent on 6/23/18 @ 10:15 AM. I contacted LG again on 6/23/18 @ 10:18 AM and they said they are sending it to their Search Team and it would be 5 business days before we hear anything. I want someone out here to look at the refrigerator. I offered to find someone to look at the fridge and they said they have a search team for that. It will be another 5 days. To sum it up, I have continued to call LG and I continue to be told it will be another 5 days. I have also been told that they have expedited this for me and that I would get a call within 48 hours. I did not get a call. I called again to only be told another 5 days. Today is July 9, 2018. Not a single Tech has been sent to even look at the fridge. I asked LG to let me find someone to look at the fridge, let me pay for it and then LG can reimburse me. LG said that is not listed in their policy and they can not do that...

I THOUGHT I did proper research on dependability, etc., but boy was I wrong. After one week of use, the circuit board on the front-load washer went out. I called LG and the (2) reps I spoke with spoke VERY broken English, gave me a case # and told me to call a local appliance service for repair. That service took 10 days to get to my house, looked at it for less than 5 minutes, was rude and asked what we expected him to do as we had the units stacked (appropriately per the manual), said he needed to order a circuit board and would be back in touch. A week later, no word, I called the service facility and they now scheduled for yet another week out - three to four weeks for a repair? We previously had Maytag and Whirlpool front loads, left them at houses we sold, and are sooo sorry we didnt go back - LOVED our previous units, especially the Maytags, and it was local, English-speaking service. RUN AWAY FROM THE LG DISPLAYS...

Unbalanced Flaw UE - LG Front Loader Extra Capacity - Paid way too much to get extra capacity - would love to have my basic front loader back! Extra capacity is worthless if you cant get the load to spin & finish because of the UE code. Ive had to throw away pillows I washed. No problem in my last machine, because this way overpriced LG wouldnt spin it - not alone, not with other items, not after being wrung out, hung to drip dry, not on low spin - NOTHING. The True Balancer is a joke - it is directly causing the problem. What good is an EXTRA CAPACITY washing machine, if you cant wash more than a normal load in it anyway? The time Ive wasted standing in front of this machine, hoping *this time* it would spin, rebalancing items by hand - makes me sick to think how much we paid for this piece of junk. Good luck with customer service - they said there is no recall even though there is post after post of the same UE complaint, and they *might* call me back once the customer service person logs my complaint. Never asked me for any contact info so Im not sure how that will happen...

On 10/12/2015 we purchased a 46 LG 30 CF 4 DR Refrigerator from Sears. It was delivered and set up around the 21st of the same month. Once set up we noticed scratches in both doors and a couple weeks later were replaced. Because we were having things completed in kitchen, it was unplugged and not used till the beginning of January 2016 at which point everything was fine with this $3000.00 plus refrigerator. On September 1st we got home from work and opened the refrigerator and noticed that everything in there was hot. So being a holiday weekend, we waited till Monday to call Sears where it was purchased to have a repair person come to fix it. A week later the man came and said it was the compressor and he would have to order the parts. Sounds good until we are told it would be close to three weeks to get the parts. OK so we wait the night before the repair man is to come we call and ask him if he received the compressor as we had not. He calls the parts place and they are having trouble finding the parts and it will be another 3 to 4 weeks to get the part in if they even come in. At this point we have been without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks and have been told it could be another month. So we were so mad that we called LG directly and explained what had happened and was told by a customer service rep if we got our receipt showing when we purchased it they would replace it. Ok on the phone for hours getting everything they need the next day we scan everything to them and are told it is our problem and they will not help us. That was a 1 year and 10 month old item. We explained that it was not used until 4 months after we purchased it. However they did not care. LG has the rudest people that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We also went back to Sears and was told they could not help us either as they have to wait on the parts and they are not sure when they will get them. Ok so you go out and purchase an appliance and it is not to last over 1 year? This is crazy. All the reviews that I have read also say that it is the compressor that is the problem so at this point no one can help any of us with this problem. This does not seem too fair. Also, the stores that are selling the LG products knowing that there are all of these complaints and service calls for the same thing. How can companies still sell these items that only work for a year or two and then tell you you’re on your own. LG is not standing by their products and this is very sad that they are allow to get away with this. If this was a car dealer there would be recalls and the problem would be fixed for free, why is LG allow to get away with this and do this to honest working people. We are asking for help from LG and would appreciate hearing from someone who cares about Customer Service not selling poor products and then telling us they can’t help.

I purchased a $3,000 refrigerator from LG. It looks beautiful. From the first month, I have had nothing but problems. I was so glad I bought extended warranty. Unfortunately, the warranty is useless because even the replacements become problems within a few months. This company has extremely poor quality products and extremely poor customer service. I have had an ongoing issue with mold growing on the inside of a piece of plastic on the front of the shelves. The company, without even coming out, told me it was not their problem. The company repairman came out to repair the perpetually broken ice-maker and told me the black line was due to inferior quality Korean plastic. He said it would only come back so he couldnt replace it. Then came an odor which would not go away even though my fridge was immaculate. This odor then took over the ice and water and even with the replacement, the water and ice are unusable because of the taste. The mold has to be coming from within the plastic. I have broken this plastic front piece due to putting Clorox on it every few months. But it continues to grow back. This is a potential health risk. The company refuses to even replace the piece of plastic that had to be pried apart in order to put Clorox in the mold. This is not normal, especially since there is nothing in my fridge most of the time. Be very careful and check this company out before purchasing. I have spent so much time waiting for repairmen only to have them tell me that the problems are not under warranty or that it is something not repairable.

We upgraded to LG appliances 7 years ago. The Linear Compressor just stopped working. LG will provide a replacement Linear Compressor but will not cover the $600 cost for labor or the $350 for the refrigerated food spoilage. LG is aware they sold, and continue to sell, these refrigerators with Linear Compressors that fail after a few short years after purchase. If you are considering purchasing any LG products, think again and spend your hard earned money on a reputable brand. Do your research. I am so upset and disgusted.

A few years ago I purchased new appliances. A refrigerator, stove and over the range microwave. I had an appliance technician that LG had the fewest repair calls so I went with that company when purchasing. Well in the first year the microwave had to be repaired. The glass stop stove after a year and a half has 2 burners not working and now my refrigerator decided to stop working during the worst time possible. I called the warranty company and because of the pandemic they are not doing any house repairs. I was told to think out of the box or go buy a new one. Now I do have an old refrigerator in the garage but with 8 people living in my home that is not enough room, especially when we need to stock up so we dont go out as often. So for now I am SOL until the virus is over and repair people can start working again. I will NEVER BUY LG appliances again and tell all of our friends the same thing.

