LG Inverter Linear compressor went bad 3 weeks ago. This is my second purchase of a LG refrigerator. I love the adjustable space inside the refrigerator and the constraint cooling throughout the refrigerator. My issue is I have been without a refrigerator for 3 weeks with family coming in tomorrow. My husband called the LG service department on November 25 and they found us an authorized dealer but they are an hour south of our home. They came out on November 27 and told us our compressor went bad and would order another one. Needless to say, Thanksgiving dinner was served out of coolers and neighbors spare refrigerators. We have been calling both the LG service department and the service company that LG said would fix our compressor. The service company says they cannot get a compressor when we call them. LG service department says they have them in stock. I am not sure what is going on but three weeks without a refrigerator is extremely bad customer service. I need help with getting my refrigerator fixed and don’t know where to turn.

I received this machine (LG washing machine WM3670HA) in January of 2017, in January of 2018 there was a problem with the motor that drains the machine, the machine would no longer work. I contacted the company, their customer support people really cannot help you and you go in circles with them. Appliance service companies do not want to do LG warranty work. It is February and I still have not had my machine serviced. I have never had a washing machine not work, especially a very expensive machine that I have had for just under a year. I have usually had Kenmore machines in the past and they have worked for many a year. I should not have bought a different brand and definitely should not have bought an LG.

Model # LFX28978ST - 27.6 cu ft capacity French Door Refrigerator Freezer began with extra loud vibration while running which should have been a sign that something was ready to break. About a month later, the ice maker quit working on Wednesday so we called a local appliance repair shop to come out the following Wednesday to take a look. Over the weekend, the freezer started to warm up, as did the refrigerator. We noticed the meat felt squishy in the freezer. We ended up throwing away the majority of a fully stocked freezer full of meat and frozen dinners. By Sunday night the refrigerator was too warm to keep food, so we transferred all salvageable items to coolers. The repairman told us that he thought the Fresh Food Compressor had broken. We called LG customer non-service to learn that the part needed to be ordered and they could get it in 6 days but she emphasized ETA meaning NO PROMISES! (this is what she told me). The part was not covered, the labor was not covered, we were living out of coolers and spending $25.00 per day on dry ice and ice to keep things cool. No Way! So we decided to scrap the LG refrigerator after only 5 years, cut our losses and buy a new Sears Kenmore (made by Whirlpool). NEVER NEVER NEVER again will I buy an LG Refrigerator or one made by LG (as some Kenmore Elite models). We have also invested in the extended service plan with fingers crossed that the annual check up included with the plan will give us the advanced notice needed to fix a part before it dies. Lifes pretty crappy when your practically new refrigerator dies! LG needs to find subcontractors to supply more reliable parts when they manufacture these units. Really!

We purchased our first LG fridge in 2013 and then it was working great at the time. Got a second one for the cabin in 2017. Well... The 2017 broke and it was the compressor and this weekend the 2013 cap out, no more cold air... Probably compressor too. I certainly hope that LG will do something about their problem. Very disappointed.

I want you all to know that the LG model LFX 30766S we bought in the 2nd half of 2015 stopped cooling and the compressor is shot. We are waiting for service to repair and expect, based on the call with the service center will cost a minimum of $300 just for the visit and they indicate that they may have to order parts... We will see but we are still waiting for 4 days for service. Ill keep you posted but this Made in Korea was over $2300 and didnt last 1 year and a half. We still dont know if parts are under warranty... Keep tuned and stay away from LG refrigerators.

This machine is horrible and LG is not backing the quality of their product! There was a recall on this machine and it took three visits by the repairman to finally get my machine working properly and then it was only under warranty for 90 days, which is about how long it lasted before the unbalanced load started again. LG will not fix the same problem that was never fixed properly from the beginning. I am very disappointed and after doing online research it is evident that there is a problem with the machine that LG needs to take care of.

At less than 2 year of age my LG top-load washer malfunctioned and flooded my house. According to the washer repairman their assembly was such that the washer pressure sensor hose was wrapped around an arm and the vibration caused it to come loose, resulting in the washers inability to sense the water level - so it just kept filling. Not only did LG not stand behind my nearly new washer, this machine is pure junk. I know to watch and check that hose frequently although I can say its never had another issue with the assembly correction. Problem is it just doesnt clean. The water level varies such between loads that I always stand there to make sure enough water flows in to actual get all the items wet. I realize one of the so-called features is less water usage....but seriously if they dont get wet, its hard to clean. I noticed my whites and bright colors look dingy after a few washes, so I started watch closely - this is how I discovered the water issue. I now wash my clothes 2-3 times to get them clean enough...thats sad. I HATE this LG and will never purchase another of their products.

I purchased this range in April, 2017 when the contractor that was installing flooring damaged my Whirlpool range that I had and dearly loved. In speaking to the salesperson she spoke very highly of LG products and talked me into purchasing a model with the convection oven (LRE3061BD). In August, 2017 the fan in the oven started making a screeching noise. Since then the fan has quit completely. I called LG and they sent a new fan, motor and electric board. I have had 5 different appts for the repair company to come out and fix the oven; however, no one has ever shown up. Each time when I call customer service I get the same answer, We will have to locate a service company and they will give you a call in 48 to 72 hours to set up an appt to repair. I have taken off work 2 of these 5 times and no one showed up. When I called the service company they stated that LG told them I had cancelled the appointment. I will never purchase another LG product because they dont stand behind the product and their customer service is horrible. I work in a very culturally diversified company and I can understand dialect and accents very well; however, it is very difficult to understand the customer service representatives and they are very rude. They will not listen and talk over you. I have spoke to a Jeannie, Rodney and Donald and all of them have the same answer... I will have a service rep call you within 48 to 72 hours. Im just hoping that my annual Thanksgiving dinner for my 16 guests turns out decent, if not it may be Pizza Hut!!!

I will never...I repeat, NEVER buy any LG appliance again. The top-loading HE washer I bought 2 years ago (Model WT4870C) has been nothing but a disappointment. To call it a piece of junk would be an insult to junk. And LG customer service is terrible! Dont think you will get any sympathy or help from the company. Theyve got your money, and thats all they care about. Apparently, quality means nothing to them. First of all, the area around the bleach dispenser rusted. Do you want rust on your clothes? Me either. Thats why I called customer service. Instead of agreement that rust in a washing machine is not acceptable, I was told, If liquid gets on the metal, it can rust. Really? Then why does it say to put liquid bleach there (in the dispenser!) if no liquid is supposed to touch it? And besides, in their opinion, the rust is a cosmetic issue. When I complained that rust can ruin clothes, they told me that I could send them my damaged clothes, and they would review them, and possibly issue some compensation FOR THE CLOTHES! Now, only 2 years into owning this washer, it breaks! I cannot use it at all! It was running when suddenly a terrible noise was heard coming from it (not the normal terrible noises it usually makes), and the tub could not stop. Natural frictional force caused it to finally come to a stop. But now it cannot spin at all. Even though the washer displays proudly on the front a 10-year warranty, that only covers the motor. And guess what: You have to pay for a technician to come out to determine whether it is the motor or not. So you are out a service charge no matter what! (Oh, and even if it is the motor, you still have to pay labor charges out of pocket.) (FYI: The photo attached shows the dispenser after I removed the plastic surround.)

