PAID 1900 FOR HIGHLINE UNIT. Unit fan in freezer went out. Took 3 weeks to get part, lost $400 in food. Home Depot was helpful after screaming at them. Now fan out again and all food lost. Out of warranty and they want to send their people to my home. Awful service and awful appliance. No help and left with mess.

I purchased the pricey LG French Door Refrigerator back in June of 2013 and have had NOTHING but problems. The ice maker jammed constantly and leaked out onto the floor. The bottom freezer compartment stops randomly, spoiling all the contents. I have had repair folks out three times now. And LG is of no help. They now tell me that they will not cover anything because I am past warranty.I am so disappointed in their (lack of) any customer service. They do NOT make it right and I HIGHLY warn anyone from purchasing an LG appliance. I am now working through my credit card company to try to get some repairs covered or hopefully a replacement. An unreliable refrigerator is not OKAY!!! I have completed the form for the Class Action Lawsuit but Im concerned that will only result in pennies on the dollar (if anything) for the lost food items and me left with a faulty refrigerator.

We bought all new LG appliances 2 years ago in September. We bought a fridge, a microwave, a dishwasher, a stove and all of the appliances have had some electronic problem or another and have to had to be worked on. The dishwashers electronic panel was replaced but now it does not dry. The stoves electronic brain was replaced, but it does not heat properly. The fridge has had to have its seals replaced. The microwave had to have its brain replaced but they put it in wrong and they crossed the wires while installing it and had to fix that again. We are unhappy with LG appliances and would not buy or recommend an LG product again, as they do not seem to be working properly and we did not get the support we needed to help fix these problems when they first started almost one year to the date of us purchasing them.

I bought this refrigerator in September, 2020. My wife and I noticed that the water and ice it dispensed tasted bad and metallic. The cooler and freezer worked very well but our friends confirmed the bad tasting water and ice. We never had this problem with our old GE refrigerator which lasted 22 years. Four visits by LG technicians failed to solve this problem. I wrote several letters both to LG and Home Depot. Finally, we were contacted by Home Depot who offered either a replacement or a refund. Having lost faith in LG products I elected to take the refund and have ordered a GE refrigerator.

LG Microwave Oven Model LRM1260SW. I purchased it in 2009 at Best Buy for $200.00. At the time, this was considered to be a high-end price for a table top microwave oven. We noticed that the turntable was sticking. My son looked at the rotating ring that supports the glass turntable and noticed that there were pieces of plastic flashing that had not been cut away after the part came out of the injection molding machine. So we cut the flashing off and the turntable worked fine. Then a month later, the light bulb burnt out. We havent yet replaced it because we dont yet have the right tool to open that part of the oven wall to get at the bulb. Then we noticed a burning smell that occurred sometimes when we used the oven. It smelled like plastic burning. Then we realized that the turntable was again not working. Were not sure when it stopped because the light is not working. My son finally got a day off and turned the oven over to open it up. There was a section of the bottom panel that was proliferated so it could be pried off. My son removed the section and it revealed a burn out synchronous motor that turns the turntable. The gear that was made of plastic was literally melted, (thus the burnt plastic smell). We will replace the motor for $25.00 and the light bulb for $8.00 and try to use it as a back-up appliance. But the easily removable panel on the bottom of the oven indicates that they expected this motor to need replacement, (planned obsolescence). I bought this oven to replace a perfectly good running Sanyo oven only because the Sanyo was 24 years old. I will contact Sanyo and determine what their best oven is and buy that. No more LG anything for me.

I own an LG dryer (Model: DLG5988W) just over five years now. This past summer, I noticed a noise and the felt along the rim inside the drum was coming out. I notified the service company and they ridiculously removed the felt--had to scrape glue from the unit. This took about three hours--the service person was outside in heat applying the new glue and the new felt to the drum. Keep in the mind that the entire unit needs to be taken apart to do this. When he was finished, he said that they could have ordered an entirely new drum and not have to remove and reapply the felt--but they chose to do it this way.Three months later, I noticed some markings on my clothing, sheets, blankets, and white clothing. The felt is coming out again and the noise has returned. We have contacted the service company who says that our warranty was just up about two months ago. They originally charged us approximately $300+ and now, they say that the drum needs to be replaced and it would cost about $600+.We want it replaced and the original cost be deducted, since the problem was a temporary fix. Now, they wont even return our calls. So I continue to put aside all the ruined clothing, blankets, etc. I will never ever give LG my business. I also own the frontload washer, which, by the way, smells all the time. I remember growing up and the washer and dryer lasted 15+ years. LG sucks!

We purchased our matching washer dryer combo from Sears as part of our remodel on our bathroom when our prior set died for the 10th time in 6 years. However had I known that $20-$70 repairs would amount to less than the headaches I would now be dealing with, I would have kept those workhorses any day of the week. Not only does our washer smell like everyone elses no matter what remedy we try, but it leaks, and leaks, and LEAKS! Weve had it serviced 3 times in the last 6 mos. trying to replace things that were wrong from the motor to hoses to outlets and now find out theres lawsuits because of these issues. Because of cutting corners and faulty mechanisms I have to do more laundry, which causes more leaks, which causes more laundry, crazy cyclic cycle. When are we the consumers going to say ENOUGH and when is anyone going to have our backs to compensate and make this right for us? Im tired of paying and paying and paying while these companies continue to manufacture GARBAGE!!! My washer still leaks after dumping thousands of dollars down the drain! Thanks LG!!! Worst washing machine I have ever owned. I gave it one star only because it was a required field and would not accept a negative number. The washer leaked from the bottom within a few weeks and left the clothes smelling musty. Have tried running bleach through the machine and always leave the door and detergent drawer open. My wife has developed asthma which we suspect may be from the musty clothes. So we have stopped using the LG washer.

The refrigerator (LFX25976ST) isnt working. It has been two weeks without a refrigerator. LG and Best Buy wont honor warranty, which states if not repairable, LG would replace the unit. To receive the replacement, I would need to pay about $1000 due to the fact that the unit I purchased from Best Buy was on sale and an opened box item. Best Buy did not mention that due to it being an opened box item, if the unit failed, I would have to pay the difference between the cost of my unit and the cost of the replacement model.

I bought a LG refrigerator in 2012. I bought an extended warranty which carries me into 2017. I am so glad I actually bought the warranty because I am having a nightmare of a time with this crappy fridge. It started with ice build up at bottom of freezer then it stopped cooling and freezing. I called HHGregg whom I bought it from and they send a company to repair it. It took three weeks to get a part. Spoiled food and borrowing a small fridge to keep from spoiling more food. It has been two months and it is going through the same problem again. Do not buy this brand of appliances. Read the negativity about it and how bad LG is with its products and customer care. Im surprised no consumer organization has gotten involved to investigate this company.