The thermistor of my 3 years and 9-month old LG LFC25770st stainless, french door, $1799 fridge overheated and died. LG no longer makes this defective part. So instead of a $150 to repair, I will need $1100 to replace. I only need to spend $1100 to replace since they are generously pro-rating my fridge at $700. Did I also mention my matching LG stainless microwave died after less than three years? All my non-LG appliances that I got at the same time are still working fine, and so is the $37 countertop microwave we have been using as a replacement for the last year. Stay away from LG products.

Updated on 12/25/2020: DO NOT BUY LG UNTIL YOU READ THIS. 2ND COMPLAINT. LG has not followed up on resolving issue with our LG refrigerator as Promised. They have not responded to emails and only way to contact is through Consumer Affairs. We used unit 53 days and broke down. LG says not repairable and have to Reorder a New unit 11/20/2020, with a delivery date 1/25/2021. Louis, webmaster for LG, assured within 10 business days it would be resolved. I filed complaint 12/5/20, called 12/23/20 because LG has not contacted me. Ashley at LG stated that Claim and Case WAS NOT Submitted nor processed and have to resubmit and wait another 10 business days for their response, if any. LG wants us to follow up if they dont contact us after 1/3/2021. UNBELIEVABLE! We have not used our LG Refrigerator since 10/28/2020, look how long LG has Procrastinated in resolving issue. LG will not contact us, follow up or make our case a PRIORITY as Louis stated it was. When LG states on 12/23/2020 they have to resubmit claim because of their error and we have to follow up ourselves is disturbing. I am sorry to write a 2nd review, but again, LG will not contact us accept through this site. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE RESOLUTION PROCESS. All we want is our LG Refrigerator that we bought and paid for. Is this asking to much from LG?Original Review: Terrible Customer Service and Quality of 2020 LG Counter Depth French. Received on 9/3/2020. Broke down, No power at unit, on 10/28/2020. It took LG 19 days to inspect after missing 3 LG scheduled repairs appointments that LG set up for us. LG opened 5 Customer Concern Reports and Three Different Repair Orders. Refrigerator not repairable and none in stock through Home Depot. We had to Reorder another LG unit and paid extra for an ESP plan to protect ourselves, $195.00 dollars for an ESP plan to Protect ourselves. LG promised delivery 1/25/2021, UNBLIEVEABLE. Home Depot tried to elevate our New Order, 11/20/2020, but with no help from LG. Home Depot would rather upset an American Customer than upset LG, a South Korean Company, who lacks American Values, Culture, Empathy and Ethics. LG should provide FREE 5 year ESP plan with units to Prove that LG has Trust and Confidence in their Products.

We purchased LFC25760SB Refrigerators in July 2007. It has been working just fine until recently. We noticed the lights were out on the Refrigerator section and when I removed the cover to see what size and shape they were, the light bulbs were very hot. After one month, I noticed that clothes and shoes smelled. Simple physics: you cant wash dirty clothes in less water and less detergent. LG 2350 front load washer does not rinse out the detergent from the clothes nor cleans them that well. Then the dryer dries that smell into the clothes. You perspire and your business colleagues say, “What’s that smell?” and you have to explain. Buy new clothes and shoes. I work far away from home that my skin got so irritated because of the detergent issue in the clothes. I got rashes and itched deep into my skin, leaving scars. The Best Buy rep came after I complained so much. He suggested we put clean load in wash on sanitary. The washer started sudding up with no detergent added and I have it on video. LG says there’s nothing wrong with their unit. They are liars—look at all these complaints!

Wednesday 25th of May my refrigerator stopped working. Both refrigerator and freezer part. I called the 800 number on owners manual that came with the refrigerator and was told I had to either pay over $200 or $399 for 1 year extra insurance because they could not find my registration card and could not tell me when I bought it. So I paid the $399 thinking someone would come out and look at the fridge. I was informed that no one could come until the following Wednesday because it was a holiday weekend. The repairman came on Tuesday and informed my husband that the freon system was not properly cleaned before installation causing the freon to leak or evaporate from the system, causing the entire coolant system to malfunction. According the repairman this was done during the assembly process. He had to order a part and would take a few days to get. We waited a week and had to call LG back to get the repairmans number and find out what was taking so long. We were informed that the part is on back order and will not be available until after the 15th of June. At no time did the repairman call and inform us of this development. I have two small children in my home and cannot keep fresh foods available for them. I will not recommend an LG appliance to anyone. The customer service sucks and the phone center could give a damn. They could not tell me when we purchased the refrigerator but when my husband called they told him it was purchased in December 2014. This will be 18+/- days without a refrigerator and the weather so far has been in the high 80s.

In 2003, we purchased an LG refrigerator. Its top of the line. Immediately after, the ice maker got jammed. Getting ice out is a big problem. Now, 7 years later, the water line is splitting. It ruined our wood floor. It happened because water is seeping. My husband tried to fix it, but the line kept splitting. The LG customer service person said that because my husband didnt save the piece he tried to replace it with, they couldnt help us. We had to shut off our water line to the fridge. I was elated when I received the long overdue recall letter from LG! But much to my dismay, the recall repair has made a bad thing worse. I immediately called LG to schedule such repair and after the first visit, the machine has lost its track of time as well as the continuation of the UE error activity. Now a 35-minute speed wash can last all day if you do not babysit the machine and catch it before it starts ANOTHER rinse on the spin cycle. To top the matter off, the repair company sent by LG, Infinity Solutions, out of Irving Texas cannot keep a scheduled appointment! I have now missed 2 days of work by staying home to meet someone who does not show up. The excuses are unending. I will probably have to do the same thing as a previous dissatisfied customer proclaimed. Buy a cheaper washer and store this one until a lawyer can get some results. I cannot sell this 3-year-old machine to anyone in good conscience and I am sorry LG could.

