We upgraded to a stainless steel Samsung gas range two years ago. I loved it at first... it was pretty and new, however at the one year anniversary I noticed that the bottom pan of the oven was cracking and peeling. I contacted Samsung, but alas, we were one week out of warranty but they would be happy to send us a new part for 79.00 plus installation. I said “No thank you,” because I might have to order a number of these because they only last one year. Upon cleaning my stove about two months ago, I noticed that the knobs are all cracked and one is broken... the plastic shaft (that is painted to look like metal) all defective. Probably due to the fact that they are in metal knobs… attached to metal shaft and the exhaust from the oven is directly below the knobs. So! I called Samsung and received the usual mantra that the range is out of warranty, but they would be happy to send me some more to the tune of $55.00 per knob plus shipping. I was on the phone for at least 45 minutes, but receiving no satisfaction. THEN! I got call from customer service a week later, that they would indeed give me a one time warranty on the knobs and to expect them to come shortly. I was really happy and looking forward to the knobs arriving. Well... we are one month out from receiving the call that they would replace the knobs, so I called Samsung to follow up. After sitting on the phone for another 45 minutes, I was told that Customer Service had sent the order to the parts department and the parts department denied the claim. Of course, no one called or emailed me.So, they told me I could order new ones. No thank you! Two weeks ago I was going to bake an item, and my oven would not heat up. We purchased the extended warranty from (H.H. Gregg… who is currently out of business!) so I called the warranty company who sent out a service man who replaced the oven igniter. The service man told me that most ovens are made this way... the bottom plate chips and cracks... the knobs break and crack... and to be on the watch for the convection fan because that will be the next thing. This range is just a piece of junk... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER purchase a Samsung appliance. We thought we were purchasing a quality appliance... guess the joke is on us!!

The original fridge I had purchased had a defective water/ice dispenser. Initially the Hudsons Bay wanted to have it serviced rather than replaced, despite it being delivered in that condition. The Samsung service people didnt show up for the booked appointment. After fighting with the Hudsons Bay to replace the fridge 9 months later, after taking the complaint to The Star, through the Hudson Bay Executive Service Department arrangements were made for the fridge to be replaced. On the second Samsung fridge that was delivered, the right door on the fridge is in excess of 1/2 inch from the top of the fridge, right across the whole door and in excess of 1/2 lower, both on the top and bottom of the right door than the left door.Samsung claimed it was a leveling issue, sent me instructions on how to level it and told me to do it myself. Every individual I consulted with agreed it is impossible for it to be a leveling issue; it is a manufacturing defect. The fridge is under warranty and despite calling back and speaking with a supervisor, Samsung has not responded and will not deal with their defective product. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG FRIDGE OR ANY PRODUCTS FROM SAMSUNG!!!

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in 2013 from Lowes. Initially it worked fairly well, however, just like everyone else that has purchased this model, error codes such as E9 started in less than 6 months of use. I watched the videos online and can now take it apart like a professional. Now it is broken again, in a new and inventive way. The rubber parts inside have become soft and need to be replaced. I hope that is the only problem, but doubt it. I purchased this model because it was highly rated as quiet. Yes, it is quiet, especially when it doesnt work.

We purchased a Samsung SMH9187 microwave one year ago (along with a dishwasher and fridge). Weve had the SE error. My husband fixed that by cleaning the sensors in the control panel. Then the door latch broke. He fixed that too after watching a DIY video. Now the microwave is turning itself on at random last night at 3am. Similar problems with the dishwasher and refrigerator. Wont recommend this to anyone!

Horrible. Bought Samsung fridge, dishwasher and microwave approximately 3 years ago. The freezer had to be repaired last year, out of warranty of course. Now the ice/water dispenser is showing rust on the outside of our pretty white fridge. The microwave and dishwasher are both dead. Error codes on the microwave and the dishwasher just cycles on and off without actually running the wash. Samsung customer service was ZERO help since the appliances are all off of warranty. Our own repairman says they will cost $150- $250 a piece to fix. Appliances should last longer than three years when we invested thousands of dollars in them!! No more Samsung EVER and we will make sure all our family and friends buy Otherwise as well!

We purchased this Samsung Stainless Steel Model DW80F800UWS from Best Buy as a package deal along with a fridge, oven and washer/dryer. This dishwasher has been the only problem and has been defective in the first two months after our purchase. We had a drainage error code problem which a local company contracted with Samsung came out and replaced the part. After 6 months, they had to come out again and replace test another part. These both were under warranty. A third time the same sensor had gone out and they said it wasnt under warranty and that we would have to pay $350 to fix. This was almost half the price of the product. We could not afford to fix the problem and after leaving it sit for 6 months and hand washing dishes I decided to test it to see if it would work and it has ran 5 full cycles. My only guess is that the sensor has to dry out. So after every time I wash I leave the door open to air dry the unit and wait almost 24 hours before loading it up and running it. This is a pain and I know that my working unit will soon give me that dreaded error code again and Im back to hand washing dishes. Samsung definitely should have a class action lawsuit against them for knowingly having installed faulty sensors that give out immediately and making owners annoyed but happy at a free immediate repair on them until warranty expires and then we have to spend hundreds on a part that probably cost them a few bucks to make. Id also like to include that his unit has never successfully cleaned dishes. There have always been food residue along with wet dishes after the cycle has completed. I actually had a repairmen tell me that with this unit I needed to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, they told me to not use tabs but to use powder so I could add twice the amount of dishwasher cleaner needed to break down food particles. I also need to run the kitchen faucet awhile before starting to get the water hot it would wash better. I, like an idiot did all of these things. Maybe if I stand on one leg and twirl around it might make it work also.

Model # RH25H5611SR/AA purchased April 2016 $1244 (tax/delivery). Nothing but problems starting right after 1 year warranty expired. Repairs are now out of warranty. Replaced temp sensor on fridge side, but coils continue to ice over and internal temp will not get above 50 F even though display says otherwise. Keep getting 2 error codes: 21 C, 22 C. Refrigerator side started malfunctioning 6 months ago and now freezer side. Now icemaker will make ice and then melt a few days later. Such a disappointment and customer Service Department has been no help. Rip off!!

Suddenly after 4.5 years the controls on our Samsung model RB194ACRS fridge
Suddenly after 4.5 years the controls on our Samsung model RB194ACRS fridge have gone wonky. The freezer goes away down below the set temperature, the temperature indicator on the door gives the wrong temperature reading, the child lock is on, though not selected. As a consequence the crispers freeze and the defrost water running down the back wall freezes in or under the crispers. The drain issue can be solved by defrosting or adding a part, but with $300 invested in a new fridge sensor, a new freezer sensor and a new motherboard, we are at the end. The authorized Samsung service people do not believe that a second replacement motherboard will change anything and so it is new fridge time. It wont be a Samsung.