I bought this refrigerator three years ago when I bought my new house. However, this refrigerator has broke down about every 6 to 8 months. I had a warranty with Lowe’s for the first two years which covered it. Now that is expired. LG tells me I have a 10-year warranty and they’re going to fix it now it’s broke again. But I would never ever ever ever buy an LG again.

I’m very disappointed in my LG refrigerator. I only had it 3 years and it broke down twice. Both times we had no refrigerator for almost two weeks. The second time was a compressor which between the repair company and LG suppliers it did not make our Life Good. The new compressor is report-ably an improved version of the original compressor, which begs the question why the cheap one first and what other parts do LG appliances have that are inferior and unreliable. I will never buy an LG product again. I also had medicine that needed to be refrigerated and LG didn’t even care, I was so inconvenienced for almost 2 weeks I had to throw out food and again they didn’t care. Lee and Mary Lou.

So far haven’t had any problems with my LG washing machine. It is easy to operate and cleans the clothes perfectly. You can choose your own cycle but typically I usually just have normal loads unless I am doing a towel or blanket wash in which I choose one of the heavier load settings. I would give LG service negative stars, if I can. I purchased a dishwasher in April (model number: LDS4821ST), and the unit has worked pretty well. Recently and suddenly, the paint on one of the control buttons started to come off. I called LG and sent them pictures. I was told that it was a cosmetic problem, and they would not repair. I understand if this was a year or two from now, but four months after purchase and the paint is coming off? It is an obvious quality problem.I purchased a washer and a drier from LG about five years ago, and feel they were of much better quality than their current products. I bought a fridge as well in April, and that has problems already, as well. LG was totally dismissive; what is worse is that they refused to send me their response in writing! Im still paying for the appliance that already looks crappy!

This has been ongoing since October 2017. We purchased a brand new refrigerator costing us $1500 and it stopped working! LG has sent technicians out to repair the unit however it is not repaired! They have to come out over and over and over again every few months to “repair it”! During this time we are living out of coolers! I I finally got fed up and contacted the corporate office today since my twins have a 103 fever and I’m once again living out of a cooler until they return next week! I spoke to a representative named Milton who was extremely sarcastic and rude! He deemed the unit fixable? Fixable... They have to service it every few months so apparently is defective! He also stated that this was no cost to us! REALLY??? HOW??? It cost to us to continuously miss work over not to mention lose hundreds of dollars worth of groceries! He deemed the refrigerator fixable! They REFUSED to replace it! I’m blown away! BEWARE of the horrible customer service! Wish someone could HELP!!!

As a follow-up, after contacting my local TV station, they came out to film my washer in action. They then contacted LG and told them the review would run at 10:00 pm unless they received a reply from LG (up to this point LG ignored them). Wow, LG called him ASAP and offered a full refund! Push, push, push! I filed a complaint with BBB, LG and local news. Next step was a class action lawsuit. Home Depot is backing me in this refund. Hang in there and do not give up. I worked 24 hours every week to get this refund and to let them know they are not superior.

Bought LG DISHWASHER LDT9965BD in Nov/2016. We have a laminate floor in our kitchen. Didnt realize the dishwasher was leaking until the Pergo floor panels started curling up at the seams in front of the washer. The service man said our sump assembly seal was leaking from inside the washer. The dripping was unnoticed because the water was flowing under the laminate panels and soaking into the padding underneath. I have had many less expensive dishwashers in my life and never had a leak not even a drip. This was the most expensive dishwasher LG had at the time of purchase. Waiting to see if LG backs up the damage that was caused.

It is a front loader that is energy efficient. It was a reasonable price at the time compared to other washers available. I am not a fan of the upcharge for a color so we ended up with white. I also am not a huge fan of the way the water lines need to be cleaned out. If you dont leave the door wide open, it gets a funky moldy smell. I want it to be within my price range and large enough to do my familys laundry. I prefer name brands with reputations for quality and longevity. Regular repairs would make me flip. The washers are expensive enough as is that I dont need to be spending MORE money to fix it.

LG Washing Machine model WT1101C - After 2 years of normal use this machine failed. It was sold as heavy duty. Under normal use the drive shaft broke off inside unit. Called customer service and was advised to call service tech in our area, he never returned call. Under the LGs useless warranty they stated we would have to pay for service call. Filed complaint with BBB and went no where. Also, supplied pics of receipt and broken part. They offered a possible courtesy visit from tech and would not supply replacement part or refund. Guess they will go out of business if they had to honor their warranty for all the POSs they are unloading on the consumers. No customer service or ethics to this company. No stars for this company. We were advised by an LG tech to unplug the unit immediately and what unfolded from there has been the worst consumer experience of our 45 year marriage. My husband bought me a pair of LG appliances for Christmas of 2014. In March of 2015, we had an issue with the fridge. It took 2 weeks to resolve. In April of 2015, same issue....freezer frosting up, then stopped cooling. It was a compressor problem..shocking. June of 2019 freezer stopped working, next day fridge part quit. 2 days to get a tech (who was wonderful). Tried to say it is a sulfur problem in the water (our water is filtered), then the compressor and now its also the motherboard...all at one time. Trying to get a unit replacement because obviously, the refrigerator is a lemon. I uploaded all the receipts and supporting documents and now I have to wait until JULY 8th!!!! to get this fixed. I am under warranty for at least 6 more years. At this point Id like to be refunded for this obviously defective appliance.

We are senior citizens who downsized from our house to a co-op. For our co-op we purchased all new appliances. Among the appliances is an LG electric induction range. We moved into our co-op on September 22nd. The range has not operated correctly with one of the cooktops not operating at all and the oven door constantly looking and requiring reprograming. The range was purchased from Lowes and it was recommended that we purchase the extended warranty which I am glad we did. According to the serial number the range was manufactured April 2020. Upon contacting LG it was arranged for a technician to come to our co-op and check out the range. The technician concluded that the cooktop is defective and requires replacement. The lockout required reprograming. The technician was unable to tell us when the cooktop would be available for replacement. We will give LG a week and if not resolved will consider returning the range. Should this not be available for us to return the range if necessary we will institute legal proceedings. It would be to LGs advantage to better checking out their products before releasing them for sale. We are completely discussed and would not recommend LG. We also purchased an LG refrigerator and dishwasher and pray that we have no problems with them.