I purchased an LG French-door refrigerator in November, 2010, from Home Depot for $1198. Earlier this week I came home to puddles of water in my kitchen as the refrigerator compressor died resulting in my losing about a couple hundred dollars-worth of food. I called LG customer service, gave my model number and was told by their representative that the compressor was under warranty and I would only have to pay for labor. I was then provided with the numbers of two LG approved repair services. I had one service come out today and charge me $95 to confirm it is the compressor that no longer works, and let me know that labor cost to repair would be $650. That is pretty high so I called LG customer service again because my friend had the same thing happen to her LG refrigerator 3 weeks ago (what a coincidence) and it cost her $250 in labor, a big difference from $450. Turns out LG can send out one of their repair technicians who can do the repair for a total of $375. I do not know why this wasnt offered from the beginning and why I was directed to an independent repair service that costs almost double, but that is a sub-issue. What was truly upsetting was that it was at this time that the customer service representative told me that my refrigerator is actually not under warranty and that I would have to pay for parts and labor. If I had been told this from the beginning then I would have not have had the repair person come out and waste $95. I would have just gone directly to buying a new refrigerator, which is what I am left to do now because the cost of labor and parts will be near $1,000. So in sum, I spent nearly $1,200 on an LG refrigerator to last me less than 8 years and, to add insult to injury, I then spent an additional $95 for a repair call on the bad information provided by the LG customer service center. I asked LG if they would reimburse me for this and they refused. What makes the whole situation even worse is that I see that there was a class action lawsuit over the LG compressor failures, so this is a known issue to LG. Obviously LG is not standing behind its products and its customer service is sub-par. I will not be purchasing LG items ever again and this includes not only appliances but also mobile devices, televisions, audio and computers. I wanted to share this by sharing this experience so others can avoid similar losses.

We loved this fridge for about the first 3 months. Then the optional second ice maker that we purchased would take a week to fill. We were told the air temp in AZ was too hot for the fridge to produce ice any faster!! Really, how stupid do you think we are? We have had at least 10 visits to repair this issue and now the upper part of the fridge is fluctuating from 30-42 degrees when set at 37. We are losing food to spoilage and freezing. We are paying for all the spoilage. The battle continues to have this fridge operate as it should. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING. I will not buy LG again.

LG Electric Range- LRE30453ST. After using the self-cleaning feature in the oven, I noticed the interior looked as if it had been chipped or scratched. I then found pieces of the enamel on the oven floor. I called LG to complain. They asked me to send them pictures of the oven. After emailing them the pictures, they came back, said that it was out of warranty and I did not purchase an extended warranty. Their conclusion was that the chipping was caused by owner neglect. I was fuming since I did not do anything to cause this. I only used the self-cleaner. I asked to speak to someone in a higher position and was told that they were the highest I could go. I preceded to inform them that I would not take that as an answer. I still have the pieces of enamel that came off. I told them that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau and anyone else I knew to report this and they told me, to go ahead.Im stuck with an appliance that I wonder whether it is safe or not. I have a 10-year old stove whose oven looks 100 times better than this one. Unfortunately, I purchased a LG refrigerator and dish washer to match. I have been dissatisfied with dishwasher since day one, a hard pill to swallow.

Where to start... Loading this is awkward. Nothing fits easily without having to adjust the racks. The silverware holder is flimsy and falls apart every time you pull it out. I had to zip ties ours together. It takes more than 2 hours to run a Normal wash. And unless you washed everything before loading, the chances of the load being 100 percent clean is slim to none. You have a better chance of George Clooney and Brad Pitt washing and drying your dishes by hand than you do of getting a clean load out of this machine! You have to use liquid soap. Pods wont dissolve in this machine. Theres a filter. A pain-in-the-butt filter, with a Rubber washer that is to be emptied and cleaned every few days. Plus the spray arms clog.Often... THIS MACHINE REQUIRES MORE MAINTENANCE THAN A BEVERLY HILLS HOUSEWIFE!!! And like a RHOBH, it does NOT work! This is a perfect machine for a Newlywed couple who is despised by a frenemy or scorned mother in law. This machine will drive a newlywed insane. Night after night of unclean dishes. This is the kind of machine that will give a new wife an eating disorder... If you buy this machine, your spouse will not only question your thought process about this purchase, but he will question you. And why he ever dumped Susan for you. He will question all of his life choices with you after a few weeks with this purchase. This machine is that bad. Im serious. I would not buy this machine for Eva Braun as a wedding present. I wouldnt wish it on her. Dont. Just dont.

We also bought the top load model 4801 and it was defective out of the box. It shredded (snagged) several items of clothing (shirts, sheets, etc.). LG said they were only obligated to repair it, meaning take it apart and replace the drum assembly, etc. I said that wasnt acceptable. The service tech, even though he saw and documented the damaged items, could not find a specific problem with the unit. Because of that, they refused to pay for any damages their machine caused, instead stating there is nothing wrong with the machine. I argued until I was blue in the face. They would not budge. They would not let me talk to someone higher up. They gave me bogus phone numbers and e-mail addresses of people to whom I could escalate my complaint (the e-mails were returned as undeliverable and the phone numbers were not valid). Thank goodness Home Depot gave us a replacement machine against the wishes of LG. Pray that you never need service for any LG product or you will regret it from the start. I like to refer to them as the axe murderers of customer service, the worst I have ever experienced.

My LG refrigerator was purchased in 2015 and stopped cooling in the end of May. I have a home warranty service. Hence, I called them to come check out. They evaluated the unit and concluded it was a very common cooling issue with LG refrigerators. They ordered the parts from LG as the refrigerator is still under warranty. It’s been almost one months since the parts were ordered. Yet we still haven’t heard back from LG the estimated arrival time of parts. The LG’s response was the parts were out of stock. It’s been extremely frustrating experience with LG. If there is an option not to give any star, LG deserves 0!!!!

When I purchased my $2400 LG refrigerator 5 years ago the salesman assured me that this refrigerator should last 15-20 years. WRONG. The compressor failed after stocking up with over $500 worth of meat products due to the Covid 19 crisis. When the repairman came and I had to pay another $100 for a 10 minute diagnosis, he explained that the LG compressors have a 3-5 year life span. Long story short, he was right on point. It failed just a few months past 5 years.Estimate for the repairs were over $1200. If I can give LG less than one star I most definitely would. I would not ever buy LG anything even if it was for free. Buyers beware!! They may look sleek and nice but they are by far the absolute worst product I’ve ever had the misfortune of owning. I wish I could give a negative rating! We have been working with LG customer service since October (over 2 months now). We are extremely disappointed and feel like we have been led on like they would possibly stand behind their product. I can hardly believe we have went this long without a full size fridge and freezer. If LG customer service would have just told us over two months ago that they would not stand behind a less than 3 year old fridge we could have thrown it in a landfill and went and bought another brand. Not only do we NOT need to spend so much money every couple of years on a major appliance, but we really don’t need to fill up our landfills with these things. LG, if you cannot make a large major appliance last longer than 2 years, PLEASE STOP MAKING THEM! Do it not only for customers like me, but for the WORLD!