At what point does a company read these and take action? Purchased Family Hub French Door 2.5 months ago. Freezer failed, lost everything, missed 4 half days of work dealing with 3rd party service companies who didnt know what was wrong or how to fix it. 14 calls with Samsung service department. 12 emails, in the meantime ice machine failed and now the upper fridge area failing. At $2,499 youd think they would care/value the experience and take action, but were on day 38 and still waiting for a remedy. I stood at Home Depot and personally persuaded 7 customers not to buy this fridge and they listened. Your ** product and service cost me lost wages and time during failed service calls so I figured Im only halfway to the break even point of costing you fridge sales. And I realize nobody in your service department gets paid enough to care, but hopefully someone in your product management and marketing team care enough to read reviews.

Samsung RS261 - We are on our 5th repair for the Samsung side-by-side with water and ice cube dispenser. The machine has flooded our house 2 times and has had water problems since 4 months into owning it. We have an extended warranty and this is getting old. The fan makes an awful noise, food goes bad. The fans in the back freeze, the water system breaks. We call service, they come order parts, and 3 or 4 days later come back and repair it. Rinse and repeat. There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung for these POS refrigerators. By the way, how do you rate 0 stars? Im sick and tired of this refrigerator breaking.

Last summer, I called Samsung and told them what was wrong. They told me to call a repairman and they were not liable for it cause it was not under warranty. This is a manufacturing defect and is happening to a high amount of refrigerators. After paying $200 to get it fixed, six months later, the same problem occurred. Can the government get involved in this matter? Thank You.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2016. I have since had to manually defrost the coil and fan three times and as I am writing this, the fan is running noisily and tomorrow I will have to pull off the back panel behind the shelves and defrost it yet again with a hairdryer because this build up keeps the refrigerator from cooling. I am a disabled man living mostly on a fixed income. The refrigerator cost roughly $3000 which took me a year to pay off. I called customer service and the rep told me that he could do nothing about it. I asked to speak to his supervisor to see what recourse I had if any and was met with extreme hostility. He outright refused to resolve my issue or offer anything helpful. Samsung needs to teach its people what professional customer service looks like. I did not appreciate the condescending tone of their customer support agents. I also work for the largest home goods and building material retailer in the United States and have actively informed customers not to purchase any Samsung appliance until they improve the quality of their product and customer support. I would suggest that others provide the same service to family and friends who need to spend their hard earned money on a new appliance. Recently, we needed a new dishwasher and purchased a GE which my wife and I are very pleased with. Presently, we will never buy any Samsung product whether it be a household appliance, phone, tablet, TV or anything else. After the “convenient” freezer door handle, being only supported through plastic, broke off for the second time and after having manually defrosted the fan, coil, and heating element for the third time in two weeks, I bit the bullet and bought a new fridge. It seems you have to purchase the entire freezer drawer to fix one plastic piece. By the way, the Whirlpool I purchased has performed great with all the features of the Samsung for about 40% less cost. I have just finished writing a rather lengthy letter to the consumer protection agency documenting the numerous issues and failed CS conversations. I advise anyone thinking of doing the same be sure to document all calls (i.e. date, time, rep name, etc.). Take pictures with your phone of all visible issues including the rust spots your stainless probably has because of its apparent poor quality. I am hopeful someone may read this who can help...

Ive had my refrigerator quite a few years and every time I clean it I get frustrated. I asked for help before and never got anywhere. My problem is when I pull out to wash either the vegetable or fruit drawer to wash them there is a space in the bottom front of the drawer where garbage accumulates like seeds from peppers or a piece of parsley, etc. and there is no way we can remove the front part of the drawer in order to clean that out. I chatted with Support and I was told there is no way to remove the front part of the drawers to wash. Its my only complaint about my refrigerator. All is well otherwise. I was told my feedback would be forwarded to the Company.

We purchased a French door refrigerator with the top and bottom ice makers. After a year or so, we noticed a lot of frost build up in the freezer and the drawer was increasingly difficult to open. Shortly after that, large chunks of flat ice began falling on the floor. After a little investigation, it was discovered ice was building up on the bottom of the freezer door and continues to be a problem. We have to defrost every 2 months or so.

We bought this Samsung convection microwave oven and had it two weeks and inside Glass Shattered. Very very dangerous especially when a child is standing in front of it. Very very disappointed with Samsung on their products. We bought all the Black Stainless Samsung products, Microwave, stove, dishwasher, fridge, washer & dryer. And within days there is scratches on every item we bought. We spend over $1,000 and within one week everything we owned looked like it was already 2 years old due to the awful scratches. We waited 3 months to even get them, they had to get them from Korea. Now have to wait another 3 months for a microwave which out of 500 complaints from glass shattering the new one will probably shattering again. Because Samsung wont recall this horrible item. Customers DONT buy Samsung especially ANY Black Stainless.

Ice maker doesnt work nor has it since the guy left after putting it in. Water flows into the crisper drawer & floods our kitchen every so many days. UNREAL for a $2000 cost put extended warranty! I wouldnt buy Samsung again. We also have a plasma tv & sound board neither work correctly!

Buy this fridge if you do not care about hygiene and germs brewing in your fridge. Grime gets stuck in every bin and drawer with no means of cleaning the nooks and crannies. You will eventually end up breaking the cheap plastic in order to have the smell gone. Dry crusted debris get stuck often in the front of door bins and the veggie drawers. These parts have 3 layers to it with no means of taking those apart but to break. The whole world knows now icemaker is a big sham for Samsung. Only worked for couple months. I have done everything samsung recommended but it is a company with very poor technical and customer support. Class action in process for that one. Samsung spends their budget on marketing than on engineering and design hence a poor product. My model no is rf24fsedbsr (French door twin).

We purchased a Samsung Gas range in 2014. The stove cooks perfectly and we are overall very pleased with it. However whenever we do a self clean following the manual instructions to a ‘T’, the bottom ignitor fails afterwards and I can no longer bake or roast. This has happened three times and we have had to replace the bottom igniter 3 times. Fortunately we have a gas technician friend who can replace the igniter for us. It’s costs us $80 a pop but would have cost $300 each time if we’d paid for a Samsung technician. I have sent an email with product serial number, etc. and photo of burnt out igniter and had an instant reply from customer service asking for more information. The strange thing is, when I try and reply to the email or try to send another email to Samsung, the emails are immediately blocked. I ended up doing an online chat with a service technician who informed me I had to pay a $5 refundable charge with all my credit card information in order to receive a reply (answering questions they had asked me for!!!). Total run around and obviously a deliberate action by Samsung in order to avoid dealing with a known fault with this particular gas range. One disgusted Customer.