I owned LGs LFX23965ST for about 18 months. For the last 6 months, the ice machine has not worked. It started diminishing in ice production and then just quit completely. I have tried resetting the default temps, unplugging for several minutes and replugging, changing the filter, and verifying the water supply line, but nothing helps. Water dispenses normally, but the ice maker is a complete flop. Then I read about how another customer was thrilled at LG sending a tech to his place to replace the motherboard that operates the ice maker (amongst other things Id imagine) because this problem is one that LG has known about for some time. Yet to me, they simply replied that there was nothing I could do and that I needed to schedule an appointment. So lets see. Should I continue using my 50 cent ice tray in the freezer or call in their $150/hr tech? Hmm. If this had happened to a car maker, theyd recall it and make good on repairs. LG? Never again will I buy this companys appliances.

Just under two years, both refrigerator & freezer stopped cooling. Thankfully we bought the extended warranty. It will be around 2 weeks before this fridge will be running again. Techs need to come out a diagnosis issue before bringing parts. Waiting a week for someone to even come look at this is crazy. Reading on the internet this is a very common issue with LG fridges. Compressors failing after 2 years. I really regret buying this fridge when we renoed the kitchen. My old one is in the garage with zero issues after 12 years.

I bought the washer and dryer three years ago. Six months after the purchase the hot water stopped going into the washer so I just washed with cold. I had two techs check out this machine. One couldnt figure out what was wrong and the second told me I need a whole control panel. That was to the tune of $400.00 plus service call. Now you are wondering why I didnt get this cared for during the first six months. Well I had brain surgery and even had to learn to walk again so that washer was not my priority at that time. Guess Ill continue with cold water. Never again!!!

Our LG LRBN22514ST refrigerator works fine, but the handles on the refrigerator AND the freezer have broken off! The handles are fine, but LG uses PLASTIC mountings that give out over time - really poor choice! Why not use metal mounts and charge a dollar or two more? If I could’ve given this zero stars I would’ve. I bought this LG (Life is Good) top loader washing machine and LG Dryer because my old dryer finally broke after 10 years of usage. My previous washing Machine worked fine but the wife wanted the new LG dryer to match a new LG washing machine. So we bought the set. After maybe 4-5 years I noticed some rust on the inside of the body of the washer. Well that rust spot got bigger and more rust spots began to pop up. After many failed attempts with LG customer service and their service technician in my area the end results were that they would not repair or replace the washer. It is considered a cosmetic issue. The rust has dropped into the washer with the clean clothes defeating the purpose of cleaning the clothes. It now has become a hassle pulling the so called clean clothes out of the washer without touching the sides or the top because it’s all rusty. I’ve sent LG pictures of the rust at their request with no response. During the time of purchase we also bought other LG appliances. I’ve had problems with their microwave, stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. My older appliances I had that were much less expensive outlasted the very expensive LG CRAP I bought. Don’t buy LG!!

Well, Ive finally had it with this machine. We bought it & the matching electric dryer from former homeowners when we bought their house. Guess we should have done more research into the plethora of problems these sorry excuse for an appliance really have. These junkers wouldve been out on the road the second we moved in. First, within a month the dryer died. One morning I turned it on & it started smoking, so that was that. Out to the curb! Next, we had been using the LG steam washer for about 4 months & continually noticed water on the floor around it. Never really found where it was coming from other than a drip streak down the side around the detergent drawer where you add the soap/bleach. Another issue was the door lock kept malfunctioning & wouldnt let the load run unless you either slammed the door shut or put pressure on it with your knee when it was trying to lock. Then the thing would sound like a 747 taking off when it was in spin mode. It would shake violently & eventually wake up the baby with its deafening whir. Finally, it showed an error message saying the pump wasnt able to drain the tub because of a clog or something. So I got on my hands & knees to screw open the drain trap & 5 gallons of water came gushing out all over the floor. There is a small rubber hose down there also, but when I took out the plug on the end of it no water drained out. What gives LG? Do you need a wet/dry vac at the ready to do this procedure or a stack of towels so you dont trash the floor? Very poor design! And doing this did absolutely nothing. Same error code came up & the pump just sickly rumbled. So it is now out on the curb also awaiting a trip to the dump where it belongs. Please, everyone, do not buy these piece of refuse appliances from LG. You will only bring upon yourself great pain & grief. Time to break out the old GE top loader that I know works fine. Glad I held onto it for back up. DONT BUY LG!!!

Bought an LG French door fridge for $2,500 18 months ago and first the ice maker stopped working at exactly a week past 12 months, so out of warranty. Paid extra just to have that ice maker, what a waste, so this morning we find ice cream melted and steaks thawed in the freezer. Oh great, the freezer is broke at 18 months. Call LG and they say they will pay for the parts to fix the freezer but we have to pay for labor, guess how much? They say starts at $500 and that is if it is what they think is the problem. I dont think so. I would rather take that money and buy a different brand that will last. Model WT4970CW LG WaveForce True Balance. Just read several complaints about the LG washing machine. Bought in June 2013 from Best Buy and has consistently had an EU error on more than off. Tried balancing it with a leveler but as soon as it didnt like a load (light loads mostly), it would rattle loudly and move!!! Yes I put up with it for this long but when I went to ConsumerAffairs and saw all the complaints on this model. I called LG who promptly told me it was out of warranty and I could buy a one year warranty for $349.00 or a 60 day warranty for $224.00. After reading the continuing problems after repair, we are going to put this money into a new washer. Im going back to Maytag. Had it for over 15 years and never a problem!!! I agree LG=lousy garbage. This appliance needs to be taken off the market!!!

We too made the mistake of purchasing an LG front loading washer and dryer
We too made the mistake of purchasing an LG front loading washer and dryer from Best Buy. After just 15 months, the circuit board on the dryer went out. The technician that came out told us it was probably because of the vibrations from the washer which the dryer was stacked on top of. The salesperson at Home Depot, who sold us the stacking package, never indicated that this could create a problem. Lucky for us that when I called LG, they agreed to extend our warranty enough to cover the bad circuit board. They would not refund the $85 I spent having a technician come to my house to diagnose the original problem. I have read a lot of complaints about LG washers and dryers and I cannot believe that no consumer groups or the consumer protection agency of our government have not jumped all over this. A dryer used under normal conditions should work for years without any of the types of major problems that are being noted all over the internet. I, for one, will never buy an appliance from Best Buy nor another LG appliance.

