Purchased LGs top of the line matching washer and dryer in Oct 2014. Since have had issues the last four months with OE code and repeated rinse cycles. VERY costly as I pay for water! I contacted LG and of course customer service, located in another country, cannot service the washer. They feel an almost four year old washer is well used! REALLY- washers average lifespan is 12 years on newer versions - older washers would go forever - 25 years plus! Very disgusted with LG customer service and more importantly their craftsmanship of poor quality! Pretty appliances, pleasing to the eye but purely JUNK! This company needs to step up to plate and take care of their customers. Buyer beware - one year new LG appliances that break cannot be fixed because LG discontinues the replacement parts!

I purchased my LG Refrigerator French Door LFXC24726S on 9/5/15 from Best Buy. This refrigerator is used seasonally from June through September each year and winterized. In July of 2017 or after about 6 months of actual usage Error FF (indicating a fan problem) appeared and the refrigerator ceased to cool. A local repairman (not LG) replaced two fans with no improvement. Since an LG repairman was unavailable on a timely basis I was forced to buy a replacement refrigerator since this is a seasonal rental home. I was able to get an authorized LG repairman in late August who with consultation with LG Tech Support diagnosed a probable Main Control Board issue since the board has been updated to correct a known internal fan icing issue. No repairs have been under warranty so after $300 for fan replacement and $500 for board replacement the refrigerator still produced Error FF and does not function.I would gladly join a class action suit because this is simply unacceptable. Foreign quality that is being sold to the American public by our big box stores. Furthermore, I have been unable to talk to a technical representative at LG myself getting bounced between the standard 800 customer service and the LG parts distributor. My authorized LG repair service indicates that LG is frequently difficult to deal with. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MANUFACTURED BY LG!

I purchased an LG microhood and almost immediately, the stove lights melted and burned through the plastic covers. Unfortunately, I didnt report it until after the year warranty was up, but when I did report it, they still wouldnt stand behind their product. I googled the problem and others were having the same problem. Any other appliance manufacturer would have stood behind their product, but not LG. The guy in customer service said I was the only one with this problem. I told him to do an internet search on this and see all the others with the same problem and he laughed at me and hung up. Yes, he actually laughed and hung up saying there was nothing they could do. This is clearly a manufacturers defect, plain and simple. Also, the plastic clip holding the filter in broke while I was changing a filter. Also, I will have to replace the light bulb covers every time they melt through as the plastic is burnt and cracked and can fall into food. The light bulbs blow quickly. Buying this product has been a disaster. I will never buy another LG product again, just based on the way I was treated by customer service alone.

I purchased a complete kitchen full of LG stainless steel appliances to update my kitchen. There is no way you can keep the stainless on any of these appliances, mostly the refrigerator looking good. Hand smudges and any water drips on exterior surface of stainless are impossible to get off. I have tried every brand of stainless steel appliance cleaner on the market. It is a full time daily ritual cleaning, wiping, rubbing, and polishing the stainless surfaces of these appliances and still I cant get some water drip marks off, and I have no children. I know theyre not smudge proof but I should be able to clean them up to look like something. And I thought I was updating!

I purchased a LG Counter Measured Stainless Steel Refrigerator on August 2014 from Home Depot. Into 10 months of having this product (June 2015), I found a large amount of icing behind the produce draw and I could barely open the draw. Apparently the compressor was going and needed to be replaced. LG came out and promptly fixed the problem. They replaced the two boards - internally and externally at no cost to me.Then around early August 2015, I found several rust marks on the right and bottom drawers of the refrigerator. I promptly called LG especially since I had not owned the refrigerator an entire year. They asked me to upload pictures and the representative stated she would present this to senior management to see what they could do to remedy this. She called back the next day and said senior management felt that the damage was caused by me in some way. I told them that I had purchased a dishwasher and a range at the same time, clean them with the same stainless steel product, and the items did not have rust marks. They said that their decision was final.Surprisingly I received a call in late October 2015 from LG inquiring about the rust spots complaint on the fridge. I explained that there were actually additionally rust spots appearing every day and that I was very unhappy with this situation. He sent an LG service person to view the rust spots and take pictures as well. The service man called the warehouse to immediately order me the right and bottom freezer doors and to have them installed the following day. At this point, I am a little concerned that the new doors will have the same problem and if it happens again, will they cover the damage? I have purchased many products from LG and was generally very happy with the products and service.

I purchased a beautiful French door refrigerator (Model LFXC24796S) from the Home Depot in November 2017, by September 2018, the compressor has already gone out on this fridge. I purchased the extended warranty through Home Depot and the soonest they could send someone out was three days later to look at it. I was told parts had to be ordered because the compressor went out and it would take 3-5 business days. It has now been day 5 and I have received no contact from the service people and Home Depot and LG are giving me the runaround. Meanwhile we are at home living out of coolers for 11 days now with a beautiful looking $2,700 piece of crap. Threw away over $300 worth of food. I am so disappointed at LG and Home Depot for not doing something to make it right. I am about to drive this fridge to Home Depot and demand my money back. DO NOT EVER BUY AN LG fridge! Even the service technician who came out told me that all of these type fridges break very easily. For as much money as you spend, you can get something more worthwhile in a Whirlpool, GE, or KitchenAid.

DANGEROUS MICROWAVE! Not even a year old and some interior paint chipped after approx. 6 mos. of this brand new LG Microwave. It caused sparking and smelled like something was burning. It more than likely could have caught fire if I didnt catch it right away by pressing Stop on the control panel. There was exposed metal inside around the door area where the paint chipped. I didnt return it cause I lost the receipt (I have bank info cause I paid with my Debit Card). I never purchase insurance cause I have been ripped off so much with that. I cant afford to buy another microwave so I put some appliance paint on the chipped area let it dry overnight. It did work, however a few months later it chipped and again MORE SPARKING in a different area. Repeated the process with the appliance paint and again it worked. Shouldnt have to worry about this. I dont walk away when using this microwave cause its DANGEROUS!I was also unhappy with this LG Microwave due to it being LOUD, HARD TO SEE CONTROL PANEL, COOKS VERY HOT (OVERCOOKS USING THE CONTROL PANELS TIMED COOKING & TEMP eg... Potatoes, Popcorn etc. I did read reviews prior to purchasing and some of the issues can be overcome, however not the FIRE HAZARD ISSUE! I was surprised to see 4-5 star reviews. I truly believe they are filtered cause I tried to place this review on LGs site and it was not posted? Consumers need to know Buyer Beware.

Could not find a switch to turn it off on the refrigerator. Could not believe my eyes. Thankful I was not on vacation. I do not want it repaired, I want it gone. $3,200 lesson to never purchase LG. Our fridge died after 15 months. It took 3 days for LG tech to come out and change the compressor. After 3 weeks second compressor went down too. Again another tech came out and replaced the compressor. And now here is the nightmare. As soon as tech left unit started making a loud banging noise. Called LG again and same tech came out. Worked on it and left. It took less than 30 minutes for noise to come back. Next day same tech comes out and worked on it but he really didnt know what was wrong. He left and same problem. The banging is so loud that we can hear it from our bedroom. It got so bad that I had to pull out the unit and unplug at 3 am. And now LG sending the same tech out for the 5th time. This unit cost us $3100...