I have model LSSE3026ST (LG Studio electric range). As others have reported, the stovetop turns on with the slightest bump of a knob. We have had dinner guests help in the kitchen and accidentally turn on the stove. My husband and I have accidentally turned the stove on numerous times as we reach into a cabinet or the microwave. I have to check the stove each time I leave the house because I am terrified that somebody in our house may have accidentally bumped a knob and turned the stove on. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!! LG refuses to acknowledge or correct the problem, despite numerous consumers having the same exact complaint. They have denied my request for a fix. I check recalls every week just expecting to find this range on the list, but not yet. I hope it doesn’t take a serious incident for this to be addressed.

In-door features, online connectivity and support reminders lists, Alexa compatibility are features that I like about this refrigerator and the icemaker makes the most perfect ice cube in the most amazing shapes and sizes for the whole families choices. One of the main reasons I finally decided on an LG refrigerator was the sleek design inside and outside. It is purely beautiful in design and a very beautifully functioning machine. The pricing is the first major obstacle to ownership. The size of the refrigerator is another thought to consider for apartment dwellers. It is a large refrigerator but not overly cumbersome in design so it equals out.

The company ordered the part and told me it would be 4 business days before I could get it fixed due to LG having to ship them the part. LG on the other hand said they 2 day overnight parts. That was a lie. The appliance repair came 6 business days later (due to waiting on part), installed the pump, and to no avail. The technician said it had to be the computer board that was bad. What?!? I did not have a problem with the sales department at Madison appliances. My problem is with my two year old LG slide-in stove. I bought it a few years ago for my new kitchen. After thirty minutes on the phone, I realized I would need to call a local repairman for help with fixing my stove in Savannah, Georgia: LG provided me with a recommendation to call, but they did not service my area. Now, $360 later, my two year old stove will be getting fixed by a reputable appliance repair company in my area. I will never buy LG again.I have now purchased a refrigerator and a stove within the last four years total. I have had to replace my ice maker on my refrigerator to the tune of $200 that appears to be rusting on the stainless steel (that has not been treated improperly in any way) and now I am replacing the board on the back of my stove to the tune of $360. For the past hour I have been reading about unsatisfied customers with the same problems with the linear compressor. Since 2011, we also have lost numerous total food items, ice maker freezing up and plugging the chute, water dripping from the dispensers and the control panel peeling as well as the load and vibrating compressor noise. I eventually removed the little tray in the dispenser so I could monitor excess water leakage to immediately clean up. Also with the control panel peeling with possible water seepage, now some of the functions on the control panel no longer work. Two other family member also purchased this same model at the same time not knowing all these eventful problems. We all have experience the same problems. Removing all the food contents and unplugging the refrigerator 2-3 times a year seems ridiculous and also trying to remove the frozen water buildup that plugs up the ice dispenser is a pain.I see the same over and over form response from LG which tells customers to contact them, but I have not read if any of these hundreds (maybe thousands) have had any resolution. I know there was a Class Action Suit and Settlement Clark v. LG Electronics USA, Inc. Case No:3:13-cv-0485-JMJMA for models sold before January 2014. Why hasnt LG been made responsible to rectify this compressor problem. I too will never buy nor recommend an LG Refrigerator to anyone.

I had a an old Kenmore dishwasher that lasted some 20+ years. It worked great but after so much use (twice a day!), I had to replace this n that on it but overall it was awesome! The end came when we were no longer able to buy the electronic board to operate (most of the repairs/replacement we did on our own, following the schematics and watching Youtube video instructions). Alas, finally, it died and the search was on for a new dishwasher. I read many reviews and settled on the LG. That was my first mistake. The LG was installed 6.18.18 (model #LDT7808ST). I was very excited to have a new, modern dishwasher after all these years! It was sadly short lived. Just a few short months later, I was sick of hearing the bing bing bing that goes off to alert the user of escaping steam. Except there wasnt any escaping steam. When the repairman came out ($150), he told me it was a problem with this model in that the steam created was leeching into the electronics and causing the board to short out, thus the bing bing bing noises. He replaced the board with a newly designed board to alleviate this issue that LG knew about. Finally the sound stopped and all was well. Except a few months later the binging began again. During the interim, I found on two different occasions, small chunks of black rubber. Now what?? I searched inside the dishwasher but couldnt find anything...until yesterday. Now I realize its part of the cowling that feeds water inside the tub. Unfortunately in order to see exactly whats going on with it, I have to figure out how to remove the lower water arm. And because this cowling has become unstable, its blocking the arm from turning freely. So now I have a lower armature that is half-way turning and binging and bonging and dishes that are being poorly washed. COLOR ME DONE! DO NO BUY THIS BRAND DISHWASHER!! I paid over $1,000 and its falling apart after a year and a half. LG brags that the motor has a ten year warranty. That is little value when the rest of the machine is falling apart before a year is even over!

So no big surprise based upon the various reviews concerning LG refrigerator performance. Yes our LG refrigerator stopped working so we called a local repairmen who diagnosis the issue as a compressor failure (which seems to be a common problem), but due to the labor cost and after considerable effort we got LG to send their own technician to come out on their cost to fix the problem. The technician was great and after repairing the compressor and the evaporator (also faulty) we thought all was good. Unfortunately the fridge still didnt work so he returned and after numerous hours and effort he informed us that oil had entered into the lines and there was nothing else to do but submit a request to LG for a reimbursement. We are currently waiting and cannot get any info concerning our status and whether we should keep the fridge to return and that reimbursement process may take up to 4 to 6 weeks for a prorated reimbursement amount. So we have already have waited six weeks without a fridge and will potentially need to wait another six weeks before we have closure and honestly Im not too optimistic based upon the length of time and the ambiguity that each person gives us on the phone. Although each customer service rep is nice it is unfortunate that LG does not give the autonomy to make a decision even when their own repairmen have given forth their assessment. I realize that products fail but when there is an obvious trend LG should be fast recognize and not strong their patrons along. Its just bad business.