On July 2016 I purchase all my kitchen appliances from Samsung at Best Buy. Unfortunately its not a year of purchase and I had a very bad experience which I believe its not fair for any consumer. First, they advertises that the appliances are stainless steel, which is not. It is hard to clean. On the range side the flat top is also hard to clean and it scratches easily, which it shouldnt happen due to the fact that that is a every day use item with multiple use. I dont accept the fact that they are saying that it is cosmetic and also is tear and wear before a year of purchase. I live alone and barely cook for this to happen. Im very disappointed with this product and the way that they handle and washes off the responsibility of the quality of their products. This is not an item that costs $100 or less we are speaking of an item that the price is over a $1,000. Unfortunately according to them there is nothing to be done.

Samsung Refrigerator RF 267 Series. We have been very unhappy with our Samsung Refrigerator. We bought it approx 6 years ago and have numerous expensive repairs. A new refrigerator should not require costly repairs to keep it running. Our last repair replaced the guts of the refrigerator and an ice maker part - approx $600. This is just to keep the thing running! We have had to replace 3 of the plastic side shelves (at a heft cost) because they are so cheap that they just broke apart with regular use. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR unless you dont mind constantly putting money into it.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator less than 4 years ago. Began having problems right away with cube vs. crushed ice. Then within first year ice maker would freeze up. Almost impossible to remove ice bin on ice maker when it freezes up. Have had it repaired twice for hefty service fees. The only solution now is to replace the ice maker with the same crappy design or purchase a new refrigerator which would never be a Samsung. I have contacted Samsung several times and they have never responded. I am extremely disappointed with this manufacturer.

DW80H9930US - My Samsung dishwasher was installed on October 25, 2014. The first call for repair was made on December 5th for a persistent water leak from the bottom of the door. The repair was made on Dec. 26th in which the venting system in the door was replaced. The next repair call was made on Dec. 31st for the same water leaking problem. The repair was made on Jan. 9, 2015 in which the venting system gasket was reseated. The next repair call was made Jan. 10th for the same water leaking issue from the bottom of the door. On Jan. 16th, the service man placed an order for a door latch replacement. On February 6th, the door latch mechanism was replaced. Water leaking and the door popping open without error codes mid-cycle continued. The most recent repair took place on March 14th, where the repairman replaced the whole door. No more water leaking has been noticed, however, one month after this repair, the door continues to pop open mid-cycle without any error codes. The time remaining does appear and flashes. I close the door, and it starts up again and with fingers crossed it finishes, but not without multiple door popping open episodes. Ive checked the strainer in the base and its not clogged with food particles. The top rack does roll forward, and Ive seen another posting about it becoming disconnected from the sprayer mounting at the back of the dishwasher wall. Perhaps this is the reason the dishwasher continues to stop mid-cycle without displaying error codes. My anger is with Samsung, not with P.C. Richard & Sons performance. I dont know, but one thing is for sure, when my 5 year warranty has expired (thank God, I had the smarts to purchase one), this dishwasher is going to the curb and I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance, nor will I recommend their products to anyone!Updated on 09/25/2015: the dishwasher seemed fixed after the whole door replacement back in March 2015, however, it has begun leaking again (mid-August 2015) from the lower left area at the bottom of the door (the same area where it leaked from the start).

Samsung OTR microwave Model SMH9207st - Wow, where to begin! I believe I bought this microwave in August of 2013. I will explain later why I dont know the exact date. In December of last year I got the dreaded SE code. I called Samsung (after reading all the horrible reviews about my microwave) and told them I was getting the dreaded code. They said since my microwave was over a year old, the warranty had expired and there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to superiors and went through four of them and they all told me there was nothing they could do. Sooo I threw away the receipt, the owners manual and the mounting screws. He took down the microwave and I told him to take the stupid thing to the dump. Luckily he hadnt done it yet because a couple days later I received an email from Samsung saying that they were going to pay for a one time parts and labor fix.A company called me and set up date and time to come out. The tech came out and noticed that my microwave had scratches in the bottom and said it was a fire hazard and he didnt know if they would fix or not. I have heard online about the glass plate wobbling so maybe that is how it got scratched. They called back and said they ordered a new door and I would have to pay for the coating paint to cover the scratches and also the mounting screws. Tech came out and the door had the wrong connections and wouldnt work. Had to reorder. Came out today, replaced the door in a couple minutes and told me he was through...everything was working...clock, light, etc. As he walked out the door I opened the door and closed it and it DIED! I called him back in and he made a phone call and said he would have to reorder another door! Going on almost three months so far and still no working microwave. Luckily a friend had an OLD $50 microwave that she let me use and it has worked wonderfully! I need to know how to join class action lawsuit. I just want a different microwave! FRUSTRATED!

Less than 2 months after this was delivered rust has developed all around the water and ice dispenser. We called Samsung and they promised a replacement door. It never arrived. It is now 6 months later and they now claim they never replace products for cosmetic damage. So, basically they are saying that it is perfectly normal for a $3000+ refrigerator to rot away in less than a year and that this is expected wear and tear. In addition the ice maker has quit functioning. If you call support and get Shatavia, an executive for escalation, assuming you had the patience to wait on hold for an hour - just hang up. She is useless for help. She will obsequiously apologize and then basically tell you that she isnt going to do anything to address the fact that you just flushed your money down the toilet. In summary in the past year I have had the following products from Samsung fail: 1: refrigerator: rusted door and failed ice maker. 2: dish washer: Water level sensor warnings. Unable to complete a wash cycle. Works maybe one time in 8. 3: Galaxy Note 2 : exploded, bursting the screen while charging overnight. Not one of these products did Samsung stand behind. So, if you have several thousand dollars just lying around, and you simply feel your life simply wont be complete without products that rust, quit, or exploded at random, then by all means buy Samsung. For the rest of us not quite ready for the crazy bin, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I have a Samsung French door refrigerator model #rf26vabbp. It is about 6 years old. It constantly freezes up in back. I had technician come out in first year but it was unthawed before they got there and worked again. I called Samsung and their suggestion was to turn off and let unthaw and a technician could come out. I think should be recall because so many of these refrigerators have same problem. I do not think should have to clear refrigerator out every other month to unthaw and fix problem.