200 characters isnt enough to explain, LG wont offer up they know about the issue and that they extended all warranties on the linear compressor to 5 years. My refrigerator was purchased on Nov. 1, 2017. https://lgcommunity.us.com/discussion/3871/important-lg-refrigerator-warranty-information-announcement-please-read. Opened case with LG support, LG happily said that my refrigerator is under warranty when my LG account for registering my appliances clearly says it is out of warranty. You have to call the number in the link that I added to get the warranty work. Talking with the agent, who was pleasant to speak with, also came back and said that LG will also offer to pick up the cost of the Labor on this call as a complimentary service. Really? It is stated in the warranty that Labor is covered! So much for the fake gesture, is Life Good? Anyway, back to my story. Now that I finally got to the bottom of all this, we have a service ticket generated and the agent is working to confirm a service technician in my area to take the service call, stating we will have someone within 24 hrs. Ok, well we all know by now, 3 days after the refrigerator has stopped cooling and at 61 degrees, all of our food is no longer safe to eat. It is now exactly 24hrs from placing my service call with LG and still no confirmed service technician on the case, when-o-when will my refrigerator cool again? And Ill just leave all discussion about the pandemic going on right now, ugh...As I continue to do more research about this topic, how many of you are aware of the class action suit against LG for this exact issue? ** I guess it pays to do your research. After the cost of a technician to tell me the compressor isnt functioning properly and a hum hum nudge nudge on the shoulder saying check this out, I discovered all this and am now expecting my refrigerator to be fixed for free. Once it is fixed I have to ask one more question. Is the new compressor covered by a 5 year warranty from the day it was installed, it should be! After all, we all know that this compressor will also fail within the next 36 months, give or take. This is the second generation linear compressor and LG has yet to fix its know issues, I am not aware of a 3rd generation compressor coming out any time soon. If you continue to research you will find that LG has already gone through a class action suit for this same issue on compressors prior to these. I hope this was some what helpful to anyone reading this and doing their own research into an LG refrigerator. Anyone looking for a French Door Refrigerator? I have one for sale!

Updated on 11/29/2021: LG kitchen appliance buyer please beware. Again, based on my experience, any potential buyer should do research on the dependability of the product and any posted customer experience comments before purchasing any LG kitchen appliance. I made a post 2 months ago on the unreliable refrigerator I purchased and the lack of customer service from LG. Shortly after that post I got action, but it has turned out to be just lip service. I have provided everything LG requested to get a prorated reimbursement for the refrigerator. I have been told on several occasions the reimbursement is approved and the check has been mailed. To this date, 11/29/21, I still have not received the check and I still have an unreliable LG refrigerator. The “promises” of me receiving a reimbursement, which come from as high up of the “liaison of the president”, apparently are meaningless. Bottom line is if you are planning to purchase kitchen appliances please, please consider my situation in order to avoid hours and hours of wasted time and frustration as well as money if you go with LG.Original Review: LG kitchen appliance buyer please beware. Based on my experience, any potential buyer should do research on the dependability of the product and the customer experience comments when something does not work like it should. We purchased the French door refrigerator in November 2019. We started having a problem with the freezer compartment getting too warm in April 2021. This is October 2, 2021 and the problem still exists. The customer service department scheduled repairs. Nine technicians from two different companies have worked on the refrigerator. Many components have been replaced including thermostats, rear cover panel and the mother board that controls everything. The problem revolves around the defrost cycle and the unit not being able to recover from defrosting. The compartment gets too warm, 41 degrees. The refrigerator compartment also gets to 41 degrees. Multiple times everything in the freezer has thawed and turned to liquid. Ice melts in the ice dispenser and runs on the floor. The issue has been escalated 4 times now. Three of those have been to the Defective Returns Department. They rejected the claim first due to “improper submission of the claim by their representative” and a second time because “the person handling the claim no longer works for the company”. I have emailed the President twice without a response even though his webpage says he will respond. My experience has been extremely poor and I still have a defective refrigerator. For $3,100 I expected a unit that would perform and last for a number of years. The company has no doubt spent near that amount of failed repair attempts. I’ve been told that my unit qualifies for either replacement or refund due to the number of repairs and due to the failure of the company to schedule repair within 14 days. This problem is a nightmare and has no resolution within sight. Life’s Not So Good with this kind of customer service and a company that does not stand behind its product. Buyer beware!

Washing machine self-destructed after 1 year 8 months. My washing machine destroyed itself while on the spin cycle, ruining the washing machine and damaging the adjacent walls of the laundry room. It has been two months, with weekly follow-ups to LG and no progress toward even looking at the machine. This is clearly a manufacturing defect, not a warranty issue. I would strongly discourage purchasing an LG washing machine. I replaced the machine with a Samsung which has performed well.

In my opinion, LG is a brand that incline as far as technology. I trust them to use the most up to date equipment when putting their products together. But in my opinion the initial cost of the refrigerator was a bit pricey. Over 700 dollars was a bit out of my price range for what came with the product. There was no ice machine. And the space made for the freezer was considerably small for the price. To me it should have at least came with a ice maker. Even though a bit pricey, I am overall satisfied with my purchase. My last refrigerator was a complete joy. It worked extremely well and never gave me any electrical issues. All food stored were kept at the proper temperature and never spoiled. I would definitely recommend.

I bought this set because I liked the look of the stainless steel with a clear coat on top. Unfortunately after 3 years the finish on top of the washer didn’t hold up and had many marks and streaks which is weird because the finish doesnt seem scratched—just has discolorations. There is one setting, Sports wear, that has no features associated with it which seems like a bug. You choose it, and there are zero settings. No temp, speed, spin etc. They are just blank. I do wish I could add the fabric softener setting for every type of wash, but its not available on several. Otherwise it seems to do a good job and has great capacity.

Do NOT buy a LG fridge nor use Southland Technical for after service. LG has their own service techs but they are not qualified to do compressor work. So they contract out. Last hot summer, I was given the run around by LG for over 2 weeks to get someone to come see my broken down $3,000 fridge. They keep telling me how busy they are and finally they gave me Southland’s phone number to call. Southland came out, and $1,000+ later, I get my new compressor. Almost exactly 105 days later, the compressor broke down again!!! The service guy who came out in January told me this is the SECOND incident in last 2 days he has seen!!! It took almost 2 months for Southland to get back to me to confirm indeed the compressor had broken down again and due to some BS story, the fridge can no longer be fixed and they will have LG call me. 2 weeks on, LG called to tell me I am SOL because LG did not initiate the call to Southland and therefore LG is not responsible. LG offered me a $100 credit for my next LG fridge, REALLY!! I am suspicious it was a collision between Southland and LG to get me to buy a new fridge. Really Southland, you took $1,000 of my money, replaced the compressor. (Assume they did or perhaps an after-market no name???) And to tell me 105 days is outside the 90 day warranty period. Hands up out there if anyone knows a compressor to last only 105 days. (Yes, days, not months!!) Needless to say, never use Southland and never buy any LG products... Look around, less and less dealers are selling LG, only Costco because they do not have a service department so LG is a convenient partner for a lousy brand!!