I called LG service department to warranty my dishwasher pump motor for loud grind, knock noise and found my warranty void due to me diagnosing my own dishwasher (my factory warranty will only cover the part not labor). I offered to send the motor to LG confirm default in pump and I offered to pay a LG service tech to diagnose and confirm the problem with the pump motor and let LG refund me for the service call after confirmation of default, but turned down for both. My only option would have been to pay labor for diagnosis and repair to receive my warranty part for a 6-year-old dishwasher, but does not matter now. Our LG fridge LFX28968SW was already in our house when we moved in Apr 2017
Our LG fridge LFX28968SW was already in our house when we moved in Apr 2017. However, the label is stamped with manufactured 2013 so it cant be more than 4 years old. This model lists for $2,400 ++. It is a beautiful appliance, but beauty is only skin deep here. The fridge stopped cooling and freezing in Aug 2017; thats way too soon for a durable goods product. ALL of my previous fridges (Amanda, Frigidaire, Kitchen Aid) lasted over 10 years without issue when I left them for the next homeowner. The one homeowner says Frigidaire is still running without issue and its over 17 years. Anyway, I called LG customer service and we ran the SMART Diagnosis process but the rep said it didnt reveal any errors; I guess it isnt so smart after all. We did get the unit to display a error code 22, which according to the LG website, indicates a compressor relay failure. Its a small, easily accessible, inexpensive part ($12 for similar parts on Amazon) but LG customer service refused to provide me with a parts list and service manual and said that only LG certified techs can repair it. Since the remaining LG warranty only covers parts, Im guessing at least $200-$350 labor costs based on posts for similar repairs. So, after 3 days of waiting on the LG recommended techs to make an appointment, I contacted a repairman recommended by 2-10 Home Warranty. They came next day and replaced the relay but it still isnt working; so much for the reliability of the error codes. He said a fuse on the control board blew and since the fuse is soldered in, the whole board needs replaced. (PS I have the fridge on a surge protector). I asked him candidly if this was an ongoing problem, his response was he does several per month but unfortunately cant keep the boards in stock so its at least another week to get the replacement part. So after two weeks, Im still living out of coolers and my daughters dorm room fridge.Luckily we had the 2-10 Home Warranty that came with the purchase of our home. Otherwise, the cost would be significantly higher. So Im looking at a $100 deductible, plus cost of food spoilage, plus cost of ice for coolers. In addition to the cost, its a huge inconvenience to constantly manage the issue (phone calls, service appointments, waiting on parts, swapping ice, etc) all this to fix a supposed top of the line fridge. Its not right to have a durable goods product fail after 4 years, and based on my experience with customer service, and based on parts availability, and based on responsiveness of the LG techs, and based the blogs, I wont buy any LG product no matter what it is. The internet mentions a class action suit brewing, I will surely sign on when I get the right contact.

On June 6, 2010 I bought an LG wm2301hr washer from Best Buy. Today we found that this washer had a slow leak in a faulty valve at the top of this unit that must have been leaking for a while. It was just a slow steady drip for a long time until today 3-2-2012. The way we found was that there’s a moldy smell in the closet behind the wash room with lots of black mold growing under the baseboards. Now, we have ruined carpet, ruined clothes, ruined sheetrock and baseboards and a washer that I have to fix myself. I expected a lot more quality for an $1100.00 washer. Best Buy said sorry. LG said sorry out of warranty. Wow, with the water dripping on the motor, I don’t even know if the machine is safe to put back in service. Any help would be great!

I waited till today morning. Since Lockdown was announced, I arranged with private company and got repaired within 4 hours. Change your logo “LG Never care” instead of “LG Care”. Waste of Time. Waste of food kept in fridge. Since you failed to rectify my repair, pls return my amount ₹649.

I purchased an LG just under 3 years ago. At the end of May 2014, the freezer stopped working. On June 2nd, I had an LG certified company come out to repair it. As it turned out the heating element at the bottom of the freezer melted the plastic back panel on the inside. THEREIN is where all the torment has ensued!!!! They would have to ORDER the panel and as of Today August 11th, 2014 even after contacting LG directly, I still DO NOT have a panel or a fridge that works. IT CONTINUES TO BE ON BACK ORDER and LG did not know if they could help me unless I purchased the fridge from an AUTHORIZED DEALER, who cares where I purchased the fridge? I paid for it, it is THEIR product. If Im willing to pay to get the 65.00 part who cares where I purchased the fridge? LG has been of NO help whatsoever!!!!!! I cant believe it truly matters where an item is purchased. IT is their product and they should care about taking care of the customer... Maybe because I work in retail and I believe in taking care of the customer. I expect the same treatment when I myself am the paying customer... Dont you agree?????

I purchased an LG electric range and refrigerator. An extended warranty was not purchased, as I didnt feel a $1400.00 range and $1700.00 refrigerator would require repairs in a 5-year period. The refrigerator has been problematic (leaks and broken plastic drawers), but it keeps the food cold. So well deal with the unsightly leaks and work to the best of our ability to keep our expensive wood floor dry. My current problem is my electric range. It quit working altogether, and by reading many complaints, the model is infamous for this breakdown. In speaking to LG customer service department, the only remedy she could offer is the name and number for the only repairman they have contracted in the Louisville area. An appointment was arranged with Universal Appliance, which was confirmed before I took 5 hours of unpaid time off from work. Needless to say, they did not show up. I was given an explanation and told they would be here before 10 am the following day (more unpaid time off work). It is 9:55 am and still no repairman. I am left with a non-working 2-year-old electric range and up to this point $150.00 pay deduction. I am disappointed in the sub-standard quality of my LG products and feel I have no recourse.

It met all my standard and recommend to everyone. The price was reasonable too. The color and style I loved and was exactly what I was looking for. I will always buy an LG fridge and tell everyone about it. I loved the ice maker and there was so much room for me to store all my groceries. Very clean and open. Loved the space on the doors and had enough room for all the condiments. The shelves were perfectly spaced and had enough room. There is nothing really that I did not like about it. It was exactly what I was looking for and the price range was perfect.

I bought this top of the line washer and matching dryer because my wife has never had very much because we both work unskilled labor jobs. She was so happy I even bought the 400 dollar matching pedestals. They look beautiful to this day but they break a lot, cant go 6 months without a problem. Worst set I have ever owned. I wish I would have gone to Sears and got a basic top loader with proven track record. I know I could have bought 3 sets for the price of the LGs. Never again LG. Where is our great Consumer protection agency at? I could have bought her a nice car for the money I have spent keeping these two LGs running since 2006. When I wear my clothes they stink. I guess we need to go back to doing our clothes at the Laundromat.

We purchased a LG washer several years ago from Home Depot. It is a nightmare. It smells horrible. I have to leave the door open whenever it is not in use. It only works on one type of wash cycle...the speed cycle. All of the rest do not release detergent into the wash. The washer makes so much noise and lights flashing that my papillon stands back and barks from afar. No matter if I choose 20 minutes for delicate or speed cycle that says 30 minutes it takes an hour. I bought used Maytag and wish everyday that I could own any brand but LG, and I will never buy anything that saves water again. How much is my time worth? A lot. I will join you in any lawsuit or civil action. These machines are horrible and expensive. What a waste. But I laughed so hard reading the posts, I am sure it added years to my life. I was looking online to see if I could throw the detergent in with the clothes because the dispenser does not work anymore.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $24
We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $2400.00 a little over three years ago. Recently that refrigerator just died and we lost all of our food and had a water mess to clean up. We contacted Lowes and of course the extended warranty expired just a few months prior and they could do nothing for us short of selling us a new refrigerator. We contacted LG and they agreed that it was probably a bad compressor which they warranty for ten years. They sent a new compressor and associated parts directly to our house and contacted a local appliance repair company to come and do the repairs. Thats when the nightmare really began. The repair company scheduled us 8 days out and when the repairman showed up he said he couldnt fix it then because it was a three hour job and he needed more parts. We were rescheduled for another 11 days out. The day before that appointment it was canceled for unknown reasons. The next scheduled appointment was a week away. This time a different repairman showed up and he had no idea that someone had already been there previous and that the compressor and parts were at the house. He left to go get refrigerant and we never heard from him again. That was day 26 without a refrigerator. I finally just contacted a recommended local appliance repairman and he came and replaced the compressor the next day. What a nightmare! Well never buy another LG appliance EVER, and will warn everyone we know to avoid them also.