Microwave touch panel has had to be replaced and now its a guessing game if you can get cooktop eyes to come on, along with grease in between the two glass windows. Have three boxes of parts here waiting on the guy to come back and replace the touch panel on the oven and the glass. Thank goodness we bought the extended warranty. I am sure we will use it again before it expires in November. Not happy with LG and HD should be embarrassed to sell such inferior products. Next go round will be with neither and its a shame because HD is my local economy booster, but for what we paid, we didnt get what we deserved, which was a quality product that should last for years!

Words can not describe the joy I have when I use and even more appropriately when I clean up after my husband cooks. I never liked or would even consider electric cooking before, but this is an absolute dream. A pot boils over? No problem. Use a rag and wipe it up even when the pot is still cooking, it lowers the heat the minute you turn down the temperature and if you pick up the pan and walk away, the burner shuts itself off. I have considered an electric oven before but with the convection and induction features, I feel like I have died and gone to the great kitchen in the sky. I know that sounds a little extreme but after dealing with a messy stove top & an oven that I have to get down on my hands & knees to clean, this is really a God-send.I also got a great deal on my appliance from eBay. Even had a manufactures warranty. LG has been our go to brand for T.V.s, fridge and now my kitchen. The only draw back is trying to find pans that dont cost a fortune and are of good quality, also someone that can tell me why my cast iron griddle cracked in half when I tried to heat it up to cook a steak. Not a major problem. Just would like some answers.

Updated on 07/03/2019: This review is the follow-up of my prior review on 7/2/19 of my expensive LG refrigerator that was purchased in April of 2016 and stopped working after just 3 years on 7/2/19. I made contact to an Appliance repair company since obviously my family can not go without a refrigerator. I was told this repair is a compressor issue and with the cost of a new compressor along with the labor cost, my repair for this nearly new refrigeration will be approximately $900.00-$1000.00 to repair. My refrigerator was obviously the most expensive item of my ridiculous $5000.00 LG appliance kitchen package purchase! Now, I’m looking at an additional cost of possibly another $1000.00 for what should definitely still be under warranty for at least an additional two (2) years, along with the loss of well over $500.00 in spoiled food during a Holiday week. My family is now scrambling to get some food and attempt to enjoy the Holiday, however, we obviously do not have a place to even store the food we have to buy once again since we need to buy another refrigerator also! I would never pay another $1000.00 to fix a LG piece of garbage that dies in 3 years. It appears this terrible Company realized they ripped off everyone who purchased their junk products prior to January 2018 since their website now provides the normal five (5) year warranty like every other company always did, but hey they made a lot of money ripping people off prior. I will reiterate and cannot stress enough, stay away and don’t trust anything from LG and their expensive awful appliances now or ever.Original Review: I purchased a complete four (4) piece LG kitchen appliance package for over $5000.00 in April of 2016 and now only 3 years later this refrigerator stopped cooling and all of our food was ruined. I checked online for the warranty and their site unbelievably stated I was out of warranty after one (1) year and would require a paid service call to assess and repair this refrigerator. There is not one (1) other company out there that would provide only a 1 year warranty on an expensive refrigerator, that is just totally unheard of. I also had a problem with their stove after only 6 months but they were forced to fix that issue under their terrible warranty program. In checking their website warranty page they now have a notation stating appliances purchased after January 2018 have a 5 year warranty, seriously my products are only from 2016. My advice is to stay away from all LG appliances, they are horrible products!

Never... Ever... Never will I buy another LG washing machine it is terrible. It constantly gives a UE message even though the machine is level and we have done all the tricks that others have suggested. My water bill is high because the machine continues to fill and spin... fill and spin. You cant leave the house when washing clothes because you need to babysit the washing machine. It is the worst machine ever. I will never buy another LG product because of it. We will have owned it 2 years this coming June. It was been completely replaced once. Computer board replaced once, and worked on three additional times. NOT ACCEPTABLE. DO NOT BUY LG.

This built-in oven came with the house. Its beautiful. But, I dont think its ever worked quite right. There are lots of things I like about it - the proof setting for proofing bread, roll-out rack, convection roast mode. However, it does not hold oven temperatures properly, preheats slowly, and the fan is noisy. It is now totally dead at less than 6 years old, and wont heat on any setting. We are waiting for a service callback, who knows how long it will be. I would not be surprised if parts are no longer available as this seems to be a problem with LG and Samsung. If we have to buy another oven it wont be an LG. I wish I could find an induction or smoothtop range that performs well but does not have a lot of electronics, which seem to be the bane of all modern ranges. I am an experienced cook and baker but do not like gas as we have a tight house.

I do love the French door refrigerator with the exterior water and ice dispenser. I did have difficulty with the exterior coating (called black stainless steel, which it is not) chipping off and had to fight tooth and nail to get anything done because they called it a cosmetic issue. I was not. It kept flaking. It was a defect in the coating. The refrigerator itself has been easy to clean, has multiple shelf options, and I love the wide drawer at the bottom. The freezer also has a top drawer to keep all those smaller things that can get lost in the bottom of a freezer. Also space enough for me to separate my meat from everything else, so I can see quickly what I need to replenish. The ice maker is great! Options to make extra if youre having guests is a great feature and you can switch from cube to crushed.

$2,000 French Door Refrigerator lasted two years, seven months. Cannot be repaired per a local repair man I paid. LG Corp has been useless to deal with. Im going to rope Sears into this as well since I bought this POS there. They wont help either. If you are buying a fridge do your homework and buy the extended warranty. Stay away from LG and Sears if youre smart.

Front Loading LG Washer - I have noticed the white laundry coming out with gray blotches on it. This is with the use of bleach and the monthly cleaning regimen suggested by LG upon purchase at Home Depot. Yesterday, I opened the door and found little glass beads in with the laundry. I dont have a clue where they came from and after submitting an inquiry to LG, I was informed that I needed to send a photo of the beads in an email so they could determine what they are. Im not sure what to do.