LG has met my initial expectations. Price was the first reason for purchasing this refrigerator. We loved the fact that the shelving was movable. Lots of space, very nicely organized. Well built. Satisfied my growing family. Great color choices. Nicely constructed. Very happy with the service we received. More freezer space needed though. For a growing family its difficult to place frozen foods of different sizes into such a small area such as the freezer. Maybe put more shelving options in the refrigerator.

Well, I have a 2009 Kenmore refrigerator built by LG. We have had several service calls this past year. Ice Maker, compressor, freezer fan twice. Today I was told it cannot be repaired. The reason it cant get fixed is because it leaks. The location of the leak comes from the side panel. When the refrigerator was built they use blown in expandable insulation. The tech that did that work in the factory did not do it right. I think the factory is in Korea. No fix for this problem except to buy a new refrigerator. I will never buy a product made by LG. I think some Kenmore products are made by LG. We just bought a new dishwasher. I will purchase made in the USA products from now on. I hope this helps other consumers.

My LG refrigerator stopped working and it was almost 3 years old. No one will work on the refrigerator due to warranties on certain parts. The service provider in my area is not taking any work orders until after the New Year. It is the compressor which should go up in the little bit of time. The whole experience has been frustrating with LG and trying to find another company to work on this so I didnt have to wait. The compressor from what I understand can take up to 3-4 weeks to come in. Deciding the pay for the labor, not cheap, so made a decision that I didnt want to make since this refrigerator wasnt cheap. After a remote diagnosis I was told that the cooling fan was freezing up; when I asked about repairs I was told to just insure that all doors and draws were tightly close and to check all seals were air tight, bad advice. Between November 2014 and April 2016 the same issue continued to occur. After a series of calls and two more visits, LG would no longer return with pay; this was an ongoing issue. Purchased an LG microwave oven (over the range) model LMV1813S ...installed it 3 days before Thanksgiving 2014. On Christmas morning (1 month later) it stopped heating. Certified LG service repaired it yesterday with a brand new computer board and keypad (just to be safe). Worked once and then stopped again. LG will not send a new unit. Says the repair guy must come fix it again and again until he determines it is a lemon.....its brand new, 2 months old.

I hope there is a recall on this washing machine. I paid top dollar for the Worst Machine ever. The machine doesnt dispense enough water to clean the cloth. The cloth has a nasty odor after washing them. The machine itself has a nasty odor as well. I have tried many, many kinds of detergent but nothing seems to help. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WILL NEVER BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS AGAIN.

LG French Door refrigerator LFX28979ST - This the second LG refrigerator I have bought in the past 10 years. I have had problems with both. I have spent over four grand not counting over 1,500 on repairs. In the latest one we have replaced 2 compressor for over 1,000 dollars in 7 months. If they know they have problems with compressors the need to fix it. I give their product a zero rating. The whole LG staff is worthless and of no help and just pass the buck.

Like the lighting; like the french doors; like the size. Have had problems with ice maker freeze up; frost build up around the door vents that feed the ice maker and most recently a complete failure of the cooling to both refrigerator and freezer compartments. Entire food contents had to be discarded. A major nuisance for a refrigerator with this price tag. Waiting for warranty repair. Will see how that goes.

Lack of an agitator may or may not be the cause, but this device twists items deposited into a ball and finishes with a big question as to what, if any, items were thoroughly cleaned. The initial jiggling of items in such small water appears to be a designers mental excursion with little reality involved. The standard setting muddles items in a VERY LOW LEVEL of highly-concentrated dirty water due to the water-saver nature of the device. Whatever happened to good cleaning? OR is water so expensive that we should settle for less-clean clothing. Weve owned washers and dryers for 54 years and have never experienced any worth these words. Enough said?

I bought an LG front loading washing machine in October 2011. I also bought an LG bottom freezer french doors refrigerator in October 2011, while doing a house renovation. Refrigerator Model is LFC20760SW. When washing machine broke in June I was told it was not worth fixing. In Feb I came home from vacation and the food in refrigerator was spoiled. The lights dont even work. I checked breaker. The vacuum works in the electrical receptacle so it not the power. Also at least 4 of the plastic pieces have broken off. Both sides of the slider in the deep freezer broke. The door storage broke. Some other pieces have broken off. I will never buy an LG again. Cant get a LG repair person either. Sears is coming over maybe.

We bought an LG LFX31925ST French Door refrigerator in January 2012. It has operated flawlessly. Both my wife and I have frequently commented on what a great purchase this was. We recently observed a periodic error message indicating that a freezer fan was failing. Since I dont expect anything mechanical to run forever, I was happy that the product pointed me to the likely problem with an error message. I was impressed that I was easily able to download owner and repair manuals online, and that part diagrams and the parts themselves were readily available from numerous sources. We ordered the needed part and removing the freezer drawer and replacing the back wall with new sensor and fans was a $100 repair that took 45 minutes at most.We have owned refrigerators in the past that required a new ice maker every year. Our LG ice maker is now more than 5 years old and with daily use still works perfectly. Im sold on LG products. I dont have the receipt anymore, but these are the registration details: Model Number: LFX31925ST. Serial Number: 106KREL0F452. Purchase Date: 01/12/2012.

I purchased a side by side Lg refrigerator in 2018 from Home Depot. I also purchased an extended warranty for this product through Home Depot. The extended warranty company is Asurion. After 2 years and 1 month my fridge died. It would not cool. This happened on a Sunday. So I called Lg that day to find out they were closed. Then called my extended warranty dept. My first called I was put on hold for 39 minutes...only to be disconnected. My second call, after another 40 minutes, I spoke to Dwayne ** who gave me a claim number and said a service person would arrive that day between 8-4. No one showed up. That night I called Asurion again. This time I spoke with Natasha, who gave me another claim number and said a serviceman would arrive on Monday. No one showed. I then called Lg directly who told me it would 5-7 days to get a service repair date.. I then lost it...They said they have no one in my area who accepts their coverage. So now Im without a fridge, lost all my food and no repair date. This is the worst company. Do not buy their products. You will be wasting your money like I did. LG representative are location in the Philippines. They could care less about you and I... the consumer. We are thoroughly disgusted with the warranty, the product and lg. Beware...lg is not US friendly. If they were I would not have to wait over a week just to get a repair person to come and look. Wonder how long it will take to repair. And they do not provide a refrigerator to use in the meantime. You are on your own. Try another company!!!!

Our refrigerator starting beeping every 30 seconds. We checked all the troubleshooting suggestions from leveling, moving around the food, buying thermostats, to making sure the doors were closed. We figured out the beeping was the freezer section. We called LG who immediately said the sensor was bad and that the part was covered but the labor will not be. It seems that this is a known problem. Im just wondering why, if its a known defect... why isnt it covered. I havent had the refrigerator for 7 years yet so it should be covered. Right?!?! We corrected the problem by taping down the switch that turns on the light in the freezer section. Last night, 4:32 am, the other section started beeping. It beeps for every 30 seconds for about 20 minutes and then stops for a few hours. Id rather not be able to see in my refrigerator than spend hundreds for repair. The temps are fine. A service request was logged thru a Dealer in Kerala and the Mechanic attended the case promptly. He confirmed the Electronic Control Board was damaged and it was why the program were not running properly. I spoke to the local service manager and he confirmed that warranty could not be given for the machines purchased outside India. However, asked him to order the part but, he could not get “any response from LG for the last two months. As the machine stopped working I contacted the local Distributor in Dubai last week but, they also did not keep stock. For getting the Part from Korea they wanted me to pay Dh.650 which is almost half the cost of a new machine.