I’ve owned this stove for approx 1 1/2 years and in this time my roommate and I have nearly burned the house down TWICE. The knobs are SO easy to accidentally bump and turn on. The first time I had a bag on top of the stove and luckily noticed before it started flaming, but my roommate started an actual full on fire last night with a basket of laundry. I’ve since taken the knobs off, but have read other reviews of people who have done the same, but that bumping the stems actually turns the burners on easier than if the knobs were in place???‍♀️ Ordered some child proofing so we’ll see how that works. We got this washing machine just over 4 years ago. The door lock sticks now and I have to turn it off and back on 30 times before the door will unlock so I can get my clothes out. I don’t have time for that. And yesterday, I went to switch my clothes out and the door was locked of course so I just turned the whole machine off and went back to it today when I had time to mess with it. I still had to tap the frame of the door where the lock is about 3-4 times while turning it off and back on. Then when I finally was able to open it, my clothes were still soaked. So I put it on a spin only cycle. 17 min by default then after it judged the weight and distribution, it went to 10 min.I came back a few min later, the number of min was on 7 and it was full of water, rinsing. The spin light was flashing, indicating it was spinning and it was on a spin only cycle. We’re going to have to replace it as soon as we can afford to because they only guarantee their products for a year. I was told by the manufacturer that they’d have to charge me to have a maintenance guy from LG come to my house, evaluate the problem and fix it. Had I known they believed in their products this little, I’d have gone with a different brand. We will not be purchasing LG again.

I spent almost $3000 on my fridge in Jan. of 2015. Last week it slowly stopped cooling, we didnt notice at first and then last Friday I realized it was barely cold. Started checking all the food and most was bad. We hadnt been home much so I looked in the freezer for the first time in a couple of days and everything was defrosted. Had to throw away 3.5 trash bags of food. I called LG, they gave me a authorized tech to come look at it, which he did on Friday. Did the unplug thing, wait hours and nothing. He came back on Sat. to tap the system to see if Freon was leaking - we only had 25% Freon running through the fridge which could also mean the compressor is bad as well. This tech was leaving to go on vacation, I decided I couldnt wait a week for him to come back so called LG to get another techs #. Tech 2 came out yesterday and discovered Tech 1 had illegally removed the tap after performing the Freon test and Freon had been leaking out of my fridge for 4 days! He also ruined whatever it is you connect the tap too. Tech 2 said now all my hoses are contaminated and this fridge will be a nightmare to repair, he probably will even decline the job because it could possibly mean weeks of having to come back on multiple occasions to get it fixed. Tech 2 called LG while here, documented everything with their tech support, pictures, videos everything. LG has extended the warranty for us but now they want us to have a 3rd Tech come out, has to be specific one and this company cant get out until the end of next week, we have already been extremely inconvenienced without a fridge for a week and now they want us to wait another week to get the 3rd authorized tech before they will proceed??? I called Tech 2 again today and he said he doesnt understand, he was already here yesterday, he is an authorized technician for LG and he documented everything, there is nothing else for him to do. Just today alone I have logged 8 calls with LG, takes an average of 7-10 minutes just to get where you need to be. If you want to talk to a supervisor they say one will call you back in 30 mins., over an hour later Im calling them back because I have not received a call from a supervisor. At this point Im getting upset and told the supervisor I just need a new refrigerator and her response was well thats not up to you. Very dissatisfied with the runaround Im getting from LG, I bought 4 appliances from them in 2015 and will never buy another one because of their antiquated customer service system. Also, should I be contacting the EPA, is my fridge still leaking Freon but LG says thats ok and just wait another week?? At this point I have lost two days of work, probably about $400 of food and my stress level is through the roof!

Ive had the top loading high efficiency washer for about a year and it is truly the worst purchase Ive ever made. Im almost inclined to buy a new washer and chalk up an expensive loss for the sake of my own sanity. The washer gives a UE (uneven load?) error on a fairly regular basis. This stops the already very long cycle and makes me have to reset things to finish the load. Most wash cycles take over 90 minutes. Even just a spin-only cycle is 13 minutes and it will sit weighing the load or something stupid and useless for 5 minutes before one even starts to hear it spin. The only good thing is the large size of the tub. Overall, this washer is horrible.

I was cleaning the exterior of my LG washer WM2701H with a soft dry dishtowel and the printing around the dial wiped off. Never in my life have I had any appliance that I have cleaned on the outside that the printing just wiped off. I was not using any cleaners or liquid on it. The service person I talked to said that the printing coming off was not covered by the warranty. To me that is not the point. In this day and age with the technology we have as a country, you should be able to buy a washer that when cleaning, the printing doesnt wipe off. The washer manual say that the outside of the machine can be cleaned with warm water and mild, non abrasive household detergent. Immediately wipe off any spills with a soft, damp cloth. I guess LG doesnt care about the consumer. Im so disappointed in their non-response to problems people are having with such expensive washers and dryers. Im surprised Sears still sales LG products. I purchased the LG refrigerator in June 2016 from Home Depot. The compressor failed July 2017. Fortunately, I had purchased the extended 5-year warranty through Home Depot; however, the on going saga of trying to get the unit repaired is unacceptable. It took nearly 10 days to get repairman to the house to diagnose the problem. There were no compressors anywhere within the United States to replace the defective compressor. The compressor was back ordered with a promised delivery date 10 days after the repairman had diagnosed the problem. I expected the compressor to arrive by August 3rd. I was recently informed that it would not arrive before August 17th with a possible installation to occur within 1 to 3 days after that date! This would be over a month to get the refrigerator repaired. In discussing the problem with the repairman, he informed me that he is seeing numerous compressor problems with the LG refrigerator. Home Depot, although not acknowledging a problem, was good enough to offer a small refrigerator to provide some form of unit for us to have in the interim. I suspect that they know that LG has a major problem that is being swept under the rug. This is a problem that needs further investigation.I honestly want Home Depot to take the unit back, so I can replace it with another brand. It was the top of the line LG refrigerator, in which I paid nearly $3000. Compressors should not fail within a years time, and if they do, there should be replacements available in less time than a month. Clearly, LG has some sort of defective design with their refrigerator compressors. As I have investigated the problem online, I noted that there has been at least one class action suit against LG refrigerators in the recent past. I believe that this issue is potentially lining up for another class action suit.

My 5 year old refrigerator suddenly stopped working. A technician came out the next day and determined the compressor had failed. I was shocked because compressors typically can last over 20 years. After doing some research I come to find out that this is a widespread problem with LG and possibly some other brands that use this Linear type compressor. LG knows about the problem, and continues selling this product. To make matters worse, they are or have been installing the same type compressor as a replacement which will likely fail again in a short time.LG - listen this is no picnic when you lose hundreds of dollars of food. I spent over $3,000 for what I was led to believe to be a top quality refrigerator. Though the compressor is under warranty, LG said the labor is not because its 5 years and a few weeks, are you kidding? I am not pleased to have to shell out $550 in labor on top of the cost of the lost food. If this is how you treat your customers, you can rest assure LG will not be my appliance brand of choice.