This item had good ratings and suggestions directly to me from store associates and consumer ratings. Online there were very electorate reviews from multiple retailers and review websites about how this refrigerator, in general, was the best one that many of the spoken consumers had every previously owned. I like the water filter, cooling levels, storage space, stainless steal, and ice machine. Additionally, it has a wide breadth, lots of shelves, easy to clean interior and exterior, and good lighting inside the machine. Sound levels, height, and some leakage at the bottom occasionally. Otherwise, there is nothing else I notably dislike. I would improve the quickness of the ice making process for the ice maker machine, and I would also improve the noise levels for lower levels or whirring and shaking noises.

Bought Sears Kenmore Model 795*77319600 (During troubleshooting I discovered this unit was made by LG for Sears!) in Oct 2007. Sequence of failure(s): 1st) Nov 2007 Upper freezer drawer basket rail bracket tabs crack - I used nylon zip ties to hold basket in place. 2nd) Apr 2008: Lower freezer drawer bin divider cracked at top edge. - Lived with defect, hoping it would hold. Repaired crack by splicing it with a plastic reinforcement plate in Aug 2014. 3rd) June 2010: Refrigerator lights fail, no plastic melted, nor food spoilage - I researched and found numerous similar customer complaints and LG recommended fix. I removed light cover lens, and both light bulbs, and used fridge w/o light! 4th) July 2014: Freezer no longer makes ice, progressively temperature gets warmer, then refrigerator starts to stay warm - Decided not to involve Sears Customer Service for repair, but rather do it myself. $1200 fridge/freezer should not die @ 7 years! I did some research, found a similar model service manual online, did some troubleshooting of the cooling/freezing system - sensor(s), and defrost timer. Found R134a to be too low. Fixed it myself for $35. Maybe I can get 7 more years @ $5 per year out of this LG piece of junk! I sympathize with my fellow Americans. Consumer trust has declined due to cheap poorly designed products... Whats the reason? Greed, Lack of Pride, Lack of Accountability. Make junk so we can buy more sooner? What would our ancestors think?

We bought a home with a new LG side-by-side refrigerator already installed. We have been in the house for 4 years and have had a service call on the refrigerator freezer at least 5 times. 1. The fan motor went bad, so the compressor shut down, causing food to defrost. 2. Water would not flow from the dispenser or to the ice maker. One of the solenoids was bad. 3. The ice cube tray that makes the ice was warped, so the water would overflow into the ice bin and freeze all the ice together. Apparently, the heater for the tray causes the tray to warp over time.4. The hose in the back that supplies water to the icemaker developed a leak and soaked our floors. This was repaired and it re-occurred multiple times. This issue is so common with LG that there is a procedure on YouTube on how to replace and repair the hose. I have owned refrigerators for 20 years with no problems. I believe LG definitely has a quality problem, so buy at your own risk.

I was so excited to finally get a new refrigerator and just loved it. Unfortunately within months (it is less than a year old) I began to get rust lines on the front of my new french door refrigerator (LG LFC247700ST). It is on 4 of the corner areas of the door where there was no protective film placed on it for shipping. LG web support had no answer except that I could use a stainless steel cleaner on it, which I had been using. Since the front of the fridge does not hold a magnet, I assume it is not real stainless steel so why would there be rust? Very disappointed.

We purchased a kitchen suite from Home Depot 11/17. First of all we had the dishwasher go out then the stove and finally the 4 door fridge. We bought the 3 year warranty for peace of mind so you would think we would be set. The customer service is overseas which isnt a problem except a few of them were hard to understand. They gave us the runaround and after 3 days and many hours on the phone I started keeping detailed notes of my conversations. I asked a employee for their full name or employee number but was told they are not allowed to share that information making it impossible to keep track of people for future references. We ended up losing 90 % of the food in the freezer and all in the refrigerator! We are having to eat out every night and unable to keep leftovers for work. I told them that my son is diabetic and his insulin needs to be refrigerated as well as does the babys whole milk. They said it will be approximately 2 weeks before a service tech will be available. Ive NEVER in my life had such a horrible experience with the purchase of new products and urge whomever is reading this to be cautious and review all products pro and cons before purchasing.

We purchased our refrigerator in August 2016. In February 2019 it stopped freezing and cooling. I called LG and the customer service (800 243 0000) and was scheduled for a service call the following morning. Based on the description of the problem the customer service rep advised there would be no charge for the service call or repair. (She didnt advise why, I didnt ask because I was thrilled after reading the other horror stories on this site.) The technician, Bryan ** called me about 15 minutes after the call to confirm our appointment the following morning and ask me about the problem so that he could ensure he had what he needed on the truck to make the repair. The next morning Bryan called when he was on his way to my house. (Within the time window that was scheduled. Another thing that doesnt happen that often that people actually show up in the time frame they are supposed to.) He began working at 10AM and finished by just after 11AM. He would courteous and very competent in making the repair. It turned out to be a failed/faulty compressor which was replaced with a new one. I already loved the fridge, I am extremely pleased with the customer care by all three LG employees I worked with in this transaction. Thanks!!!

After buying LG refrigerator within 7 months the upper freezing compartment stopped working. After the complaint technician came made it work. But again after 9 months faced same issue. Then again technician did resolved it. At the second visit I asked the technician to make sure this should not happen again if it does give me a replacement. But again after 11 months it again freezing was not happening. So again I raised a complain but as the 1 warranty was going to they stopped responding. After 12 months when 1 year free service expired the call center executive without listening to the issue just telling that I will be charged and when I started explained previous complain they started hanging up phone on me. LG service really ridiculous. They dont treat customers well. If this is a case I would say Please dont buy their product.

I only wished that I had read the reviews before I brought their cheaply made refrigerator. Now I’m stuck with a big piece of junk. According to the other reviews, if I fix it...it will break down again???

Purchased LG appliance package from Home Depot 11/12/11. June of 2015 the microwave blew up and will not function. Contacted a repairman who was told by LG service this microwave was no longer manufactured and no parts available. I purchased a new microwave only to find out that I can no longer get a microwave with the dimensions of 29 1/2L x 15 1/2H x 15D. Unfortunately, we have previously installed new glass backsplash tiles which will have to be cut to fit a new microwave. These were special order tiles! When I contacted LG, I was told, Sorry, we now have a throw away society. This was after 3 different calls to customer service and being told my case was in for review! Also concerned about larger dimensions leaving only 13 3/4 clearance between stovetop and microwave.