We purchased 4 top of the line LG appliances (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave) for our newly remodeled kitchen in 2018. Unbelievably 3 out of the 4 have had issues requiring a service call only one of which was covered by warranty. They were all manufacturer defects and not normal wear and tear. So far, repairs have cost me $550. Needless to say, I will never purchase another product from this company and hope that I have spared you from making the same mistake I did.

Purchased our first big purchase for our kitchen remodel. All LG products. Stainless steel. Big upgrade for us. The dishwasher had 2 minor problems that we were able to fix. Our refrigerator (model LFX28978ST/0) although has had 3 of the shelves in the door cracked, a rolling wheel on the Vegetable bin broke, the clear cover on the butter dish broke and the ice tray cracked. All within 3 year of purchase. LG suggests we purchase the entire ice maker $180 just for a $10 ice tray, the vegetable bin is no longer available. The other parts I was able to purchase at $150. After contacting LG I understand they dont even sell replacement parts. You have to go through a parts business. I will never purchase another LG product again and I will make sure all my friends, family and all my contacts on Facebook know about the terrible customer service and shoddy craftsmanship LG has.

I have emailed pictures to LG only to be told I did service my washer machine. How do you service a washer machine for rust? LG notified me to contact Home Depot for them to fix it or just buy spray paint to cover the rust. Home Depot stated it is a defect, that LG needs to repair it if not replace it due to defect product. After making numerous calls, I have come to the point neither stands by their product. This isnt a cosmetic issue. It is called junk defected product. Anyone looking to buy anything from LG dont do it. There is better out there. We bought a wonderful french door stainless LG frig with all the features we wanted. Twice we woke up and the fridge temperature was above 45F. We thought that we left a door open or the power had gone out. On the third time - with water everywhere in the kitchen and the interior temperature above 50F we called LG and asked for repair. The fridge is less than 15 months old and we paid $2975. It took most of the day to get through all of the automated phone questions, when we finally spoke to a person they said that they would arrange for a repair company to contact us. That took 3 days before we heard from a company (who gets 1 star reviews on yelp) and it took more than a week for them to schedule a repair person who confirmed what LG told them needed to be done. It has been more than 3 weeks and we still do not have our refrigerator repaired. We have had 3 canceled repair appointments and one that did not show up. LG needs to do better than this. We purchased the top of the line refrigerator - this is our third LG fridge and two of them have had problems but their lack of response for repair is unbelievable. We actually got a call from them asking about our customer service experience - how about terrible? We are living out of an ice chest and all of our food has been ruined 3 times. And we still do not have a working fridge.

This has the same style filter as all of my previous dishwashers, but this ones filter assembly does not come apart for cleaning. When the glasses have sandy bits left on them I remove the lower spray arm and the water guide tube on the back and take out the grids, screens, and mesh screens in the bottom. After brushing and rinsing everything I put it back together and it is good to go for another 6-8 months. The problem with this unit is that the lower screens, grids, and mesh is one-piece. It does not come apart. There is trapped grunge inside and I can shake some of it out, but most of it remains trapped. I called the company. She just kept repeating the manual- It is self-cleaning, you do not need to clean it, removing it voids the warranty. The manager said to call the repair technician. I ordered her to send me to their service/repair department so they can advise me how to clean this unit. She said they wont speak to me unless I am an authorized technician with an official technician number. She kept trying to set me up with an appointment with a repairman- while telling me that the warranty wont cover this. I will have to rinse and shake the filter unit and hope I can get out; if not, I can order a new one from Sears for $60.

My newly purchased LG refrigerator had a continuous leak/drip from the wate
My newly purchased LG refrigerator had a continuous leak/drip from the water dispenser immediately after installation. After six attempts to fix it, LG decided to deem it normal rather than fixing the problem. A few weeks after owning this refrigerator, water started dripping from the water filter inside the refrigerator. LG refused to fix this issue and told me that I would have to pay for the repair. In my interactions with LG, the customer service supervisor was demeaning, condescending, rude, and unhelpful. I wrote LG corporate headquarters to notify them of my horrible experience with LG and to ensure that they knew that I was unhappy with their product and their customer service. Their response was that the refrigerator was working as designed. They never apologized for my experience. After owning this refrigerator for less than 3 months and it never working right, I decided to call the place that I purchased to exchange to a different brand. I will never purchase any LG product again and I would recommend that you look at a different brand like KitchenAid or Kenmore.

The cooling system completely died in Dec. of 2018. Less than 2 years out of this refrigerator! We immediately called LG for service. 3 weeks later and 5 canceled service appointments later we have yet to see a repair technician or have any resolution to this matter. I have spent countless hours on the phone with both LG and their service company AE. Both have given me endless runaround and not been able to tell me why all of our appointments were canceled nor find a technician to service us. BUY ANYTHING BUT LG. HORRIBLE PRODUCT. I bought my LG refrigerator in 2009. The door for the freezer jammed and the ball bearings fell out. None of the three doors shut well and often remain ajar unless you put your weight into it (small children cant close them). The icemaker does not shut off automatically when the ice tray is full. Now, two years later, the fridge literally stopped working on me and I’m feeding my two small children out of ice chests surrounding the kitchen floor. We bought a warranty (about to expire) and it takes 4 working days to repair as these are factory ordered parts not in inventory. Waited on hold for 20 min. to talk to a supervisor who was EXTREMLY RUDE!!! Only to be told we made that appointment with A&E even when I told him we never did. He ignored me so much for customer being right. Then he put me on hold for 20 more min. to cancel that appointment and put me on a list for a scheduler to call me back for an appointment another 3-5 business days. But now they are not giving me runaround according to the supervisor!!! But lo behold today they called me with an appointment for Saturday AM. I am overjoyed. Purchased LG French Door M/N LMXS30776S/03 during Best Buy Labor Day sale September 2016. Purchased Geek Squad coverage, because, hey $4k fridge, that would suck. Immediately noticed $5/month drop in electric bill. Great start! March 2017 I start hearing noises that werent there for the 1st 6 months. Call up Geek Squad, they send someone out immediately. They diagnose problem as compressor, which they are not allowed to touch. Call up LG. It takes me 5 calls over 2 weeks to get a technician to come out. April 2017 tech diagnoses that the noise is within normal range, no fix available. Early August my daughter starts complaining about warm cheese in her sandwiches. No one else complains in the house. Late August I learn that I had sent my daughter to school with spoiled milk (I informed her before she drank it). Thought maybe it might have been older milk, but I was pretty sure it was fresh. 2nd Monday Sept. I touch a Gatorade that had been frozen and moved to fridge door and it is warm to touch. I take an instant read thermometer and plunge it into various food and drink and measure temperatures of 57, 57, and 51 (drawer) deg. F. Call LG. Am told it will be 3-5 days before I am recontacted by an LG tech. Sept 12. Call Geek Squad and the next day I have someone out who diagnoses that the compressor is not working. Buy ice cream because I thought the freezer was working as it frozen some leftovers on Monday. Alas, the ice cream is pretty much just below melting point. Sept. 13, 2017: Waiting to hear back from both LG and Geek Squad to see what path to take. Geek Squad has been incredibly responsive. LG, not so much.