I am having an extremely difficult time getting any cooperation out of their customer service department. If we end up having to pay for this ourselves, we will likely just replace the stove. It has proven to be nothing more than a piece of junk. I did a lot of research before we bought the stove and it had excellent reviews. I’ll be more cautious next time.

They each blamed the other. My refrigerator is only four years old and I paid over $3,000 for it. I know I am not alone. There is a class action lawsuit against LG for this same problem. I advise that everyone that has this problem join in. Don’t let these companies take advantage of us any longer.

Beware of LG front loader washing machine WD13020D, especially for Australian users. The plastic wash drum which surrounds the stainless steel wash bowl is easily pierced by Australian fifty-cent piece. LG wont accept responsibility and said the hole in the plastic drum is caused by foreign body (indigenous fifty-cent piece. Natural habitat: pockets). I have heard of several instances of this happening.

I moved into a home in 2013 with a 2010 LG refrigerator. Both of the water lines have had to be repaired. On November 2, 2015 all food in the refrigerator was freezing. LG will not send out a technician unless you pay them in advance on credit card - $195 for all parts and labor with a 90 day warranty. A sensor had to be replaced. Today (March 9, 2016) the food is freezing again. I just called LG and they want another $195 before they will send another technician out but not before March 14. Their products and repairs are useless. DO NOT BUY LG.

Ive had two 30+ cubic ft LG french door refrigerators in the last 1.5 years. Both completely failed within 6 months. The first had 5 to 6 weekend repairs before it was replaced. No food reimbursement for loss of over 500 in food. The second had 3 sealed component fail in the first year as well. Sears finally refunded my money and I went with Whirlpool. 6 of 7 LG Customer service representatives were rude and completely lacked empathy. I wrote corporate a 3 page letter and they never responded. Life is NOT good with LG! I will never buy any LG product going forward because I got such a bad taste of their customer service. My 3 yr old LG fridge compressor stopped working. It is the linear compressor and when the technician came to repair the fridge he stated the compressor needs to be replaced with an updated model. This did not fix the fridge. The 2nd attempt was a different company that stated the first repair was wrong and replaced the compressor and lower evaporator. This still didnt fix the fridge. The first tech returned and stated the lower evaporator was installed incorrectly and attempted a repair with little confidence it would work. I have contacted LG and they refuse to replace or fix the fridge at this point because I cannot find the receipt. I contacted the location I purchased it and I am unable to get a copy of the receipt. At this point the $3800 fridge is just a large paperweight that will cost me to recycle. LG has horrible customer service and refuses to honor their warranty and back their service techs work. I would not recommend buying LG and will not make another LG purchase again.

On October 26th the oven of my LG range exploded. On Monday October 27 my husband call the office where we have the extended warranty from. They told us the technician would call us the next day. He did and came out and told us the range would have to be replace. He would hand in his report that day and we should hear something from the warranty office within 5 days. My husband has called the warranty office twice a week for the last 5 weeks, and still nothing as to when or if we will get a replacement range. Christmas is 3 weeks away and I have not been able to do any baking or anything. As for Christmas dinner, it appears we will be having bologna sandwiches instead of Turkey. I am so disgusted and upset. The store my husband bought the range from is The Brick in Kitchener Ontario, and they say they cant do anything until they hear from LG.. I purchased my home in 2010 that came with new set of LG appliances. I am having nightmares with the LG gas stove (model: LRG30357ST). Within few months, one of the knobs cracked at the plastic insert. Now why on earth would you design a knob with a plastic insert to mesh with a metal shaft? I replaced this with a new one costing $80. After a few months, this one cracked again and I had to junk the knob as it was of no use. Now after a year, the rest of the 4 knobs have cracked too and I have to use a Gorilla SuperGlue to hold them together. Not sure how long they last. Calling the customer service is of no use as they redirected me to the parts department. Why on earth would I pay $400 ($80 times 5) for 4 knobs? I will be junking the gas range once the knobs become unusable. My advice to fellow consumers, be cautious when buying an LG product and make sure you have reviewed thoroughly the comments by other consumers. I will never buy an LG appliance going forward. By the way, my LG dishwasher had its door and motor replaced (fortunately LG covered that). The only original part is the frame.

I’m writing about my disgusting experience with LG in regards to my washer WM4370HKA. I’ve had issues that started only within months of the purchase of this brand new washer. And the first technician that showed up was in DEC of last year, replaced parts and several weeks later the issue occurred once again. Repeatedly my washer doesn’t complete cycles and gets stuck with soaked laundry. It doesn’t clean properly and the clothes never come out smelling fresh. December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, I’ve had more than 3 technicians come to diagnose and attempts to fix the issue. They say they will be calling me back to replace parts but no one does. The issue is still ongoing and LG is denying me any service and has not agreed to my request for a replacement. I’m now ashamed to say that almost all my home appliances are LG because this type of service or lack of, shouldn’t happen. They don’t make you feel like a person, and they will do anything to deny you service. They don’t want to acknowledge that the machine is faulty. 1500 dollars and not even 6 months and it’s giving me hell.

I purchased 4 brand new LG appliances for our daughter when they moved into their new home. She immediately noticed a problem with the range. The knobs on this model are along the front of the stove and they can be turned on very easily. I was there one day and walked past and barely brushed against a knob and turned the element on.This has happened several times. Even the family dog has turned it on. So far there have been two fires as a result of this issue. One caused damage to their LG range hood/microwave and upper cabinets. This stove is dangerous and they should not be allowed to sell it. We have contacted LG several times. They had scheduled an in-home visit to see the issue but never showed up. We have still not received a satisfactory response. The latest response was to keep the children out of the kitchen. The children are the only ones that havent accidentally turned it on.

I purchased a bottom freezer from Home Depot, model # LFX25971SB/1. I purchased it in 2008, replaced 3 ice makers - 1 every year. The latest one works when it feels like it. Within the first year, we were contacted by LG and was advised that they had to replace the computer. We found out that the energy rating was faulty. The company was ordered to replace computers and we would receive checks every year at approximately $14 based on the extra energy usage, but the check received was only $7.The unit runs very hot and the technician had no answer as to why. Under the bottom freezer drawer, we constantly have water that leaks because something in the unit is not evaporating water. We get thick layers of ice under the drawer which causes the drawer to not open and close properly. The technician doesnt know what is causing the evaporator not to work properly. The vegetable and cold cut drawers freeze foods all the time, and now we dont put anything in those drawers. The technician still has no answer for us. Home Depot gave us a tool to use but the handles on the doors and the freezer drawers kept falling off. I just spoke with LG and they said that we should get a new ice maker. He told me to get a new service company from a warranty company. We paid over $2000 for this piece of junk. I would never buy another LG product again.