We bought a Samsung Refrigerator, model RF260BEAESR, under 5 years ago. Its cooling system completely failed one night ruining the entire contents of the fridge and freezer. We are a family of 5 so it wasnt half full either. Since then there have been 3 repair attempts with each resulting in more part failures and more parts ordered. It produces a horrendous chemical/oil stench when plugged in and I cant imagine thats ok to breathe for my three children. Its been a month with no fridge and enough is enough. Just replace the thing already, admit it was a terrible product and lets move on.DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS. All repair persons have said same thing, terribly made, they do not last, and they are a pain to deal with. Save yourself the headache and go with a different brand. Hopefully Lowes will honor their warranty and replace the lemon already and do the right thing. Thats why we bought the warranty and why they are offered, right????

We purchased 6 Samsung appliances for two new units before Christmas of 2015 and took delivery in the beginning of February 2016. It is a brand new house, brand new appliances. When we peel the protective film off the door, a dent was discovered. Call Samsung, they quoted us the 48 hour policy which stated that if there was anything wrong cosmetically with the Fridge, it must be reported within 48 hours. This policy was never communicated to us. If this policy is so important, it should have been communicated to us at time of purchase and again at the point of delivery. The fridge was delivered at the end of the day. The plumber that was to install the fridge was on holiday until a week later, we did not want to peel off the protective film until the fridge is installed and move into the proper location. When the film was peeled off there was a dent on the door which was clearly a factory mishap and there is nothing they will do. Extremely frustrating and disappointing with the whole experience.

We had our brand new refrigerator delivered yesterday. This morning realized the refrigerator part was really not cooling off enough. Checked the degrees in it and it registered 50. We called Samsung and was told we had to go through where we purchased and they in turn contacted Samsung. Samsung at first tried to say 50 degrees was acceptable. We went down to Home Depot with the manual and asked where does it say that. After a number of phone calls Samsung has agreed to replace it but a new delivery one month from now! They leave you high and dry and could care less you are without a refrigerator and why would I want it repaired. I forgot to mention the handle was broken too! At this point I want Home Depot to come pick up the refrigerator and Ill pick out a new one. Not a Samsung brand. Customer service does not care about the consumer! Will never buy that brand again!

We purchased a suite of samsung appliances to upgrade our kitchen. We have had problems with literally every piece. Never again. We have the DMT800RHS. This dishwasher has never dried acceptably since day one. It usually leaves food particles. We have learned to inspect dishes as we remove them. We have a perpetual drying mat on the counter. We leave the door slightly ajar when not in use to keep the unit dry. It seems to cut down on the odors. We run a vinegar clean cycle every other month to keep the drains clean. This seems to have solved the intermittent drain code problem. We wipe the seal with a rag every week to prevent sludge build up and seal leaks. My 20 year old car requires less maintenance. After reading many of these reviews I almost feel fortunate. We now have the rack handles dissolving. It seems like the detergent (or possible the vinegar cleaning required for the odor problem) has broken down the rubber to the point it is flaking off and sticking to the dishes. We took a scrapper and removed as much as we could. Hope some of these tips may help some of you get by until you can replace this horrible appliance. Just never again...

At the moment, our house is fully stocked with Samsung stainless steel appl
At the moment, our house is fully stocked with Samsung stainless steel appliances from top to bottom. Dishwasher, microwave, freerange oven, refrigerator, TVs, etc. You name it, we bought into the Samsung brand due to the tech features and the sleek designs, but we regret every single decision we made when buying the Samsung brand. Never have we ever had such an awful experience with EVERY single product from a single brand than with Samsung. Ill keep this review narrowed in focus to just the Samsung freerange oven, but I do want to provide some details around the numerous and frequent issues weve had with every other Samsung appliance we own.First off, some background, we usually buy our appliances from Lowes due to the proximity to our home and the frequent sales they offer. We started to renovate our house a few years ago and began purchasing new appliances at that time. From the start we had problems. First, we purchased a new Samsung waterwall dishwasher and within the first year, we had to repair a plastic motor part that drained water after the wash cycle. We decided to not purchase the Lowes warranty at the time (regrettably) and I was forced to watch a YouTube video of a guy taking the motor apart and using epoxy to repair a cheapo plastic part that was seemingly critical to the machines functionality. Next up was the Samsung microwave, which after 6 months had the motherboard supporting the dials blow out. It literally just stopped working, without warning or without an obvious cause. Luckily, this was within warranty and a new board was mailed to us, which solved the problem. Fast forward 3 years (which seems to be the magic timeframe for ALL Samsung appliances to crap out), were now having the exact same issue. So, outside of warranty, we need to figure out whether to fix or replace this crappy Samsung microwave. Next up we have the Samsung smart 55 LED TV. We bought this at Best Buy on a Black Friday deal 3 years ago and it was great...until it wasnt. No warning, it worked one day and then it didnt. Looked up all the DIY fixes and replaced the power board, no luck. It was JUST outside warranty and we know face the decision to pay more to fix it or just change to a new, different brand, TV. UGH!Now, to the Samsung freerange oven. To start, we are very, VERY, fortunate to not have had our house burn to the ground due to this incredibly dangerous and absolutely awful appliance from catching fire....TWICE! Some details, again, we bought our Samsung freerange range oven, Model NE597R0ABSR/AA, Serial Number J0V27DCC501158V, from Lowes back in 2019. We had a very old oven that just wasnt cutting it and we did quite a bit of research before purchasing this oven. We felt at the time that Samsung had very good reviews, despite some of their newer lines of appliances being out for a short period of time. We take the plunge and the experience of having it delivered and installed was great. Not more than 2 years of having the oven we had our first of two awful experiences with the oven. I cook for a family of 6 about 5-6 times a week, using 3 of the 4 range top burners and the oven at the same time. Thats a lot of cooking on a regular basis, so when we were simply cooking on 2 burners without using the oven and we saw FLAMES coming from the back of the oven, we were blown away. And terrified! We immediately turned the burner, got the fire extinguisher ready and shut off the main breaker to the kitchen. The flames subsided but the smoke was still billowing out of the back of the oven and the fire detectors went crazy. As we pulled the oven out from the wall (and took off the food, which eventually spoiled) we could see where the smoke was coming from. We unplugged the oven and took off the panel and the entire motherboard was melted....it was like someone doused it with gasoline and set it on fire. Our oven was ruined and the wall behind the oven was charred. Long story short, we filed a claim with Samsung and despite our oven being out of warranty for just a few months, they sent out techs (who didnt speak English) to replace the motherboard and it worked once again. We were pretty shaken from the experience and were hesitant using the oven or range with any level of intensity, but over time we began to use it normally. Not 10 months later, we were making dinner just like we always did (the night before Thanksgiving, nonetheless) and THE SAME THING HAPPENED, but on a different place on the the oven. We heard a POP, and the back of the oven started smoking and there were flames. Then the oven shut off. Once again, we turned off the oven, we pulled it out, we unplugged it, we removed the back panels and IT MELTED THE GODDAMN WIRES!This was the last straw. Samsung appliances have been nothing but an absolute disaster and even with warranties, they seem to stop working/break/catch fire/etc just days or weeks or months past the warranty timeframes. Samsung makes appliances and products that look great, but my god they are absolute trash. We are now in the process of replacing every Samsung product in our house to prevent a disaster in our home. Do your research, buy what you can afford, but please, do not buy Samsung. Its garbage.