Two years ago, my wife and I purchased an LG 7957295 French Door refrigerator. Its now 2020 and the compressor is shot. Sears wants $1000 to repair it or will give me a %50 discount if I pay $50 ($600 per year) for an appliance (all) warranty. I could have purchased a $3000 refrigerator for that amount of money. I checked and sure enough the LGs are having problems with their linear compressors I am told. The reviews say it and the repairmen are saying it. Yet, LG continues to sell them. Last, we have had numerous problems with this refrigerator from the start, loud auger sound in back, dents if you look at it, fingerprint resistant is anything but. I am heading out to buy a new refrigerator since I dont want any more problems with this item.

We bought a LG washer (top loading.) and dryer set at Best Buy, 20 June 201
We bought a LG washer (top loading.) and dryer set at Best Buy, 20 June 2016. They looked like quality products, but we were very mistaken. The washer spends a lot of time load sensing, almost as much as washing. A lot of clicking going on, and the tub jiggles back and forth for a few minutes before the washing cycle starts. Even with Extra Water, selected, it is barely enough to get the clothes thoroughly wet in the wash cycle. The clothes in the very middle of the tub never hardly move during the agitation, so they do not really get washed good. Then during this last week the washer goes from wash cycle to spin cycle. It forgets the rinse cycle. Also, we can only get hot water, never warm. For some reason the warm setting is always cold. It also takes a long time just to wash a load of clothes. The dryer will not dry our clothes completely, but we work around that problem, and we shouldnt have to. We had a Kenmore washer and dryer set for thirteen years, and never had many problems. I worked as a product designer for many years, and our company had strict rules for testing and designing before any new product was introduced to the market. I can hardly believe that LG is putting these defective new products out to the marketplace. Anyway, we are disgusted, and learned a very expensive lesson.

We purchased an LG fridge and stove from Home Depot on January 3, 2014. We were given a date for delivery of Jan 24, 2014. So my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery. At 9:30 am we received a call from Home Depot asking if we had received a call from LG with our delivery time? We answered, no, we had not, and Home Depot staff said he would call LG to see when it was coming. Several hours later with no return call from anyone I called Home Depot (2:30 pm), only to be told that our products were out of stock and would now not be delivered until Feb 4, 2014. So upset over taking a day off and not even the smallest of respect for LG to call and inform us that our products were not coming, we wait until the next date. For Feb 4th comes and again my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery (surely if it was not coming today LG would have called to inform us). By 11 am we heard nothing so I placed a call to LG myself. It was at this time I was given the run around. I asked her if it was customary for them to not call their clients to inform them that their delivery is not coming. She told me it was Home Depots responsibility (I spoke with Home Depot and the told me it was their responsibility). I explained that I felt that was horrible customer service to not provide common courtesy. I let her know that it cost us money to stay at home for the 2 days and they couldnt pick up the phone. The customer services lady could not help me and when I asked to speak to a manager the manager would not take my call and instead gave me the number to call the delivery department. It was then I spoke with them and was told that it wasnt coming today either and had no idea when it was coming. Eventually we found out another delivery date of Feb 12. I wonder if I will ever get the items I paid for??

We purchased our new refrigerator along with an LG stove and microwave when we moved into our new home in 2016. Part of our decision was based on the experience we already had with our LG washer and dryer. Here we are now fighting issues with a refrigerator that should easily last 10+ years. If we had known previously about the compressor issues we would not have purchased this brand. Where are the lemon laws for refrigerators?Issue started with water on the floor and at first we thought the in-door ice maker was failing (more on this later), then two days later we noticed that ice cream was soft in the freezer and then a day later no cooling at all (by the way - all of this in the middle of COVID-19 quarantine and trying to make sure we had enough groceries on hand). It took approximately 1 1/2 weeks to get service on site for repair. The technician replaced the compressor and stated that the refrigerator would now run louder. Well, it was so loud we couldnt hear our tv in the next room without turning up the volume to almost maximum level.I pulled the refrigerator out and found that one of the copper tubes from the compressor was vibrating and rubbing on the rear cover. Called for service again to fix the noise issue. When he checked the refrigerator, he stated that he could find nothing wrong; however, he did release some of the coolant because he thought the compressor may have been overcharged and overheating. This seems to have resolved the noise issue. The in-door ice maker - noticed that after the compressor failed we now have water dripping intermittently out of the left hand door (the door with the ice maker). I mentioned this to service tech during his return visit and he said it was probably because I was leaving the door open too long and there was not enough cold air for the ice maker compartment. Ive had the refrigerator for not quite 4 years and never had this issue before - I dont think Ive changed how I use my refrigerator. This issue has not been resolved. We question how long the new compressor will last (4 years?). How much more electricity is the refrigerator using now as compared to before - seems to run a lot more now.

We moved into our new home this past year and purchased all new LG applianc
We moved into our new home this past year and purchased all new LG appliances. Within about a month after we purchased our stove, we had problems with the main board, and it was replaced without a problem. At the end of May, we started having problems with our refrigerator. It began making loud noises and then shutting itself off. We contacted the company to arrange the repair, and the repairman scheduled a call for the end of the week. When the repairman didnt show, we called the service. We were told, at first, that someone would be there, and then we were told that we were never put on the schedule. A service man ended up stopping by and told us that the problem is also the main board. It is a common problem that he works on all the time. He continued to tell us that LG was a very poor product, and we shouldnt have purchased it because of all the problems he addresses with them. He said he would order the part and let us know when it came in. The following week, he told us mid-week that he ordered the part and was waiting for it. By the following Monday, my daughter became ill with the symptoms of food poisoning. I contacted LG again to complain and was told they would replace the unit with a new or upgraded model. The representative named Isla took my information and informed me it would be processed within business days as soon as they received a copy of our receipt. I uploaded the receipt and called them back. I was informed that they had received the receipt, and it would be sent to the replacement division who would call me back. Yesterday (5 days later), I called LG and the representative didnt seem to know what was going on so I requested to speak with a supervisor. I then talked to Sherry, who was actually nice and tried to be understanding. She told me that the person I talked to on Monday didnt do anything with the case and was not authorized to promise us anything. She said she would do what she could, but it was up to the Replacement Division to determine what would happen. After being on the phone with her for another hour and breaking down in tears over the frustration of dealing with them on this, she researched our case and assured me that she had sent it to the Replacement Division. A representative named Kim would contact me that afternoon. She also told me that if I didnt hear anything by 4:30 Central time, I should call them back as their day ended at 5:00 Central time. That would give Kim time to talk to me on the status. When I called back, I talked to a person named Courtney and asked to speak with a supervisor. She informed me that the supervisor was away from his desk. I asked her to either find him or allow me to stay on the phone until he returned. She refused and said the only options I had were to either leave a voice message or she would email him. I informed her that after my experience, I didnt trust them to get back to me. I wanted to speak to him immediately, which I was refused. Eventually, I agreed to have her email him with a copy sent to me, and she put me on hold. I was then connected with Kim, who was completely rude, and told me that they were not going to replace the unit. They were going to issue us a refund of the appliance, and that the paper work would be sent to us on Monday because the end of the day was in 12 minutes. She wouldnt bother to do anything that close to closing. She then told me it would take another week to process the paper work, send it to accounting and then eventually, they would issue us a check. If we are lucky, maybe in two more weeks. As far as the refrigerator is concerned, they dont want it back so we have to also figure out how to dispose of it. So now, we have a bad refrigerator that we cant use. The customer service department has been unprofessional AND irresponsible in handling our case, and we have no immediate resolution in sight. It is unacceptable that customers are being treated this way.