Bought this washer in August 2014. Within 18 months, the washer started throwing constant error codes. After trying for 6 months to fix the washer using steps outlined by LG, the problem has only gotten worse. LG offered to send a repair service out to fix the washer for nearly $500, which is almost as much as the washer cost. When I mentioned that the problem seems widespread online and that LG was offering no-cost service calls to others experiencing the same problem (it appears to be a consistent and easy fix of replacing the board and stator), they refused to offer the same service and insisted the repair would include a hefty fee. We purchased our LG washer dryer pair at Home Depot around 5 years ago, and they has been working fine. Today we noticed the glass lid on the washing machine had spontaneously shattered like a car windshield might. It was still intact but had fractured into hundreds of 1/4 to 1/2 pieces. I contacted LG and was told that this was very rare and was directed to several authorized LG service vendors. A simple Google search shows that many people have had this exact experience with this very same LG washer model. It seems to obviously be a design defect, as it was not being used or touched when the glass shattered. If the glass had disintegrated into the tub I suspect the washing machine would have to replaced. As it is a replacement lid from Sears PartsDirect will be here in two days. In the meantime the lid was very simple to remove. What an odd part failure... LG should take responsibility for this problem for this model washer, which many people have experienced. I was lucky that more damage was not done.

We purchased this LG stainless steel refrigerator Model # LRFD25850ST from Home Depot for $2400. Within the last 18 months we have had 3 service calls on a recurring problem. This morning the problem was back and now requires another service visit. The three prior ones cost about $600 altogether, so we are into this refrigerator for at least $3000 so far. I havent seen my problem on this blog. What happens is for some reason a sheet of ice forms in the bottom of the freezer. (Its a bottom freezer model). Anyway every single day of my life I have to crack up the ice with a wooden mallet, scrape it out of the freezer onto the floor & then clean that up. Its infuriating! Each time the tech comes out he defrosts some line & it starts working properly again. After the 1st repair visit, it worked for about 9 months. Then he came again & it worked for 2 months. Then he came again & replaced a little plastic tube & that has worked for 2 months. I really dont think a refrigerator should need to be serviced every 2 months! Before this, I had a GE fridge & it worked without a single problem for 17 years. We gave it to a family member when we got this LG & it has been working for them flawlessly since. That’s 21 years without a problem. Trying to deal with LG customer service is a joke. They couldnt care less & their only recourse is to remind you that your fridge is out of warranty. Plus like others have said, its really difficult to even find someone to service the thing. We dont live in the sticks but a major metropolitan area. We are going to cut our losses & buy a new fridge, but it is definitely not going to be an LG. I will never buy another LG product! Are there any appliances still made in the US? Thats my next quest. I have never been so thoroughly disgusted with both the quality of the product & the total worthlessness of customer service as LG has exhibited.

We had enjoyed the refrigerator until it stopped generating any cool air in Jun 2016. We had contacted LG support, and LG technician came out 6 times to fix the same cooling issue. Every time the fix only lasted 2 days to maximum 10 days. The LG technician had been telling us the cooling issue is not fixable; however, LG corporate insisted its fixable. LG corporate also said they will continue to fix the issue with no consideration on the number of attempts! Anyone with common sense agrees 6 attempts is more than enough to prove its not fixable! When we suggested there is lemon law to protect consumers from repeated same issue; LG corporate said the law does not apply to appliance. I purchased an LG refrigerator. After about 1 1/2 year, the fuse blows. Now you would expect to just replace the fuse, but no. The design of the fridge is that you have to replace the entire circuit board costing hundreds. I dont know why, but I decided to do a little research. I went to YouTube and found a video of how to replace a fuse bypass circuit avoiding a big cost. My fiance and myself did this. Total cost is around $25.00 (gotcha LG) and we have no experience. If you can follow directions, turn the power off to the fridge, of course, and use your own judgement. I would do so again. Why do we think they fix it to where you cant pay to have a fuse replaced (which I have never heard of going out on a refrigerator that fast anyway)? So that maybe a company can makes lots of money by replacing the entire boards instead of just a $1 or $2 fuse. Just want everyone to know and to the person who did the YouTube video, thank you so much! And to LG, no thanks. I will not buy another LG product (lifes good). The compressor is under a 10 year warranty but only for the $160 part. LG is still charging me $400 for labor. Its their flat fee for warranty work, regardless of how long it takes. We purchased our LG machine from Home Depot online, September 2013. Although I do not like how the machine operates (cannot fill) (never enough water) (takes forever to wash a load), it stopped emptying April 26, 2015. We called for service which was to take place on April 29. It was determined the machine needed a new pump. It was ordered that day and was to be in in 3-5 business days. After waiting 10 days, we called Diamond Warranty service. We were told the part was ordered and there was nothing else they could do about it. We then called Home Depot and when they checked, they found the part had been backordered and then reordered and again should be in in 3-5 business days. It finally came in May 15. We set up the repair for May 19. I took off work because my husband was in court all day. At 7:30 on the 19th, they called and said the repairman was ill and rescheduled to Thursday, May 21. On May 21, they called and said the person would be out the rest of the week and could reschedule next week after Monday. I have now been without a washer for 25 days. Home Depot said they can do nothing but file a report against Diamond warranty and it will take one to two business days for a supervisor to respond. When I called LG they said they were very sorry and could only do the same. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they asked me to stay on the line. I held for 13 minutes and then hung up. Obviously neither LG nor Home Depot care. I want out of the extended warranty and they can take the washer and shove it because neither are any good. I have been to the laundromat 4-5 times and spent 11 to 15 dollars each time and still have no washer. I will never buy anything from LG or Home Depot again. Even if they do come out next Wednesday, it will have been 31 days without a washing machine. This is ridiculous!

We called the service center (1-800-905-9505) and told them of the problem - and technician took 2 weeks to come diagnose & repair --- replacing the compressor (Work was done on June 1, 2019). July 11th the refrigerator stopped cooling once again. Food lost and frozen food lost. Technician came the next day (12th) repaired.... and following morning (13th) the refrigerator STOPPED COOLING! Called service center on Saturday the 13th - and am still waiting for a call back from LG to set up service call ASAP. We are thoroughly disappointed with the LG refrigerator we purchased for full price - and will NEVER purchase another LG appliance again. Once we get this refrigerator running again we will donate it and have to spend money again on a new refrigerator. Customer service at LG consists of ALL foreigners - barely speaking English and expressing zero ability to satisfy customers. Sincerely,Steffany

I have had my LG top loader WM3470HWA for 16 months. My towels smell like mildew and the mold from the washer has left brown streaks on my white clothes. I am sickened that after spending $850 on a top of the line washer, I need to now take my whites somewhere else to be washed. This is all AFTER replacing the tub seal, which after numerous calls and complaints and hold times, LG covered. The incompetent tech came out after this happened and said not sure what else it can be. He shrugged his shoulders and said the only thing left to do is replace the tub, but sorry we wont cover that. So, now Im stuck with this expensive machine and I cant wash my white clothes. I called customer service again, and they basically wrote me off... Im furious and will tell everyone I know never to buy LG again.