The service man made 5 trips out and 2 parts and now it is Sept 7 2016 and it is making a noise so long had to unplug it. It was frozen up again in the fridge part and was not cooling up to 62 degrees even though there is ice frozen to coils. Service could not even get panel off until it thawed for 24 hours or more. I still do not have a refrigerator working. The freezer still works fine like others have said. I am getting the run around and given a ticket number and no service guy will come out (they said they can not get answers from tech support) and there is no wiring diagram as other appliances have. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product ever again. BUYER BEWARE. To say I am frustrated and disappointed would be a gross understatement!!! We purchased our Samsung French Door fridge RF31FMEDBSR 3 yrs and 4 months ago. We spent $2200 on it thinking we were buying quality. Boy were we wrong!!! The seal has disintegrated twice, the ice maker works on and off and the shelf on the door came crashing down one morning on my sons foot sending glass jars crashing all over the floor and bruising his foot. I can no longer affix the shelf as the door is torn down to the insulation.I have attempted to get straight answers on this since Dec 21, 2016. I have noted names and dates of people I have spoken to each time. Like many others I was told to contact EEFIX a local authorized repair company to come out and diagnose the problem to the tune of $80. I was also told that I would be reimbursed for that cost once EEFIX uploaded the info on their end. Let the merry-go-round begin.I did everything I was told to do, and all I got was a lot of empty promises and now what seems to be untruths. Fast forward to today, Mr. Derek in Greenville proceeded to tell me that Samsung would do nothing because EEFIX did not leave any documentation. Of course, I called myself, to hear that they couldnt diagnose that the door was defective but broken. HECK!!! I knew that! What did I pay $80 for? Where is my refund? Oh I know Samsung isnt in the business to service just take money for cheap products that they are well aware are having issues. This is my 1st stop, next will be BBB and then small claims court. I will become their worst social media nightmare. All I want is my refund and door fixed.

This Samsung Dishwasher model DMT300RFW never worked properly. Purchased in 2011, used less than 15 times during 4 years because made dishes dirtier instead of cleaner by spitting dark grease over them. Adjusted hot water temp as suggested, no improvement. This past year, stopped working. Grinding sound when turned on. Appliance repair person said problem was connected to the drainage pump with estimated cost of $200-250 to repair. Since the DW cost slightly over $300 on sale at Best Buy (tho my Worst Buy, ever--now I know why it was marked down to such a great sale price) I opted not to have it repaired. I couldnt even find anyone to take this almost new DW for free. Unfortunately, I still own a Samsung microwave & stove. (The repair guy cautioned me about boiling large pots of water on the stovetop under the microwave because rising steam is the major cause of the electronics of the microwave keypad ceasing to function.)What a major mistake not taking time to first research reviews, being swayed by great sale prices & a supposedly dependable name in technology. Samsungs technology expertise does not transfer over to their appliances. Also beware that some Kenmore appliances are now Samsung made. Ive just purchased a new GE DW from a small, been around for decades, reputable dealer because GE still has a good reputation. I will from now on stay clear of Samsung, or any brand, such as Kenmore, which may be Samsung in disguise.

In 2011, we bought a Samsung dishwasher and French door refrigerator. The dishwasher had problems from the first month, with basket clips breaking, and jamming the jets. They knew this was a widespread problem, but wouldnt switch out our unit. I left negative feedback on their site, which they removed (it was all factual), and sent me a warning email that they would ban me from commenting again. I switched it for an LG (no problems at all). Now, the fridge isnt working. It started making a loud rattling noise this afternoon, and a quick online search showed me that there is a class action lawsuit against them because the twin cooling system freezes over, and your fridge/freezer no longer cool/freeze. This very expensive 4 French door refrigerator (over $3000) quit cooling within 2 years of purchase, and Samsung is non-responsive. My story sounds like the same thing others are experiencing. Samsung supposedly scheduled service with an independent contractor to come look at it and he never showed up because no one ever told him -- they dropped the ball completely. They cant be rescheduled for at least 2 more weeks. I have been receiving the same line, (its not my department) from Samsung for every call I make. Meanwhile, my food is spoiling and I am hoping we dont end up with food poisoning from improperly cooled food. I paid too much for this one to run out and buy another. So we use. It is apparent that once Samsung gets your money they do not care. In my experience, this is a terrible product and bad company that should stick to making televisions -- not refrigerators.

Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator with the ice maker located in the food compartment, not the freezer section (in 2015/2014 mfg date). Should have suspected the design, but purchased it anyway. The in-door dispenser pushes a slushy watery mix for the initial action. Then I get soft ice cubes for the rest of the fill. Every two weeks or so, I have to remove the Ice Maker tray unit and chip the ice accumulation on the roof of the ice maker because the ice is clogged with an ice dam and will not make ice cubes. First guess is too much moisture in the ice maker unit. QUESTION: Is there any way to get the ice maker unit colder so the ice wont melt, causing these issues?