I also purchased the LG French Door Refrigerator Model LMXS27626 in Feb. 2017. The compressor went out on 6/25/19. We have experienced all of the same problems (Ie; hundreds of dollars in lost food, 4 days total off of work, multiple phone calls, living out of coolers, waiting weeks for an A&E repair person). All without prevail. We DID have an appointment this morning to finally have the compressor put in, however the repairman ordered it a couple of weeks ago and the wrong model number was delivered to us. He said he would have to re-order the correct one and the soonest he can come back is in 2 weeks 7/25/19. The whole experience has been exhausting and miserable for my family of 7! It is mind blowing that LG would continue to sell these refrigerators. I personally thought I was in this hell alone. Im am petrified once the compressor gets replaced (if that ever happens) that it will go bad in 6 month, 1 year, etc. LGs new logo should be: LING! LING=Life Is Not Good!

June 2011, we decided to replace our kitchen appliances. Not because our 27 year old Kitchen Aids did not work, but that they looked very outdated. After very much research, we decided on the LG 4 door LMX 28994 refrigerator with the Converta drawer, the LDF 7932 Dishwasher, and the LMS 2073 Microwave Oven. We choose to purchase a GE Monogram dual fuel range rather than an LG at that same time. Our decisions were carefully researched, and the choices made not only based on those particular appliances features, but also upon the then available reviews. 10 months later, we woke to find the food in our fridge warm and spoiled, and our dishwasher no longer working. April 2012, LG replaced our refrigerator, and when I asked if a new warranty would take effect, was advised by LG that they would only extend our existing fridge warranty by 3 months. I asked why? It was a brand new refrigerator... should it not have a one year warranty? Our dishwasher motor was replaced by LG that same month. 3 months later, our microwave started to malfunction, just after it was out of warranty. We did not purchase an extended warranty for the Microwave, but did purchase extended warranties for the refrigerator and dishwasher. Currently we once again have a refrigerator that requires servicing. Its making so much noise that it wakes us in the middle of the night, and our cheeses are going soft, and milk is warm. The service tech cant seem to decide if its the fan or the compressor. Our hope is that this issue is resolved before our extended warranty is up in June 2016, which by the way, is the only right thing we did when we chose to purchase LG appliances. We should have gone with all GE Monogram, since we have not had any trouble at all with our GE range. Our dishwasher has the worst designed racks weve ever seen, and we are now having to pre-rinse our dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. Ahhh modern technology, got to love it. I wonder if Mr. Seong-Jin Jo, President and CEO for LG Appliance Company is aware of, or even cares about the multitude of dissatisfied customers LG appliance has. They may be trying too hard with their Innovation, sending their products out in the market before they have proven their reliability. After spending almost $4,000.00 to purchase our fridge, $1,500 on our dishwasher, and almost $500.00 on our microwave, one would hope that they would last more than a year or two. Never again would we buy LG anything.

Purchased an LG LMV1813ST/02 microwave on 26 June 2013 for about $250. This over the stove model stopped heating on 9 Nov 2015. The warranty was 1 year, except magnetron that was 10 years. Contacted LG and went through steps to restart MV. Was then told it needed a tech to repair it. I was given two local authorized LG shops. One did not work on microwaves, and the other wanted a bench charge of $95 plus parts and labor to fix it even though I dismounted it and brought it to their facility! Four and a half years ago, we purchased a new fridge from American Appliance in Madison, WI. We looked at several models and were debating between a GE Profile and a similar LG model. We were concerned about the reliability of the LG brand and asked the salesman; he said he hadnt heard of any problems and that they were reliable. We decided to go with the LG. We started having problems last year and the main circuit board went out, which was about $500 to fix.I asked several friends if they have had trouble with any LG appliances and I was shocked at how many people I know who have had trouble with the reliability of LG. I wish Id followed my instincts and avoided the LG brand. Our fridge is now incessantly beeping, even when the door is not open. Today, it started grumbling very loudly. Purchased Lsc5683ws electric range from Goemans Appliances, Cambridge in January 2010. Cost was $1650++. Electrics failed in October 2013. Paid $175.00 for service call and repair. Three weeks later exact same problem. It was fixed again. Used the self clean for the 3rd time only. After completion noticed the blue enamel was coming off. Also had a very strong smell when turned on. March 2015 unit shut down completely. No electronics again, but this time the oven kept heating. Guessing temperature was over 500 degrees. Had to unplug at wall to cut power supply. Feeling very vulnerable to starting a fire. Spent approximately 2-3 hours on phone with LG customer service in the Philippines. Was cut off twice. Uploaded required invoice as requested. Phoned again 2 days later. Sent invoice again. Still waiting on response from advanced team as to what (if anything) they will do for me. Returned to store for help, but they offer no help unless you have purchased their extra insurance. This situation is appalling to me. Do not buy LG. What a waste of money and time.