LG sold as Kenmore Elite Model 29002 - I bought a top-load washing machine
LG sold as Kenmore Elite Model 29002 - I bought a top-load washing machine in April 2012 and loved this machine. Then, I receive this “must do recall” on the washing machine, and I took care of this service on February 28th. Well, that was the biggest mistake of my life. I hate this washing machine. It takes hours to wash a load of wash. It continually gets unbalanced while trying to spin and then starts to add water and try again. This becomes continual and you never know when your wash is going to be done. The express wash of 35 minutes ended up to be 75 minutes yesterday. Tomorrow it could be another time, and the day after that, another time. If you are not having issues with your machine, skip the recall service. I am wasting my time, my clothes are getting worn out from continual washes at one time, and my electricity bill is going up. Plus, I have an expensive washing machine that is probably soon going to the dump because I know they are not going to give me my money back.

LG microwave dead at 18 months!! I bought an LG kitchen suite. I decided to go with the pricier microwave which looked good and had cool features expecting at least 5 years of function. I bought Model#: LMHM2237ST. It just died one day, no clock, no lights, no power, nothing. Called LG, it is out of warranty period. LG sends me warranty extension offers so frequently for all the appliances but now I understand why. At this point I cannot recommend LG to anyone. Disappointed.

This is my first LG. It is hands down the best machine I have used over 50 years. Its quick, quiet, easy to operate and clothes come out clean. It is also easy to keep clean. Can it get any better than that?

I have purchased a new LG 6.5 fully automatic washing machine. Within 1 month, the machine started with abnormal noise and wobbling. I filed a complaint, and a technician came, but he could not resolve the complaint, and during repairs, the broken back side sheet and hooks of the machine. I, again, lodged a complaint. My complaint number is RNA 120120039141. Please resolver this problem, otherwise give my money back.

I bought LG WM3988HWA washer/dryer combo in 10/2/08, from Overstock.com. It stopped drying and showing FE Error. I paid $89 to diagnose and $960 for changing the bad control board. After many calls, LG now says they cannot extend warranty only because the purchase was from an unauthorized source!

Please when purchasing a LG product make sure you look at the warranty. I have owned 2 LG products. First was a dishwasher the second is a refrigerator. Both of these products had issues that should be covered under LG warranty and LG has fought me on both warranty claims. The first was the dishwasher. When I called in for a warranty claim I was told LG could not warranty it as I did not have the original purchase receipt. Even though the Model and Serial Number on my dishwasher noted it was under warranty they would not honor their warranty. At that time I did not realize I could have fought it so I purchased a new dishwasher (that was not LG).Now in 2020 my fridge stopped working. It is the compressor. My fridge is still under warranty and the compressor should be mailed to my home. LG is making me jump through hoops to get the compressor mailed so my fridge can be fixed. LG will not send me the product without talking to my technician. In saying that I have supplied LG with my technician’s contact information and LG has told me that they have reached out to my technician to authorize the part. My technician as received NO authorization request. When I reached out to LG to note my technician had not received and email I was then told it would take 3-5 business days to contact him. I feel that LG has no right to authorize my technician in order to send me the part. Today there are so many clever people that can fix their own appliances. If I was a handy person and was able to fix my own LG fridge, LG would not send the part directly to me as I am not a technician. I think this is very unethical. The fridges compressor does not work it is under warranty, LG should mail the part without question. So at this point I am going on 15 days without refrigerator. LG will not send me the part even though I own the fridge and it is under warranty. They have supposedly contacted my technician but at this point he has not been contacted. I just wanted to let everyone know what I am going through so that when you purchase any major appliance consider purchasing one that has a better track record at honoring their warranty. If you do purchase an LG appliance at least now you are well aware that they will make you jump through hoops and likely not going to honor the warranty on that appliance. It would be better to find a company that is willing to honor their warranty even if it costs more.

I purchased a $1350.00 LG refrigerator. 3 years later it broke. The repairman came to fix it, told us it needed a part and he would order it for overnight shipping. Well, he lied. It has been five days now and he just told me it would be another few days before the part comes in. They blamed it on FedEx. I have lost hundreds of dollars of food, but does LG care? NO. At one point the repairman hung up on me. NEVER NEVER buy any LG product. Their service departments is rude and unreliable. Very upset and disappointed with everything about this company. You have been warned!!!

Throws errors LG refused to fix. 2 months old. 3 errors. Model WT7060CV: We purchased from well known retailer, upgraded all external hoses, faucet, etc. at time they installed. Within 2 weeks, started getting errors requiring reset, that worked, now at 2 months of light usage, vacation home, the error claims no water coming into tub. The symptoms however are conflicting: water fills tub and washes, then as it goes into spin, error thrown, tub drains, washer stops working, items in washer are wet. Now we cant get washer to work at all, the current error says requires repair person, we call retailer, they give us LG Customer Service, customer service tells us the problem is no water is coming into tub, I explained that was not the case and reiterated symptoms. We did video call with LG, they found no problem and said the hose must be clogged since no water was coming in. We said yes water is coming in, they said to clean the filters which required taking back off of washer but they wouldnt stay on the call to assist, I said water is coming in and seems odd that after 2 months the filters have to be cleaned and I am not comfortable doing this on my own, they said to stop repeating myself and hung up on me. They gave us 2 repair people in Seattle, 1 out of business, 1 never called back. I asked for repair services closer to East side because anyone further out wont drive to our location, they gave me 2 that are further away than first repair service. Retailer told us LG was supposed to call repair service not us.Now the retailer, who really has been super helpful is dealing with LG and is going to pay for an LG repair company closer to our location that is not on LG authorized list to go out to try to repair the machine. The retailer told me LG is extremely difficult to work with when issues occur with their products. Lesson learned. DONT BUY LG, I now have a shiny new 2 month old washing machine that does not work and neither the retailer or LG will take back. The good news... The dryer works fine. So far.