Updated on 07/03/2019: This review is the follow-up of my prior review on 7/2/19 of my expensive LG refrigerator that was purchased in April of 2016 and stopped working after just 3 years on 7/2/19. I made contact to an Appliance repair company since obviously my family can not go without a refrigerator. I was told this repair is a compressor issue and with the cost of a new compressor along with the labor cost, my repair for this nearly new refrigeration will be approximately $900.00-$1000.00 to repair. My refrigerator was obviously the most expensive item of my ridiculous $5000.00 LG appliance kitchen package purchase! Now, I’m looking at an additional cost of possibly another $1000.00 for what should definitely still be under warranty for at least an additional two (2) years, along with the loss of well over $500.00 in spoiled food during a Holiday week. My family is now scrambling to get some food and attempt to enjoy the Holiday, however, we obviously do not have a place to even store the food we have to buy once again since we need to buy another refrigerator also! I would never pay another $1000.00 to fix a LG piece of garbage that dies in 3 years. It appears this terrible Company realized they ripped off everyone who purchased their junk products prior to January 2018 since their website now provides the normal five (5) year warranty like every other company always did, but hey they made a lot of money ripping people off prior. I will reiterate and cannot stress enough, stay away and don’t trust anything from LG and their expensive awful appliances now or ever.Original Review: I purchased a complete four (4) piece LG kitchen appliance package for over $5000.00 in April of 2016 and now only 3 years later this refrigerator stopped cooling and all of our food was ruined. I checked online for the warranty and their site unbelievably stated I was out of warranty after one (1) year and would require a paid service call to assess and repair this refrigerator. There is not one (1) other company out there that would provide only a 1 year warranty on an expensive refrigerator, that is just totally unheard of. I also had a problem with their stove after only 6 months but they were forced to fix that issue under their terrible warranty program. In checking their website warranty page they now have a notation stating appliances purchased after January 2018 have a 5 year warranty, seriously my products are only from 2016. My advice is to stay away from all LG appliances, they are horrible products!

I absolutely could not get anyone to answer my calls. I purchased a washing machine in 2005 and it was starting to smell terrible by 2006. In 2009, it produced error readings so I purchased a new pump. In 2011, it started making noise. I took it upon myself and found out that the support brace that holds the inner drum rotted and broke off in three places. I have soft water and am a registered master plumber. The material used in this brace was no more than cast aluminum or pot metal (neither of the two should be used in a piece of equipment like this). The drum is stainless. What a waste.

New LG washing machine from Home Depot. Right away problems. 5-6 calls over 2 months. Nothing is being done to improve this situation. They keep promising theyll send me a new one. I filled out the correct paperwork and they continue to ignore me. Several times I have been given a phone number that doesnt work. Almost all service people cannot speak clear enough English and it makes the entire process very frustrating. Stay away from LG.

I chose to buy it because it was a good price and the correct size and color, and also the LG refrigerator met my initial expectations. The LG refrigerator had basic features. For example, it kept my food very chilly, nice and cold but not too cold. Just right I would say. The only thing I dont like about really any refrigerator is that they dont have a self clean option.

Will tell people not to buy LG as the parts and service is very poor. They dont care about customers. Just wasted 1 month of food and Home Depot wont help out to try to get someone out to help.

The appliances in my kitchen, dishwasher, stove and refrigerator, are all solid black and not stainless steel black and LG. My dishwasher has a stainless steel interior and is extremely quiet. When the cover is over the sink where the disposal connected as well as the dishwasher it can not be heard at all, absolutely no sound. It is a Direct Drive system which has various wash cycles, sanitary, extra dry, extra rinse and delay cycle. It also has a child lock which I found useful around my grandchildren. I would strongly recommend the dishwasher if you have small children.

On September 7th, 2018, Home Depot Canada delivered an LG LFXC24726S refrigerator I had purchased on August 30th. I had researched refrigerators prior to going to Home Depot and relied on the salesman’s recommendation for either the LG or Samsung 3 door French style with external water and ice. Periodically during the first 9 months the defrost cycle seemed to run too long and things would be warm in both the refrigerator and freezer. On July 28th the unit stopped cooling completely. 4 hours later it started cooling again. Late afternoon on July 29th it stopped cooling again and I lost the contents of the refrigerator and the freezer that night. After repeated calls to LG on the morning of July 30th and having to send pictures of my invoice from Home Depot I was finally put through to the appliance repair service that handles their warranty repairs as a “priority”. The earliest anyone could come to look at it was 2 days later on August 1st. On July 31st the unit started cooling again. The technician could not determine what the problem was on August 1st so he decided to order a new main board. Cooling was intermittent after his visit and then the unit started freezing items in the refrigerator. On August 8th the part arrived and the repair service set up to replace the board on August 15th. The same technician did the repair and he was done in 20 minutes. The refrigerator worked fine for the 15th and the 16th but sometime in the early morning hours of August 17th it stopped cooling again completely and for the second time in less than a month I have lost hundreds of dollars of food. LG uses a repair service which does not work on the weekends and does not provide any emergency service. After more than an hour on the phone and on hold with LG’s Canadian customer service in Panama, I had to start over from scratch and send pictures of my purchase invoice AGAIN. Disgusting customer service and I am left with no refrigerator, garbage bags full of spoiled food and nothing more than an email sent to the same repair company with instructions for me to call them on Monday and book a service appointment. LG is aware of the issues with their sealed systems and linear inverters and there currently is a class-action lawsuit on behalf of consumers. How disappointing that they have not done anything to correct the problems and consumers are left with a useless piece of junk in their kitchen. Also very disturbing that Consumers Reports continues to recommend these defective refrigerators. I have subscribed for years to Consumers Reports magazine and believed their testing results but no more. DON’T BUY LG!