Updated on 03/24/2020: Well this is just a follow up to my last review. Still no change in the fact that LG has the worst customer service. As stated in my last review I bought the microwave last November and after 10 service calls they still refuse to replace the unit, forcing me to take day after day off work as they try and repair the microwave. DO NOT BUY LG is my advice if youre in the market for appliances. I only hit 1 star because it wouldnt let me put none.Original Review: Well I wish I could say my experience was good, but if I had to do it all over I would definitely not choose LG. It started in November of 2019, I was deep in the middle of a whole house remodel and it was time to purchase appliances. I chose LG because they had the look I was wanting and seemed to have decent reviews. So I made my purchase at the Home Depot and set up delivery. They were delivered the next weekend and as they suggested I unboxed everything at once before the delivery driver left and all looked just as beautiful as the ones I had picked out at the store. I was still a week away from actually installing all the appliances so I didnt think to plug each item in to make sure they worked. Thats where the trouble started, the refrigerator, range, and dishwasher all worked great and still do to this day. But when I got the over the range microwave installed and plugged in it wouldnt work. I immediately called home depot who referred me to LG direct. I called LG direct and they said since I waited 72 hours that I would have to have it fixed rather than replaced. Here we are March 1st 2020, 5 service calls, 8 calls on hold with LG, and a pissed off wife, I still dont have a working microwave, and the part they say it needs is backordered. I am beyond pissed off with LG and would definitely not recommend them on the sole reason as they do not stand behind their product. I wish I could return all of the stuff and go with another brand. Ill keep you updated if they make it right. But I have lost all faith in their customer service.

We were building a new house and were looking for appliance packages. We really liked the appliance package and LG refrigerator because it had this cute little window in the door. It was a good price as well, and we liked the refrigerators features. The little window in the door is my favorite. The refrigerator has French doors and I can open just that part, like a little window door, of the top door and keep stuff in there. We had some issues, though, with the water dispenser on the front of it. The repairman called it a continuous water feature. It wouldn’t shut off when you press your water on it. It kept going on with water or ice until you locked it. So we had to have it repaired probably within the first month we had the refrigerator. But since then, it has worked fine. I’m pretty happy with my LG refrigerator.

We bought this refrigerator less than 2 years ago (12/2016). A few weeks ago it stopped cooling. A serviceman from the store where we bought the refrigerator came out to service it, and said the coil with the refrigerant was leaking. BUT, he couldnt fix it because LG only lets its own servicemen fix this problem (according to the serviceman thats because so many LG refrigerators refrigerant coils leak). The serviceman said LG would contact me within 24 hours to set up an appointment. 3 days later we hadnt heard from LG. We again called the store where wed purchased the refrigerator and then said they would call LG directly. Even then (after a week without a refrigerator) LG jerked us around. First, someone would be out the next day. Then 3 days later. After someone finally came and fixed the refrigerator, it stopped working again 3 days later! This time we went directly to the store where we had purchased the model, and they agreed to replace the refrigerator. LG wont do squat to rectify their defective product. Bought an LG refrigerator for 4 years ago. 2 months ago our refrigerator and freezer stopped working. We lost everything in the fridge and freezer. As we no longer had a warranty on it we used our American Home Shield warranty. They sent a technician out to diagnose that it was the compressor. The repairman stated there was 10 year warranty on the compressors because of problems that LG has had. Because of that he couldnt fix our refrigerator LG did not contract with them for warranty work after waiting a week for him to get there. American Home Shield then sent out Sears not to fix the problem but to diagnose it again. That was the end of week two. We then had to wait another week for the compressor to come in and for Sears to come and fix it.3 weeks without a refrigerator or freezer. Living out of A cooler. The 1st technician told us, Dont be surprised if something else goes out because your compressor has made your refrigerator work too hard as it was dying. Sears tech however denied this statement and said no. Once we fix the compressor no problem. Well its now 2 months later my fridge and freezer do not work again. Lost everything again. Took a week for American Home Shield to have Sears come out again for a recall on their original work and he is determined it is the motherboard that is bad and he cant tell if the compressor is bad because the motherboard is not working so well have to wait until the motherboard comes and he fixes it and then we might have to wait again for a new compressor. Once we fix it no problem. BS.Not happy with this LG product. I got it because of all the problems I had with my Frigidaire. Is there not a refrigerator company out there that is selling quality products. So now that Ive lost two freezer full of food two refrigerators fulls of food and living out of a ice chest for now for weeks and more to go Im not a happy camper with LG. Not to mention we go thru bags of ice at $4 a bag and have to put new bag in every other day. So at 4 weeks so far with both repairs LG has cost me $56.00 in ice and we dont even have it fixed yet.

I would never buy this type of range again. The large burners are in the front, where one would place a large stock pot. It is very dangerous to have such a large pot positioned in front. You have to reach over it to get to the smaller pots. Its very dangerous. The reason I bought this range was because it matches the refrigerator. It looks good, but it is difficult to use. I can manage it, because it is just my husband and myself. If I had a young family, I would get rid of it (even though it is new). It could become a hazard with small children around. They could easily pull a large pot over on them. I am constantly vigilant when I am cooking on it and worried I will tip the front pots over on myself. Its not a pleasure to cook anymore!

LG Ultra Capacity WM2101HW Washer Garbage. I purchased this LG washer based upon the reviews of Consumer Reports - BIG MISTAKE. This washer has been loud from day 1 and started leaking about 4 months later. As others have said it unbalances and gives error codes often. I had it repaired once because it stopped draining. A technician visit and parts cost $400 -- that is when I learned that you actually have to drain it yourself. Who designs such a washer in this day and age? Now brown liquid is coming out of the back of the machine and my clothes and sheets smell like sewer after they have been through a complete cycle. I leave the door and soap compartment open between uses. What a waste of money - horrible product. DO NOT BUY LG. I will replace this POS as soon as I can afford.