I wish I could describe my experience, but there are no words for the dishonestly, incompetence, run-around, LYING, lack of responsibility, unprofessional, and just plain unethical, horrific conduct this company has shown me in spades and spades and spades. I purchased a very expensive LG Space Saver, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer about 16 months ago. Surprise - surprise, the compressor went out. The labor was not under warranty, but the part apparently was. Well, that would require even a semblance of customer service or honestly or even a mild attempt to care about a customer or fix a product. What I got was a vague reference to maybe having someone CALL ME in 2-3 weeks to MAYBE get out there and maybe fix the compressor. First, I was put through a bunch of dumb tests and waiting -- because yeah, a refrigerator SQUEALING, thawing out, and dripping ice down the door could be caused by leaving the door open for 5 minutes. NOT. And I didnt. Still, it took me a while -- playing LGs games -- to realize that nobody has any responsibility or integrity. That they lie as quickly and effortlessly as some folks breathe, and that every single person you talk to will give you a different answer or solution -- absolute no one will mean what they say or follow through. And they could care less how much of your time, effort, or money they cost you (I lost $800 worth of food; spent over 7 hours on the phone, talking to over 12 different people, many not even in the USA, being promised things that never happened -- only to be shuffled to someone else; being referred to their own repair companies THAT DID NOT EXIST! (Literally, I called all three of the companies myself because I couldnt wait 2-3 weeks for maybe. One, the guy was out for the next month or so because of surgery -- yeah, glad I didnt wait 2-3 weeks on him; one, they said they stopped working with LG years ago and wished theyd quit telling people otherwise; and the last one - phone disconnected). Yet, I could not get anyone at LG to understand why I wasnt willing to wait 2-3 weeks for someone at one of these 3 companies to call me!!!In the send you to ten different people, all of who will lie to you game (oh, and prepare to sit on hold for 30 minutes or more at a time, just to be rerouted to someone and start all over... again... and again...), I was told they had a repairman in the area and were sending him to my house now. Please hold. Please hold. Please hold. only to waste another hour and be told I needed to wait on one of the three companies. This went on for 3-4 days!!! Meanwhile, I tried to call an independent repairman -- my family actually needs to eat -- and what I heard from professional after professional after professional was a NIGHTMARE. No one would work with LG. LG does not pay their claims. LG compressors break all the time. Dealing with LG is a virtual nightmare. Etc! I finally found a company with a certified LG repairman (He used to WORK FOR LG) who said he would work on the warrantied part and seek payment for it from LG. (LG had already given me a useless approval # which I could use with one of those three companies. Are we really back to calling the unicorns and Santa Claus again -- newsflash, idiots! They dont exist!) Anyhow, after another day of dealing with a bunch of representatives not in the USA, I got a hold of someone who walked me through a ton of steps in order to send a pre-approved service authorization to the company I FOUND -- it would be in the companys email box in 24-48 hours. Guess what? Surprise - surprise. There was no email authorization; they never sent anything; they never called me back; and I guess they just lied at the time.So I finally paid to have the private company come out and check the refrigerator -- bad compressor. Of course, read the reviews -- everyone is saying this, so LG must know it! Well the company tried to get a hold of LG to schedule a date to fix the compressor -- they had my approval # and told LG I had been given authorization to use them and the authorization was supposed to be in their email box a week ago (oh, and they made me call the company and get a bunch of information, including this email address for this authorization email that never existed. Maybe they do this ** for fun??? Anyhow, the company Id hired could never get hold of anyone at LG -- no surprise there -- so finally went through their world-class (world being literal - class being a JOKE) customer service, only to be told that there would be no authorization because *I* the customer had an appointment scheduled for next week with one of those three original companies. ARE - YOU - KIDDING - ME!?! No one ever called me or scheduled any appointment, and as we all know -- those 3 companies were bogus to begin with. What the ** kind of operation is LG running. This is beyond PATHETIC. Its fraudulent. Moronic. Inexcusable. Sad thing is: I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANY LG PRODUCT AGAIN, no matter how large or small, and Ive already told everyone I know to AVOID THE REFRIGERATORS LIKE THE PLAGUE. Good going, LG.RUN - DONT WALK - AWAY FROM ANY LG REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER. Or at least call half a dozen appliance repair companies and ask what they have to say about this product -- youll get a surprising earful. LG has no customer service, and they couldnt give two ** if their customers ever get anything fixed, let alone in a timely fashion. If you have 20 - 30 - 40 hours to be given the runaround, to sit on hold, to be lied to and shuffled, to speak to folks all over the world who will each tell you a new and ever-more inventive lie, then by all means, buy this refrigerator. But if you think any part of it will ever break, then youre on your own. LG should be ASHAMED. And I hope theres a class-action lawsuit at some point because they need to be exposed.

Bought new LG electric range in 2016. Installed summer of 2017. Stopped working November 4 2017. Called LG. Under warranty. Took 2 weeks to get a service person out. He said it was the control board and ordered parts. Parts took 2 weeks to come in. Service person said they would install on Nov. 30. December 8- still my stove is not working. Called LG. They said sorry we have to wait for the repairperson to do their job. Give it 3 more days. Beyond frustrated-it is impossible and expensive to feed my family of 6 without a functioning oven. Additionally LG said they had escalated my case and then closed it without actually talking to me. Incredibly poor customer service. I will never buy another LG appliance. Unfortunately my house is currently full of them. Hope they keep working.

Bought the side by side April 1, 2015 and compressor is broken as of June 23, 2018 when I noticed water pooling and my ice cream soft. Purchased at Best Buy and they give you an extra yr warranty. The repairmen don’t work on Sundays and Mondays so I have to wait 4 days before my appt. Originally they wanted to schedule me for July 2 which is 1 1/2 wks away. My refrigerator is mildly cool and the freezer has stopped freezing. I paid extra for LG unit which advertised their quiet linear compressor. I am very dissatisfied that the unit broke in 3 yrs. That is ridiculous. I will make sure that I purchase extra warranty for I see more breakdowns in the future. Wished I would have purchased a Whirlpool which is Consumer Reports recommendation. A few of my friends have Whirlpool and no problems.Updated on 06/26/2018: Had the repairman out. I thought it was the linear compressor but it turns out its in the closed system where the freon is connected to the metal coils. He thinks there is a leak. It is only 3 yrs old. This should not be. Another appt has to be set up and a specialist will come to find the leak and put freon in. If they cant fix it, then I get a new refrigerator. This is Best Buy warranty. Today they dont come with a 5 yr warranty. I will also plan on buying extended warranty. Things arent made like they used to when assembly people put it together. My old GE lasted 20 years. That was in the 70s. They purposely design them to break down after ** years.

This is our 2nd LG dryer same model in 40 days. The same problem has occurred with each one. Dry cuts off and will not cut back on. We purchased it from our local Home Depot which have done everything they can to make right what LG has not. LG should be shut down for making lousy products that fail to work. I feel like the Better Business Bureau should be involved and shut down this company from taking innocent consumers money. My husband and I have missed 3 days from work to meet A&E repair company to work on our dryer. If it werent for the manager at Home Depot, we would have no one to talk with since LG doesnt give a rip. Why does Home Depot continue to carry such a horrible product line? PLEASE...PLEASE, Do not buy LG products. They are a rip off and this dryer may cause your home to catch fire.

I bought a new LG Refrigerator in May 2018. Within a month, I started having issues with the refrigerator. It started making a very loud noise & had cooling issues. I called LG customer service, as it was under a manufacturers warranty. For last 2.5 months, LG could not even repair the refrigerator or provide a replacement. Highly unprofessional customer service, as the updated provided by them changes every week. Considering my experience, I will never buy LG products.

We purchased a Kenmore Model 79551833412 side by side refrigerator that was manufactured for Sears by LG. This units compressor failed after 17 months. I came to learn there was a class action lawsuit filed against LG for this same issue which unfortunately was dismissed. Because my mother in law is 88 years old and the estimated cost of repair was nearly the cost of a new refrigerator we chose to purchase her a new refrigerator rather than wait for it to be repaired. Sears says their warranty is only one year but the Sears rep said that the manufacturer provides a longer warranty on the compressor but labor would not be included. I contacted LG to see if they would do anything for us. They said that our recourse was with Sears so they wont stand behind their product. Stay away from LG refrigerators.