We purchased an LG front-load washer online. It was delivered on 12/3/13. It quit working after 2 loads, showing a dE error message (supposedly a door/latch problem of some sort). The appliance serviceman sent to our house by LG made 4 unsuccessful attempts to fix it, over a span of about 4 weeks. He tried replacing both the latch (twice) and the door (twice). After this, LG wanted the service company to order still more parts for more repair attempts, but the service company finally called and told us to call LG and tell them you want a new machine. We did, last week. After several days I called LG again. Nothing had happened, since they required an official receipt (proof of purchase), which wasnt mentioned in the previous call. The LG rep then said to allow 4-5 days for a resolution. Today I called back and was told it takes 7 days for the claim investigation to be completed. So its been 5 1/2 weeks since weve had a working washer, and only God knows when well have one again. Instead, were treated to multiple trips to distant laundromats and picturesque, sky-high piles of unwashed clothes. And many fun hours on the phone, sending emails, and awaiting the repairman, who by now seems like a member of the family.

Bought a LG Dishwasher, LG Fridge, and LG range. All look very smart! Dishwasher ran for 6 months, then noise started. Engine issues. Fixed on warranty. Broke again. Advised to replace unit after it failed again after warranty. Fridge plastic rakes broke. Replaced on warranty. Cheaply made poor design. Broke again after warranty. Last night the light/control unit caught fire and melted the inside top of unit. Temp was very hot and filled with smoke. Found out from former service company that there is a call back due to fire hazard. They service all major appliances. They will not service LG. Called LG. They did not offer much until I raised the service bulletin. Range: electronic board fried and was replaced on warranty. Now off warranty, two elements are burned out. Called LG and asked for parts. Refused. They will send a repairman?

This the worst dryer I have ever had! Wish I had never bought it. It started having problems immediately shutting off 5 minutes or less as soon as started with smaller and larger loads even with normal loads sometimes on every cycle except speed cycle which is the only cycle that you can adjust the time and temp on. I called LG and they conned me into thinking it was ok by doing some bogus test over the phone. The dry sensor is in the lint filter which is so narrow there is no way to clean it properly, it gets clogged easily so the sensor can’t tell if clothes are dry or wet and she told me that it was a problem anyway with larger or smaller loads, wtf? My sensor was not even dirty then. I have tried cleaning the filter case and it is impossible, it is too narrow to get my small hands in and too narrow for any of the numerous vacuum attachments I have tried. This is the worst design I have ever seen in my life!!!!I called for service finally with an extended plan with PC Richard and they were terrible.. Poop had gotten in the dryer and was in the filter case and he refused to remove the whole thing or even show me how to do it. He stuck a brush in and then turned it on and huge amounts of stuff went into the exit pipe, but it is still full of gunk and lint. He was not able to clean it properly with a brush either or just couldn’t be bothered.I wish I had returned immediately and bought a Speed Queen which will be my next dryer. I will never buy an LG product ever again and I may not purchase at PC Richard again either. Neither is helping at all yet with this situation. LG offered to send their own tech out after I demanded to speak with a supervisor, but she said I would be charged if they determined it was not a mechanical, etc. issue. Well, guess what, it IS a mechanical issue because of your crappy design. This is a terrible design flaw and the company does not stand behind their product and now apparently neither does PC Richard who we have purchased everything from for years.

We purchased a brand new LG french door refrigerator (bottom drawer freezer and 2 door refrigerator with ice and water in the door). We purchased it through Home Depot for $2200 in April 2016. We researched and shopped around and felt good about the purchase. Didnt buy extended warranty - why would we... its a brand new fridge with manufacturers warranty and solid company right?? WRONG!!!I NEVER write online reviews. This experience is so shockingly horrible I had to submit a review. The ice in the door constantly melts and refreezes. When it refreezes it bonds the giant chunk of ice from the ice maker to the door. You need an icepick or a crowbar to then remove the ice maker from the door. Of course, as soon as you pry it apart, the entire bin of ice and melted water drops onto the floor and all around your feet. The melted ice block fills every nook 6 inches deep into the ice maker. Again, using an icepick you can chop up the ice and use your vacuum or spoons to extract all the ice.Home Depot wont touch this. Refer you to LG Customer Service. Took multiple calls and LG over the phone told us it was our fault and we must be leaving refrigerator door open too long and were melting the ice. They told us to open the refrigerator door NO MORE THAN 1-2 TIMES PER DAY??? Finally, they sent a technician. The technician reviewed the fridge and told me LG is terrible and he sees this all the time. However, his report back to LG indicated he found no issues. LG issued report to us that we need to TURN OFF THE ICEMAKER every night before bed and empty the bin. In the morning we can turn the ice maker back on but that we MUST USE ALL THE ICE EACH DAY OR TURN IT OFF. They claim the ice maker is so efficient and meant to make more ice than we can use because they were getting complaints it wouldnt make enough ice. So weve been turning the ice maker on and off each day - which makes us open the refrigerator doors twice a day by the way. And the problem is still there. Thanks LG!! What a waste of $2200. A waste of many peoples time in your games and a ridiculous strategy. Buyers are savvy and expect more than stupid answers. A very unsatisfied customer who is also a realtor and refers people to buy new appliances all the time! Will make sure people dont buy LG for sure!

We bought a gas LG range in November 2017, we got the matching refrigerator
We bought a gas LG range in November 2017, we got the matching refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and range after we bought a new house. We did not start using it until February 2018 when we moved into the house. Since that time the oven would periodically say it was at temperature but when you open the oven to put in whatever you were cooking you could tell that it was not up to temperature. At first it was sporadic and I thought at first I was doing something wrong. Then it was every time that you would try to use the oven it would not stay up to temperature. Called and got a repair person to come out, under warranty, and we were told the ignitor was bad and it was replaced. It was less than a month later that it was doing the same thing. The repair person came out again, said again it was an ignitor issue. Ignitor was replaced again. (This time it was not within the warranty period.) Its been a couple months since the ignitor was replaced for the 2nd time and it is doing it again. I will never buy another LG appliance again. When you own an oven you expect that you can use it. Just thankful that the neighbor doesnt mind me using their oven to cook my meals.

I bought a LG refrigerator from Home Depot LFX25960ST in 2007. The ice maker has broken down twice which needed servicing. In Feb 2014, just like the other consumer complaint, we smelled something burning and realized that the light fixture housing had completely burnt and melted. Even the light bulb was melted. We called LG and the technician came out the very next day. Told us that this is a common issue and just replaced the light housing without address to the fridges melted ceiling. Told us to use 40 watts light bulb instead of the manual recommended 60 watts (which we had been using). When I contacted LG and submitted pictures and wanted to file a products liability claim, twice they replied via email and plainly rejected it. I now today told them that I will seek social media and legal counsel. I am now waiting for their response.