The vibrations started almost at day one. So I leveled it again with a 4 level and still the walls vibrated (its a load bearing wall 2x12 floor joists 1-1/4 thick flooring). We did not know of the problem until my son came and mentioned that it shouldnt vibrate like this (he has an older model LG), so the calls to LG started and trying to get an in warranty repairman is like pulling your own teeth. So after losing 2 days pay and a third on the way, still there is no fix or reason why its vibrating. LG has said that after 3 attempts, they would either replace/or refund our cost. Well, its still ongoing. I will keep you informed.

No one works on them hardly, read below... Not good experience... On 1/16/2018 my refrigerator stopped cooling & freezing. (Linear Compressor Unit), Model LFXS24623S, purchased for (note, compressor under 10 year warranty). My problems started in in mid-January 2018. I made the call to LG. There is a very good chance that the refrigerator has a compressor issue based on the symptoms per tech support. Tech support provided me with (4) certified LG service companies to call to schedule a service visit. Out of the four companies none of them would take the job. One was out of range, two did not work on the linear compressors and the other was not working with LG at this time.Summary of the long story: Calls to LG tech support were in excess of 15 and multiple to the service companies. Issues: every call to tech support I had to repeat the entire explanation of what happened, seems that the support group does not read all of the CNN# notes. Frustrating time after time. I had to tell the LG support group who could not work on my unit, who already came, who was out of range, etc… Support does not have direct contact with the LG certified companies to get direct feedback to the consumer (me). Support works with your service contract company to place a work order, consumer is not involved. Caused confusion many times. Many delays with parts coming from LG for first service call, caused many delays. Received (3) case numbers **. Should only have one to have all of the notes/history under one case number? Received (2) RNN numbers **. Received (1) APN number **. 3/15/2018 a certified LG service company (Broadway Sales) final took the job from 1 ½ hours away. After review the LC internal compressor unit has a hole that in “not” repairable. Broadway reported back to LG. Another call to LG for a follow up, LG informed me due to the severity they had to have a second certified company verify the issue. Keep in (8) weeks have passed. One – LG barely found a company to service the unit, Second- (8) weeks has passed. Still not fixed working on (12) weeks... 4/4/2018.

LG wasnt my choice and I honestly wouldnt purchase again. Even talking with the individual who did the maintenance on the appliance said that there were a number of those models that had problems. They all looked and appeared that its a nice unit and I was surprised at how quickly the compressor of the refrigerator went out. Ultimately, that was the problem. As far as other products like the LG flat screen that I purchased before, I was pretty satisfied with that. But something went wrong on the refrigerator side.

We purchased an LG machine from Home Depot several months ago. It has broken 5 times. We have had it repaired via phone technicians at LG via wireless and we have had to have an LG technician to the house to fix it. It has just broken again with nice clothing in it soaking wet with soap in them. LG customer service has been horrible. They said they can come next week at the earliest. The representatives were not helpful. When I asked who they reported to in order to escalate the situation to fix the machine and save my clothes, they said Bon-Moo Koo, the CEO in Korea. That is not a helpful problem resolution path. I am very dissatisfied with their product and even more dissatisfied with their customer service team who were awful. I am now working with Home Depot who are being helpful to return the machine and get another one as I cannot use this one as it breaks all the time. I would seriously recommend against getting an LG machine. It has been a horrible experience and wasted hours of my time on the phone.

I originally gave LG a poor product review regarding my LG fridge. The control panel, icemaker, and water dispenser stopped working. It got off to a rough start working with LG customer service. It took a couple of visits from the LG technician to figure out that the left door would have to be replaced. This was an expensive repair. I contacted LG and requested assistance with the cost of the repair. It took a while (about three weeks), but LG stepped up and bought the part and I paid the labor. My fridge is 4 years old and long out of warranty. Its not lost on me that LG didnt have to do anything. LG is the first appliance/electronics company that did anything for me out of warranty. I should also add that the LG technician was very professional and reliable. Overall, LG turn me around from frankly a pissed off customer to a loyal customer. LG will be first on my list next time Im in the market for appliances, televisions, etc. The only reason I didnt give LG a full five stars was it just took so long to get my fridge fixed and it took several phone calls to LG customer service before I found and agent who took and interest and went to bat for me. I think her name was Marsee. Im not sure about the spelling. One last thing, LG does not mark up their parts. I checked. If you have an issue with an LG product, make sure you use LG technicians. If you call and independent outfit, you can expect that they will (in some cases) mark up the parts double.

It will cost $1100 to get fixed!!! Are you kidding ME??? I paid less than that for the washer 18 months ago! This is absolute BS. How can they NOT back their products after only 18 months. Purchased LG fridge couple years ago from Home Depot on clearance. Nice, big, spacious. The ice maker has a silly ice plus button to make more ice. First, the ice compartment is small so the ice plus button is really needed to be on all the time. Second, ice plus button turns off automatically. So if you use a lot ice dont buy one that has an ice plus button. LG should have an ice maker that does not need an ice plus button. Thirdly, the so called water filters you have to purchase from home depot are not oem filters. The OEM filters are high priced and need to be changed every three months to get the water to dispense like it did when it was new. I will not purchase another LG ice & water dispenser on a fridge. For future reference buy simple less headaches.

When I told them it sounded like the bearings were going out in it, they told me it doesnt have bearings and we caused it to leak by not keeping it clean, so I wipe it almost every time and it still leaks. They were here 3 times and never did anything about it. Our warranty is up and were stuck with a lemon. We bought it from Sears. I dont think well be shopping there anymore. Wish that I had found this site prior to buying their top loading washer. Bought from Home Depot 4 months ago. Left one day with washer running, when we returned it had stopped with error code, washer had not drained. Looked at error code which said that hose was possibly crimped. Pulled washer away from wall and insured that they was nothing wrong. Called LG and girl had me do the over the phone diagnostics. Bottom line, she said that it needed service and they would schedule in 3-5 business days.Only call we received from them was a company name & phone # left on answering machine, with no further information. Sent a email asking what the hell is this, you are supposed to be scheduling the service, not me. Couple of days later this service company called and left messages on the answering machine, wanted us to call them to schedule a service appointment. I called on Friday afternoon, and they would have a service tech our way on Wed. I inquired what if it needs parts will they be able to repair by Fri. reply: no way as they would have to order parts. I inquired if they provide service after 4:30 pm or on weekends as we were both returning to work next week. She says no; in other words they wanted us to take time off from work to repair a product under warranty. I told her to forget it I would recall LG, which I did and explained to the girl that they needed to find a service company that can accommodate our work scheduled, she said that she would call back for scheduled service in 3-5 business days. Last we have heard from them and Home Depot says we just sold you the washer you, LG delivered it and any issues you have you have to take up with LG. WRONG answer, Bottom line you have three choices: 1) Insure that we receive repair on the existing washer , 2) Come get the washer as you havent been completely paid for it yet and refund what you have been paid, 3) give us a new replacement or once again you dont get the balance. All 3 scenarios is that it is still under warranty and you were paid the money not LG. As it stands, intend to file official complaint with Consumer Protection Agency, Federal Trade Commission & Attorney Generals office if for nothing else other than formal matter of record.