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator in 2013. 2-Door Side By Side with Model # RS263TD1BP. This refrigerator was manufactured in 2012 which has a design problem. Ice builds around the cooling coils which allows the refrigerator to completely shutdown. The refrigerator only maintains temperatures at the bottom, and is hot throughout all levels of the unit. Apparently the sensor that is attached to the cooling system which does not regulate the system to adjust after it reaches a certain temperature. A service repairman removed the back panel and had to take a steamer to defrost the ice. It took over 55 minutes to defrost the ice and replace the back panel. This is a design and manufacturing problem. Samsung knew that this problem exist, but continues to put this product on the market for customers to purchase. The warranty states that this should be covered, but Samsung refuses to acknowledge that this issue is not covered, and is left up to the customer to pay for their mistake. I have contacted Samsung over 25 times, and cant get to the Executive Level. I am sharing my level of frustration because the average lifetime of any household appliance should be longer than 3 years. Refrigerators are suppose to last. This is a design problem and all of these refrigerators should be RECALLED! Customers that purchased the SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR THAT HAS THE BOTTOM PULL OUT FREEZER EXPERIENCE THIS PROBLEM several years ago and their units were replaced. Apparently, the problem is now existing in the 2-door side by side units as well.THERE IS A MALFUNCTION WITH THE COOLING SYSTEM. ICE BUILDS UP AROUND THE COPPER COILS WHICH CAUSES THE REFRIGERATOR TO stop regulating temperatures evenly throughout the refrigerator. The top and middle of the refrigerator is extremely hot and the bottom is extremely cold. Samsung should issue a recall of these appliances because they knew it was defected before putting these refrigerators on the market.Samsung Refrigerators are not constructed very well and apparently, this product does not have longevity. Too many consumers are complaining about this particular product. If complaints are being made, Samsung is aware of this malfunction and should take total responsibility and implement a recall. Samsung knew that this product was defective. A refrigerator is a household appliance that should last about on the average of 15-20 years. I sought out to buy a new refrigerator, a Samsung not because of need but desire. I was remodeling my kitchen, and I owned an Amana for 17 years. AND - this refrigerator never had one problem.

I know you are thinking this has been a long time ago but the oven only lasted about 6 months and I cant afford to have it worked on it any more. I paid for it with a credit card so the original price of $850.00 was probably more like $1200.00. When it first quit working Lowes told me they had no records of me buying it there. I paid for it with a credit card and I find that hard to believe they had no records. Lowes has never been at my home to work on the piece of junk. I say junk and that is exactly what it is. I would not advise anyone to buy a Samsung and to make sure you keep all your records on what you buy at Lowes. Today is Thanksgiving and another year of not being able to cook my own turkey. Christmas is coming up soon and it will be the same way. I wish I had an oven for everyday use. I am like most people these days. I dont have the money to run out and buy another new one. HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!

Microwave SMH9207ST spontaneously turns on when not in use. Walked in to a small fire burning in the microwave while running which spontaneously started while we were out. Entire walls of microwave were melted with some damage from heat to surrounding cabinetry. My guess is we were 15 minutes early to a full on house fire. Not expecting Samsung to accommodate.

After 1.5 years from purchasing my Samsung refrigerator the coils started frosting over which caused both icemakers to stop producing ice. I defrosted it several times by removing the freezer interior panel and using a blow dryer to melt the ice. I did some research and all I found were hopeless complaints online. I started thinking the fridge was no good. I did some troubleshooting and replaced the thermistor and defrost thermostat located in the freezer behind the panel. Thank God it worked! Hope this can help someone.

Purchased this lovely Samsung Range model NE58F9710WS in March 2017. I absolutely loved it. Great for just two of us using the top part and then using the whole thing when family were visiting. Today we had the oven on and there was a loud bang and the glass on the top had cracked and shattered. I am shocked after paying $1,965.58 on a stove to only last almost 8 months is shocking and its a very scary experience. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them for this model number?

The refrigerator is just over 2 years old and its falling apart. 3 panels are broken off and now the bottom ice maker is broken as well. This appliance was $2500 and is junk. It should last at least 10 years. My last GE profile lasted 16 years and not one thing broke on it during that time. They sure dont make things like they used to. I tried calling Samsung and was told there is nothing they can do for me because its past the 1 year warranty. A 1 year warranty for an appliance that should last at least 10 years is a joke and shows they really dont stand behind their quality nor do they value keeping customers. I will not buy Samsung appliances anymore. Ill stick with Kenmore or LG or GE or KitchenAid. Stay away from this Manufacturer.

Called Samsung technician to repair leaking refrigerator. Every time it went into defrost mode it would leak water, a little when I first purchased it, then much worse. Refrigerator is nearly two yrs old, so is out of warranty. I am a retired Engineer, so did some reading and found the problem to be a smaller than required heat sink (Samsung calls it a drain clip). This heat sink is suppose to keep the defrost drain from frosting up. Took technician 30 minutes to replace this part with the correct size. Per tech, he gets a lot of this work. Here is my problem, should a company like Samsung be charging the consumer for their design flaw? The cost was $173, part cost was $10 dollars.Called Samsung ECR (Executive Customer Rep), explained that this was not a repair or a fix, but a correction to a design flaw. I thought Samsung would want to stand behind their product, but all she would say was that it was out of warranty. The model # RF263BEAESP/AA. There must be thousands of these out there with this known design flaw. I hope this review helps someone if they are looking for a new refrigerator. Needless to say, I wont be buying any Samsung products in near future.

I told them at Samsung that the tech. replaced every part to the freezer door including new draw rollers, gasket twice and then finally the last time a completely new draw and assembly and it is still broken. They insist they can still fix even though there are no parts left. I lost my mind talking to the idiots on the phone and I feel my only option left is to get an attorney involved. Where do we start. We purchased all new appliances for our home within the last 6 months. Within the first couple months a tech came to look at ice maker as wasnt working. Then we went away for Easter long weekend came home open fridge and it was filled with water and water dripping out. I opened the freezer at the bottom and all meat fish etc were all defrosted (frozen bananas were mush). Everything went straight into the garbage including items such as mayonnaise, etc with all the thawed out items also. What a waste of money. We called the brick were we purchased and they were sending a tech. They said wouldnt be for about 2 days but then they were able to schedule on next morning. (Tuesday). I called Samsung also Tuesday morning, advised of what has happened as was told they do not have a replacement policy, only a repair policy. I advised fridge now smells and a Eileen advised not their problem!!! And no one will come in and clean it. She was very rude. Asked to speak to someone higher and was advised she is the highest I could go. Head office does not take calls. Advised has kids and needs a fridge asap. Again she said I would have to wait. Very rude again as I am a paying customer and when large expensive items are purchased they should last longer than 6 months. When tech came he advised the compressor has gone. Part would need to be ordered and it looks like possibly next week before they can fix it. Unacceptable!!! Called Samsung again today. Again received very rude customer service and advised to bad. The fridge will not replaced and I will have to wait for someone to come repair it whenever they are available. No idea when. So I have a new broken down fridge and living out of a cooler with 3 kids trying to keep everything cold. What a joke... and also out over 300 in what was good food. I was passed around to 4 different people at Samsung customer service this morning. When you buy a product there should be a policy when it breaks down. Why should I be inconvenient and have to not have a working fridge. Think twice with Samsung. I have done recent searching and was surprised of previous lawsuits against them with fridges and other appliances. People will continue to purchase these items. They get your money then you are not a customer anymore. You are a number.