Not satisfied with my LG Refrigerator #LFX25991ST. I purchased this refrigerator in February 17, 2013 and now the freezer/and main food compartment doesnt cool or freeze. However, the interior light does work. Called LG and they advised me that a Tech would be out in two days to check it out. So we bought ice. The Tech did arrive in two days, checked it out and found that the compressor had failed. My Fridge is still under warranty and should not have a problem getting it fixed, but its new. I kind of look at the fridge as buying a car, turns bad there is a lemon law that protects the customer. The compressor is like the engine of a car going bad. Well, the Tech did call in to Atlanta, Georgia to request a new compressor and should arrive in two days. He said it would take three (3) hours to replace. We will see this Thursday, Jul 25, 2013, if he is correct or even shows up.

Bought a LG washing machine in December of 2011. In October of 2014 it just died with no warning. It cost $336.31 to fix. I tried to get help from LG with the cost of the repair and they either hang up on you or keep you on hold so long that the call gets lost. Even when you give them the information they ask for, they are still unwilling to help you with the cost of fixing it. They really act like they do not care about the financial burden in the consumer. The main board had to be replaced after less than 3 years. I bought my LG French door refrigerator in 2011 and its pretty much dead now. The ice maker was always flakey but we lived with it. The gasket doors started hanging up and we lived through it. Then ice maker stopped making ice. Ordered new ice maker but found out that it was not making ice because it was not cold enough. Cleaned the coils and it just slowly got worse. Ordered a temp sensor and the main pcb. Tried those parts but still not cooling properly. Called LG. I figured it was the compressor because I read that LG was using bad compressors. Paid a certified LG service provider 600.00 in labor to replace compressor.Called Friday and by Tuesday they were replacing the compressor, wow Im feeling good about now. Two guys 4 or 5 hrs later and calls to LG and they were told they needed the main pcb. I gave them the new pcb I had ordered and the same problem persisted. The compressor shuts down after 15 minutes. They said they would have to order another one from LG and come back. After not hearing for a couple of days I called them and ask them What was up? They said that they ordered but because LG was having so many problems with these compressors they were back ordered and they had no idea when a new compressor would arrive. They said not their fault call LG and ask them.Call LG but they were useless. They said they were not having any issues with bad compressors and dont believe anything you read on the internet. I asked What about the service provider? Is he lying to me? LG responds that it does not take much to become a warranty service provider just ask to be one. No training. Wow! LG pretty much said 7 years is the lifespan of their products and then they become legacy and put at back of the bus. They will provide parts if they can get them. I own a LG55 inch tv that fail after about 5 years, found a main board out of Nova Scotia and was able to repair that. If it wasnt for that it would in the trash. So here is the problem I paid the service provider to replace the compressor and LG provided the part but if they have to come back to do it again who pays for that? LG can send another compressor but theyre not paying for the service. The service provider had two guys for about 4 to 5 hrs. Why would the service provider work for free? I can see this evolving into cant get parts from LG and LG saying they have no issues supplying good parts forever and never repairing my fridge. Thank god I did not but an LG exploding phone. It took them forever to recall those phones!

I bought this dishwasher in January 2015 and it has been a nightmare since I have had it. While under warranty LG had 5 different people out to fix it. I have not been able to use this dishwasher more than able to use it. I paid approximately $800.00 for this dishwasher and the one I had when I lived at an apartment was 100x better than this. Didnt clean well... ALWAYS problems with it. LG would not replace, kept fixing issues with it. I had to have the motor replaced, door replaced, dish soap dispenser replaced 2x, steam vent replaced, hoses replaced, seals replaced and it has been a lemon since day one. Again, last night after having yet another repairman out and only repaired about a couple of weeks ago, it breaks again and wont even come on. Seriously, what a piece of junk. Will never purchase another LG product again. Went out this morning and purchased another dishwasher. The LG is now out of warranty. Oh, and also one of the repairman told me that LG should just replace it and guess what, never heard from that repairman again. They said his work was not up to par... I have a front-load washer that has made me and my family very sick. Before I bought the front-load washer, I called LG customer service to get details on how to not have smell/mold problems in my machine. I was very diligent in cleaning it. I cleaned around the rubber area in the door, I drained the old water, cleaned the filter, cleaned inside the soap area and the took the soap dispenser out and cleaned that too, as well as running the tub clean cycle - using afresh, running it with bleach, running it with vinegar, leaving the door open, using HE soap, etc. I called LG to see what they could do because the smell was in my clean clothes. An LG tech came out to look at the machine regarding the smell and found that I did everything humanly possible to keep it clean. He called LG and they told him to take the tub to a car wash and spray it down (ridiculous). The tech went further, because he knew this would do nothing, and got approval to replace some parts (the back part of the tub had been discontinued???). In cleaning the machine, I watched as black mold and bacteria came out of the hoses and it was on the back of the tub. I took this information to the corporate level and I was told immediately that it was maintenance. I was shocked as to how Tish could tell me that it was my fault immediately without talking to the tech. It was only after I told her that the tech said that it was going to come back again, that she called him. After being left on hold for 15 mins., she got back on the phone and said that she spoke to the tech, his manager, and her manager, and that they were going to review my case.Well 1 week later I called back; Tish told me that they werent going to do anything. She said after talking to their legal department they decided that it was a maintenance issue. They said I misused the washing machine...HUH?? I have had allergic conjunctivitis so bad that my eye doctor and my specialist have told me to go 2 hrs. away to UVA because after 2-3 years of misery and steroid eye drops, dermatologist testing, allergy testing and numerous visits to doctors, they dont know what is wrong with me. Funny how now that the tub in my washer has been replaced and many parts steam cleaned, I dont have the zombie look anymore. It is still in the clothes and the sheets that we sleep in, but it has improved. Bottom line, LG corporate is programmed to blame the consumer, even if they have a defective product. They dont stand behind their name at all. BUY A SAMSUNG!!!

WARNING!!!! I was cleaning out my refrigerator and cleaning the glass shelves. I washed the large glass shelf after it had sat on my counter for about 15-20 minutes. I used lukewarm water and soap. After washing it it, I was drying it with a paper towel and it EXPLODED! YES literally EXPLODED not just broke. Glass everywhere! I had glass in my hall way, Glass on my cook top, glass on my espresso machine, Shards embedded in my kitchen window frame. Luckily I had my glasses on because I had shards in my glasses! Could have been my eyes! Glass shards in my lip, my arm and in my hair. My sinks were filled with it and I even had it in my Island sink and Under my Island! I asked my neighbor to help me get it out of my hair and the tiny fragments off my face. I reported it to LG and they did not seem real concerned but asked me to send them photos. Sent photos of my cuts and my glasses and the huge mess this caused. LG called and said Id have to get a technician to come. Id have to pay for it but may qualify for reimbursement of tech fee. Unbelievable. Im still in shock and now scared to death to ever clean it again. This is very dangerous!