Since purchasing this refrigerator just a few years ago and thinking it would be great only a few months afterwards came the first compressor failure. Having to call customer service somewhere Across the Universe and get in touch with anyone who is willing to come out and fix it was a chore. Apparently most repair places do not want to work with LG because of these issues and their difficulty in compliance. And when they came out and checked it then the compressor took weeks to get there. Each time. This happened at least three more times and I think four because one time they claimed it was something else but three times it has been a compressor failure. So much so that the technician who came recently to the house actually had a compressor on his truck because he said nine times out of 10 the refrigerator has a compressor failure again and again so they are carrying them on their trucks. We have gone weeks and weeks without a refrigerator. I have never in my life had a refrigerator with such poor service. In fact never had to deal with anything with any of my refrigerators until this expensive supposedly excellent refrigerator. I promise I will never again purchase another one of these and I am insisting my husband get in touch with the manufacturers to replace this refrigerator as it has now failed on all counts and MEETS CRITERIA FOR THE LEMON LAW and it is a TOTAL LEMON.***It is impossible to deal with something that is going to ruin your food over and over again and leave you without any recourse until someone gets there again to fix it and you never know when its going to happen. BUT you do know its going to happen and it will happen and probably sooner than later. Debra Asheville NC

So we installed a new LG range last month during a kitchen remodel. Huge capacity oven, which I appreciate, but the chime indicating preheating target temperature is 100 degrees too early. It ultimately reaches target temp, but about 10 minutes later. The first casserole baked gave us mild food poisoning as we erroneously believed it had cooked according to the recipe. In fact, it was placed in the oven 100 degrees below temp, lost heat in the process of opening the door, then was never cooked long enough. Now I have an internal gauge hung in the middle of the oven space, which I have to illuminate with a flashlight shone through the door, to monitor temp. What a colossal waste of $1300.

7/17/2017 purchased a Sears Elite Stainless Steel side-by-side Grab and Go refrigerator model 51863. The product had the Sears brand but found it was made by LG for Sears. 8/8/2019 freezer and refrigerator sides were warm and melting. A Sears and a none Sears serviceman (2) came and diagnosed the problem to be the linear compressor which was made by LG had gone out. This was a new beautiful looking refrigerator just over over 2 years old. Paid $1751 for it and it would cost $1000.00 to repair. Wrote Sears Vice President of Customer Experience. Received a phone call from their Executive Complaint Department and spoke with a Debra (or Deborah) who after lengthy conversations told me that since I did not have an extended warranty, there was nothing they could do.I was livid. Researched and found hundreds of customers who has had this problem and also found there is a class action law suit pending awaiting to see if the courts would approve it. After the poor treatment from Sears, and after having read that some replaced compressors went out again, I opted to buy a none LG brand refrigerator. Spent total of $3000.00 here.3/9/2017 purchased an LG 65 smart TV from Sams Club. Model: 65UH615A for $1000.00. I have 4 other TVs, none of which are LG brands. The oldest TV is over 12 years old and I watch it the most and have had no problems with it or any of the others. 4/25/2020 the LG model went out. Yes, the TV that I have had just over 3 years! I get a black screen. Researched online and it appears the motherboard is shot. Have a call in to a repair person. WHAT is UP with these LG products? How disappointing is this. I really thought that LG was a good brand but my experience dictates otherwise. 2018 purchased an LG Stylo 4 from Sprint and am now having problem with this phone when I log it up. This phone is just over 2 years old. I am so very disappointed in the LG BRAND and will make no more purchases by LG. I also will not refer this product due to my bad experiences.

We had this beautiful fridge installed in June of 2012 and right away the freezer compartment spilled ice all over the floor when you opened the freezer drawer. The repairman messed with the seal on one visit, then replaced the seal on another visit and finally replaced the freezer door on the third visit. Problem with that was then resolved. Was gone for three months and back home for summer and the freezer quit working on July 4 - water all over the hard wood floors and freezer food thawed--they came out and did repairs on a fan. A week later the same thing happened - came out - needs new compressor. Came out with the right part no. on the box, but when he went to install it, wrong compressor - could not even restart the fridge section - so without fridge too. Yesterday they installed the correct compressor and freezer wont go below 29 degrees. American has been very good to do repairs and are trying to help us. We also bought the extended warranties, but that company has been somewhat difficult to work with. It is like no one knows who should do what. Very unhappy with this product. Now I have seen many others experiencing the same issues. Should the consumer have to suffer inconveniences and perhaps even damage to their home PLUS pay for the product and warranties especially when LG surely knows they have problems? I feel badly for the repairmen, but am wondering why companies continue to sell these products when obviously there are significant issues. What are we to do?

I purchased a Blast Chill LG refrigerator/freezer in March 2013, paid $3,700 for it. Of course the warranty has expired. A week ago, my ice maker stopped working & the refrigerator started freezing my produce. I called LG & was told to adjust the settings. The ice maker still did not work but the freezing stopped. Over the weekend (on a Saturday), my refrigerator was not cooling properly & the food in the top drawer of the freezer was melting. I called LG repair & was told that someone would come to my home on Monday between 1-5 pm but would call with a 2 hour window. They assured me that they had diagnosed the problem (my refrigerator has a system that they can use to diagnose using my cell phone). They assured me that the repairman would have all the parts with him and the cost would be $225 flat rate for parts and service. At 3:34 pm, I called LG to let them know I had not heard from anyone and they told me that they would text their repairman. An hour later, I still had not heard & called back. They again texted the repairman. Within 5 minutes, I received a call & was told that he was 20 minutes from my home. The repairman arrived and spent less than 10 minutes, all the while speaking to someone on the phone who was directing him on the review of the refrigerator. He told me that he had to order a part, a Grill Fan Assembly, and that he did not have the part available on the truck. He told me that the customer service operators were overseas and had no idea what they were doing. He told me he would squeeze me in the following day for the repair between 1-5 pm.At 3:45 pm, I sent him a text using the number he called me with the day before. No callback. I texted the number again at 4:45 pm. No return. I called LG who told me they would text him. I got a call within 5 minutes & the tech told me he would be at my home in 18 minutes. He arrived and changed the Grill Fan Assembly (while in and out of his truck talking on the phone) and left about 6:30 pm telling me that the refrigerator should start cooling. Needless to say, I woke up this morning and the food in the freezer is all defrosted, and the refrigerator/freezer is warmer today than yesterday, and the defrosted food is leaking all over the floor.I called LG repair this morning & spoke to someone in India (same as the first two times I called), who told me that the best they could do would be to send someone out on Friday or Saturday, 3 days from now. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that no one was available & that I could check the website for new available times for repair. I have now called a local repair tech and they have assured me that they will be out this morning to assist me with this problem. I would rather pay more to have the problem fixed correctly than to deal with LG. My entire kitchen is KitchenAid except for the refrigerator, I liked the LG better when I was looking for new appliances. WHAT A MISTAKE!