Two year ago I purchased a Samsung $2100 refrigerator and a Samsung $599, 2.1 cu ft microwave and a Samsung $699 dishwasher from Lowes, top of the line on all but the refrigerator. To date the dishwasher never heated the water - my dishes are always dirty and I have to hand wash most right after I take them out. The only heat is when I push the sanitize button; otherwise the water is cold (yes, I checked to see if there is a line from the hot water side of my system). For the refrigerator, the water filter required replacement 2 months after I purchased it and the ice button gets stuck and continues to dispense ice, even after I remove the glass. THE MICROWAVE IS MY LATEST CASUALTY. Last night, it went to an E5 error code, basically indicating that steam from the stove had destroyed the membrane keypad. THEN WHY IS IT MADE TO BE INSTALLED OVER A STOVE? I would not buy Samsung again unless it was the only appliance in the world. I got no support from Lowe’s, since they were out of warranty. Now I will go and buy new appliances and they will be basic, simple ones. My Kenmore stuff lasted over 10 years. I just replaced them because I want top-of-the-line - well $3400 divided by 24 months means I paid $142 per month simply for the privilege of owning a Samsung. Never again.

We purchased the Samsung induction range 4 years ago. Thankfully we bought the extended warranty as weve used it no less than 5 times so far. Weve basically had the entire stove rebuilt as the oven temperature doesnt hold well owing to issues with (1) the fans; (2) the sensors; (3) the motherboard/control panel. Most recently the top of our range cracked as well. This is an incredibly low quality company both in terms of their products and their service. I would NEVER buy another samsung appliance and would caution anyone about buying one if youre seeking to have it last more than 1-2 years. If youre intent on buying one, buy any and all extended warranties available as you will absolutely need them.

I bought all my appliances at PC Richard when I purchased my house in 2014. The salesman recommended Samsung. Told me they were the best on the market. I purchased washer, dryer, stove and refrigerator all top of the line Samsung appliances. My dryer had to be repaired 3 times. Finally I replaced it with a Whirlpool. My refrigerator was fixed on 1/10/18, 6/22/18, twice in July and again 9/4/18 when the PC Richard repairman video chatted with a Samsung representative. Again new parts were ordered. Refigerator was repaired 9/14/18. Today 9/21/18 my refrigerator is again not working. I called PC Richard and was told refrigerator cannot be exchanged unless authorized by Samsung and since its a Friday that will not happen until next week if at all; meanwhile I should make another service appointment. I wish I could give less than one star because thats how disgusted I am with my French door Samsung refrigerator. I purchased it about four years ago. After two years I finally figured out that it was icing up in the back and fortunately it was still under a warranty I had purchased with Lowes but it took close to a month to get all the parts etc. Also lost lots of food. Now again 2 years later the same thing. I called Samsung and became even more irate with the callous we dont give a crap attitude. This refrigerator needs to be recalled and Samsung sued because a company with morals would at least attempt to make a better product after so many of the same problems for so many years. This was to hopefully be my last refrigerator and now I cant even afford to fix the stupid thing. You can add me to the class action lawsuit as well and Samsung needs to recall and take responsibility for wasting our money. I also have a child and infant in the house - Im fearful that someone will end up with food poisoning. This is a huge safety issue Samsung!!!Updated on 07/03/2015: I finally threw most of my food away and pulled the plug on the fridge. It took three days but it finally defrosted. I then plugged it back in and for the time being it is cold and working fine. I suspect that I will end up doing this several times this year but as stupid as it sounds Im bound and determined to get a little more use out of it. So if anyone is in the same situation you might try to unplug, defrost it manually and plug it back in. Hope this can help somebody.

We thought this manufacturer had a trustworthy reputation, thus we bought their brand name. Unfortunately, problems abound with our refrigerator & microwave. The microwave required servicing as did the refrigerator. The freezer is cold but refrigerator is warm. Calls to the service department have been frustrating. Someone was to get back to us -- but didnt. In a total bureaucratic manner one blames the other for incompetency and POOR SAMSUNG SERVICE. RF217ACPN - I have owned this refrigerator for about two years. After a year and a half, I started having ice build up in crisper drawers. Researched problem online and found YouTube video describing the problem and fix. Removed shelves, etc., and panel covering defroster coil. I found the coil covered in ice and the drain clogged shut with ice. Followed video by replacing defroster thermistor sensor and using hot water to de-ice drain. I have now gone through the hot water treatment three times, also relocated (slightly) the sensor, but problem keeps reappearing on a less than two-week cycle. I own two of Samsung TVs and a computer monitor manufactured by them. I love them and have no complaints, but the refrigerator design really sucks along with their support. First off, I would like to say I never take the time to write out a review regarding a item. This just shows how unsatisfied I am with my purchase. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone. Do not buy any SAMSUNG product. The customer service reps do not offer any customer service. They do not know how to treat customers even after the crap their company has released in the recent years. Lets not forget about the blowing up of the cell phones and laundry machines. My complaint is about their refrigerators and how I have spent over $600 trying to fix the ice dispenser. The ice dispenser freezes up and does not slide out. It seems like the fridge is leaking water and causing the entire tray to freeze. The ice cubes are not in proper ice cube form. The ice cubes look like slushy. I complained to the customer service rep and their answer regarding my complaint was Sorry your item has passed the 1 year warranty for parts. I told the rep there are over 2000 complaints about this ice dispenser on the internet. I previously owned a GE profile refrigerator for over 17 years and never had one issue with it! The customer rep told me they do not go by the complaints on the internet for their products. I asked if they had any other solution and the rep told me once again Sorry the product has passed the one year warranty for the replacement items. If the company cannot offer a solution for their defective products, I will not ever in my life purchase a Samsung product. I will make sure I make this clear to all of my family members and friends. I have had this refrigerator for only a little over 2 years. Samsung teach your service reps how to resolve issues and test your products before releasing them. You shouldnt be telling your customers to fix a problem and have them pay $300 to get it fixed. Even your crappy service reps dont have a solution for your defective products. I am a very unsatisfied customer. I will have to go buy a new refrigerator since this issue is not being resolved.

We purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher when we moved into our house in July of 2012. Within 5 months, there were 5 repairs done under warranty. Within a year, at least 5 more. Finally, one repairman told us the issue AND how to repair it. Samsung was no longer willing to cover any repairs as it was off warranty.Jump ahead to 6 years later and I myself have repaired the machine over 40 times. One of the cords that connects the control panel to the rest of the machine is too short so it gets pulled every time a wash is done. After a few cycles, it disconnects. Just have to remove a few screws and reconnect. We paid $700.00 Canadian, brand new. Samsung was not willing to cover more repairs after a year, refused a return, etc. I have documentation regarding my letters to them, as well as too much time spent on hold waiting for help. I finally just gave up. Washes well, I cannot afford another one at this point. Fed up beyond belief and no one was willing to help us.

This little used microwave stopped functioning. The display reads SE. I called Samsung and was told it was covered as a known issue; an appliance repair company was assigned to fix it. The repair company called, they had received an email from Samsung regarding my washing machine! I told them it was a microwave. They said call Samsung back and get the correct info sent to them. I called Samsung. In our conversation I was unable to give them the serial no. It is placed on the inside of the microwave where you clean and subsequently had been scrubbed off. Our Samsung microwave is a handsome piece of equipment and when it works, it works well. I wish I had done better research before buying it along with its suite of companion SS appliances. We, too, got the dreaded error code shortly after the warranty expired. Once the 5E error code appeared, nothing we did, unplugging and plugging, or buttons we pushed could get it working again. Luckily, my engineer husband managed to fix the problem since the company is rather less than customer-friendly when dealing with this apparently well-known problem. The fix requires one to remove the inside control panel and wipe off the contacts, which apparently are affected by steam rising from cooking on the range underneath. We have had to do this several times in a row (like twice in one day, then the following week type of thing), but since cleaning the contacts about four months ago, it has not happened again. Im keeping my fingers crossed, but I am extremely disappointed with Samsungs customer service in dealing with this issue. Also, it was my first time buying SS appliances - and it will certainly be the last. I dont know if its just this brand, but I find the finish is way too delicate for our bustling kitchen.

He told us a service tech would be out to fix it in a week. 2 weeks later, we find out that company doesnt fix that problem. So its back to Samsung! Bought this fridge in Feb 2015, I think it was just under a year and noticed a noise in the fridge like a grinding rattling, at the same time the ice machine stopped giving ice. A month later I started noticing the door fridge temp looked normal but the inside was much warmer and we kept blaming our grocery store for the spoiled milk we were going through. I then noticed the rear wall had ice building up through the holes, I decided to unplug it to defrost overnight and load everything into coolers. The noise went away and when I finally got the icebox to pull out I found the interior to be iced right solid. I chipped away the ice and again left it to defrost completely. This lasted for about 3 months and it all started again. I started doing research and to my shock realized these fridges were lemons and the company didnt stand behind their product and in fact in the U.S. there was a Class Action Suit. Last week I finally called Samsung Electronics Canada and told them of the issues and of the Service Bulletin ASC20170602002 for the icebox. They told me I was out of warranty and would cover only the parts, I flat out refused and insisted labor be included. I do feel confident even if this repair was covered by them that the repair would only come back as these fridges look nice on the outside but are of poor design. I have made a complaint to BBB as well as I will be pursuing all other avenues to make these issues public, I cant believe this company hasnt been exposed yet with how they treat their customers.

Last year, I bought an expensive top-of-the-line Samsung dishwasher. I thought this would be the best dishwasher I ever had. Boy, was I wrong. When my 15-year-old Sears Kenmore dishwasher died, it was doing a better job on dishes than this brand new $1000+ dishwasher. If I dont wash my dishes before I put them in, I have to wash them when I take them out. And they are never dry when they come out. I always have to dry them. My floor around my dishwasher is always wet because the dishes drip water when I take them out. And if I put 5 glasses in the top, 4 of the glasses have debris inside them when I take them out. The best thing you can do is stay away from any Samsung Refrigerator. I did my research and Samsung was one of the top brands - big mistake. They have several problems that seem to be across all their refrigerator models. Ice makers leak or freeze up, motherboards go bad, valves malfunction, the list goes on. It wasnt until I started having all these problems - after 5 years - and I googled them to find out these problems are very common. I now have a 5 yr. old refrigerator that I paid $2500.00 for and is in need of over $1,200.00 of repairs. Samsung will not help. They say get the repairs done - and you have to use their service department - and then they will see if they can help. No, not going to do it. Buying a different brand and will never buy a Samsung again. Fair warning.

The microwaves fan has come on by itself, and 7 seconds appears on the microwave as well. This is a top of the line microwave (Model # ME21K701DS). After reading some of the reviews, I spoke with Samsung. Samsung will not fix the issue since it was no longer under warranty. No recalls on this microwave issue. The microwave was purchased, November 2016 - this should not be happening. Yet this appears to be happening to many other Samsung customers. This appears to be a malfunction - is there anything that Samsung will do?

I do not typically do product reviews but after seeing a rash of Samsung refrigerator ads on TV I felt compelled to respond. We needed a new refrigerator after our 15 year old GE started having problems. We found a nice looking french door style Samsung with a middle drawer for refrigerated items, freezer drawer at the bottom, water and ice dispenser, all the whistles and bells - in fact more whistles and bells than we had ever seen before. We have four Samsung TVs that all work great so we decided to give Samsung refrigerators a try - VERY BAD DECISION. The ice/water dispenser stopped working and none of our local repair people knew how to repair Samsung refrigeration products. Entering the model and serial number into the Samsung website in order to locate a Samsung repair person proved very difficult - not user friendly. We finally got the ice maker repaired but ice cubes still get stuck coming out of the dispenser and we have to completely empty the freezer about every four month and chip out the ice buildup in the bottom of the freezer, otherwise it gets increasingly difficult to open and shut the freezer door. About every two months the handle literally comes loose from the freezer drawer and I have to find the correct size Allen wrench to reattach the handle. Finally, the bottom of the middle plastic drawer for refrigerated items cracked. I dont think we every loaded it with anything unduly heavy - it just appears to be very thin plastic and it cracked. My next refrigerator will not be a Samsung.

5E code came up. I watched several videos and read several instructions for accessing the control panel on 9207 Samsung microwaves, but the instructions are for control panels located on the main chassis, not on the bottom of the door where it is on an actual 9207. There seems no way of getting into the door to the control panel without cracking the seal on the glass or damaging the stainless steel guard that runs along the bottom front of the door. Any thoughts, any theories? I hope that the pictures help some. In #4 you can see that there were two silver tabs on the leading edge of the door for the front bottom steel strip to hook onto, but pulling those tabs didnt release the strip to gain access to the control panel.