I told them I would take the frig/unit and drop it in front of the store explaining to everyone what was wrong with it and worthless it was. They got connected online and reset it and it worked fine for a while. Now its doing it again. All of their units are worthless even their cell V10 & V20, their dishwasher its also another piece of crap. NEVER AGAIN will I ever buy LG. So far stove/oven and microwave works... but give it time. I had an LG front load in the washer for six years and the bearing started to go out and needed to be replaced. I called LG and they sold me a warranty to fix the problem. A week later I was contacted by a local appliance store, who came out and looked at my machine. They said yes, it was a bearing problem, but they were not sure that LG would actually authorize the repair, even though I had called LG and specifically requested a bearing repair replacement and they had listened to the machine as it was operating and agreed that it was a bearing problem. The repair technician called them and they did agree to repair my machine. He ordered the parts and two weeks later showed up to do the repair. He worked on my machine for about three hours and finally got the job done. After he had reassembled my machine he said it would be a good idea to run a cycle to make sure it was all cleaned out after the repair. Without me doing anything, he started the machine, which sounded like it was working properly. He left and a few minutes later I left for an appointment. When I came back about 20 minutes later the door on the machine was knocked open the trashcan next to the machine was knocked over water was all over the floor, And the breaker to the machine had been tripped. I called the repair man and he came back within about an hour and looked at the machine. Now the tub, the plastic one that encircles the steel one, has a crack in it and was vibrating so violently inside the machine cabinet that it broke the heating element compartment and spewed water all over the entire inside of the machine in the electronics in there. I called LG to inquire what to do now and they basically say that they will not cover this repair because I should’ve not left the house with the washing machine running unattended. ** believable… I cannot believe that a company would say some such BS to a customer who contacted their repair department, purchased their recommended extended warranty, and used their certified repair technician. And keep in mind it was the technician who at the end of the repair said it would be a good idea to run an empty cycle to clean everything out of the washer. And he did not say you need to stay in the house with your washing machine. And I would imagine almost everybody has washed clothes and left the house with the washer running.I feel that LG has demonstrated incredibly poor customer service and corporate malfeasance with the way they are abusing people with their worthless warranty. I am considering legal action, and possibly a class action lawsuit to see how many other people they have treated in this way. If you have been treated this way, please call me and leave a message at **. Leave your contact information and tell me about your LG warranty nightmare experience. I will write it up and hopefully turn the materials over to a law firm.Nobody should be treated as poorly as I was… Basically they sent a technician into my home who completely destroy my washing machine in an attempt to repair my machine that obviously went wrong, and now LG is blaming me. Ridiculous. Outrageous. Nobody should be allowed to do business this way. I will also be contacting one of our local TV affiliates who does stories on problems like this and see if they want to pick this up. I am pissed and I imagine there are a lot of other people out there just like me.

Electric Range model number LDE3017SW. After only using my electric range a couple of times, I noticed steam and grease lines inside the door between the two glass panels. These lines and this film and grease have continued to cover the inside of the double paned window. My range always looks dirty as if I need clean the door windows, but the grease lines and steam lines are on the inside. I called to ask them to come to fix the seal or replace the door and they said they are unable to do so unless I pay someone to come take the door apart to clean it. I should not have to disassemble the door to clean it. The seal between the window panes are faulty or defective. I had my first Maytag range for the first 34 years without anything beyond normal wear and tear from use. This LG one cooks and bakes well, but has this issue which is hard to look at everyday. Also, the top is white and the burner glass top areas already have stain. This is not as big of an issue for me as the streaked windows in the door. LG has refused to send anyone out at their cost when this is a manufacturers defect.

In Jan. 2011 we purchased a very large LG refrigerator and on Sept. 5, 2017 it died. I called several repairmen, from where we live in Ohio to the lakes to West Virginia to Pennsylvania same answer, no one works on LG refrigerator. They are throw away refrigerators. All of them said it sounded like the compressor went, which is still under guarantee from LG. I called LG and they gave me a phone number to call for repairs, which they did not know the location. It was in upstate New York, and they stated they dont work on LG s any longer. So off to Home Depot I went, where I purchased the refrigerator for $2300. They said they dont do anything with repairs. I would have to call LG. I explained I did but no one within a three state area works on LGs. Then while there I noticed a salesperson was selling an LG refrigerator with extended warranty to a customer. I said to the manager, I was talking with, Why are you still selling LG refrigerators and the extended warranty when you know there is no one to work on them? I stated. I felt this was consumer fraud and then they agree to give me a discount on a new refrigerator of my choice. I have been telling everyone I know not to purchase an LG refrigerator. All the repair people I spoke with also said even if I found someone to repair it you probably could not get a new compressor, as the parts come from Korea and it is very difficult to them.

Bought new bottom freezer french door refrigerator in February 2011, now in December 2011 fridge wont fully cool and water is leaking at the back left and from the bottom of the fridge. Called service at LG and they gave me a company who will fix. Four days later they called and said they do not service the area. Then LG gave me another company very far away and they didnt answer as they were on vacation. Finally after about 8 days, LG sent out someone who worked directly for them and he only fixed the filter and said everything else was fine. The temperature (noted by two new thermometers I have bought) inside was 42, despite the thermostat being set at 34! This man said it was the food that was supposed to be 34 not the air temperature! He said we needed to get a special thermometer to test the food temperature. That was crazy. The food was slowly going bad again. I have moved food in and out of he fridge because I have been told it needs to be empty for fixing and then told I could put food back in after it was fixed (it wasnt). This has happened three times. It is now three weeks later and while the water is no longer leaking, the fridge part is still not cooling properly. Their repair man says it is fixed. Very interesting that the warranty is going to be up in a few weeks. LG says someone will come out in three days. Why is it that they have no contract with fixer companies in my urban area (DC)? That is because the companies say LG pays very little to these companies and they dont want to work for them doing free warranty work. This is unacceptable.I have lost 100s of dollars of food over Christmas and New Year. I want all of us to file a class action lawsuit. I am truly fed up.

The easy clean oven feature is useless even if used weekly! Would advise everyone to save their money and avoid purchasing this appliance. I am so sorry I didn’t read reviews prior to my purchase. Surfaces especially on the sides of the oven are not cleaned. Even the scraper does not help because difficult to use on sides of oven where racks are. Can’t use easy off to help because of cleaning instructions. Just a terrible purchase.

This is the worst machine I have ever owned! It cannot get through a single cycle without an error being displayed and the washer shutting down. It takes hours to do one load of laundry. Will never buy one again.

Purchased our washer from Home Depot about (4) years ago, and if I could return it, I would. This has been the worst machine I have ever had. It doesnt dispense enough water to clearly wash clothes. I know this as my husband drives a truck for a living and brings home very grungy work clothes, and I can never get them spotless. Its really disappointing when you spend good money on appliances, to only have that money wasted on something you cant return. This machine smells, rattles and take forever to complete a cycle. Theres no rushing to get a load done at night. I could go to the laundromat faster!

Have an LG higher stainless dishwasher that has been determined needs to be replaced by tech. Was offered a white may tag and was told only option or 500 dollar cash. Have been trying to get thru to discuss this matter and cannot get thru after waiting hours for some one to answer the phone. No resolution or cannot talk to supervisor. Bad business on your part. No resolution as of yet.