We purchased an LG front loading washer, WM2101H, almost 3 years ago. I thought the bad smells from the washer was our water (we have hard public well water). Reading the reviews, I can see I was mistaken. Just recently our washer stopped spinning. We called out a repairman who told us that is would cost $850 to repair and oh, by the way, only $205 is covered under warranty. It wasnt just one thing. It was the seal that broke which caused the motor to get wet? I dont remember exactly the chain of events. I was in stun mode when I talked to the repairman. He said that the washer does really bad with hard water and water softener. Funny, they never told us that when we bought the thing. Im pretty upset! We only paid less than $800 for the washer to begin with. I will never buy anything LG again!

I have had this washer for about a year and it has annoyed me since I first used it. I started getting the ue error within the first week of use. I went back and read the owners manual to learn how to load this machine. I started being extremely careful in the way I load it and I would only receive the error occasionally (cant wash a mixed of heavy and light weight items-really? I dont know anyone who doesnt wash their hand towels with their bath towels), but now I receive it with every load I run. My husband washed three loads of laundry this past weekend and he also received the ue error. He said it is a piece of junk! I paid a lot of money for this machine and I am ready to throw it out the window! I am done purchasing LG products. On a side note. I am 54, not tall by any means, but I have always been able to reach the bottom of the tub in a washer. I literally have to stand on a stool to remove all of the clothes from this machine. Bad design.

Bought a LG LFX25973ST French Door fridge 1/14 from Lowes. We went on a 2-week vacation last month and came home on a Thursday to a warm fridge/freezer. Dont know how long it had been off. It has a smart feature so I called LG and she ran me through the diagnostic, asked all the pertinent questions and since was out of warranty I could buy $275 package for fixing (parts/labor) the fridge with a 6-month warranty. She set up a repair appt for Tuesday, 5 days out. Very poor English, she was hard to understand. The guy came Tuesday and I knew I had a problem when he called the shop to ask what wires he needed to test. He was just the troubleshooter, could not fix the problem, a bad compressor. He had to go back to the shop and send LG the report, which he did, and we would hear from LG further instructions. Long story short 4 more days and no call from LG so we call them. We get major attitude. Very nasty woman tells us basically Youll just have to wait until can find a CERTIFIED tech. Day 11 we go to Lowes and buy a basic fridge for our garage. $400 thank you LG.Guy was great and looks up our original purchase of the broken fridge and says You bought an extended warranty. I know... dont laugh. So we canceled the LG contract (rate $100) and started working with Lowes. Much better service, English speaking CS people, $$ for lost food. Great, right? We get set up for a service call the next day. Ends up being a no call, no show. When we call them it ends up being the same business that LG sent out. We find out they cant fix a bad compressor. It must be a CERTIFIED tech. Closed system, dangerous gas, chance of fire. OMG.We live in Phoenix and there is just ONE certified tech in the whole metro area. They are 30 miles away and have a worse service record than LG. The customer reviews are horrible: poor work, no shows for service calls and rude employees. We are now on day 14 with a dead fridge in our kitchen. I always looked up reviews on performance of an appliance. Im now also now going to research repair and customer service. This is ridiculous that LG can hold a whole city hostage like this by not having more certified techs. I will add to this review as we progress, but Im not very optimistic. Im scared to death my other appliances, dishwasher, oven and microwave, never have a problem!

Updated on 08/30/2019: The leaked water ruined the chill drawer electrics. it is not covered under warranty anymore. I did talk to LG and they agreed to send me a new face for the drawer. Then the tech tells they charge $300 to install it. With LG the hits just keep on coming. Since the tech left yesterday the fridge is at 45 degrees and the freezer is at 20 degrees F. Maybe it will get better later? Consumers deserve better than this.Original review: Bought this refrigerator June 14 2016. The compressor and other parts have been replaced twice. The last time was August 15 2019. Here it is August 19 2019 and it is 40 degrees in the freezer and 60 degrees in the fridge. Again we are waiting on the repairman. Have lost around 200 dollars worth of food each time. It is clearly time for them to replace this lemon with a new fridge but they probably will not. Maybe the third time is a charm but I am not betting a new purchase of groceries it like I did last week. If you bought an LG fridge best of luck to you.

The tech arrived and looked at the unit for 5 min. and said the compressor failed. He said he does not know why he was sent because he didnt work on that repair. He asked for a new service date and said they would call me. New service date would be August 24! The unit was repaired with a new compressor but who knows how long this one will last. I purchased an the 22 Cu. Ft. French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator. Delivery was delayed 17 days. I moved to a new state where I know no one! 17 days of eating out during Covid times was challenging and expensive. I asked LG for an inconvenience fee and was offered $25! I said no. Then I was offered $50, then $75. I refused all offers. I was spending $30-$50 a day in eating out which cost me over $800! I asked to speak to a manager, who after one week of waiting, never called. I spent countless hours waiting on hold with LG customer service. The last attempt today I spoke with Tim who actually argued with me. He insisted that LG will not give more than $75. I work in customer service and call centers so I know what they are allowed to offer and say. Tim was more than rude and had zero understanding nor care of my situation. He continually cut me off when I was speaking! Who does he think he is?I love my fridge, but the customer service at LG needs a full revamp! I hope the call was recorded because Tim should be fired for how he spoke to me. Apparently a manager is supposed to contact me.... This is the 2nd time Ive heard that. Well see. We purchased our LG side-by-side white refrigerator Model # LSC27931SW in 2009 from the Home Depot with the 4-year warranty. I purchased a bottom freezer from Home Depot, model # LFX25971SB/1. I purchased it in 2008, replaced 3 ice makers - 1 every year. The latest one works when it feels like it. Within the first year, we were contacted by LG and was advised that they had to replace the computer. We found out that the energy rating was faulty. The company was ordered to replace computers and we would receive checks every year at approximately $14 based on the extra energy usage, but the check received was only $7.The unit runs very hot and the technician had no answer as to why. Under the bottom freezer drawer, we constantly have water that leaks because something in the unit is not evaporating water. We get thick layers of ice under the drawer which causes the drawer to not open and close properly. The technician doesnt know what is causing the evaporator not to work properly. The vegetable and cold cut drawers freeze foods all the time, and now we dont put anything in those drawers. The technician still has no answer for us. Home Depot gave us a tool to use but the handles on the doors and the freezer drawers kept falling off. I just spoke with LG and they said that we should get a new ice maker. He told me to get a new service company from a warranty company. We paid over $2000 for this piece of junk. I would never buy another LG product again.