We purchased our refrigerator in Dec 2018, and it decided to quit on us this week; suspect it is the compressor. We called LG 2 days ago and finally got a return call from the repair company stating they can’t get to us until June 1st. LG only has 1 company in the entire area of Phoenix that does the repairs. How insane is that!So now, all of the freezer and fridge food we purchased to hold us off during this stay at home crisis is spoiling and thawing - into the garbage it goes. LG’s solution is to give us a $200 allowance to buy a mini fridge until the repair can be made. What’s up with that? That won’t cover the dollar amount for the food we have in the fridge/freezer and the mini fridge certainly won’t be able to store all that we have in the fridge/freezer. Then we’ll have the hassle of getting rid of a mini fridge after the refrigerator is fixed. There is a class action lawsuit. I guess LG figures what’s the point of fixing fridges quickly or compensating folks for spoiled food when they’ll just have to pay out later...probably less to the consumers, right? **

LG offered to send a repair service out to fix the washer for nearly $500, which is almost as much as the washer cost. When I mentioned that the problem seems widespread online and that LG was offering no-cost service calls to others experiencing the same problem (it appears to be a consistent and easy fix of replacing the board and stator), they refused to offer the same service and insisted the repair would include a hefty fee. The lint cover protrude into the dryer instead of sitting flush. This protrusion causes the damage to my clothes and can also cause the additional buildup of lint. Which is a fire hazard. Very unhappy! After reading a ton of reviews sounds like I am not the only unhappy customer.

Bought this LG-fridge (24726S) about 2 yrs. ago at Best Buy. First Problems occurred after one year, now after 2 years fridge doesnt cool (freezer temp at 33°F). Five tries to get LG customer Service failed after waiting time of more than 15 minutes. Worst customer Service. // And: we have the same Problems with our LG fridge in our German home. For sure: never ever again a LG product!!! Where are your made in the USA products???

On April 2012, we purchased an LG over-the-stove microwave Model LMH2016ST for $320. The warranty was only good for one year but we thought we were buying a good product so went ahead and purchased it. On August 2015, the Primary Interlock Switch on the door broke so we called a recommended appliance repairman who replaced it for a total of $170.75. The same switch broke again on February 2016, one year later, and the same repairman told us he has to order a new part and this will cost another $170.75. I called LG Company and registered a complaint about this happening twice and they told me I should have paid attention to the one year warranty at the time of purchase. They do not stand behind their products. We will not repair this microwave because we have already put $237 into this product that appears to be a lemon. This is the last LG product of any kind that we will purchase. We also had a brand new $3000 refrigerator break down the first week we purchased it. Luckily that very expensive part was covered by the warranty at the time. So far, our LG Range is still working. We have lost all confidence in LG products and will not buy anything else from this company.

LG WM2301HW Washing Machine has been nothing but problems. I started a load and smelled something burning. I found the washing machine not working ... its burning from within, black burning internally - arched inside on the wires - caught fire. LG does not want to recognize that there is a problem... This is a huge legality and liability for LG. No machine should catch on fire... LG needs to make it right. Could this model be a recall? I found a lot of bad reviews on this model.

I bought my fridge in 2017 and the compressor died in 2021. They came to repaired 4 days after because the technician was nice enough to move my appt earlier, they told me that they could gave me food compensation. I called them after the fridge was repaired and first the way that the customer service handle this cases are terrible, LG subcontract this phone calls to another country I would say INDIA and is very hard to understand them, then they start this process with text messages with questions and I just got one text, I never got the following question. I called them several times and the last time I called the customer service helped me, she never advised that she was going to send this claim manually. She told me that somebody would contact me to see if I was agree with the food compensation, next thing I know I received $100 check in the mail for a whole fridge food loss, I called them and I spoke with the supervisor Ann, she was very rude and reiterated times told me that my warranty expired and LG was nice enough to repair my fridge and they don’t do food losses that they sent me $100 dollar check because they were nice, she told me that there is nothing I can do because the check was issued. They never told me that if an agent do this manually automatically they issued $100 and don’t review my case just send $100. Be aware. Never submit your food loss claim manually. They will send you $100 check. They kept telling me that LG don’t send food losses claim. That if they sent me money is because they were nice and because I have my fridge bad for 5 days $100 was enough. I lost a full fridge and what it hurts me the most I lost 100 bags of breastmilk for my baby because of this. I can’t believe they got to decide how much they can give and they don’t live even in U.S. They told me that there is nothing I can do and LG won’t send more. This fridge is in a lawsuit that is why they do food compensation and also they extended the warranty. LG customer service is the worse. Case # **

Extremely unhappy is a understatement! Started rusting after a couple of years surrounding the bleach dispenser and now at just 5 years old it is continuing to rust around the entire washer to the soap dispenser. Ive never seen anything like this happen ever in any washer Ive previously owned. Not every cycle washes correctly! I would call it a manufacturers defect but LG does not see it that way! After this experience I will never purchase another LG product again!

We purchased this refrigerator (LG Top Freezer Refrigerator Model # LTC22350 SS100) less than 2 years ago and have been extremely disappointed with its quality from the beginning. We also have an LG cook-top stove and my wife is ready to toss both of them. The refrigerator has plastic drawer runner tracks that are paper-thin and not very durable at all. The stove had to have the touch control panel replaced in the first year. Also, the oven temperature cannot be maintained and must be regularly changed or regulated. We will not buy any more LG products. We just recently bought a new TV and guess what brand it was not?

LG Wave Washer and Dryer (Granite) - This is the second time the drum in the dryer has come loose. The first time because we left a review, LG repaired the issue only for it to happen again. My husband is a Quality Engineer and deals with these things all the time. This dryer should have been recalled and the washer is rusted really bad. This set cost me a lot of money and the dryer is now too dangerous to use because there is a huge hole in the drum and you could cut yourself. It was beautiful to look at but does not work well. All my clothes and sheets tangle... So frustrated.

Our refrigerator is less than three years old. Bought it from local Sears store. Right after Christmas it began to not cool as well and finally quit all together new years. Called Sears. Local guy came out but out of warranty. Also they are closing or store so they couldnt service. Sears guy told me it was the compressor and that LG AND SAMSUNG both knew had bad compressors but they would sell them anyway. It is now four weeks later and service tech due out next week. After reading reviews I do not hold out much hope. I will never every buy LG again. Every LG appliance Ive purchased has been crap. Just replaced a 3 year old washing machine too.

Bought an LG washer (Model WT5001CW) 1/2/11 from Home Depot with the in-home extended warranty in effect 1/2/12-1/2/16. The panel under the bleach tray has started to completely erode and even showed signs early on. Received a total run around and was told rust is not covered under the warranty. I tried to explain that it was due to defective materials. This is a known issue by LG and they refuse to take responsibility. Home Depot refers me to Federal Warranty Service Corporation/Assurant for the extended warranty and they refer me to Home Depot. Never again will I purchase anything from LG.

Our LG fridge compressor went out after 3 years, so no cooling/freezing at all. Called LG support and it’s under warranty. They gave 10 repair places that they would pay for the repair. Of the 10, only 2 even serviced my Chicagoland area (not a rural area with very few companies). Of the 2 that did, the earlier either could come out was in a month. So I panicked and called a local spot that could. Over $700. LG will not honor my warranty because I used someone outside of who they approved even though everyone they approved couldn’t come and fix it within a months time. There is a class action lawsuit going on against LG for this exact reason. I’ll never purchase LG again.