I bought an LG Refrigerator in 5/2011. Three months out of warranty and I spent $533.00 today to fix 3 parts. Now fridges are supposed to last 10-12 years. There’s only one person in the house so it is not abused. I called and of course outsourcing. I spoke to the executive complaint department. If I didnt have the repairman fixing it, they would consider possibly helping out. Since my repairman was repairing the flawed parts, and the refrigerator was warm, how much longer should I wait for their technician to come out? Recently, our DLG6988s dryer (part of a combo) stopped heating. Everything seemed to be working, but no heat! We called the point of purchase (POP) company. We had purchased a 4-year extended warranty program with them. The company provided a work order for repair. The repair diagnosis, full replacement as there had been a fire because the lint was not leaving the dryer but instead, getting in around the drum and the harness was damaged. There was no lint in the tube, none in the lint catch area. It was around the drum instead. No repair could be done. According to the repairman, who has seen this before, this is apparently is a problem with LG gas dryers of this model, which they no longer make, and a report was sent to LG.LG informed us that since we had purchased an extended warranty, the POP company would look after us. We went back to the POP company and their extended warranty department told us that the dryer credit would be prorated and we would be given in-store credit to spend on a new dryer. We looked at dryers and to purchase a comparable dryer to the one we have now. The total cost, including extended warranty, is now another $706.00 over and above the credit we were given. We contacted LG regarding the dryer and the customer service rep told us they would not replace it since the LG warranty was up. The POP company will not replace it, but would give us the credit, take it or leave it.We did not cause the fire. We cleaned our machine diligently of lint. There was no lint anywhere other than in the drum area. They are removing the dryer tomorrow, however, I would like to prove to LG that this defect is their responsibility and the dryer, which is less than 5 years old, should be replaced. The downside would be it would be another LG product. We will never buy another LG product and I urge you to do the same. Because of the offshore parts problem with LG, any repairs that can be made can take more than 5 weeks and their customer service is unsatisfactory to put it mildly. Do your homework before purchasing anything from this company!

Purchased LGs gas oven, in part for its brilliant blue interior. Well within the first year of use, the interior base shelf had corroded, as if some solvent had been applied to remove the paint. Since I never bake citric foods (no lasagna, no fruit pies), I could not explain how this ugly disfiguring of the interior of the oven could have occurred. Running ones hands over the surface, it feels like sandpaper.Additionally, the internal temperature is approximately 25 degrees off, based on an oven temperature gauge purchased to check the ovens accuracy. Both of these problems bring into question the overall integrity of this LG gas oven. I would not recommend anyone purchase an LG appliance.

The oven range was out of the 1-year warranty and due to nature of problem and faulty software we instead purchased a new over for $1050. Between the 2 LG appliances it has now cost us $2200 in 2 months. I bought an LG French door refrigerator March 18, 2015. Within last 8 months I have 3 repairs (freezer unfrozen), now the issue is coming over again. I called LG customer service 4 time on yesterday total use about 3 hours. They said they will sent someone to check the ref and I called at 6pm to double check and make sure the appt has set, they told me the appt was confirmed. Then I take a day off wait for it. Today, no one show up. I called LG customer service again, they told me no one set up any appt for me on yesterday and they set up another appt on next Tuesday. I have to take another day off, wait for that. And same issue has repair 3 time, still has problem. DO NOT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS. THEIR WARRANTIES ARE JUNK. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT THERE TO HELP YOU AND LIE TO CUSTOMER!!!

Did a large kitchen remodel about 3 yrs ago and bought all brand new top-of-the-line LG appliances... It has been a nightmare with every single appliance from about the first week through the first 2 yrs. Let me begin by saying that I traveled about 10 months straight every year and only home for the holidays. I live alone. My appliances get very very little use.The french door stainless steel refrigerator (dont have model numbers at the moment.. this is a review in general of my LG experience) had problems from day 1. The light bulb and fixture within the fridge burned so hot that it completely melted the housing within the first week. Warranty replaced it.... 3 more times with various bulbs. I finally left it out at the last time when the warranty expired. The next problem was the rubber seal between the doors. They constantly rub and fray over time and replaced twice... Again... This appliance gets VERY little use.The HE Washer and Dryer have been well below my standards. The washer seal collects water and becomes stagnant and smelly... making my clothes smell. I do very little laundry when home obviously. I have to completely clean and dry the ENTIRE washer before leaving town. The dryer has been the worst of it all and expensive fixes. Twice in 2 yrs the heating element pulled so many amps (I am an electrician) that it started an electrical fire through the power cord with the dryer. This burned the socket and the cord and had to pay for the heating element to be replaced both times as warranty had expired in 2 yrs. I have moved both units into the garage and purchased a good old standard set of machines and have had no problems since. The dishwasher.... oh man... this thing... I have spent more on repairs and replacement parts than the cost since the day the warranty expired. First the control board went out 2 times in 2 months of being home. Then, came out to a flooded kitchen 3 times in 2 yrs. This was from a faulty regulator in the dishwasher that allowed the water to flow to the drain in sink. With all of these great features in the dishwasher.... My dishes were constantly covered in dried soap spots using the recommended dish soap. I had a plumber come out to see if maybe the water pressure was too low to rinse and he actually had to back it off. The dishwasher gets the least amount of use... Already the racks have begun to corrode and rust through the coating even though it is rarely used. All in all with everything said and done.... the quality of these expensive appliances has been well below standards. Customer service I did not like as once the warranty is expired they practically disown their product and recommend local service and repair shops or retailers. The previous appliances were GE and Whirlpool that were 30+ yrs old when I got the house. Never an issue and they worked just fine. I know that LG will not be getting anymore money from me as I have become so fed up with the issues and the paranoia of failures from using my LG appliances that I have already decided to replace them all...I have enclosed the most recent pictures of the damage/issues that I could. The refrigerator picture shows the most recent fix and where it had started to melt the housing again. I do not have the old housings but this one was remounted (it gets so hot that it melts the plastic and starts to hang) by the service guy when he replaced the rubber seals about a week ago.The dryer picture is obvious. I have rewired the house long before the new appliances and luckily this 2 times issue did not cause damage to the wire or wall or breaker. The receptacle and cord are what burn up when the heating element first starts to heat up upon starting the cycle. The washer is obvious as this is the only issue for now. 3 yrs of owning this dishwasher and I have literally ran maybe 20 loads of dishes in that time. Again.... I was never home... and holidays are usually spent with family.

Horrors! I bought a new LG refrigerator LSC27926SW from Best Buy. It had icing, fan stoppage and shutdown before warranty expired. LG fixed it. Now over last 3 years, they have fixed it 8 more times, and have never solved the problem. They refuse to replace this lemon, and keep sending Korean techies out to fix it every time this happens. I now have to take them to court to get a new refrigerator under Michigan lemon law. They are coming again this Friday, 11/16/2011, because it just broke again!
